On our recent trip to Varazze, we tried a new beach every day. For our family of 4, this was one of our favorites due to the family friendly environment with lots to do for the little ones. Plus the actual beach was the nicest (and smoothest) of any of the others we visited. Would definitely recommend.

We tried to find free beach places with the kids. This place was full unfortunately, which is not a problem basically. The problem was the attitude of the old lady in the cash desk: she was not even looking up from her mobile phone, was a kind of phlegmatic. As a new customer, I would at least expect some help or guidance. I just received passive stolidity. My customer experience was terrible. I would not even return if free places were available next time.

Discovered by accident couple of days ago. Deserves 5 stars: swimming pool wtih slides for kids, a sort of kid playground zone well equipped. Staff is super friendly and gentle. Good food variety and (for Tesla owner) Tesla supercharger is literally 10mins walk. Well done to bagni Pinuccia!!

really friendly and great staff
there’s many amenities for kids - it’s perfect for families
Large geopark with hiking trails, historic towns, 3 forests, museums & Adriatic Sea coastline.
Absolutely stunning in regard to its immense beauty and sprawling landscape. The trip up the mountain can be a treacherous one in how this the roads are with little if any room to allow passersby, but to once at the top, its awe-inspiring. If you get motion sickness, it might be best to take a bit of nausea medicine before the ascent in that the roads are VERY windy and steep. I greatly recommend this marvelous wonder of nature (that's also great for mushroom picking)!

Beautiful place with many different paths for more or less experienced hiker. The park is very big and you can access from various points; from some paths it's possible to enjoy the quietness of the mountain and the view of the sea.
Mr Giagar — Google review
Excellent views and easily walkable paths and unpaved roads. The trees don't block the view, so one can see the whole coastline.

Pebble beach, for people who have more difficulty entering the water it is better to bring special shoes but still an equipped beach. Suitable for young people and families, there is a swimming pool for children and games for their enjoyment. At certain hours of the day they also have entertainment for the little ones. You can also stop for an aperitif before dinner and enjoy something fresh with a sea view.

(Translated by Google) Very friendly staff, restaurant with few average dishes but super fast service, we spent a pleasant day at the beach. The only major flaw is techno music at full volume with a DJ attached from lunch time until closing time. At the table I couldn't hear the voice of the person next to me. Music on the beach is fine but until a certain time it should act as background music (lounge style) so as not to break the eardrums of people who have come to relax!

(Translated by Google) The only beach with a dog area in the whole of Varazze, very pretty and large, a small mix-up because they made us pay for the first row but then assigned us the third... Little communication between the cash desk and the beach service. For the rest everything is fine, a couple plus a dog pays a fair amount and I would certainly happily go back. At the bar counter available both the gentleman who cooked some excellent mushroom aubergines, but above all a brown-haired girl with a foreign accent, very pretty, cheerful, easy-going and helpful.

(Translated by Google) Good morning, I'm giving 1 star because you can't do less.
I call all the beaches in Varazze to find out if you can take your dog into the water. But it can only be done on this beach.
I'm calling to ask for confirmation. (As you can see from the photo the weather is bad) They tell me we can come with the dog, but only the first row is available. Cost for sunbed and umbrella €50 there are 5 of us..+ dog.. I'll let you imagine 5 tourists who already have to walk 3 km to go down to the beach. I arrive here and as I imagined, all the sunbeds are free and not just the first row to make us pay more.
As you can see from the photo all sunbeds and rows are free.
Nothing at the end, next to it there is a free beach but dogs are prohibited from entering. But aren't the beach and the water the same as this beach??? They only do it to make extra money. Horrible. Really disgusted.

Orrendo. Veramente disgustata.

