The Classical Gardens of Suzhou, dating back to the 11th-19th centuries, are a quintessential representation of Chinese garden design. These gardens have been meticulously documented in various historical records and publications, showcasing their architectural features and cultural significance. Preserving elements such as rivers, streets, and vernacular residences within their buffer zone adds to their authenticity. Visitors seeking a comfortable stay while exploring these timeless gardens can consider Worldhotel Grand Dushulake Suzhou as an ideal accommodation option.
I love Suzhou because the city is beautiful, the city's canals, stone bridges, pagoda and beautiful gardens. Suzhou is like the Venice of China.
Take the gondola, sailing through a narrow waterway and passing stone bridges. Walking around the canals also is my favorite thing to do.
There are so many lovely and beautiful cafes, bookstores, and souvenir shops. All so artistic and pretty. Feel like step back in time.
Suzhou is also one of the top tourist destinations, so it's not easy to take pictures at the certain landmark and popular sites due to overcrowded.
The Classical Garden of Suzhou we're added to the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in 1997.
How to get here :I took the high-speed train from Hangqiao Railway station in Shangai, which only took around 30 minutes to reach Suzhou. Alternatively take a coach from West Bus Station, will takes nearly 2 hours.

Everything in the garden was designed and carried out carefully with wisdom, patience and architectural art! They matched with each other, looking very harmonious with local environment! ✌️

Classical Chinese garden design, which seeks to recreate natural landscapes in miniature, is nowhere better illustrated than in the nine gardens in the historic city of Suzhou. They are generally acknowledged to be masterpieces of the genre. Dating from the 11th-19th century, the gardens reflect the profound metaphysical importance of natural beauty in Chinese culture in their meticulous design.

The Humble Administrator's Garden is the largest classical garden in Suzhou, dating back to the Ming emperor Zhengde. It is divided into three distinct areas and is one of over 50 gardens still in existence today. Along with eight other gardens, it represents the finest examples of Chinese Mountain and Water gardens. These gardens are known for their exquisite craftsmanship, artistic elegance, and rich cultural implications.
The exemplary masterpiece among all Chinese gardens. Make this your #1 priority coming to Suzhou.
Andrew Kean Guan — Google review
If I had to name this, "humble" is probably not a word that would spring to mind. Perhaps the Administrator might have been humble, but the garden is anything but. There is an explanation in the museum as to why there are so many nice (previously) private gardens in and around SuZhou. Think "keeping up with the Jones'". So maybe the Administrator wasn't all that humble after all, just like his garden!
We went on an "off-peak" weekday, but it was still quite crowded. Nevertheless, we were able to enjoy the various "rooms" that the garden is divided up into without too much crowding. As it was spring time, there were quite a few flowers out. Overall, this was a very pleasant place to spend a half day.
The only reason that I didn't give this five stars is that even though it was an off-season weekday when we visited, some of the paths were quite narrow and it was - at times - a bit difficult to squeeze past other park visitors. I personally probably wouldn't visit during a busy time - unless crowds are your thing.
Glenn McCall — Google review
The oriental scenery is so be beautiful, not recomended to buy souvenirs inside the garden, i would suggest to somewhere 3pm, then exit at 5.00pm, then wait for night event to see the lighting from 6pm.

