Boardwalk through forest & waterways offering views of beavers, other wildlife & natural scenery.
It's so peaceful. Had a nice walk but I didn't see any beavers. But it was okay the weather was calm. There's a part of the boardwalk that was damaged and can't be strolled. I hope they can fix that.

Was a nice walk. Pretty views of the mashy flats. Went at 6 ish in the evening since dusk is supposed to be best to see beavers out and about. Didn't see any beavers tho 😔 but saw the dams and house that they've built. At least 3 boardwalks were closed and needed repair. Popular place for running and taking dogs for walks. 🏃♂️🐶
Pam B — Google review
A nice network of trails around the wetlands. The boardwalks made the walking easier, even on a rainy day. There were lots of birds and small animals sharing the area. There were a number of sections closed off while we were there, it looked like some repairs were needed, but this was the end of the season so that's understandable. If you're staying near Hinton this is a trail well worth visiting. You can spend either an hour or several hours and cover everything. It's perfect for an evening stroll.
Christopher Houston — Google review
Had a nice stroll along the boardwalk. Some areas are under construction but that didn't slow me down. Good area to get fresh air and exercise. Seen a couple beavers but wasn't able or quick enough to get a picture of them. A nice elevated bridge area out in the marsh. Kids would love to explore the area and I plan on taking the kids here on our next Canadian road trip.

Beautiful nature and rehabilitation scenery with a wonderful boardwalk surrounding a beaver lodge. Visit during sunrise or sunsets for the best chance at capturing a glimpse of these busy workers. People there are friendly and respectful nature lovers. A great place for a silent escape to bring family to view such an amazing natural habitat if you're ever visiting the area. Bikes (unmotorized) are also permitted.
Jonas Wong — Google review
We stopped here at the end of the day to enjoy the sunset. Parts of the boardwalk were under construction but it is extremely well done and recommend for a nice evening stroll.
Mar Chris — Google review
Very nice boardwalk area. Looks to have had some recent fixes to some spots. There were some areas that we couldn't go due to a flooding event. There were lots of different birds around the area. We even got to witness a rufous humming bird sitting way up on the tips of the dead conifers.
Tyler Dobranski — Google review
Wonderful trails well put together and informative. We really enjoyed it. Definitely would visit this place again. Great way to spend an hour.

Strolling along the newly built wooden boardwalk and navigating through the wetlands and marshes is truly relaxing. The volunteers have made a significant contribution – thank you!

Visited in late September and the beavers came out around 4:45pm. We saw a few of the little ones playing and climbing on the outside of the dam and one of the adult beavers was collecting grasses from the nearby shores. Probably would've seen more activity if we'd stayed later or been there around sunset, but we had dinner reservations back in Jasper

Stunning area for a walk, amazing scenery. Knocking a star off because a lot of it was broken when I last visited.

Beavers ✅ Boardwalk ✅
A great nature sporting walk that the whole family will enjoy!

We had an RV so found off street parking at approx 440 Collinge road about 200mtrs away from start of walk, there is parking right at the entrance also with a toilet there. Wheelchair accessible track mostly. We visited twice and saw beavers there after 6pm, they put on a great show. Plenty of bird life around as well which was fantastic. We spent hours here taking it all in. You could rush around the walkways in less than an hour if you wanted to. Friendly locals who are happy to share their knowledge and eperiences with you. One of our favourite places during our 3 week stay in Canada
Steve E — Google review
Very beautiful place for a stroll or hike. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because parts of the boardwalk are in severe need of repairs.
Bring your dogs but keep them on a leash.
Lots of wildlife including birds and beavers and watch out for bears and cougars and I don't mean the ones with manicured nails! 😉
The Columbia Icefield Skywalk is a 1km pathway that guides visitors to an observation platform with a glass-floor, providing a stunning view of the 280m drop below. Situated between Lake Louise and Jasper on the Icefields Parkway, this remarkable attraction combines a walkway at the edge of a cliff with an overlook featuring transparent flooring. It offers breathtaking vistas of the Sunwapta Valley.
Wow, what a place, what a structure! I and my wife are both architects and it was amazing to see this structure just hanging there. An amazing Structural engineering!!!
Very cool experience to walk on glass and see nothing below your feet, some people have a bit of an issue with it. If you have a fear of highs you might have an issue with that.
Highly recommended place to visit!

What a place this is. It's surreal, it's beautiful, and it's fantastic. The views, the roads, the mountains, everything was perfect. We were fortunate that the weather was also lovely, and we enjoyed every bit of it. Walking on the skywalk was a fantastic experience. It felt scary in the beginning, but overall, it was fun. We were able to click some great pictures.
Ankit Saini — Google review
Great views. A really well engineered tourist attraction. FYI: unable to drive up to location and enter to "look down" but must instead go to the ticketing building, purchase tour ticket, board a bus, get driven for approx. 7 mins to the location whilst hearing some facts about the area, then enter for sightseeing. The return buses come every 10 mins or so to take you back to your vehicle.
Kandis C — Google review
This place is a must visit if you are traveling through Jasper or Banff. From this bridge you need to drive another 10 minutes to the parking lot, after which you go on a bus and they will take you to the bridge and back. The first steps on this bridge caused fear for me personally, but on the third approach to this bridge I felt very comfortable and was lucky with the weather: it was very warm and sunny. But I think this place is beautiful in any weather. I was also amazed by the selection of souvenirs in the store. Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to have lunch in the cafe, but I will definitely come back here again!

Columbia Icefields is a unique experience. We went in September. There was no snow anywhere except in Columbia Icefields. It was so surprising and enchanting. It's about 10 degrees cooler at the Skywalk than the rest of the parkway, so dress up accordingly. We saw snow goats from the Skywalk, it was so awesome.

Absolutely spectacular. Very safe vehicle and fairly easy to get in and out of for older people. The drive to the glaciers in the specially made vehicles is very up and down...steep inclines. Our driver Jess made it seem easy. Great tour guide and driver. Jess was very pleasant and funny! There were a few people who fell walking on the glacier but you just have to take it slow. Glacier is outstanding. A once in a lifetime opportunity.
Bonnie Therrien — Google review
An unmissable place when you visit Banff/Jasper.. you will be amazed with the natural beauty, serenity and sheer size of glacier. Take a jacket without fail, as the glacier is less than 10degrees even during peak summer. Also advance booking of ride to glacier is a must!

If you are going to the icefield, yuo may as well get the package to visit the Skywalk whilst you are there. Personally I would do the Skywalk first if possible.
The Columbia Icefield Skywalk is a popular tourist attraction located in Jasper National Park, Alberta, Canada. It is a glass-floored observation platform that extends out from the edge of a cliff, providing visitors with stunning panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, valleys, and the Sunwapta River below. The Skywalk is situated along the Icefields Parkway, approximately halfway between the Jasper and Banff townsites. It offers visitors a unique perspective of the Canadian Rockies and the Athabasca Glacier. The Columbia Icefield Skywalk features a horseshoe-shaped walkway with a glass floor that juts out from the cliff's edge. The platform is constructed of steel and glass, providing an unobstructed view of the landscape below. You can enjoy a self guided walk that includes informational displays about the surrounding geology, wildlife, and glaciology. The experience offers a thrilling opportunity to view the dramatic landscape from a new vantage point. The Skywalk is wheelchair accessible, allowing people of all abilities to enjoy the experience. It is designed with safety features and has a solid construction to ensure visitors' comfort and security while exploring the platform.

Really nice place , the staff and crew were very good. I wish they could regulate the number of people on the sky walk. Too crowded, no room to move or take pics . Given covid , even more reason to socially distance. My tip - take the last trip out at 17.30, the crowd thins out and you have some place to breathe and move around
Pavan Jacob — Google review
The views are great and walking on that glass pathway is a thrill in itself. Interesting to see the engineering behind it. Took a little while to grab the bus back to the welcome center but it's alright. Not necessarily a must see, but definitely worth it if you have the time.
Alexander Meehan — Google review
If you’re going to Banff and Jasper then a must do activity and excursion. It’s unbelievable to stand and walk on a 10000 year old glacier. Columbia icefield glacier team is great very courteous and experienced. There discovery center is great 👍🏻. Overall a fabulous and fantastic experience.
Aditya Madan — Google review
The skywalk is a wonderful experience. The price-performance ratio is still ok. If you travel here by bus, you should take plenty of time. There is so much to see, experience and learn. All around the mountains and the glaciers, and also the animals like the mountain goats and the bears. You also learn how important nature and climate protection are for the preservation of the glaciers and their lakes.
Taxi driver — Google review
We did just the skywalk (no glacier walking tour - so can’t comment on that) and were pretty disappointed. It’s essentially a glorified rest stop at the side of the road, with okay views but nothing remarkable compared to other spots along the highway and in the nearby national parks.
You arrive at the glacier centre and they take you on a bus up to the skywalk (which you already drove past). You walk around for a while, walk across the glass skywalk, then get the bus back.
Frankly, the views from the glacier centre where you board the bus are better than the skywalk. Unless you’re super keen to walk on glass, I’d suggest you just skip it and enjoy a coffee/lunch in the cafe, which was quite nice and reasonably priced.
Haskan Kaya — Google review
Visited on Sep 10, 2023. The regular shuttle bus back from the Columbia Icefield bypasses the visitor centre and goes further north on HWY 93 to arrive here directly. A little scared at the right beginning on the glass but soon ok. Another way to become better is to look at the horizon instead of looking down. Good view and worthy.
Mr. Zeng — Google review
It was such a great time. Took my father in law. It was our first time. There was some maintenance being done, so we couldn't walk the whole thing, however we still had access to over half of it and the views are spectacular. There's no rush which is nice.
Jessica Klaassen — Google review
We arrived with bad weather so the viability at times was not great but we did see and photograph some beautiful scenery and loved how easy it was to walk around with no restrictions. The skywalk gave you stunning views of the mountains, rivers and Glaciers. The structure was amazing so make sure you also check it out. Bus does run frequently to and from the Columbia Icefield centre and access is very easy.
Terry Ross — Google review
This was one of the most amazing experience. A bit overpriced but definitely worth it. There was frequent buses to get to the skywalk. It is long and wide enough for a large crowd. Lots of information boards around to get more information about the animals and site.
It was a bit jarring to step on the glass but once you step into it than it gets better
M K — Google review
This is a bizarre addition to the Columbia Ice Fields tour that doesn't make sense. There used to be a nice pull out area to park vehicles and enjoy the scenery. Now the entire area is occupied by this mammoth steel structure that extends into the valley with a small glass section. It begs the question why???
This sky walk adds another 1 hr to the ice field tour, which typically used to take about 2 hrs. Now it takes almost 3hrs in total with no access to a washroom after you left the main building. A bus will directly take you from the ice field tour to this new location. Some people had opted to skip this and stay in the bus to continue to the visitor centre.
This is one of the sad realities of ultra commercialization of the Banff/Jasper National Parks.
Waruna C — Google review
Walking across the bridge is a truly great experience, and you need not worry because the glass is incredibly strong and safe. The view of the mountains and waterfalls from the bridge is awe-inspiring. Keep an eye out, as you might even spot mountain goats beneath the bridge. If you enjoy heights, this is an absolute must-visit destination. Be sure to purchase a ticket in advance, as you cannot stop on the side of the highway to access it. Also, it's essential to be prepared since there are no washroom facilities available at this location.
Destination Diaries with Matt — Google review
The views were stunning. I had a tickling sensation in my stomach from the walk on the glass-floor observation platform overlooking a 280m drop 😅🤩.
Peace of advice: go to the washrooms before heading into the bus for the skywalk. There are no toilets when you arrive. The washroom in our bus was always closed. We had to use the bushes 🙃

Feel of adventure with touch of care!
Great activity to do if you're feared of heights, it feels so safe and solid which helps you overcome the fear of height.
Great place of visit with young kids.
Car parking is located 6km east of the actual structure with free super comfy bus shuttle is available every 15 minutes.
Highly recommended place!

The famous Athabasca Glacier, a receding glacier, is the most popular destination in North America. Guided tours and hiking are available for visitors. The Icefield Parkway offers numerous stops such as Bow Lake, Columbia Icefield, Peyto Lake and Athabasca waterfalls with hiking trails. Most tourists drive an hour to the Peyto Lake viewing point before returning to Lake Louise. Although many people do not visit the lake itself, they walk up to its viewpoint to admire it from above.
Incredible Experience!
We booked the Columbia Icefield Adventure tour which allowed us to travel on a massive Ice Explorer to a Athabasca Glacier where we enjoyed walking on the Glacier and learned lots of interesting facts about this glacier.
It included Ice Explorer Tour on the Athabasca Glacier, admission to the Skywalk, and return transportation to the Glacier Discovery Centre. The ice explorer truck/vehicle was so impressive. The ride was fun and entertaining. It was a wonderful experience walking on the glacier. It was very cold and windy even in July and it was slippery too. So wear warm clothes and good shoes when visiting here.
Some people were collecting water in bottles and they were drinking it too. You can book the tickets online and in advance to avoid the line ups at the discovery centre.
Overall a must visit place when visiting Jasper and before its gone!! :)
Highly recommend!

The tour is amazing, Views are breathtaking and the bus driver was really amazing and informative. Our group totally enjoyed it.

Amazing, eye-catching location to enjoy nature at its best. One can see and enjoy glacier's view from quite near.
One very important thing to note, please wear proper thermals before visiting this place anytime of the year as no matter what the wind speed and the chill is quite high in this area.
Dhruv Gupta — Google review
Visited here during the month of July. Place was very busy. There is short steep hike to the foot of the glacier. It is sad to see how glacier has resided over the years. They have markers indicating where the foot of the glacier was based on the year. However it was a beautiful experience visiting the glacier. There are Glaciaer torus, which you have to book ahead of time.
Jayasimha Nuggehalli — Google review
One place you must visit before it’s all gone due to climate change!!! Stunning views of surrounding mountains and valley, the glacier can be visited through the tour services where you can book your way up there and experience a very special sight of blue and green crevices in the ice, drink glacier water and admire this stunning place!!!
Angelo Garcia — Google review
Went there in August, it was chilly but super gorgeous and nice! It’s a worth trying experience. Hurry, the glacier is melting super fast.
There are two ways to get there from the parking:
1) buy admission tickets - overpriced but lovely experience. Depending on the admission tickets, you can either hike or bus there with a guide.
2) you can hike to the glacier on your own from the parking place. Free but limited experience because there are safety fences that would stop you from hiking on the ice.
Both the experiences are great! All you need are hiking shoes for icy surface, warm clothes and plenty of water :)))
Enjoy!!!

