Wat Arun Ratchawararam Ratchawaramahawihan, also known as the Temple of Dawn, is a grand Buddhist temple situated on the west side of the Chaophraya River in Thonburi, Bangkok. Its iconic central spire is adorned with intricate tiles and stands out with its colorful and detailed design. The temple's history dates back to King Taksin's restoration in 1768, giving it a significant place in Thai heritage.
This temple is the highlight of Bangkok and maybe Thailand, and rightly so. The site is compact, so during busy tourist hours, it gets very crowded. Better visit early in the morning or just right before sunset as the air is more chill. There aren’t any roof so if it gets rained, then… oh well.
I wish there are more stories about the temple other than just a paragraph or two posted outside the temple.

Cool place. I am very glad that Thailand has such a respectful attitude towards its rich culture. The entire territory of the temple looks very beautiful and well-kept. The skill and imagination of the sculptors amazes me. The entrance ticket costs 100 baht, and also at the entrance, all visitors are given a bottle of water along with the ticket. You can also get to the other side of the river by boat for just 5 baht. I recommend to try to see the beauty of the temple when you cross the river by boat.
Bohdan Domansky — Google review
Great place to visit, not expensive (100 thb cash) and complimentary water is included with your ticket. We had to take the boat to and from the temple which was easy enough. Make sure to walk fully around as there is more to it than the main temple. You can hire traditional this outfits to be photographed in which seemed popular

Wat Arun is absolutely a place you should visit when in Bangkok. I arrived before sunset, around 5 pm, as they close at 6 pm. It’s on Friday. Be ready for crowds if you come around this time. The weather is already not too hot, and the sky displays its prettiest blue and yellow colors. Outside the entrance gate, you'll find many shops that rent traditional clothes for taking pictures, all of them beautiful. The temple has many intricate details. As the sun sets, the sky transitions from orange to pinkish-purple. It’s also recommended to observe this temple during sunset time as it looks majestic.

Wat Arun is a jewel of the architecture so characteristic of Thailand. The temple, according to the luminosity, to appear white and all in embroidery with the many details which decorate it. It's rather extended and it's necessary to think of going on the right of the temple when one is in front of it, there are splendid Buddhas to be discovered and other temples in the complex.
I strongly advise to go there early in the morning because it's quickly taken by many instagrammers who spend hours to be taken in pictures at the same place, making then the taking of picture of the temple complicated ...
Cl?mence Valette — Google review
One of the most iconic temple in Bangkok. It is a very beautiful and spectacular temple. It is best taken pictures during sun rise or sun set. It is very well maintained cleanliness. This temple can get very touristy as it is very photogenic temple. So ensure to get there early to avoid the crowds. At the entry of the main temple there are many tourist dresses in traditional Thai dress, so at time it get difficult to take pictures on the lawn of the temple.
Katethip Varanyuwatana — Google review
Love the temple and the overall experience. The temple are actively used so there will be some sections that is forbidden to enter. There's a market here selling Thailand souvenirs like shirts, fridge magnets and key chains. The temple is so magnificent and beautiful, as the restoration was recently completed in 2017. There is also a costume rental for tourists that wants to get photographed in traditional Thai attires.
Tamado Sitohang — Google review
Incredible architecture. The temples were well maintained and so rich in history. I think they did a great job with ensuring that the temple remains a place of worship for locals yet a place for tourists to experience and learn about their religion, culture and history. Guides are available (might be at a cost). Tickets were 100 baht each.
Tips for visitors,
1. Bring a hat or umbrella - it's really sunny
2. Follow temple rules on proper attire - If you need a long skirt or shawl for covering up, you can borrow one from the temple.
3. Wear easy to slip on and off shoes - you'll be required to take off your footwear to enter the temples
4. At the exit, you can take a boat across the river to visit another famous temple.

Beautiful Buddhist temple. Very easy to get to from across the river by ferry. The ferry leaves every 5 minutes and costs only 5 baht. Extremely popular but still easy to visit with no waiting. The ticket price of 100 baht includes a small bottle of water. Clean restrooms are available on the premises.

This place (can be) crowded. However, this is actually a cool temple. Yes it costs a little to get it, but it's really worth the view. You can pay a little extra and dress up in a period costume for some pictures, however given how crowded it is, be prepared to share your photo with about 5000 of your newest best friends. The steps are very step, be careful! You want to also be aware that, given the amount of people here, you need to watch your wallet. Also some people are more concerned with getting a good photo than they are with their own personal safety, as a result on these steep steps; accidents can happen. There's a gift shop inside, but most of the food and drinks are more expensive than outside.

Wat Arun Temple in Bangkok is undeniably stunning with its intricate architecture and rich cultural significance. However, the overwhelming crowds can diminish the overall experience, making it challenging to fully appreciate the serene beauty of this historical site. Consider visiting during off-peak hours for a more tranquil visit.

Although I waited for while to visit Wat Arun, I'm happy that I was able to make time to share my experience with a childhood friend. There is so much to take in here. The ground are quite expansive and the buildings too numerous to list. It is best to look at my photos since a picture is worth a thousand words. We arrived early in the day to avoid the heat since there is not a lot of shade to protect you from the searing sun. There are drinks and ice blocks available to cool give you a respite while waiting for your return boat to your point of departure.

As a photographer, I get really excited when I enter a place that is full of beautiful structures and different colors. Especially when I realize that it is one of the most important places in the city and has a part of the history of that city. Do not forget this wonderful place when traveling to the beautiful city of Bangkok. fantastic.

This is one of the must-see temples in Bangkok. It’s very well kept and there are events held in the evening on the temple grounds. There are a few shops selling traditional Thai dresses for women and there are several boat docks that can take passengers to the other side of the river for a cheap price. The temple itself is beautiful and you can ascend the main central spire to get a good look at the Buddha relics within and the surrounding area. I would definitely recommend checking this place out on your trip to Bangkok.
Matt Smith — Google review
Absolutely beautiful temple. There is detail on every part all the way up which was a sight to behold. We really enjoyed walking round and taking it all in. Well worth a visit! I arrived wearing shorts as we didn't first plan on visiting but they provided fabrics for free for while you were on the grounds. Food and drink available on site.

Amazing and iconic architecture. Definitely visit this and marvel at its beauty once you're in Bangkok.
Note:
100 Baht fee for foreigners.
Please wear modest clothing (t-shirts at least, fully covered legs).
Do NOT show any tattoos, especially if it's of the Buddha himself.
Soroush Torkian — Google review
Nice temple, very photogenic. Looks better at night. Some simple cafe and drinks available. No need long pants to enter. There are steep stairs from time to time, however not mandatory to climb.
Daniel Chew — Google review
This is one of the best landmarks in Bangkok. Wat Arun also known as Temple of the Dawn. You need to cross the river to visit this place where you need to spend 10 baht to and fro. This is the place having relics of the budhha. The architecture is stunningly beautiful. One should visit and have lots of photos. This place ticket price is 100 baht for foreigners.
Ganesh Paisole — Google review
Gorgeous temple and grounds. Give yourself an hour to be able to meander and explore every angle properly. Fairly busy but still incredible to see and find your picture spot. We did this on the way to grand palace since the stop there from the river is closed. You have to come to Wat Arun and transfer to a short river cross to get to the palace.
Chris Caruso — Google review
A beautiful and unusual temple, mainly outdoors. A real must see and the traditionally dressed Thai visitors bring some amazing additional colour to the temple. You cannot go to the top but it has so much detail to admire its still a definite place to visit.
Peter Thompson — Google review
Must visit Wat Arun when you are in Bangkok! Entry free cost $200 baht and they close at 6pm. Seeing the temple in person upclose is truly extraordinary and also awe inspiring from afar during sunset when the temple lights up.
Really busy and there are a lot of costume rental stores nearby that you can dress up for $150 baht and hiring a photographer is additional!
Jenny Truong — Google review
Wat Arun, also known as the Temple of Dawn, is a temple that you should not miss. However, I am giving it only a three-star.
Pros:
Wat Arun boasts a striking and iconic structure, best appreciated from the boat as you cross the river. The temple's exterior is adorned with vibrant porcelain tiles and seashells, forming a captivating mosaic that glimmers in the sunlight. The central prang (tower), surrounded by four smaller prangs, stands tall and invites visitors to climb its steep stairs for panoramic views of the river and city.
After you purchased a ticket, they stamp your wrist and give you a complimentary bottle of water, a thoughtful touch that sets Wat Arun apart from other famous sites in Bangkok..
You can also borrow traditional Thai clothes and even hire a professional photographer to help you get the best pics once in Wat Arun.
Cons:
This site is pretty small and it becomes way too crowded once most of the visitors have photographers taking photos for them. It is difficult to enjoy the place if you are constantly reminded by others “not to block the photographer”.
One improvement could be providing more detailed explanations about the temple beyond its physical structure. This would enhance visitors' understanding of the historical and cultural significance of the site.
For those who are not going to hire a photographer, 30-35 minutes may suffice to explore Wat Arun. Despite the drawbacks, the temple's stunning architecture, the unique mosaic, and the opportunity for panoramic views make it a worthwhile visit. Consider visiting during less crowded times to fully appreciate its beauty and historical value.

The famous tourist attraction Sunrise temple.
Free entry.
I suggest more safety precautions such as wearing a safety belt or helmet etc. are required for those who wants to go up to pagoda/prang(very high and very steep stairs) .
Tang Augusta — Google review
One of the lost beautiful places we've been so far, the attention to detail and these buildings is something else. Extremely hot day but well worth it as you nip in and out of different temples and see the amazing sights from thousands of years ago! It almost takes your breath away see how high the buildings are and how steep the steps are, one of our favourite places of the day
James Hinchliffe — Google review
A very famous temple in Bangkok so when you visit you will see a lot of tourists. The pagoda has many tall towers with very steep steps. The highest ancient towers of the pagoda are only accessible on the lower floors, the entrance to the upper floors is locked. Here, many female tourists rent ancient Thai costumes to wear for photos for 300Bath. Entrance fee to visit the temple is 200Bath. Boat ticket from BTS station is 30Bath/way. The worshiping areas are located behind the main pagoda. The architecture of the worship area is beautifully plated with gold. However, the boat waiting area is a bit small and cramped. In Thailand monks are highly respected. On public transportation, monks are always given the highest priority.

