As of my last knowledge update in January 2022, Udvada is a town in the Valsad district of Gujarat, India, and it is renowned for its significant Parsi community and religious importance. While Udvada is not primarily known for a beach, it is in close proximity to the Arabian Sea, and there are coastal areas nearby. Please note that developments or changes may have occurred since my last update.
If you are specifically looking for information about a beach in or around Udvada, consider checking recent travel resources, local tourism websites, or updated travel guides for the latest details on any newly developed beach destinations in the area.

Udwada Beach . Stony ,quite beach not good for swimming. Best to spend quite time in solitude.
Some 25/30 minutes drive from Jampore beach.
Approach road is narrow through persi colony . Not well developed and not so clean beach.
Not much parking facility. Nice to enjoy sunset and photography.

🌊🙌One of my favourite beach ⛱️ with all the facilities. You can easily get shower after enjoying in sea. 🌊 There are many restaurants available to fight with your hunger after bath 😋🚿. I would recommend to visit must if you are around the place. There is huge parking area as well. Also don't forget to visit Swaminarayan Temple which is located within 2km from the main beach.

Beach Is Clean, Has Many Food Stalls, You Can Sit And Relax On Sand As Well On The Sitting Area Above, Best Time To Visit Is 2 Hours Before Sunset Or If Ur Planning To Take Bath In Sea Than U Can Plan Ur Trip Early. One Thing I Want To Add Here Is If U Are Choosing From This Beach Or Other Then Go To Jampore Beach Which Is Nicely Developed Than This One.

I prefer going to this beach on weekdays. Weekends and holidays it is crowded. Otherwise, nice and peaceful. Haven't tried street food there. But there are quite a few options for stall food. One can go to Swami Narayan temple restaurant. It serves quality food.

It was nice beach. Not well developed but it’s ok for weekend gateway. There are few beach activities like horse riding and kid fun car, small snacks are available. You can not bath here as sand is black and no clean water. Sunset is beautiful here. There is walking pathway both side along with beach, one side Swaminarayan mandir and other side Saibaba mandir.

The boundary wall is the only thing separating the temple and the arabian sea rocky beach.
The view of the sea and the temple is equally peaceful and calming.
I went in the month of June, after the cyclone. I found the weather extremely sticky for sure and the sun is right there to burn your skin. Hence it's better to go a little early in the morning or evening to avoid crouching sun.

Tadkeshwar Mahadev Temple, located in Valsad, is a well-known Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple is noteworthy for its open-roofed shrine, allowing the sunlight to continuously shine on various types of Shivling. Due to this feature, the temple is called Tadkeshwar (tadko means sunlight in Gujarat language). It is also the only place where Lord Shiva can be worshipped in his sleeping status.
🔹Very divine experiences . 🔹Very clean temple. Area around the temple is very big , beautiful and clean.
It's a SWAYAMBHU SHIVALING. Here the trustees tried to make cealing three times ( the central dome ). But it broke after, every time. So now there is no dome exactly on the SHIVLING. In the afternoon the sunrays directly fall on this SHIVLING ( TADAKO ,in gujarati language ) so the name of the temple is TADAKA + ISHWAR = TADAKESHWAR. 🔹Here even who believe in lord Shivaji , can go for marriage ceremony also. There is an area on the south of the temple , where marriage ceremony with around 150 people can be done.
🔹In this temple , other than Mahadev Shivaling , ma Parvatimata , Shree Ganapati bappa , Shree Hanuman dada , Shree Baliya dev , ma Shitala devi idols are there.
🔹On the south side of the temple is a river called Vanki Nadi.
🔹Big parking area is available.
🔹Washroom out side the temple compound is available.
🔹Very beautiful greenary and garden is around the temple.
🔹There slides, swings , see saw and many more for the children to play.
🔹There are CCTV cameras for the safety.

Tadkeshvar mahadev mandir is one of the oldest shiv temple in town , intresting thing about temple is whenever try to build dome over temple it colleps so devotees believe that shiv bhagvan don't want roof on temple thus temple don't have roof or dome like typical temples.also shivling is huge and horizontal one of kind maybe allover india, temple have small play garden and sitting banches for senior citizens.

Tadkeshwar Mahadev Temple, Valsad
It is a renowned temple in the town of Valsad, the Tadkeshwar Mahadev Temple is famous for the Various types of Shivling. Since there is no ceiling and the sun shines over the Shivlings continuously, the name ‘Tadkeshwar’ is given to the temple (where tadko-is sunlight Gujarat language). It’s called as Tadkeshwar because there is no roof and heard that constant sunlight should touch the Shivling.

I'll never travel to Indore without this trip planner again
Two words; calm and mesmerizing, the most beautiful thing about the temple is it's place or are where it is situated. It is facing the beach and after worshipping Shree Sai baba you can always enjoy the cool currents of the beach.
The best place to spend time with your family, friends and in some case loved ones.
The only need is the food canteen I guess but they have their point as there are food stalls available and people usually don't have dinner there but I suggest a good hotel, So that people who come with their family can spend more time and eat together.

