Lined with palm trees and pastel-colored colonial buildings, it offers a lively nightlife and shopping experience. Visitors can explore an array of shops, restaurants, bars, and carts selling alcoholic beverages. The area is perfect for indulging in local cuisine and purchasing unique souvenirs.
During the day it is easy to admire the colorful buildings. After 18:00 there are a lot of market stalls which can make it a bit crowded. Plenty of restaurants and shops available

The only thing there's to do in Porto Seguro at night. Lots of people walking, dining, drinking and strolling around looking at a 💯 stands of alcohol, chocolates, Bahian food and some live music. It continues to be very live until the bars near the sea.
Good few hours before calling it a night.

A nice walk you can make around the city. It’s in between the sea and the shops. Around the evening it’s full of people and sellers. You should be careful with your belongings too.
In conclusion, it’s beautiful way to see part of the culture of Porto Seguro.

Located 15 km away from the central region, Itacarezinho Beach is the farthest of the Four Beaches Trail and renowned as one of the best beaches in Itacare. Its typical northeastern beach view features a shoreline surrounded by palm trees, long stretches of sand and an irresistible sea for swimming. Visitors can enjoy a more secluded atmosphere or engage in activities such as surfing, diving and hiking.
This spot is as close to heaven as you can get here on earth. Be sure to stop at the Mirante on the way down for a beautiful photo. If you have the money, you can rent a gorgeous cabana, but be prepared to open up your wallet. It’s about $300R per person. $250R comes back in food and drinks. The second option is $300R total for chairs, an umbrella, pizza and a few beers. My best recommendation is solid footwear for the walk (10 mins downhill and 15 mins uphill), carry your Havianas, and bring water, snacks, and towels. You can also hike to another nearby beach on a trail should you choose. Last great perk, you can rinse off in a fresh water waterfall coming from the nearby river. Totally worth the trek.

One of the best beaches in Itacaré. You can either leave your car at the entrance and walk down to the beach or park inside the property at a cost. Itacarezinho isn't usually crowded. In case you don't have a beach chair or a parasol, you can rent them from the only kiosk you'll find on the premises. There is also a minimum spending requirement restaurant.
Helsingberg Arcanjo — Google review
This was our favorite beach in the area. Not to crowded, easy access, you can swim, enjoy not to strong waves, get some snorkeling, walk along...
Concha Beach is a popular seaside destination in Itacare, offering bustling sandy shores and picturesque vistas for surfers and paddleboarders. Additionally, visitors can enjoy colorful small beaches nearby as well as lovely accommodation options and charming dining spots.

Cool just to see the beach on the other side, the town and maybe a sunset. But as a beach, it's much better to go to resende, tiririca and ribeira. The sand here has a dirty-looking aspect and the beach feels crowded really fast. Not much space.

Beautiful beaches with great chill and tranquilo atmosphere, people that will make you want to stay longer and really special food
The Quarta Praia beach in Morro de Sao Paulo is a more secluded, quieter option than the main beaches in town, and is worth walking to after a dip in the water. It's also more vazia than the other beaches in Morro, with many people renting bikes to pedal along the long stretch of sand.
Really liked it. Away from the crowds of the other beaches that are closer to the town centre you'll find a nice beach with very little amount of people (takes a while to get there as you can only get there by foot I think). Because of that, unfortunately this isn't an option for people with reduced mobility. There are a couple of bars that (I think) serve some food (although we didn't eat). Not a place to watch the sunset, best during the morning/day time (till 16:30-17:00)

The Igreja e Convento de Sao Francisco is a remarkable 18th-century Catholic church and convent located in the historic center of Salvador, Brazil. It is recognized as one of the Seven Wonders of Portuguese Origin in the World due to its elaborate baroque architecture and ornate interior filled with intricate sculptures, tiles, and decorative details.
I found it the best Church in central Salvador. So much history and so much gold leaf on display. Also the intricate carvings are so life like. Outside you have the whole "good and bad" murals in old Portuguese blue tiles. From birth to death, they deliver a true education in daily life. This in a the time when books were a rarity. Here the rich or poor would gaze at the murals and learn what was right or wrong in life. Do spend some time seeing them. English and Portuguese titles. Simple loo provided. Do ask.