(Translated by Google) A beautiful walk ...
but it could be so much better. 4 years after the storm that had destroyed it in several places and still to be finished 👏. Total absence of benches along the way 😢 I don't find it very hospitable. The worst thing is the lack of distinction between the pedestrian and the cycling path ... leaving the latter free to run anywhere without respecting pedestrians. Very dangerous. The landscape pays off but as usual ... unfinished !!! 🤬

Molto pericoloso. 🤬

(Translated by Google) The walk deserves 5 stars. It's a really nice place to walk, beautiful beaches and fantastic view.. But to be honest, something could be improved. Along the way there are very few benches, and being the walk itself quite long and without much shade, this could be a problem. There is also no bicycle lane, which can lead to collisions between cyclists and pedestrians.
(Original)

I'll never travel to Monterosso al Mare without this trip planner again
The Galata Museo del Mare (GAM) is a large maritime museum in Genoa, Italy. It has exhibits on the history of shipping and navigation, with reconstructions of ships and a moored submarine. The museum is well-known for its extensive collection of original artifacts from all over the world.
Very interesting museum to visit. Tears of joy as my great grandfather left from Genova to immigrate to Brazil in the 1920's , so it was very touching to me to see how all the process went through for him. It was a very emotional experience for me. If not at least for the historical aspect of it. I also liked the written letters by Christophe Colombus, who was originally from Genova.
Edson Bittencourt Imperico — Google review
A big and good museum. The maritime museum offers a good overview of Genova’s naval and maritime activities from the late middle ages to now. The have several life size ships inside the building that you can walk through, which is impressive, especially the medieval galley. They provide much information, but not always with a translation of the Italian. A special treat is the visit to the submarine nearby, which is amazing. There is an interesting part on emigration and immigration. Some floors have special exhibitions. The top floor offers a wonderful view of the city with some indications of important structures. If you would find the museum a bit too big, because the entire visit can take a few hours, you can always skip parts.

Totalmente recomendable.

Very interesting for those who like the navy.
There is a very good full-scale reproduction of a galley and the interior of an emigrant ship to America. You can imagine the hard life on both ships. I really liked being able to enter a retired war submarine.
Totally recommended.