The whole area has been completely made and the old museum restored. I was also impressed by the great use of solar pamels and the environmental consciousness of the project.
Well worth a visit. p.s. we did not have any trouble with ticket office.

Nice place where it will be fun to visit if you reach early in the morning. And there is also a famous place for the Salt Satyagraha of Mahatma Gandhi, so you can also see the museum related to Gandhiji here. Along with this, you can also visit the Samarpan Ashram here, which will be found between Dandi Beach and Museum. One special thing here is that you will get entry only in full Indian dress, otherwise you may have to stay outside.

Dandi Beach offers a serene escape with its golden sands and soothing waves. The pristine shoreline invites you to unwind and relish nature's beauty. While the beach lacks bustling activities, its tranquility is a refreshing break from urban life. Sunset paints the sky with hues of orange and pink, casting a magical spell. The cleanliness and simplicity add to the charm, making Dandi Beach an ideal spot for those seeking peaceful moments by the sea. However, limited amenities may require visitors to bring their essentials. We also can bath in the sea but have to be very careful about the sea waves and also biking can be done camel ride is available here, horse riding is available here. Very nice place really.

Dandi Beach in India is a serene coastal stretch located in the state of Gujarat. With its expansive shoreline along the Arabian Sea, the beach offers black & brown sands against the backdrop of a tranquil sea. Dandi holds historical significance as the site where Mahatma Gandhi led the Salt March in 1930, a pivotal moment in India's fight for independence.
Visitors can appreciate the scenic beauty, engage in water activities, and explore the memorial dedicated to the Salt March, all while enjoying the sun & waves and sea water on this historically rich beach.
The bustling scene encompasses a plethora of recreational options, including Trampoline for kids, horse & camel excursions, and bike/buggy rides. However, the introduction of horse and camel riding businesses on the beach has resulted in an undesirable accumulation of dung and filth along the shore.

Good place but sometimes you'll encounter some classless idiots as an exception. Food is not upto the mark and very high priced, so purchase at your own risk. For food just select the popcorns they are good.

Rajhans cinema , Navsari is a great place to catch a movie. The theatre is well-maintained and has comfortable seats. The sound and picture quality are excellent. A good place to bring your family and friends to watch a movie.

The only thing I don't like which the price of the food is bit high. Not so pocket friendly.😮💨But kya kare lena padta hain…

all over no complains about the theatre but today they literally crossed their line. We asked if they have seats at the back but they clearly refused and gave us tickets on the front seat and when we complained to the manager they didn’t even except and behaved in a really wrong way. The name of the manager was Ajay Surti, i request the authorities to take some strict action against the rude attitude of the manager and irresponsible of the ticket counter staff.

Plush seating in a luxurious cinema. However devices of patrons should be on silent, as children playing on devices while the movie is on, detracts from one's enjoyment of the movie.

Good theater, but no difference between class of seats , no recliner seats for high class.

Wilson Hills is a picturesque hill station located in Gujarat, currently undergoing development by the government. Wilson hill is a superb place for outing for a short picnic. Wilson Hills is a hill station near Dharampur Tahsil. Wilson Hills stands in a densely forested region. Just 120 kms from Saputara. Best time to visit in monsoon. Don't go in couple. make enough group of 8-10 people. Keep your food ready with you. Don't forget to have camera or smart phone with good MP camera with you. The beauty starts from the road to Wilson hill. Its little bit adventures type outing so not suitable for aged people.
Very good outing place with friends and family. May get bored if you go in couple. Height of the place, scenery, peacefulness are enjoyable.
Don't forget to take your own snacks and water. There is only one restaurant and some private properties.
Best place to enjoy sunset and monsoon beauty.
Road is curvy but good for driving.
Nearby: Barumal (mainly Shiv) temple. Food is available here also.

