They are not allowing outside food in resort but irony is available food in food court was now up to the mark in taste and quality but prices of food is high. Even they don't have much items in food court.
If we consider it as water park it's awesome.

Don't waste your money. Water is very dirty.Poor pathetic food. They are charging 200 for kids dish also. Roti was elastic. Not chewable at all. Spoiling my holiday. If there are negative marks I would go for it. Never come again for sure and will tell my friends and relatives not to come.

Awesome place to enjoy with your family! Entering fee is 450. They have lunch break between 1 to 2 pm. At that hour no functioning of park. There is good food also. Delicious meals. Friendly staff. You can't bring your foods from outside

The quality of water is bad. Skin itching problem and also the water wasn't clean and clear. The change area was very bad especially for ladies.
The food court was also dirty and food spelt everywhere.
Wave pool floor was very very slippery.
Requesting people also please please do not spit in pool and also management should take actions for the ladies in periods entering the pool, it's very very unhygienic pls try understand this.

Wonderful place to visit with family and friends for fun and chilling. Huge swimming area with exciting rides. Special area for kids to swim and play in rides. The wave pool is the most exciting experience which is expected twice a day. The water is very clean and the pool is properly cleaned up. Rides are well-maintained and hygienic. All the population on the premises of the park are under the supervision of the lifeguards. The food court is available with delicious food items including Gujarati thali ( roti, sabzi, dal, rice, salad, papad, farsan and buttermilk)& fast food. Nice background music with party songs.Nylon clothes are compulsory to wear while swimming and for enjoying the rides. A swimming costume is also available for rent. A locker facility is available. Changing rooms and toilets are quite hygienic and separate for both males and females. This park is located on the Rajkot - Jamnagar highway near Jambuda village.

Worst experience ever. We visited the resort 7 days before to get the terms conditions and every information and the staff said yes we are open likewise. Then before going to the resort 2 days before we called and asked if it was open as it was a national holiday on the day we were going to visit and what is information and all that. Even at that time they said yes we are good to go. Then on the day we visited they clearly said no bachelors are allowed and only a couple and family entry is there. Before they said all entries were there. Then they said it's only for these two days and asked us to visit after 2 days. These happened not only with me. But likewise all people came from far away places and we were a total of around 40-50 people. The staff didn't listen to us and there was one aged uncle whose hand action was like we were some Lofaares hanging around. Strongly recommend not to believe the staff on call or personal meet. They are a total fake. Go at your own risk. Another guy had the call recording who was a visitor still the staff dint listen and when we asked to call the manager they didn't respond to anything and were neglecting us like we are some aliens. Bad bad bad.... Extremely disappointed.

It was great experience there. All the rides are great. No problem in any rides. And few rides are dangerous but thrilling. Great. This is the best theme park in Gujarat. It is situated near Rajkot. Here if you go in group then price is ₹800 for adult and ₹600 for children. But if you are individual then it would cost around ₹1000 per person. And this price is including lunch and all rides unlimited times free. It was a great fun. It would take full day there.

The Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium is an exceptional venue for cricket enthusiasts, providing a riveting experience that one would relish. With a capacity to accommodate large crowds, this stadium offers free entrance to SPL matches at the Khandheri Stadium in Saurashtra. The views from different stands are unique and captivating, while parking facilities are convenient. Moreover, dinner served with tickets adds value to the overall experience.

Amazing stadium to enjoy cricket games. It’s not too big or too small so you can blindly take any seat and will still be able to enjoy the game. Cleanliness was below par and has margin for improvement. Food and drinks are available along with vendors selling ice cream and chips inside stadium too. I would recommend this stadium and will definitely come back for future matches.

Nice stadium. The atmosphere was very good. Crowd was less and hence you could sit wherever you found empty seat. Seats were comfortable but very dusty. They should clean them before match. Food was ok but very expensive and rates at ground floor were cheaper than second and third level which was very surprising. They had free water fountain but that did not seem hygienic. They must setup RO water dispenser. You could purchase a glass of water for ₹10. They did not allow you to buy a full bottle so you had to walk down each time you felt thirsty! Tickets clearly mentioned outside food and water and bags not allowed but I could see so many who brought their own water and food and had bags which was again surprising.

Facilities: The stadium offers excellent facilities including comfortable seating, clean restrooms, and ample parking space. However, more shaded areas or covered stands would be appreciated, especially during hot weather or rain.
Viewing Experience: The layout of the stadium provides good sightlines from most seats, ensuring an enjoyable viewing experience for spectators. However, improvements could be made to the giant screens for better visibility of replays and match statistics.
Atmosphere: The atmosphere in the stadium during matches is electric, with passionate fans creating an exciting ambiance. More efforts could be made to enhance crowd engagement through interactive activities and fan zones.

Stadium needs a full spring clean, seats in the South stand are filthy.
Food & beverage offering is extremely limited... no tea or coffee vendors !!
Had a walk around the outside of the stadium yesterday lunchtime (to look for food & beverage... nothing) ... but today we weren't allowed outside, tried several exits ..... all security staff saying they were told off for letting people outside yesterday.
Crazy .... there's only @ 2000 paying customers here, the rest are school children.
Really disappointed, the views are great... just everything else is a proper letdown.

The White Desert of Kutch is a popular tourist destination in India, known for its vast expanse of white salt desert that becomes visible after monsoon season. The area is particularly popular during sunrise and sunset. Despite its remote location, the desert attracts thousands of domestic tourists every day during peak season. Despite the crowds, the magnanimous size of the desert makes it a soothing and beautiful experience. The cool weather in November only adds to its allure.
Great place to enjoy loneliness and breathtaking view of white desert. During off-season, place can be seen severely degraded, and polluted. Best time to visit November -February. From the checkpost, you have to walk 4km to reach the desert. If you don't have vehicle, this can be a little tiring. Also, make sure that the Google map directions are correct since there are multiple location details available. Buses to this area are infrequent. Might have to take tankers / carriage vehicle to reach at the destination of you are travelling alone. Bhuj railway station is a very nice place with all facilities.

The well-known and famous white desert of Kutch. The white color is due to the dried salt there. All you will see is the white desert till the horizon. It was a very new and wonderful experience. When we went there was a lot of mud along with salt due to humidity and water in soil. Because of this, even walking there was very difficult. If you go after the soil is completely dry, you may have a different experience. There was a lot of new development for tourist is going on. parking and other facilities were also good. You can enjoy Other fun and sports activity in desert.

It is a beautiful place to visit. Famous for sun set and full moon days sceneries. We enjoyed both of them but sun set we could not enjoy fully as the clouds came at the end. Watch post is there at this place and our security is also present there . Before we reach this place we have to take permission , by filling up the form along with our identity card and 100 rs for elders. If we want to walk till the end that will be so nice. At the beginning we have all camels and para gliding facilities. At the end we can walk inside the white desert Al round . Sun set and moon rise we can enjoy at this place .