Nice museum also for kids. It's quite big, so reserve at least 2 hours. Amazing views from the rooftop. And you can visit a real submarine too.
Eva Valkovicova — Google review
I like maritime museums, they’re a quick way of learning the history of a city & culture. We came in knowing little about Genoa, we left impressed & wanting to learn more. The museum is laid out well so it’s fairly easy to navigate. It’s not overly large, so you won’t get museum-fatigue. Some exhibits are dusty & looking a bit forlorn, others were obviously sponsored by a corporation & quite spiffy. Did we wish there were more placards in English? Sure. But no matter, there was enough to get the gist. Definitely definitely go up to the roof, sit & soak in the view
Alex Amidon — Google review
A truly fantastic day out! If you're spending time in Genoa, I highly recommend a visit to this museum.
As an English speaking guest, I found it a bit difficult to understand most of the detailed descriptions of artefacts on display (since all are written in Italian). There are some QR codes dotted around to access a translated version of the displays (there is free WiFi at this museum!).
PRO TIP: Download the Google Translate app to your phone! Use this to automatically translate descriptions and live translate conversations into your desired language (to fully understand the interactive videos on the upper floors).
BEST BITS: Visit the interactive "Immigration to America" to experience what it was like for millions of Italians migrating to the USA. You can grab a free passport and travel documents at the beginning of this exhibit on the 3rd floor.
Take a tour inside a real submarine! The S518 Nazario Sauro is docked in the harbour directly outside the museum. You'll be given a hard-hat and a hairnet at reception at the end of your tour around the museum (just show them your ticket for entry). You can also collect audio guides from this location.
Ticket prices (for museum and submarine visit 2022):
Adults: 19€
Concessions: 17€
Children from 4-12yrs 14€
(Please note children under 3 cannot go inside the submarine)
You can also buy tickets for only the museum at a cheaper rate (prices between 13€ to 8€)
Antonia — Google review
It was a bit boring ,the kids didn't have fun there.
Prices are too high for what is available.
A lot of paintings without lighting to see as it should.
The submarine does not take more than 5 minutes to visit, but it is nice to see inside it once in a lifetime.
My children are 3 and 6 years old and I find it is not for their age because they are not having fun.
Aya NJ — Google review
We bought the Genova museum card which gives 24h access to many museums. Unfortunately no way near all... Which they don't do a lot to tell you about.
For example this museum was included - but just not the submarine - which they wanted additional 6 EUR/person for... (Didn't buy)
In my opinion, this is not reasonable and ruins the supposedly good deal with the museum card.
Regarding this museum, there was too little info in English to make it interesting.
Woman at counter did nothing to make it a good experience and never informed about any audio guide etc.
Several interesting points about navigation was impossible to understand as only Italian.
The emigration part was good - you learned about the trip conditions etc.
Martin Kynde Møller — Google review
Great museum with lots of things to see about genovas story and in general italy and immigration. Majority of things is in italian so its difficult for tourists that dont know language
nikolasp1988 (nikolasp1988) — Google review
Huge museum. Very interesting. Recommend. Also go inside the submarine - buy the biglietto intero. I bought mine from Tiqets. I arrived earlier than the time booked but lady at ticket office said booking is not according to any time frame and let us in.
Marie Louise Agius — Google review
The museum is spread over 5 floors. In the, partly historical, areas of the building, the exhibitions are sorted according to different eras and topics. The rooms are detailed and lovingly designed and are a work of art in themselves. So you walk through authentic interiors of ships, through Brazilian huts, through a submarine and much more. Two huge, faithful replicas of ships can be freely explored. The display cases and exhibits are very authentically staged. There are also sub-action options in some areas. Unfortunately, the multilingualism of all the information conveyed in the museum fails. A guide for non-Italian speakers would be helpful. Online, the information in some rooms can be displayed in different languages.
For children under 4 years the museum is only conditionally suitable, since they find only few Possibilities of interaction for their age group, besides the entrance to the submarine in the port (in the ticket included) for children under 4 years is not allowed.
Once at the top, you can enjoy the view over Genoa and the harbor from the panoramic terrace.
Alec Cale (YellowLightning) — Google review
Awesome museum with stunning exhibition spread out across multiple floors as well as submarine tour (definitely recommend unless you suffer from claustrophobia). Stunning observation deck with nice port and town overview. Within walking distance to the town centre. Plenty of interactive boards as well.
Dominik Kuthan — Google review
We visited the museum as we had a rainy day and needed something to pass the time. We were pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed our visit!
We spent over 3 hours at the museum and enjoyed every moment. It is easy to lose interest in some museums when you visit for a long time, but we did not get that at all. The exhibits were well presented and varied enough to keep things interesting. There is also something for everyone, including history, art, and interactive exhibits.
Highly recommend giving this museum a visit if you are in the area.
Alex Pritchard — Google review
If you enjoy maritime history and exhibits, put the Galata Museo del Mare on your list of things to do in Genoa. Five floors of interesting exhibits across hundreds of years related to sailing and shipping over the seas. Kind staff, great panoramic views from the top floor, and though I was solo on my visit, this would be a good experience for families as well. Only challenge I had was, with my limited and lacking Italian language skills, I didn't get to fully engage with several of the exhibits that were in Italian only. Fortunately there is Google Translate to help out.
Dan Gilkison — Google review
Beautiful maritime musuem with much to offer. 17 euros and you have the whole musuem and submarine at your disposal. Only recommendation is that a gift shop full of genoa history would have been a bonus
Davinio Dwarkasing — Google review
Definitely worth the cost of the ticket!! Five floors of exposition and a great view on the museum roof. It has plenty of interactive activities, quite unusual in Italy. They are great as well. You have a simulator for driving boats and submarines. The museum drives you during the naval evolution giving and hints of the seamans during the different historic periods. The immigration section should be a mandatory visit for all children.
Gabriele Becheri — Google review
Brilliant museum with so much to see! Definitely bring kids to see the ships and climb down to a submarine. Museum is very looked after and Genovese people take a lot of pride in it. Definitely visit the emigration floor (4) also to see life on the ship and climb to the very top for a panoramic view of the city! Definitely worth a visit!
Paula Bitinaite — Google review
Really nice museum for Maritime, ships all about sailing history. There is an actual submarine you can enter and that is a great experience
Bassam Imam — Google review
Great museum, very unpleasant staff (especially the older lady with glasses from reception). She was very annoyed by every question we had and she answered very "edgy" (we if they had an audio guide available and from where we can take helmets for submarine). Altough everywhere in the museum it is written you can acces the audio guide with the ticket code and 1 euro, she said no audio guide exists. She also sent us all the time to her colleague, meaning to change the row and sit in line again altough her colleague was 30 cm in her right and she was free, no one was behind us and we already sat in line.

