Dinosaur National Monument, situated on the border of Utah and Colorado, safeguards a vast collection of dinosaur fossils discovered in 1909. It is North America's most prominent fossil bed and boasts hiking trails, rafting activities, campsites, and a cliff filled with dinosaur remains. The Quarry Exhibit features over 1600 bones protruding from an enclosed partially excavated rock wall, providing visitors with an awe-inspiring sight to behold.
This is the most amazing place. The Wall of Bones looks like something Walt Disney created… but it’s real… a riverbed littered with hundreds (thousands?) of dinosaur bones… some of which you can touch. It’s a spectacular facility that tells the story of life and death in the age of dinosaurs. Bring water, good shoes and a hat. Kids will love this place. I’m coming back - when it’s cooler! Oh the staff and the tram are great!
Michael Ramsey — Google review
The wall of fossils is interesting and a unique experience. The Utah side of the National Park is where you'll find fossils and several pictograms. However, after 2 hours we had exhausted all activity options. The Query entrance gift shop is small with limited options and no actual fossils, only replicas which look okay but for the price I would have expected actual fossils. The scenery could be amazing to those who aren't accustomed to the views of the Rocky mountains, but if you live around or in the area then the cliffs and mountains will be just moderately note worthy.

We traveled from Grand Junction,CO to the Dinosaur National Park - Quarry. The visit was so interesting and visually amazing. Real proof of the dinosaurs that once lived. We enjoyed all the sceneries getting there as well. Great job National Parks and staff. Thank you.
Nancy Beard — Google review
Exceeded my expectations.
The bones in the Quarry Hall were very impressive. That location is the extent of the bones.
I really enjoyed the hikes to see the pictographs. Beautiful areas.
Blake Baker — Google review
This is a cool place to go if you have some his to kill. This specific building isn't that amazing but the entire site that you can hike or drive is really cool. Pack a lunch, done water, and the kids and check out some real fossils and petroglyphs. It's not AMAZING only because the entire site is so spread out that it's not like meandering through the zoo or a museum, but it is a great hike, or if you have little one, a fun drive around the area.
Matthew Nigro — Google review
Kids loved seeing the dinosaurs on the Utah side and exploring the CO side. Made a trip out to Harpers Corner then down into Echo park. Got to see Steamboat Rock, caves and petroglyphs. Highly recommend making the trip down into the canyon if it isn’t going to rain. Also made the trip all the way out to Elk springs on the back road but make sure you have plenty of time. Very worthwhile drive. We started passport books here and hope to visit many more places collecting cancellation stamps! Rangers were all very nice and loved talking to and teaching the kids. The Rangers were so helpful giving us advice on what to do with kids and where to go!

This park has tours, but you can take self guided tours because they have everything so well marked! It’s really nice the way they did the layout. Beside every fossil or footprint if you will is markings and signs describing what exactly you are looking at and how it came to be. With in this park are numerous pathways that are well marked and the ridge is a hike but views are breathtaking. From the top the big city of Denver looks tiny! If you’re there, don’t pass up any of the trails or exhibits or you may regret it!
William Stewart — Google review
First visit since childhood. The Quarry Exhibit is even more stunning to me now. Massive assemblage of Jurassic fossils left in-situ in Morrison stone outcrop. Many skeletons still articulated. Later we visited Carnegie Museum in Pittsburgh to see rest of collection, bit far better to seem them here first.
Pietro Calogero — Google review
What a breathtaking experience. The Quarry was great and amazing to be able to touch a fossil! The Dark Sky was my favorite part, seeing the Milky Way and Andromeda galaxy and an airglow! Petroglyph sites were humbling and worth visiting all of them. Driving around just to see the different rocks is also recommended. So many stunning views.
Weather was hot and on/off showers, but so worth it. Saw lizards, chipmunks, warblers, and other animals.
Green River Campground is lovely and partially shaded. Campsite #2 has breathtaking views!
All park facilities were clean and there's a lot of accessibility and information. Would go back again!
Gnomedic — Google review
We had a great time at Dinosaur National Monument. The rangers were incredibly helpful and friendly. The fossil wall was impressive and fun for all ages. Even though it was still winter we saw more wildlife than we expected to see on our visit. Incredible sites and history throughout the park. Nature, petroglyphs, trails, dinosaurs...what more can you ask for? Can't wait to return when it's a little bit warmer.

Fossils and rocks and views.
Spent a few days in the park hiking, visiting, and camping and still didn’t come close to seeing it all. The main attraction is of corpse the fossil wall but there’s lots else to see between the river and the rock mountains around.
Obviously an amazing place to see even if it’s a fair drive out of just about anywhere to get here (so bring extra food because driving back to town isn’t fun).
Ted S — Google review
Dinosaur National Monument was the destination of our cross country family RV trip from Western NY. This place is fantastic and was well worth our journey. The quarry, AKA the massive wall of bones in place as they were unearthed, as amazing. The cost to enter is minimal and even free on occasion, the tram ride up to the quarry is fun, the fossil discovery trail is breathtakingly beautiful. The other hiking trails with in the monument grounds are probably some of the best in the USA for families and include a great variety of landscape and sites. All of us, kids through adults, found the hikes and petroglyphs to be exhilarating and exciting and fun! The campgrounds are beautiful, super and inexpensive. We also spent time in Vernal Utah which is a short drive from the monument and is an area holding many other fabulous local adventures including McConkie ranch, Fantasy Canyon, Moonshine Arch, Red Fleet state park to name a few. Plan on spending a whole week in the area
Pam Vargo — Google review
Need to visit this park in both states; the visitor centers are both full of information. Make sure you take the tram back to the museum; you can even touch a real fossil. Gift shop was full and the restrooms were clean.
Laura Reagan — Google review
This place is outstanding! There’s not much I can add to the comments and reviews other than emphasizing how the cliff face inside the Quarry Exhibit Hall is a sight to behold. While other Natural History museums provide a much more robust exhibit, none rival the ability to see hundreds of fossils in ziti.
Edward Feeny — Google review
This place is so great you have to go there. There's so many different places to go hike or go out on the water. They have like five different campsites if you want to go camping. They have a live fossil bed and you can go see dinosaur bones, and you can even touch them. If you go to the visitor center in Utah you can see the dinosaur bones and they have a shuttle to take you from the visitor center to the dinosaur center.
Dani Drugan — Google review
Unfortunately, the prime reason for going was to see the fossil wall and skeletons, but the center is closed for renovation. Both the Utah and Colorado sides have their inate beauty! Would have loved to have seen the wall, but.
Dana Kinser — Google review
The wall of bones is simply amazing. It's so cool to see the Dinosaur bones still sitting where they were actually found.
Jason feltz — Google review
We visited four national parks on this trip. Three were heavily congested to the point of being unpleasant. Dinosaur was much less congested. The fossil exhibits and scenery were some of our favorite. Also, they had one trail along the river where they actually ALLOWED us to walk our dogs. All things considered, it was very much worth the detour.
Jeff Glenn — Google review
We love everything about this place! Hikes to Petroglyphs , Dinosaur fossils! Amazing! Beautiful campground, scenic drive. Can't wait to go back this Spring!

Reservoir-adjacent state park offers dinosaur track-laden hiking trails, camping, boating & fishing.
This place is awesome and is a must visit. It has dinosaur tracks, a fun reservoir for a swim, and it is a fun hike.
The dinosaur tracks are incredible. There are so many of them. They are also well preserved. I have not seen many places where you can see dinosaur tracks.
The reservoir is beautiful. As you can see from the pictures, you can jump off of the rock into the reservoir. There is a small cave that you can swim into. I also saw kayakers there too.
The hike did not seem long. There was so much to see and the scenery was so beautiful that the time flew by. This is a must visit.
Off The Beaten Path Adventures and Travel (Adventures) — Google review
Beautiful tinny reservoir. Warm water in August-September when we went. Very tiny. Great for paddle boarding, cliff jumping, etc. but I wouldn't recommend draging a boat there. Its tinny and very few to no beaches. you can access it from the Marina or a few other dirt roads, but with a long walk to the beach. The campsite hosts and DNR people there are super wonderful, happy, amazing people. I don't like people. But I really liked everyone I meet and talked too. We don't usually do parking lot camping. But it was still a lot of fun. If you could somehow camp on near the lake I would give it 5 stars. But lake access is not great. Lack of beaches further complicated that. However it's also part of what made it so amazingly beautiful
Chris Ottley — Google review
Absolutely gorgeous area, the campground area wasn't so great, not much space for tents, very close together. The RV spots are parking spaces on the asphalt.
holleysmoke — Google review
We took did the hike to see the dinosaur tracks and it was beautiful, the tracks were amazing! We had to look around for them but once we found one was easier to see the rest. The hike was not easy but doable for my husband and I, both over 60. Wear good hiking shoes!
Susan Wedvick — Google review
Great little reservoir to spend the day on. I’d recommend camping at nearby Steinaker state park though. We decided to book our trip that way based on what the campground looks like online and am sure glad we did. The camping here at Red Fleet is akin to sleeping in a Walmart parking lot. Rows of paved stalls packed together like sardines. Not sure what the thought process was there.
The lake on the other hand was amazing. We spent two days here exploring. The first day we hiked in from the backside to the dinosaur tracks. Wear your swimsuit if you do. There’s a great spot to jump in the water at the end of the hike. The second day we brought our paddle boards back and launched them from the boat launch. We spent the day exploring the lake. The water even though very low was still cool and clear. As others have said it’s kind of like a mini lake Powell. We will be back.
Dave Bigelow — Google review
Hiked to the Dinosaur tracks at the end of a beautiful late winter day. We had the trail to ourselves and seeing the many, many tracks was awesome. The park was also very scenic in the fading winter light.
Andy Porter — Google review
Awesome place! Gorgeous rocks and canyoney boats rides. A bit hard to hang out near the water without being on a slope if you have young kids but if you have a boat of sorts it’s great to explore. Nice staff and awesome dinosaur footprints!!!!
Chad Haven — Google review
The Red Fleet State Park has dinosaur tracks, interesting geology, and a beautiful reservoir. I enjoyed hiking and exploring the area!
Stormy Concoby — Google review
Great, well marked, 3 mile hike leads you to this incredible reservoir where dinosaur tracks are easy to see. The water levels were extremely low this year (April 2021) so we were able to see a lot of tracks! Bring water to drink!
Gretchen Hawkins — Google review
This is a place that you can go fishing, boating, and swimming. Children love playing in the water. There are benches as well. I like to go hiking in the area. Other people ride their bikes on the trails as well. It's just a short drive out of Vernal and it's pretty too.
The drive up through the scenic bi-way was gorgeous! The visitor center was clean, informative and very interesting! The dam could be walked over and had multiple look-out points of beautiful scenery.
Laura L — Google review
Very beautiful, I do wish we could take the tour into the dam. Gift shop was very outrageously priced but we still had to buy a $14 stuffed otter.
Sabrina Chatwin — Google review
Great place to learn the history of the dam, and see it up close. There is a nice gift shop and you can access the walkway over and around the dam. It's really a beautiful location!
Delight Sierra (A Delightfull Life) — Google review
Nice place but everything was closed off so you couldn't walk out on the dam
Roger Kliethermes — Google review
The Flaming Gorge Dam Visitor Center had souvenirs, bathrooms, plenty of parking (trailer parking options), shaded picnic tables, many fishing spots, and a few walking trails that are dog friendly. The visitor center is not pet friendly. The Flaming Gorge and Flaming Gorge Dam area was very beautiful. I had a wonderful time kayaking here!
Stormy Concoby — Google review
There's a small theater with several movie selections that provide history and tourist information as well as a nice gift shop and information center. There's an elevator and walkway that lets you cross to the river side of the dam. We really enjoyed our visit!
Ronnie Barrett — Google review
Does a great job of keeping the lake full of water and generates power at the same time
Disappointing that the tours haven't resumed-covid doesn't need to last forever
The restroom was interesting. One cubicle looked like it was for naughty people, with a lock on the door, and I wasn't really sure how I should use what I think was a urinal
Should I sit on it? Stand and pee in it?
The video presentation in the theatre seemed very dated. When the the presenter said, "We're going to start…" I thought she was going to continue, "…back in 1983"
It was nice to see the inner workings, even if it was via a standard definition DVD
James Williams — Google review
Spectacular beauty and similar landscape to Lake Powell area. The town of Vernal has a lot more in terms of nice hotels, stores for your needs, and activities to find your adventures. There are gas stations on route and a good BBQ food truck at the visitor center. You can also eat at any of the lodges/resorts on the route.
Christy W — Google review
Monica at The visitor center was exceptionally helpful in locating suitable camping for me. She helped me to determine what areas had dispersed camping.
The folks at Flaming Gorge Barbecue truck do a terrific job and set me up with the perfect picnic for dinner time. Pulled pork sandwich, Fresh House made coleslaw, flight of sauces, chipotle honey mustard, Kansas City barbecue, and traditional barbecue.
Thomas Castrigno — Google review
Breathe taking views of the canyon. Went to the visitor center on the south east, not to much to buy as far as t shirt or cups. They don't have much selection. If your driving down the mountain from Vernal, Utah I suggest you go on the west side to tour. Alot of beautiful place for scenic view. RED CANYON was one of my favorite. Omg...its so beautiful. Some of the place at that park have no fence so I suggest you be extra careful. Most of all take as many Dam pictures as you want. 🤣🤙enjoy.

