Excellent just love ❤️ this place. This place is owned by Amul company itself. Located just outside the main production facility. All amul products are available here some of which are not available in local shops all across the country. Beside amul normal products atta, ketchup, cola , bread etc are available here. Quality is too good. Amul cola is good in taste. Keychup also tastes very good.

Factory outlet of amul right outside amul dairy. Huge place which offers all amul products including products which I haven't seen anywhere else. I wasn't aware that amul even produces bread until I visited this place. They also have a restaurant at this place where they serve some mouth watering food.

One of India's pride has always been Amul. It has held a place in every Indian's heart. Witnessing the home at Anand and being given a friendly tour, at absolutely no cost is what makes this place a must visit. The food plaza is also a must visit after the industrial tour.

The food here is surprisingly good and the quality is fantastic,
There are 2 options for seating you could either sit inside a restaurant kind of place or you can sit outside the outlet on the benches, both get pretty crowded on the weekends.
Great place to get a snack with your family or friends.
Siddhivinayak Temple, located in Mahemdavad, Gujarat, is a magnificent temple built in the shape of an elephant to honor Lord Ganesh. The temple boasts of stunning architecture both inside and outside that gives visitors a feeling of being in a cave. It also displays Lord Ganeshas idols from different countries like Afghanistan and China. The surroundings are adorned with beautifully landscaped gardens, an amusement park, and a food court that offers various meals throughout the day.
A Marvelous place spread in huge area. The place has a Lord Ganesha cave inside which there is the entire temple and other religious things. It has a huge garden before the temple and near the parking area where one can simply sit, relax and enjoy their time with family, friends and loved one's. Not to mention the parking capacity is Enormous. The place has beautiful statues and greenery which makes it a very good location for photography. The cave has Many temples inside and also a brief of history on Lord Ganesha and the countries other than India which has temples of him worshipping him. There's an ayurvedic medical store and free treatment center inside. Also pure and hygiene prasaad is available inside the cave itself. There is the facility of washrooms and drinking water available at few instances for the convenience of the public. There is an enormous food court just besides the temple, which has each n every type of food and cuisine available. The quality of the food is really good and the pricing is remarkable, also the quantity was satisfactory. The food court also has sitting arrangements in form of tables which is quite a good thing. It had breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner along with appetizer, drinks and desserts available. Overall this place is a really nice and enjoyable place to send you day at and this isn't an overstatement.

It has developed so much.... Cafeteria with big varieties, kids play area and fountains of elephant sculpture..... Very nice place.... But I cut one star as it don't provide proper parking guidance, when crowded. And it used to be a clam & peaceful place, now it's not.
One thing is superb there which I've not seen in any temple that it provides free of cost senior citizens'pass. With this pass, Seniors can use the lift and no need to stand in line. They also provide e-kart service for seniors!

Excellent place to relax, also the temple has great architecture both inside and outside, it feels like if you’re in a cave or something, I was really fascinated by the Lord Ganesha’s idols from different countries such as Afghanistan and China! Apart from that, the food court also had a variety of meals to provide, but when I was there at around 5 PM, it didn’t had any of my likings like falafel or tacos!

Situated in Prabhadevi Area. Shoes are handed in for safekeeping for a small donation ( not compulsory). Pay 50 rupees to join a faster queue. Purchase an offering of fruit, flowers, sweets, coconut from 100 rupees. The queue of worshippers enter the enclave and pay homepage to Lord Ganesha n request for their wishes to be fulfilled. I recently visited the Shri Siddhivinayak Temple in Mehemdavad, India. The temple is dedicated to Ganesha, the elephant-headed god of wisdom and remover of obstacles. It is one of the most popular temples in India, and it is always crowded with devotees.
I felt a sense of peace and tranquility as I visited the temple. I felt like I was in a special place, where I could connect with my faith. I would definitely recommend visiting the Siddhivinayak Temple to anyone interested in Hindu culture or spirituality.
The atmosphere in the temple is one of devotion and reverence. The devotees are quietly chanting prayers and offerings to Ganesha. The air is filled with the smell of incense and flowers.

Shree Siddhivinayak Devasthan, located in Mahemdabad, Gujarat. is a unique temple that stands out for its impressive size and structure that was confirmed by Asia Book of Records and India Books of Records on June 4, 2023. It is the largest temple in Asia that features the face of Lord Ganesha.
The temple's construction was started on 8th January 2010, making it a relatively new addition to the city's religious landmarks. With a length of 120.98 feet, a breadth of 84.25 feet, and a height of 71 feet (including the 8-foot shikhar height), the temple's face and the structure of Lord Ganesha is a remarkable sight to behold. The temple is spread over an area of 22 bighas, making it an expansive religious complex that attracts thousands of devotees every day. Every day more than 1000 devotees from all over India and abroad visit the temple to seek blessings and worship the deity.

The place is so nice and clean even there are lots of visitors so good work done by cleaning staff. Lot of things to do around. Lot of food stalls. However some of the old monuments and attractions need some renovation and maintenance.

The entry fee for the lake is Rs 10 per person. It is better to scan the QR code present at the entry gate and buy the tickets for the lake and the zoo to avoid the hassle of standing in a queue.
Ample parking is available from Rs. 90 onwards.
There is a lot of activities that one can enjoy with friends and family, starting from visiting the zoo, boating, haunted house etc. Visit the lake on weekdays to avoid the crowd.
Drinking water and washrooms are also available. There are also some decent eating joints.

Vast expanse to spend some, alone time😁 though I would prefer it to be more quiet.🔇🔕😶🤫
The authorities should ensure that the lake is maintained clean. The least they can do is to educate or penalize the unruly public who litter their surroundings. There are enough trash cans, yet these plastic bottles end up in the lake.
Boat riding is a very short lived experience for a 130rs ticket.
Trams look attractive that facilitates a whole view of this place in a leisurely manner.
Towards evening, it is excessively crowded and noisy.
Good place to hang out with your friends, family or even just yourself 😁.
It was raining heavily and thus I was spared of a huge rush that we usually witness on weekends.
Entry fee is 20 rs.
Boat riding is not that satisfactory for an amount of rs130. Just a quick round, and it's over in the wink of an eye.
The overall view of the whole river front is aesthetically very good. There are many food chains where you can treat yourself to yummy food or even a softee. 😊😋🍨🍧🍦🥃
A ride in the tram is something I might try next time.

Pros: The lake and surrounding infrastructure has developed a lot since I lasted visited the place 20 years ago. There are a lot of things for kids to play and watch.
Cons: Complicated ticketing process as tickets need to be purchased at various points - entrance, zoo, rides etc. Parking facility is inconvenient and not developed at all. The condition of zoo animals and enclosures are poor. We saw the skinniest Lion ever! And finally, there was no drinking water in the zoo and the facilities including toilets were not clean.
The lively and busy street Manek Chowk Rd in Ahmedabad is a popular place to hang out. The Sabarmati Riverfront is one of the newer additions to Ahmedabad's attractions, and it offers beautiful views of the city at night. It also has attractions such as a zip-line and boat rentals.
Sabarmati Riverfront is definitely a go-to place. Lot of activities available like speed boating, yachts, kids boating area. Water scooter, cycling, Boat rides, and good restaurants. Best time to visit is early morning or evening after 7 pm. Currently some areas are restricted for general people. During Evening city lights makes this place worth spending time. However it is not wheelchair friendly. Someone should definitely think about it..

It's our regular hangout place. It's better to drive here through 2 wheelers instead of a car. Police may get you a penalty ticket if you park outside around the road.
You can walk around a bit at night time. You can jog or excercise in the morning and you can ride a bicycle as well.
You may wanna try sitting at a quite and peaceful place instead of crowded place. A lot people come here with their families and their partners too.

The riverfront is nice but the accessibility is a bit hectic. If an old person wants to visit the place there are no amenities one has to walk a long distance. There is a facility of using bikes. But what's the point if one has to return the same place after the ride.it would have been better if the bike points have a linkage from one to others . There's a boat rides too which follows the same facility as bikes.Overall its nice place to visit but when one has spent so much on the development of waterfront. Its better to overlook the accessibility in the development too.