Interesting. I thought it had enough English for me, but I can see why some people complain about only the Italian for a lot of it. I still found it enjoyable, but maybe a bit high priced for 17 Euro. The front staff were extremely nice to me. Lots of interesting things to see and the history of Genoa and boats are interesting enough for a few hour visit.

Amazing experience in a fantastic interactive museum. Galata Museum is a journey through history to understand the progression of ships and how naval instruments change to guide the navigation, how ancient people lived on top of ships, the vital role of migration over time, it is an inclusive experience that will engage everyone with the perfect naval reconstruction, photograph, 3Ds experience and the different structure of each floor. The last one was a wonderful surprise: the last 12 hours on the Andrea Doria, the recreation is wonderful and the reward is the breathtaking view on the city on the last floor. An adventure to do not miss for adults, children, families in which everyone will find his own space.
Old Port Bar, also known as Porto Antico, is a historic waterfront area in Genoa that has been active since the fifth century BC. Renzo Piano's renovations have transformed the area into a vibrant hub featuring attractions such as an aquarium, museums, an open-air pool, and numerous restaurants and bars. The port holds significant historical landmarks like Palazzo San Giorgio, which was once a jail and housed the world's first bank in the early 1400s.
Friendly service and great food. We stopped in for lunch today. The food was incredible. Our server was very good and spoke a fair amount of English. The view of the port added to the overall wonderful experience!

Were looking for a place to drink ‘an aperitif’ but got sent away because it was lunch service. Whilst walking away got called back saying we could have a drink if we did not stay for more than 15 minutes. Next we sat waiting for them to take our order but got ignored for several minutes until we eventually walked out.

The Aquarium of Genoa is the largest aquarium in Europe and features around 12,000 different species of fish and marine mammals. It's also home to six million litres (1.6m gallons) of water, making it one of the biggest aquariums in the world. The size of some of the tanks is impressive, especially for creatures like dolphins and sharks. Kids will love exploring all the exhibits, from manatees to coral reefs.
Book an early entrance (by 10am) so that there are fewer people so you can enjoy and see exhibits more easily. Price paid is fair. Lots to see. Don't miss the jellyfish and vivarium section. You need to cross to another side. Easily missed as you might think you're done.

Excellent aquarium. The layout and flow offer you different perspectives of the sharks, dolphins and seals at different points. The various world regions and animals are thorough. The location is easy and beautiful. A fun 2-3 hours. Buy tickets online through their official website and be careful of discounted sites.

I visited Genoa on a cruise and went to the aquarium. It was so amazing!!!! I love animals so much and they had some cool and really cute animals. I would highly recommend going here if you ever visit Genoa. Going earlier is definitely better before field trips.
Andrew Hicks — Google review
A very nice aquarium with a variety of fish and aquatic animals. It’s worthwhile visiting and you could easily spend a couple of hours if not half a day. If you are with kids, you should plan on spending half a day here as there are plenty to see and will keep the kids interested. The exotic fish and marine life is well kept although one can always argue if the environment they are kept in is truly fair, especially for the marine mammals such as the dolphins and larger fish such as the sharks. The penguins are an added attraction here. You could take a break at the cafe inside the aquarium and spend some time taking in the views from the deck, with the views of the port.
Localizer — Google review
Quite nicely done even though it still seems like the space, especially for the bigger animals, is too constrained. Still struggling with the ethical part of visiting such places, but it's so tempting to see the animals. Too many kids tho.
Zuzana Žilková — Google review
I visited the aquarium with my school and it was a really nice experience. There is an enormous collection of all kind of sea creatures. We also saw penguins, crocodiles and turtles. Obviously there were also scary and strange sharks. Furthermore we were lucky enough to see a dolphin show.
If you plan to visit this place I highly recommend you call them and get your tickets in advanced, because it can get very crowded very fast.