It was a one of the best experience in my life when we visited to White desert.White Rann is around 80 kms from Bhuj. A pure white charming beauty. You will feel you are in snow desert & would never like to go back. The excitement of being close to the border also adds to the magic. But the tent city is over-rated and expensive-the same can be seen by a tourist based in another spot example Bhuj.

What I really liked about the pace was that there was less of commercial activity. Although it’s a border area not much of restriction as in where one could go. You are free to walk on the white desert till wherever u can.

Traveling in October, the white desert was a mini lake! However, we were able to see the beginnings of the white salt forming on the desert floor... Definitely visit in February, once most of the water has receded. You will be stopped at a border/Security area since the White Desert borders Pakistan.

Best time to go in evening when you can enjoy sunset also.

After a 15minutes of struggle with internet in that area, finally we have booked tickets online and border army has given permission to visit white desert.
So we reached little bit late in evening but we enjoyed lot and wonderful view of Sun set seen.
If you can go early or in morning you can enjoy cart safari in white desert.

You should at-least go there once in a lifetime. I have never seen anything like this before. The place gets very crowded in it’s peak season which is from Dec till February. Go there very early in the morning to experience mesmerising sunrise.

One of the most beautiful place I've ever seen. This place is the beautiful views of the salt pen and you can not make a difference between the land and the sky at a point to get your own photograph. Whenever you can visit Kutch or just visit Kutch for this place, you should see this to visit. When Kutch is more and many places to see. But this is really something different.
Hitesh Patel — Google review
As per my opinion it's a nice place if it's less crowded nearby areas have been made too dirty because of human intervention. Over all it's a good initiative by the government to earn from a desert.
Toilet is available at the point where u park your vehicle. To come to this point u have to use animals ride.

Nice place to visit in winter and spend evening to see sunset. But the hype about fullmoon night did not meet the expectation as we were in rann till 8 PM and did not see white desert shining in moon light.
May be people who stay in Tent city might be able to get some good view in midnight when moon is over the head .
We stayed in Bhuj and went to visit the white desert. One should reach by 5PM .

The White Desert of Kutch is an awe-inspiring natural wonder that left me mesmerized with its ethereal beauty. The vast expanse of pristine white salt under the clear blue sky creates a surreal landscape that is both breathtaking and unforgettable.
Walking through the desert during the day, I was surrounded by the shimmering white salt crystals, creating a unique and almost otherworldly experience. The immense flatness of the terrain provides an uninterrupted view, allowing you to appreciate the sheer magnitude of this natural marvel.
As the sun begins to set, the White Desert transforms into a canvas of warm hues, with the changing colors casting a magical glow across the salt. The play of light and shadows in the evening adds an extra layer of enchantment to this already stunning landscape.
Visiting the White Desert is not just a visual delight; it's a spiritual journey into nature's grandeur. The untouched beauty of this vast salt desert is a testament to the incredible diversity of our planet. Truly, a must-visit destination for anyone seeking a unique and captivating experience in the heart of nature's artistry.

Beautiful white dessert, must visit once. Recommended to visit early morning or in the evening. The sunset is very beautiful. Can walk around in a white salt. Take a camel ride to reach the white dessert.
Sachin Deshmukh — Google review
Awe-inspiring! The White Rann, a mint-blowing spectacle, captivates with its ethereal white expanse during sunrise and sunset. A word of caution: Guard your attire against the salt, as it tends to linger. The only downside is the journey, especially the stretch from Bhuj to the White Desert—80 km of mostly straight road with occasional rough patches. Despite the road challenges, the destination's beauty is well worth the adventure.

As one enters Morbi swaying pylons of the suspension bridge and the beatific riverfront is a nostalgic reminder of Victorian London. Located 64 km from Rajkot is the town of Morbi with its quaint cobbled alleyways and buildings reminiscent of 19th century Europe. Morbi’s former ruler Sir Waghji inspired by Colonial influences designed a technologically planned and versatile city. The visitor is welcomed into the city through a grand suspension bridge, an artistic and technological marvel of that period. European influence in town planning further contributed to a central square known as the Green Chowk, approachable by three gates each designed in its own inimitable style incorporating both Rajput and Italian elements.

History – Previously called by the name Prahaladpur, Palanpur has a history that dates back to the thirteenth century of the Vikrama Era. This place was ruled by king Prahalad and hence was called by the name Prahladpur. Also the temple here was built by king Prahalad and hence the idol of Bhagawan Parshwanatha became famous as Prahaladan Parshwanatha. Now it is called as the temple of Pallaviya Parshvanath. King Prahalad melted the metal idol of Delvada in Abu and made an idol of Nandi (bull). As a punishment for showing disrespect to the Delwada Jain Idol, he was affected by leprosy. In agony, he at last went to a forest. There he meet Acharyashi Shalibhadrasurisvarji. he repented for what he had done and then according to the instructions and with blessings of the Acharya, he constructed the temple of Bhagawan Parshwanatha. He poured on his body the water with which the idol was washed and cured his disease of leprosy. King Prahalad then become a follower of the Jain religion He was a scholar and wrote many books. His dramatic work entitled ” Parshwa Parakram Vyasang” is famous even today. The present idol was formally installed under the auspices of Kakkasurisvarji on the fifth day of the bright half of the month of Falguna in the year 1274 of the Vikram era. Along with this temple we can find fourteen more temples at this place. This is the birth place of Shri Somsunder Surishwar (Vikram era 430) and of Acharya Shri Hirvijay Suriseswarji (Vikram era 1583).
How to Reach – The Palanpur station is on the railway and the main highway from Ahmedabad to Abu Road. The railway station and the bus station are at a distance of one kilometer from the temple. Buses and taxis are available for travel to the temple. There are Dharmashala and bhojanashalas in the town.

Visited Aug 2022.
On my recent trip to Palanpur I visited both the 'motu' and 'nanu' Jain derasars. Both were very nice, have the calm serene vibe typical of Jain mandirs. But somehow I preferred the 'nanu' derasar. It has a certain charm that this, the larger one, will never have.
See attached pics. Diff to photograph the exterior due to lack of space.

One of the sacred place. The Mulnayak Bhagwan Shri Pallaviya Parshavanath is counted in the 108 Prachin Parshvanath. The newly built temple is magnificent. The carvings on the exterior and interior walls and ceilings of the wall is extremely good. There is facility for dharmashala and Bhojanshala near the temple. Come to this divine place and get the blessings of Lord Pallaviya Parswanath.