158 Thanon Wang Doem, Wat Arun, Bangkok Yai, Bangkok 10600, Thailand
The Grand Palace, a historic complex in Bangkok, was established in 1782 and is now open to the public as a museum. It features over 100 buildings constructed over two centuries, including Wat Phra Kaew, which houses the revered Emerald Buddha. The palace grounds are expansive and showcase stunning golden palaces, intricate Buddha statues, and more than 50 temples.
The dazzling, spectacular Grand Palace is undoubtedly the most famous landmark in Bangkok. It’s one must-see sight that no visit to the city would be complete without. It was built in 1782 and for 150 years was the home of the Thai King, the Royal court and the administrative seat of government.
The Grand Palace of Bangkok is a grand old dame indeed, that continues to have visitors in awe with its beautiful architecture and intricate detail, all of which is a proud salute to the creativity and craftsmanship of the Thai people. Within its walls were also the Thai war ministry, state departments, and even the mint. Today, the complex remains the spiritual heart of the Thai Kingdom.

It's beautiful. The entry ticket is 500 baht. It includes the cost for 3 things. 1 of these things is at another location. The ticket is valid for 1 day for the grand palace and as far as I can remember, for 7 days for the other 2 things. It's better to keep 2 days to complete the grand palace visit. Unfortunately I went there on the last day of my tour and was able to see just the grand palace. The textile museum is also nice.
Akshi Bhargava — Google review
Amazing, lots of history and culture all in one place. The detail, and the vibrant colours are just superb. Well worth the 500 Baht. Only drawback is that it is so popular that you are always competing for space, or waiting for others to finish to take a photo, or having people walk into your shots.

Bangkok is one of the famous and attractive places among tourists and it is one of the highly recommended place for its tourist places.
Bangkok has so many places to offer and the list is so big that you can not finish in one tour. Among them few things you can not miss you you are in Bangkok.
Grand palace is one the places which you can not miss if your are planning your trip to Bangkok.
The Grand palace is basically the home of the king of the Bangkok and it is very nicely maintained. The place is full of the temples and the King palace with well decorated with varieties flower trees.
For locals it is free but chargeable for the foreigners.
Also to mention do not wear short dresses if you wish to go inside the compound.
We recommend to visit this place if you are in Bangkok trip.

It was a bit crowded on the day I attended, but that is to be expected at mid-day. Beautiful grounds, featuring artful topiary, breathtaking architecture, and the most epic tapestry that I have ever seen. It's definitely worth a visit, even if you're only in Bangkok for a couple of days.
Collin Kinnear — Google review
Beautiful place. Very clean. It'll easily take you 2 hours to look around. Wear appropriate clothes. No sleeveless & shorts. Get Thai style coffee next to the ticket counter. It's delicious
niharika bhide — Google review
Overall, it was a majestic experience. I highly recommend anyone visiting to borrow an umbrella near the ticket counter upon entering, trust me, it's a lifesaver against the scorching heat. The heat literally burns you. Don't forget sunscreen too.
The palace complex is vast and filled with rich history and intricate details, especially the murals that tell many captivating stories. To fully appreciate the art and architecture, consider getting a guide. While there's a counter providing free tour guides in various languages, I found that the English-speaking guides were not as fluent as I had hoped, making it tough to follow along with the history being shared. it would be wise to find a proficient tour guide or to do some research before your visit. you'll be able to fully immerse yourself in the grandeur and storied past of these temples and palace . Oh , and when you're done, the umbrella can be easily returned at a booth near the exit, which is quite convenient.
All in all, the Grand Palace is a remarkable site that you shouldn't miss when in Thailand. Just come prepared and you'll have a much more enjoyable and educational visit. 5 stars for the overall experience!

Always nice for a wander when you are in Bangkok. The buildings are stunning. Very quiet at the moment so taking decent pictures is relatively easy. Bought tickets online which was easy although still had to line up in the same place at the entrance.

Beautiful architecture in the heart of the city. We went as part of the temple and palace tour and had a guide with us. Would highly recommend taking a guided tour. The dress code is very strict. The ticket for tourists is Baht500 per person.

Stepping into the Grand Palace of Bangkok is like stepping into a fairytale. The intricate details of the architecture and the vibrant colors of the buildings are breathtaking. The palace is a true testament to the rich history and culture of Thailand. The Temple of the Emerald Buddha is a must-see, with its stunning gold-plated exterior and intricate carvings. The palace grounds are vast and offer plenty of opportunities for exploration. It's easy to get lost in the beauty of the Grand Palace and forget about the outside world. A visit here is truly an unforgettable experience.
Shubham Singhal — Google review
Great place to visit. A lot of cultural significance, past residence of past kings. It has a lot of history for Thailand. Worth a visit but foreigners have to pay to enter. The most important emerald/jade Buddha is placed in one of the temples, and the architecture was great. No shoes entering the temple, have to wear long pants and no sleeveless.
Wai Qian Tham — Google review
Absolutely stunning. Lovey to walk around in the middle of a busy city and feel like your in a super calm environment. It’s busy but it still felt spacious once your inside.
500 baht for entry and then your set.
Make sure you take pants that cover full legs, or there is a shop at entrance that sell for 200 baht a piece.
Kalapton — Google review
Grand Palace is super huge and stunning place for sure!
When you visit Grand Palace make sure that you have time, it easily takes 2 3 hours for me to discover! (I didn't discover everything) 😁
I highly recommend anyone to visit during your time in Bangkok.
Ticket costs 500 baht and you can easily buy from entrance.
NOTE:
Since the weather is very hot and humid in Bangkok, you will wear shorts but don't forget that you are not allowed to visit Grand Palace with shorts, you need to wear long pants and if you didn't bring anything there are shops just cross the road, you can buy pants for very cheap like 100-200 baht. It's very comfortable and you can visit all the temples with it too.

My first impression about this place is “ Wow, i guess that’s the richest king for you” 🤣🤑🤑🤑 I can feel the wealthy vibes all around this place. And I wonder where the royal family residing now if the palace become tourist attraction. It’s majestic and well maintained. I just can’t handle the heat. Please visit earlier in the morning or better in the late afternoon and bring your iced thai tea, electric fan or you can also rent umbrella there.

Stunning buildings & architecture at The Grand Palace. We arrived here at approx 10am & it was very busy & very hot. TIP: make sure you have some water, a hat & sunscreen with you. Also check to ensure you have the correct attire to enter or you will be made to buy clothing in order to enter. We collected a free map inside & also signed up for a free tour in English, which lasted approx 30 minutes & provided you with some interesting historical facts. Well worth a visit.

Due to the pandemic there were hardly any visitors here and so there was time and space to enjoy it fully. Beware of scams and sellers around the place. Just ignore whatever they tell you. Remember to dress properly or you will have to buy some ridiculous body coverings. The palace is amazing and a must see place. Good to get a guide book to appreciate it fully. Buy tickets online to save time.

The Grand Palace in Bangkok is simply mesmerizing. Its intricate architecture and vibrant colors create a captivating experience. Don't miss the chance to see the revered Emerald Buddha, a unique and spiritually significant sight (and the most important Buddha in the country).
Remember to dress appropriately and arrive early to fully appreciate the palace's beauty. It's an unforgettable visit that showcases Thailand's rich heritage.

It is huge place and very calming when we entered the temple. The entry fees is applicable. I don't remember the price right now. Take an umbrella with you when its sunny . It will help to walk around the huge area in the premises. Water is available inside temple on payment.
Side note 😇:
My friend said If we wish there for something it would get complete one day for sure so I stayed and wished. She is very precious to me 🫰

All the temples here are beautifully maintained. You should bring sunnies and umbrella also a lot of patience as the place has a lot of people visiting everyday and the temperature is so hot and humid. Recommended if it’s your first time in Thailand like me.
I visited their Emerald Budhha and their king’s residence.

The temple is beautiful, but not large in area. The entrance ticket costs 500 baht. But we were lucky that the ticket price also included a trip to the theater and an entrance ticket to the art museum. When in Bangkok you should definitely visit it.

Can't get enough of the breathtaking beauty of this place! 🤩✨ The Grand Palace of Thailand has been the official residence of the Kings of Thailand since 1782. The king, his court, and his royal government were based on the grounds of the palace until 1925. Don’t forget to explore the rich history and grandeur of this iconic landmark when you visit Thailand! 🏰🇹🇭
Jessil Ray Aguilar — Google review
The view of the palace buildings in Thailand style architecture, all ornamented colorfully, right in the entrance, is just stunning and eye catching. People just kept taking pictures around, trying to find the best angle to catch the impressive view of the palaces, statues, columns and the towers.
The place was very crowded with many tour groups, each one with its own guide, all of them shouting quite loudly, to explain the characteristics of the buildings to their group.
The entrance fee is 500 baht.
When going back to the hotel, taxis around this place were asking abusive fixed price for the ride, much more expensive than when arrived there.
It is better to take a bus, in a bus stop near to the exit.
JB Lee — Google review
What a magnificent place to visit. There was a good size crowd to get in, but it was only a short wait for the tickets and the queue was moving quickly to enter the Palace grounds.
Dress code is strictly adhered to, but vendors outside can provide you with the necessary cover, at a premium price, if you are unaware or forget to dress appropriately.
Can get scorching hot inside as there is little air circulating and a lack of shade from the sun. Taking water is definitely worthwhile on a hot sunny day.
There is a free bust to transfer you to the free cultural dance performance at the theatre. The show starts at 1pm and you really need to be at the Palace exit where the buses are by 12.45

"Visiting the Grand Palace of Bangkok was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I stepped onto the grounds, I was captivated by the intricate architecture, rich history, and stunning craftsmanship. Google Maps made navigating the sprawling complex a breeze, guiding me seamlessly through the maze of ornate buildings, shimmering temples, and lush gardens. Thanks to detailed directions and real-time updates, I was able to make the most of my visit, exploring every corner with ease. Whether you're a history buff, architecture enthusiast, or simply looking to immerse yourself in Thai culture, the Grand Palace is a must-see destination, and Google Maps is the perfect companion for your journey. Five stars without hesitation!" 💯💯🇹🇭

I think everyone must see The Grand Palace at least once. I really enjoyed looking at the architecture.
First - cover shoulders and legs, men must wear trousers.
Two - avoid the tour guides at the front gate unless you want one (you buy your own ticket once inside), just walk through and the guards will wave you through security after checking that you are dressed appropriately.
Three - there is a machine you can buy tickets with card if you want to avoid the line at the booth.
Four - there are drink stalls at the beginning, middle and a cafe at the end.
Five - the first gold part with beautiful art is only the beginning, keep walking and you will get to the rest of the complex.

Worth to visit as you can see the building built with unique architecture and specific details structures in every building. One thing is you can not wear the short pants or skirt inside if you’re wearing that, you need to buy the clothes that they sell in the entrance to cover yourself for the girls. It’s better to bring your own water there and hat as usually so hot there. 🤩
BAWI THA LIAN THANG — Google review
The place is absolutely amazing, buildings are gorgeous, a real feast for the eye. There's no question of visiting it or not when in Bangkok, it's a hard yes. Not giving 5 stars because if you're not part of a guided tour, there's absolutely no information for the visitor. And facilities like toilets need an upgrade.
George Papadopoulos — Google review
Easily spent half a day here. We opted for the free English tour which you join inside. It helps to have read a bit of the history of the palace before hand. In some of the buildings you need to take off your shoes before entering. Definitely need a hat and sunglasses when wandering around outside.