Really great aquarium with beautiful exhibits and wonderful experiences for all ages.
Book tickets in advance. Get there as early as possible if you'd rather not have too overwhelming a crowd.
Not always convenient lifts/enough for strollers and accessibility.

Great experience, really worth a visit.
Animals are kept in a convenient environment, the site is clean, well-preserved. Visitor information is clear, and interactive at a level you may expect any museum / attraction in the 2020s. Staff is also very nice.
Avoid weekends if you wanna hear less screaming from kids. :-)

After a quick breakfast, we visited the Aquarium of Genoa. We recommend going early in order to beat the crowds. It’s never that big of a crowd, although any crowd will obstruct your viewing experience. It’s very impressive, their selection. Penguins, piranhas, sturgeon, manatees, seals, dolphins, sharks, chameleons, jellyfish - they’ve got it all. Totally fun for the whole family and very fun to shoot video.
Ralph N — Google review
Make sure to buy your ticket before you go, queues out the front can be ridiculously long, and exhibits are crazily busy, especially in school holidays. Amazing array of creatures and sea life, although was wary that some enclosures felt insufficiently deep or wide. Gift shop #sucked.

Wonderful aquarium. Compared to other similar places, this is quite large, the kids were very happy. We stayed about 4 hours (including nice lunch at the terrace with beautiful view over harbour). Price is quite high, but it is a half-day event.

Not the biggest but really beautiful place, loved the huge aquariums where you could just sit and admire all the animals.
There’s also a restaurant inside with a great view.
Overall not too many aquariums but they have some species that other/bigger aquariums don’t have. In the end once you finished you still have a lot of time to explore the beautiful city!

Excellent place to visit - one of the highlights of our train trip around Italy. Kept us very entertained for about 2 hours easily. Perfect for kids but also without. Really nice aquarium. My kids were so happy to visit it. Well organised .
Just remember to buy the tickets in advance and to book online your entry time.
It is easy to reach with the car .. plenty of parking in the area.
Ivan Pelizzari — Google review
Very outdated, poorly maintained aquarium with dark lighting and foggy uncleaned glass. Some exhibits were nice, like the Seahorses. Be mindful that the signage directing you to the exhibits is very poor, you do not get a visitor map and there are few signs informing you of the right way to proceed. Especially confusing with the upper and lower levels. After we visited the Penguin enclosure we were brought to a giant white building that had little signs, other than for lockers or bathrooms. There was a big desk that read “Behind The Scenes” and that requires an extra ticket (€8). So we turned back, not even realizing there was another big section of the aquarium after that. Very poor layout and guidance. When we asked about the other exhibits on the pier, they told us to go outside and we will find the Biosphere €5 extra) and other things. That is when we realized there is a Dolphin tank and Tropical Rainforest area… but it was too late. Once you go outside, you can not re-enter. Of course, it’s sad that they keep dolphins in a small tank anyway, so probably better not to see that. And finally, we were surrounded by aggressive migrants forcing us to take bracelets and souvenirs and begging for money along the entire area of the aquarium. From the entrance to the exit. Almost no security around.
Overall, this aquarium should be priced around €15 for the quality of the current experience. After our visit, we felt let down and overcharged. I hope they consider a major renovation to improve the exhibits and signage and consider discontinuing the dolphin shows and instead use the facility to rehabilitate and release injured or abandoned dolphins.
Jadran — Google review
A good price compared to some I've been too. Some animals we never thought we would see so one very happy girlfriend. The tropical pool was incredible. But then some others were rather Barron so felt sorry for them.
But all in a great aquarium and a great aquarium

The Cattedrale di San Lorenzo is a Romanesque cathedral located in the heart of the Old Town in Genoa, Italy. It houses unique holy relics, including a frescoed interior and paintings by Luca Cambiaso, Barocci, Giovanni Andrea Ansaldo and Andrea Sansovino among others.
Beautiful Cathedral made of Ardesia, and pink, black and white marble from Tuscany it's worth going inside and observe it's internal structure too, there is an unexploded WWII bomb too, which is now safe but was left on display.
Love seating on the stairs of the church and do some people watching...