So I dropped in on a whim and Rob Gave me some advice that put me on a million fish with my streamers! I have never had a day fishing like I did after he told me the best way to catch them. I couldn't recommend this place and will be stopping in to buy a few flies and get advice every single trip over there. Thanks Rob!
Cody Eardley — Google review
You can not ask for better customer service! Great fly shop and food and all the local knowledge you could ask for. Chris is outstanding. He even let me borrow his personal pair of rubber boots since I left mine on the other side of the country.
Jason Riemann — Google review
I love the Mexican restaurant, and the woman who cooks, she is amazing! She even gave me one time a free dessert, her food is the best! I'd love to have her in my house (lol), her Mexican food is delicious! 100% recommended.

These guys always know what’s going on, I stop in before every float and their info is as good as gold. Guides are always extremely nice when I run into them on the water. I would recommend the shop to anyone looking to make the best out of their time at the river! 10/10 crew and shop
Max Wilhelm — Google review
Really awesome fishing shop Great selection of flies. They know their stuff. The gas station has a good selection of snacks and cold beer.
Brad Brian — Google review
I am traveling full time and have been staying near Dutch John, so I got to go to the fly shop / gas station a few times. The staff is super friendly, the place has a great vibe, the showers are clean, with plenty of hot water. They helped me out in more than one way, they are the best.
Pete Leuenberger — Google review
All the staff were kind and courteous. Just generally good people. Rented a raft by reservation to float section A of the river and everything was pretty smooth. Great experience!
Cody Young — Google review
Awesome job and great guiding service! Nick has become more than a guide, he's a friend and a teacher and we love fishing with him!!! But the whole shop is awesome, they strive for excellence in all they do and are willing to share info about fishing or anything you need. I've had friends go with other outfitters and have terrible experiences, but I've only experienced awesome stuff from these guys!
Jace Ross — Google review
Best place to stay when you are fishing Dutch John and the Utah Green/Flaming Gorge! I stayed in the new cabins on the hill and at every level they are superior to anything in the area. Great touches in the room lights are where they’re supposed to be so you can read at the bed they were personally built by local craftsmen Rodney Magnum. It feels like a very comfortable ski cabin like Park city or steamboat. The towels are great the amenities are great Neutrogena? Good coffee lots of creamer AC in the unit all things considered a five-star choice! A very competent manager Rob runs the whole show! rooms, raft shop rental, flyshop, it’s got a great convenient store and a great local food establishment the Big moose shout out to Yuri! The best local food is at Trout Creek Flies worth the wait because everything is handmade and yummy great breakfast burritos great lunch great dinners specially tacos and Angus burgers and how she makes a simple sandwich like a ham and cheese so wonderful? Just brilliant!
Anyway five star review plus if you stayed anywhere else it just wasn’t as good Dutch John is beautiful but if you can make good decisions like Trout Creek your trip becomes even better
They do shuttles they do lunch they do guide services they have accommodations they have good food gas and a convenient store with ice and beers and have a great fly with fabulous
Selection and variety of flies rods gear jackets clothes shout out to Rob the manager the place has never run so well in the last 34 years that I have guided on the Utah green I certainly appreciate his great eyes for new fly patterns always innovative and his management style is so chill that I don’t think the shop has been run this well like this year with all the extra business Way to go Rob thanks man !
Henry Boehm — Google review
Booked Trout Creek for an overnight guided trip and the service was top notch. Would definitely return again. Dominic put us on the fish and was great to spend two days in a boat with and Bert runs a great camp and is similarly a blast to be around. Would return again.
Will L — Google review
The guys at the fly shop are very knowledgeable and kind. Their shop has everything you need for the day. The only thing I had one problem with is how expensive their flies are. It will burn a hole in your pocket fast!
Dramatic natural setting with a reservoir for boating, swimming & fishing, plus camping & hiking.
If its a fun relaxing no worries blue sky time you want Flaming Gorge is the place for you and your family!!! Stop worrying about summer vacation and start planning the adventure of a life time. Uinta gonna regreat it......
Matthew Dillon — Google review
We visited the Wyoming end of Flaming Gorge out of Green River. The other end in Utah must be more spectacular because nothing was very dramatic or gorgy about our end of the park. We went down as far as the ferry and found a dirt road where we could see some water up close. We did see some antelope close up though! My advice is to start in Utah!
Suzanne Miladin — Google review
Great place! Camped here for 1 night as I was passing through. Really beautiful place to visit. I did not boat or fish, but really enjoyed the views and took a few pictures. Drive in from Utah was pretty as I came through Vernal and the Uintahs. I'd like to visit again with my family.
Steven Morley — Google review
I shot a wedding video here. And I have to say the cliff where the bride and groom are standing in some of these photos is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen and I’ve been in many places around the world.
It’s great for boating, jet skiing, camping if you have RVs and side-by-side‘s and four wheelers.
It’s between rock springs and Evanston and not far from SLC Utah.
I would bring my family here for sure if I had a boat.
Johnny Murdock — Google review
This place is just amazing. Great for boating, rafting, fishing and hiking. Expect cold water in the river even in the middle of the summer.
Corina Bucur — Google review
The Flaming Gorge National Recreation area is incredibly beautiful! This is the prettiest area that I have ever kayaked at. I launched at the Sheep Creek Boat Launch Area ($5 fee per day and boats are inspected). The visitor centers have souvenirs. There are many trails to hike to overlooks around the reservoir that are pet friendly.
Stormy Concoby — Google review
This amazing area on the Utah/Wyoming border is an underrated gem. It doesn't get the same hype as the other National Parks in the region but it has just as much to offer. Great vistas, plenty of camping options, wilderness, wildlife, water, and geologic features.
Scooter McHooter — Google review
A nice big reservoir plenty of lake space that gives everyone room to boat. I may not fish but I sure enjoy a nice filet of Kokanee when someone is willing to share. We camp on King Fisher Island the views are always spectacular! Nice floating docks are scattered around the lake, so much nicer than dropping anchor or beaching the boat.
Pam Ha — Google review
Stayed at Antelope Flats. Kayaked across the reservoir to Green River and came upon Dahl Sheep, 20 feet away. The visitor's center at the dam was nice. Kayaked below the dam for several miles. Class 2 rapids.
Gary Kowal — Google review
What an amazing place. Water is clear, warm and you can boat, kayak, paddle board and fish. Cliffs around the lake are breathtaking. Lots of campgrounds around as well.
Peter Reymer — Google review
Best place for dispersed camping on the water. Only wish people would leave a place better than how they found it. This spot was trashed with fireworks trash, metal sparkler sticks and melted cans in the pit and broken glass. Come on people,it's not hard.
c schroeder — Google review
Beautiful place! Lake views! You can bring your boat, jet ski, side by side! Fun for kids and adults! At night gets cold! Bring a jacket!
NANCY G — Google review
Beaitifull place. The fishing is great. Come to the annual Burbot bash. Great fun.
Reuben Paris — Google review
Had a great adventure here driving all the way into the Wyoming side. We lost Google was crazy but ended up being a tremendously serene and secluded place. Ended up at the Flaming Gorge Reservoir.
It's great that different events are held there. Got to hear from our local senators and representatives. It was pathetic that in Rock Springs, town of over 20,000, barely 40 showed up?! What do you expect? Of course those that weren't there will be the biggest complainers. SHOW UP PEOPLE, MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

when they start treating this like an athletic program instead of a junior varsity property
they might start getting a more consistent turn out of fans to watch the games.
and if they would start charging admission may
be they could afford to hire a decent womens basketball coach. it is going to take a long time to dig out of the mess that this current coach has created. it is an injustice to any female athlete that chose to play at basketball at Western.

