Andiamo Detroit Riverfront is an upscale bistro situated in the GM Renaissance Center, offering a sophisticated ambiance and stunning views of the river. This traditional Italian restaurant has been serving authentic northern Italian cuisine since 1989 and boasts an intimate dining space with a romantic atmosphere. Their menu features housemade pasta, wood-fired pizzas, fresh seafood, premium dry-aged meats, and indulgent desserts.
Andiamo Riverfront is my favorite restaurant. I used to come here with my dad growing up. The food is always free, the service is top notch, and the views are unmatched. I recently cane here this past holiday season with my extended family. They were able to accommodate all of us. All the food we ordered was delicious, and the area we sat was really lovely as they decorated it for the holidays. My favorite was the champagne, they have several available including my favorite. Overall, lovely experience.

Our server Brandon was amazing! He was attentive, friendly, and very professional! The food was excellent! The owner Mike came to our table and introduced himself, which was a very nice and personal touch added to the entire experience! Brandon and Andiamo made my birthday very special!

Love this restaurant. I have been there before but this was my first time since the pandemic began. Food and services both are excellent. Recently went there for my birthday dinner and our server Z was really great . All the dishes she suggested were really great. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I Thank my God for allowing my husband and I to see and live to see 40 years of marriage. We are celebrating downtown at Andiamo’s restaurant on the riverfront and our server. Today was Brandon who has been very kind and have really waited on us setting the atmosphere right and made it very special..thank you as well Brandon and May God Bless you.

I went to celebrate my mom's 89th birthday. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel welcome. Mike H. Is an exceptional server and made my mom feel special. My mom isn't easy to please when it comes to dining out and enjoyed everything. The chicken on the 5 pepper pasta could stand alone on a dish by itself. Very flavorful, I didn't need to add anything additional to my dish and that's the hallmark of a great chef.

This was our second time coming here and both times Alex was our waitress and she was amazing! She’s considerate and goes out of her way to make her customers happy and comfortable. The manager personally came out to check on us as well, which shows how much he cares about his patrons. The food is incredible and cooked to perfection and Alex just topped off the evening!

It takes special skills to ruin scallops but at Andiamo they did it! The Cajun-style blackening resulted in the worst scallops I have ever had. I made some frozen scallops at Trader Joe’s m, sautéed on butter with some lemon that tasted way better than this. All I could taste from Andiamo’s scallops was the weird overwhelming “blackening” seasoning that totally ruined the natural sweet flavor of the scallops. BTW The less desirably natural flavor of the escargots were similarly drowned by a garlicky buttery tomato sauce, but I didn’t mind that! But the scallops! RIP! The chefs should rethink their approach and bring the natural flavors out of their ingredients rather than imposing some conflicting weird seasoning on them. Especially scallops, the best-tasting seafood that is really hard to screw up. Here they managed to do it. Two stars because the mushroom soup was quite tasty!

Andiamo is already my favorite restaurant, but I absolutely LOVE this location. the food is delicious, the views are extremely beautiful, and the restaurant is so cozy. our waiter, Brandon, was THEE BEST! he was so sweet and informative. highly recommend this restaurant/location for anyone looking for a comfortable upscale dining experience. I have no complaints at all.

Andiamo at the Detroit Riverfront is an Italian fine dining restaurant in the Ren Cen building. They have other locations in the suburbs as well. We’ve been to the Bloomfield Twnsp on previous travels and we were happy to see a location in the Ren Cen where we were staying.
Food is very fresh, delicious and pastas are made in-house. Jordan our server was friendly and offered excellent suggestions of specialty seasonal items that weren’t on the menu.
We started with the calamari that was accompanied by a homemade tomato sauce that had fresh cut basil chiffonades (mini julienne type slice strips). Our salads both house and Caesar were on chilled plates and tasted nice.
We then had the seafood Alfredo. Jordan recommended to have the seafood grilled vs sautéed as it would taste amazing. It was devine! The fresh grilled scallops were huge and cooked perfectly. The shrimps had a Cajun like taste and married nicely with the creamy Alfredo. The generous sweet meat lobster tail was accompanied with warm drawn butter. We also had the Veal Milanese which was lightly breaded, tender and flavorful with roasted potatoes and green beans.
We were so full and although the desert selections looked amazing, we wanted something light. I asked Jordan if they had spumoni ice cream. He didn’t disappoint! That was the best spumoni ice cream I’ve had in ages. Beautiful flecks of kirsch cherry, chocolate ribbons and other bursts of flavor was perfect.
Great place for any occasion or just to treat yourself. Authentic fresh Italian flavors abound! Grazi Andiamo for a beautiful meal!

A special event was being held the evening. We might have thought twice had we known as we had to eat in the back in a room with no windows, which was noisy. However, the food was excellent and our server made up for it. We enjoyed the pasta bolognese...and lasagna. We also had creme Brule and caramel cheesecake, both were thes best by far wr have had locally.
We definitely enjoyed our meals

Jon helped us valet park ( we have a lifted truck and cannot fit in parking garages ), instructions to the restaurant were easy, D'Angelo was attentive, kind , suggestive , and positive. Our food was hot , perfect, well worth the cost. What a beautiful view , right Detroits Riverfront ! Great date night . Live music. Amazing all together and amazing service ! We will be back !

I went and sat at the bar with my friend to have Happy hour specials. The best shrimp pasta I had. The calamari appetizer was on point too, as well as the cocktails. My friend enjoyed her lambchops as well. The bartender made delicious cocktails and always checking on us. I didn't have a high expectations out of a restaurant in the hotel but I was wrong.

Had dinner with two business associates last night and everything was spectacular. Our servers was Talesha and she was top notch. She knows the menu, inside and out, is attentive, obervant, and brings top notch energy. To start we went with the the sausage and peppers (Peperoni Ungheresa alla Rustica) appetizer. This was absolutely amazing. The sausage and peppers were cooked perfectly and the sauce was full of flavor. I ordered the 8oz filet cooked medium which came with green beans, Italian potatoes and their signature zip sauce. The steak was cooked perfect, tender, and tasted amazing. Each of us ordered dessert, which included their season cheesecake (peanut butter and jelly), creme brule, and cannoli. Let's just say we cleaned all three plates!! Even though this place is expensive, it's definitely worth it and we will be back.

I planned my mother a 55th birthday celebration here at this location. The staff was so accommodating and friendly. Super helpful to make my mom’s day as special as possible. For larger parties, they do make you put down a deposit and you can only use one credit card per party. Everyone who came enjoyed themselves and live band was very interactive with our group. My only critique was our server. He was nice, but not very accommodating. I understand it was a busy night and we had a large party but they should allow him to take care of only one party at a time if it’s too overwhelming. He did not thoroughly explained the menu, and how the pricing work, which caused a lot of confusion but overall we figured it out, and the meal was great and experience was even better.

The scenery was beautiful. The food was great and the service was amazing. I would definitely recommend getting anything with steak. I had the steak special. It was perfectly seasoned and the zip sauce added even more flavor. I definitely recommend this restaurant for a special night out. Mike the owner and Mike the server were awesome! 10/10✨✨

We gathered for a surprise birthday party to celebrate my little sister, who was in town, visiting from LA. Our server and waiter, Brandon and Jorge, were excellent! Brandon was very knowledgeable about the menu and specials, and they were both very attentive to our large party. I had sweet sangria, shared a calamari appetizer with my niece, and the lamb chops with diced potatoes, green beans, and a side of asparagus. Great food and great service! Will definitely return!

The hotel Caesars Windsor is a luxury property with modern facilities, such as an indoor pool and spa, a casino, and restaurants. It is located just across the Detroit River from downtown Detroit, making it easy to explore both cities on your trip.
Rooms are clean, modern, and a good size. the bathrooms have a separate tub and shower and are very nice! Beds are a bit soft so our sleep wasn't the best. But otherwise it was great. The common areas were lovely, clean, and staff were great (with the exception of one snarky barmaid....perhaps she was having a bad day). The casino is terrific - the slots are fun with plenty of new ones.

Honestly the rooms were great. The casino was fun. The only complaint I have, was that the main check-in desk was a long walk from the tower we stayed in. There was very little signage or information given beforehand on how to check in. I ended up lugging bags from a parking garage, through a casino, up stairs, then had to retrace my route just to go back to another tower to my room. Those issues were the only ones. The rooms were very clean. Great views. Elevators always came really quick when called. Comfy bed. My girlfriend loved the heat lamp in the bathroom. The casino has a calm relaxed vibe until about 9pm when the younger crowd comes in, so depending on what you're looking for, plan accordingly. Staff at the casino were super helpful and friendly. I will absolutely come back.

Went and stayed here with my sis. The room was really nice and newly updated. We stayed on the side with just adults (which was perfect). In the room we had a great view, it was clean and the check-in process with really quick. Now checking out was a different experience, the person that checked us out was kinda of rude, but overall, all it was a nice spacious clean casino. It is a mini version of the Caesars in Las Vegas. Nice restaurants and their restaurants that are walking distance restaurants.

We have stayed there twice. The place itself if beautiful. We stay for days when we go. Both times could not get room cleaned. First time they said we had to ask for it. Second time we asked they said they only clean it after 3 days. After 3 days still not cleaned. When I went to call the phone didn't work. It's really disappointing. I clean in myself both times. Had to catch a employee to get towels. I went through hopper the last time terrible view don't do that. The time before Expedia great view. The rooms are clean when you get there. And the place is really pretty.

We went to a show at the casino that our kids bought us tickets for for Christmas. Everything about it was great. We ate dinner at Spago's,went to casino for a while, then on to the show. We paid for valet parking that was so convenient and well run. The dinner was very reasonable and also the parking. We will watch for shows that we want to see and definitely book something again. Absolutely loved the whole experience.

Came here for a show at the Coluseum. Love the entry re entry if you want to go get food before a show. Guest services and security are all very helpful.
Bars move fast and have a nice selection.
Seats are set up nice to face the stage with 2 big screens to show the audience farther away.
I recommend express parking next to the valet and very fast retrieval.
Clean casino floor. A handful of food options but leave some time if you're going to a show.

I am not into gambling, but if I was, I would certainly look to go here. Very friendly and safe establishment and very clean and modern. Tons of machines and tables and best of all, you do not pay taxes on your winnings like in the USA. Love the fact that there is plenty of indoor parking and it is free.

Great clean hotel and room. Friendly staff. Casino and few great bars. Definitely, challenging parking: park and walk to the hotel to the reception on the second floor or use valet. Another minus is linked room to next door room; do not like to have that option and honestly would like to know in advance if the room is linked. Enjoyed my staff and will be back!

My family and I recently went to Casino Windsor for my cousin's 19th birthday party, and we all had a really good time! The casino had many games to play and lots of fun activities for everyone.
We stayed at a nearby hotel that had a comfortable and clean room. The food at the casino's restaurant was delicious, and there was something for everyone to enjoy.
Overall, Casino Windsor was the perfect place to celebrate my cousin's big day, and we all had a blast! I would recommend it to anyone looking for a fun place to spend a special occasion.

Rooms are clean and comfortable with modern furnishings. Nevertheless, the hotel is surrounded by casino. And casinos have little tricks to try to keep you on the gaming floor, for example, there are no maps of the premises, no pathfinding kiosks. The TVs in the rooms have a guide channel but they’ve left off programming info, they’d rather you not be watching TV. And you know they hide clocks on the game floor. Parking will fill up late on weekends. There are very few shops here, the jewelry vendor is most notable. And relatively few dining options in 2023. Still, I had a nice visit here, and will not hesitate to come back for shows and special events.

Can’t find the main entrance. The signage sucks. We checked in super late (2:30am) only to be woken up just past 9am by house keeping trying to clean our room. Knocked 3 times and I answered and she said I suppose you have a late checkout? I said when is checkout? she said 11! I said that’s in nearly 2 hours what are you talking about. She left after ruining my sleep. You need better communication with the front desk I think. I told the front desk and she didn’t seem to care. The phone in room didn’t work either. Was in charge but wouldn’t hold a charge to call downstairs so I had to use my personal device.

Booked 2 queen bedrooms on the Forum Tower (Luxury River view rooms) for the first weekend in August. Location was great since it was connected to the casino for a couple friends attending the poker tournament. Room itself was nice, large and spacious. Service level however, was disappointing. We requested rooms on high floor with nice views of the river but was assigned rooms on a low floor with a maintenance deck and a big smoke stack right outside the window blocking the view. We arrived and tried checking in just 10 minutes before 3pm (check in time) but was not allowed unless we pay an extra fee to check in 10 minutes early...doesn't make sense at all! To avoid paying this extra fee, we had to line up again after 3 pm when everyone was trying to check in at the same time. Also, when checking in, I asked if there were connecting rooms available (we booked 2 rooms) and was assured no problem and the staff confirmed we were assigned connecting rooms. Well, they were not connected at all once we arrived at the rooms. Anyway, we didn't bother to walk all the way back to Registration to clarify since we were only there for 1 night and simply accepted what was assigned. Honestly, I rather be told up front that no connecting rooms available than being reassured that they were and was assured the views are great but none of this was true when we got to our rooms. For the price paid for these luxury rooms, we expected to be better but somewhat disappointed with the service.

Visited from Detroit. Stayed on a Monday night for best price. Comfortable rooms. Was a bit of a maze to walk inside from the parking garage but when we were leaving someone tipped us that it's easier to just walk across from outside to the lobby rather than snaking thru the casino. One person in our party was 19 and had to show both his ID and US passport to security when going into the casino so make sure to have them both ready and on your person for that. Other than that our stay was a fun night and enjoyed the table games and some slots. Dinner at Legends was great too. Hope to be back soon.

Dawn Marie Johnson 4147 the Janitor made our whole entire night. She was by far the light of our entire night. She was so sweet and caring and does her job so well. She is the best. There was not a spec of dust on anything on the floor and she scrubbed the Cosmos floor with passion. I have never seen such a dedicated worker in my life. If I could promote her to Manager, I would without question. What an amazing experience, Thank you Dawn!!! :)

Stayed here while we were in town visiting friends with our your son.
The rooms are beautiful and the beds are quite comfortable, we also had a panoramic view of Detroit which at night you are surprised by how nice it actually is.
when we came to put our son to bed though we we’re extremely disappointed to find out they no longer offer room service, nor are you allowed alcohol in your rooms.
You can go downstairs and get food and bring it back up to your rooms but not alcohol and they banned bringing alcohol from outside. So when the wife and I wanted to relax, wind down and just have a couple drinks and watch a film while our son slept we just couldn’t.
The TV’s also don’t have the ability to cast or airplay from your phone so unless you want to pay their ridiculous prices for rentals you are stuck with standard cable TV which was fine 15 years ago, but not quite what you would expect from a “luxury” hotel in a suite none the less.
Keep that in mind before booking or going upstairs for the evening.

Very fun place, the clubs are fun and the food / shows are good. I recommend playing digital roulette because there is no minimum bet, table is sometimes 25$ minimum.
- dress nicely or they won’t let you in
- bring 2 forms if ID, drivers license and health card works

Spent two nights there. The room was nicely decorated and clean. It was also very quiet and all the staffs we encountered were absolutely wonderful to us. We would recommend the hotel to anyone wishing a great place to stay. Only drawback it's proximity to the slots.

Just stayed our first night there and enjoyed it. Initially finding our way to the self-park lot was a little more challenging than expected, but I probably have to own that myself.
Once we got inside the building the staff was friendly and helpful, but not all that accurate, in helping us navigate to the various places we had to go.
Room was spacious, with a very large bathroom, and also had a great view of the river. On check-in we made reservations at Nero's steak house in the property. That was pretty smooth given that they were busy due to a Russell Peters show in the the building for the night in question. However, when we called Nero's to adjust the reservation we weren't showing up in their system. That lead to a few anxious moments, but they were still able to squeeze us in, in the end.
Enjoyed some time in their pool area too. Spa is currently closed (still due to COVID, I believe), so that was a bit disappointing.
Overall good experience though. Will return.

To be fair it deserves a 4.5 star rating taking into consideration the following. Most likely Caesar's Windsor is the nicest hotel in town. Our room was on the 20th floor and we had a nice view. The beds were very comfortable and the room was clean. The bathroom was also nice. I should have taken more photos. The town itself has little to do so I'm happy we opted to staying at the casino hotel. The parking is free but there is a resort fee. The service in the casino itself was a little slow to get a gaming card because they needed to amalgamate the card with other properties I had visited in Vegas so that's the only negative thing that happened. Not the fault of the employees, but waiting half an hour for a card is a little much. Food at breakfast was self service but the prices were reasonable and the food was good. The staff all over the casino were nice and helpful.

Finding the valet parking for the hotel was not easy. Hint…. Its the last sign that just says valet. But check in was fast n easy. The rooms are beautiful. The walk to the elevators though … I will be having them come get my bags. I think it was because I had river view. The river view rooms are spacious. Clean with the tub n shower separate. Super windy out so we stayed on site for dinner. Lots of options.

I was denied entry Saturday morning because I had a backpack containing my breast pump. I was told I would need to leave my bag in the car and pump in the parking garage. I ended up just leaving. My understanding is that this isn’t legal seeing how it is a medical device. Is this allowed? I would like to know for next time

I would only recommend this place if you have lots of money. Don't trust online booking, you get redirected to a 3rd party that adds another service charge of $139. I then was put in the wrong tower and while moved me to a new room they added $200 more to my credit card without telling me. And because I didn't want to be further gauged by valet parking I had to park off site and carry my baggage across the street. The rooms are basically just a cleaner version of any hotel with the same plastic cups. No closet even in the room I was in. I gave the extra star only because they were able to move me while still claiming to be fully booked.

The spa is my favorite part, the indoor pool with views of the river is great! Awesome gym, sauna and private showers, they thought of everything!! Highly recommend. Great for a one night getaway to a “foreign” country lol. They also have a list of awesome shows revolving through. Also the buffet is amazing and very vegan friendly with many Mediterranean options. Easy in and out across the border.

Visited to see the Tiffany Haddish show; booked 2 nights. Check-in took over 15 minutes based on some silly tiered member program.
Room was nice and updated, but a bit dusty. The view was good, however, our room had a conjoining door and we found the noise disturbing - called reception at 9:30 pm to request assistance, but the employee Chris refused to address the issue. As he stated that it was not yet 11 pm. By 1 am our neighbors were screaming profanities and asked to leave the hotel. We were woken again by 3:30 am. The hotel staff did nothing to remove these patrons, not address the noise complaint.
The food at Spage was delicious and the portions were generous. We found the resort very walkable, but staff are not well trained to address questions. Their overall service was far too casual. Don't allow the valet parking to convince you that self- parking is inconvenient; it's easy and leads directly to all amenities - save the $20 per day.

Hosts do not follow through with offers/accommodations, granted they left the company before we got there. Aggressive valet experience, filed a complaint, still no resolution. What was supposed to be a great weekend visit, turned out to be just not that. Lots of people holding machines with jackets/coats, one lady had 4 machines blocked and after multiple requests, nothing was done??? Will not revisit, regret going there.....zero resolution to anything....

