Hsi Lai Temple
Buddhist temple
Sights & Landmarks
Traditional Chinese Buddhist temple offering services & tours, plus a museum & veggie lunch buffet.
Make sure you make a reservation before coming! Luckily we drove by and they had openings so we made reservations in our car. This place is legit. 100% like you're in China. There's a little Shop inside, the cafeteria wasn't open. You have to wear masks right now which sucks but you do why you gotta do.
This place is really cool and there's some great picture opportunities.

I grew up around the area and have always known that this temple was on the hill but never visited it. I’m glad I checked it out. The grounds are very well manicured and the temple and the surrounding structures were amazing and huge! The views are also amazing since it is situated on a hillside. Be prepared to climbing a lot of stairs. Walking around, you’ll see all the different deity’s, who they are and what they stand for. There is a small museum where you can see some artifacts and art work. There is also a gift shop which had some cool things both affordable and expensive. When we were there, we were lucky enough to see an actual service and also partake in an offering and lighting incense. You don’t have to be a follower of Buddhism to visit this place. But if you appreciate learning about another culture and religion, this is definitely a cool place to visit. Plus it’s free! You do have to make an appointment to visit but one ticket is good for a whole vehicle.
Jason Jamilano — Google review
This place was very beautiful. My boyfriend and I have never been here before and I just happened to find this on the map while looking for new places to adventure to. The temple is open to the public so anyone can enter whether you’re into Buddhism or you just wanted to come and admire the architecture of the temple.
There’s no price to enter, although around the temple, they do ask for donations, but that’s up to you.
Just be respectful of the place, no smoking on the grounds, keep a low voice volume. So I don’t think this would be a place to bring young kids if they’re loud, but what I saw from other reviewers they hold Lunar New Year’s celebrations, so maybe then you could bring the kids, but this is a calming place, so I wouldn’t bring kids here. You can record and take pictures of the temple but there are certain rooms that don’t allow photography and mostly because those are the praying rooms so be respectful that.
The praying rooms were so grand and so beautiful.
This was a place that we didn’t even know was here and we’re glad we went to go check it out. So if you’re in the area and have time, the temple was really big and you can walk around a lot of places and I saw that they hold lunches but we weren’t around for that time.definitely a place you should check out.
Just walking around. It was very calming and relaxing.

Randomly found this place when we had a spare hour and we loved it!!! So calm and peaceful. Beautiful temple to learn about other religions and culture. Absolutely amazing view of the temple with the mountains at the background!
It’s free to enter but you need to have a reservation! 30 min to 1 hour is more than enough to do a quick walk around and explore. If you want to learn more and deep dive into the history - you might spend more time there.
Olesia Fisun — Google review
I didn't have enough to spend there, but I'll definitely go back and take my time. Very serene and zen atmosphere and vib.
So much to see and explore and so be done at a cool pace and not rushed.
There is a library where you can check out books or read there. Quiet. Relaxing reading rooms. Very very nice staff. Amazing. There are some free books you can take.
There's a tea room and gift shop. 2 temples, a really good art gallery that has new Exhibits that rotates out.
I didn't have time to stay for the vegetarian buffet but the red bean and custard cakes I got that is made fresh on the spot there was really yummy! If you get there earlier enough, there is plenty of free parking on site.

One of the biggest Buddhist temples in North America. It offers great views and inner peace to the visitors. There's plenty of parking spaces on site. People are friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended

Such a beautiful and peaceful place even on a gloomy rainy day. Decorations for the lunar new year make it looks even better. Plenty of parking.

A friend recommended that I check this place out as something different to do. I was very impressed with how big this temple was and how nice and well designed it was. It's super spacious, and you are able to explore different parts of the temple. It sits up on a hill where you can get a great view (when it is not cloudy). There are certain parts of the temple that you can not photograph (which was the room I really enjoyed most). I think it's worth checking out.

Go on their website and make a reservation! You’ll need to show them your code before entering the gate. There will be a couple people waiting with their masks on telling you to wear your mask before they scan your code. Then they’ll allow you access. Masks are A MUST here. You’ll have to keep it on at all time. There’s tons of parking since it’s reservations only. It’s pretty empty so I’d recommend this spot if you want to check out the temple. Only part that you’ll be missing out are the decorations and the fruit tray that you can buy at the front. But other than that, you’ll see the temple clearer since there won’t be a lot of people.
Sherns Wang — Google review
Breathtaking views and something you would not expect to see in the US. Make sure to reserve online ahead of time and to wear masks while on the premises. It is a place of worship, so they do have guidelines on appropriate clothing.
The temple is beautiful and definitely worth stopping by if in the area.

Come early to have a better parking spot.

This is one of the most popular temples in the country.
Grand Chinese architecture, beautiful view, and impressive Buddha statues.
All staff and volunteers are super friendly.
Highly recommended:)

I enjoy going here. They have yoga classes here that I went to pre-Covid years.
I like to donate and get dharma words for the hubby, kids, and myself. It’s peaceful and beautiful in the main temple, but no cameras are allowed. So no pics to show. Before entering, I also donate and burn incense for my family.

What a gorgeous temple! Amazing views of the mountains. I visited during the Chinese New Year celebration and the entire complex was beautifully decorated. Prayer halls were awe inspiring. Attendees and staff were very friendly and helpful. Educational and thought provoking materials throughout the complex. There's a museum gallery as well. Parking can be tricky but they do have a parking lot so I imagine on regular days there would be available parking. During the New Year celebration, there was a shuttle service that we didn't use. We parked in a neighborhood nearby and walked to the temple. Definitely worth a visit 👍🏽

Very stunning place to visit. The sense of your spirit calm and at peace when you walk around is refreshing. Very tranquil. I loved it.

Beautiful temple that is open to the public daily. Lots of things to see. They also offer a vegetarian buffet. During lunar new year they have lots of events. Must visit if you are in the area. Largest Buddhist temple outside of Asia.

This is my first time to celebrate Chinese new year in a Chinese community, and it’s great!
The temple provided great arena for cultural activities. There are impressive performance from Chinese, Indian, and Aztec communities.
There are also delicious food stands and Girl Scout cookies sales at reasonable price. We got some Chinese steamed bread. They taste pretty good.
The view from the temple is also great.
It can be crowded in the temple and we recommend park in the neighborhood and walk up to the temple.

This is the first time I have been to this Temple, I have been to a few in the past, but this one is huge. Easy to get to, just inland from Bueno Vista Park, and the day we were there, it was pouring down, so we were there almost by ourselves. It is very well taken care of, the architecture is amazing and the grounds are beautiful. We were there for Lunar New Year, so it was a little bit more special. Very clean restrooms too, if you are thinking about going here, you should do it, it is well worth the drive up the mountain and it's free to get in.

This small temple is a serene getaway, offering a peaceful and charming escape. Despite its modest size, it creates an intimate atmosphere that's perfect for exploring and finding tranquility. The vistas are delightful and lend to a sense of calmness that anyone seeking a peaceful retreat would appreciate.
When visiting, you'll notice the lovely surroundings and experience a genuine sense of peace. It's not grand, but that's what makes it special; it's a quiet place that fosters a sense of calmness and relaxation. The views are beautiful, providing a sense of tranquility that's hard to find elsewhere.
This temple might not be the biggest attraction, but its serene ambiance makes it a must-visit for those seeking a peaceful escape. It's a delightful spot where you can enjoy a sense of calmness and soak in the beauty of the surroundings.

We visited on the Chinese new year, the parking was crowded, packed with people.
But the food was cheap and delicious! Worth to visit with your Chinese friends
I didn’t buy any tickets it was free

Today 2/24/2024 is the last day for the Lunar New Year celebration, Peace Lantern Festival. This place is a Gem for SoCal. A place where one can reflect and contemplate.
Jose Lim — Google review
Where to park: their parking is at Round 1 Le Puente plaza. From there, there were shuttles bus to the temple.
We didn’t know this so we went to temple and detour to the parking. So for those who visit the temple on new year days, be aware and plan ahead where to park.
Great to find a temple that has many Viet visiting for Tet/lunar new year. Many of us wear Ao dai-traditional custom that made me miss home Vietnam but at the same time, I felt incredibly grateful to have such place for us to celebrate and share our tradition.
Located on the mountain so the view was nice. Hard to take photos without random people bombing in. But that’s ok. We’re here for the Tet vibe.
Santa Monica Bay is a renowned destination known for its beautiful beaches, bustling piers, and opportunities for fishing and surfing. The bay offers a unique perspective of the Los Angeles Basin, extending from Santa Monica Bay to downtown Los Angeles and the San Gabriel Mountains. Visitors can enjoy various activities such as walking, swimming, and playing volleyball on the expansive beach. Additionally, there are plenty of dining options available along with amusement rides at the pier.
A must...take Ocean Park west as far as you can go, plenty of parking (early in the day) and then walk north to the Santa Monica pier or south to the Venice pier...two totally different experiences. Places to get a bite to eat, for the kids to play, or just sit on the beach...and watch the sunset...perfect!

I come from Greece and I am used to beautiful beaches and the sun. I did not expect to live this experience in LA though. The beach is really big, almost endless. The weather in March was hot enough to enjoy the ride and the walking but cold enough not to swim.
Alex Vandoros — Google review
Santa Monica offers something for everyone. If you have kids, the pier is the place with rides and lots of fun people watching. And there is a large choice of eating places, whether you want sit down in a restaurant or walk around. The beach goes forever and you can walk, swim, play volleyball, whatever suits you.

I live in Venice next to Muscle Beach, so I'm in the bay daily. Overall, it's really nice. It's very big and there's tons of sand. Rocks too on the edges, especially up north near Topanga. Go south and the inner edge into RPV is another planet. Back north and the hiking is world-class (with regard to day hikes). Probably never moving away from this bay. I love this bay so much. Sometimes it gets a little dirty, but we are working on that sorta.

Outlet mall Citadel Outlets features a variety of high-end retailers and restaurants. The mall is well-maintained and features beautiful decorations for Chinese New Year. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, and the staff in the stores are always happy to help. Parking options are plentiful, and walking around the mall is a fun experience. The food court here is great, with lots of options for various dietary needs.
Citadel is a beautifully decorated and maintained outlet shopping experience. This time they had decorations for the Chinese New Year. The atmosphere and shopping is excellent. The staff in the stores is friendly and welcoming.

This place is very disappointing.
When you read outlet, you think lots of stores. The options at this place are very small (not many sales and I came on labor day weekend) and I frequently have walked away empty handed!
There is no store here I can rave about.
The malls are even better than this “outlet.”
I gave it 3 stars because it is clean, parking is plenty&easy, and bathrooms are nice.
Jessica You — Google review
They have practically every outlet you can think of - from gap, guess and old navy to high end like emporio Armani and Tumi. Of course, there’s also Michael kors, coach, Kate spade, Disney, Steve Madden and Calvin Klein.
The building itself is quite impressive and the mall is well laid out.
There are many restaurants and food options too from Starbucks and jamba juice to chipotle, Cinnabon and auntie Annie’s

The Citadel Outlets is a popular shopping center located in Commerce. It's known for its outlet stores offering discounted prices on a variety of brand-name products. The center features over 130 stores, including fashion, accessories, and home goods. The architecture resembles a Babylonian fortress, giving it a unique and visually interesting design. It's a destination for bargain hunters and those looking for a diverse shopping experience.
Parking can be a madhouse so bring some extra patience with you when you come.
Jason Camorlinga — Google review
We found the Citadel Outlets really pleasant to shop at. It was not overly crowded like some of the Simon Premium Outlets we have been to in other cities in USA and Canada. Their Savings Passport, which you can sign up online to obtain, is actually useful and the shops allow you to use it to obtain further discounts
William Lin — Google review
Citadel outlets is huge shopping outlets mall. Lotta parking options. Lotta walking. Huge food court. Many hugh street shops. Great place for family.
Dominique Vivek — Google review
Not the biggest outlet town but it has majority of the big brands available. Place is nicely designed and there are signs and maps everywhere to help you get your way around instead of getting lost trying to find your favourite outlets.
The food available at the outlets could definitely be improved though, as there are less than 10 shops/restaurants there selling food. As the weather is cold, maybe would be good if there are more indoor seats around for people to rest in between shopping.
The staff in each of the outlet stores are mostly pleasant and helpful. No racism was encountered and they even assisted to unlock further discounts!
Jing Huang Lim — Google review
Here you’ll find stores like Coach, Nike, Kate spade, true religion, DKNY, and many others at this outlet. Considering it’s an outlet mall, they don’t always have the best offers.
The mall is nice and clean and plenty of parking space available.
I wish they had more stores and some better offers.
Overall it’s a 3.5 stars for me.