There are multiple traditional Suzhou-style Chinese gardens in Suzhou, and 9 of these gardens have been inscribed in World Heritage list. The most famous and notable one is the Humble Administrator's Garden. It will take you about two to three hours to finish the walk throughout most of the places of interest. It's mandatory to make a reservation of your arrival time during a busy time like summer.
It is recommended to join a tour guide service to further understand the background history and trivia behind this garden and the story of the founder. The complimentary tour guide service lasts for half an hour, guiding you through some of the most crucial buildings in the garden. You can understand more by requesting for a paid tour guide service.
There are lots of photo opportunities in the garden, and you get to experience more when the history of these incredible buildings is revealed. The current price is RMB$70 in the off-peak season and RMB$80 in the peak season.
Sean Liu — Google review
One of the must visit attractions in Suzhou.
This attraction boasts of a traditional house from ancient times with beautifully manicured gardens. The bonsai garden is especially impressive.
Remember to book your tickets well in advance. RMB70 with special prices tickets for elderly and half price for off peak seasons.
Wilson Foo — Google review
The Humble Administrator's Garden (拙政園) is the largest, finest and most beautiful garden in south China. This famous garden was built in Suzhou (蘇州) in Ming Dynasty (明朝). The designer use spaces planning and incorporated both natural and man-made materials to present various but elegant views that visitor need to discover with mind. I strong recommend to hire a tour guide to lead you into this beautiful world and explain those astonish designs.
It is better to put 3-4 hours in the itinerary to enjoy the garden.
An important thing need to be mentioned: There are lots of cheaters selling the fake ticket in very cheap price. Don't be fraud. The true ticket is sold only in the official entrance.

This Garden from Suzhou is one of the 4 most representatives and famous landscape heritage spots from all China. It was created here a small piece of heaven on the earth. The water, the green and all the artefacts in this perimeter are genuinely disposed in an authentic compound. A huge effort to create a masterpiece. Highly recommended for tourists, wherever are they coming from!

Awesome garden! I heard it was the one I would need to go to if I could only choose one and I did not regret it. The crowds couldn't be helped considering it's China and it's a UNESCO heritage site. Definitely go on a weekend. The museum and Pingjiang road are all pretty close by and there are some eats available too.
Lion Grove Garden is a classic Chinese garden located in Suzhou, China. It features intricate stone arrangements, a water feature, and an elaborate pavilion. The garden represents the essence of traditional Chinese landscaping with its use of water, stones, plants, and various buildings with literary allusions. This type of garden aims to create an urban scenery that harmonizes man with nature. Lion Grove Garden is one of nine gardens in Suzhou known for their beautiful scenes, elegant buildings, and cultural significance.
It's incredibly beautiful here. The stones are like a rocky maze and there is so much to see since it is a really big garden. There are lots of people here since it's a popular tourist attraction and only cost 40¥ to come in.

Gorgeous Chinese garden. Monks that visited long ago said that the numerous unique rock sculptures and formations appeared as though there were lions prowling through the garden forest - hence the name. Truly beautiful.

It is a creative architecture from the 14th century. Then some emperors ordered to replicated its style into their royal garden in Beijing. Very interesting but be carefully exploring.
I would spend 30 minutes here.

It's a lovely place to visit. A classic Suzhou garden and the housing that are attached to it. Well described historical markers and delightful examples of bonzai trees everywhere. Gorgeous stained glass windows. The rock garden was exquisite. As always, visiting during a national holiday is not recommended as it's insanely crowded.

A nice garden, but for me, it is not the most beautiful in Suzhou. At least not as overcrowded as Humble Administrator Garden is.
Pingjiang Lu is a historic street in Suzhou that preserves the architecture of the past and features charming stone bridges. Visitors can buy food and drinks here, walk to see ancient culture, and take only 30 minutes to get there.
Tongli Ancient Town, located in the southern outskirts of Suzhou, is a well-known water town with a history of over 1000 years. The town is characterized by its intricate network of rivers that divide it into several parts, creating a picturesque setting with old residences and hidden gardens. This ancient town has also served as the backdrop for shows adapted from Wuxia novels.
Like stepping into the pages of a Wuxia novel; in fact, some shows adapted from those books were filmed here. Love that it's off season as crowds were minimal and on the rainy days, we feel like we had the town to ourselves. Be wary of the electric scooters, though. They can sneak up on you as they don't make any sound. Also, some merchants are aggressive and unscrupulous and will lure you into their stores with free samples; as soon as you enter the store, you are an insect in a Venus fly trap! Also, most of the restaurants inside the old city serve pretty much the same dishes. For more variety, go into the regular part of town.