One of the best visiting places in Ahmedabad is the Sabarmati River Front. I literally spent hours sitting by the river, feeling the mild breeze and enjoying the sunset. They made a park also. Which wasn't the centre of attraction for me. Rather, I enjoyed the sitting area and the walking/running path made around the river. Many people go for morning/evening walks as I sat there and saw. A place for good vibes indeed.

The Dharoi Dam constructed in 1976 upstream of Ahmedabad controls water and protects from flooding while Vasna Barrage constructed in 1976 downstream retains water in the river along the city banks and diverts it through Fatehwadi canal for irrigation. The Narmada Canal, which crosses Sabarmati a few kilometres upstream from the city, is part of a larger canal network of Sardar Sarovar Dam. The canal can feed excess water to the river and maintains the level of water in the river which is retained through Vasna Barrage.
The Sabarmati Ashram will be also connected to lower promenade and existing steps will be developed as an amphitheater. The 3.3 ha Heritage Plaza along the city walls between Ellis Bridge and Nehru Bridge will be designed as open space showcasing heritage, history and culture of the city. Some sports complexes are also proposed. Thank You 🙏🏻

If you are new to this city then probably you will find difficulty in car and bike but this place is fully equipped with multistorey car and bike parking exactly opposite to this park entry and from this parking you can directly enter into the park premises from the first floor. Outside eatables are allowed and food served on this site probably you may not like it and so suggestions take it from outside.

Such a wonderful place. Calm and serene. The riverfront sides have cycle rental facilities which seemed a bit costly. However its worth it. The view of atal bridge from the riverfront is so good. I have lot of good memories in this place.

The riverfront on Sabarmati River has given new identity to Ahmedabad. The Riverfront has quickly become popular hangout destination for Amdavadis.
I lived in Ahmedabad from 1979 to 1994 before moving to US. But, today’s Ahmedabad is completely different and has transformed into one of the best cities in India. The major credit goes to Sabarmati Riverfront.
Since, there are not many public parks in the city, the Riverfront has become major attraction both for locals and tourists. To my surprise, the gardens were well maintained and reasonably clean.
The Atal walking bridge is part of the whole riverfront project and connects the East and West of Sabarmati Riverfront. The colorful walking bridge is like a tail of the kite (kite flying is very popular here). You can view the beautiful river and city lighting from the bridge and relax on the benches (if you find a place).
The negative side of the place is that it is too crowded to sit and relax. It is hard to take pictures without photobombing. The place could have been much cleaner. Everything looked dusty. If you are in Ahmedabad, it is recommended to visit in the evening time.

Kudos to AUDA for the development they have done. Amazing work done. Looks like you are in a new country. Also the people of Ahemdabad are too kind, helpful and jolly who supported the system in keeping this place and setting a benchmark. Delhi should also work on such things and make masterpieces in Delhi also.
Online tickets are available and parking is free. Please note free parking as there are people asking money for the parking and running a scam.

Build around the sabarmati river, it is a paradise for walkers and people who want to spent some time together. Both electric and normal cycles for rent available. There was previously boating now I think it's stopped. A small cruise boat for large crowds is available though.

The Sabarmati Riverfront, a splendid 11km concrete promenade, offers a captivating view of the Sabarmati River. Its daytime ambiance is a harmonious blend of Brutalist and Modernist architecture, punctuated by the verdant greenery of Neem trees, adding a touch of nature to the urban landscape.
During weekdays, the Riverfront is typically less crowded, making it an ideal spot for tranquil walks or leisure activities. The weekends attract more visitors, yet the expansive space ensures there's room for everyone. With no entry fee, it serves as a perfect weekend retreat for families.
The Riverfront stretches across various localities, some of which may not be safe at certain times. Therefore, if you plan to explore the entire length of the Riverfront, either on foot or by bicycle, it's advisable to do so in the company of others.
The atmosphere here is positively vibrant, particularly during winter mornings. It's a sight to behold as the cityscape is bathed in the warm glow of the rising sun. I highly recommend a visit to the Sabarmati Riverfront for anyone seeking to experience this beautiful spectacle.

Our recent family excursion to the 'Dinosaur Fossil Park and Museum' in Raiyoli, Balasinor, Gujarat 388265, was an absolute delight, especially for our kids. This exceptional destination exceeded our expectations in every way, making it a perfect outing for families.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by the sheer enormity of the museum, which is a fitting homage to these colossal prehistoric creatures. The first thing that caught our eye were the original dinosaur eggs on display, a truly remarkable sight that had our kids in awe. The opportunity to witness these ancient artifacts up close was an educational experience we'll never forget.
The museum houses an extensive collection of dinosaur skulls, each with its own captivating story. As our kids examined these fossils, they were transported back in time, imagining the world when these magnificent creatures roamed the Earth. The interactive exhibits and informative plaques provided rich context, making it a fantastic learning opportunity for young minds.
One of the absolute highlights of our visit was the thrilling 5D movie experience. Our kids were not only educated but thoroughly entertained as they embarked on a thrilling journey into the dinosaur era. The sensory immersion left a lasting impression, and they couldn't stop talking about it.
Throughout the museum, there are more than 10 galleries dedicated to dinosaurs, offering a comprehensive look into their lives. Our children were engrossed in learning about dinosaur biology, habitats, and evolution. The museum's commitment to education is commendable, and it's clear that they've created a space that both educates and entertains.
What truly stood out during our visit was the enthusiasm of the staff, who were eager to share their knowledge and engage with our children. They made the experience even more enjoyable, answering our kids' endless questions with patience and enthusiasm.
To top it all off, the entry cost is incredibly reasonable, at just ₹400 per person. Considering the wealth of knowledge, entertainment, and sheer joy this museum offers, it's a true value for money. You can get so much for ₹400, making it an accessible and enriching experience for everyone.

An absolute waste place. Do not visit this place as this place will completely spoil your expectations. This fossil park has fossils which appears like stones, if information board isn’t there on top of this so called fossils then every one will consider them as stones. In the name of fossil all you get to see is fragments arranged shapelessly.
Museum is OK but honestly nobody comes so far in the middle of nowhere to see some man-made statues of dinosaurs. The fossil park spoils your mood so much that no museum can uplift it.

I recently visited Balasinor Dinosaur Park last Sunday and initially had some concerns about transportation. Unfortunately, there was no transportation facility available, so you have to go with your personal car, bike, or other means of transportation. Public transportation options like buses, taxis, or rickshaws were not available, which was a bit inconvenient. However, this is just a minor issue and shouldn't deter you from visiting.
Once I entered the park, I realized that it is one of the best places I have ever visited. The museum was inaugurated by Vijay Rupani last year and offers a thorough insight into the world of dinosaurs. The staff at the park were local and not necessarily professional, but they provided an excellent experience through their interactions. They were knowledgeable and enthusiastic, making the visit even more enjoyable.
I purchased three tickets, including VR (Virtual Reality) and 5D experiences, along with the regular admission ticket. The total cost came to around Rs. 170 per person, which was reasonable considering the value provided. The museum showcased how dinosaurs existed millions of years ago, and it was incredibly informative. I highly recommend experiencing the VR and 5D attractions if you visit the site. They added an extra layer of immersion and excitement to the overall visit.
In conclusion, my experience at Balasinor Dinosaur Park was great. Despite the initial setback with transportation, the park itself offers a fantastic experience for dinosaur enthusiasts and anyone interested in learning about the prehistoric era. The museum is informative, and the addition of VR and 5D attractions makes it a must-visit place. Don't miss out on this incredible destination!

Amazing place. Must visit to experience the presence of dinosaurs. All the galleries are filled with precious knowledge and visual reality experience . 5D theater is the most amazing .
What i want to request is to keep the place clean .i found spitting of mava on the fossils and models kept for exhibition. Specially in gallery no. 8. Such a shameful and uneducated act by people . Also the 5D tickets are asked to buy inside the museum where that person charged us the same amt as decided but does not give the ticket or receipt. Authority should look into this matter.

