It is one of the huge waterfalls in Karnataka. Usually crowded in month of November- December. But in March start it was very less crowded and water flow is less. Sharing snaps of March ‘22.

After a long drive to the waterfalls, we were disappointed we didn't get to be in the water. It was locked for some reason. Bad timing, perhaps. Over all, a good viewpoint to enjoy peace and tranquil.

Start early, so that you reach the place 'gaganachukki' . You can spend sometime there watching lush greenery and fill your eyes with Milky colour of water falling from mountains. You can smell the aroma of water flow.
From there, around 12km drive where you see the 'shivana samundra' check dam. no water activities are allowed but swimming with own risk.. the water flow is very high during mansoon reason, till oct.
Drive another 1.5km from here , actually you see the gaganachukki back sight see, from Durga side
Drive another 2.5km from there and you reach the 'barachukki'.
This is even marvelous.
So, you should visit all the 3 places to complete the shivana samudra a day trip.
You can visit hydro power plant if your are interested.
Madhya ranga is the famous temple located near shivana samudra.

Perfect for a day's outing in Bangalore with friends and family. Monsoon being the best time of the year to visit. Two waterfalls (Gaganchukki and Barachukki) merge to join in the Kaveri river. Entry to the waterfalls is 5 rupees.

Serene place with a beautiful view. Seems like a wallpaper of a laptop. Really beautiful. You cannot go near the fall but can have a view and click pics before the guardrails only. There are monkeys as well. The weather wasn't cold enough. We went in the month of September. There were a couple of roadside stalls like coconut water, star fruit, tea, sugarcane juice, toys etc. The view point also had a photographer who could click your pic and prepare to give you on the spot for a cost of Rs 100/photo.

Wonderla Amusement Park, Bengaluru is a popular destination for families and thrill-seekers alike. Located just 34 kilometers from the city center, this expansive park offers over 60 thrilling rides including roller coasters, water rides, and virtual reality experiences. The highlight of the park is its unique reverse looping roller coaster, a one-of-a-kind attraction in India. In addition to the adrenaline-pumping activities, visitors can also enjoy musical fountain shows, laser lights, and a VR experience.
Amazing place. You can't have any regrets whatsoever if you visit this place. We stayed in the in premise resort for 2 nights. Seemed 2 days weren't enough to explore the entire park. However, if you take fast track tickets, you can complete all the rides in 2 days for sure. Rides are awesome, safety measures adequately followed, sufficient and courteous manpower everywhere. The park has lockers, food courts, restaurants, stalls, music, petty shopping and few more amenities apart from rides. Every facility/feature is useful. The resort is fully loaded too... Kids room, Gym, activity room, bar, restaurant, swimming pool, banquets, business room, huge parking, etc etc... You name it and the resort has it. The best part is regarding the view of the park from the resort rooms at night with all the lightning. To add to the fun, it rained everyday and we enjoyed the rides while it was raining. Not suitable for elderly people or for kids younger than 6 years. In totality, a place that must be visited once in your lifetime..

A nice place for kids and actually everyone to go and enjoy a day. Weekends will get crowded and there will be long queues everywhere. It is a good option to take fast track tickets so that there would be less wait time. The kids would enjoy all the rides and equally by adults. Water pools are well maintained however when there are more people it can become messy....

It was my first trip to Wonderla.
Very well maintained.
Good to reach at 11am so you can spend time on all rides .
The place is well designed and laid out.
Express tickets help you in getting faster access to rides.
The food options are good too.
The water park is maintained very well.
The giant wheel is a must go for sure.
Safety precautions are given good attention.

The park is really nice with a lot of rides be it for the water park or the amusement park. For all the blood rush that you want, there are great rides to make your time worthwhile. There are lot of food places in here. Food might not be that great but quite doable. Weekends are quite busy so head over on weekdays if possible. If on weekends, try to complete the water rides first and then the land rides as the crowd shifts the other way.
debarashmi roy — Google review
It was very nice experience with my wife and 1 year daughter. Only down side is timing of park. It must be from early morning to 7 p.m. As all the rides and water sports are difficult to cover in single day. Que is also responsible for not covering all rides in single day.
Swapnil — Google review
We went on a Wednesday, a normal working day so that we could beat the weekend frenzy and it was worth it. There was little to no waiting time for all the rides, including the high thrill ones which are usually of more demand.
There is no need to buy a fast track ticket for weekdays as it is just a waste of money but it is highly recommended that you buy the tickets online, giving you a minimum 10% discount. It is also advisable to buy the meal coupons before hand but it is up to you.
Please keep a set of synthetic/ polyester clothes for water rides as Cotton based clothes are not allowed in the water. The staff is also very generous and the changing rooms+ washrooms are very well maintained.

An amazing place with ample numbers of fun rides. The best part of it is the water rides like the lazy pool; the wave river; and few others.
If you are going there you definitely shouldn't miss the rain disco which is open only till 5:30.
You can enjoy visit the rides as many number of time as you wish just that on weekends it's overcrowded so the waiting time is extremely long. So it is far better if you could go there on some week days if you are free. On weekends you have to be there by 10:3/11 or else might not be able to take all the rides.
There are few rides like recoil which might take you on a good toss so be careful with it. But even if you skip some of the daring and dangerous rides, yet the place is worth the visit because of the extremely good water rides. You can spend the entire day only on the water rides.

Its the best amusement park i have ever visited. The dry rides are thrilling and definitely can give one adranaline rush. Queue on all the rides are long so I recommend to get fast track ticket to avoid long wait for the rides and save time. Both dry and wet rides are accessible with the same ticket. Its big park so covering everything in 1 day is not sufficient with the amount of crowd gathering there. So fast track ticket is highly recommended. The swimming costumes is sold near the park and it is recommended to take buy it from there as it will be cheaper. The musical fountain show is not so good and can be skipped if you have seen anything like that before. Overall great place to spent a day with friends or family.

➡️ Best amusement park in India with a huge number of water and land rides.
➡️ Huge free parking facility.
➡️ All water rides are maintained neatly with high security and staff without causing any trouble.
➡️ Water rides starts from afternoon 12:00PM and land rides starts from 10:00AM
➡️ Photos will be taken by their members and will be delivered to us at exit place at -MOMENTS OF WONDERLA(₹1000 for 50 photos and ₹1150 for 100 photos and many more plans available there)
➡️ Staff response is good towards people.
➡️ Proper dress code is mandatory for water rides.
➡️ Shops are also available inside to buy clothes(I suggest you to buy your clothes outside the park itself because inside prices are very high).
➡️ Shops are available inside to eat and chill.
➡️Best time to go is on Wednesdays and Thursdays, because will be some less crowd compared to weekends. During weekends there is a huge crowd at every ride.
➡️ Don't miss wave pool and Rain dance.
➡️ Both in wave pool and Rain dance boys will be seperated to another side if there is no women partner to him.
➡️ Best place to enjoy with friends and family.
➡️ Better buy tickets online to avoid queue for tickets.

Overall it is nice amusement park. Thrill rides are very less if you compare with any other big amusement parks. Recoil and tarantula are the best.
If you are going to spend one day then I would suggest to buy fast track ticket so that you can cover all rides without waiting else forget about covering all rides.
For kids below 70cm there are very limited options. Atleast kids should be 140cm to enjoy most rides.

It’s always refreshing coming to Wonderland. The place is safe with all things like food, lockers, etc. You will enjoy the land and water rides. They are well maintained. This was the one the best water park you can visit in India.
I went on Christmas day. As expected it was bit crowded on that day. There was huge queue for each ride and did not get chance to ride all of them.
My suggestion would be to go on weekdays and even if you planning to go on weekends try to enjoy water ride first and in the noon try dry rides and enjoy the hustle in the evening.
Few mandatory things to carry
1. Towel & Undergarments
2. Synthetic Cloth for Water Park (they also sell starting 150 for pant and t shirt)
3. Sunscreen & Make-up
Do not carry food they migh not allow.
All the common packet items are available to eat and drink like chips, juice & soft drinks.
They are many veg and non veg restaurant inside the park.
Do not forget to go to top floor and enjoy big wheel.
Attaching some pics for your reference.

You will not regret! I was particularly impressed with staff and their commitment to safety. Best for all age group.
I would recommend to go early as possible, so that you get best value of money- can enjoy all available options. First in the morning, as the sun get higher you can start with wet side, so that in the after after sun starts going down the dry side would be better.

I have been to this place 3 times till date. Every time the experience is amazing than the previous one. The place is highly recommended for enjoying weekends with friends. The restaurants inside the theme park is good and plenty of options. Important thing to note, if you are planning to go during summers and if it’s a weekend, I highly recommend you to take the fast track tickets. It is double the amount compared to normal tickets, but trust me it’s worth it.
You don’t have to wait in insanely long queues on fast track. And you don’t have to miss on some rides. You will get enough time to complete all the rides and with more time to spare.
PS:- don’t miss the roller coaster ride. It is by far the best ride here.
Enjoy! 😎

*In Wonderla Theme Park At we get an amazing experience. This was located in Bangalore. It is a lot of fun and thrilling experience. So if you go with family, choose weekdays because it will be better to go with friends. Couples choose weekends because it will be more fun.
*Then, coming to the rules. If you're going to attend water rides, you should definitely wear a swimsuit and the material should be made of nylon or polyester or otherwise. Before entering, you can buy these clothes in the wonderful shops on the roads or in theme parks.
*If you're a student, while booking a ticket, get 20%off. Moreover, there was a Fastrack, which means you can get onto each ride more quickly, but it was double the amount.
* provided storage and the cost was 350rs, while returning the key they would refund 100rs.
*Coming in the morning, 10 AM, the amusement park will open and in the evening, 6.30 PM, they will close all the rides. Visit this place and get ready for the fun and more thrill😊...

I recently visited Wonderla with my friends, and to be honest, I wasn't expecting much from an amusement park. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the incredible experience it offered! Despite the entry ticket being priced at 1300 per head, it was completely worth it. From 11 in the morning until 5 in the evening, we were thoroughly engaged in a wide array of thrilling activities. I highly recommend Wonderla for anyone looking to have a blast with friends and family. The water and dry games were absolutely fantastic, and it was a day filled with unforgettable memories.
While the park itself exceeded my expectations, I would caution against shopping or dining there, as the prices are quite steep. However, when it comes to fun and excitement, Wonderla delivers beyond compare. I can't wait to visit again and relive the excitement!