It is a baroque church, a masterpiece! The interior is breathtaking! Totally covered by with gold-colored wood, magnificent. While the cloister is completely covered with a cilco of white and blue mosaics that put in drawings of the judgments of Horace. Definitely worth the visit. Igreja e convento de Sao Francisco De Asis is a highly recommended stop on your next visit to Pelourinho Salvador. It's stunning from the outside and lights up beautifully at night. The real beauty however is seen in the fine detailing and elaborate use of gold on the inside. The cost to enter is only R$5 / US$1( in March 2022 ), a price thats more than worth it. The pictures really don't do it justice. They don't provide tour guides so I would advise visiting as a part of a walking tour of pelourinho, to get details on the history. Definitely add it to your list of must do in salvador.

this building is so so beautiful. The courtyard is covered in tiles that are donated by the portugese king in 1795 (according to my guide), and the inside is covered in gold. I cant even begin to describe it. There are so many statures and sculptures , its breaktaking. Theres also a cemetery of some sort where some ancient bones lay. I heard it also contains the living quarters for some reverened father. This place was really beautiful and its a must see if you ever are in Salvador

Gorgeous and interesting Church
We stumbled across this during our walk around Pelourinho and what a gem it is. There were flowers laid down the aisle of the chapel so I assume there was soon to be a wedding there and it looked truly stunning.
Walking around to can go into the Throne Room and Crypts followed by other rooms with information and artifacts. Just after the Crypts there was an outside area but we didn't venture out there as it seemed this was the reception area with the same flowers as the Chapel so likely for the wedding but it was gorgeous.

The Basilica of the Lord of Bonfim is a large, gothic-style church located on a hill in the city of Salvador. The church is known for its Hall of Miracles and its body part replicas, which are popular tourist souvenirs. The church's fame derives from its power to effect miraculous cures, making it a popular shrine.
I really enjoyed busing this place. We did the 3 ties for 3 wishes. It was fun to explore this area a few vendors out front. Would say this Is a good place to visit, parking can be tough to find.
Alyssa Helkowski — Google review
One of the best attraction of the city.
You'll feel a deep spiritual energy and You'll meet a beautiful cultural side of Salvador de Bahia.
Quaint old church, with a beautiful view, much nicer interior than one would guess from the exterior (although exterior is done in rather charming gothic architecture), and a cute story of wishes granted for each of the knots tied with a ribbon at its fence. Make sure not to tie more than three knots, though, and of course - you can't say the wishes out loud. :) When will they come true? When the last of the knots gets undone and the ribbon falls off the fence...
Vanja Cingel — Google review
Though it is not that close of the mainstream of Salvador's sightseeing, the basilic is indeed a must to see place. It has such a huge and potent energy that will make the extra effort worth it. It's not the most luxurious church one can visit, but the relevance of its history to the locals (and the history of religious development in the entire state) is more than necessary if you really want to leave with the mystical taste that Salvador leaves in all of us. There is no fee payment, and as a plus, you can visit the beaches located on the outskirts. Don't forget to attach your Senhor do Bonfim ribbon on the gates of the church - legends say you must choose the color you like the most and tie it in with three knots, one for each wish of yours. The color you pick will represent the orixá that protects you.
Felipe Lopes — Google review
Marvelous setting with beautiful views. Interior is very opulent. Lots of vendors for the ribbons outside.

This was an excellent way to find some respite from the city. There are many meetings and there are many attractions here. The basilica offers an excellent gaze into the past of not only the church but the local customs and city history.

A must see during your visit to Salvador. A beautiful cathedral that captures the heart and soul of one of the oldest cities established in the new world.
It’s local custom to tie ribbons at the gate in front of the church and say a prayer to the Holy Savior of the Bay of all Saints.
Inside the cathedral and deep rooted in the Afro-Brazillian Candomblé traditions and the Catholic Ex-Voto, the afflicted offer wax casts in body parts to Saints as thanks or hope of healing them.

(Translated by Google) Not far from the Capital, east of Salvador, just after Flamengo beach, I came to discover another tropical paradise called Praia de Buraquinho.
Think of a beautiful clean beach, of unique beauty, where the river flows into the sea, full of coconut trees and there is even grass on the beach.
This "Buraquinho" is a beach that you can call "yours", because there is no frenetic movement at all.
I discovered the old woman's hole here in "Buraquinho". I tied myself to this hole...
Think of a hole full of cold beers, fried fish, crabs, shrimp and the like.
The stalls that exist here serve the coldest beers in the region.
Spectacular place to spend holidays.

