A Must Visit place in Delhi, feels like going back in time and watching history come to life. Do remember this is not a spot for a quick visit, you need a whole day to properly visit all the monuments inside.
A tip for photographers - while cameras are allowed, there are certain restrictions on camera bags and tripods.

Red Fort is a historic monument in Delhi that exudes grandeur and architectural splendor. The impressive red sandstone walls and intricate designs reflect the rich Mughal architecture. The fort's sprawling grounds and well-preserved structures offer a glimpse into India's rich history and royal heritage. The sound and light show held in the evenings bring the monument to life with captivating storytelling. However, the fort can get crowded, especially during holidays and weekends. Overall, Red Fort is a must-visit destination, providing a captivating experience and a deep appreciation for India's cultural and historical significance.
Nice place to visit with friends & family..I recommend to book tickets online because for offline tickets you need to stand in queue. If you want to explore all the places inside red fort then It will take 2-3 hours.

The rain-kissed walls and lush gardens added a romantic charm to the atmosphere. Exploring the intricate architecture and rich history of Red Fort felt like stepping back in time. The soothing sound of raindrops added to the serene ambiance, making it a perfect day to immerse oneself in the cultural heritage of our country. Whether you're seeking shelter from the rain or simply craving a historical adventure, Red Fort promises a memorable journey. Truly a gem of Delhi's heritage!

I absolutely loved the place! Spread over acres, the monument is a must visit. With the beautiful gardens and the grandeur of the halls, the pathways, the market inside...you need a whole day to entirely have a visit around. We even went to the architectural exhibition 'Biennele' which was like a cherry on top. With so many paintings, artifacts displayed around, you really feel proud of the country you are living in...!

This is a must visit to get a feel about history. The place is vast and has a decent exhibition which shows various exhibits, photographs and storyline about British occupation and their tyranny. The struggle for independence, particularly the 1857 struggle is nicely depicted
It would have been good if the authorities can provide audio guides in foreign langauges which can make it really interesting
The overall place could be maintained better with more signboards and explanations

It's a good place. It is better from outside rather than inside as per my opinion. The whole area is hugh and it took us 2-3 hours to cover the whole area. Better purchase the tickets online as it is cheaper and also no waiting in queues. Most of the archaeological sites I have visited in Delhi it is the most maintained maybe due to it's importance during the independence day speech. Connectivity with metro is incredible as it is within 50 metres from the Lal quila metro station. Will visit this place again but this time with better treking boots and better weather preferably winters.

Great place with rich in history & historical moments clearly visible on the old walls of the great red fort of Delhi. There are 2 museums as well to go and revisit our independence war, few ancient items etc. However, I personally felt that the place is not well maintained and after some time one tend to feel bored as it doesn't offer much things to see. Best part of being in red fort is the market around it (Chandni Chowk obviously). Just one suggestion to the caretakers of the red fort would be to maintain this legendary place and please update your online ticketing platform. All in all its a highly recommended place to visit from my side.

Great place to visit here with friends and family. Historical place, clean, well maintained. There are 2 museums that shows our independence war memories and few ancient items etc. There is a shopping street where you can purchase decorative items and ornaments too but the price is little bit high as compare to other markets. Ticket price is ₹80 per person with museum and ₹50 per person without meusum. Overall good experience.

I Spend almost 2 hour inside of it. It's a historical place which would create excitement inside of us. It's a wonderful place and the technology to build it is very unique. The most interesting thing is without machinery the Quila is built which still exists in its original condition. You can book tickets by scanning the QR code and the ticket will be sent to the given mobile number. One will get a discount on the ticket if you book tickets online. I suggest go for online tickets and save your money.

It's beyond stunning 🥰 In love with every corner... the rich architechtural design, the air, the vibrant colour....everything was exquisite. Do visit this place..you have to pay Rs. 50 for entry fee...and if you wanted to visit the inside museum, you will have to pay extra Rs. 30. There are many small shop inside the fort where you can buy lots of beautiful showpiece.

It's an exceptional place for satisfying your inner call to experience our old Mugal era culture, Indian history and freedom struggle.
Obviously the experience can't be narrated by the words, just go and experience it.......
Note: Avoid weekends because of heavy crowd. Don't forget to visit the museums. Have ample time to explore everything with the breaks and bring something to boost your energy because the campus is toooo big to explore fully.

Great monument to see in Delhi. First place you can go to see if you are in Delhi. Prefer going at evening for best atmosphere. Entry fee is there. Can book tickets outside by scanning qr code to avoid waiting. Bags are not allowed inside so you have to submit at the entry. Once you enter the Fort. Inside its beautiful to watch the small city and get lost into that era. Inside you can see some museums for which different tickets are there. It will take 2 hrs to explore all the red fort from inside. As it is one of the important monument it is always crowded

Lovely gardens, well-kept, massive restoration work has brought back the splendor; not suitable for people with disabilities as you have to walk a lot. Cafeteria facilities are also basic

Visited on last day of the year 2023.
There was large queue for buying tickets and entry .
At front entry there is a big gate with 2 Big canon , and it is a big attraction for children.
After moving forward you will find couple of shops selling items which is authorised by Gov. But I found them a little bit expansive.
After entering inside you will see some small buildings which are built there . It looks like a big park with some buildings .And most part of them is closed for public so which made it less interesting to watch . You can see them from outside only.
A interesting place that I found was the chair of king where they use to listen to their public.
Also there are museum there which mostly contains pictures showcase which I don’t find interesting and it also requires extra ticket . Other than that there are also option of video gallery where they show you shows and other things which also require 100 Rs for indian Tickets which i again didn’t find interesting.
Other than that you will not see any thing unique.
My suggestion-
A good place to visit with family and children to spent time also if someone is very historic can visit there.
Also Try to avoid taking bags if not required, they will ask to submit it which will taken a lot of time.
Also there is option to purchase tickets online so please use that option to avoid long queue.

'Akshardham' means the divine abode of God. It is hailed as an eternal place of devotion, purity and peace. Swaminarayan Akshardham at New Delhi is a Mandir – an abode of God, a Hindu house of worship, and a spiritual and cultural campus dedicated to devotion, learning and harmony. Timeless Hindu spiritual messages, vibrant devotional traditions and ancient architecture all are echoed in its art and architecture. The mandir is a humble tribute to Bhagwan Swaminarayan (1781- 1830), the avatars, devas and great sages of Hinduism. The traditionally-styled complex was inaugurated on 6 November 2005 with the blessings of HH Pramukh Swami Maharaj and through the devoted efforts of skilled artisans and volunteers.
Each element of Akshardham echoes with spirituality – the Mandir, the Exhibitions and even the Gardens.
The Akshardham mandir has over two hundred murtis, representing many of the spiritual stalwarts over many millennia. The spiritual premise of Akshardham is that each soul is potentially divine. Whether we are serving the family, the country our neighbors or all living beings the world over , each service can help one move towards divinity. Each prayer is a call towards improving oneself and moving closer to God.
A visit to Akshardham is a spiritually enriching experience. Whether it is in realising the power of prayer, in feeling the strength of non-violence, in being aware of the universal nature of Hinduism’s ancient principles, or just in admiring the beauty of God’s abode on Earth – each element has a spiritual significance.
Facts and Figure:
Opened 6th November 2005
Constructed by Bochasanwasi Shri Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS)
Inspired by HH Yogiji Maharaj (1892-1971 CE)
Created by His Holiness Pramukh Swami Maharaj
More than 300,000,000 volunteer hours went into making the complex
Over 8,000 volunteers from across the world participated in building it
Mandir built from intricately carved sandstone and marble
Exhibitions on Hinduism, including Bhagwan Swaminarayan's life and teachings such as prayer, compassion, and non-violence.
Open gardens, water bodies and step-well styled courtyard.

The temple was officially opened on 6 November 2005 by Pramukh Swami Maharajin the presence of Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, Manmohan Singh, L.K Advani and B.L Joshi. The temple, at the centre of the complex, was built according to the Vastu shastra and Pancharatra shastra.
In Akshardham Delhi, similar to its predecessor Akshardham Gandhinagar, Gujarat, the main shrine is the focal point and maintains the central position of the entire complex. There are various exhibition halls which provide information about the life and work of Swaminarayan. The designers of the complex have adopted contemporary modes of communication and technology to create the various exhibition halls.
The complex features an Abhisheka Mandap, Sahaj Anand water show, a thematic garden and three exhibitions namely Sahajanand Darshan (Hall of Values), Neelkanth Darshan (an IMAX film on the early life of Swaminarayan as the teenage yogi, Neelkanth), and Sanskruti Darshan (cultural boat ride). According to Swaminarayan Hinduism, the word Akshardham means the abode of almighty Lord Swaminarayan and believed by followers as a temporal home of God on earth.

Well this is the India's second largest temple, & asia's third largest temple around the world. Apart from this basic general knowledge, the good thing is entry is free but only for the "darshan" When it comes to shows, you have to pay for that, where the light/fountain show is most recommended if you are not opting for full package show ticket. Phone/Camera/Bags are not allowed inside temple, so make sure you keep in your car or either you can keep them in locker room which is also free to access.
Keep in mind, if you are going in rush hour then put our items/goods in your car/own space which will save your time in standing in queue.
Akshardham Temple or Swaminarayan Akshardham Complex is a prestigious fascination in Delhi and it gloats its profound and social exercises spreading over the city. The mind boggling invites you to comprehend and break down the conventional Hindu and Indian culture, deep sense of being and design. Being a standout amongst the most went by vacation spots in Delhi, the sanctuary has magnificence and dynamic quality, amazing by whatever else. The banks of the excellent Yamuna River in eastern Delhi offer space to the complex and the development was by the Vastu Shastra and Pancharatra Shastra.