I wish the dinosaur exhibits weren't spread throughout the entire college. It'd would be nice if they were just gathered in one spot.
Wendy Shaddon — Google review
Their online classes don't work for people that have a family, and life as well as a full time job. Thank you for ruining my chances of going to a better school.
Jacob Lord — Google review
It's a really nice campus these are just a few of the exhibits they have there didn't want to ruin the experience you have to see the T-Rex and others for yourself!
Brian Aguilar — Google review
Always enjoy going to the theater in the Collage. Enjoy taking the kids to see the dinosaur exhibit and the pendulum. The fossils are way cool. There's a small exhibit of crystals. If you are into science the lab also has some neat stuff to check out.
Redneck Phusion — Google review
They can't be bothered to answer email inquiries, which is extremely common in Wyoming (except for the local library), but very bad form for a college. Maybe the people in charge of responding to emails can't read. Makes me very leery about placing my education in their hands.

I love coming here and sitting on the rocks in the sun. The walking path is great too.
Lanette Ferguson — Google review
Had an hour to kill in Rock Springs and decided to visit the College to see their dinosaur fossil exhibit. Five or six really nice complete animals, plus the college facilities look impressive. Went for a walk on their one mile outdoor track. Very nice surprise and a great way to spend an hour!
Mark Puskar — Google review
My great grandson and I loved the dinosaur expedition! The arrangements were interesting and colorful..also loved the painting we saw on the walls down a hallway of mustangs and Western stuff!
Such a quaint park with meticulously groomed pathways. Water access on both sides. Lots of benches for sitting and swinging. It's so cute and functional. I wish it were in my home town.
Kate Hodgson — Google review
I always think there are crocodiles lurking around in water I can't see through (too much Dinotopia). But I found a cool de@d crawdad(?) here, and also, I encountered no crocodiles. It's not a good place for crocodile hunters, but it is a good place for people who don't want to be devoured while they are minding their own business.

Beautiful park in between the green river. Access to the river is great and reasonable for my toddlers to play. People were floating down the river in life jackets and tubes. The park is also close to a splash pad that looked fun (we just didn’t play there). Bathroom facilities were adequate but there was also a port a potty for if the bathrooms were closed.

We went here for a school field trip and had the most amazing and educational experience! The staff engaged with our students to ensure learning, inquiry, and fun. Displays are well presented with attention to local historical value. The museum is a must see for travelers, educators and locals alike.

Situated in a old historic building, this museum has a small but very nice collection of artifacts, photos, and explanatory info about Green River & the county history. It includes mining, ethnic, railroad, river, and social history. There is a small gift shop. Admission is free and parking on the street is free. Well worth a visit.

Small museum but quite a few interesting items. Gift shop has some books on local history that are worth looking into.
This Wildlife Refuge is flat and somewhat empty, but it is very nice to just drive through, enjoying the views. The place is very peaceful, but closer to the evening there are a lot more small animals on the roads.

We've float fished the Green River from Fontenelle Dam down through the refuge. The fishing is incredible. Big trout and lots of them. Loads of fun. The scenery is way cool. Moose, otters, pelicans and one day at lunch, a special view of mama and poppa eagle with an eaglet in the nest. Really neat!

Really unique area. A bit off the beaten path with lots of gravel road access. A topo map with GPS helps. There is lots of wildlife to see and good early Spring and late Fall fishing in the Green River that runs through it.

It's such a beautiful place to reconnect with nature. The peaceful area is a little piece of heaven on earth. Animals big and small are amazing sights to behold. It's a great place to educate children on a variety of plants, wildlife and water safety. It's also a great place for an afternoon family adventure.

So beautiful and peaceful. We came during the day so we didn't see much wildlife, but it is a beautiful oasis is the middle of a rugged desert. I'd like to float the river through it some day

Museum of the Mountain Man
History museum
Museums
Permanent & temporary exhibits of artifacts connected to 19th-c. fur trade in the Rocky Mountains.
What an incredible place! There is so much history and interesting facts throughout the museum. My father loved this place, and now we do, too. Don't miss the wonderful displays they have downstairs. We couldn't go home without a skunk pelt, a beaver tail, and a Jackalpe! The gift shop has something for everyone.

Worth the visit. They have an informational video about the Mountain Men that is 20 min long. A huge collection of old rifles from the 1800's, authentic trapping gear, leather and felt clothing. Lots of information on original fur trappers and the rendezvous they went to.

What a great tourist attraction and asset to this community! It's fun to walk around and see the amenities of the grounds! Pretty cool area to visit! We enjoyed the tepees and the wide open tourist attractions available, anytime! Pretty impressive!

An exceptional museum. Its unique focus on the mountain men and their challenges and hardships reveal a chapter of US history that many are unaware of. Children will love learning this history which also includes the Native Americans. Excellent panoramic pictures as well as historic paintings bring this time period to life.

We really enjoyed the exhibits and artifacts displayed . Educational and entertaining.
Update 7/31/2018 We were traveling through this area again and decided to stop in for another visit. We were rewarded again as displays had been added to and rearranged. Two of our grandchildren (ages 2 and 5) were with us and were entertained as well. There was even an area for them to dress up, sit on saddles and have their picture taken.

Wife and I travel full time in our F-450 and Grand Design 380-FLR 42Ft. 5th wheel RV. I'm a retired veteran, currently work as a VOIP IT Tech and remote work full time.
One Saturday mid-morning, we were riding through Pinedale Wyoming and saw a sign - Mountain Man Museum. What is this place? We pulled into the gravel parking lot and took a look at the place from the outside.
The first thing that ran through my head was Jerimiah Johnson the mountain man movie with Robert Redford. I wasn't too far off. This build LOOKS small from the outside but believe me, it's rather big once you get in there. It has a basement with the second half of your self tour.
We were a little hesitant to pay the admission fee and am I glad we did. I got a senior discount too. For the small price we got a REAL historical adventure. Starting off, the front reception area was EXTEMELY clean and well taken care of. Restrooms we very clean. This area has your typical pamphlets and trinkets and tourism paraphernalia. The ladies at the front desk were VERY nice and were inquisitive as to where we were from. After a brief conversation and signing the guest book we were led to the entrance at the main theatre where my eyes popped open with excitement.
This is a self paced tour and if you want you can listen to the movies they have playing throughout your self paced tour. I won't go too much into detail since it took us almost 2 hours to go through each exhibit and read and gawk at all the history this place has. Relics from 1700-1800's, An entire section dedicated to the history of the weapons from this era, Army forts things, Indians garb, trapper items, stuffed animals, stories galore.. This was definitely a gem of a find. Who knew in this little town such a treasure of relics and history could be found.
For those interested in this kind of stuff, OR you have children that you want to pass on this type of United States history that most people don't know or understand, PLEASE go here.
I HIGHLY recommend this place to all audiences.

Had a great time here. June 2020. I have been doing native American powwows and regalia making for much of my life but I built my first flintlock rifle this year and am in the process of creating a mountain man persona. I got a LOT of pictures and ideas from here. The exhibits were good quality and interesting. There is plenty to look at especially if you enjoy the fur trade time period. I have a ton more pictures of detailed pieces but I don’t want to post too much and ruin it for ya!

This a wonderful museum! Loved every bit of it. In my opinion, it is second only to the Cody, WY museum. It is well worth the drive, and a great value. The displays are very well done. I'm very impressed and became an instant fan!
Nestled in the mountains of Jackson, Wyoming lies Granite Hot Springs, a popular attraction for those seeking relaxation and outdoor adventure. The campsite boasts two pools filled with warm spring water rich in minerals, one natural and one man-made. Visitors can enjoy hiking in the nearby Gros Ventre Mountains or fishing in Granite Creek. A short drive away is the picturesque Grand Teton National Park.
This was pretty amazing to swim in the Hot Springs. It's a long 10 mile drive on gravel road deep into the mountains, but the drive itself was absolutely beautiful! The river and mountains are breathtaking and there is a beautiful waterfall that is a must see just before you get to the end of the road at the Hot Springs. Cost was very reasonable and very much worth the drive and I would highly recommend for anyone going through Jackson Hole in the Teton Mountains.

A short walk from the parking lot. Handicapped parking is available closet to the pool.

This is a great place to 'soak' your muscles after a hard hike! There is a changing area upstairs. **Beware, the road is not paved at all; very rocky/large gravel, so if you don't have a 4WD vehicle, expect a long drive ... it took us 45 minutes to drive 10 miles!**

Beautiful mountain drive. The hot springs it self is older and rugged, it has bathroom and changing room. We found a snake in the rocks. Beautiful hiking area.

I loved this experience so much!!! The road was really bumpy and dusty. Make sure you bring cash to pay!!! I would suggest going in the morning or sometime in October when the outside temperatures are cooler. Such a nice and relaxing way to spend my Saturday enjoying the outdoors!

A perfect little gem! The road was rough, but manageable. Very inexpensive for a days worth of fun! The gentleman who works there, is extremely pleasant and nice. I appreciate that he would answer all of my questions! I would recommend showing up at 10 am when they open, so that you aren't in the heat of the day. Bring a picnic and enjoy!!

Beautiful place. Very warm for daytime swimming in summer. The water is just under 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Otherwise, this place is just awesome.
Came for the beers (which were amazing) but was overwhelmingly surprised with the food. The views are also incredible and there are plenty of camping spots all around. Will definitely come again!

Great beer, atmosphere, staff and location. You can camp right next to the brewery on the water. Kid and dog friendly. Erin was great with our little one. The beers satisfied all the beer lovers in our group. We will definitely be back.

Fun place, LOTS of options; 3 different alcoholic slushy options + tons of craft beers + mixed drinks & food I believe (but we didn't order food so I'm not positive). Lots of seating inside & outside under cover. The views outside are unbelievably gorgeous. Great MC ride from Idaho Falls!! Definitely will go again

All you could ask for in a brewery: scenic views, indoor/outdoor seating, dog friendly, friendly staff, and delicious grub and drinks. I got the flight (which had I paid individually for the sips, it would have been cheaper). I personally loved the Alpine Soul (a nice smokiness) but the 2x4 is amazing as well.
Samantha Wendt — Google review
Great place! An actual industrial sized brewery in the small Wyoming town, with a bar and restaurant inside that are super fun. Picnic tables with super casual feel Wyoming style. Family friendly dining inside and outside. I have only seen this place in the off-season, but it looks like it is the host of some large events. I will be back to report some more soon. Also this place is dog friendly with a waste pickup station, outside the building of course.

Great beer, great burgers and an AMAZING view!
We've been twice already since visiting and will probably be back 2 more times before we leave. We love it here! AND we plan to stay here with our RV because this is a Harvest Host location (probably one of the best in the country).