Amazing Cathedral, totally worth it. It is being restored on the outside so you cant really see the facade but the interior is amazing. You cant get in with uncovered shoulders or very short skirts or shorts.

They have finally opened the staircase to go to the roof which offers some amazing city views. Was not overly busy so could enjoy it thoroughly. Not for disabled/elderly people, it is quite a climb through a narrow turning staircase. The interior of the Cathedral is beautiful as well, worth visiting when in Genova.

Incredible cathedral, wonderful exterior style. Interior is rich, as it needs to be when it comes to cathedrals, and the two lions from the outside I liked the most.
The other thing I like in this cathedral are ,,blind doors'' on both sides. All of the pictures were taken exactly 6 years ago, in 2015.

No visit to Genoa is compete without a visit to “Cattedrale Di San Lorenzo!” The architecture of the outside of the Cathedral, as well as the inside of the Cathedral are breathtaking in every way. Unfortunately, as of the time that I took these photos (July, 2022), the outside of the structure is being cleaned or restored so there is a lot of scaffolding, but do not let it prevent you from visiting! As you can see from my photos, it is still magnificent. Cathedrals and Holy Sites as amazing as “Cattedrale Di San Lorenzo” deserve to be kept up and looking great, so kindly be mindful of that if you visit!

A definite must visit purely based on the museum they have. This is not easy to find within the actual "Chiesa". Once you find it you will discover an amazing treasure. For example it is said to hold the bowl that contained Jesus's Blood, as well as the transport of the ashes of John the Baptist and a few other items of intense beauty. The workmanship of these objects are incredible, using gold and semi precious as well as precious stones. Don't miss this place as you won't regret it.

What a wonderful world. Italy has many beautiful surprises and this is one. A nice and atypical park with many many great places. The path is well marked and there is a lot of picnic area with tables and views. Sadly there is two drawbacks. The first one is the map indicated on every main signals in the park, indeed the satellite view isn't accurate enough. Secondly there is no place to bivouac. I know there is a shelter but a national park which is close to nature must have a dedicated place to campers. Globally if you have a detour to do to see this park, do it.

Beautiful, quiet place of worship. Be sure to learn about the history, pet the kittens, and visit the shop. I visit here annually bc it revives me spiritually.

Beautiful place! Quiet, very well restored. Enchanting landscape.

Best place to pray, to make retreat and to buy the hand made religious articles of Fraiers of Don Orione. The tomb of venerable Frate Ave Maria adds more to the religious experience.
Anthony Cruz — Google review
Beautiful hermitage, surrounded by chestnut trees and with a large oak tree in front. The paintings are true medieval frescos, and there are reliquaries of saints. Heartwarming the history of the blind brother Ave Maria.

FRAZIONE S. ALBERTO DI BUTRIO 59, 27050 Ponte Nizza PV, Italy
Lungomare Vittorio Veneto is a picturesque waterfront thoroughfare adorned with towering palm trees that boasts a plethora of alfresco dining and shopping options, as well as an impressive castle. The street's scenic location along the harbor makes it a popular destination for visitors seeking to soak up the Mediterranean atmosphere while indulging in the local cuisine and retail offerings.
I think it’s the most beautiful at night. Located right downtown. As you go about your business in downtown Rapollo you will have many chances to see.

The old castle of Rapallo was built around 1200 to protect the town from the pirates. Today is well preserved and sometimes host some art expositions or other events.

Beautiful landmark of Rapallo on the Lungomare. It is enchanting to see it day and night time. It was temporarily closed during our stay in Rapallo.