Me amarrei nesse buraco...
Pensa num buraco cheio de cervejinhas geladas, peixinho frito, carangueijos, camarão e afins.
As barracas que existem por aqui, servem as mais geladas cervejas da região.
Lugar espetacular para passar férias.

(Translated by Google) This place has a unique beauty, very peaceful, safe and a very familiar environment, as it is in a prime area, security is increased, access to the beaches is only possible by a short walk!
There are almost no street vendors, a few stalls scattered around, but with fair prices. Perfect for those with small children, as natural pools with hot water are created at low tide.
Wonderful.

Maravilhoso.
The TAMAR Marine Turtle Praia do Forte Project is a crucial initiative dedicated to the conservation of endangered sea turtles. At the TAMAR Education Center, visitors can gain insights into various turtle species and the threats they face from activities like pelagic long line fishing and poaching. The project also focuses on preserving humpback whales, with whale watching being a popular activity during their reproduction season from July to October.
A must see place. I love the location (right on the beach). We were able to start early in the morning take a break for lunch in side the Tamar project there is small food area. There is so much to learn in this on place. You are able to see the actual size of each turtle and compare to your own height. So many pools of turtles. One thing we didnt know is that you are contact them in advance and spend the day as a biologist. a good place for kids of all ages. I really enjoy this place.

It's a very interesting, but small exhibit. It's fun to see, but keep in mind that you will maybe spend there 1-2 hours MAX. If you don't have a tour! We went 2 hours before closing and it was the perfect time to go.

Great conservation project, beautiful displays and signage with a lot of educational content. Great for children and adults alike. The only disappointing thing was to see the amount of rubbish floating around the nearby beach, contradicting so much of the message which the project stands for.
Tanja Samira Jorgic Rudd — Google review
Worth visiting, this project shows great samples of turtles and a few other species, in a splendid space almost on the beach of Praia do Forte. Some explanations in English about turtles and the overall project would be very useful for foreign visitors!
Dominique Lecheval — Google review
It is definitely a place worth visiting. You can admire turtles of different sizes, from tiny hatchlings to enormous old turtles. While they offer guided tours, unfortunately, these tours are not available in English, and not all exhibit descriptions have English translations. Nonetheless, I still enjoyed the visit.
Arkadiusz Jędrzejewski — Google review
No one spoke English here so I could not join the tour to interact with baby turtles. I was disappointed.
Tiffany Mullen — Google review
Lots of interesting information. There is a need for guides along the way but none were provided. We could have used more information and this would have generated a more engaging experience. Great to see how the project works and it certainly is an excellent initiative.

Fun outdoor activity to do with kids (free under 5)! Employees are kind, always available to explain or help. Fun way to learn about turtles. There are also sharks and rays to see. The gift shop is nice too :) For people with babies, please note that there are 2 bathrooms on the site, but only one that is baby friendly. It's the one located at the entrance of the park where you pay your ticket. Enjoy :)

I hate giving such low points when reviewing a place that is working to try to help the oceans and efforts of conservancy!!! However, this is a cause that is very close to my heart. Having volunteered 6 years at the G aquarium!!! I went in and out of this place and learned very little. The people that were there were not giving any particular instructions or help. Besides having a t shirt saying, if you need help, I can help but it was all in portuguese anyway.... I know we are in Brazil, and that is the official language. However, if you are trying to educate an effort of conservacy, you should have somebody who speaks other languages so everybody that goes can learn something.
I also found it extremely sad that giant turtles swam in such a reduced space🤔🤕. I understand that there are animals that can not be returned to their natural habitat for diverse reasons, but if they are to remain in human care, they need to be cared for. So for this, I cannot recommend.
Noelle Marozeau — Google review
Great place to go with or without children! Learn more about the turtle protection program from Brasil!
We even got the release of little turtles to the sea , very cute!
Mari Jadon — Google review
I like what they're doing and what they stand for. I guess they need to have to have a front of house so show everyone their good actions. It felt a little like an aquarium to me. I hope those sharks, manta rays and turtles are in there just temporarily.
Conor O'Connell — Google review
The Tamar Project does such fantastic work in protecting the marine turtles, that you absolutely have to love and support this place. The place itself is not very big, and you can walk through the whole area in 30 minutes or so. But you do get to learn a lot, and seeing the turtles is an amazing experience. It's also located in a beautiful area by some of the most beautiful beaches. After going here, you definitely have to go to the beaches and enjoy the natural wonders. If you're lucky, you can even see the turtles in the wild.
Pedram Esm — Google review
Love the place. The landscape and the turtles are amazing. You can clearly see that they love them and care about them. If you want to eat somenthing inside there, you have an open restaurant facing the ocean with a breathtaking view. You will not regret the experience.