Well worth a visit. Photos and recessional moraines show how fast the glacier is retreating. The snow vehicles are amazing, comfortable and warm. Guides are knowledgeable and help keep you from wondering off and falling down a crevasse (no chance of that if you stay within the flags). I filled my water bottle with glacial run off water after the guide said it was OK from a specific point where the water crops out of the glacier. Deliciously cold and refreshing.
David Nicholas — Google review
Very worth it to brace the cold and wind to see the glacier. Definitely bring a coat outside of Summer.
The sense of scale and the approach on a clear day is worth the trek!
Aaron Rogers — Google review
The air in this place is the cleanest i have ever breathed. I really recommend visiting this place. It is beautiful, has a lot of history about the retraction of the glacier and a nice trail. Remember to enjoy this visit!
Rasmus Birk Knudsen — Google review
Great tour of the ice field, gives you a perspective how fast the ice is melting, you can actually see it and taste it. There is a small stream where you can drink fresh cold glacier water. I just got a little disappointed because we were confined to a small area of the Glacier, but in the name of conservation and for our one safety rules have to be followed
Marco Cruz — Google review
Incredible experience! We went in July, and it was beautiful. Amazing to see the speed at which it is melting. Bring many layers! It was very very windy and the wind over the glacier is extra chilling. Make sure to bring your water bottle and taste the water!

We went after thanksgiving and turns out all tours end that weekend. Would have been great to go on the glacier but we did the short hike up to the bottom and it was nice to see something that is quickly disappearing.

Perfect, enchanting and mesmerizing place!
Our group fell in love with the views😍😍😍 to start with the tours are meticulously organised and the time is perfectly enough set. We had 30 minutes on the glacier and then as much as wanted on the skywalk, but till 7 pm when the last shuttle left.
One thing to take into account is that the restaurants are working till 6 pm only. So do take some regular snacks with you provided you want to stay till 7 pm😜😝😍

Remember to bring a beanie. The temperature here is 10degrees lower than the base lodge. The views are superb, breathtaking and reminds us to use less product and protect our beautiful natural landscape. Brewster did a great job on this tour.

Had a great time seeing glacier with family.
Known to be one of the three permanent glacier on earth.
Glacier is being receded over time though.
Definitely one of the most visitable places in Rockies.
You can walk up a bit on the glacier. But highly recommend taking the snow car? serviced by Columbia ice field

This has been my dream. I am not built for any sports. I have the weakest knees and lungs but this girl is a dreamer. Yes the hike was a struggle and there is a whole story of my journey. But we are here for the place because we could have different experiences. Not that mine was bad.
I usually post pictures and let the picture tell the story and for you to decide how amazing it is to walk on a glacier.

Here is a glacier you can walk to from a highway and astonishing how much it's retreated in just our lifetime. Wonderful views from Glacier View Lodge across but recommend walking if you are able or take the bus.
Sampath D — Google review
We drove here early in the morning to avoid potential crowds. There was lots of parking and public washrooms available.
We saw the melting glacier coming down in a small stream. There is a short, steep hike to get to the glacier, with markers and info plaques along the way showing the melting rate of the glacier. The actual glacier was fenced off
Worth a visit!

The Athabasca Glacier in Banff is a must-see natural wonder. Even if you only stop at the parking lot, the view is simply breathtaking. Its proximity to the highway makes it incredibly accessible, and I was able to capture an amazing photo. The sheer beauty of the glacier against the surrounding landscape is a sight to behold. Next time, I plan to take a walk and get even closer to this stunning piece of nature.

We booked the ice explorer tour to the glacier through pursuit. It was an amazing experience to ride those ginormous vehicles. Our tour guide Sebastian was warm and welcoming with a sense of humour.
The loaded onto the bus was the a bit long but everything else was very smooth and timely
It was very busy on the thanksgiving weekend
We were fortunate to get off the vehicles onto the glacier to snap some photos. It was very cold because of the freezing winds even on a sunny day. The ice was very slippery and quite a few people were falling down. Highly recommend wearing boots and winter wear for this adventure.

One of the highlights of my holiday. We went on an ice field explorer tour (on the giant bus) to get here. Incredible to think the glacier is 10,000 years old. And you get to drink some of the freshly melted water. The tour guides were great too. The memory of this glacier will stay with me forever.

Once in a lifetime experience, seeing up close the Glacier. The driver, aka guide, is super friendly! Would go back to do a half day hike in the glacier.
The Athabasca Falls, located on the Athabasca River, is renowned for its substantial water volume and the surrounding pine-forest landscape. While not the tallest waterfall in the Canadian Rockies at 23 meters high, it possesses immense power due to the glacial water forcefully passing through a narrow gorge. To safely observe and capture photos of the falls, there are platforms and walkways available; caution should be exercised as these areas can become slippery from spray.
One of the beautiful spots in Jasper national park . The trail is a very easy one with falls viewing points . Another trail to view the river was flooded and had to walk over some trees to reach the other side.
The place has picnic tables , toilets.

Breathtaking views, mistful walks & scenic beauties!
We enjoyed every bit of being there & kids had a lot of fun. Blend of mountains, tall trees & river crossing right in the middle made the visit memorable. It took us almost an hour to go around & it was hard to leave since we live to spend time close to nature.
We’ll be back soon before winter.

A very short detour off the road between Banff and Jasper. The falls is accessible from the parking and is only a couple of minutes walk. The water flow is heavy and the new between the canyon is not to be missed.

It is a relatively small waterfall. However, you can get so close up to the fall that it makes it feel special and unique.
I have seen Niagara falls many times but for some reason this small and tiny waterfall was more enjoyable.

It has all infrastructure for tourism, with parking lot, washrooms, signs, information about the falls. You have to walk along well-marked trails to see various parts of the waterfall. The place is really beautiful! It wasn't crowded when I went there, around 9am on friday, but there were a lot of people. The place receives buses with excursions.
We stayed for around 45 min and we didn't do the entire trail. At this time it is possible to see both sides of the waterfall and go down to see the lake where the waterfall reaches.

Just a quick stop off the road between Banff and Jasper, you'll find a hidden gem - the Athabasca Falls! It's super easy to access from the parking lot, just a short, couple of minutes' walk. You won't want to miss it, as the water flow is strong and the view of the canyon is simply breathtaking.
Prepare to be amazed by this stunning waterfall, and the best part is, you don't have to trek for hours to enjoy it. Within just 5 minutes of walking from the parking lot, you'll find yourself in front of this natural wonder. Trust me, it's one of the most beautiful waterfalls I've ever seen!
If you're planning a trip to or from Jasper, this place is an absolute must-visit. Don't pass up the opportunity to witness the sheer beauty of this waterfall and take in the mesmerizing surroundings. You won't regret it!

The Falls themselves are beautiful! There are several view points only a few minutes from the parking lot by feet. But don‘t expect to ne alone. I would recommend getting there quite early (before 9 am!). Otherwise there is no guarantee that there is any free parking space.

Gorgeous waterfalls.. water's power on full display just like how it shows in Niagara.. rock is not weak but water is powerful.. June will be the best month to visit... you will probably walk 1.6km if you cover all spots here.. parking is very close to the waterfalls and the washrooms were not very clean but I guess they are not used properly by washroom visitors..

Very crowded but a beautiful stop to make. We almost skipped it but I'm so glad we didn't. The walk from the parking area to the falls is so short, so our 2 year old easily managed. Stayed for about 45 minutes reading plaques and taking photos.

What a great stopping point along the Icefields Parkway. There is a large parking area (including RV parking) with public bathrooms. There is a short, paved, flat trail to the falls, so it is easily accessible by all. Lots of water funnels into a small canyon. Great viewing points. Worth a stop.

My wife and I had a great time visiting this waterfall. Being so close and experiencing the falls from the viewing areas was a highlight. There was much more to see as we made our way along the paths. Very busy lots of tour buses which is to be expected. Another great memory for us.

Truly speaking an average waterfall (compared to many other river falls around the world) on the Athabasca river. Super easy to visit, a quick walk, and crowded.

It's a wonderful cascade with a big mountain in the background. A quick 5 min walk, the viewing area is rather tight but you will able to take your photos with a little patience. Do check out the other spots that lead on from the main spot. Late afternoon, close to sunset was a nice time to visit with the waterfalls in shadow and the mountain in warm light. Regular footwear is sufficient.

Beautiful scenery, I saw lots of people just stopping to get a picture by the entrance, but if you have time, walk the short trail nearby and go down to the river as well!

Nice place to visit while in Jasper. Liked view than other falls as you’ll see mountain just behind the waterfall

Time to trip back from Jasper on Sep 11, 2023. 1st stop from Lake Maligne to Motel David Thompson. Strongly felt how powerful the flowing water can be. It simply pushes away, carves or cuts everything in its way, although it takes time. Same feeling at Natural Bridge and Maligne Canyon.
Located in Jasper National Park, Maligne Canyon is a picturesque limestone gorge that stretches for 50 meters. It is widely regarded as the most captivating canyon in the Canadian Rockies. Hiking along the Maligne River offers stunning waterfalls and breathtaking scenery throughout. The name "Maligne" refers to the turbulent waters that flow from a lake above and merge with the Athabasca River below, giving it a sense of danger or wickedness.
Gorgeous view! Easy hike to the first and second bridges. We went early April, just missed the ice tours season in the canyon, but still worth the side trip to see this deep canyon! The pictures don’t do it justice, it’s impossible to show the scale of the depth!

Incredibly gorgeous scenic trail with plenty of pretty falls. You will fall in love with this place instantly. The trail is an easy 4.4km/2.74 miles round loop that is very kid and dog friendly. Going to the 5th bridge can get a bit muddy and you'll be attacked by lots of mosquitoes at that point. Trail is a bit crowded, the further you go, the less crowded it gets.

Beautiful frozen falls!! We booked a tour in the last week of March 2023. They provided us a helmet, water proof winter boots and ice cleats. It is best to follow a tour guide because you have no idea what it looks like while walking along the canyon. We were so lucky to walk/hike through the bottom of the canyon at this time of the year. It was great experience. My daughter (6yr) was able to hike along the canyon, walked along the river, some time sliding down the ice. Absolutely we are coming back for summer time to see the differences.

We went to Maligne Canyon in January and we had an amazing day of hiking! Everything about this canyon is breathtaking! If you happen to go during the winter season, I would recommend wearing winter hiking boots with very good traction or ice crampons. The trails were very icy. However, don't let the winter season stop you from going. There were hardly anyone on the trails when we went and the scenery is so beautiful in the winter. A must see!

Maligne Canyon in Jasper National Park is a must-see for nature lovers. It's the deepest canyon in the park, reaching over 50 meters in certain spots. Hikers of all levels can explore it by crossing six bridges. The Second Bridge offers a stunning view from its 50-meter height. The trail provides breathtaking scenery and a chance to immerse yourself in the beauty of the Canadian Rockies. Don't miss this remarkable natural landmark!

This canyon walk/hike is beautiful. Definitely worth visiting. Majestic views of canyon. If you can get a guide, that would be great. They explain so much. Just gorgeous

Very nice place ! there are lots of small bridges that you can explore. Moderating Trekking, but make sure you have water with you. Perfect place for mountain and nature lover people. Don’t worry about the parking because there is dedicated parking area and it is quite large. MUST VISIT PLACE :)

I’d never been in the winter before. Frozen waterfalls and water worn canyons were amazing. There are three different trail loops. Doing the first two were quite easy even without the proper shoes. Spiked shoes are a must to go on the longer trail.

Absolutely gem of a place to be at. So calm and relaxing place nourishes the mind body and soul. Great views throughout the walk. It is a long walk if you want to cover the whole canyon. The tracks are very clearly marked just make sure you carry the map, that helps tremendously to decide and discover the path.
Dhaivat Trivedi — Google review
Well this was a great experience, we did the trails and also walked the Canyon, it was all iced, the views were spectacular. There were thick sheet of ice and the falls were completely frozen. The ice has started to melt and hence this trek got a little difficult, so please be extremely cautious and don't forget the cleats. This is a must see attraction. Please like my review if you find it helpful.

Easy hike trail, easy to navigate through GPS. Beautiful place to visit. But I would rather come when it is more quiet and peaceful without too many visitors. Come early in the morning to get the most benefit of this place. Don't forget to stop at Maligne Canyon sight seeing where you could see the Athabasca valley. Overall, a great experience.

Great ice walk through the canyon, all kit supplied as part of the booking, boots, cleats and helmets. The tour guide was fab and the frozen waterfalls are breathtaking. Tasty lunch also supplied.
Nathan Appleby — Google review
It was a great experience and I wish I had done my usual research. This would have led me to bring my crampons, from home and I would have been able to walk longer. I might come back in the summer so I can enjoy both the winter and summer hiking.

Stunning view. Easy to hike. If you bike here. I recommend parking at fifth bridge and hiking along trail 7 ( river side). Then go back to fifth bridge by trail 7h.
Joanne Lin — Google review
Decent hike, trails are maintained at time of visit. Some good views but it's not much more than that. After the 3rd bridge we turned back to go, other visitors were doing the same. After the 2nd bridge you don't get anything you haven't seen already other than a big hike if that is what your after.
Andrew Picken — Google review
This is a trail where you start at the top and go down. In this case what goes down must come back up.
The trail is marked in sections by the bridges you cross. The main parking and visitor centre is at the top and the trail is paved with fences and stairs. The path as far as the fourth bridge is steep but wide and paved with a lot of stairs.
My wife and I started on this path together. Both of us being in our 70s, I made the chivalrous gesture of climbing the stairs to get the car. I instructed my wife to continue down the trail to the fifth bridge while I climbed the stairs and there is a parking area at the fifth bridge where I would meet her. I told her to take lots of pictures because I wanted to be able to see what I missed.
It had been drizzling all day but as I said the trail was very good and neither of us anticipated any problems. I turned back at the third bridge to get the car. It was only a short distance to the fourth bridge and then over a kilometre to the fifth bridge.
After climbing the many stairs to reach the top I drove around to the fifth bridge and she was not there yet. I waited half an hour and finally heard from her. She had had a very bad experience as the trail beyond the fourth bridge had turned into a narrow muddy footpath.
They really should have had warning signs particularly in the wet conditions. My wife had a terrifying experience from the fourth bridge on.
When I finally saw her coming she was about to break down in tears. However she looked so pitiful covered in mud that I started laughing and that turned her tears into laughter as well.