The Sabarmati Ashram is a spiritual place where Mahatma Gandhi lived and worked during the early days of Indian independence. It is located on the banks of the Sabarmati River, between a jail and a cemetery, and it preserves Gandhis living quarters as well as a museum that presents an informative record of his life.
One of the Must Visit Place in Ahmedabad to explore values and life of Mahatma Gandhi.
"Being a Gujarati, I thought I should be able to render the greatest services to the country through the Gujarati language. And then as Ahmedabad was an ancient centre of hand loom weaving, it was likely to be most favourable field for the revival of the cottage industry of hand spinning. There was also a hope that, the city being capital of Gujarat, monetary help from its wealthy citizens would be more available than any other place".
This was an explanation given by Gandhiji for choosing Ahmedabad as is hub of activities.
Gandhiji selected a place on the bank of the river Sabarmati very close to the Saint Dadheechi’s temple as well as from Jail and a crematorium. Gandhi used to remark, "This is the right place for our activities to carry on the search for Truth and develop Fearlessness for on one side are the iron bolts of the foreigners and on the other, thunderbolts of mother nature." After building a few essential structures, activities of the Ashram commenced in 1917.
Gandhiji had driven all the major activities of independence as well as upliftment of the society from this Ashram which was popularly known as Sabarmati Ashram. He stayed in the ashram for many years before he finally proceeded for a march to Dandi to break the salt law on 12 March 1930. Before starting the march to Dandi, Gandhiji declared that he will not return to the ashram before the independence of the country.
The Gandhi Smarak Sangrahalaya is run by a public trust established in 1951. The museum’s new premises were built in 1963. The museum’s main objective is to house the personal memorabilia of Mahatma Gandhi. Consequently the exhibits on view depict the vivid and historic events of Gandhiji’s life. There are books, manuscripts and photocopies of his correspondence, photographs of Gandhiji with his wife Kasturba and other ashram associates, life size oil paintings and actual relics like his writing desk and spinning wheel.

Me and my friends visited the ashram for our project and we were amazed to find so detailed information. I especially liked the timelines, they just take you back in time. Anyone who wants to know about our proud history and Gandhi's amazing and simple life should visit the ashram. The river gives a nice and calming view as well.

My visit to Gandhi Ashram on Sunday was an enriching experience that left a lasting impression on me. As I stepped into the serene surroundings of the ashram, I was immediately struck by the sense of peace and tranquility that enveloped the place.
The ashram, located on the banks of the Sabarmati River in Ahmedabad, is a testament to Mahatma Gandhi's philosophy of truth and non-violence. Walking through the various exhibits and displays, I gained insight into Gandhi's life, his principles, and his role in India's struggle for independence.
One of the highlights of my visit was exploring the quaint museum housed within the ashram, which showcases Gandhi's personal belongings, letters, and photographs. It felt like stepping back in time and getting a glimpse into the life of one of the most influential figures in modern history.
I also took a leisurely stroll along the peaceful riverfront, where Gandhi and his followers used to engage in prayer and meditation. The simplicity and serenity of the surroundings were truly refreshing, providing a much-needed break from the hustle and bustle of city life.
Overall, my visit to Gandhi Ashram was a memorable one, filled with reflection and introspection. It served as a reminder of the enduring relevance of Gandhi's teachings in today's world and left me inspired to strive for truth, peace, and justice in my own life.
If you're ever in Ahmedabad, I highly recommend taking the time to visit Gandhi Ashram. It's not just a historical landmark, but a place of profound spiritual significance that has the power to touch hearts and minds.

You can reach there 9-10AM also as the weather will be the same there in monsoon all the day.
There will be food like maggie, Corn and wafers. There are 3-4 restaurants also in highways (Ahmedabad to Zanzari) so you can eat after visiting waterfall.
You can swim there as water was clean enough.

Average place to spent time in weekends. Two to three stalls to buy limited items like Normal Maggie, tea and coffee available. Camel ride is available from parking to near waterfall. Too dark at after 6pm as there are no lights on roads till highway. In rainy season path may get difficult to travel. Best time to visit is after couple months of rainy season. There were only few people. There was a parking space where a stall uncle told us to keep vehicle but we did not park as no cars were parked at that place. But we went back and found an alternate route where others were present too.

The Adalaj Vav.
In Gujrati and Marwar regions a vav means a stepwell. In the northern Hindi-speaking regions, a stepwell is called a bowadi.
In the arid regions of Gujrat, Rajasthan and Marwar where the water table is low, wells have to be dug to a considerable depth. Hauling water by buckets tied to a rope was back-breaking labour for the ladies and gents alike. Therefore many communities collectively constructed vavs or step wells where one could descend right up to the water level for bathing, washing and filling up drinking water to be carried to their homes. In many cases, wealthy families with a philanthropic bend of mind constructed vavs for the public good. They were built in stone with pillars and walls etc carved with amazingly beautiful designs, motifs and statues of Gods and Goddesses. More often than not such vavs were made up of various stories with large floor spaces, rooms etc at every storey. Such vavs became a focal point for community gatherings, celebrations and religious functions. These vavs were architectural wonders and in due course became well known for their beauty.
Adalaj vav is one such vav and so generally referred to because it is located in the village of Adalaj. The real name of the vav, as per the inscription found engraved on a stone in the vav is ‘Rani Dudabai’ Vav. As per history/legend, Raja Veer Singh of the Vaghela dynasty started its construction in 1555. His kingdom was attacked by Mohammed Begda a Muslim ruler of the neighbouring state. In the battle, Raja Veer Singh was killed. The vav could not be completed. It is said that Queen Ruda bai, wife of Raja Veer Singh was very beautiful. Mohammed Begda fell in love with the queen and wanted to marry her. As per the legend, the queen agreed on the condition that Mohammed Begda completes the construction of Vav. He readily agreed and completed the construction in a quick time. It is said that Once the unfinished project of her husband was completed, rather than marry the Muslim ruler the queen reneged on her promise and committed suicide by jumping into the well.
Queen Ruda Bai Vav is a five-storey octagonal construction with the well itself is circular in shape. The beginning of the stairs is flanked by two “Chabutaras” or raised platforms. The faces of these chabutaras are made up of intricately and beautiful geometrical engravings of trees and plants etc.
Octagonal sides of each floor had engraved latticed stone screens as safety railings. Hundreds of pillars, niches on the floors etc all are beautifully engraved and look very beautiful.
One can spend hours admiring the beauty of the engravings/carvings and still come away wondering whether he has seen all that was to be seen.
We took lots of pictures, spent maybe an hour and a half and bid good buy to Adalaj/Queen Ruda Bai Vav.

One of good places to visit around Ahmedabad. Recommend to visit in early evening. There is ticket Rs 25 for Indians and Rs. 300 for foreign nationals. Earlier there was no entry charges and so not well maintained... however now well maintained.
Tickets also can be booking using digital platform we could not as the website was not responsive. So had to pay cash at the counter.

Wonderful place!
The place used to be marvelous, but it has been spoiled by the public to the extent that you can detect the strong odor of ammonia from afar. It is essential for the authorities to implement stringent regulations in order to safeguard the ancient architecture.

This is such a unique historical place to visit. This stepwell is in great condition, renovated and well maintained. If you come by car, then parking is available. The entrance fee is just nominal price. From the road this stepwell is not visible but when you actually approach it you understand the grand level of this 500+ years old five storied deep historical place. Behind the construction of this stepwell is a really sad story that you should read before visiting.

This is an amusement park not only for kids but also adults. The boating and the train rides are special attractions for the kids. The floral plants when blossom makes the park more beautiful. The amusement park also provides greenery to the city. The park is huge enough and provides enough space for the kids to enjoy. The park being in the center of the city and with enough transport facilities provided makes the park spot is frequently visited by kids with their families by kids, parents and lot of tourists. The garden is well maintained by the dedicated maintenance staff and gardeners. This is the real center of attraction of the city.

