How long is the drive from the San Martin de los Andes to Rosario?
The direct drive from the San Martin de los Andes to Rosario is 1,012 mi (1,629 km), and should have a drive time of 20 hrs 34 mins in normal traffic.
If you’re going on a road trip from the San Martin de los Andes to Rosario, we did the research for you and compiled some great stops along the way — with Neuquen, as well as top places to visit like Alquimia and Miralagos Apart & Cabañas, or the ever-popular Parque Via Christi.
Neuquén, situated in the eastern part of the Argentine province with the same name, serves as both its capital city and that of Confluencia Department. The area occupies a portion of land stretching towards the west from where Limay and Neuquén rivers meet to form Río Negro, all of which falls within the ecoregion known as Alto Valle del Río Negro.

Best stops along the San Martin de los Andes to Rosario drive
The top stops along the way from the San Martin de los Andes to Rosario (with short detours) are Volcán Batea Mahuida, Paseo de la Costa, and Villa Epecuén. Other popular stops include Laguna de Gómez Natural Park, Limay River, and Villa Dulce.
I recommend to visit Junin for 2 main attractions, this being one of them. No need to stay one night but you may need a full day, especially if sunny. At least 4 hrs at park jesus and 2 hrs at punte banana.
From Neuquen or San Martin (250 pesos bus) is really worth it. The park was unique and very relaxing. The artist is very unique. The puente is lovely and beautiful pics to remember this small city.
This park is daring because it can really trigger those Christian fanatics. The sculpture artist is daring and very thought provoking. It is amazing how a small town can turn an ordinary pine tree forest into a masterpiece. Price is 400 pesos. You get an amazing pine tree landscape, mountains views, free range horses wandering around, a 3
hr hike and art. All in one place for a great price.

Not surprisingly, there was a strong Christian theme to the sculptures, which were very impressive in beautiful woodland surroundings

It is a visit that admits a wide spectrum of looks: admirable from the religious, anthropological point of view, from the infrastructure and architecture, from a walk in a natural environment. If it is desired to learn and to know the work from the religious, its greater symbolic potential, it is suggested to make the visit with guide.

(Translated by Google) Privileged place in Villa Pehuenia. Beautiful view from the living room-kitchen. Very spacious. Clean. Intermittent wifi. There is no common kettle or Teflon frying pan or a jug to heat milk because there is a microwave and electric kettle (for use with light). No attendant at reception. The employee who cleans saves your potatoes!! There was a power outage due to rain and the hot water ran out! Shower impossible to regulate. Bed with mattress already very used and a lot of noises when sleeping because there are birds' nests on the ceiling. Expensive price for the service they offer.

(Translated by Google) We had the reception as a cabin, they even went to ask us if they received reservations there. The Wi-Fi drops very often, it is very difficult to be connected.
The heater turned off, we asked the owner to tell us how to turn it on and he told us that the next day they would turn it on since they had to disassemble a part. That night we were cold, since the dining room is all glazed.
It has complete crockery but the knives don't cut anything, they are for use with butter. Several details need to be polished so that a family is comfortable.
(Original)

(Translated by Google) We were in the 3-room cabin. Very spacious with a very comfortable kitchen. The bedrooms and living room all have views of Lake Aluminé. The location a few meters from the lake is excellent and 150 meters away is the pier where excursions depart and you can rent a kayak. The center is approximately 2 km away, where there are supermarkets and other businesses, but in the area there is a "Drumlin" brewery and a "Maddy" pizzeria, which are highly recommended. The gentleman who attended us was very friendly. Be careful, one hour before arriving you have to let them know so they can give you the key, because in Pehuenia there is no cell phone signal or data.
For the 5 stars it lacks a little maintenance and, for me, it is an important issue that the establishment provides toilet paper. It is not because of the cost, but because of a service issue. The rest excellent.

(Translated by Google) The cabin is very comfortable, very large and with everything you need to be comfortable. But the attention of the owners was very bad, one night the stove went out and we asked the owner if he could come and turn it on (The owner lives 1 block away) And he said that the next day in the morning (Which was not ) That night we all slept cold. Another detail to keep in mind when coming to places like this is the internet, don't expect to have it at all times or unless it's fast.

(Translated by Google) We were in a cabin on the top floor. Well equipped and nice view. Heating in each room and dining room. It needs maintenance on access stairs and balconies where raised nails can be seen. I did not like that the window that is in the shower has a wide transparent border, I put a bag through it so as not to show myself. I cannot comment on the attention of its owner, we do not need it. If you travel out of season (like us) you will find most of the restaurants in the vicinity closed. We had to go by car to have dinner, although the idea was different.

Estuvimos en una cabaña en planta alta. Bien equipada y linda vista.