Impressive canyon with a series of roaring waterfalls channeling through its narrow canyon walls. The most scenery is hiking from bridges 1 to 4. Bridge one is a little tricky to find as it starts behind the tea house area from the parking lot. It’s got a great view though so don’t miss it. Bridges 5 and 6 are farther away and can be driven to. The scenery though with these two bridges is not as impressive.

Spectacular canyon, worth the visit. Canyon has 6 levels and if you have the time try to walk them all but you’ll need a few hours. Make sure you have good walking shoes as the trail can be slippery if wet .The wilderness kitchen is also nice to sit for lunch , great atmosphere with a lovely open fire.
Terry Ross — Google review
This year, we went both in summer and winter time and both times it was beautiful. It has a total 6 bridges and it’s all downhill. Doable for families but is not very accessible for strollers or wheelchair. The canyon walk in winter is absolutely stunning.
Jharna Muhammad Rafiq — Google review
This natural wonder is truly fascinating. The highlight of the trail lies between bridges 1 to 5. Particularly, the segment from bridge 4 to 5 showcases an awe-inspiring water color that is simply amazing. Although the trail is short, be prepared for a bit of an up and down journey. It’s a small adventure that’s well worth the effort.

It's more of a steep and deep creek than a canyon, with a well maintained trail (railings, fence, stairs etc. for the most part) and spectacular views to enjoy at any time of the season.

Maligne Canyon, located in Jasper National Park, Canada, is a natural wonder renowned for its dramatic limestone walls, rushing waterfalls, and mesmerizing turquoise pools. Its narrow, winding pathways make for an exhilarating hike, and in winter, the frozen ice formations create a stunning icy wonderland. It's a must-visit for nature enthusiasts.
Ivy W — Google review
We did this walk in June, after a day of unexpected snow fall. The path was slippery, but the snow gave extra appeal to the colors of the rocks/canyon and the river. The canyon is very narrow and deep in the beginning of the hike, so up to the third bridge you can hardly see the river. From the fourth bridge on the view and the canyon widens.
Jo Dejonckheere — Google review
We came at the end of March, and the canyon still looked great! Unfortunately the full trail was really icy and snowy which made it really hard to hike. Apart from that great trail and highly recommend!
Patricia Lake is a picturesque alpine lake located in the Canadian Rockies. The lake offers tranquil waters for kayaks and canoes, forested paths and mountain views. In the summertime, it is especially popular as a campsite destination with canoe rentals available.
Been there twice and both times it was an awe-experience. Such a serenity! It's hard to part with it. I keep going back to it in mind do often. Want to visit it again

Very stunning and breathtaking views of Pyramid mountain around the lake. Water was clear. Parking is available but the lot is very small. Walk to the lake is not far from parking lot. Lake is surrounded by the mountains and forest. Views are amazing. You can cover this lake and Pyramid Lake in same day trip.
A must visit place when visiting Banff and Jasper!!
Highly recommend!!

A really beautiful Lake about a 45 minute walk from Jasper, with its clear water and stunning surroundings, it is easy to see why it is a very popular Lake to visit for tourists on the way to pyramid Lake, mainly due to the easy access by car. If you walk here, bring bear spray. Lake freezes Iver in the winter.

A very nice lake to take a canoe on and paddle around. Parking unfortunately is rather sparse and it can get quite busy. They have different types of watercraft and the only motorized is an electric boat which is nice for keeping it peaceful. We took a canoe out for an hour and that was plenty. They also have kayaks, paddle boats, row boats and a motorized family carrier.

Another beautiful lake within 5 minutes of Downtown Jasper. The crystal clear waters of the lake are worth viewing during clear days.
The Jasper SkyTram in Jasper National Park is a popular activity that offers a unique and convenient way to reach the summit of Whistlers mountain. An onboard guide provides information about the breathtaking scenery during the 7-8 minute ascent to a height of 7,425 ft. Once at the top, visitors can explore hiking trails and a boardwalk in the alpine zone of the Canadian Rockies.
Definitely worth it even though a bit expensive. It is a 7 min ride one way. The view is breathtaking. Guides are very knowledgable and helpful. There is also a restaurant, cafe and gift shop at the top. Its a great place to enjoy the beauty of Jasper.
Sayana Veliyil Renny — Google review
Fantastic experience with magnificent views. We were allowed to bring our small dog with us ($6 extra fee). He loves heights and looking down on things. The hike to the top of the summit was a bit strenuous given the steepness of the slope but there are lots of rest spots along the way. There are also some viewing platforms and a small boardwalk at the upper terminal with spectacular views if you chose to not do the hike to the summit. I bought tickets online the evening before and it was a smooth transaction. We got a small discount for our early morning trip. Nice snack shop and restaurant at the top, with a small gift shop. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable, gave interesting talk on way up. The tram was not too crowded in the early morning. This is probably one of the best activities to do in Jasper with a big “Wow” factor. Highly recommended.

That place is something you must go. The view is amazing once you're up there.
Temperature is colder than down the city, so maybe get something warm. The hiking is a great experience, not for thoses with physical limitations.
Totally worth the ride there and pay to get at nearly the top of the gondola. After, there is easily more than 1 kilometer of hiking you can do to reach the top of mount Whistler at 2464m.
A experience for everyone you shouldn't miss.
David Tremblay — Google review
Amazing place to see the glorious rockies and Athabasca River. The tram itself is smooth with not a lot of bumps. Takes about 7.5 minutes to reach the top. The top has some spectacular views of the mountains, valleys, river, and town of Jasper. There is a gift shop and restaurant with cool 270-degree views. We enjoyed our time in the skytram and at the top. The boardwalk and hike were doable as well. Again, the views... It's just too good. They do allow strollers on the tram, and you could use the boardwalk to take a shortwalk on the mountain. Definitely recommend booking in advance and making it on time. They have ice cream shop and cafe at the start of the tram as well.

Loved it! I recommend the snow shoes, or bring your own cleats. It’s definitely a bit steep 1/2 way up if you choose to go to the summit.
The ride up was quick in the tram

Must say sometimes the nature has different plans but was glad to find out the apps are also sometimes doesn't comply much with the weather forecast said by one of the employees though we didn't really check the weather as we booked our tickets previously.
Just wanted to have the cable car experience with kids and well kids still loved it but little clearer view would have been more awesome but we still enjoyed the white snowy covered view in the whole travel time. I might add some pictures after as my wife takes an active part looking through a lense and must say she surely takes better pictures than me. It's a fun ride to be in and we will surely be back in the summer.

I was so nervous about doing this, especially after being hit with that snowstorm. Hands down the most spectacular views ever! We were literally right in the clouds at eye level with the mountain peaks! Not only were the views out of this world, the staff were absolutely fantastic! We will never forget this part of our out west adventure! A must-add to your bucket list!! Photos taken June 2023.

Approximately 7 mins ride to reach the upper station where the view of the town site was amazing.
Traveling with 2 young kids, and being physically unfit, we did not complete the hike to the summit. Temperature was definitely cooler up there and a lot windier.
In hindsight, we could have completed the hike if we had booked the return in 3 hours instead.
We did not prebook as the weather was quite unpredictable the days before, so took our chances on a clear day and had to wait for approx 1hr for the flight.

Lifetime experience on this highest tram in Canada with a seven and half minute flight. The staff on the tram give you a good narrative of what you see outside as you go up. An amazing walk on the mountain top. Wear layers while up there as it can get real windy. When we were up there the temp was lower by 8 degC as compared to the base station
Deepak Palvankar — Google review
This landmark attraction was worth visiting. It has nice picnic areas at the base station, and clean washrooms. I went during an off peak season in October, and was able to get tram tickets with no issue. If it was busier you will want to book tickets ahead of time. The view is great riding the tram to the top and also at the station at the top. You might want to stand near the back on the way up and in the front on the way down for better photo views. The cafe at the top station was a nice place to hang out to rest. The hike to the Whistlers summit can be strenuous, you will want to have hiking shoes, water and hiking poles if possible. For older folks they may need to take frequent breaks going to the true summit, as it can be steep plus higher elevation. The false summit is less strenuous and still provides nice photos and views. Overall it was an interesting attraction, while tickets were slightly pricey, it was worth the price.

It was such an incredible experience, the views were stunning and there wasn't a long wait for the boarding of the Tram. The service was quick, and amazing. The crew had incredible knowledge to share especially if you get Patrick as one of the guides. Great experience. Just make sure you trust how the system works because this might not be pleasant to someone who is afraid of heights.
The operators are very knowledgeable and give you a nice description of what you are seeing on your way up & down. The staff is really friendly. Extra hike at the top of the mountain but make sure to pace yourself (oxygen available to breathe is reduced).

Be prepared for a long wait for departure! But the beauty up there worth the waiting. Parking is available. We were there weekend probably would be less crowded weekdays.

Exploring Jasper from a different perspective was an absolute blast! A group of us hopped on a 7-minute tram ride that whisked us to the top of the mountain, offering breathtaking views along the way. After days of hiking, it was the perfect respite we needed to rejuvenate
There's a delightful little cafe at the base of the tram and a shop at the summit where we all bought neatly designed stickers. The cafe served up some of the most incredible coffee.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of this experience. It allowed me to me to see the town of Jasper and the miles of surrounding mountainous terrain in a whole new light.

What an amazing adventure and bucket list view of the mountains. Breath taking and surreal.
Several items on the website were not available and our waitress was not very knowledgeable on the available menu items. When asked a question she responded very rudely and walked away. Took her 25 minutes to bring 2 Ceasers to our table that we could see sitting on the bar for 20 of those 5 minutes. There was less then 30 people sitting to eat with several other servers. She constantly would shake her head in disgust every time she left a customers table. Super unwelcoming. Other then the incredible view and hike, would not go again.
Experience = 5 stars
Service = 2 stars
Even the gondola conductors had better customer service.

So glad we took the Skytram up Whistlers Summit. The "flight" takes about 7 minutes. Once at the top, you have absolutely gorgeous views of Jasper and the surrounding area. At around 60 CAD per person round trip, it isn't cheap but is totally worth it. We went in early October. There were still many visitors due to thanksgiving weekend, and we needed to wait an hour for our flight after we bought tickets. Return time is pre-booked when you buy tickets, but you can come down earlier if there is space on the tram.

100% must do while in Jasper! The ride itself is a chill smooth 7 minutes and the employee along is knowledgeable and can answer anything you want to know.
We went on a cloudy day and breaking through the clouds on the way up was beautiful.
Once you're up the hike to the summit can take you anywhere from 30 mins - 1hr depending on your pace and the conditions. Mid October there is already snow.
The view at the false summit and summit are just incredible and it's a perfect spot for a special moment.
We didn't go to the restaurant but did get a nice skytram magnet for the memories.

This park is a vast protected area with hiking, camping, fishing, and more. The mountain is famous for being the highest and most prominent in the Canadian Rockies. It's also home to a provincial park with 536 acres of pristine wilderness.

It's one of the most beautiful part of the yellow head highway drive towards BC. There are a few shops for travellers and tourist to patronize. Also several areas for photo lovers.
Ensure your vehicle is in good shape as help may not come as quickly as you desire if needed.
Cellular network signals are very poor around these area due to the mountains.
Ensure your vehicle has enough gas to avoid disappointment. Not many gas stations are available around the mountain.

Mount Robson Provincial Park is nestled in the Canadian Rocky Mountains & it one of British Columbia’s gems. Like other Mountain Parks, including Jasper, Banff & Radium Hot Springs, there are rivers, forests & canyons to explore. You can canoe, hike, kayak, & standup paddle board in the warmer months.
The Rocky Mountains boast mammoth lakes that resemble the inland seas that French novelist Jules Verne (1828-1905) wrote about in Journey to the Centre of the Earth. Please be careful when on the water, especially if you are a novice in watercraft travel. The weather can change quickly, & gentle waves could turn into white horses bouncing you.
You might find Yellowhead Lake safer than Moose. One resident who had not seen the ocean until adulthood said Moose Lake was a sea swept by the forces of nature. Consider bringing supplies such as bear spray, a bucket, extra dry clothing & a life jacket, a waterproof phone, a wet bag & a whistle etc. The bucket can help to bail out water.
Is your seating comfortable? Do you need to upgrade it with portable seating designed for watercraft. Time on a vessel can be tough when you sit for long periods so your seating is important.
Please stay close to the shore, especially if this type of travel is unfamiliar to you. Crossing from one side to the lake to the other can be a hazardous route, so it’s crucial to consistently check the weather conditions. Additionally, informing others of your anticipated arrival and return times is highly recommended.

I come here every summer when I can. One of the most amazing trails on Earth. If you only have a couple of hours, a trip to Kinney Lake is well worth it. If you have a couple of days, the trip to Berg Lake (and Snowbird Pass) are breathtaking. Must book a loooooooooooong time in advance.

Honestly the berg lake trail is one of the nicest hikes I've done. We went up to emperor falls and back (32km+) in one day, and although it was totally worth it it was quite heave on the knees. I recommend everyone to do the hike, as I can only imagine what Berg lake itself will look like, but make sure you got a few days time so you can appreciate it in all it's glory without having to walk around with a knee brace for a week after 😉

I like the park a lot. The sites are nice and quiet and private. There are two showers in Robson meadows campground for women and a family shower there too. And the flushing toilet is good. The visitor center is very nice. I also went to the cafe every morning for coffee. They have a lot of tasty treats and lunch items and snacks, drink and ice cream and wine. everything looked nice and cute in the cafe and staff were very nice. The Berg Lake trail and a few other trails are all closed. Left only the fraser river nature walk and the outlander falls and a trail from visitor center to the top of a hill. Maybe there are a couple other ones I didn't go. But the trail from visitor center was really nice. Here are a few pictures from the summit.

One of my favorite provincial parks in all of Canada. Sadly the best trail in the park, the Berg Lake Trail, is closed until probably 2025 due to significant damage from flooding and landslides. There are 7 campgrounds along this trail for backcountry camping in many different environments. Reservations are required for all of them. Hopefully some improvements will be made as they make the needed repairs although compare to back country sites in the US, these are already far superior. Many have cooking shelters established and pit toilets.