Nice Place outside the city for weekend getaways... This place has well maintained greenery with so many trees. There are many adventurous activities inside the park. Replicas of various monuments from around the world are present. Overall a peaceful place. (Entry fee for the park was 150 per person which does not include the fees for various activities inside . The place has good parking spaces)

A nice place to visit with children. The park opens at 9 am. However, some of the activities like zip line ride opens around 10 am. The water park opens at 12.30 pm and remains open up to 5.00 pm. The adventure park offers variety of activities for children that too at reasonable prices. There are lots of food stalls and a good restaurant as well on the banks of river Sabarmati. Though toilet facilities are not up to the mark like cleanliness and water availability. There is ample space for car parking at a charge of Rs. 20. The entry fee is Rs. 150 while fees for the respective activities varies as per the activity. Overall nice place for weekends 😌.
Anil Beniwal — Google review
The Adventure park is good. Regarding Water Park, the water was very much polluted during my visit. Public spit gutkhas into the water and there is no security checks for disallowed things being carried into the pool area. Moreover, all the clean water showers (i.e. shower that we take after done with water park) were out of service. No supervision, no person-in-charge, no responsible person around to manage this. Avoid water park on holidays like Sundays. Water park becomes too crowdy and there is no limit on number of people entering the pool. I personally do not recommend the water park. There are many better options

"Awesome We had the best time at the adventure park! There were so many cool things to do, like zip lining and paddle boating. We tried everything, and it was all so much fun!
Even though the water park was closed, we still had a blast with the bull ride, archery, and dancing car. And guess what? It's super cheap to get in, so everyone can afford to go.
Plus, we could bring our own food, which saved us even more money. Overall, it was a great day spent with family and friends. Can't wait to go back for more adventures!

Nice atmosphere for fun lovers. Thrilling jungle safari. You can carry a bus full of friends with your own cooks. They provide a place as kitchen to cook. Very large campus but you must be prepared to walk up and down slopes.
Wash rooms are less in numbers and are not clean.
They also provide wheelchair for needy persons.

It is a good place for a one day picnic, Children enjoy a lot, inside the food counter but it's costly, The entry fee is 150 per person it's ok but after inside there are lots of rides and those are costly too compared to others. Mostly disturbing things are toilets, if an adventure park could take 150 fees per person then they should clean the toilet properly. And no proper cleaning in all parts.

Good place to visit. Map at entrance does not have specific route to see various places inside hence you may be reaching the same place again and again. Better to visit as picnic spot. Similar to the popular Sun Temple in Konark but predating it by two centuries, it was designed so that the equinox dawn sun would shine on Surya's image.

On special occasions you can also see the light and laser show hosted here.
There is a museum too, which probably has the artifacts from the temple itself.

There is ample parking for visitors and shops offering light meals and snacks. Authorities have done a good job to maintain the place. Also i have heard that there is a laser show conducted during evening hours. Not sure about it as i didn't stay long enough to witness it.

The two big temples with intricate carvings are empty, there are no dieties in them. The small temple is Lord Shiv's temple.
The whole compound is clean and quiet. The washroom however was not much clean.

Must visit this place once in a lifetime. Very great architecture and very large area to explore. There is also car charging facilities for EV cars. Plenty of parking spaces available. As of my opinion you should visit after 5PM so that you can enjoy the light & laser show running over there after 6:30PM(depending on sunset). Light and laser show should not be missed.

The Modhera Sun Temple is a hidden gem, encapsulating the essence of ancient Indian art and spirituality. The temple's breathtaking architecture, with its intricately carved pillars and celestial design, transports visitors to a bygone era. The precision of craftsmanship is awe-inspiring, and the serene surroundings add to the overall sense of tranquility. As you stand in the presence of this marvel, you can feel the spiritual energy and historical significance that radiates from every corner. A visit to the Modhera Sun Temple is a cultural and architectural pilgrimage, offering a profound connection to India's rich heritage.

If you enjoy step wells, Modhera Sun Temple, really needs to be on your list. The intricacy of carving in the interior of the temple puts it in the same league as a Jain temple. It also has a solar alignment and architectural alignment that frame a point across the well that previously held a monument.
The well itself, originally fed by a spring, is now home to some particularly unattractive turtles.

Really beautiful temple with a beautiful compound. Did not like the stagnant water in the stepwell right in front of the temple- takes the charm away. Needs to be cleaned and replaced. There is a museum also in the campus that displays relics- however there is no information whatsoever about the same. I couldn’t find any guides either. There are restaurants and food stalls nearby. The temple is not accessible on a wheelchair. There is adequate parking.

This resort is about 17 km from Mehsana towards Unjha side. It's a huge water park with all the possible aquatic games and rides. It's maintained well. However I feel that the water needs to be cleaned and processed better. Due to heavy rush of people, water could get dirty and it might lead to disease. Also showers need to be cleaned properly. Overall it's a nice place for a family outing and fun !!

My friends and I had an incredible experience at Bliss Water Park. It's a place where you can spend an entire day enjoying a wide range of thrilling rides and attractions. The park offers separate sections with rides suitable for kids, ensuring everyone has a great time.
One of the conveniences offered by Bliss Water Park is a luggage room (Extra charges) where you can safely store your belongings if you have any. This allows you to enjoy the rides without the worry of carrying around your luggage.
In terms of pricing, the weekday ticket cost ranges from 800 rupees per person, which is reasonable for the fun-filled experience you get. On Sundays, the ticket cost is slightly higher at 1000 rupees, but it's still worth it considering the exciting rides and entertainment available.
Bliss Water Park is a perfect destination for a thrilling day out with friends and family. With its diverse range of rides, dedicated sections for kids, and convenient facilities like the luggage room, it offers a memorable and enjoyable experience for visitors of all ages.

Great fun and amazing place. A couple of rides were closed amidst fear of covid however overall an enjoyable place.
Some of the rides give you thrills. Mobiles are allowed if you want to but my suggestion, keep it in the locker and have fun. Though there are only a couple of photos that I have posted of inside the water resort, it's totally worth it.
There is a tea post outside to have some great sandwiches/french fries, tea/coffee as well.
Do mention how you liked it. Haffun.

Mehsana - Unjha Highway Road, Motidau, Gujarat 384120, India
Patan Patola Heritage is a museum run by the Salvi family, known for their expertise in double-ikat weaving since the 11th century. Visitors can witness the intricate process of Patola silk weaving and compare it with single-ikat textiles from around the world. The museum showcases a masterpiece elephant-motif sari and provides insights into the history of this craft and the family's journey from Maharashtra to Gujarat.
Patolas are very expensive woven silk saris worn only by rich people (the price starts with Rs 150,000/-). The common people can’t afford these saris. The secret of patola weaving is closely guarded and only three families of Salvi caste know the art.
This art of patola weaving is 850 years old and is dying and only handful of family members know the techniques. It takes 6 months to make one patola and owning a patola is considered a social status.
Usually, the dyeing of the fabric is done after the weaving but for Patola, the threads are dyed first as per the design and then the fabric is woven. In this museum, the Salvi family exhibits how the Patola silk is made in action on real hand loom.
This Salvi family is involved in Patola making since 35 generations. They have been awarded many awards from the government for keeping this art alive. This family is specialized on double-ikat weaving.
In the Patola house, many fabrics from different parts of the world are displayed which are single-ikat weaving. We can clearly see the difference in quality of the Patola weaved by this family as compared to the other patolas weaved by other countries.

