Krabi City Seaview
Hotel
The Krabi City Seaview hotel is a modest establishment that features simple yet comfortable accommodations and an informal restaurant with panoramic ocean vistas. During our three-night stay in two of their unpretentious rooms, we found the 2-star property to be ideal for our needs. The balcony room we stayed in offered breathtaking views that have left a lasting impression on us. Its location, which is only a ten-minute walk from Krabi city center, was also convenient.
We had 2 rooms and stayed 3 nights. As a 2 star hotel it is perfect. Especially balcony room. It has a awesome view never can forget. Good location about 10 minutes walking to Krabi city centre. Cleanliness is ok but bathroom in see view room (without balcony) need urgent renew. Stuffs are friendly and helpful. Breakfast serves semi buffet but good quality and sufficient. I will come back here for sure.

Only 10min walk to night markets. The hotel is next to the park with nice view of the river/sea gate. Room is clean, old style furnitures.
Something to consider:
- no elevator (but low stairway)
- in room: no slippers, no complimentary water
- in bathroom: quite small, slippery if wet floor

No windows open very poor ventilation just a rented room
Dan Ward — Google review
Room smelled, there is no sea view from the rooms, to be fair there is no view at all from the rooms. Cockroaches in the bathrooms and ceilings falling apart. There's no staff at night at the reception so when I locked myself from the room at night there was nobody to open the door, and no phone number to call. At least it was very cheap.

We choose this place because is near the pier (about 800m). If you don't want to be underground without the window, don't choose the cheapest room. It was really dark and small. But maybe for one night with low budget can be ok. Up the roof is small place where the breakfast is served and from here is very nice view.
Ladislav Kocián — Google review
Please don't go there. First of all it's way too expensive for what you get. The only good thing about this place is the short distance to the nightmarket an the nice receptionist. The first room we had had such a dirty shower and toilet. And the room was smelling like mold. So we got another room with at last a somewhat cleaner bathroom but still you didn't want to touch the shower. It was still smelling like mold and we foud some mold on the bedsheed. We endet up sleeping with a plastic sheet over the bed because we spend way too much on this hotel.

A truly budget hotel but with great river views. Quiet position, located in Krabi Town on the riverside. 5 minute walk to shops, restaurants, street food and coffee shops. Hotel really needs some TLC but OK for the money. Rooms spacious and clean but basic. Bathroom also large but in need of some decoration! No safe in room. Top floor rooms (5th floor) have best views. You will need to book a 'deluxe' room as this appears to be their 'best'. Breakfast very basic with no Thai option. Served on the 5th floor open balcony which is nice. Very friendly staff. River Pier just 5 minute walk for access to Long-tail boats and ferries to all of the islands.
Neil Thompson — Google review
Stayed during low season - great river location with nice rooftop and garden terraces. Room was a bit small but clean and the host is so helpful and accommodating. Near night food market. Love the river walk-perfect for a run!

Tempurung Cave is a vast limestone cavern with walkways and a river, featuring stalagmites and stalactites along with guided tours. The educational first hour gives way to more challenging activities such as climbing, sliding down muddy slopes, and crawling through streams. This adventure is not recommended for those with weak knee or back muscles. A knowledgeable guide leads the tour which can be an excellent test of mettle.
One of best caves explored... Not sure how a big complex network of cave is formed. Clear steps with adequate lighting is provided within. We walked for 2 hours long the dry path still can't complete the entire trail. Advise to take both the wet and dry one. Ensure to start the trial before 12PM.
Ramesh S — Google review
A stunningly beautiful cave to explore! They open only after 8am so don't come too early. There are 4 stages in the cave hike and we walked only stage 1 and 2 which are relatively easy and took us 50 mins to complete.
Very humid and will make you sweat bullets but not very hot. Stairs and floor is slippery so beware!
River trekking on stage 3 and 4 seem very interesting but they only open for groups of more than 5.
Nick Liaw — Google review
Nice place to hike in a cave! Tickets are reasonable, there are 2 options:
1. Dry route
2. Wet route, need a guide (appointed by the management during the ticket purchased).
Rock Media — Google review
Not a bad experience. There's a designated path for you to follow. On the 2 easier routes, there is no guide. Also it's quite hot and humid inside. Took the second route and spent about an hour inside. Be prepared for lots of step climbing.
Chia Zhi Jie — Google review
The first hour of the tour was educational, However, the real test came when we stepped off the metal platform. The tour includes a lot of climbing, sliding down muddy slopes and crawling through streams, I would not recommend it for anyone with weak knee or back muscles. We had a one guide on our tour, and he was excellent and quite informative.
It was a fantastic test of my mettle! "I can't imagine doing that again," I tell myself, but the truth is, "you should do it at least once in your life." Going on this adventure with friends makes it even more enjoyable because you get to see parts of the world that you would not normally be able to see.

A great place to visit, with a beautiful drive and a clear road. The surrounding scenery with the mountain view is breathtaking. There are two packages available, one for RM8 for a 40-minute round trip and another for RM12 for a one-hour round trip. It's a stunning cave, but be careful when exploring it. It's not recommended for those who dislike walking. There is ample parking space available. Highly recommended !
Onari Kajz — Google review
If you're adventurous, I highly highly recommend the wet tour. I got the third package and had an amazing 3+h journey to another world 😂, definitely not for the faint hearted. Advance booking is recommended to get the time slots you want. If you wanna be a pro, get knee and elbow pads, socks, long pants, high power torch light. Note, you'll be crawling in sand and swimming in the river.... All in the dark.

first time there. took the second dry course. i wanted to go for the wet one. but i was a little late there. the dry course was my only option. i love it anyway. recommend to be there in the early morning if you want to take the wet course.

Gua Tempurung is an awe-inspiring marvel! As a passionate traveler, I was captivated by its breathtaking beauty and thrilling adventure. The limestone formations within the cave are simply mesmerizing, taking me on a journey through time. The guided tour provided fascinating insights into its rich geological history. Exploring the cave's depths was an exhilarating experience, filled with excitement and wonder. For nature enthusiasts and adventure seekers alike,
Gua Tempurung is an absolute must-visit destination.
Prepare to be amazed!

This natural cave is huge. It's almost overwhelming the sheer size of the place
Inside there is a track for you to walk through while exploring Gua Tempurung. Plenty of have rails as well
It's very cleverly made with the track snaking in and out, up and down while offering amazing views. Keep your eyes on the roof, you might be lucky enough to see some bats as well
Highly recommend. It's a good 120m high over about 600m. Make sure to bring water
Joel Molloy — Google review
This is one really beautiful cave. I recommend all should at least visit it once to be enthralled by its natural beauty. This cave is awashed in a multitude of colours, it's simply beyond description. There are also different levels of tours tailored for individual capacity to traverse this 1.9 km long cave. Go visit. You will be amazed by how beautiful this cave is.

A wonderful experience, we did the tour 2 which took us to platform 5. Definitely worth the small entrance fee. We will definitely be back to do the wet tours next time.
Anthony James — Google review
Enjoyed visiting and exploring the cave. Unhappy they charge tourists extra for entry - there is no reason for this. It takes about two hours to explore the caves at the first level if you walk slowly and explore the place. Lots of parking and toilets at this location. Can also purchase tickets for rafting here too, again must pay extra if not a local.
Karl Tilbury — Google review
We took Tour 2, which was a dry tour 600m into the cave and 600m out. At the entrance, they will ask you to take a photo on the pretext to check the people going into the cave as safety precautions and try to sell you printed photo when you exit the cave. You can reject their offer to buy, and they will accept it with a smile.
The route has a lot of steps and can be quite tiring for the weak. It is also very humid and warm inside. There is only one place where there is a cool breeze.
The cave is quite dark despite the lighting and hard to appreciate the surroundings, and it is made worse when one has to keep looking down to mind the steps.
Overall, it is a do-only-once activity for the dry tours. We heard there are people who came back for the wet tours a few times.
LP Pua — Google review
A huge cave here in Gopeng. You can opt for a dry tour or a wet tour, where the latter offers a more in depth walk and exploration into the cave.
But beware, it is not an easy hike. There are a LOT of stairs. If you are less able to climb stairs, you can opt for a shorter hike option.
Overall, the cave offers a good exercise with a nice view.

It is a must visit place when you come to Perak! We took the dry tour 2. Mentioned on the info card it took 40 minutes to complete the tour but actually we done it in 2 hours, maybe because we were mesmerized by the beauty of the cave. The cave trail was crowded during the weekend/public holiday. Better to come as early as 9am to capture the good moment peacefully.

Went through Tour 2 route which was quite straight forward. The route is consist of stairs and platform. Some are slightly steep but overall is not difficult. One point of the route is very windy which is nice.
KT Chiam — Google review
We did the dry tour 2 and completed it in less than two hours, including photo taking. Some stairs can be steep but overall it is safe and the caves are well lit. We bought the tickets on the spot.

We really enjoyed this cave and practically had it to ourselves for a bit. It’s a large cave with several options for tours. We did the dry tour, but it looked like the people on the wet tour were really having fun in th water down below us.

Amazing & fascinating caving experience, especially for cave enthusiasts or casual visitors. Definitely, worth to explore such a huge limestone cave with stunning underground river & underground waterfalls.
Truly, a big shock to me , the moment I entered. A gigantic dome makes us, with one stunning blow & speechless. I’d been told by the authority, this formation took 250 million years ago.
Four types of exciting & adventure tours available that you can choose from. Facilities inclusive of toilets, changing rooms, surau, & shop for refreshments.
Let the journey begin! Indiana Jones here we come.
Highly recommend for underground river tour adventures.

Excellent experience awesome cave it's so big they have dry tour and wet tour and belive me you do get wet and on boats with small tunnel to crawl through so if don't like small enclosure don't go just go on dry tour as its a walk through cave of 650m then walk back again plus many steps very steep
Travelling the world Tasting the world — Google review
Had opted for Level 4 caving experience which covers the river as well as the deeper extents of the cave without any of the stairwell. Boy was it an experience! Caving up in the dark with only headlamps and no sense of depth was freaky and a little scary. There were many spiders and crickets sharing the path (all harmless and completely uninterested in the humans invading their space) and a colony of bats with their poop littering an entire area at one point. The cave had many spaces where it was slightly tricky to scale but if you're a person with an average level of fitness and a will to do do it, you can. You will sweat, inhale a lot of dust and have to crawl through tight spaces so do read up before choosing level 3 or 4. Level 1-2 can be done by anyone as long as they can walk up and down several steps.
Level 3 of the caving experience was all about the stalactites and marble formation from limestone. There were gorgeous structures and a lot of walking down the river stream in the cave. I managed to spot a lobster too!
I had an unforgettable experience this time round (I had come here once and only done up to level 1 end then) and I am glad that I did it.

I took Stage 4 to discover this massive cave with my partner and its really worth it. I bought ticket an advance from Klook. You guys should try it too. Its fun and thrilling
The Sunway Lost World Hotel is a 174-room hotel located in the famed Lost World of Tambun Theme Park which is just a stones throw away from the hotel. The hotel offers a choice of king or twin beds and is set to rival more established hotels in Perak.
Room: Family suite spacious and clean.
Service: Received warm welcome from fontliners and friendly staff escorted us to across the road to theme park.
Location: just opposite of theme park but for not locate delights. Need to grab car to Ipoh Town to hunt local food.
Overall, we were enjoyed the stay in Sunway Lost World Hotel.

We only went to the water theme park. Less crowded during the fasting season. However, the cleanliness of the pool, slides and other play matters like the buckets should be maintained clean..there was dirt and algae growth all over... Overall it was a great place to spend time 😊

Went to there in last week. There are ample free parking for hotel quests. The staff from the hotel to the House-keeping, the Guards and at the Theme park were all very helpful and friendly, well done! The room was clean and comfortable. It is recommended to equipped with some cutlery like forks an d spoons. The breakfast at the Garden Terrace was not good. The fried rice and beehoon were too salty, variety of food is very minimal. It can be improved somehow. There are many activities in the theme park, it is a good place for the holiday of the family

Fast service when we call the operator. One of our toilets can't flush and we were told we need to manually fill the tank with water before we flush each time. The water splashed from the toilet bowl when the plumber tried to fix it and we had to clean the toilet. The breakfast selection and quality is not as good as other similar hotels. Need to walk across a road to get to the breakfast location too. We are not allowed to request for extra towels but we can request to change towels. The hotel WiFi doesn't work properly. Some of us can't even connect even though we requested help from staff.

I recently stayed at Sunway Lost World Hotel and had a fantastic experience. The service was impeccable, with staff going above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction throughout my stay. From check-in to check-out, every interaction was met with warmth and professionalism.
The rooms were spacious, clean, and tastefully decorated, providing a cozy retreat after a day of exploring. The beds were comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep, and the amenities provided added an extra touch of luxury to the experience.
Overall, I highly recommend Sunway Lost World Hotel for anyone looking for a delightful getaway. With excellent service, comfortable rooms, and a convenient location, it's the perfect choice for a memorable stay.

This hotel room is pretty basic, but enough for us. Clean and tidy. Service is good.
Breakfast is at the lost world entrance, pretty basic food, cost is included in the room rate.
The only added point is that this hotel is located next to the Lost world of tambun, and the room rate includes 2 entrance tickets for night park, otherwise the room is considered expensive.
K S Lim — Google review
Overall, a wonderful stay that includes a free ticket to the Lost World and is filled with enjoyment. Sadly, because it is pouring, I must forgo some attractions and return to the hotel early. The hotel offers good customer service with prompt responses, and the breakfast is adequate. Everything is fine. No cost parking! Nice and good! Strongly recommended

Very good location as its just opposite lost world themepark.
Pros
Location. The room also includes themepark night park ticket.
Cons
Ventilation along the corridor is not very good.
The parking is available for the hotel guest but the parking area does not feel very secured
The breakfast hall is too far from the hotel, u need to cross the main road to eat breakfast
Melody Ng — Google review
One of the main issues I encountered was with the secondary lock on my room door. Unfortunately, it couldn't lock properly, which left me feeling a bit uneasy about the security of my belongings.
Another problem was the shower heater. Although there was hot water flowing from the basin, the shower heater itself seemed to be malfunctioning. It left me puzzled as to whether the issue was with the heater or something else.
The air conditioning in the room was also a bit of a letdown. It was kind of noisy, but I managed to bear with it. However, I believe it's an aspect that could be improved for a more comfortable stay.
Lastly, the person in charge of handling luggage seemed a bit clueless, as he parked his van right in the middle of the road to load the luggage. This caused a major inconvenience for other vehicles trying to pass through.
To make matters worse, once all the customers and luggage were onboarded, the driver decided to engage in a chat with the hotel staff. This led to traffic jam forming behind the van.
Interestingly, I couldn't help but notice that there was a dedicated parking area right near the lobby entrance, specifically intended for vehicles like the van. It left me puzzled as to why the driver didn't opt to use this convenient parking spot, which could have avoided the unnecessary obstruction and delays.
While my stay at the hotel was overall enjoyable, this transport mishap certainly left a lasting impression. It's my hope that the hotel management takes note of this feedback and addresses the transport arrangement issues to ensure smoother experiences for guests.

Just across the street to Lost World of Tambun. The staffs were very helpful and friendly. I can't remember the last time a hostel staff actually explained in detail how to get to our room. Excellent service. Our room was clean and nice. We love the complimentary Ipoh white coffee!

Deluxe Room is very roomy, clean and comfortable. Easy access to Lost World Theme Park. Staff was great and friendly!
We went for the night park. Nothing much apart for the hot spring tbh. We didn't go for the day park so I can't comment on that.

Love it that they provide refillable water and were very quick with sending the refills over. Didn't like it as their pillow and sheets smells. Bring ur own pillow case. Stay here if you're planning to go to the theme park as there's 2 free night park tickets and 35% off for day park tickets. Room comes with 2 free breakfast but too many good food in Ipoh to try their breakfast. Room can accommodate up to 4 people. Extra roll away bed costs RM160.