This is the symbol of this fascinating city! I never been inside and I don't think that it's even possible as far as I know. Anyway, it surely emanates charme and provide an amazing photo object. From its stairs, it starts a ~9 Km red carpet that will bring you to Portofino.
Claudia C — Google review
Very cute seaside town with a number of good shops & restaurants. There is also a beautiful walk on the promenade. Easy to visit Portofino by means of a ferry.
joe cremona — Google review
No access to it following storm in Oct 2018. Fabulous views. Small public beach next to it.. Opposite there's a small ice cream bar
lesley hughes — Google review
Only from a distance. Located near the shore, but time tells a story. A story I have uet to discover
Maria Calipari — Google review
Didn't go inside because the area around it hasconstruction work going on. It's also nice to just see it from outside. The beach next to it was super crowded.
Very nice trip up the mountain on the cable car. Great visit to see the entire Italian Riviera from a vantage point. There is a great church to see and a bar and a restaurant to relax. If you are enthusiastic about a walk in the woods then, there is a trail from the church further up the mountain.
Please do check the last travel time just to make sure you reach well ahead of time to catch a ride back down.
Paramveer Singh — Google review
Definitely worth taking a ride on the cable car, only costs around €10 and takes about 7 minutes to reach. They run every 30 minutes for memory and surprisingly not a lot of people waiting to get on. You get great coastal views and mountainous landscape on the way there and back. Unfortunately as it was late in the day, I didn't get to explore some of the walks when you reach Montallegro. There's also the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Montallegro with a little gift shop to the side.
Carmela Pernicano — Google review
Cable car goes up & down every 30 minutes, with a break between 12h30 and 14h30. A 2 way ticket is €10, but I'd say it's worth it.
We went up just before the break at 12h30 and did a small walk and visit to the church, before eating in the Montallegro hotel/restaurant. We had a very good lunch, at a good price, and with an amazing view!
Afterwards we walked up to Monte Rosa. It's a cute trail of medium difficulty and only a 5 to 10 minute walk to the top. The only disadvantage is that the top does not provide a nice view point due to all the trees. Otherwise, I would've given 5 stars.
I would recommend going here. If you take the cable car, I would combine it with a lunch at the restaurant or a walk up or down. The walk from Rapallo to the top is 4km/90 minutes. I haven't done it myself, but if you're physically up for it, I would give it a shot
Jef Simons — Google review
The cable car was a quiet and beautiful ride. The car holds between 10 and 15 people. They load up ever ten minutes. If you are the last car before they close for
Lunch (12:30) you will be at the top for two hours. We went to the restaurant behind the church to eat and wait. It’s a very quiet atmosphere with no background music or noise, be prepared to be a bit bored if you have kids. If you know you are wanting to eat at this restaurant make reservations if you plan on sitting on the edge outside, most of those tables were reserved. There are cats too that were pretty amusing to watch.
Kristina Peterson — Google review
Great views or the towns. Lots of school children when we went up so took and hour queueing for us to get back as they prioritised the children over adults. Would have been useful to advise us ahead of booking the trip.
Andy — Google review
Great view for 8€. Their system is quite old and there are only two cabins which move simultaneously. There is a cabin every 10 minutes. I think they are capable of moving 9 people. There is a restaurant and a church up there.
Roya A — Google review
With the cable car to the top of the hill. On the hill there is a restaurant and a church to visit. Great view from the cable car over the city
Mitchmitch94 — Google review
The €8 return ticket is worth it. The cable car took us much higher than we imagined, until we were high up in the mountains. There is a church on top as well as a few restaurants with a very good ambience. The frequency of the cable cars is one every half hour. Turned out to be a highlight of my trip to Rapallo.
Deepa Hegde — Google review
An experience not to be missed. Im terrified of heights but once at the top there are two AMAZING RESTAURANTS…… we met lovely people, had drinks, sat back and enjoyed magnificent views. Make sure you have lunch here. The church is beautiful. Highly recommended.
Alana Bosco-White — Google review
Fantastic views from the cable car and the church at the top is superb., well worth the €10 charge for the round trip. A must in Rapallo.
Rob Hart — Google review
A bit expensive but worth it for the amazing view on the way up (and down) much cooler at the top and you can while away some time at the crazy church which is packed full of ornaments and coloured marble.
Tim Woo — Google review
Beautiful views, really nice cable car ride €8 per adult. 2 restaurants up the top offering the view and a church. One restaurant is behind the church and thats where my pictures are from.
Kerry Tarratt — Google review
Very friendly and helpful service workers. Spectacular views. Access to severally restaurants and a beautiful marble front cathedral with beautiful frescoes, paintings, religious icons, and altar.
The Sanctuary of Our Lady of Montallegro is a significant holy site constructed amidst verdant surroundings during the mid-1500s. It can be accessed through an old mule trail or a cable car ride, and it boasts stunning vistas of the mountains and seaside landscapes. This unique church is an excellent destination for peaceful prayer and offers breathtaking views both inside and outside its walls. Its striking beauty makes it a must-visit location for anyone seeking to connect with their spirituality in a serene atmosphere.
Simply beautiful inside and outside, as well as spectacular views of the seaside and mountain landscapes.