An amazing beautiful peaceful temple.
Must visit place if you are in New Delhi.
Metro station also there and is just 100 meter apart.
Akshardham is really beautiful the main temple is really beautifully crafted. The outer architecture is beautiful and also the inner marbel architecture was more than beautiful. The roof of the main temple is just amazing. The best and the most beautiful part is the main temple where the colors are too good.
Note :- You can not take your phone 📱, camera 📷, so you have to stand in the queue to summit them in the cloak room. Secure cloak room 5/5.
After the cloak room there is a security check which will be done in a minute you just have to remove your wallet and belt and that's it they will check you and let you pass.
Strong security check.

The architecture is undoubtedly breathtaking and this place is worth a visit. However the staff is rude, timings of rides and events are not mentioned correctly on the website and not allowing purses or phones inside is incomprehensible. Why should we be asked to return or have to leave our valuables insecurely in cabs. Why not be transparant and allow cellphones. And what harm can purses and bags do...just use security measures. Even airports allow bags, so why shouldn't this place!!!

The Lotus Temple, also known as the Bahá’í House of Worship, is a religious site that opened in 1986 and welcomes people of all religions. This distinctive place of worship in South Delhi resembles India's national flower with its ethereal marble construction. The temple's nine overlapping walls enclose a single cavernous interior space, reflecting the Bahai Temples' practice of being open to all.
The Lotus Temple in Delhi is a remarkable architectural marvel and a symbol of unity and peace.
The temple is not only a visual delight but also a place of spiritual significance. It welcomes people from all backgrounds, religions, and beliefs to meditate, pray, or simply find solace in its serene environment. The central hall, devoid of religious icons or images, promotes a sense of unity and oneness among visitors.
Surrounded by lush green gardens and pools, the Lotus Temple provides a serene escape from the bustling city of Delhi. Its unique design, inclusive philosophy, and peaceful ambiance make it a must-visit attraction for both tourists and those seeking a moment of tranquility in the heart of the capital city. However, it's essential to be respectful of the temple's rules and maintain the silence and serenity that define this sacred space.

Very beautiful and peaceful place...... Garden around the temple is a treat for the eyes ❤️ . Although be watchful for the timings or you will have to wait in long queue.
1. Don't bring FOOD, you cannot take food inside.
2.Visit in morning hours, you will enjoy everything more comfortably as for evening times there is a lot of rush and heat.
3. Don't disobey instructions....as for my experience staff is very rude and their way of correcting you will not be very good.
4. Watch for kids...They may get lost in the crowd as i have seen with my own eyes
5.It is a temple of peace but their is a huge rush of visitors that you are rarely going to experience any ☮️ peace.

This is a beautiful place and I really love going there but infrequently ofcourse because massive crowd is there all the time. Though I really appreciate the work authorities have done to keep the place cleaned and hygienic but it would be nice to have a ticket to go in so that we can help the temple grow. Lets say maybe 10 rupees so that everyone can afford it. Our small contributions can make it grow better and help them who puts our efforts to keep this place best. That idea can help creating a proper queue so that people can come in line.
Its just an idea but ill leave them for them to decide.
Overall above good.

Beautiful place. The garden has been built on a very large lining. Before going inside the Lotus temple, a bag is given on which you have to keep your footwear and after coming out of the temple you have to return that bag, I liked this method very much. The purpose of making Lotus temple was that people of all religions should come here, sit and meditate peacefully and pray. There is a big prayer meet inside the temple where you can sit and meditate for as long as you want.

The temple encourages silence and reflection, making it a peaceful oasis in the bustling city of Delhi. It's a place where you can sit, meditate, or simply enjoy the stunning architecture.
The only minor downside is the crowd, as it's a popular tourist attraction. However, it's a testament to the temple's significance and beauty.
In summary, the Lotus Temple is a must-visit for anyone traveling to Delhi. It's a testament to the power of architecture, spirituality, and inclusivity, and it offers a truly peaceful and inspiring experience.

I expected serene and peaceful atmosphere but instead I got huuuuuge crowds, first queue to enter the grounds and second queue to enter the temple itself. Maybe because it was Sunday afternoon. There is only one path that's not restricted so crowds have nowhere to disperse and you can't just walk around the grounds. Inside of the temple is a nice and quiet but nothing special from architectural point of view. From the outside the design is very interesting though

The Lotus temple is a secular place of worship and contemplation. The entry is free for all which makes this a popular tourist spot. As a result the waiting time can get pretty long so plan accordingly. The grounds are beautiful and immaculately maintained.
You are required to remove your shoes before climbing the more than 50 steps to the temple entrance. The inside is a tranquil sanctuary with lots of chairs to sit and contemplate life.

An architectural gem.. the space is beautifully designed for the purpose of spiritual and social awakening of the visitors... Peaceful and relaxing environment... Everyday prayers will calm your soul... Baha'i faith is very beautifully explained in the Design itself...

The place is quite good, it's not a temple to worship but a place to relax your mind and meditate in a big hall and there is no need to buy tickets as entry is free.
Information centre helps us to understand more about the place and it's history.
The Lotus Temple has won numerous architectural awards and has been featured in many newspaper and magazine articles.
Overall visiting the temple is a good experience and also gives you peace but with a lot of people around you,it's get difficult.

The Lotus Temple in Delhi is a unique and captivating architectural wonder. Shaped like a blooming lotus flower, this Bahá'í House of Worship is renowned for its stunning design and serene ambiance.
The temple's white marble structure and pristine surroundings create a sense of peace and tranquility, making it a perfect place for meditation and reflection. Visitors of all faiths are welcome to enter and explore the temple, as it symbolizes unity and oneness of all religions.
The interior of the Lotus Temple is equally impressive, featuring a vast central hall with no idols or religious symbols. Instead, it encourages visitors to contemplate and pray in their own way, fostering an inclusive and spiritual experience.
Since it is one of the most visited landmarks in Delhi, it's best to plan your visit during weekdays or early in the morning to avoid larger crowds. The temple also hosts various cultural events and concerts, adding to the overall charm of the place.
Overall, the Lotus Temple is a must-visit destination in Delhi, whether you seek spiritual solace or simply want to admire the breathtaking architecture. It offers a serene escape from the bustling city and leaves visitors with a sense of awe and inspiration.

Peaceful and so beautiful place to visit. But since no edibles are allowed so the purpose of visit remains just for seeing things. It's free. Not much to see.

Nice place to visit in Delhi. Nice view... The garden is very beautiful & a perfect place to click good pictures. Entry is free but u can't enter with food items. If you have any in your bag, security will asked you to finish them before enter in the place. The front view of the temple is so mesmerizing & I feel an immense peace inside the temple. There is no religion bar & everyone are allowed inside the meditation hall. Worth visiting.

Although the entry inside is restricted at this Covid, but being in the campus is such peaceful. Calmness and peace can be felt here, such pure energy. Campus is well maintained, free of cost to enter and see the beauty around. The cleanliness is commendable, so is the staff behaviour. You can see varieties of flowers and well maintained trees. A must visit with your loved ones.

A very beautiful temple. The surrounding is clean and the garden is well-maintained. The view is amazing.
Inside it's very calm and quite. There's nothing much inside, just a bunch chairs and a table. You can stay inside for as long as you want but you can't make noise or use phones.
While going inside the temple grounds, you are not allowed to bring any kind of foods and beverages(except water) and all bags or backpacks will be checked. If you have a camera with you then you have to submit your ID card at the check gate.

Lotus Temple is a recent monument in the historical city of Delhi, and owing to its beautiful design and free entry, it is one of the popular sites for Delhites. Full marks for cleanliness and security. But it is too crowded on holidays (as it has free entry), and there is littering all around the boundaries. People have no respect for our monuments and lack sense of cleanliness, which should be developed among ourselves.

Nice place to see bhaai temple. You can expand for 30 minutes time here. It is a nice eye catching place. Inside the temple nothing except the seating area or you can say prayer area. You will get 10 minutes of time to sit and pray to your god. You must go there to see the Lotus style building architecture that is the main attraction.

The Lotus Temple is located in New Delhi, India. It is famous for its lotus-like shape and has become a prominent attraction in the city. The building comprises 27 free-standing marble-clad "petals" arranged in three clusters to form nine sides, with nine doors opening onto a central hall with a height of slightly over 34 meters and a capacity of 1,300 people. Inspired by the lotus flower, which is composed of 27 free-standing marble-clad "petals" arranged in clusters of three to form nine sides. The temple's shape is symbolic and inter-religious because the lotus is often associated with purity, sacredness, spirituality, and knowledge. The nine doors of the Lotus Temple open onto a central hall 34.3 meters tall that can seat 1,300 people and hold up to 2,500. The temple has a diameter of 70 m. The Lotus Temple property comprises 26 acres and nine surrounding ponds and gardens.