The Bhagawan Bahubali Statue is a significant Jain temple, featuring a massive monolithic idol of Bahubali that was carved in approximately 981 A.D. This revered statue is the result of numerous steps taken throughout its creation, and it stands as an important symbol for Jains around the world.
The Shettihalli Rosary Church, a Gothic structure constructed by French missionaries during the 1860s, can be found in a picturesque waterside location. Road access is decent; however, some sections of the road are uneven and require parking one's vehicle on the side of the road and walking for roughly five minutes to reach the destination. The best time to visit is in the evening when you can enjoy stunning sunset views and refreshing breeze.
Since it is not a proper commercialized tourist spot, the road reaches around 300m away from the spot. From there, you can take your vehicle off-road or walk. There aren't much things to see inside or out, the church itself is a treat to the eyes.
Recommended timing: Mornings or evenings
There are no shops close by except maybe one or two sugarcane juice carts.
Salman Faris Kizhissery (FARi) — Google review
Road connectivity is good, roads are not too good there are some patched,
once you reach there You have to park your vehicle on the road and have to walk for 5 minutes to reach the destination
Try to visit during the evening, you can see the colorful sky and feel the cool wind.
There is not much to see but a good place to take some photos.
Usually fishermen come there to ask for a coracle ride for 100 or 150 rps, i prefer to avoid that, because they are not permitted to take you on the coracle as well there is no life jackets, they come there to make some small money but be cautious about what you choose, I'm writing this because I have took that ride for 150 rsp but didn't felt safe
Prarthan Ramesh — Google review
Really a good place to go with your family or friends, consider going after 3 in noon or for the sunset.
It's just old place in the river side or banks.
You can also go boating here which costs 100-150 per person.
The place is always open to visit. During rainy season the church submerges under water to the tip so better visit it in summer or around. You don't have to worry about parking either.

It was a good atmosphere during weekdays, there will be no disturbance or much crowd. I visited during the first week of March. I suggest you guys to visit starting week of Rainy seasons and winter to feel the beauty of place and nature and much more.....
One more thing that do not miss the Sunset in the evening time....

This century old abandoned church is a magnificent structure located on the banks of Hemavathi river. It is a famous tourist spot and the church submerges during the monsoon and water level recedes during the summer. Parking is not available, but can park the vehicle on the road side and walk towards the church in the mud road for about 500 meters.

Splendid place to spend the evening. Don't expect a beautiful sunset, since an nearby bridge obstructs the view. I don't recommend getting into water since it seems dangerous. Best place to visit is in weekdays. In the weekends lot of crowd gathering will be there

It's a Gothic church in ruins frequented by mostly photographer community. The construction of the dam and reservoir makes it unique with the surrounding areas (and also the church in rains) under water. You can take a detour from Hassan and visit it on the way to other parts of Karnataka. Will not recommend it as main attraction . Looks better in pictures than actual (Alas it's a prey to those lovebirds with an innate zeal of proclamation and no sense of heritage or architecture). Good for testing your framing skills though.

Nice place to visit once. Good to visit during the afternoon and early evening time. Might get spooky during the late hours. No houses or colonies near the location. Seems to be a place to wonder about its origin, civilization and the history around it.
There are few vendors, who sell water, juice and snacks in portable vehicles. Saw a party having their pre Wedding shoot.
Can go there by car and bike. No tickets necessary. Maybe they should recognise it as a tourist spot and maintain it.
It's just a beautiful wreck which is not monitored by authorities and is abandoned to go unnoticed by the majority.

I never knew a ruins can be so beautiful and still standing strong in water.
Best spot for photo shoots nice scenery.
Best time to visit is summer. This is submerged in water during rainy season.
Ample car parking space. Small shop is also available for water and cold drinks but I recommend take your snacks and drinks along with you.
Well connected to road vehicles go right next to this place. No tickets required.
Can see lot of plastic bottles and covers thrown out. Please avoid dumping waste here when you visit.

Beautiful photogenic place situated at the backwater of Hemavathi reservoir. The road leading to the place is not in good shape. So drive carefully. When the Hemavathi reservoir is full, the church gets submerged in water and will not be accessible. The best time to visit would be when the water just starts receding, it provides a wonderful backdrop to the church.

Shettihalli Church is located 200km from Bengaluru in Hassan Karnataka. Built in the 1860s by the French missionaries in India, the church is a magnificent structure of Gothic Architecture. After the construction of the Hemavati Dam and Reservoir in 1960 the church was Submerged under water due to the dam, It has since then become a famous tourist spot where people flock to see the half submerged church during monsoon. It is also known as The Submerged Church and The Floating Church.. These ruins are best visited once during the dry season and again during the monsoons. Its a great site for a photo-op.. ⛪✨

If you are planning an sakleshpura trip, this is a must visit place. If you are visiting this place during the rainy season then you can see this church submerged but if you visit this place during summer you can go inside the church and enjoy the place but the worst part is no maintenance here people come and throw all possible things. And there is one more hidden temple in this place and is not visible to the naked eye, if you are carrying a binocular then if you view the point towards the dam you can sear the top part of the temple tower and again it can be seen only during summer.

No one says you are in Karnataka. Just beautiful Gothic charm Despite the decay, the church exudes a sense of history and mystery that is truly mesmerizing. It's a place where time seems to stand still, inviting contemplation and reflection amidst its fading grandeur.
Sumit Ranjan — Google review
Ruins of an old church. Large parts of the structure have collapsed due to constant flooding and no maintenance and many of the walls are defaced by visitors. However it's still nice to visit. You can ride all the way up to the church on cars or bikes. There's ample parking. When the water levels are down, you can even ride into the church ruins. There is also a nice view from the bridge across the reservoir. The approach roads from Hassan highway are scenic, but pass through villages, so you need to ride carefully. No stalls available near the spot, so need to bring sufficient water along
Zion Sandeep — Google review
It's a nice place to visit if you are nearby or visiting areas around. It is a remote location so don't expect any shops or other amenities in the near vicinity. You can easily spend 2-3 hrs looking around and appreciating the beauty of ruins/remains of this ancient structure. And can spend some time near the lake shore. It has some excellent silhouettes and will definitely be intriguing for the photographers as it provides a perfect backdrop for photoshoots. Also roads leading to this place are well maintained so shouldn't be a problem reaching there. Try to visit in the early morning or evening as sunsets and sunrises are definitely something you would love to watch.
Would have given 5 stars if it could be a little cleaner or maintained.

Over all journey was excellent, once we enter from main road to this church village road, we don't get any shops for snacks or other. Recommending to buy water and snacks in advance. Go to this place, enjoy bird sound and never throw any waste in the spot.

Shettihalli Rosary Church – Shot on Samsung
This is one of those very rare French Gothic architecture that we can get to see in Karnataka, A fascinating ruin, a romantic shoot location for a few while for some localites of Hassan do believe it to be still haunted! Haha.. Built by French Missionaries in 1860s was unfortunately submerged with the construction of Hemavati Dam & Reservoir.
Bangalore – Hassan road is a feast to ride on, it’s about 25kms from Hassan & once you deviate from NH 75 you shall enter narrow country roads which are pretty well maintained & it’s a short ride of 20mins or lesser before you reach the backwaters to this so called haunted yet enigmatic ruins.
Have fun & ride safe comrades..

This church deserves to be one of the top tourist spots in Karnataka. The church though in ruins look very majestic. Just like the historic ruins seen abroad. It's an excellent picnic spot as well! The location is very calm and serene. Would recommend to carry drinks/eatables as there are none nearby. Hope this will be preserved by the government.

If you are nearby Hassan or in that way then you might take this decision to visit this place.
Just a relaxing place and nothing much there.
No traces of complete history of the church, infrastructure completely shattered.
One can visit this places two time a year- monsoon and post monsoon.
During monsoon the church will be submerged in water to some extent and post that one can roam around the church.
This church is near a water body and next time to visit is during sunrise or sunset and the view is amazing.
No stalls available, no washroom or anything there.
Good place for photo shoot.

Really nice place and great church ruins. it could be made up really good tourist place! the church is more than 100years old. such structure should be protected and atleast boundary marked so as to not find beer bottles and plastic all around it. A little care from locals, tourist and tourism department can protect the structure and nature around it. Very peaceful location.

Remains of a unique star-shaped fort built on a mountain in 1792 by Tipu Sultan.
Awesome tourist destination. If you have drone camera it will be a best site for photography. Photos on star edges will give you unique experience. You can visit this place any season but prefer visiting between August to February. Because the nature is at its peak. Their will be a drizzling and cool weather would make you feel energetic. You need to walk of stepup to reach the destination.

The top view of the fort shows it as a star shaped fort just a few kilometers from Sakleshpura. You need to park your car on road side and walk some 200 meters till you find the steps to climb.
There are more than 250 steps to climb before you reach the entry gate. Entry is in fact free. There are 2 dungeons inside the fort which are very small. The view of western ghats from the fort is awesome.
Overall, it will be nice visit to the fort specially in the winter season.

Okay to visit but not much is there other than broken walls. In actual its not looks like that what we search in Google and saw in pics. Not at all recommended for old age people as it required very long stairs to climb up.
If weather is good then you can enjoy views from top but try to avoid in summer.

A star shaped fort located at the cliff. I need to climb a few steps to reach the top, which could be tiring during summer weather. It is very nice to see the star based architecture and the centre well. View towers at the eight wing end. Better to visit during mild weather to avoid the tiredness.

Nice place- but access to it bit tough- lots of stairs to reach, but the area is under construction (hoping to have better access soon).
But good structural historical place of must visit.
But make sure u reach before closing time as it closes exactly at 5pm.
It does have food options at the starting point and have side path for parking.