An absolute must-see in Bangkok. It is a magnificent place full of art and beauty. You will want to stay inside for hours. There are many things to see, and everything is so pristine that it feels unreal. The ticket is a bit expensive but it also offers the entrance to a dance show which is fantastic and you can return to the Palace if you wish another time. I personally loved it, and I would no doubt recommend this place to anyone coming to Bangkok. I got the audio guide, which was very useful to understand everything. To enter one of the main temples, you need to remove your shoes.

Phra Borom Maha Ratchawang, Phra Nakhon, Bangkok 10200, Thailand
Located within the Grand Palace in Bangkok, Thailand, the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, also known as Wat Phra Kaew, is a must-see attraction. The temple houses a revered 26-inch emerald Buddha statue and is considered one of the most sacred temples in Thailand. Legend has it that this precious statue originated in India and brings prosperity to the countries where it resides.
We were lucky enough to go to the grand palace and the temple of the Emerald Buddha, while Thailand is still empty due to covid restrictions and a slow restart tourism. It was absolutely incredible. There were probably less than 100 people on the entire premises during our visit. It is spectacular and well worth the visit even if the crowds were much denser. If you take the boat, finding entrances somewhat tricky so do your research.
Chonpat Jaroenjit — Google review
Even as local, I still can't get enough of this temple. It's elegant craft and detail worked that's go into building this temple is absolutely astounding. It can get very how during the day (especially during the Summer) best time to visit is very early in the morning when the temple just open. It's also good to try to avoid the crowds. Make sure to take the time to enjoy the wall painting along the temple.

The inside of this temple is as impressive as the outside. You can visit as part of the Grand Palace entry.
You can only take photos of the outside of the temple, but it's well worth taking the time to sit down inside and drink in the details. The free brochure they give you at the ticket entrance has a good quick read on the history of the Emerald Buddha.

Cool to walk around in the royal palace area! So much to see and explore! The details is so beautiful! Loved my time here! But you should know that it is extremely crowded, so you have to force yourself through a lot! And it is a bit expensive with 500 baht

The time that was taken to construct these temples is heavily felt upon approaching this place. I took advantage of the prayer rooms, the outdoor prayer stations, and taking in the beauty. I met people from all over the world and had great exchanges. As a Christian, I was still able to respect and appreciate another religion and how our beliefs and faith bring us together in such a positive way.
Tips:
-Dress modestly
-Wear socks because some places prohibit shoes
-DO NOT get a Buddha tattoo

Located on a hill with a beautiful location, you can overlook the coastal city of Pattaya. The temple was built with unique architecture and is very typical of Thai culture. Very beautiful and dignified. The tour guide shared about the culture and spiritual beliefs here. The pagoda stands out with a majestic large golden Buddha image. 2 dragons spit out a 7-headed snake. A spiritual place you should visit once!So beautiful!..

Not to be missed when visiting Bangkok. The ticket includes entry to this temple and the Grand Palace (actually this temple is part of the Grand Palace). It includes also a traditional dance show at a nearby theater. It is worth watching it and there are free shuttles just outside the temple. Following Lonely Planet's advice I looked for a guide inside. There were no guides, except for a free tour run by the administration that I believe runs 4 times a day (10, 10:30, and another 2 in the afternoon). Unfortunately, I had hard time understanding the guide (the mask certainly didn't help), so I quit the free tour and followed the free brochure (they have them in several languages) and I was just fine going with that. Most of the people were with guides hired outside the temple and they seemed to do well. It gets quite warm during the day, so my advice is to be there early. There is a lot to see, plan for at least 3-4 hours (combined with the Grand Palace). One more thing, you can't take photos or videos inside the temple.

Was very crowded inside the temple. Would be a good idea to limit the amount of people inside at a time to allow a more enjoyable experience. Prayer can be difficult with everyone trampling around taking selfies and such, not to mention how loud it can be. 5 stars for Buddha, 2 stars for organization.

Everything here is well preserved, the emerald Buddha is kept in the ordination hall or bot.
No photos taken allowed inside the hall so no pictures of Emerald Buddha to share, but it’s magnificent and majestic. I’m proud to be Thai and once in life to visit there.
No shorts 🩳 or revealing outfit allowed there be prepared before step into the temple and after your trip has finished don’t take any taxi 🚖 from there it’s not ordinary taxi the cost way too high I recommend to take a bus go anywhere that far enough from that area then you can take a taxi.
On the way to get there no problem to use taxi or Grab but the way back is super difficult.

If you were to visit only one temple in Bangkok, it might as well be this one. As glamorous and grandiose as a temple can get. Without mentioning the beautiful gardens and scenery.
They change guards periodically and go marching in groups around protecting the palace. As long as you're respectful and don't break any rules, you should have a great time.
And if you happen to be a Buddhist or have similar beliefs, then you'll have a wonderful time.
Even kids might enjoy seeing the giants and sculptures all over the place.
Don't skip on the museum of the Queens fabric. No pictures are allowed on most of the classic dresses and outfits.

The most magnificent and gorgeous temple in Bangkok!
If you only had one day for your trip, definitely visit this temple.
The inside ornaments and design is stunning. The outside is garden is perfect. There are people praying and singing mantra, although I don’t understand Thai, it is a good experience to see this place is still practical in use.

Very beautiful, culturally rich place. You visit here on a combine ticket that you buy for Grand Palace. Must visit place when you are in Bangkok. It provides for a history and the temple is so beautifully designed. The total price of the combined ticket is 500 Thai baht that includes visit to Grand Palace, Emerald Buddha, Museum and the Thai theatre show.

Amazing thai architecture seen in this, the grand palace and the emerald buddha, both are interlinked!! For foreigners they charge a fee of thb 500 for both the emerald buddha and the grand palace!!! Kindly keep in mind no shorts, no torn clothes are allowed, your body should be fully covered!! If not you can buy a Saigon right in front of the temple!!! The place is huge and well maintained

Title: Timeless Majesty: The Grand Palace of Bangkok
A visit to the Grand Palace in Bangkok is a step into a world of unparalleled grandeur and history. The intricate architecture, vibrant gardens, and revered Emerald Buddha create an aura of reverence. The palace's diverse buildings, adorned with captivating art, provide insights into Thai culture and history. A symbol of Thailand's heritage, the Grand Palace stands as a remarkable blend of spirituality, artistry, and regal splendor.

Amazing place! Lots to see! Definitely worth the money!
Be careful; lots of tuktuk drivers will lie to you and say it’s closed. Just checked their website before and you’ll know for sure.
There is a common scam that they’ll do right and bring you to the lucky Buddha instead as it’s closed to tourists

Iconic tourist destination, filled with Thailand's cultural diversity, stories and much more.
The statues and golden Temple blinking in the mid-day sun is just an amazing sight. You have to look up close at the wall, the pillars, the statues to see the details, the complexity which artists put time into.
Around the main site, there is wall mural with so much stories, arts for you to enjoy. If you want to deeper understand the story behind the mural, rent an audio tour or get a tour guide to tell you its story. Magical.
However, be sure to bring an umbrella or you'll have a head-ache from the sun and the bright view of the golden temple.

Is it nice to visit? Sure. Is it worth 500B? I absolutely don’t believe so, especially for a religious site where Thai residents can enter for free but tourists get overcharged. You will need to wear long pants and cover indecent exposed body parts to enter. There are vendors right outside to sell you those at a marked up price.
Ticket includes free admission to an art museum that closes on certain days and a performance show to a theater nearby where you can get free shuttle to at the exit if you have the ticket. I highly recommend going to the Khao show because it is worth 400Baht alone and would make you feel like the 500Baht entrance ticket is somewhat worth it.
The temple itself is pretty nice to see but it’s very crowded nearly everyday. You can see the palace mansion on your way out. There is also an air conditioned museum on your way out.
This would have a higher rating if not for the overpriced ticket.

I find it difficult to come up with words to describe the experience of visiting this remarkable temple. Its opulence is extraordinary, and yet, upon entering I was filled with a sense of tranquility such as I haven’t felt in a while. Perhaps the sincerity of many of those who entered to worship had its effect on me. Regardless, this is a temple that must be experienced to be understood. No photos are allowed in the interior. I believe that’s the way it should be.

It is nice temple with lots of paintings of story of Ramayana in thai style.
The emerald buddha statue is precious.
We stayed inside the main shrine and chant along with monks.

One of the most important and significant Buddhist temples in Bangkok and throughout Thailand, this sacred site draws locals who come to pray with white flowers. I found this tradition truly admirable during my visit to the temple. Moreover, the atmosphere inside was incredibly serene!
The artworks adorning the inner walls are truly astonishing and one could easily spend half an hour simply admiring them. However, it's important to note that using a camera inside the temple is strictly prohibited. The Emerald Buddha Idol, a divine masterpiece, left me in awe. Knowing that such a beautiful artistic, cultural, and religious relic originated from India filled me with a sense of pride as an Indian. (information sourced from the internet) Situated within the Grand Palace complex, this temple is accessible with the same ticket purchased for entry to the Grand Palace.

Yes, this is a must visit. Visiting the Palace is a buy-one-get-two event. In actuality, you'll probably spend more time in the religious portion of the palace (~10% of the site) than in the remainder of the grounds. There is enough to see to keep you busy for a few hours. And it is worth the hours! You will need a map to explore all the nooks and crannies. We walked the entire wall, looking at the artwork. You may want to bone up on your Hindu mythology; there are a lot of mystical creatures and magical bows. Expert tips - Yes, gentlemen do need long pants, which are available on premises, and cheaper (with better variety) if you buy them at a local shop. There is only one entry up on the NE corner of the walled complex. Google Maps show it correctly. I would not try to visit another site on the same day - a walk through, especially on a hot day, is more than enough. I'd recommend staying up in Khao San Road for a few days and visiting the other major sites in the "old city" at a more relaxed pace.

Excellent experience overall, understand how rich Thailand culture and experience their history, Buddhism and architecture marvels. Emerald Buddha temple is huge and you feel very pleasant near the shrine of lord Buddha and the historic events carved around the temple walls. Outside of the temple has these emeralds, gems stone carved into the walls makes it more amazing. When you visit Bangkok this temple is a must to be in the list. If you are a historic person then must have. You can visit with family and kids. Buy the tickets at the temple, if you are a foreigner, the cost is 500 Bahts and get access to Emerald Buddha temple, Grand palace and Queen museum of arts and fashion.