So, I wonder if you can play video, give recommendations, etc in the center and give hikers more info and guidance where to go and what to expect?? Just a thought.

Wells Gray was on my bucket list. We drove 3 hours and I was so excited. We stopped at the information building to pick up a brochure and map (you definitely need this). Our first stop was Spahats Falls, the closest Falls. We parked and had to change our of our shorts and sandals into warmer clothes. By the time we finished changing it started to pour rain. We tried waiting it out but it didn't let up for hours. So we went back home. Grrrrr. We were unable to get a hotel for a decent price due to the Terry Fox run that was happening. So we will go back as soon as we get the chance.

Helmcken Falls is an impressive waterfall situated in Wells Gray Provincial Park, Canada. It stands at a height of 141 meters, making it the fourth tallest waterfall in the country. The park has a total of 41 waterfalls, and Helmcken Falls is undoubtedly one of the most popular attractions for tourists. Visitors can easily view the majestic waterfall from a well-maintained parking lot and viewing platform nearby that overlooks the canyon below.

The crown jewel of wells gray. Helmcken falls is among the most beautiful falls in the world. The falls is only a short walk from the parking lot. Helmcken falls is an absolutely amazing place and always worth a stop.

It was amazing in winter. The last 10 km road was fully covered with snow. (We travelled on Feb 29) So it’s good to go on snow tires. The view is a short walk from the parking lot.

Well worth the drive up to see these, and such a short walk from the parking lot. It takes little to no effort to get to these falls and be completely blown away by these fall. You can see the mist from the falls be pushed back up higher than the falls themselves. The sight and sounds are awesome and stunning

🌟🌲 A Natural Marvel Worth Witnessing! 🌲🌟
Helmcken Falls in BC is an absolute gem that has left me awestruck! This majestic waterfall, nestled within the breathtaking Wells Gray Provincial Park, is a true masterpiece of nature's beauty. Standing before the thundering cascade, I was humbled by the sheer force and elegance of the water plummeting down the rugged cliffs.
The trail leading to Helmcken Falls offers an invigorating journey through lush forests and captivating vistas. The anticipation builds with each step, and the payoff is beyond imagination. As you approach the viewing platform, the mist caresses your skin, and the sound of crashing water echoes through the canyon — a sensory symphony that's impossible to forget.
Whether you're an avid nature lover, a photography enthusiast, or simply seeking a moment of serenity, Helmcken Falls will not disappoint. The pristine wilderness surrounding the falls adds to its allure, making it a must-visit destination for both locals and travelers alike.
Prepare to be transported to a realm where the power of nature takes center stage, leaving you in awe of the Earth's wonders. Helmcken Falls has etched itself into my heart, and I can't wait to return to this awe-inspiring masterpiece of nature's creation.

Nice big waterfalls double the hieght of Niagara falls. Just 50 minutes from clearwater and its worth visiting.

This waterfall is truly magnificent and is worth the trip to Wells Gray if you’re from the Lower Mainland! There’s a viewpoint 2 minutes away from the parking lot at the end of Helmcken Road. Come with bug spray and you’re set for the day 😊

It is so beautiful. You can drive all the way up to the falls and it’s barely a 2 minute walk to the viewpoint.

Thunderous falls! Simply breathtaking. 45 minute commute from clear water. Certainly the biggest and the baddest out of the 20 falls. Parking lot 2 minutes away from viewing platform. Information plaques provided.
George Barnes — Google review
This waterfall is huge! Pictures don't do it justice. The spray from the water has eroded the rock, carving a giant bowl-like shape behind the falls. You have to come listen to the sound and see its beauty for yourself :) this is probably the shortest walk to view a waterfall in the whole park.
Tay Canuel — Google review
This is undoubtedly the coolest waterfall I have ever seen! It's as if it came straight out of a fantasy movie, with a setting that makes you imagine a dragon living nearby or in the dark carved-out part of the fall. The fall is ten times better than what you see in the pictures.
However, please note that finding it might be a bit challenging since there is no service (data) detectable in the area, and our Google Maps was not working. I highly recommend planning ahead for navigation before heading here!

Well worth the drive! Beautiful and unique waterfalls. The viewing platform is really close to the carpark, so it is an easy walk to this amazing experience. The drive from Highway 5 is around 35km.

Amazing. We visit these amazing falls at least once a year. The hike in from the south side is quite nice and absolutely worth it. The unrestricted view of the falls is breathtaking. If you are able to hike in, I highly recommend it. Take your time as the path can be uneven in parts ... there are tree roots and rocks that can trip you up but aside from one or two small hills the hike is mostly flat.

Sun Peaks, a charming village nestled in British Columbia, Canada, is home to the expansive Sun Peaks Resort. This picturesque destination, incorporated in 2010, sits just 55 kilometers northeast of Kamloops and approximately 410 kilometers from Vancouver. As Canada's second largest ski resort, it boasts over 4,270 acres of skiable terrain spread across three mountains.
The BC Wildlife Park is a vast animal rehabilitation and zoo facility that houses various animals indigenous to the area, such as arctic wolves and grizzly bears. Visitors can enjoy breathtaking views of Kamloops Lake, go bird watching or hiking in Salmon Arm. The wildlife park also features an impressive Wild Lights display showcasing illuminated dragons, arches and dinosaurs. Don't miss the train journey for just one dollar, where you might wonder how Santa and his reindeers stay atop the mountain.
I absolutely adore this park! The staff always radiate happiness and extend a warm welcome to visitors. The entire facility is meticulously maintained, ensuring a clean and pleasant environment. As for the animals, they appear genuinely content within their enclosures. The park's commitment to enrichment and providing cozy hiding spots truly stands out.
One of my favorite experiences is attending the delightful bird shows . The petting zoo boasts an impressive variety of animals, making it a must-visit.
But here's the real gem: the Christmas Light Up event. It's nothing short of remarkable! As a Kamloops resident, I find myself returning to this magical place at least once a month. It's simply that good!
Crystal Skelly — Google review
I went here only for the wild lights and it was quite amazing to experience. Got some of my favorite pictures and could see very few animals. Beautiful train journey though. Always keep one dollar for the train. Wondered how they kept the Santa and reindeers on top of the mountain. Loved the detailing in that also to include Rudolph the RED NOSE REINDEER. Illuminated dragon was really good so was the arch and dinosaurs. Overall a great experience.

Good way to kill a day with the little ones. Bunch of different rescue animals to check out. Even got a train that does a couple loops of the park. Worst part was a cheeseburger I ordered that I'm pretty sure wasn't meat(it was grey and slimy and tasted like freezer burnt cardboard) It inevitably found its way to the garbage after 2 bites. So if you eat at the Cafe order the wraps and not the burgers.

Loved it, it was a really fun experience! Each animal exhibit had lots of interesting information about that animal, the train ride was super fun, the park was really clean, and the gift shop had lots of cool things (I bought several items)! Loved spending the day here, I would visit again!

We always have a great time. Recommend getting there early, opens at 930.
We absolutely love seeing the birds of prey, and the grizzlies are always putting on a show. The kids love the park and the sprinkler park. Bring a blanket and picnic and set up on the big grassy lawn!
We also go every year around New Years for the Wild lights display

The admission was decent and they had a lot of different animals. Still was a bit disappointed to not being able to see the polar bears. I really liked the three legged Canadian Lynx they have here. Most of the cages are quite large and allow ample space to see the animal, specially the further in you go where they have the herbivores.

Didn't get to see some animals as they were sleeping which is understandable.
Commendable rescue work!
Too many animals to list! Grizzly bear and cougar are there!

Really cool place! All the animals are rescues or rehabs. Seems the habitats are a little overgrown but we still saw the grizzlies, the kermodes bears, cougar, wolves, fox, elk, rams, mountain goats and so much more in the 1.5 hr we were there. Go early to beat the heat!

Always a fantastic experience at the Wild Animal Park. The staff are very friendly, the facilities are amazing, and we always enjoy viewing the many animals at the park. Always an educational and enjoyable experience and every single visit offers something just a little bit different! ... Gets better every time we visit! The Grizzlies were very active today and Uncle Chris the Clown seems to have become a regular at the park and the kids love taking a break and enjoying his antics! ... ... Wild Lights are also fantastic! Highly recommend an evening walk through the park!

Great place for kids and everyone to learn about the wildlife animals. Our kids loved all the exhibits. Since we were here on a hot August day, many of the animals were not out and visible. However, we did get to see the grizzlies which was most exciting for the kids. As well as the train ride, which was only $1 per ticket (bring cash).
Nice playground area for the kids. Lots of picnic tables in shaded areas. Friendly and helpful staff. Animals are well taken care of.

It’s a great wildlife zoo, very educational for kids and everyone to learn things about wildlife animals. During the time we went I guess was a bit too hot so some of animals hide inside, however we did see lots of animals. Make sure to get on the train for a quick tour it’s only a buck per person, what a deal. Overall, it’s a place you should visit if you are nearby the area.

Worthwhile. This is great for adults and children alike with a lot of interesting information available on many animals.
Got to see Clover the Spirit Bear, which was great, but also many other beautiful creatures living their lives in what appeared to be very nice, well-maintained and thoughtful conditions

Its natural content makes the environment beautiful and attractive. The wildlife sanctuary contains a variety of animals. Anyone visiting Kamloops should check this place out. There is ample parking space on site. It contains bears, wolves, eagles, foxes and other animals. It also has a playground for children. The employees are humble and sincere.
Riverside Park in Kamloops is a verdant oasis that offers a range of outdoor activities throughout the year. This urban green space features a sandy public beach along the river, recreational paths for walking and biking, as well as seasonal music and food events. Visitors can also enjoy amenities like washroom facilities, playgrounds, tennis courts and an off-leash dog park by the river.
Such a beautiful park in the core of Kamloops. There is even an off leash dog park by the river. The trail winds all along the river. It’s a beautiful walk and, for us, a perfect time of year.

The park is very beautiful. The children's playground and facilities are amazing. The game types are unique and fun. Unlike other places, I was surprised by the disciplined behavior of the children. What saddened me the most in this place was that I saw adults smoking cigarettes irresponsibly among many children. It is appropriate for the park staff to follow up and stop such behavior. Apart from this, the management and cleanliness of the park is also unique.

Thoroughly enjoyed this park. My wife and I were staying at the Delta hotel downtown and it was a short walk to this park. It was a hot day and we came here at about 10 pm for a nice walk around the park. There are washroom facilities available here. There is a spray park, riverside beach, walking trails, playground and tennis courts. If you’re looking for a great park in Kamloops this is the place for you.

I was on my way back from Revelstoke and found this park near the beach. This park is recommended for everyone. There are picnic tables, a playground for the kids and you can go out swimming too but there are limits on how far you can go. It's also close to nice restaurants so you don't have to far to find something to eat.

A shining example of a modern playground: rope structures, swings, rubberized ground, zip lines and musical instruments. Where this playground excels is the accessible features which include teeter totters, a merry-go-round and swings/zip line! Also, the splash park is single handedly the best splash park I've ever been to.

Lots of history to learn, all the hosts there were very informative and entertaining from the blacksmith to the Inkeeper, stagecoach driver and everyone involved in each exhibit. The gold panning was especially fun for all ages. Highly recommend this for all ages, a good way to spend a day.

The campsites with power are limited but there is a lot of space in the field with no power. There is no shade in the campground so it can be extremely hot. There is a small playground and clean bathrooms + showers but they're a bit of a walk from the RV area. The historic ranch was fantastic to explore with kids, it's great they can touch items and explore. The wagon ride was fun and the kids loved all the farm animals.

Decided to visit for the first time after reading great reviews. Upon buying the tickets I asked what time the stagecoach ride would be at. I was told the stagecoach wasnt available as the driver quit and the only other person who could provide the ride only worked part time and wasn't available. Was disappointing because that was one of the things we were looking forward to.
Other than that it is a beautiful, well kept historical site.

I absolutely don't understand why you water grassland during the day while temperatures soar to 36°C and higher.
It does not make any difference as the water evaporates instantly.

Stayed at the family cabins and had a lovely experience. Such a great price for what you get and a great place to stop along the way to the interior.
I did however find the service sub par in comparison to over the years. Paid $70 for the family admission and didn't get a tour at the road house as we had in the past. They kind of sat around and wouldn't interact unless prompted. Another couple walked in about half way through walking ourselves through the house and seemed a bit annoyed and asked the people to give them a tour, and the employees didn't seem all too enthusiastic.
That being said, the interpretive first nations set up across from the road house was fabulous. They were very keen to show and educate us on everything there. If the house had their level of enthusiasm and interaction I would have given 5 stars
They also didn't have the stage coach going when we arrived (and it was a cool day not more than 23 degrees and breezy) the next morning the horses were never hooked up either. I feel the website was a bit misleading and led to disappointment in regards with what to expect would be included in admission price

My visit was an included stop at Hat Creek through a bus tour Not only did I enjoy browsing the gift store (and bought some beautiful artwork cards there) I thoroughly enjoyed a refreshing cool drink and a wonderful sausage roll for morning tea! If I were traveling this way again, I would stop and spend a longer time viewing what the Ranch may further have to offer - it's a beautiful location, and wonderful flower baskets adorn the main buildings.

4 of us paid the fee for entry which included the stage coach ride and an introduction to the historic Hat Creek Roadhouse. Those workers were all sitting in the roadhouse visiting and you had to interrupt them for info. We were all very disappointed. There was no one at the native interpretive centre.
Had been to the ranch several years ago and it was a great experience so took our summer company there.

Basic, functional and clean cabins at a reasonable price. Better than staying in the dumpy hotel in Cache Creek! Definitely not luxury, but bed was comfortable and shower was great. Also had a small fridge and coffee machine in cabin.

Resort for rafting, rock climbing & mountain biking, plus basic lodging in teepees & cabins.
The team at Kumsheen Rafting is second to none. Did a six hour power rafting work trip that had all the potential to be less than perfect. Weather was rainy, water freezing but none of that mattered.
We had an amazing time, more fun that anticipated. Taija and the safety crew were great, Bethany took incredible pictures and even our bus driver was an awesome guy. Would recommend rafting with
Kumsheen to anyone. The resort itself was picturesque with mountains, tee pee’. The Cutting Board restaurants stayed open for us as we arrived later than anticipated.
Food was good and breakfast is exactly what you need before a long day on the rapids.

