Visited The Meizhou Island with my family members during the June holiday, the experience i can say that it was a wonderful experience for me. Lots of things have change throughout the years. The roadside used to be filled with rubbish that is being discard by the residents and tourists, but now its clean and give me a feel of being comfortable. And for the beach it used to be a very very empty beach, but now there is activities for people to do. The place always give me this feeling that i simply can't explain with words, and this feeling always makes me want to come back to this superb island. Although things might be a little bit pricey on the island but everything is worth for that money you spend. If you are going there don't miss out the mazu blessed cake. Going to the Meizhou Island gave me a lesson on their culture knowledge and and really thankful that this place existed.

Iconic landmark of Quanzhou that is definitely worth a visit! Do some quick reading up on the history of the temple before visiting to better appreciate the place (or if you have the budget you can pay one of the tour guides hanging around outside the temple).
This temple has survived natural disasters and bears distinctive design elements from India, which makes it very unique compared to other temples I've visited. Depending on your level of interest, it can be a very quick 30min whiz through just to take photos (which a lot of teens in costume were doing) but it's worth taking your time to hear more about the stories within!

Archeological studies suggest at least Vaishnavism and Shaivism schools of Hinduism had arrived in China in its history. At present, there are no Hindus in Quanzhou. However, there previously existed a Tamil Hindu community in the city who, in the late 13th century, built the Kaiyuan Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva.

The Nanputuo Temple was a beautiful place for both secular and spiritual visitors. The temple had a few of architectural highlights, a nice pagoda and a nice pond, some beautiful corridors, and lovely calligraphy on big rocks.
The temple was also a big attraction to local crowd; tourists should be well prepared for a little bit of tumult.

Xiamen University, situated in the city of Xiamen in Fujian Province, is a multi-disciplinary university founded in 1921 with donations from overseas. The campus is known for its picturesque location between the sea and the Five Old Men mountains, making it one of the most beautiful campuses in China. The modern infrastructure sprawls over an expansive area at the foot of Wulao Feng hill and near Xiamen bay.

Started from 2018 Oct, it's mandatory to make reservation through the Uni Wechat account 'U厦大' in order to visit the university. It's said that the influx of tourists has seriously interfered the school order and teaching.
Visiting slot as below:
1. Mon-Fri: 12-2pm (1000 reservations)
2. Weekend & school holiday: Available whole day (5000 reservations)
3. National holidays: Available whole day (10k reservations)
Reservation can be made 3 days in advance.
For the moment, there is no other way to visit the uni without reservation by yourself, travel agencies face difficulties to get the seats too. DON'T BELIEVE on someone claimed that they have SCALPER TICKET which can bring you in (you might asked to pay 80rmb to 800rmb), they are in fact didn't make any reservation and you might face serious 'break in' offence.

The most beautiful university in China... Great scenic views all around... Apparently, since too many people visit the university, they have put blockades at the entrances and more you have to make a registeration online to visit the university... Around 5000 people can visit the university in a day... It would be better to register 2 days earlier than your preferred visit date...

Gulangyu, also known as Gulang Island or Kulangsu, is a car-free islet off the coast of Xiamen in southeastern China. This UNESCO World Heritage Site boasts nearly one thousand historical buildings, including former European consulates and Chinese-inspired Art Deco mansions. The island's rich history dates back to the turn of the 20th century when it housed a thriving European community due to Xiamen's role as a gateway for traders and missionaries.
A former foreign enclave from 1840s until the 1930s, it is now both a residential suburb and a major tourist area. With its significant rich history, it was formally designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site 6 years ago.
There are hundreds of the old colonial-era buildings nestled all over the island. Without motorised vehicles which are prohibited on the island and depends solely on your pair of legs, you need 2 days to fully explore the many mansions and villas opened to the public.

A well-developed tourist island which has well-preserved old houses. It also features a beach and different shots. Every major way is paved beautifully and you can tour the whole island inside an electric vehicle. Trees are all over which also provides shade and scenic beauty when strolling around. Great architecture and beautiful old lanes that wind throughout the island. Riguanyyan (sunlight rock) offers some fantastic views. The top can get really crowded. If there is time left, I would recommend that you visit Haitangtiangou. There are performances of the Nanyin (Chinese music) and a fun puppet show for kids. Wander off the beaten track and you will find some pleasant surprises.

