I recently visited the Kyara Ke Balaji Temple, and it was truly a divine experience. The moment I stepped in, I was enveloped by an overwhelming sense of calmness and peace. The temple's tranquil ambiance provided the perfect environment for reflection and prayer. The serene surroundings, coupled with the soothing chants and incense fragrance, made the visit a truly spiritual journey. The idols and decorations exuded an aura of divinity, creating a sense of connection with the divine. It's a wonderful place to find solace and recharge one's spiritual energy. I highly recommend this temple to anyone seeking a peaceful and spiritually enriching experience.

Meja Dam is located in Meja village near mandal town. It is called the lifeline of Bhilwara as it caters the need of drinking water. Meja garden is nearby to the dam. Current situation of the garden is very poor. Seems, no one from concerned authorities is taking care of garden. Water level in Dam is also very low. Still, it is watchable.

A beautiful monument to behold with night lights, it holds artifacts from the last few centuries - ornaments, utensils, religious statues, toys, painting, knives, bows and arrows, guns and a cannon. You can be transported back to the 8th century, you can see stones with inscription in a language resembling a modern language and yet so elusive to grasp! The museum used to have light and sound show, but in March 2019, during my visit, I was told that there were no shows for the past 6 months. At INR 20 as entrance fees, this is worth much more than that for the experience. A must see even if you can spare 30 minutes. Watch your step if you are visiting during evening hours, the walkways have a step down from one section to the next.
Ranjan Sharma — Google review
The museum is housed in the former Ajmer Palace that was once used by Mughal emperors whenever they stayed in Ajmer. There a good quality collection of items, all displayed in themed rooms. Each room has an introductory description, but none of the individual items have descriptions. There’s even an inscriptions room filled with carved slabs containing written text, but unless you can read whatever writing was used, it’s nothing to look at.
The museum is elegant, the items are good quality, but the lack of descriptions is disappointing especially as the foreign entry fee is not cheap by Indian standards.

This little known Soniji Ki Nasiyan, a Jain temple dedicated to Rishabhadev, is the real Gem of Ajmer city. It is also known as Golden Temple and Red Temple. The main attraction here is a two-storied Swarna Nagari Hall behind the temple. It is a museum housing astonishing replicas of the life story of Rishabhdev. Entire collection here is gold plated. It took 25 years to build and 1000 KGs of gold is used in making. Its interior is adorned with mineral colour paintings, Belgian glass and stained glass work.
There is a replica of Ayodhya city where Rishabhdev was born and Prayag city where he renounced the world. There are also replicas of his life events like his birth, dance of Apsara, his penance, his Kesh Lochan, breaking a yearlong fast at Hastinapur, his preaching at "Samovasaran" etc. The museum is open for all and it is a must visit place in Ajmer.

There are few cons about this place

- walls are dirty
It's a nice place for a one time visit. So, if you're in Ajmer, you can visit this place once.

Soniji Ki Nasiyan, also known as the Jain Temple in Ajmer, is a must-visit for anyone interested in Jainism, architecture, or intricate craftsmanship.
**Pros:**
* **Architectural Marvel:** This late 19th-century temple stuns visitors with its red sandstone exterior and ornately carved interiors.
* **Swarna Nagari (City of Gold):** The main chamber is a highlight, featuring intricate gold leaf work adorning wooden figures depicting important figures in Jainism. Some accounts say over 1000 kg of gold were used!
* **Jain Art and Depictions:** See detailed carvings and paintings portraying stories and teachings from Jain scriptures.
* **Peaceful Atmosphere:** The temple complex offers a serene and spiritual environment.
* **Photography Allowed (with Restrictions):** Capture the beauty of the temple's architecture and artwork (but be sure to follow any photography guidelines).
**Cons:**
* **Limited Hours:** The temple has specific visiting hours, so plan your trip accordingly.
* **Dress Code:** As with most religious sites in India, there might be a dress code requiring modest clothing (covered shoulders and knees).
* **Large Crowds:** The temple can be crowded, especially during festivals or weekends.
**Overall:**
Soniji Ki Nasiyan is an architectural gem and a significant pilgrimage site for Jains. Even for non-Jains, the intricate craftsmanship and peaceful atmosphere make it a worthwhile visit.
Here are some additional tips for your visit:
* **Check Timings:** Confirm opening and closing hours before your visit.
* **Respectful Clothing:** Dress modestly to respect the religious significance of the site.
* **Guided Tour (Optional):** Consider hiring a guide for a deeper understanding of Jainism and the temple's history.
* **Photography:** Be mindful of any photography restrictions and avoid using flash.