I'm from Arizona, the plants alone are amazing to look at. Lots of great stores and good deals. The food court wasn't too shabby either.

I love it here! Window shopping is the best🤩 Although I didn't buy anything, I went inside some stores just to look at stuff. I've been here a couple of times in the past and never got bored visiting this great place. Would definitely come here again in the future 😊

Citadel is MUCH better than it used to be years ago. It's definitely the best outlet center in the Greater LA Metro, and you no longer have to drive all the way to Cabazon (almost Palm Springs...) to find good prices.

Convenient to drive there, close to residence. Parking area is inside building which is good.
Not big, price is not competitive, doesn’t have much discount.

A decent size outlet with most of the shops that you would want.
I didn’t like the Nike or Coach outlets here as they barely had any of their items in stock, most of the other shops were all good.
We went over the Christmas period so it was very busy and hard to find parking, we ended up using the valet service for $8 which is well worth it for the day.

There's FREE parking structure with remaining parking spots left indicators. There's also an elevator and stairs. It is also lighted and well lit when it gets dark. There are also vending machines near the elevators and stairs on the bottom level. Love the seasonal decor. Great place to shop for great deals and enjoyed walking.

The place was so nice especially in the winter with black Friday, their deals when it comes to black Friday kinda changes to 50% and up but the deals are immaculate. Its a nice place to go either way

Loved the Christmas vibes throughout.
Great deals over Thanksgiving weekend. Kate Spade had 50-70% + 25% storewide. There’s also a pop up Lululemon but designs are limited in my size.
Pro tip: visit very early in the day, or closer to closing time to avoid the massive crowd. The place was PACKED!

Prices are very reasonable as well.
The Win~Dow Venice Boardwalk is a casual eatery that serves burgers, fried chicken sandwiches, and grain bowls alongside shakes and ice cream. Located on the Venice Beach Boardwalk, it's surrounded by numerous street vendors, performers, restaurants, bars, juice spots and shops selling souvenirs like sunglasses and shirts. The boardwalk is also home to medical marijuana dispensaries and a considerable population of homeless people.
This place was recommended to us by a friend who said this had the best fried chicken sandwich. He was not exaggerating.
Their chicken sandwich is not only affordable, but may indeed be the best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had.
First of all, they give a good slaw on this sandwich that is sweet and vinegary which is always what you need with something fried. They also put a nice, mild , tangy sauce on the buns.
The buns are one of my favorites so soft and pillowy and made fresh.
The chicken itself is incredible. Crispiest piece of chicken I’ve maybe ever had. Incredible flavor, super juicy on the inside, and again so crispy on the outside.
I also got their cheeseburger which was amazing. If you like pickles, they load these up! They also use a potato bun which I really enjoy. The bun almost “melts” around the sandwich giving such a good bite of food that holds together. The beef itself is super well seasoned and a little charred to give a nice crunch.
Come here for the best fried chicken sandwich you’ll ever have and an amazing cheeseburger!

After hearing such great things about this spot I was excited to try! Very surprised and disappointed at how my burger came out. Looks like half is missing! Flavors were good, but meat to bread ratio ruined the experience.

As always, best smash burger in town! Quality is high for such a low price. Ingredients always feel fresh and the pickles are one of the best ever. Fries are irresistible and service is quick.
Nathaniel Muñoz — Google review
Cheese burger was good, but not to die for or enough for me to go back. Definitely feels fresh and I loved the bun that it comes in. It is a small burger, but prices are reasonable. The fries were okay. Service was immaculate.

The window on Venice boardwalk is a delightful place to eat a hamburger. Often mistaken for a tourist trap the window on Venice boardwalk serves delicious Smash Burger Style sandwiches. But with a slightly thicker burger patty. The dance between the meat in the sauce it's awesome. Thick cut pickles add a different mouthfeel to the whole thing. It's a must-try went on Venice boardwalk and I highly recommend.
J. Bryant — Google review
Delicious and reasonably priced!
Usually, food on the boardwalk is a tourist trap that is not tasty and expensive, but this was the complete opposite experience. Service was quick; burgers were juicy and fries were fresh. There is a section off to the side where you can sit and eat - we were able to watch the sunset while enjoying our meal. I will be back to try the other items. There was also a hand sanitizer pump by the pick up window.
Rose Carmichael — Google review
The rundown...good and soft smash burger kind of like shake shack's. The fries are crispy, but a little over done for my taste. Still good regardless. The lemonade is very good... Really refreshing but without being too sweet.
Got that all for about ~$12 so it's a good deal in my opinion
Venice is a vibrant beach town with both upscale commercial and residential areas. The free-spirited Venice Boardwalk offers funky shops, colorful murals, a skate park and Muscle Beach outdoor gym. Foodie hot spots, stylish boutiques and coffee bars can be found along Abbot Kinney Boulevard.
Santa Monica Pier is an iconic seaside destination in Santa Monica, California. The pier features a range of shops and cafes, as well as an amusement park and aquarium. It draws in visitors at sunset for its beautiful views of the sky bursting into fiery shades of red and orange. Apart from its stellar scenery, there are plenty of activities on offer at the pier such as amusement park Pacific Park and fish aquarium Santa Monica Pier Aquarium.
Lively place, full of entertainment with so many fun activities nearby happening. Amazing place to roam around in the evening time specially. Always remains crowded, mainly due to the pacific park in the pier which is super cool with tons of rides and games to enjoy. Ample parking places available nearby, so parking is not a problem here. Probably one of the most happening night beach in California. Highly recommended to visit while in LA.

Had a great time here! Be ready for the crowds of people that come here and bring your jacket because it can get pretty cold. There are many great spots to take pictures and spend time with family and friends here. We enjoyed the views entering the pier area and leading down to the actual pier. There are a variety of food options and many vendors providing custom gifts. We had some amazing funnel cakes and bought souvenir pictures for our group. This is a great spot for a day or night experience.

Santa Monica Pier is fantastic place to visit both for tourists and locals. I'm sure locals don't come here on a busy weekend evening but our friends who live in Malibu come here quite a bit when its not crowded. It really is a fun and historic place... from being the last stop on Iconic Route 66 to the food shops available, street food, street performers and fantastic sunsets, this pier is huge with tons of life and activities.. You can easily spend 4 hours here so plan accordingly. The parking can be tricky as the weekends are very very busy but there are many underground nearby parking lots and if you don't mind taking a walk there is lots of parking deeper into Santa Monica away from the beach. The pier is just lots of fun and easily top destination when visiting Southern California. Also, the cost of trinkets and souvenirs is not that high since there is a lot of competition. Overall people are very friendly and patient.. everyone is here to enjoy themselves and eventually wait for the beautiful sunset.. so plan to get your spot on the pier to record an amazing California sunset.

This is a neat place to visit. There weren't many people when we came because it was right after the tsunami warning expired. It was nice to casually tour without too much foot traffic. Parking costs, so be prepared for that. We paid $10 and parked across the street in a garage. It's a nice place to see if you're a tourist.

What an amazing spot. The views are breathtaking. I'm impressed with how alive the place is, full of colours, buskers, and nice folks (and the occasional druggie shouting at something). I recommend you come watch the sunset from the pier. It's amaaazing!

The pier is too crowded and the beaches aren’t as nice. There are lots of birds and they will eat all of your food when you are trying to enjoy the beach. But I like how you can drive and park on the pier which makes it very convenient.

Beach is so beautiful.
Nice sandy beach and nice pier.
There is a parking fee of $15 .
Be ready to face crowds during summer holiday seasons.
Lot of rides for kids to have extra fun.
Some grip of street entertainers are also entertaining people with some dance and stunt show.. even drone shows after sunset.
In sort complete entertaining place for family ..

Santa Monica Pier is easily in my top 5 favourite places ever! I live in Canada, but I have made the effort to fly to LA at least once a year just to go to the pier, for the last 10+ years. The all-day wrist bands are priced well, and the rides are endlessly awesome! I highly recommend riding the roller coaster during sunset. It is breathtaking. The food options are great along the entire length of the pier, and the scenic views are lovely from all sides. This is a great place for a date night, family day out, or just a friends day! I even got a tattoo of Santa Monica Pier a couple of years ago; I really do love it!

It's a iconic location but beyond that there's little to experience in my opinion. The attractions are small (which is understandable on top of a pier) and pricy so you'd only ride them to be able to say you were there.
So the conclusion is that the ambiance on and around the pier is nice to experience and the real fun factor. The pier itself is not that special. After half an hour you've seen it all.
Glad to have walked on and around it, but no more than that.

Great food. Beautiful views. Lovely music. Lively atmosphere. High tourist concentration. Chaotic parking. Highly suggest parking in a cheaper garage and walking down here. We ate at the Albright before walking down to the end of the pier. We passed several musicians and singers along the way. The sunset from the end was stunning. Overall the entire experience was a chill, very relaxed walk down to the ocean. On the way back, we bought some churros from a lady selling them near the start of the pier. A great experience just to walk it. Didn’t do the amusement park.

Wonderful place. It was nice on a thanksgiving day but a few things you should consider visiting the pier. No business except the McDonalds offers guest access to restroom. So I recommend taking a pitstop well before you reach there. The multistory public parking was much cheaper than the surface parking (people with flags). Take your time, you will find the spot. Few well spent hours there!

The Santa Monica Pier is a vibrant coastal gem, teeming with life and energy. As you stroll along its iconic planks, the eclectic mix of interesting people captivates your attention. From the mesmerizing sounds of sitar players to the hordes of diverse individuals gazing over the vast expanse of the ocean, the pier is a sensory delight. The lively atmosphere, combined with the breathtaking views, makes it a must-visit destination for anyone seeking a unique blend of culture and seaside charm. Try not to get clapped by a pickpocket in the process though.

Santa Monica Pier is beautiful beach just 20 minutes drive away from Los Angeles, California. It is the best place to visit with family and love ones. It has its own amusement park equipped with world’s only solar powered ferries wheel and roller coaster.🎢

This is the best place to see in Los Angeles a lot of fun things to do! Pure beauty nice people nice vibe! Nothing can go wrong, I highly recommend. The fun fair was expensive so we didn't do any ride, with the same price I got a bunch of things from around the corner shops.

Santa Monica Beach is amazing. So many things to do. I like walking or riding on the beach trails. Walking on the pier, relaxing on the beach, eating at the restaurants on pier and watching the live entertainment. The people are really friendly and the weekend are always busy. Downtown Santa Monica is just steps away.

Jutting out into the Pacific Ocean at the intersection of Ocean and Colorado, it symbolizes the heart of Santa Monica and is one of the most photographed locations in the world.
Discover more than just a Pier, this is a destination where people come together to enjoy local culture and to reconnect with the Pier’s storied past.
Whether you are here to take in the incredible views, ride Pacific Park’s Ferris Wheel, hosting an event, or joining for another family-friendly activity, Santa Monica Pier is always a good place to be.