Review: Willsion Hill - A Captivating Journey Through Time and Nature
Rating: ★★★★☆
Nestled amidst rolling hills and lush greenery, Willsion Hill offers a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. This hidden gem, located in the heart of the countryside, provides visitors with a captivating journey through time and nature. During my recent visit to Willsion Hill, I was enthralled by its rich history and breathtaking landscapes.
One of the most impressive aspects of Willsion Hill is its historical significance. As I explored the area, I discovered remnants of an ancient civilization that once thrived there. The well-preserved ruins and artifacts provided glimpses into the lives of those who inhabited the hill centuries ago. It was fascinating to imagine the stories and events that unfolded in this very place long before our time.
The nature surrounding Willsion Hill is nothing short of spectacular. The hill offers panoramic views of the countryside, with rolling hills stretching as far as the eye can see. Hiking trails wind their way through the hills, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the beauty of the natural landscape. The air is crisp and refreshing, and the peaceful atmosphere makes it the perfect retreat for nature enthusiasts.
The staff at Willsion Hill were friendly and knowledgeable, offering guided tours that provided valuable insights into the history and ecology of the area. Their passion for the hill was evident, and their willingness to share their knowledge enhanced the overall experience.
However, there were a few areas that could be improved upon. The signage and information boards throughout the site were somewhat lacking, making it difficult to fully understand the significance of certain areas and features. It would be beneficial for the management to invest in clearer and more informative signage to enhance the educational value of the visit.
Additionally, the amenities at Willsion Hill were limited. There was only one small café on-site, which often resulted in long queues and limited food options. Expanding the dining facilities and providing more food choices would greatly enhance the overall visitor experience.
Despite these minor drawbacks, Willsion Hill is a destination that I highly recommend to anyone seeking a unique and enriching experience. Whether you are a history enthusiast, a nature lover, or simply someone looking for a tranquil escape, Willsion Hill will not disappoint. Its blend of rich history, breathtaking landscapes, and warm hospitality make it a place worth exploring. I left Willsion Hill feeling inspired and rejuvenated, with a newfound appreciation for the wonders of the past and the beauty of the natural world.

Picnic spot near by surat & vapi & valsad
- wilson hills
Recently we visited on 16/06/2023. It’s quite near from surat take 3 hrs to reach and from vapi take 2 hour. Way to wilson hill is amazing and very beautiful.
The climate was amazing with frequent rains and clouds at the top. Wilson Hill is slowly turning in a tourist hotspot for a one day picnic. A perfect 1 day trip to the place would make your memory worth of it.
In my humble opinion. this place is best during winter and Monsoon. Monsoon is the best time to visit and experience green mountains and frequent rains.

The drive to the place is just mind blowing.
Quite steep but great to drive.
It isn't as busy as other places and exactly why it is brilliant.
Is being maintained quite well with a great walking path around the edge and ample space for kids to play and families to relax.
The views were supposed to be great but we didn't see anything due to clouds.

I've been visiting this place since 2000 and I'm the biggest witness of this seen developing from very small to big holistic spiritual place. I was able to appear my M.A. (English) exam from IGNOU.

An ashram built in the lap of nature is Dandakaranya ashram, this ashram is built in a very large area, it has a quiet environment, a beautiful garden and a small parking lot, it would be good to visit this ashram in the evening with children.

Dandakvan Ashram is a serene retreat nestled in nature, offering a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. With its tranquil surroundings and spiritual ambiance, it provides a conducive environment for meditation, self-reflection, and personal growth. The ashram's facilities and programs aim to promote holistic well-being, making it a popular destination for spiritual seekers and those seeking inner peace. Overall, Dandakvan Ashram offers a serene sanctuary for individuals looking to rejuvenate their mind, body, and soul.

Dandakvan Ashram Vansda is a temple campus and an excellent landscaped garden. Dandakvan is the idea of Yogiraj Maharshi Sadguru Sadafal Deo Ji Maharaj, who revived the knowledge of Brahmavidya after hundreds of years, and established Vihangam Yoga.
Since my hometown is Vansda, I frequently visit this place. I’d like to give 10/10 points to the organization for maintaining garden. Even after years, the place feels like it was just opened.
Their temple is magnificent too. Made of bright white marble, it looks marvellous.
Dandakvan is severely underrated place in my opinion. Worth a visit on a Dang circuit tour.
“This Dandakvan Ashram is the Sadguru’s abode. Its importance is immeasurable. Those men and women who pine for God, when they come here, in this Dandakvan, when they behold this ultimate holy place or stay here, they will be entitled to Bhakti (devotion) and Mukti (liberation).”
Accommodation facility is perfect with furnished rooms. The ambiance is adorned with natural beauty, wonderful Park and a gigantic water fountain. Food is vegetarian and satvic yet pretty tasty. People at the ashram are very simple, reliable, helpful and knowledgeable.
If you want to know something or attend a Satsang, you need not worry. Vedic Yajnas are conducted here and one can attend them. It’s a great place to meditate and learn for sure. Modes of communication are phone, mobile, internet (no Wi-Fi), whereas conveyance is not an issue since town is nearby. Basically, it’s a place well-connected but still an ashram where you can experience and learn a lot, a sort of place that can help you evolve as a person and realize your goal.

Gira Waterfalls is a stunning natural wonder located in Gujarat's hill station. This picturesque waterfall is most active during monsoon season, with a large flow of water that attracts visitors from all over. However, it is advisable to visit after monsoon season, preferably in October when the rain has subsided and the waterfall can be enjoyed fully. The area also boasts a shopping market where visitors can purchase unique local crafts and artifacts made of wood.

One of the best waterfall in Gujarat. We visited in December and still it has some water and beautiful view.

There are so many shops on the wat where you can buy handcrafted items. Only thing is they should not allow shops after stairs so it won't block the view from the viewpoint.