Two towers with rooms. Right now (early 2024) Augustus Tower is nicer. The views of the ships on the river with the Detroit skyline beyond are great. The casino itself has everything you want. My one lament is the music, which is typical of the Buffalo-Cleveland-Windsor corridor: 1970s retreads (which the locals just can't get enough of no matter how many times they hear, apparently; definitely a regional thing).
Nero's steakhouse is worth getting a reservation or, if you luck out, you might score a seat at Nero's bar.
Outside, taking a walk along the riverfront is a great way to get some sun and fresh air while enjoying the views.
Parking is free and easy, but be prepared to walk because you have to cross the property to get to the Augustus Tower. Alternatively, the valet gives you the option of eliminating the walk (nice attendants and responsive service).

Desk assistant manager has a terrible attitude. We ended up canceling our room because she was so very rude. The hotel staff then charged our two different cards a debit card and credit card on file for the full amount. When asked about it they just said it would come back on our card. But we would be without those funds for 3-5 days is unacceptable. I will not be returning to this place and will spend my money elsewhere.

Edit: after looking at the reviews, I noticed the Casino only seems to respond to positive reviews and does not address the poor reviews. It's seems the biggest complaint is the check-in desk and housekeeping. I'm wondering if our planned return visit for a night may be a mistake. 🤔

If you're looking for some fun in Windsor, Caesars is a must stop. The casino floor is clean and spacious with hundreds of slot machines and plenty of table games to chose from. The Colosseum event space is also great, we saw Bad Friends and it was hilarious. Highly recommend stopping in at Ariius nightclub as well.

Beautiful casino. Clean, stylish rooms. We actually had an accessible room (we didn’t know until we entered the room) and it was very spacious and had a walk in shower and a bathtub. We did not have a view, we where given an option, but we decided on a no view. No big deal to us.
The only complaint I have is that we entered the casino/hotel enter an e through the parking garage with suitcases, bags etc and we had to walk too far as in threw the casino up an escalator to get to the check out. Then back all the way through again. No big deal but luggage carts or something should be offered. Our bags were heavy and I can only imagine elderly people having to do the same.
But we are very happy with our stay and we decided to come back in a months time.

I can tell you that this casino has zero respect for their players. They don’t care how much money or trine you spend in their establishment. We are regular players (seven star) and even though we spend more time there than their staff, we get treated very poorly. I highly recommend going anywhere else, Detroit is minutes away… And they have 3 casinos that treat their players so much better!!! So steer clear of Caesars Windsor, and go elsewhere!!! Also found a dirty fork with cake icing on it in our room, next to the bed. Gross,
Scenic park with a 352-ft.-tall column dedicated to those who fought in the Battle of Lake Erie.
Unfortunately the trip to the top was closed because of covid, but the rotunda was open and really something to see and understand. The peace between the US, UK, and Canada we kinda take for granted today, but there definitely was a time when such a thing wasn't guaranteed. Really awesome to see it and read the different displays. So cool!

This place is really impressive. You don't really get a feel for exactly how tall this monument is, until you are standing underneath of it looking up. It was a shame that we weren't able to go up to the observation deck, as out time was short, and the line for the elevator was way too long. What an awesome view the property offers though. Truly an honorable memorial for Perry. Next time we come, we will make it a point to ride up to the top. I'm sure that the view is breathtaking

This is a wonderful monument with great facilities. The staff is knowledgeable and the view from the top on a clear day is breathtaking. The island has a ton of attractions and entertainment for kids and adults.

A must visit place in Put-In Bay. The view from the top of the observatory was awesome! The park rangers were friendly and helpful. The ticket to the top of the tower was $10 for adults. It takes around a minute in a classic old elevator to reach the top. The rangers will be there to explain the brief history. In the top there are information boards and also the guards who can explain the view and the information about the islands in sight.
Saurav Shrestha — Google review
If you want the most fantastic view of the island, you can only go here. It has an elevator to the top to see the whole surrounding islands and area. The monument has great information in the visitor center that tells you all about the battle, history, and the people involved. It is run by park service folk that will answer any of your questions and are friendly and professional. It is also one of the taller monuments in all of the United States. It truely is a beautiful monument, view, and amazing part of history.

I didn't know anything about this memorial until we were on the island and to discover the history behind it was informative and interesting. Unfortunately the elevator was down and we were not able to go to the top, which I'm sure provides breathtaking views. It was still amazing to go into the rotunda and see the inscriptions inside.

Great views from the top! Inside the moment there's a nice history of the monument and the area. It's right next to the Lake Erie shoreline so it's very scenic.

Great memorial! Love the views you get of the different islands, Canada and Lake Erie as a whole!
The park rangers were very nice and I was impressed with their knowledge of history!
My only complaint is that I wish you didn’t have to reserve a date or time but that’s all! Highly recommend you stop here, it’s worth the time and money!

We had an absolutely AWESOME visit to the Perry's Monument during our recent visit to Ohio. I brought my daughters to see where I grew up as a kid, and hadn't been to the top of the monument in about 15 years. The Park Rangers were so professional and welcoming! We were pleasantly surprised when our interagency pass that we earned from being retired disabled military veterans, admitted our whole family. Thank you all for such a memorable visit!

We enjoyed our visit to the memorial but were disappointed that the elevator is out of service due to a lightning strike. I was at the top years ago and it offers a great view far across the lake. Nice visitors center with information on the battle of Lake Erie during the War of 1812. There is actually six officers, three American and three British that are buried under the monument itself. When we were there, two people were dressed as a British officer and sailor and gave a demonstration of firing war-era flintlocks.

This whole time I thought it was a lighthouse. I am so glad we checked it out. First National Park I've been to as well! Slowly connecting the dots of America's history, all the lessons that were crammed into a semester of middle school, remembering only enough to pass a test. It's so much more to see it in person and from a place of genuine interest. The NPS has done a great job. I hope to visit many more National Parks to fill up my passport.

This tower and museum is the best thing to do in Put-in Bay, other than water sports and spending time in parks. The view from the top is great. A must visit.

Didn't even knew this peace memorial existed until our day trip to put in bay. Highly recommend! Don't forget your park pass, it will get you free admission to the top of the monument. Learned some from history about the war of 1812 and how lake eerie was a part of it.
Cedar Point is a mammoth amusement park with plenty of thrilling rides for visitors of all ages. With 17 roller coasters, it's one of the world's most popular destinations for thrill seekers.
I dreamed of coming here for son long, and I finally found the time. If you like roller coasters, this place is a most. So many world class coasters here!! You will find pretty much every kind, and Steel Vengeance is simply out of this world, absolutely mind blowing. One detail I didn’t like 100% is that, even if you have the Fast Lane Plus, like I did (and I highly recommend it), you will have waiting times about 30 - 40 minutes in highly popular attractions (Steel Vengeance and Millennium Force had always a minimum of 30 minutes of waiting WITH Fast Lane Plus). It’s nothing compared with 2 hours, I know, but Fast Lane Plus is expensive, and forcing you to wait that much seems a bit unfair, from my point of view. Anyways I had a ton of fun, and enjoyed every single minute in the park.

I never tired of Cedar Point as a kid, and now it’s my turn to make those memories with my kiddos. We have been pass holders for years. From the kiddos being younger, there was tons of enjoyment for them in Snoopy Land and Kiddy Kingdom. To now then being older and finally riding 48” rides. They are already excited for the next few years to hit the last milestone of the 56” rides. Lots of memories to last ours and their lifetime! There is something for everyone!!
Lots of restaurant choices. I do how we highly suggest the Dining pass or plan (depending if daily visit or pass holder) you absolutely get your monies worth and won’t be disappointed either!
If you visiting for the day as well, the fast lane plus is a great add on, to make sure you get the best bang for the day. Also the all day refill cups, fillips available every 15 minutes.
Younger, older, kids, no kids. You won’t be disappointed!!

Went here for my senior trip, and it was a great experience!
There was quite a bit of good things at cedar point. It had quite a huge variety of rides for both beginners and coaster enthusiasts in general. It also has classic activists for a park, such as a merry-go-round and bumper cars, both of which are really fun.
It also has a really cool arcade to visit when you’re wanting time between rides. Wait times can be long at times, but for the most part are fair and can be avoided with fast lane.
With the lake nearby, you can cool off too if you have trunks. The pools/hot tubs are also great to visit inbetween!
My only irk in general is the prices. Most food spots in the premises are grossly overpriced, 20 dollars for things that would cost only 10 outside of the park. Drinks are also super expensive and not worth it.
Overall the park is really fun and I’d love to visit in the future to ride more rides. I loved the maverick as my first roller coaster, and j can’t wait to go on more!

Great price with the Summer season pass ($100). I was in town for a week and opted for this option. Parking was included.
Great assortment of ride for all ages and the park was not too busy during the week mid June.
I’m from FL and have been to all the parks in Orlando/Tampa. It is nice to have fewer people than at Disney plus this park is great for coasters!
Food options are good but the price is what you would expect. If you plan on 10am-10pm day I would do the meal pass.

Oh my, what can I say about this wonderful place? It is without a doubt my absolute favorite destination in the world and I wish I made time to go more often. I don’t think they have a single ride that isn’t amazing (Well maybe Gemini, cause it nearly broke my neck on that last turn). I’m glad I was able to visit this place and ride Mean Streak and Wicked Twister before they were torn down to make way for other attractions. Maverick was my favorite roller coaster in the world until Steel Vengeance debuted. Now I can’t wait to head back here this summer to try out the new Top Thrill Dragster 2. Also, as a bonus, my favorite restaurant in the world Famous Dave’s BBQ is right out the side entrance on the pier. Speaking of Famous Dave’s, on one trip Top Thrill Dragster was shut down all day so we stuffed ourselves at Famous Dave’s and had about 20 minutes till the park closed so decided to give it another try. It was operational with no line and all of a sudden we were panicking because we were so full from dinner. But, a short 15 second ride later on TTD and I guess the food incinerated in our stomachs at 120mph cause we all felt great afterwards.

Visited for the first time this year. Officially my favorite place in the world ever. I’m a roller coaster enthusiast, and have been wanting to visit since the days of Millennium Force being built. I hyped myself for it for 21 years, and it still surpassed my expectations massively. All the rides were over the top epic. My entire top 10 got thrown into madness, as nearly every ride I went on was dethroning a coaster from somewhere else. That back row night ride of Steel Vengeance for my first ever ride was basically life changing, not even a ride, it was a full blown life experience. Fast passes were worth it, got to do every major coaster multiple times. The park doesn’t even look real as you are approaching, but rather some person’s roller coaster tycoon creation. The park was clean, even smelled good. The food was excellent. I will return every year for the rest of my life.

We traveled here from the Dallas area for my son‘s birthday. He is a roller coaster fanatic. This place did not disappoint!
Plenty of roller coasters to make everyone in your family happy, from mild to wild!
Steel Vengeance was our favorite, followed by Millennium Force.
The park was kept exceptionally clean, and we always felt safe.
The safety protocols for each ride were interesting to watch. Rides go “down” frequently, and the procedures to bring them back online takes some time.
We stayed at one of the Park hotels and got one hour early entry, also a wristband for unlimited sodas throughout the day.

Cedar Point is one of the greatest places to visit for all members of the family! It is a coaster enthusiast's dream ( 17 in all ), great rides of all kinds for the rest of the family, and really good entertainment. The food choices were also top notch! They also have a pretty nice water park for the hotter days. I would give Cedar Point 10 out of 10 stars, a must place to visit! The beach on Lake Erie was also great! Sand was so soft and felt good between the toes! Beautiful!!

Go mid-week, arrive early and wear comfortable clothes. The park was very clean and well staffed, but some rides were closed intermittently. The park has every type of ride you can imagine! The quality of the food was awesome. Purchase the dining plan and share with a friend. Camp Snoopy rides were great for small kids. Gift shops were expensive - but the merchandise is well made. We will be back next year for two days!

The best amusement park in the country. So many great rides for all visitors. Millennium Force and Steel Vengeance are two of the best coasters in the world and I highly recommend riding them at night if you get the chance.

Wow! What a place!
This really is the roller coaster capital of the world! And they are all SO good: Fast, Smooth, Fun!
They have many dining options; my only complaint is they do not have an allergen list online, as places, such as Disney World, have.
We go at least 4 times every year and have invested in a gold pass; they are so worth it!
Personally, my favorite ride is Millennium Force, don't be afraid! Be sure to give it a shot!
Very clean, maintained well, and have beautiful landscaping! And be sure to visit for Halloweekends! They have everything decorated to the nines! It's amazing! 😍
P.S. A pro tip from someone who goes every year: Do not go expecting short lines! Be ready to wait and have patience!
Enjoy the 42 photos I took! 😃

It’s fun for the whole family. Rides for all ages. Many, many roller coasters. Don’t think you can finish all rides in one day. Rides are fairly close to each other which could save some time. Park was kept clean but restrooms needed some attention.

We went on a Sunday mid summer expecting long wait lines with the regular tickets and were surprised to find relatively short wait lines! Steel Vengeance and Maverick were both just over an hour at peak day, but otherwise the large coasters were about a half hour wait and we were able to go on them a couple times each! We also had the all day dining wristband for $79 each which included parking and park entry, which gives the ability to eat a meal every 90 minutes. I had $18 at Panda Express and a $16 burrito bowl included with the dining pass, paid for itself quickly considering I didn't have to pay $30 to park!

I took the kids up for two days at Cedar Point for one last fling before school started. The three of us had such a good time. I highly recommend staying at Breakers Hotel in Cedar Point. It was so convenient to be able to just walk over to the park or back to the hotel to take a break throughout the day.

Great park, great rides. Free parking is great.
One thing to keep in mind, get Fast Lane Passes if you are able to afford them, definitely a time saver. My boys were able to ride 7 roller coasters with those passes in 1 hr and 10 min - and that's on a Saturday right before a Labor Day.

It was a great experience for me and my friends. It is a huge amusement park and it is impossible not to have fun. We had unlimited fun with the gold pass and can enter the park whenever we want. I do not recommend you to go on the weekend because the queues are very long for great roller coasters such as Steel Vengeance, Maverick and Millennium Force. In short, it was a great day.

Absolutely had the best time at Cedar Point, it’s not your stereotypical Amusement park, in my opinion, it’s better! So many rides for all ages and even for those with physical disabilities. The wait times were not bad, longest wait we actually decided to endure was 45 minutes. There were some rides with 60+ minute wait time and we just did not go there. Cedar Point has a wonderful app where one can see wait times and closures of rides in real time, as long as one is in the park. I highly recommend downloading the app, it helps not just for the rides but also to store tickets and one’s parking location. Lockers are available to rent and leave one’s belongings, but I found that each ride has a storage bin and one can leave one’s things there while riding and they are fine. Of course the park is not responsible in case someone does steal one’s things, but I found it to be very secure in the park.
There are many places to eat and one very convenient thing to prepay is an all day or all season cup. With the cup, one can refill every 15 minutes at any of the refreshment areas, there are Coke products only. There’s also all day dining options, at that point one can eat every 90 minutes, but in my opinion that is not worth it. The drink special definitely is worth it as one has to stay hydrated. The price of the ticket is definitely worth it and if one lives nearby, I say, get a season pass!

Halloween weekend was fun. Many people, every game was with a least 1.5 hour wait but they were all worth it. Food is good, highly recommend buying the ticket+food bundle if you are planning to stay there for lunch and dinner.

The best place on the planet. The ride choices are non ending, steel vengeance, millennium force, and although Maverick is completely overrated, it is still good. The 1-2 punch with Vengeance and Maverick is great considering they are right next door. Every time I come here I have a blast, but is it better than Kings Island? It's close.

No new rides to speak of this year, and the Top Thrill Dragster has been decommissioned, however that thing has been mostly nonfunctional for years. Cedar Point still the best amusement park around by quiet some distance. Ticket prices here are very reasonable to. If you're from Michigan you can get a whole family of 4 in for the price of 1 addition ticket to Disney :)
Went on Saturday in late August, and lines are very reasonable, even Millennium Force was only 40 minutes. We got on every ride that we wanted to do with a few hours to spare. Also recommend the food pass. If you're going to eat at least twice it will pay for itself.

Always a great place for fun. Plenty of rides, shows, games, beach activities and food options. There is something for everyone here at this park. Been here hundreds of times since I was a kid and every single visit is uniquely different. The best park in the world, but I’m also incredibly biased.

Another great weekend at Cedar Point. It was a bit rainy but most rides still stayed open, and the ones that did go down were only down for a minimal time. Wait times did get a bit high in the afternoon, but the app was handy to check wait times ahead of time. Love all the coasters. We stayed at the lighthouse point cabins and the view and accomodations are always great.

This is an amazing amusement park. We came in 2022 and came back in 2023. It’s beautifully maintained and clean. The rides are great! Expect to wait 60-90 minutes for the thrill rides. Food is expensive and greasy so best bring a packed lunch. They have cute Squishmellows to buy which the kids love. This is a wonderful family holiday destination.
Family-friendly bar & grill at Kalahari Resort specializing in burgers & imaginative shakes.
Amazing milkshakes and food. I ordered the B-Lux burger both times I went (twice), and a Banana peanut butter shake the first time, and a strawberry shortcake shake the second. Each time I went it was delicious.
Wonderful atmosphere, and design with it all. I also really appreciate our waiter Robyn, she was amazing and she was so kind and really seemed like she liked her job.
My only complaint was how my strawberry shortcake shake did not look like how it did in the pictures. It didn’t look as tall, and didn’t come with strawberries on it and cheesecake crust. It’s a small complaint rlly so I’m leaving the review at 5 stars. Don’t miss out on this place!

Food was tasty but it was cold and you could tell it had been sitting a while before it came out. The place wasn't really that busy at the time and we only had a table of 3, so I'm not sure what happened there. Waiter was friendly but not on top of refills. For the price, I'd expect better all around.

Have been here many times with great food and service, had already eaten dinner there the past 2 nights. This evening though was very frustrated as I wanted to take my 13 year old and sit at the bar and have milkshakes. I found out sitting at the bar is for 21 and over, which doesn’t seem right for a family oriented resort. So we ordered them to go since it was a 30 minute wait for a table. After we ordered she said we could go sit at these tables and wait, so i said ok well we can just eat there, but she said we were not allowed because they are for take out only. Then our milkshakes come out and was very disappointed as they look nothing like the menu and were told because they were ordered to go. So I paid $40 for 2 milkshakes that I could have got at Dairy Queen for 1/4 of the price.