Highly recommend their canvas tents for a very cute and comfortable stay! We enjoyed our cabin and our dinner as well. Hot tub was open for a nice wind down, and we were even walked to dinner by the resident cat. They've got an awesome set of swings in the cabin area that has awesome views of the canyon beyond. We hope to stay here longer than one night on our next trip through and get to raft as well!

We took the family here in 2020 during Covid, and we've booked another trip for Summer of 2023. The power rafting was extremely fun and well worth doing ... so long as you hold on tight, you'll love the experience. The facilities were also really good, although we didn't experience the restaurant which was closed at the time. Some family stayed in an old fashioned canvas cabin which are clean and nice. They also have nice bathroom facilities, fire pits and a good-sized pool. Lytton is still rebuilding from the fires and was a cute small town with beautiful surroundings - it's hot as heck in July and August.

What a wonderful experience! We weren’t exactly sure what we were in for, as we’re definitely out-of-towners, but we wanted a unique Canadian adventure! Kumsheen did not disappoint. A bit off the beaten path and a tad remote to get to, but so worth it, and a beautiful drive too!
Driving up to the lovely resort entrance and being welcomed by such a warm, friendly and professional crew was just the start. We started with a great lunch, then donned the appropriate attire: wetsuits provided by Kumsheen, and (sunscreen, bathing suits, sturdy water shoes) and set out on a short bus ride to a sandy beach a ways up the Thompson River. At the raft entry location we spent a bit of time learning about the what-ifs and how to be cautious and give reverence to the mighty water.
Elliott and his knowledgeable colleagues really go above and beyond to make you feel safe and that you’re in great hands! Quite literally, the guide has to understand and know things, that well…we just don’t know! That level of comfort is hard to achieve and it was a great reassurance for someone like me, a gal who likes to be in control at all times. Well done!
Riding those waves and feeling the unpredictable intensity of Mother Nature is a feeling like nothing else! I have to admit I was a little scared, but that too is something I don’t always experience, and so it was fun to live on the edge! We would definitely recommend this outfit and hope to be back sometime!

My friends and I had an amazing time rafting together on the Thompson River. Despite being a large group of 57 students, the whole rafting experience went smoothly. I had a great time rafting with our guide Kirtus and learning about little bits of history about the river. I loved both power rafting and paddle rafting - the weather and water were perfect during my stay. The food was decent considering that the campsite is in a desert, and the accommodations were also pretty good. The staff were all very friendly and sweet. Overall, I give the trip 5 stars since it was the perfect way to start my last year in high school.

The "cabin" was nicer than i thought it was going to be. The staff was friendly, food was pretty good. My only real issue was how the trains seemed to roll by multiple times a night every night, I know this isnt the resorts fault. However in my research leading up too it there was no mention of it at all that I found. I would say it woke me up 3 or 4 times each night. Also the bathrooms definatly came across as they needed to be cleaned a little more often. Id like to give it 3.5 stars...but google isnt that advanced yet sadly.

Our lunch and dinner we had was really good, but the breakfast had room for improvement. The wait time was much longer than we anticipated based on the system where you reserve and don’t order a specific meal. The meal was alright, though everything on the plate was cold by the time it reached us.
Don’t let that deter you from booking an amazing vacation here though! The live music and pool were highlights as well.

The power rafting was so much fun, and our guide Mary told us lots of cool details along the way. The food tasted great, especially the desserts! Because they are canvas cabins, there are lots of bugs inside and it gets freezing cold in the mornings. However, each cabin has a bit of electricity from the solar panels to charge devices (but not enough to for example power a kettle), and the string of lights inside the cabin makes it super cozy in the evenings!

Wonderful experience in the paddle rafting experience. Our guide Connor was very knowledgeable and pointed out a lot of things on our day-trip. So much history to learn abt the Thompson River, and cool wildlife sightings! Well supported, positive and fun filled experience. Thanks for a superb day!

This is a great little gem. Stayed in a cabin & did a power raft trip. The rafting was a great time with many little sites to see along the way. This is a really awesome family friendly place. The pool & hot-tub is situated with a great view. There’s lots of things to keep everyone busy during the day. Live music at night beside the bar. 100% coming back one day.

Amazing time, never been rafting before. Would highly recommend. Our Guide Zach was very entertaining and engaging. Site is clean, safe, and they have all the amenities needed on a trip. It is a good affordable trip for a family. Very fun mini vacation.

I had a blast! Spent the weekend at the resort. Did both paddle and motorboat. They let us bring my giant waterproof boom box onto the motorboat which was awesome I highly recommend music for the ride down. All the staff were helpful and fun. Absolutely no complaints. You won't regret this experience. I can't wait to go again.
We went here in fall time 2019 and I remember it was thanksgiving day and we had a big discount on the ticket like we pay $5 per person.
Then the cool part is we are inside the gondola while heading back to the main entrance we need to throw the pumpkin in the window in the ground.
It was nice weather to see the fall color of the tree..
There is a Ice cream store and souvenirs store too.
It was a good experience.

Surprisingly there was more to this just the tram ride! Of course the scenery is spectacular and the views everywhere are breathtaking! There's also some interesting history, some cool educational experiences and 3 great films to watch. There's a great candy shop, a restaurant with great soups and of course a fully stocked gift shop!
Staff were very friendly!
The suspension bridge can be intimidating! Was very windy on the bridge when we visited in June 2022.
It's worth checking out!

This is one great place and history sites to visit.
There are many information about the Simon Fraser River and the six Salmon species.
There is also a cinema where you can watch three historic films about the origin and details of those species.
Do not forget about the restaurant to do some lunch or enjoy one of the best soups I had ever eaten: Salmon Chowder. 🍜
There are plenty parking slot on the front.
Washrooms cleaned and available.
Our crew team are very nice and attentive, congratulations to everyone.
There is a store inside where you can buy many things and another ice cream shop and chocolate bars.
I really recommend this place.

This place is so incredible! My partner and I vow to visit every year. Absolutely stunning views! Bring a picnic, water, and a cool towel. It has pockets of incredibly humid air. Bring comfy shoes. Very gravely terrain.

They let us take our dog on the tram! That was an amazing surprise. What an incredible place. Friendly staff, good ice cream, water for puppy, a great bridge to see the river from (not recommended for pups - it's a grated bridge). Would do this again in a heartbeat.

What a great time we had here. The gondola ride down to the main viewing area was smooth and quick, and once down there was plenty to see and read about the rock slide and the area's history. The views are spectacular and walking the metal bridge across the canyon was a thrill - that not all could do!

Loved the experience at Hell’s Gate. Its a short but steep gondola ride to the other side of the river. Once you cross over, you can visit the gift shop, museum, experience gold panning , enjoy the fudge shop or you can simply sit and enjoy the view of the river and the canyon.
There are washrooms available. The staff is very courteous. It took us 2hrs to reach Hells Gate from Vancouver. We went on a sunday and it was not all that busy. It closes for the season in 1st week of October and will reopen in May.

Gorgeous place to visit on your way somewhere or even just as a day trip! Lots of interesting things to see although one of the museum's was closed the day we went. Could easily spend 4-5 hours there. Also, buy the fudge. All the fudge. I only purchased 3 flavours and can't justify the cost of the ticket to go get more!

My recent visit to Hell's Gate was truly an experience I won't soon forget, thanks in part to the use of the Airtram. Hell's Gate offers a unique combination of breathtaking natural beauty and adventurous activities, including this exciting cable car.
Upon arrival, I was greeted by friendly staff who warmly welcomed me and provided me with all the necessary information. The airtram is a cable car that takes you on a spectacular ride over the park, offering unparalleled panoramic views of Hell's Gate's stunning landscapes. It was a fantastic way to gain a bird's-eye perspective and admire the vast plains, deep gorges, and towering rock formations from above.

Enjoyable place. Beautiful grounds, lots of sweet treats in the fudge factory. They got a new cotton candy vending machine that makes super fancy cotton candies. We visited on July 20 and it was not too busy. Nice staff. We will visit again.

One of the best places I have ever visited. Sunny days are the best to visit this place. We spotted so many salmons porpoising from the bridge. The gift shop and the ice cream shop are must visit. Overall a good place to spend our whole day along with your family.

It was amazing experience with breathtaking views. We went around 12 pm and booked in advance. It was not too busy. Tram is going down and up every 10 minutes. Nice history explanation and breath taking views of Fraser river. There is also suspension bridge to have nice pictures and enjoy. There are different viewpoint, little museum, a restaurant, a ice cream shop and a shop. Unfortunately, restaurant. Was closed due to water supply. We had ice-cream. You can enjoy with family and kids. Love this place😍😍😍

While the location is amazing, I want to give a shout out to the staff. Yesterday saw a power outage that shut down the attraction with us at the bottom of the tram. When it first went out, an employee actually dug into her purse and paid for my bottle of water. Says a lot of the character of employees they hire as I can’t see it being a lucrative job. As it became apparent it wasn’t to be a short outage, the team went into their action plan on lowering the stranded trams and ensuring customer comfort. I learned a fair bit about the safety and maintenance that goes on a daily basis there and left with full confidence on how this place is run. Shuttles were sent down to pick up customers to return them to the top and good thing as I’d probably die if I had to hike it.😅
The only disappointment was the power killing the opportunity to get shirts from the gift shop but that’s the price we pay for not carrying cash. So in short to all the staff there, you guys are amazing!!

Nice tram ride and view. More history here than I thought. We were lucky enough to be on the other side when an extremely long train came through and were able to watch it snake it’s way along the side of the cliff and water. Great information on salmon & the design and build of what we now use as a tourist attraction.

Really great experience. Plan to spend some time at the other end of the tram. The bridge gives a nice view. Occasionally you can spot trains through the tunnel also. There is a small restaurant with limited menu. But the food was good.

Located an hour and 45 minute drive from Vancouver, the Othello Tunnels are a stunning hiking destination featuring railway tunnels carved through a granite mountain in the early 1900s. Though currently closed for renovations due to flood damage, this picturesque site is well worth the visit when it reopens. The surrounding drive offers beautiful scenery, including a stop in Chilliwack known for their locally produced honey.
We went here last fall season and there is not much people walking and there is a lot of parking space.
We also experience visiting this place in summer season and the parking lot is so full and need to wait to get a parking.
There is a washroom in the entrance of the trail.
Overall this trail park is good for kids and old people cause its flat.
Adette Balot — Google review
The park is closed for 2022. We went anyway. Absolutely no work had been done so far to repair the damage caused by a flood. It's mostly going to stay closed for quite a while.
It's beautiful, it's grandiose and it's scary. Loved it.
Sebastien Caron — Google review
Hoping that these reopen soon. During the floods in November 2021 they were badly damaged and there hasn't been an update since. Normally they are closed during the winter season so it will soon be 2 years that they are "temporarily closed".
Originally rail tunnels, you can walk from the Othello parking lot into Hope. GPS does fail when you are looking for these tunnels so keep an eye on the signs, don't trust just GPS. They also get super busy so the earlier in the day that you can go, the better. Especially since they got "Instagram worthy" status so most people will only walk to the last tunnel then turn around but there are a few hikes past them, one has a historic marker that goes up and over the mountain.
Female Abroad — Google review
By far one of the best places to see around Vancouver. It's an hour and 45 mins drive from our place but it's absolutely worth it. It's sad to see the destruction caused by the floods. I believe it's currently closed because it's getting some renovations done and it won't be opening any time soon but can't recommend it enough whenever it opens back up. One of the most beautiful places to see around Vancouver and the drive is great as well. You can stop by in Chilliwack on the way to pick up some honey, they are famous for it.

What a great place to get out and stretch my legs after getting off the island. Parking was a bit touch and go but I was able to get a sweet spot up front. The walk to the tunnels was pretty flat so most people should be able to do it. Just happened to be a beautiful day so the water looked this amazingly blue/green color. Walking over the bridges and checking out the water down below was breathtaking. Highly recommended for all ages and worth the visit. I will be back again on my next pass through..

It was my first best experience. We went to tunnel from kettle valley side which is a long walk until you reach the tunnel but with mesmerizing views n forest walk. Once you reach the tunnel you will see the gates closed but all the people including us trespassed through gate and from that point best part start. It’s 4 tunnels in total with great view at the end n between the tunnels. Make sure to carry torch as tunnels are dark although flashlight will work too but torches will be best. They r open go visit before rain I was there on may 1, 2022

Very interesting place to explore on a weekend. Bring your kids and enjoy the walk in tunnels
You will see lots of scenic views.
It is about 30 minutes walk to get to end of 4 tunnels including photo shooting stops.
Tunnels are constructed in early 1900 for Pacific train. The last tunnel shows 1951 on concrete.
Pro tip is to get to the River and place your bare foot and relax.
Parking lot is not good at all and obviously not enough for the demand. Most probably you will end up to park your car on road side like everyone else. It should be about 6-7 minutes walk to the park gate

Beautiful place to have a little walk through incredibly beautiful Rocky Tunnels. There is a gorgeous river running under the bridges that conform the tunnel. To be fair the pictures make no justice to what you will live there.
The only downside is that it is usually closed during rainy season, which in BC is all year.

This place is wonderful (even on a very gloomy and rainy day). The falls offer magnificent views and the roaring white water makes the day. The drive to the falls is through dense green vegetation.
There is ample parking space but the lack of conveniences would be missed.

Awesome falls, we went today to this falls, with the recent rain there is heavy flow in the river as well as in the falls, lot of gust from the falls. No rest rooms in the falls area, parking is limited but not much crowd as well. You can have top view of the falls, you can also go near the river which is under the bridge.
Porkaipandian Gopalakrishnan — Google review
Easy walk to the falls Viewpoint. No restrooms though in this place.
Sowmya — Google review
The falls are dramatic and a short drive off the main road. You follow a gravel, one lane road, for a short distance to a parking area. We visited mid-week and only saw a couple other people.
The signage to the falls is a bit before the turn, but the turn itself does not mention the falls (Wells Ck Rd).
Warning signs describe the danger of getting too close to the falls, and has a list some of those who have perished. It is a scary drop off on the other side of the fence.
Wayne O — Google review
Nice little falls, easy access for viewing, but it is dangerous outside of the designated areas. The gravel road to the falls is narrow, but has some pullouts. There is also a parking lot big enough for about a dozen cars (more if people park well).
Teresja Nelson — Google review
Beautiful fall and river. There is overlook area which does not require a lot of hike. My parent 65+ could easily walk up to the viewing area. There is fence on the side of the fall for protection, however the river side is easily accessible.
Overall nice place.