The Ajmer Jain temple, also known as Soniji Ki Nasiyan, is an architecturally rich Jain temple. It was built in the late nineteenth century. The main chamber, known as the Swarna Nagari "City of Gold", has several gold-plated wooden figures, depicting several figures in the Jain religion. This golden chamber of the temple uses 1000 kg of gold to carve out a depiction of Ayodhya. Kurt Titze, in his book, "Jainism: A Pictorial Guide to the Religion of Non-Violence", writes on Soniji Ki Nasiyan: "Ajmer's main attraction is - for the Jainas - the prominently situated Nasiayan Digambara Temple, or rather the two-storied Svarana Nagara Hall behind the temple, better known as the Museum. Both the temple and the museum were built and are still owned by the Soni family of Ajmer. The temple, dedicated to Rishabha or Adinatha in 1865, was constructed of red sandstone in a matter of a few years, but it took twenty-five years, from 1870 to 1895, to fashion - by artisans at Jaipur - the thousands of individual parts required to assemble a three-dimensional replica of the story of Rishabha in accordance with an old manuscript by Acharya Jinasena.

Taragarh Fort, also known as the "Star Fort," is a historic hillfort located atop Nagpahari Hill in Ajmer. Built in 1354 under the Chauhan empire, it is renowned for its exquisite construction and three enormous entrances. The fort offers expansive views of Ajmer city and showcases reservoirs carved out of rock. Considered the first hill fort of Asia, it was constructed on an 800-foot high pinnacle overlooking Ajmer.
Taragarh Fort is a fortress built upon a steep hillside in the city of Ajmer in the Indian state of Rajasthan. It was constructed in the 8th century by Ajayaraja Chauhan (721–734) and it was originally called Ajaymeru Durg.
This fort was known for its strength and strategic importance. First islamic attack on the fort was made in 724, during reign of Chauhan King Durlabhraj I, who bravely fought muslim armies under caliph Hisham ibn Abd al-Malik. In this war, King Durlabhraj I did not receive support from fellow rajput kings. This war witnessed India's second Jauhar conducted by queens of King Durlabhraj I, along with other females in Taragarh Fort. The war is also known for sacrifice of 7-year old Chauhan Prince Lot, who bravely fought muslim armies, and laid down his life.
Prithviraj, son of Rana Raimal of Mewar and elder brother of Rana Sanga, captured Taragarh fort of Ajmer during the end of 15th century, after slaying Governor Mallu Khan. The fort is also called Taragarh, named after Prithviraj's wife Tarabai. It remained under control of Mewar, and later Rana Sanga granted it to Karamchand Panwar

The Taragarh Fort, Ajmer was built in 1354 A.D. The Taragarh Fort, Rajasthan is a spectacular and outstanding example of Rajasthani architecture. During the Mughal rule in Ajmer, the Taragarh Fort, Ajmer was used as an important center of military activity. After this in the later years, during the British occupation in Ajmer, the fort was used as a sanatorium.
The Taragarh Fort in Ajmer has six huge gates. The Miran Saheb ki Dargha is located inside the fort. Miran Saheb, a brave warrior and also the governor of the fort sacrificed his life defending and protecting Taragarh against an enemy invasion. The Taragarh Fort, Ajmer provides the visitors with an excellent and panoramic view of the city.
Something to look out for is the Bhim Burj, a huge battlement on which there rests a large canon and also the massive stone water reservoirs built within the Fort. The main and front gateway that leads the visitors to the fort is decorated and embellished with stone sculptures of elephants.

The shrine at Taragarh is the second most important Dargah in Ajmer, and is dedicated to Syed Meeran Husaain, who was the Military Governor of the fortress of Taragarh in 13th Century on behalf of the Mughals.
Taragarh fort is in ruins now and no sightseeing / remains of the fort are present. Only the great Wall of Taragarh fort can be visible from Ajmer Sharif is there marking a boundary.