Shanghai Grand View Park is a meticulously designed garden inspired by the fictional setting of Dream of the Red Mansions. Shanghai Ancient Town at Zhujiajiao Tourism Development Co., Ltd. is a 1,700-year-old water town often called the Venice of Shanghai. It boasts well-preserved ancient artifacts, a rice market, and 36 stone bridges. The town features classical Qing and Ming Dynasty architecture and offers boat tours to explore its beautiful old residences, bridges, and shops. Visitors can also enjoy indoor attractions such as mansions, exhibitions, and calligraphy displays.
Quite pretty water town, went in the morning. I think night time it will be great as well. A few places to explore indoor as well like mansion, exhibition, calligraphy around which you can buy the ticket bundle at the entrance or if you want individual tickets the spot is also do-able. A little commercial since its tourist spots as well. A boat tour to go cross the river to another side of the bank is a good experience as well.

Came here during a weekday, so a good chunk of stores were closed at the time. It's a gorgeous place though it is certainly gentrified and filled with somewhat irrelevant touristy shops. Though I'd still recommend to pay a visit here.
You can take the train which is quite time consuming. I've done it with express bus from People's Square for ~7 RMB one way, as well as private taxi (Didi) for ~100 RMB.

The Shanghai Auto Museum is a must-visit for car enthusiasts, showcasing a diverse collection of vintage vehicles and classic cars. Located in the Shanghai Auto Expo Park at Anting Town of Jiading District, the museum offers an extensive look at the past 100 years of automobile history. With over 70 rare vehicles on display, visitors can explore the evolution of modern cars and learn about the assembly of different car parts.
Well curated museum and lots of information as long as you get a guide. Without a guide you're just looking at the eye candy. It's in the middle of nowhere if you are staying in downtown Shanghai so it may be a trek. If you love cars though, it's worth a visit. Although imyou may have seen all these cars before with the exception of the China specific cars.
Mike X — Google review
Visited in February 22, on a Sunday. Started to get busy in the afternoon, but quiet in the morning. The museum shows great samples well preserved historical cars from different countries. It is definitely worth a visit if you like history of transportation. You also get a glimpse of what Shanghai looked 100 years ago for transport , roads and traffic.

Car museum located in the Anting Shanghai International Auto City area. Definitely a must see if you are interested in cars especially classic cars. 60 RMB for an adult ticket.
Open Tuesday-Sunday 9:30am to 4:30pm. Closed earlier in the day than expected so take note to get there earlier. I easily spent over 3 hours browsing the 3 floors of cars and information.
First floor has the history of the automobile from the wheel to the first diesel engine, auto transmission, and assembly line. Lots of cool stuff to see.
Next floor has a history of the automobile in China.
3rd floor is comprised of antique classic car collections and an extended range of miniature car models.
On the top level there is a learning and discovering area for children and adults which teaches you about how cars work and the parts of the car (engine combustion cycle, transmission, suspension, steering, etc.) All of the children's stuff is in Chinese however. Also F1 racing simulators on this level.
There is a gift shop by the entrance that sales lots of miniature car models.
Great if you can occupy yourself, not many guide options and only restroom I saw was on the top floor.
Definitely check it out for the classic cars alone.

Very well built F1 track with huge grand stand and lots of facilities. If budget is a factor the best seats are at the K stand hairpin curve. I'd give it 5 stars if those were not occupied by the F1 race in Singapore.

Got the chance to come here for a VIP race in late 2016 and it was awesome. Got to head down to track level and eat some food with the racers. Wicked time. Headed up to the stands to see the beginning of the race and then when it started raining, headed inside to get warm. Awesome event!