The Kumbhariya Jain Mandir in Ambaji comprises two temples, one of which dates back to the 12th-13th century. The complex has undergone several renovations and additions over time, but further modernization is not advised as it may disturb the antiquity of these remarkable temples. Visitors can find clean rooms and dining facilities on-site, and are recommended to spend a full day exploring the art and architecture of the temple complex.

"JAINO KA ATULNIYA ITIHAS"
Kumbharia jain temples Gujarat are a fascinating group of amazing temple structures at Ambaji town which dates back to the 11th and 13th century, respectively. The Kumbhariya group of Jain temples are dedicated to the five theerthankkaras of the Jain religion namely Mahavira, Parshvanath, Neminath Shantinath and Sambhavanath.
According to the legend, Mata Ambika had directed Sheth Vimal Shah, the 11th century minister of the Solankis, to construct 360 Jain temples there. The temples were constructed without Ambe Mata's idols installed. On noticing this, the goddess got furious and destroyed almost all the temples except five of them.
The minister realized his mistake and included the idols of Ambe Mata in the remaining temples. The main shrine constructed in the center of a rectangular courtyard is the highlight of the temple. The beautiful shiksaras, balconies with porches and the excellent craftsmanship and artistic of the temple structure and style bears a striking resemblance to the famous Dilwara temples of mount Abu in Rajasthan.
Kindly do share with all your JAIN groups & friends & even let them know how vast and old our JAIN religion is which was spread all over the world. History is never ending, Its endless

The temple is beautiful but the management was worst. They didn’t care of anyone. Very rude staff. So many people were waiting outside for darshan and some stupid people broke the queue by lying that we have health issues and we were sent by the staff and so.. And the management didn’t even cared about that. They weren’t listening to anybody. Its a holly place and loads of people stand there for hours to just have a glimpse of goddess and some people break the rules and there is no one to care about. Definitely not visiting again even if its a holly place. The management should work properly first only then we should pay them the ticket fees for the ropeway

Hello friends,
I hope all of you are doing well. 👍
Recently, we had an unplanned visit to the Sundha Mata Temple. 🙄 Originally, our plan was to attend the Siddhpur Kartik Mela on the Saraswati River. However, at 1 AM, we made a spontaneous decision to visit the Sundha Mata Mandir the next day.
To ensure a comfortable stay, we booked a room at the Lajwanti Hotel in Palanpur. Although it is an old establishment, it proved to be a good choice.
The next morning, at 9 AM, we embarked on our journey, making a stop at the Dantivada Dem along the way. This place also turned out to be quite remarkable. By approximately 2 PM, we finally arrived at Sundha. We indulged in a delicious Gujarati Thali for lunch. 🥪
Filled with excitement, we began our ascent to the Sundha Mata Temple and were overwhelmed with a sense of peace and tranquility upon reaching our destination. It truly is a serene Hindu devotional site. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Thank you for reading. 😊

So I visited this hotel on one fine weekend with my office colleagues. We were around 25 people and we pre booked the hotel. We reached there on Saturday morning and all of us had the same first reaction. The hotel was horrible, the rooms were extremely small, it was a deluxe family room for 3 people but it could hardly fit 2 people comfortably. The washroom didn’t had a proper flush, the taps were broken, washrooms were smelling really bad. We had 4-5 female colleagues and they were so uncomfortable just because of the pathetic washroom. In some rooms the flush wasn’t working and in some the AC wasn’t working. When we raised a complaint they provided such pathetic solutions to our complaints.
The blankets were smelling like hell, in couple of rooms a bad odour was coming from the air conditioner.
The trip which was supposed to be refreshing and enjoying turned out to be the worst trip of our life just because of this third class hotel and their staff.
Just stay miles away from this property even if they offer you the room for free.

My stay at Hotel Sunset Inn was an absolute nightmare. Where do I even begin? Let's start with the bathroom, which had water leaking from every imaginable crack. It felt like showering in a monsoon! The bathroom accessories were straight out of a horror movie - broken tiles, rusty taps, and a toilet that looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months.
As for hygiene, it was non-existent. The blankets and bedsheets were so filthy, I wouldn't let my worst enemy touch them. I'm pretty sure I saw more stains than actual fabric. And don't even get me started on the mysterious odors lurking in every corner of the room. It was like a cesspool of germs and neglect. Hotel doesn't even deserve 1 start rating.
Overall, my experience at Hotel Sunset Inn was beyond disappointing. Save yourself the trouble and steer clear of this hygiene nightmare disguised as a hotel. Trust me, you'll thank me later.

The lake is in length of about a half mile and in width about of a quarter of mile and 20 to 30 ft. deep towards the dam on the west. It is an important tourist attraction of Mount Abu. There is the Toad Rock on a hill near the lake. Toad rock is so called as it looks like a toad about to jump into the lake, from the side of the rock facing the lake. There are two ways to go up and down the rock; to climb the rocky hill side or to use the steps leading down to Nakki Lake. By the side of the lake there is a path leading to Sunset Point. It is forbidden to climb to Sunset Point due to wild animals such as bears and leopards roaming around the path to Sunset Point. Raghunath Temple and Maharaja Jaipur Palace are also on hills near the Lake. Boating in the lake and horse rides around the lake are available.

1.The beautiful and attractive lake located in the center of Mount Abu Hill Station is surrounded by lush greenery, mountains and strangely shaped rocks.
2.There are many old stories associated with this lake. According to them, this lake was created by the gods using nakhas or nails. That is why it is famous by the name of Nakki Lake.
3.On 12 February 1948, the ashes of Mahatma Gandhi were immersed and Gandhi Ghat was constructed nearby.
4.Best time to visit Nakki Lake Mount Abu – You can visit Nakki Lake throughout the year. But the best time to see it is during monsoon and winter season. The temperature here is 30 degrees Celsius in monsoon and 12 degrees in winter. The lush greenery here makes the beauty of the lake more beautiful during monsoon. Summers are hot in Mount Abu. Because of that, it would be better if you avoid visiting between March-June and you should visit the lake from July to January.

Beautiful place of mt. Abu! The lake is surrounded by mountains. Boating and strolling around the lake is the most enjoyable experience. You can have the best sunset time here on the bank of the lake. Market, honeymoon point, toad rock, vivekanand cave are among the place to visit near Nakki lake. Also, you can find rental bikes, taxi and horses also to roam around this beautiful hill station.

Mount Abu is one of the few places in Rajasthan which is absolutely neat and clean and gorgeous despite being a crowded place. Its circumference is around 3 km, so take some time in hand and give it a complete visit. Do not miss the sunset point too, but be cautious: it has a good height and the path is not smooth always. Not difficult for most people though.