Mashallah... This was my third time that I've been here. I was afraid of heights at the time of going but once i reached there the feeling of peace and courage bring me the energy to come back without any fear. The route to dargah is well established. The railing is on 90%+ road and well maintained. The night light is still remaining there on the route inshallah in future we can see that soon.
The dargah has good facility of wuzukhana and for tourists you can enjoy horse ride and camel ride here. It has the facility of guest house and restaurant there. The view is amazing. The imam saheb and staffs are friendly and co-operative.
It takes less than half an hr to reach the destination from dhai din ka jhopada. We stayed for at least 1 he here. The driver charged 150 ₹ per person to take & bring back from dargah to dhai din ka jhopada. (As per june 2022).

Dargah Hazrat Meeran Syed Hussain Khigsawar Mashhadi (RA) – it's like a secret Ajmer treasure waiting to be discovered! Forget the crowds, this place is all about laid-back vibes and a sprinkle of Sufi magic.
Imagine stepping through a grand old gateway, like entering a whole new world. The air hums with qawwali melodies, telling stories of the saint's life, while the scent of incense hangs in the air like a comforting hug. The Mazar-e-Sharif, the saint's final resting place, is where wishes take flight – pilgrims whisper their hopes and dreams, leaving worries at the door.
But the Dargah is more than just prayers and wishes. It's a place to chill, too. The Jami Masjid's colorful tiles are like an Instagram dream, and the Diwan-e-Khwaja's courtyard is the perfect spot to soak up the Sufi vibes. So, whether you're a seasoned pilgrim or just curious about Ajmer's hidden gems, the Dargah Hazrat Meeran Syed Hussain Khigsawar Mashhadi (RA) is sure to leave you feeling peaceful and a little bit closer to something special. Just remember, wear comfy shoes, keep an open mind, and be prepared to be amazed!

This dargah or shrine is dedicated to Meeran Syed Hussain, the 13th century military governor of Taragarh who held the fortress on behalf of the Mughals, but was killed during a Rajput attack.
The place seems very commercial to me, which faithfuls obligated to donate something for a prayer. Something more for the faithful than for me.

My visit to Foy Sagar Lake was a decent experience. The lake's serene surroundings and tranquil waters provided a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The scenic beauty was pleasant, and it was a nice place to spend some time in nature. However, the amenities around the lake were somewhat limited, and I wished there were more facilities for visitors. Overall, it's a good spot for a quiet outing, but it may not offer as many activities or services as some other tourist destinations.

Peaceful lake just outside Ajmer city. Nice to visit any time. There is also a garden adjacent to the lake, which is maintained quite well. There were not restrictions to entry into the lake when I visited. There is no security so you need to be careful around the water in case you go close. Neatness was okayish. I did find some waste near the lake. But it was a nice spot to take a small break as I was riding to Ajmer from Jaipur.

An ancient temple which looks so good and majestic (beimg built like fort with perometer etc) getting ruined because of apathy fron Archeological society of India and government and encroachment inside temple by locals. Some irritable lady lives inside who discourages visitors. Even the juice stall outside doesn't know that it's Varaha temple.

This is one of the most rare temples, of the varaha (boar) incarnation which lord Vishnu adopted to bring back earth from the clutches of the demon Hiranyaksha, who had sent it down to hell. The idol is unique: You can see the snout of the boar, with a silver disk representing the earth on it, symbolizing gow lord Vishnu sniffed until he found earth and brought is back up. The temple is managed by a private family since generations, with no assistance from the government. Strange, given how rare this temple is, and such an interesting part of Indian mythology!

It's an old and temple of Varah avatar of Vishnu, in the form of a wild boar. Varaha is generally listed as third in the Dashavatara, (the ten principal avatars).
According to a legend, Lord Vishnu turned himself into a wild boar and came to earth, to kill the monstrous demon Hirnayaksh, who was going to destroy the whole universe. Varaha slew the demon and retrieved the Earth from the ocean, lifting it on his tusks and restored Bhudevi to her place in the universe.
This temple was initially built in the 12th century by King Anaji Chauhan but was destroyed by Aurangzeb. It was then rebuilt in the 18th century by Raja Sawai Jai Singh II of Jaipur.
This temple is considered to be the most ancient temple in the city. The temple has 2 feet white idol of Lord Varaha in the sanctum sanctorum. Various idols including Shiva, elegant carvings, life-size statues of door men and gold-styled pillars depicting Garuda, the bird are situated within the temple.
There is a family that lives inside, nice people.