Spent a couple of days there and very convenient if you are visiting the Lost World park. Rooms could have been cleaned a bit more regularly but it was comfortable. Service was very good. If you require anything, call reception and somebody is sent within minutes. Overall, had a good stay.

It is a old hotel. Dated room. Bathroom needs renovation. Water pressure of shower head is too weak. They only provide 1 shower gel and 1 shampoo. For a family to use ? Bring your own amenities. Breakfast is okay. Staff service is great. It is a raining day and all water comes inside our room through windows (which are all closed). We call reception desk, they just send someone to clean up the floor and did not change another room to us. Around 12:30 am. Guest from other rooms yelling and pounding the other guest room door and last for at least 30 minutes. I have such bed experience. However all staff are very nice and friendly.

The front counter, housekeeping and maintenance staff were friendly and helpful. Requests for drinking water were always fulfilled promptly.
We had issue with the lack of water heating when we first checked in, but maintenance had it resolved quickly upon feedback.
Overall, room was spacious and clean. Sufficient amenities provided for our one night stay there. Will definitely recommend if you want to visit the lost world theme park.

The room is clean and all important features such as kettle, hair dryer, fridge, Aircon, tv remote control, water heater and lights all work fine. The air conditioning blowers are facing both sides of the bed to ensure even distribution of cool air. I love the practice of using glass bottles for drinking water instead of single -use plastic bottles. Nice complementary coffee too. Friendly staff and nice hot spring facility. My family really enjoyed our stay there.

Nice hotel, easily accessible. Right in front of the waterpark. Wheelchair and stroller friendly. For breakfast buffet had to cross the road. Not so much varieties. Hopefully they can serve more toddler friendly food - other than cereal and highly processed sausages. Maybe some fried rice or fried chicken.

We went during peak season. The room is fairly basic for the price we pay. We changed 2 rooms due to aircondition was not being cold. The staff upgraded us to a bigger room with 2 ceiling mount aircondition. 5 stars for their excellent service.

I was last at Sunway Lost World Hotel 10 years ago. Perhaps it was recently refreshed then, but I remember it being rather good. I checked into this hotel last weekend and found that it is unfortunately not as nice as I remember.
During my 3d 2n stay, my family only experienced hot water all of once. When I complained to the front desk, they sent a maintenance guy who recommended we leave the water running until it was hot. It was obvious there was prior repair work in my bathroom (as well as around the room) in the past and, it was also quite obviously shoddy work. Despite not having any hot water, I suppose it was okay for it to be not cold, at least it was a little bit warm.
Another thing that really irked me, was how I could not replenish my water without first surrendering a bottle. Why is it I can only have 2 bottles in the room at any time? @Sunway Lost World Hotel, if you are reading this, those glass bottles really are not worth nicking -- your housekeeping team did their best to explain, but I must say I was annoyed. Bogged down by rigid policies.
This being Ipoh, I skipped having meals (breakfast) at the hotel; opting to go out for food instead. But on a rainy night, ordering food for in-room dining was a really unpleasant experience, given there was only one chair (and no sofa) in our corner room. Plenty of space, but one working desk, one chair and nowhere civil to place the food -- what a wasted opportunity!
However, I must commend the great staff: from front-desk to housekeeping, who were warm, friendly, patient and seemed to genuinely want to help. Service alone, I'd rate them 4/5. They deserve a pat on their backs, although it feels as though they are struggling with the tools they are provided with.
The hotel is just a 5 min walk away from the theme park (which also feels significantly aged since I was last there), and is in decent proximity to most other amenities (fast food, petrol station, pharmacy, grocery store, etc). Town and most of the local fare is in the city center, some 15-20 mins drive away... but there is always Grab if you are too tired to drive out for dinner.
All things considered -- I regard the stay as value for money, as room stay also included entry into the theme park (which my kid thoroughly enjoyed). There's no discounting how this is really a budget hotel, but great value for the attached water theme park.

The staff deserves special recognition for their warmth and attentiveness. Every member, from the front desk to the housekeeping, went above and beyond to ensure my comfort. They were not only professional but also genuinely friendly, making me feel welcomed throughout my entire stay.

This hotel isn’t too bad, but not really worth the price. They seem short of staff but they do try their best to help us as fast as they can. They were also short of utilities like towels, so we had to wait quite a while for them after coming back from the hot springs!
Besides that, the shower head did not have hot water most of the time and the pressure was really low.
But other than that, it was an okay hotel for a few days to bunk in. Food was also okay! I would recommend this hotel just to sleep and eat, but not to relax the whole day and watch TV kinda holiday. Enjoy! :)

Rooms a bit old. But yeah its clean like 3 stars hotel. Bed, bathroom, small tv, aircond. Your typical 3 stars hotel.
But service is top notch. Especially when ask them to adjust the aircond fan, and refill water. Very fast and helpful. They also provide baby cot which is such a plus point for parents with small baby.
Location is strstegic near to the main city, easy to go everywhere and the waterpark is just infront of the hotel.
Breakfast : they provide simple food not something amazing. Can eat thats all. Not a lot variety just nasi lemak, cereal, noodle, porridge. With very fewwwwwww side dishes . (When we come also everything empty already)
But its ok since our plan also going to explore ipoh delicacies and play inside waterpark.
TV only tv cable dont have any nice to watch, especially when u have a bored toddler it would be suck. Nothing to watch at all.
Aircond nice cool and strong (best, especially in ipoh hot weather)
Toilet water is very weak so when u need to do ypur business. You will have a bit anxiety when u flush. But ok lah after 30 mins u try to flush again it will go down.
Shower is ok. Hot water just fine.
The best thing i noticed from the hotel they write everything on the bottle that we can just call to refill our water. Which is so glad to read. Not all hotel will tell u that. Because some hotel will only provide 2 mineral water. And since they support sustainability they will help us refill our water. And service once again was superb. It was really fast and helpful.
Outside room door would be a bit creepy and oldie when u walk. Maybe a bit renov might sound better. Indeed it was an old hotel, but luckily because of the waterpark got a lot peoples staying in this hotel so it feel less creepy. BUT IT WAS A GREAT STAY AFTER ALL.

Ipoh World is a museum devoted to the history and culture of Ipoh, Malaysia. It is situated on the banks of the Kinta River and is one of the region's most popular tourist destinations. The museum has a broad range of exhibits on local history, including objects from Perak's tin mining days. There is also a Hakka themed restaurant available for private events.
Excellent museum about the history of tin mining in Perak. Very nice exhibits and guided tour. Only accessible after prior registration at website. Most interesting place to visit in Ipoh.

A must go in Ipoh, the building is beautifully restored to tell the history behind. You could get a glimpse of Ipoh's tin mining history and the old glory days, as well as the Hakka culture. Joining the guided tour is the only way to visit (as of Apr 2023), so make sure you make a reservation online in advance! Admission is completely free and you're encouraged to donate freely to support the reservation.

Great place to hear about the tin mining history of Ipoh and the many hardships they faced and how hard they laboured. The guide was highly knowledgeable too. My two teens enjoyed the visit too.

Considering they don’t charge entrance fees, it’s perfect. It’s an hour long tour conducted by Leong.
Good to understand a bit of old ipoh town history. Fun fact: do you know that Ipoh got its name from Epau which was probably a name of a local orang asli village back in the 1800s before it gained prominence for its tin mining community.
Please do remember to donate to the cause as your heart desires to support them in keeping the history of Ipoh.

The Ipoh Railway Station is a beautiful and historic building with British colonial architecture and a touch of Indian architecture. It is currently an active train station that is operated by Keretapi Tanah Melayu. The Ipoh Railway Station is perfect for taking photos, as it has a beautiful backdrop for your #OOTD.
Breathtaking architecture. A unique blend of Islamic motifs and British colonial design. This railway station is also steeped in history. There are informative posters and signs found throughout the entire station.
I would recommend coming a day earlier than your intended departure to purchase your KTM or ETS tickets. That was what I did for my short trip to Taiping.

Jack Lim — Google review
It was a smooth and quiet ride and the seats (platinum) were fairly comfortable. It doesn't indicate on the ticket itself which platform's train to board so do ask the staff if you aren't sure.
The system is somewhat primitive but it works - while QR is used for passengers to enter through the gates, staff would place a physical printed card (with the next train's scheduled arrival time) near the entrance to indicate that it's time for passengers to line up for the train. There would also be a short announcement through the loudspeakers. There is no need to be there too early like in the airports as the process is fairly simple (just don't miss the train!). From my observation, the trains come and leave on time.
While I liked the heritage feel of this old building, some parts looked like they needed maintenance. At the front of the building is a park with what seemed like an old, dysfunctional water fountain in the middle of it. You'd also have to pay 30 sen to enter the toilets in the building, so it's best to use the ones in the ETS trains if you're traveling.

We were here in 2002 and stayed in the rooms on the first floor. An interesting stay! The bed collapsed off the bricks holding it up and the only natural light was through the door. Breakfast was served in the old waiting room on the ground floor, freshly made and a cooked breakfast arrived one minute later ! It was a lovely old building with a gorgeous veranda with rattan sofas and slowly rotating fans. A beautiful old colonial building

Historical railway station. Always nice and clean. Quite spacious and easy to get a seat. Organized area for pick up and drop off. Always nice traveling through Ipoh Railway Station.
Always nice to be back in Ipoh after 2 years. Nothing has changed other than the new fancy turn styles that scan your ticket QR code. Washrooms are still reasonably clean and all COVID protocols and best practices were being observed.
Never gets old to come back home to Ipoh! Nothing ever changes much at the train station but it is still well maintained and free washrooms today! Bonus! Feels great to be back!

You can rent bicycles from 10am onwards if you’d like. Can’t remember the price but it shouldn’t be too expensive!

My last visit to Taiping was like 42 years ago but I still remember the most famous spot which is the Lake Garden. A MUST visit place, when in Taiping. Spectacular view from every angle and such a peaceful place to be. Unfortunately the sky was cloudy and started to drizzle as soon as I started capturing the beautiful scenes. Although it started to drizzle, it didn't stop those people from their jog, walk, cycling or playing the water bike ducks.
The first thing I saw was a huge eel like thing swimming in d water...probably a lizard. Love the arches of the old trees...the tip of the branches touching the water. Even the old tree stump looks beautiful with nicely paved tiles around it, creating a unique art piece. There was also a huge piece of fallen tree branches placed on the tarred road with a steel support...acting like a station for bicycles. There were some tandem bicycles too. Kudos to the Taiping Municipal Council for maintaining the park and preserving the old trees.

Century old trees, couple of them resembling giant animals resting on the soft greens. The giant lotus flower pond was an amazing view.
Very CLEAN park. Loved It!!
.
Go early, like 6.30 am onwards, lovely fresh air. There are tons of parakeets on the century old trees. At 7.30 am, there are many people in workout or dance clusters.
.
Small but sufficient to circumnavigate twice for a longer walk.
.
Some inner pathways may be 2-person-side by side, in width.

The Taiping Zoo in Perak offers a nighttime safari where guests can observe various nocturnal animals illuminated by simulated moonlight. It is a well-maintained and well-run zoo with an easy-to-follow layout that provides an excellent experience for visitors. The lions are particularly impressive, and although the enclosures may look old, they are safe for both the animals and guests.
My all time favourite place to visit when I’m in Taiping. Well maintained, well run. The layout makes the flow very easy to follow. It’s a great experience. The lions are spectacular. The enclosures look old, but they still feel safe. We had the pleasure of witnessing the zookeepers feeding the animals. Wouldn’t trade that experience with anything else in the world

The last I came to Taiping Zoo is 15 yrs ago(-+), it's still a best place for children and us. It wasn't amazing experience to go at 9:30 a.m.. no crowd at all so we took the tram to go around the entire Zoo driver was very helpful in pointing out where the animals were hiding. Rm16 for entrance fee. Highly recommended.

A bit disappointing because many of the cages were under maintenance, there were no animal present. Almost 30 to 40 percent empty.
The google maps show 8 am morning time but zoo opens at 8 30. Tram ride included in ticket . The tram drivers in the morning will take up late and hence you need to wait more to be able to take it.
The best way is to take a whole trip of tram first to see areas of interest and then take a walking tour.
Spend more time between 9 to 11 as it is their feeding time.

Me and my two teens had a great visit at the zoo. The animals had a lot of space and were in their natural environment. Our highlight was the Malayan tiger. A bit crowded even on weekdays (school holidays). The entrance fee was RM15 per person. We hopped on the tram. It was quite a queue but the trams service was handled efficiently so the wait was not that long. The animals looked comfortable and well fed. We had a good time there.

Taiping Zoo is a fantastic place to visit, especially for families with young kids who are looking to gain some knowledge about zoo animals. Established in 1961, it is the oldest zoo in Malaysia, and it is easy to see why it has stood the test of time.
I recently visited Taiping Zoo and was impressed with the overall experience. Even though it started to rain upon our arrival, we were prepared with umbrellas because we know Taiping is famous for being a rain town. Despite the rain, we spent around 3 hours exploring the zoo and had a great time.
One of the things that stood out to me about Taiping Zoo is how well the animals are taken care of. Most of them are old, but healthy, and it is evident that they are being well-cared for. It was a joy to see the animals in their natural habitats and moving around freely, especially the monkeys.
Another thing I loved about Taiping Zoo is the abundance of greenery, which is a result of the heavy rainfall in Taiping. It adds to the overall beauty and natural feel of the zoo, making it a great place to relax and unwind.
Overall, I highly recommend Taiping Zoo to anyone looking for a fun and educational day out with their family. With its rich history and great selection of animals, it is definitely worth a visit. I know I will be back soon to explore more of what the zoo has to offer!

We went to Taiping Zoo on public holiday. Full of people, and we got to park quite a distance from the entrance. The kids still enjoyed the trip although the zoo seemed to be under maintenance, I guess, as some animals were not available in the cage. Great experience for the kids.
Nur Hazwani — Google review
Its great for a local council to have a zoo and plenty of families brought their children. My first time visiting. Pricing for locals is affordable.
Its nice to have the speed run of the zoo with the "train/tram" ride. Gives a short bearing as I was not provided a map.
Sadly many of the exhibits are quite run down or not bigger in size. Many of the grazers have bare enclosures, the water murky, the otter enclosure without fresh water. The chimp enclosure lacks shading. You can see most of the animals are hiding from the sun with whatever shade they had. Some enclosures had 1 poor animal in it.
Many others either empty and overgrown or "something exciting coming soon"
Floater plants overgrown in the water/ponds. Was supposed to look at fishes under the cover of floaters. What logic.
All in all, I'm surprised they still had a selection of animals to view, although skinny and not in great conditions. Put me in the dilemma of do we cage animals for eduction or do we let them live freely?
Justin Lim — Google review
Very good Zoo. Especially kids enjoy their lot. You can visit Zoo by food or by tram, tram is free included in tickets. By foot you can explore more. Adult( above 12 year) tickets are RM 16, kids and senior citizen tickets are RM 8.

We arrived at 8:30 and no one was in the garden except us, the lights were off and most of the animals were asleep. We waited for more people to arrive then after 10 munites took the tram tour. The driver seemed in a bit of a hurry so the duration of the trip was about 45 minutes. Still worth the price of b the ticket and definitely work a visit if you have never been to the zoo at night time before!
Sam Adam — Google review
For the price of the ticket at RM 20/adult ( for the night zoo), it was a worthwhile trip. The weather was cool and comfortable for a night stroll. The animals like the lions, tigers, hyenas and panthers were awake and walking about. The buggy ride was included in the ticket price and the driver we got was informative and very entertaining! We even got up close with the white swans and the grey crowned crane. Overall a great trip! The only downside was the maintenance of the toilets within the zoo.. do use the toilet at the entrance. Bought the tickets online, easy and convenient.

Very nice zoo. Kids love the tram and close distance with wild animals. During my visit, the toilet is under renovation, so suggest to go toilet at the entrance before start your journey.