Great place with tons of awesome slides, pools and spray areas. All kids of all ages love it here and everyone is happy all day. Attentive life guards. Cultus Lake Waterpark is a fantastic place for families with kids, as my recent visit with my 6 and 11-year-olds proved. The park offers a wide array of water slides and attractions that kept my kids entertained for hours. From thrilling slides to the lazy river, there was something for everyone.
The only downside we experienced was the park's policy against bringing in our own BBQ. While we understand the need for safety and cleanliness, it would have been nice to have the option to cook our own food, especially for families with dietary restrictions or picky eaters. However, the park does have a variety of food options available for purchase, including snacks, drinks, and meals.
Overall, our experience at Cultus Lake Waterpark was fantastic. The kids had a blast, and we appreciated the park's commitment to safety and cleanliness. We would definitely recommend it to other families looking for a fun day out.
Pradip Ghimire — Google review
Really nice park and tons of attractions but absolutely not worth the price when attending with very young kids. There should be a lesser rate for toddlers and their parents.
Additionally, I was somewhat put off by the number of people wearing pants and long sleeve shirts on the slides and in all the pools. There just seemed to be more dirt, grass and floating debris in the pools, which I couldn’t help but think might be due to all of the fully clothed people, but I could be wrong.
Overall, I’ve had better experiences here in past years but maybe it was just an off day, the park has been kept up well with lots of new additions. Worth attending if you are okay with paying an arm and a leg.

Administration doesn’t care about its little visitors. My little daughter went off this slide and scraped her leg. Look where the child has to went off on this slide! A hard (like sandpaper) and uneven surface awaits the child below. Be careful!

My daughter likes this waterpark. We had a great day here.
Easy parking. Quick check in (We arrived 10.10 in the morning). $10 parking and $10 umbrella rent is acceptable. Great grass for rest with fresh air and great view. Grab&Go food is good.
Make sure you get everything you need before you leave your car. No return allowed.
One problem is it’s really overcrowded. We went there on Thursday. It’s beyond its capacity so that every slide has a very long line, especially in the afternoon.
Wei Sun — Google review
This park started in 1984. The facilities are in reasonable shape considering its age. There are slides/play areas tailored for each age/risk-tolerant group from toddler to seniors. Staffs are friendly and attentive to guests' safety. Bring your slippers with you when hitting the bathroom, which might be the one of the few weakness of the entire park. Hot tubes' sanitary might be the next. Park get crowded by 11am on a weekday in August, so can't imagine the busyness over weekends. Each ride's queue takes around 15 minutes. Scan the park to find the shortest line might save your some time. Portable tent is a must-have for hot days and for better privacy. Rental umbrella easily knocked down by wind. Cargo cart is prevailing in the park and essential if you carry lots of stuff with you, but the park thoughtfully offers a loading zone right in front of the entrance.

I have not been in this place for almost a decade! Went on a sunny day after a few days of camping. My family and friends and their kids had a blast here! The cabana we rented out is perfect for our big group. Love their tots are; great for my 14mos old, even for my almost 4yo kid as the water is warmer and very shallow. I should say that most of the rides are still there, from what i remember. The cabanas and shaded picnic tables are a big addition to this place. We will do one more trip before summer ends.

The water park overall is very entertaining and has many attractions, however, even on weekdays the waiting time per each slide is around 30 minutes, there are also no large swimming pools for leisure swin.

Cultus Lake Waterpark is a splash hit for all ages! We went to the Waterpark on a Wednesday morning; it was overcast with light rain at the start and it was fantastic!
We arrived at 9:30 - about 30 min before it opened - and there were about 7 or 8 groups already in line. The queue area is covered and protects you from the rain or sun depending on the weather. The checkin process was quick with the longest being the bag and food check.
If you arrive early you can get a free covered picnic table to set your things out for the day. As the weather was crummy and we were there early there was no issue getting a spot.
The kids were able to have the run of the place for the first hour plus as it wasn’t too busy due to the weather and it being mid-week. There is a very wide selection of water slides to choose from, in size, twistiness, soakability, and scare factor; but regardless of which one you choose it is sure to be fun! The kid’s favourites were the Valley of Fear, Black Hole, and the Bazooka bowl! The slides are starting to show their age with some wear but it doesn’t detract from the fun.
The food is expensive and the quality is pretty meh. The best deal is obviously the ice cream with the portions being massive. You are probably fine getting a single as none of the kids could finish the double scoop they got.
Parking is $10 and you pay when you leave.
Overall Cultus Lake Waterpark is a great time, especially if you go on a rainy Wednesday! Otherwise I would definitely recommend buying your tickets in advance!!

Ridiculously poor. See photos.
Used diapers and trash in the parking lot should have served as a warning.
We arrived late and paid for reduced tickets at 1630. In the 2.5h we had, we managed 4 rides due to appalling queues and overcrowding.
We recognized this as soon as we were in the park and due to the long lines and horrifically long lines we immediately asked for a refund but we're declined because the staff onsite lack any authority to give one.
I first visited this place on the late 80s and had fond memories and was excited to bring me kids here. It looks like it's been left to rot since this time with flaky paint, stained slidesz rust, litter and more.
I'm fortunate enough to have visited many water parks in different countries inc. Austria, Spain and UAE. THIS WAS RHE WORST BY FAR.
Avoid it.
Greg Bullock — Google review
It's a damn good time....BUT....I kinda thought buying the tickets online would mean they limit entrance....nope...its frigging packed expect to wait 30 minutes at minimum for tube rides and 15 for body slides. One was over 45 min, and an hour by time you actually get out of the slide.
Lazy river was completely packed, same as pirate ship, kids pool/slides, you're tripping over people all day period.
The rules could use an update at canyon tube. 2 adults and 3 kids(450lbs maybe) can't go in a tube, but 4 250lbs adults can go just fine even though weight limit is 800lbs....don't make sense to me, rules are rules after all.
Overall it's fun, but do not expect to go anywhere fast.

Clayburn Village Store is a charming attraction in Abbotsford, situated at the base of Sumas Mountain. Established in 1905, it was the first company town in British Columbia and offered various amenities to its employees. The village boasts several museums and cultural sites nearby. Visitors often stop by for a break during road trips and are delighted by the store's offerings. The shop provides an array of delicious treats, including homemade sausage rolls and nostalgic candies.
If you want candy or other great unique finds, this is the place to go! They have so many rare old candies and unique treats from back when we were kids. So much to look at being a heritage building, will definitely be back for ice cream when the weather gets warm.

Golden Ears Provincial Park is a sprawling outdoor recreation area located just an hour away from downtown Vancouver. It boasts a massive lake that offers a variety of aquatic activities, and is also home to three different campgrounds and numerous hiking trails. The park is renowned for its scenic trails and ample parking space, making it an ideal destination for hikers, trail runners, walkers and picnic-goers alike. Additionally, boat/kayak rentals are available during the summer months.
One of the better parks around, some of the best trails/hikes around. Ample parking for all your friends and then some. Trail runners and walkers enjoy the multitude of trails all around. Ideal weather is a dry 20+ degree day, but even on a 7 degree late winter day was nice, especially with all the picnic tables available. Boat/kayak rentals in the summer also make it a nice day out

I have now been here twice with different friends this summer. Day pass was required to enter certain parts of the park due to peak visitor season, so it's completely understandable. The pass is free and easy to get online. The park staff checking passes are efficient and friendly (and probably tired of some people's attitudes - be kind, they're awesome people).
The first hike was on one of the more challenging ones, the Lake Viewpoint Trail, which lead to a view that was once grand but now is a bit overgrown and difficult to see the lake. Absolutely still worth the hike, let me tell you. Beautiful canopy covered trail, that snakes up and down a fairly steep mountainside. (First 5 photos are of this hike).
The second hike was a much more relaxed and long walk at the Lower Falls trail, which let to many stunning spots along the river. The wide gravel trail (watch your step for large rocks poking out!) is stroller and wagon friendly, so taking the tiny humans along is easy enough. Lots of large families going in and out. As the trail progresses it gets more narrow, but is still wide enough to drive a small car through (though seriously do not). The falls itself is quite beautiful with the potential to be mesmerizing to the senses.
(The last 10 photos are of this hike.)

This is a must see when visiting BC! The lake is breathtaking and looks like it belongs in a painting! This is our favourite morning stroll spot, we grab some Starbucks then spend the morning enjoying what Golden Ears has to offer. Really worth seeing. You will need a reservation to visit before 4 pm but spots free up and are easy to book using the online site.

Our experience of Aloutte Lake was overwhelming. The lake was so Beautiful and the whole area was serene. Just a heads up for those travelling by bus or taking a cab- there’s no bus servixe or cab service while going back unless you have hired a cab for full day. There’s no mobile network as well. Overall, a beautiful place!

We have been trying short walks with our dog. In Golden ears we have tried the Gold Creek Falls trail which is extremely accessible stroller not a problem. Our most recent was the trail around Mike Lake. On this trip it was after an entire day of steady rain. Clean clear water was flowing every where. There was one spot where the water accumulated and the paths available were limited and mostly swamped. Humans did OK. Dog required a bath. Of the 2 the Gold Creek trail was the most beautiful landscape and the Mike Lake the most like real hiking.

It was my first time camping. I went there with my friend who booked camp site . The grounds are big enough for 2 trucks although you have to pay. $12 for second one and we set up 6 tents large size with 3 canopy. Fire is still not allowed but you can use propane fire pit . The walk is very less to lake and views are splendid. Don’t leave food outside unattended . Don’t keep food inside tent at any time . They had flush toilet n clean water tap but night time it’s dark so really good to keep torch flashlight on you after sunset .

This is for the south beach and trail area. The waterfront lake here has many picnic benches that will fill up quickly during the warmer season. Come here early if you want to use one. A lot of park goers BBQ, play ball games, canoe or kayak and enjoy time with friends and family. There are plenty of parking that if the first set of parking space is unavailable, the second set will have your back. The trails in this area is quiet, legible and peaceful. In busy seasons, the washrooms can get full to the point where you have to wait in line or use the outhouses. There is a fountain right in front of the public washrooms for drinking water, not for cleaning activities.

Recently one of my top places to go camping or hiking. Most of the time is packed, and specially during weekends so you have to plan quite in advance, but once you make it you will be grateful, because it’s stunning out there!!

Huge provincial park with lots of trails, parking spaces, and camp sites. I went in mid February and although it was still a bit chilly, there were already some people out camping. The views are spectacular. Public washrooms are available as well as benches, picnic tables, and bear proof trash cans. It is a must visit place in the summer for those who love nature.

Golden Ears is one of the largest parks in BC spanning more than 150K acres and hosts a large number of hiking, cycling and horse riding trails. Each trail offers unique and beautiful sights of snow-capped mountains, lake, waterfalls, stream of snow melt water, lush green vegetation and beaches.
There are camping sites available here but you need to reserve them well in advance as they are very popular. The parking here is also quite limited and if you want to park near the entrance of trails, you need to get here early in the morning. As the day progresses, you may need to park by the roadside.
Do note that there is no phone reception here. So, plan your visit accordingly and download offline maps before heading to this park. That said, there's probably no better place near Vancouver to disconnect from everyday life and enjoy the bounty of natural beauty this park offers.

The hiking trails in this park are perfect for a good workout. The terrain is a mix of loose pebbles and packed earth and is fairly well maintained. The entire trail is well shaded and is a perfect place to escape the mid day sun.
I've done this trail 3 times now and only came across another group a couple of times, so if you dont like crowds, this is a good place to go.
I would definitely recommend this trail to others.

Lots of campgrounds and amazing experience for camping off the grid since no cellphone reception at the gold creek campgrounds. Sign for bear in area were up everywhere and so it's important to follow park rules and safely dispose garbage promptly. Loved the overall experience and the hot showers made sure we stayed clean through out our camping trip. Park doesn't have fire pits for rental so please bring your own Propane firepita during fireban.

I really enjoyed camping here. Nice to have such a great place so close to home. The spots are private. I appreciated how well patrolled it is. Each campground has its own beach area separate from the other campgrounds and day users

One of my favourites campsites, again freaking hard to get spot on weekends………. The place is always quiet and clean and the campground size just bigger enough for two tents ⛺️ and a tiny one for dog. I enjoyed the water in the lake even though it’s always cold 🥶. Shower is good, it’s warm not hot which I personally prefer hot shower…….only downside is you ain’t get no signal here , which is kinda good no phones no internet, just chills and enjoy camping.

Beautiful place with mountains and wide lake. Great for boating and picnicking! We saw lots of family gatherings. There is a boat launch on the west.

Couldn't get to north beach since the road is closed and I didn't want to walk extra, but south beach is still beautiful. Road is closed right after west canyon parking lot. You can still park at west canyon (Jan 26). Flush toilets are also closed for winter, but you can still use the pit toilets.

I can't believe I've never taken the time to visit and explore Fort Langley. Full of historical buildings and exhibits outlining the history of European settlement, the Hudsons Bay company and the relevance of Fort Langley to the story. A fascinating place to visit for a few hours

Because I had my dog, we couldn't visit the fort, but that's not a problem. This village is a feast for all five senses. A great place to see vintage vehicles, and lots of antique shops. We visited the old rail station, which was a favorite of the grandkids, then crossed the bridge and wandered along the Fraser River's edge. Fort Langley is always busy on weekends, but when we visited on Labour Day, it was not bad at all. We lunched at the bistro under the pub, enjoying their peppery calamari while sitting outside at one of their beautifully appointed outdoor booths. A very pleasant day!

This is impressive considering that the site is under 200 years old on a compact site. The staff are all friendly and they will share their knowledge of the site and how the Hudson Bay Company did business and learned to integrate into the community.
It is a great choice to take kids as there is onbly one main entrance / exit (no wandering off) there is a playroom building dedicated for kids. The bathrooms are clean and well serviced. Parking lot access is good.
We went during a rainstorm, and it is not hard to image how the people lived in the wet, westcoast weather. Even with the rain, there were about 30 visitors on site. If you are visiting during clear and warm weather, I can imagine the site being very busy, so I would recommend buying tickets in advance.

Loved exploring this historic site. It highlights the part of the local history when the first settlers traded items with the first nations. The blacksmith workshop show and walking around the fort walls was my favourite part.