Girmal Waterfall is a mesmerizing waterfall located on the Subir-Navapur road, surrounded by jungle and featuring huge flows during monsoon season. While the road leading to it may be easy to miss from the main road, it is worth including in any itinerary when visiting Shabridham. The scenery around the waterfall is breathtaking, even if it happens to be dry at the time of visit. A small trek upstream from the falls provides an opportunity to enjoy even more stunning views.

Mesmerizing water fall. It is located on the Subir - Navapur road. The road to Girimal ia very easy to miss from the main road, so keep asking along the way. If you are visiting Shabridham, then make sure to have this point in your itinerary, no matter the season. If you get to see the Water fall, it is heavenly, but even if it is dry, the scenery is breathtaking. We also did a small trek upstream from the water fall and followed the stream for a KM or so and the scenery just got better and better. I recommended that one just take some private, tranquil moments of solitude and soak in the music of the wilderness. I assure you of an outer wordly experience.

- you are allowed to go there, from where water is falling.(depends on water level)
- roads are one way. Not wide as expected,so park your car or vehicle far accordingly so you can move out easily, else it used to be a traffic jam in weekend.
- enjoy U turn on between way. :)

Road from subir village to waterfall is eye soothing amid small water streams and paddy field.
Waterfall is on purna river and surrounded by purna wildlife sanctuary. Best time to visit is during monsoon or just after monsoon, when water flow is on peak.
On the way there is a famous u-turn point of purna river where river changes its course.
Another place one can visit during this trip is famous Shabaridham temple, which is just 1 km from subir village. It is believed that Lord Ram had met tribal old lady Shabari here and ate the berry (ber) during his 14 yrs.

My village is a place that I like to visit in my holidays or whenever I feel tired and want to relax. A village is a place that is far away from the pollution and noise of the city. Also, you feel a connection with the soil in a village.
Moreover, there are trees, a variety of crops, diversity of flowers, and rivers, etc. Besides all this, you feel the cold breeze at night and a warm but pleasant breeze in the day

It's a jain holy pilgrimage. So you have to follow their protocols when you visit, if you love to explore natural places then this place is for you. Whole path has over 3000 stairs, vehicle facilited for the pilgrims is available from start point which drops them on half route & from there you have to climb stairs to the peak. Avoid taking food and plastic bottles cause this places filled with monkeys and they are pretty aggressive. Avoid If you want to travel by public transport in one day, whereas frequency of buses from taharabad to mangi tungi is not so well. Nashik to taharabad bus route frequency is very good 1 or 2 buses available at every hour from 5 am

A well constructed waterfall with police guiding the area. There were little croud when we visited during weekends, may be there will be less crowd or no crowd during weekdays. Currently, it is forbidden to go underwater but from a distance you can enjoy the view.
Talking about the road, the road is small and single strip. Due to the rain, the RCC Road has been slightly damaged at two places, but if the 4 wheeler vehicles runs carefully, it will reach comfortably. There will be no problem with 2 wheeler vehicles. Talking about food, there is also a good fun canteen here. You'll get food that you won't go hungry. Water is naturally there.

There is just no road and one has to drive on the gravel. The acess the fall is through a long and steep stairs. There is fence around the water and guards are posted to ensure no one go near the fall or the rocks around it.

I believe this is the highest point of Toranmal. Although there is a road that permits vehicles to go all the way to the top, I recommend that one go up by foot. It is an amazing and an easy trek. The view from up top is phenomenal. Toranmal has been so named after the local goddess (Grama-Devata) Torna Devi (Tornai). The temple is situated at the top of a mountain and overlooks over almost the entire Toranmal. Probably this is the highest place in Toranmal and provides stunning views of the surroundings including Sita-khai & the Yeshwant Lake.
The temple is said to be 600 years old. A road has been recently constructed to reach the temple from the main market area near the boating point. One needs to climb a few steps to reach the temple.
Temple is in 2 parts. The structure on the right has Torna Devi statue in sitting stance.
The left side strucure has ShivaLinga and a statue of the Saint Sidaji Maharaj.

Roopmati Pavilion, a palace with a romantic history, was built by Baz Bahadur for his beloved Roopmati. It offers stunning views of the Narmada River and is part of the ancient rock-cut architecture dating back to the 5th and 6th centuries. Originally an army observation post, it later became Roopmati's residence. The palace is meticulously maintained and surrounded by lush greenery, adding to its charm.
Visited this gorgeous place in the month of September. It is a bit of 300 metres climb diagonally from the vehicle parking place. Absolutely gorgeous views all around the site and a must visit site for those visting Mandu.