Amazing food, great staff, awesome beer. One star down because they put SWEET pickles on everything including the burgers. Some people like it, but damn if I’m going to spend $20 on a burger please clarify this on menu. Just says “pickles” in the description, and it overpowers any other flavor in the burger.

So glad I finally made it to Alpine. I've been a fan of Melvin beer for many years frequenting Thai-me-up every time I am in Jackson. Came here with a big group and had a great time playing bags and listening to the house band. Nice point for sunset. Too bad they were low on swag, I would have bought more. Great burgers. 2x4 and Citradamus were my favorite beers.
Mani Towoc — Google review
Amazingly good beers, small wine and cider selection and excellent food. The potstickers!! Boom.
This is a working brewery so it can be loud inside, so get over it. Excellent outside seating area for good weather descent space inside but it can fill up fast.
All around five stars but they lost a star because honestly some of the staff was awesome and some of them seemed put out they had to deal with customers. Talking with others who’d been here before, it sounds like a recurring theme. Anyway everything else is 5.

The appetizers were phenomenal- I would highly recommend the deep fried avocados! The burgers, however, were extremely disappointing. I got the Drunken Master Burger and it was so dry. It would have tasted a lot better with a tomato or some lettuce. You can’t even taste the bacon spread or aioli. Definitely not worth $16 for a plain cheese burger.

After the new remodeling food is good but pricey. Fried portobello mushroom was the best. Beer is always delicious. New staff was friendly and helpful.

If there was ever a need for a 6th star this place is it. Amazing suds, great chill atmosphere, stellar setting. Melvin sets the gold standard to which all other suds operations should be judged. As the service was friendly and professional (thanks for taking our pix at sunset). And the can art along with the decor is awesome. The outside beer garden is the perfect spot to enjoy a cold beer and view nature!

The National Elk Refuge is a protected area in Jackson Hole, Wyoming that is home to elk herds in winter. The refuge offers car rides and sleigh rides to see the animals up close. It is one of the premier wildlife destinations in the country.
We came to the elk refuge for the sleigh ride without a reservation and the ladies in the ticket booth got us in when another party hadn't shown up and within 5 minutes we were on the shuttle to get to the sleigh ride. The whole process to get on the ride was quick and easy. The only downfall is the area you load into the ride was very muddy (probably due to the recent snow melting). We also didn't have a "sleigh" ride it was more of a pulled wagon due to the snow melting and it was super bumpy, but overall our guide was very knowledgeable and we enjoyed seeing all of the Elk. My 6 year old daughter loved it. We would definitely do this tour again!

This place is truly one of a kind, it’s so beautiful and there’s wildlife everywhere. You never know what’s gonna be out there. Great for a hike or a nice walk, you really get to see the natural beauty of Jackson Hole!

Amazing experience! I went out before the sun was up and watched the sun hit the Tetons. I then watched a pack of coyotes kill a elk calf and then fight eagles over the calf for hours. I also saw bighorn sheep and moose.

This is a wonder-filled adventure for everyone! Cole our wagon-master was a real horseman and a very educated young man regarding horses, elk behavior and biology and eco-system awareness of the refuge. Coyotes and a Adult Bald Eagle rounded out our tour perfectly. Highly recommend.

Our sleigh ride experience at the elk refuge was exhilarating!
Lynn was knowledgeable & gave us a whole new appreciation for the wildlife and the refuge.

There were no elk at the time we drove through... better time to visit is when it's colder and the elk have actually come down to the refuge from the mountains. (Dec-Apr)
Overall, it was scenic and you can get great views of the Tetons!

If you are visiting Jackson, the National Elk Refuge under the management of U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is a must visit; however, the elks migrate and stay there only during the winter, so plan appropriately. Admission is free (unless you opt to take the sleigh ride), and access is by the National Elk Refuge Road via East Broadway Ave of Jackson. There is also an observation deck at the back of the visitor center in the center of town. When we visited between Christmas and New Year's Day, numerous elks were huddled in the fields around south of the refuge near the Miller House historical landmark. Make sure to bring your binoculars and super telephoto lens if you want to see the elks and bighorn sheep close-up.
Steve Fung — Google review
Incredible! I had no idea this would be so easily accessible and free! You can just drive right through, stop on the pullouts and enjoy the thousands of elk. We saw a bunch of ram as well that were fighting and very active. So glad we stumbled on this place and went. The road actually goes on for a very long way that not many people I noticed venture out to. We did and saw a lot more wildlife.

Nice little setup inside. Very clean and very polite/helpful employees. It has a nice little gift shop and has the stamps for the journey and passport collection books. Very beautiful outside view. Telescope to see the Elk way out in the fields. 10-15 min walk thru.

What’s not to like about the Elk refuge? We didn’t take the tour but drove around the back side. The elk were all right in the middle of the refuge so we didn’t get a good look at them. But, there was a bunch of mountain goats climbing the cliffs and just relaxing in the grass.
LISA HANEY — Google review
The sleigh rides at the National Elk Refuge was such a wonderful experience! Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Bring layers if you're going in the winter. The elk are so majestic and even got to see some of the males play fighting each other with their horns. We also had a surprise guest appearance from a beautiful bald eagle. Sorry to everyone who had to deal with our over-tired toddler 😬 Stunning views.

This place is awesome. I have the opportunity to be one of the sleigh guides and see what really goes on out here. Getting up close and personal with these Elk is truly an incredible experience. These animals are wild and you get to see them in their natural winter environment. It is a must for anyone coming to the Jackson Hole area. Dress warm and come on over. you are in for a ride of a lifetime.
The Jackson Hole Rodeo is a great place to take the family for an evening of fun. There are bull riding, barrel racing, calf roping and more. Good food and cold beer is available.

Well worth the price. They do a great job of getting the crowed involved, very interactive and thought out. Be careful when buying tics online as brokers and third party websites come up before the actual Rodeo ticket page and charge $100’s of dollars more than what tics actually cost from the rodeo. It’s definitely a must see if in town for the weekend.
mbodella — Google review
My first experience at a rodeo. I did enjoy the activities although I do feel that there could have been more of a rodeo vs filling up the time with random activities and games with the crowd. Of course I realize some of that is a part of the rodeo but then again I paid quite a bit of money for a ticket to see a real rodeo. They had a handful of bulls and riders. The food and drinks was outrageous. The cheapest item was a very small 4.00 box of pop corn. All in all it was a okay experience the bull riders did a great job out there.

One of the best rodeos I’ve ever been to. I’ve been going to rodeos my entire life, probably been to over 75 and this one was amazing. It even topped some of the PBR’s I’ve been too. There was always action, and no corny clowns. The facility was very nice, and the staff was beyond nice. Would def recommend.

We attended the Rodeo on Saturday Night while visiting Jackson Hole. We had a great time and highly recommend this for the entire family. The Announcer was fabulous, and everyone involved with putting on the show was professional and appeared to really enjoy their jobs. Towards the end of the show, they hosted a competition for groups of kids, 5 and under and between 5 and 11 years of age. They were chasing sheep and trying to get a ribbon in exchange for a prize. They had a blast. The Rodeo Competitors won’t let you down either. Their highly competitive and put in a tremendous show. Do you and you family a favor and don’t miss an opportunity to attend this rodeo. It starts at 8:00 pm and is over at 10:00 pm.

This was our first rodeo. We sat next to a couple from TX and they said this is how rodeos are supposed to be and this truly authentic. We enjoyed ourselves. Very patriotic environment with horses, announcer, Star Spangled Banner, etc. They also were very safe when they invited the kids to come into circle by locking all the gates so no one wandered off with a kid. They ensured all kids were back with their parents prior to opening the gates. Would definitely recommend for all ages young and old alike.

Have to be honest, this was a boatload of fun. Wouldn't by any stretch have imagined I'd have such a good time at a rodeo, but this place was definitely worth the visit. No idea what was going on with the bull riding (the scoring criteria was a bit to follow, with the exception of the 8 second timer) but still it was cool to see all the women and men competing. The announcers were hilarious, and the whole atmosphere was welcoming. Lots of fun for the kids.

Out in Jackson Hole, under the wide open sky,
Where the stars gleam bright and the wind sings high,
There's a rodeo, friend, that'll steal your heart away,
With buckin' broncs and brave cowboys, a thrillin' display.
The Jackson Hole Rodeo, it's a sight to behold,
Where the dust kicks up and the stories are told.
Bulls snortin' fire, ridin' high and wild,
Cowgirls spurrin' hard, like a motherless child.
The crowd roars loud, with a cheer and a holler,
As riders cling on, showin' true grit and dollar.
Barrel racers fly, like a bat outta hell,
And them ropers, quick as a ringin' church bell.
So if you're lookin' for action, in Jackson Hole town,
Where the spirit of the West never does slow down,
Head to that rodeo, let your heart run free,
The Jackson Hole Rodeo, where the West's meant to be.
Jackson Town Square is a popular park with iconic elk antler archways at each corner and a grassy center with trees and benches. The reviewers on Trip Advisor who have been there say that it is a great place to sit and people watch, and that it is convenient to all the shops. The creatures in the park are also popular.
What a great place. Luckily it's off season for tourists. Ended up buying a mini hair tie in the fur shop. That's about all most people could afford.

Cool quaint town to eat, shop or just hang out. Very walkable, free public parking with multiple entrances and moderately expensive but beautiful and well stocked shops. Easy 2-3 hours well spent.
We did find a parking spot but no info about fees or clarity if it was free. We did park for 2 hours and no tickets. Some construction at the end of June 2022 making a bit congested in a particular area.

The town square in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, is a delightful destination brimming with character. Anchored by a small park adorned with elk antler arches at its four corners, it offers a picturesque setting for visitors to explore. The town square of downtown Jackson Hole is very unique and charming. The antler archers on the 4 corners of the town square are a staple for your visit. We enjoyed a beautiful brisk afternoon walking around and popping into the different shops. My main reason for giving 4 stars is that I wish downtown Jackson Hole had more local good/unique shops rather than SO many touristy tee shirt shops.

Jackson Town square is a must see!
Amier arches, have been gales to the Jackson Town Square 1 since 1960. The antlers are from elk that winter on the National Elk Refuge. About 7,500 elk spend each winter on the refuge. The bulls shed their antlers each spring. Antlers are picked up by local Boy Scouts and sold by public auction in this square each May. All four arches were built by the Jackson Hole Rotary Club.
The arches are here for all to enjoy
it is unlawful to remove antlers from
these arches, and subject to $750 in fines.