Very nice Temple, it was the first temple that we visited in Bangkok from the list of 5, by far the nicest one. I really like that you have to take off your shoes before going inside the temple and they even show in front at the entry in the temple that you should not point your feet to Buddha.
The premises are wide, and there are lots of things to see, but it is very crowded.
We bought the tickets online so it was bit fast for us, they just had to scan it and in we were.

This is the most expensive ticket I have bought to visit a temple on my trip to Bangkok at 500baht. Although it was a beautiful place, I have enjoyed visiting the less popular temples in Bangkok. There are many tours going on so you keep hearing people explain things very loudly and situations like that.

Thanon Khao San, a bustling urban area, is a popular resting place for backpackers offering various types of accommodations, shops, and bars. Once known as a hippie and backpacker haven, it has now evolved into a more upscale destination while still maintaining its affordable lodging options. Visitors can enjoy shopping for second-hand English books and Thai souvenirs such as clothing, jewelry, and DVDs. Additionally, the area is famous for pirated movies and fake designer products.

Don’t quite get the hype of the street. I had heard so much about it that it kind of felt like we should go and check in out, but walking through it once was enough. It’s incredibly touristy and loud. The famed Khao San Road. Fills of bars and clubs on both sides of the walking street with some food vendors in between them. Pretty normal during the day but comes alive at night. Wat Phra Chetuphon Wimon Mangkhalaram Rajwaramahawihan, also known as the Temple of the Reclining Buddha, is a significant landmark temple in Thailand. The temple grounds offer a serene atmosphere and are home to a massive 46-meter-long reclining Buddha statue. Visitors can explore historic art, statues, and colorful murals depicting over 400 images of the Buddha. Additionally, the temple houses a traditional Thai massage school.
A safe, religious and wonderful environment amidst the crowded passages around. Wat Pho is a very energetic, historical place and the presence of Buddhists in this place has made it a special place for foreign tourists. This is a spiritual space, but full of color. When I was here for photography, I was very surprised by the cleanliness and beauty of all the structures in this place. If you are going to Bangkok as an active tourist, I suggest you go to this lovely place
Alireza Akhlaghi — Google review
The highlight of this temple is the giant golden 150 feet long reclining Buddha. The surroundings of the temple have a few pagodas and Wat Pho is just within walking distance (approximately a 10-minute walk) from the Grand Palace.
Wat Pho is now a center for traditional massage and medicine but was the first public university in Thailand to focus on religion and literature back then.
Other than the reclining Buddha and pagodas, there is nothing much to explore in this temple. It is advisable for visitors to strictly follow the dress code for any temple in Thailand including Wat Pho. Women must wear skirts or pants extending at least to the knee and strictly not wear a top that reveals bare shoulders.

Really pretty temple especially near sunset and it felt really tranquil too, very low traffic noises. However try to leave some extra time so that you can visit the other temple across the river as both close at 6pm. Ladies can enter the vicinity but if you wanna see the giant reclining Buddha or the prayer room you have to have a cover for your shoulders, there are some shawls that you can borrow at these entrances for free and make sure to return it when you’re done.

The vibe is extremely positive here and it’s a must visit place as this is one of the tourist attraction. This place is maintained well and is neat. There’s a separate place to offer prayers and to burn incense sticks. Burn incense sticks only in the dedicated area allotted.
If you are buying a small Lord Buddha statue, do not place it down as this is considered disrespectful and please maintain dress code here as you will be asked to otherwise no entry into the temple.
If wearing clothing which has Buddha print on it then the entry into the temple is barred.
Please dress appropriately.

A wonderful temple. Thailand's cultural heritage is as always fascinating and awe-inspiring. The territory of the temple is quite large, it will probably take about one and a half hours to appreciate all the sights. I liked the mosaic structures in the courtyard of the temple and the interior painting of the temples and the variety of statues the most. Well, of course, the statue of the reclining Buddha looks very cool, as well as the painting on his feet. The entrance ticket costs 200 baht, also with the entrance ticket you can get a free bottle of water from the machine.

The Reclining Buddha at Wat Pho is an amazing sight. The figure is 46m long and 15m high, making it the largest reclining Buddha in Thailand. It symbolizes the moment when Buddha entered Nirvana, marking the culmination of all reincarnations.🤩✨All over the temple complex you will see the The 99 Pagodas and numerous Buddhas everywhere. You need to wear proper clothes like no shorts, no revealing clothes ( above the knee, tube).
You need to take hat and umbrellas with you as the temperature is very hot and humid.

This temple is famous for its Reclining Buddha and located near Grand palace so that you may make plan to visit altogether in a same day.
Reclining Buddha is so big that we cannot see it at once and have to see it part by part. There are some spaces inside to view the part of it and you have to make a queue and wait until enjoying or taking pictures of it. I think building for this huge Buddha is so small that it is really crowded (hot as well).
Along with the size of this sculpture, it is also quite unique to enjoy the impressive patterns in his soles. Worth a visit if you visit Grand palace or place near this temple.

Beautiful temple, open later than some of the smaller temples (closes 1930). Also known as temple of the reclining Buddha. It's actually a huge complex with multiple ornate buildings and stupas which are lit up at night. Spectacular to see day or night, can walk the grounds after 1700, but most of the buildings will be closed. 300B for entry.

This temple, in contrast to the bustling crowds at Wat Arun or The Grand Palace, offers a serene experience with plenty to explore. Personally, I found great enjoyment in my visit here.
The Reclining Buddha’s immense size makes it a challenge to capture the entire statue in a single photo. You can also spend 20 baht to get a cup of coins, and then putting coins into a queue of bowls.
The temple's layout is impressive, featuring four sets of towers positioned in different directions, each comprising four beautifully designed towers. Navigating through these architectural wonders is a visual treat.
Be prepared for a brief wait to enter the main prayer room as there is usually a queue outside. However, the experience inside is worth the wait.
To keep visitors hydrated, there's a convenient free water fountain on the premises. Overall, this temple provides a quieter yet enriching alternative, with its unique attractions and thoughtful amenities making it a delightful stop on your itinerary.

A very impressive temple that features the famous Golden Buddha. Purchase a ticket in the stall found just to the left of the temple, then climb the stairs to the top. You’ll be asked to remove your shoes before entering. The interior is ornate and it really is impressive. Photos are allowed but they ask you to refrain from taking any videos. Found this while walking around. The main temple was closed because it was pretty late, but the area across the parking lot with the big Buddha was still open. Although there was an entry fee, this temple was still something to marvel at. It was cool to see the clean structure and beautiful Buddha statue at the top. I didn’t purchase the museum tickets, but after the first staircase was a great opportunity for photos, especially worth it if you wait for people to clear out. Definitely recommend!

Museum is at top class, they have explained in detail how the thought process was brought to reality.
Pure Gold and casting them over clay over gold and paint when gold color was a master stroke idea. Brilliantly implemented. Holy place, the vibe is soo peaceful. You feel the experience of god spending time with you.
Sit inside for few minutes and you are on top of the world. Do visit with your family and spend some vacation time here.

One of its most famous attractions is the Golden Buddha, a magnificent statue made of solid gold, which is one of the largest gold statues in the world. The temple complex also features beautiful architecture and historical artifacts, making it a popular destination for visitors interested in Thai culture and Buddhism.

The largest Golden Buddha statue in the world is installed in this temple. The height of this statue is 15 feet 9 inches and weights 5.5 tons. This is said to be more than 700 years old.
In addition to this statue, there are a number of other statues in this temple complex.

Massive golden Buddha. Impressive to see, especially if you're interested in cultural immersion a bit.
There's also a black Buddha nearby, both Buddha are basically facing each other (but the golden one is in a temple)..
Pro-tip: watch some YouTube video's to learn more about Buddhism up front and/or on your way there. I tried figuring out why people would bow and pray to Buddha statues, but not entirely convinced with my findings so far.

A beautiful temple with lovely views across the city. This was the first temple that we visited during our visit to Bangkok and it was absolutely stunning. The entrance cost was incredibly reasonable and I would definitely recommend stopping by. Do bear in mind that you will need to do a lot of stairs, so if mobility is an issue it will not suit you.

Beautiful temple, it gets and stays crowded at least that's how it was when I visited. Great view of the city. They don't allow recordings inside of the temple and keep in mind that they do expect people to dress accordingly, if wearing shorts they need to be below the knees and in the case for women they should have something to cover. Although there were signs and they kept repeating it I didn't see anyone being turned away.

5500Kg Buddha statue is a must visit.
Photography is prohibitted.
Need to wear dress which cover major areas.
Cap is not allowed inside the temple.
Maximum 15 to 20 mins required to cover the full area.

A very Calm and quiet temple. The atmosphere is very divine and spiritual. The place is well maintained. The temple situated in high altitude. We need to climb around 50+ steps to reach the room where the idol is placed. Overall it's having a wonderful atmosphere.

Impressive architecture.
Very reverent and clean.
The biggest solid gold Buddha is in this temple, definitely a sight to behold.
Make sure you get up close and personal with the walls, but be very careful, they are hand painted from the floor to the ceiling! Very impressive.

First temple we visited in Thailand, right on the outskirrs of Bangkok. Chinatown, just off of Yaowarat Rd (main street of Chinatown). Beautiful ornate temple, very popular with the locals, housing a very shiny gold Buddha. Good views of the surrounding city from the top.
One of the listed must see temples in Bangkok even if the temple complex is on the smaller side.
Asiatique The Riverfront is a unique open-air mall and night market located along the Chao Praya River in Bangkok. It offers stunning views of the river, featuring a 200-foot-tall Ferris wheel and a two-story merry-go-round. This former international trade port has been transformed into a shopping and cultural hub, with boutiques, restaurants, and traditional Thai performances like Muay Thai Live and mini-puppetry shows.
Great place to bring your date. Some nice eateries and boat dining. Unfortunately, many shops are still closed. Plenty of space to stroll around and enjoy the river view. Pretty hard to go by public transport. Best you can do is by taxi.

Life time experience. Best cruise to be used is Royal Princess You can go for 3rd Deck open floor. Ensure you reach early before 6.00 to get booking confirmation. They provide International food and huge variety of items. You don't feel that you had spent 2 hrs of trip need to extend more. Kids loved lot.

