Nature & Parks
Huerquehue National Park is a vast mountainous area with ancient forests, lakes, and hiking trails. The park offers stunning landscapes of araucarias forests and pristine alpine lakes. Visitors can embark on all-day excursions to explore the beautiful scenery, including waterfalls and the challenging San Sebastian trail. While some trails may be difficult due to snow or steep terrain, the breathtaking views make it worthwhile for outdoor enthusiasts.
Well maintained trails and beautiful forest and lake views. Only wish the last 6km of the road leading to the park
is paved.

Great National Park. Treks of various lengths. I had the luck that the weather was impeccable.

1) you absolutely must book your tickets online as they do not under any circumstances let you pay there.
2) moderate to difficult because of the high ascent (I think around 500m), but the trail is basically all uphill to go (and downhill to comeback).
3) very beautiful trail.
Beatriz L — Google review
Nice park, where one can see 3 pristine alpine lakes along with two large waterfalls on the way. As of Oct 2022, the trails were muddy and largely covered in snow making the hike quite difficult. I imagine the experience is even better in summer or fall👍

The tres Lagos hike was amazing. Bring your swimsuit and swim in the frigid cold beautiful lago verde
Megan Schultz — Google review
We did the hike to the lakes (Los lagos). The start is a bit hard but after getting to the first lake there are no major ascents. The view to the Villarica is great and the water in the lakes are refreshing.
Uri Hermoni — Google review
This place is absolutely awesome! The san Sebastian trail is not the easiest but the view from the top is absolutely worth it. If you start hiking early its very nice. The camping area is pretty nice and has warm water. 100% recommended!

Beautiful and gorgeous National Park, the walk to the Laguna Verde took us about 2 hrs but the view is breathtaking and worth it. Was a very hard hike in a very stepped hill, so might not be suitable for everyone. The price for adults is $3500 clp and foreign tourists $7000 clp
Ernie Shepherd — Google review
Beautiful forest and friendly staff. Make sure you go early enough if you want to do the full trails, it’s not your average walk in the park. If you go with the bus you arrive at 9h30 and the bus back is at 17h10. So doing the lagoon walk which is around 700m of walking up and 16km in length can take a while.
The first waterfall (Nido de aguila) is a good spot to take some typical waterfall pictures.
Bram Verswalm — Google review
Beautiful park with nice hikes. There is still snow in the end of September on part of the 3 lakes route.
Pieter Smit — Google review
We had a wonderful stay in this National Park. The woods are really beautiful with some very old trees and the different lakes are just magical !
The water is deeply blue and very clean. Don't miss the waterfalls, we visited the second one which was amazing (see picture below).

Parque Nacional Huerquehue s/n, Pucon, Pucón, Araucanía, Chile
I recommend to visit Junin for 2 main attractions, this being one of them. No need to stay one night but you may need a full day, especially if sunny. At least 4 hrs at park jesus and 2 hrs at punte banana.
From Neuquen or San Martin (250 pesos bus) is really worth it. The park was unique and very relaxing. The artist is very unique. The puente is lovely and beautiful pics to remember this small city.
This park is daring because it can really trigger those Christian fanatics. The sculpture artist is daring and very thought provoking. It is amazing how a small town can turn an ordinary pine tree forest into a masterpiece. Price is 400 pesos. You get an amazing pine tree landscape, mountains views, free range horses wandering around, a 3
hr hike and art. All in one place for a great price.
Antoine Assaad — Google review
Not surprisingly, there was a strong Christian theme to the sculptures, which were very impressive in beautiful woodland surroundings

It is a visit that admits a wide spectrum of looks: admirable from the religious, anthropological point of view, from the infrastructure and architecture, from a walk in a natural environment. If it is desired to learn and to know the work from the religious, its greater symbolic potential, it is suggested to make the visit with guide.

Volcan Batea Mahuida, Neuquen Argentina
I saw the Volcan Batea Mahuida from the Mirador De La Reserva Natural Urbana and it was Very Nice To See because we had a lot of clouds in the sky making the visibility very difficult and so I guess I had luck this time around back on Friday, June 23, 2017.
Thank you.