Our waiter Tre W was incredible. I was waffling between two options and he gave honest and amazing advice leading me to one of the best turkey burgers - and best turkey anythings!! - that I’ve ever had. Let's start off with the service from our waitress Emily was outstanding.. the restaurant itself was very clean and smelled very good. The fries were awesome very well seasoned great atmosphere I really loved the lights hanging great touch. I was worried with it being right next to the indoor water park you can't hear anything going on in restaurant but it's quiet in there very nice you can't hear anything from the water park and we were sat right next to the window. Overall we had a great time we may try again before we leave only because of the great service from Emily.. THANK YOU EMILY :)

Service was amazing. The sandwich itself was a great oversized burger with exception of the burger. I ordered it medium and it came out ready for the face off in the Stanley Cup. The waiter offered to remake it, but my policy is to never return food. ( I don’t want the “special sauce”). The server offered some free gaming cards for my son. Overall I am happy with my experience but the burgers should be on point at a place that calls itself a burger joint.

B-Lux is a beautiful restaurant positioned over the indoor WaterPark of Kalahari. Of course, restaurants and items at Kalahari are ridiculously priced. We really expected the food to be better than it was. The burger was top notch and tasted fresh. However we both chose onion rings as a side when we were asked what we would like for a side “fries, onion rings, or chips?” and they were so soft as if they had been sitting out a long while the coating was not crispy at all. To top it off, when the bill came there was a $5 up charge for choosing onion rings. The food came out very quickly and that would explain why the onion rings tasted old, premade food just waiting to go out. I had to request a different drink because the Mountain Dew came out looking like lemonade, no bubbles and extremely flat. My son got a delicious birthday shake because we were there celebrating his 4th birthday. Overall the meal with tip was over $100 for two adults and 1 toddler so expect sub par food for a higher class price tag. Wished we would have just gotten pizza at the cafeteria which is always delicious!

We came on a slow weekday, Thursday, beginning of February, and we really enjoyed it! No wait lines for anything, we received our food really fast! Our waitress was amazing and the food was great! Very generous portions!
We really weren't sure how this restaurant would be being a part of a waterpark resort but we were plesantly surprised!
Very nice, comfy, quiet ambience to relax from the busy and loud waterpark! Very clean and well maintained.
I tried the korean glazed salmon and my husband is always weary of restaurant salmon but he almost ate all of my meal after trying it because it was really good! Nice and juicy salmon, and the veggies and rice it came with was wonderful.
Jusy make sure if you are coming from the waterpark, don't come in with your bathing suit. They require you wear shoes and shirt over your bathing suit to enter the restaurant.

Do not waste your money, drive down to Steak N Shake or McDonalds, you'll have just as good food for 1/4th of the price. I feel like we got robbed. Paid $75 for a medium well burger that was served so raw I could couldn't eat it. My husband's burger was also too raw, but he powered though cause he was hungry. My daughter ordered a soda, we're still waiting for it. And the kicker was we get our check and were charged an extra $3 each for fries. & don't get me started on the milkshake that looked nothing like the menu. Two thumbs down!!
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a museum dedicated to the history of rock and roll. It features displays on the music, the performers, and the industry. The museum is located in Cleveland, Ohio.
We spent five hours at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and loved it! We spent 90 minutes on level 0- the main exhibit that had a ton of information.
The Garage was a family favorite as my husband and son(12 years old) were able to play piano, guitars and drums. We were there on a Tuesday, so it wasn't too busy, which was great for the Garage.
We enjoyed the wall of inductees and videos that went along with them.
The Cafe is convenient, but pricey. The food was decent. We parked in the harbor lot for $10.00 and that was easy.
Definitely a destination for those who love and appreciate music!

I love Rock & Roll Hall of Fame! One of the largest collections of music memorabilia in the world. It was incredible to see so many cool items from the most influential artists and musicians of all time! Michael Jackson's Thriller jacket, Bob Marley's famous beanie, The Beatles' suits, Elvis' motorcycle and so much more! We heard displays are constantly changing so you may not always see these things, plan a visit soon! We arrived on a Saturday at 4pm and had only one hour to make it through this museum. We were on a mission! The woman at the front desk told us the best place to start was in the basement to see their most impressive displays and then work our way up by elevator. We were able to see all six floors in an hour! I definitely recommend spending more time if possible, however you can see a lot in a short amount of time. Pictures and videos are allowed. Make sure to stop at the gift shop on the way out. There are so many fun things to buy as souvenirs or gifts. Credit cards only no cash accepted. Parking was easy to find across the street. Place is awesome. Great to take family with older kids. Lots of interesting stuff.
Avoid that food truck in the front $$. Try to find street parking. Garage is insane $$. FREE for Cleveland residents. Enter gift shop at own risk.
Wear comfortable shoes! Great to get your steps in for the day.

I highly recommend stopping by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame if you’re in Cleveland! This place was filled with Rock and Roll history along with some fun interactive things to do. I would say this is good for individuals, couples or families with older children. It is a bit of walking and a lot of looking at exhibits, which a young child or baby may be tired of after 20 minutes. To truly enjoy it, I would give yourself a good two hours at minimum. The price was great for everything you get to see at only $35, and less than that for children. The staff were very friendly and the museum was clean.

All of the exhibits were excellent. From the start of rock and roll all the way through rap and hip hop. I enjoyed this museum very much. I definitely would say you can do this in less than 2 hours. I would compare it to the Grammy in LA. Tickets are a bit pricey for a museum but it was very cool to see everything. Parking is ok and not super expensive.

We totally enjoyed the R&RHoF! The garage band area and beats lab were absolutely a blast. Numerous displays and floors of music memorabilia made the 3 hours fly by. Be sure to check out the show on the 3rd floor too.
Our teenage boys particularly said that they wished we had more time there! Definitely worth checking out with reasonable parking down by the water.

This was absolutely worth the long drive across 3 states. I could spend 2 days here just soaking in all of the rich history. What I found most impactful is learning about early music history and the extensive contribution of African Americans. This is well arranged and laid out. The pace was up to my group and the Elvis portion was a must. If you love music, history, or culture then this is a place for you. Great for families although small children may not be as enthusiastic.

This museum was great! It a total of about 6 levels. There is so much history and amazing talent that is presented in this museum. Zero floor is basically the main exhibit. There are also additional floor one floor you can customize a band name logo and print your logo at no additional charge. There is also a area where you can play the guitar live with videos on how to play a couple drums sets and more! Definitely worth a visit! The staff and team members are also very friendly!

PRO TIPS: by far one of the most impressive collections of music memorabilia ever assembled. HOWEVER the museum layout for FIRST TIME VISITORS can be quite confusing. You actually enter the Hall of Fame on Level 1. Then travel paths want you to start your tour downstairs on Level 0 (which is the BASEMENT featuring the larger collection of exhibits). THEN you'll see travel paths which force you to head up to Levels 3, 4, 5, & 6, then finally down to end on level 2 with a final exit through the gift shop on Level 1 at the end of your tour. Confused? HOWEVER MY RECOMMENDED TRAVEL PATH IS (especially with large crowds OR weekend visits): Try starting out on Level 2 (take the elevator) & work your way up the pyramid to avoid the crowds. BUT always end your tour on the impressive Level 0 which is in the basement featuring the most exhibits. SAVE LEVEL ZERO FOR LAST!!!! There is actually an online exhibit guide to help plan your tour prior to arrival. Plan for 2-3 hours if you like rock music. Also lower your expectations as you will not see many artists memorabilia since exhibits rotate in/out. ALSO many artists are not in the Hall of Fame (as of this review) including Phish, B52's, Kate Bush, Weird Al, etc.

This is such a fun place to visit in Cleveland. It's in a very clean area of the city. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is fun because it gives you all the feels plus offers hands-on entertainment. My 3 year old and 15 year old had a great time, and so did my husband and I. There were turntables, guitars, drums, sound proof rooms, pinball machines etc. Truly, something for everyone.

Loved our experience here and seeing all the history of music under one roof was a great experience. They have many interactive experiences there to do as well, which made the experience interactive if you are interested in such things. Many unique and historic items related to music as as well. A must go for any music fan. Staff was friendly and areas kept very clean

Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, while famous, large, and full of music history, was not my cup of tea. While I appreciate all the hard work put into this museum, I found it confusing. The general layout wasn't clear and the signage was miniscule.
For the price of $25 pp, I think the museum was well worth it. We were there for 2 1/2 hours and believe we could have explored for a few more hours.

Awesome display of artifacts and memorabilia beginning with the onset of music history (blues, country and gospel) through rock and roll era, into pop, r&b grunge, rap, hip hop, heavy metal. Several interactive displays. In the front of the building are food trucks and 2 stages where local talent perform and you can watch for free. No parking lot so I suggest parking at the great lakes science museum garage located between museum and browns stadium. Only 13 dollars to park.

I love a good museum, and like Joan Jett I love Rock and Roll. This was absolutely the best museum I’ve been to in the US. We spent about 5 hours here and I think we saw it all. Highlights were definitely the first couple floors, but the trip to the top was still worth it. The boy minor disappointment was the movie on the third floor, which had some great highlights but was too disjointed to tell a compelling story. If you can make it while the Beatles display is still going, I’d highly recommend it. There are really great portions that will be hard to replace. I’m not from this area but will return in the future just to see what’s been added!

We went here after a work function and we had only a few hours to enjoy. I was asked a few times if I would come back. If people wanted to go I would go but it wouldn't be a repeat on my own. They had really cool displays and mini theaters to show you rock footage. They have assorted interactive booths so you can make your own band t-shirt, a music mix, and even learn how to play instruments. I thought that was very cool. Next time I need to keep an extra eye out for queen, rush, and black sabbath.

We went for the Battle Of the Bands. It was a great concert with some really good talent. We were able to walk through all the exhibits. It was very interesting. You could listen to music, and see some amazing outfits and there was even an area where you could try playing piano, guitar, bass, and drums. My 16-year-old and my 7-year-old loved it.
There were escalators for all the floors and an elevator. There were couches, benches, and tables for anyone who needed to take a break. There was a little Cafe for food and drinks. Overall I would recommend it to anyone who loves music.

Really cool place to go see. You can walk around and see music instruments, clothes, and memorabilia from different generations of musicians. They had an instrument room where you can try out different instruments and beat box studio too. Definitely recommend going to see it if you’re in the area. They also have a very large gift shop where you can pick up some cool stuff.

A unique experience every time I go! It's never the same display. So that makes it fun. Tickets are mobile entry at $30 each. Discount for seniors, kids, etc. 6 floors of activities. Food court has reasonable prices. Gift shop is gull of fun gifts at reasonable prices. Anyone can take home something! Wheelchair and stroller accessible by elevator. Staff was welcoming.

If you live in the city, it’s free. Otherwise, it’s $35..but here’s a tip: If you buy a membership for 2, you’ll pay $75. That $5 more than two tickets, plus you get a tee shirt and 10% discount in the gift shop. And it’s good for a year…take anybody you want! Always fun, I’ve seen some great exhibits and changes over the years. The Beatles exhibit was “fab!” It’s a great way to spend an afternoon and through August’22, concerts on the patio certain nights. Have fun and rock on!

This is such a cool museum! Going in you get a sense of a fun party atmosphere. Lots of music history here for fans of Rock, Blues, Metal, Hip-Hop. I paid $35 for a ticket online as I was walking towards the front entrance. I showed the person at the main door and got a wrist band after she scanned my ticket. Then she directed me to start one level lower. I highly recommend this place for music lovers.

Being a rock vocalist, it was a necessity to visit here while vacationing in Ohio. It's a cool place both inside and outside so take your time when visiting. Many of the exhibits are focused on rock & roll, of modern and classic bands and individuals as well. Pretty cool gift shop on premises as well and a lot of music history in these walls. All in all it was a great experience.

I have wanted to come here for a long time and it totally lived up to expectation! I loved the flow of exhibits bringing you around and to different floors. The history of everything was interesting to read and then getting to dive into exhibits on certain artists. Price of admission was well worth the time and spent about 2.5 hours there without seeing any of the films, so perhaps budget a full afternoon. Purchase a ticket online for easier entry

All I can say is Wow! This was a bucket list trip and soooooo worth it! What a great museum. We spent about 4-1/2 hours there and probably my favorite part was being able to pick and choose what induction clips you wanted to see of your favorite artists. The displays and the exhibits are second to none. Very well put together and I really loved the interactiveness of it all. You just have to add this as a place to go if you haven’t been. INCREDIBLE

My husband and I visited the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame during our trip to Cleveland. We conveniently parked at the metered parking across the street. There was plenty of spots available when we arrived but we could see how close parking may be challenging during high traffic visiting times or when there is a game at the nearby stadium.
Tickets were $35 a person. We had no trouble buying them at the door.
The museum has 6 floors. The bottom floor has the most to see and is the most impressive of them all. The other floors felt a bit lacking compared to this one, especially if you aren't interested in watching mini films they share throughout the museum.
On the second floor, known as The Garage, you can try your hand at playing a variety of instruments using video tutorials as a guide. This was a great interactive option to enjoy during our visit!
This is a great spot for all music lovers to enjoy while visiting the Cleveland area!

Three hours really well spent. Loved it!
Parked on the pier by the lake. Short walk and reasonable prices.
Bought ticket in advance on the dat 🎟 Arrived before out slot and no problems getting in
So much to see. Basement is biggest display area. Easy to miss something. We doubled back to make sure.
Shop has lots on offer.
Cafe has good food and drink options
Highly recommended
Mark Burgess — Google review
As the shape of the building suggests, the basement is huge and a maze containing loads of artist memorabilia throughout the ages and genres. Impressive. As you go further up, the exhibition area becomes smaller, and the items on show lesser. Some of the greatest artists of all time, like Freddy Mercury, George Michael, Iron Maiden, KISS, Smashing Pumpkins, (to name just but a few) are NOT on display unfortunately. Otherwise, a great set up with lots of interactive play and jam sessions to listen to.

If you are in Cleveland this is a must see. It's rich on history of Rock and roll and does a great job celebrating all of those indicted into their Hall of Fame as well as others important to how Rock and Roll has evolved over the years. I highly recommend you set aside a few hours to take all this in. I don't know if they have a live band every day, but there was one during our visit and you could hear them playing various covers while perusing all the great content, or just sit back and enjoy the show. Check it out!

My father and I took a trip to Cleveland for the 2024 Eclipse and needed to kill time. This place was our impromptu place to go and it was the best choice! We stayed here to look at all the treasure and history for over 4 hours! It was so cool to see the origins of rock and learn about the roots of hip hop. If you are a music enthusiast or just want to learn more about the hall of famers, I’d recommend planning to be here for at least 4 hours because I feel like I still haven’t seen everything.

We went on a Friday and got tickets for 10am right at opening. This was definitely the way to go. There was plenty of parking right by the pier and parking is not expensive at all! If you get there early you have time to stop and look and the ships and just take in the view of Lake Erie. The museum goes from Level 1-6. The first floor is the most robust and is absolutely an experience for all your senses. Each floor after that gives music-lovers an opportunity to delve into the different components or genres of the music world. Our favorite part of the experience was the celebration of 50 years of hip hop. If you grew up listening to hip hop through the 80s-00s you’ll absolutely LOVE this. The cafe actually has decent food that isn’t wildly overpriced. The whole museum is really well thought-out with little details everywhere you look. We travel to lots of museums and this is now at the top of our list!

This place was wonderful. A great nostalgic ride through rock music. Tons of exhibits, clothes, guitars, and video presentations.
Wear comfortable shoes, sit when you can.
We spent about 6 hours wandering through the exhibits.
The Beatles exhibit was hard to hear with so many other musical displays going on.
Some of the immersive theater presentations were a bit loud. Some ear plugs would have been nice.
Pro tip. You don't have to print paper tickets if you can present the PDF scan code on your phone.

I was disappointed, not for lack of memorabilia or interesting displays, but with the organization of how to make your way through the museum. We were told, "Start on the bottom level & work your way up." Sounded like a fair instruction, but not so. On the bottom level, there is a ton of stuff with no indication of direction or flow. Our group split up due to the crowd, & some of us saw things that others didn't see because there are alcoves & short halls. We spend 3 1/2 hours there, but you could easily spend more time there as there is a massive amount to see.

We stopped in to check out the Rock and Ro Hall of Fame on a Friday around noon. I ordered our tickets online before entering ( which made the entry faster) if you can do this it won't be a big deal to get tickets at the gate. We parked on the pier. This made finding and paying for parking super easy. The pier parking behind the building to the right upon entering, just drive past the building and you will see the parking. Once inside we started on the 1st floor and worked our way up them all. So many cool things to look at and activities to do I recommend at least 3-4 hrs to explore on a not busy day. Highly recommend the induction experience on the 3d floor. My favorite part... well I can't pick just one part. The Pink Floyd installation definitely the most interesting design. The tour ends in the merchandise store, so save that for last. Everything was reasonably priced. We picked up 4 shirts for the family on sale for $45.00 cool dollars.

Very cool place. We’re not usually the museum type people but we enjoyed the rock and roll hall of fame because they have an interactive floor where you could actually learn to play all kinds of instruments like the acoustic guitar, electric/ base , piano and even drums… they have easy lessons to follow with various songs to choose from.
West Side Market is a vibrant and bustling public market in Cleveland, established in 1912. It is the city's oldest market and offers a wide range of fresh food options. With over 100 vendors, visitors can find an array of meats, seafood, fruits, vegetables, baked goods, dairy products, flowers, ready-to-eat foods, spices, and nuts. Exploring this historic market is a delightful way to spend an afternoon.
Visiting Cleveland on holiday and decided to check out the West Side Market. This place was great with wide variety of fresh seafood, bakeries, meat, produce, cheese just to name a few. You can pick up a coffee but it more a fresh market than eating. There is a little cafe which was very busy. The building is really cool and a great space. Make sure you climb the stairs a one end for a great view. Definitely worth checking out.

Worth visiting! Very cool location with a fun atmosphere. We loved most everything we got. Especially all the items we got from the various bakery’s! Unfortunately, most of the produce we bought was old. Our garlic was sprouted, once I got home and cut into it, and the ginger molded with in a day. Neat experience, but I wasn’t super impressed.

We stopped here because everyone said it was one of the places you HAD to see. The parking is limited but if you arrive early you should be fine. The first 90 minutes are free to park. The fruit and produce area was pretty small. The main area had the bakeries, meat counters, and international products. We got a chicken pasty at the Irish deli, and it was really good. If you have the time, you can find the best prices.

A former train station turned into a market full of local vendors slinging meats and sweets.
After your drive over the Hope Memorial Bridge, you turn right into the parking lot. The first 90 minutes are free and it’s only $1/hour after that. A welcome surprise.
You’ll first walk into the produce building with vendors selling their tantalizing fruits and hearty vegetables. Once you make it halfway down the corridor, you will see doors to your left to crossover to the rest of the market.
Walking in through the double doors, you are greeted by intoxicating aromas. Look up and you will see the beautiful, high ceiling of the former train station. The place is absolutely packed with local meats and sweets. Many of the vendors sell raw meat and fish for your home cooking needs, while the rest provide ready to order snacks and meals.
Stalls that caught our eye: local pasta, crepes, hot sauce, cannolis, gyro stand and an Irish bakery. We split up and grabbed a gyro from Steven’s Gyros (featured on Man versus Food) and a sausage roll and meat pie from the Irish bakery. There aren’t many places to sit, but if you go to the west end, you can head up the stairs and get a great view of the market. We stuffed our faces, got a picture and then headed down to grab snacks for the rest of the weekend. We loaded up on local cheese, flavored beef jerky, hot sauce and baked goods. All of which were sensational.