Generally not bad but I won’t purposefully head there unless I happen to be around the area.
- The place is organised by Warehouses and the map shows what’s in which warehouse.
- There are also cruises leaving from the pier which you can have dinner on.
- There is quite a variety of restaurants there and somewhat a sunset view.
- Interestingly there is a Ferris Wheel and a Haunted House ride if you’re interested in it

One of the beautiful places in Bangkok for evening strollers. This place has the night market, many more restaurants and mainly important piers for the cruises. Definitely place is heavily crowded, however any couple can find this place a romantic one. Free steamers are available from 4pm to 11.30pm to reach that place or vice versa. Lot more happening than any of the places as the cruises check-in desks are located in front of the pier 1. Would say this place is a must visit. One of the best night market for the shopaholic.

Wonderful experience! The warehouses make it easy to know where everything is at. We enjoyed walking around and looking, shopping, seeing. Then we ate dinner at The Aloha - Hot and Spicy Thai restaurant. Food was very tasty and delicious. Fried fish is so wonderful. Plus fresh salmon with Thai spicy sauce. Then more people watching before getting Mixue I Love You ice cream. Strawberry swirl ice cream was #1 along with lemonade so sweet!

Update Feb 2022
Only worth a visit if you have never been here before or just to take night photos of the place when not many people are around
Most restaurants and shops at the front and middle are still closed. There is nothing to do here. The restaurants by the rivers are open, if you are into that river view and music.
The carnival is still open with few customers: the merry-go-round, the haunted mansion, and the Ferry Wheels.

A good place to go in Bangkok. There is no entry fee. I went to see the cabaret show there. The show was good too. The riverfront is very peaceful. I mean if there are not many people there. Else, a good place for a picture.
They have many handicraft shops and restaurants. If you are buying something there, you can definitely negotiate with prices. Many other brands are also there.
Ah! And the Ferris wheel 🎡. It was a good ride. The ticket is for 500 baht. In my opinion, a bit overpriced. But a good experience. I clicked pictures of just this. 😄

We travelled here by car and parked in the car park, it took around 2 hours with the rush hour traffic. The car park is very big and spacious. There’s a-lot if traffic, so just be aware. There is also a lot of street food dotted around. The attraction itself is well designed with Disney Princess activities as soon as you enter and various other Disney themed activities. We enjoyed it very much and it is free to enter. There are so many shops and food areas to eat at. The riverside dining is also worth checking out if you have time and there is a talk ferris wheel to look over Bangkok on. Worth the drive and the walk to have a look around.

Well, this is one fun place. A mix of night bazaar and eatery. Lot of local shopping, restaurants and riverside sittings. Weekends are crowded.
There is also ferry service to the famous ICON SIAM MALL. Do try that too.
Put it in your bucket list. A must visit.

Lovely except for some of the shops. They trapped my companion and technically blocked the exit until they were forced to buy a shawl from them. As much as possible do not enter the shops unless you really want to buy the item and always ask for the price upfront first since a majority don't display their prices and just tell a number. Other than that the place is really lovely.

If you have time to visit this waterfront place, GO! It was a little out of the way from where I stayed, however it was worth the trip. My group hailed two tuk tuks which drove like speed demons, nonetheless we arrived safe and sound.
There's so much to do here from dining, shopping, and attractions. It's family friendly and perfect for adults too. The restaurant (I don't remember if there was more than one) where my group ate outside was so nice with good flavor and reasonably priced. I will come again in the future.

Very beautiful scenic beauty...you will love the river side ambience. It's amazing for chilling out and spending some quality time with your loved ones. The Chang ride costs 500 Thai baht per person but we did not take that since we already had one at the London eye and felt the same there. There are other activities for kids as well. There is a food court kind of thing that has food from different corners of the world. The costs are decent. There is a flourishing market that has souvenirs, clothes, typical Thai things. Overall you will love the riverside ambience and coziness with live music, fresh air and you can also enjoy cruise rides. We loved visiting here. It's clean. Toilets are there too.

A typical tourist spot. It's great to be on the Riverside and watch all of the boats.
There are primarily restaurants and food stalls here, interspersed with "proper shops" and market stalls.
We suspect it was a lot busier pre the virus as there were a lot of empty, or closed, units.
There are also numerous fairground rides and plenty of music in the evening.
Certainly worth a visit and somewhere good to eat

Good spot for foreign travelers. Many kind of food served here. The river cruise needs to be early booked before departure time. I do not recommend the low price cruise as it feels like you need to compete with other travelers for food!! The buffet is not real. It just served on period of time.

This is a good place to spend a few hours! Lots of food options, we had some great seafood and meat skewers in a small food court in the middle, but there’s also several restaurants. We enjoyed wandering round all the shops and picking up some clothes and souvenirs that are different from the stuff you usually see in the markets. Everything is well signposted so you can get around. We did the haunted mansion (300baht), it was fairly short but it was a ride-on version so you sit on a ride and go round instead of walking which was fun! Would be great for kids. There is also a ferris wheel and river cruises to go up and down the river or have dinner on which seemed good but we didn’t get the chance as we had other plans to get to. Asiatique was clean and well looked after with good clean toilet facilities. A good place to do some shopping if you want something a bit more organised than the local markets, but not as commercial as the shopping malls.

Asiatique The Riverfront wasn't just a shopping and dining experience; it was an adventure for the senses! The lively atmosphere, coupled with the stunning riverside location, made for a truly special evening.
One of the highlights was the incredible variety of food stalls. Forget your typical mall fare! Here, you could embark on a culinary journey through Thailand, with vendors offering everything from fragrant curries and pad thai to more unique and exotic options. IF you Feeling adventurous, you could took the plunge and tried a skewer of crispy crickets. There were even crocodile and other unusual meats on offer.
For those with less adventurous palates, there were still plenty of delicious choices, including some mango sticky rice for dessert – a classic Thai sweet treat.
Wandering through the stalls, the vibrant colors and enticing aromas were a feast for the eyes and nose. It felt like a modern take on a traditional night market, with the added bonus of chic restaurants overlooking the river for those seeking a more upscale dining experience.
While the shops offered a good selection of souvenirs and clothing, it was the food scene that truly stole the show. Asiatique The Riverfront is a must-visit for anyone looking for a unique and delicious way to experience Bangkok's culinary scene. Just come with an open mind and an adventurous spirit – you might just surprise yourself with what you discover!

Nice zoo! All animals are energetic and beautiful here. You can see how they care about the animals by creating the most wild-like environment!
Also, the feeding activities are very interesting (but pricey😓). You can feed baby tiger, giraffe, kangaroo, camel, and etc.

It's a great place to spend the day, loaded with a variety of shows and animals. Macaws, a Walrus, Meerkats, Kangaroos, an Owl, Turtle, Pelicans, Flamingos, and more were there. I attended the Orangutan show, Spy Wars, Elephant show, Dolphin show, and Sea Lion show. While the Dolphin show is considered the highlight, I personally preferred the Sea Lion show. Additionally, the Elephant painting was quite interesting to see. I skipped the cowboy show as it got too hot. I would recommend bringing a cap/hat, umbrella, and sunglasses if you're visiting in the hot season. A major drawback here is that they don't allow food or drinks inside; you have to purchase them inside, which is slightly more expensive.
Later, I visited the open zoo adjacent to the park. You can see it when you go to the Giraffe feeding area - carnivores animals are kept in another section bounded with electric fencing. It was nice to see the animals roaming around, but as it was very hot, even the tigers were inside their puddles.

Exploring Safari World in Bangkok, Thailand was a fantastic adventure, and the shows were undeniably a standout feature of my visit. The entertainment options were diverse and thoroughly enjoyable, catering to a wide range of preferences.
The variety of shows, from animal performances to thrilling stunts, kept me engaged and entertained throughout the day. The level of skill and coordination displayed by the performers, coupled with the unique blend of wildlife interaction, added an extra layer of excitement to the overall experience.
One of the highlights was witnessing the incredible intelligence and talents of the animals showcased in the performances. The shows not only provided entertainment but also offered valuable insights into the natural behaviors and abilities of various species.
Moreover, the interactive elements allowed visitors to feel more connected to the wildlife. Whether it was getting up close to the animals or participating in activities, the shows at Safari World created a sense of immersion and engagement.
The seamless combination of entertainment and education made the experience not only enjoyable but also enriching. I would highly recommend Safari World to anyone seeking a day filled with fun, excitement, and a deeper appreciation for the incredible world of wildlife.
One can feed various animals or take pictures with them all at the prices mentioned there. The shows are timed so make sure to be mindful about the time and reach the show to watch fully.

A very good place to visit. The shows they're playing is good we had no time to see the sea lion show due to our time schedule so please try to enter the place in the morning itself, we saw dolphin show, elephant show and one spy war show these all were really good.We can see every animal living in the forest and they are all together living in one compound. Only lions, tigers and bears were separated from them for a longer life for other animals 😅. It's a wonderful experience. We can ride with our own vehicle and that's a good thing. Only thing to remember is to close the windows and not drive fast inside this perimeter .

Went here today this is what I thought of the place
1—-managing a park I will give them -10 , you turn up the ticket counters are a mess someone people are following politeness and lining up and other just walk in and go up to the counters so there is no one from management ensuring the smooth flow of people doing the right thing
2— extremely very busy park we went on a Friday and you have to really push people if you wanna watch a show very very busy
3—-they say no bottles and food allowed because they want you to buy their overpriced water and drinks and food
4— all the animal parts you go to every single one of them they wanna make money from you by selling you a bucket of food for 150-200 local currency
5— not the cleanest park I guess it’s a huge park and may be less staff don’t know
6—- the animals did not look healthy to us it was a hot day and they were all grasping for air may be not enough shady areas for animals
7— they had few shows we watched 4 of them you have to make sure you really rush to get good seats or else forget it don’t bother even watching them
8— every single thing inside the park you wanna do you pay extra
9— parking is free
10- safari park now that was. The best part of the trip
11- will highly recommend do not go in the zoo bus paying 100 local currency per person you won’t have a good time at all
12-we rented a car and went inside the safari in our rented car best experience ever
13- certainly I would say they could improve the park
14- tiger lions areas was the best worth it
15- drive your own car you can park in the tigers encounter and just stay in your car and watch them a very good experience indeed
16- there is a seven eleven right next to the exit so you can go get your normal priced drinks and food
17- you would need the whole day easy .
18- we came across some polite staff and some very very very horrible staff that was not a nice thing to do see specially towards kids so that was not a nice thing
I would certainly recommend the place worth. A visit

You have to visit this place if you are visiting Bangkok with family and kids. Huge zoo area, neat and well maintained animal cages. The ride at the entrance will give you experience of roaming in the jungle and witness wildlife in their natural habitat. The experience is amazing. If you love wild life, you have to visit this place. Especially if you have kids. So many shows to watch. Elephant show, Dolphin show, Orangutan Show and most favourite Sea lion show. You need a lot of time to explore the entire park. Wonderful experience for a family outing. Most shows are in Thai language. Thats the only drawback.