In Jackson's heart, where legends ride,
A tradition lives, with a cowboy stride.
The Town Square Shootout, a Wild West play,
For sixty-five years, it's held its sway.
Memorial to Labor, each summer night,
The streets come alive, in the fading light.
The Chamber of Commerce, the Playhouse true,
Bring history to life, for me and for you.
From six to seven, the gunslingers stand,
Reenacting the past, a courageous band.
Four million souls, they've witnessed the sight,
Of bullets and showdowns, as day turns to night.
No need for a ticket, no need for a fee,
Just gather 'round, let your spirit run free.
At half past five, on the northeast side,
In Jackson's Town Square, let history ride.

Cozy center of town surrounded by some decent eateries and overpriced tourist trap bars & shops.
The town used to have meaning. Historic value. Check out Clint Eastwood I. 'every which way but loose' and 'every which way you can.' Much of the second film was made in Jackson and one gets a feel for it's charm. We started having annual family camping trips in the 80's near Teton Village. Now the campground is a private gated community with 7 or 8 twenty million dollar homes. Yeah, they're nice but get real. When the average citizen cannot gain access, camp with their kids or share an afternoon doing what families have been doing there for centuries, it makes me sick knowing it belongs to the spoiled few who could in all reality care less about the rest of us, the past struggles of ordinary immigrants and trappers, their sacrifices and harsh realities. Not to mention the natives who once inhabited the land with reverence. The idea of 'owning' the land was preposterous to them. You cannot own the land. You take from it and give back. Let's give it all back to them so it can become as it once was: proud, glorious and free

This is a very unique picturesque public space. It is not very big but very beautiful.
It is surrounded by unique wooden boardwalks, local shops, art galleries and restaurants. One of the most notable features of the town square are the iconic elk antler arches, which were constructed from shed antlers collected from the nearby National Elk Refuge. There is a giant arch at each corner of the square.
The town square serves as a gathering place for locals and tourists, offering a variety of activities and events throughout the year. During the summer, the square hosts farmers markets where visitors can find fresh produce, local crafts and homemade goods. Art festivals, concerts and other cultural events are also held on the square, providing entertainment for visitors of all ages.
In the winter, the town square is transformed into a winter wonderland. Festive lights adorn the trees and an ice skating rink is set up for visitors to enjoy. The annual holiday tradition of lighting the town square Christmas tree attracts locals and tourists alike, creating a joyful and festive atmosphere.
In addition to its attractions and events, the town square is a starting point for exploring nearby Grand Teton National Park and world-renowned Yellowstone National Park. Visitors will find information centers and tour operators around the square, offering guidance and assistance for outdoor adventures.

There are several Elk Antler Archs across Wyoming, but those one in Jackson around the city park are by far the most impressive.

Jackson Hole is a busy tourist town with many stores and restaurants. The Elk Arch park is in the center of the town with four arches at four corners made of elk horns. It’s very unique.

Very cool, kitschy tourist spot for pics. Parking can be tough to find for sure. But worth a stop to see. Nice park area with seating if you want to grab lunch to eat there.

Visiting the Elk Antler Arch in Jackson Hole was an unforgettable experience. This iconic landmark, artistically crafted from naturally shed elk antlers, stands as a majestic gateway to the town square, encapsulating the spirit and beauty of the surrounding wilderness. The craftsmanship is remarkable, and the scale of the arch is truly awe-inspiring, providing a perfect backdrop for photos and a tangible connection to the area's rich wildlife heritage.
The atmosphere around the arch is vibrant and welcoming, with the lively buzz of visitors and locals alike admiring this unique piece of art. It's a testament to Jackson Hole's commitment to preserving and celebrating its natural and cultural history. Whether you're strolling through the town square, shopping at the local boutiques, or enjoying a meal at one of the nearby cafes, the Elk Antler Arch adds a sense of wonder and charm to the entire experience.
For anyone visiting Jackson Hole, this landmark is a must-see. It's not just an arch; it's a symbol of the community's connection to nature and the wild spirit of the West. I highly recommend taking the time to visit and experience the magic of the Elk Antler Arch for yourself. It's an experience that encapsulates the beauty and grandeur of Jackson Hole and leaves you with lasting memories.

There was a festival think going on till noon when we got there. Like a farmers market with live music. The square itself supposedly no dog or smoking allowed but both were common to see. Lots of benches in the park though while we were there people were using most of them for their stuff and standing around them protecting them. It was very odd. Arches at each of the 4 entrances. Also horse carriage rides.

Jackson Town Square has four elk antler arches, one in each corner, the first being erected in 1953, by the then Rotary Club. It was a huge surprise hit for them, so they started to plan for arches on the other three corners of the Square. All four arches were completed in 1969, with “shed” antlers being harvested from the National Elk Refuge. The arches that stand on the corners now are the second rebuild, since the bone antlers need periodic replacing. Antlers are interwoven around a steel frame and secured as needed. Each arch has approximately 2,000 complete antlers, weighing in at between 10,000 to 20,000 pounds.
The Southwest Arch is the most popular for photographs, so if one wants a less crowded view, try one of the others, as I did.
There was absolutely no place to park on this very crowded day, so I had to get out, while someone else kept the car moving. I took two photos, one of the crowd at the SW Arch, and one at the NW Arch, where I was alone.

Don't bring your four legged friends here even in the park, especially in their doggy bucket list trip. 💔🐾 Not a dog friendly town from what we could tell. You can still stand outside the arches and take photos. They are impressive.

Iconic spot in Jackson. Hard to park if you have a small travel trailer or RV. It would be nice to have signage for parking instead of all of the no RV signs. You have to go 4 to 5 blocks to park as we did.

This is amazing, all these antlers that make up 4 arches in Jackson's city park, WOW. ❤️
Jackson Hole Aerial Tram and Gondola Rides is a ski resort located in the beautiful valley of Jackson Hole, Wyoming. With views of both Snow King Mountain and Grand Teton National Park, this resort offers an array of activities for visitors to enjoy during the winter season. The aerial tram ride up to the top of the mountain offers a great way to see all that this ski resort has to offer, while also enjoying happy hour on The Deck, which overlooks the whole of the Hole.
The aerial tram ride was totally worth the money (even if it is a little pricey - order the tickets online for a little discount)! A quick and scenic ride gets you up to the top in 15 minutes (or less, if there's weather coming in). You can easily hike around the summit of the resort and check out some of your favorite ski runs. There is also a waffle shack where you can grab a snack and a beer and enjoy the views. Will definitely come back here again .

This place is so cool! Sadly, we went while the tram was closed for the summer BUT we still had a great time! From the guys working the free parking booth helping us with navigation and offering us a nice map as first time visitors, to the nice employees who made buying tickets for the gondola and ropes course easy and the sweet employees at the ropes course letting me sit in the shade while my sister was on the course- this experience could have only have been better if the smoke from the California fires could've gone away!
Anyways, we will definitely be coming back to do everything we couldn't do yet like mountain biking, hiking and rock climbing! There is just so much cool stuff to do here! This place was definitely a 6 out of 5 stars and definitely has there s%*t together to help families have a wonderful trip! Thanks guys!

Very fun experience. There’s a waffle cabin where you can grab a drink, annnd waffles! It’s about 20 degrees colder up there so dress appropriately. Staff was very nice and informative. You don’t need to be a skier to enjoy this tram!

This was an awesome experience! We went early and actually got to see the clouds settled in the valley as we rode the tram up. Make sure to grab a waffle at the top and enjoy the views! It's breathtaking!

We had an unforgettable time at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, where the breathtaking scenery immediately captivated us upon arrival. The Aerial Tram and Gondola rides were undeniably the highlights of our trip.
The evening Aerial Tram ride provided a magical and exclusive experience. To save time, you can purchase tickets online or conveniently buy them at counters for the evening gondola. As we ascended, the twinkling lights of the resort and nearby town painted a picturesque scene, which we couldn't resist capturing with our cameras.
Reaching the summit, we were in awe of the panoramic views. The top offered a selection of restaurants to grab a bite while enjoying the stunning views from above. On the day of our visit, we were fortunate to be entertained by a live music band, adding to the memorable evening.
The Gondola ride down the mountain was equally enchanting, as the resort's glowing lights created a warm and inviting atmosphere.
In conclusion, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort with its Aerial Tram and Gondola rides is a must-visit for any adventure seeker or nature enthusiast. The resort provides an extraordinary experience that will undoubtedly leave you with cherished memories.

Purchased the family day pass and spent most of the afternoon here. Free parking and lot of food options at the base. Amazing waffles at the top of the mountain if you take air tram. There are plenty of hiking trails at the top. We did cirque trail which was awesome. Little difficult because of loose rocks and snow patches but doable for casual hikers. There are lot of other activities to do too. Bungee jumping and bike riding options.

The aerial tram was awesome! The ride was smooth. I’m afraid of heights, and only the last minute of the ride up the mountain triggered a bit of panic. But the views from the summit were worth it! The tram operators were friendly and offered advice on things to do in the area. There’s a small cabin at the summit where you can buy waffles, snacks, and drinks. GET THE HOT CHOCOLATE! Delicious.

Good service at the Gondola, nice maps of hiking trails. Just stunning views to wherever you look.
The Restaurant on top was nice with some really good pizza. Having that on the terrace by fabulous sunshine and the great view was awesome. We hiked a couple of trails on top and then decided to walk down. It was no piece of cake and we were late to catch the other Gondola half way down. Our knees and toes suffered a bit on the way down however it is doable. Many nice benches and resting places to take it easy. I hope to be back.

This attraction is very limited for the majority of the visitors. When we went up, it was around 2pm and 30+mph winds. Upon reaching the top, we ordered our $9 waffles then headed back down. (Peanut butter & bacon, and lemon) By the time we came back from the second tram, the winds were 67mph The operators told us that the cable cars could withstand 80mph winds, but advised us to head back down immediately since the winds were picking up so quickly. There was nothing to do at the top. Some people were hiking, and others had their mountain bikes. Weren't able to enjoy the other gondolas that were included in the price, due to the weather, so I can't rate them. Gave 4* for the safety advice of the operator, and the owner interaction. Thank you, Lexi, it was a pleasure speaking with you.