Excellent views of most of the circuit, that itself provides plenty of on track action. My only gripe would be some escalators to at least get up a few levels of the very high grandstand, and some better food options, and maybe some beverage outlets in the grandstand itself (on a higher level)

This was a surreal moment for me as it was the very first time I watched my favourite sport, Formula 1 motor racing live. I was just concluding a business trip in China and had to extend the flight out of Pudong international to go to the UBS (then) racing circuit to watch the race over 50kms from where I was residing. I was so fortunate that this was the last season that the v8 awesome sounding cars were to be used before the dawn of the hybrid era. I was so exhilarated that instead of plugging the ear buds provided on entry, into my ears, I instead threw them in my pocket just to enjoy the engine sounds. It was indeed one of my life's numerous exciting moments. I just love the ambience, the crowds and of course the sounds at racing circuits, be it motogp, F1 or WRC. I hope F1 will soon return to that fantastic circuit.

The F1 Chinese Grand Prix is an absolutely amazing motorsport experience. The speed and sound of the F1 cars is truly unbelievable and a must see for all motorsport enthusiasts. The track is well organized but the queues on race day are very long so make sure to go early. The food caters for Western and Eastern tastes but overall is not very good. All stars for nature. Staying in Shanghai for a long time could be oppressing. This Park could be an ideal escape from the city. You can easily use public bus with that cost only 22 RMB (have yet to count your transportation fee to the main bus station). If you are students, remember to bring student cards (even if you are from non-Chinese universities, they just check the graduation dates). The entrance tickets for students are 30 RMB (prettt affordanle for efforts to plan more trees!)
Bike renting process annoys us a lot. My friend and I are both foreigner. We only have alipay as a payment method. Eventhough the banner does show accepting alipay. Staff said they only accept Wechat pay. We could not do that as we don’t have Chinese accounts. If we want to use Alipay, we have to deposit 200 RMB for each bike, which does not apply to people who pay with Wechat Pay. Anyways, we decided to walk cause we kinda felt weird. Exploring the park by walking turns out pretty good; we will stopped by places a bit more easily.
Walking and exploring half of the park takes us around 1 hour and a half. If you bike, you can go around the park in 1 hour (that what the staff said, but probably you will not see the nitty gritty).
Enjoy your trip! Cheers!

Feel a little cheated to come all the way here and there is nothing much. It’s not really worth it unless you have a lot of time to spare in Shanghai. Or you are looking for somewhere to take wedding photo. Thames town is a residential estate so don’t expect anything to shop or even eat. Just a few eateries targeting on tourist. The place is not very big so you can finish in half an hour. A lot of couples took their wedding shots here.
Hazel Yew — Google review
I don't know where to start. At some point this was maybe a good idea but then hardly anyone moved in and those who did moved out because no commerce got started and then the weeds and wedding photography studios took over. I feel sorry for anybody like me who thought they could grab a pint in a proper local pub. I was trying the door for far too long before it dawned on me there is nobody home in Thames Town. It should be rebranded as a huge Britain-themed film lot.
Drew Bates — Google review
Fairly interesting 'British Town' in Shanghai. Has a church, winding cobbled streets and mock tudor housing. Could be improved with 'british' cafes or even a British pub! It is a bit of a ghost town to be honest. There are quite a lot of couples taking pre-wedding photos which is nice. If taking the subway, get out at Songjiang Xincheng (Line 9) and take the bus (松江16) rather than walking the whole way, as it's quite a walk (about an hour). It's free to walk around.

Very cool place for shooting, kinda European style village. Was extremely happy to visit it. And you have to take a cab or a bus to get there, but its pretty affordable.

Quite far from city center. There are similar towns, like Holland town but this one seemed to me the most busy and occupied.