It was a busy day at Safari World. They offered a bus for an extra 100 because walking inside the zoo isn't allowed. Maybe renting a car is better for seeing the animals. The animal shows are a bit crowded, making finding a seat difficult. If you want to feed the animals, you need to pay extra for their food. Also, they don't allow outside drinks or food.Despite the challenges, it was definitely worth it.

Siam Amazing Park, also known as Siam Park City, is a massive amusement and water park located in the Khan Na Yao District of Bangkok, Thailand. It holds the title of being Asia's largest water theme park and offers an array of attractions including wave pools, exhilarating slides like the 7-story-high Speed Slider and the twisting Super Spiral, and even a simulated wave rider at Flowhouse.
We went over the weekend to this Thai version of Disneyland, known by Bangkokian as "Suan Siam", now called "Siam Amazing Park" We love their water park here, I mean really nice with the world's biggest wave pool. Our last time here was one and half year ago. There were many amusement park rides my kids went on and they loved it. And if you are worried about the crowded pool or long line with many people, this is PERFECT TIME TO GO, it is not so many people. CLOSE TO BANGKOK, easy to go and worth money, let's have fun. Last thing, I am amazed by the food at the restaurant and the kiosks around the park. Their tastes are so GOOD and there is one new building with many workshops you can spend time with your kids there or waiting for them at their coffee shop. :) Enjoy.

Probably it was a nice park years ago but now lots of areas and facilities are destroyed and even abandoned. Overall impression that it is not maintained and renovated. Quite some rides are closed (see photo with the map) - probably broken as well. Huge area but not very crowded (we've been on Sunday) - seems like not super popular. We've bought tickets online for 600b at one of the sellers suggested by Google (not park's official site). The same ticket is sold for 1200b at the counter and their site.
On a positive side - the ticket includes a pretty good buffer lunch. Nice area around the wave pool and the "log flume" attraction. Nice illumination at evening time. Nicely looking territory around.

There wasn’t any people at all! I loved it because I didn’t have to wait for a line at all during the whole day apart from some major rides like the big water slide in the water park section of the siam park. Some of the rides were under maintenance but apart from that, they were pretty fun and I highly recommend going on all of them because since it’s a small amusement park, it’s pretty easy to be done with all of them. The water park section also can be done within an hour or two as well and most of the restaurants such as the buffet one is located at the water park section. Remember to bring some swim clothes!

This park has seen way better days. Not crowded but it had lost its gloss. It’s like a park on a Sunday stroll. Price wise is good as it’s really meant for the locals. The water park inside is quite empty too. Some rides are closed. It needs a major revamp. The toilets in the water park are grimy and slimy.

I enjoyed my day here. I bought the all access ticket online in advance for 1000 Baht. I went on a week day and it wasn't too busy. The roller coasters had no queues. The log ride one was the most popular so I had to wait about 20 minutes. The water park section was really nice. The wave pool is like a beach. The slides are pretty fun but can hurt you, definitely listen to instructions and try the small one first. I got some bruises on my back but still had fun. You can't bring your own food or drink in. There's a food area where you get a cash card and pay with that. The choices are OK, not great. Overall I recommend it. This place is entered via Bangkok World which is also quite interesting, but I will review that separately.
Safety tips:
- Listen to the water slide instructions. Hold your hands behind your head or you will hurt your neck.
- For the big slides, if you pick up speed you will get 'air', don't let your hands loose, just trust that you will land on the slide again.
- I recommend taking a deep breath and holding while you go down so you don't get water in your nose.
- For the guys, try to keep your legs together when you hit the water (kinda hits you in the balls haha)
- For the rollercoasters, keep your head pressed against the seat as much as you can to reduce/prevent any sudden neck movements or head hits.
For the park owners - I can feel the joints in the tunnel slides going down, which kinda hurts, see if you can smooth those out more.
Thanks

Actually tried it 6 times in a row. Should have loved the Vortex - Roller Coaster too, however it was painful on the ear and neck after the ride. Went on a weekday, so there are not much people. No need to wait in a queue. Waterpark is absolutely great. A lot of things to do. Slides, lazy river, fountains and the biggest wave pool in the world is here. Place was clean. They follow health protocol due to covid-19 pandemic. Staff were nice and cool. It's been my 12th times here. Will definitely go back again. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

My trip was on a rainy day, unfortunately I didn’t enjoy all rides since some of them are closed during the rain and they close them for safety reasons.
But generally, even though its a very old theme park, we enjoyed our day and I recommend this park for couples and families.
-Staff are nice and welcoming
-Prices are very low compared to theme parks around the world.
-Food quality is average and food prices are affordable.

This place has a big variety of rides to enjoy and spend the day. If you are seeking some thrilling rides I would recommend the boomerang and the vortex. If you are going for a calm ride I would highly recommend the observation tower. It has an Air conditioner and it is very relaxing. Overall I enjoyed my time here and highly suggest visiting this park.

The park had 5 attractions (4 of the main ones) closed on the day we went even though nothing was indicated when we booked. We booked the lunch option included which was very disappointing with very low quality food (pasta with ketchup as an example…) The rest was quite fun if you like adrenaline activities. Overall I would rate 3 stars
Mario Assaf — Google review
The place is good but when we went there the best items were out of service. So we couldn't enjoy it to the fullest. So the entry price is too high. And the water park needs more activities.
Harshana Dharmapriya Thumbovila — Google review
Yes, some of the rides are a bit dated, but for the price this is a truly fun place to spend the day. I highly recommend going to the water park during the hotter part of the day because the theme park area can be a bit deadly during the 11 am to 2 pm hours. The rollercoasters and flume rides are a ton of fun and really quite thrilling.
There's a variety of inexpensive food options inside and outside of the park.
Be sure to buy your tickets through one of the online outlets before coming. You will get a substantial discount.

Great play ground for my two kiddies grandson. Even adult can enjoy if they have the brave heart to ride the scary roller coaster and other frightful rides. A fantastic water park. Value for money.

Spent 3 hours in the park today. It was actually fun tho. As a person loves to go amusement park, this is one of the best park recently in Thailand right now (belong with Dreamworld). I rode 6 rides by myself and thad so much fun hehe. The Vortex one was INSANE AND INCREDIBLE, it was faster than it looked on some POV youtube videos. Log Flume was fun also. The food was so cheap and soso, not good but not bad. The carousel at the etrance zone was Amazing view to take some picture there too.Kinda sad that Grand Canyon Express and Africa Adventure closed down and I couldn't experience them. Overall, my MOST FUN DAY EVER. I can't wait to be back there again in the future!!!

Amazing, very fun and exciting. You can stay here all day. Time just slips by while you're having fun. Because of height restrictions, children over ten years old will have more fun. I don't know if anyone has made the same mistake as me. The lockers in the water park can only be switched on and off once after coin-operated, otherwise, they need to vote 20 baht again.

A nice place to spend a day. Some of the attractions were closed for renovation, but still lots of things to do. There is a big pool and a nice water playground for kids.
I recommend buying ticket in klook app in advance. It’s cheaper.

I have to divide my experience into 2 parts, the theme park I'm not a fan since most of the rides are partially malfunctioning or have some minor issues. The major rides were exciting, I recommend boomerang, vortex and plume log. The water park is a blast, my 9 and 11 year old children were having so much fun all day. The buffet in included ticket package that we bought was definitely worth it, delicious and many varieties of freshly made food and endless soda fountain was a blessing in the middle of scorching heat during lunch hour. Overall, all that matters is we as a family had fun and although it took us almost 1 hour taxi ride to get there from Phrom Phong and 2 hours bus ride home back, we would do it again next time we visit Bangkok. There was no crowd at all when we came on Friday.

1. The rides are amazing.
2. There was no locker room.
3. Most of the rides where not working, one of the roller coaster was tested and yet failed very dangerous.
4. Could have been better

I'm honest guide, The theme park is located far from City so plan accordingly. The park is awesome in both dry and water games.. Some rides was closed.. You know what boomerang dry game and vortex rollor coaster was the one which make you so high and scary.. My tip is to get including lunch while purchasing the ticket which should be inclusion of food.
Hoysala Ragava — Google review
By far the WORST theme park I’ve ever been to. The wait for the log flume said 30 minutes, ended up being 2.5 hours, vortex was 2 hours and both not worth it.
Negatives;
- old and forgotten
- food stands everywhere
- super packed with people
- pools were so full we gave up and left
- slides had 1 hour + wait
- all rides were 1.5 - 2.5 hour waits
- 1000 bhat
- 4 rides were down (no use)
- dirty bathroom
- the rides that were open had half the seats closed
Positives;
- cheap if you don’t by the all day unlimited pass
Conclusion;
If you like queues by all means… felt more like a market than amusement park.
Harley Flahaut — Google review
It is quite old and small. The good stuff is that you can play in the water and theme park at the same place. Your can rent the lock inside the water park for a day (unlimited access).

Should buy ticket from Agents . It cheaper than Walk In. You need to buy 1 day ahead tickets. and buy include Buffet also. This is cheap and fun place to visit with Kids.

The Paseo Mall Lat Krabang is a local shopping mall located near Suvarnabhumi Airport, making it a convenient stop for travelers. The area offers a variety of dining options, including a street food market in the evening with high-quality and diverse food choices. In addition to the outdoor market, there are also Western restaurants and cafes, as well as supermarkets with worldwide food selections.
There are many delicious local foods.

Want to spend some time during layover or while waiting for your flight, this is an okay place near the airport. But a better place is the mall next to it. Try that over this.

The mall is super cute! The food hall was randomly closed but at the same time the little street market at the back is really nice with some excellent food! There is also a decent convenience store to stock up on water and overall I like a lot how they combine the mall with the street food atmosphere! Close to BKK airport so this is great for those in transit too.

Nice place to kill some time and spend the last Baht. There's a small food "mall" outside which is quite simple but connected to this there are lots of Western restaurants and cafés, a small "mall" with clothing-, tech- and pharmacy-stores and billions of ATMs. There are also two(?) larger supermarkets with a great variety of worldwide food and in the evening the outside part turns into a lively streetfood market - and it's clean!!! Ate for 85 Baht all in all and it was the cheapest and best Thai food I had during my whole holidays.

Kind of reminds me of an open air shopping mall, we were staying in one of the many airport hotels waiting for a flight out the following morning and visited here in the evening after visiting the Robinson mall up the road. Food park was closed as were many shops, but there seemed to be many market stalls selling all kinds of food and stuff, found the selection to be much better than the food park in Robinsons. Well worth visiting if you are in the area.