Varaha Temple in Pushkar (Rajasthan) is a Hindu temple dedicated to the 3rd incarnation of Lord Vishnu. It is one of the oldest temples in Pushkar and it is located very close to Pushkar Lake. The Pushkar Varaha temple is also included in the Swayamvyakta kshetra list of 8 premium temples where the deity is believed to have self-manifested. The best time to visit the Varaha Temple is in the month of Kartik i.e. Oct/Nov.

Varaha means “Boar”, a wild boar(pig with tusk). Lord Varah’s idols represented with the head of a wild boar and the body of a man. It is said that when Lord Brahma performed yagya at Pushkar lake, Lord Varaha acted as a protector of Brahma & yagya from the demons
This temple is not well protected by the government or the archaeological department. It is encroached upon by the locals and one lady lives inside the temple premises who discourages visitors to visit here.

The most underated marvellous temple of Varaha avatar of Vishnu ji . This is very ancient temple dating back to atleast 2000 years back . It has known works done on the temple In 9th century by a local king . A family now resides here and is the owner caretaker of the Temple . The temple doesn’t get funding from state or AsI unlike other famous temples and hence its maintenance depends on good will of worshipers like us .
If you visit this temple and appreciate the architecture and the pious feel there , do care about its maintenance and make some contribution financially as offerings .
For other famous temples (including Pushkar lake temple ) , the state coffers steal the temple money and make the whole process of daan-dakshina a commercial gimmick with government employed pimps .

You can walk from Brahma Mandir to a place where you can get an Auto/Camel ride to the Start point of Ropeway
The auto/camel ride point is about 1-2Km from Brahma Mandir. It's better to see one of these because it's a bit too much for walking on sunny days. Auto costs ₹20 per person.
The Ropeway cost ₹165 per person.
Best time to go is right after 2PM or close to 2PM as Mandir re-opens at 2PM. We didn't get any queue but when we came back around 3PM there was a long queue for Rope Way only.
The rope way system is good, not that costly either. It. It is a good option if you have time and energy to take the stairs.
There are 3 Cabins at once, and it stops mid way for people to get onboard and get off on each end.
For a better view, try to get on the end side of the Cabins/Cart.
There are quite some Baboons around the temple be careful not to annoy them. They are harmless.

The temple is very beautiful and spiritual.
It's situated on the top of the hill.
There are two ways you can reach.
The first one is the stairs and the second one is Ropeway.
So now let me tell you how people choose to go there...if they choose stairs so either they had asked the mata savitri to grant their wish and then they go by stairs or some of the tourists go for "Bundi" the holy one I was a foreigner couple they were doing it and they told someone about it I just over heard it and got to know about Bundi also. It almost takes you 2 hours to reach the temple.
And If you are choosing Ropeway so it only costs 150 INR for one person for both sides it's a great option if You just want to visit the temple and add something new in your travelling experience and memories.
It can become adventurous and spiritual at the very same time.
When you'll reach the temple you'll see a bulk of monkeys they just stay there and sit and chill. Don't be aftraif when you see them but yeah make sure you take care of your belongings I can't say if they'll snatch one of your things and will run away!! Haha just kidding. They were really nice until you'll tease them.
So visit the temple it's really beautiful and gives a breath taking view.
It's almost 450kms up from the floor or ground whatever is convenient for one's understanding.
But it's just an amazing temple.
You can sit there make videos and take photos and have really great time with your family, friends, beloved and solo time also.
There is a mini market also where you can have snacks and tea.
A free parking lot also available.
It's a must visit place if you are visiting Pushkar.