Good vibes, lots of people, vendors, food, and rides. Walking down the pier is such a fun experience and it is beautiful on a sunny day. You can find gift shops and vendors hawking their wares. Worth it for the touristy experience. Really great views at night to take photos of!
Be careful of the guys who are handing out CDs, don’t bother stopping and checking them out, otherwise they’ll ask you to pay for a CD that you don’t even have the means to play.

This was definitely a pretty pier, but they didn't have as much "pier food" as I was expecting. They had a couple windows, but it was mostly actual restaurants. No milkshakes or fried dough or anything. Great view, great rides. Arcade is $2 a game (better than the $5 you see some places...what happened to 10 cents a game? The good old days...) Anyway, parking can be far and a bit pricey, so be prepared to walk. Like I said though, excellent views of the water even at night!

My family went to Santa Monica Pier, and the first thing that surprised me was the huge sandy beach. It was the first time it took so long to walk to the beach. It was really impressive. What's more impressive is that there was a small theme park, so I got on the ride, and when I went up high, the view of the pier in the night sky was so beautiful. It feels like a different world, and it seems like it was in a video game, so I think all of my family will leave a good memory.

This iconic beach in Santa Monica is a must-see for anyone visiting the city. With its mild surf, wide range of businesses and easy access for visitors, it's perfect for all ages. The beach stretches 3.5 miles and can be divided by North of Pier and South of Pier so visitors can get their bearings. In winter, the beach becomes unrecognizable without the masses of people that flock to it in peak months, making it great for early morning walks.
Located just west of Downtown Los Angeles, Santa Monica Beach is a prime example of the famed Southern California state beaches.
With large expanses of beach, bike trails and many other things to do, Santa Monica Beach has everything you’re looking for:
Plenty of space–3.5 miles long
Soft, sandy shores for little feet
Walkable to hotels, shops and restaurants
Offers a variety of activities and attractions
Remember:
Santa Monica beach is not a dog beach. Leashed dogs are permitted along the boardwalk.

The beach is very big and clean. There are so many things to do at the pier. Various kind of rides and local food shops at the pier makes it a happening place. We tried coffee and veggie burger at two nearby shops and though little crowded, they were worth the wait. Be sure to keep masks with you, entrance in the shops without mask is restricted. There are also bicycle rentals just after the public parking area at the beach. The parking is available from sunrise to sunset with 7$ fee. There are many sand volleyball courts too. We loved our time there and will visit it soon.

It has really has golden sands, there is a huge area to enjoy sports, beach games, relax, rest, have drinks or simply lay down and enjoy the sun!
The beach is delicious, water temperature is just perfect (or at least it was in summer). The pier is beautiful and it has a great vibe and a lot of things to do and eat or drink 👍
There are many restaurant, bars and small stores in a huge side walk, perfect to ride bikes, rollerblades, or walk ;0)

There is always a moment in the day when you can relax on the beach. The best, in the morning with the fresh breeze of the sea or in the evening at sunset, magical, enchanting and sometimes cold!
You can swim, the water is surprising, be careful with the waves that can put the little ones on the sand. Otherwise it is magic a beach like this one in some miles of the city.

A very huge and very famous beach in Los Angeles. It is well known from hollywood movies and others. I liked very much, that is clean and the sand is soft are bright. I was also swimming and Ocean in September was still warm.
The paths along the beach are very nice. Separated for bike and pedestrians. Of corse did I photos from the Rescue huts- famous from Baywatch.

The Crypto.com Arena is a 21,000-seat multi-purpose arena located in Downtown LA, which has been home to the Los Angeles Lakers, Kings, Clippers and Sparks of the NBA; WNBA's Los Angeles Sparks; AFL's Los Angeles Avengers. The venue has also hosted Bruce Springsteen and Taylor Swift among many other top acts.
We went for Disney on Ice last month and it was great! Parking and getting in was easy and quick for those with vaccine records or record of a negative test already in hand. The LA Kings game was absolutely phenomenal. I didn’t realize how awesome of an experience it would be at a hockey game on the weekday. Not only was the purchasing of the tickets and easy process but also the parking as well. Of course the food was great. The drinks also. Although it is quite pricey it was still a great experience. I have to give a shout out to the hotdog vendors outside of the venue, those were amazing, and I highly recommend everyone to get some hotdogs before and after the game. I was even impressed with the waiters who came to service in our seats that was an interesting and very convenient feature. I’m definitely coming back and bringing more people with me to an LA Kings hockey game.

Iconic venue in the middle of downtown that plays host to a wide array of sports, concerts, and other events. Parking may be tough, but once inside, everything is clean and modern and there are tons of food choices (the prices, especially for alcohol, are quite inflated though). Even the cheap seats have a good view, although they're a little higher up than normal thanks to all the boxes.

Came for Hockey! LA Kings vs. The Maple Leafs.
Ate food at Salt and Char (their fries were perfectly crispy and good but burger was eh).
For such a frequently visited arena, I would think they would provide better food. Even the Dodger’s stadium has good food!
My husband and I found parking nearby and it was for $30. Didn’t have to walk far at all.
They do have plenty of restrooms so that was good cause them lines get LOOOONG!!
Inside, seating is kinda scary at the top (I feel I could easily topple over) but it’s pretty nice and when the bass is used, you can feel it to the point where it vibrates throughout your whole body and could make breathing feel different.
I’m sure the suites and closer seating is nice. Hopefully, one day can afford to experience that!

My first time there at the Crypt and it was very nice! Went to a Kings game. Kings lost to San Jose.
Since it was a Kings game it wasn't packed so getting drinks wasn't too long.
Bathrooms are a different issue. Long lines even though the arena was half empty. Go early if you can to beat the lines.

A historical place, feels surreal inside. The rafters, the retired jerseys and everything else you see on TV, just come to life. The arena feels much bigger compared to other ones I have been to. The arena does a good job of keeping the crowd energetic. Lots stars can be spotter during the game.
The merchandise store has long lines before the game, but they vwr fast. The store lacks in inventory of different sizes of different product.
There are lots of dining options, but they are all unrealistically expensive. You will easily spend $50 eating a hot dog and drinking a beer.
Overall the arena feels very safe and secure. Has lots of exits, so getting out after the game is convenient.

I came here for the Celtics & Lakers game on 7 December. I had a great experience visiting. The arena is very logically laid out and the food was tasty (albeit pricey). Check in was very efficient and the staff were very kind. Even in the cheap seats I had, it was still a good view. The huge screens help and add to it as well. I even won a jersey!

I have not been here since about 2013 and I must say it was still an amazing experience. Plenty of concession stands everywhere, restrooms available in short distances. For it being LA the food prices is not too bad, same with the beverages. I was fortunate enough to sean in section 101 row 1, fantastic view of the Lakers game. Staff was very friendly and always available to help with any questions you may have. It was a full house and the energy was great, I will definitely make plans to come back. I might also do a different event all together.

It was clean in the public area, our seating in 300s was not, the entrance for American express holders was perfect to get in easily and parking was free if you go early enough. The down was that the food kiosks weren't open when we went in and Section 300s are way too high up.
They were kind to let us go out front to smoke, but having to have the original tickets to get back in was a pain, my husband had to come get me from the 300s. Maybe they need to find a balcony for the smokers there weren't many or stamp their hands with a different stamp every night.

The Broad is a contemporary art museum located in DTLA, featuring a distinctive honeycomb-like exterior. The 120,000-square-foot space houses over 2,000 pieces of art including canvases, sculptures, and immersive installations. The collection includes works by renowned artists such as Jeff Koons and Andy Warhol. Visitors can explore new installations by artists like Roy Lichtenstein and Kara Walker.
Parking is easy and $17 all day on the weekends. You will need to request your tickets online. Masks are required and vaccinations cards are also checked. The museum architecture is really cool. If you do not like art don’t waste your time going here. The restrooms are nice and clean. Would not recommend taking young children here.

Art museum showcasing the Broad family collection. You have to make ticket reservations online in advance; note that the general admission ticket is separate from the infinity room tickets, so you need to make sure you select both things when reserving tickets. The infinity room tickets go fast, so you need to make them at least a month in advance. There’s a parking lot but it’s $17 for three hours; you can try your luck at city lot instead for $9/$10. Tickets are free but they do have special exhibitions which are paid-admission.
Masks were encouraged but not required when we went. No food or beverages allowed. Backpacks need to be worn in front of your body. Some of the art was not kid-friendly, and there are warning signs indicating such. There are restrooms on the second level. You take the escalator up to the third floor and work your way around. You can get a peek at storage while taking the stairs down to the second/first level. Overall, it’s a really fun way to spend a couple of hours to a full day looking at an eclectic mix of art.

Did you know that The Broad gives away free tickets every month? Check their website in the last Wednesday of each month to claim your tickets for a free visit in the upcoming month!
Whether you like the art or not it's clearly a beautiful space, well laid out, plenty of room for exhibits of all sizes, from intimate to enveloping. The staff are diligent in their commitment to keeping the art safe and secure but still allow for curious people to respectfully approach various works close up to admire the details of technique and materials used.
I personally love the collection as an introduction to contemporary art for anyone interested in the "broader" themes (intended) of the modern art world. Not every piece is to my taste but the cultural importance of the collections is undeniable.

The museum is also very well designed and even when crowded, it didn’t feel too overwhelming. I had a great time here and recommend anyone in town to visit.

The museum has some beautiful art and I love that they give a little gift if you find all the items on the app. The employees were really friendly and helpful. I liked that they were really strict of wearing the mask all the time while inside.

The Broad was a magnificent artistic landmark. A terrific way to spend the time in the center of Los Angeles. The museum exhibits both contemporary and traditional art.
It is extremely advised. The Infinity Mirror room is also complimentary, although it requires a separate reservation. Because the Infinity room has a limited capacity, booking in advance is strongly advised to avoid disappointment.

Best to buy tickets in advance online to enjoy the whole experience that the museum provides. General admission was also very cool but will have to come back and buy tickets to see the special stuff. Would be cool if everyone could see everything, but I do understand business is business. We came here spontaneously while I was in town visiting a friend and definitely made some memories. The general admission line for people who didn't have reservations or tickets took us around 30 minutes to get through. Not a bad wait for the experience!

Have you heard of galleries with stuffy old people acting like prison guards? Think again then 😀 Charming and friendly informative staff. The building is a gem with great natural light which feels like it's through Venetian blinds. Then the exhibition which is jam packed full of iconic pop art on a monumental scale in a gallery built specifically for the purpose. And it's free! What are you waiting for? Go and visit

What a great modern art museum and in such a cool building. We got tickets for general admission + the infinity room about 3 weeks ahead of time, for free. You just have to remember to check at 10am on the last Wednesday of the month.
The tickets for the infinity room are timed but we showed up about an hour early and had time to go through the entire third floor and get in line for the infinity room, getting us to the front of the line at exactly our ticket time. We then went through the first floor room in about 15min. We loved the infinity rooms even if you only get 1min. The third floor rooms were more interesting than downstairs with larger pieces.
The building itself is great, with lots of cool dark concrete stairways. We spent about 90min here.

Free Admission!! Get tickets online. Easy process, just need to choose a time slot. Great place to visit, had a few Andy Warhol.
There was one exhibit that showed a film that is not recommended for children..
You do have to pay for parking, I parked like a block away for $10 all day (Sunday) parking.

We booked tickets the morning of. They are free reservation tickets but I recommend getting them in advance because I believe they do "sell out". Firstly, the architecture of this building is incredible. The building itself is a work of art and was mind blowing just walking through the entrance. The art pieces are fascinating as well and so entertaining to look at and gain some inspiration from. It was not too crowded and was pretty easy to check everything out quickly. The exhibit is not huge and can most likely be looked through in about an hour. I highly recommend checking out The Broad as it is in a great spot of DTLA and has some iconic pieces.