The church is very nice and locates on the top of the hill. It is amazing view for a hiking path or using the cable "funicolare". It will take 8 minutes by funicolare or 1 hour on foot.
There are few restaurants, hotels, bars around here for a stop while hiking.
Vuong Pham — Google review
Went on the cable car which is a lovely trip to the top. The church is a sight to see. Stopped at the hotel, bar, restaurant below the church for our return trip. Lovely staff, hospitality, comfort, views and prices. Snacks brought to our table, all inclusive.
Michael Bridge — Google review
Gorgeous sanctuary, with a very interesting story and stunning views of Rapallo, Santa Margherita and Portofino below. Easily accessible by cablecar or by walking an ancient mule path, but you can also drive there. Inside the sanctuary you can find lots of pictures, photos, papers and letters of people who received "miracles" from the sanctuary. There's also a few bars and restaurants nearby, and lots of beautiful hikes departing from here. Highly recommended, one of my favorite places in town.

Great fun up on the funicular but try the walk down. It's easy and spectacular.
The Borgo Medievale di Bobbio is an incredibly beautiful and well-regarded historical landmark. Despite previous claims labeling it as the dirtiest village in Romagna, these allegations were proven false upon closer inspection. The village boasts clear and pristine water that flows from its bare rocks, adding to its charm. Walking through the Borgo Medievale di Bobbio evokes a sense of awe and appreciation for its rich history.

Having read that it had been named the dirtiest village of Romagna I could not believe my eyes in being able to see through my own eyes, how false this thing was.

The Cathedral and the Abbey of San Colombano are worth visiting, but the whole village is an evocative place, wandering through the streets it seems like you are in a fairy tale world. The gastronomic plan is also interesting with the Piacenza specialties that can be tasted in the various restaurants of the Borgo. Highly recommended.

This stunning Italian town offers tourists plenty to do within two days, including cross-country running or biking along with exploring historical sites such as the Abbey of Bobbio. The Ponte Gobbo or Hunchbacked Bridge is a historic structure dating back to Roman times, reconstructed during the 17th century with an uneven path. This well-maintained bridge is a must-visit landmark where visitors can capture breathtaking photos on and under the bridge. Parking options include pay parking in Piazza San Francesco or free parking along Via Sopramura, though free parking near the bridge can be found at Borgo del Trebbia.
Beautiful place, in fact the village has been awarded as the most beautiful village in Italy couple of years back. I fully agree with that! Since we went on Xmas day, there were literally nobody around. The drive through the hill (last 10-15mins of drive) is bit difficult since the width of the road is just enough for one vehicle. But with almost no traffic, seems to be ok.
I love to visit the tourist places when it is empty, and I am glad I picked the Xmas day for the visit. There is a restaurant near this bridge, but was closed.
The village also was very quite. Just my kind of place!

Historic castle, hosting a museum, hotel and wedding venue in a peaceful setting. We attended a wedding in the grounds, and stayed the night. Due to location, both castle and hotel rooms offer spectacular views, and have plenty of character without compromising on comfort. Whilst there, the 'al panigaccio' restaurant serves a local flat bread and other dishes which are worth tasting, all were served hot and were fresh and rich in flavour. I'd recommend a visit, it will be peaceful, memorable and the food delightful.

Comune potrebe fare pensierino visto chie paghiamo cosmiche Tasse.

I myself was very happy to have tackled the climb with my bicycle, which leads to the edge of the hill, accompanied by some cyclists who frequent this uphill route, eager for peace and silence, where this welcoming refuge is located!!!