I recently visited here and what to say. I can't express my feelings in words. It was literally the best travel of my life, I felt peace and serenity. Everything was so pure, the food was so light that I had eaten more than my capacity, easy to digest and tasty food. Absolutely loved the experience. I am following Brahmakumaris from past few years, but got lucky to visit the headquarters for the first time. Everyone should visit here for once in their lifetime.
At the end, I would say that 'Spirituality is the key to success'

BrahmaKumari's headquarter is in Mount abu, so they have many establishments across this hill station, among these this gigantic prayer hall is the most famous. Mind you that entry timing is upto 4 pm only. Upon entering, you will be taken to their representatives for a moderate length lecture on the institute's main aim, work culture and principals. This institutions and their disciples dwell in the spirituality; their lecture may not hunt much but still their thinking can give you some interesting matter to think. A very unique place to visit in mount abu specially considering its calm and spiritual atmosphere. Photography inside the hall is not allowed.

Situated in Mount Abu, Rajasthan amidst the lush green Aravalli hills, these temples showcase Maru-Gurjara architectural style and embody the values of Jainism such as non-violence, honesty, non-absolutism, frugality and non-possessiveness.

The Dilwara Temples are a group of Śvētāmbara Jain temples about 3 kilometres from the Mount Abu in Sirohi District, Rajasthan. The earliest temples were built by Bhima-1 They are famous for very pure white marble and intricate marble carvings. Temples are managed by Seth Shri Kalyanji Anandji Pedhi, Sirohi. The main buildings of first three are surrounded by "cloister" screens of devakulikā shrines, and are fairly plain on the outer walls. The ornamental detail spreading over the minutely carved ceilings, doorways, pillars, and panels is remarkable. The five temples are:
1. Vimal Vasahi, dedicated to the 1st Jain Tirthankara, Shri Adinatha.
2. Luna Vasahi, dedicated to the 22nd Jain Tirthankara, Shri Shri Neminatha.
3. Pittalhar temple, dedicated to the 1st Jain Tirthankar, Shri Adinatha.
4. Parshvanath temple, dedicated to the 23rd Jain Tirthankara, Shri Parshvanatha.
5. Mahavir Swami temple, dedicated to the 24th Jain Tirthankara, Shri Mahavir Swami.

Dilwara Jain temples are one of the finest pieces of Architecture in the Indian History. The temples located just a km away from the city center are also a major tourist attraction in Mt. Abu. The Jain temples are famous for its carvings. There are close to 7 different temples within the complex and each of them seem to compete with each other on the architecture front. The top of the temples looks rustic and untidy, specially designed to prevent it from being looted and destroyed. The temples have a great piece of history and you surely need a few hours to enjoy it fully. It is open only to Jains in the morning and tourists can visit here post 11 pm once the daily rituals get over, open till 5 pm.

The architecture, the detailing on the walls, pillars, was like out of this world, it was so amazing, I couldn't believe it. So much minute , beautiful details, showing sheer hard work of the workers around 1000 years ago. I highly respect that. And that too, it's maintained in well form even today.
At first, before visiting this place, I thought of it as just another Jain temple, like we have in Ranakpur (that's also very good) but this one was mind blowing. I was in awe! ❤️

Dilwara Jain Temples is one of the finest Jain temple known world over for its extraordinary architecture and marvelous marble stone carvings, some experts also consider it architecturally superior to the Taj Mahal. It seems fairly basic temple from outside but every cloud has a silver lining, the temple interior showcases the extraordinary work of human craftsmanship at its best. These temples were built between 11th to 13th century AD, The beautiful lush green hills surrounding the temple gives a very pleasant feeling. The ornamental details of marble stone carvings is phenomenal and unmatched, The minutely carved ceilings and the pillars are just amazing. All this was done at a time when no transport or roads were available at a height of 1200+ Mtrs in Mount Abu, Huge blocks of marble stones were transported on elephant backs from the Arasoori Hills at Ambaji to this remote hilly region of Mount Abu. Dilwara temples is also a popular Jain pilgrimage attraction.
Dilwara Temple complex consist of five major sections or temples devoted to five jain trithankaras(saints):
Shri Mahaveer Swami Temple - This temple was constructed in 1582 and is devoted to Lord Mahaveer the 24th Tirthankara of Jain's, this temple is relatively small the temple's upper walls have pictures of the porch painted by craftsmen of sirohi in year 1764.
Shri AdiNath Temple or Vimal Vasahi Temple - This temple is build by Vimal Shah, Minister of Solanika ruler of Gujarat in 1031 A.D., this temple is the oldest of all and dedicated to Shri Adinath Ji - The first jain trithankar, the temple has an open courtyard surrounded by corridors all beautifully decorated with marble carved stones. Cells inside this temple are contain tiny images of Jain saints artistically carved on marble stone minutely. The internal dome is aesthetically decorated with design's of flowers and petals, the huge hall of the temple pillars decorated with the carving work of female figures playing musical instruments. The temple also have the "Guda Mandapa" - A simple hall decorated with the images of Shri Adi Nath.
Shri ParshavNath Temple or Khartar Vasahi Temple - This temple was built by Mandika clan between 1458-59 A.D., this temple has the tallest shrine along with four big Mandapa's amongst all dilwara temples. The carving on the pillars of this temple is yet another example of these jain temples architectural superiority.
Shri Rishabdaoji Temple or Peethalhar Temple - This temple is known as Pittalhari/Peethalhar temple because in this temple most of the statues are built using ‘Pittal’ (Brass Metal). This temple was built by Bhima Shah, a minister from Gujarat dynasty, like other temples of Dilwara this temple is also having Gudu Mandapa and Navchowki.
Shri NemiNathJi Temple or Luna Vasahi Temple - This temple was built in 1230 A.D. by two brothers known as Tejpal and Vastupal, they dedicated this temple to the 22nd saint of Jainism - Shri Nemi Nathji. This temple has one hall named Rag Mandapa which has three hundred and sixty (360) tiny idols of Jain trithankar all minutely crafted on marble proving once again why these jain marble temples of Dilwara are superior to Taj Mahal, Among all these white marble idols the idol of Shri Neminath Ji is made up of black marble. The pillars of this temple were built by Maharana Kumbha of Mewar.
The Dilwara Jain Temples are open from 12 P.M. to 5 P.M. for tourist's for free.