Such a great museum. Always has cool stuff on and a great collection upstairs. Awesome building too! Plus its completely free! Just reserve a timed ticket online. A must see if visiting LA

A gem of an art museum that is more or less a storage facility for the massive BROAD COLLECTION. Just a small portion of the collection is on display at a time but there are some magnificent pieces to explore. Did I mention that it’s free? To get tickets just go online and select your time slot. The whole thing will take you about an hour so it’s a great way to have lunch and do a little adventure in downtown LA while you’re in town.

We enjoyed our visit, but the main draw was the Keith Haring exhibition, which is now gone. It's a small museum, it took us less than 2 hours to see everything.
Undergroung parking was plentiful, but rather expensive. They have a large crew of people directing you to your parking spot.

I visited The Broad with my daughter when she visited from Washington state recently. She had come to the art museum once before but it was my first time and I loved it! All different types of contemporary art- from literary pieces to sculptures- everything was amazing! They have paintings from well known artists like Picasso and Andy Warhol along with pieces by artists I was not familiar with .
You can visit The Broad for free and, although it doesn't require a reservation, I suggest making one online. When we arrived there were 2 sides sectioned off at the entrance. The side for people with reservations was clear and we were able to walk right up and go inside. The side for no reservations was backed up to the outside sidewalk. On the first floor there is also a section of art displayed but to see this part of the museum there is a fee. We didn't visit this part of The Broad but when I do go next time I'll pay the small fee to see this part as well!
I recommend visiting The Broad for anyone who enjoys contemporary art. The staff were all very kind and helpful as well!

I'm not usually a fan of art museums because its pretty hard for me to understand the creative vision. However, this one in particular was all over my Instagram feed, and it looked great. The most popular attraction is the Mirror Room Exhibit. Entry is free into the museum and the mirror exhibit, but you have to reserve your tickets on the museum website about a month in advance, and there are reservation options with and without the mirror room. There is about a 30 minute wait to get into the mirror room, and you only get to be in there for 1 min. That one minute is absolutely worth the wait, since the room is beautifully lit up. Great place to take pictures. Other places to get cute pictures is next to the giant metal balloon dog, and the oversized dining table. It takes about an hour to see the whole museum not including the wait time for the mirror room. Its a great display of modern art for people who love art and also for those that don't really understand it. There are also some other paid exhibits that require separate tickets on the website, but I did not see any of those.

You have to have reservations to go to this museum. This is a wonderful museum real spacious the art is Giant and very interesting. There's no restaurant or amenities associated with it. The hot dog cart outside on the street is the bomb.

Possibly the best contemporary art museums on the West Coast. Phenomenal collection. Free tickets that you have to reserve in advance from their website. Onsite parking is secure and a bit pricey at $17 on weekends but you can park here and explore other parts of downtown on foot like Little Tokyo, MocaLA (across the street from the Broad, also free) and Geffen Contemporary.

It’s small but they have great variety of contemporary art here, different sculptures and some interactive pieces. The architecture is absolutely stunning, and it’s fun to walk around. Spent about an hour or two here and I had a great time.

This is a nice pop art museum in downtown LA. The tickets are free, but you need to reserve them online. The infinity mirror exhibit requires a different ticket, but also free. We came here last minute and could only secure the general admission. It's about 1.5 to 2 hours of leisurely walking with plenty of places to rest if you choose to do so. The parking is right under the museum and costs $17 (as of 2/6/24) for three hours and you will need your validate your ticket right inside of the exit door.
Note: you can check out the Miseum of Contemporary Art right across the street. It’s a bit smaller than the Broad, but for three hours of parking, you have enough time to see both very nice contemporary art museums.

I love the Getty. But I very much enjoyed also this museum. It's not nearly as large but it's got a very impressive collection of notable artists like Basquiat and Jeff Koontz that big balloon dog and the Michael Jackson and his chimp bubbles statue.
I really had a nice time.

Visited this in June 2023. Place is famous for its great masterpieces and infinite mirror. They are very strict with the timing so I suggest you to book an appointment in advance and make it to right time. We really had good time seeing all the arts and creativity. The parking is complimentary if you have booked the visit with them and you need to get it reimbursed/tagged before heading back to parking lot. There are many nearby attractions like vintage cable cars. The skyline 🏙️ from this place is really impressive.
The Walt Disney Concert Hall is an iconic, modern concert hall designed by architect Frank Gehry. The venue is the home of the Los Angeles Music Center and regularly showcases performances by the LA Philharmonic. The hall is also popular for self-guided audio tours, which are available at all times.
Absolutely incredible! The architecture is just breathtaking. Every corner that you turn is a new surprise. The concert hall itself is so incredibly laid out that acoustically it's one of the best concert Halls I've ever visited in the entire world. And it's just gorgeous. Visit for the architecture alone, but absolutely enjoy the music. Especially there new works programs. Can't wait to go again.

I was unable to tour the inside for very long as they close at 2pm, however the upstairs garden is amazing. You are able to go through several different floral scenes and fountain. There are also a variety of places you are able to sit, which allows for some solitude in this busy LA area. I would often find myself reading or studying here as this is a great peaceful place to extend your break or stretch your legs. There are elevators available if you have a wheelchair which I found to be very useful! Great spot, glad we explored around even though it was close to closing time.

A very unique building, an iconic place in LA.
I did not attend a show or enter the building, but simply walking around the building and observing its curves, I was impressed at the architecture and design - unlike any other building I have seen.
An interesting fact is that the exterior was supposed to be built of stone, but because of budget shortcomings, it was decided to make of stainless steel. Having seen the steel, I think it looks better than what stone would have looked.
During opening hours, you are able to walk around the entire building. There is a lovely garden with shady trees at the rear of the building, and some nooks that make for a good photo opportunity.

Really enjoyed wandering around the Walt Disney concert hall! There’s a free audio tour with lots of descriptive stops across multiple floors, where you can learn more about the vision of the building, the history, and how it was made. Good narrations spanning many different points of view. An absolutely captivating architectural feat both inside and out. Home of the LA Philharmonic. Hope to be back soon for a concert!

It's very beautiful and stunning..we took a tour of the entire building, it's elite. There is paid parking nearby, and a lot of parking areas are there. There is no free parking if u are looking for one. But the best thing is u can also visit the Broad and angels flight and central market. Plus u can also take a metro to Griffith observatory bus stand from that area. So many places u can cover n pay for just one parking.
The hall is marvelous and the building terrace is pretty too. N it's open on weekends because Google says it's not.

I went to hear the LA Phil play Prokofiev Symphony 5, two other pieces were on the concert including Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto #2. This was an exciting performance. The piano soloist was exceptional both technically and musically. Prokofiev was gorgeous, this was my first time hearing Prokofiev 5 live and it was a real treat. The orchestra sounds so polished!

The Walt Disney Concert Hall is a beautiful, magical spot, inside out! A definite must experience place in Los Ángeles. The ticket booth is on 1st and Grand as well as some iconic steps. When you walk in there are lots of staff members available to direct you to your seats/ floor. There is a cafeteria and bar on the main floor. Prices are at a premium yet all the choices look excellent- subs, salads, candy, cookies, chips, bar drinks. The concert hall is absolutely magical. Incredible, clean sound from the bohemian strings performance we listened to. The gift shop is filled with unique and cool items! Large, clean restrooms available. Parking is $10 in the underneath structure.

Directly across the road from The Broad Museum. The Walt Disney Concert Hall is an absolutely stunning work of architecture from Frank Gehry, who also designed (among others) The Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain. The sweeping metal exterior panels of the building are intended to portray the architects love of sailing.
The Concert Hall's stunning visuals (both interior and exterior)are matched by its amazing acoustics which can be experienced by its resident orchestra, The LA Philharmonic, among other performances by various artists throughout the year.
Guided or self guided tours are available free of charge, daily from 10am to 3pm.

Review for a self guided walk-in tour of the building and grounds.
The building and grounds are stunning. It's worth to walk around and explore. To the left of the building (outside) there are stairs that leads to the gardens with views of downtown. It's a great place to experience the dimensions of the metal structures. A glimpse of Frank Gehry's designer's mind! Great place to watch the sunset and to take incrediable photos.
I was able to walk around the lobby and see this architectural beauty from the inside. I'm not sure if it is open to the public but you should definitely try if you are there already!

Awesome building inside and out. The signage inside could be a little better, but there were courteous ushers at every door, so finding your way around won't be very difficult. The seating is just roomy enough to be comfortable. It was a bit creaky though, and if people in the row above move, you will feel their movement. Sound was great, and views in the orchestra section were amazing. The gardens outside are a nice touch. I would love to come back soon to see another concert. Also, the store had wonderful novelties and gifts!

Visually beautiful building designed by Frank Garry. The patio outdoor spaces are great with lots of shade.
The interior is amazing. The accustics are really good, even at the very back balcony. The view to the orchestra and performance is great.
I came to see a musical with my kids. It was an amazing experience. They loved it and have lots of fun. It's something I had always wanted to do. Not many people visit this place as an attraction but let me tell you that you are missing out.
Most of the performances are from non commercial artists and that is probably why there is not of interest in attending. Hopefully with more reviews people can start attending and appreciate the building and experience it brings to LA travelers.

This beach has many trails that lead to beautiful viewpoints, making it a popular destination for hikers and nature lovers. The Point Dume area also features rocky coves and ancient sand dunes, making it an ideal place to spend a day sunbathing or swimming.
Enjoyable sunset views and overlooking the beach! Love this place!

I had a great experience at the cliffs. Just be careful and don’t fall.
There are only few parking spaces here. You can park along Dume Dr (1/2 mile from Point Dume, about 10-minute walk)

Love this spot! It's like going to Big Sur without all the driving. Relatively secluded from housing and commercial projects, Point Dune is just past Malibu and features exciting cliffs that overlook an endless ocean. Looking down you can see the thrill of the water hitting rocks hundreds of feet below you with a fear and awe that makes you feel alive. There's also nice paved trails to the beach where surfers can enjoy the pleasant waters.
Only bad thing is very limited parking. But there's additional parking few streets down - be prepared to walk a lot.

One of our very favorite beaches. During the week is cost 6 dollars to park all day. The weekend was 8. It's clean and beautiful. There is a small simple hike through beautiful wildflowers. Gorgeous views from the stop. From what I saw it's not stroller friendly. Dogs are not allowed because of the wildlife that lives there. The one day we went there were many pods of dolphins, whales and sea lions. I have seen people rock climbing. I highly recommend this place. Clean bathrooms. Oh and they except card and cash for payment.

This place seemed like a staple of Malibu. If you pass by Malibu make sure to check out Point Dume. A word of advice, the parking for the Point Dume beach does get full quickly so perhaps arriving earlier might help. The sight is beautiful and if you walk the length of the trail you’ll come upon a section of cliff that looks out into the ocean, underneath you can hear and see the seals. There's public stair access to the cove and a walking path that has a boardwalk for part of it. The trail leads you around to the main outcrop, but there's plenty of viewing spots along the way. Keep an eye out for the beautiful flora and fauna, including seals and sea lions. You might even see dolphins if you're lucky! An easy walk about a mile or so. It's an amazing sunset view.
Usually, as scenic as you can imagine so pictures and videos always look amazing.
Unfortunately, there's only 1 bench that seats 2, noticeable noisy cold wind is always blowing, and the walking surface is exposed to rock, like hiking trail rocks & debris with noticeable amounts of dust in the air. You get an odd mix of fresh ocean breeze and sandy rock dust from the surrounding bluffs & hills.