I'll never travel to Ningbo without this trip planner again
Nanjing Road is one of the busiest and most famous shopping streets in Shanghai. It's filled with bright lights, endless activity, and waxworks if you're into that sort of thing. It's a place where you can spend hours walking up and down, exploring all the shops and restaurants. If you're looking for upscale shopping or some of the best food in Shanghai, Nanjing Road is definitely worth checking out.
Shanghai Museum is a massive, free museum that houses an extensive collection of Chinese art and artifacts. The museum's striking $70 million building resembles an ancient bronze cooking vessel and offers a stunning display of China's finest art. With five floors and a total area of 39,200 square meters, the museum showcases various exhibits including bronze and jade artifacts, sculptures, paintings, calligraphy, Ming furniture, ethnic costumes, coins, and pottery from different periods in China's history.
🎭Art & Culture: Beautiful collection of traditional and modern Chinese art and culture. The Shanghai museum is a perfectly preserved capsule of the decades and centuries. The museum is free to enter.
There is a paid audio guide that is well worth using. The diverse historical lineage of Chinese tradition is explained extremely well with the voice guide, in your language of choice.
The use of different media and historical symbolism of this nation’s artwork, is much deeper than face value.
If you enjoy historical museums, this is one to add to your list!
The museum was also not terribly crowded which made for a deeply personal experience.
Natalia Jofre — Google review
It's a decent place to spend an hour. Quite crowded though as tourists and students alike all come in mass. There were 4 floors but only 2 open exhibits on the 4th floor, 1 open on the 3rd floor, and 1 open on the 1st floor. And the amount of people made it difficult to see an entire exhibit.
David Luo — Google review
Great place to visit if you like history and culture. I really enjoyed the museum. The entrance is free and it's also located in a beautiful park. You will feel every bit of history has they have carefully collected and kept each piece.

Big pot shaped building just at the side of famous Peoples Square of Shanghai had enormous collections depicting Chinese history. The building architect was inspired by the priceless big circular tripod pot with two ears bronze vessels called Da Ke Ding from Zhou dynasty (1046-771 BC). Inside of the building looked glistening with granites, marbles & art works. A lot of rooms were exhibiting various periods of Chinese cultures & arts. Basically, it was a modern world class museum in ancient style building showing historical priceless Chinese cultural relics.

A "MUST SEE" FOR VISITORS TO SHANGHAI
The Museum is a very well curated collection of amazing items from China's long history.
Its free and open every day except Monday. Tour guides will advise that a passport is needed for entry but we were able to enter with no ID at all.
You can get a free (English) audio guide - for this you'll need to leave a 400 Yuan refundable deposit (or leave some ID such as drivers licence or ...yes.. your passport!)
Its an oasis of cool and quiet and you can easily spend a few hours here marvelling at the age and beauty of the exhibits. Good printed guides in Chinese and English.
Guided tours offered but with the audio guide I think you better off doing it yourself and spending time on the things that intrigue you the most.
There is a good cafe inside (with good coffee!) and on each floor you will find a souvenir shop with some good (easily packed) treasures to take home :)
There is security screening on entry. This museum will not present any problems for people with mobility issues as it has level floors and lifts and escalators.
Nearest Metro train station is People's Square (a fair walk just the same which can be tiring in the hot, sticky weather).
Ian Woodruff — Google review
This museum gathers traditional and modern Chinese art and culture. The rare cultural pieces are from different decades and centuries. You will not have to pay for entrance. But if you will you can pay for an audio guide for your visit.
Inside the building, the combination use of granite, marble and artwork is really inspiring. The museum has a collection of over 120,000 pieces. It has 11 galleries and 3 special temporary exhibition halls. It took me 3 hours to visit. Hopefully, it was not crowded.

Great museum. I gave only 4 stats, just because it is very hard to reserve entrance ticket for weekend. The ticket is free, but you need to reserve it via museum website. You will need Chinese telephone number for that. They open slots in week before, but all slots for Saturday and Sunday are immediately reserved. I visited this museum twice. My second visit was not so successful: only several halls were open, others were closed for renewing. Very often there is a special exposition on the ground floor, and it could be not free.