This was genuinely one of the nicest markets I’ve ever been to! Very good prices on a huge variety of specialty and regular items. The produce looked almost too good to be real. A last stop before headed home on a weekend trip was perfect to bring home a lot of goodies. Delicious cannolis and pepperoni bread from Theresa’s bakery, perfect scratch made pasta from Ohio city pasta, home made beef jerky and more!! I’m considering making the trip from Pittsburgh more often just to stop here again!

This place was really cool! Lots of vendors and I loved the fresh market. I wish we had something like this in Columbus with the same produce selection! The downside is that if you’re vegetarian there isn’t really anywhere to have lunch on site. That would have really made it.
Also there are full animal carcasses on display so if you are squeamish or cannot handle that I wouldn’t recommend

Nice Marketplace! A good variety of food, especially meat products. Prices for vegetables are a little higher (and not better quality) than in a grocery store. I think shopping in the vegetable section isnt worthwhile, but for meat, cheese, or specialty food items it is great--there the price and quality is much better! Also, Rita's is the best place for anyone looking for olives! You should also try the brats from Frank's!

Enjoyed the West Side market. Haven't been here in years. Everything in the area is so different but I'm glad that this lil gem is still there and hope that more local vendors continue the tradition. Prices were competitive. Some vendors allow you to even try some of the fruits. Like the fact that you can select the specific pieces of meats you want to purchase. Would go again.

MAKE SURE you go to the covered meat and cheese market! Delicious cheese. Try the truffle goat cheese from one of the vendors! We bought Amish smoked pepper, jack cheese, cheddar and blue cheese cake, Horseradish cheese etc.
Fruit and vegetable stalls outside also covered. Free parking 90 minutes. $1 after that after that.

Great market!! Lots of selections of fruit 🍓🍑 and veggies 🥕🥗. Plenty of vendors with meat and cheese, bakeries 🥯 with amazing fresh bread 🍞 and sweets 🍭. We stopped at the Gyro place, far left corner of the market, and enjoyed the most delicious, large gyro! Wow the house tzatziki sauce was so good! Makes you want to bottle it up and bring it home. So good. We got the regular size Gyro and it was big. We ended up having lunch again the next day with the leftovers. All the produce looked fresh, we got some local strawberries 🍓🍑. Great selection of cheese and meat. Hard to decide what to get when it all looks so good. Would recommend going there. If you are staying in the area for a few days (that's what we did) and get your food here.

We try to go here whenever we are in Cleveland (we live 2 hrs away). There is so much good food here. It's always easy to find something new and unique. As an Englishman, my favorite vendor is Reilly's. They have great Irish pies, pasties and sausage rolls. Plus their scones are spot on.

The West Side Market is well known for a reason: Fresh meat, fresh bread and bakery goods and fresh specialty foods--all in one National Register of Historical Places landmark. There, you can find fresh Hungarian Kielbasa not far from fresh baked French bread that's next to an herb stand. Try the kolatchkes--small Hungarian pastries filled with fruit or nuts. No pictures are available because they were promptly devoured. Cleveland West Side Market is great for a day trip. Highly recommended.

This was a really fun market to explore! There are so many shops to visit with plenty of ready to eat and "make at home" or grocery options. We enjoyed getting crepes, donuts, and a scotch egg, but if we visit again there would be so many more things to try. We were just passing through so we didn't grab meet or other to cook ingredients, but everything looked delicious. The building was beautiful as well.

I stopped by the West Side Market over Easter weekend with my family while visiting the Cleveland area. The market has been on my list of places to visit and it did not disappoint! Parking is free for 90 minutes or less and $1/hour after that, with a max fee of $10/day. Most vendors accept credit cards, but some charge additional fees to do so.
Being a holiday weekend the market was in full swing and very busy! If you have small children, I would not recommend bringing strollers/wagons. The fresh produce selection was excellent and everything tasted so good! Lots of produce stands give out samples. If I was local, I would love to shop the produce regularly!
We purchased macarons, cannolis, apple fritters, Italian rainbow cookies, brats, snack sticks, breads, pink glow pineapple, fresh herbs, and artichokes. I highly recommend going if in the area and hope to visit again soon!

It’s not bad for what it is; it’s a casino in the heart of the one and only Cleveland. I go here every now and then as I do enjoy gambling a bit. The casino itself is huge inside with several floors. It’s relatively clean for the most part and quite pleasing to the eye. I like going because they offer a buffet in the basement floor that I always get free coupons for, so that’s always a nice addition. I don’t think the food is anything super crazy or world renowned, but it’s good for when you have a free coupon. Their drinks at the bars though always seem to be hit or miss; some bartenders make it perfectly, and other bartenders just miss it awfully. That’s obviously not a make or break point though. 4/5 for a casino. I like going here.

It seems everyone I sat next to all said the same thing. Why does MGM pay so well and Jack does not. They are closer to Jack where they live, but are now willing to drive further to win. Oh, we all win something, but not for what we spend. The food in the buffet at Jack is never the same twice. The only thing that is the same is the fried chicken. It is always over fried and you can't eat it. What a waste of money. Why feed us food we can't eat. The salad bar has a wonderful selection. However it is nasty most of the time. Especially the salad dressing. People slop it all over, and no one cleans it up. Soup is good. Granted, we are the ones who slop it up, Sorry. I just don't like eating food where the food area is nasty.

This was our first trip here. The gaming experience was actually pretty good! It did let us play enjoyably for about an hour without just taking our money like most other casinos tend to do. However, the 4 stars were deducted because, not being familiar with the area, we found the first entrance to the parking garage and did not realize it was the "flat rate parking" that costs $60 regardless of how long you stay. SERIOUSLY? $60?? We were there for an hour and 10 minutes! There should definitely be some prominent signage specifying that it's flat-rate ($60) parking. Not only did we toss away money while gaming, but the parking also hit us pretty hard. Definitely won't recommend the parking garage!!

Jack Casino has great restaurants, including a fantastic buffet. They have roulette tables, craps tables, poker tables and lots of different slot machines. The facility is extremely clean, glitzy and flashy. It is really just like a Vegas casino. There are multiple levels too. They have a covered walkway that goes over the streets and leads directly into their parking garage. Their gift shop, which is called the Swag Shop is also in the same building as the parking garage. Years ago, the building was previously home to the Higbee Department store. The decor is very high end and tastefully done. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. They do a wonderful job. Well done.

I'm a senior. My friends and I thought the buffet was $5,55 if we validated our players card. We waited in line for 30 minutes to find out that information. To validate we would have to get out of line, so we paid $20.00 each. Paid $60.00 to get out the garage. Same reason, we didn't validate. I will not be going back. The casino's vibrant atmosphere and friendly staff created a welcoming environment that added to the overall experience. I particularly appreciated the professional and attentive service from the staff members, which made my time there even more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend Jack Cleveland Casino to anyone looking for a fun and memorable gaming experience.

I was in town from Atlanta to attend the Alpha Derby at the Browns Stadium and the after party was at Jack's. I haven't had so much fun, and to see my college brothers and sisters was Amazing! We came from all over the country to attend this event. Ya'll even fed us some awesome food, thanks I'll be back.

The most gorgeous casino I’ve ever been to. Glad everything isn’t card- or phone-based and can still insert cash directly into the machines. I love just taking $40 and playing slots and/or roulette and then, heading home having lost $40 or having won a bit.

Had a great time today! My boyfriend and I were in town for a show at Playhouse Square, took the Red Line in. Asked the wonderful woman (around 12PM today) at the door for some directions. Not only did she point us in the right direction, but we had a truly great conversation with her and talked a little about the history of the city!! Awesome lady!!

Jack Casino in Cleveland off the Public Square is affiliated with Ceasars. It’s a smaller casino but it has all the latest versions of the popular games to play. Staff is friendly and helpful. Fun to try your luck a little while you’re in town.

Nice sports bar and gaming area. The buffet downstairs is really overpriced. There is a big selection and most of the food quality is average. The danish selection was very good and the chocolate croissants were very good. Now the Asian selection was a crime against humanity. I am not sure I have ever seen a worse selection or quality.

This place was amazing! First time I've ever been in a casino like this the buffet even with going 30 mins before they closed there was still plenty of delicious food! Every staff member I encountered was kind and courteous. Will definitely recommend anyone stop and check put this super cool casino.

Casino is clean. Bathrooms are clean. Machines are super tight. Forgot why we stopped going. Good reminder for next time we start thinking we want to hit Jack's. Go knowing you aren't going to win. Sit with someone you like and at least you'll have some fun!

I'm not a gambler; I went to the MGM Northfield Center Stage to see Gary Clark, Jr. - AMAZING concert with an unforgettable performance from him! I was able to grab great seats for this event and it was money well spent. The staff was very organized and helpful and the stage itself allowed for great first/second row visibility without too much neck strain or discomfort.
The ONLY reason why I can't give it five stars is because of the seat spacing: we were packed in there like sardines. Even though the seats themselves were comfortable the neighboring concertgoers and myself all had to shift ourselves a bit too often to accommodate for the lack of space.

That being said I had a wonderful stop here and enjoyed myself for a little longer than I expected.
Lots of machines, new and old. Came in with $300 left with $1200 hitting my biggest single win to date.
once I doubled my bank roll the high limits room was where the money was at that morning. Guy across from me hit like 4 hand pays in the hour I was in high limit room

Went to see Tom Jones Concert. Seats are basically folding chairs and somewhat narrow. They do not control the crowd as we had lots of people up and down the aisle throughout the performance. The casino area is small but definitely has lots of tables and slots.

Loved it this time I won. Lol but in all truthfulness was clean but they don't have many of the keno machines we like I feel you should have the choice to play 1-4 on every machine or at least all the keno on one machine, so I don't have to try and hop around to try and find a machine to my liking.

Always a fun place to gamble. This casino does NOT have card tables, just slots. Has a couple restaurants, a bar, and complimentary coffee and soda. Plenty of parking, the parking lot is lit up pretty good at night. As always casinos are designed to take your money, but you do get lucky once in a while.

Concert/event venue located directly inside of the casino. Purchased last minute tickets to a concert I really wanted to see. This was our first time at this venue. The security and staff directed the crowd through the various site safety measures with ease. There really was not a bad seat in the house. Here are some pics from our seating - section 2 row X. Seats were a little tight and you will certainly make friends with a neighbor pretty quickly. Lots of getting up and sitting down. Narrow isles. Alcohol, water and typical concert snacks were available. Free parking.

Enormous, year-round sandy beach, the largest in Ohio, popular with picnickers & swimmers.
This is an expansive park with a deep beachfront. There are many picnic tables and restrooms. Left of the entrance, is where most of the beach access is, along with several parking areas. This place was built with large crowds in mind. If you venture to the right and head to the end, you'll reach a large tree filled grass part of the park. Toward the beach and still to the right, is a sandy trail that leads to the beach. There is also a cove on the other side of the stone barrier, where boats can pull into. Along the trail, you can head to the left on an adjoining trail. We've seen large sand sculptures in the summer and there seem to be activities throughout that time of year. Every time we go, its a different adventure. Bear and Cosmo have been enjoying this place for many years, as well as us. 🏖🏞

Headlands is my hometown beach. It’s a beautiful location and for the most part a lot of really nice people frequent this beach. One of the things that are a must see is the yearly sand sculptures contest. They stand for sometimes months after being built. It’s one of the coolest things to see up close and the artists are free to create whatever they like. One year there was a giant baby Trump. Definitely put it in your summer plans to see them if you can!
The sand is meh… somewhat dirty… very harsh on your feet. Nothing like a nice Florida beach, that’s for sure but we are definitely blessed to have this one in our back yard none the less.

I enjoyed a lovely few hours at The Eastern side of the Headlands Beach park in early September, a few days ago. We checked out both sides of the park, the western "big beach" and the eastern protected dunes/marsh. Had a picnic in the shade of the beautiful cottonwood trees before going out on the boardwalk to get to the sand. It was a longer walk than I expected for me with my walker, but a nice stroll for most people. I so wanted to take the right hand path to the lighthouse, but it's like a deer trail. Not for someone needing wheels! The beach was nice, but the deck with the binoculars no longer has it's overhead structure. I don't know why they took it down. Again beautiful day, and fun to watch families playing at the beach.
After talking to some other visitors, we checked out the western main beachy area to see the three sand sculptures from the sand castle building contest beck in August. It's amazing they are still there. There is a blue tarp runway out towards the water for easier walking (or walkers line mine) but I didn't go all the way out. Looking forward to going back. I feel lucky to live near such a great beach and lake.

Very nice beach and picnic area.
We returned on Good Friday 2022. A windy, dry and cloudy day. The Veach facilities are still closed for the season. The permanent bathrooms are all locked. Beach management has set out a few porta-potties in the parking lots for off-season comfort breaks/call of nature requirements.
Nice day to visit the beach and collect stones and polished glass washed up over the winter. One hardy fellow was out in the waves kite-sailing.
All-in-all a great day at the beach. No sunbathing yet.

I loved the walkway to the beach! The sans castles where still up which is impressive! This beach has sand and lovely areas to eat in the shade. It is a long walk to the beach so be prepared but the water is blue and the sand is pretty so if squint it almost looks like you're somewhere else. I enjoyed this beach. I'll be back

Great park. Nice size beach. Plenty of space to set up on the shore. Many picnic tables.
There are really two main areas. The bird rehab area and the public beach area. Dogs are not allowed on the beach. Mainly due to the bird area.
There is a playground closer to the entrance.
Water normally is pretty warm by late July. You do need to watch the waves and watch out for rip currents.
Restrooms are fairly clean for being at the beach. Toilets flush.

We visited the Headlands Beach, State Park which is located on the shores of Lake Erie just East of Cleveland near Mentor, Ohio. It is the longest natural beach in the state and is the widest beach I've ever visited on Lake Erie. This beautiful sand and rock beach is adjacent to the Headlands Dunes State Nature Preserve and offers great views of the lake and Fairport Harbor West Breakwater Light. There is plenty of parking in the expansive parking lot with restroom / shower facilities. A great place to spend an afternoon on the beach, picnicking or hiking one of the numerous trails.

Why would you close the beach to the public?!! Tax payers deserve the right to be on that beach any day or time! Closing it cause you think it will get trashed makes the entire purpose useless!! Also there is enough money in the community and tax that you could hire a park service clean up if so!! It’s not that difficult to allow the public to enjoy their public beach!!!

It's a nice, big beach and I was looking forward to picking up some treasures. Unfortunately, water quality was POOR the day we visited and I could not take the chance on being exposed to bacteria. Happy to be able to get pictures in any case.
Hiking, fishing, picnics, swimming & boating on a shoreline expanse with camping, cabins & a lodge.
Very nice and a great beach with sand. Restroom near beach and nice paved parking lot. Close to a Summer resort by 1 mile. Lots to do and cabin lodges. Also many wineries in area and 18 covered bridges.

This is a fantastic park. The sites are ok spaced, so there is some privacy. We were in a shady area therefore we had minimal AC usage. There is a paved trail from the campground all the way to Geneva on the Lake. We were able to bike and walk this path easily. The beach area is only 1 easy mile from the campground. We saw a truly awesome sunset at the beach and were able to walk back to the campground before it got dark.
We did not swim, but lots of other people were in the water. There is a sign posted about bacteria in the water and could be dangerous to some people.
The bathrooms we visited were clean and always had paper. We did not use the showers as we had hookups so used our own. There is a store here at the checkout gate with the usual camp basics and snacks. The beach is the main attraction here, so there were no other amenities. If you visit be sure to check out the Whip-n-Dip in town. They have phenomenal ice cream treats.

A very large state park located along Lake Erie. Geneva State Park has something for everyone!
Located within the state park is a large beach, campground, cabins, archery range, marina, large picnic area, hiking trails, bike path, and even a resort!
The resort takes up most of the lakefront, but there are plenty of benches and tables along the shore where you can sit and enjoy the sunset. The area around the resort is open to the public.
Located next to the state park is Geneva on the Lake. You can easily walk or bike to the town to grab a meal or some drinks while visiting the park.

Horse racetrack for harness racing & casino for live bets, table games, poker rooms, slots & dining.
The Hollywood Casino is newly remodeled and they did a great job. There is a large bar now located in the center of the food court that is first class. All the food is good and they have a very good mix of slots and table games. And the added bonus, the have the horse races. The races are always fun. If it's been a while since you have been there it's worth going for another look.

Have not been there since pandemic started in 2019. Was very disappointed at the cleanliness. Trash between slot machines. Ladies restroom smelled. No one cleaning machines after people left the machine they were playing. Very disappointed at the food gallery. Pizza was cold and poor selection at other areas offering food. Employees were standing around talking to each other and a lot were on their phones. Was not greeted upon entry to casino. They were to involved in their own conversations. No one smiling.
They need to go to Live Casino In Greensburg and see how things should be done. Clean, friendly, happy employees engaging with customers to be sure their experience at the Casino is top notch.

Hollywood Casino at The Meadows is about 25 miles outside of Pittsburgh and has a variety of slot machines, table games, and a harness racing track. The casino also has a selection of dining options, a hotel & spa and a full schedule of events and concerts throughout the year.
I noticed the reviews were mixed (before my first visit) and can certainly see why, after my second visit. We did notice a large variety of slots (though many were older) and a good number of table games for the size. However, as many mentioned, the decor is dated & boring. With the exception of the Barstool games area, there's not much to give you a sense of fun or joy. The staff I've encountered have been either helpful and friendly or quite the opposite, especially the bar staff.
Overall, Hollywood Casino at The Meadows is an average casino. It is not the best casino in Pennsylvania, not the worst either. If you are looking for a place to gamble, see a cover band or just have some fun, it is definitely one of the better suited options in the area.

Something has changed with slot payouts recently (starting January 2023). Used to be that we’d play and get wins and could play for hours which was entertaining even though we’d go home with nothing. Now we play and run out of money immediately. Bonus games won are typically very small wins. Also, everyone around us has been losing. No excitement. We were there with friends last night and they had free slot play drawings. The winners who were chosen (5 per hour) were winning $200 to $300 in free slot play. They used to have drawings giving out $500 to $1,000. Also, if the winner didn’t show up in time, they wouldn’t call out additional names. I know the casino needs to make money but they’ve definitely lowered the RTP in slots. Other than what’s been happening recently, the entire casino is awesome. Employees are nice too. Picture is a win from December 2022 when slots were paying out more often.

Very nice casino. The sky walk connection to the Hyatt hotel to the parking garage is nice. A little much to walk through in the parking garage to get to the casino if you are parked in the hotel area side, but it's nice because it's enclosed. The casino floor is huge. We visited on a Wednesday night and it was pretty empty. However on Friday after checkout I stopped over and played some slots and it was filling up pretty quickly around noon time. The staff was very friendly and the host that was on shift on Wednesday was even able to get us a nice compted meal at the Club Elite & Owners Lounge. The meal was great and the alcoholic drinks were strong and a decent price. I checked out the poker room and it was smaller, but layout was nice and there is a cage right there which is always a plus. Definitely a spot we will be stopping at and hopefully also staying at the next time we are in the Pittsburgh area.