Like the Baz Bahadur Palace the Roopmati Pavilion also predates Baz Bahadur. Going by its strategic location on a hill top at the very southern end of the plateau, it is quiet likely it servea as a military outpost keeping an eye on invading armies. It was later converted into a pleasure house by Baz Bahadur for his favourite lover Roopmati, who is to graze at the Narmada from the pavilion. The pavilion consists of two structure built at different level. The base of the upper structure coincides with the top of the lower structure and thus providing a double storied appearance. The overall structure is
U - shaped with a with a neatly maintained garden in the middle. The Roppmati's Pavilion contains massive arched passages complete with water channels to keep the palace cool from the scorching heat of Mandu. The terrace provides great views of the Nimar plains stretching all the way to the Narmada River. Like the Baz Bahadur's Palace the terrace contains two domed pavilions. It was probably from here Roopmati watched the Narmada flow and refused to eat, when the river was not visible.

One of the many great places to see in Mandu . This was earlier built as a Army observation post . Built of sandstone - Rani Roopmati lived at this palace later. She used to have an avid interest in singing and worshipped Maa Narmada . The river Narmada could be seen from the top as a stream on a clear day.
Cleanliness is kept at every inch of the palace. Surrounding Greenery is what gives this palace its charm.
Fact - This palace strategically separates Nimar and Malwa Plateau .

This pavallian is built for Rani roopmati so that she can see and mismerise the beuty of holy narmda river which is 15 Km away (approx ) from here , but the pavallian is built at very high altitude so that Rani can easily see narmda maaiya , also there is a garden 🏡 to spent time in for rani , and one more historical thing here is "juhari khana" when Raja Baaj bahadur is dead in the war of sarangpur all the ladies including rani roopmati of the state has committed suicide by burning their ownself alive in this juharikhana. But it is built very unique and if you visit in morning 🌻 , you will find lots of flowers and 🐦 birds whispering , ☮️ peace 🕊️

Beautiful Architecture, Breathtaking view. You can see the Narmada river flowing in the distance if you look hard enough on a clear day.
The drive is slightly challenging for visitors from out of state not used to the unruly traffic in this entire district. Parking is ample but its management is atrocious. My vehicle was blocked by a very smart person when I came back from the monument. Many many others were as well. Hoshang Shah's tomb is situated in the middle of the courtyard of the majestic mausoleum, surrounded by square-shaped walls. One can enter the mausoleum from the entrance gate, (which is built on a square plan with a marble dome) in the middle of the northern wall. The tomb of Hoshang shah is a grand construction, having a square plan and a dome. It is built on a basement of remarkable width and height. The entire building including the dome is covered in marble, providing majestic atmosphere. It is interesting to note that the main entrance and stairs are situated in the south side, the other side of the entrance to the courtyard.
In the four corners of the domed roof, there are constructions with battlements and small domes. They are above the basements, which are built along with a dome. There are plant decorations extending from the edge of the roof and the eaves. They are coloured in red and black, accenting the marble building. Hindu patterns can be observed in the decorations. Considering these and other patterns inside the tomb chamber, we can assume there was involvement of Hindu workmen from the neighbouring towns.

Mandav is the great place to explore history must go and explore with guides so much interesting.
It's construction was done by Bahadur shah is also confirmed by the stone inscription found here on which his name can be clearly seen. Jal Mahal also known as "The Water Palace" was built by Bahadurshah Gujarati in 1534 A.D. Sultan Jahangir stayed here for 6 months during his visit to Mandu. It is situated around Munj Talao and to the south of Shahi Mahal.
It encompasses a fountain, elegant arches and marvelous cuttings done on stones which is a good evidence of high end art. It is built using Roman, Afghani and Mughal arts.

On a rainy day, the beauty and artistry here is its prime. This palace is believed to have been built under Ghiyasuddin Khilji in the 15th century for his 15,000 queens. The walkway is apparently run down and needs maintenance. We could see broken stairs, uneven surface and lack of signages to reach the mahal. As we were already exhausted, we did not venture into Jal mahal, but had a glimpse from atop the Jahaz mahal and it was fabulous. Peaceful and calm place. This place will boost your creativity. I went there with my family. I loved the place immediately, enjoyed photography. It is well maintained and really good for photo shoot. One who love and fond of architecture, historical places, want to learn photography..this place is boon for them. Must visit. You have to buy ticket for entry.

Jahaj Mahal got its name because it looks like a ship. They claim that the palace is actually surrounded by water and takes on the appearance of a ship during periods of severe rain when the nearby water bodies begin to overflow. It's a beautiful piece of architecture and demands your attention.
Monsoon season made it appear much more lovely. The ideal time to view this gem in Mandu is between august and September.

One of the best place to visit in Mandu. Its luxurious palace built in shape of ship and surrounded by lakes. Also known as Ship that Never Sailed. The entire premise is maintained in good conditions. Plenty of car parking available at distance of 500 meters. The walk from the parking to palace is worth while enjoy delicious local food and fruits being sold by street vendors. Enjoy the structural beauty and landscape.