One of the most recognizable landmarks of coastal Southern California! Here I’ve really enjoyed hiking Point Dume whenever I’m in the area. It offers benefits of exercise with the awesomeness of nature!
The famous shape can be seen throughout the Santa Monica Bay curved coastline.
For perspective, Point Dume is said to be at the western terminus of Santa Monica Bay, on the north side, whereas the southwest end would be at Palos Verdes Peninsula.
On a clear day the bluff top views are the best, with coastal Los Angeles County visible all the way down to Palos Verdes. Somewhere in between, I’ve even spotted the LA skyscrapers in the background!
From Westward Beach, trails traverse the hill along the oceanside or around the hill and up the bluff from Cliffside Drive
Since Point Dume must be hiked to reach the hill tops or bluffs, some visitors may opt for the easier, more direct way to get up via Birdview Avenue and Cliffside Drive. Vehicles aren’t permitted to stop along either street, though available spaces may be found along Cliffside Drive at the Dume cove parking lot, signs permitting, including at least two handicap designated spaces.
Trails are made of hard packed rocky soil and clays, and well maintained, tho still may be a bit bumpy for handicapped wheeled access.
The recommended trails are roped off from natural protected land, as well as being a means of keeping us safe. I’d urge caution when passing along the cliffside, as some spots may be close to the edge and eroded.
There’s still more hiking for the adventurous. An inclined trail extends down beneath the cliff to a quiet beach below the southeast side of the bluffs, called Big Dume Beach. Further along the beach narrows into Little Dume Beach and still further is Paradise Cove.
There’s no shade cover, so I’d suggest preparation, for any expected length of time here, to dress accordingly and use sunscreen.
Lastly, as Point Dume is a public place next to an upscale neighborhood, visitors may be mindful of the residents. Understandably, the surrounding homes have among the highest property values of any real estate in California! As such, residents have regular patrols and surveillance to protect their community.
The nearest public restrooms may be found at Westward Beach. If that one’s closed, I’d suggest looking towards the large restroom at the Dume State Beach entrance and lastly, Zuma Beach.

We went to Point Dume, last week when they had extraordinary waves and wind and warnings to stay away from the beach. Of course, this attracted the surfers and made for great people watching in extraordinary circumstances with waves higher than we have ever seen and fierce winds. It was a fun experience and the sky felt magical. Because of the amount of rain LA has been experiencing, everything felt lush and green, and we found some good hiking nearby. If you are driving through Malibu, make this the stop for your day and you will feel amazing for the day. Parking was okay for us, but if you are trying to go the hilltop and park, don’t make the mistake we did and drive up the hill – park on the beachfront parking and walk because there are only 6 spots at the top of the hill.

Dodger Stadium is the third-oldest stadium in MLB and was opened in 1962. It is located in Elysian Park, in Los Angeles, and has a seating capacity of 56,000. The Dodger Stadium has seen many successful years for the Dodgers since its opening and has been home to an MVP (Clayton Kershaw) and 3 World Series titles.
What can you say , it’s a historic landmark! I love coming to the stadium ⚾️🧢 the culture the team and just the overall excitement of attending a Dodgers game. I find the staff to be always helpful and super friendly. Pricing it is relatively very very inexpensive for what you get tickets range from anywhere between $10-$80 depending on which seats you would like, in my opinion I think they’re all pretty good seats it’s all about the experience. Parking is about $20 and it’s a bit of a walk to the stadium but look at it this way you can walk off your dodger dog and nachos and get your steps all at the same time.
Now, Play Ball 🏟⚾️

Fun, fun, fun. Great crowds, lots of parking, good staffing, interesting photo op areas inside the gates, stores for souvenirs, family activities, game day food of a great variety, dodger dogs of course, and drinks for the young and old. Note- cash is not the payment of choice in the stands, cards are preferred if not only allowed. The stadium is well kept & the mature plants on the grounds are beautiful. The sky above the stadium dances with those famous southern California clouds as you enjoy the day at the Ball game, performing "the Wave" with the crowd in the stands. Take YOURSELF to the ball game, and enjoy!!!!

Great place to watch a baseball game but there are some shortfalls. Good selection of concessions and food items especially Dodger Dogs. Due to it being an older Stadium, it is difficult to get around to find your seats as you need to find the correct stairs or elevator to reach your level. Right and left field pavilion seats are on benches. Parking at the stadium is a mess after games. Takes forever to leave the parking area as you are sitting in traffic for over 30 minutes not moving. I suggest you use the Metro Dodger Express Shuttle from Union Station or South Bay Station for a much easier experience getting to and from the stadium.

I went to the stadium tour and learned so many things about dodgers’ history and how beautiful their stadium is! You can also go into the field and that made me so excited! The dodgers is stadium is one of the most amazing stadiums I’ve ever been to! The season has started and I’ll come back to their games next time! I love LA and dodgers. Let’s go dodgers!!

I love baseball and I've been to about a dozen parks, this is one of the best. Where most clubs tear down the old and build new, the Dodgers have meticulously maintained and augmented this wonderful art Deco Park. Make sure to take the tour - yes there is a tour - before the game to get the full impact. Dodgers fans will appreciate the extensive exhibitions throughout the ballpark. Go Braves!

What can you say about an icon that turns 60 this year? I hope I look that good when I'm that old. All of the staff that our little group interacted with were very courteous and helpful. The prices for the food and drinks were a little more than I thought it should of been, but just figured it's LA. The food was very good the garlic fries smelled great.

A beautiful ballpark and awesome environment for any sports/baseball fan. Even if you're not a fan, check out the park for a nice time in the scenic outdoor park.
Some advice: If you do go to a game, definitely go early to beat the traffic or... consider parking outside the stadium to avoid the traffic after the game. Parking is also $20-30!

Such a great time! All of the workers were friendly. The parking lot staff had traffic moving in and out with ease. You do have to pre pay for parking. Also they don't allow purses or bags, but you can bring see threw back packs. I saw a ton of people that brought snacks in them. And, we bought smart water for $7 bucks a piece. When the lady checked us out, she told us that they allow you to bring water bottles in the stadium.

We❤️everything Dodgers, including the crowds, the noise, and the stadium BUT they've changed 🌭 vendors (Stick with veggie dogs), and food/drink prices will set you back like Disney. BE SMART=Fill your clear tote with plastic water bottles you can refill for free and a few snacks like🥜,🍿, and cotton candy from the Dollar Store. Then, when you splurge on $20 nachos,🍻, and maybe the (all beef, grilled) Dodger Dog, it won't hurt too much. 😉😋💙GO DODGERS!💙

This is my first time ever in a stadium and I have to say it was an enjoyable experience. Although I am not a baseball fan, I did like the game... besides, the Dodgers won that evening! The stadium has capacity for 56,000 people but it doesn't feel crowded. The seats are well spaced, and the rows are not too narrow. The food was OK. The Dodger Dogs were tasty, but the fries were too salty, and a bottle of water is $7, so a bit expensive (somewhat like airport bottled water, ha ha!). I will say that I look forward to coming back!

Well what can I say, dodger stadium. Attended a game here on our first trip to Los Angeles and of course it was an incredible experience. I read a little bit about the best gate to enter we found proceeded into the stadium. The stadium itself is incredible tons of food and drink options. We're able to get some dodgers clothing for relatively cheap and make our way to the upper portion to find our Seats. The choices of food were a little lacking in the upper portion so I suggest getting what you want to eat on the ground level there is way more options. The view was absolutely picturesque. The game was incredible Dodgers won the game. We left one inning early to beat the traffic and had no trouble getting out. Police everywhere directing traffic and stopping traffic it was a breeze. Yes remember coming in and out there are residential areas so it can be a little tight.

It's a very clean stadium. The atmosphere is amazing. Sadly, the dodgers lost, but it was a fun game. The food options are good. Their was a drone show at the end, and it was awesome it was so cool. Overall, a good experience would be recommended.

I love Dodger stadium! Great food, great views, and so much fun! Make sure to get there early (30 min to an hour at least) because parking and the line to get in can take a lot of time. Also, make sure to get a Dodger Dog!

Amazing venue!
Great place to experience a concert under the LA stars. Concession stands also offered really cool Dodgers souvenir drink options worth checking out. We purchased a cool wine carafe with built in cups, all reusable and practical. Staff was also very friendly. Great experience all in all.

Dodger Stadium has really changed since I was a kid! Downside: Farmer John no longer makes the Dodger Dogs, which seems like a sin. Upside: the Pavilion is a great place to experience the love game but still keep the kids entertained (jungle gym), keep up with other sports (the sports bars) and you don't miss the game because of the large screens and unassigned seating. Make sure you get a pic at field level under the "Blue Heaven on Earth" sign!

My first experience at Dodger Stadium was as vibrant as I've seen on TV. An early setback for the Dodgers sucked the energy out of the place.
Transportation was a breeze, thanks to the Dodger shuttle from Union Station. Despite the queue, the frequent buses ensure an effective boarding experience.
I arrived ahead of game time to snap some photos and enjoy a brief stadium tour. Entry was efficient and hassle-free.
While there was a notable line for refreshments outside, it thins out during the game — a tip for those wanting to avoid the wait.
The Dodger fans were gracious hosts to some Arizona fans I spotted on the bus.

Rick the supervisor was very unkind, I noticed another customer open and extend their shirt and the XL was extremely big. I went up to Rick and told him I didn't realize the XL shirt was so big and if he could do a one time exception that the shirt was still packaged and unopen. He proceeded that he couldn't make that exception that if he did it for me he had to do it for everyone. Now, if you're only going to offer the customers medium or XL jerseys they why don't you mention that before people purchase the tickets. And make sure the fit size chart is available for the customer. Such an inconvenience.

Attending my first game at Dodgers Stadium was an unforgettable experience! The atmosphere was electric, and being surrounded by fellow fans made it even more exhilarating. What truly stood out, though, was the exceptional service provided by the staff.
From the moment I arrived, the staff members were incredibly friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Whether it was directing me to my seat or answering my questions, they did so with a smile, adding to the overall enjoyment of the game.
However, I did notice that the cleanliness of the bathrooms left something to be desired. While I understand the challenges of maintaining high traffic areas during events, I hope the stadium management can address this issue to enhance the overall experience for attendees.
Additionally, while the food options were decent, I would have loved to see a larger variety available. While classic stadium fare is always appreciated, offering a wider range of culinary options would cater to a broader audience and enhance the dining experience for all.
Overall, despite a few minor areas for improvement, my time at Dodgers Stadium was fantastic thanks to the wonderful staff and the electric atmosphere. I look forward to returning for future games and witnessing more unforgettable moments.

The DodgerFest was a really fun event. There were many activities and booths to purchase Dodger memorabilia. It is a fun filled day for kids and adults. The food booths were open and serving all your favorite Dodger grub and beverages. There is free parking and you can sit in the stadium to take a break from all the fun. This is a great event geared towards kids and fans having fun enjoying all things Dodgers

Well it is the Dodgers stadium, a fan friendly home baseball field for the Dodgers. The food fare is great, Seats positioned well, views are great. Some parking situation that can be remedied but who doesn’t have a parking problem with thousands odd cars flocking the area during a game. Well balanced staff for each area.

Finally, I got to see the Dodgers play here not long ago, and they did not disappoint! The stadium is huge and has some of the best dogs ever!
We enjoyed the game and the atmosphere here. I can't wait to come back next year and do it all again, Lord willing! The parking was the only thing a bit dodgy here. We expected that, though, so no real surprise.
Thanks for a fantastic day of baseball!

It's all in the little details, and this classic stadium has them in spades. From the sun, surf, and sand colored seating...to the beautifully curated landscaping, this place is a jewel. I adore coming here to watch baseball and have fun with other fans. It's always a great time. The staff are friendly and helpful, the parking is plentiful and there are plenty of options for food. Getting in and out of the parking can be busy and tricky, but you should expect that with so many people navigating around it at the same time. I suggest parking farther away from the stadium near an exit for the best experience. Also a good idea to study a map of the stadium before you go so you know which parking lot to use for your seating, so you can avoid having to climb all the stairs to get to your level. Go Dodgers! Blue Heaven!