The thing that makes Fort Langley is the enthusiasm and erudition of the docents who bring this place alive. On our visit we met an 80 year old man who had the most phenomenal memory who held us spell-bound while he told us his story - and the story of the Fort. But the laurel wreath award goes to the chatty blacksmith who absolutely brilliant and shows you how hand eye coordination improves with practice and cannot be replicated any other way and who can turn a few cms of iron bar into a nail in seconds. We were early, so all I wanted to do was use the washroom - which is before you have to pay for admission - we would of course return after lunch - and I had a very informative exchange with the guy selling tickets. Parks Canada has done its amazing magic (see Dawson City if you don't believe me) in bringing a collection of historical buildings to life. Every schoolchild in the lower mainland gets to go to Fort Langley. If you haven't been yet you should go now.

First time here I didn't know what to expect, it was clean, beautiful, and had something interesting in every building. I loved the workers in period clothing, and so knowledgable. Even stuff for the kids to do and play with. If you're looking for something to do for 2 hours this is the place. Not to mention the great shopping area in down town to far away.

We went today to the vive les voyageurs event, also was our first time visiting the historic site, the place is big and great for activities with children, we visit all the area, at the main entrance you can take a map, also attend the music performance with michael and rosie and the spoons with maurice, it was really fun!, we learn something new today!, we trade something with the blacksmith and eat some poutine, its really amazing how locals try to keep the traditions and heritage!

This old small heritage town is a swing-by place for anyone who get bored with downtown Vancouver and wanna get away into a new environment. Many local eatery’s that are kept genuine and authentic. Fort itself is a disappointment because the forest covers everything and I can’t see inside. However, wandering around this town and capture some photos are still worth it. I have a feeling that this town is similar structured like Ladner. Overall, it is nice to be here.

My husband and I have watched this casino grow from the time it is open to present day it’s one of the best casinos to go to in Washington. It’s are go to place for a birthday anniversary and just a quick vacation the hotel is wonderful. We stayed at the hotel for about the 6-7 time and last night was just as great as the 1 st stay. From front desk staff to room readiness and very clean and I NO CLEAN (retired executive housekeeping management) so we will be back! And dinner was good and had more fun at the slots didn’t win there but a quiet room and a very comfortable bed and pillows made up for it. Thank you for the best time in the middle of the week.

Nice casino. Went to a birthday party at the everything sports game room. It was fun especially for the kids. When the kids left we hit the machines. Nice variety, all denominations. Friendly and courteous staff. Bar was understaffed in my opinion. But all in all, we enjoyed ourselves and will definitely go back.

We will definitely return whenever we can.

I do like this casino, very much. Although the first few times there, I found it very easy to get lost, I like the parking, easy to find your vehicle even when you can't find your friends. The high roller room is really the hit, don't be scared, you can't win big if you don't bet big! They've got really cheap food, and it's actually good n' tasty, always some awesome monthly special. I will definitely keep going back because even when I don't win, I never leave feeling like a loser.

Very clean hotel, loved the room! Food was excellent and beer was fresh. Service was great and very friendly. There is a cool gas station that you get $1 off a gallon with players card, unfortunately didn't notice that until I was leaving. But most importantly the casino did not smell like cigarette smoke, no one was smoking. I'll definitely be back! Thank you for an awesome stay Angel of the Winds :).

Wonderful place to venture to up north after dropping my nephew off at Western. We were given free hotel stay as a casino rewards member which really made the trip nice even though we didn't utilize the full night. The casino is large and clean and non-smoking. The hotel room was really nice, they don't offer continental breakfast unfortunately. Overall I would recommend this casino even as a destination I am impressed with the facility and the treatment of the casino guests compared to other casinos in our state this one I would say is a gem.

We were there to attend a near by wedding so location was perfect. Although there isn’t a pool on site, the bowling alley was exceptional entertainment for our two young grandkids. Food was very good and breakfast was perfect every day. Gotta love consistency these days! Front desk was super friendly. Coffee bar and GIANT pastries were a nice bonus. Oh and the show heads in the bathrooms have to be the best in any hotel we’ve seen in awhile.

I've been going to the angel of the wind since they opened their doors. I'm very much contemplating never going back ever since they've changed their reward system. So many people complain of the service, including myself. The food has gone incredibly downhill. I can never get someone to help me when most of their machines need to be maintained. And to top it off, I can't have fun there anymore. From the horrible payouts that they have since they reopened after the pandemic To the many people i've talked to saying they are gaffing machines. What a shame I used to love this place.

We visited The Angel of the Winds Casino for our 12th wedding anniversary on January 12.
We were blown away by the entire staff by their kindness and awesome attitudes. We had never been over night for our anniversary, kids, jobs home life always coming first.
This awesome group of people not only made our night incredibly special, and surprising but OH SO MUCH FUN!
The amazing restaurant called Whiskey Prime inside the casino, was GLORIOUS, and our wait staff made sure to help us celebrate with some yummy desserts.
The ladies at the customer service desk were a hoot, and the waitresses (my lucky charms) made our game playing a continuous laugh!
We were blown away with the professionalism, fun and great people!

We had never been before. It was a pleasant surprise! The room we booked was super clean, updated and pleasing to stay in. We stay in lots of hotels including some famously nice ones both in the states and overseas and this one compared to some that were three times the cost! I am not a big gambler but we had a blast at the slots and the bowling alley! Food was delicious also. We got breakfast and was so surprised at the amount of food we got for the cost. We spent less than 50.00 for the two of us to eat and it was a full plate of food. It was great. We plan to go back!

Some of your staff is very friendly and helpful. The young man who helped me get the club card was knowledgeable and kind.
However, back at the keno area the 3 employees in this area were very unhelpful. They did not want to help in any way. When I finally said I did not understand and asked for them to show me, they did it grudgingly. I will probably not visit that area again.
Also, your club card is not easy to use. I should t have to struggle using it especially the first time. This will keep me from coming back as well.
The Asian Fusion restaurant was very good. Very good food and our waitress was very friendly.

Best casino experience ever. The staff were very friendly and I had a great time there. The slot games are current and I even saw a few that were new to me. In addition to the great games they also have a ton of reward members perks. The day I went there, the friend who brought me there was comped a stay on one of their hotel rooms. That is just one of the incredibly cool ways Angel of the Winds says thank y out to its loyal customer base. I intend to return again on the not so distant future and I cannot wait.

This casino is conveniently located for me personally— I can drive here in five minutes to pick up food. The restaurants inside are very reasonably priced. The parking lot is large and you can always find a space. You may need to park a ways from the entrance, but there are sidewalks all over and the walk isn’t bad. There are speakers playing music in parking lot— sometimes it’s decent; sometimes it’s not. Anyway, there are mostly slot machines inside and there are people using them at all hours of the day and night.

I am blown away by the above and beyond service I received from Angel of the Winds. I go regularly to casinos but had not yet gone to Angel. I went and was playing slots. While I was there I went from one machine to another and somewhere between, lost an $80 ticket. I asked security and they looked into it for me. They looked at the cameras and saw a woman follow me, pick up the ticket(I dropped it) , then leave out one exit, take a cab around to a different entrance, go back in and cash in the ticket. They were apologetic but I realized that if someone else cashed it, that was it. It's gone. But guess what? Later that evening I received a phone call from Angel of the Winds. They told me they had my money!! The woman obviously came back and either they knew her or facial recognition got her! It took a lot of effort on their part to get that for me and call me, etc. I really appreciate that level of service. I will be back! Thanks Angel of the Winds!

First time visit. Service desk personnel were friendly and helpful getting us registered and off and playing. Casino is well lit and machines well placed. Did not know there was a parking garage and ended up parking by the hotel.

We were very pleased with our stay! Reservations, Front Desk Staff, and the Room were exceptional! The casino is equally exceptional with so many machines and choices - including many older fun games that other casinos have replaced with the less silly fun - higher cost Chinese machines. Lots of great food choices and the gaming staff and food service staff are as kind, fun, and attentive as the desk staff. Everything is clean, maintained, and guest oriented - very rare these days! Angel of the Winds is the getaway we have been looking for! We will be regulars!

Angel of the Winds Casino was a great experience not just for the adults but for the kids as well. There's a bowling alley where kids of all ages can play and have some fun. We had my son's birthday there and everyone had such an amazing time. The service was great. We had one issue but it was resolved quickly which was much appreciated since we were on a time limit. The bowling alley had food but there's also other places to eat as well. We ate at the Mexican restaurant after bowling, the food was delicious and the waiters were on top of everything. I recommend Angel of the Winds Casino to anyone that enjoys gambling, great food, helpful people, some quality time with the family or all the above!

I’ve only visited the resort three times but I’ve had a blast every time. The gaming areas are very clean and have an elegant feel to them. The atmosphere is very welcoming although it can get crowded and loud that’s expected in a casino/resort. The staff at the players club are so friendly and welcoming they are also extremely polite and I feel like that is rare in the service industry. My spouse absolutely loves the complementary non alcoholic drinks available to the public. I would definitely give this place a chance if you’re looking for something to do on date night.

We (5 ladies)went bowling with Senior Strikers and had a blast adventuring through the casino and learning the ropes. Haven’t laughed so much in ages. I was impressed with the live band playing for the dancing patrons next to the bowling. Plus the friendly service and advice from the staff was lovely. Food wasn’t as good as expected, but most of us walked out with added winnings from gambling. Loved the fresh air, that’s why we came. Coming back with more people from our condos.

Clean, nice layout, good machine variety, and having bowling as a non-gambling entertainment option is great. Though we did not stay at the hotel, I can at least say the lobby is nice and comfortable. Ate at Katie's Kitchen, and it was very good for the price (the reuben deal was hard to pass up and worth every penny). That being said, the winning factor here is easily the location. Geographically speaking, I think this is the best casino I personally have been to.

My first time ever stepping foot in the Angel of the Winds casino resort and i was treated so well. I was given a free nights stay for winning a jackpot on a slot machine and with the one gesture they came to hold value in my eyes as i’ve won tens of thousands from other local casinos and been given nothing, not even an escort to my vehicle upon leaving with my winnings. The casino was smoke free clean and attended by caring and thoughtful employees. the resort was spotless and rooms very large clean and with luxurious comforts that normally come at a price four times that of which they ask. i recommend stopping by should you find yourself in the area. grab a players card if you choose to play it’s worth the benefits. or if you’re just looking to stay at a five star resort for the price of a truck stop motel you wouldn’t be disappointed regardless of how you choose to spend your time there.

I've stayed here before and it's always clean and immaculate. Beautiful bathrooms and shower too! For some reason though, we were in a room that had very little sound protection and we heard *every* sound they made including a nasty cough someone had. I think the adjoining door had something to do with that. I really didn't enjoy the room for this reason but also didn't want a room switch request so late at night, but had that not happened (it didn't before) I would have a whole different story.
Casino, food and staff are amazing.

The food places had great food at great prices. Drinks are free any time. The bowling alley was amazing. the food there was also great with great prices. The casino didn't feel crowded and it is all smoke free which is awesome. We will definitely be back soon.
Whatcom Falls Park is a scenic city park located in the hills, featuring waterfalls, gardens, trails, a fishing pond, and a playground. It's an ideal place for families to visit and enjoy nature. The park has public washrooms and a small playground near the parking lot. Visitors can take short hikes along relaxing trails surrounded by trees. Although it may not be as expansive as some parks, its beauty makes it worthwhile to visit.
A lovely park with an ancient bridge and beautiful waterfalls. Short and light (there are stairs at some point so not suitable for a baby stroller). Near the parking lot there are public washrooms and small playground. Highly recommended.

Beautiful place for a more challenging walk/hike. Most of the trails were pretty narrow and a little muddy(we went in December). A few of them required a more adventurous disposition than I had that day and I didn't wear the best shoes. I have been told that the falls are much more full rapid flowing if you visit in the spring when the mountain snow melt flows down. I think it's fantastic any time of year. Visited December 2018

Loved the peace and calm there.
Just after a very short hike up the falls you will find another small falls - we saw lot of young people playing, bathing and swimming there - looked fun but I think i read no swimming in falls somewhere in the park so not sure if this was allowed.
The small playground is nice for less then 4 years old kids.

There are different swimming areas which we loved. Water is a bit cold but refreshing!
You can continue the walk through the park and reach the Bloedel Donavan Park, which I highly recommend!
This entire walk takes a total of 1.5 hours to complete. Easy!

This is not the closest parking area for viewing the falls. If you want to see the falls and not walk far, use directions for Whatcom Creek Park.
That being said it’s still a nice shady walk to the falls from here. The whole park is huge with lots of trails.
Lots of people swimming in the creek, I was surprised how inviting the water looked. Still we never figured out a way to get down there that didn’t freak me out because it’s a steep jump and a long fall if you are not careful.

I love the natural beauty of this park. The river runs through creating a series of pools. There is a wonderfully built stone bridge. My personal favorite is the old trestle bridge spanning the river.

A beautiful park with a really cool waterfall right next to the entrance! The waterfall is so picturesque😍
You can chill by the water, and it's super refreshing. Plus, there are hiking trails all around, so you can explore the area. It's a great place to just kick back, have a picnic, or snap some killer Instagram pics. Trust me, you gotta check it out if you're into nature and good vibes.

Such a cute park! The falls are beautiful! A park with the amenities of a small city park (playgrounds, tennis and basketball courts, bathrooms, off-leash dog areas, etc.) but with trails that feel like you’re out in the middle of the woods. I love walking here!

Absolutely stunning. Oasis within 5-10 minutes of Bellingham. Perfect place to FALL back and connect with nature. Plenty of trails, especially along the river! Minimal walk from parking lot to waterfalls if you don’t/ can’t walk far.

We often like to go for walks when we're out. We stumbled on this path and it was better than we expected. It's a great party with quite a large flowering falls. The falls aren't high but the water coming over was a lot. Just a beautiful serene place worth visiting!!

Beautiful park and easy trails! Terrible experience with a guy from parks and rec who slammed on the door and yelled at my girlfriend while she was using the public and unlocked restroom at the park. She had only been in the bathroom for less than two minutes. We think he assumed she was a houseless person but nothing excuses his rude behavior and yelling.