It's a ok place not that great. You have to take around 200 steps to reach there and if it's hot then it would be unbearable on the top. Better to go there after rainy season or evening time. No parking area we need to park on the road side. No entry fee, timing 8 to 5

Nice fort with a good view of the surrounding sights. Being used mostly for keeping an eye on the aggressors entering the kingdom, it is not a very large fort but has a lot of watch towers for a view in different directions.
PS: It has quite a few flight of stairs which might make it a little difficult to access for the aged or people with arthritis etc.

The fort, as built and existing, is an eight-pointed star. Pathway which is leading to entrance steps is under construction when we visited
There are nearly 150-200 steps to climb, it has amazing views from top, it’s crowded on the weekends. View from the top is beautiful, lush green mountains all around.

One of the famous tourist place to visit once if you are planning to Sakleshpur side. It is Nice fort with good landscape view but unfortunately not properly maintained and lot of littering around the place. One needs to initially walk for 500 meters and then climb steps of around 250-300 steps to reach the fort. There is limited parking space on the road and few stalls/shops for quick snacks or juices. Overall Ok to visit once if you haven't seen it yet.

Awesome place where we can see the best architecture of a mankind with a limited source. Shape of the fort is perfect star shapes without any errors, we need to be fit to reach the fort because we need to climb more than 400 steps and 1km in height. Main gate of the fort open at 8:00 am, parking facility is too bad, we need to reach location early otherwise we unable to get the nearby parking. Eatables and plastic bags are not allowed. If you visit, be aware that there are approximately 250 steps to climb. No detour is required because it is right on the major highway. The fort is truly beautiful, evoking a bygone period.
It is disappointing to see that the government is not investing in turning this into a tourist destination by adding information via boards or audio/visuals. They could make some money off of this, but at least they would be educating visitors about the area's illustrious past.

Fort is good. Be ready to climb some 300 odd stairs to reach the fort. Climbing is very steep. No entrance charges. It closes sharp at 5pm and security will force you out by 5:30. Views from the fort is good but not maintained properly by the authorities At least the grass and wild weeds should be cut. Apart from that the fort is very beautiful and yes it definitely holds some past with it.

Visiting Manjarabad Fort was truly enchanting! Nestled amidst the lush Western Ghats, this historical gem captured my heart. The journey to the fort was an adventure, with winding roads revealing the breathtaking natural beauty around every turn. Its distinctive star-shaped architecture added a sense of grandeur to its historical importance. However, I couldn't locate any restroom facilities, and parking was a bit challenging as we had to park on the roadside along the busy Sakleshpura highway.

Nice fort with a scenic view, unfortunately tourists have ruined the place, it's not maintained properly...
Around 250 to 200 steps to climb, steps are manageable with kids ( number sounds big but we didn't face any trouble from kids while climbing).
Roadside parking facility and few ahops/hotels for quick snacks.

The fort doesn't require a ticket or parking charges. There is a long walk of around 30 mins to reach and includes around 100 stairs.
Quite a large area to roam around, if the weather is clear you can even see the Arabian Sea with a good lens.
You can carry your pets along, but definitely keep them on leash.
There are quite a few eateries near the fort entrance, but beware of monkeys.

If you're interested in architecture and into historical monuments then it's must visit place.. the sculptures are very detailed and you can't resist to appreciate the work done by the sculptures. There is a Shiva lingam inside the temple and it's still active.. there is no entry fee, and the place is well maintained with huge trees and lawn. You can spend atleast one hour looking at the temple or you can hire a guide and know about the history of the place in detail. You need to remove your footwear while entering the temple premises and there is a footwear stand and they collect rs.5 per pair. Try to visit in early morning or evening otherwise it'll be hot in the noon and can't walk with bear foot. There is a small museum inside. Parking is free and there are some food stalls at the entrance, you can have fresh juices and fruits. Overall it's a great experience.

The Hoysaleswara Temple in Halebidu, Karnataka, India, is a mesmerizing masterpiece of ancient Indian architecture. Constructed during the 12th century under the Hoysala Empire, this temple is a testament to the architectural brilliance of that era.
The Hoysaleswara Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu and stands as an outstanding example of Hoysala architecture, characterized by its intricate stone carvings. The temple complex comprises two shrines, one for each deity, and is surrounded by a large courtyard.
The exterior of the temple is adorned with an astounding array of finely detailed sculptures. These intricate carvings depict scenes from Hindu mythology, stories from the Ramayana and Mahabharata, divine beings, animals, and intricate floral motifs. The level of detail is breathtaking, showcasing the exceptional craftsmanship and artistry of the Hoysala artisans.
One of the remarkable features of this temple is the lathe-turned, star-shaped pillars. These pillars are known for their precision and elegance, with each one boasting unique carvings that are remarkably well-preserved despite the passage of centuries.
The temple's architecture follows a trikuta (triple shrine) plan with intricately carved shikharas (spires) on top of each shrine. The intricate design and careful symmetry of the temple are awe-inspiring.
Intricacy and artistry are not limited to the exterior; the interior of the temple is equally impressive. The hall leading to the sanctum sanctorum is adorned with ornate pillars and finely carved ceilings, creating an otherworldly ambiance.

As a UNESCO World Heritage Site the the temple is well deserving. It was amazing to witness the creation and its sculptures so closely. Breathtaking experience and worth visiting if you have a couple of hours to spare. Although, it is suggested that the heritage site should be preserved and cared for as well as one would expect it to be, which is currently lacking.
The Lepakshi Nandi temple features a striking granite sculpture of Nandi, the sacred bull of Lord Shiva. It's located two hours from Bangalore and is best visited during the day due to safety concerns at night. The road leading to the temple is well-maintained and free of potholes. Visitors can explore the open park-like setting beyond 6pm but should refrain from climbing on the statue.
Simply awesome...one of the largest monolithic , single stone Nandi in india....this is about 400m from the Lepakshi veerabhadra temple ...it supposedly looks straight at the 7 hooded serpent in the temple who guards the shiv ling...a must visit place just for the magnanimity of the architecture

This is a good place to visit, especially for those from Bangalore since it is hardly 2 hour journey (including traffic/rainy weather). Best way to plan is for a morning to afternoon visit and return before it gets dark. The route is not safe during nights especially when we want to drive a car at high speeds. The roads are well maintained though and we saw almost no potholes along the lepakshi road from the big arc. This bull statue is open beyond 6pm as it is an open place. It feels more like a park and many people were trying to climb it.

The temple is very beautiful. The temple is around 500 years old and is a pure ancient architectural beauty. The place is just 2 hours drive away from Bangalore. We can very well make a one day plan to this place and return by afternoon if we start by morning 8. There is a garuda statue at the entrance. But were not allowed nearby for reasons unknown even after paying them to see the place. The parking and restrooms are pricey. 10 Rs. Just to enter the toilet irrespective of what you do inside. There is enough parking space. Would have been better if the management improve the temple instead of being money minded.

This is well worth a trip. The temple itself is beautiful and well cared for, but there are also plenty of souvenir stalls outside. Don’t miss the biggest Nandi (bull) on the way in and the new bird perched on the hilltop. One of the biggest nadi statute and this one is quite different one, as we can see face is slightly upwards due to a sense of Maga Shiva linga in front of it.
This is located right next to main road which is goes towards lepakshi town/village and around 300-400 away from the main temple.
Basic amenities are present inside premises like drinking water , restrooms and small green garden and amole seating benches.

At a distance of 500 m from Lepakshi Bus Stand and 500 m from Sri Veerabhadra Temple (Lepakshi Temple), Lepakshi Nandi (Bull) is one of the main attractions in Lepakshi and a well-known landmark for the tourism of Lepakshi. It was built during Vijayanagara period when the main Veerabhadra Temple was built.
The Lepakshi Nandi is made out of single granite. The monolithic Nandi sculpture is said to be the second largest monolithic structure in India after Gomateshwara in Shravanabelagola. It is 20 feet in height and 30 feet in length. The Nandi statue is decorated with a necklace, muvvalahara, a bell chain with small horns.
It is noticeable that the head of the bull is held aloft at a higher angle than usual. In addition, the expression of submission, which is typical of Nandi before Shiva, is not seen in the statue here.
This big granite bull is situated on the main road beside AP Tourism Haritha resort. It has been positioned such that it faces the 18 ft Nagalinga in Veerabhadra Temple Complex.

This old temple is inside a village and a divine representation of Indian culture, religious values and mythological history. A beautiful place to spend a couple of hrs. The stone carved structures and pillars are admirable. The only point of resentment is the paintings on ceilings are being worn out by time which should be preserved and restored. The govt should maintain the temple and cleanliness. It's not that we get to see such valuable pieces of our history often.

What a surreal and do one experience visiting this iconic temple dedicated to Lord Shiva.
I visited Hampi for 2 nights during my recent solo motorcycle ride to Karnataka and this was one of the most unforgettable highlights of the ride.
I visited this temple very early morning at 6 am while it was still dark and the temple looked absolutely gorgeous shining and shimmering.
I had an absolutely fantastic Darshan of the Garbha Griha and was also fortunate to watch the Mandir Elephant going back to her shed.
I spent almost an hour inside the temple admiring the beautiful architecture of this temple.
Words aren't enough to describe my experience I had here but I still tried.

Dedicated to Lord Shiva and his consort Pampadevi, this is the only temple here that is still used for worship. Parts of the temple pre-date the Vijayanagara empire. The temple, with its nine storied gopuram, towers above the other structures at Hampi. The ceiling of the Ranga Mantapa is beautifully painted with scenes from the epics and Puranas.
The Vitthala Temple, a remnant of the Vijayanagar Empire, is famous for its innovative architecture featuring unique elements like a mobile stone chariot and musical columns. Visitors from around the world are still drawn to this stunning location, which can be reached by electric cart from the main road at a cost of Rs 20 per person. The temple area requires an entry ticket priced at Rs 40 per person, which grants access to other historical sites in Hampi.

Entrance ticket is 40rs which can be used for lotus mahal as well. We have purchased our ticked at lotus mahal which have been used for entrance here.
Main attraction was the stone chariot & musical pillars.
The ruins are beautiful architectures , few spots definitely needs restoration in order to save our ancient history.
The musical pillars are currently in renovation which is why entry is not permitted inside but can be seen from out.
Guides are available on site who can guide you with the history.
Definitely a place to visit.