Paradise Cove Rd is a narrow and tree-lined roadway that leads to a charming sandy beach and cafe in Malibu, California. The beach has been used for filming for many tv shows including "The OC," "Baywatch," and "The Rockford Files." The cafe also extends onto the beach, with all of its amenities available to rent. It can cost $$$ to reserve a spot on the sand, but the view is well worth it.
We took a trip to Southern California and drove up the coast past Pepperdine University and we found this gym an old surfer and movie hangout from the '50s and '60s. The food was good. We had calamari as an appetizer and then dove into the main course. Take a look at the pics

Located in Malibu, CA, Solstice Canyon is a popular hiking area with trails of varying difficulty. The park also features a waterfall, wildlife, and dog walking.
A beautiful beautiful place to visit during spring. The wild mustard flowers and the sunflowers blooming literally everywhere on the mountain make the hike so so so worth it. Perfect for a moderate to steep hike. Best time to visit the place early morning when the sun is not over the head.
Arpita Biswas — Google review
30 minutes each way if you take the paved road from the parking lot, but for better views start by going up the steps to your right at the beginning of the paved road. Somewhat overgrown but manageable. This trail starts out very sunny but after about 20 minutes you are in a shady forest. Very cool fallen tree across the creek on this section. The end of the trail at the waterfall is very narrow and somewhat anticlimactic. You can get close to the waterfall but there are warnings to not cross the barriers or get into the water or you face a $5,000 fine or 6 months in jail. Nice trail, good views, cool old ruins of the homes up there, but if you are looking for a waterfall to get close to or wade in the water, look elsewhere.

Got there at 7 in the morning to get easy parking. A moderate hike for this 65 year old to get to the waterfall. Early morning fog made it a cool wonderful temp. Keep to the left and stay on Solstice Canyon road to avoid thick foliage and slippery rocks and water crossing. I loved this hike and plan to do it again.

A beautiful place to hike in a gorgeous part of the state. This is one of my favorite hiking areas in Malibu and depending on the time you go parking is usually pretty easy. There are many different trails with varying lengths and difficulties. One of the first attractions you’ll see is the Keller House which burned down in 2007 but now currently is gated off so you cannot go inside.

This park is amazing! The views are breathtaking and is a nice scenic hike. I like to walk up through the mountains first and down to the foundation of the house/ waterfall area. HOWEVER, there is a VERY ATTRACTIVE park ranger that protects and looks over that space 😍. Protect him at all cost! I’m sure ppl hit on him often, and lawd I understand why. Moral of this story… go take a hike!

Beautiful hike to a small waterfall and the ruins of a couple of former houses that existed in the canyon pre-park days. It's a 3 mile hike round trip - very easy to hike if you stay on the main trail. If you decide to detour up the TRW trail it's a little more challenging, and overgrown, but the wildflowers make it worth it. Parking is extremely limited, be prepared to park close to PCH and hike in to the trailhead (about 3/4 of a mile extra each way)

The Getty Museum is home to a vast and varied collection of art, ranging from ancient sculptures to modern paintings. The gardens are also popular with visitors, who can enjoy the lovely views while indulging in some delicious snacks or drinks at the on-site restaurant.
The Getty is one of the prettiest museums I’ve ever been to! The entrance is FREE but you do have to register online due to covid. Parking is $20 per vehicle but entrance per person is free. It is definitely worth it and the views are amazing! Their gardens are beautiful and the museums architecture is amazing! There is also these green areas were people just go and sit there to read a book or picnic! I could have stayed here the whole day! I went on a Friday early afternoon and there wasn’t a lot of people. So it was nice to enjoy it!

Great museum with lot of amazing paintings from internationally renowned artists. The drive up the hill with the small „train“ is great fun, entry is free but good luck getting there without a car (parking available for a considerable fee). Narrow parking spaces underground.

The Getty Museum is an absolute gem, and is an experience that combines stunning views, serene surroundings, captivating art, and remarkable architecture. During my visit, I discovered a multitude of reasons to fall in love with this place.
Sitting on top of a mountain offers gorgeous views and scenery that simply take your breath away. Finding a place to relax and unwind is never a challenge. With beautiful maintained lawns, gardens, water features and inviting benches scattered throughout the grounds, visitors can find tranquility. It's the perfect spot to sit back, soak up the sun, and revel in the beauty that surrounds you.
One cannot help but be captivated by the art and architecture within the Getty Museum. The exhibits showcase an impressive collection spanning various eras and genres. From classical sculptures and Renaissance paintings to contemporary installations, each piece tells a unique story, inviting visitors to delve into the world of artistic expression.
Exploring the museum's exhibits is a joy, as you have the freedom to stroll at your own pace. The convenience of the tram system for entering and exiting the museum is a thoughtful touch. Moreover, the fact that the Getty Museum offers free admission is commendable, as it provides access to art and culture for everyone.
However, it's worth noting that parking does cost but the experience and the amenities provided make it a reasonable investment.
I 1000% recommend visiting this place, I’ll be back for sure.

Amazing and huge museum. Can’t believe it’s free and even if it’s not- totally worth visiting. Parking fee is 20$ till 3pm and later it’s 15$. It was bit crowded when we visited, it took lot of time for parking so I’d recommend to plan visit accordingly. It has a great collection of European art, well maintained gardens, galleries and many more. Beautiful architecture. Very well designed and maintained. It’s built on a hill, from parking you can walk all the way to museum main entrance or they also have trains. It also has amazing views of LA from top. We had reserved it in advance however they were admitting people without reservations. Must visit place when in LA.

I have come at least 7 times since it’s close to my job. It’s so nice to see all the art but don’t expect to be able to finish it all within 4 hours. I think it would take a whole day to complete but that sounds awesome to me because all the art is so beautiful. Especially the French area. Love the gift shop and found my new favorite tea there. Anytime friends want to know something to do, I always recommend going here. Took my husband for his first time there as well. Great date, adventure, or just study and chill location. They have a cafe that has foods like sandwiches and chips as well as some sweet treats. They also serve beer/wine if that’s your thing. There are also 2 other restaurants on the premises but when I went it was a very limited menu so I didn’t end up trying anything. According to the servers the portions are about the size of a baby bowl but for the price of a feast yet also mediocre quality. So I personally don’t recommend but if you really want the Beverly Hills experience and to feel fancy, I’d recommend other places than this restaurant. However it doesn’t change my opinion on the museum itself. I never bought or reserved a ticket and never had issues going in. They always say that next time I will need to reserve but I’ve gone so often without doing that so go at your own risk if you don’t want to reserve a ticket.

Always an enjoyable experience visiting The Getty! They still require a reservation or timed-ticket entries at the time of this writing, but it was no hassle, just present it and you'll proceed through the line. I liked the Still life paintings, a lot of detail goes into it, reminds me of my art classes I took when I was younger except they were charcoal black/white drawings, dealing with colors is a whole another level. The outdoor panoramic views of Los Angeles and the Pacific Ocean to the west were spectacular. Went during the evening and watching the sunset was nice and gave the museum building a nice golden hue. The tram takes you up to the museum from the parking structure is free and less than 5 minutes.
This museum is HUGE. I'd recommend to wear comfortable, shoes, a hat, a water bottle, and some snacks to save money. All the artworks are indoors but you do have to go outside to get to other buildings for more artworks. And, should definitely check out the garden.
The artworks are separated by different areas and time periods.
They provide umbrella for shade or for the rain which I found interesting.
Took around 4 hours with no tour guidance to walk around and (hopefully) see everything.
I want to add that you can bring big backpacks, but just have them in front of you to prevent any accidents.

For the price of parking your car ($20) you get to see some truly stunning and incredibly valuable art. And if you arrive by bus I guess it's free!
Well organized tram up the hill. Galleries were not too crowded.
Great views over LA on clear days.

Revisiting the Getty Museum was an absolutely awe-inspiring experience. The picturesque views from this hilltop location have the power to amaze anyone who visits. The architectural masterpiece that is the Getty Museum is a testament to human genius. It gracefully blends elements of the ancient world with a modern touch and a futuristic aesthetic, creating a harmonious fusion of art, culture, and innovation.
It's worth noting that to truly appreciate all that the Getty has to offer, it's essential to allocate sufficient time for your visit. Unfortunately, my recent visit was limited by time constraints, but I'm already planning to head back at the earliest opportunity, perhaps during a holiday, to explore it more thoroughly.
I must also extend my heartfelt appreciation to all the dedicated staff at the Getty Museum, who contribute to making this place a treasure trove of art and knowledge. Special kudos go to our enthusiastic tour guide, whose passion and expertise enriched our visit and added depth to our understanding of the museum's incredible collection. This revisit to the Getty has left an indelible mark, and I eagerly anticipate my next chance to immerse myself in its wonders.

Free ticket. Should book ticket 2-3 days in advance if you plan to visit on weekend. Plenty of parking space but it’ll cost you $20 for the whole day. It gets really traffic inside during weekend evening, so try to leave a bit early than others would be great. The arts were super varied. Check the map in advance to find your area pf interest and spend time there. The garden is beautiful, hot, and scenic spot, so don’t forget to spare some time for that

The museum is free to go, but they charge you $25 for parking. They ask you to reserve beforehand the entrance on their website.
The place is amazing. The buildings are impressive, super clean, and well taken care of.
The staff is really helpful and nice. You can walk all the buildings, and each one has different things, some paints, others' sculptures, etc.

The Getty Center is a beautiful location for a museum with gorgeous landscape. You pay one price for a carload of people for parking with access to all the museums. A restaurant is on the property so you can stay all day. The artwork curated for the museum is usually smaller collections but it is worth it because these are the pieces you are dying to see. The modern architectural design of the buildings with the beautiful landscape make this a iconic location.

It's such a beautiful place to visit! A ton to see and the staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. It is free to get in but $25 to park. Well worth it. My kids loved looking at the art and sculptures. We were there for hours. You do have to schedule your visit online first.

I don't understand art, but I still came to take a look. I was not disappointed. The items inside surprised me. It's very big and it takes about three hours to visit. If you are not in a hurry, you can bring some food and drinks and enjoy it slowly. There are many beautiful flowers in the garden, which you can enjoy and take pictures! It is worth a visit. Parking is $25 per time.

One of the most breathtaking museums around, the atmosphere surrounding the museum is just as magnificent as the artwork inside. You definitely need a full day here, as there are many wings and gardens to explore. We were very lucky because it was a full moon that night and the sunset was beautiful. This is a must on your travels. Enjoy

Must visit place in LA ! We went to the museum by tram and it was fun experience. There were five museums and great views. I couldn’t see all art pieces but I was happy to see paintings by Monet and Gogh. I got strong impression of sunset.

Extraordinary place, phenomenal architecture, wonderful garden, wide views and beautiful collections in an amazing design. This place has a great vibe, you can spend hours studying everything they have here. Here you will also find a bistro and a cafe, many interesting corners where you will lose track of time. This place belongs to all art lovers. However, the journey here is also exceptional, thanks to the Getty Center Tram you can get here quickly and easily from your car. The museum is free of charge, you pay for parking only.

They do not care about your health - AT ALL. They sometimes pretend to care about your wellbeing, but they also do not care about that. Also, you have to fight for your autonomy with them. They know that you are dealing with them reluctantly because you do not have enough money to get by in the current state of the economy. They know that if residents at their sites had enough money, the residents would not be dealing with how they treat people. The United States government does not make sure that its residents have enough money for food and housing. Union Station Services is not the cause, but is a symptom of a nasty problem.