Love that the waterfalls and stone bridge is so close to the parking lot. Saw some deer on the way out. Honestly the closest I've been to deer in nature. Just a lovely park for a walk.
Roozengaarde, located between La Conner and Mt Vernon, is a well-known bulb producer famous for its vibrant fields of blooms and stunning display garden showcasing a wide variety of bulb types. The picturesque backdrop includes the majestic Mt Baker and a Dutch-inspired windmill, offering plenty of photo opportunities. Despite the increasing admission price and occasional crowds, visitors find it worthwhile due to the consistently beautiful garden and amazing fields.
Awesome place to visit Tulips every year, almost 75% of flowers are bloomed. We went on Friday evening to view the flowers in the sunset and it didn't disappoint. What a colorful display it was with flowers in almost all colors. Crowd was less compared to day time, lot of parking spaces and restrooms maintained as usual. It was very cold in the evening, particularly after sunset, so wear proper clothing. Seems less area covered this year may be due to Covid effect but still worth visiting the place.

Pretty spectacular grounds with tens of millions of tulips, daffodils, and other flowers. The concessions are expensive (as you’d expect), but you’re allowed to bring your own food and drinks. There are plenty of portable toilets and hand washing stations. Try to arrive just before it opens so you can be ready to enter right away. It will get crowded quickly.

Visited on very cold, rainy, windy Monday morning and despite that the flowers were super beautiful, and as a bonus the crowds were reduced (but amazingly a lot of people starting showing up by 11:00 AM). Displays and fields are indeed nice. If you are on a budget, you can see a lot from the little parking lot just outside the fence, but paying the admission is probably worth it. Soil is well drained (tulips right?) so still could walk around in the rain. All good, except was dumbfounded that none of the tulips are labeled as to type. Would seem an easy add for them to do that, I don’t get why there needs to be a secret about what tulip is what type? Unbelievable given we were there to decide what tulips we liked best for future bulb purchases for our own garden (vs relying on photos in a catalog). So, total failure there and we will order/buy our hundreds of bulbs elsewhere since these folks don’t care to help in that way. Really unwise on their part in my view. Also, there was zero info posted or otherwise about how they run the business of growing tulips, would have expected that but I guess most visitors just want their quick photo for social media versus some insight into the tulip business etc. Part of the dumbing down of America I guess. There was a single helpful poster on the bulb cycle. Anyways we had fun, and can buy tulips elsewhere.

Free parking! A huge selection of variety of Tulips! Gorgeous displays! A beautiful garden with a colourful and unique design 😍😍
Today was a very busy weekend there but we were impressed with how well the traffic was directed into the parking lot and the food stand ( behind the garden) was very efficient. They were definitely prepared for the crowd.
We have enjoyed visiting he tulip fields & the Roozengaarde for over 30 years... This was one of the busiest weekends we had ever visited!
Shirin Sherkat — Google review
Went on a Saturday and the weather was extremely nice which is great and all but with those two factors it meant traffic everywhere and lots of people. There’s lots of tulips to look at and take photos. You can purchase your ticket online or pay when you get there $15/per person. They do take cash or card. They do have food you can purchase or you can bring your own food. There is free parking but I was impatient so I paid $10 (cash only) to park at the fire station which wasn’t too bad and the walk to the entrance isn’t bad.

We visited Roozengaarde today and had a positive experience! Tickets were $15 each and included parking. On site there were hamburgers, coffee, and fudge available for purchase. The honey buckets were the cleanest I’ve ever been in. We had so much fun and took beautiful photos in the tulip and daffodil fields. It’s amazing how intricately the flowers were planted and designed. When you visit, please do not walk between the rows of flowers and stay on the main path. We saw many people breaking the rules for a photo but do not be those people. Respect the farmers who allow us to visit their flower fields.

The tulip festival is a beautiful place to be and so peaceful! I recommend going on a week day and getting there right when it opens to avoid the crowds. We got there right at 9 am and it was delightful and stunning. We went the first weekend so not all the tulips were in bloom but most were. This coming week I’m sure they will be! I hadn’t been in 10 years and I went to Roozegaarde both times. It didn’t not disappoint. Beautiful surroundings and if you go on clear day you’ll see the mountains peak out. The staff is great inside the store and of course you need to buy some tulips to display at home. Grab some hot tea, coffee and fudge. Can’t miss out on that fudge!

Beautiful place in the spring to see outstretched fields of blooming tulips as well as garden areas planted in various arrangements. It's a photographer's delight, but prepare for the massive crowds. We went on Easter Day, and we had to park a half mile away and walk in, despite our tickets including free parking. There were massive crowds. Little ones around the crowds were losing strength as parents were trying to get the perfect Easter photos. It will definitely wear your legs out walking from parking zone to the far reaches of the fields, but the photos are beautiful!

What a beautiful place. The garden is full of colourful tulips and other flowers. It is very well maintained and a must visit place if you live near seattle. And town in itself is cute and has many lovely eateries.

We've been coming here since 2002. We began a family tradition and only have missed a few times over the past 21 years. Roozengaarde's admission has increased over that period of time, but it's still worth it. Their garden is always beautiful and the fields can be amazing. If you're patient, you will see a full garden. Unfortunately, nature dictates the bloom schedule every year. The staff is always in a great mood. They have coffee, kettle corn, hot dogs for the kiddos. Great photo ops all around!
William Case — Google review
It's was a beautiful field of tulips 🌷 but somehow it was smaller then anticipated from what I saw on their Instagram. Good to note: You are not allowed to walk between any of the rows! There are lots of cute place for photos, benches, swing & a huge rainbow background. Staff is very friendly, gift shop prices are outrageous .

The Skagit tulip festival never disappoints! There’s no way to beat the crowds at this, the largest garden of the festival, but don’t let that deter you. Take your time walking around all the fields of gorgeous flowers at various stages of blooming. The colors are magical, the people working, there are always friendly, and if you love, flowers and nature, you’ll be in good company with everyone else who’s come to appreciate the beauty as well.

It was a picture perfect day. The tulips were all colors and fields of yellow daffodils were fantastic. Families out enjoying the gardens! Highly recommended!

We visited on the weekend (tickets were $10 each, which is cheaper than what the website says). The grounds are well maintained, and surprisingly not too crowded.
Most of the daffodil fields are in bloom and some tulip ones too. Everything is spread out enough that you can find a quiet corner if you want. They also have a llama pen, which is adorable!

This is THE place to see tulips during bloom time. Come early before April 1st, and on a sunny day if you can. This place is gorgeous and their field is huge, packed with rows and rows of very dense, colorful and well organized tulips. When you see tulip fields in tourist brochures, it’s likely from this place. The flowers are also very reasonably priced if you want to buy a few bunches to take home ($7 per bunch, 5 for $30).

I have been here several times. First weekend in April was great this year. There are usually tulips and or daffodils throughout the festival. They have organized things very well. Don't be those people wearing shoes that shouldn't go in mud. They do a great job with the paths, but it's still the pnw. Plan about 2 hours.

A place to walk, chill, make your mind in peace . White rock pier is a place full of positivity , serenity . One can go there and sit for some time and take a small walk on the pier. Enjoy the beauty ,nature, water, seagulls chirping , sea shore sound. There are enormous restaurants where you can eat and see sunset peacefully. Easily accessible by car till that point . Less walk for seniors and kids too . One can easily take small bus too to reach till that point .

White Rock Pier is a 470-metre-long (1,540 ft) pier in White Rock, British Columbia. Originally built in 1914, it was a dock for steamships that arrived when the Great Northern Railway began operation. On December 20, 2018, the pier was severely damaged during a wind storm. The pier was repaired and reopened in 2019. 🤍

First time zip lining!!! My wife and I both had a great time. We wanted to do something different for our anniversary an this was an excellent choice. Zipping in-between the trees was a lot of fun. Our guides were very knowledgeable and just all around cool people. Looking forward to zipping again. From start to finish it was an overall great experience. An as a bonus we got free t-shirts because it was our anniversary! Thanks CTNW for the awesome experience.

I filled out the necessary forms online and brought a copy with me so check-in was quick. The location is easy to find. I was in a group of 10, equipping up was quick and well organized (harness and helmet) and the van trip to the starting point fine.
The ziplining was done with two guides, one at the end point of each line and the other, in my case Josh, on the starting platform. He insured everything was done safely while keeping a fun attitude. Each segment has two lines using two trolleys and two support lines to the harness. Most of the platforms had signs explaining some of the history and the ecology of the area. There is some moderately steep walking between some stations, both uphill and then down hill. There is one plank bridge that has to be crossed. After the sixth zipline you drop down about 60 feet on a speed controlled rope. I think the total time from gearing up and dropping gear was about two hours.
I was there on my 73rd birthday and as I was leaving I was stopped by the manager and offered a free gift, an up scale water bottle or a T-shirt. I took the T-shirt.

We visited from Florida and had a GREAT time at Canopy Tours NW! Our guides, Andrew and Devin, were awesome! I was nervous but they made me feel safe and at ease. They had a well thought out system and were very professional. Safety inspection signs were posted throughout the course, which made me feel safe as well. My teenage son had a great time as well. We will definitely be back next time we’re in the area!

This was a fun experience. I'm a local, and I have family on the island. In my opinion, this wasn't nearly as dramatic or scenic as the tours up in Whistler, but it was a nice group activity that's close to home. The guides were friendly and professional, and everything felt very safe. If Whistler was a perfect 10/10, I might give these a 6 or a 7.
The first few lines are short, and the last two were longer (about 600 feet). Those were my favorites.

My husband and I zipped with Canopy Tours NW in June and it was a really fun experience. Our guides were Patrick, "Paddy" and Grace. Both were clearly well trained, funny (ask them about the Green Door) and put safety first. We loved the ride up to the first line in the Unimog. We had perfect zipping weather and the views from each platform were great. At the halfway point they provided water and lavender lemonade made with the lavender from their fields. There is a well stocked gift shop and in the barn where you wait to get your gear, there are interesting photos with history about the family and the farm. This was a great way to celebrate my husband's birthday! We can't wait to "zip on" again!

We went in the afternoon on a nice day in April. It had warmed up by afternoon but they still had hot chocolate with the water at the middle course break and it was good. The zip lines start short and slow for the first two then get faster and longer. It’s not the most extreme zip line course I have done so a good course to try it out if your unsure if zip lines are for you and still enough to be fun for an experienced zip liner. The zip lines go through a nice second growth forest. They said there are often deer below in the morning but they had moved on by the time we went through. The gift shop has information about the family farm and some food produced from it. We got a nice herb Gouda. It’s creamy and the herb flavor really comes through in the finished cheese. We also got lavender fudge that was great and the lavender really comes through in that too. Good food and good times.

My adult son and I had both been zip lining before and were anxious to try it again. Canopy Tours did a great job. Our guides Patrick and Logan were great. The equipment is so sturdy and overbuilt you have great confidence zipping down the lines. They use a breaking system that controls your landing speed regardless of height or weight so you can relax and ride. A nice variety of lines, 6 in all. A couple of surprises along the way to mix things up. A terrific location with a mix of tree types.

Moran State Park is a vast nature reserve spanning over 5,000 acres of undulating forest terrain and five interconnected lakes. The park boasts scenic hiking trails, camping grounds, and an observation tower that provides panoramic views of the surrounding wilderness. Visitors can also enjoy the sights and sounds of a beautiful waterfall amidst the lush greenery of dense forests that are nourished by frequent rainwater.
Really cool area to camp, hike, bike and spend some time in the wilderness. I really enjoyed getting up to the top of Mount Constitution and biking back down. Definitely worth a visit!

Such beautiful trails for walking, running, riding. Most are heavily shaded, so well suited for summer.
We were delighted to see no trash on the 15 miles we walked. Walking among trees >100 years old puts your life issues in a bit of perspective.
Trails are well marked and of varying ability level. The various falls are close enough together to take them in on a single hike. None are tall; all have their charm.
The lakes are marvelously clear and inviting.
The view on top is panoramic. The location offers plenty of rocks and a few picnic benches for lunch or snacks.

The jewel of Moran State Park is a trip up to Mount Constitution. The midpoint and the top give way to beautiful scenic views of the U.S. Cascade and Olympic Mountains, and the Canadian Cascade Mountains by looking to the NW. On clear days Mt. Baker and Mt. Rainer make an appearance. Looking down at the San Juan Islands in a stunning patchwork of green variegated by blue water that makes up the Straight of Juan de Fuca leading to Pacific Ocean. The park has hiking at every turn and Cascade Lake is a great place to lounge during all seasons. The surrounding camping area is close to the lake and offers a variety of camp sites for a fee.

This is a great park. Lots of camping spots available. Really good if you are tenting since they have water, washrooms and coin showers.
Most of the spots are near the lake, which is very a swimmable. Park is overall pretty quiet so nice if you want to get away.
The park rangers routinely drive through so I’d say it’s pretty safe as well. They will enforce the rules but are overall pretty nice about it if you’re nice with them.
Each campsite has a bench and a fire pit. You’re not allowed to burn branches from the forest, but you can purchase wood for an easy fire.

Excellent lake area on Orcas island for leisure and water activities including kayaking, paddle boarding and paddle boat for rent. Enjoy the tranquility and fun at same time. Watching bald eagle flying and diving for fishes sometimes. Recommended for family outing and vacation spot in this State Park anytime of the year.

Love this place. Have visited many times and camped several. A variety of hikes both in terms of difficulty and experience. By the latter I mean a short small valley trail, around the lake loop trails, and up the mountain through forest with vistas from thousands of feet up. And a little "castle" too. The last 3 night trip I got in two hikes. paddled my yak and swam in 2 different awesome little lakes. At night, a 10 min walk to the lake shore to view the moonlight on the lake. Winner.
Also, the dork in me loves the rare firewood vending machine. Great to help the effort of not transporting firewood between eco systems and just cool at the use of tech. Yes, I feed it my credit card and a bundle of wood comes rolling down the shoot.
Campsites are a little small and can be kind of close together though it varies across the 3 campgrounds. You have to ask yourself if you are there for remotness and privacy (no) or easy access / close probity to one of the lakes. 4 sure. bathrooms were clean and stocked.

One of my favorite parks to visit and camp in. Lots of recreation options, with multiple trails of various lengths, waterfalls, lakes, viewing tower on top of Mt. Constitution, and lots of campsites. For a kid-friendly hike, try the Cascade Falls trail or the Mountain Lake trail. Most campsites are spacious with decent privacy, plus lake views from many. My only complaint is the showers; as with nearly every Washington State Park, the money box says 50cents for 3 minutes, but it never actually lasts 3 minutes. The middle campground showers were timed at 2 minutes, 38 seconds. WA Parks needs to adjust their timers or change the wording to make it accurate.