Santosh Kumar — Google review
The five Dilwara temples are among the most famous Jain temples. The Vimal Vasahi is much the earliest, constructed by 1031, with the Luna Vasahi by 1230, and the others at intervals between 1459 and 1582. All are in white marble which adds greatly to their effect and remains in use. The oldest and largest two have large amounts of intricate carving even by the standards of the style, reaching a peak in the Luna Vasahi temple. The main buildings of the first three named are surrounded by "cloister" screens of devakulikā shrines, and are fairly plain on the outer walls of these; in the case of the Vimal Vasahi this screen was a later addition, around the time of the second temple. These three have an axis from the sanctuary through a closed, then an open mandapa to an open rangamandapa, or larger hall for dance or drama.[6] Surrounding the main temple with a curtain of shrines was to become a distinctive feature of the Jain temples of West India, still employed in some modern temples.[7]
In later temples in the Māru-Gurjara style, a very pure white marble like that at Dilwara came to be regarded as highly desirable, even essential. In modern times, when the style has become popular in other regions of India, and with Hindu and Jain communities in other countries, local Rajastani marble is often carved and transported to the new building.
The temples have an opulent entranceway, the simplicity in architecture reflecting Jain values like honesty and frugality.[8] The ornamental detail spreading over the minutely carved ceilings, doorways, pillars, and panels is considered to be remarkable.[9] It is said that workmen were paid in gold according to the weight of marble powder scraped off.[10]

Once you reach at base there is an option of Gypsy car which can take 6-7 people at around 400 rs which will drop you there and come back to pick you up. You can take guide which will charge you 200 rs. If you want to explore then you can go by walk too as distance is not far from the base parking to fort.
On the way you may take blessings of Shivji Temple which has its own history 🙏🏻 and then Jain temple on the way & lastly on the fort you can see big water pond at base along with Meerabai temple, Chamunda devi temple 🛕, Kalinka mata temple 🛕 and Kumbha cave.
You can also see the scenic views of guru shikhar and hills around the area which are mismerizing.
Lastly- Keep the area and surrounding clean as it’s each one of us responsibility🙏🏻
Thanks!

Did not find any remainings of the fort at the top. However, you can go if you like trekking and want to take a view from the top. Yes, the view is good but not as good as Trever Tank and Guru Shikhar.

Title: A Scenic Adventure at Achalgarh Fort
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Review:
Achalgarh Fort, perched near Shri Achaleshwar Mahadev Temple, offers a unique and adventurous experience. To reach the fort, be prepared for a slightly challenging track, involving a short climb up a mountain with no defined steps.
While the ascent may require a bit of effort, the breathtaking view awaiting you at the top makes it absolutely worthwhile. The panoramic vistas from Achalgarh Fort are simply mesmerizing, providing ample opportunities for stunning photos that will surely enhance your social media feed.
The absence of conventional steps adds to the fort's rustic charm, making it an unconventional but memorable trek. If you enjoy a blend of history, nature, and a touch of adventure, Achalgarh Fort is a must-visit destination in Mount Abu. Embrace the journey, and you'll be rewarded with both scenic beauty and a sense of accomplishment.

Good view. But keep in mind that you have to go their via jeep or two wheeler who will charge you and then you have to climb around 200 stairs and 150m of hill to get that view but it’s worth if you want to walk that much.

There is not much to see here. There is no entry fees. At the top, there is a temple that you can visit. On the way, there is a Jain temple. You can go till the entrance of the fort either by walking or by a jeep. The jeep will cost you Rs. 300.

We visited the Achleshwar Mahadev temple. ( Historical place). It is reachable by vehicle and nearby the parking.
The market is small, but reasonable (must bargain to get the proper cost).
Other information:
We didn't visit the fort and other places
Tourists vehicles are not allowed to go to fort
Local guides provide the service to go near fort and information in 600 rupees for a group of six to seven persons

Best Fort near Mount Abu with sunset point!
To reach this temple, you can reach Achalgarh temple. From there, you can take steps upwards to reach Achalgarh Fort which gives views of Achalgarh Temple and Gurushikhar. There is a sunset point on the top from where you get amazing views and works perfectly for taking photos.

Beware, for the denizens of Achalgad Fort may advise thee to park beyond the market realm, a ploy that veils a potential ruse. Verily, one can convey their vehicle nigh unto the stairwell's entrance, thus sparing thee a trek of 40 minutes. Vigilance, then, is thy shield against such cunning stratagems.

We have to pay 400rs for a jeep. Jeep will travel in a very narrow road for about 200 meters. From there you have to walk for about 500meters. Once you reach top side you will see chamunda devi Murthy. Apart from that we have another temple.

Achalgarh Fort is at a height of 1.5 km from parking zone. One can hair jeep to reach the fort gate. From there you have to take 150 to 200 steps to visit the Achalgarh Jain Temple and Chamunda Mata Temple. At Jain temple there are 14 Idols made of pure gold. Worth visiting this place as the view is awesome. Also temple of Achalaswar Mahadev is there where thumb print of Mahadev is visible.

Best historical place to visit. U will be surprised to see architecture of Achalgarh Fort which is a blend of Rajput and Islamic styles. The fortification includes various structures such as temples, palaces, gates, and walls. The fort's walls and bastions exhibit typical Rajput military architecture, designed for defense against invaders.

Guru Shikhar, situated in the enchanting landscape of Mount Abu, holds a distinct place among the cherished tourist destinations in Rajasthan. Revered for its serene ambiance and breathtaking views, Guru Shikhar becomes a sought-after retreat, especially during the summer months when the scorching temperatures in Rajasthan prompt visitors to seek refuge in the cool hill station of Mount Abu.
Drawing tourists predominantly from Rajasthan and Gujarat, Guru Shikhar stands out as a prominent attraction, complementing the allure of other popular spots like Nakki Lake, Sunset Point, Prajapita Brahmakumaris Vishwavidyalaya, and the Delwara Jain Temple. For those yearning to escape the hustle and bustle of city life, Guru Shikhar emerges as an oasis of tranquility and natural beauty.
Located approximately 15 kilometers from the heart of Mount Abu, Guru Shikhar proudly claims the title of the highest peak in the Aravalli range, reaching an elevation of 1722 meters above sea level. The ascent to this pinnacle rewards visitors with panoramic views of the sprawling Aravalli Range and the charming hill station below. The sight is nothing short of spectacular, offering a refreshing perspective amid nature's grandeur.
Perched on Guru Shikhar's summit is the Mount Abu Observatory, boasting a 1.2-meter infrared telescope. The observatory strategically resides here due to favorable cloud conditions, ensuring optimal astronomical observations. Additionally, the cave temple of Guru Dattatreya, where Lord Vishnu is venerated, adds a touch of spirituality to the scenic beauty.

The highest peak of the Aravali ranges, gurushikhar is a prominent tourist attraction in Mount Abu, Rajastan. Located approx 15 km from the main town, the peak is easily accessible via car & bike. You can also get a shared taxi from the town to reach here. The vehicles take you to the parking lot from where you need to climb approx 400 steps to reach the top. There are a couple of temples on the way. The best part of the climb is the awsome view of the Aravali ranges that you get from the top. You also get to see an Observatory and few Air force Radars from the top. The place surely has that zing. Do not forget to listen to Pakistan Radio while you are at the top. Being close to radar and also being the highest point, you can easy catch signals across the border.
Tip - Try to reach the place early morning r late evening. You can plan either for sun rise or sun set view from here.