Well... If you are visiting Xiamen and you don't take out a day for this island, then you have really missed out on something.
It is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been to.
So it takes a ferry ride to get you there which can cost you up to RMB50 to RMB 308 depending upon the kind of ferry you take there are several options like those which take you around the island are more expensive.
We went at around 12 pm and bought 50rmb tickets for 130 pm ferry... There are ferries every 20min so don't worry.. some people say that you need to book the tickets in advance but I don't think that is a problem or maybe we were very lucky...we went on a Saturday when many people are there and still got the tickets over the counter.
After reaching the island, you should definitely take the electric cart for RMB 50 which will take you around the island and drop you to different parts and also pick you up again and drop you back to the exit. Keep your tickets safe to show every time you want to take the cart.
The island is so big that even one day is not enough to see it all... We saw the museum which had piano museum and 12 caves in it. And also there is motor boat rides in the beach, which I think was very expensive (RMB150 for Scooter and RMB 300 for the boat) only thing I feel is that asking for tickets everywhere is very expensive. One tickets to island and one to the cart is what we should be charged.
The place is full of greenry and is so beautiful.. we enjoyed a lot and luckily it rained the day we went so it was not too hot. Piano museum is also worth a visit.
Later on we went to the under water fish aquarium which has a lot of different kinds of fish and is a place you can spend some of your time. But again you have to spend RMB 90 for the ticket.
There are a lot of souvenir shops, some restaurant and also a hotel within this island. But yes everything is expensive and food.is not vegetarian friendly so pack something for yourself and take with you.

Picturesque island close to Xiamen in South China. Unfortunately has become quite touristic (mostly Chinese, but also foreigners). The streets out of the shore are calmer, but still full of shops and commerce. Nice views and characteristic architecture of European inspiration.
Riyuegu Hotsprings Resort is a luxurious hot spring hotel with elegant rooms and suites, offering a welcoming atmosphere for international guests. The resort boasts an array of amenities including spa facilities, seven dining options, and bars. Guests can indulge in the various hot spring pools, saunas, cold rooms, and even waterfalls spread throughout the property. It's recommended to dedicate an entire day to fully enjoy all that the resort has to offer.
Remarkable hot springs! I would highly recommend this place to anyone. Its collection and variety of hot pools is incredible - from coffee or ginger tea, to wine or lemongrass water. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit here.
I picked up the shuttle nearby the Fortune Hotel near the International Ferry Terminal. I showed up quite early and was confused because various people told me to go to various places to wait and buy my ticket. In the end, Jade from the Fortune Hotel showed me what to do - arrive about 15 minutes before and just get on the bus. I ultimately didn't have to pay anything, but I've heard it normally costs 30 RMB.
At the resort (and it truly is a resort - pools, massage, rest areas, tea stations, restaurant...), you get a personal locker and wristband that you charge everything to. I felt safe keeping my belongings (passport, etc.) in the locker, although I knew it was my responsibility if anything happened to them.
At the pools they required me to wear a swimming cap, so I had to buy one for 18 RMB. Not too bad.
The place has all this incredible greenery. The gardeners must be busy around the clock! Truly a serene place for the guests.
The massage was really great - oil and hot stones. My therapist was professional and made me really relax.
I would recommend to come here with a friend or more, as sitting alone in the pools can get boring.
Overall I had a fantastic stay here and will definitely be back.

Be sure to bring swim suit and hair cap as they limit some pools for people who don't wear hair caps. Overall it's a good place to relax and treat yourself with hot spring. BTW, shuttle to and from the place is every 2hours and operate to In'l ferry terminal for 30 rmb.

At night, at 8:00 pm, beautiful light shows are accompanied by musical performances.
Been coming to chaozhou for years and is one of my favorite city in china. In the old days they charged a fortune to get on this bridge but they finally brought it down to earth. A must see day and night with the lazer show.

Amazing bridge with scenic views. A must visit if in Chaozhou. Inside certain pavilions,
there are very beautiful items displayed for sale

Although it was very crowded, it's something you have to see. It's the first bridge in the world to be able to fold a part of the bridge. A couple hundred years before England's London Bridge.
Winston Wang — Google review
A historic bridge with middle section made up of movable boats that can be opened to allowed ships to pass. Excellent restoration work to reconstruct the ancient history.