Jahaj Mahal resembles a ship, hence the name. They also say that during heavy rain, when the water bodies around start overflowing the palace actually gets surrounded by water and looks like a ship. It's a fine piece if architecture and definitely deserves your time.
It looked even more beautiful during the monsoon. Probably the best time to be in Mandu and see this beauty.

Jahaz Mahal in Mandu, Madhya Pradesh, India, is like a time machine. It's an old and beautiful building surrounded by calm and peaceful nature. It's a great place for people who love history and for those who like to explore.
This building looks like a ship, and it was built with amazing skill a long time ago. If you enjoy taking pictures, this place is perfect for you. There are many interesting things to see inside.
You can take a relaxed walk in the big open area and enjoy the beauty of the building. You can also explore the different rooms, outdoor spaces, and ponds. It's like stepping into the past.
But some things could be better, like how they take care of the place and the signs that tell you about it. Even so, Jahaz Mahal is an important historical site that you should visit. Don't forget to take pictures and learn about Mandu's history.

An architectural wonder standing similar to a ship in the middle of two small lakes, however, the lakes are filled only during monsoon. The structure looks stunning and the views are great. A small ticket amount is levied to visit the place. A small museum is also situated inside the premises. The place is very clean and well maintained. Only difficult part is the walk to the monument from the parking area.

An architectural marvel, and probably one of the best maintained archeological heritage sites in India, with a beautiful manicured garden in its front. With water bodies on two sides, it presumably gives the look of an anchored ship and thus named Jahaz (ship) Mahal.
Jahaz Mahal is one of the most prominent and beautiful part of the entire cluster of historical monuments in Mandu. This stunningly beautiful monument deserves a place in the list of world heritage sites.
It's a two storeyed building, and we got an excellent view from the rooftop. There are approximately 35 steps (wide with reasonable height) to reach the rooftop. Both me and my wife are Sr. Citizens and could comfortably take the steps.

Limited parking available on side. Approach road is often blocked by vehicles parked in front of dhabas which include tractor and water tanker.
You can do nothing but wait for them to finish their job.
Ticket window is located on the right of the gate. On entry there's a museum on the right and guest rooms on top of it over looking the Kapoor taal.
Jahaz Mahal is on your left. From here you can over look the other lake. Little ahead ther are couple of Bawadis, Hindola Mahal, Shahi Hamam, the royal palace.
There's resting place under trees. Earlier it had a cafeteria but noe closed. You can eat your tiffin here.
Outside you have a few curio shops and Dhabas. Here you can get local delicacies. Dall Bafala/ Baati or Daal Paaniye (Bafala or Baati are made of wheat flour whereas Paniye are made of Maize flour and heavy). You can indulge in pleasure 😊

Sunrise - sunset. The 110-m-long and 15-m-broad double-storeyed building is located on a narrow strip of land between the Munj Talao and Kapur Talao, giving the appearance of a ship in water. probably built by Sultan Ghiyathuddin Khalji in the later part of the 15th century. It served as a large harem for the sultan and accommodated a staggering 15,000 women. Later it also served as the residence of Noor Jahan, the favourite queen of Mughal Emperor Jahangir. The southern end of the double - storied building has a stairs leading directly to the terrace. The northern end of the terrace contains a swimming pool of floral design there is a similar pool just below it on the first floor. The terrace has two domed pavilion on the southern and northern end of the long Jahaz Mahal. The northern pavilion is not at the very end of the terrace but just south of the swimming pool.
The Hindola Mahal, located in Mandu, is a part of a ruined palace complex that served as a historic meeting place. It features ogee arches and a large main hall. The palace was built alongside Jahaz Mahal to showcase the engineering excellence of ancient times, with underground wells making it even more elaborate.
Hindola Mahal – meaning Swing palace is so named due to its sloping side walls. The Hindola Mahal might have been constructed during the reign of Hushang Shah

Adjoining the famous Jahaj Mahal, Hindola Mahal forms Parrt of the heritage royal buildings complex in Mandu. This historical building has slanting outer walls at an angle of 77° and thus it presumably gives the look of a swing. Frankly I could not visualize it as a swing. That apart, the building looks beautiful. There are other buildings. The surrounding are very well maintained.
Adjascent to Hindola Mahal, there are other smaller monuments worth seeing.

Hindola Mahal – meaning Swing palace is so named due to its sloping side walls. The Hindola Mahal might have been constructed during the reign of Hushang Shah about 1425 C.E. but may date to the end of the 15th century during the reign of Ghiyas al-Din. It is one of a set buildings making up the royal palace complex at Mandu, which consists of the Jahaz Mahal, the Hindola Mahal, the Taveli Mahal, and the Nahar Jharokha. The Hindola Mahal may have been used as an audience chamber. The plan of the Hindola Mahal is a T-shape, though examination of the exterior walls leads to the conclusion that the crossbar was added later. The vertical mast of the plan consists of one main hall measuring 30 by 18 metres (98 by 59 feet) and 12 metres (39 feet) high. Its lateral walls are 3 metres (9.8 feet) thick and further reinforced by massive inclined buttresses that angle over 77 degrees. These highly inclined buttresses give the Hindola Mahal (Swinging Palace) its name. They also neutralize the outward force of five massive arches that once supported the large flat roof of the main hall. On each exterior of the long sides of the main hall are six recessed arches which hold doors in their lower sections and three slabs of open-work stone windows to let in air and light. A high wall holds battlements on the roof of the building.