Quite a good experience since it had been a long since I last visited the Taiping zoo. Adult ticket price if RM 16/pax and RM8/pax for senior citizens. Recommended to bring the kids during their school holidays as it would be a good experience for them to have a real and closer look at animals. Saw many little ones who were fascinated with those animals.
The overall maintenance was quite good but was kinda disappointed that there were many animals missing. The main animals such as elephants, tiger, deer, zebras, zirafah, lions, crocodiles and etc. were there.
We took buggy as there were senior citizen with us. The buggy driver was friendly and able to pronounce the animal names in Tamil as well. That was easier for older people to recognise it. The journey in the buggy was less than 1 hour. Walking probably would take 2 hours.
The overall experience was good for the money.
Sharon Amladass — Google review
This zoo is well maintained enough to put the KL's Zoo Negara to complete shame.
Initially went for the Night Safari, which was alright, although I could hardly see much of anything. The zoo guide would shine their high powered beam torches at the animals to point them out to visitors, not something I agree with, but then again, you won't spot them otherwise. But the Night Safari wasn't enough, so I went again the next day early in the morning.
Much better in the morning as it is quieter (not so hot too) and one can really appreciate the entire landscape of the zoo and animals.
If you have the patience for it, there's an EV bus that does its rounds every 2 hours (or so I'm told) that starts from the Taiping Zoo and then round all the Heritage Trail areas around Taiping town. Grab Car to most places costs about RM 5 per way (more or less).

Short visit here at Friday afternoon. A lot of food stalls with some ordinary and some extreme foods. We enjoy the slow. waves beach with sun set. Sitting using mattress on the sand kids play with sands and... Don't forget to. take picture with marmaid.

Nice airy beach space great for a day out with families. There's horse / pony rides for kids around and lots of small stores selling knick knacks / snacks / sand building toys.
A bunch of seafood stores just down the road as well - great for dinner !

1st time here, love the vibes of the beaches. There are bunches of food stall available around here. If looking for seafood also I would say can go for it since the price quite ok. Not too pricey not too cheap. Would say reasonable.

If you go to Songkhla, you must visit this mermaid at least once. It's at the same Samida beach 🏖 area where you'll find Thai cowboys with their horses offering you a ride with their well trained horses.
Also on the same beach is the cat and mouse sculpture.
There's a history to the existence of both. 😂

Good place to walk in the evening for chilling and picnic. All you have to do is bring your own mat, cups, plates, rubbish bag and cutlery. Along the street, there are people selling food and drinks; fried crab, prawn fritters, fruits and ice cream etc. The prawn fritters are so good, crispy with lots of prawn definitely recommended to get them. As for the mermaid sculpture, it's no longer golden as the name described. The best is just to take photo from far as it will be crowded and during pandemic, best not to touch it. According to my mom, the sculpture smells a bit weird. There are few activities you can do there like picnic, play kite, horse riding, swim or just whatever you can do at the beach. Washroom and shower room available along the beach by the small shops selling clothes and hats, 5-10 Baht per entry.

The Mermaid Sculpture was unique. It attracted a lot of tourists to visit this place.
It was a relaxing place to chill under the shades if the weather was good.
It's worth a trip to take photos with this Sculpture.

Locals say to touch the breast of the mermaid, and your wish may come true. Come just before sunset to get the best lighting and color. And don't forget to make a wish while cupping a handful of bronze. Oh yes, there is a beach with not so soft sand and horses that you can pay to ride.

One of the tourist spots that must be visited at Samila beach is the golden mermaid statue. The parking location is very large which can accommodate buses and private vehicles, we only walk a few hundred meters from the beach to the parking location. The atmosphere along the beach is very clean and beautiful, there are several photo spots that visitors can use at this location. There are also souvenir and clothing sellers available that visitors can buy. The toilet is in a clothing store which provides these facilities for a fee. The beach location is very clean and tends to be windy, visitors must bring a wide hat or umbrella, there are horses that can be rented to go around this beach. There were no visitors seen bathing in this beach area, perhaps because the waves were strong. At the Golden Mermaid statue, there are many queues to take photos, so visitors must be patient when taking photos at this spot. Visitors can enjoy the beauty of the beach by using the track provided besides walking on the beach sand. What you must try is coconut ice cream, where you can enjoy coconut water for free if you buy the ice cream, and there are other interesting snacks available to buy at affordable prices.

Beautiful beach to spend your evenings! There are local vendors nearby for quick snacks and souvenirs. This is a small size statue roughly human size. People were in queue to get pictures taken with the mermaid though 😁
Akhil — Google review
💢 You may need to queue in order to take the pictures with the statue. Around this area there are local vendors where you can get souvenirs and street foods. If you come from Hatyai Town, it will take 40 min journey to here. Advisable to rent a bike, by tuk tuk or Grab.
‼️ This mermaid was sculpted in 1966 by Jitr Buabus, the former director of the Arts and Craft College in Bangkok. It was constructed with a budget of 60,000 Baht funded by Songkhla Municipality and has become the symbol of Samila Beach ever since.
Nyonya Kacak — Google review
The most crowded spot on the beach is the mermaid statue, but there are plenty of other places to relax and enjoy the view. We spent about 15-20 minutes jogging and taking photos, then grabbed a beverage from Amazon Coffee and continued to chill on the beach.
Overall, Mermaid Beach is a good place to chill and enjoy a relaxing evening.

I came here about 10 years ago. Nothing changed much. But the statue still remains as favorite spot for photoshoot.
You could possibly get a good deal for things sold at nearby shops.
We managed to get various type of baskets at the open area much cheaper than other places.

Small wooded island featuring white-sand beaches & resorts, plus clear waters with a coral reef.
Another island in Thailand that shouldn’t miss..Private Island, quiet but beautiful. You can see the different view when low tide.

There are only four hotels on the east side of the island, all of which have private beaches. Even if you go 200 meters from the shore, the water does not reach your waist and is crystal clear. You won't get bored even if you lie on a chair all day. We stayed at Seven Sea Resort.

The beaches were stunning!! The Snorkeling, incredible! The water is crystal clear and warm. Fish colourful and inquisitive!
There are a couple of resorts on the beach so we grabbed a drink or two and had an amazing day!
I would add this island to your list if you have the time!! Fantastic reccomendation from The Sunny Hill Villa and thank you for arranging the whole thing for us. 10 out of 10!

We came here on a tour low season May on Thai coronation holiday being informed this was voted best beach in the world. We were disappointed as the main beach was just lined up with boats all along , the water foamy from the pollution from the boats and the mass tourism. We didn’t enjoy swimming until the tours had mostly left in the afternoon to enjoy a cleaner swim . We could see that the Paradise beach is beautiful when there are not a lot of people but these days, there are 2000/day on average visiting this small island with just 1 long stretch of beach and one small one via a 20 min jungle walk . The main beach has already been spoiled by the mass tourism in only a couple of months.

Emerald Cave, a popular attraction in Koh Mukk, offers an exciting adventure for visitors. Accessible by small kayak or boat, the cave features a short swim through dark passages before emerging onto a hidden beach with breathtaking views. Despite initial nervousness about enclosed spaces, many tourists found the experience to be safe and enjoyable with the help of guides providing head torches and float vests. Some recommend visiting at off-peak times to fully appreciate the marvel of nature without crowds.
Beautiful experience but very busy with tourists. Once inside the cave it is like tranquility and beauty I’ve never seen before. Truly worth visiting if you can.
Stephen Smith — Google review
We went here at mid tide with our 4 islands long tail tour! I was nervous as I don’t love enclosed spaces if dark and reading other reviews implied that. However our experience was so good - tour guide had a headlight which was great but honestly you swim through the first stretch and you can still see the entrance and light from it if you look back, swim around the little bend and there’s a small stretch that’s dark but you can almost straight away see the exit light coming through! Again this was our experience at the tide time - ended up being so fun and took us about 4-5 mins to swim through max! Beach is beautiful, busy but still worth it!

Koh Lanta Old Town is a tranquil destination with small shops, eateries and wooden houses. Its pier, weekend market and lobster statue are popular features for visitors. The town has retained its relaxed ambiance from the past when it was a trading hub influenced by various cultures along the trade route. Tourists can take a leisurely stroll down the main street to purchase souvenirs while enjoying the old-world charm of the place.
A very peaceful little town with little cafes and restaurants, a pier, an old ship and a lobster statue - a symbol of Koh Lanta’s Old Town. If you stay in Koh Lanta for a couple of days and have some spare time come and visit. Have a relaxing stroll along one Main Street and buy some souvenirs. And you can also shot great photos too)

On our trip to Thailand, while leaving Koh Lanta, we went here on our rented bike. It was sunny and quite humid but on seeing this place we were speechless. It was pretty and had the old world charm. It was not too crowded. Ample souvenir shops and restaurants were there. We were spoilt for choice as each offered better than the other. But souvenirs were a bit expensive. The surrounding locality and the nearby roads were beautiful.Still we had a great time. Like to come here again.

Old shopping street with restaurants and bars. Some restaurants are overlooking the ocean. The view is stunning.
It is half an hour ride from Saladan. If you are a confident motorbike rider, it is not too hard to do as the road is straight forward. Riding at night time can be quite tricky but cooler.
Walking along the street in midday is hot. There is not much shade and no trees.
Souvenir shops offer more interesting choices than the ones at Lanta Walking Street.
Prices are on high side.

Quite, small market, with places to eat and even (expensive) craft beer. Nice place to pick local apparel and handcraft (don't forget to haggle!).

We went here a few times on our trip, the ambiance is great, there are so many great restaurants here, and tons of shops to explore. We got some fun souvenirs here and things we'd forgotten to bring on our trip, like sunglasses, and a good wallet for cash (which is essential on Lanta but not something I need at home). This is a great place to visit, with a lot to see!

Don't just go here for a day trip. Stay a night or three or more. Laid back vibes from Lanta's old capital. Great places to eat and drink. No beach, so sit on a jetty overlooking the sea and slow down, relax and enjoy. Plus they've got a really big lobster.

What an interesting town or area, I guess would be a better term. A lot of Thailand had wooden structures but in the past years since World War II from what I understand, the wooden structures are now being built with or replaced with concrete and brick. This being a hot humid jungle with bugs that like to eat wood, it is a natural progression. Lanta Old Town still shows the old style construction techniques with wood and it felt like walking back in time. It is quaint and low-key and comfortable. The wood, of course, shows a lot of weathering and rotting but it is sort of kept up.
There are lots of eateries there and it's an experience to walk out on the piers that the restaurants are made of and on and sit and have something to eat and watch the weather and the ocean and feel the old feel to the town.
There is also a good size pier but overall there is an absence of coordinated upkeep for the whole area (typical, I will say) but definitely a good experience and my rating is 4 stars. It is worth the trip to visit and see what Thailand might have looked like around 1950 or so

Small but pretty. I visited by scooter from the north of Lanta during the day and the views over the Andaman sea and islands are lovely. (Viewpoint bar up the hill before Old Town or the one next door are good). During the day the water comes right up to the restaurants which is lovely. So worth either an afternoon or evening trip. The tide was out when we arrived at 8pm to eat and do a little shopping.

Lanta Old Town is a lovely place with shops selling cool stuff and cafes or restaurants along the street. Most cafes have a great view of the sea. Lanta Animal Welfare is a nonprofit organization that offers adoption services for dogs and cats, as well as guided tours and a merchandise shop. The sanctuary boasts ample space for every animal, and the employees and volunteers display great affection while taking care of them. It's impressive to see the amount of effort put into helping street animals without charging those who can't afford it.
The work they are doing are essential and amazing to the surrounding area. If you're in Koh Lanta, you have to visit and see all the lovely cats and dogs. 200baht per person and they currently only run 1 tour a day at 10:45 due to covid.

Lanta Animal Welfare was an amazing place to visit. They do so much for these vulnerable animals and give them a better life. A lot of these dogs and cats have been in life threatening conditions, so to see them in the great condition that they are today was truly touching. All of the staff and volunteers were great to speak to about information on each animal and were all really positive people. You could really tell that these people love doing what they do.
Would recommend anyone to come here to learn more about the work they are doing for these animals and the island itself, as well as potentially finding a new best friend to take home!

Absolutely amazing organisation! We booked a tour online around the welfare centre, there was a lot of information about how Lanta Animal Welfare came to be and what they do but it’s so important to understand fully just how much they do for animals on the island and the surrounding ones too. The volunteers are all really friendly - you can just tell how much they all adore animals and what a good job they do in look after them. The cats in kitty city were all so affectionate and friendly even after everything they’d been through!
The tour was really informative and a must do whilst on the island - we also did the time for lime cooking class which has been one of our favourite things yet. The chefs were friendly, funny and enthusiastic! I loved the cocktail making aspect of it too!

Worth a visit to support these animals! 200 Baht donation for the daily tour. They also have a gift shop where your money goes straight to the care of the animals. They really care for them. Many of them were abandoned, surrendered or found hurt by motor accidents or people (disgusting humans!!) They try their best to educate the public that animals need love and are not "dirty" which is what many people believe. They perform surgeries, neutering and spaying, give all the animals the shots they need. They are the reason why there are so many happy & healthy animals on Ko Lanta. They also need volunteers. Since Covid they don’t have as many so if you can spare the time, please reach out to help volunteer during your stay here! They are doing hard work and need all the support! ♥️♥️🙏🙏🐱🐶

You get to pet the cats and dogs, hear some stories why and how people are working there. In one hand it is bit sad to hear the tragic stories, but on the other hand there are so many heart worming happy ends.

Had a morning tour today and absolutely loved it, the work the shelter does is amazing for welfare and the freedom for the animals. The lady who gave us our tour (apologies can’t remember her name) was amazing you, can see how much love she has for the animals. the volunteers all seem to be very happy and work relentlessly hard to keep the sanctuary up and running. I can’t recommend visiting more the staff and the animals greatly appreciate the visit. I wish I could take them all home with me as me and my partner fell in love with Butter the cat, as well as Dominic and a beautiful three legged ginger cat.
The negative reviews are honestly lying and seem to be upset that a charity has asked for money.

I took their tour and it was easily one of the best things I did in Lanta! The organization has saved, treated, rehabilitated more than 10,000 dogs and cats and helped many of them get adopted.
It was humbling to see the work that goes into maintaining their facilities and staff, and how they use the funds to build a safe space for animals to heal and trust humans again.
I’d definitely recommend doing the tour! They also have a cooking class — time for lime — and all its earnings are used to run the welfare. So you can do either of those to support the animals.

We got to see kitty city, the hospital, the doggie outdoor area and the rehabilitation station.
We cuddled lovely cats and dogs and while having a refreshment, we listened to the history of Lanta Animal Welfare and how it survived the tsunami and the COVID pandemic.
Thank you all so much for your work!

They have tightened what they offer here, which makes sense. You need to book in for a tour. First you meet in a welcome area with cats, where they tell you about their rescue centre. Then you get a tour of the facilities, where at a distance you can meet some of their dogs, view their kennels and see their medical centre. It’s great to see the work they do.
Edited to add I can’t help but laugh at the (minimal) negative reviews, complaining that they have to pay to see the animals. Of course you do - it’s a donation run charity.

This beach is known for its long stretch of yellow grayish sand surrounded by pine trees which make for a relaxing atmosphere. The beach offers clean and pleasant water with no rocks underwater, making it easy to access even during low tides. Pra-Ae Beach has fewer visitors compared to other beaches in the area, providing privacy and peace while enjoying your time at the beach.
This is a nice beach with a long stretch of beautiful sand. These photographs were taken in the early morning, so it's empty, and the place is all for you. It gets busy during the day, especially during sunset, where there are a lot of bars to sit from, and it enjoy the view. The demographic is mixed with young and old and families with kids. During the night, the beach is literally empty and quiet. There are massage places on the beach which is nice. It's a nice beach in my opinion to chill out.