While the temple itself may not be grand in size, its spirality and aura provide a profound experience. The breathtaking scenery from the temple is a sight to behold, offering clear views on cloudless days. It's a haven for meditators seeking to find inner peace and tranquility. Our time there was truly enriching, allowing us to connect with both nature and our inner selves.

One of the best experiences of mount Abu. Lemme explain. Spotted around 15KM from mount Abu Nakki Lake. There is a temple on the peak. But the journey from nakki lake to that peak.
So many attraction points are there in between. Going there with a vehicle is just another level of experience in itself. It's clearly not about the destination, it's about the journey and destination. At peak, there's just a temple and mesmerising mountain view nothing else. It will be worth it when you enjoy the journey also, the adventures in between. We took almost half a day to reach there because we stopped at so many points.
Just advice not to go there by car as there is always so much traffic at peak with the car. Biking will be much better and literally enjoyable. I went there at monsoon by bike and i was feeling like riding among clouds fr.
Give a day to Guru shikhar. It will easily consume your entire day but will be worth it. Visit in Monsoon if you wanna feel the heaven vibes.

Last year we enjoyed an exciting and thrilling road trip. In which Madhya Pradesh Rajasthan and Gujarat were our center of attraction. On January 25, 2019 we had the fortune of visiting the Mirpur Jain Temple. This temple is located on the state highway 27 in Sirohi Rajasthan.
This ancient Jain temple belongs to the Shvetambara Sect of Jainism and is the first temple of white Marble in Rajasthan built in the ninth century. It is situated in a very attractive location. There is a very calm and intimate atmosphere surrounded by the hills. We heard about the carving, workmanship and antiquity of this temple reached here and found the fact that it's really a masterpiece that's why it's mentioned in World and Encyclopaedia of Art.
It's dedicated to twenty third Tirthankar Pasharvnath Ji and known as Bhidbhanjan. Its pillars and ceilings are richly carved with various geometrical and floral motifs. Dilwara temples are motivated and inspired by this temple. Shri Jayanandsuri Ji who was the 29th Pate and he ordered the Minister Samant in Samvat 821 to construct the temple and it was build and according to inscriptions the devkulikas in 1552 Samvat by various devotees.
Earlier it was known as Jirapalli and Hameergarh. It was a famous Jain cultural and trade center. Initially it was built by Raja Sampreti according to Tirthmala Sangrah. Here the pilgrims accomodation, community kitchen and other facilities are available. It's managed by Kalyanji Anandji Trust.
This is a best site for history buffs, wanderer, Nature lovers, arts and crafts lovers, and Architecture & heritage lovers.

Adbhut parmatma in Murti. Very good pujari looking at derasar. Kept very clean. Above all a manager of tirth is gem of person. Very eager to serve yatriks. If you want to have some thing at bhojansala you have to tell them atleast an hour before and he will keep all things ready.i have not told them in advance but on reaching there I asked he that is it possible for him to prepare tea for us and we will have our own breakfast. The carving of elephants in the temple seems to be the best work of art of the times of Pallava. The art of construction shown in building up the sikhar here is different from that of even mt.Abu. This shrine has its special significance because of its unique solitary atmosphere, its art and its age.
This temple is also mentioned in the “World And Encyclopedia of Art”. This temple was recently renovated. Today, Hamirpur is known as “Mirpur”.
Would suggest not to miss this tirth while going sirohi just 4km inside from highway, such old and spiritual places must be visited atleast once and Know the history about the same❤️

The Sarneshwar Mandir, a splendid and historically significant monument, stands as a prominent tourist attraction in the town of Sirohi. Its origins trace back to 1298 BC when Maharao Vijairaj Ji, the king of Sirohi, triumphed over Alauddin Khilji's army, gaining control of the idol. The idol was subsequently installed in the Sinarwa Mountains after being brought from Sidhpur, Gujarat, where a renowned temple had been demolished.
In the following years, the complete construction of the temple, along with its surroundings, took place, shaping the structure we behold today. Over time, the temple evolved into the family temple of the royal Devda Rajput lineage of Sirohi. Presently, the temple is under the administration of the Devasthan Department, Government of Rajasthan, boasting a sizable area adorned with intricate carvings on its walls.
There exists a compelling opportunity for the comprehensive enhancement and upkeep of the entire temple premises.

Jalore Fort, located in the town of Jalore in Rajasthan, India, is a significant historical monument with a rich history spanning several centuries. Here is a brief overview:
Ancient Origins:

A healthy visit.... As there were more then 2000 steps to climb up... It will take 40 min for a healthy and fit person to climb and 20 mins to come down . Initially if you are not a regular adventurer you will find it somehow scary in the beginning.. no people around but as u will reach at the top you will find many people there.... And the most beautiful thing i saw was that there are many mosques and temples together... you will get a complete view of jalore from the topmost point...
Unfortunately it is shattered now mostly but if it could have been maintained then it would be as beautiful as the chhitorgarh fort....
It is the centre attraction of jalore, the granite city of india. (Old name - jabalipura) . This for is also called suvarnagiri and was ruled by Gurjar pratiharas in 8,9th century. By paramaras in 10th and in 1181 chauhans .
Later allauddin Khilji captured it in 1311. Later the Mughals and restored to marwar in 1704 to independence. Jalore is also called cradle of Marwari house.

Its an unforgettable experience for me to have Safari here and also got lucky enough for leopard sighting.
Hill safari driving by Mr Praveen was thrilling and he also helped us spotting the leopard.
He tried his best to show us 2nd leopard family of the day but that didn't work. However on the way from one spot to another we experienced an adventurous jungle safari which really worth the price charged for safari.
Though the lodging/fooding was a bit expensive and remotely located.

We were in touch with Bhanu from Jawai Safaris. He not only ensured that we get an Excellent safari experience but also helped us in arranging our stay. During the stay also, he made sure to check on us. Right from planning to completing the trip, he was always available on phone and in person. His driver - Bhanwar Sa is a well trained and experienced driver and ensured that we have the best time. We did both safaris - morning and evening safaris with them and needless to say - we had a great time. It was one of its kind experience and highly recommended to everyone.

A very peaceful temple, a must visit. Do listen to your audio guide.
To click pics, you have to pay a fee of ₹150/- per person.
They also serve meals in their "bhojnalaya" at a very affordable fee of ₹60/- per person. They serve meals in batches, might have to wait for your turn.
They have accommodation facilities, but it is not from a tourism perspective.
Outside the temple, there are adventure tourism activities and safari services. I was told there is no wildlife around.