You haven’t been to Chaozhou if you haven’t visited this bridge. So here we came and were suitably impressed! CNY20 per adult was well worth it. In case you were wondering, did not walk the other quieter end of the bridge (made a u-turn back) but please let us know if we missed anything!
Nicole Lee — Google review
Walked about 15-20 minutes from Orange Hotel. Admission ticket CNY20 No re-entry, so think twice before exit. Am attracted by it's 过河拆桥 and the night view photos from Google, and it is one of the top places to be visited in Guangdong in China. It is known as Xiangzi Bridge 湘子桥. It is one of the Four Ancient Bridges 中国四大古桥 in China, which are Luoyang Bridge in Huian country, Lugou Bridge in Beijing, and Zhaozhou Bridge in Zhao Country. There are 30 bridge pavilions which are built on the piers of the bridge
In the middle of Guangji Bridge is a pontoon bridge consisting of eighteen shuttle boats. Walking on the pontoon bridge, you can have a special experience. Due to the need for navigation, the pontoon bridge is put aside at around 17:30 every day so that the cargo ships can pass through. If you happen to pass by at this time, you can also enjoy the amazing view of “removing bridge to cross river”, 过河拆桥
Angelina Angle — Google review
Highly recommended for all to visit. Even worth making a trip just to visit the bridge.
John Muzi — Google review
Good scenery. There are shops at each pavillion. If you have time, better try to cross the bridge to the old city area.

Kaiyuan Temple
Buddhist temple
Sights & Landmarks
Sacred & Religious Sites
A beautiful temple with architectural and garden details not less than those in Beijing and Xian. The stone cravings you can touch and feel are exceptional. In most other tourist sites you can just see them from a distance.
Look at the eyes of those stone people, many of them have two pupils…
It is not a big site to see for most people not interested to the religion and building art works. Still it worth the effort and entrance fee to visit.

Beautiful temple with garden. Free entry but it closes pretty early.

A must visit place if you are in Chaozhou city for Buddhist and tourist as well. Kaiyuan Temple has heritage that traces back to many years of history. You can find beautiful stone carvings, traditional dragon carving pillar and wooden architecture.

Weather was super hot, but the place is pretty cool. You have to pay if you want to walk the boat bridge.

There are 2 temple buildings inside, the new one on the right and the old one on the left. Just skim the new one, it's the old one that's more interesting.

One of the oldest temples in Chinese history.
In the main Temple the wooden plague was written by one of the Ching Dynasty's emperors 乾隆. The 2 trees in the main courtyard also been around for centuries and are treasured by many.

It is recommended to prepare trekking poles to make the climb easier
It takes 5 and a half hours to go up and down the mountain.
So bring some snacks and water just in case
Because the path is more primitive and natural
Shoes must be non-slip and easy to walk on
Although I am not a top player, I will always reach Feiyunding if I climb slowly.

Beaches
To access the Xichong Public Beach Toll Gate 1, visitors may find it necessary to utilize a taxi or other means of transportation due to its remote location. The beach itself boasts exquisite natural beauty and offers ample opportunities for swimming and engaging in various water-based activities for those seeking excitement. Conveniently, shaded tents are available for rent, which is particularly advantageous when splitting costs among a group. Furthermore, lockers are provided on site, eliminating concerns about safeguarding personal belongings.
It's beautiful and clean beach in Shenzhen, China. 2.5 hours car driving distance from the city centre. The entry of this beach is not free. The washroom facilities are available to take a shower and parking space as well.
Mohammad Tareq Abdullah — Google review
This was difficult to get to so you probably need to take a taxi of some sort for part of your journey. The beach itself was beautiful and you can swim all along the shore, as well as do a variety of water activities if you're feeling adventurous. There are shaded tents for you to rent, which would be ideal if you have a group of people to split the cost. Another great thing is that they had lockers for you to rent for the day, so you don't have to worry about your things. You need to pay a few yuan to use the restroom at the main entrance of the beach.

Dameisha Beach, also known as Dameisha Seaside Park, is a top destination in Shenzhen, China. This picturesque beach offers stunning mountain views and stretches over 1.8 kilometers along the crystal-clear waters of Dapeng Bay. Visitors can enjoy various activities such as swimming, water sports like jet skiing and parasailing, beach volleyball, and even barbecue parties on the soft sandy shores. The park is divided into different zones for different activities including leisure and water sports.

One of the most beautiful parks in shenzhen. Beautiful view on all sides. On one side is the beautiful city, skyscrapers, lighting everywhere and on the other side is the silent ocean and far away view of Hong Kong. I went there at around 7 pm and it was the most peaceful and relaxing experience of the day. People were exercising, cycling, playing . Overall a lively and wonderful experience.