One of the best beaches in Koh Lanta in terms of location and facilities around. It is a very long strip of yellow grayish sand with pine trees. The trees provide shadow and create relaxing ambience. Water is clean and pleasant, there are no rocks underwater like on other beaches, the entrance to the sea is deep enough even during low tides. Not so many people as on khlong dao beach, which makes it more private and peaceful. However beware of many jellyfish! I counted more than 7 in a few meters distance. My Thai friends told me these jellyfish are dangerous. But I also saw them on other Koh Lanta beaches. I guess, it depends on a season, or they were just brought by a storm.

My favorite beach on Koh Lanta. Long stretch of sand walkable for several kilometers. Great restaurants along the way (Lyms has excellent Pad Thai and Cashew chicken). Perfect sun sets as well. A must see beach if you are visiting the island. This type of place makes you never want to leave!

Phra Ae Beach, called also Long Beach, is maybe the best beach on the island. I have written more about it under "Long Beach Koh Lanta". :-)
The Emerald Pool is a mineral lake in a lush forest, which is a popular swimming spot. A wooden walking track leads visitors on an 800m - 1400m walk through the serene forest to reach the pool. The walk offers scenic views of waterfalls and the sounds of birds and insects, making it therapeutic for nature lovers. The natural pool has dark cyan coloured water that comes from trapped rocks beneath its surface. Swimmers are allowed to dip into the pool wearing swimsuits only.
absolutely beautiful place that really makes you appreciate nature. was pretty crowded but was still able to really appreciate the beauty of the pool. definitely a must see while you’re in krabi!
would definitely recommend trying the nature walk while you’re there — peaceful and you get to see a lot more!

Beautiful emerald pool with swimming facilities and hot streams.
You can enjoy a swim in this pool by yourself or with your family, kids also absolutely love it.
You can relax in the shade of the trees nearby. There are changing rooms, bathrooms and snack bars nearby.
We absolutely loved it and had a great time.
You should definitely make time to visit this place, you will not regret it.
Hope this helps 🙏

FREEDOM FOR CATS. The temperature of the water was around 30 degrees, it was not too hot like the other pools. I am 1.55 meters tall and my feet were touching the ground. There are toilets and showers (you can also use them as a closed dressing cabin). Swimming was very nice. They had locked 4 leopard cats in a cage. please leave them back

A beautiful, serene place worth a visit. We enjoyed a 800m - 1400m walk into the forest to witness the emerald pool. The walk itself was scenic and therapeutic; we witnessed calming waterfalls, sounds of birds and insects and nature. The emerald pool is all natural with beautiful dark cyan coloured water that comes from trapped rocks underneath the surface. You’re free to dip in the pool as long as you have a swimsuit. It’s recommended to visit earlier in the morning rather than later in the afternoon as it closes at 16:30 pm. Do note that there is a 20 baht entry fee for Thai adults, while foreigners will be charged more. Other than that the public sanctuary also has a bird observing attraction worth a visit.

If you see a scene like this, will you keep quiet without splash into the water? Just with 200 bath to enter this national park, you can see an emerald pool in conservation area. With a lot of wild plant and animal.
Natural atmosphere accompanied me through the trail to the emerald pool. Birds and forest song blends beautifully with the sound of the river around it. Various kind of flowing water, some are through shallow pools, deep and areas, also ripples from river flow contours.
Some parts beside the emerald pool are slippery because of moss. While the bottom of the pool is sandy which will become cloudy if there is too much turmoil in the water. The rest of the pool is clear with the nature temperature. Make sure you don't bring any food and all kinds of soap. It seems the prohibited is a management effort to maintain the naturalness and cleanliness of this area. Must see while you’re in Krabi!

Lovely nature. Well maintained. Only water allowed into the reserve, no snacks as they check the bags. Life guard and ambulance on duty. Wheel chair friendly and there is shuttle bus 20baht if you want to skip the 800m walk from the entrance.

We decided to drive to Emerald pool via motorbike which took us 1 hr 30 mins. As per our research this place gets very crowded mid morning so we decided to leave earlier and got to this gem at 9am. We were a bit skeptical in the beginning as we were 1 out of 3 small groups there. At one point we had the pool to ourselves. By the time we left(10am) we saw 3 huge tour busses and 5 vans full of tourist arriving. We were super relieved with our decision. So if you ever decide to go, make sure to arrive before 10am! We managed to visit all three pools (Crystal, Emerald, and the blue lagoon). Note that you can only swim in the Emerald pool. It was super clean and clear. I recommend to bring aqua shoes, mosquito spray as you’ll be walking through hungry mosquitoes! And of course a towel. Swimming is a must! The water was very refreshing on a hot day. Entrance fee has been increased to 400 baht for tourists. Please note that they don’t accept card and toilets are 5-10 baht.

400 baht entry + expensive transport for a ‘natural’ pool. In my opinion not worth the visit, if you have extra time and money it is not bad. The pools and area are really beautiful, but I can imagine that different spots show the same beauty for a different price. Nice to have seen, will not come back.

The Emerald Pool is like a hidden gem nestled in the heart of nature. The water is incredibly clear, and you can even see the colorful fish swimming beneath the surface. It's such a peaceful and serene place to relax and unwind. Don't forget to bring your swimsuit and enjoy a refreshing dip in the emerald waters. Trust me, you won't be disappointed! 🌿💦

a beautiful place where you can swim in a natural pool. The water has an emerald green color, hence the name Emerald Pool. The natural pool is surrounded by a lush jungle. Through the jungle run small streams that come together and the Emerald Pool is the wonderful result of this! Closes at 4:30pm. Better to visit emerald pool first then go to hot spring.

This was a fun experience for everybody. It was a nice walk and a nice place to visit. It was fun to swim there. The grounds are very well-maintained. Everything is nice and organized and the people were friendly. The scenery was beautiful. We had a great time and we would definitely return again. There are also vendors there you can get food and drinks. A very fun time for everyone. The water was very nice. The temperature was good and it was very clean.
I definitely recommend for people to take their families to this place. Go early and spend the whole day. There is no place to lock up your stuff. So leave your valuables in the car bring comfortable shoes and towels there are bathrooms and places to change your clothes . But you have things to see here. It’s a very nice tourist destination.

A wonderful quiet piece of Earth's paradise. The emerald pool is clean and well maintained. There aren't many tourists during Covid, and a beautiful walk through the forest leads you to the final location, which features a wonderful blue-colored pool. If you're tired of going to the beach, this is a must-see :)

400TB per adult which I feel is expensive for what it is.
The walk through the jungle was fine and the pool itself is lovely and great for a swim, and has some fish in there. We walked to the Blue Lagoon but for us it wasn't worth the walk, was a smaller blue pool of water that you can't swim in.
We went early in the morning and were the only one in the pool for some time which was nice.
Was nice to see the emerald pool but unsure if it's worth £20.

Stepping into emerald Pool Krabi is like crossing the threshold into a dream, a serene paradise that captivates the soul. The beauty of this place is almost surreal; your eyes will be dazzled by the splendor that surrounds you, embraced by the unspoiled arms of nature.
The natural pools are the star of the show, with water so crystal clear that you can see all the way to the bottom. It's a tranquil experience, a chance to connect with the earth in a way that's rare and precious.
From the lush greenery to the gentle ripple of the water, every aspect of Blue Pool Krabi sings a hymn of relaxation and wonder. I wholeheartedly recommend a visit to this extraordinary place; it's a journey into beauty that you won't soon forget.

There 3 natural pools. Crystal, Emerald and Blue. There are two paths. Better to take the nature trail which passes through the jungle. Out of these 3 pools you are allowed to swim in the Emerald pool only. My suggestion will be to see the Blue pool first and while coming down do swim in the Emerald pool.

Beautiful park with lots of well curated trails. The main areas then to be overwhelmed with tourists and large groups. The hike is a little longer than expected. It's not for the faint of heart. Many of the paths didn't have hand rail in place. This created a bit of a hazard, IMO. However, it also adds to the experience.

Half day Natural attraction if you can get up at 8 am reach there by 10 am if you are staying in Krabi. We rented a Scooty & came early on a weekday so the rush was less. The ride here is worth it. You will love the Coconut plantation & Rubber plantations on the way.
✅Emerald Pool is one of the many pools at the complex.
✅The Nature trails through the forest is a walk to remember
✅ Restuarants & Washrooms available
✅Fun while swimming at the clean Emerald Pool waters

When in Krabi, you have to come see this natural phenomenon at the Emerald Pool. It is actually the last stop and is not a loop, so it is quite some walking to get there, but it is worth it! You cannot swim at the Emerald Pool itself, but you can at the other natural pool near the entrance.
Highly recommended for a chill day out exploring!

One of the many touristy locations in Krabi, while the spot is good & well maintained its very crowded. Need to walk around 1 km from the entrance but the way through is pleasant. The only issue is it's far away from any other location & easily a half day tour. Unless you desperately want to tick your checklist it can be skipped

It's a beautiful place with crystal clear waters.
There are a few short nature trails. And you can also walk up to blue pool, in which you cannot swim.
Swimming in Emerald pool was very pleasant, and it is very picturesque.
That being said, I do not think that it is worth the entrance fee and the cost of the journey there.
If you love short nature walks and love looking at clear water, I can still say that it may be worth a visit. Go early as the crowd later in the day gets pretty crazy.
But if you're hesitant about it, I would say to give it a miss.

Nice place, there's a small stream of hot water, and a the same for cold water. The water is clear, but the staff is very restricting - no jumping (even when I held my kid and threw her), they also asked that the kids don't climb the trees... and I felt uncomfortable with them watching all the time.
Honestly, not worth the price of entry, in my opinion (400 adults, 200 kids). No outside food allowed.

A bit crowded but definitely worth the experience. Out of nowhere a butterfly came and landed on my chin while in the Emerald pool. The waters were clean and crystal clear. Walked to the blue pool which was ok but the walk through the jungle was what made the extra hike worth it. We enjoyed the experience.

we came 2 times in the morning at about 8-9 o'clock, the first time we met a family of several people, the second we were alone. after a hot waterfall, it is especially pleasant to dive into a cold river. besides the waterfall, there are several artificial pools with hotter water. complete relaxation of the mind and body. entrance for foreigners 200 baht, but believe me, a visit is worth every baht you'll spent!

Great and relaxing experience! The natural hotspring has formed a waterfall and few small natural pools where you can sit and enjoy the 40 - 45 degrees hot water and the natural "jacuzzi". Go there at around 10 - 10:30, during weekdays. Weekends are not the best due to the crowded area. Take some clothes and a towel for changing after bath. When you'll be out of the hot pools you'll need some iced drink to get cooled. There is a shopping area and you can sit and taste a fresh fruit iced shake. Enjoy! It worth all the the money and time spent there!

200 baht/person. There is one restaurant open at the food court by the gate and toilets. The place is ok, maintained, but can be filled with people. It is better to stay at one of the nearby hotels with direct private access to the hot springs (not Wareerak though).

BEAUTIFUL spot to relax and bathe in some warmth! There was an entry fee of course but very small. It’s about a 5 minute walk down to the stream which can be very slippery so be careful where you step! But the luxurious bathing holes are worth this trip!

The stream itself has too many visitors at once. When we visited, there were multiple tour vans full of tourists. The space is very limited in the stream. They do have large hot spring pools a short walk before you reach the stream. The large pools vary in temperature. The smallest pool has the highest temperature water. Pretty hot and you can only sit for a few minutes. Great to sit in and get a good stretch in. Great to warm up your muscles. I honestly would skip this place if you're not on a tour with multiple locations. Not very interesting if this is your only stop for tourism. Way to crowded and busy to truly enjoy nature and the experience.

When you charge 10 times the price to foreigners, then it must be really good, and quite frankly, it was very disappointing. There are both some walled pools and some pools with a lot of stones where the water from the river is stopped before it flows into the river. The rocks are very smooth and definitely not a place where I wanted to break my legs.
The changing facilities were a tacky house that might once have looked nice.

A Must visit place in Krabi.
This hot stream holds medicinal properties as it contains natural minerals and elements which is helpful for the body.
A 15-20 min hot bath is advisable as long exposure to hot water of about 50-60 degrees for more than 30min affects badly for the skin and body.
300meters walk from the ticket counter. This place is a hidden gem in Krabi.

A very peaceful peaceful dip in the hot springs. This place is in an enclosed resort I guess because before the hot spring i managed to get a massage for under 200 baht within the property on my walk towards the hot stream, and then took the best dip of my life with nature! 100% recommend this for an extremely peaceful afternoon. A cool spot to chill at if you absolutely love people in your face. Not worth the price but I did feel extremely relaxed after spending some time in the waterfall.

Maya Beach, nestled on the picturesque Phi Phi Islands in Thailand, is a tropical haven that captivates visitors with its stunning natural beauty. With its pristine white sands, crystal-clear waters, and dramatic limestone cliffs, this beach is a paradise that will leave you in awe. However, it's important to note that swimming in the water is restricted due to the presence of baby sharks, which can be seen as a drawback for some.
The moment you set foot on Maya Beach, you'll be greeted by a breathtaking panorama that seems straight out of a postcard. The turquoise waters gently caress the powdery white sands, creating a mesmerizing contrast against the backdrop of towering limestone cliffs. It's a sight that will take your breath away and leave you feeling like you've stepped into a tropical paradise.
While swimming in the water is restricted, you can still enjoy Maya Beach. You can lounge on the soft sands, soak up the sun, and take in the stunning views.
The restriction on swimming is due to the presence of baby sharks in the area. While this may disappoint some visitors who were hoping to take a dip in the crystal-clear waters, it's important to remember that this measure is in place to protect both the sharks and the visitors. It's a testament to the commitment to conservation and responsible tourism in the area.
Despite the restriction, Maya Beach still offers a unique and unforgettable experience. The beach is regulated to ensure the preservation of its natural beauty, and the controlled visitor numbers contribute to a peaceful and enjoyable atmosphere. The surrounding cliffs provide a stunning backdrop for photography enthusiasts, offering countless opportunities to capture the beauty of Maya Beach from different angles.
Visiting Maya Beach is a chance to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and immerse yourself in the tranquility of nature. The untouched beauty of the beach, combined with the breathtaking views and the sense of serenity, creates an experience that is truly rejuvenating for the soul.
In conclusion, Maya Beach is a tropical haven that enchants visitors with its natural beauty and serene atmosphere. While the restriction on swimming due to baby sharks may be seen as a drawback for some, it's important to appreciate the efforts made to protect the marine ecosystem. Whether you're lounging on the sands, or in the vibrant waters, or simply taking in the breathtaking views, Maya Beach offers a memorable experience that will leave you longing to return.

Maya Bay in Thailand is a breathtaking slice of paradise. The crystal-clear turquoise waters, pristine white sands, and towering limestone cliffs create a stunning landscape that captivates the senses. However, due to its popularity, the bay can get overcrowded with tourists, dampening the tranquil experience. To fully appreciate its beauty, it's best to visit early in the morning or during the off-peak season. Snorkeling in the vibrant marine life is a must, revealing an underwater wonderland. Despite the recent efforts to restore its natural beauty, some parts of the coral reef remain damaged. Maya Bay is a breathtaking slice of paradise nestled in Thailand's Phi Phi Islands, offering a mesmerizing blend of natural beauty and a dash of adventure. The moment you step onto the soft sands of Maya Bay, you're greeted by the crystal-clear turquoise waters that gently lap against the shore, creating a postcard-perfect scene that feels straight out of a dream.
The beach itself boasts some of the softest sands I've ever felt beneath my feet, making every step a delight. However, it's important to note that due to the presence of sharks, swimming in the waters of Maya Bay is restricted. While this may come as a disappointment to some, it adds a unique sense of intrigue and adventure to the experience.
One thing to keep in mind is the timing of your visit. Avoiding the peak hours, particularly around noon, is highly recommended. The beach tends to get crowded during this time, which can detract from the serene ambiance and limit your ability to fully enjoy the surroundings.
For those seeking a more intimate and tranquil experience, I suggest arriving early in the morning, around 7 am. Not only will you beat the crowds, but you may also be treated to a special sight – baby sharks gracefully gliding through the shallow waters. Witnessing these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience that adds an extra layer of magic to your visit.
Overall, Maya Bay is a must-visit destination for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike. With its stunning beauty, soft sands, and the occasional glimpse of marine life, it's a place that will leave you enchanted and longing to return. Just be sure to plan your visit wisely to make the most of this idyllic paradise.