Jahaz Mahal or Ship palace at Mandu is beautiful and great depiction of palace life of Muslim rulers of India
It is built between Munj and Kapur water tanks and presents the sight of ship anchored in water. It's beautiful view is seen from upper most terrace of Taveli Mahal
Right time to visit this place is monsoon season when tanks are full with water and surrounding are lush green Moonlit night is another good time to visit With light and sound show now started it's a perfect itinerary to plan for Jahaz Mahal has a mention in the memoir of emperor Jahangir that during his stay at Mandu his beloved queen Nur Jahan famed in history for her exceptional beauty used to reside in this palace.
Hindola Mahal is also located in same complex alongwith Taveli Mahal A small museum is also located inside Taveli Mahal
Overall a good place to visit alongwith your family and kids

Hindola Mahal where hindola means swing. This mahal was built for swings during rainy seasons by mughals. It is located inside jahaz mahal.
abhi chauhan — Google review
Hindola, meaning swing, named so because of the slant walls of the palace that resemble the swing shape. The story of how this Mahal had both Hindu and Muslim queens living together worshipping their respective deities in turns still runs. The fact that you can stand right where the cultural events were held, and can see the seatings of the royals felt surreal.

The entire fort complex within the Jahaj Mahal of mandu is steeped in history, it's not only absolutely stunning but also such an experience. Hindola Mahal is undergoing certain upkeep work and that's great, but the place itself is very beautiful, the architecture is to die for and the light and sound show at night is also projected here, such a great experience.

According to a Sanskrit inscription, Mandu was a 6th century fortified town, that was established as a fort capital in the 11th century by the Parmar rulers. This ancient city tells stories of a romance between Prince Baz Bahadur and Rani Roopmati and has several palaces, tombs, mosques, pavilions and rock-cut caves.

The whole complex of Mandu is so so rich and so beautiful. Every monuments has a story behind it on which it stands tested against the tide of centuries and different kings and their kingdom. After hearing the story and the purpose of the complex it's all worth it. Would recommend blindly to anyone to visit this place and feel the heritage first hand. Kudos to ASI again for the maintenance of the heritage so that the future can witness this beauty as it is.

Hindola Mahal is Artistic, Beautiful Unique Structure !
Hindola Mahal Built by Hushang Shah, probably around A.D. 1425 as a Durbar hall.
The walls are inordinately thick and slope like those of a castle. The slope of over 77 degrees gives a swinging appearance to the building, hence the name.
The plan is 'T' shaped. The upright stem being the main hall (which was built first), and the cross bar is a transverse portion added later.
The structure was probably supposed to have the zenana place as another storey above the main hall, which would explain the bulk and strength of the walls.

This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva built in Nagar Style. This temple is testimony to the architectural skills of the Maratha workmen who constructed this temple on the bank of Narmada River. It took 34 years to build this temple and at a cost of 1.5 crore Indian rupees. at that time it was huge cost. This temple is visible from long distance due to its strategic location.

Bajirao Ballal Balaji Bhat was basically Peshwa (Pantapradhan) for 4th Maratha Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj. In 1740 when bajirao was on a millitary operation, he had a military camp here in Rawerkhedi. On 28th April 1740 he died due to heat stroke. Samadhi was built in his remembrance by Shinde (Scindia) of Gwalior.
Samadhi is built in sand stone, not decorative but still very effective and beautiful. Needs a proper road connectivity and some tourist facilities in the village. But the monument itself needs care to be taken. Little bit of genuine restoration may turn the place around. A bit of genuine restoration will bring the mausoleum back to its glory.

Tribute to an invincible warrior
@ Raver Khedi on the banks of Narmada
In tribute 🙏🙏
I have tried coming here on three previous occasions and succeeded in finding one or other pretext to postpone it to the next visit.
This place has reckoned me,haunted and tormented,
me to visit, so when I came here today and paid my obeisance I felt I’ve come home!!
It’s a place of pilgrimage, history and valor like none other.
@Raverkhedi in Khargone district on the banks of narmada lies a simple monument built by his loyal general Scindia to his beloved peshva
A monument to an incomparable warrior.
It is a nondescript monument walled with a courtyard lined with colonnades with a central pedestal where his last rites were performed, and encrypted inside are the ashes of this brave warrior.
History has seen him with myopic vision but read inbetween the lines and tales of victorious battles start flowing.
Politics has tried to erase his name from most of history books yet he shines forth.
Imagine a young 40 yr old general camping with troops of one lakh soldiers waiting to cross the narmada for onward campaigns of the far flung north (read attock(currently in pak)and kabul)
His career spanned only 20 years yet his battle skills are legendary.
Example quoted often in military history is the battle of palkhed.
The country was under saffron flag of chatrapati to the greatest extent under him.
By a cruel twist of fate death overtook him with sudden illness and changed fortunes of this country forever.
Most part of his life was spent on horseback and battlefield.
A general who never lost a battle with his legendary battle skills.
Only death could overpower him.
A true ‘Ran mard’ (braveheart of the men
in battle)
In remembrance and tribute.
Shrimant Peshva bajirao ballal I
18aug1700-28apr1740
I bow to thee in respect 🙏🙏