Nice place to spent some summer and winter time. However, the beach could be closed during winter but you can enjoy walking around and enjoying a chot tea and coffee. You can take the bus from shenzhen city center and arrive to dameisha in less than 1 h. Pretty convenient and cheap. I highly recommend it!!
Sai Kung East Country Park is a sprawling natural area that covers the east Sai Kung Peninsula and High Island, encompassing 4,494 hectares of diverse landscapes. It boasts picturesque beaches, unique geological formations, and an extensive network of hiking trails. The park is renowned for its stunning bays and coves, including Tai Long Wan, Sai Wan, Ham Tin Wan, Tai Wan, and Tung Wan.
Hong Kong's wildest and most scenic country park. You will find UNESCO Geo park areas to see the rare hexagonal volcanic columns around the East Dam of the High Island Reservoir. There are a handful of stunning beaches along the eastern coastline. One of HK's most attractive mountains, Sharp Peak, is also located within the Sai Kung East Country Park. Lastly, the park includes MacLehose Trail - section 1 & 2 (probably the most famous stage of the 100 kilometre trek).
Note: Transportation into/out of the country park is through Sai Kung Village or by way of buses / taxis taking you through the gateway at Pak Tam Chung. No private vehicles can enter the country park to help keep traffic under control. There are some fast boats to/from a couple of the larger beaches and the Sai Kung Pier.
Note: The country park is very popular for weekend hikers and beach goers so it can be difficult getting out of the park in the evenings when everyone is trying to leave at the same time. Just something to consider.

2 times been there it takes a long hour to go there... its very nice place ,a very nice view you well enjoy taking photos,,,and going to long ke wan beach it takes hiking before you can go there you must bring food and water if want to stay there not too much heavies cuz 30 mins. hiking plus taking photos while walking😅😉 but its okay because you can see the white sand🥰🥰and the wave of the sea 🌊 enjoy a lot. and if its weekend the transportation for taxi is too much cost around 5 o'clock. and if you want by minibus too much long time to wait ..

Sai Kung East Country Park is a 44.77 sq. kilometre country park that was designated in 1978 and includes some of the most beautiful and best hiking locations in Hong Kong. It is made up of rolling hills, large reservoir, wooded and rugged mountain terrain, coastal gems with isolated beaches and features geological treasures that form part of the Hong Kong UNESCO Global GeoPark.
Early stages of the MacLehose Trail, one of National Geographic's 20 World Dream trails crosses through the Sai Kung East Country Park, providing hikers with long stretches of delightful trekking and view points. The beaches found along this hike are amongst the finest in Hong Kong. Camping is available for those interested in overnight visits.
Other hiking highlights in the area include Sharp Peak, Po Pin Chau and the short and easy Geo Trail below the High Island Reservoir East Dam. At this location, you will find one the easiest places to enjoy the UNESCO Global GeoPark where you see remarkable volcanic hexagonal columns and other geological features rarely seen anywhere.
As for transportation, local bus routes connect various points within the Country Park from Sai Kung Village. You can also hire boats to take you directly to some of the feature beaches around Long Ke and Tai Long Wan.
In the end, the Sai Kung East Country Park is one of the rural treasures in Hong Kong. It is rather isolated but connected well enough to enjoy some of its highlights as 1/2 day, full day and even overnight visits. This country park is a great place for outdoor enthusiasts who live in Hong Kong as well as visitors seeking a rural retreat from the busy city streets of the city.

Great hike from Sai Wan Ting (西灣亭) to Sai Wan (西灣) beach. Around 1-1.5 hours hike. Expect quite a lot of downhill on the way to Sai Wan, hence the return journey would be quite tough. Many people choose to take speedboat directly from Sai Wan to Sai Kung pier. You can enjoy the magnificent view of Highlands Reservoir (the largest reservoir in HK) on your way and also the small rivers nearby.
Lawrence Tang — Google review
It's just really beautiful and peaceful. Keep in mind that the last bus from the area leaves at 6pm (18h00). If you miss it you can always grab a cab but it's obviously cheaper to catch the bus.
Theresho Ntsoane — Google review
Beautiful and yet unpolluted beaches and campsites. There are 10~35kms scenic routes for hiking. Shops in Sai Wan and Ham Tin Wan provide snack & drinks. Popular for trail running events, families and teenages. But may not be easy for families with strollers or without reasonable physical fitness.

From the beautiful beaches to the highest peaks you will find a different side to Hong Kong
Sai Kung Country park is located in Eastern part of HK as the name would suggest.
My last journey took me to my favourite beaches: Tai Wan, Ham Tin Wan and Sai Wan.
If you are in the New Territories Tai Po, Fanling or Shueng Shui. I would recommend taking the ferry from Ma Lui Shui (Near University Station) to Wong Shek Pier. (It will say to Tap Mun but continues to Wing Shek) you can get off at Chek Keng. From there it is an easy walk over the hill to Ham Tin Wan.
Enjoy the outdoors and keep Hong Kong Clean