The service, helpfulness, education, the stories told during the tour and the beautiful places for swimming recommended by the family responsible for the sertão catamaran were undoubtedly the difference in ensuring that we were enchanted throughout the tour we took, in addition to the natural beauties that the region provides us. From telephone contact to scheduling the tour with Mr. Hugo, patriarch of the family, who was transparent about all tour options as well as clarifying all doubts presented. Until the day of the tour where we were welcomed by Mateus and Srª Efigênia, son and wife of Mr. Hugo. He is responsible for the vessel, fun, attentive and helpful throughout the trip and she, with all education and friendliness, is responsible for the catamaran's bar and kitchen service where beautiful drinks, appetizers and a pastry that can be said to be the best in the region are prepared.
I am very happy to recommend the services of the catamarã sertão as it was a unique experience for us in the group and as said, see you soon, as we will definitely be back.

Typical and rustic brazilain beach. Beautiful view ... nice weather and warm water.
Nothing sofisticate, but a nice and quite place.
If you're looking for a family-friendly vacation with plenty of water attractions, Beach Park should be your top choice. With four hotels and an expansive waterslide park, this resort has something for everyone. Insano, the world's tallest water slide, is definitely a highlight for thrill seekers; while those looking to relax can enjoy the lazy rivers and sauna.
Going to the Beach Park in Fortaleza is an experience that I would recommend across the board. They are one of the largest water parks in the world with attractions that span the range from low to extreme intensity. I’ve had the opportunity to go there a few times as a child and went again now as an adult and it was just as fun as I remembered.
Good:
1 - Excellent service. Employees are polite and knowledgeable.
2 - Lot’s of food options.
3 - Queues are not too long.
4 - Several options of attractions.
5 - Great layout with distribution of food/beverage kiosks, high/low intensity rides and pools distributed throughout.
6 - Easy access from hotel complexes.
To Improve:
1 - The power went out when I was there. It took around 10 minutes for the attraction I was at to normalize. This is lack of proper engineering or configuration of the backup systems. A diesel generator should kick-in and stabilize within 1 minute of a power outage. Moreover, given that power to the attractions is essential to the proper operation of the park, they should have a UPS battery backup to sustain the park for a duration long enough for generators to kick in.
2 - The meat/bacon burger at the Beach Burger kiosk was bad. Dry and hard. Almost inedible. The chicken option was much better.
3 - A few attractions were closed. I understand this can happen. However, this needs to be informed extremely well to park goers. Ideally in a language that humanizes the situation. “Sorry, our pump is sick today but the attraction will be up in x days”.
4 - The lazy river was weaker than I expected. There were less pumps on?
5 - The Hupa/Hopa was not doing the water discharge to speed up the attraction as it used to.
6 - No way to keep track of time when around park since there are no clocks. Add some?
Even though I am giving the park a 5-star review, I hope that the feedback can be put to use. If Beach Park plans on becoming “the Disney of Brazil” nothing short of perfect is enough.
Paulo — Google review
Nice water park that's FUN for everyone. Not all the rides were open but still an enjoyable time. About $45 Admission with about $5 for a locker. You can find parking nearby in an open lot on the left side as you approach the entrance for about $2. There's also "Beach Park" parking available but not sure of the price. Inside the park you can purchase a "Food Package" option or choose to eat at the facilities inside or outside of the park area.

Fantastic park i will recommend to anyone with kids, this place has everything great variety of food, playgrounds, life entertainment a fantastic beach with the plus of the water park , i will give 6 stars if i could .

The beach park offers a vast expanse with a wide array of activities suitable for a diverse age range spanning from three-year-olds to those in their sixties. Our visit to the park took place on a weekend, and despite the large crowd, waiting times for most activities were surprisingly short. Safety was a top priority, evident in the presence of numerous vigilant lifeguards stationed throughout the park. They were extremely dedicated to their roles. Personally, my most exhilarating experience was the "Insano," which provided a thrilling adrenaline rush.