Stone chariot and musical pillars(not allowed to enter the place) are here in ruined condition (off-course whole hampi monuments are in ruined condition), old aged tree.
Better to take long buggy car from entrance to temple place if it’s hot not suggestive to walk.
It was Sunny and Windy day and rested here at one of the mandapam near stone chariot.
Due to G20 summit venue there were lots of repair works inside and outside under progress ultimately benefiting visitors for easy moving.

A must visit ancient historical site in Hampi. Take a guide to know the details of the place. Facilities are good. One can walk or take shuttle service ( chargeable 20/-)up to the entrance of the temple. The entrance fee is 40/-, the same ticket can be used to visit Lotus Mahal& museum.

Representing the essence of India's tourism, this place stands as one of the finest. Its beauty captivated us. The entrance fee was a mere 35, applicable to various locations, and there were no additional charges for photography.
For a nominal fee of Rs 20, a battery-operated car efficiently transported us from the parking area to the main entrance. Notably, the legendary story of Ramayana unfolds on the walls of this monument, adding a rich cultural dimension.
For those with children, hiring a guide at Rs 2500 for the day is advisable. The guide provides detailed insights, allowing kids to enjoy the stories associated with the monument.
The iconic Stone Chariot, featured on the Rs 50 note, is a central highlight that shouldn't be missed.

We ought to express our gratitude to the brilliant architects and civil engineers of ancient times. This place is a UNESCO-designated masterpiece of destructive beauty. The intricately carved stone sculptures showcase astonishingly minute details, offering a visual feast to all who behold them. The technological marvels, such as the musical pillars and the ingenious provision of natural light, left me utterly clueless about the ideologies behind their creation.
The beautifully carved chariot, adorned with meticulous detailing, has the power to truly captivate the mind and leave it in awe.

Beautiful
We can buy tickets once we reach there. It's easy to scan and buy tickets. Tickets are valid for one day
From parking there is around 1 km to the temple. Golf cart is available to travel to and fro. 20 rs for both side for one person. We might have to wait as there is long queue. One vehicle fits in 9 passengers there are more than 5 vehicles though. We can see the temple explore the place and come back to the parking area
Please carry hat/cap/umbrella and water bottle along

This beautiful place is the ruins of vijayanagar empire which still attracts tourists from across the globe. The place is at a distance of 1km from the main road from where one can take electric cart at Rs 20 pp. The entry ticket into the temple area is Rs 40 pp which can be used to visit other historical places at hampi. One can witness an amazing sunset at the back of the temple. Entry to the musical pillars area is currently restricted. It is better to carry cash as the network coverage is very poor.

One of the finest works of the Vijayanagar architecture. Sad the temple is almost in ruins and that one is not allowed to visit the main temple but the complex. But one can enjoy the carvings from the outside. The stone chariot is the star attraction.

One of the best place to represent the India Tourism. Such a beautiful place and luckily we visited on Monday and it was not crowded at all. We have ample time to spend at every nook on corner of this beautiful monument . We got the ticket for just Rs 30 which can be used at number of places. There is no photography charges. The battery operated car will ferry you from parking to main entrance at a minimal cost of rs 20. The legendary story of Ramayana was depicted in the wall of this monument. A guide for full day will be available at Rs 2500 and it is good to have guide if accompanied by children . Guide will provide the details and kids will enjoy the story.
The stone Chariot in the center which is featured in Rs 50 note can be witnessed

We visited the temple on a public holiday and emhence it was super crowded.
There is INR20 cab ride from start point to main temple area. If the weather is good and you can walk, I would advise to do so. Because there are a lot of small ruins in between which you would miss when travelling through buggy. It is sad the buggy do not stop in between to show other amazing stops. It is absolutely worth visiting this place to witness the past.

Beautiful monument and temple. Booking tickets online will save you money and time. Try to make it to the temple early in the morning especially during summer months, not a lot of shade and it gets very hot from noon till 5 pm. There is a 1 km walk from parking, or a shuttle. The shuttle is not sufficient for the crowd, so might end up waiting up to an hour depending on the crowd, one shuttle transports 9 people and they have 3 shuttles running. If you decide to walk, there’s no wait, but not a lot of shade on the path. Would recommend hiring a guide if you are interested in learning the stories carved on the walls and pillars.

So much touched by the ruins of the ancient iconic temple that has amazing stone structures such as the incomparable stone chariot and the fascinating musical pillars. The temple exemplifies the immense creativity and architectural excellence possessed by the sculptors and artisans of the Vijayanagara times.

Famous tourist spot. We visited on 15 January & it was very crowded due to the festival and Sunday.
Parking was 500 meters away from the main entrance, so we had to take an auto from there. After reaching the main entrance, we took a battery operated vehicle to reach the main temple area. Charges were Rs.10 per person. Ticket for the main temple area was Rs.40 per person. A very big area with many temples/ruins. Many guides are available. The famous chariot from the Rs.50 note was the main attraction. In return, again the battery operated vehicle took us back to the main entrance.

Wonderful place....the chariot inside is what u find on the backside of a Rupees 50 note...nice carvings , beautiful architecture...awed at the way such things were done without any modern knowledge and resources expertise..
U have to walk for a km from the parking till the temple or stand in a queue and climb on the battery operated vehicle...ticket fare is 40 per adult...

🎶 Vijaya Vittala Temple - Where Stones Sing Melodies! 🏛️
A mesmerizing journey from Delhi brought me to this enchanting marvel. The temple, a symphony of culture and architecture, truly left me spellbound. And oh, the pillars! Tapping them produced magical musical notes that echoed through history. Don't miss the chance to witness this unique spectacle - grab your ticket and immerse yourself in the grandeur of bygone eras. A must-visit to rediscover the splendor of our incredible history! 🎵🏰

This is one of the temple complexes in Hampi. You can witness the stone chariot and music pillars though you cannot touch the music pillars. You have to walk nearly 1km to reach the complex from the parking area, it is better to use the electric caddy service provided as it will be sunny and hot.

Great Place, amazing architecture, constructed by stone about a 700 years ago. The Stone Chariot is a must see in real. Amazing place to visit for history buffs. I wish the temple was maintained well, no restrooms and the transport is tough but if you get there you will be rewarded highly.

Amazing experience to visit this temple and great experience for the kids as well. There is so much to know and learn about our rich cultural heritage that’s completely missing from the tex books and can’t be covered in school curriculum. Travel to these marvels and architectural masterpieces is the only way to enrich oneself with the vast knowledge and understand the history. Must visit place in Humpi.

The only word that comes to my mind after seeing this structure is Brilliance! What a beautiful piece of artwork- every inch of the masterpiece is so amazingly built that words are not enough to describe it. The setting is superb! The carvings on the pillars are fabulous. Hats of to the artisans who created such a beautiful temple!

Must visit place in Hampi
Ample parking space available
From the parking there is a long walk(around 750 meters) to the actual temple. Its worth the walk if you do not want to miss the old market place ruins and beautiful pond on the way. Battery operated vehicles are also available if there are kids and elders.(Rs 20 per head)There will be some queue , but it moves fast. Once you reach the actual temple a nominal fee of Rs 40 is charged per head.
It is worth taking a guide if you are really interested about the glorious history of the place. You find certified guides around the temple. They charge around 500rs to show the temple around. But knowing the history really adds value to our visit, which otherwise would end up just as a selfie destination.
Saraskanth T.K. — Google review
The majestic temple is an absolute man made marvel. Even in the scorching heat in peak summer, you would still end un enjoying visiting the place. The guides here charge a mere 300 INR but again their commitment to helping you understand the beautiful history of the place is average (value for money).
Ideally you should visit this place either early in the morning or late in the evening to beat the heart and do have a guide to tag along. Don’t walk to the temple, take a e-rickshaw and while returning you can walk if you want.
Chinmoy Mishra — Google review
One of the most popular place in Hampi. The stone chariot printed in the 50rs note is located here. If you are coming by own vehicle you can drive upto the parking and from there we get the buggy vehicle for the 1km distance to the temple or else can walk. If you are visiting Hampi by public transport then the best way to reach here is to walk from Hampi bazaar area which will be a distance of 2.5km. This walk through the beautiful historical remains of Hampi including Achyutaraaya temple & Kings balance is a great experience. The distance to here from Virupaksha temple by road is 8km and autos may charge 300-400rs. You will get autos nearby the parking area. Couldn't find any buses to here.
The place is very beautiful and well maintained. Ticket rate was 40rs and we can use the same ticket for other monuments in Hampi.

Hampi is a place which has a lot of monuments spread across an area of more than few square kilometres.
You will always find a board in all the monuments which states where you are along with a list of more than 60 places to see or visit.
Refer to the pics posted in this review and you can see a lot of the items.
You need to understand that touring hampi is not a days job. It will take 3 days to see all the spectacular sites. It hurts to see so much destruction done by humans in the past. Imagine these over 650 yrs old and still standing. The natural damage is way less than damages done by humans.
Every where you go there will be a cluster of things to see and you can see them one by one.
All maybe listed as different places in maps but you have to understand that they are different architectural marvels but located within the vicinity of a major grand structure.
It’s always good to explore self rather than blindly believing the reviews posted by amateur like us.
Visit HAMPI once in your lifetime for sure.

A group of stone temples with amazing architecture and carvings. Scenes of Ramayana was found carved on one of the temples. A rock with ancient Kannada inscriptions is also here. It was sad to see some idols destroyed by the invaders. Road connectivity is good. A dream place for history

Amazingly designed stone temple complex and it is sad to see some of the idols destroyed by the invaders. If you want to comprehend temple history and decipher the artwork and text, a tour guide is a must. Entry tickets must be bought at the counter. There aren't many upscale restaurants here, but there are many local eateries outside the temple complex. The parking and road connectivity are both good, and the restrooms are kept up properly.
Aishwarya Rangesh — Google review
Pattadakallu is a fine example of mixture of North and South architecture in one place.Several marvelous temples have been made here where worship was done in olden days of Chalukya dynasty.Entry fees is only forty rupees per head.