Westfield Topanga & The Village is a large shopping mall in the city of Los Angeles. It features 210 stores and 57 restaurants, making it one of the most popular malls in LA. It also regularly hosts events, such as concerts and exhibits. Parking is available around the mall, and WiFi is free.
Now this is a mall. You have a variety of stores inside this beautiful mall, anything from Louis Vuitton, Lego, Fashion Nova to some yummy restaurants. Plenty of parking all around and the inside is beautiful as can be. You might want to pay attention as you can easily get lost of how big it is. Highly recommend but you might want to plan a trip as it will take you a while to walk around if you aren't familiar with the layout of this mall.

Nice place. Due to pandemic and online shopping, malls are usually quieter than the way it used to be.
I’ve always liked Westfield as it carries a lot of youth memories for me.
The mall is still good, parking is easy, less crowded or noise, the food court is still busy and good.
I hope to see malls revive again to the way it used to be.

I loved walking around and checking out all the stores. The Christmas music playing in the background just adds to the touch of this place. Stay safe out there people! Pandemic or not, keep washing those hands! It just makes good hygiene sense!

This is one of the best malls in Southern California in my opinion. Lots of great shopping options and great places to eat. It’s location is great right outside of Ventura county. They have an Apple store here. Lots of designer spots. All the basic mall spots too. It’s clean and outside. Very few abandoned spots inside. Tons of parking. I definitely recommend coming to this mall to shop and eat if you are anywhere close by.

This is a nice mall. It is a big and it has many different places to eat. It has a new arcade that is fun and the staff is nice, but the place is not big enough for the area that it serves. The mall has a movie theater and plenty of shops. They have a target, lots of jewelry stores,up scale shops like Gucci, and many others. We went for lunch and then went over to the arcade. The mall once had a merry go round ,but it is now gone. During the week it is not busy but on the weekends the place is packed. I think this is one of the best malls still around.

The Westfield Topanga Mall and Village, located at 6600 Topanga Canyon Blvd in Canoga Park, has every shop you can imagine plus more to come.
This place has 150 stores, from high end designer brands to trendy clothing, or unique gifts…you’ll find it all here. And we’re talking luxe stores like Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Cartier, and Jimmy Choo.
But they’ve also got our mall musts, like Sephora, Lululemon, and the best (according to them) Zara. Oh yeah, this place is a fashionista’s paradise indeed. And hey, we all love a good department store to find a really good deal. Macys, Neiman Marcus, and Nordstrom are here too, plus…wait for It… there’s a Target! Again, you can literally spend the whole day here shopping and picking up essentials.
Ok, now across the street at The Village , you can grab some sushi at Katsuya or Wokano, or try the best Mexican food at XOC Tequila Grill, or get a steakhouse vibe at JOEY. Casual dining experiences include Cava, Veggie Grill, and Sweetfin. And to wrap things up In one sweet bow, go to Sloans. They’ve got a wide selection of ice cream and candy.
Viel Spaß!

Really nice shops and people, and the place is beautiful!
Parking during the day is usually a problem and will soon get worse due to new residential building and new residents.
As our Boomers are aging, most of the Disabled Parking fills up, making it difficult for seniors with disabilities to find parking.
Maximizing income from rental property and losing parking spaces will encourage residents to shop online, especially the elderly.
I used to spend time at the Commons, eat out, shop... but I'd rather shop online and have food delivered than deal with parking at the Commons. It will get much worse.

Different selections of
international brands, such as Chanel, Cartier, Hermès, Louis Vuiton, Tiffany & Co, Gucci, H&M.....
American brands, such as Macy's, bloomingdales, Neiman, Nordstrom.
It has one of the biggest cinemas in the area, AMC.
Amazing selections of restaurants in the food court/ dining terrace.

LUXURY!! My, how this mall has changed. High end, luxury labels that could once only be found in Beverly Hills have landed in the valley. Some of the new stores aren’t open as of this review but most are.
The new Topanga Social area is a great addition and really adds to the space. Lots of options for food or snacks, even a couple of bars to grab a cocktail at.
Overall a great shopping destination with plenty to see and do.
Old-school depot offering exhibits on trains, a working signal garden, play area, gift shop & tours.
Nice, donation based, Museum. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Our docent showed us around, answered questions, and then left us to explore on our own. There is a nice area outside where you can sit and watch the trains go by. Make sure you hear the story about how the depot burned down. The story really shows how committed the Tehachapi community is to saving their history.

A fantastic visit. This is quite a small museum, but it packs a number of interesting artifacts and is completely free. But the stars are the volunteers. I spent the best part of an hour there just chatting to them, sharing and contrasting the US and UK rail systems.
If you've an hour free, it's not too far from the LA to San Francisco freeway. Divert, have a look around and a chat, leave a donation if you can and then visit the Tehachapi loop viewpoint.

Very fun place to see! Guids were very nice and informative. If you're a Railroad enthusiast, this the place to check out. There is no admissions fee. Plz leave donation to help with the preservation of this historical treasure.
Then drive 10 mi down the road to check out the Tehachapi loop. If the train comes by the station and your fast you can get on the 58 west bound and make it to the observation point and watch the train come thru the loop!

Very cute. All of the staff are enthusiastic. They might all be volunteers. They also encouraged us to visit the Tehachapi Loop overlook and gave directions. The Tehachapi Depot Museum is a really neat exhibit full of historical curiosities. They have some nice antique pieces of railway equipment and adjacent items like old luggage, etc. I liked that they display a piece of train track that had melted under extreme duress. They also have preserved news clippings and other literature for your viewing.
The staff is very pleasant here, and the atmosphere is welcoming. I like that the museum is situated directly next to the actual operational railway, that there is a railroad-themed playground next door, and that a great sandwich deli and bakery, Kohnen’s, is only a hundred feet away.

Came here in 2017 with our kids, and returned without them today. Google it to be amazed before actually seeing it. We were fortunate to arrive on a clear day, and right as a train was approaching. It's cool to see the engine windings the train around the mountain so many times, and see the caboose spiraling along! It's a short stop off the highway.

Great place to stop outside of Bakersfield. They have a cute indoor produce stand with a large variety of fruits and some veggies. The cherries were some of the best I’ve ever had. Homemade pies in variety of flavors and sizes, fresh popcorn and a large area of pickled items, jams, sauces and honey (the cactus honey is amazing)! There is also a small deli area where you can get some hot sides or a sandwich. Seating outside on the patio or garden area to eat. They offer a u-pick, but I did not check that out. They also offer fuel pumps with both gas and diesel. If you need to fuel up, stretch your legs, grab some fresh produce or a bite to eat, this is your stop! The customer service is friendly and everything was clean!

There were kid activities like slides a big air filled bouncer, animals and more. My kids had a blast. My favorite part was picking the fruits, the fresh picked berries are to die for. Great machines, center circle bar in the middle of the floor, some card tables, a verrryyy long line for the rewards program as well as the payout atms but I assume its only because it they just opened.
Only down note is that it feels VERY crowded with how close the machines are. Seems like they tried to squeeze as many machines as possible on the playing floor, but also slightly feels like a fire code issue. I definitely would not want to be caught here in the event of an emergency. 😬
Other than that, staff was very welcoming and nice and beautiful new building and grounds! Great addition for tulare County residents! 🙌

The central bar here has extremely weak mixed drinks. Do not order anything that comes from the wand. I ordered a long island, and it tasted like a juice drink. I told the bar tender and she simply dismissed me and said that's the way the drink comes. I was under the impression I would get a standardized equivalent. After an unsuccessful complaint, I was affirmed that customer service is not their strong suit. Otherwise, the ambiance was good, along with the patrons and energy. Order your mixed drinks with caution.

Love this place! My wife kept ringing and winning and that was after a hitting a grand jackpot. I can't wait to return. We live 2hrs away do we have to make our trip worth it.
I love the gift shop but the only thing I will bring up, is that it was taking pretty long to get a drink.

New area. It was easy getting there. There was tons of parking, although we had to park on dirt. The inside felt smaller to me than the old location. The slot machines and chairs felt too close together, if a person was sitting in one slot and another person was sitting behind them on a slot, then noone could walk through them because some of the isles were too small. I'm not sure if there were designated smoke areas, but some areas of the casino smelled stronger than other areas.
It took a while for the waitresses to come around, perhaps they were understaffed. We got two alcoholic drinks for $14( pricey if you ask me).
Of course, it was a lot of fun while I was winning, but once we lost, it wasn't fun anymore ;)

Been to all the casinos in the central valley and this is my least favorite. Even though it is new. The whole design is very basic, nothing wowed me. It is small and was super packed with people.
The 2nd project is yet to be built, I believe it will be a hotel and an event center.

Tap house food was excellent! Definitely recommend. Half rack of ribs was great! Wife and DIL had the chicken they lived it. Son had the brisket also a fan!
The gaming area is very clean. Not a smoker but very little smoke to have to deal with. Also, a separate non-smoking gaming area

I’m not sure how this is possible, but a member from my high school was working here. I live over four hours away. I don’t know what happened here, and I’m not too sure if I want to know. I’m kind of having a crisis. Anyways, the place is new, the slot machines are cool, and the seats are pretty comfortable as my friend. Highly recommended.

I came to this casino and I must say it’s very beautiful. The outer and inner architecture is very modern. There is a steak house, a bar in the center of the casino, a sports bar and restaurant, a coffee shop, an attraction center as well. And of course lots of slots and a good amount of tables for card games. There is also a gift shop and smoke shop.
I ordered several alcohol drinks and I didn’t like them. I have tried amazing alcoholic drinks so I know the difference between a well crafted drink and second best. I will say the drinks need more craftsmanship, however it’s better to purchase regular beer. The slots are overcrowded. They were made WAY to close to each other, so when u add people to them it feels crowded to a phobic state.
Altogether, it’s an amazing place to come and enjoy yourself and the family.
The Moro Rock Trail in Sequoia National Park is a challenging route that involves climbing over 400 stairs to reach the summit. The view at the top is spectacular, and it's well worth the effort.
A very quick and literally breathtaking hike! My husband and I love this hike, though. When you’re in Sequoia NP, make sure to include this on your list of places to go there.

Amazing views, truly breathtaking!!
I highly recommend starting very early, we went up around 7am and passed a few people as we headed up. Once we made it to the top, we were the only ones up there for 30+ minutes, it was incredible.
The stairs aren't that terrible, I have asthma and had a hurt leg while hiking up, just go slow and take your time, it is 1000% worth it!

Shuttle #2 takes us to this place Mono rock, Tunnel Log and Cresent Meadow from Giant Forest Museum .
This large granite dome is a spectacular geologic feature that can be enjoyed from above or below.
Around 350 steps to the top of Moro Rock. Moro Rock is very close to the parking lot.
It is safe to climb because handrails along the way .

Amazing trail to hike up for the stunning views of the sequoia NP valley and overlook of great western divide!
The hike might get slightly difficult climbing up but it’s not too bad and is totally worth it! You can do this. Parking available on first come first serve basis. You can also park beside the road in safe space. Carry water and hiking shoes as it’s steps built within the rocks. Definitely recommend it!

This is a quick but very steep hike. if you are looking for a hike that is low investment but high payoff this one is perfect. It is a great spot to watch the sunrise or sunset. I don’t recommend it though f you are afraid of heights. It is safe but there are times you are walking a steep path close to an edge with a railing and it can often be very crowded with people. Thank being said this hike is a gem. It has almost instant satisfaction. The payoff is definitely worth the climb!

Fantastic views. Good work out. Makes you feel on top of the world. A lot of people who don't know how to share the trail. Small parking lot but worth it.

Stunning views! The 360 view at the top is breathtaking, and access to it is very straightforward, so it should be on the bucket list of every nature lover and outdoor enthusiast. Just absolutely brilliant. My English isn't good enough to put into words what I felt there, but anyone visiting Sequoia national park MUST visit this.