This is a great site to visit if you want to enjoy the natural beauty. It's a historical place. You'll have a great view of the waterfall. There are railway lines and hills where you may relax and take in the stunning view of the Waterfall. A tea stall, corns, and other munchies are offered. The greatest time to visit is during the rainy season, so plan your trip suitably. The path to get there isn't great, but it'll be worth it once you get there.
There are horse and camel rides available.
Overall, it's a lovely area to visit with friends and family. Definitely worth a visit. ❣️

If you are going in winters, please expect minimal water fall. Place is also bit dirty. But otherwise it is a must visit place. Some food is available locally, but nothing great or hygienic. So take your own food and you can have good picnic. Some monkeys are there so, be careful with your food item. It takes one and half hour from indore. Best to take bypass.

This is an incredible site to visit if you have any desire to partake in the normal excellence. It's a verifiable spot. You'll have an extraordinary perspective on the cascade. There are railroad lines and slopes where you might unwind and take in the dazzling perspective on the Cascade. A tea slow down, corns, and other munchies are advertised. The best opportunity to visit is during the monsoon season, so plan your excursion appropriately. The way to arrive isn't perfect, however it'll be worth the effort once you arrive.
There are horse and camel rides accessible.
Generally speaking, it's an exquisite region to visit with loved ones. Most certainly worth a visit.

Awesome place, natural beauty❤😍
Patalpani station is about 6 kilometers from Mhow railway station and there are few services from Mhow and Indore which passes through this station
The monsoons swell the falls and may make it risky for close encounters causing accidents. It is best to maintain a cautious distance from the waterfall during the rain.

I recently visited Patalpani Waterfall in Indore. The waterfall is located amidst lush greenery and the surrounding natural beauty is truly mesmerizing.
The waterfall itself is quite impressive, with water cascading down from a height and creating a soothing sound. The sight of the water falling and the mist it creates is absolutely stunning. It's a perfect spot for nature lovers and photographers.
The area around the waterfall is well-maintained and clean. There are seating areas where visitors can relax and enjoy the view. There are also small food stalls selling snacks and refreshments, which is convenient for those who want to spend more time there.
Overall, my experience at Patalpani Waterfall was fantastic. The natural beauty, peaceful atmosphere, and the refreshing waterfall made it a perfect getaway from the city. I highly recommend visiting this place if you're in Indore.

Nice Natural waterfall in the periphery of Indore. Best part is good concrete road which is accessible for both two and four wheelers. There are too rush on weekends. Visit during monsoon.

From my experience the best time to visit the Patalpani in monsoon. There is a beautiful trek of about 1.5km and beautiful view of train station, it’s just 25km away from Indore so as per my suggestion you should go via bike, scooter that you can easily get through rent charges 600 per day. The water is looks clean and lots of food stalls available here so you don’t need to bring food with you.
Must visit!
Tip: DO NOT VISIT DURING SUMMERS

Beautiful waterfall and greenery all around. It's a heritage site. Also, you can see the beautiful railway track and tunnels. Place to visit with bunch of people and can easily spend 3-4 hours of good time. Apart from this, a important fact that you won't find water there in non-rainy seasons so better to hit the place accordingly. Horse riding is also available.

It was an amazing weekend spent at this place. The Patalpani Waterfall is a waterfall on the Choral River, a tributary of the Narmada, located in the Mhow Tehsil of Indore district in the state of Madhya Pradesh, India. Patalpani is a waterfall in Madhya Pradesh. It has an approximate 91 metres (300 ft). It is on the Choral River.
The water flow is highest immediately after the rainy season (usually after July). It goes almost dry in the summer season, and the stream is reduced to a trickle. The area around Patalpani is a popular picnic and trekking spot.

The waterfall's beauty is breathtaking, and the sound of the cascading water is soothing to the ears.
The trek to the waterfall is an experience in itself, with lush greenery and rocky terrain to navigate. The water is crystal clear, and swimming in the natural pool beneath the waterfall is refreshing.
The surroundings are tranquil, making it an ideal spot for a picnic or a day trip with family and friends.
Overall, Patal Pani is a wonderful place to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city and connect with nature.