Beautiful and well maintained UNESCO world heritage site. Sprawling and curated lawns enhance and add to the beauty and grandeur of the site. Although Nagara style architecture captures one' s attention other temples in the complex are gems in their own realm. Wide pathways and alleyways along with proper description on pedestals of each of the temples in the complex add to interactive involvement. Ample security is provided so as to prevent damage to the pristine structures and artefacts. Well maintained toilets at the ticketing counter with running water and ample car parking space sure provides comfort. Tickets can be purchased at the counter or by scanning the QR code displayed there. The museum is not too far from the temple complex and is worth the visit.

Beautiful world heritage site. Let's all make an effort to preserve our rich heritage by not polluting or defacing such priceless monuments. Amenities like toilets, parking ticketing counters are all well managed. There is a functional temple opposite which is a beautifully carved Nandi. Lawns are well maintained as well as the walkways. Rest assured it's worth your time.

Well maintained temple ruins. There is a working temple at the emd of the campus. Walking through these ruins tells a beautiful story of the architecture of the old kingdom. Barring the noise of people visiting the shrine, it was magical to walk into the temple with puja being conducted.

A dream-come-true experience I can say. For the past 20 years I have been thinking of visiting this architectural marvel of India but for one reason or another I could not be able to make it. But better late than never. Once I got the chance i just gone there since I was so eagerly waiting for such moment. Some 21 kms from Badami, a small city in North Karnataka, and some 126 km from Hubli, Pattadakal is truly a legend in itself, and that's why I guess UNESCO has tagged it as World Heritage site. Going there is quite easy as there are buses plying from Badami to Pattadakal quite frequently, which takes an hour or less only. Bus will charge you 30 Rs from Badami to Pattadakal. There is a direct train from Bangalore to Badami takes some 12 hours. Entry fee to the site is INR 40 for Indians and INR 600 for foreigners. The fee for everything is clearly displayed at the ticket counter. Temple campus is very massive and the entire premises is well-maintained. The temples architecture is just amazing. Dedicated to different forms of Lord Shiva, all the temples are having Shivalinga installed inside the chamber. Beautifully carved-images on the pillars are really something that will hold your attention for long time. You need to spend time for long there to feel the magic. You will get immersed in the artistic marvel created 1000s of years ago by the great king Chol named Vikramaditya. For those who are creative writers or artists, it's really a great place to be. Don't read much but find opportunity to visit there. Summer is very harsh there so winter would be very ideal.

Excellent place. Guide is must otherwise will be very hard to know the historical importance of this place. Parking is available but need to do more work on it. Snacks items are available but are limited in numbers. Very less choice you will have. Road is also in very good condition. One will love the driving on these roads. As per me best time to visit is monsoon end or winter season. Handicapped persons will find difficulties on visiting here. Overall a Good place to visit near Badami.

One of the best historic monuments dating back to the Chakulya era of the 6th century. Mostly very size sized stones used to setup the various small temples within the complex. Very intricate work and the shades of colors you see when sun light falls on the structure is a treat to the eyes.

There are different gopura styles in different temples. Ramayana, Mahabharata and various other splendid story carvings are found on the pillars and throughout the area. There is also Jain architecture here.
There is an entry fee to the temple complex. The place is maintained well and clean.

Pattadakal: A UNESCO World Heritage Site nestled in the heart of Karnataka, India. When you step into this small town, you'll will be transported back in time to the 7th and 8th centuries when this place flourished as the capital of the Chalukya dynasty.
It showcases a stunning collection of temples from the 7th and 8th centuries, reflecting a fusion of North Indian Nagara and South Indian Dravidian architectural styles.
Virupaksha Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, stands out with its intricate carvings and sculptures. Each temple tells a story of devotion and artistic mastery. Other gems like the Kadsiddheshwar Temple, Mallikarjuna Temple and the Papanatha Temple are equally mesmerizing. The place is very well maintained by ASI and very clean. There us a certain calmness when visiting the temples.
The crowd is not allowed sit on lawn by security but it will be very comforting to visitors.
The only thing that was very annoying that there students doing drawing all over place and they left very little access to places ignoring everyone. They should be allowed but there must be rules for them so that they allow general tourist to enjoy the place as well.

One of the ancient historic site in Karnataka displaying the temple architecture built sometime during 8th century. The kings of those period and those sculptures deserve a special place in our history for leaving this behind for our generation to witness their work. Ganpati Temple Must See
I heard about this temple from some of my local friends, so I was curious about this temple.
On one of my weekend, on the way to ma na pa to swargate we saw a side road towards temple, so we decided to visit the temple, on the spot.
The temple is very nice. There are two temples one is Lord Ganesha, with another is of Lord Shiva, looks one of the oldest temple.
Both the temples are well maintained, but the complex from outside is not maintained. The river just beside the temple is very clean shops of modak are there.
And they provide free storage space for your luggage there and shoe storage space is also provided by the temple.
The area in front of the temple is on the main road so it is rarely crowded but always crowded on weekends.

The temple is a beautiful construction and boasts a rich history of over 100 years. Jay and Vijay, the two sentinels made of marble catch the eye of all at the outset. The construction is so simple that all the proceedings in the temple along with the beautiful Ganesh idol can be seen even from outside. The Ganesh idol is 2.2 metres tall and 1 metrewide. It is adorned with nearly 40 kilos of gold. The devotees of Ganesh offer Him gold and money and with every offering the Lord gets richer and richer. Moreover, heaps of coconuts offered to the deity are yet another feature of the temple. Daily pooja, abhisheka and the arti of Ganesh are worth attending. The lighting of the temple during the Ganesh festival is marvelous. Shrimant Dagdusheth Ganpati Trust looks into the maintenance of the temple. The temple is situated in the centre of city, local shopping market is also the nearby temple. Various cultural activities like music concerts, bhajans, and Atharvasheersh recitation are organized by the trust.[8]
Shri Datta Mandir placed in Budhwar Peth, Pune was their residential Building. Dagduseth's grandson govindseth was also famous for his kindness and generosity. In Pune, govind halwai chowk is famous by his name.
He later established the Halwai Ganapati Trust.[1][3] Bal Gangadhar Tilak, during the British Raj, gave a public form to the Ganesh festival celebrations as a way of getting around an order that barred public meetings.[

The Ajanta Caves, dating back to the 2nd and 1st centuries BC, are adorned with intricate designs and religious artwork. These caves are situated along a steep gorge that borders the Waghore River. Among the various caves, five serve as prayer halls while others act as dwellings. While early Buddhist caves represent Buddha through symbols such as footprints and wheels of law, those from around the 5th century AD follow Mahayana practices.
This is one of great tourist site in India. Caves, painting and carvings are simply beautiful. You will feel proud about our ancestors and the marvelous art they have left behind in our reach heritage. One must spend enough time in each of 30 caves to understand beauty of the place. In rainy season this might be on top of natural Beauty. Planning to visit in next August or September.

Cave 2, adjacent to Cave 1, is known for the paintings that have been preserved on its walls, ceilings, and pillars. It looks similar to Cave 1 and is in a better state of preservation. This cave is best known for its feminine focus, intricate rock carvings and paint artwork yet it is incomplete and lacks consistency. One of the 5th-century frescos in this cave also shows children at a school, with those in the front rows paying attention to the teacher, while those in the back row are shown distracted and acting.
Cave 2 (35.7 m × 21.6 m) was started in the 460s, but mostly carved between 475 and 477 CE, probably sponsored and influenced by a woman closely related to emperor Harisena. It has a porch quite different from Cave 1. Even the façade carvings seem to be different. The cave is supported by robust pillars, ornamented with designs. The front porch consists of cells supported by pillared vestibules on both ends.
The hall has four colonnades which are supporting the ceiling and surrounding a square in the center of the hall. Each arm or colonnade of the square is parallel to the respective walls of the hall, making an aisle in between. The colonnades have rock-beams above and below them. The capitals are carved and painted with various decorative themes that include ornamental, human, animal, vegetative, and semi-divine motifs. Major carvings include that of goddess Hariti. She is a Buddhist deity who originally was the demoness of smallpox and a child eater, who the Buddha converted into a guardian goddess of fertility, easy child birth and one who protects babies.
The paintings on the ceilings and walls of Cave 2 have been widely published. They depict the Hamsa, Vidhurapandita, Ruru, Kshanti Jataka tales and the Purna Avadhana. Other frescos show the miracle of Sravasti, Ashtabhaya Avalokitesvara and the dream of Maya. Just as the stories illustrated in cave 1 emphasise kingship, those in cave 2 show many noble and powerful women in prominent roles, leading to suggestions that the patron was an unknown woman. The porch's rear wall has a doorway in the center, which allows entrance to the hall. On either side of the door is a square-shaped window to brighten the interior.

Ajanta Caves are a set of 30 Buddhist caves, some of them dating a few centuries BC, and the site is an awesome historical place to visit; and if you are not tired after going up and down stairs by the time you visit most of the caves, you can still hike up more stairs on the other side of the river to have a panoramic view of them, and also of the river and waterfall, that are active during the wet season. I got there at opening time (9AM) and didn’t have to wait, except for the shuttle bus taking you 5km to the restaurant and caves.

Ajanta Caves is located about 100 km away from Aurangabad. The road is good and you reach the parking where you have to pay Rs 50/- as parking charge and Rs 15/- per head as amenities charge.
From the parking, a bus takes you to the caves where you are charged per head Rs 30/- for A/c and Rs 25/- for regular.
The ticket window to the caves charges Rs 40/- per head and camera is free. Here, you are checked and then can proceed to the caves. There is a cafeteria and also clean restrooms.
There are steps and a ramp to the caves and even a chair lift available(charged extra) for those who can not climb.
The caves are very well maintained by the Archaeological Survey of India and mostly are temperature controlled. It is advisable to wear easy to remove footwear as nearly in all caves foot wear has to be removed. The paintings are preserved and advisable to have a book explaining which cave has what.
Guide railings are there, and attendants are there for each cave.
The road back is also easy and worth the visit.