Maya Bay has crystal clear waters, beautiful landscapes and picturesque views. It is well worth the visit!
Due to the damaged ecosystem, tourists are not permitted to enter the water for swimming, boating or any other activities. This is to protect the corals and baby sharks that have returned to the bay since it was closed to the public.
Callum Eyre — Google review
We arrived around 9 am with our tour, a strategic time to beat the crowds that arrives from 10 am onwards. This beach has one of the most stunning views, with crystal-clear water and exceptionally soft sand. By walking towards the right side of the beach you might be able to see some little sharks.
It's undeniably a must-see destination. Recently reopened after a closure of three and a half years, the place now operates with added restrictions. I believe these measures are essential in preserving this little paradise.

The beautiful Maya Bay. This one is very different from the other island tours that they offer in Phuket. I enjoyed the beach and I met new friends from the other countries!

Heaven on earth!
I’m glad that Maya bay today has been recovered from the tourists after being closed for quite a while. I remember visiting the place a decade ago with literally no spaces left on the beach as they’re full with tourists, long-tailed boats or even bigger ones like speed boats. Now there’s only a view of the turquoise water and the white sand for everyone to enjoy. (Saw on the news, it was a big success for them to finally witness a shiver of sharks visiting the area lately.)
Maya did soothe my heart. It was a fantastic experience.

Only Giving description isn’t enough to make you understand how beautiful it is, U have to come here to feel it’s real beauty, I must say one of most beautiful 🏖️ beach in the world, every one should keep it in his bucket list .
Phi Phi Viewpoint 3 is a popular spot on the island, offering breathtaking panoramic views and a charming café. The ascent to the viewpoint is a challenging but rewarding 20-30 minute hike up steep steps and narrow paths. Visitors are advised to take breaks and stay hydrated during the climb. Once at the top, hikers are treated to stunning vistas of Phi Phi Don's lush mountains.
Pretty solid as far as viewpoints go. I navigated here by just following the path on Google maps, you have to go past a few dodgy-looking dogs and a goat but just keep faith with the map and it’s all good. There are loads of helpful signs too. 20 baht entrance fee which she takes off a drink if you buy one.
Andrew Maddox — Google review
Very beautiful viewpoint. It's definitely worth going up and taking a look. In my opinion, the view from the 2nd viewpoint is slightly better. I would recommend taking a bottle of water with you, especially on warm days. It could be exhausting.
MR X — Google review
Great view point with an incredible view of the sunset.
It’s a very popular spot, especially during sunset, but there is plenty of room for everyone with some seating area as well.
There is a small entry fee, I think it was 50 baht, and they also sold cold drinks as well (no alcohol).
The walk is steep but very doable if you have even mild fitness.
The way down at night, there are tons of bugs. They didn’t appear to be biting, just present with the lights along the path.
We ended up doing all 4 in one day, with 1, 2, and 3 all in line.
Alan Irvine — Google review
We started our walk at the village, the road to the 3 viewpoints was easy to find, you must be in a good shape to end it to the bay. The viewpoints are absolutely worth the exercise, at every of the 3 points the scenery is tremendous, especially number 3 is top
marc van looy — Google review
To reach Viewpoint 3 you have to climb viewpoints 1 and 2.. which is doable and not that intensive. maybe the stairs are hard for some and steep in places. The last leg is up the mountain thru the forrest and quite enjoyable. Reaching the top you get welcomed by a magnificent view of the whole island and beyond. A monkey lives here!
Impulz34 — Google review
Beautiful view on top! You can see the entire island! 🏝️
Beware you are charged 50 baht each person to be able to start the hike even for viewpoint 1 and 2. Cause it’s private property apparently.
Enjoy!

It took us a while to go all the way up but i cant express how beautiful it was. It was worth it. The entry fee is 30 Thai Baht per person.

Wonderful place to see the island from the top.
It was my second time in Phi Phi and I couldn't leave not seeing this place from the top again.
(you can never get bored seeing a great view like that!)
The only point that drops down a bit is the access information...
There is faster and easier access to stars straight to the top having a break in viewpoint 2, which is also astonishing, making the whole experience more enjoyable.
Otherwise, you would have to prepare yourself for a long walk on a huge hill around the island to get to your final destination.
In any situation, anybody wouldn't have a word to say after facing the amazing view on top of the mountain.

WOW, what a WALK! We only wanted to go to view point 1, but ended up at view point 3! Signage wasn't fantastic for view point 1, we followed our map, but went in head first first the best view I suppose! Two young teens in tow, didn't complain, considering it was sweltering hot, manage to WALK the 1 hr up the hillside over many terrains! The view was pretty Amazing at the top though! 45 mins to get down, cooled off with a beer and kids dipped in the bay water!

Great views over Phi Phi! From viewpoint 2 to 3 its a bit of a trek through the jungle, I did it in flip flops but would have preffered trainers. No one was there at point 3 apart from a few monkeys in the tree that left me alone. Felt like you were in the top of the trees.
Josh Vincent — Google review
The view is superb from here, you can see the whole island and the viewing platform can fit a bunch of people. The main disadvantage is the way up there. It is a steep climb, but the main issue is that it is littered all the way up, which takes a lot away from the beauty of the island.
You have to pay 20 THB to enter but I was there really early in the morning so no one was there to pay it to.
Bálint Kézér — Google review
I recommend a hike to get here - we used Wikiloc and had a very nice day hiking all around phi phi.
As per the viewpoint - very well taken care of. You will pay 20baht (if I’m not mistaken) to get in, and you can buy smoothies and ice cream (I recommend the mango smoothie 😍). They have some hammocks you can rest in. The view of phi phi is great! Beware of the monkeys while you are there and do not feed them. You can fly drones here as well.
Camila Menezes — Google review
Probably the best viewpoint. You can reach it in 20 minutes from the main harbour or in 1 1 hour from the village where SAii Resort is located. You just need to pay 20 baht since the viewpoint is a private property made avaible from a local family. The view is incredible, anche you can enjoy it by laying on a hammock or by sitting on the many chairs avaible. You can also buy some snacks or a coconut to drink.
Giacomo Galantis — Google review
great views worth going at sunset. about 40 min walk up to top which can be tough in heat.
the path from saii resort is quite an off road path. dont recommend going back at night , better to walk down to tomsai after sunset and get a boat taxi back.
20 bhat enterence fee and theres food drink and toilets
Max Nath — Google review
do take the extra walk to view point 3, it's worth the extra money and effort.
I am in no way in great shape and found it quite easy, I also went further and took the trail to lamenting bay and said phi phi village resort, also a great experience you just need some good shoes.
the jungle walk donest need a guide just follow the same trail
Jamie Lucas — Google review
The elevated vantage point offers a picturesque panorama. The initial segment of the pathway is well-paved, gradually transitioning into a more robust composition of hardened clay and gravel. This location proves to be an excellent choice for an evening stroll, providing an optimal vantage point to witness the sunset.
James Loveland — Google review
The view is stunning!! It’s better to go early in the morning or at the noon cause u have to climb many steps to get there and also it’s not so crowded.
Koni Terror — Google review
Nobody goes to viewpoint 3. I’ve been to koh phi phi 3 times before and never realized there was a 3rd viewpoint until my 4th visit to Koh Phi Phi. It’s well worth a trip to get to the third viewpoint. Only about 13 more minutes of hiking up and adds such a unique view to the island. You can get fresh beverages up there
I’ve got more amazing spots you can check out on my YouTube channel World Nomac

Monkey Beach in Krabi is a popular destination for travelers seeking an encounter with playful monkeys. During a cruise trip, visitors are greeted by numerous small monkeys as they approach the beach. While it's not advisable to get too close, the monkeys often display their curiosity by jumping onto the boats. This unique experience allows tourists to interact with these friendly creatures in their natural habitat, making Monkey Beach a must-visit spot for animal lovers and adventure seekers alike.
One of the Amazing beaches on Phi phi island. We took a kayak to reach there it was almost evening. The white sand make the beach look more beautiful. Unfortunately i did not see any monkeys maybe it was evening thats why. I swim for a while there but the rocks are dangerous i would recommend to be careful while swimming. Over all amazing experience. The sunset was incredible.
Shahid Khan — Google review
It's a wonderful beach just like heaven for the monkeys live there.
The Beach is clean but a little crowded.
If you were lucky you could see monkeys.
Some days they won't come to the Beach it depends on their moods.
The day we arrived there after the Bamboo Island, many pregnant monkeys were walking around, and even one of them delivered a baby.
Be careful about your phone, sunglasses, or other things you have due to monkeys 🐒.
Eli — Google review
Very beautiful beach.
Warm clear waters. The colour of this water has to be seen to be believed. Shell and coral covered beach so footwear is advised.
I avoided the hawkers with monkeys.
Kaz Barlow — Google review
Beautiful beach but beware of the monkeys! They will try to get into your bag & try to attack you. When they realize you have no food, they will leave your bag alone. If they run at you, go into the water. The guys on the beach helped to keep them away after they ran at me
They are cute but not scared of people. Anyway, great spot to kayak to
B T — Google review
one of the best beaches I’ve ever seen, very clean water, no trash on the beach and not too crowded even when there are many tourists. It’s not reachable by walking so the only way to get there is by kayaking or by boat. we did the kayaking for two hours and it’s was worth it and we had plenty of time. for two hours kayaking in two we spent 300 baht
Silvia Miotto — Google review
This beach has monkeys, which you definitely should not feed or approach. There are some great shots to be had. Our visit was brief but then there wasn't really enough to see or do.
Roger Foss — Google review
A small gathering of monkeys showed up shortly after we arrived by kayak. Having read the reviews, I made sure to secure my belongings inside the kayak. Well, everything except my unopened bottom of water. The alpha monkey decided he wanted the water, and I let him have it.
Watching some of the other tourist, I can see why some people get bitten. We have them their space and had no problems with them showing aggression.
It’s a nice shaded little beach with some limited snorkeling a short distance off the beach.
Shawn Parker — Google review
It's a nicely located beach, with stunning views. The monkeys seem spoilt by the tourists, which is not a surprise. However, you should bear in mind that it means you need to keep an eye on your belongings at all times, as they may try to steal them, and they're cheeky! 😉 A bit on the crowded side when we visited.
Michał Klimuntowski — Google review
All I can say is that it's a paradise for Monkeys. Pack a few bananas of you are visiting this beach. Beware, keep you phone & Glasses in close wrap. Have fun & see a lot of international tourists feeding Monkeys, there could be a few fun moments when Monkeys show their animal instincts, but all in all its a good 10 min stop.
MANISH KUMAR — Google review
Unique experience for us. We were so impressed with the water being so crystal clear and seeing the monkeys in their environment. However very sad at the same time to notice how much trash tourists can leave behind and the way they disrespect these poor animals.
Sandra Achim — Google review
This is part of Phi phi Islands tour typically after Bamboo Island which has a beautiful beach and lot of monkeys. Maintain distance as they tend to bite if you get too near.
Anil Suresh Nayak — Google review
A beautiful island to start with, coming along with monkeys all over. These monkeys don't seem harmful at all just expect humans to feed them with eatables. Beware if you have anything in your hand that's gonna be a target for the monkeys to come and snatch them. Overall it's an amazing beach with corals and crystal clear blue waters.
Technical Dhruv — Google review
A beautiful beach with soft sand and monkeys roaming around. As with other Southeast Asian monkeys, these are notorious for taking things that do not belong to them, so make sure you conceal items of value.
My impression of Monkey Beach was probably tainted as it was our very first stop after a 1.5 hour speedboat ride to Koh Phi Phi, and I was definitely not feeling the greatest. We spent maybe 15 minutes here before departing so it was a short but pleasant enough visit to this island.
Andy Ng — Google review
It's a good and not too difficult self-kayaking trip for physically capable people without any experience. The beach itself is beautiful and there are definitely some monkeys there (keep your things in your bags and in your hands =) However, I don't believe it's possible to swim right by the beach due to a very rocky bottom. You need to go on a boat further from the beach where it's deeper.
Bamboo Island, also known as Ko Phai or Koh Pai, is a stunning paradise located in the Mu Ko Phai archipelago off the eastern coast of Thailand. This small uninhabited island boasts pristine beaches, clear waters perfect for snorkeling, and a tiny bar for visitors to enjoy. The translucent waters reveal beautiful reefs along the coast, making it an ideal spot for swimming and underwater exploration.
You can buy the trip on the same day. It is advised to go with more people because the taxi price is the same. Make sure to bargain the price. We booked 3 hours and it felt little time at the island, because there is a long travel time. I think 4 hours would’ve been better.
You have to pay 400 baht per person to get to the beach, which we found out before leaving the boat. Our driver collected the fee but to be honest im not sure if he payed the fee or just kept the money. There is a counter in the island to pay, but no one seems to care if you dont.
The beach is very clean and spacious. Beware of the rush hour with all the big tour boats carrying lots lf people.
The sun was very strong they day we went. There are trees that provide shadow but are far away from the water.
The sea was not very calm and lots of waves. We couldnt use our snorkels. But other days might be better.
Bring your own food and water because there are no stores available.
Bottomline, its a great place to spend a few hours.
Nicolas Muttoni — Google review
Wonderful and beautiful island. But same as we were, you have to set your expectations right when you are a tourist. You will most likely be there with lots of other tourists and their guides and speedboats. Nevertheless is this place an absolute dream of a tropical island.
Restrooms are available, pretty disgusting though.

Bamboo Island is a true paradise! With crystal clear waters and soft white sand, it's perfect for swimming and snorkeling. The lush greenery adds to its serene ambiance, offering a peaceful escape from the outside world. Whether you seek adventure or relaxation, this island captivates with its natural beauty and tranquil surroundings, making it an unforgettable destination for any traveler.

Pretty tiny island known for its sandy beach and swimming. Included in a lot of Phi phi Island tours, it's a nice stop.
It does get very crowded and there aren't that many fish to see when snorkelling. Worth a 30-60 min stop max.

There is nothing on the island. But the water is very clear and beautiful. If you come prepare food, that's good.

Booked my tour with Simba Sea Trips and the experience was simply magical. From Maya Bay to Bamboo Island, little people in sight with the sea view all to ourselves. If you ever visit here, bear in mind to love & respect the island by not polluting the sea or take anything that belongs to nature to preserve this amazing view to all other visitors :)

We had a group tour and this was one of the last attractions. The water is so warm, but the sand was not as I imagined. It was coral sand, which is not so tiny and pleasant as white sand, but still, I recommend you to visit this place.
We also shot the video that showed what else you can find on this island, and if you in general interested to see the main attractions in Phi Phi but still doubting or choosing where to go first, then type the title on YouTube:
"You better learn THIS before going to Phi Phi Island Tour"

Absolute Paradise, one of the nicest beaches in Krabi & is probably included in different island tours. The waves are minimal & water is crystal clear. There is a restroom which can be used for a small few. The sand is soft & similar to most southern Thai beaches.

This island is very clean and has crystal clear water. The islands is big but uninhabited. There are no shops here. So you can relax and swim peacefully here. this island has the clearest water of Thailand in my opinion, it’s a tropical island with white thin sand and blue and cristalline water. Temperature around 30degrees. Many people stop where their boat drop them off but you should walk around and go to the last beach of the island, it’s incredible
Silvia Miotto — Google review
This should be the last venue for your island hopping trip.
It's a less crowded island so you can enjoy more for your water activities here.
Found this spot near one end of the beach because it's shady and you can spend your time lying down and listen to the sea wave.
There are many tourist friendly hermit crab for you to take photos as well.