Mesmerize yourself in the beauty of this temple and views from here. The temple charges you a donation of Rs. 100 on entry and is maintained well for visitors.
The campus of the temple is big and has dedicated parking for the vehicles, from where you would have to walk about 200 m to the temple ramparts.
Points of Improvement:
1. Better maintenance of toilet, it was barely clean when we visited.
2. Should be made more accessible for people with disabilities. Lots of stairs to climb.

Chaumukha Jain Temple, 1444 A forest of marble pillars, each carved differently from the other.
History of Ranakpur Jain Temple
Ranakpurpur Jain Temple was built to order by a local businessman named Darna Shah. He wanted a beautiful temple built after he had a dream of a celestial vehicle. Many sculptors and artists submitted their designs to Shah but none of them matched the image he had dreamt of. One plan that matched his dream was by an architect named Deepak from Mundara. Deepak was able to make a design because he was impressed by the dedication of Shah to build this temple. Afterwards, Shah sought the land to build the temple from King Rana Kumbha. Not only did he give a big piece of land to build the temple on, but he also asked Deepak to build a town around it. The town built was named Ranakpur, after the king, and the same town is now known as Ranakpur. The construction of the temple began in the 14th century and went on till the 15th century.
There are a total of 5 temples in India that are considered the most sacred for Jain. One of them is Ranakpur Jain Temple. The others in the list are Dilwara Temple in Mount Abu, Rajasthan; Khajuraho Temples in Khajuraho, Madhya Pradesh; Palitana Temples in Shatrunjya Hills, Gujarat; and Gomateshwara Temple in Shravanabelagola, Karnataka.
When you’re visiting Rajasthan, Ranakpur temple is one of the places recommended to visit. It also goes by the name of Charturmukha Dharana Vihara and is dedicated to Tirthankara Rishabhanatha who was the first Tirthankara of Jainism, and he also founded the Ikshvaku dynasty.
The complex of Ranakpur ka Jain mandir includes 5 temples.
Chaturmukha/Chaumukha Temple
Built in the 15th century using white marble, it is the most popular temple in the complex and it honours Adinath, also known as Rishabanatha. It gets its name from its 4-faced design. This temple is spread across 48,000 square feet and is known for its intricacy and beautifully carved 1444 pillars, 426 columns, 89 domes, and 29 halls. Interestingly, one of the pillars is incomplete. There’s a legend about the temple that one pillar is bound to be incomplete. Whenever it has been completed, it has broken the next day itself. 1444 pillars that support the temple have been carved with exquisite detail that is nearly impossible to do even today.
One of the most attractive features of the temple, besides the pillars, is the beautifully carved idol of Parshvanatha. It has been made out of a single slab of marble. Its beauty in the detail is due to the 1008 snake carefully crafted around the idol. The same idol also has two chauri bears and yaksha and yakshi, who are half-human and half-snake. There are also two elephants carved, one on either side, that seem to be purifying Parshavanath. And you can’t find the end of the tails of these elephants.
The Ranakpur Jain Mandir also has 84 bhonyras. Bhonyras are underground chambers that were built in the earlier times during disturbance to prevent the attacks on Jain idols. It is said that the design of Ranakpur Jain Temple was used as an inspiration to design Dilwara Temple. While Dilwara Jain Temple is not for its sculptures, Ranakpur Jain Temple is known for its intricacies in the design.
Suparshvanatha Temple
Supershvanatha is the seventh Tirthankara and this temple is dedicated. The intricate designs are present even in this temple. It is also popular for the erotic arts on the wall.
Surya Temple
The construction of this sun temple dates back to the 13th century, full 2 centuries before the construction of Ranakpur Jain Temple. But it got desecrated during the time of disturbance due to repeated attacks and was later reconstructed with the remaining temple complex.
So when you are looking for places to visit in Rajasthan, Ranakpur Jain Temple must be on your list

Of all the temples, monuments, palaces, etc. that I've seen in India, Ranakpur Jain Temple is the most impressive building I've ever visited. Completely mesmerizing in its ascetic beauty and engineering. Arguably more beautiful than the great Taj Mahal. It can't be described, not even videos and photos will ever do it justice, it MUST be experienced in person.
Its remote location gives it a distinct peacefulness and serenity that you won't find in other places within India. A MUST SEE bucket list item for sure! 🙏🏼❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Complete peace amidst greenery, hills and forests. I am sure this place will remain cool and calm even during the scorching heat. There are resorts nearby and you can plan a day trip and experience the Ranakpur Wild Area Safari. It is a must visit place. A unique temple that stands only with pillars, no walls. A total of 1444 marble pillars, each pillar has a different design. Very rich in architecture and carvings. It is highly recommended to visit before evening as there are no bulbs inside, only lamps are used for lighting. Therefore, you may miss seeing the carving in detail. However, seeing the temple lit only by lamps is a different experience altogether.

The place is serene and peaceful..The architecture is spectacular..if you want to take a mobile you have to get tickets prior from the counter outside.Otherwise locker facility is available for just 10 rupees.
The architecture itself is so beautiful and the prayers and charms add beauty to the place.
You can peacefully pray here and see the place.
The stroll through the garden is also good as there are few temples apart from the main temple .
The outside view of the temple is also really nice.
Toursists are advised to maintain the decorum and instructions given by the staff as it's a religious place..Though it's a little bit away from the city. Its a must to visit place.

Great place for worship. Marvelous craftsmanship on the white marble. A must visit for all the Indians having interest in our culture and heritage. There will be negligible mobile networks in this area. The drive to this place is very scenic via mountain range.

The architecture is splendid. The carvings on the marble stones are immaculate. The temple is surrounded by a forest area. There is a charge to take cell phones, for locals it is 100 INR , for foreigners it is 300 INR. There are other charges for camera as well. The main shrine inside cannot be photographed.

Beautiful ancient architecture. The carving work is amazing. The temple is surrounded by forest area. Besides there are many trees inside the temple campus which makes it even more beautiful. You might get to see many rare birds around. Surrounding was very peaceful. There is a nominal entry free( Extra fee is charged to carry phone inside). Locker facility is available to keep your phones. Free food is served at a fixed time.

Beautiful example of Indian architecture and design. Make sure to include this place in your travel plan and admire the beauty of every corner of it. It has amazing vibes and every step you take is filled with positivity. If you are in Udaipur then you must visit this place and understand its history. Looking for "inner peace", this is the place.

Very beautiful and well maintained. You are required to remove sandals, cover shoulders and knees, and remove any leather apparel such as belts, handbags. Also not allowed to carry water in. Charge of 100 rupees to take photographs. Can't take photographs of worship area. Audio headphones available to rent. Several steps up to entrance, not sure if alternative wheelchair access available.