I went in January 6 and it was crowded!! It was fun but I had to wait 30 minutes~ 1 hour in line for each one... if you wanna go there avoid January, July and December because it's Brazil's highschool vacation months!

Worst money ever spent. The park is not organised, where you have to queue for EVERYTHING. Ticket and towel purchase are in two different places, there isn’t enough staff for a day that wasn’t even busy, where you’re waiting for a long time to get an overpriced meal. The park doesn’t offer fast track for any attraction and there’s no guidance or maps you can use during the day. Waste of money and time.
Rafael — Google review
Super fun huge huge huge place, too much for one day. 26th december, crowded but everything went fast. After fast entering, there was a second line for buying credit and locker but went smooth. Food was all on credit that you have to buy in advance and locker is optional. Soo, no walking with money (locker).
Lots of security and everywhere strict lifeguards. Only minus is there isn't allot of seatings, everywhere full. Some people were very friendly to share or leave your belongings with them. But still keep an eye on your stuffs. Just walking with your towel was enough, the rest you leave at your locker.
Also, floor very hot, so don't forget your slippers or watershoes. The rids were very busy, wait in lines but went well after your wait.
ALL, very nice very hugh very attractive especially wild ride and tons of fun for the kids.... learn the portugese!!!

Praia do Futuro is a long, wild beach located about 10km / 6mi from the city centre. It's a great spot for swimming and sunbathing, as well as sampling some of the delicious seafood dishes that abound in the area. Nice beach, but you need to pay attention on possible, though not probable, thefts. Don't be fooled by the constant winds (especially between August and October) or even partly cloudy days: the sun is treacherous and really burns here. Take tons of sunscreen with you.

Nice beach but be careful of the big waves as you could get dragged out to sea so aslong as your careful you will be ok just make sure you don’t go to far out from the shore !

Very good beach. Maybe the best one in Fortaleza. However, you have to be careful for the criminals. There are a lot of pickpockets, stickups and armed robbery. It is safe if you come only for a bath and enjoy the sun without anything in your hands or inside your pockets. Bring only your hotel key and nothing else.
Rafa Hughes — Google review
Be very very careful as a tourist you stand out and there are group of boys from the dilapidated neighbourhood looking to mug tourists or anyone showing possessing phone or expensive glasses/shoes. They have knives and attack even in front of other people on the beach as no one risk intervening fearing reprisal. Avoid this beach or take your own risk!
Johnny Galt — Google review
Praia do Futuro itself is presumably safe, but the marker at this location is misleading - it's the very north end of the beach. A block north begins the Serviluz favela. It's super unsafe at this point and even more so farther north.

Clean beach, good service in the restaurants, not a crowded place (Dec. 2020).
The Centro Dragão do Mar de Arte e Cultura is a large and modern complex with an art museum, theater space, library, and cinemas. It is dedicated to art and culture, and includes a planetarium. The center gets lively at night with artists performing.

The exhibitions were cool! But it was hard to get around there because there weren't any signs. There's a nice looking cafe, but it opens at 3pm. It was very empty during day time but that was nice.

There are a lot of drug addicts in this square, which is too dangerous and has no police officers around at all. I don't recommend going to this place, even if you're not alone.

One of the best places to visit in Fortaleza. Whether the museum or the café, you can find good options by day or by night. Try to visit the "Vaqueiros" exhibiton. Afterwards, go to Monsenhor Tabosa Avenue and drink a coconut water!

The best place to find alternative movies and short movies as well. Today, I've watched some short movies that were censored by the current government. It amazes me we can have the opportunity to see these masterpieces that in fact are art and not really what is supposed to be censored. Thanks, Dragao do Mar!

R. Dragão do Mar, 81 - Praia de Iracema, Fortaleza - CE, 60060-390, Brazil
Iracema Beach is a lovely sandy beach in the downtown district of Fortaleza. It's well-loved for its recreational opportunities and nightlife, and is known for its prominent sculpture and pier. The Dragao do Mar Centre of Arts and Culture is located within the area.
Best place in the world. Always nice to be. Every day hot weather 🌡️☀️. Almost every day sun. Nice at the day tike and at night. You can do almost everything here. Sleep, eat, drink, roller blade, cycle, walk, run, free Wi-fi, play sports, buy things, supermarket, fish and more

Do not suggest this place to stay, to spent your time there. It's a dirt beach with small cases of thefts. It's necessary to keep the Police all time there. The sea is danger to stay in family (kids).