It captures the shanghai story in the 1900。some of the artifacts are colorful。other stories relate to the rise of the communist party。the building is huge and provides some quiet time one to think about our past, terrible effects of war。FREE entry

This museum is the largest we have visited in Shanghai so far. We spent a whole day there. It has four stories, with entire wings dedicated to chinese bronze, jade, calligraphy, money, ceramics, furniture and Chinese paintings.
The most fun part is its gift shop. It has replicas of the exhibits available to purchase (vases, beautiful tea cups, paintings, even bronze containers) if you can afford it.
Timon Pound — Google review
The Shanghai Museum is a cultural treasure trove. Its vast collection of artifacts, including ancient ceramics, calligraphy, and exquisite artworks, offers a captivating glimpse into China's rich history. The museum's modern architecture and well-curated exhibits make it a must-visit destination for art and history enthusiasts. A journey through time and culture.
Pranesh Guna — Google review
If you don't speak Chinese, I don't recommend trying to gain entrance without a Chinese speaking friend. Entrance is free but you need a reservation to get in. If you just front up to the museum without a reservation you'll need to find the little kiosk near the exit of the gift shop. Here the person will check your passports and give you an entrance time, but they only release a few times every 30 minutes or so (at least that's how it seemed to work).
Once you get past that it's pretty straightforward getting in. Our visit was in winter so some of the exhibits were closed for refurbishing. On the plus side that means it wasn't too crowded.
Michelle Phelan — Google review
Most galleries were closed when we visited on 13 Jan 24, but still worth a visit.
Need to reserve tickets for weekends, which are free. However, you do need a local phone number to reserve. We just tried our luck and a kind young man told us to wait for a while, before helping us to book tickets during the next entrance time.
Exhibitions were well spaced, can't complain since it's all free!
The Shanghai French Concession Needle General Yard Former Site is a repurposed factory area that has been transformed into a vibrant pedestrianized neighborhood filled with shops, restaurants, and a creative atmosphere. This charming district was once a settlement for French colonialists and is known for its mix of old and new architecture, including the 1924 Normandie Apartments and the 1930s Art Deco Cathay Theater. The area's leafy canopy of plane trees adds to its allure.
The Bund is a historic 1,500-meter-long waterfront promenade in Shanghai, featuring a mix of modern and colonial buildings. The area has undergone gentrification, attracting luxury brands like MCM, Cartier, Prada, and Ralph Lauren to set up shop in former colonial banking and trading headquarters along the Huangpu River.
A great place for a walk. You can admire the modern architecture of the city. One of the most recognizable places in Shanghai. Beautiful views. Especially the views at night are very impressive. You can also take the ferry for a small amount of money. It is worth it.

Absolutely beautiful place. Especially at night it is so pretty with all the lights. The view is spectacular. And there is such a diversity in architecture one cannot fathom it until you visit. At one side there are massive skyscrapers, at the others some gorgeous older buildings, and then a few blocks away there is a huge garden full of ancient chinese architecture. Then in another direction there is the longest shopping street in the world.

This is a popular site for both locals and visitors. It’s a stretch of the promenade on the side of Old Shanghai on the Huangpu River. It’s a a place to view skyscrapers of modern Shanghai. 😎😎😎
It’s crowded all day and night until late when the illuminating lights are switched off.
It’s truly a magnificent vista of what Shanghai is now to the entire world.😎😎😎.
The most noticeable of the towers is the Oriental Pearl. There’s also the Shanghai Tower, the 2nd tallest building in the world. And depending on where you’re on the viewing promenade, is the Jin Mao tower, which to me has some semblance (on the outside) of NYC’s Chrysler Building.

Something you can’t miss in Shanghai - the magical night view of the famous and historical architecture of the Bund.
It was super crowded on the second day of the Lunar New Year, but traffic control was on point and safe.
Looking to the Lujiazui side across the Huangpu Rover tells you the modernisation of the city of Shanghai transforming into one of the most important financial centres of the East. The night light of the Oriental Pearl TV Tower explain why Shanghai is called the “Capital of Magic” or “Enchanting City”.
Turn around, the historical architecture view of Zhongshan Road will impress you and leave a mind lasting picture.