An absolute standout of a golf course! I would rate this in my top 10 methods of Thailand.
This course knows how to make their customers feel welcome. From the moment you drop off your bag, you are made to feel welcome.
The course has a great layout with short and long holes, exceptionally well maintained with excellent, challenging greens—very strategic bunker placements.
The caddies, are some of the most well trained I have encountered. From knowing your club selection to reading the greens. Very few courses in Thailand can say they have caddies like this.
The Japanese hot bath is a great way to end your round.

Interesting golf course, the course condition is absorbing the water in wet condition still problem some in some area, especially in rainy season which shower every afternoon. But so far the first 9 holes are in good green condition and challenging layout.
I like all par 3 which has variety of distances and flag position.
The water hazard is every where, beware of it.
The food in the restaurant is decent taste and portion.
The cleaness in the locker is good.

Great golf course with wide fairways and challenging holes. Ok caddy experience. Restaurant wasn't too bad. Great accommodation and excellent value. I hope to come back again.
Neil McArthur — Google review
It's a wonderful course, and well managed. In Thailand they tend to pack the tee times too close together so sometimes play will be slow. At this location, they tend to space things out generally ok. The course is in great condition, and I would recommend playing here. Possibly one of my favorite tracks here in Thailand.
March 2023: I need to recall my comments about time management. I think the speed was acceptable only due to covid in Asia. Recently this course is the same as others in Thailand which means waiting from tee box to tee box. Today's round took 5 hours. As illustrated in the photo, people wait for hole #1.

Quite interesting green and layout of bunker. But, caddy ability is so poor. Too young. 15-17 yrs. Lotus valley shall train them well.
Ko Sichang is a picturesque island that can be easily reached by ferry from Bangkok. It offers various hiking trails, beaches for relaxation and scooter rentals to explore the island. You can hire a bike to travel conveniently from top to bottom and relish local seafood in numerous restaurants. Although it has limited beaches, the stunning sunsets compensate for it. This place is ideal for running enthusiasts as the roads are good with some great hills.
Koh Si Chang, Thailand – Travel Guide
Not to be confused with the much larger and more popular island of ‘Koh Chang’ in Trat province, Koh Si Chang is a magical little island close to Bangkok that exists mostly unknown to international travellers!
This piece of paradise in the Gulf of Thailand only has one beach, which is quite small, and the mountainous terrain makes this an interesting island to explore.
Unlike nearby islands, Koh Si Chang is not a party destination and doesn’t even have any bars in town! With little tourist infrastructure to attract people, the island stays relatively quiet, especially on weekdays. However, despite the laid-back atmosphere, there is plenty to do to keep visitors busy.
Koh Si Chang is primarily a fishing island, and the town is filled with people who make their living from the sea.
Due to the fact that, for the time being, so few foreign travellers visit the island, the majority of residents don’t work in the tourism industry, although this is rapidly changing.
However, at the moment, instead of trying to sell you a cheap souvenir or a snack, locals typically just go about their day and don’t bother travellers. However, don’t think that people here are rude! When you stop to talk to people, you’ll receive nothing but smiles and gracious hospitality. This is the way Thailand is meant to be!
The ferry pulls up to a pier in the heart of town, which is also where are the restaurants and the majority of the attractions are. However, you can rent a motorbike right on the pier which will allow you to head straight to your accommodation if you’re travelling light. Many resorts also offer pick-up from the pier.

A small island off Sri Racha. Getting there is via the public jetty near Sri Racha Park and only cost 50b. This place is a gem
There are little to no foreign tourist and usually consist of locals only. It has a beautiful Palace and one really nice beach. Its not going to be a ko Samui or a ko Chang but its special on its own way. Also, if you can don't miss the native white squirrel here which is found on the southern part of the island. They look beautiful but are very shy.

A beautiful island that is extremely easy and relatively quick to visit from Bangkok. Hire a bike and explore the island from top to bottom very easily. Lots of local seafood restaurants to enjoy. Limited on beaches but the outstanding sunsets make up for it. A great island for running enthusiasts - good roads and some great hills. Stay at one of the local wooden hut b&b’s for a slightly more off grid experience. It’s not for those who are looking to fill their days with activities but more suited to those looking for a complete reset.

Beautiful island peaceful and quiet compare with the tourist crowded Pattaya. But overall the boat service to the island was a nightmare. The fishing boat modified my family and me boarded was lack of safety even thought it has the life jacket equipped. The boat’s boarding walk way was too narrow. An accident happened during my trip back as one local fell to the sea. Just be prepared and caution when travel with elder and children.

What I liked about the small, cozy island of Ko Si Chang: # No cars allowed! Only scooters and stylish tuktuks. # Very little number of tourists, so no noisy night life. # Diversified hilly terrain with super satisfying narrow winding roads for scooter riding (rent your own Zoomer for 300 bht/24h). # Some quiet resorts and natural nooks where you can hide from the world and avoid crowds - good for writers or thinkers perhaps. # Dry microclimate: you feel like in Greece for a change, not a greenhouse. # Wonderful vistas from a promenade to the west and other high points. # Some choice of vegan food in certain restos. # Low prices. # So close to Bkk, 4 hrs by bus and ferry in total. # Smiling friendly locals.
Be aware of sea urchins (bring plastic shoes) and jellyfish in the ocean. Be prepared that life slows down rapidly right after disembarking and you might need some time to get in sync.

What I love about this island, it is really accessible from Bangkok and worth the visit with all it’s beauty and wonderful locals. You can eat amazing seafood dishes and ride a rental scooter around the island. You’ll see some wild bore with its young roaming around and the temples and views are gorgeous. Given the island is relatively small, it’s perfect for a weekend getaway i.e. to escape the busy city life with many beautiful options of places to stay to choose from.

Khao Sam Muk is a well-known mountain peak that provides magnificent panoramic views of the bay and is considered a local emblem of protection. This massive dike may be one of the largest in the world, but it is not very clean due to its abundance of monkeys. You can climb to the summit using stairs, where you will be rewarded with stunning views of the ocean. If you continue up the road, Monkey Hill awaits where you can overlook the city.

There are some floors and you can view the town of Angsila at the top of the floors.
There are a lot of wall paintings in the temple. Too many. But it seems all the painting is in Chinese words.

Bang Saen Ville is situated in Tambon Saen Suk, Mueang Chonburi District, eastern Thailand, and is approximately 108 km away from Bangkok. This well-known beach destination holds a significant reputation due to its proximity to Bangkok and Pattaya, which is globally recognized as an attractive tourist spot. Being a favored choice among tourists, Bang Saen Ville offers visitors easy access to both the bustling city of Bangkok and the beaches of Pattaya.
Located in Khao Yai National Park, Haew Narok Waterfall is the largest and highest waterfall in the park. It consists of three tiers and is particularly popular during the rainy season. To reach the viewpoint for this beautiful cascade, visitors must walk approximately 1 kilometer from the main road. The waterfall stands at about 150 meters high and is known for its steepness and strong currents, which add an element of danger to its beauty.
One of the better waterfalls, at least for water drop and volume. Aside from the discriminatory and excessive 500 baht for foreigners to enter the park this is one of the better parks to visit, in part to see the waterfalls and the hike through a wet forest. The walk to the falls takes you down some steep stairs, but it is worth it. Definitely worth a visit, and but for the excessive fees I'd go again. In addition to the falls, just the ride through the park is very nice.

It's a very nice half day driving trip. Driving here will pass through most of the National Park and get great lookout views. Beware the aggressive monkeys at the carpark. Our chips got stolen from the car by one. Walking down the trail is easy. Coming back up is another story.... Take your time and enjoy the view.

The haew Narok waterfall is a transliteration of the valley of hell waterfall, and that name is tragically too apt, as about three years ago, over twenty elephants perished, (jumping down the ravine), in an effort to save one calf that had fallen.
As a tourist attraction, it's the leading one in Khao Yai.
It's free, there's a pleasant path of, I guess, 500m, ending in about four rather steep sets of steps which lead down to an observation area.
It's fairly impressive, about a 90m drop, I think, and is of course best viewed in the rainy season, albeit it falls all year...

It's difficult to imagine that is startlingly beautiful National Park is only 2 1/2 hours from Bangkok. It's well worth the entrance fee for foreigners of 400thb and there are even campgrounds if you want. If you go about 15 minutes outside the park there's more than enough hotels to satisfy every budget. Haew Narok waterfall has a well equiped parking area so you can grab a snack going in or coming out. Please be sure to pack out and trash as to not spoil this marvelous nature area.

I recently visited Haew Narok Waterfall and it was a truly breathtaking experience! While it's a bit of a trek to get there - about a 15-minute walk from the entrance along a 1km path - the journey is well worth it.
The stairs to reach the waterfall base are quite steep, so it's important to be prepared and have some stamina. But once you arrive, you'll be rewarded with stunning views of this beautiful waterfall. Even though the water volume was not massive at the time of my visit, the waterfall was still a sight to behold.
The natural beauty of Haew Narok Waterfall is truly mesmerizing, and the sound of the cascading water is incredibly peaceful. It's the perfect place to escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and connect with nature.
Overall, I highly recommend a visit to Haew Narok Waterfall to anyone looking for a peaceful and beautiful outdoor experience. Just make sure to bring comfortable shoes and be prepared for a bit of a workout on the stairs!

The waterfall was stunning especially after the rain.
Walking down and up the long stairs could be challenging. But it was worth the effort. Prepare to walk around 20 - 30 minutes each way with steep stairs.
Be careful of leeches especially around the wet area of the track.
Please help keep this beautiful clean by leaving no trash there.

Even though the deep and scary stairs step in the end of the walk way to the waterfall, but the view and most of the atmosphere is spectacular!!! Literally, not far away to walk. One of the most spectacular natural sights we saw in Thailand. Definitely worth a visit. There is a bit of a hike to get to the waterfal (about 1 to 2 km) but mostly along a well maintained, paved path. There is a very steep staircase at the end, but any able bodied visitor should be able to manage it.

The Verona at Tub Lan is an unconventional hotel that features cowboy-themed quarters, situated within a themed resort that boasts dining and various activities. The location itself is picturesque with a reconstruction of traditional Veronese buildings, making it ideal for Instagram-worthy photo opportunities. Despite the current situation due to Covid-19 resulting in some outlets being closed, it remains a great place to rest and take photos upon check-in. The hotel rooms are spacious and include large bathtubs for added comfort.
This is a great convenient place to take a rest and take photo check-in in here, the hotel room in here is great with big bathtub, you can find "RC enjoy life" for more videos in here, enjoy life together

Some people might find this place interesting but during query times there are few visitors and very little to attract them to pay the modest entrance fee to enter and have a look.
The grounds are quite nice but not particularly well maintained. Once you're inside the staff will try to get you to our your hand in your pocket to try some of their activities.
There are apparently concerts or performances on occasion that attract quite a large crowd.