Patan Patola Heritage stands as a testament to over 1000 years of Indian weaving tradition, showcasing the timeless beauty of Patola sarees. These heirloom pieces are not just garments but treasures of intricate craftsmanship and historical significance. The art of creating these sarees involves a meticulous handwoven and hand-dyed process using the double ikat technique, a skill passed down through generations of artisans in Patan, Gujarat. Each Patola saree at Patan Patola Heritage is a masterpiece of design and color, featuring traditional motifs and patterns that have endured through centuries. The use of natural dyes is a hallmark of these sarees, not only contributing to their vibrant hues but also ensuring their longevity. Remarkably, when properly cared for, the colors of a Patola saree can remain vibrant for 200 to 300 years, making them a true legacy to be passed down through generations. The collection at Patan Patola Heritage is a celebration of this ancient art form. Owning one of these sarees means embracing a piece of Indian heritage, a connection to a rich past and a commitment to preserving traditional arts. For those who appreciate the fine intricacies of handwoven textiles, a Patan Patola saree is not just an item of clothing but a piece of living history, embodying the spirit of Indian craftsmanship at its finest.

There are only 3 families left to work on Patolas out of 700 families earlier. It's such a minute work and takes months to get finished. Needs an expert eye and very precise and patience to work on it. Had visited Nirmal Salvi's work place and his artist worker Raj showed and explained us the whole process. It's price is really very high but if you see their labour for such an artistic work, it is worth it. A must visit to know about it

Very nice to go over the whole process of how patola sarees are prepared .They have few guides who are available as part of your ticket they explain patiently the whole process. It is also nice to see how the family still maintains their traditional process. Its also surprising to see how many other countries though having similar cloth making processes are not able to produce the quality of Patola sarees. We also saw mulmul cloth with a coin placed below the cloth it looked as if it is above it.The whole mulmul saree can be passed smoothly inside a ring

This is a place of family heritage with fine artists making the traditional Patola sarees. It's a privately owned place hence photography is not permitted. It was mind blowing to understand how much calculation and efforts are required to make one authentic Patola silk saree. No wonder it takes 5-6 months for 4-5 artists to make one saree. Their sarees are worn by many politicians and film artists. On the first floor one can see the fine artworks with paper cuttings. There are a few masterpieces which can not be re-created again. A must visit place near Rani Ki Wav in Patan.

Disgusting place run by a bunch of arrogant disrespectful staff. The owner is least bothered about the customer experience. There are hundreds of authentic patola weavers in Patan. The claim made by this place is fake and outright misleading. Recommend exploring other weavers.

The threads, both Tana and Bana, intertwine with precision, creating an exquisite mosaic of shapes and forms. Each stitch, each knot, contributed to the creation of a masterpiece, leaving me in awe of the craftsmanship of the artisans of the 11th century. However, amidst the awe-inspiring beauty, one rule stands firm: no photography allowed.
In the realm of textile history, a curious debate ensues, echoing through the corridors of Rani Ki Vav and the Patan Patola Heritage. Guides at each site passionately uphold conflicting narratives, each claiming precedence for the illustrious Patola pattern.
At Rani Ki Vav, amidst the mesmerizing stepwell, enthusiasts are told tales of how the intricate Patola prints were first immortalized within its walls. Yet, just a stone's throw away at Patan Patola Heritage, a different story unfolds, weaving a narrative of ancient origins and cultural heritage, asserting that the Patola prints predate the very stones of Rani Ki Vav.
As visitors ponder this enigma, they find themselves caught in a web of uncertainty, unable to discern truth from legend. Perhaps the beauty of the Patola pattern lies not in its origin, but in the mystique that surrounds it, inviting admirers to marvel at its intricate design and rich history, regardless of its elusive beginnings.

Jain pilgrimage site set in rocky hills, with several ornately carved temples from the 12th century.
A calm, serene temple, in the lap of nature, surrounded by beautiful hills, a truly mesmerising view. Ajitnath prabhu's statue(Pratimaji) is magnificent; the intricate carvings & architecture of the temple structure very well exemplify the grandeur and perfectionism of medieval Bharat. Visit to the temple is truly a wonderful experience. Adding to the serenity is almost absent mobile networks, ensuring that you fulfil the very purpose of your visit, away from worldly duties & desires, a divine experience indeed. The three hills(Kotishila, Siddhashila & Moksha bari) give you a mini-adventurous experience. Road till the Tirth is well-built, thanks to the management for providing good Dharamshala & bhojanshala facilities to the Yatris. Overall an amazing experience, you feel like visiting the temple again.

So I visited this hotel on one fine weekend with my office colleagues. We were around 25 people and we pre booked the hotel. We reached there on Saturday morning and all of us had the same first reaction. The hotel was horrible, the rooms were extremely small, it was a deluxe family room for 3 people but it could hardly fit 2 people comfortably. The washroom didn’t had a proper flush, the taps were broken, washrooms were smelling really bad. We had 4-5 female colleagues and they were so uncomfortable just because of the pathetic washroom. In some rooms the flush wasn’t working and in some the AC wasn’t working. When we raised a complaint they provided such pathetic solutions to our complaints.
The blankets were smelling like hell, in couple of rooms a bad odour was coming from the air conditioner.
The trip which was supposed to be refreshing and enjoying turned out to be the worst trip of our life just because of this third class hotel and their staff.
Just stay miles away from this property even if they offer you the room for free.
Nilesh Desai — Google review
My stay at Hotel Sunset Inn was an absolute nightmare. Where do I even begin? Let's start with the bathroom, which had water leaking from every imaginable crack. It felt like showering in a monsoon! The bathroom accessories were straight out of a horror movie - broken tiles, rusty taps, and a toilet that looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months.
As for hygiene, it was non-existent. The blankets and bedsheets were so filthy, I wouldn't let my worst enemy touch them. I'm pretty sure I saw more stains than actual fabric. And don't even get me started on the mysterious odors lurking in every corner of the room. It was like a cesspool of germs and neglect. Hotel doesn't even deserve 1 start rating.

This is a beautiful man-made lake as the locals claim it to be. Has wonderful views, selfie point, a boutique temple on the edge of the lake, market is situated right next to it where you can shop and get a bit to eat, there is a boat ride that one can take. Highly recommend to take a boat ride with a private driver as the locals know all the history behind the attractions situated on the lake.

The lake is in length of about a half mile and in width about of a quarter of mile and 20 to 30 ft. deep towards the dam on the west. It is an important tourist attraction of Mount Abu. There is the Toad Rock on a hill near the lake. Toad rock is so called as it looks like a toad about to jump into the lake, from the side of the rock facing the lake. There are two ways to go up and down the rock; to climb the rocky hill side or to use the steps leading down to Nakki Lake. By the side of the lake there is a path leading to Sunset Point. It is forbidden to climb to Sunset Point due to wild animals such as bears and leopards roaming around the path to Sunset Point. Raghunath Temple and Maharaja Jaipur Palace are also on hills near the Lake. Boating in the lake and horse rides around the lake are available.
Mahatma Gandhi's ashes were immersed in this holy lake on 12 February 1948 and Gandhi Ghat was constructed.

1.The beautiful and attractive lake located in the center of Mount Abu Hill Station is surrounded by lush greenery, mountains and strangely shaped rocks.
2.There are many old stories associated with this lake. According to them, this lake was created by the gods using nakhas or nails. That is why it is famous by the name of Nakki Lake.
3.On 12 February 1948, the ashes of Mahatma Gandhi were immersed and Gandhi Ghat was constructed nearby.
4.Best time to visit Nakki Lake Mount Abu – You can visit Nakki Lake throughout the year. But the best time to see it is during monsoon and winter season. The temperature here is 30 degrees Celsius in monsoon and 12 degrees in winter. The lush greenery here makes the beauty of the lake more beautiful during monsoon. Summers are hot in Mount Abu. Because of that, it would be better if you avoid visiting between March-June and you should visit the lake from July to January.

Mount Abu is one of the few places in Rajasthan which is absolutely neat and clean and gorgeous despite being a crowded place. Its circumference is around 3 km, so take some time in hand and give it a complete visit. Do not miss the sunset point too, but be cautious: it has a good height and the path is not smooth always. Not difficult for most people though.

Situated in Mount Abu, Rajasthan amidst the lush green Aravalli hills, these temples showcase Maru-Gurjara architectural style and embody the values of Jainism such as non-violence, honesty, non-absolutism, frugality and non-possessiveness.