Beautiful must see spot for every visitor coming to Shanghai. Showing off the beautifully restored buildings built in the Qing and Ming era, these buildings have been painstaking and carefully preserved to show their off the authentic Chinese architecture. Each corner is a picture postcard worthy shot.
Very short distance from most major downtown hotels and the metro is just on the doorstep. Lots of dining options here including refined restaurants and tea houses and budget street food options.
You can get tourist souvenirs from the myriad of small shops and malls in the area. The buildings light up after 530pm giving a different feel of the area. Gets busy in the evenings, weekends and public holidays. Plan ahead for your visit as road closures around the area are frequent for crowd control. 😀

The Shanghai World Financial Center is a towering skyscraper with 101 floors that boasts an elevated hotel, exquisite views, shops and eateries. While it may have been surpassed in height by the neighboring Shangha Tower, this awe-inspiring building stands tall at 492 meters and its top glimmers with dancing lights at night. The observation decks on levels 94, 97 and 100 offer breathtaking views but come with high-priced tickets.
This is a really tall tower! We took a futuristic elevator up to the 100th floor where there was an observation deck made of glass. You can look down below and see all the cars driving on the road, they look like ants. If you are afraid of heights, it might be your worst nightmare but it was a cool experience.

以古鎮來說規模有點太小
賣的東西也不算很有特色
最好搭配附近的景點
不然單去這樣會有點無聊

Bihai Jinsha offers a wide range of activities such as water skiing, sightseeing flights, motor boats, buggies, and foot and hand boats. Visitors can also enjoy the artificial sandy beach which spans about 300 meters. The area includes changing rooms, restrooms, shops, and various dining options. While the beach side may not be exceptional, the overall atmosphere is vibrant with several shops and restaurants to explore.

Not the best beach but its decent to escape the city for a while. Dog friendly, no waves and some plastic in the water.

Shanghai Wild Animal Park is a vast 378-acre park featuring over 200 animals, bus tours, animal shows, and outdoor habitats. Families can enjoy a special bus tour to see elephants, pandas, tigers, bears, lions, monkeys, giraffes and more. For those interested in insects, the nearby Shanghai Natural Wild-insect Kingdom offers a fascinating collection of living insects from Southeast Asian countries and reptiles from South American countries.
Awesome. Very educated place. Well manage and well organized. Especially for the wild animal. It will be much2 better if the tour bus use electrical transport mode. It will reduce polution inside the wild animal area.
And really happy to see the animals are being take good care. Love the big pandas as well.

It was huge Wild Animal park, lots of animals known and rare. Giant panda is main attraction. You can get snacks and shopping options inside.
Electric car inside zoo are limited and long queue to opt it.

The kids loved it here, and one of them liked it more than the Shanghai Zoo. It's about the same size, maybe smaller, and strangely for a zoo it feels more modern. The bus tour was worth it, we heard the "beasts" are hit or miss and we hit big time. If you've been to a zoo before, though, it can be meh.
S G — Google review
A pretty nice place to see kinds of animals. There is a lot of ways you can choose to tour the park. You can take the bus to visit the beast area. You can take the ship to tour around the monkey zone. Also, the circus inside is amazing. Incredible shows without animals.

Very big park, you can easily spend the whole day walking around. It´s possible to rent Surrey cycles (bike w/4 wheels & 4 seats) on normal weekdays (Not available on crowded days).
You will for sure go hungry and thirsty, so a god idea to bring your own snacks.
The park have a few animal shows, so be sure to plan your visit, so you don´t miss out on the entertainment as well as a chance to sit down in the shade.
There is a lot of street vendors outside and pirate taxi´s you might want to avoid.
Better to some early in the day, so you avoid rush hour later when leaving, there will most certainly be traffic jam outside park and almost impossible to hail a taxi.

its like beeming urself to a wild park in africa in just 40 minutes from shanghai bustling metropole! i was impressed how well organized that is. only thing is that the young pandas didnt want to show up at that day.
worth spending a full day if ur with family.