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is one of the most popular ski resorts in the country with challenging terrain, an aerial tram, and lively base village. With more than 4,000 feet of vertical terrain and unprecedented access to out-of-bounds terrain, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is perfect for skiers of all levels.
One of the best ski resorts in the U.S. for many reasons. The mountain is spectacular and boasts some of the most challenging runs in the world. That being said, they are very friendly toward beginning skiers and boarders offering one of the best ski schools I've seen with high caliber instructors. Hope that continues because this is one of the main reasons we continue to choice Jackson Hole every year. They've been able to retain top quality employees throughout the resort from instructors to food service to mountain hosts. On that note, they have tons of staff everywhere to help you with anything and they are genuinely kind, friendly and not lazy. I've seen other resorts really lacking in this department and it really ruins your vacation when you come across negative employees.
They limit ticket sales and require Ikon reservations so it's never horribly crowded like Mammoth.
There are plenty of delicious food choices throughout the resort and some are really top notch. Definitely one of the best resorts for food quality and variety.
The buyers do a great job of stocking the stores with a varied selection of nice quality merchandise. One thing they don't have a ton of is kid's equipment for sale so if you need that you need to go to town or just rent.
Really nice to see that this resort has been able to grow but still retain its friendly small town personality.

My First visit in December 2021 was epic. Challenging terrain, incredible snow conditions, well groomed, friendly and helpful staff, many lifts and gondolas, multiple options for food/drink, and downright beautiful.
There were some things that were less-than-epic though. Finding a Parking spot was challenge, and parking is expensive ($30-40 for a few hours). Private lesson was great for my sons but expensive - almost $800 for 4 hours. An electrical problem disabled most of the lifts one day…A refund wasn’t offered. Lift tickets are very expensive - $135 for half day. Weeks in advance, I Couldn’t even get full day tickets because they were limiting sales due to Covid (?) My sons are novice-level snowboarders and beginner terrain is limited.

Nice mountain. Parking if you are staying in a condo near the resort is atrocious. Food in the resort was decent. Having zero water fountains in the resort is also a huge drag. Come prepared or be prepared to spend time driving each day to Jackson for food and such. The slopes here are definitely a place I'd not bring a first timer or uncomfortable person unless you're prepared to stay down low all day.

Challenging, well maintained mountain resort in Jackson, Wyoming. With tons of trails and lifts, you can get runs in where you never see another person. Unique feature of the resort is the aerial tram that takes skiers to the top at over 10,000 vertical feet. Ski rental, bars, restaurants and hotels right at the base of the mountain so you have everything you could need at your fingertips.

Steep and fun. Be sure to get the free carpool parking to save yourself $20-40. The tram is fun but the run is only good if you can make the first or second tram of the morning. We found getting in line by 830am on a weekday worked. Otherwise the run will be tracked out.
Highly recommend the Rendezvous lodge for lunch. Beautiful views and good food.

Jackson Hole was my first ever experience snowboarding out west. We were so spoiled, and had a huge fresh powder blue bird day on our first day. But aside from that, the conditions have been amazing very time we have gone. Seemingly endless terrain, and fresh new ways to get down from the tram time and time again. Visiting in the summer is also amazing. Hiking, restaurants, playgrounds for the kids, etc. Can't wait to be back!

Daughter really wanted to do the bungee jumping activity until we saw the ropes course -- she was super excited. The course had perfect beginner "green" obstacles to learn, and progress from the various green to blue to black courses.
The instructors were fantastic and made the experience wonderful. I highly recommend doing the ropes course if you have time!

Great resort even if you don’t catch any powder days. If you get lucky with the snow this mountain will spoil other mountains for you. Long runs and great terrain. Crowds spread out nicely because the mountain is so big. If you are lucky you can even see some moose hanging out at the bottom of the trails. Ride the tram to the top for the views and Grab a waffle.

Triangle X Ranch is a renowned outfitter that offers scenic float trips on the Snake River in Grand Teton National Park. The outfitters expertise allows for a safe and comfortable trip down the 10 most stunning river miles in the park, providing a unique vantage point from which to see the Tetons and other wildlife up close.
The views were beautiful and the weather was fantastic. The rafting company made the experience turnkey from managing getting on the river and off without a hitch. Safety was 1st class and our guide was fantastic telling us stories about the river and surrounding area. Highly recommend this company for a float trip. We really enjoyed our Scenic River Cruise with Triangle X Ranch! Scheduled the 5 pm tour so we could catch some beautiful sunset views of the Tetons. Our raft had 6 people total and made for lively conversation! Dan, our guide, exercised the utmost in skills and safety all while telling interesting stories about Grand Teton National Park’s history, wildlife, and other various activities to experience while visiting. He even spotted a moose, beaver, and river otter for us! We absolutely recommend this relaxing cruise down the beautiful Snake River.

S and I booked this trip as part of our one week in Yellowstone and surrounding area. Our float guide and driver were both personable and knowledgeable! We had 10 people on the tour, all were pleasant. Scenery was stunning, as everyone's pics verify. We saw 4 bald eagles in the two hours ... one of them taking a splash bath in the river. And then amazingly, two moose(s?) drinking from the river within 100 yards of our pull-out. Great time, heartily recommend.

The scheduling and signing of waivers were all on line and easy. Instructions were clear about where to meet the crew. There were about 32 people that went, but the rafts were not packed (about 8 people per raft). Everything was on time and organized. We even got help putting on the life vests which are provided. I felt totally safe the entire float. It was so beautiful and was the highlight of our Montana/Wyoming trip. This is well worth the money!

The Float and the float guide (Jack) were a great experience, but pass on the dinner it's not worth the money. The float is very relaxing our guide did an excellent job guiding the tour on a windy day and still spotting lots of wildlife. We did the evening dinner float and the food was not good at all, the chicken breast was burned to a literal black crisp and was inedible, the other offerings were steak, salad, green beans, some diced fried potatoes, and a cookie--none of it standout and certainly not worth the extra money charged for dinner. Take the float, don't invest in the dinner and save the money to tip the guide.

My wife and I had a wonderful couple of hours on our scenic raft trip with Turner down the Snake River. We met in Moose for a brief drive upriver to the launch site, and after a short safety briefing and getting into lifejackets, we climbed aboard with our 11 other riders and guide. My first question was quickly answered. We didn't get wet at all. It was a peaceful, leisurely, lovely float for the next 10 miles. Our guide Turner did an outstanding job keeping us in the flow of the water while describing our surroundings. He could spin the raft with ease, allowing for personal pictures with the Teton peaks in the background. He answered every question asked and spotted bald eagles for us to see. Definitely a couple of the best hours spent on our month long vacation. We had such a great time, we had to later stop at the IX Ranch to pick up some swag. Well done to everyone at Triangle X! One of the top places to stop in Victor while you are visiting that fine city! Great atmosphere safe distancing out on the lawn and very friendly staff. If you are thirsty and need a cold drink or food they can help you out with that to plenty of options on tap or in the fridge and can also order from the retail store to take some souvenirs home! This location practices very through and safe COVID-19 policies. They require masks and social distancing inside and allow for limited contact curbside pick up if requested. They limit the number of customers at any given time and keep the location very clean. I generally feel quite safe when visiting this place.
Cannot say enough good things! We had a group of 11 beginner riders and it was the absolute best experience. This is a family-owned operation and they were welcoming, patient, and all around great people. It felt like a true, local experience and not some touristy horseback riding. We did the 2 hour trail ride and it's truly something I'll never forget. Insanely beautiful views of different landscapes for the entire ride and great horses (shoutout to Rudy!). They have two cabins for rent on Airbnb, they are perfect! Room to sleep about 6 people and a kitchenette. Right outside are horses and a herd of 300 elk! Perfect place to stay in victor Idaho.

The highlight of our trip! We had the best time on our trail ride! The horses were beautiful and well mannered. Kent, Ashley, and Cassidy were our trail guides. They were all so nice. What a beautiful, scenic, mountain ride. We loved every minute, thank you!

Wonderful! Would highly recommend! Pauline and Kent and their granddaughters were fantastic at helping and accommodating our large group! Each one had a wonderful time. They were knowledgeable and kind and so helpful for those who didn’t know how to ride! The horses were wonderful as well and I can’t say enough good about them!

My husband and I went in their 3 hour morning trail ride and it was wonderful. They are very experienced and patient with novice riders. It was a beautiful ride and wasn’t just simple trail- we went over downed trees and up and down steep slopes. A lot of fun and well worth the price.

Amazing, knowledgeable, and warm staff, wonderful trails with fantastic views. I would highly recommend a ride with this ranch they far exceeded my expectations. Did two rides this week and already planning another, I drove 16 hours for this trip should give some sense of the quality time I shared at this ranch.

During our stay in the Teton Valley we took our two kids(12 and 10) horseback riding here. We've been on a few other horseback rides in the area but Teton Mountain Ranch was far and away the best experience we've had. The family that owns the outfit is very personable - they were great guides and made the experience enjoyable. The trail and views were awesome. We can't recommend this place enough!!!

Wonderful experience with this sweet family! We have been on many trail rides and this was one of the best we have been on. The horses looked healthy and happy. I rode Sage who handled the trails like a boss. The owners and their grand daughters were very knowledgeable, good conversationalists and organized. We will be back to this ranch!

We had a beautiful 2 hour ride today. Everyone was so nice and helpful. We took our 7 year old and he did great on the horse thanks to the ranch owner and other experienced patient riders/ranch family members who guided us. Beautiful views and was an exciting ride. Highly recommend from start to finish.

This was our first time visiting the Teton Valley and the first time being on horses. We had an amazing time! This is a family run operation and they were wonderful. They treated their horses well and gave helpful tips when any of the horses misbehaved. :) Their love for the area was evident and we enjoyed learning more about it. The ride was beautiful and fun. I would highly recommend taking a horse ride with them! We will be back!

The Bagley family was very personable, professional and knowledgeable. We had a fantastic time on the 2 hour ride. Our horses were well trained and well behaved. The area was absolutely beautiful. We rode through valley's, streams and mountainous terrain and enjoyed the splendor of nature. I would absolutely recommend this ride to anyone. Thanks so much to the Bagley's for an amazing ride.