The Lotus Temple is undeniably a beautiful structure, with its stunning architectural design reminiscent of a blooming lotus flower. However, if you're seeking mental peace, this might not be the ideal destination due to the bustling crowds and constant activity.
While the temple offers a picturesque backdrop for a photo shoot, the serenity one might expect to find here is often overshadowed by the sheer number of visitors. The peaceful ambiance often sought after for quiet contemplation may be elusive amidst the hustle and bustle.
Nevertheless, the sheer beauty of the Lotus Temple's architecture is undeniable and worth experiencing. Despite the crowds, it remains a remarkable testament to artistry and creativity. So, if you're prepared for the lively atmosphere and appreciate captivating architecture, a visit to the Lotus Temple can still be a memorable experience.

Entry closes by 5PM sharp, entry to temple/garden is absolutely free.
This temple is such a wonderful architectural marvel. Garden is so huge, beautiful and very well managed. Although entry in garden isn’t allowed.
There’s a pathway (long corridor) that leads to temple you can walk along the garden and get some amazing pictures.
There’s no idol inside so it’s not a worshipping temple. You can sit and do dhyan.
Parking is available on the opposite side of the temple.

This is a beautiful, no doubt about it...but you cannot go there to relax or have any peace of mind. They are huge queues and the entire ground is restricted. You are allowed to only use the footpaths. During the huge rush, that space is not sufficient. What's the point of having a massive complex with a huge garden if you are not allowed to leave the footpath. There is also very minimal parking in this area. The access road is narrow.
Overall, not a place to go if you are looking for a peaceful time..

Came to know about the mall from social media and planned to visit but disappointed after reaching. As the place was dead due to the location of the mall even though the ambience of the mall is so beautiful and nicely planned but due to less footfall no big brands in the mall. No standard of crowd wearing chappals all around. You can imagine the standard of the mall from that even in their food court they don’t even have McDonald. Big yes for ambiance else big no for any other reason.

The Grand Venice Mall showcases an exquisite Venetian-themed architecture, but renovation is imperative to restore its grandeur. Despite this, it lacks a diverse brand lineup, limiting shopping options. While existing stores offer varied products, expanding the brand repertoire could elevate its appeal. The scenic gondola rides and themed ambiance add charm, yet revitalizing the mall's infrastructure and incorporating more brands would undoubtedly rejuvenate its allure, enhancing the overall shopping and entertainment experience for visitors.

The gaming system is on the top floor. Also you can have lunch or dinner, on the same floor. I felt the lack of one thing, if there was a system to watch movies here, the mall would have been praised. You can shop for branded clothes. I got to see a very nice collection. If I can say in one word, after going shopping in the mall, my heart became happy.

It’s extremely huge and have a lot to explore. Good for kids and family to have fun and spend good quality time. The mall is full of exceptional beauties from Venice like the architecture and the boat ride is quit famous. You can find famous brands and may have a great shopping experience as there is decent crowd all the time because the mall is so big that it does not seem crowded. The exterior architecture of mall will amaze you as one will feel that they have reached to the country itself. It’s is so beautifully designed and everything was perfectly organised. As for the parking, it will cost around ₹60 and the cost of fun activities are feasible as well. I had great time with my friends and I guess everyone must visit here once as it’s a one of a kind experience because malls are same everywhere but the architecture of this mall will not be available everywhere .

My wife and I recently visited the Venice Mall in Noida, enticed by the captivating photos and positive Google reviews we had come across online. The mall's Venice-themed design, with its water canals, seemed promising. Despite the challenges of commuting, including two metro lines and a distance of almost 50 kilometers from New Delhi, we made the effort to visit on our last day in Delhi.
However, upon reaching the mall, our excitement quickly turned into disappointment. The first thing that struck us was the lack of proper lighting, which failed to showcase the intricate details of the mall's architecture. With the exception of the lights at the main entrance, the rest of the mall was dimly lit, overshadowing the grandeur and charm of the old palace-inspired exterior we had witnessed firsthand.
Additionally, it was evident that the mall suffered from poor maintenance. Many areas appeared neglected, with a significant number of empty shops, contributing to an overall sense of emptiness. The absence of popular brands further detracted from the experience, leaving us questioning why such a promising space was unable to attract more businesses.

"I didn't enjoy going there; there weren't too many options for kids, adults, or food.
The mall, labeled as Venice Mall, attempted to match the theme in the middle, featuring boat fun along with a song. However, the boat ride was very costly at 300 rupees per head for a 5-minute ride, which I believe is a complete waste of money. I also had arguments with the ticket lady because she wanted to see my 4-year-old child to exempt him, and I was telling the truth that he is indeed 4 years old. I would recommend bringing Aadhar cards for kids if you plan to go on the boat ride.
There is no option for a full-fledged restaurant within the mall where you can enjoy peaceful food. While they do have a food court, the service is not good. However, you will find seating at pizza shops if you like them.
Masti Zone offers many options like arcade, kids' adventure, and trampoline, but it's also very costly compared to the timing and service they provide. For example, the trampoline costs 400 rupees per person for 30 minutes, and there isn't much to play there, making it a risky choice. Kids' adventure costs 250 rupees per child for 30 minutes, which is somewhat good, but timing is an issue. There is another adventure park that was closed, possibly due to missing safety standards. The arcade was also too costly; within 10 minutes, I was charged 1000 rupees, and most of the machines were not functioning.
Most of the shops within the mall are closed or not functional.
Valet parking charges 100 rupees."

Based on the theme of Vanice city, it has been drafted and catered well.
Although the mall doesn't look maintained from outside, still it is one of the most beautiful malls from inside.
Having very limited shops inside and most of the part in the mall is closed, the mall is beautiful and different from all other malls. I wish some day it runs on its full, so that we may be able to see it's actual beauty.

The Mansa Devi Temple is a beautiful and sacred Hindu pilgrimage site located on a hill in Haridwar, Uttarakhand.
To reach the temple, visitors can take a trolley ride from the base of the hill. The trolley service is operated by the temple management and is the most convenient way to reach the top.
The ticket price for the trolley is 130 rupees per person for a round trip (up and down). This is a reasonable price for the service provided, given the distance and elevation of the temple.
However, during peak season or on weekends, the wait time for the trolley can be quite long. In the case of the reviewer, they had to wait for around one hour for their turn to ride the trolley.
The trolley ride itself is an exciting experience, as it offers panoramic views of the city and the surrounding hills. The journey takes around 15-20 minutes, depending on the crowds and weather conditions.

It is a nice temple to visit which is situated at some height at the top of the hill. One can either use stairs or ropeway to reach the temple. Pilgrim needs to climb around 1000 staircases if it decides to go by foot. If someone doesn't have that much strength or is in a hurry ropeway service is useful and enjoyable too which helps you reach the temple within two minutes.

It's an important temple for Hindus and locals have a lot of faith in it. People go here to tie a red thread as a wish and once the wish comes true they go back and open the thread. There are three ways to reach it, one by steps (800+) and the other one by the trolley ride for those who can't climb and the third via a Trek. I would recommend the Trek. Its an easy one plus offers excellent views of the plains below. Also visit at the earliest possible hour to avoid crowds. It can be a very busy place.

The Mansa Devi Temple in Haridwar is a special place on a hill called Bilwa Parvat. It's a very important place for people who want to pray and connect with their faith. When I visited, I noticed how much people believed in the power of this temple. The temple itself is very beautiful, with pretty designs on the walls. Inside, there's a statue of Goddess Mansa Devi, who is believed to grant people's wishes.
What makes this temple even more interesting is how you can get to it. There's a cable car system, like a small cabin that takes you up to the temple. This is great because it helps people of all ages visit the temple, and it gives you an amazing view of Haridwar and the river Ganges.
The place around the temple is kept clean and neat. They have stalls where you can buy religious things, sweets, and souvenirs. The people who work at the temple are very kind and helpful.
Visiting the Mansa Devi Temple was a wonderful experience. It's a mix of faith and modern convenience. I think it's a must-visit if you're looking for blessings and peace in the spiritual atmosphere of Haridwar.

You have to visit here through air trolley which is a fun perhaps dangerous. Sometimes a techical problem arises in middle of the ride. The view is amazing. There is a long que for return ride and the temple is heavily crowded. The management is good outside the temple. There is no security control for the inner crowd. Improvements are needed

It is a very famous Hindu Deity temple Mata Mansa at the peak top of Mount just above river Ganga in Haridwar.
Thousands of devotees come to visit this temple.. on the way up hill there are small and little shops where one can quench their thirst and rest.
There is also another way through trolley service. But the crowd is enormous.
The temple is beautiful in its own and gives utter happiness to the visitors.

Very peaceful and blissful experience. We went to Chandi devi first, that resulted in rush at Mansa Devi. It has a short trek and the way is very broad and less steep. The way towards cable car is very narrow and doesn't have any parking space. We have to park the car way below the starting point of ropeway

Maa Mansa Devi Mandir is located on a small hill top. The ropeway takes 3mins but its mostly crowded to get the tickets. There is a walkway just close to the ropeway ticket counter and it takes 30-45mins to reach the temple.
You can get a bird eye view of the city and the valley nearby. The temple is amazing from inside. It took 15mins for the darshan. Stay away from the shops on the way trying to upsell.

By entering the temple we can able to see the chandi Devi statue and on the left side of gallery there is a door by which we can get inside to pay our tribute. Lots of people come here per day and they tie holy chunri and wish for success and happiness.
After this you got to see stairs by which you get downstairs and here some other statues of God's are present with a number of shops like bangles, clothes, Jewellery, sweets, etc.
Beware of monkeys as they try to snatch the Prasad and other eatable items.