This is an amazing experience! Turn at the museum and take narrow road up to the rock. Be prepared to climb over 300 stairs. But view is impressive and well worth the climb.
My kids ages 11 and 15 absolutely loved the climb and view. Don't miss this part of Sequoia National Park.
Farther down this same road is and called Sequoia that you can drive through/under.
FYI The sequoia where you could once park your car on top is now out of service.

Enjoyed the hike. Make sure you keep an eye on weather and it’s relatively safe to reach the top of the dome. The views at the top are worth the hike and it’s more beautiful during the sunset time!

This is something you should put on your list, the view from the top is breathtaking. I got there first thing in the morning trying to beat the crowds and I succeeded as I encounter some people but it was manageable. Keep in mind parking is limited unless you are planning to hike from the Giant Forest museum. It's 350 steps to get to the top and it's steep and narrow. Some places only one person can pass through at a time. At the top you can get the most amazing pictures and videos but it still wouldn't do it justice. Not recommended for people who are afraid of heights. There are bathrooms at the head of the trail. Watch your step going up and down. Enjoy!
liza Great work as always! Kq — Google review
Visited here on February and pretty much snowy up there upon hiking to the rock! I didn’t make it to the top because I wasn’t wearing the right shoes to survive the snowy steps. I definitely will come back here during spring time.

Amazing place. Must visit on the trip to Sequoia National park. Plan to come after 2/3 pm so that you can enjoy the evening sunset timing by the time we reach the top. Almost 6 to 7 stories of stairs to reach to the top. Parking is limited hence visiting on weekdays will allow you to drive all the way to the base of the hike. Or else you need to park at different places and get on a free park shuttle too reach here. Weekends are crowded and long queues for the shuttle bus. Parking is quite an issue around different points in this NP. So make sure to avoid holidays and weekends off the goal is to enjoy the serene natural beauty.

As you drive up the hills and mountains entering the Sequoia and King's Canyon National Parks, you will be struck by the awe inspiring Moro Rock looming over all. We couldn't imagine reaching the base much less climbing to the top. But yes, keep driving and you will reach the base parking area. The Park Service carved steps and, partially, put in hand rails. While not for the infirm or those with height phobias or balance problems, the steps up are doable by most people. We ascended at 6 pm, well past peak hours (11am to 4 pm?) and so the path was not overcrowded. And our fellow rock adventurers were polite, helpful, and even engaging (I cannot vouch for conditions at peak hours). I expected this to be a nice-to-do addition to our park trip but it turned out to be my personal highlight.

Pros:
🌄 Offers stunning views of the valley below, the sunrise, sunset, and night sky.
🚶 Is well-maintained and easy to follow.
⏲️ Is short and can be completed in less than an hour.
📍 Is conveniently located between the Giant Forest and Crescent Meadow.
🌟 Is a popular attraction and offers a unique adventure.
Cons:
⛰️ Is moderately challenging and involves climbing a steep staircase with 300 feet of elevation gain.
🚫 Is not suitable for dogs, people with fear of heights, or winter conditions.
🌧️ Can be crowded and narrow at times.
⚡ Can be prone to lightning strikes, and hikers are advised to get off the rock quickly but safely if there is any evidence of an approaching storm.

Wow! This was definitely an amazing point on the trip to Sequoia National Park! You see the rock sticking up as you approach from the south visitors center and as you approach it's even more amazing. You get a panoramic view of the valley (make sure there's no chance of lightning if you go) and it's worth the steps. Very few visitors when we were there Monday morning.

Walked here from the visitor centre. Absolutely beautiful walk through the snow, and then climbed up the rock to stand on our own for about an hour looking at breathtaking views. I'm guessing that in busy times this attraction would be very busy, so we were immensely privileged to have it to ourselves.

Wow, what an experience!! Be prepared, because it’s 350 steps up to the top! Beautiful views all around and of the sierras. Definitely not for the faint of heart or fear of heights. Some sections only have knee high rocks instead of railings as a barrier. A couple rock ledges to walk under stooping low, some tight winding steps in sections and some narrow paths.
Rōbi Ventures (Rōbi Ventures) — Google review
In Sequoia National Park, this is a must-do trail. There is limited parking, so plan accordingly. It's a 350-step moderate hike from the parking lot to the top. Beautiful scenery and view from the top is spectacular. Just be very cautious and focused on your steps.
ShuPriya — Google review
Moro Rock Trail in Sequoia National Park is a popular short but steep hike that leads to the top of Moro Rock, a large granite dome with sweeping views of the High Sierra and the valleys below. The trail itself is a quarter-mile (0.4 km) one-way and is essentially a stairway that ascends the rock with over 350 steps.
As you climb the trail, handrails and carved steps guide you up the dome. The path can be quite narrow and steep in places, but the panoramic views at every turn make the climb thrilling. The trail culminates at the summit of Moro Rock, approximately 6,725 feet (2,050 meters) above sea level, offering visitors a spectacular vista.
The climb can be strenuous, especially for those not used to the altitude, but it's accessible to most visitors in good health. Due to its elevation and exposure, the rock can be dangerous in winter and during thunderstorms, so it is recommended to visit in good weather. The trail and the views it provides are one of the highlights of Sequoia National Park, giving visitors a true sense of the scale and beauty of the Sierra Nevada mountains.

The Giant Forest is a vast and scenic forest famous for its towering sequoia and redwood groves, campgrounds and hiking trails. The forest is home to some of the world's largest trees, including the General Sherman Tree, which is the largest tree in the world.
The Giant Forest within the Sequoia National Park, has to be one of the most fascinating natural wonders that I have come across. The forest is aptly named. The Sequoias in the forest are not only some of the tallest but also some of the oldest living trees in this world. Walking among the trees and soaking in the aroma of the pine and the redwoods is almost thereaupatic.
The trailhead is easy to reach - just follow directions to Giant Sherman trailhead. Then you can walk around the forest along both the Giant Sherman trail or the Congress trail. The walk is easy and can be easily done by children or elders. There’s typically a line to click pictures around the Giant Sherman but the line moves fast.
Highly recommended and one of the must do things in Sequoia National Park.

make sure to arrive early to enjoy the day

don't live your food alone otherwise bear will eat them, and make sure to climb to Moro Rock best view ever.
at the entrance there's traffic Because people have to get tickets and map for the forest
and there's a little bit of wait at the bus stop
over all its very good.
The Giant Forest Museum is a museum about the history and ecology of the giant sequoia forest. It has exhibits on different aspects of these trees, as well as interpretive trails. The best way to get there is by parking and using the shuttle service, as this is not allowed on weekends or during holidays.
In this museum there were things to look at, they had examples of how these trees were formed and how much they weighed before. The museum has several things to look at. Here you can buy things to take with you and keep as a souvenir for coming and visiting this park.

Cute little museum. Some quick diagrams and facts about the trees inside. A couple interactive things to hold kids interests. Often looks closed so try the door. Entrance is right in front of the Sentinel tree. Small store inside for trinkets and such. Rangers available to guide you and answer any questions. Do the quick stop in and check things out before you head out for your hike.

One of our main reasons to come to California was to see the giant Sequoia's. They were beyond expectations. We stopped here doing the tourist routine. I was surprised they not only were knowledgeable but had a really nice variety of souvenirs. The inside also has some wonderful large pics of parts of the park over the years and some interesting displays to look at. It's well worth stopping at. We picked up a few things.

The General Sherman Tree is a 275-foot-tall giant tree in Sequoia National Park. It's taller than the Statue of Liberty and is one of the world's largest trees. The trail to see it is easy, but you might need snowshoes if there has been a recent heavy snowfall.
It is one of the largest trees in the world! It is a good spot however finding parking can be difficult during long weekends or holiday weekends such as 4th of July. We had to circle twice in parking lot to find a parking and ended up parking on the side of road near parking lot. It is a good hike down the trail to reach the tree from regular parking. Accessible parking spots are available closer to the tree and accessible trail. Rangers were present on spot near accessible parking spots. There are restrooms available and spots to sit and relax.

Great little hike for Saturday morning. Biggest tree in the world, not the tallest. It is definitely BIG huge. He hike was capped off with, what seemed to be a younger bear just strolling by. Not caring about anyone. It's a paved trail, so really easy to navigate.
If you do this, keep going on the Congress Trail. There are some great trees there too.

We took the shuttle from the Giant Forest museum to the tree. I highly recommend that! The bus dropped us off very close to the tree.
A first look at the tree might seem underwhelming. Until you get closer and walk around the trunk and look up and take in the distance of the branches and the size. It is an amazing experience to be looking at the largest living thing on the planet.

General Sherman tree is so impressive and amazingly beautiful. Trail to get there is easy; I would recommend going in the early hours of the morning so you can have the minimum people around you and that way you'll be able to take all in. There are lots of picture opportunities and other trails to hike also. Plenty of parking and restrooms at the head of the trail.

Beautiful place. In my opinion the general Sherman tree is not in some other league when it comes to beauty, size or interest. There were dozens of people waiting for a picture with it. I recommend walking a couple miles away (any of the longer trails you don’t have to walk the whole thing) and you will find trees just as large and beautiful without any people. Though out our 3 hours spent walking the trails we met no more than 10 people.

I've had the distinct pleasure of visiting in August and June, and both months do not disappoint for this mammoth tree! The sheer size and deep orange color of the bark, contrasting with the green fronds and teeny-tiny pine cones make this experience one that cannot be missed! Photos of the tree's main sign may take a bit to snag as there are plenty of folks wanting the same photo. Parking is pretty solid, but can fill up later in the day, so arrive earlier of possible. The trail down to the tree is full of a few hundred steps at high altitude, so don't rush back up the stairs if you need a break!

Awesome hikes, trails, and views. Lots of parking places on the weekdays. The trees themselves are really huge, and not a single camera can really show the real size. It's an impressive tree! Not the oldest, tallest, or biggest. But it's very beautiful and a living thing. Healthy and protected. We visited Sequoia National Park as part of a wider road trip. They were mandating snow chains be carried that day... Our rental didn't come with them and the conditions didn't require our vehicle type to actually put them on unless conditions worsened significantly but we still had to get some. There are shops close to the gateway that sell them to you... If you return them in good condition, they give you a small amount back, so if you visit during winter and don't have chains, expect the additional expense.
I must say, the roads were rated at R1 (R0 being the best and R3 being the worst) and vehicles without snow tyres were being made to put the chains on, about 15 miles beyond the gateway. I cannot see why because the roads we used to travel the 7000 ft elevation were about as clear as they can get... I guess caution has to win out in the mountains.
The drive from the gateway is around 1 hour. The road up to Sherman is incredibly windy, so expect some slow and and very tight bends. Experienced drivers recommended. You will get some amazing views and there are plenty of places to stop and get out of your vehicle for better vistas and photos. Driving through Giants Forest is breathtaking.
Once there, parking can be tricky but it is a short and easy walk from the Sherman car park.
ABSOLUTELY STUNNING surroundings, made even more beautiful by the snow. Incredibly peaceful, even with other visitors there. General Sherman is very impressive.

We really enjoyed our stop here! The size has to be seen to be believed! It smells so beautiful here and the paths are well cared for. It's a little steep getting down there if you have mobility issues but they keep the paths well tended and there are seats you can stop at. The short part of the Congress Trail loop is very pretty as well and has a pretty waterfall along the way. If you're in the area see this one as well as the General Grant tree.
Generals Hwy is a scenic route that winds through stunning giant sequoia forests while dotted with charming 1930s stone bridges. The road has a narrow pathway, which adds to the allure of the journey. The picturesque landscape along the way will leave any traveler in awe. The path provides an enchanting experience for those seeking to explore natural beauty, as it offers panoramic views of serene surroundings without fail.