Beautiful island to visit, recommend you include this as a stop on whatever island tour you are doing. Sandy beaches with jaw-dropping views of the sea & surrounding islands. Coral reefs are so close to the shore, avid snorkellers will run wild here, though watch out for the jellyfish! Swimming near the shore went well, though deeper in the reefs the stings can come out of nowhere!

There is a place near the shore where a flag is a sign of permission to swim (A red flag means not allowed to swim and a Yellow flag means tides of the sea are okay to swim )
There is a bar in the middle of the island where you could buy drinks and a restroom nearby

Useful recommendation: if you come here as part of a tour, ask the boat driver to leave you here for more than 1 hour. It's worth it more than Maya Bay (where you can't even swim)! The water is great for snorkeling and the beach is amazing!

Ko Poda is a picturesque island with stunning white-sand beaches and crystal-clear turquoise waters, making it a perfect spot for activities like snorkeling. It's part of the Four Islands Tour, which also includes Ko Thab, Ko Kai, and Phra Nang Cave Beach. The highlight of this tour is Phra Nang Cave Beach, where visitors can walk to the end of the beach to reach the famous cave.

Koh Poda is a small yet beautiful limestone island off the western coast of Thailand, known for its smooth sandy beaches and clear turquoise sea waters.
Despite its small size, it has become a popular tourist destination due to its natural beauty and water sports activities.
You can explore the island on foot, enjoying the sugary soft sand and palm trees surrounding it.
It is home to a beautiful coral reef, a limestone cliff, and calm waters, making it an ideal spot for swimming, snorkeling, and kayaking.
It is accessible by boat from nearby beaches of Ao Nang and Rai Leh, with prices varying based on facilities and comfort.
The best time to visit is in the morning, preferably by 9:00 or 10:00 am, as the boat facility closes around 4pm, providing less crowd and more open space for relaxation.
It is part of an extensive group of largely uninhabited and semi-habited islands along the western coast of Thailand.
Koh Poda Island is a secluded island with beautiful scenery and a lack of fancy bars, restaurants, or beach resorts.
You can enjoy activities like snorkeling but must arrange equipment from tour companies or bring their own.
There is only a small bar and no restaurants, so you must make arrangements for lunch.
Due to the abundance of monkeys, it is important to protect your belongings.
For visiting : you can make planning in the morning, carrying valuables in a waterproof backpack, paying the 400 Baht entrance fee to park rangers, and packing lunch as there are no restaurants.
Jubaida Sheikh — Google review
Highly recommend exploring the entire island, as it hosts multiple gorgeous sandy beaches all hosting incredible views of the many tropical islands that surround it. This place is truly a paradise and extremely photogenic, even walking through the interior through the palm tree forests rather than around the edge of the beach is a beautiful walk. Definitely spend as much time here as you can.
Usually tours will visit this island, as well as the nearby sandbar islands if coming from Krabi, and coming from Phuket they might also include a visit to Krabi and Railay Beach (or it’s sister beach Phra Nang Beach).
Zachary Kay — Google review
The lack of information from the tour guide made us only focus on distributing lunch on this island without knowing if the object that must be visited on Koh Poda is its iconic rock. Again, we noticed it when we left the island.

You can reach easily Poda island from Aonang beach by boat, return ticket is 300 bhat and national park fee is additional 200. You will just have to wait while at least 6 people come for the same ride but in a season it is very quick, it is 15 minutes ride from Aonang. Better go there earlier in the morning beacause the last return is at 4pm. The same boat will wait for you for the way back. You will be taken at the front beach just for individual trips and probbably won't be busy. The beach at the other side is for islands excursions and is crowded with tours if you come after 12 pm. But you can walk there to buy drinks or ice cream, there is a park as well. You can ask your boat driver to take you at the secret beach for some fee you give him extra. It is beautiful little spot at the edge of Poda island good for snorkling, you will see a lot of fish there.

Awesome island with amazing beaches. If staying in Ao Nang recommend getting long boat taxi over and spending the day. For best/most secluded beach. Walk left from where boats drop you off and around the bend and walk as far as you can. Best beach we saw om our trip.
Phra Nang Cave Beach, also known as Phra Nang Beach, is a breathtaking cove that has been recognized as one of the world's most beautiful beaches. It features a picturesque sandy shoreline adorned with sea caves and towering limestone formations. The beach is famous for its sacred cave, which holds significance in local legends about enduring love. Additionally, it is a popular destination for rock climbing enthusiasts, offering training courses and thrilling experiences.
One of my bucket list to be here. You need to come by the boat only. And here we come by our yacht. So we don't need to pay for expensive food and dri K at the resort 😬
Still impressed with the beauty of sunset time here.

Hands down, One of the best beaches I have ever experienced. Photos doesnt do justice. Have to experience it for real. About 15-20 mins walk from Sand Sea Resort, but mostly are shaded areas
If you are sun or photo-sensitive (especially for kids), can swim to the area nearby the cliff/cave to avoid being fried up. Otherwise if you enjoy the sun, can always swim at the open area:
Pristine, crystal clear waters and finely granulated sands which are friendly to your feet. Got schools of fish too, small and large. Ideal for snorkelling.
Please do not miss this beach if you are ever in Railay. Wonderful experience.

We rented two kayaks at Railay beach and kayaked over here. It was an incredible experience, crystal clear waters and the massive rock formations towering over the surface of the sea.
We also kayaked through a couple of caves and ended up at the beach.
This is one of the most spectacular spots in Thailand and I highly recommend visiting if you have time.

Amazing beach! The sea is transparent and clean. This shames Railay west beach where the majority of the tourist head....

Safe to swim with kids!
Gorgeous, calm, and so safe to take your little ones to. Gets quite crowded during the holidays, but not overcrowded. Great vibe, Super relaxing. Must visit with a group!

Spectacular and beautiful beach, cave and rocky Island. It is a very busy place, so I recommend to go during the morning. Be careful if you go into the water because many sharp rocks. From there, take the walking trail that bring you on the others side.. you won’t regret it
Bleuet T — Google review
This beach was the best one in the area. I recommend going there and spend the whole day. The reason for that is that the water goes down during the day until late afternoon. You will see how the beach changes through the day and it’s beautiful. The way to the beach is quite easy and there is a lot of infrastructure for tourists, including bathrooms, kayaking, restaurants and a kiosk. You will be able to walk to the beach in front after 15:00 ~ 16:00 pm.
Deni Web — Google review
One of the most beautiful beaches in the world. I love how this beach is secluded and more difficult to get to, which prevents crowds. The limestone cliffs surrounding this beach make it a truly surreal and amazing experience. Highly recommend!
Blake Cronyn — Google review
Awesome beach. Beautiful fine sand and lovely water. Sheltered in a bay so no big waves really to be concerned about and a great place to either sunbathe or swim. Sunsets are beautiful. Well worth the visit.
Andrew “Andy” Davis — Google review
Beautiful. A must see if in the region. We took a kayak for 200THB per hour, and drifted round the mountains through to the beach from Railay. We'll worth visiting.
The Travelling Owl — Google review
I've been staying on Railay for many years and this is always my favourite beach. The cliffs at each end are stunning as well as the clear blue waters. It's great here because there are no longer boats allowed in the area so it's a quiet tranquil beach. Unfortunately there are no food and beverage establishments on this beach so best bring your own drink and snacks. Of the rite aid beaches this one is the best during low tide because the water is still deep enough to swim near the beach.
Joey B — Google review
If you bring your own drinks and food, I highly recommend this beach over the other two options. It offers a more serene and stunning environment, with fewer crowds. Depending on the time of day, you can enjoy walking or swimming to the nearby little island. Additionally, there are charming caves to explore, adding to the overall adventure. However, it is important to exercise caution with the monkeys. When food is left unattended, they can become quite bold and aggressive. It's best to keep a distance and not engage with them as they prioritize their quest for food.
Mo Jongenburger — Google review
The most beautiful beach I have ever been on. Water was warm. Fish were nibbling me. A swimming crab came and sat on my arm for a rest. I could sit there for hours just looking at the sea stacks and cliffs
Neale Simpkins — Google review
Highly recommended when you are at Railey.
Do not miss out on this beach when you are at Railey. Beautiful and clean beach even though there are quite a lot of people. If you want a quieter beach spot to rest, you have to brave the wave to walk to another side of the beach. Not too hard to walk over, but when the waves are strong it will be a little difficult.
Best spot to watch sunset as well.
Jennie Chan — Google review
Probably the most beautiful beach I have had the pleasure of walking on. The water is warm and clear and calm. Unlike other beaches in the area it is swimmable even at low tide It's almost deserted before 10:00 and after 18:00. No boats!
Bill Quarre — Google review
Beautiful beach but sometimes a little bit crowded!
Fantastic nature, climbing rocks and clear water 😍
Chris Z — Google review
It was one of the most beautiful beaches I have been to. We were on our Four Island trip and our ultimate destination was Phra Nang beach. The Cave beach is surrounded by hills in a remote island on Gulf of Thailand. The place was secluded, quaint and peaceful. We also watched the sunset from there. The experience was marvelous.
Piuli Basu Roy Chowdhury — Google review
Less than 10 minutes away from Railay Beach via a cute path, where, if lucky, you might spot monkeys climbing trees and walls.
The landscape is breathtaking, featuring a long sandy beach. I recommend walking and settling towards the middle or end for a more serene atmosphere with fewer people around. There are plenty of spots to capture, and while you're there, you can also explore the Princess Cave at the entrance, although in my opinion it might not be particularly special.
Alain Bart — Google review
Came here twice. Very clear water & good for snorkeling. You can see fish & corals if you choose the right spots. Can walk to the cliff in the sea on low tide and see a lot of corals.
Aris Pull — Google review
Phra Nang Beach is no more than 800 meters long. The beach is beautifully situated. At high tide it becomes quite narrow, especially in the middle part. The sand on the beach is very fine. Conditions for swimming are very good (snorkeling is good). "Long boats" are parked mainly in the middle part of the beach. In high season the beach is very crowded. Paid showers and toilets are available at the entrance to the beach, close to the Princess Cave.
In my opinion, Phra Nang Beach is a nice beach, worth visiting. Tourists who have not seen other beaches in Thailand will be delighted with it.
Mariusz Malec — Google review
Phra Nang Cave Beach is absolutely beautiful! The clear blue waters, soft sandy beaches, and impressive cliffs make for a picturesque scene.
Railay Beach, accessible only by boat, is a stunning peninsula known for its towering limestone cliffs and picturesque beaches. It's a popular destination for rock climbing and diving enthusiasts. The area offers a range of activities such as island hopping on longtail boats to nearby famous islands like James Bond Island and Maya Bay. Visitors can also explore the Krabi Fossilized Shellfish Cemetery, one of only three in the world, to see millions of years old fossils.
Very nice beach with a lot of tourists while the daytime. Try to be early or late there. A boat trip from the city costs 200 baht for one person. I can recommend the sunset there!

Very beautiful.
Bit overcrowded & over-expensive / But everyone is very nice.
The eastern side with cheaper accommodation doesn’t have a great beach, is kind of dirty with trash & has giant jellyfish.
Phra Nang beach, a 20 min walk is very pretty.
Everything is walkable - there’s no roads, it’s just a path from one end to the other. Many restaurants - selling from healthy food, coffee, weed & mushrooms (be aware there’s a lot on the island!), bars & resorts.
100 (x2) baht trail boat from Ao Nang (ask for return ticket also) - if not you can just pay the guy when you leave.
Beware of monkeys! They will steal your food and aren’t afraid to do it.
Gabriel Boivin — Google review
Railay beach used to have a reputation as a hippie enclave and you can still feel some of that history in the beach community.
Beautiful sunset view, adventurous ride in and out, monkeys, caves, and climbing.
A great beach for your more adventurous travelers.
Duncan Michael MacVean — Google review
Beautiful place but you have to block out the hoards of people and garbage piled up all over the beach and resort areas. The trash was really appalling. Really I’d give this place 3.5 stars.
Pros: we loved the lagoon hike and it’s definitely challenging! We enjoyed the epic sci-fi looking “floating” islands and swimming at the beach. I would have enjoyed rock climbing if I had time. The caves are quite nice too. The giant pile of phallic statues is hilarious. We took a boat to Ao Nang and rented a Moped and drove an hour and a half to emerald pool which was a very fun day.
Kelli Jean — Google review
Stunning beach with 2 parts to explore. You can see monkeys so hold on to your belongings! Great place to sunbathe, find shells and also get food. Lovely little street with small food places and shops. The other side of the island has a beach with caves and amazing rock formations where you can do rock climbing. Fun boat ride to the beach too!
Chloe — Google review
Rare mixture of cliffs and caves along beautiful beaches. So called east beach is in very bad shape though. Carribbean style walking street and bars next to fancy hotels. Reptiles and monkeys free bonus.😅

Very nice beach, full of restaurants and bars. Good vegeterian and vegan choices, you can arrive only by boat and the last boat is 5.30pm
Ludovica Andreotti — Google review
Beautiful beach and wish we’d spent longer here! Definitely worth going for the sunsets and the music playing at the bars really fits the vibe! The only thing to be careful of are the men who take you on the boats as a group of us got ripped off. We were told after 7pm there is a extra fee so we asked to leave at 6:50pm and they refused unless we paid the fee even though most of us didn’t have cash! It got very spiteful so just bare this in mind.

First time here and we walked till the other end and found tew lay bar
You could tour most of the places in a days but still recommend to stay overnight here to get the night and peaceful beach views. Last boat to leave Railay beach is 6pm. Don’t miss you boat.
The diamond cave would need some fee to enter.
You will need to climb the cliff for Another viewpoint and lagoon.
Towards the other end, you will find Princess cave and swimming areas. The command toilet will need to pay for a fee for usage.

Overall it’s worth checking out if you have time. 200baht for the boat across, stunning scenery along the way.
Lots of restaurants, bars and dispensaries here. Lots of monkeys be aware don’t miss the cut off time if it’s just a day trip.
Absolutely stunning place, they have a pier on the opposite side we come during low tide it was ok.
Definitely worth a trip over

If you come to Krabi must visit Railay Beach. We take the long tail boat from Ao Nang to Railay. 100🐷 per person one way. Many shop and restaurant There. Also the view point and the lagoon on the top. A little hard to climb up but worth to try. Don't forget to bring sports shoes with you.

It is the most beautiful beach I've ever been to, and there are quite a lot of tourists. Although, it is a private beach, and you need to visit over there by speed boat or ship only.

You can buy ticket ferry to visit here , very beautiful, many restaurants, bars but too crowded tourists you can do snorkeling here and see some baby sharks if you are lucky

This is probably the most iconic beach in this part of Thailand. Easy and cheap to get to by boat and definitely well worth the visit.
The area is extensive and there are plenty of restaurants catering to all tastes and budgets.
I would highly recommend hiring kayaks and taking them out in the ocean to explore the nearby caves and stunning rock formations. There are also rock climbing opportunities on the island.

One of the best trips we did. A short boat ride from Ao Nang. Lots to do. Kayaking was wonderful. Lots to explore and many other activities to keep you happy.

One of my favorite places to visit when I’m in Krabi, Thailand. Such a beautiful secluded spot with two amazing beaches lined with limestone cliffs. Lots of rock climbing also available here as well but I just love the avatar like feel this place has.
Chris Ortega — Google review
Beautiful place but be careful with mafia type agencies, selling all included private transport then when off the beach and in Krabi they put you on shared minibuses! Having being caught out our family of 5 paid a lot of money to find shared transport which took over double the time. Get your receipt written in English not Thai!

Nice beach, very touristy though. The beach was clean. If you want to swim with less people in the water, go in the morning.