This is a perfect place for photo shooting. The decoration is lovely and mimic from various cities in Italy.
Not many choices of restaurants and shops, it looks like all the small biz here cannot survive.
As a traveler, I do want to see more local shops and their products - so I could support them and have a sustainable economic in the community level.

Many shops are closed. Dirty and unpleasant place. Very disappointed staying overnight here as the room is quite in bad condition, very noisy. Hotel managed to put the group tour party in the residential zone. Party creates loud sounds until 11pm. No nature here, very nightmare to our family. Will never ever comeback again.

Unusual geomorphology landscape but beautiful in its own way. You got to use the local service cart ( e-taek ) to go in the place. Paid 250 baht for round trip. Stay safe by grabbing a bottle of water with you.

Amazing place with amazing scenery. We were there with family and friends and we really enjoyed it. We have not seen anything like this before. I recommend bringing water and hats with you. The cost of a walk-behind tractor is 300 baht. I recommend this place to visit.

An interesting geological formations. Life hack: you do not need to pay 200 baht for a local tractor to reach the destination but rather park your car and walk about 10 minutes for free.

Warning!!! Should read overall reviews before driving to this destination. This place was part of my road trip plans. I didn't read the review, just attracted to beautiful pictures. This is private property. You can't drive to the site. You have to park here and took those vehicles which attached in my review. I had a lot of stuff in my car and look around my sentiment said NO. After read the reviews some times changed for 500 or 300 seems depend on the mood of drivers. I personally didn't like this kinda things. If it let me drive to the site pay fix price 300-500 baht,I would happy to pay for it. For my own safety, at the time of arrival nobody there how could I know if anything happen a long the way. Skipped it.

Smaller than expected. It's a community maintained area so it receives no funding from the central government. I came during the afternoon so it was blazing hot. Better to come in the evening or late afternoon. You can rent a car for 200 baht (300 baht) from the visitor center. It can fit up to 6 ppl. Alternatively, I bargained to park my car in the temple and walk in there myself for 50 baht.
Anuk Yingrotetarakul — Google review
Cool mud hoodoos that are definitely worth checking out. Since they are mud, they won't be around for too much longer.
Have to park your car at the main visitor center and rent a modified tractor to tour. Cost is 200 baht for the tractor. Pretty good signage once you get to find your way here.
Greg Wang — Google review
Ok so there is a lot of sand and there is cool formation but after a few photos it is just sand. Many years ago you could just drive here and nobody cared now they "claim" it is on private land and they charge you 200 THB and you can not go inside with your own car. We did since the signs were in Thai and when he said we have to pay 500 thb for driving inside i just told him what and drove away. I do not like when locals trying to claim ownership of something and take a big fee. If its there land ok but i doubt it very much.

Thailand "rock formation", it is actually the stack of clay soil that slowly caused by water (rain) erosion. The structure may change year by year. To visit the site, tourist should go by the local tractor drive by villager who know exactly where is save, otherwise some area may risk to collapse. It is really funny activity and worth to do once.
sumpun Thammacharoen — Google review
An interesting geological place.....lots of unusual rock structures, quite intricate and beautiful to look at.
However it is quite a small area and once you've seen it, you've seen it.
Worth a look if you are in the area but I would not recommend driving hundreds of kilometres just to see it.

Prasat Sdok Kok Thom is a remarkably preserved stone Khmer-style Hindu temple from the 11th century CE, located in Thailand. This historical landmark is the top site for historical parks in Thailand and boasts tourist signage, maps, information clearly marked, ample parking space, helpful staff, clean modern toilets and well-maintained buildings and grounds with shady areas. Best of all - there are no tourist charges to visit this non-commercial park!
Avery well maintained historic park. There is plenty of parking and nice clean restrooms. There was no entry fee on the day I went. The main structure was a marvel to look at even if parts were restored. This is not a very big site so it’s easy to see everything in less than a hour.

Tonlé Sap Lake is the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia and boasts of being one of the most abundant inland fishing grounds globally. Kompong Phluk, among the three main villages neighboring the lake (Chong Kneas, Kompong Khleang, and Kompong Phluk), is easily accessible via a short tuk-tuk ride from Siem Reap town center since it lies on the northeastern side of Tonlé Sap.
You may feel like you came to a sea but this is the largest freshwater lake in southeast Asia. It has been designated as a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 1997 due to its high biodiversity.
Now come to the point what you will get as a tourist. You need to buy tickets to get to this lake through a muddy road. There are different sizes of boats of different size of groups. Anyway i would suggest to get a small motor boats if you are alone or 4/5 persons. This will help you to move fast and also see the fishermen families living on the water villas/houses for around 100 years.
There are number of floating restaurants that serve local dishes, sea foods along with special crocodile meat; you heard me right…these boats are mini crocodile farms as well.
To have the best of tonle sap lake, go more inside to the lake, stop the boat motor and enjoy the sunset. Its so refreshing and relaxing. On the way back to Siam Reap, try road side restaurants for fresh fish grill from the lake. Dont miss it.
Fazal Mahmud Roni — Google review
You drive 1 hour south of Siem Reap into the hinder lands.
The boats are old and there isn't a dock, just a gang plank to board the boat.
The area and lifestyle is interesting. mainly a fishing area because of the lake that flows into the Mekong River.
All the houses are built on stilts because the river raises almost 20 feet during the rainy season.
Richard Schagrin — Google review
Do focus on what the locals are doing on the shores of the lake and on the lake to appreciate the vastness of this great body of water.
Naturally, all economic, social and cultural activities are based around this body of water.
As the size and spread of Tonle Sap change with the coming and going of the monsoon, houses of locals along the shore of the lake are built on stilts to accommodate the rising of water level.
For locals who make their homes on boathouses, they actually raise anchor and move to different locations around the lake as water level changes.
Boats of assorted shapes are seen everywhere. Locals reside on them, catch fish on them, commute by them.
Adults can be seen repairing their boats and building new ones on land and by the shore.
Children can be seen having a lot of fun running up and down the sand dunes by the shore.
Everywhere you look, something is going on. Though a foreign visitor like me may find the living standard still needs some catching up, Tonle Sap and the air that surrounds it is filled with energy and positiveness. In turn, the people who have relied on and respected this lake for many many years are rewarded with simple but genuine joy.

Before the tour I had read so many bad reviews of this place that I had mentally prepared myself for the worst. However, my experience wasn't bad at all.
Firstly the ferry prices are fixed - we took the 28USD one - one which fits 5pax. If you have lesser people in the group, unfortunately that's the cheapest option out there. The trip starts when you get to the pier > btw there are cameramen there who'd click your pic to sell on a plate souvenir - it's impossible to dodge them, they would try to sell those at the end of the trip to you. Next we had gone there at about 4pm to see the sunset and such, so they took us through the floating villages, past the mangroves, to the crocodile farm with an attached restaurant and lastly to the sunset view point. There is much to see when passing by the floating houses - it's interesting to see how in different parts of the world, cultures can vary.
The trip is about an hour and some. The additional costs incurred would be the tip for the driver which was reminded about by the tour guide.
From what I read- the rip off happens in the morning when the tour guides add in extra activities like a walking tour of a school and the village. I'm glad that didn't happen to me and so I had a good time.

Tonle Sap Lake is a seasonally inundated fresh water lake with an attached river. Tonle Sap river connects the lake to the Mekong river. We (me Brijmohan and my spouse Sarika) visited Tonle Sap on 28th November 2023 afternoon alongwith approximately hundred companions of our Bhartiya (Indian) Dharmayatra trip. We ride the four boats and took a round trip of the Tonle Sap village and the river. The freshwater was looking like an ocean. We met the locals who were so kind and got to see the school above water.
Boat ride on the the lake which has muddy water that takes you to one of its kind restaurant in middle of the lake is such a lovely experience.
The food was 10/10 and so was the hospitality. We saw gators 🐊 and if you like you can try gator cuisine as well.

Tonle Sap is one of the largest freshwater lakes in Southeast Asia. It is so huge that we couldn't see the opposite shore. It was designated as a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 1997 due to its high biodiversity.
It is part of the Mekong River system.
The part of the river that leads to the lake is home to a unique group of people who live on the water. You will also see the mangrove forest.
We took a private boat ride to the lake, but unfortunately due to bad weather we had to turn back sooner than we'd have liked. We stopped for tea at the village restaurant. They had beautiful souvenirs for sale made by the local women. We bought some stationery that we donated to the local school.
Do partake of this experience, it is really unique and the people are also very warm and friendly.
Top ways to experience Cambodia’s Kampong Chhnang floating village and nearby attractions
Visit Cambodge — Google review
One of the best tourist attractions of Kampong Chhnang must be the floating village. First, you catch a tuk tuk to the tourist port area (about 5 minutes from downtown) and then a local boatperson takes you down to the riverside and helps you get in a small boat. It takes about thirty minutes to get to the actual floating village, passing a mosque and several groups of fishing boats on the way.
The village itself is made up of 100s of clusters of 6 to 8 house boats lashed together and anchored in place. Often there is a communal deck area and a small shop (like a mini mart) attached as well. The house boats range from the very crude such as a tarp over one end of a canoe to the sophisticated, including boats with solar panels and satellite dishes.
The villagers go about their daily lives of cooking, doing laundry, repairing boats, playing with kids and dogs and so on, paying little or no attention to the tourists who are there to observe them.
At $25-30 (depending on your negotiating skills), it is not the cheapest attraction perhaps but it is well worth it in my opinion

Decided not to tour around not take photos here, as these are people's homes. Most in the floating village are Vietnamese fisherman that live precariously on what they catch. This floating village does not have the tourist money that the ones near Siem Reap do. A lot of poverty apparent and reminds me of native American reservations that you may drive through.

The property is really nice, food very good but it is directly located at the main highway to Siem Reap. This means traffic noise 24/365 and dust in general. We had extra bad luck due to 2 weddings going on at the same moment with equally irritating and loud music. Our room was not prepared as he seemed to have forgotten our booking. so double check with him if you do book. After staying in the room for an hour or so we decided to leave as we anticipated a night without sleeping. Rico, the owner, demanded full pay for the night. This did not seem reasonable. We offered to pay half and finally paid what he asked for as he became pretty agressive. Will never go again and will only recommend to die hard motor drivers (this does seem to be Rico's passion) who bring good quality earplugs and/or are used to lots of traffice noise. :-)

Good place to stop by for bugs. Some of foods are not best for foreigners but if wish to see or try bugs foods in Cambodia, this is the good place for you all.

Worldwide famous Khmer snack - deep fried tarantula! Bought 10 pcs at 6.5 USD. It's flavoured with sweet and spicy seasonings. Don't miss it if you pass by this area!