The Dilwara Temples are a group of Śvētāmbara Jain temples about 3 kilometres from the Mount Abu in Sirohi District, Rajasthan. The earliest temples were built by Bhima-1 They are famous for very pure white marble and intricate marble carvings. Temples are managed by Seth Shri Kalyanji Anandji Pedhi, Sirohi. The main buildings of first three are surrounded by "cloister" screens of devakulikā shrines, and are fairly plain on the outer walls. The ornamental detail spreading over the minutely carved ceilings, doorways, pillars, and panels is remarkable. The five temples are:
1. Vimal Vasahi, dedicated to the 1st Jain Tirthankara, Shri Adinatha.
2. Luna Vasahi, dedicated to the 22nd Jain Tirthankara, Shri Shri Neminatha.
3. Pittalhar temple, dedicated to the 1st Jain Tirthankar, Shri Adinatha.
4. Parshvanath temple, dedicated to the 23rd Jain Tirthankara, Shri Parshvanatha.
5. Mahavir Swami temple, dedicated to the 24th Jain Tirthankara, Shri Mahavir Swami.

Dilwara Jain temples are one of the finest pieces of Architecture in the Indian History. The temples located just a km away from the city center are also a major tourist attraction in Mt. Abu. The Jain temples are famous for its carvings. There are close to 7 different temples within the complex and each of them seem to compete with each other on the architecture front. The top of the temples looks rustic and untidy, specially designed to prevent it from being looted and destroyed. The temples have a great piece of history and you surely need a few hours to enjoy it fully. It is open only to Jains in the morning and tourists can visit here post 11 pm once the daily rituals get over, open till 5 pm.

The architecture, the detailing on the walls, pillars, was like out of this world, it was so amazing, I couldn't believe it. So much minute , beautiful details, showing sheer hard work of the workers around 1000 years ago. I highly respect that. And that too, it's maintained in well form even today.
At first, before visiting this place, I thought of it as just another Jain temple, like we have in Ranakpur (that's also very good) but this one was mind blowing. I was in awe! ❤️
Really great ✨

The Delwara Jain Temple, situated in the heart of Mount Abu, is an architectural masterpiece and a testament to the rich cultural heritage of India. Renowned for its intricate marble carvings and spiritual significance, this temple complex is a must-visit for history enthusiasts and devotees alike.
Upon entering the temple premises, one is immediately struck by the exquisite craftsmanship of the marble sculptures adorning every inch of the structure. The intricate detailing, delicate filigree work, and artistic precision showcase the brilliance of the artisans who crafted this marvel. The temples are dedicated to various Jain Tirthankaras, and each shrine is a visual treat, with its unique design and storytelling through sculpted scenes.

Dilwara Jain Temples is one of the finest Jain temple known world over for its extraordinary architecture and marvelous marble stone carvings, some experts also consider it architecturally superior to the Taj Mahal. It seems fairly basic temple from outside but every cloud has a silver lining, the temple interior showcases the extraordinary work of human craftsmanship at its best. These temples were built between 11th to 13th century AD, The beautiful lush green hills surrounding the temple gives a very pleasant feeling. The ornamental details of marble stone carvings is phenomenal and unmatched, The minutely carved ceilings and the pillars are just amazing. All this was done at a time when no transport or roads were available at a height of 1200+ Mtrs in Mount Abu, Huge blocks of marble stones were transported on elephant backs from the Arasoori Hills at Ambaji to this remote hilly region of Mount Abu. Dilwara temples is also a popular Jain pilgrimage attraction.
Dilwara Temple complex consist of five major sections or temples devoted to five jain trithankaras(saints):
Shri Mahaveer Swami Temple - This temple was constructed in 1582 and is devoted to Lord Mahaveer the 24th Tirthankara of Jain's, this temple is relatively small the temple's upper walls have pictures of the porch painted by craftsmen of sirohi in year 1764.
Shri AdiNath Temple or Vimal Vasahi Temple - This temple is build by Vimal Shah, Minister of Solanika ruler of Gujarat in 1031 A.D., this temple is the oldest of all and dedicated to Shri Adinath Ji - The first jain trithankar, the temple has an open courtyard surrounded by corridors all beautifully decorated with marble carved stones. Cells inside this temple are contain tiny images of Jain saints artistically carved on marble stone minutely. The internal dome is aesthetically decorated with design's of flowers and petals, the huge hall of the temple pillars decorated with the carving work of female figures playing musical instruments. The temple also have the "Guda Mandapa" - A simple hall decorated with the images of Shri Adi Nath.
Shri ParshavNath Temple or Khartar Vasahi Temple - This temple was built by Mandika clan between 1458-59 A.D., this temple has the tallest shrine along with four big Mandapa's amongst all dilwara temples. The carving on the pillars of this temple is yet another example of these jain temples architectural superiority.
Shri Rishabdaoji Temple or Peethalhar Temple - This temple is known as Pittalhari/Peethalhar temple because in this temple most of the statues are built using ‘Pittal’ (Brass Metal). This temple was built by Bhima Shah, a minister from Gujarat dynasty, like other temples of Dilwara this temple is also having Gudu Mandapa and Navchowki.
Shri NemiNathJi Temple or Luna Vasahi Temple - This temple was built in 1230 A.D. by two brothers known as Tejpal and Vastupal, they dedicated this temple to the 22nd saint of Jainism - Shri Nemi Nathji. This temple has one hall named Rag Mandapa which has three hundred and sixty (360) tiny idols of Jain trithankar all minutely crafted on marble proving once again why these jain marble temples of Dilwara are superior to Taj Mahal, Among all these white marble idols the idol of Shri Neminath Ji is made up of black marble. The pillars of this temple were built by Maharana Kumbha of Mewar.
The Dilwara Jain Temples are open from 12 P.M. to 5 P.M. for tourist's for free.

Santosh Kumar — Google review
The five Dilwara temples are among the most famous Jain temples. The Vimal Vasahi is much the earliest, constructed by 1031, with the Luna Vasahi by 1230, and the others at intervals between 1459 and 1582. All are in white marble which adds greatly to their effect and remains in use. The oldest and largest two have large amounts of intricate carving even by the standards of the style, reaching a peak in the Luna Vasahi temple. The main buildings of the first three named are surrounded by "cloister" screens of devakulikā shrines, and are fairly plain on the outer walls of these; in the case of the Vimal Vasahi this screen was a later addition, around the time of the second temple. These three have an axis from the sanctuary through a closed, then an open mandapa to an open rangamandapa, or larger hall for dance or drama.[6] Surrounding the main temple with a curtain of shrines was to become a distinctive feature of the Jain temples of West India, still employed in some modern temples.[7]
In later temples in the Māru-Gurjara style, a very pure white marble like that at Dilwara came to be regarded as highly desirable, even essential. In modern times, when the style has become popular in other regions of India, and with Hindu and Jain communities in other countries, local Rajastani marble is often carved and transported to the new building.
The temples have an opulent entranceway, the simplicity in architecture reflecting Jain values like honesty and frugality.[8] The ornamental detail spreading over the minutely carved ceilings, doorways, pillars, and panels is considered to be remarkable.[9] It is said that workmen were paid in gold according to the weight of marble powder scraped off.[10]

The highest peak of the Aravali ranges, gurushikhar is a prominent tourist attraction in Mount Abu, Rajastan. Located approx 15 km from the main town, the peak is easily accessible via car & bike. You can also get a shared taxi from the town to reach here. The vehicles take you to the parking lot from where you need to climb approx 400 steps to reach the top. There are a couple of temples on the way. The best part of the climb is the awsome view of the Aravali ranges that you get from the top. You also get to see an Observatory and few Air force Radars from the top. The place surely has that zing. Do not forget to listen to Pakistan Radio while you are at the top. Being close to radar and also being the highest point, you can easy catch signals across the border.
Tip - Try to reach the place early morning r late evening. You can plan either for sun rise or sun set view from here.