We couldn't get into an RV park on that day, so found this place to boondock. It was FABULOUS. HUGE RV/TRUCK lot to park in. Beautiful views, and you walk across the top of parking garage, take elevator down and then into the casino. And the Casino is super nice, as are the staff! We were about to leave and had some doggy poopoo in a bag and not sure what to do, since we couldn't find the dumpster. A staff person in a golf cart was driving by said to just throw it in his trash can on the cart. The boys liked it too!

Good assortment of machines, not really too busy and help comes somewhat quickly. My main issue with this place is there are no free drinks for active slot players unless you're a part of their membership program and you're level 4 (whatever that means). Every casino from the several states I've been to has offered free drinks to anyone playing at slots.

Had fun. However, not from the slots. Did “pretty”good on one game only. Played many slots, 88 cent bet / bonus produced 1.30. A lot of old games, that were fun back in the day, but didn’t pay well. Enjoyed the game area with cornhole, hockey and giant jenga. Nice to have options to stay and hang out. Drinks were pretty weak and expensive. One small bar in the back and a larger one (non smoking) with sports betting. 1/2 of casino was smoking.

Ride the cable car At Duquesne Incline and see the best views of downtown Pittsburgh
So whenever you see pictures of Pittsburgh, I am sure you are looking it downtown with and cable car in the foreground. it is easily one of the best things to do in Pittsburgh.
From the cars, there are great views out over the city. Once used to transport workers all the way back since the 1800s. they are still using two original 1877 cable cars, the Duquesne Incline is a working museum, with the upper station providing photos and displays on the history of the incline. at the top, you can also see the working mechanism, wheel, and all.
I don't know if it is the norm, but there was a guide in our cabin and he gave a brief idea about incline history, and how it come into the picture. Duquesne Incline was rescued and restored by a group of local residents in 1963 and still delights residents and visitors with its original, elegant, wooden cable cars
Parking: $10 and that's valid for 24 hours. Parking is more expensive than tickets which are just $5. You don't pay at the counter, you put the exact amount in a cylindrical box (nobody checks what you are putting in the container). a counter lady comes in a while and shoves it with a stick. i have never seen a system like this.
if you want to experience a slice of the city’s long history, go for it.

Very beautiful and historic place. The incline has been running since the 1800's. Its been a must see location in Pittsburgh for many years. My son and I went for our 1st but not last visit. The views of the city are spectacular. Many different ways to get great photos. On the cable car and at the top on the observation deck. At the top there are lots of exhibits that outline some of the history of the incline and cars. It also depicts interesting history of Pittsburgh. It is so cheap that a family could afford this fun and educational excursion. Ill definately be back with more of my family. Take cash and exact change. A round trip for 2 adults is $10. They are friendly and nice enough to let you go ahead and ride. You can get change at the top. Either from the gift shop or an ATM.

whoa! this is such a unique experience. Its definitely the more historic-feeling of the 2 inclines. Both inclines are wonderful but I love the vintage nuance of Duquesne. Just keep it functional and absolutely preserve the wabi sabi aesthetic pls Pittsburgh, otherwise don't change anything - its beautiful! thx

PNC Park, the home of the Pittsburgh Pirates baseball team, is a classic stadium with beautiful architecture and a large fan base. The stadium has hosted all sorts of events, from major league baseball games to concerts. The views of the city are wonderful and the food at some of the restaurants nearby is great.
Great place, great view. Recommend to attend a game here. Huge parking lot available around, relatively cheaper rates starting 8$. Will recommend to come early for the game and enjoy the snack bar and drinks, and you might also get a chance to have game ball when teams are practicing. Escalator available to go up the levels and merchandise store are also present around entrance.

Absolutely stunning park. Gorgeous backdrop of the famous and jaw dropping Pittsburgh Skyline full with Yellow Bridges and all. Decent atmosphere at game, fans were slow to start, however as the game progressed, the game became more and more exciting. The two teams, (Hometown Pirates, and the Visiting Atlanta Braves) delivered a great performance coming down to the wire in the 9th inning. Would 100% recommend for the view alone. The baseball is an added bonus.

I was asked what I wanted to do for my birthday a couple of months ago. My answer was go to a Pirates game or Mexico. I was thrilled when my birthday came and my love sent me a picture of my Pirate ticket. We arrived and parked with no problem in parking lot 2 gold walked to a little bar outside the park and had a cold beverage while waiting to get in the park. The staff checking all of the fans in were pleasant, polite and helpful. The selection and ease of purchasing snacks and beverages was one of the great parts of my experience as I did not miss but a few moments of the game while using the facilities. Section 119 row DD seat 1 and 2 is where we sat I loved the crow and would sit in that section again. In reality I would love to attend as many home games as there are but will most likely make it a yearly tradition to get a game around my birthday again. This was the most fun I have had as a birthday adventure in years.

PNC is always a great venue, whether for a Pirates game or concert. Seats are tapered nicely to give everybody a good view. Everything is pretty clean and the food is good. Minus one star for prices. They gouge pretty deep for beers and mixed drinks. Otherwise a great establishment.

Not the first time I've been to PNC Park. Always a great experience. Great park, awesome view, friendly staff. Tickets for where we sat were a great value, talking bucket list kind of stuff, for a decent price. Being an Orioles fan, I'm used to a great stadium. I'm biased as OPACY is the best but you'll never go wrong here! Only downfall is the price of concessions but what was offered was an amazing selection. I'll be back many times and I urge everyone to take in a game here!

We went to a Dodger/Pirates game and it was a great experience. I took a 22 year old and a 2 yo. The park was clean, Well staffed, and easy to get around. I felt very safe the entire time. Staff was awesome about upgrading our seats - I was worried the 2yo would fall as we were pretty high up. However the upper deck seats were beautiful with a view of the game and the city.
People around us were also there just to have a good time. Food and drinks were a bit pricey, but that's to be expected and way cheaper than back in the bay area.
There are a lot of cheap parking options well within walking distance.
Loved all the little restaurants and pubs with open and outdoor seating right outside the park piping the game through speakers.
Pittsburgh deserves a better reputation!

After growing up here and having season tickets for years to Three Rivers then moving away, this was my first trip to either new stadium. It is fantastic. There really isn’t a bad seat in the place and would definitely go back and purchase a standing room only seat and just wander. Easy in and out from all gates, good food.

Club seats are the best! If you are thinking of going to a Pirate game, spend the extra money and get club seats. The seats are padded and the environment is fantastic. It is worth every penny. First, the crowds are much smaller in the club seating area. There are short lines for food, and the food choices are great. Second, the restrooms are clean, much cleaner than the normal restrooms. It has a clubhouse atmosphere and it is all air conditioned inside. We sat in Section 209, row A seats 1 and 2 and they were great. We had a fantastic view of the game, and went it when we needed a break from the heat. There were no rowdy crowds, and you can get a table inside and watch the game for a bit while you are eating, or taking a break from the sun. I think the best part about the club seating is that the seats are padded. You can sit, watch the game, and never get uncomfortable. It was a great experience and one of the best ways to beat the crowds and to have good amenities. The tickets are a bit more, but you will have a great experience.

Awesome ball park and atmosphere! Even though the team itself is not very good, the stadium gets a solid crowd of dedicated fans.
There is a lot of places to eat and drink at, especially Manny’s BBQ owned by Pirates legend Manny Sanguillan. Sometimes you can even meet Manny in front of his place for a picture and an autograph!
Everyone that works at the stadium that I interacted with was extremely friendly. The man at the ticket window even took his time to look for an aisle seat for me!
They also have a lot of activities for kids on the first level, including a big playground overlooking the River.
I purchased tickets the day of game at the ticket window.
There are a few parking decks around. Many hobos begging for change line the walk to the stadium.
All around a modern and awesome stadium and a fun place to watch a ball game!
Hope this helps! Happy Travels!

I recently had the pleasure of attending a Pittsburgh Pirates game at PNC Park and must say that it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I walked through the gates, I was struck by the stunning views of the city skyline and the river. The stadium itself is clean, modern, and designed with the fan in mind.
I was pleased with the amenities available, including a variety of concession stands, comfortable seating, and a great selection of merchandise. The atmosphere was electric, with passionate fans cheering on their team and the staff doing an excellent job of keeping everyone engaged.
The game itself was intense, with both teams putting on a great show. The Pirates put up a good fight but ultimately lost to their opponents. Despite this, I had an absolutely amazing time and would highly recommend attending a game at PNC Park to anyone who loves baseball or wants to experience the excitement of a top-notch stadium.

A beautiful day for baseball. Parked at Ft. Duquesne deck and walked across Clemente Bridge into the ballpark. Great sight lines. Other than Primanti Bros. the food was average. Bathrooms are kind of hidden.

My visit to PNC Park was enjoyable! The park & restrooms were very clean. The park staff were very engaging. Entering and leaving the stadium was a breeze. We were able to find convenient parking nearby for a reasonable price. THEN we walked to the casino for dinner, which wasn't a far walk at all! There are plenty of other dining options around the park as well as other activities if you are looking to make a full day of it! We are fortnate to have such great sports teams in Pittsburgh & wonderful venues to enjoy them in!

Absolutely beautiful ball park. The atmosphere is great and the view overlooking the downtown is incredible. Is definitely one of top 3 ballparks in the states. I would recommend any baseball fan to come visit. The game was followed by a 30 minute firework display that rivals Canada Day or 4th of July celebrations

The Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens is a world-renowned conservatory that was founded in 1893. The botanical garden features gardens of all types, including floral displays, tropical plants, and a greenhouse.
There will never be enough times you can visit this beautiful and unique place.
You can really take your time and self-tour so many different exhibits throughout the building.
What’s even more incredible is the dedication that is readily apparent throughout each room. You can clearly tell that much thought and effort has been put into making this as beautiful as it is.
100% recommend for a therapeutic, relaxing and fun time.

Very beautiful and large place, mainly indoors but I would recommend going on a nicer day so you can get the full experience of the outer section as well. If you’re a plant lover, you will absolutely love this place. There’s a lot selection of plants and trees. There were little signs that have information about what you were looking about, and fun facts about them. During our visit there were a lot of exhibits that were closed because they were working on them. The first look inside was breath taking. If you’re visiting Pittsburgh you definitely have to visit this spot !

Incredibly charmed. The many many gorgeous plants! The impressively dedicated sustainability-inspired fashion show! The lovely green-haired lady celebrating her wedding in a flower crown! The small children running about delightedly in the garden! The happy bees! The cute little environmentalist health food cafe! Overall so impressed by how much this obviously felt like a labor of love by the people who built it and who continue to maintain it. Highly recommend.

Amazing!! Went here with a friend and had such a great time! We were there when the Billy Porter display was up and it was not only beautiful but so interesting as well! Even if that display is gone, I don’t doubt that any other display they put up will be just as good! The conservatory itself was beautiful too. There were so many different rooms like a desert room and a fruit and spice room. The Japanese Garden is an absolute must see and if you want some amazing vacation photos, this is the place!

I look forward to seeing this again. I think it will be worth a visit in any season.

What a wonderful place! The floral displays are outstanding and I never miss their seasonal shows for Spring, Summer, Fall and Christmas/Winter! They also often have an amazing train display for the winter season. Parking on the "Island" in front of the Conservatory on Schenley Drive is free... and on Sundays all street parking is also free. Their cafe also offers good options for lunch or a snack or beverage. I highly recommend a visit here if you are touring around Pittsburgh.

Stunning displays right now of a collaboration with Billy Porter! The majority of the gardens Is all indoor domes, the orchid area was my favorite! Definitely need at minimum an hour, but recommend planning for two if you want to feel encapsulated and go through everything. The restaurant has nice options as does the gift shop albeit being on the pricey side. We saw a wedding taking place there, lovely venue for that!

Beautiful. The winter wonder light show was amazing. It was pouring down rain when we went and it was still amazing! Had to purchase tickets in advance as they only allow so many at a time. It flowed so nicely. You had enough time to enjoy and look at things without being surrounded by people. We also went on a Tuesday evening though! Will definitely return next year!

Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens proved to be a captivating retreat immersed in the allure of nature’s beauty. The curated plant displays and thoughtfully crafted gardens offered a serene escape from the everyday. A standout moment was the mesmerizing Tropical Forest Conservatory, where I felt transported into a lush rainforest realm.
One delightful surprise was the showcase of Billy Porter’s fashion, adding an artistic and fashionable dimension to the garden’s appeal. The emphasis on sustainability and educational initiatives further enriched the experience, making it a must-visit for both nature enthusiasts and seekers of serene tranquility.

We went here around Christmas time and they had every room dressed to the nines for the holidays. It was absolutely beautiful! I recommend buying tickets ahead of time just to be sure you'll get in, buy we bought ours at the window in the lobby when we entered. Every room of the garden was more gorgeous and breath taking than the last. They even had a room full of miniature train scenes of Pittsburgh. The gift shop in the lobby was also really cute, with lots of little treasures to remember your visit. I would definitely recommend Phipps Conservatory and Gardens for all ages!

Anytime of year, Phipps is a must visit. Their Christmas show has an amazing light display. The Spring and Fall shows are amazing and there is always something blooming. Don’t forget to look high and low, always love spotting a bunch of bananas.
Whether you live in the Burgh or are just in town, Phipps is a must stop! Advanced tickets are not a bad idea but unless it’s the Christmas show, generally not needed.

Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens is located in vast area of 15 Acres. It was built in 1893 The same was added to National Register of Historical Places in 1976. The theme of the tropical conservatory will change once in three years. Presently Hawaii theme is there. There are different parts of the conservatory called 1. Palm Court having different types of palm trees 2. Serpentine Room in which the exhibit plants change with the season 3. Fern Room in which many kinds of ferns and cycads 4. Orchid Room which has many kinds of orchids 5. South Conservatory which has seasonal flower shows 6. Tropical Forest Conservatory has waterfalls, fish pond etc. It takes one to two hours to visit entire area.

Came for the Christmas lights and they do an excellent job.
Really beautiful place to get in the spirit of the holidays.
I will knock of one star because this place gets more crowded than Disneyland. Seriously, there are parts, where you are essentially in one long line, body to body, throughout a few of the sections.
Overall though, would still suggest it.

There are plenty of campgrounds as well as picnic areas to eat at while still being able to keep an eye on the little ones since the water isn't too deep. There is also white water rafting which once a year they allow you to go off the falls. A truly unique experience. All in all its a GREAT state park!.

I love me some Ohiopyle State Park. I've only been twice, at this point, but both times were great. Also a nice tip of the water bottle to the visitor center for having clean bathrooms, great staff, and a welcoming environment.
You can go to this state park and enjoy the area around the visitor center as a woodsy town visit, or you can go deep into the woods and everything in between. Plus, having water activities available (haven't done any of those yet, here but looks like fun!).
If you haven't gone, take the day, go. Wander. Plan to come back.

Great state park! The Yurts are amazing! Plenty of room, clean, 4 burner stove, electrical outlets, and a refrigerator at a very low price!
There's a bath house near the yurts with hot water, showers, and a roomy two sided sink for doing dishes.
The bath houses are not the same. Check out the one closest to the garbage dumpsters and recycling area. That has nicer showers.
There are some nice trails around the campground too. You hike into Ohiopyle if you want.

This is another family favorite! The waterfall is breathtaking! There are many quaint shops and restaurants! In the summer, people slide down smooth rocks in a safe area of the river! The more adventurous book a raft or kayak excursion. The bicycle trail is perfect for a scenic ride along the river! There is a place for picnics with a spacious and clean public restroom! Many photo opportunities! There is also camping areas and hiking trails! Have a day to spend? Bike eleven miles upstream to Confluence and eat at the River’s Edge restaurant! Make reservations though-it’s a hot spot with great food!

It’s well maintained, and pretty popular, so don’t be surprised if there’s a crowd on the weekend.

Beautiful and clean park.
Campground was clean with a variety of sites - we stayed in a dog friendly loop (not all sites allow dogs)
Restrooms were also well maintained and heated which was great since it was cold - 40F at night so bring warm gear if you're camping in the fall.
Easy trail access from the campground or multiple lots around Ohiopyle. Trails were well marked, beautiful views of the falls.
Lots of bikes on the Great Allegheny Passage so be mindful to share the trail.
Hiking routes will take you to the town with east access to coffee, a market, deli and simple lunch options.
There are rental shops for bikes and water activities but we didn't visit any

One of my favorite places to visit, especially in the fall. Just beautiful. Clean, well maintained park, with a great visitor center, that has an interactive exhibit, for the kiddos. And a spectacular, weather protected view, of the falls.
Fallingwater, a residential masterpiece designed by architect Frank Lloyd Wright, has been designated as a landmark and is now open for public tours. Located around an hour and a half southeast of Pittsburgh, the house is made of stone, concrete and glass which blend together seamlessly. The space exudes grandeur with its breathtaking history that dates back to the 1930s. The visitor center before entering the house showcases simplicity and complexity at their finest, with the foundation being praised for maintaining its original charm.
We rented a cabin near here for the weekend with family. I've always wanted to visit this house so we stopped by on our last day.
Tickets were sold out for the indoor tours (they weren't doing many because of Covid), so if you want to do that, book at least a month in advance.
That being said, the grounds and outside of the property are incredible. It's such a beautiful house and definitely worth visiting just the outdoor portion too. Plus you can see the inside through the windows. Tickets for that were only $20/person when we went.
There are tons of trails you can explore around the grounds too. I'd allow at least 1-2 hours here. It's definitely worth a day trip to visit if you're anywhere near here!

The space in the history is breathtaking.
To see and feel how the elements enter twine and then remember that this house was built in the 30s is remarkable.
This space is peaceful and well-kept. The visitor center before you get to work on this space is astonishing.
The foundation does a wonderful job of maintaining the simplicity and the complexity.
We missed the Inside tour but walking on the premises and the hidden paths I realized that this house has been here for over 50 years - it's magical.

A really amazing experience. Seeing pictures and videos cannot do this place justice. The harmony created with nature, and a man-made structure is perfectly balanced. We went on a 30F day in November, but still felt I could imagine what a summer day felt like here with the windows open, and a nice breeze. The grounds are beautiful, and relatively untouched. The home is setback far enough that you’re secluded, and there’s no noise (except the falls). Our guide was Brandon L., and he was great. We opted for the earpiece, which was also very convenient. Nice gift shop.