Sunrise - sunset. The 110-m-long and 15-m-broad double-storeyed building is located on a narrow strip of land between the Munj Talao and Kapur Talao, giving the appearance of a ship in water. probably built by Sultan Ghiyathuddin Khalji in the later part of the 15th century. It served as a large harem for the sultan and accommodated a staggering 15,000 women. Later it also served as the residence of Noor Jahan, the favourite queen of Mughal Emperor Jahangir. The southern end of the double - storied building has a stairs leading directly to the terrace. The northern end of the terrace contains a swimming pool of floral design there is a similar pool just below it on the first floor. The terrace has two domed pavilion on the southern and northern end of the long Jahaz Mahal. The northern pavilion is not at the very end of the terrace but just south of the swimming pool.

The Shree Kaal Bhairav Mandir in Ujjain is a Hindu temple dedicated to the city's guardian deity. One unique feature is the offering of liquor to the god, as it is believed that this will help fade away life's issues. Visitors can pray and then drink or give the liquor as a gift.
Amazing place to go. Unique temple . So much happiness .. you got to get liquor for the god and pray. Post which you get to drink it or can give it to someone there . Since Kala Bhairava likes Liquor , we got to get one for him. It denotes that liquor will help us to fade away the issues we have in life.

I am from Chennai and used to temples of different kind and different practices. But I loved this place. This temple has very intense vibes and even amidst crowd I felt calm inside and out. In google it says 24 hours open but not so, they close at 10 pm. 9 pm is aarti time. It is crowded all through the year I heard. Shree Kaal Bhairav here is the protecting deity for Ujjain and Mahakaleshwar. Alcohol is one of the offerings here. It is sold outside the temple. There are many shops around the temple. Plenty of car parking. Few hours of waiting in the queue and chanting His name while standing in the line is not an issue for you, you will love the place and be charged up for sure.

The Kaal Bhairav Temple is a sacred Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Bhairava, a fierce manifestation of Lord Shiva. It is located in the city of Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, India. The temple is renowned for its association with the deity Kaal Bhairav, who is worshipped as the guardian of time.
Devotees believe that offering prayers at the Kaal Bhairav Temple can help mitigate the effects of unfavorable planetary influences and bring blessings for prosperity and protection. The temple is especially crowded on Sundays and during the festival of Kaal Bhairav Ashtami, which falls on the eighth day of the Krishna Paksha (waning phase of the moon) in the Hindu month of Margashirsha (November-December).
One notable feature of the temple is the practice of offering alcohol to Lord Bhairava as a part of worship, which is unique among Hindu temples. The belief is that offering liquor symbolizes the offering of one's ego and desires to the deity, seeking his protection and guidance.
Overall, the Kaal Bhairav Temple in Ujjain is a significant pilgrimage site for devotees of Lord Bhairava and those seeking blessings for protection and prosperity.

One of the most sacred and worshipped temple in Ujjain after Mahakal Mandir. First people seek blessings from Mahakal Mandir and then visit here. Near to these temple it also has Bhairav Ghat where you can have Holy Bath and Boat Riding, you can also see some of the most scenic sunset here it depends on climatic conditions. Management is perfect here for visiting people whether it is crowded or not. Soul and Heart becomes more Divine & Peaceful after worshipping to God here such a holy place it is. When I visited these holy place some people told me earlier to take alcohol as a offering to God and what I see is their are wine shops from which people are purchasing as per belief, but reality was different management staff restricted people from offering alcohol to God "Shree Kaal Bhairavji" don't know the exact reason but still people were offering alcohol at the backside of temple which was terrible as it made floor slippery, surrounding dirty, muddy and stinky. No problem for food near by, you can have fast food or snacks like pani puri, corn chaat etc, & must try here is khicha or papad which is fried and served with mirch masala. For children's their is also a enjoyable camel ride here when these holy place is much crowded. E-Rickshaw & Auto are the most convenient means of transport here. Main Road linked to these place is Ring Road.

Shri Kaal Bhairav Mandir is believed to be built by king Bhadrasen dated back in 9th century. The present day temple was made by Maratha King Mahadaji Shinde after fulfilment of his desire to re establish the Maratha Kingdom after defeat in third battle of Panipat. He had offered his turban to Lord Kaal Bhairav and established this temple once reestablishes the Maratha rule. The temple has reflection of Maratha period. The deepmala are placed in the temple. Very spiritual place. There were a lot of crowd when I visited during the week days. I started to stand in queue around 12:30 and we ended around 2:30. It's a tradition to offer liquor to Kala Bhairava. Nowadays it's not allowed, but some devotees do offer it. The devotees hand over the liquor bottles to the priest, who pours the liquor in a saucer. He then offers prayers and takes the saucer near the deity's lips, which have a slit. He tilts the plate a bit, and the liquor starts disappearing.

This temple has more crowd than the Mahakal temple. The reason might be lack of management. It takes more than 2 hours to stand in the line & visit the main deity. The road that leads to the temple is also dirty. And one thing you must keep in mind that, here liquor is offered to God as Prasad. So if you can consume the Prasad then only offer it to God or else don't offer. This place needs more managing same like the Mahakaleshwar temple.

The present-day temple structure was built over the remains of an older temple. The original temple is believed to have been built by an obscure king named Bhadrasen. It has been mentioned in the Avanti Khanda of the Skanda Purana.Images of Shiva, Parvati, Vishnu and Ganesha belonging to the Paramara period (9th-13th century CE) have been recovered from the place. The temple walls were once decorated with Malwa paintings. However, only traces of these paintings are visible now.
The present-day temple structure shows Maratha influence. According to the local tradition, after the Maratha defeat in the Third Battle of Panipat (1761 CE), the Maratha general Mahadaji Shinde offered his pagri (turban) to the deity, praying for victory in his campaign to restore the Maratha rule in North India. After successfully resurrecting Maratha power, he carried out restoration of the temple.
A replica of the temple has been established on the Bhuj-Mundra road in Gujarat.

This temple is very famous for the visitors coming to Ujjain. But there is no management in this temple, there is neither provision of drinking water nor any kind of shade from the temple side. Devotees are forced to stand under the open sky. The management here should provide basic facilities to the visiting devotees so that they can plan to come again. Any devotee who comes here comes with the trust of God. There should be separate arrangements for darshan for the elderly and the disabled. I hope this comment of mine reaches the temple management and necessary action is taken.

You can see a wine shop near temple which is crowded by devotees.

Must visit if you are interested in wild life and want to explore Bhopal. Best time to visit is early morning. The park opens at 6:30 AM in the morning.

There is no word to describe a national park, I came here after like 12 years and it is been a amazing development since. Thanks to the authorities.
One mistake I made earlier is to try walking.
It is not that you can't walk that long. Its this beautiful animals come and go within short time so you better have bit more mobility to get glimpse of them.
Its better to rent a cycle which is best experience to ride this in this nice road or get pass for your vehicle
I think Best time is before evening 4 to 5pm. Usually during this time animals like tiger return from ally to their keepouts and you may better chance to have glimpse of these animals.
Although regardless of your sighting wild life, one trip near lake and greenery will be worthwhile.
Akhilesh Kumar Nair — Google review
This place is not managed well and there are very few animals which you can count on your figures. There are the places of some animals with their name but the animals are not there. The bicycles are also in the worst conditions and are not maintained. The only good thing is you can bring your vehicle by paying the amount while buying the tickets.
Overall this could be a good place if managed and maintained properly and keeping animals in good condition.

This place is so close to nature, polution free.
Must visit in the morning hours for better animal views from 9 am to 10 or 11 am.
You could get electric bikes and bicycles in here as the distance is long.
2 wheeler and 4 wheeler entry is available, and only 2 people on one motorcycle are allowed.
People do make passes over here for their daily morning walk, jogging, running, the reason for these activities are the environment and this place is so close to nature.

Best to explore by cycling, walking and running. And finally enjoy delicious food with a beautiful view in wild cafe restaurant.

Cycling near Lake was awesome during evening.
Sunrise and sunset is very beautiful near Lake area.
People can bring their childrens to see tigers, leopard lion, turtle ,deer, snakes, birds and crocodile.there is one stage also where lots of kids activities are done to encourage interest among them for forest and wildlife. Separate toilets are also available there .
Very well managed by forest staff ,they are genuinely working there day and night taking care of animals . people can take their own transport after paying on road near to lakes.

The Van Vihar park was a serene escape into nature's wonders. The grandeur of tigers, lions, and cheetahs was enthralling, each creature a masterpiece of the wild. The peaceful ambiance, surrounded by lush greenery, made every step a delightful exploration.
As we ventured into the snake department, the variety of serpents on display was fascinating. However, it was evident that there was a bit of a 'snake jumble' going on. The space seemed slightly overcrowded, creating a quirky yet amusing sight. It added a touch of unpredictability, making our visit even more memorable.
Beyond the snake antics, the park's commitment to wildlife care shone through. Educational snippets dotted our path, enlightening us about the importance of conservation. The spacious, well-designed enclosures showcased a dedication to providing a comfortable habitat for the residents.
Engaging with the knowledgeable staff heightened our experience. Their passion for wildlife and willingness to share insights enriched our visit. It felt more like a journey of discovery rather than a mere outing.

Good place for an evening outing with family. It houses miniature models of 7 wonders of the world: pyramid, Roman Colosseum, Eiffel Tower, Taj Mahal, Statue of Liberty, Christ the Redeemer, tower of Pisa. Kids can play in the park and see the wonders. You can click good pictures in the park. It’s well maintained and clean place. Some eateries are there in the park for refreshments and fast food. Vehicle parking is there at the entrance at very nominal price.
Just on the lakeside of Kishor Sagar lake in Kota, these seven wonders are miniaturised version of great structures and monuments in the world like Eiffel Tower, Leaning tower of Pisa, Pyramids, Taj Mahal etc. Beautifully built, they are a treat to the eyes and look majestic near the lake providing a beautiful vista. It looks much more beautiful in the evening when colourful lights are illuminated on the structures. This is a ticketed entry but very nominal. Do visit if you are in Kota. Fooding options are very limited, only one cafe but not very good. Otherwise a great place to spend time in the evening.