There are plenty of beautiful cafés , lake and views are beautiful weather is amazing. A must visit kind of a destination. Don’t think book your tickets. I stayed at Himalayan hotel ( expensive for the rooms and the value it provides but view from there is something to die for)

Nainital Lake: Natural Paradise
Nainital Lake is a true gem nestled in the heart of the Indian Himalayas. My visit to this pristine lake left me mesmerized and reinvigorated.
The serene beauty of Nainital Lake is unparalleled. Surrounded by lush green hills and the vibrant Nainital town, it's a picturesque haven for nature lovers. The reflection of the surrounding mountains in the crystal-clear waters is a sight to behold.
Boating on the lake was a surreal experience. As I paddled along, I could feel a sense of calm and tranquility that's hard to find elsewhere. The cool breeze and the gentle ripples on the water made the boat ride incredibly soothing.
The promenade around the lake is perfect for leisurely strolls. Whether it's taking in the panoramic views, sipping on hot chai from local vendors, or enjoying street food, there's a unique charm to the atmosphere.
The Mall Road, located nearby, offers an array of shops and eateries where you can indulge in local handicrafts and delicious cuisine.
Nainital Lake is not just a scenic wonder; it's a cultural and natural treasure that captures the essence of the Himalayan experience. I would highly recommend visiting this enchanting destination to anyone seeking a peaceful retreat amidst nature's splendor.

In the heart of Nainital amidst majestic mountains there lies a deep lake of calm vastness known as Naini Lake. It is one of serene places in Uttarakhand state of India.
Quite a good place to hang around with friends and family. Beautiful and picturesque where one can breathe fresh air by away from city hustle.
However, to reach there one has to cross the city hustle. As soon as you enter the city Nainital taxi drivers starts approaching you with offers to give a tours of snow capped mountains and stuff.
Once you park you car in a nearby, yet crowded, parking the boat peddler starts approaching you for the deals of boating. The price is fixed though.
Don’t forget to eat the boiled maïs corn from the street vendors. They’re really yummy 😊

The lake was really clean, people are not allowed to feed fishes as it creates waste in the lake. We went boating and each boat costs ₹420 if you go for a complete round or ₹320 for half round. It was really a nice experience it took us around 40 minutes to complete the full round.

This is the LAKE wherefrom the town got its name ... Nainital. Nainital Lake, Naini Lake, Naini Jhil all are same...a majestic, giant, picturesque, unfathomable Tal or Lake in the middle of the town Nainital surrounded by seven beautiful hills...
a place most loved and cherished by countless tourists and people. Though my personal favourite is Sattal but the boating experience in Naini Lake is a memory to be preserved, particularly during morning and late afternoon. And a casual walk through the Mall Road connected with it or the Thandi Sarak, opposite of it or rather a religious visit to Naina Devi Temple...or some casual time pass in The Flattish....all are worth enjoying.

Located at 2100 meters above sea level, the High Altitude Zoo in Nainital is home to a variety of animals and birds. The zoo has programs and events to teach people about wildlife conservation.
It's a high altitude zoo. Strategically located. Very neat and clean. Refreshing breeze all the time. Animals collection is good, specially the Bengal tigers and Birds. Awesome place for a family getaway. Kids will love the place.

Amazing place - definitely one of the rare zoo where all animals were extremely healthy with a shiny coat of fur! You can actually see tigers, leopards, bear, wolves up close. Glad I skipped Corbett cause this was better, easier with kids and far cheaper. Only reason for 4 stars is that the zoo is on an incline. There is a lot of uphill climbing and for senior citizens and even not so fit adults, it's quite tiring. But probably the best experience in Nainital - rest is all very commercial and similar to other hill stations.

At very high place. Shattle service for zoo available from mall road. Privet vehicle not allowed for visit. Up down service available. Very sloppy road. Need too much effort for complete the zoo. We see just some animals and get back to mall road. Zoo very clean. No smell no dirt.

Nainital zoo is a good experience, specially the Royal Bengal Tiger, Leopards and the different kinds of birds they had. They had red panda as well and many kind of deers. The entry fee for this zoo is 100 per person. The timing is 10-5pm. The travel experience of this zoo is also very good. You have to book tickets for the can service from the mall road and go at the hill top. After that also you have to Trek a bit to the entry gate.
Nabyendu Das — Google review
Comparatively a smaller zoo but with a good variety of high altitude animals. You won't find animals which habitat in warmer climate.
The zoo is walkable for about 25 minutes from the Mall road, if you can walk uphill. Otherwise you may take a shuttle from the Mall road (chargeable), till last 150 meters, which you will anyway have to walk. Don't bring elderly or people who have trouble walking/climbing uphill.
Children will definitely enjoy and you can spend some 2-3 good hours here. Has a variety of birds & deers. A couple of Royal Bengal Tiger, a few Pandas, black bear, leopard.
Keep left and follow the arrows on the ground while walking. This way, you will ensure 100% completion or else you may skip out a couple of animals, if you walk haphazardly.

It is very difficult to reach this place. There are no markings as to where to park the car and no cabs can enter the way leading up to the zoo. The only way to reach this place is but shuttle (the wait is more than 30mins during peak times) or by two wheelers.
Apart from this To reach the entry you have to climb really high and zoo is actually vertical so be prepared to hike a lot. The zoo is nicely maintained and I got to see tiger, leopard, bear.

Nainital Zoo offers a captivating wildlife experience, boasting a diverse array of animals that captivate visitors. However, a potential drawback is the hilly terrain, requiring extensive walking, which might pose difficulties for elderly or asthmatic individuals. Chauli Ki Jali is a popular hiking spot and scenic overlook located high atop a cliff with a sheer drop and a historic temple, Mukteshwar. It offers picturesque views of the mountains and the Kumaon Valley. Visitors can walk along the rocky path next to the temple to reach a cluster of cliffs where they can spend time observing Himalayan eagles, trying adventure sports like zip-lining, rock-climbing, and rappelling.
This place is HANDS down the best view point in all around mukhteshwar. I believe it is highly underrated, but it’s the perfect place to watch the sunset! I’ve been here 4 times already and every time I wish to come back yet again! You’ll get absolutely 180 degree views here and will simply be amazed at it. There are large boulders which are situated across the place where you can sit, have your Maggi and hot tea, and just enjoy the view. I would 10/10 recommend everyone to go here if you’re near town! Totally worth it!

This is a good place but due to lots of commercial activities the place is getting dirty. I will suggest that from Mukteshwar dham mandir take left side of the road to first visit chauki ki jaali and return via jungle trek towards mandir and visit mandir on return. This way you don not need to climb so many stairs to reach mandir. There is a flying fox, it is must try (for long one the list price is 500 but you may get around 100 discount if bargain or if you are going in group).

This place is situated just beside the Mukteshwar Dham Temple. There is walkway just beside the entry of the temple that leads you to this place. On the entry to the walkway, you have small open shops and eateries where you can munch on Samosa, Kachori, Fruit Chat, Rajma Chawal, Dal Chawal and much more.
You need to walk around 500 mts before you reach this place and once you reach there are more eateries. There are even two ziplines if you are someone who loves thrill. The place is now heavily commercialized and that's my first complain with this scenic place. Chauli ki Jhali is essentially a mountain cliff which gives you breath-taking views of Himalayas and there is no wonder this place is so popular but due to heavy commercialization the place is very dirty and too crowded.
You can spend good 15-20 mins here taking back the mesmerizing views the place has to offer. Also dno't forget to click some pics on the first cliff just when you enter the area. That spot is a good one.
Totally recommened and more so in off season.

An iconic place to visit in Lucknow. The most interesting part is the Bauli. The inside of the main building is way too crowded. No body follows Covid norms. Too much restrictions too much of commercialization and rigid handling that you miss the elegance of this place.
Built by the Nawab of Awadh in for Azadari remembrance, this is elegant and amusing in its construction. It has 45 ways to the inside but just two leading outside.
Too many restrictions and conventional rigidities make the experience bad but this is a must visit monument in Lucknow.
Take a guide if you are in a group, it helps.

This imambara is the second largest after the Nizamat Imambara. The building complex also includes the large Asfi mosque, the Bhul-bhulaiya (the labyrinth), and Bowli, a step well with running water. It is said that there are 1024 ways to reach the terrace, but only two ways to come back, which is through the first gate or the last gate. It is an accidental architecture. It was also a relief measure during 1780 famine providing employment generation.

It's lovely, it's beautiful it holds lots of stories. You'll need a guide here though. It's very clean, but don't fill your water through the drinking water the water's sus. Also a beautiful garden which you're not allowed to enter.

I've found this place good. It has been kept well by the govt despite of the fact that huge number of people visit here everyday. However, I found that the rate of tickets were at the higher side. 300 for the age of 16 and above is absolutely unnecessary. If this is considered as a place of worship then let people enjoy some rebate on ticket rates. Overall good experience. Cheers.

A nice place to visit and walk around if you’re in Lucknow. I wasn’t able to gain access since the electronic payment methods were down but I got to visit the lawns which were nice.
It was also a bit crowded which I assume was due to Eid so I didn’t mind not being able to access the temple itself. Overall, a great spot for pictures!