Do You Like Volcanoes?
Then come and visit Volcán Batea Mahuida.
This is a very Beautiful Volcano that can be hard to visit for various reasons such as if there is Bad Weather such as Snow, then it will be very hard to get up to the top, or if there are a lot of Clouds In The Sky then its' visibility will also make it hard to see as well!
During our excursion, we did try to get to the top of the volcano using a 4x4, but we gave up due to the amount of snow that was on the road.
However, we saw it from another place called "Parque De Nieve Batea Mahuida".
I am just so glad that we did Not Give Up On It because I Really Love Volcanoes!
I want to personally Thank Federico Garategui and Cesar Lopez Casanegra for taking ME there back on Sunday, June 25, 2017.

The museum was great! It's the most accessible museum I've ever been to. They had audio guides (via QR codes at each dinosaur) in both Spanish and English. They also had braille signs at each dinosaur (see pic for one of them). We were there at a quiet time, so we had the place to ourselves which was cool. The dinosaur bones are very cool (especially the massive one that spans almost the entire room), and the audio guides are informative.
The entrance fee is very reasonable, although the museum is pretty small. I would highly recommend this as an activity for kids who are going through their dinosaur phase.

Museo Paleontológico Municipal Ernesto Bachmann in Neuquen may be small, but it holds some remarkable exhibits. Visitors can marvel at dinosaur nests, replicas of local discoveries, and a fascinating ancient shark jaw that's a popular spot for photos. I am really happy that I visited zoo today back on Saturday, April 22, 2017!
It was highly recommended and it was also listed on the tourist map all the way from Neuquen Capital City of Argentina.
This zoo is fairly new and has been open for the past seven (7) years.
I also think that the selection of animals are very nice to see as you can see in the pictures that I have provided on Google.
I also want to personally thank Andrea Soriano for providing me with a Fantastic Tour and for allowing me to feed Rosalie the Parrot.
If you are ever in the area of Rio Negro, Argentina then please come and visit the Bubalco Zoo because it is well worth it.
Sincerely yours,

Complete animal abuse. It's really sad because so many small zoos like this still exist all over the world and are unregulated. In theory, some zoos could be beneficial if the animals were indeed rescued and/or there were conservation programs enacted but this is not one of those cases.
When I visited, it was in the middle of winter (30°F) and of course all the animals have tiny shelters where they can sleep at night but they are very small and dark. Naturally, the animals need sunlight and outdoor time so they're outside shivering and if they're lucky to be with others, huddling to keep warm.
The enclosures are small and have no stimulation or proper environmental foilage or anything. The birdcages were tiny and only had two branches for the birds to roost on. The monkeys looked extremely lonely, a chimpanzee and two other types by themselves when they are clearly social animals. Overall a very sad experience.

Excellent place for the whole family. Kids will love it!
A lot of animals to see in a nice environment, just need to walk around or rent a golf kart.
Have a restaurant where you can eat before to start the tour or take to go and a very nice picnic areas where the birds will come to eat with you!!!
Bodega HUMBERTO CANALE is a family winery located in Rio Negro, Argentina. Visitors can enjoy wine tastings and traditional empanadas while learning about the irrigation, harvesting, fermentation, and aging processes from knowledgeable guides. The winery offers a selection of wines to taste, including PINOT, MERLOT SELECTION, and ROSE varieties. Guests have praised the attentive staff and the overall experience at the winery.
Simply put, Humberto Canale is an absolute must-stop for all wine lovers lovers visiting Argentina! Their hosts are super friendly and knowledgeable. I had probably the best experience ever visiting a winery. All of their wines and the foods served (OMG!) are second to none in the Patagonia region of Argentina. Highly recommend!

(Translated by Google) Beautiful place! The second time I visit. This time the visit was better. Very attentive, the ghia answers everything. They charged $ 800 for tasting. He put 3 wines to taste: $ 1,800 PINOT, $ 1,800 MERLOT SELECTION AND $ 600 ROSE.
. Between the 4 of us we spent 20 thousand. In the end he charged us $ 500 each. I think it's good because apart we buy. But he put 3 wines. If there were more people, it would remain an abusive medium.
For my part I say ... go. Very good wines. Of banguardia

(Translated by Google) Beautiful and pleasant sightseeing.
I went with my friends to take a guided tour with wine tasting accompanied by a cheese board and empanadas (meat, grilled, very tasty!).
The visit begins in the vineyard, then through the establishment ending with the tasting of three wines. I want to highlight the guide Romina, who gave us excellent information about the winery and the wine process.
I recommend doing the visit at any time of the year, even so I think it is better to visit it at the time of the grape harvest (in summer) to enjoy the landscape even more.
It is worth doing!

Casino Club Is Fancy!
I heard about Casino Club through my research on Santa Rosa, La Pampa Tourism.
What a Very Nice Place to visit!
The place is gorgeous and has beautiful fountains of water outside that go off at around 7:00 P.M. every evening.
They have plenty of slot machines and card games to play and have regular shows as well!
They do charge 5 Pesos to get in, but that is Nothing if You are Coming from North America or Europe obviously.
I really Loved the Scenery both inside and outside of the Casino!
Even though I do Not Gamble, the Casino Club is well worth a Visit or a Gamble!