Shanghai have 2 Zoo , that one (Pudong side ) is the best , i think also in the world have a few this kind of special zoo..
Price not cheap but really you can enjoy , 1 day not enough for see everywhere , last time i visited 9 am and never stop until 5 pm ,didn’t see everywhere , you can imagine how big is there...
All day they have attractions and shows , you can check details from your ticket...
For me the best part was safari tour , if you choose normal bus it’s free with your ticket but last time i payed and choose open safari bus(without glass) and i feld i’m in Africa , Amazing...

Everywhere I go I MUST visit the zoo in the area. I love animals and seeing ones I cant really see back in Texas is a plus. Nice zoo and even has a circus near it.
Mary Fisher — Google review
I don't know if this is the most humane zoo, but In terms of being able to see the animals up close and active, often even being able to feed and touch them (flamingos, kangaroos, elephants, giraffes) I've never seen a better zoo. They have rare animals like ligers, they have a bus you can ride through animal habitats from which they are fed, giving you a close look at even dangerous carnivores. One lets you feed them and the other you cant but the driver still feeds them so I thought it was worth the 40 yuan per person or so we saved by taking the cheaper bus. A bear even climbed onto the caged bus, refusing to let go until he was fed. It's near Disneyland so if you head there or to the airport it's worth visiting. The food there is terrible so you should eat before going or bring your own.
This is a good destination for the weekend. It's convenient to take metro to get here.Very big museum. And it's better to bring water and cracker by yourself. Nearby you can find a lovely lake to sightsee. More details, twitter me @ jerryshanghai , I am a local tour guide with car service.

China Maritime Museum is the largest and the only state owned maritime museum in China. Located by the Dishui Lake in Lingang New Townm Pudong Area. There are six major exhibitions in museum, including "Hall of Chinese Navigation History", "Hall of Ships", "Hall of Navigation and Ports", "Hall of Maritime Affairs and Sea Safety", "Hall of eafarers", and "Hall of Military Navigation". Also it has a 4D Movie Theater, a Spherical Planetarium and a cafe.

(Translated by Google) Seriously speaking, the content of the visit can still be given four stars, but this museum is really far away from the city. After traveling all the way to see such content, I feel that the CP value is a bit low, so I deducted one star.
The museum opens at 9:30. If you come from the city, you won't have time to open the door. And then it is only open until 4 p.m., so the time is still tight.
Some of the contents in the museum overlap with the Overseas Transportation History Museum in Quanzhou. The museum in Quanzhou has more models and introductions, but the advantage of this museum is that the exhibition layout is more reasonable and it is good at creating a sense of atmosphere. People of all ages are generally interested in ships. Can be integrated into an immersive visit.
The atrium of the museum is a huge fortune ship. Although you can board the ship to visit, you can only see it from a small deck in the middle. I can only say that it is better than nothing.

(Translated by Google) The museum has three floors and a very large space. It has multiple exhibition halls covering historical relics and popular science supplies. It takes at least two hours to browse through. There are a variety of ship models, as well as hands-on equipment to help viewers understand how ships operate. In addition to text introductions, there are also some video playbacks next to the exhibits, which are very useful for understanding navigation knowledge. However, there are almost no commercial facilities around the museum, and it is also three kilometers away from the subway station. You need to transfer from subway to bus to get there. If you are hungry, you can only eat in the restaurant on the first floor of the museum, which is relatively expensive.

(Translated by Google) It’s a big space, with the largest artificial lake on the outside. The first thing that catches your eye after entering is the Dafu Ship (a replica of Zheng He’s ship that sailed to the West). It should be three stories high. I think the most fun thing is the simulated sailing. On the Huangpu River, there is also a distant view of snow falling on the river in winter, as if you are sailing on a boat.

It was created for the purpose of a comprehensive leisure town by incorporating tourist infrastructure around it.
It's far from the city, so you can feel pretty cool.
It can be reached by subway, and there is a giant ring-like sculpture in the center of the lake.
There are hotels and cabins and barbecue rooms around,
There are not many tourists, so it is not known whether it is actually operated..
If you go a little further from here, you can see Shanghai's beach dyed'yellow'.