Jenny Lake is a beautiful glacial mountain lake located in the heart of Grand Teton National Park. It's a popular spot for hiking, fishing, swimming, and boating during the summer months. If you're visiting in the summer, it's important to note that campsites can fill up quickly so be sure to plan your trip ahead!
Jenny Lake is one of the most popular sites in Grand Teton National Park. It is very beautiful area. There is a visitor center, camp ground and large parking lots at south east edge of the lake. From there there is a trail going north to Jenny Lake Overlook which is not very impressive. If you go south you get to boat station from which you can take a boat to the start of Cascade Canyon trail on west side of the lake. The fare is $12 for adult. Taking the boat would shave about 2 miles from the hike to where boat take you. From there there is 0.5 mile trail to Hidden Falls which are beautiful, and from there another half mile hike upward takes you to Inspirational Point with great views of the lake from the top.
If you plan to visit get there early otherwise parking may become a problem.
Talal Zraik — Google review
My husband and I snowshoed all the way to Hidden Falls and Inspiration Point yesterday. Unfortunately, because the snow covered most of the trails and we came out on the first day it opened, we were unable to find the Jenny Lake Trailhead from the South entrance that hugs the left side of the lake. Instead we took the trail that looks like the black dotted line more on the left on the AllTrails map (the Western leg of the Hidden Falls loop trail). We followed the tracks of other snowshoes. It takes you up the mountain to incredible views of the lake along the way. Just be aware that at one point, you’re essentially walking across a double black diamond slope over 3-4 feet of snow. After seeing the falls and Inspiration Point, we tried to find the trail that hugs the lake on our way back South (we decided not the do the whole loop around Jenny Lake since it was going to rain), but found bear tracks and decided to turn around and go back the same way we came from. It was difficult to hike this with snowshoes, so it would be incredibly challenging to attempt this without at this time. The bridges that cross the river were also covered in 4 feet of snow.
Christine L. — Google review
One of the most beautiful views in the world! I got there at 8am on a late May morning, before the crowds, and had much of the loop trail to myself. The lake was mirror-like and the sky was a bright blue with a few billowing clouds - just spectacular! Don't miss the chance to see it yourself, the photos are awesome, but don't do it justice. Plan ahead to miss the crowds. Very highly recommended!

Go here immediately. Simply stunning beauty. Breathtaking. Crystal clear water. Kids loved it. The bottom of the lake is a bit rocky so water shoes recommended. Go really early or late afternoon to get a parking spot.

Still a lot of snow when we visited. Even covered with snow, the lake has the beauty of nature. Would love to go back again in summer time.

Amazing place in the Grand Teton National Park 🏞️. The lake is beautiful and water is very clean and calm. We took the boat ride across the Jenny Lake to reach the base of the Teton. The trek to inspiration point and the hidden falls start from here. Jenny Lake is a definite visit during your trip to Grand Teton.

Beautiful Lake. Nice bridge to cross when following the trail. We rode over 10,000 feet in elevation to the top of Paintbrush Canyon. Loved every minute of it 🙂 The Lake was so peaceful.
ShonnaLee — Google review
Amazing clear lake with even more amazing views. There are several trails to choose from. One is very easy around the right shore of the lake. You could also take the boat to the trail that leads to the falls. The boat didn't run in the middle of May, so a little research is necessary when the boat season actually starts.
Although there are plenty of parking spots, they fill up quickly. You should get there very early or have endless patience waiting for a car to leave.
This being nature, you may encounter wildlife.
In mid-May there were sometimes piles of snow and part of the lake was frozen.
Ingrid Kacaniova — Google review
Very pretty. Clear water. Breathtaking. Too many people. Arrive at like 6am if you want a parking spot in the parking lot. I wanted to a different hike but the only hike available was Jenny Lake. Not too many people on this one. So that was nice.

Jenny Lake is a gorgeous place, with a lot to offer and a photographer’s delight. We took an interpretative boat tour of the lake on a sunny afternoon, and under light rain, a play between clouds and bright sunlight made for the very best and lively views of the Grand Teton peaks (we felt so close to them). On the others side, the discovery trail led to impressive waterfalls, and a great view of the lake from a height. If you can hike further up and we did not (it is more steep and slippery), there is more to discover! The one way drive on the Jenny Lake loop is also very beautiful (and not more of the same).

The lake offers amazing views, especially of the Tetons.
It is considered a moderately challenging route, we took about 4 hours to complete.

One if the most beautiful places I’ve ever visited in the U.S. We spent the day hiking around the lake enjoying all the beauty. Make sure arrive early in the morning. We arrived just before 8:00am, and we were just barely able to get a parking space.

Best lake in Teton. Water is so clear, view is awesome. Take the shuttle boat to the other side of lake, hike to hidden fall (easy .5 miles hike) and inspiration point (moderate .5 miles from hidden fall). We went there twice on 2 consecutive days and love it. My little girl wants to go there everyday.

Drive in was beautiful! Hiked to the water fall and back. It took my kids and me 4 hours to hike there and back. We were planning on riding the boat across the lake that day but it was CLOSED. So make sure to check that before you go.

We chose to get the boat to go across for the hike to see the waterfall. Listen when they tell you it'll rain. Got over started pouring, has to wait to get a ride back. Very pretty. Seeinf the foxes was neat. The boat ride was fun, and when it wasn't raining it was beautiful on the other side of the lake. Pretty easy hike up to the falls. Well defined trail. You can walk around too it instead of renting the boat ride. Pretty views, friendly staff.

We visited recently. We took the boat across the lake and hiked up to Inspiration Point. It's an easy to moderate hike. Great views. However, this was the most crowded thing we did on our vacation to the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone. We had to park alongside the highway and walk a good bit to the lake.

It’s a very beautiful and popular location in the Grand Teton National Park that visitors frequently visited!
There is a visitor center and gift shop that you can get some souvenir and supplies or cup of coffee!
The lake itself is pretty nice. There are also a boat ride offered with gasoline outboard engines which I think if they can change to the electric motors would be better. Because the sound of the gas engine truly disrupt the tranquility of this beautiful scenery!

This is a beautiful lake, water is very calm. I saw lots of animals close up when walking the trails. First time seeing moose walking pass right in front of me. I also saw a red fox when I am leaving the park. Would recommend people visit the place.

Stunning lake, ideal
For a nice hike, we went rethought the loop trail up to Hidden Falls and then took the boat back. It’s about an hour walk, beautiful surroundings, it’s not to hard to walk and very much worth it! We didn’t have time to swim but the water looked amazing, it is one of the clearest lakes I’ve ever seen. I recommend

I'll never travel to Grand Teton National Park without this trip planner again
Jenny Lake Trail is a 7.1-mile moderate hiking trail that encircles a picturesque lake, offering stunning views of water, forests, and mountains. The area also boasts several other hiking trails of varying difficulty levels, leading to breathtaking mountain vistas and more. Visitors can explore the Forks of Cascade Canyon, admire Hidden Falls, or venture into glacier territory at Hurricane Pass.
Great views of Jenny Lake. If you're taking this trail to get to Hidden Falls and Inspiration Point in winter, I highly recommend going counterclockwise. Trail gets very slushy when the ice melts. Bring good shoes that will not let the water seep or plan on going slightly earlier in the day when you can walk on snow.
Rasikanand Harvind — Google review
Loved the views, but in case this matters to anyone else: the trail had rocks sticking up/out from the dirt, so I spent most (at least the first half) of the hike looking down at where I was walking. This was in the late summer, so no snow cover. I was definitely out of shape, so towards the waterfall where the incline increased, I was out of breath and had to stop for a minute every so often :) The falls were gorgeous! But I'd probably rather take the ferry ride over next time, even if I'm in better physical fitness. the little "village" at the start (Jenny lake visitors center) was great. Also, at the end of our hike, we took off our shoes and waded in the water, it felt great!

The imposing peak of Grand Teton is a popular mountaineering destination in Wyoming that is surrounded by stunning hiking trails. With its sheer size, impressive height and scenic views, it has long been a favorite of experienced climbers. At 13,775 feet tall, it is the second-highest mountain in the state and can be seen for miles around.
What a magnificent view and serenity of this remarkable place!
I visited Grand Teton National Park for the first time on September/5/2021.
Grand Teton National Park is a popular destination for all ages and other forms of recreation. It offers something for everyone, from canoeing, cycling, hiking, rock climbing, horse back riding, floating in the river, and taking the best pictures as well.
There are a lot of trails to explore, and they are arranged from easy, moderate, to hard.
I didn’t have enough time to do a lot of them, so most of my hikes were focused on the super easy.
The Grand Teton & Teton Range are one of the most beautiful white mountain formations & places that I have been to.
I went for the morning hike by Jenny Lake and it was absolutely captivated by the reflection of Teton Range over the water.
Watching the sunset on the top Teton was unforgettable moments,
and gorgeous views of Jackson Lake, surrounding a range of soaring mountains, and lush green trees. Truly nature at its best.
Just about a postcard or calendar viewpoint everywhere I looked. It's almost impossible not to take beautiful photos, but pictures do not come close to doing justice for this paradise as it is so truly magnificent!!!
This is definitely a must see as it will completely take your breath away.

We stayed in Colter bay before heading up to Yellowstone. Absolutely beautiful mountain range with Iconic peaks. We hiked and caught a ferry across the lake to see the falls. Don't miss out on that it's worth it! Then we headed down to mormon row. We skipped into Jackson to catch a concert and eat. The facilities were great and the convenient accessibility to the park was greatly appreciated.

Hey if you're in the area with a trad rack and a rope, would HIGHLY recommend climbing this classic beauty! Exum ridge, the most common route, is seriously classic although can get slightly tricky with routefinding. Absolute must if you are in Jackson, Wyoming!
Would recommend hiring a 4 wheel drive car as there’s about 1.5 miles of off roading/pot holes to drive through.
Park entry is $35 or $80 for a yearly membership card to all national parks.
Jenny lake is recommended (pics below) it’s was an incredible view! The pictures don’t do it justice.
Also if you want to see bears ask the park ranger at the entrance and they let you know the spots to go!

The mountain and the lake are so peaceful here. Even every day they are all stand in the same place. But every time I watch at them still feel so different. The view of points, from the north, south, western and eastern, let them varied per day. The clouds, sun, sky, animals, weather make them outstanding per day. The cold, hot, warm, chill make them feel so different per day. The sorrow, joy, afraid and anger make them special per day.
Even I want to go home some times, the view makes me stay. Respect the nature and every person I met here. Really enjoy my seasonal employee days here.
Grand Teton National Park is a world-renowned natural wonder, with plenty of hiking trails and opportunities for swimming and rafting in its dramatic valleys and mountains. With unparalleled views of the Tetons, it's one of the must-see attractions in Jackson Hole.
One of the best national parks! Mountains, lakes, streams, waterfalls, moose, elk, bears, hiking, canoeing, kayaking, camping, and so much more. Hiking the canyons is especially amazing. My highlights were Cascade Canyon, Lake Solitude (ironically very busy), the Schoolroom Glacier, and canoeing Leigh/String Lakes.

Military/Veterans make sure to get your free pass to all national parks so you can your family can save the $35 to enter. A great park overshadowed by its more popular brother north of it. Definitely more of a hiking park than a sightseeing one. Most of the picturesque views require at least some hiking instead of just parking and a brisk walk like other parks.