Best time is to go there is sunset. You can book resort and stay for overnight, otherwise you can take private boats and visit there.
Dhiral Kaniya — Google review
Second time going to this beach, first time being in 2015. Didn't change much, except more people going there, but still not too crowded. The beach there is really nice, water is clear and warm. You can reach Railay Beach by taking a tail boat from Ao Nang Beach. Recommended
Philippe Lefevre — Google review
Busy, noisy but visually it was beautiful.
It’s a must do visit for Krabi visitors and we went to see it (like everyone else). It looked very stunning as a photo opportunity because it is in a cove and has the high cliffs.
Railay beach felt more of a tourist resort (granted we were tourists) and less Thai authentic than some other areas we have visited.
I wouldn’t go back if I stayed in this area again.
Oli Watherston — Google review
Glad we made the decision to stay at a resort on this beach. The view is stunning, surrounded by amazing scenery. Mornings are especially beautiful with a tranquil atmosphere—no people or boats around. Even during the day and sunset, it wasn’t as crowded as we anticipated. The walking street is very, lined with numerous shops and restaurants. Hopefully, we’ll be back soon!

Beautiful as ever but be aware there is a jellyfish plague ongoing all over Krabi beaches. People do currently not swim. Even though we didn’t find any yet there are deadly boxed jellyfish around. Be extremely careful.

This is such a beautiful beach! Soaking the sun, enjoying sun bathing and rock climbing are the best! Please do not miss this place.
Ao Nang Beach is a bustling and popular destination in Krabi province, known for its scenic views of mountains and boats on the horizon. Once a fishing village, it now offers numerous restaurants, bars, and accommodations to suit every budget. The 1km-long stretch of soft sand is lined with colorful longtail boats and overlooked by famous limestone cliffs, making it an Instagram-worthy paradise. Visitors can enjoy activities such as rock climbing, kayaking, spa treatments, or simply relaxing in hammocks.
Very nice beach off the small town but still very close.
Richard Borgstr?m — Google review
The landscape is amazing but unfortunately there are roaring long boats all the time that keep going back and forth emitting very nasty smocks 💨
The water usually is nice and clean, very shallow and calm. Very good for sunset 🌅
I don't advise to go swimming that much since long boat risk to run over you 🥲 ... also not good for snorkelling 🤿

One can witness long tail boats over here. It may be difficult to swim in this beach which is not surrounded by long tail boats
Normally this is the place as the base for phi phi Island tours. Apart from that , one can see beautiful sunsets and fire shows held almost every day

The beach is nice. Although you do not have a lot of space to lie if it is high tide. The water is lovely and I love the waves. The beach is not soft sand but you still can walk with bare feet

Beautiful beach of Krabi nearer to the market and lots of hotels and resorts. The beach is long, very picturesque and one can spend a lot of time here with family. The waves are also good you can view lots of long tail boats around the place. Lots of people here on weekends and also during evening there is a fire show done by locals which was good to watch. Beautiful beach where you can take amazing pictures.

Ao Nang beach is a picturesque paradise, boasting stunning views that captivate the soul. The combination of natural beauty and the bustling market creates an unforgettable atmosphere that truly defines the charm of Ao Nang.

A nice beach to sit and enjoy the evening. The beach is long and clean. It's sandy beach. The sea is beautiful here. There are many shops and restaurants nearby. The sunset is very beautiful on this beach. This beach is not as heavily commercialized as some of the other beaches. Hence, a good place to spend a quiet evening!

Great beach ⛱️ with awesome night market ❤️ at walking distance. At beach there is a free fire 🔥 show, you can tip as per your wish at the end of the show to the artists. Long boats 🚢 are available if you want a tour from here. Also there are several tours like 7 island tour etc. which you can book from beach side shops. Sea 🌊 shore is good for kids also as slope is very slow. Several restaurants with multiple cuisines like thai, mexican indian etc. are at walking distance. So many hotels are available nearby beacah itself. Cannabis shops are also at the beach side walkway if you want to go High 🤸.
Overall wonderful experience ✨️ 🥰😍🤩😘.

A very nice beach, with beautiful surroundings. But there are not so nice things too: the sewage water which in two places directly flows in the sea. For this reason I think it’s better to swim on Railay beach.

Ao Nang is simply stunning and it was even more so when we visited just around Christmas 2021. Hardly had any visitors/tourists and we pretty much had the entire beach to ourselves.

Its quite long beach and the main point for watching the sunset, walk, sit and relax, etc. It’s also where all taxi boats run from, so I don’t find the beach and the water clean enough. But the rock formations and the view to the other islands is beautiful.

Ao Nang Beach is a picturesque destination that has earned a solid 4-star rating from me.
The beach's scenic beauty is truly captivating, with its soft sands and crystal-clear waters creating a mesmerizing backdrop for visitors to enjoy. The cleanliness of the beach is commendable, making it a pleasant environment for all to relish.
While the beach is undoubtedly a popular spot, it can get quite busy, especially during peak times. This may not be the best choice for those seeking a quiet and secluded spot for relaxation and sunbathing. However, it's perfect for a quick dip or a leisurely walk along the shoreline with friends.
One of the highlights of Ao Nang Beach is its stunning sunsets, providing a magnificent view that is a must-see for any visitor. Additionally, the beach comes alive in the evenings with various activities and entertainment, making it an exciting spot to spend time with friends and loved ones.
In conclusion, Ao Nang Beach offers a scenic and lively experience, making it an ideal destination for a quick dip, leisurely strolls, and witnessing beautiful sunsets. While it may get busy, the beach's charm and vibrant atmosphere more than compensate for it, creating a memorable beach experience.
Hope this helps 🙏

Nice beach at Ao Nang. It's the main beach in town and the easiest accessible beach. It's also the beach from which you depart to Railay Beach. The vibe here is nice, especially during sunset! The sand was a bit rough though at where we sat and there are many boats parked in the middle of the beach.

Ao Nang, Mueang Krabi District, Krabi 81180, Thailand
Wat Tham Suea Krabi is a vast temple complex nestled in the lush jungle, renowned for its impressive gold Buddha statue and extensive cave network. Situated 9km northwest of Krabi Town, this sprawling hill and cave temple complex makes for an excellent day trip. The entrance leads to a challenging 1260-step staircase that ascends to a 600m karst peak.
The temple was in very nice setting and everything was in the proper managed including the parking lot, the local shopping store area and also there were food sold in case you want to have a little meal in front the main entrance of the temple. There is some entry fee for international tourists/visitors but free for Thai people. The highlight of this temple is the 1,260 steps of stair climbing up the top of the cave hill. For us, it took about 40 minutes and literally depending on how healthy you are, some take shorter and some take longer time. I recommend you to try to reach to the top because the view and the area at the top is worth it. It was a breath taking view with the 360 view. You can see the horizontal of the ocean with the stunning view of the mountain beauty which is only located in Krabi. On the way, there were 2 the toilets stops and also there is drinking water tap at the top of the hill. I do recommend you to take a bottle of water. Due to the stairs is very steep and narrow so very be careful when climbing up and use the handrail will be more safe. Moreover, there is a number of steps wrote along the way which will give you a sense of progress. And also I suggest visit the tiger cave which is underneath the hill that we climb up. The overall experience was so memorable with stunning view and it may took you roughly 3 hours for this temple to explore. Enjoy the climbing.
Sriprapha Nguanson — Google review
Be ready for one hell of a stair climb. These aren't normal steps either, most of them are giant steps at a steep angle. Is it worth it? Depends on the individual really but I'd wager anyone willing to go there and climb the stairs in the first place would find it worthwhile. The views from the top are amazing, the statue is quite magnificent. It started raining as soon as we got up there which really helped cool us down. Can't imagine doing this in the middle of summer.
The state of the area up there could use a little attention.
Granted the stairs seem the only way up so that likely hampers any attempt at maintenance. Given the scale of construction of the temple at the foot of the mountain however, tells me a plan could be made. That's the only reason I give it 4 instead of 5 stars. Other than that it is quite a sight.
Dean Jooste — Google review
1260 steps and over 300m elevation. Not for the casuals. This will test your endurance but it's totally worth it once you get to the top. BRING WATER WITH YOU. I can't stress this enough. Also be mindful that you're visiting a temple so dress appropriately. The views are stunning.
Barkatt A-K — Google review
Such a beautiful place once you finally get to the top. The climb is pretty steep but worth it to see the beautiful golden Buddha at the top and the spectacular views of the surroundings. 1260 steps. Depending on your level of fitness it could take anywhere between 15 to 60 minutes.
Coralie Pattenden — Google review
A very beautiful scenic site on the top of the mountains but as it's said a difficult path often leads to a beautiful location so was the case with this. There are around 1260 extremely steep stairs to climb this location and not recommended for the faint hearted but the view from the top is magical and if you are ok with moderate trek then you must definitely try to go to the top of the mountain. It's really a feeling of accomplishment after completing this trek. A lovely experience and must recommended

One of the best temples we have visited in Thailand but be prepared for a long and steep climb.
The views from the top - once you get there - are superb. Also, make sure to check out the cave adjacent to the temple on the right past the main climb.
Would definitely try to come back here.

They are not lying when they say 1260 stairs but it is totally worth it. The Buddha at the top of the mountain is magnificent.
Do take plenty of water and make stops, everyone needs them you go straight up. No regrets I would go again.
Go early and be ready for monkeys they slide on the fence and can get to you very quickly.

This is one of the to go places in Krabi. But if you are unfit don't try it. It has over a thousand steps and some of it are steep. At the top you have a 360 degree view of the surrounding. Nice scenery. Do not carry too much things on the climb, keep your hands free to hold onto the railing.

Strongly recommended to come to Tiger Cave for your Krabi trip.
Earliest entry is 6am so don’t be late for the breathtaking views. You gotta get proper attire, sports wear ok but no swimming for ladies.
You have been warned that the stairs have 1260 steps, steps are narrow, about 2km. Spare about 2 hours for this. There are no toilet at the peak but there are 2 “pit-stop” for toilet break. Stay hydrated.
Please help to keep the environment clean. Thank you to the temple to build and ensure safety for visitors too.
YK L — Google review
Gorgeous place, the climb too the top is steep and perilous but definitely worth a go. The views from the top are stunning and the temple is very nice. Few monkeys around which have a tendency to steal but they are very cute. Got an ice-cream after the decent. Loved it all.
Duff Beer — Google review
One thing I loved was that it's free to enter - they just ask for donations if you want to contribute. The view from the top is gorgeous after climbing those 1,260 steps (there are markers along the way to track your progress). I was wiped by the end but feeling that sense of accomplishment made it worthwhile!
Now, they do require you to cover shoulders and knees out of respect. They lend scarves at the entrance which is super nice. I did notice some people sneaking them off once inside which seemed kinda lame to me. But anyway, not a big deal to wrap up for the visit.
There are monkeys playing around on the trail which can be fun to see. And some dogs keeping them in check in case they get too excited. Make sure to pack water and an extra tee because you'll work up a sweat on the way up!
All in all, I'd definitely recommend stopping by Tiger Cave Temple if you want some exercise with a dose of culture and killer views. Don't psych yourself out about the stairs - take breaks and you'll get there! The scenery at the top is worth it.

Worth a trip if you're in the area. Free entry and you can easily spend a few hours here if you're wanting to walk up the 1,200 steps to the top. Make sure you take plenty of water as you will need it. Great views at the top and you're rewarded with free water or you can buy cold water and snacks from the small shop.

This is a great place to visit during the morning or evening in cooler temperatures. It took us around 30 minutes to get to the top, though we did pass some people along the way. Something worth mentioning is that visiting this temple is no longer free and from March 2024 the entry cost is 50baht per person. The views from the top are great and it’s a lot windier up there which is refreshing.
Jamie Waller — Google review
When they said 1237 steps they meant it. The caveat is that some of those steps are on metal ladders attached to the cliff face and it is STEEP! In high temperature and humidity it was a massive challenge.
The view is spectacular. At the bottom there is a lot to explore. Definitely worth the trip.

One of the place must see and not to be missed! Tiger Cave Temple, a place you can come for worship or exertion. Small fees for non Thai tourists.
Stairs climbing are not for the faint of heart. Get proper non-slip shoes or sandals. Small bottle of water recommended for hydration or unexpected turn of event. The view is breathtaking and worthwhile.
Follow the rules on proper clothing would be beneficial.

Gorgeous place. It's not an easy climb, but the view is breathtaking. The steps are steep, there's no drinking water available up there, there are 2 washrooms on the way up, there are railings on both sides to hold. The descend isn't easy either, feet tremble and it gets very hectic. But it's all worth the view! There are no tickets to this, you're welcome to donate for the temple fund as per your wish.

30-45 min hike to walk up the well maintained 1200 stairs. Take a stick with you to hold back cheeky monkeys. The view on top is amazing and the temple beautiful. It’s free to hike up but you can leave a donation for the monks that maintain the temple.

I went there on the sunrise. Peaceful place.
The viewpoint with the Golden Buddha is really worth it but you have to be sure about your health and definitely take some water with you. It is 1260 steps, pretty hard way up but once you make it you would be impressed by the view.

Moderate-hard climb. Doable in 20-30 minutes with good condition. The view was wonderful. We advise you to come later in the day when most of the tours are already passed.

The tiger cave temple walk is difficult! You have to climb over 1200 steps with 200 m of elevation. My husband and I are both fit and healthy and struggled to do this walk. We were drenched in sweat from the humidity. We went here as part of a day trip so we were there in the afternoon. Definitely better to go in the morning or evening. The views were absolutely worth it. The Buddha on top is large and impressive.

Very nice temple and for free :) only donation if you'd like but otherwise you won't pay anything.
The walk up to the top is absolutely worth it
You'll go 1260 steps up the hill to reach the top.
Take enough water with you because you'll need it!
But on the top is a water refill station for free :)
The view is amazing and the Buddha is very beautiful!
Just be careful and watch out for the monkeys, they like taking things away hahah

Beautiful magnificent temple. It took me about 45min to go all the way up (as I needed to stop time to time). The views are gorgeous so it is well worth the effort. There is a water fountain at the end, which was very much appreciated.

Very nice place, great view at the top, remember water! Free water refill at the top was empty.
Not free as of march 2024, people at the start entrance changing 50 baht.
Beware of the monkeys, looks friendly, but they are not!

This is a great way to spend an evening. You need to be fit enough to clip steep stairs. If you don't mind taking your time, most active people should make it to the top. We went at 4pm when the sun wasn't so hot. I would recommend bringing water. Lots more to explore if you continue up the second set of stairs further inside the temple grounds.
Alexander Johnson — Google review
The hike is amazing and the views worth it, if you are fit you can go up in 20 minutes or less and down maybe in 15! You should keep you shirt in the temples but during the hike you can dressed as you want, there is also plenty of toilets and drinking water on the top!
Alfonso Sanchez — Google review
The views around the hike look very beautiful. But the destination itself never surprised me. if you are planning to hike during afternoon time, it will be very difficult for you because of the hot weather. You must bring bottle of water with you as there is no source of water or any kind of food above. Sunset time is recommended for this hike. 1200 steps are hard to climb but it gets easier with time.
Nasir — Google review
Worth the effort. Temp of 35 going up which made it harder so consider going earlier when cooler if you can.
Take a bottle of water and wear trainers!
Views from the top are great as are the monuments. The cave and big tree are set back as you go past the entry to Budda and are also worth a look. That's a much easier walk if elderly or have health issues. Enjoy

We did it early in the morning 7am to ensure the heat didn’t prevent us from making it to the top. The view was stunning and worth the 1260 steps.
It’s a tough climb but we did it in 25 mins.
Koh Khai Nok is a small island that boasts of a sandy beach at its tip, surrounded by crystal-clear waters. It is a popular destination for day trippers and snorkelers who can enjoy various water activities such as swimming or snorkelling. After relishing on delicious food served at the local shacks, visitors can indulge in water jumping out of boats. The Viking Cave offers breathtaking views but is currently closed.
Koh Khai Island is a small but stunning tropical getaway near Phuket. With powdery white sands and turquoise waters, it's a perfect spot for relaxation and snorkeling. The vibrant marine life and the laid-back atmosphere make Koh Khai a hidden gem for those seeking a tranquil escape from the bustling mainland.