Seven Wonders in Kota is a decent place to visit, but it falls short in capturing the essence of an ancient environment. While efforts have been made to create a good experience, there's a noticeable lack of authenticity that leaves visitors wanting more.
The replicas of the seven wonders are well-made, showcasing impressive craftsmanship. However, the overall ambiance fails to transport visitors to the awe-inspiring settings of these ancient marvels. There's a missing element that prevents a truly immersive experience.
Despite this, Seven Wonders still offers some enjoyable moments, especially for those interested in architecture and historical monuments. It can be a fun outing for families and groups looking to appreciate iconic landmarks in a condensed format.

Garh Palace is a historical attraction comprising of a grand Rajput castle and several smaller palaces dating back to the 17th century. The castle boasts stunning wall murals, which are well-preserved by the management. Tourists can visit several palaces within the palace complex, including Chatra Mahal, Badal Mahal, Phool Mahal, Sinhasan and Ratan Daulat,Hathi Pol,and Chitrashaala.
Majestic fort complex made by hada rajput dynasty of Bundi. lot of storeys made one above the other along the hills. Architecture, strength and good cooling effects. Some storeys are still not opened. Govt should renovate this beautiful heritage site and increase the amenities especially accessibility

Entrance:
There is a steep walk to reach the main entrance. Its advisable to take water bottle from the ticketing window as you wont find anything to drink or eat once inside the fort.
View:
The top of the fort gives a panoramic view of the Bundi town.
Inside:
Its more of a fort than a palace. A small portion of this monument is preserved while the rest is mostly in ruins. When we visited, it was being renovated. There is one garden in the entrance which is well maintained.
Terrace:
Terrace is a must visit to soak in the sun in winters. Here is where you can see the entire town and a nearby lake.
Beware of monkeys and also honey bees as they build combs frequently.
Staff:
The staff is quite helpful and cautious and will help you with directions.
All in all - must visit if you are in Bundi.

As such Bundi is a small and dirty place but it has a gem in the form of Garh Palace. There is a entry ticket as almost all of it is still owned by Royals of Bundi. There is a small free parking near the entrance but you may find a irritating and rude woman claiming to be parking attendant. Beware of her, she is a fraud. There are strange rules as one can use mobile to take pictures and make videos but one cannot use selfie stick. Inside Garh Palace there are different palaces constructed by different kings. All worth visiting like Badal Mahal. King's throne made of marble is unique and amazing. There is also Chitralekha with beautiful garden, shivling and a gallery of Bundi's paintings. Chitralekha is maintained by Archeological Survey of India and paintings are stunningly beautiful. Also inside Garh Palace is the Bundi fort. The fort covers the whole of the hills which surround Bundi. Inside the fort one has to be very careful as wild monkeys are there and they do attack. Go in big groups and carry sturdy sticks. I loved Garh Palace, if you are unfortunate to be in Bundi due to some bad luck, you can still visit Garh Palace to redeem bad luck.

The fort boasts of remarkable architectural design and exquisite stone carvings that are intricately crafted. It is surrounded by lush greenery, which enhances its overall beauty and adds to the charm of this ancient structure. Taragarh Fort is a testament to India's rich cultural heritage and serves as a reminder of its glorious past.
About 20 minute hike through the slope and steps. Carry water bottle. Winter and post monsoon season is best. Amazing views from both side of hill. Old palace and water harvesting wells constructed. Good things:-
You get nice view of Bundi City, I believe in rainy season it must looks stunning.
Not good things:-
- Not maintained, smelly at major parts of the fort.
- Compared to other forts in Rajasthan, Taragrh has lost it's beauty.
- Lady managing the parking lot misbehave with tourists. The staff at the fort cares nothing about it.
- After a long steep trail leading towards Rani Mahal, you hope for a opulent Rani palace but you get is ruins and a dirty stepwell.

Located on the Nagpahadi hill, one of the tall mountains of the Aravalli range, Taragarh Fort is a magnificent fortress. It stands at an elevation of 1426 feet atop the mountain peak, serving as an excellent example of a hill fort. Also known as the "Fort of Bundi," it was constructed by Rao Deva Hada, the founder of Bundi, in the 14th century (1354). Three grand gates were built to enter this fortress situated on the steep slope of the Aravalli mountains. The construction of this fort was carried out by Rao Bar Singh Hada, and its gates are known as Lakshmi Pol, Hathi Pol, and Bhoota Darwaza, along with Gaugarh Gate. The Hathi Pol gate is adorned with colossal elephant statues. The palaces within the fort are unique due to their architectural finesse and fresco paintings. Among these palaces, Chattar Mahal, Aniruddha Mahal, Ratan Mahal, Badal Mahal, and Phool Mahal are prominent.

Taragarh palace is a heart of bundi. You can visit here anytime. Personally i don't like it as precious things inside it can't be protected and renew time to time. Ticket Price is not value for money.

It's an amazing historical fort from where you can get a good view of the city, however it is ill maintained. The city of Bundi has a lot potential to develop as a tourist destination but the government is not interested to bring Bundi on the tourist map of India.
Historically
It is a massive fort in Bundi and built at a height of 500 meters on a hill by Rao Singh Bar in the 13th century under the reign of King Ajaypal Chauhan. Built in 1354 AD, although the fort is now in a ramshackle state, the Taragarh Fort still remains one of the most impressive forts in Rajasthan. It is built on a steep hill and now is overgrown by vegetation.
Unlike most forts in Rajasthan which are made of Sandstone the Taragarh Fort is made of serpentine stone which is green in colour. It remains one of the few forts in Rajasthan which does not show influences of Mughal style of art and architecture.

Bundi is a must visit off-beat destination in Rajasthan. Taragarh fort is a perfect example of Rajasthani culture, art and heritage. The Intricate carvings and Paintings will take you back in time and will feel you mesmerized.
The Fort is quite well maintained and is not crowded as other forts/palaces, which makes it a perfect place for sustainable travelling.

TARAGARH FORT is situated in bundi. There is 2 portions in fort . First is palace and 2nd is behind the fort .. temple and other buildings . Whenever u r going to roam , u should bring water bottle and something to eat cause there is no shop as nd canteen.Best place to explore step bells,Mahadev temple , Ghursal, sainik sthan . From the top of the fort u can watch the sunset view and Bundi too . Pahado ke beech me basa hua Bundi . ❤️

Really nice place to visit if you're fond of visiting the monuments.
This fort is made for exploring the ancient architect.
You have be ready for climbing up to the top as its way higher than you think but yes, view from top is literally mesmerizing.
Get handy water bottle(s) to stay hydrated.
Fort gets opened by 0800 IST.

Taragarh Fort or Star Fort is situated in the city of Ajmer in the state of Rajasthan, India. It is a massive fort in Bundi and built at a height of 500 meters on a hill by Rao Singh Bar in the 13th century under the reign of King Ajaypal Chauhan.
A place which gives a historic view of bundi city, i request to the government of rajasthan to support taragrh fort in increasing tourism towards it as it also has an historic moments of Rajasthan. A view of bundi is immense in the rainy season from top of the jharokha of taragrh fort.

The Ranthambore National Park, located in the Sawai Madhopur district, is a well-known destination for wildlife enthusiasts who want to observe tigers in their natural habitat. Once a royal game reserve of Maharaja, this scenic park also houses various ruins. The best time and areas to spot these majestic animals are Sector 4 & 5 during evening safari. The forest provides an excellent safari experience with knowledgeable guides and drivers who have expertise in locating tigers.
That's great to see the tiger in the sector 4 & 5 at the evening time. Nice forest to have safari with a great safari experience. Driver and guide both were too good with lot of experience about the tiger spotting.
and book the tickets directly from the govt site and 3rd party brokers charge around 1500 and you and directly book tickets from govt site at around 720 per person!! popular zones are 2,4 and 5.

Try going for a jeep safari as that is a much better experience. The drivers and guides are really good and try their best for a sighting. I was lucky to have sighted two tigers in one safari in Zone 5. I feel blessed. It's safe so don't worry about a thing. The national park is beautiful and peaceful. Try to absorb the nature while being there.

Ranthambore National Park is the most beautiful place in India to see flora and fauna at it's best. It is an awesome place to see tigers, wildlife and natural beauty. The early morning jungle safari gives a different kind of experience to tourists coming from different corners of the globe.

The tiger reserve in Ranthambore has over 80 tigers currently residing along with jackals , mongoose , crocodiles , bears , deer and hyenas. The place has lush greenery and a beautiful atmosphere. The place is serene and there is a 70% chance of spotting a tiger. Though it's recommended to visit any zone from 1 to 5 but preferably go to zone 2 as it has many watering holes thus there are higher chances of finding a tiger. We found six tigers on day 1 and three tigers in day 2 both in zone 2. The tigers are majestic creatures and the national animal of India. I advise you to please maintain the decorum in the reserve and don't scare the animals. You can go to the reserve via gypsy or canter. It is beneficial if you ride a canter. Rest assured you will love the experience. Enjoy the nature retreat.

Beautiful forest but we were unlucky to spot a tiger during our visit in zone 3 and 5. But one must be patient enough as we are not visiting zoo. Will definitely revisit during summers and wish to be lucky at that time.

One of the best places in the world to see the Tigers. Excellent protection of Tigers through the support of Government of Rajasthan/Rajasthan Forest Department. Visibility of Tigers is in all the Zones and best time to see them is during the summer time April-June around water points. The park is closed during monsoon times July-September.

Fantastic jungle experience . We stayed in a tent house which was very close to the ranthambore tiger resort . Hotel manager booked the tour for us . safari can be booked online by paying required fees which are inclusive of canter or jeep fee/guide fee . Jeep has six seats while canter has twenty seats . Safari services are available in only two shifts, the afternoon and the morning shifts. Each turn is three and a half hours long. reserve stays closed mainly because during the monsoons, no visitors are allowed. best months for the visitors are November-April.