Temple is located atop a hill. Views of the Pushkar lake and surrounding areas from the temple are superb.
There are two modes to reach the top of hill. First and preferred one is by Rope Way that costs Rs 165 both ways.
Ropeway trolley will take you to the temple in about ten minutes but waiting time for purchase of tickets and trolley is from 30 to 40 minutes. If you are in good health, you may prefer to climb around 1000 steps to the top and enjoy some great views on the way. It will take around 30 minutes to reach the top by walking - less than the time taken by Rope way including waiting time.
Temple closes from 1 pm to 2 pm. So when it reopens at 2 pm, there is a huge rush. Avoid 2 pm to 3 pm slot.

Must Visit Place in Puskar. Ropeway facility is available here.Rs. 165 for to and fro. Stairs are also there but not everybody can use those smoothly. Railings are not there. You will find many leaf monkeys also there , specially on top near temple premises.

People go to witness sunrise and view of pushkar from top. Temple itself is very calm and has very religious value, climbing to top takes too much of efforts as it has only stairs to reach to the top. Ropeway also has started.
Overall, great experience.

A very beautiful temple on the hill. One can see the whole pushkar from the temple courtyard.
It is about 1 km from Brahma temple and can be reached through 2 wheelers and 4 wheelers.
It can be reached either by rope way or stairs.
There are lots of monkeys outside the temple, from which you need to be a little cautious.
The ticket price for the rope way is 165 per person.

The Hindu temple of Savitri Mata Temple is an excellent place to visit if you're looking for a tranquil place to pray or just enjoy stunning views. The temple is located on the Ratnagiri slope behind the Brahma sanctuary, and offers beautiful lake and valley views via cablecar or trekking ascents. It's also a popular pilgrimage site for people who are seeking relief from troubles, and is often visited by pilgrims who are seeking guidance from Savitri Mata herself.
Wonderful place, wonderful place, incomparable peacefully, the view is also unique, feel like seeing again and again, there is a ropeway here also gives a different experience with safety, different experience of air at height

Beautiful temple on such height, there are steps to reach the temple or one can go via ropeway ( Rs 150 per person). Breathtaking view from the top of the mountain where the temple is situated. I would like it to be a little more cleaner. Visitors should beware of monkeys in the temple premises.

It was a fun cable car ride experience. We were waiting in line for about 30 minutes. There is a beautiful view at the top. Lots of langur monkeys. But there was a lot of garbage. We walked down and it was an unpleasant experience because there were heaps of garbage everywhere on the hill. It’s sad, especially this knows as a sacred place for Hindus.

Excellent place!
It's a half an hour trail by walk. Do experience the calm nature, sight of surrounding and listen to your mind.
None of the monkey (black faced) show any aggression! They literally sit on nearby trees and rock as monks.

The temple is dedicated to Goddess Savitri. It is a very strenuous work to climb on the hilltop but it is believed that the harder you work the more ‘Tapas’ are gained. Most Silent place adorable and beautiful view like heaven , also can experience a rope way . Just come and take mata rani darshan . Jai mata di

This temple of Mata Savitri is situated at the hill top around two km from Brahmaji temple. One can go to this temple by climbing stairs which are around 900 in number or one can go up by Ropeway. From top of the hill, one can see Pushkar and around areas and enjoy the place.
Ravinder Batta — Google review
The Ropeway facility is great. The temple is fine. But there is no proper place for sitting to enjoy the great weather on heights. I would have also appreciate a tea shop or a small restaurant on top with nice views that would have been a cherry on the top.
Ashish Jain — Google review
If you like to try ropeway then this place is great.. There is quite waiting time to visit Savitri Mata temple by ropeway. If you like to climb by stairs then it's ok... Temple is nice and spend some time to enjoy the spiritual feelings and peaceful environment with high altitude...
PRAVEEN Singh — Google review

Found this wonderful shop on Facebook and what a joyful experience it has been !! The humble tone and positive attitude of Mr Deendayal and his clarity of explaining the details of the product has been truly rewarding...On this day and age, and the manner we get defrauded in the marketplace, even with eyes wide opened...to find such genuine shop which is widely visited by so many celebrities from abroad , with the reviews highly appreciating their quality work and transparency, Their down to earth attitude and gentle demeanor ...we once again can believe in the bygone era of building trust and respect on the true artisans our India is blessed with... looking forward to purchasing many more and also personally visit the shop in near future.