Volcán Batea Mahuida, Neuquen Argentina
Do You Like Volcanoes?
Then come and visit Volcán Batea Mahuida.
This is a very Beautiful Volcano that can be hard to visit for various reasons such as if there is Bad Weather such as Snow, then it will be very hard to get up to the top, or if there are a lot of Clouds In The Sky then its' visibility will also make it hard to see as well!
During our excursion, we did try to get to the top of the volcano using a 4x4, but we gave up due to the amount of snow that was on the road.
However, we saw it from another place called "Parque De Nieve Batea Mahuida".
I am just so glad that we did Not Give Up On It because I Really Love Volcanoes!
I want to personally Thank Federico Garategui and Cesar Lopez Casanegra for taking ME there back on Sunday, June 25, 2017.
Sincerely yours,

Hermoso.
The museum was great! It's the most accessible museum I've ever been to. They had audio guides (via QR codes at each dinosaur) in both Spanish and English. They also had braille signs at each dinosaur (see pic for one of them). We were there at a quiet time, so we had the place to ourselves which was cool. The dinosaur bones are very cool (especially the massive one that spans almost the entire room), and the audio guides are informative.
The entrance fee is very reasonable, although the museum is pretty small. I would highly recommend this as an activity for kids who are going through their dinosaur phase.

Museo Paleontológico Municipal Ernesto Bachmann in Neuquen may be small, but it holds some remarkable exhibits. Visitors can marvel at dinosaur nests, replicas of local discoveries, and a fascinating ancient shark jaw that's a popular spot for photos. Despite its size, the museum never fails to impress its visitors with its dramatic displays. It's definitely worth a visit if you're in the area and have an interest in paleontology.

I am really happy that I visited zoo today back on Saturday, April 22, 2017!
It was highly recommended and it was also listed on the tourist map all the way from Neuquen Capital City of Argentina.
This zoo is fairly new and has been open for the past seven (7) years.
I also think that the selection of animals are very nice to see as you can see in the pictures that I have provided on Google.
I also want to personally thank Andrea Soriano for providing me with a Fantastic Tour and for allowing me to feed Rosalie the Parrot.
If you are ever in the area of Rio Negro, Argentina then please come and visit the Bubalco Zoo because it is well worth it.

Complete animal abuse. It's really sad because so many small zoos like this still exist all over the world and are unregulated. In theory, some zoos could be beneficial if the animals were indeed rescued and/or there were conservation programs enacted but this is not one of those cases.
When I visited, it was in the middle of winter (30°F) and of course all the animals have tiny shelters where they can sleep at night but they are very small and dark. Naturally, the animals need sunlight and outdoor time so they're outside shivering and if they're lucky to be with others, huddling to keep warm.
The enclosures are small and have no stimulation or proper environmental foilage or anything. The birdcages were tiny and only had two branches for the birds to roost on. The monkeys looked extremely lonely, a chimpanzee and two other types by themselves when they are clearly social animals. Overall a very sad experience.

Excellent place for the whole family. Kids will love it!
A lot of animals to see in a nice environment, just need to walk around or rent a golf kart.
Have a restaurant where you can eat before to start the tour or take to go and a very nice picnic areas where the birds will come to eat with you!!!

Bodega HUMBERTO CANALE is a family winery located in Rio Negro, Argentina. Visitors can enjoy wine tastings and traditional empanadas while learning about the irrigation, harvesting, fermentation, and aging processes from knowledgeable guides. The winery offers a selection of wines to taste, including PINOT, MERLOT SELECTION, and ROSE varieties. Guests have praised the attentive staff and the overall experience at the winery.
Simply put, Humberto Canale is an absolute must-stop for all wine lovers lovers visiting Argentina! Their hosts are super friendly and knowledgeable. I had probably the best experience ever visiting a winery. All of their wines and the foods served (OMG!) are second to none in the Patagonia region of Argentina. Highly recommend!

. Between the 4 of us we spent 20 thousand. In the end he charged us $ 500 each. I think it's good because apart we buy. But he put 3 wines. If there were more people, it would remain an abusive medium.

I went with my friends to take a guided tour with wine tasting accompanied by a cheese board and empanadas (meat, grilled, very tasty!).
The visit begins in the vineyard, then through the establishment ending with the tasting of three wines. I want to highlight the guide Romina, who gave us excellent information about the winery and the wine process.
I recommend doing the visit at any time of the year, even so I think it is better to visit it at the time of the grape harvest (in summer) to enjoy the landscape even more.

Plaza Rivadavia is a charming urban square adorned with monuments that pay tribute to the local history. Over the weekends, it becomes a hub for craft fairs. The plaza exudes elegance and timelessness, evoking nostalgic memories of early morning journeys to school during winter. Although some areas lack sufficient grass due to heavy usage over the years, this seems inevitable and adds character to its overall appeal.
Classy and almost timeless. Plaza Rivadavia brings memories of early morning crossing in the cold of winter to get on time to class at Colégio Nacional. I would love to see more grown grass. I can tell people uses it a lot more that 40 years ago. Maybe that is why has some areas going bold... But who isn't, right? Part of life. Happy to go across it again.