One of the most beautiful historical place to visit in Lucknow. A place where you can see the way of living of Nawabs. If ever visited in Lucknow so I recommend you to must visit this place. Here you need a guide to visit inside bhool bhulaiya and it's seriously a bhool bhulaiya so be careful and take a guide if you are visiting first time. Helping staff and here you will get some snacks shops inside this place and toilet facilities available inside the place and you will be charged some amount if you're coming from personal vehicle as a parking fee. Overall it's my good visit.

The place is impressive and lots of things to see. Tickets r also very reasonable. In ₹50 you can see everything inside. Guides take about 100-200₹. Guides are compulsory to visit bhool bhulaiya, which is inside the campus only. But it isn't maintained well, so that is a negative point and mostly the whole place is crowded

History - The Bara Imambara, located in Lucknow, India, is one of the most famous imambaras in the world. It was built by Nawab Asaf-ud-Daula, the great Nawab of Awadh, in 1784 to provide employment to people during a major famine in the region. The complex includes the main building, the Asfi Mosque, the Bhul-Bhulaiya (a labyrinth), and a stepwell known as Shahi Baoli.
The main hall of the Bara Imambara, also known as the Asfi Mosque, is one of the largest vaulted galleries in the world and does not use any pillars or beams for support. It's a remarkable architectural feat of the Mughal era. The central hall is used for religious gatherings, particularly during Muharram, when processions and ceremonies are held to mourn the martyrdom of Imam Hussain.
The Bhul-Bhulaiya, or the labyrinth, is a fascinating maze of corridors and passages within the complex. It is said that even though it's easy to get lost inside, one can find their way out by following specific routes.
The Bara Imambara stands as a significant historical and cultural landmark in Lucknow, attracting visitors from all over the world who come to admire its architecture, explore its mysteries, and learn about its rich heritage.

It is among top of Must visit places while you are in Lucknow. Architecture is really amazing and
The Bara Imambara is one of the most famous monuments of the city. It is also known as Asfi Imambara, as it was constructed in 1784 by then the Nawab of Awadh, Asif-ud-Daula. The best part is that it was built as a part of relief project for a major Famine that took place in 1784 (to provide basic necessity to their people by giving them work).
Buildings is a 4 story and built without the use of iron bars. Whole Imambara contains Main building having large halls and Labyrinth, Badi Bouli, and asifi Mosque.
Labyrinth (Bhool Bhulaiya) in it's wall is well ventilated has stairs and connection to tunnel (currently closed) which connect it to places like Allahabad, Faizabad, Delhi and the gomti river. It contains steep stairs so not recommended for extreme age people and for those who have knee issues.
Another peculiarity is that at some places wall is constructed in such a way that wishers can be heard form long distance through walls.
Timings: Remains Open from 06:00 am to 05:00pm all day except Monday. Bhul bhulaiya (Labyrinth) opens at 09:00 am, so it's better to visit accordingly.

The ruins of the British Residency in Lucknow, built between 1780 and 1800, played a big role in the Indian Rebellion of 1857 as it was besieged by the British during the Siege of Lucknow. The complex consists of several buildings set in an arcade, and is now a popular tourist attraction.
The Residency is a beautiful historical site in the heart of Lucknow. As you walk through its ancient gates, you can't help but feel a sense of awe and wonder. The well-preserved ruins and lush gardens make for a picturesque setting, perfect for a leisurely stroll or a peaceful retreat.

It was not too crowded when I went here and the place was fairly well maintained in terms of cleanliness. Good place to hangout and do some photoshoots.

One of the best location in the middle of Lucknow city adjacent to High court.
It is a historic place and they have maintained it very well, all structures are great and the whole place is very clean and Greenery.
The buildings are in good shape and the main building which is in the centre is a Museum which is included in the entry ticket which is absolutely free, you only have to show the ticket while entering the museum.
Giving four star only because of some couples I saw, they are using this place as a private place to do timepass and I have also noticed that there are names scratched and written on the wall on all buildings which is very shameful for such a beautiful place, UP government should take very serious action on this issue.

Old Heritage Site at Lucknow.
Important place of 1857 revolt and British rule in Oudh. But not well protected by ASI
Local people's are not very aware for their monument.
Ticket price is 20 rs for Indians and 300 rs for foreigners.
Security staff's are very rude and non cooperative. A small museum inside the place but closed on Friday.

It is a very well maintained historical site; one of great turmoil during the annexation of Awadh. I didn't like the tone/language that painted Indians as villains in some of the boards here, but maybe that's too much nitpicking.
Loved seeing the various buildings and wondering what a bustling little township it might have been. The museum is also well maintained and gives a very insightful account of the First War of Indian Independence

The Residency, also called as the British Residency and Residency Complex, is a group of several buildings in a common precinct in the city of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. It served as the residence for the British Resident General who was a representative in the court of the Nawab.
Quiet place and also good to visit. Entry ticket 10 rupees and the museum cost is also somewhat 10 or 20 .
Try to clean the campus and clean and enjoy the essence of history.

The place offers you peace and a look into history. A great place to enjoy greenery and monumental structures. There is a museum also showing 1857 revolution and relevant historical pieces. The museum is Closed on every Friday, so avoid visiting on Friday. However, for families and children this isn't an ideal place because lot of couples hangout there and perform physical intimacy. Their inappropriate act make this place reasonably awkard for families. Authorities should take note of this. Otherwise, it's great.

The best place to visit on our trip to Lucknow. The place is really quaint and abundant in nature. The ruins are extensively spread out and calls for a nice walk in a good weather.
Not a typical touristy place and you will love it only if you like quite solitary places. It has a small museum as well. You will like the place only if you are a fan of history.
Side Note : This place has been promoted from the POV of Britishers and the revolt of 1857 by Indians has not been highlighted from Indian point of view.

Remnants of the British Cantonment area . A wonderful window into how the settlement was created in the heart of Lucknow . Historical significance around the Sepoy mutiny of 1857.
It makes for a good walk - but if you can make it early - while there are trees , the paths do not have too much shade , so it is tough when hot . Fortunately paths are flat so folks on wheelchair 🦽 can also visit , with assistance .

Very large area for quiet reflection and walking. Not too crowded. For those interested, it's a piece of nuanced history of violence (not all justified) towards freedom.
The grounds are well-maintained (thanks to the staff actively working there). Several interesting ruins of buildings as well as monuments erected in remembrance. The museum is small, but has a very nice summary of the history of the region.

The Residency, a fascinating historical site protected by the ASI. This unique complex is home to various building ruins such as the Baillie Guard Gate, Treasury, Banquet Hall, Doctor Fayrer’s House, The Main Building, Begum Kothi, and more. If you're looking for a place to dive deep into the past, this is a must-visit spot. The entire complex is packed with historical significance and will take you at least 2 hours or more to explore. There's some ongoing renovation work happening at the Imambara. 📍 Lucknow Residency
Step back in time at the historic Lucknow Residency, a witness to the pivotal First War of Independence in 1857. Spread across 33 acres, the ruins narrate the siege endured by the British stronghold. The Residency's foundations were laid in 1775, evolving into an exclusive European settlement. The attack by Indian soldiers in 1857 led to a gripping 86-day captivity for the British within these walls. Now a museum, it offers a vivid glimpse into the struggle for freedom with original models, lithographs, and a compelling diorama. A must-visit to delve into India's rich history. #Lucknow #1857Revolt #HistoricalGem

A historical monument where each wall carries some stories of Sepoy Mutiny. There are also history related to the Audh Nawabs. The building complex is quite large and you will need 1.5 - 2 hrs to cover it properly. The official opening time is 9 am. The staff was kind and courteous. It was zero crowded at that time and we enjoyed our visit in peace. Bonus was many birds and squirrels who kept playing in the morning warmness.

Do visit this place during daylight, since it gets closed in the evening and the museum remains closed on FRIDAYs. This place is so picturesque and holds a very rich history. Certain mosque within this residency are still functional. The price for tickets (Indians-Rs25) (Foreigners-Rs400).Talking about the place it reflects the history of colonisation in Lucknow. The construction of the Residency was started in the late 1700s by Nawab Asaf-ud-Daulah, however, it was completed by Nawab Saadat Ali Khan. After a few years of the construction, it became British personnels’ hub. In the initial years, they were just the delegates of the East India Company. However, as the reign of British East India expanded, the city of Lucknow became their administrative centre, and as an effect of that, the Residency also came under the British commissioner of Awadh. The biggest event that this place has been a part of, is the first war of Independence which held in the year 1857. One of the main centres of this entire siege was Lucknow and the main target was The Residency. Cannons and bullets destroyed the major part of this place and even today, the traces of that revolt can still be seen at The Residency.

I went to the Residency after decades. It was a perfect day to sight see The upkeep is exemplary, the entrance ticket was INR 25.
There are a lot of ancient peepul and bargad trees bearing silent witness to the violent events that unfolded here during the revolt of 1857.
Most impressive were the write ups to the various locations in Braille. I haven't seen this feature anywhere else in the world !!
Lots of people were sweeping and keeping the grounds and ruins really clean.
There were hardly any people around.