This place has a rich history and it is located in the valley of Aravali mountain on the bank of a rainy river with very little water during the off season. There will be negligible mobile networks in this area. The drive to this place is very scenic via mountain range.

Kumbhalgarh Fort, a 15th-century hilltop fortress located 84 kilometers north of Udaipur, is a UNESCO-listed site and the birthplace of Mewar's legendary king, Maharana Pratap. Surrounded by a massive 36km-long perimeter wall, the fort was built by Rana Kumbha and is considered the second most important citadel in the Mewar region.
Place is magical.
The climb to the palace, especially the terrace was awesome, maybe a little challenging for elderly people. Windy, lovely view of the entire fort and surrounding mountains.
Walk on the massive 12km long grand walls is enjoyable. Bunch of beautiful Hindu and Jain temples within the fort.
The tickets can be booked online or paid in cash at the entry.

Nice place to experience. It has a long wall resembling Great Wall of China. Hence a smaller version of it worth visiting. There are a lot of temples in this fort, so we couldn’t cover some important ones. The view from the top of the fort is breathtaking. This fort involves quite a bit of walking.

Even before you plan to visit The Great Wall of China, visit the underrated Kumbhalgarh fort in Rajasthan. I visited Kumbhalgarh fort in January 23, much better to visit during winters till the summer arrives! It's quite hot and the ascend gets you sweaty. The terrain, vegetation, vistas and the architectural feat par excellence.
Rather than visiting an overrated city palace in Jaipur or Udaipur please make a visit here instead!

A very beautiful place to visit. the history of the place is just explained by the beauty and hugeness of the place. the carvings over the walls of the fort and temples. The fort explains the very good architecture and ventilation made the centuries before with the less rescores and less facilities. It is a great marvel questioning the possibility of making huge structure on the hilltop of the great mountain ranges of Aravalli mountains. One should must visit this place and to know about the place more one can take a guide so they can know the place with the full history of the place.

Although the Fort is under renovation, one can explore the temples in the premises, a walk on the floor along the parapet.
Trek to the topmost point of the Fort and the view from there is breathtaking. There is Bhairav Nathji temple inside the Fort main building. Better start early to enjoy the Trek and avoid the rush. The evening Light and sound show is a must and not to be missed.

This fort is really AMAZING, you could spend easily 2 days if you like to do trekking.
We would have love to walk around the whole wall but it is 36km long and only had 3-4h at this place and did not know if all part of the wall were in good condition.
But apparently you can see some wild life, we mainly saw monkeys, birds and cows

You can buy ticket offline or online here. You need to talk a long walk inside this fort. Difficult for elderly people to walk around. Wear a cap as it gets hot. Beautiful view from the top. Well maintained. Beautiful and old temples inside the fort. Walls are very well constructed and picturesque and great architecture. Should appreciate the works in those days who constructed it with such good work. The walls go around 40 kms approximately. It lights up well at night. There are small shops and well maintained toilets. Good sitting place and good shelter under the trees.

It is definitely a historically rich fort and a must visit for those who want to learn more about Mewar as a princely state.
It has only limited information written at some key spots , so would recommend to hire a guide if you want to actually explore the fort and learn about its historical relevance.
Ideally keep 2-3 hours just to go around the fort and the walls because it’s huge. Wear comfortable clothing and sturdy shoes because it’s a steep climb to the top of the fort.

The humble tone and positive attitude of Mr Deendayal and his clarity of explaining the details of the product has been truly rewarding...On this day and age, and the manner we get defrauded in the marketplace, even with eyes wide opened...to find such genuine shop which is widely visited by so many celebrities from abroad , with the reviews highly appreciating their quality work and transparency, Their down to earth attitude and gentle demeanor ...we once again can believe in the bygone era of building trust and respect on the true artisans our India is blessed with... looking forward to purchasing many more and also personally visit the shop in near future.

Pukhraj Durry Udhyog is a captivating tourist attraction situated approximately 20km from Jodhpur. The owner provides an insightful description of the yarn and colour preparation process, and the hospitable atmosphere warmly welcomes guests even without prior appointments. The serene setting offers visitors a peaceful environment to spend an hour or more while also showcasing various designs crafted by other weavers in the village cooperative.
I visited Salawas Village as I had heard about the Durry cooperative, what I found was a hive of activity and a homestead of traditional mud and dung huts beautifully painted. These round thatched homes were both inviting and very comfortable and whilst you stayed there you were able to learn the skill of weaving on floor looms using a variety of materials ranging from camel wool, cottons, silks and hemp and how to cook traditional village food, I wish I had known about this earlier! The weavers make amazing rugs in a variety of sizes and as one would expect in Rajasthan using wonderful colours. Chai was made, the best if had tasted, whilst I looked at rugs. I knew I wanted one and was stuck for colour combinations and was really glad that I was able and privileged to purchase one. 49 families belong to this cooperative and each rug sold gives 75% to the families that make them, so definitely worthwhile in a state that has some of the poorest peoples in it. From there I was taken to a local potter who uses a two hundred kilo weight stone wheel propelled by a stick to make pots, all perfect and then onto a block printing family. If you are in the area please support this group of enterprising friendly people they really do deserve your support and bring back a rug, tiny oil lamp and block printed tablecloth!

This is the place where you can experience village life. These people run this business in their house only. Where they offer home cooked food (i paid 250/- for a thali).
very satisfying trip. about 20km from Jodhpur. Owner described the process quite well, describing how they prepare the yarns and colours. Very hospitable too. We went there without a prior appointment, yet were welcomed quite warmly! very quite and peaceful setting. A nice place to spend an hour or so.

Our guide, Narendra, took us to this weaving cooperative on our Rajasthan tour in January 2023. What a fascinating experience. Ended up ordering to extra long rugs( runners for hallway). Will post pictures once we receive them.

Fascinating, Authentic Weaver and Village Home Stay.
Sadly we were not able to stay for a meal, but enjoyed the explanation and seeing the range of different designs from other weaver's in the village cooperative.

This weaving village in the outskirts of Jodhpur is by no means any ordinary place. The weaving community here have been making hand-made carpets for generations, using their proprietary interlocking weaving style which is hard to find anywhere else. In today's world of consumeristic products and promotion-based selling culture, they still cling on hand woven products, and damn, they are good. You just need an eye to observe and appreciate their work. We visited their place in Dec 2022 to see their art but came back buying two rugs. There cannot be a price to real art, and the talent and effort these craftsmen put it surely dwarfs the price they quote. Do pay a visit if you are in Jodhpur, have a chat with them, share a cup of tea, peek into their lives and you will surely come back with fond memories (and products!).