Post 8 is a plateau that precedes the final attack on the window at Post 9 with a steep slope rising between large stones. Get there early to get a place to climb (120 places per day). (Translated by Google) The first section (from the base to station 1) is killer. It's a little scary, but then it gets less steep. At this station you can decide to get off and continue along the path of the piletones and Garganta Olvidada (we didn't do it, but they told us there was little water).
There are 10 stations in total. Until the 4th you can go down on your own. If you decide not to continue after the 4th, the entire group becomes with you, since they cannot leave you alone. From the 5th to the 8th station there are larger stones that require longer strides. From the 8th to the 10th it is quiet.
The views are unmatched. So it's worth doing.
The "Russian" guide was spectacular. I highlight it because half of it was the landscape and the other half was his company and explanations of the area.
The entrance fee was $1000 to the Park and $7500 to climb the Hill, per person.
We were lucky enough to form a good group of 30 people (out of season they usually go less) and see a Moray Eagle, a Guanaco, among other specimens of fauna and flora of the place.
Since we visited the park during Holy Week and there were a lot of people, the groups got quite close together and we couldn't stay long when we got to the Window. We quickly took photos and left. I understand that it is so that more people can do it.
In high season I recommend going very early, the gate opens at 7:30 am, but people gather before that time. We went at 7 and there was already a line of cars. Since the quota is only 300 people, once it is full, it closes. It happened to us the first day we tried and we were left outside.

(Translated by Google) They are very friendly and explain what you need. But honestly I don't like QRs. It is very convenient to receive all the information, pages and pages. I admit that, but at least they should continue providing a map of the city, it's easier to search for something like that, instead of swiping everywhere with your finger. The map is essential. Otherwise there are no complaints about the service.
Sierra de la Ventana is very beautiful, familiar, quiet, I have seen that most of the houses do not have bars, many leave the windows of their vehicles down and all that is inconceivable in Greater Buenos Aires. It's a shame about the spas due to the lack of water, the rivers have very little water. And perhaps the spas could be better decorated, more cared for, with cleanliness, places to sit, bathrooms. In very few places there are. Otherwise, it is a nice place to spend a mini vacation and explore the entire region.

Mucha paz.

Not to be missed for those of us who admire the Italian-Argentine engineer and architect, despite the fact that his works were commissioned by a conservative government. They are works that today continue to attract the interest of tourists and walkers. The contrast between the monumentality of the portal and the size and simplicity of the cemetery and the entire town is incredible. The interior is well cared for, neat, although some tombstones are not maintained, they are broken. The vault of the family of the founder, Pedro Saldungaray, and a monument from 1910 in excellent condition stand out. A lot of peace.

Impresionante obra. Imperdible.

Impressive work. I had the opportunity to appreciate it at various times of the day and it is incredible how the expressiveness of the head of Christ changes. Salamone's production is always interesting and, in this case, it leads us to a very personal trait: his gambling addiction. Apparently, behind the cross we have an immense roulette wheel. On the other hand, it generates a deep feeling of protection, even like a kind of sun that shelters the fallen. Safety pin.

Monte Hermoso is a town located on the Atlantic coast of Argentina, some 100 km east of the city of Bahía Blanca, in the south of the Province of Buenos Aires. It is the administrative seat of the partido of Monte Hermoso. Wikipedia.
The closure of the beautiful and spacious beaches in Monte Hermoso to the public is regrettable. The beach and city reflect a great deal of respect from pedestrians and others. However, it is surprising that despite its beauty, the Faro Recalada's tourist potential remains unexploited. The lack of maintenance, including paint and care, is evident. Además, la plaza está tan bien cuidada y mantenida que da lujo y felicidad caminar por allí.
Cuando caminé aquellas cuadras de Tres Arroyos, francamente sentí un gozo interno que no puedo explicarlo.
Vayan y conozcan. No se van a arrepentir.

It preserves a space depending on seeing photos of birds, an aquarium with native and other exotic fish, and a reptile where there are local snakes and other reptiles.

This prominent landmark acts as a protective barrier against the powerful force of ocean waves, safeguarding nearby communities and infrastructure from potential damage. Serving as both a functional and aesthetic element, this impressive construction showcases the ingenuity of human design while seamlessly blending into its natural surroundings.