The Maya Devi Temple is a must-see destination for anyone visiting Lumbini, Nepal. As the birthplace of Gautama Buddha, the temple holds immense significance for Buddhists worldwide and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The temple's architecture is beautiful, with intricate carvings and detailed designs that are a testament to the skill and craftsmanship of the artisans who built it. The temple's interior is equally stunning, with colorful paintings and sacred relics that provide a glimpse into the rich history and culture of the region.
The highlight of my visit was standing in the very spot where Queen Maya Devi gave birth to Gautama Buddha. The temple's main attraction is a marker indicating the exact location of the birth, and it was an incredibly moving experience to stand in this sacred place and reflect on the Buddha's life and teachings.
The temple grounds are immaculately maintained, and the surrounding gardens provide a peaceful and serene atmosphere. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and they were happy to answer any questions I had about the temple's history and significance.
Overall, I would highly recommend a visit to the Maya Devi Temple to anyone visiting Lumbini. The temple is a remarkable example of the region's rich cultural heritage and is a powerful reminder of the Buddha's teachings. Visiting this sacred site was an unforgettable experience that I will always cherish.

The temple is just wow...
You can get lost in the mist of the almighty.
There are around 3 major temple in the campus, rest are the exhibition palaces for saints.
There's a huge sculpture gallery of all the saints that walked this province.
Phones are prohibited inside the main temple of Baba Gorakhnath ji.

🙏🚩The Gorakhnath Temple is a famous Hindu temple dedicated to the sage Gorakhnath. It is located in the city of Gorakhpur in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. The temple holds great significance for followers of the Nath sect, a religious order associated with Guru Gorakhnath.
Guru Gorakhnath was a renowned yogi and mystic who is believed to have lived during the 11th and 12th centuries. He was the founder of the Nath sect and played a significant role in the development of Hatha Yoga. The Gorakhnath Temple serves as a place of worship and pilgrimage for his followers.
The temple complex encompasses several structures, including the main shrine, where an idol of Guru Gorakhnath is enshrined. The idol is adorned with traditional clothing and offerings made by devotees. The temple also features various other smaller temples, ashrams, and residential quarters for the resident monks and followers.
Throughout the year, the temple attracts a large number of devotees, especially during important religious festivals and occasions associated with Guru Gorakhnath. These festivals include Gorakhnath Jayanti (birth anniversary of Guru Gorakhnath) and Navaratri (nine nights dedicated to the goddess Durga).
Apart from its religious and spiritual significance, the Gorakhnath Temple is also renowned for its charitable activities. The temple administration runs several educational institutions, hospitals, and welfare centers, providing services to the local community.
Please note that the information provided is up to my knowledge cutoff in September 2021, and there may have been updates or changes regarding the Gorakhnath Temple since then.

It's a serene place and most famous tourist destination in pokhara, as a traveller I really love the environment the lake has, I visited it on different times of the day, early morning it's calm and beautiful, day time it starts filling with people and gets crowded, many people love to hire boats and visit the temple which is right in the middle of the lake and also to take a pleasurable ride around it. It's a fulfilling experience. Boating with family, friends, solo anything is rewarding. People wave at each other and click pictures and share a smile across. The tourists are amazing as well. Early morning I saw many tea and snacks sellers. The market has changed so much at lakeside. There are many trekking supply, pachmina/ cashmere, Jewellery, antique, book, clothes stores there as well as the number of restaurants serving various cuisine has increased. The old/ new, tall hotels and buildings can be visible now, mostly in the alleyways of the other side of the lake. The number of bars and pubs has opened and serve live music there. So if you enjoy it you can choose any of them. They also designed a pavement for taking a long walk along side the lake which is a good step I feel, there are many street food or restaurants there as well. Night life by the lake is worthy. Take a stroll and eat your favourite food from Chinese to Tibetan to Nepalese to anything else they serve.
They also have permanent fair called Disneyland pokhara, we enjoyed the giant wheel ride it overlooked whole lakeside.
In the evening we witnessed the barahi temple Aarti, it gave the vibe of Banaras ganga ghat aarti, and it was a different experience for me aa well as I saw it happening for the 1st time. Everyday at Lakeside is great. There is a positive vibe.
While wandering in the morning I took a ride and walk from one end to another of the locality. I visited the gardens, temples alongside and clicked a lot of photographs.

You should definitely go to the lake. But if you are staying in Kathmandu and going to Pokhara, you need to take the 9-hour stabilized H04 highway. There is road construction work. Unfortunately, it is an extremely uncomfortable and dangerous journey. Drivers in Nepal are very experienced and skillful. His skills have improved in traffic jamming. It is necessary to travel this road to see the villages and settlements on the road and to better understand the culture of Nepal. It is very nice to enjoy canoeing on the lake. Please choose the evening hours to go. You can see much more beautiful views.

Phewa Lake, nestled in the heart of Pokhara, Nepal, is a breathtaking natural gem that captivates visitors with its serene beauty and tranquil atmosphere. During my recent visit, I had the pleasure of exploring this iconic lake and immersing myself in its peaceful surroundings.
The first thing that struck me upon arriving at Phewa Lake was its sheer size and crystal-clear waters. Stretching over 4 square kilometers, the lake offers plenty of space for various recreational activities such as boating, kayaking, and canoeing. I opted for a traditional wooden boat ride, allowing me to leisurely cruise along the calm waters while soaking in the panoramic views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks and lush green hillsides.
One of the highlights of my experience was witnessing the mesmerizing reflection of the Annapurna Range mirrored on the surface of the lake during sunrise and sunset. The play of light and shadow creates a magical ambiance, making it a photographer's paradise. I found myself constantly reaching for my camera to capture the beauty unfolding before me.
Aside from its natural splendor, Phewa Lake also serves as a vibrant hub of activity, with numerous lakeside cafes, restaurants, and souvenir shops lining its shores. I enjoyed strolling along the bustling Lakeside Promenade, sampling local delicacies, and browsing unique handicrafts made by talented artisans.
For those seeking a more adventurous experience, there are several hiking trails that lead to viewpoints offering panoramic vistas of Phewa Lake and the surrounding landscape. I embarked on a short hike to the World Peace Pagoda, where I was rewarded with breathtaking views of the lake from above, as well as a sense of tranquility and serenity.
Overall, my visit to Phewa Lake was nothing short of enchanting. Whether you're seeking relaxation, adventure, or simply a place to connect with nature, Phewa Lake has something to offer for everyone. Be ready to climb 480 steps (960 return trip)! There are many souvenirs shops along the way to the pagoda.
However, all that climb is worth it after you reach the site. The view along the way is also spectacular!
No video recording is allowed in both the outer and inner side of the pagoda. Once you reach the inner part, you need to take off your shoes. Admire the serenity around the place, you can literally hear the sound of nothing. Very peaceful. I heard lots of locals visit the pagoda early in the morning to meditate. Sunrise views will be unreal from this spot.
Offer your prayer in the main altar or offer a donation if you want to. If you're like me and like to do what the locals are doing, take 3 rounds of walk around the pagoda, clockwise only. This is believed so that we don't go against nature.

We took a small boat to cross the lake which got us to the bottom of the hill on top of which the pagoda seats. There is a long staircase going up through the forest, a very nice path to take although it can be slippery when wet. From the top you're supposed to have a great view of the mountains around, unfortunately it was cloudy when we went so we didn't see much but the view of Pokhara and the lake was nice. We went to a restaurant next to the pagoda for lunch and that was lovely. Must be even better with a clear view!

The path, lined with charming souvenir shops, leads to a place of profound serenity and spectacular views. The strict no-video policy helps preserve the sacred atmosphere, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the moment and the stunning silence that defines the pagoda.
Removing shoes to enter the inner sanctum, I felt a deeper connection to the tranquil surroundings. The early morning is particularly magical, with locals meditating and the sunrise views proving to be absolutely breathtaking.
Adhering to local customs, I walked around the pagoda three times clockwise, a practice that added to the spiritual depth of my visit. The journey through the peaceful forest to the pagoda and the surrounding flower gardens with their majestic mountain backdrop was unforgettable.

Mini hike to get there once the car stops. But passing through tranquil. Forest and entering the stupa brings a sense of tranquility. (for the believers) Stunning flower gardens and majestic views of mountains. We went in the evening of a relatively clear day. No regrets.

A hike leads to this Pagoda. Footwear are to be removed outside and you can't talk or make noise when near the Pagoda. The guard will shush you if you make noise. Not much to do here but it's peaceful and you can spend some time sitting or walk inside the premises. The hike back down has a few cafes & small shops on the way.

Parinirvana Stupa
Buddhist temple
Sights & Landmarks
Sacred & Religious Sites
The Parinirvana Stupa is a Buddhist temple in Kushinagar, India which is said to be the place of death of Gautama Buddha, the founder of Buddhism Alexander Cunningham gains the most attention for his work in the area, because he conclusively proved that Gautama Buddha had died in the area.
The present temple was built by the Indian Government in 1956 as part of the commemoration of the 2,500th year of the Mahaparinivana or 2500 BE (Buddhist Era). Inside this temple, there is a Reclining Buddha image lying on its right side with the head to the north. The statue is 6.1 m long and rests on a stone couch.