The mecca to some of the great Frank Lloyd Wright. This house was an amazing sight to see and the landscape and surroundings just made the experience so much better. I've been to about three or four of his houses that he has designed and this one right here just really brought nature into the house and really made everything seem fluid. The creek and waterfall can be felt all throughout the house whether it is sight sound smell sometimes touch. You really get the sense of being in nature in a house like this as everything is designed to bring the outside in. On top of the house itself you can also walk the grounds and see other points of interest as well. There are some Trails you can walk in other viewpoints of the house which is highly encouraged. It is up in the mountains in the woods and I was fortunate enough to get the full experience of going there during a huge rainstorm but then having the skies clear once the tour started. So to say the least "falling water" was very literal that day. Well worth the price of admission and a must-see of Frank Lloyd Wright lovers

This place is one of kind. A beautiful nature walk to a true wonder. The visitor center seemed so calm and peaceful. it's an open roof in the woods. Even the mens room was beautiful. You can take guided tours, but it seems you have to book in advance, but for $15, you can walk the grounds on your own and still see the beauty. The cafe was really good and eating out in the lobby of the visitors center was very peaceful. I'm definitely glad to go. It is highly recommended to check out.

It was a dream of mine since I first studied Architecture to see Frank Lloyd Wright's masterpiece. And it didn't disappoint. Make sure to see his ingenious corner window detail. Fully integrated with nature.

This is a world famous building! A must see if you are in the area. We went in late February on Presidents Day. It was a beautiful day. We just had a timed walking pass. This means you just walk around the gardens and around the outside of the house.
The actual map they give you is a bit rubbish as their are no physical markers on the ground to correspond with the letters on the map. Also paths etc were closed for maintenance. It was obviously ‘off season’ so a lot of maintenance was taking place. The restrooms were not functioning so there were portapotties.
The gift shop and reception area were closed too.
However the building was great! What an amazing building!! The gardens are perfect.
It’s a really great stop over and the whole area itself is amazing

We had Linda as a guide. Wow, was she knowledgeable and friendly. The tour was about an hour long, and she successfully answered questions by all. You can tell she has a true love for Falling Water. I don't understand the complaints. All you simply need to do is READ the website. It lists all the rules, and guidelines. Nothing asked of us was outlandish. Preserving the home for all to see in the future is best. It was our second time visiting, the first time was in the early 1990's. It's amazing how well kept and cared for the home is. Such an amazing place to visit!

Fabulous location. Gluten free lunch at the cafe. Museum is beautiful. Art gallery is amazing. Bathrooms are gorgeous and clean. Grounds are stunning. Linda our tour guide was wonderful. Such a soothing voice. The house is unbelievable. So grateful they opened it up for tours. What a remarkable legacy. Would visit again.

A must see if you're in the area, even if you're not an architecture buff. Beautiful house and grounds. Very good tour guides. Take the time to walk the trail back to the Visitors Center. Some very interesting outdoor sculptures along the path. They could do a much better/faster job in the Cafe at the Visitors center but warning there are not a lot of good food options near Fallingwater. If you're in the area already, take the time to visit Kentuck Knob just a short distance away. It's a very different but terrific visit experience.

Visited for the exterior only tour twice. Can walk around and see inside through windows easily enough. One of the exterior terraces with a great view inside can also be accessed unless preservation work is in progress. Don't forget to take a walk to the Paradise Overlook, a beautiful scene with the sound and sight of the Youghiogheny River!

Falling Water stands out as a remarkable destination, where the stellar staff goes above and beyond to ensure an unforgettable experience!
The efficiency showcased by minimal wait times adds a layer of convenience, allowing visitors to fully immerse themselves in the architectural marvels that grace the grounds. The fusion of breathtaking design and meticulously maintained landscapes creates a harmonious atmosphere that captivates the senses.
Falling Water is not just a visit; it's a transformative journey where every moment is crafted to leave a lasting impression. Highly recommended for those seeking a perfect blend of hospitality, efficiency, and sheer beauty.

Amazing house. What a breathtaking experience this house. Frank Lloyd Wright did a superb job making the house blend into nature and the whole thing be cantilever is astonishing. I had heard of this house before but hadn't taken the time to visit until now and I wasn't disappointed. I can understand why it is so beloved and really appreciate that it is being so well maintained. The tour guide was excellent and she really gave us great insight into the family and the history of the building. There are some trails to walk around as well if you wanted to spend more time there. Highly recommended!

I honestly had no idea what to expect going here, but since my childhood, I always hoped I'd make it here.
Every facet of the experience seems to have been addressed to make it excellent in every way. From the entrance, the welcome center, beverage center, gift shop, walking tour host with Bluetooth headset, walking tour of the house and grounds, and even umbrellas.
Thank you to the caretakers and overseers of the organization!
This was everything to fill my heart, interest in art, architecture, nature, and hippie vibe, all wrapped up in one place!

It is simply amazing that Frank Loyd Wright designed Fallingwater in 1935 as a vacation home for the Kaufmann family. This home is stunning. It’s unfortunate that it’s undergoing renovations that will last the next three years however, it’s better to see it maintained then neglected the ground surrounding the house are beautiful for short hikes. It’s very peaceful and calm. This has been a bucket list Item to see so very happy I made it out here. Went on a Sunday and there was hardly anyone here. Felt like we had the entire area to ourselves. Definitely recommend.

Built in the early thirties of the 1900’s as a getaway from EVERYTHING “Cottage” or Vacation Home, unbelievable advanced architecture and use of space and nature…
I was very impressed to say the least!
Quite the drive to get there but for me and my “Inspired” Son, it was definitely worth it.
Kids-oriented amusement park offers a ferris wheel & more mild rides, a wave pool & water slides.
Absolutely lovely!
The park is incredibly well thought out: from arrival to departure.
1. The parking lot system is exceptional. It’s easy to park and get into the amusement park. They have multiple lots around the facility to minimize the walking for little legs.
2. Rides are older but well maintained: we road almost every ride in the park. They were all exceptionally well maintained and the staff was actively cleaning and maintaining the entire park as we played.
3. The conversion of Mr. Rodgers Neighborhood to Daniel Tiger was adorable and done well: they reused the sets perfectly.
4. Raccoon Lagoon is perfect for littles under 5! We were never bored.
5. The water park portion is absolutely lovely. A lazy river, slides, a wave pool, a toddler area, and a dragon ship for older kids is perfect. There should be more shade, though: for safety sake.

If you have children and looking for one-day ride to burn their children, Idlewild is a good option to put in your radar. We went on a Labor Day one hour after opening and the park wasn’t that crowded. A lot of attractions were closed given to COVID and possibly for maintenance. It doesn’t get five stars because, as a lot of people said here, food is pricey here and they lack healthy options for kids. The highlight of the park is definitely the Soak Zone. Honestly, I’d skip the main park and would go straight to the water park.

Hallowboo was fantastic! The kids had such a wonderful time, all the rides were open and spookybook forest was even better with treats for the kids!

Food was overpriced. Free parking. A lot of things were closed including gift shops. We bought a souvenir cup almost 13bucks and it's the 2017 one, pretty bummed about that. Ordered a combo and didn't get a side or a drink. It's definitely run down and needs a fresh coat of paint and some upgrades. We only went for Daniel Tiger, rode the trolley, train and carousel. Lots of shade and bees. They did offer beer at one stand (8-10 bucks per) and food not containing meat (cheese Pizza and Fries). My daughter had fun she's almost two but she also didn't realize what she was missing with the rides, she was to small to go alone and adults were to big (for her age group).

We stopped at Idlewild while touring the small amusement parks in NY and PA and just loved the nostalgia of the park. It felts like stepping back into the 50s or 60s where families would vacation at a place like this for a week or two.
They have a nice selection of rides, but it’s not really a thrill seeker park. It’s wonderful to just slow it down and enjoy the flat rides and beautiful scenery.
The have two coasters. Rollo Coaster is a well maintained woody from 1938. It’s a great family style coaster. They also have a wild mouse steel coaster that is pretty fun.
We enjoyed our time there and will be back!

We have been visiting this park since the 1990's. First with our own kids and yesterday with grandchildren. I love the updates done to storybook forest and the characters were the best we have ever experienced. We would have loved to have been able to tour storybook forest at 9AM like we did with our own children as this makes getting through the park easier.
We like that the parking lots make packing a picnic lunch an option and convenient. We were going to eat dinner at the park before leaving, but the food was outrageously expensive so we left the park and went to McDonald's drive through.
We thought the park was very clean and we noticed significant updates and painting repairs since our visit 2 years ago. Nicely done!
One issue we had that caused significant frustration was that bathrooms were very difficult to locate on the map and were not well marked in the park. The maps are to small to actually read details like restrooms.
We were disappointed that the park closed at 7pm which we did know about before arriving but it makes it impossible to do everything in a single day. We live 3 hours away in Ohio and used to arrive at the park at 9Am and leave at 10PM.
Yesterday we realized that there was no way to do the water park and Old Idlewild amusement rides so we gave the kids a choice. They picked the rides therefore for the first time ever we did not use the water park. We live close to multiple water parks but it was still disappointing.
With the exception of hours and restroom issues, we love this park and will return.

What a nice place! My kids loved it! Parking and entry was so easy! It's a shame more places don't do it this way! Food was average, and the staff was polite. Very nostalgic and very enjoyable! We felt safe and relaxed here. Only complaint, lots of bees for reasons unknown. If you bring/use hand sanitizer, leave the floral scents at home. Looking forward to our next visit!

Nice park, a lot of parking lot spaces, good ideas of monkey gym, we was first time here for Halloween , they have a nice photo spots. The best railroad views. But next time will go to Kennywood, there is more attractions for adults, kids zone smaller then Idlewild, but more coasters, less distance to drive.

Amazing family oriented amusement park. They still have some originals and have made improvements on a few of the rides. It's definitely not modern, but it's perfect for a family with younger kids. We appreciate that my 2 1/2 and 7 year old have a lot of different rides to enjoy, but also the Jumping Jungle and Storybook Forest offer up fun 'nonriding' activities as well. Storybook Forest has characters throughout and they are so sweet and interact with the kids. Snow White took the time to point out each dwarf (figures) and their names. She included some fun stories with it too. There's little wait for the kiddie rides even on a beautiful weekend afternoon in August, the longest wait we had was for the Wild Mouse and that was about 20 minutes. I would definitely seek out discount tickets. We chose Groupon and saved over $50 for a family of 4. Bring your own water if you can or be ready to pay $4/bottle. I'd also suggest packing up snacks as they don't have any restrictions on coolers or bags. Finally, park anywhere and it's a very short walk into different areas of the park. (I can't speak about Soak Zone because we didn't go to that area.)

This old park has a nostalgic atmosphere and is tucked in amongst the Laurel Mountains. There are 4 sections of the park which is all family friendly. The first part is Storybook Forest which showcases classic fairytales and is interactive. It's decorated with miniature houses that you can walk through and your kids will love it. Next is the main part of the amusement park which has old wooden rides and many fun games. There are lots of food choices and plenty of places to sit. Then if you walk across the large wooden bridge or take the train you will find Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood. There are a ton on rides for the little ones and even some games and food in this section. Last is Soak Zones, you'll need a full day to explore the fun water slides, the giant water bucket, wave pool, enormous interactive pirate ship for the small kiddies and the lazy river. There are changing rooms and lockers. The staff were friendly and the park was clean. I love Idlewild and I've taken my family there for years. My only complaint is that they no longer have the antique photo studio. We would get a family picture every year as a tradition and had fun dressing up in period clothing. This was a disappointment for my family. Also their prices for food, games and entry have gone up significantly which made things a little challenging during our visit. Over all it's a fun place to go with your family. We have made some long lasting memories at this magical place.

Idlewild and SoakZone was always one of my favorite places to go as a kid and now as an adult with a kid. We usually arrive when the park opens and try to leave by 3:00 p.m. as it gets crowded later in the day. The best thing to do is to go to the wave pool area early in the morning, then leave SoakZone around lunch time when it starts to get crowded. We usually pack a lunch since the food is expensive. Depending on how much money you plan to spend, you may be better off purchasing the gold annual pass. We go several times throughout the year, and barely spend any money when we go. With each gold pass, you receive a free souvenir refill cup (free refills) and a nice discount on the food venues. This year they discontinued the 99 cent popcorn refill bucket. I spoke to the person selling the popcorn and she said there are a lot of people upset about it, so we are hopeful that they will bring it back. This park is geared for families with smaller children. Our son just became 37” tall this year and can ride most of the rides now. In addition to SoakZone (water park), and the normal rides, there is also a Kiddieland for younger children and Story Book Forrest. These two parts of the park are fun to go to for smaller children and take a lot of time to go through. All in all Idlewild and SoakZone are great places to go, but plan to spend a lot of money. For an example, the duck pond game was $10.

This park was lovely, shaded and a great time for the kids. A little expensive! My wife was pregnant and couldn't really ride anything at all, so it stinks we still had to pay! I only wish that the staff managing the rides were more attentive and engaging with the kids. There was no cheeriness and just felt like everyone was going through the motions. I think it took away from the enjoyment for the kids to be honest when the people running the rides don't seem at all excited about them. It was not a busy day but many times we had to wait because a child needed help out of a ride seat but the attendant was just sitting there for instance. My young daughters went through an entire bumper car ride stuck against a side with another car blocking them in and no way of getting out. The attendant just pretended not to see them which was very frustrating for them. Lifeguards at the water zone were highly attentive which was great. If you are going on the larger roller coaster make sure to check your combined weight on the scale ahead of time. Many people waited in line for the whole time just to find out they can't ride together. The combined weight for each row was like 265lb or something. If over that limit, you can't ride at all! Lockers of different size were available for the water area. We got one for $13 which fit a backpack full of stuff and our shoes for the whole day if needed.

Beautiful park. Numerous picnic pavilions in short walking distance. Plenty of parking with handicapped access. Very family friendly environment. Lots of shaded areas and benches. Would recommend taking your own food and drinks. Very costly in the park. They allow wagons in park. If going to park often a seasonal pass is helpful and save you. No cash use in park, credit/debit cards only. A great time was had.

Not bad for small kids. Super crowded at the Soak Zone as to be expected on a 90° day. We did the amusement rides first before going to the water area. Usual line up of concession stands and drinks. Adults were happy to have the opportunity to have a beer or two. Parking is what you'd expect, crowded. There are no marked spots, so one car could park crooked and take up three spots which is what many did, and with no lot attendants, no one was correcting the problem. This is my reason for a star off. The kids had a good time and really that is all that matters.

I had an awesome day in Johnstown. The Incline was a stop while on an autumn trip around Southwestern PA. It's a slow ride up and down the hill so you can take pictures and enjoy looking out over the city. There is a nice flat park at the top of the hill with a large American flag. The city and the incline are worth visiting if you are in the area.

I lived near the Incline Plane for a year and took many rides on it, enjoying the view. I like the gift shop as well. My grandchildren all had fun. But most of all, I loved the restaurant. Best Italian food anywhere. And the view was beautiful as well. The restaurant is still open, from what I heard. But when will the whole place be open. It's been about 3 years.

This place is awesome and a must see, worth a day trip (but make sure it's during the open season). I live in Pittsburgh, a few blocks from the Duquesne Incline, which I ride often, and this one in Johnstown is a gem! It was closed when I visited and I absolutely will return when it's open. So, a little known day trip you can take, from Pittsburgh to Altoona, will allow you to see 5 inclines, 4 of which you can ride. The Duquesne and Monongahela inclines in Pittsburgh, Johnstown inclined plane, Allegheny Portage Railroad, then the mini incline at the Altoona Curve. Enjoy 😉.

Very cool experience with great views of the town below. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Finding the right place to park at the bottom is a bit of a challenge but certainly worth taking the time to do.
Cindy Alderfer — Google review
Riding the plane is rather inexpensive. They run roughly every 15 minutes, although I wish hours of operation started earlier.
Mountain bike trails are easily accessed from the top, ride bikes down and ride the plane back up.
The bottom, however, requires you to carry your bike up through a very narrow passage and stairwell. If you are running bars over 700s, it's very tight, and difficult for children. I had to carry my bike up, then go back and carry my sons bike up.
The trails are pretty technical and I wouldn't advise a novice, especially a novice child, ride them. The trails require ability to control your descent and handle tight turns. The lower section of trail is mich easier for a beginner.

Don't fear it, it's really not a bad ride!
Although this incline is steeper than the ones in Pittsburgh, it's a much smoother ride. I generally have weak knees if I'm even three stories high somewhere, but I was stepping out of my comfort zone to ride it and it wasn't bad at all! It was a very smooth ride and it even still transports vehicles both ways. I wish we'd have started at the bottom and put the car on to get to the top. The platform outside is a great view and from inside the gift shop you can see the mechanics of it (as pictured here).

Definetly a million times better than the Pittsburgh Duquesne incline. So big, spacious and I love that it can carry motor bikes and cycles and even small cars. The view from the top is amazing, not crowded, and I love the little icecream joint. There is a large park designed like a baseball field just next to it do u can relax while enjoying the view. If u fancy a meal, there's a wonderful Italian restaurant just next door. Must see if u are in jonstown area.

Being almost 4 hours away from this location, it’s hard to visit this memorial! But let me tell you, I went on 9-11 and it’s very busy, but absolutely beautiful! I would definitely recommend going on 9-11! It’s a great day experience! There’s is a trail you can walk or bike and it’s very spacious! It’s a nice place to go and have lunch and learn about history! There are so many different things to go see and read about! If you have the chance to go, I would! It’s so beautiful and educational and you get to go out and breathe the fresh air! This memorial is one of my favorites!

Flight 93 national memorial is easy to get to but off the beaten path. Plenty of free parking and handicapped accessible. The tower of voices you should come to first, if you didn’t don’t worry, we missed them coming in because gps took us to another route but still got to the memorial. Plenty of space. Don’t forget to get a program which details all about the tragedy. There’s a lot to walk so wear a good pair of shoes. We did the winding trail up to the view platform and I had on flip flops. It can be done which I proved but my feet, ugh! Everything is free. You can leave a note in the shelter for the victim’s families. Very beautiful place. Very well done and looked after. There are historians there to answer questions and tell the story. There are bathrooms on the premises. Camper parking was available as well.

This is an experience that I think k everyone should see. Went into the visitors center and felt a crazy calm in the facility. They actually have some recordings from the event available for you to listen to on headphones. The memorial plaza is closer to the crash site. There is a bridge, and you can hear the wind hum through the rails. The experience is melancholy 😢.

Amazing, somber, surreal experience. They documented everything in an easy to follow timeline, just beautiful displays in the visitor center. Very good tribute to those fallen and left behind that day. I could not help but tear up and have goosebumps reliving my experience and emotions on that day. Visiting the Flight 93 National Memorial was a profoundly humbling experience. Set in the quiet, rolling hills of Pennsylvania, the site is a somber reminder of the tragic events of September 11, 2001, and the heroism of the passengers and crew aboard Flight 93. The design of the memorial is thoughtful and respectful, with a pathway leading to the Wall of Names, where each victim's name is inscribed on individual panels, facing the crash site. Walking through the memorial, the sense of sacrifice and loss is palpable, yet there is also a strong feeling of unity and resilience. The Visitor Center provides a detailed account of the events, personal stories, and artifacts that deepen the understanding of the day's events. The peaceful surroundings and reflective atmosphere of the memorial invite visitors to pay their respects and reflect on the impact of that day. It's a place that not only honors those who lost their lives but also educates and inspires visitors to remember the values of courage, sacrifice, and freedom.