Wow factor island. Enjoy it! Snorkeling gets a new meaning here. Tons of very friendly colourful fish and nice coral reefs. There an elevated view point on the backside of the restaurant. The hike up might be a bit slippery for like 4-5 minutes but the view is worth it. Great food and drinks there too.

This was a part of our island tour. We reached this beach in the evening. It was pretty crowded as it's a small beach. Beautiful white sand and clear blue water makes it amazing for pictures. There are few shacks on the beach for food and drinks. There are some water activities like Jet ski, snorkeling, etc. Overall a good place to visit as a part of the island tour.

Very touristy island, but very beautiful beach. Water was very clear and there were some decent looking corals just meters from the beach. I saw the water pipe from the toilets entering nearby, maybe that's the reason there were so many fish. But who really cares, it was the best snorkeling spot I have seen on this trip, it felt like in an aquarium even on the beach itself.

We stay in Phuket and purchased a tour to visit Maya Bay, Phi Phi Island, and Koh Khai Nok. It’s beautiful but so many tourists everywhere. The original price is 3500 Baht but we got some discount. The tour included boat ride to the Islands, snorkeling in the crystal clear water, water and soft drinks included, a little breakfast before get in to the boat and lunch buffet.

The biggest of the Khai islands. The water is clear and the fishes are friendly 😅🐟 🌊A good place to hang around and relax while sipping coconut juice - just ignore the chaotic noise of other island hoppers 😅There's no need to worry if you have suddenly gotten parched or hungry because the island has restaurants. So food, refreshments, cocktails, and booze are readily available 🍽🍻🍹

A tiny island on the way back from Phi Phi Island boat trip - yet, I consider it a such jewel during the entire islands and beaches exploring. You can swim with many schools of fish right near the shore. It’s a very memorable experience.

Beautifull place. Highly recommend if you stay in Phuket. We paid like 1800 bath pro person. For this ammount we were in Phi Phi island, Maya Bay (Maya Beach) Koh Khai Nok, Viking Cave (was unfortunetly closed, but view is really nice). We were able to do some water jumpings out of our boat. In this price u got even buffet meal wich is good too.

It's way cheaper if you buy your ticket on Agoda- we got 50% off for a non refundable ticket.
We spend a good 3 hours taking photos.
Took 1 stars off because my mom slipped as the floor was too slippery and hurt her back. Floor is too slippery, and wearing no socks doesn't help. Bring non-slip socks to wear as wearing shoes were not allowed. Another star off because there weren't any seating areas.
Staff don't speak English, making communication difficult. It's fun to do with family & kids. I don't recommend elderlies unless they are fit. No elevators, you must be able to stand & walk.

We ended up going during a quiet time of the day and so we didn’t have any interference from other people at the museum which was good. We had our own personal guide throughout our journey in the museum, she showed us how to pose and where to stand, she took a picture of us at each artwork! The artworks are funny and great, and it’s a nice place for kids and adults. One downside is that there is not aircon inside, only fans, so you can get very hot very fast. Other than that, I think the entrance price of $15 is excellent, as we had our own guide who literally took all our pictures and I thought it was very worth it. I highly recommend to all travellers!

We were the only visitors in the morning when it opened, so we got a private guide walking with us and showing us where to take best pictures. She even took picture of us together at the most famous spot with waterfall, so we were really thankful.
So service was really good, but the fact that you have to take off your shoes and walk around the hard floor barefoot for a long time was a big minus to me. My feet hurt anyway from all the walking throughout my trip, so going barefoot was quite painful and we just went fast to speed up the entire visit.
Few pictures are really masterpieces, but there's not that much to see here. Also, no air-conditioning - just fans in few important areas, so it's really hot in here.

There's something just so whimsical watching your family pose for these pictures, I've been once before and its still just as fun returning only to find NEW THINGS! It's easygoing, nobody rushes you, and its empty enough so you more or less get the place to yourself!

Great for $15 per person 1500 THB per person. There were a alot of awesome things on display here. The artwork is really cool and interesting/ interactive. If you get a chance you should visit. You can also pay by card and they have free parking right out front of the Museum. Definitely worth stopping by and a great great place for kids. I can't stress that enough. Had fun today! Thanks!
The Gibbon Rehabilitation Project, also known as โครงการคืนชะนีสู่ป่า in Thai, is a center dedicated to rehabilitating mistreated gibbons with the goal of releasing them back into the wild. With over 3,000 gibbons being killed annually by hunters in Thailand, the project focuses on caring for sick and unhealthy survivors to prepare them for future rehoming.
Oh my goodness- what a phenomenal experience.
This is a LEARNING experience, where we get to admire these fantastic animals learning how to live their authentic lives.
This is where they should be, in the rainforest away from human interaction.
It’s rustic and real, and it was brilliant.
The tour guide was amazing, so knowledgeable and caring towards these creatures.
Loved it! One of the best experiences to see animals being properly cared for.

Upon entering the national park, You can hear are the calls of gibbons echoing through the trees - We met our guide Michael and started the tour, Learning a lot about the illegal wildlife trade & tourist traps involving Gibbons & other wildlife, and the damage it causes.
It was a very informative tour and we still got quite close to the gibbons, Close enough to get photos and videos but distance is to be kept as they are being rehabilitated to be released into the wild where they belong, So they are trying to keep humans away from them.
All the gibbons have sad but amazing stories behind them and it was a great experience to learn about them, I recommend anyone visiting Phuket who loves animals to visit and do this tour, Your visit will support them in bringing in more gibbons and looking after current ones.
The entry to the national park is an additional 400 baht and there is a nice walk to a waterfall which you can swim at.

My boyfriend and I visited as part of a new program GRP are going for tourists. Only one group is allowed in at a time, and is booked in advance on their website.
The site itself is located in Phuket’s last remaining rainforest, on the steps of a easily hike-able waterfall and steps away from a delicious restaurant overlooking a lily pond.
Our tour guide spoke excellent English, and took nearly an hour to tell us all about the gibbons and their process at the centre. At the end, we were allowed to enter the facility at a closed distance that was still safe for the gibbons.
The entire tour was extremely fun and knowledgeable, and we were happy that our experience was not at the expense of the safety of the staff nor animals there.
We cannot wait to return again, and recommend this experience to anyone visiting Phuket.

We loved learning about gibbons and the hard work that has gone into trying to save this beautiful species from extinction.
It is a serene setting in the national park. You hear the gibbon calls and also get to see some gibbons from a distance. They are trying to minimize interactions with humans.
We did the 1 hour session and then walked to the waterfall for a swim surrounded by colorful butterflies.

The most inspiring wildlife experience in Phuket... cannot recommend highly enough!
The Gibbon Rehabilitation Project is a true rescue-rehabilitation centre, where the wellbeing of the gibbons is first and foremost. The team work tirelessly for years to rehabilitate rescued gibbons back to the wild where they belong, and it was amazing to be able to visit and listen to the passionate staff talk about their work, and the individual stories of each gibbon.
You can get a good view (from a respectful distance) of some of the gibbons in their enclosures, but the most amazing part of the visit was hearing the gibbons sing - one of the most beautiful sounds in the world! We booked the 1 hour talk but we will definitely be returning for the 2.5 hour talk soon! After the talk you have the opportunity to explore some of the surrounding rainforest and walk to the nearby waterfall.

Excellent experience and a superb cause. Booked and visited with my wife and learnt all about Gibbons and the fantastic project they surrounded by some of the Gibbons which can’t be returned to the wild for various reasons. Extremely friendly and informative guide. Once we finished had a short walk to the Bang Pae waterfall which was very nice
James Wiltshire — Google review
A fantastic experience learning all about the Gibbons. Our guide was very informative and answered all our questions. A great way to support the gibbons which were almost made extinct due to poachers shooting them to get babies for tourist photo ops. So amazing to hear the gibbons singing in the trees. There are a few gibbons kept in large enclosures that cannot be released but the main aim is to release the gibbons so you won't see many so that they don't get used to humans so don't expect a zoo.
Holly H — Google review
The highlight of our trip in Phuket. The gibbon sanctuary is a must visit . The 1 hour educational tour clearly explained the abuse and torture suffered by the poor gibbons for tourism purposes. Thankfully, the sanctuary has successfully paired & rehabilitated gibbons over the years and released into the wild. Do your part and don't support gibbons used for any commercial purposes. Whole families are killed by poachers just to capture that 1 "cute" baby gibbon.
EL Au — Google review
100% recommend visiting this amazing rehabilitation centre to everyone!
Sadly I didn’t catch our amazing Swedish guides’ name, he’s been a volunteer for years, but we need more people like him. The passion and love he has for the Gibbons was catching. We learnt so much about them and can’t believe how cruel others can be for a bit of tourist entertainment. That and the loss of the forest means these beautiful, melodic creatures are in dire need of our help to save them.
It costs 1000 baht to have the tour plus you can donate at the small shop. We were on our way to the waterfall and joined the tour on a whim - numbers are controlled so as to have as little human interaction as possible yet there is a need to raise funds.
People complain about the 400 baht entrance fee to the park but this money is (hopefully) going towards preserving precious native forest for projects like the Gibbon rehabilitation. This project doesn’t get any of the entrance fee but the more people who know the plight of the Gibbons the more the word will spread about these intelligent creatures so like us and about the wonderful work these volunteers do. And that will help gain more badly needed funding.
Please visit!

This is not a zoo, it is made to take care of the gibbons that have been rescued from human hands. We payed the entrance to see them from far, the guides introduced us to the monkeys lifestyles and how they used to be treated (one of them had his hand cut off from the previous owner). This is project is specifically set up to support them and get conscious that wild animals are not pets. We also got a T-shirt in their shop and they are open to donations. Super kind and I loved the visit. As they are located inside of a national park you must to pay 200 Thai b (5.60chf) and see a waterfall with a nice walk.

Beautiful and quiet beach with white sand and blue clear waters. Very chill atmosphere and not busy, which was great. It is located 30 minutes by car from Patong area. There are many options to rent a sun bed and umbrella and enjoy the relax vibe of this 5 km long beach nicely integrated with nature. Plenty of options for food and drinks at reasonable rates as well. Amazing place for a sunset. I believe I found the greatest itinerary if you have an evening flight out of phuket Airport. After our stay in phuket for the weekend we left our hotel around 1pm and went to an elephant sanctuary, this took about 3 hours including drive time and with our flight departing at 9pm we decided it would be a great thing to go here and watch the sunset and have some yummy drinks! Definitely one of the better beaches in Phuket. I visited in low season so not many tourist around. It is one of the longest stretch of beach in Phuket. South side has some more entertainment. Mid section is called laguna beach and has more holiday homes behind it. North part is my favorite, laguna beach towards Sirinat park is beautiful and more quiet. Some underdeveloped Thai food places cater for your needs and you can easily park your car under the trees and just chill. The waves are bit lower here aswel. Water doesn't retreat as much at low tide as some other beaches in Phuket, so not revealing rocky bottom.

I haven't been to this beach since last year. The sea is nice and easy to swim. The beach is clean. Staff of the restaurants and beach chairs are very welcoming.
What I regret, but it's only my appreciation, is that this place is losing part of its charm because of the multiplication of restaurants, massages, beach chairs and sun umbrellas...
I do prefer the beaches North of Phuket which are less crowded (at the moment)

Brilliant beach, would rate 9/10. Lovely white sand surrounded by palm trees, a true tropical paradise. Plenty of beach bars lining the beach where you can enjoy a drink, food and hire sunbeds for very modest prices. The sea is about waist height (I'm 5"6') for about 30 feet before getting to swimming depth. Waves are variable, out of the 3 days I've visited they have been calm, but one day was rather rough (was following the blue moon on 30/08/23, which may have affected the tide). Just check for the fed flags and ensure you don't swim in between them. If not a strong swimmer, or have children, take extra caution. All in all though, it's a lovely beach, I'd recommend Maya beach club for music, Aloma for sunbeds and drinks or Golden fish for lovely seafood.

This is a clean, sheltered beach. It's quite long so good for walking. There are many beach bars and restaurants. Great place for swimming, not very many rocks underfoot when in the water.

Bangtao Beach spans 6 km in length, making it one of Phuket's longest beaches, halfway between Phuket airport and Patong Beach on the island’s west coast and part of the Cherngtalay area. With such a beautiful stretch of sand, it’s no surprise why Bangtao has become the home of some of the largest and most luxurious resorts on the island, such as Banyan Tree Resort, Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket, Angsana Phuket Resort, and SAii Laguna Phuket Resort.
Bangtao is also where you can find dozens of local restaurants and beach clubs right on the beach and eat or drink with your feet in the sand. For the most part, it's pretty deserted – hotels mostly occupy its southern end, while the northern end is generally very quiet and peaceful. Only a few small beach bars are dotted along its length.
The sea is flat, calm and clear from November to April. The waves can get a little rough between May and October, so take note of red flags on the coastline. Bangtao Beach attracts those looking to leave everything behind and do nothing more taxing than reading a book.
The exception to this rule is if you're at the southern end of the beach. There are several beachfront hotels and beach clubs, resulting in a very lively atmosphere in the evening. However, Bangtao remains one of the most family-friendly beaches in Phuket.
In front of the Laguna hotels, local beach shacks sell everything from snacks and drinks to beachwear and tours. Note that Bangtao Beach doesn't have public toilets.
Phang Nga Bay is a picturesque waterway that offers kayak tours and boat excursions. One of the most beautiful national parks we have visited. This National part is part of the southern of Thailand. It’s famous for James Bond Islamd, it’s amazing caves, limestones and green clean water. We reserved a kayak tour and it was amazing. We went around the island and saw many beautiful caves and rock formations. You have to try this at least once on life.

Absolutely gorgeous, yet not without problems. The beaches on the remote islands are full of trash. Rangers patrol, but they seem most interested in collecting the national park fee. I don't know if they ever pick up trash. Most of the plastic waste looks like it comes from fishermen judging by the composition: styrofoam, fishing net, energy drink bottles, etc. Jet skis are illegal in the bay, but they seem common. Certain parts of the bay can get really noisy and crowded, but it's easy to avoid those places unless you sign up with a mass tourism company to go on a tour. Avoid James Bond Island, Koh Panyi, and Koh Hong if you don't want to be part of a crowd.
Koh Yao Noi is delightful! Basically, do some research and you can have a wonderful experience. The bay is very worth visiting.

Take a long boat ride around the bay. Stop at the Koh Panyee village on the water.
Pass through the waterways under the rocks.
See "The Jumping Tiger" on one of the islands.
Pass by the famous James Bond Island featured in The Man with The Golden Gun 1974 movie.
Multiple photo opportunities. I suggest a camera with good lenses over a phone.
The boat catches lots of sprinkles at high speed so be careful with your camera and phone.

Also known as Ao Phang Nga National Park, it's characterized by limestone cliffs and rock formations, as well as mangrove forests and small islands. Among the islands are Koh Tapu, known as James Bond Island for its appearance in a Bond film.

This was a bucket blister. James Bond Island has been a place I wanted to visit since I discovered it. Now I have!
Gorgeous and not so overly packed. Touristy, but not horrendous.
Did a bit of snorkeling here for my first time, someone who suffers from thalassophobia, glad I got myself to do it.
Definitely worth it.

Beautiful limeston mountains and small caves surrounded with blue ocean all around, amazing work of art by nature. It's very touristic but you will be treated to some unforgettable sights.

Phang Nga Bay is a wonderful place to spend the day. Like some other reviewers have said, it isn't without issues, but the natural beauty outshines these negatives. We took a short, spontaneous tour from Ban Khlong Khian Pier to James Bond Island. Just a reminder, keep cash on hand. We weren't planning on this trip and spent all of our cash on the boat ride, so we could not tour the island itself (yes, there's a fee).