In the middle of the 5th century CE, a devout Buddhist named Haribala came to Kusinārā and found it totally in ruins. Wanting to revive the glory that the town deserved, Haribala enlarged the original stūpa (erected f i rst by the Malla princes and then later renovated by King Asoka) and also built the famous monolithic sandstone reclining Buddha statue that can be seen today. However, the sacred ground was deserted again after the 12th century Islamic crusades, and left to the whim of the forces of nature.
In the mid-19th century, the British archaeologist Alexander Cunningham and his assistant Archibald Carlleyle rediscovered the lost site. Then in the early 1900s, the Burmese monk Bhante Chandramani fell in love with the holy town and made it his life mission to ensure that it did not fall in to ruin again.
" When the Buddha finally passed away, it was not just the end of one life. Millions of lives, countless lives, had come to an end. And it was such a good end, after he had helped so many. At that moment there was very strong Dhamma dhātu, Nibbāna dhātu, and the effects have remained for centuries.
– S.N. Goenka Guruji..
All compounded things are impermanent (Aniccā vata saṅkhārā), Their nature is to arise and pass away (uppādavaya-dhammino).
When they arise and are eradicated (Uppajjitvā-nirujjhanti), Their cessation brings happiness (tesaṃ vūpasamo sukho).
Buddha's last word
Vaya-dhamma sankhara..
Appamadena sampadetha..
( all compounded things are impermanent..
Strive with diligently..)

May all be happy
May all be liberated

One of the most peaceful sites out of all the holy sites we have visited.
The park is free and open from sunrise to sunset so the schedule is different everyday.
People are generally frendly and kind. There are a few that is a bit aggressive to provide services so they can get money. Just smile and gave a sense of humor about it. 🙃

Chitwan National Park, established in 1973, covers an area of 932 square kilometers and is home to a variety of wildlife including Bengal tigers, monkeys, crocodiles, deer, colorful birds, and the endangered one-horned rhino. Visitors can take a private jeep safari arranged through Sapana Lodge to explore the park and have the chance to spot wild elephants, sloth bears, and even leopards if they're lucky.
Must go on a jungle safari Jeep ride and try locating wild animals such as rhino, elephants, bear and tiger if you are lucky. Very knowledgeable guide and driver accompanies the tourist on a 9 seater high deck Jeep or hire a private for Rs 18000 Napalee Rupee. It's fun to be on this.

An amazing national park! Beautiful rivers, lakes, forests and plenty of wildlife to see. There were lots of elephants, some being looked after, some wild and some being used for elephant rides. The rhinos were fantastic, as well as the water buffalo. We even managed to catch a glimpse of a sloth bear. The safari was simply amazing and a great choice, as it was a great way to see more of the national park. I would highly recommend going on safari in Chitwan if you are visiting Nepal.

The park boasts a stunning array of wildlife, showcasing a diverse range of species. Although we missed sighting any tigers or cobras, our experience was still enriched by encounters with crocodiles, monkeys, spotted deer, bison, elephants, and various bird species. For any animal enthusiast, this destination is an absolute must-visit.

Chitwan national park is very famous & popular site for international as well as domestic tourists. It has been listed in UNESCO world heritage site. A lot of hotels & tourist facilities are at small town called Sauraha at northern bank of Rapti river. View of Sunset from the River bank is amazing. In evening Tharu (local ethnic people) Cultural Show is shown at nearby hall in Sauraha. They offer about 4 hours of jeep safari in jungle south of Rapti river, about an hour of elephant safari in western community forest & about an hour of wooden boat (canoe) riding on eastern river. Elephant safari is most popular & shouldn't miss. If lucky you may see one horned rhino easily. Elephant breeding center is also a good visit. Recently umbrella street is getting popular & you may see a lot of people taking photos & selfies.

Chitwan was amazingly beautiful. I got ready for the Wildlife Safari and headed to see the Wildlife by around 8:00 AM, Interestingly I thought the Safari would be on Jeep or on forest department vehicle but it turned out to be on an Elephant back, actually it was my first ever wildlife tour on an Elephant back and for me it was quite an adventure – I got to see quite a number of animals such as Rhinocerous, Deer, Samba, Leopard, Elephants, Crocodile etc. Here are some of the moments I could capture…, Definitely worth a Visit.

Nice park, but I felt like that weren’t that many tree around, may be it’s been way. My expectation from the guide was so high of possibility to see the animals, but when I went there were hardly any animal beside 🦌 deers and some birds. Tiger was nowhere to be found. Luckily right before I left, we passed by 2 🦏 rhinos. A few peacocks🦚. The weather in April was so hot and jazzy, hardly could see what in front of the car.

There are lots of type of tour they offer and we took 2 hours tour. Luckily we saw different types of animals and the famous was Rhino.
Better you take elephant ride rather then jeep safari as you won’t be able to enjoy much in jeep and feel natural experience of going inside the biggest natural park.
Also make early morning ride as it would be cool weather and you won’t be exhausted.
Elephant rider was very good and young but most of them hardly speaks English.
I wish they could be train to speak English too.

A wonderful national park at the south of the country, next to the borders with India. Established in 1973, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1984, and home to so many amazing species. It covers a huge area of 953 square klm and it is visible by tourists.
The most famous animals are deers, crocodiles, rhinoceros, elephants and tigers, although the latter is considered a very rare site. The fauna and flora that is preserved and protected covers thousands of species.
There is also an elephant breeding center.
In the park you enter only with a guide and you can go walking, canoeing, jeep or elephant safari.

Dense Jungle, super tall elephant grass, rhinos, crocodiles and lots of dear. Highly recommend visiting this beautiful place. Many hotels also stopped elephant riding and jeeps are very limited in the park. Nepal is doing well protecting their nature/wildlife

Somewhat disappointed in our visit to Chitwan National Park. The Elephant Breeding Centre was questionable in their purpose for breeding and general practices. All females and young chained up for a good part of the day while one bull Elephant visited when he was in the mood. The dugout canoe ride down “Crocodile River” was good. We saw absolutely nothing on the one-hour Jungle walk and only a few deer, one Wart Hog and two Rhino at the very end of a long, five hour jeep safaris. Overall, a disappointing visit with very poor air quality.

During the Safari Jungle tour in a open jeep I have seen wild animals / birds including One horn Rhinoceros, Gharial-crocodiles, Peacocks, Elephants, all four species of Deers, Bears, yellow monitor (Gohoro), Wild boar (Bandel) & wild chickens only major missing animal was royal Bengal Tiger.
There are 9 entry points to the park 1, Kasara 2. Ghatgain , 3. Bhimle , 4. Khagendra mali 5. Sunachuri , 6. Sauraha 7. Laukhani , 8. Amaltari, 9. Kujauli.

Nice park, but we didn’t see many animals.
The Jeep safari was 5 hours, too long. The guides we had almost said nothing about the park, only pointed a few birds to us.
The guide who is serving during jungle walk is much better. But I feel because we negotiate the price , so guide doesn’t really want to make efforts anymore.
So this is the touristic place thing. Except that the national park is nice to walk, and canoeing a is beautiful experience as well.

Not a pleasant experience. Our Vehicle entered at 2-30 PM. We saw some parrots, back of two Rhinos fading away in long grass, Wild boar from long distance and one Domesticated elephant. Didn't expect this after seeing so many videos. Vehicle came out at 5-00 PM, just after 2 hrs 30 Minutes. Guide was silent most of the time. He was not very knowledgable either.

Chitwan Park is definitely worth to visit if you are traveling to Nepal. You can spend several days here and relax after your trek in Himalayas. It’s nice and worm but very humid. You can a find a very nice hotel with swimming pool for reasonable price and great service. Make sure you get a hotel at the river side. If you are lucky, you can spot some wild life early in the morning.
We started our day by taking a boat trip and watching crocodiles. You can see many of them all around you. It’s a bit creepy since the boat is just a huge piece of tree and it looks like it’s going to sink at any time but it’s fun

Instead of using an agency, I went straight to the checkpoint and purchased the safari directly from the guide, Jungle Man, who is in the last photo.
There is only one official operator of the jeep tours inside the park, and all the agents sell the same offers. I received offers ranging from 1600 to 2500 for the exact same trip.
Ultimately, I purchased the safari directly from the guide for 1720, which included the entrance fee for the crocodile farm. Additionally, I paid 2000 for the permit, which is valid for one day inside the park and one day in the perimeter zone, totaling two days.
Most people I spoke to did a 4-hour jeep safari inside the park, like I did, and a 4-hour morning hike in the perimeter area. There is also an option for a whole day hiking safari, but I don't have any feedback on that one. We also encountered at least three pairs of hikers inside the park. Such hikes require two guides for protection.
Both the walk inside the park and the walk in the perimeter zone were highly recommended by everyone I spoke to. They mentioned that they could observe animals up close, and since the walk is silent and there are only a few people, it doesn't scare the animals away.
The jeep safari was fantastic as well. We saw a total of 13 rhinos on seven different occasions. Additionally, we saw at least 100 deer that looked like Bambi, one large black deer, some wild pigs, multiple different bird species, and our jeep even got stuck in a ditch, which was quite exciting on its own.
I regret not staying one more day to do the hike instead of rushing to Kathmandu. I had the time, and it would have been worth it.

Riding of elephants during a safari is cruel and unnecessary. It is exploitation of these wonderful animals who are not built for carrying a family of humans on their backs for several hours. If you can, please take a jeep instead. You can enjoy it just as much and really appreciate the wildlife.