Came from California to mechanicsburg to see my uncle and flight 93 was one of the things I wanted to see. We got there and it was very quiet. Very moving and a place Americans will never forget.

Beautiful memorial. I cannot describe the feeling there. I was not aware until I was on the field walk ending that the granite walkways were the route the flight came in on. When walking in you are on the granite walkway to a half wall of glass to the overlook. Then the granite walkway is at the field area along the marble name slabs to the fence to look through and see the boulder marking the site.
The chimes of voices was so beautiful. Wait patiently to here them. They are like whispers in the winds.
There is a clean restroom and a shop, also memorabilia and videos.
Fields of wild flowers planted were gorgeous.
Surreal.

Heartfelt tribute to the heroes on Flight 93. The visitor station shows a timeline of events and a screen that plays a re-enactment of when and how the plane crashed. Photos of all the victims are displayed on a wall along with voice recordings of the last calls to loved ones. There is an outlook area where you can see the crash site and memorial wall. All together there are 3 areas. The tower of voices, which is a giant wind chime representing 40 individual chimes for all 40 passengers. The visiting center displays artifacts and tells about what happened on and leading up to 9/11 along with an outlook center outside of the building. The third area is the memory wall with the names of victims, which is also close up to the crash site. There is a small store located inside with clothing and memorabilia also. Also, just an FYI, there is a sign that says no cameras or picture taking is allowed in the visiting center where all the artifacts are. There is also a sign near the tribute wall that says no food, pets, or bikes. I'm not sure if it is allowed in any other places, so research before you go. We stopped here on our way to Ohio from Washington DC. Would highly recommend to stop here if traveling in the area.

It’s always been hard not to get teary-eyed at visiting a memorial. Compared to others that I have visited this one is very modest. I visited a few hours before sundown in mid-June. Only a few people there. It quiet; no distractions from human noise. I found myself reflecting on the horror that these passengers felt when they came to the realization that they were going to die, by plunging thousands of feet. The decision they made to take back control of the aircraft was truly heroic.

I really hate to give any memorial less than 5 stars. It is a beautifully done building and grounds. Definitely worth the stop if you are driving through.
It lost a star for the no pictures inside policy. It was the first time I have been to any place operated by the national park service that denied photography.

We were driving on the interstate and saw the sign. Spontaneously we exited. Not sure what to expect. The memorial was amazingly well done. While we expected a quick detour we spent a few hours. Flight over path/overlook, Tower of voices, Memorial plaza & wall of names. The visitor center does an excellent job retelling the stories of flight 93. Way more than we realized. Very quiet, tranquil and thoughtful site. The nuances of the design and intentionality of each part is amazing. Even a decent hiking path that interacts with the site. Talk to the rangers and volunteer guides who give unique insights. Highly recommended and respectfully done! 🇺🇸

Very emotional experience! Only tourist location I've ever visited that moved me to tears. I surmise someone born in the 1930's or earlier would feel similar while visiting Pearl Harbor. I found the differences in the reactions in the various visitors there very interesting. The younger visitors seemed curious but respectful. Many of the older visitors seemed saddened. Some openly wept listening to the actual recordings left by passengers on the answering machines of their loved ones when they realized they would most likely die.
There is no fee to visit the Memorial park or visitor center. The exhibits are very educational, recreating the events on the morning of 9/11/01. Pets are allowed outside, but preferably not on the granite walkways. The only possible "negative" I can say is that there is a small gift shop in the visitor center. Some people might find this a bit tacky, but I thought the items sold were mainly educational or patriotic, and it's for a good cause, so I didn't mind its presence.
I won't hesitate to visit here again in the future. Watching the deer feed in the same field where so much death occurred years earlier, with the beautiful backdrop of a blue sky and colorful autumn leaves, left me with a mixture of emotions: peace, sadness, admiration, despair, etc. It is an experience I will never forget. 💔❤

Somber, and yet resonating. This memorial is beautiful and really does an amazing job educating about the final moments these heroic people lived. There are two main areas. The tower of voices is closest to the entrance, while the memorial museum is farther up the hill. It's best to come in the main door which is to the left of the parking lot. The inside tells the story from take off to grounding. So many years later and my heart still mourns with the families. I pray these powerful people continue to rest in peace.

This is a very nice memorial. The story walls and recordings of passengers final phone calls are very moving. If you have not been here I highly recommend it. There are no photos allowed inside so I only have photos of the wind chime tower. This tower is only a small part of the overall memorial.

The least accessible of the 9/11 memorials but certainly worth the time. I’m impressed by the symbolism throughout the site. I've been to the Flight 93 Memorial 11 times. My first time was with my dad, shortly after 9/11 and awhile I waited to ship to basic training. To see where the memorial started and where is today is truly amazing! It was a simple steel wire fence, maybe 40 feet long and 12 feet high. I remember so many stuffed animals, pictures, letters and other heart felt items from friends and family. Today I'm proud to be VP of Rescue 343-2 Memorial which is a tribute Memorial to 9/11 out of Ohio and all who passed on 9/11. We will NEVER FORGET!

The Flight 93 National Memorial in Pennsylvania stands as a solemn tribute to the courage and resilience of ordinary Americans who became heroes on a fateful day in our nation's history. Visiting this hallowed ground with my family was a deeply moving experience.
The museum, though photo-restricted, tells a powerful story of bravery and sacrifice. It commemorates the passengers and crew who, in the face of unspeakable terror, made an unthinkable decision: to confront the forces of darkness and prevent further devastation. Their selflessness and determination to protect others embody the spirit of our country.
Walking through the memorial grounds, you can't help but feel a profound sense of gratitude for these individuals who gave their lives to safeguard countless others. The serene landscape, including the Field of Honor and the Wall of Names, offers a place for reflection and remembrance. It's a reminder that even in our darkest hours, the American spirit shines bright.
The Flight 93 National Memorial isn't just a must-see for Americans; it's a testament to the indomitable human spirit and the enduring values that unite us all. It's a place that honors the past while inspiring hope for a better future. Every American should make this pilgrimage to pay tribute to the heroes of Flight 93 and to reaffirm our shared commitment to freedom and resilience.

The Flight 93 Memorial is such a great place to learn about what had happened on Flight 93 from 9/11. What they have done here to memorize the victims and everyone else affected by that dreadful day is amazing. They went above and beyond with this memorial. Inside you can find a ton of information and artifacts from the area during 9/11. There is no photography or video allowed inside of the building. There is a trail that will lead you down to the wall and where the crash site is. You can also drive here and walk a short distance to the crash site. A rock symbolizes where the plane had crashed. Take your time to enjoy and show respect towards all that had happened and all those brave people that had helped during the crash. The area is also very scenic.

Educational, emotional, and beautiful tribute to the lives lost on Flight 93.
The park ranger shared about prior land ownership, the symbolism of the design of the grounds being like a mother's embrace, the tall walls to draw your attention up towards the sky/flight path, and the wooden gate/wood ceilings being a nod to the hemlocks that were damaged/burned during the explosion. and so much more.
Truly incredible experience, this place will humble you.

It was an amazing, emotional, and educational experience. All the exhibits in the memorial were amazing. You can't leave there without learning how those passengers were such heroes for four our country.

Excellent memorial for the tragedy that occurred here. The signs are informational and really remind you what occurred on that fateful day. The place is very somber and truly makes you reflect. The design of the buildings following the flight path is brilliant and the way everything else is laid out is wonderful. I didn't realize how much land they have in the park but it is expansive.

We were taking the back roads to Hershey, PA and happened to drive by as it’s in a remote location. We turned around to visit and pay tribute to the men and women who lost their lives on Flight 93. The memorial was majestic and beautiful, standing tall by itself among the rolling hills. Very emotional experience standing there and hearing the chimes. So glad we turned around to experience this.

In the area for work , I stopped here to show my respect to those brave Americans who surrendered their lives to stop the terrorist on that horrific day.
The site is very well down in how it preserves the natural beauty and shows respect to the heroes of Flight 93.
Unfortunately, the wind speed was not high enough get the wind chimes going, but seeing it was great nevertheless.
Well worth the visit
Scenic 2,375-foot section of railway line open since 1834 accessed by funicular & 194 steps.
My family and I really enjoyed it. If you go in the middle of the summer like we did, better to go in the morning before it gets too hot. There some shade but you don't see the trains well from it. Staying to see a couple of trains, especially the long ones are a must. Like most attractions in central and western Pennsylvania, it doesn't get crowded. We spent about an hour here before moving into Altona to see the Railroader's Museum.
Anthony Smith — Google review
No train rides schedule to refer to when we came, bringing inconvenience. But usually the frequency will be one train 🚂 every 30-45min. It was a pity because there is no hiking route to take the whole picture of sightseeing. I heard from the staff that the curve picture was taken on helicopter 🚁 and therefore we only see partial of the curve. The student price for entry is 4 dollars 💵.

We had an exceptionally beautiful autumn day at Horseshoe Curve! What I enjoy the most about going in the fall is that you can see so much more after the leaves have dropped for the season. We counted 98 cars on the eastbound train and 72 on the westbound train. While I couldn't find any information online about train schedules, I find the best time is between noon and 2pm. The museum is very informative with static displays, topographical models, and a video room with 3 videos describing the history of the area. The gift shop has a nice selection of shirts and small gifts as well. If you're into trains, this is definitely a bucket list day trip!

Awesome view, and really cool to stay and see the trains go around the curve. If the train is long enough you can see it on both sides of the curve at the same time! Fun for train enthusiasts!

Its one thing when you see this place on Virtual Railfan...but it's a site to see in person. One thing I will say is that anytime is #traintime. Sometimes, visitors to here come up empty handed...and some get quite a catch (or several) to add to their impressive collection of trains
John Dettinger — Google review
Interesting museum and viewing place, but don’t expect to SEE the complete horseshoe curve. A bit of a disappointment. Forest growth obstructs the train/track view by some 60%. In the museum a display addresses the liberties taken throughout history on portraying the curve, mostly by postcard artists.
Many, many steps to climb to get to viewing area on a hill. No water fountain or bathrooms at viewing area. Some shade and benches at the top.
Bathrooms at lower level museum. Snack area type cafe here. Gift shop.
The viewing area hill incline motorized cart device was not running during my July 2023 visit. They broadcast live train radio traffic at the viewing area, much of it scratchy. Fee under $10 to enter. Limited hours, check website. Parking is free. Place could use a facelift.
I was more amazed by the water reservoirs going up the side of the mountain that I saw driving up, one pouring into the other. 💦
Craigster Griffin — Google review
This is my second time here. The short incline wasn’t working about 100 Zig Zag steps up to the top taking you into the middle of the Horseshoe Bend. Trains come regularly so spend a little time there and you’ll be treated to about a 3 mile train 🚊 coming around the bend Horns blaring. 12.00 for 2 Senior tickets. A great place for train watching. Out of the parking lot turn right and through the short tunnel for a beautiful drive up the mountain taking you to US RT 22 and a great fall foliage drive

Nice museum, gift shop and viewing of the railroad tracks and valley. Funicular is down for maintenance, so many stairs to climb the hill.
Hank Walker — Google review
Great views, a nice open park perfect for a small picnic, with loud trains of course! The lift to go up was under maintenance so had to use the stairs all the way up, which was fine as the kids saw a snake on the way up and they loved that. We will definitely go again!
Amanda Reynolds — Google review
Love coming here to watch the trains make their way along the curve, they have a small gift shop and also a nice museum to tell about the history or the curve! The bathrooms were nice. Keep in mind there is basically no shade up on the viewing hill, so bring sunblock and glasses! The incline car was not open when we were there so its only stairs to the top at this point, however, it did seem like they were working to fix it!

Horseshoe Curve, the railroading mecca of the east coast. Me and my best friend visited on a Sunday and were not disappointed. 4-5 trains in one hour! A Virtual Railfan camera is also on the premises atop the hill next to the curve so you can see yourself on the video stream from your phone! Aside from the main event there's also a small museum beside the gift shop about the history and construction of horseshoe curve under the PRR, PC, Conrail, Etc. Absolutely worth the price of admission.

It's a beautiful piece of railroad history. We arrived at the perfect time to see a train take the curve. The weather was great. The museum was nice. Restrooms were clean.

It's incredible. The sounds of the trains going up or coming down the curve is amazing. Saw 9 trains in 5 hours the day I was there. Nice shop to buy items, too. I came from Illinois, well worth the trip.

I went here yesterday and had a great experience, I ended up seeing 6 trains and a Norfolk Southern track inspector truck, this place is an absolute must for anyone who is a railroad enthusiast.
Jacob Currie — Google review
We had a great time! We walked up 194 steps to the top viewing area and heard, watched, and felt the great coal trains go by- with even a whistle and wave front the engineer. There is ample seating and a small covered area to view the trains. We also enjoyed the shop and all the train associated items. Definitely worth the few minute trip from Altoona or off Rt 22. The lift to the top was not operational.
Peter Lupkowski — Google review
The view is lacking unless you climb 200 steps to the observation platform . The Inclined plane is still out of service and they are not sure when it will be back in operation. The museum is interesting but again very ho hum.
Andrew Lankasky — Google review
Had an amazing stop today at the historic Horseshoe Curve. What a cool experience. The people responsible have created an breathtaking step back into Pennsylvania's past. We climbed the steps from the visitor center to the curve (not a horrible climb at our ages) and were there as two freight trains rolled through; one east and the other west. There are multiple trains through daily, including two AMTRAC passenger trains.
The museum below is small but packed with very good visuals and videos, sharing the history of the curve and the Pennsylvania Railroad. Do check it out.

Water & Amusement Parks
Expansive attraction featuring rides, a water park, carnival games, mini-golf & go-karts.
This place is pretty neat. It has an amusement park and a water park. Plenty of different places to eat. A few gift shops as well.
Was able to get through the ride lines fairly fast and operators were friendly.
Had pizza there which wasn't bad and wasn't a real bad price considering you are in the park. Bathrooms were very clean and we'll maintained.
Very nice park all the way around for the price.

This is an awesome family park. Everything from admission, games, and food are affordable for everyone. This is a CASHLESS park, so keep that in mind. The food portions are pretty big for the price and the food is delicious. There's a water park and a regular park all included in the price of admission. Parking is free and there are online discounts as well as coupons on their food brands. They do not have big coasters so maybe older teens might not enjoy it, however the water park has some nice slides. This is a really good family day!!
Robin Sheesley — Google review
This was our first time at the park. I've heard about Delgrosso's for years, but it's over 2 hours away and I didn't make the trip. I finally decided it was time to pack up the family and take them for something different. The kids are 5, 6 & 16. ALL of them had a blast on both sides of the park. We first started on the water park side since they opened earlier and they loved it. After about 90 minutes, we dried off and got a bite to eat. The kids had the pasta and really liked it a lot. Then we moved over to the rides and it was great until it started raining. Luckily the rain only lasted about 20 minutes and that was just enough time to grab a funnel cake. After that, they rode a few more rides and headed back to the water park for finish off the day. Everyone was really friendly, park was clean and had no issues. The only downside I see is if you like the slides, you are going to spend a whole lot of time waiting in line. We waited in line once for about 45 minutes and didn't try again because it took so long. I will say that 1 of the slides wasn't available during that time also.
Jason S — Google review
Huge family here. 6 children, 2 adults. So price is very important to us in finding a place to take everyone for a vacation/good time. We ordered online which you normally get charged a "convenience fee" from most places - Not the case here! In fact, we saved even more money and time. They gave a discount for ordering online and that allowed us to get in probably 30 minutes earlier because we didn't have to wait in the long line of people who had to buy tickets when they got there. For all of us, and for access to both the amusement park and the water park, it cost under 225$. That's huge for a family like mine. We also bought lunch at the Philly cheese steak place where we all had half a sandwich each, bought 4 fries, and 7 drinks and after tax was 75$. About 30$ cheaper than most of the other places that were there and the steaks were delicious and the fries were excellent! Fountain sodas, as normal we're loaded with ice and not very good (personal distaste). The lines for the water park were actually longer than the lines in the amusement park but they all moved fairly quickly and I never felt like my kids were getting too impatient. The lazy river was wonderful (mostly for us adults who were ready to relax). The wave pool was awesome and the kids had a blast. The amusement side was great as well. They went on every ride at least once and several more than once. The sun was beating down hard all day but there was no shortage of shaded areas to sit and watch the children on the rides they went on. All in all this was worth every penny for all 8 of us and is now on our list to go to again in the future. I cannot recommend this enough of you are on a budget and still want the amusement park experience! Thank you!!

What a super fun family park. It’s definitely a smaller one . I’d consider this a better park for the little ones. No actual roller coasters. But a few thrill rides to go on for the bigger ones. Very good food! A very small kiddy park. Lots of parking and it’s free. The park is also free if you just wanna walk around. They do have a water park which we didn’t get to experience. But it looked fun! I wish the train ride was a bit longer with some attractions surrounding it since that’s the one ride my husband and I enjoy the most at our age. Can’t wait to visit again and enjoy the water park.

One of the best amusement parks I have been too. The kids loved the wave pool and lazy river. The rides are awesome.

Every year we have to visit at least once. Every year I get grumpy about the cost, (you can definitely dump a lot of money here in a day… however, the park has been updating and improving every year. The rides and amenities are always clean and working. It’s quite impressive how they can keep up with the amount of people who pass through daily. Delgrosso is definitely doing something right with the money we spend here. So keep up the good work.
Even being short staffed at the end of the year, they handled things well, trying to open different areas even for a short period of time. The website is updated and reliable, also money saving opportunity on there.
My only complaint would be that lockers and cabanas are whole day rentals. So reserve early because once they’re full there’s no rentals available again for that day.
Haley Smolko — Google review
The park is very clean. Most staff is great. Even though they're young, they do a great job. When people were misbehaving on the lazy river, all guards but one took it seriously and stopped the behavior. However, one guy totally ignored a guy who was up on the raft on his knees and splashing the heck out of those behind him intentionally. Food was good and not terribly priced. We had an issue with them thinking our cabana had been cancelled but they figured it out.
Teresa W — Google review
Spent two days here at both the park and the lagoon. Highly recommend getting a cabana if you can swing it (it is affordable) reallllly helpful especially with little kids.
As a Pittsburgh resident I can easily say this place makes Kennywood look like a joke. It’s well maintained, there isn’t garbage everywhere, the employees are really helpful and kind. We did the lunch it was efficient and delicious. The ride operators were really kind as well. Really happy with our time here.
The only complaint which isn’t really anything is you park on the side by the water park and to get to the amusement park side you have one walkway (which is cool because it goes over a highway) and it’s up and down ramps which for me being 8.5 months pregnant was a haul.
Maggie Riegner — Google review
This was my first time back in year's. Much has changed and much is the same as I remember. This park has many memories for me so this might be biased but I do recommend the park. For me it feels like it has the perfect blend of fun for a day no matter what you like to do. I preferably like to eat in between a ride or two. Thrill seekers might not enjoy this as much as it is a family park where all ages can enjoy themselves .