I had an incredible experience on the Ranthambore Safari! The natural beauty and wildlife in Ranthambore National Park are truly breathtaking. Our safari guide was knowledgeable and passionate, enhancing our understanding of the park's diverse ecosystem. We were fortunate to spot a variety of wildlife, including tigers, leopards, and numerous bird species. The thrill of seeing these animals in their natural habitat is something I'll never forget. The park's conservation efforts are commendable, and I hope future generations can also enjoy the wonders of Ranthambore. Overall, it was an unforgettable adventure that I highly recommend to anyone with a love for nature and wildlife.

Please know before you go that there is no guarantee you will see tigers! They say that you should book multiple tours to increase your chances. With that said, I was lucky when I went that we saw two tigers during their mating session. Otherwise I probably would not have rated it 4 stars. Other than the two tigers, there really wasn’t too much other wildlife in the park. It was actually quite barren.

Viewing the dangerous wild tigers at a short distance in their natural wild environment during jungle safari is indeed an unforgettable wildlife experience of whole life! And Ranthambore National Park Tiger Safari in Rajasthan, INDIA makes this dream possible. We took the safari on Jan 3rd morning and experienced tiger encounter for almost an hour in Zone 3. The tiger followed one of our safari too. The experience was unforgettable and great family time spent together. We were 15 of us with three Safari's. Our safari guides were all amazing and it depends a lot on them for the tiger sightings. They follow the calls of other animals to spot the tigers. Apart from the tigers we spotted a lot of other varieties of animals and birds as well.

A huge forest area which shelters a large number of flora and fauna including tigers, peacocks, deers, boars and many more birds and animals.
You should definitely go for a safari and you might see a tiger if you're lucky but you'll definitely see all the other animals and birds in their natural habitat.
Regarding the booking, you can book online or offline at the ticket counter (there are different prices for different "types of sources" so make sure you do your research).

I had an unforgettable experience at Ranthambore National Park in Savai Madhopur! The reserve's natural beauty and abundant wildlife were truly captivating. What made it even more special was our incredible luck of spotting a young tiger couple just within the first 10 minutes of our journey in Zone 10. Witnessing these majestic creatures in their natural habitat was a surreal and heartwarming sight. The reserve's well-organized safaris and knowledgeable guides added to the overall enjoyment of the trip. Thanks to Ranthambore Safari booking as well for the Canter trip.If you're a wildlife enthusiast seeking a thrilling adventure, Ranthambore National Park is an absolute must-visit destination!

The best time to visit for tiger sighting is before monsoon as most zones are closed after, make sure to book in advance, and wear neutral colors on safari. Better experience with gypsy than canter. There are two check points, no one is allowed to get out of the car in the jungle. Even if you don't see tigers go for the scenery!!

First of all, Tiger is the main Attraction here and you have to be clear that seeing a Tiger is purely just LUCK !
Advance booking is highly recommended as the offline booking counters are not efficient and systematic
The reserve forest is of 10 different zones and have two shifts for safari rides
Either it's a canter or gypsy, seeing tiger is not guaranteed. You will be provided with a guide and driver
But still you can explore the other animals like deers, peacock, snake and experience the ride through the woods
Don't keep your expectations high for the tiger
Guru Harish — Google review
Go with family and friends and enjoy the jungle time. Nice hotels there to stay. I am unable to recall my resort but I will check and update it later. Avoid going in luxury car as most of the terrain is rough. My resort is recommended as food was awesome, it had pool and not far from places.
Go for safari and in the same day see the museum as well as pick up is near museum. Book well in advance and ask your hotel to book. It was about 110-1300 per person. Take water bottle and some snacks along.
Go and enjoy. Don't go in peak summer or rainy season. You will be in open vehicle for 1-3 hours so wear your shades and sunscreen as well 😁👍🏼.

Stunning national park with beautiful views at sunrise. Mixture of grassland, woodland and desert rock. Visited three times for a "tiger safari" which mainly consisted of deer and monkeys. Love that 80% of the park is not visited by humans and hopefully this means that the tigers in the area are well protected. They remained elusive throughout this trip although signs of then were seen and heard. Lovely experience but my advice would be don't expect to see any tigers!

Incredible place, beautiful wildlife and environment. The drivers and guides were helpful at times and tried hard to help find tigers. Something to keep in mind is that sightings are rare and lucky, we did 7 safaris and were fortunate to see 1 tiger. Would highly recommend it!

One of the best Tiger Reserves in India is located here, it’s a 1700square km forested area. I was told only 20% of the area is open for public to do safaris. All in there are 10 different gates for safari. One can choose which gates the one to go. Chances of seeing the Majestic Bengal Tiger is quite high here, again depending on your luck and other factors.
There are two types of vehicles going into the park for Safari the canter and 4WD jeeps.
Breathtaking scenery awaits you with many wildlife to be seen very close to the tracks.
This place will give you a great unforgettable safari experience.
Most guides are well experienced and will give you great insight about the park and the tigers u see.
About 80 Bengal Tigers roam this forest.

This National Park serves as a sanctuary for various species of fauna and flora. It's notable for Tigers of which there are 80+ in the park at the time of this review. It's also a rare grey forest area where visibility is easily 1-2km this making it the most ideal National Park to sight tigers among other animals. Definitely worth visiting and enjoying the safari. Safaris are by zones and you may or may not be lucky to sight a tiger in your zone. Nonetheless the safari experience itself is worth it. Note though that the best time to visit is in the summer (June-July). If you do the winter safari make sure to layer up as the wind chill effect really brings the cold in.

Had two great safari drives in Ranthambore. On the first we saw Samba Deer, Crocodiles and a Jungle Cat.
On the second drive, we had seen the above again but little else. In the last 30 minutes, we saw a leopard, sloth bear and then the Royal Bengal Tiger. Completely excited truck full of happy people.
Only minor negatives being lack of commentary from safari guide and definite language barrier
Overall, Was an amazing day in a beautiful setting

Never been on a tiger reserve safari ride before, the park was nice as it’s a natural setting with a lake inside but didn’t have the “wow” scenic factor. We were the only group that spotted the tiger nicknamed “Challenger”, he was a beauty! There were peacocks, deers, monkeys, bats, alligators and other small animals. However an unexpected highlight of the day was a flock of super friendly birds flying around us. Btw.. there is public toilets inside the park in case “nature calls”..

We did four Safaris but were lucky to see the big cat in Zone 2 only. But it was as thrilling as it can get. Also saw leopard in same zone. Prefer zone 1 to 5 for better chances. Avoid zone 7, 8 and 9 as Tiger spotting here is much less. Our guide told is that chances of spotting the Tiger in summer, May & June, are much brighter as the animals come to water holes.
Avoid booking through unscrupulous agents.

Trinetra Ganesha Temple is a unique temple as pointed by other reviewers. Another interesting fact is that the people in the region also send the first wedding invitation to Ganesh ji in this temple.
How to reach: it is situated atop Ranthambore fort at a distance of around 6-7 km from the main town. The entry point is through the national park and then there is approximately 15 minutes of drive. The narrow road is made of stones so the ride is going to bumpy and you have to be very careful while going up. After the ride, you'll have to hike for another 15 minutes to reach the temple. There is a parking lot at the base of the fort.
A local committee charges 20 rupees for vehicles.
Hike and the fort: 15 minutes of easy hike majority of which includes the walk on the stairs. There are many temple inside the fort including Annapurna temple, Kalika ma temple, Sita Ram temple and a Jain temple. You get beautiful view of the forest and the lake from the fort.
Timings: I visited the temple on 3rd October 2022 at around 1PM and it was scorching hot. So I would recommend people going there in the morning, the temple remains open from 06:00 Am to 04:00 PM.
Trinetra Ganesha Temple: the temple was divine and the murtis of Ganesha ji and family were marvellous. There are a few shops near the temple and you can buy water, sweets and snacks. However, the temple administration should focus on maintaining the cleanliness.

Visited Ganesh ji temple in June 2023. To visit this temple you will need to go from Ranthambore fort. It requires at least two hours to visit with family. You will find many photo shoot locations while visiting this temple. Ganesh ji is seated in this temple with Devi ridhi and Sidhi and his sons. Avoid going to this temple on Wednesday and Ganesh chaturthi as these days there is a huge rush. You can also visit nearby Kalika temple, Shri laxminarayan temple etc. I would surely recommend this place while visiting ranthambore. Photography and videography is strictly prohibited 🚫 inside temple.

There are many steps to the temple along the fort, so though the journey is scenic, it can be challenging for elderly. Also, you can get a guide as there are many of them offering their services.
The place is surrounded by beautiful scenery overlooking the Ranthambore tiger reserve and mountains and valleys.
The temple is simple and modest. You'll find ample of small shops, cafes and sellers of offerings and garlands as is the norm outside all Indian temples.
Beware of the monkeys though as they can be pretty aggressive at times

Ganesh temple was good. You gotta climb a few fort stairs to reach there. The disappointing thing was that people have littered there a lot and scribbled the historic walls. Trinetra Ganesh Temple in Ranthambore fort is a remarkable place that holds a fascinating history. This temple, which is approximately 724 years old, houses a unique Ganesha statue that isn't man-made but a natural creation that emerged from the rock itself. The sight of this ancient statue is awe-inspiring and instills a sense of divine connection.
Legend has it that Lord Ganesha revealed himself to a sage who meditated at this very spot, thus giving birth to the Trinetra Ganesh Temple. Over the centuries, the temple has become a sacred destination for devotees seeking blessings and fulfilling their heartfelt wishes.
However, visitors are advised not to trek during peak hours of the daytime, especially in summer, due to scorching temperatures. It's essential to stay hydrated and take necessary precautions to avoid any health issues during the journey. Make sure to reach temple before 4 pm as there is no entry after 4pm.
When planning your visit, make sure to carry enough cash, as the temple's location might result in no network coverage, and online transactions are not possible once you reach the temple premises.
In conclusion, Trinetra Ganesh Temple in Ranthambore is a place of spiritual significance with a mesmerizing natural Ganesha statue that leaves a lasting impression on its visitors. Devotees are sure to find solace and fulfillment in their prayers if offered with a pure heart and sincerity. A visit to this sacred site is a unique and spiritually enriching experience, but proper planning and timing are essential to make the most of the journey.