Ok, a buddy and I went on this “safari” in March of 2018. We asked the front desk clerk at our hotel what he thought of it. That should of been a red flag right there. He said, “sometimes you see something, sometimes you don’t.” If you aren’t familiar with the phrase “Condemnation through lack of praise”, it fits well in this scenario. He said that for $20.00, how can you go wrong ( or maybe I said that to convince myself to go).
If you think you will drive over a ridge and as you go down you’ll see thousands of animals in a herd grazing in the grasslands, ha ha ha ! That was me . I saw a lizard in a tree, some monkeys from a distance, a few birds, and an actual rhino through some dense bush. It was a 3 hour drive through the bush.
The highlight of the Jeep Drive was watching the other tourists, especially the English guy hanging out with his parents-in-law.... on a holiday with their daughter( the look in his eyes as his mother in law spoke with that voice, wow!).

You have to take very crowded cable car to reach this Temple. After reaching this Temple we saw a VERY VERY VERY long queue to enter the Temple. We were told it would take several hours in queue.
Many people were waiting in queue with a goat. This was for sacrificing it.
We were not in a position to wait so long. So we said our prayers from outside only.
One interesting thing I noticed was the restaurants were selling flowers etc for offering prayers, at the sametime they were selling liquors also. Non- Veg food was freely available.

The lunch timings for the cable car is from 12 noon to 1.30pm. Its better to reach before 1.15 pm and stand in Que line for the tickets. It is located on the peak of the mountain. The rope-way experience is amazing and the Cable car covers the distance of 3 KM in almost10 to 15 minutes. The Spectacular deep valleys and the terraced fields can be seen from the cable car.
Once we reach the top There was a very long queue for the darshan and it took 3 hours for us to complete the darshan. It was a great experiece. Mana” means hearts and “Kamana” means wishes, therefore, Manakamana means the Goddess of heart’s wishes.
It is situated in the village of Manakamana in Gorkha District in Nepal.
This is a beautiful artistic two-storeyed pagoda-style temple of Goddess Durga.
How to reach Manakamana Temple?
In earlier times, the only way to reach the Manakamana temple was by a long strenuous trek for about three hours.
Now, there is a facility of a cable car. The cable car rides over the distance of 2.8 kilometres (1.7 mi) in 10 minutes more or less.
In my experience, the ride was for 10 to 15 minutes and it was indeed enjoyable. While I was in the cable car, I saw the mountains, farms, green pastures land and river. Scenes so surreal and worth watching.
Cost of Cable Car: There is different prices for Nepalese citizens and foreign. This means cost for cable car ride is little more for India tourists.
However, the Nepali currency is less expensive Indian rupee. So, no worries.
Safety is a concern while riding in Cable Car?
No. Not at all. Its safe and well ventilated. Cable car is airy and safe. The cable car system was imported from Austria and guarantees a hundred percent safety.
I felt all safe, enjoyed the beauty of nature on the way to Manakamana temple.
Timings of cable car:
The cable car usually operates during the daytime from 9 am to 5 pm.
How many people can sit in the cable car at a time?
The number of passengers per carrier is 6.
After you get out of Cable Car. You will need to walk for 1.5- 2kms. That way to the temple is full of stairs accompanied by shops selling Nepali jewellery, idols, show pieces, earrings, necklaces.
It was crowded when I visited and stood in the queue for almost 3 hours and then the queue started moving. You will get to see Monkeys all over. Beware of monkeys. Though, it was treat to watch them play and jump all around.
Blue sky views from Manakamana Temple was beautiful.

Devotees who visit here seek blessings and perform rituals, firmly believing in wish fulfillment through their devotion. The temple's spiritual ambiance is enhanced by its lush Himalayan backdrop. Its prominence stems from the religious significance and the breathtaking journey, often via a cable car, which offers awe-inspiring views. Combining faith, natural beauty, and cultural heritage, Manakamana Temple holds a prestigious place among Nepal's top pilgrimage sites.

Mandir is unquestionable and belief, that’s what hours and hours of queue demonstrates. We stood 6 hours on our latest visit, and 3-4 hours is usual before you get to the inside of the devi darshan.
Management of this temple, however, needs to seriously rethink about cleaning the temple premises- stray dogs, garbage, trash, blood, and total queue mismanagement. Their donation boxes are full of cash, my kid couldn’t figure out how to drop cash into the boxes. Looking at it, management should stay alert!

Amazing place with great view of mountains. The thing I like is Panditji giving time to each and every devotee came over there. The waiting line is too long, if you are going in between 12 to 2 pm then you have to wait approx 2-3 hours. Cable car service is there . It's a must visit place.

Goddess that fulfills your wishes!! temple situated at the top of the hill and is accessible through both vehicle and most famous cable car service!! If you have time and love hiking, you can choose the traditional route to make to the temple!! The bad part is the annoying restaurant vendors throughout the route to the temple from the uphill cable car station!!

The Manakamana Temple is truly stunning. The peaceful mood and beautiful views make the trip worth it. You should definitely go to this holy place, whether you're looking for peace or just want to enjoy its beauty.
The Elephant Breeding Center is a family-friendly wildlife refuge where visitors can observe elephants of all ages and learn about their care and feeding. The center has recently been upgraded with a large bridge that allows for easy crossing of the river. While there are many elephants to see, it's important to note that this is primarily a breeding and training center. Visitors must pay NRs 50 for admission and can observe mother and child elephants as well as an adult elephant's skull.
Very cute little elephants roaming free is the best view. Lots of elephants here. This place has upgraded since the last time with a huge bridge that's just across the river which else had to be crossed on a canoe made of tree hollowed out. It's a nice place to meet nature but. It's a breeding and training center for elephants.

Good place to watch elephants, we need to cross a bridge on foot to reach this place. Bridge in itself is an adventure. Good place to visit in area, one can spend around 45 minutes here including bridge walk. Entry ticket 100 NPR for foreigners!

You have to pay NRs 50 for ticket to entry. You can observe mother elephants and child elephants. There is a adult elephant's skull too.
Since this is breeding center, don't expect too much as a visitor. If this is your first time then you will enjoy it.

Fun experiences,especially for kids.
Visit before 8 am in the morning,im summer ,as the weather will be cool and pleasant. Also, at around 9 am, the elephant leaves to graze in the jungle.
Or visit after 4:30 in the evening.

The place is nice. But not much you can expect. These looked like more for short stay elephants. You will see some small once’s running around or being chained near their mothers.
The place can be visited in the morning within an hour max. Nothing much to do or see.
The place is serene and nice for an early morning stroll.
If you are lucky you may see a group of deers wondering outside the breeding area.

You can see bunch ko elephants and their kids. Nothing much but is a pleasant and peaceful place. I did take a short walk in the jungle, so reaching the breeding center was somewhat of a relief.
The entry fee is 50 rupee for Nepalese citizen. They claim that the fee is used for the welfare of the elephants.

Elephants that are bred here are called ‘working elephants’ which means they will be used for breeding, elephant rides, elephants safaris, for various other work their entire lives. When I was taken I saw many animals rocking back and forth which is a sign of stress and depression in elephants.
There is a room which explains how the spirit of baby elephants are broken to make sure they are obedient to the mahouts. That’s not how these gentle giants should be living their lives.
Please don’t support animal cruelty. Nepal has stunning mountains and beautiful people, visit and enjoy those attractions but not this place where elephants are chained and used for work.

Amazing place. Worth visiting. The best way is cycling from Sauraha. 20min only. There are many elephants. Entrance fee: 100 NPR.

It's hard to see the animals in chains, but it's good for the elephant population and they use the elephants for patrolling the park against Pochers

It's a good project by government of Nepal. Elephants are breeded in protected environment with proper care by doctors and veterinary. Very impressed with overall care and facilities available for elephants here.

This is a pretty sad place to visit. No one in Nepal will be honest to tourists especially about animal cruelty. Ironic when elephants are considered a god, but one religion that is the most important to our guide is ‘tourism’ and that is the only reason this EBC is operating. To breed elephants that will continue to work and safari and bring in the tourists money.
I was excited as I thought a breeding centre meant they were breeding them for the wild… this is not the case. They are bred into captivity. Born a slave. Die a slave. 😢 we need to stop this sort of animal abuse.
Courtney Jones — Google review
Worth to visit if you go to the park and safari as well but don't expect much. It's more like a parking lot for elephants than a breeding center. You can see little cute elephants playing with each other which is really lovely but if you want to see more realistic and natural breeding center, you might want to go to Sri Lanka

❌️❌️!!! These elefants need to be saved from this horrible life !!!❌️❌️
Really Really bad 🐘🔨
Far away, we heard the elephant making sounds. It sounded like a scream of pain and fear💔. When we came more nearby, we saw the man hitting the elephant really hard with the hammer on his head to push him and make the elephant follow his commands.
This was only a short footage of the day, and it shows directly a lot of how they treat those poor caged animals behind the scenes and before the scenes. The other reviews online say more then enough!!
DON'T GO TO THIS KIND OF ANIMAL ABUSERS 🐘🔨

A amazing place to witness the charm of small elephant calves near Chitwan National Park. Exploring such wildlife-rich areas
silwal official — Google review
The Elephant Breeding Centre at Chitwan National Park offers a unique insight into elephant conservation. While the experience was informative and the elephants well-cared-for, a four-star rating reflects room for improvement in certain aspects.

Some elephants with their kids were there. Nothing more. Yes, the place is good for the children. One more thing and that's on the way, the suspension bridge is a splendid one in terms of construction. Entry fee N.C. 100 only.