What an incredible park! The mountain range is absolutely stunning! Sunrise should be spent at Schwabacher Trail and Jenny Lake is a must visit. Check in on the boat shuttle at Jenny Lake before planning some trails around the area. There's plenty of moose at Moose Junction and you'll catch a bear or two at sundown! Take a nice drive or bike ride down the scenic road near Jenny Lake.

Last year my wife and I went to the Teton mountains, we had planned this trip in 2022 and it just so happened to be my 50th. anniversary of visiting the park for the first time as a teenager. The Tetons are my most favorite mountain range ever since that 1973 family vacation and I named my first dog a Wolf/Husky hybrid after those mountains. It was a 14 day trip as we took our time going out there and spending a week in the park. We also did the Lake Solitude hike as well. Wyoming is one of my favorite states, I guess there's a bit of Cowboy in me. We'll eventually go out west again and maybe go through the park just to get another fix of the splendid grandeur.

Whether you're hiking through pristine forests, picnicking by a tranquil lake, or simply taking in the breathtaking vistas from a scenic overlook, every moment spent here is a testament to the unparalleled beauty of nature.

Grand Teton National Park is a winter wonderland not to be missed. Snow-capped peaks, frozen lakes, We only did Jenny lake and Taggert lake. I loved the serene forests that create a magical scene. Enjoy activities like snowshoeing and cross-country skiing, my friend and I hiked 15 miles total, dress cozy. The night sky is also mesmerizing, we didn’t see any wildlife and it wasn’t as crowded, but I can’t wait to see the park at a different time a year.

One of the most majestic places on this planet and also one of the most underrated national parks in the US simply because it's next to Yellowstone. A few tips for visitors:
1) Summer is a good time to visit but it's very crowded. Late fall to early winter is the best time because you have less crowds but roads are still open and you see lots of undisturbed wildlife.
2) Lodging gets expensive in spring and summer so book ahead. Jackson Hole is expensive so you can try the nearby small towns.
The scenic viewpoint of Inspiration Point can be reached by a 2.2-mile uphill hike or boat ride across Jenny Lake. Visitors can follow the nearby trails to Hidden Falls and Lake Solitude, which provides an alternate view of the Cascade Canyon area. The busy site also offers a panoramic view of Grand Canyon Yellowstone with some steps leading down to it. The lookout was renovated in 2018 after being affected by the canyon's erosion over time.
Inspiration Point was probably our favorite stop in Grand Teton National Park. Access Inspiration Point by taking a boat across Jenny Lake (there's no charge for this boat ride.) Once across the lake, there is a trail easily marked leading you to Inspiration Point. Believe me, you have to be in good shape too make this leg of the trip, but it is well worth it. The trail app on my phone told me that we gained nearly 400 ft in the elevation during the short hike. Don't let this discourage you .. my wife and I are 69 years old and we did it with very little effort. Once at the top you will see panoramic views of Jenny Lake and the surrounding area. Absolutely stunning, and I would recommend this to anyone who feels they're able.

Inspiration point hike combined with the Hidden falls hike is a must do thing inside the Grand Tetons national park. For the trailhead you need to travel by car to the Jenny lake visitor center inside the park. This lake is so calm and has a pristine blue color especially early in the morning thats instantly relaxing. From here there are two options. You can take a boat shuttle to the other end of the lake and start the hike or else take a trail around the lake ( which adds an additional 3 miles to your total hike) to reach the same point at the other end of the lake. We reached before the first boat service started for the day and so we chose to take the trail to reach the diametrically opposite side of the lake from the visitor center. This portion of the trail is fairly flat and easy. Once you reach the other end of the lake, we went along the trail that took us to the Inspiration point where you can get beautiful panoramic views of the Tetons ranges behind you as well as the Jenny lake in front. There are nice spots to sit and relax here as well. We continued further where the trail takes you deep into the Teton ranges. This was really gorgeous and I really enjoyed it. The trail to the Inspiration point is moderately difficult especially because it gets narrow in certain sections and also because it has steps quick forces you to lift your legs for each stride. Also there are switchbacks which combined with the steps can easily make one tired. However there can be mild breezes that blow your way which is very refreshing. On the way back we went to the hidden falls which was beautiful and the water was the right temperature ( not too cold not too hot). After the hike, we took the ferry back ( there is option to just take one way ticket for the ferry) to the visitor center. Once you get out of the Jenny lake visitor center, it joins a scenic drive loop road around the park where you can get majestic views of the Grand Tetons ranges. The two places we stopped to get the best photographs were the mountain lookout and the cascade look out. Be careful inside the parks and also on the hikes since this is bear nation and you are most likely to find them especially if you are hiking early in the morning.

An wonderful, magical place to visit. Lives up to the name of inspiration point. We just went to the lake lookout because it was heavily raining that day. The fog just made it even more beautiful to the eyes. Wonderful place to take pictures and have fun. Plenty of green was there as well.
Mesmerizing view of the lake, cloud and mountain were making a perfect ingredient for the ‘INSPARATION POINT’. This place is little off the regular hiking trail however should eb a must visit if you are the nature lover.
There might be wild life there as well, however as it was raining, so we were not that lucky.
The lake shore is around 100 feet away from parking spot, no hike or trail required. The roads towards the inspiration point is narrow and one lane, please be careful of driving just like any other point.
If you are on wheelchair , it is accessible however lots of loose gravels , be careful. It could be a good picnic spot if you have your lunch packed and enjoy the lake front.
Interestingly this place is just back of the lodge where you can probably access through the lodge , having a rest room as well and a restaurant.

The view here is spectacular! Well worth the boat ride and short hike. Get there as early as you can to beat the crowd.

We took the boat ride over, hiked to hidden falls then up the inspiration points then to cascade canyon. The hike is beautiful and I would rate it easy-moderate, not much shade so wear a hat and lots of sunscreen! We came mid day and it wasn’t too crowded.

I would not qualify this as a challenging hike as others have posted, but your personal fitness will affect your ability to do this hike. It is rocky and requires stable footwear with a cushioned footed. The crowds are insane. Just hike it already as the ferry line gets backed up quick and by the time you rode across, you could have been there and nearly back again. We hiked the entire Lake Trail before coming up here and continuing on to Cascade Canyon. This was a scenic view. Good, and worth the effort if you're here. The views in Cascade Canyon are even better though, so push on if you are able.

One of the easiest and shortest trails in Grand Teton for a great payoff. It's just a short mile hike from the boat dock on Jenny Lake to get up to the point. It is very well groomed bit the last quarter mile does get a bit tougher and does step up in elevation. Whether you hike around Jenny Lake or take the boat across it is definitely worth it.

Stunning views. You’ll think you’ve gone to the top - you haven’t. Once you go to the rock staircase you’ll see a sign for inspiration point. It’s definitely worth it. We saw a mama moose and her baby!

This is a moderate hike, a lot of up hill and at some point a smaller set of staircase towards the end that is fairly close to the cliff. So if you are afraid of heights this may not be for you.
There are about 2x you may think you reached the top that still has nice views of the lake.
It is so satisfying to reach the top so go for it!

Laid-back, all-inclusive fishing resort set on a river offering fly-fishing trips & a fly shop.
We enjoyed a fabulous meal at one of Teton Valley Lodges private events. The staff was extremely friendly and the chef treated us to a phenomenal 3 course dinner. If you get the chance to participate in one of these events I would highly recommend it!

I had the fishing trip of my life last week. My guide, Harrison, was very helpful and new exactly where to find the fish. I caught seven brown trout between 17-20 inches, plus a lot of smaller fish. I can hardly express my excitement.

Great stay with modern room design, large tv and fantastic and friendly host Brenda! Be it skiing at Grand Targhee, hiking around the Tetons or fly-fishing Teton Creek, this is a great place to stay!

Our family had the best time here. The fishing and guides were top notch, the hospitality was second to none, and the property was beautiful. We are definitely coming back!

The guys fly by my house every night and I would not recommend anyone do busines with these people. They don’t care if you got kids playing in the yard. They drive so fast by our place every night.

We booked a full day guided trip for our honeymoon, and it was amazing! Our guide, David, was such a hard worker and one of the most personable guides I've ever worked with. He had us on fish all day when the weather was not ideal, and made sure my wife and I had a great time. We hope to be back!

Second year coming to TVL and had an amazing time once again. Every aspect of the experience is amazing. Great fishing, great food, great guides, and great accommodation.

Did a day trip on the South Fork of the Snake River. Our guide, Jacob, rowed his face off through high wind and hard, hard rain to get us into fish.
And, boy oh boy, did he ever get us into fish! He rowed us into sneaky spots other guides blasted right by or just barely covered at all. And then he would row us back upstream to hit he same holes over and over until the fish stopped hitting. Some on streamers. Some on dry dropper.
We did this all day boating about 40 fish. I lost count, honestly. More than a few worthy of a photo.
I can't say you'll catch that many. But it won't be for lack of effort from your guide. If all the guides at Teton Valley Lodge work this hard, you are in damn good hands.

Outstanding in every respect. Great accommodations, gourmet dining, the best guides we've ever fished with and a staff that anticipates your needs. Seems spendy but really a good value for the total high level experience. We're average fly fishers and we landed more fish than with any guide service on the Henry's Fork or Madison. Most of the guests we visited with have been coming back here for many years. Our first stay here and we understand why.
That is the Tetons in the background, the views are breathtaking.

The owners of the lodge and guide company are amazing people. Everyone from the owners to the staff are positive, hard working, and just overall make sure that you have a wonderful experience. I did not stay at the lodge but we used the guided fishing outfit for a group of 20. The food we had at the lodge was very good. What a great a great trip! Highly recommend A+++
Thank you, Marcus

Wonderful staff. Amazing food, great views, knowledgeable and friendly guides. You don't need to know how to fly fish. You will catch many beautiful trout of varying types as well as other fun native species. My wife had never fly fished in her life and really enjoyed herself over three nights and two days at the lodge. The cabins are large and comfortable. Water pressure was great haha. There are cute puppies running around. The staff takes care to get to know you. Our first guide helped me improve my dry fly presentation and I was amazed as trout rose to sip my fly on top water. I won't spoil the other wonderful surprises in store. Our second guide taught us casting techniques for a heavier rig on a larger river to target the fatties. My wife out fished me again catching native cutthroats, cutbows, rainbows and browns. We saw moose and baldies and enjoyed over-stuffed lunch boxes on the river at scenic locations. The guides went above and beyond to make the experience the best ever. I would 100% recommend this place to new and experienced anglers.