One of the best experiences of mount Abu. Lemme explain. Spotted around 15KM from mount Abu Nakki Lake. There is a temple on the peak. But the journey from nakki lake to that peak.
So many attraction points are there in between. Going there with a vehicle is just another level of experience in itself. It's clearly not about the destination, it's about the journey and destination. At peak, there's just a temple and mesmerising mountain view nothing else. It will be worth it when you enjoy the journey also, the adventures in between. We took almost half a day to reach there because we stopped at so many points.
Just advice not to go there by car as there is always so much traffic at peak with the car. Biking will be much better and literally enjoyable. I went there at monsoon by bike and i was feeling like riding among clouds fr.
Give a day to Guru shikhar. It will easily consume your entire day but will be worth it. Visit in Monsoon if you wanna feel the heaven vibes.
Attaching photos and videos for your reference.

The Ranakpur Jain Temple, located in Udaipur, is a 15th-century white-marble temple with grand columns, halls and cupolas adorned with intricate carvings of deities. The temple boasts stunning architecture and a rich history that makes it a must-visit destination for both tourists and the religiously-inclined. Visitors are allowed to take pictures inside the temple with a ticket purchase.
Spectacular Jain temple with best architecture and story behind it. Must visit place for both tourist as well as devotion side. Carvings inside temple are worth note. Pics inside are allowed with a ticket. A basic canteen and mess is inside for food but otherwise, you won't find much (water is from Earthen pots and no packaged water bottle available inside so you can imagine).

Amazing history & architecture!
Building in the 1500's
A very peaceful temple, a must visit. Do listen to your audio guide.
To click pics, you have to pay a fee of ₹150/- per person.
They also serve meals in their "bhojnalaya" at a very affordable fee of ₹60/- per person. They serve meals in batches, might have to wait for your turn.
They have accommodation facilities, but it is not from a tourism perspective.
Outside the temple, there are adventure tourism activities and safari services. I was told there is no wildlife around.

Artistic marvels seen in this structure of the Jain Temple
Mesmerize yourself in the beauty of this temple and views from here. The temple charges you a donation of Rs. 100 on entry and is maintained well for visitors.
The campus of the temple is big and has dedicated parking for the vehicles, from where you would have to walk about 200 m to the temple ramparts.
Points of Improvement:
1. Better maintenance of toilet, it was barely clean when we visited.
2. Should be made more accessible for people with disabilities. Lots of stairs to climb.

Chaumukha Jain Temple, 1444 A forest of marble pillars, each carved differently from the other.
History of Ranakpur Jain Temple
Ranakpurpur Jain Temple was built to order by a local businessman named Darna Shah. He wanted a beautiful temple built after he had a dream of a celestial vehicle. Many sculptors and artists submitted their designs to Shah but none of them matched the image he had dreamt of. One plan that matched his dream was by an architect named Deepak from Mundara. Deepak was able to make a design because he was impressed by the dedication of Shah to build this temple. Afterwards, Shah sought the land to build the temple from King Rana Kumbha. Not only did he give a big piece of land to build the temple on, but he also asked Deepak to build a town around it. The town built was named Ranakpur, after the king, and the same town is now known as Ranakpur. The construction of the temple began in the 14th century and went on till the 15th century.
There are a total of 5 temples in India that are considered the most sacred for Jain. One of them is Ranakpur Jain Temple. The others in the list are Dilwara Temple in Mount Abu, Rajasthan; Khajuraho Temples in Khajuraho, Madhya Pradesh; Palitana Temples in Shatrunjya Hills, Gujarat; and Gomateshwara Temple in Shravanabelagola, Karnataka.
When you’re visiting Rajasthan, Ranakpur temple is one of the places recommended to visit. It also goes by the name of Charturmukha Dharana Vihara and is dedicated to Tirthankara Rishabhanatha who was the first Tirthankara of Jainism, and he also founded the Ikshvaku dynasty.
The complex of Ranakpur ka Jain mandir includes 5 temples.
Chaturmukha/Chaumukha Temple
Built in the 15th century using white marble, it is the most popular temple in the complex and it honours Adinath, also known as Rishabanatha. It gets its name from its 4-faced design. This temple is spread across 48,000 square feet and is known for its intricacy and beautifully carved 1444 pillars, 426 columns, 89 domes, and 29 halls. Interestingly, one of the pillars is incomplete. There’s a legend about the temple that one pillar is bound to be incomplete. Whenever it has been completed, it has broken the next day itself. 1444 pillars that support the temple have been carved with exquisite detail that is nearly impossible to do even today.
One of the most attractive features of the temple, besides the pillars, is the beautifully carved idol of Parshvanatha. It has been made out of a single slab of marble. Its beauty in the detail is due to the 1008 snake carefully crafted around the idol. The same idol also has two chauri bears and yaksha and yakshi, who are half-human and half-snake. There are also two elephants carved, one on either side, that seem to be purifying Parshavanath. And you can’t find the end of the tails of these elephants.
The Ranakpur Jain Mandir also has 84 bhonyras. Bhonyras are underground chambers that were built in the earlier times during disturbance to prevent the attacks on Jain idols. It is said that the design of Ranakpur Jain Temple was used as an inspiration to design Dilwara Temple. While Dilwara Jain Temple is not for its sculptures, Ranakpur Jain Temple is known for its intricacies in the design.
Suparshvanatha Temple
Supershvanatha is the seventh Tirthankara and this temple is dedicated. The intricate designs are present even in this temple. It is also popular for the erotic arts on the wall.
Surya Temple
The construction of this sun temple dates back to the 13th century, full 2 centuries before the construction of Ranakpur Jain Temple. But it got desecrated during the time of disturbance due to repeated attacks and was later reconstructed with the remaining temple complex.
So when you are looking for places to visit in Rajasthan, Ranakpur Jain Temple must be on your list

This place has a rich history and it is located in the valley of Aravali mountain on the bank of a rainy river with very little water during the off season. There will be negligible mobile networks in this area. The drive to this place is very scenic via mountain range.

Kumbhalgarh Fort, a 15th-century hilltop fortress located 84 kilometers north of Udaipur, is a UNESCO-listed site and the birthplace of Mewar's legendary king, Maharana Pratap. Surrounded by a massive 36km-long perimeter wall, the fort was built by Rana Kumbha and is considered the second most important citadel in the Mewar region.
Place is magical.
The climb to the palace, especially the terrace was awesome, maybe a little challenging for elderly people. Windy, lovely view of the entire fort and surrounding mountains.
Walk on the massive 12km long grand walls is enjoyable. Bunch of beautiful Hindu and Jain temples within the fort.
The tickets can be booked online or paid in cash at the entry.

Nice place to experience. It has a long wall resembling Great Wall of China. Hence a smaller version of it worth visiting. There are a lot of temples in this fort, so we couldn’t cover some important ones. The view from the top of the fort is breathtaking. This fort involves quite a bit of walking.

Even before you plan to visit The Great Wall of China, visit the underrated Kumbhalgarh fort in Rajasthan. I visited Kumbhalgarh fort in January 23, much better to visit during winters till the summer arrives! It's quite hot and the ascend gets you sweaty. The terrain, vegetation, vistas and the architectural feat par excellence.
Rather than visiting an overrated city palace in Jaipur or Udaipur please make a visit here instead!

A great place to explore history of Rajasthan. Magnificent view from top with ancient architecture and walls. Surrounded by hills and gives a sense of serenity. You will be seeing great architecture of temples inside. Fort is very well preserved and still in a good condition to explore. Must visit if you go kumbhalgarh.

A very beautiful place to visit. the history of the place is just explained by the beauty and hugeness of the place. the carvings over the walls of the fort and temples. The fort explains the very good architecture and ventilation made the centuries before with the less rescores and less facilities. It is a great marvel questioning the possibility of making huge structure on the hilltop of the great mountain ranges of Aravalli mountains. One should must visit this place and to know about the place more one can take a guide so they can know the place with the full history of the place.

Although the Fort is under renovation, one can explore the temples in the premises, a walk on the floor along the parapet.
Trek to the topmost point of the Fort and the view from there is breathtaking. There is Bhairav Nathji temple inside the Fort main building. Better start early to enjoy the Trek and avoid the rush. The evening Light and sound show is a must and not to be missed.

A nice place to meet the history and chill with family and friends. There are small hotels for snacks, washroom is also available but it's not clean at all. Best time to visit during rainy season or winter season. Entry ticket is Rs.40 per person. The palace is also called great wall of India it stretches in 36km.

This fort is really AMAZING, you could spend easily 2 days if you like to do trekking.
We would have love to walk around the whole wall but it is 36km long and only had 3-4h at this place and did not know if all part of the wall were in good condition.
But apparently you can see some wild life, we mainly saw monkeys, birds and cows

You can buy ticket offline or online here. You need to talk a long walk inside this fort. Difficult for elderly people to walk around. Wear a cap as it gets hot. Beautiful view from the top. Well maintained. Beautiful and old temples inside the fort. Walls are very well constructed and picturesque and great architecture. Should appreciate the works in those days who constructed it with such good work. The walls go around 40 kms approximately. It lights up well at night. There are small shops and well maintained toilets. Good sitting place and good shelter under the trees.

Beautiful fort. Extremely huge and thick walls. Scanners for online payment for tickets were not working and they were not accepting notes of bigger denominations. Saw alot of people struggling to get tickets due to this.

A UNESCO site. Preserved with utmost care. You will find this place same as would have been in its age. Remarkable architecture. You will be stunned by the way this place has been built and preserved. Limited food options available inside the Fort. One will have to walk a lot to have a complete view. Truly majestic.

Amazing. Tough climb if you're 60 like me, but the views are incredible. Very interesting historically though. Very expensive for a foreigner at 600 rupees. I could have spent longer there but was on a schedule. There is a lot to see and do.

Visiting Kumbhalgarh Fort is an incredible experience!
The fort, located in Rajasthan, India, is known for its impressive architecture, extensive walls, and stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Exploring the intricate design, history, and panoramic vistas make for a memorable trip. Don't miss the chance to take a walk along the fort walls, which are among the longest in the world. And if you're interested in history, the light and sound show in the evening can provide an engaging overview of the fort's past.

Kumbhalgarh fort is known for the secord longest wall in the world after the wall of china.
If you are a history lover then this fort is highly recommended for you.
I suggest you get a guide while visiting this palace know better about it.
Cleanliness was very good. Views vere very good. Sunset view is the best.
I didn’t attended the light show so can’t say much about it.

It is definitely a historically rich fort and a must visit for those who want to learn more about Mewar as a princely state.
It has only limited information written at some key spots , so would recommend to hire a guide if you want to actually explore the fort and learn about its historical relevance.
Ideally keep 2-3 hours just to go around the fort and the walls because it’s huge. Wear comfortable clothing and sturdy shoes because it’s a steep climb to the top of the fort.

This place is just amazing. But I suggest not to take old age people or those who are unable to walk heights properly.
Ticket price according to June 2023 is ₹40 per person for Indian citizen. Food & water arrangement is there at the entry gate but I didn't found anywhere inside so must carry the necessary items too. Enjoy!

Very nice. Old fort. Great view of the locality from the top of the fort is very beautiful. Boundary walls of the fort are like great walls of China. Govt is developing the site. The road to the fort is not so good, it takes around 2 hrs to go to the fort from the national highway. Parking cost inr 40 and entry fee is inr 50.

, we had hired a guide and he explained us well about the place. Only issue here is there is no management of traffic by police...only 1 police was present being Diwali holidays there was huge rush. Local management need to work on same. Please book tickets online through ASI

Exploring the various temples, palaces, and step wells within the fort complex was fascinating, each offering a glimpse into the rich history and culture of Rajasthan.
The light and sound show in the evening added another layer of magic to the visit, bringing the history of Kumbhalgarh to life in a captivating way.
Overall, a must-visit destination for anyone interested in history, architecture, and the beauty of Rajasthan.
I would suggest to go in the morning as soon as it opens at 8am.

World class ! An amazing piece of history, coming to life. Well preserved and maintained for tourists, very cheap to get in...easy access to food and water nearby within the compound.
Roads leading to here are poor at March 2024 (such unacceptable negligence by tourism dept) but worth the drive and effort for sure. Need about 2-3 hours to walk around inside and explore fully. Longer if you want to go further into the temple ruins etc. Please go and enjoy - and savour our history!

Fort is beautiful. The architecture and design are unique. What makes it more unique is it's surrounded by mountains which gives eye soothing experience. Best time to visit is in the evening to watch the sunset and then the light show on the fort.
Remember fort Ticket counter closes at 5pm and fort closes at 6pm. Try to reach the fort before 5pm.

Must visit. I would suggest to go in the morning as soon as it opens at 8am. As the day progress crowd increases and u will have to park car away from the Fort. Hire a govt certified guide at the entrance of Fort, believe me its a must. Give more time to visit the Fort and all its part leisurely. We were really thrilled listening the stories of our Kings, their valor and wonderful monument they had constructed. There are hundreds of temple in and around the Fort, try to visit few.

Found this wonderful shop on Facebook and what a joyful experience it has been !! The humble tone and positive attitude of Mr Deendayal and his clarity of explaining the details of the product has been truly rewarding...On this day and age, and the manner we get defrauded in the marketplace, even with eyes wide opened...to find such genuine shop which is widely visited by so many celebrities from abroad , with the reviews highly appreciating their quality work and transparency, Their down to earth attitude and gentle demeanor ...we once again can believe in the bygone era of building trust and respect on the true artisans our India is blessed with... looking forward to purchasing many more and also personally visit the shop in near future.

Pukhraj Durry Udhyog is a captivating tourist attraction situated approximately 20km from Jodhpur. The owner provides an insightful description of the yarn and colour preparation process, and the hospitable atmosphere warmly welcomes guests even without prior appointments. The serene setting offers visitors a peaceful environment to spend an hour or more while also showcasing various designs crafted by other weavers in the village cooperative.
I visited Salawas Village as I had heard about the Durry cooperative, what I found was a hive of activity and a homestead of traditional mud and dung huts beautifully painted. These round thatched homes were both inviting and very comfortable and whilst you stayed there you were able to learn the skill of weaving on floor looms using a variety of materials ranging from camel wool, cottons, silks and hemp and how to cook traditional village food, I wish I had known about this earlier! The weavers make amazing rugs in a variety of sizes and as one would expect in Rajasthan using wonderful colours. Chai was made, the best if had tasted, whilst I looked at rugs. I knew I wanted one and was stuck for colour combinations and was really glad that I was able and privileged to purchase one. 49 families belong to this cooperative and each rug sold gives 75% to the families that make them, so definitely worthwhile in a state that has some of the poorest peoples in it. From there I was taken to a local potter who uses a two hundred kilo weight stone wheel propelled by a stick to make pots, all perfect and then onto a block printing family. If you are in the area please support this group of enterprising friendly people they really do deserve your support and bring back a rug, tiny oil lamp and block printed tablecloth!

Fascinating, Authentic Weaver and Village Home Stay.
Sadly we were not able to stay for a meal, but enjoyed the explanation and seeing the range of different designs from other weaver's in the village cooperative.
Robin Horder — Google review
This weaving village in the outskirts of Jodhpur is by no means any ordinary place. The weaving community here have been making hand-made carpets for generations, using their proprietary interlocking weaving style which is hard to find anywhere else. In today's world of consumeristic products and promotion-based selling culture, they still cling on hand woven products, and damn, they are good. You just need an eye to observe and appreciate their work. We visited their place in Dec 2022 to see their art but came back buying two rugs. There cannot be a price to real art, and the talent and effort these craftsmen put it surely dwarfs the price they quote. Do pay a visit if you are in Jodhpur, have a chat with them, share a cup of tea, peek into their lives and you will surely come back with fond memories (and products!).