This place is awesome. It literally has it all. Amazing water park, plus the roller coasters, carnaval fun, great food that doesn't break the bank. I'd say this was probably the best theme park I've ever been to. Very wide variety of things to do, so much we couldn't do them all in just 1 day.

This park is amazing! It was very clean and affordable. We had a fantastic time. We went Friday evening on the sundowner pass and rode a bunch of dry rides. Went back Saturday and hit the water park. I highly recommend if you want a chair in the water area you need to be there when it opens! It fills up quickly. The lines for the water slides were long, but everyone tried to keep the lines moving. The wave pool was different. They have a capacity limit, so you stand in line until people exit. You don't have to leave in a certain amount of time, but it was just a little bit odd. The food was reasonably priced also. We can't wait to go back next summer.

We love taking a full day to do the rides then the slides! You can book a pavilion for your big group. And we love gathering all the cousins for a reunion here every year.

This is a small amusement park that has small to medium level rides. Good for children, but not if you're looking for real roller coasters. The water park is also small, but not very busy, and some of the slides are fun. The staff is very nice. It's basically a discount amusement park. As long as you don't expect Busch gardens, then you'll like it here. Also, the food is very good, and the prices are reasonable for a theme park.

I can not believe what an amazing experience this museum is! It is one of the best laid out and interactive places that I have ever visited. It is a must stop for people of all ages. I went with my 15 yr old son and we spent over 4 hours touring the museum and grounds and wish we were there longer! Neither of us can stop talking about the experience. Amazing! Extremely interactive and historical look at Army history from Revolutionary War time thru Gulf War. Lots of photos, clear explanations and original equipment built into full scale displays that can be walked through, entered, etc... Both honors our military and those who served in a respectful way as well as accurately depicts conditions and hazards our troops experienced.
We only walked outside and did not get to see the museum indoors. Please be sure to allow at least 2 hours or more for this amazing facility. Also, note that the majority of this facility both indoors and out is handicap accessible. Five star

My wife and I home school our children, so we are always looking for field trip ideas to break up the monotony of just being stuck at home every day doing your schooling. We like to get the kids out of the house and still have it counted as a learning experience. We definitely found that at the US Army Heritage and Education Center. The kids learned a little, got hands-on with some of the very detailed exhibits, and even got a little exercise on the mile long Heritage Trail outside the Education Center. There was so much to see and do. It kept us all occupied for hours. The employees that we came in contact with were all great, full of information, and ready to answer any questions with very enthusiastic attitudes. Overall, this place is huge and filled with so much content. I definitely recommend it for families who might be home schooling their children, but honestly for anyone who is looking for something to fill their day and looking to learn a little something as well. Thanks for a great field trip.

I recommend only walking on cooler days, as there are very few trees and shady places to walk though. It was a good little trail just to cruise through. Tons of wood bees near the back end of the trail. It was interesting to read about what they had showcased there.

Took my parents to visit since my dad is a military history nerd. We had a lot of fun and learned so much! I would highly recommend visiting as something to do on a random weekend. It's all free too!
The indoor exhibit is super interesting. I highly recommend getting the solider cards from the information deck. The interactive exhibit are fun and add a great personal touch to the history you're reading. There's a LOT of information so plan to take your time to get the full affect. There's also some fun stuff that I think kids will love like a parachute simulation and virtual shooting range.
The outdoor path is awesome! The signs scattered throughout explain what you're seeing and provide information as current as 2023! The German bunker and the World War 1 trench were my favorite but I also enjoyed the tanks and helicopter.
There is limited shade along the outdoor path, so I high suggest bringing a water bottle out with you and wearing your sunscreen.

This was our first family visit, and we were very impressed. The breadth of topics represented was amazing. We had mainly come to see the exhibit about the role of comics in the military, and it was fascinating.
In addition, we enjoyed the interactive elements in the museum. My husband and I both rode on the simulated parachute, and sat in a bunker.
We finished off our visit in the gift shop. We bought tshirts, but there were many other relevant items for sale.
We will definitely return.

The Gettysburg National Cemetery in Pennsylvania is a historical landmark that serves as a memorial to the Union soldiers who lost their lives during the American Civil War. It was established in 1863 and features the resting place of 3,512 brave soldiers. The cemetery is open daily for visitors to pay homage to these fallen heroes and appreciate its beautiful grounds. Additionally, it serves as an important reminder of our nation's past and represents a significant piece of national history.
I loved seeing the battle field's to sit and think of what happened here. To see our own fighting against our own for a better life for all.
Both sides had their reasons. Both sides understood the cost. Now, we live in a world where no one understands the cost of freedom.
Now, everyone looks the other way and forgets.
I served in 2-2 Infantry for 10 years. A lot of the pictures are of 2-2 Infantry.
Dedicated to my fallen brothers.

Our motel was close too here. We walked it ourselves in a self guided tour. Lots of status and plaques too read. So many people died it really gives you more of a perspective on the sacrifices that were made. I couldn't believe all the graves marked unknown. You can easily walk through here in under two hours. So many rabbits were running around and were not even scared of us as we approached. If you have small children they will definitely be bored walking through here. Part of the cemetery was closed and blocked off so we were unable too walk it.

The experience at Gettysburg was a solemn venture. It is a free self-guide tour, or if you want a more detailed experience, there are available tour guides in the area. Our family choose the self guided exploration of the grounds. It was an honor to walk among the beautiful landscape, immaculate stones, and to see the craftsmanship of the monuments here. There is a bit of walking, so make sure to bring some water or even a snack. The park can be fully explored in few hours. There was a parking lot adjacent to the park that had adequate parking. There is also a museum on the grounds, but it was not open when we visited here. What a great source of American history for the family! A must see if you’re traveling in the area!

Although there are many monuments, there are none that clearly identify where exactly Lincoln gave his timeless Gettysburg Address. Who would no since there are no pictures or vids? No matter! We went on a Sunday morning, which was perfect. We were the only people there. The quiet added to the stillness and solemn nature of the location. The monuments are magnificent. What an amazing experience this place is! The vast size of this battlefield is awe inspiring. Over 70,000 men lost their lives battling over a 24 acre piece of land, to either keep or do away with slavery. To learn and to actually be able to visualize how far a canon ball weighing 8 pounds could be launched a mile away with a canon two hundred years ago is truly incredible. The museum displays of the uniforms, handguns, rifles and various artifacts is extensive.
I enjoyed the bus tour with the tour guide.
It was interesting and fun to hear the narrative of the battle and learn about the little to unknown facts about the battle.
In order to experience the entire Gettysburg site, it is easily a two day trip.
For convenience, there is a small cafeteria in the main building. The new museum building was.built in 2008 and is very clean and modern. There is a good sized souvenir shop in the main building as well. There are also numerous nearby hotels, souvenir shops and restaurants in the City of Gettysburg.

My wife needed a wheelchair and the staff were really helpful in getting her one and they helped at all the exhibit entrances. The cyclorama is completely different in a very good way from the use of lights, simulated cannon and gunfire and the narration of events. I went last time 25 years ago but this time they brought it to life.
When it gets close to 5 be ready to exit quickly and that includes the gift shop. The rest rooms are cordoned off too.
If you have a disabled member of your family take them to the drop off point with benches and then go to the disabled parking which is a 1/4 mile walk to the front entrance.

This is a really nice park, very educational, and very clean. The prices in the gift shops and restaurants are on the higher side, but that’s to be expected at a tourist trap. I downloaded one of the self-guided tours for my iPhone, and I have to say that it was one of the best things that I've done while visiting Gettysburg. The tour was extremely informative, and it's well laid out and worked well with my Google Maps, so I knew exactly where to go.

What an incredible place. I didn't have enough time to truly explore the entirety of it, as it is so incredibly vast. The bus tour was well worth the money, and comes with a very nice driver and a knowledgeable and friendly guide. Highly recommend that everyone should go, if possible, take a few days to really take it all in. I plan to return for a few days to hike it.

Amazing history! You really get a feel for the place where 51,000 lost their lives over a three day time period. I started to whistle while we walked, and then stopped as this is hallowed ground. Beautiful area.

History lesson at its best. Recommend starting with Cyclorama & Narrated movie to help put all the pieces together. So much took place over the 3 days of the fighting, that it is so helpful to get the overview. There is an App for the battlefield tour that guides you along the way. Very effective. There is also an App for all of the National Parks that adds extra content before heading out. Parking lots full of licenses from all over the US.

My significant other and I went here on vacation and it was wonderful. They have packages that are affordable, including a bus tour, and access to the museum. The park rangers do a lot of informative activities as well that are free. You could easily spend an entire day here between the tours (they have a self guided car version, an informative bus tour), the museum, and the additional activities run by the museum and parks department. The gift shop is beautiful, and reasonable as well. The staff at the front desk was very helpful and informative about what to take advantage of. I would visit here again if given the opportunity.

I would give it a 5 star but the cost to get in makes in inaccessible to many people. (Just over $20 as of Nov. 2023). The movie was a great summary of what led to the battle at Gettysburg and touched on the aftermath. It was better than I had expected.
The cyclorama was impressive when you learn that it is an actual oil painting from the turn of the century - and moved to Gettysburg in 1913. It went through a restoration and if you are a fan of history or art, this is a must see.

Great experience with the family. One of the rangers was amazing teaching our daughter more about Gettysburg. We enjoys the self guided tour (the app is free and has audio to go with the tour) and the monuments had great descriptions to them. Really felt Abraham Lincoln’s words while reading the Gettysburg address at the cemetery.

The best place to understand the history of United States 🇺🇸.
Is the only and unique opportunity to feel, learn and see the artifacts of the Civil War. This place is outstanding.
You can link the experience with other Histories places in PA and follow up the past, the present and the future. The museum has one of the biggest oil painting in the world which describes the reality of the battlefield of Gettysburg vs General Lee.
If you willing to learn our freedom and why was important the emancipation, go and visit this area.
Highly recommend: schedule a private tour for 3 hours and let the professional guide diving you to the past of the history.
Unforgettable experience.
Top 10 places to visit in PA.
Stay in a local hotel. You will need plenty of time to walk, read and enjoy the activities.

Gettysburg National Military Park-
AMAZING!
I am a lover of American history and have visited many historical sights, memorials, and battlefields, Gettysburg is one of the best I have seen.
The number of monuments, markers, and displays not only in the museum but all around the battlefield is just incredible.
From the video in the visitor's center/ museum to the driving path, there is so much to see and learn.
We downloaded the National Parks app which has a link to a free audio-guided tour. Loved it!
I suggest- seeing the video, seeing the museum, driving the tour with the audio guide, and seeing the Gettysburg cemetery. See the spot where Lincoln gave the Gettysburg Address.

The Gettysburg Battlefield stands as a solemn testament to the courage and sacrifice of those who fought there. Walking through its hallowed grounds, one can't help but feel a profound sense of reverence for the thousands who gave their lives in the struggle for freedom. The meticulously preserved landscapes and monuments serve as poignant reminders of the brutality and heroism that unfolded during those fateful days in July 1863. Visiting Gettysburg is not merely a journey through history; it's a pilgrimage to honor the enduring legacy of those who fought and died for a cause greater than themselves.

I agree with that don't eat here because the prices are ridiculous and it's not run by the park service or anybody at the visitor center. It's like a third-party hired out café and the food is really bad quality.! The museum bookstore had an author signing, so we looked out and got a historical book for our son, author: William Styple signed! there's some snacks available there lots of historical books, lotta tchotchkes it seemed very commercialized like you can get a coffee mug with Gettysburg and Abraham Lincoln bubblehead lol. bus tours are $40 for adults. I can't remember the prices for kids and they have four of those that leave Daley. It looks like I'm not sure if it's going to change later in spring or summer hours and the visitor center is nice and the upkeep is nice, and the restrooms are clean. Very windy out on the battlefield. there is a tour where you sit in your car and watch a couple videos at various stop so you can get out and then there's the walking tour that takes about an hour and a half and then there's the bus tours that take about two hours..
My family recommends the auto & walking tours, download the app. Learning about an important war in our country, shouldn't be considered a Tour strap and shouldn't be so much money specially if people need chip jars so apparently they're not getting paid a living wage which is a whole other story but yes, recommend going to Gettysburg at least once in your life and it's quite educational if you download the free tour...

I visited on a Thursday morning. We were on our way home so had limited time. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We unfortunately did not have the time to go thru the museum. What I read indicates you need 4 hours. There is one hall that you can view for free. It consists of a lot of items that have been found on the battleground. It was very interesting. They have a map of the battleground park available however it is not very accurate. Google was very helpful finding the memorials we wanted to see. We look forward to coming back and spending more time. The park is well maintained and well labeled. There are a lot of options for how you tour the park. Self-guided, with a group and there are options for private guides. The heritage guides even dress up. You can use guides from the park itself and there are lots of companies that offer guides as well.
The Gettysburg National Military Park Museum and Visitor Center is a renowned destination that features scenic trails and an indoor museum dedicated to the Civil War. In 2008, the center moved to a state-of-the-art facility costing $103 million, offering visitors an exceptional experience. The center offers informative movies and knowledgeable guides for students, making it an ideal location for history lovers of all ages.
Always love Gettysburg. Haven’t been here in a number if years. The visitor’s center is great and the overview movie very informative. Had a wonderful guide for our students. Very knowledgeable and gave plenty of information. So much to see and learn.

For the history buff, this is a must see place to visit.

Park draws kids & animal lovers for reptiles, petting zoo & safari rides through a 150-acre terrain.
This is a breath taking experience for a family. Our kids have been here multiple times and even though they know what's coming they still love it.
Lake Tobias has a great variety of animals to see on the zoo side. They have monkeys, black bears, tigers, lions, bobcats, ostriches, peacocks that roam the grounds, a lot of different chickens, Prarie dogs, pigs, and more.
They also have a petting zoo with a variety of different barn yard animals. I would recommend stopping at the reptile area to see turtles, snakes, alligators, and a sloth.
You can't miss out on the safari ride. Ours lasted almost an hour. There were so many different critters. Most came right up to the bus for snacks and to get petted! There is a waking path that has various different exotic birds, turtles, porcupines, and at the end extremely friendly giraffes.
You can't make a stop at Lake Tobias with getting and yummy food nor stopping at the gift shop :)
Overall a wonderful experience and not too expensive for our family of five.

First, I will say that it is a very large park and in order to see ALL of the different animals that they have, we definitely had to do a lot of walking. Other than that it's definitely a great place to visit. The petting zoo was a huge hit with the kids, they got to run around with and feed a ton of goats and sheep, and they even were able to pet some baby emus. We got to see so many different animals while walking around the park and when we took the safari tour we had yet another opportunity to be up close with the animals there. It's such an interactive experience, being able to feed or pet the animals just makes it that much more fun.

It was my family and I'm first time visiting. We had an amazing time even though we arrived on the later side of time. The safari ride was such a great experience! Only things I didn't like was the amount of bugs on the animals and the walk way was challenging to go through while having a stroller. I recommend Lake Tobias despite the few things I didn't like.

We always have a great time here, indoor and outdoor attractions. Free parking. Lots of animals to look at and feed. Prices are great, even for the food. They offer ice cream, burgers, hot dogs, fries, burritos and tacos too. Rain or shine check the weather before you go.

This was our first trip to the park! It was an amazing adventure. For my family the 2-hour card ride was well worth it. My 3-year-old daughter loved being able to get so close to the animals on the safari ride. It was a great experience even for my son who is just over a year old. The other cool thing in my opinion is it is very reasonably priced. I would have figured ticks, Food, and little gifts from the gift shop would have been well over $100. The nice thing about this place is you can bring a packed lunch and they have a bunch of pavilions thought the park. With the safari ride it definitely makes for some unforgettable memories.

Love, love, love it here. We always have a great time here, and the kids love feeding the animals on the Safari tour. The food there was reasonably priced and good. The park looked very clean, as it always does. They made some improvements and added some new animals that were cool to see. We had a great time and I highly recommend visiting. Also, be prepared to be swarmed by the goats in the petting zoo they love visitors and to be fed so I wouldn't wear nice clothes because the will put their feed up on you to get food.

Lake Tobias is an annual trip for our family and it never disappoints! We always pay for the safari tour and feeding the giraffes. It's all worth it! All your money spent goes towards taking care of the zoo. The animals are well kept and more often than not, are out and ready to be seen. There's always something to pet, besides the entire Petting zoo. This trip we got to pet a baby porcupine and baby kangaroo! There's a good amount of hills and lots of walking so come prepared for heat. There is also plenty of food and drink options and cover from the sun when needed. It's a great place not just for kids, but adults too! Highly recommend. We will see you next year, if not before!
The Pennsylvania State Capitol Complex is a historic and grand building constructed in 1906 in the beaux arts style. Its signature dome, stained glass windows, art pieces and other treasures make it a must-see attraction for visitors. The free tour of the building takes visitors through various chambers including those of the House of Representatives, Senate and Supreme Court with an experienced guide who has been doing this job for 23 years.

A friend of ours who used to work at the State Museum took us to the Capitol for a tour last Saturday (4/2). Glad that we went, since it turned out to be more spectacular than we had imagined. Saw the dome, reception area, House of Representatives, the Senate and the Supreme Court chambers and was blown away! The tour guide has been doing the tour gig for 23 years and certainly knew her stuff. Would love to go back during the week, when other areas are opened. If you get the chance to take a tour, which is free, do so. You need to call the Capitol for a booking.

The tour guide was great, talked about the history, art work and meanings behind how things came to be. Visited the rotunda, house and Senate chambers, as well the supreme court. Highly recommend the tour!

Hands down the most awesome capital building I've been in yet. Well, it rivals New Yorks. The staircase is stunning as well as the rotunda. The House and Senate chambers blew my mind. I'd love to sit in on one. The light fixtures were amazing. The fountain out front also makes this capital building special. I'd visit again if I make it to Harrisburg again.

The Pennsylvania State Capitol Building is an absolute must-visit for anyone interested in history and architecture. From the moment you step inside the grand entrance hall, you'll be in awe of the building's stunning design and attention to detail. The interior is beautifully decorated with marble, mosaics, and gold leaf, and the Rotunda is particularly breathtaking.
If you happen to be in the vicinity of Harrisburg, I suggest you take advantage of the opportunity to visit this place free of charge.

Definitely one of the best state houses in the United States! The tour of the Capitol building lasted about 30 minutes. On it you get to see the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, Senate, and Supreme Court.
All of the rooms on the tour are beautiful. The lunettes in the arches of the rotunda are spectacular. The chandeliers are one of a kind, as they were designed by James Tiffany. Each part of the Capitol building has paintings depicting Pennsylvania state history in larger than life fashion. Statues of famous Pennsylvanians can also be spotted around the rotunda.
The Pennsylvania Supreme Court is actually the oldest Supreme Court in the United States. On some days it is possible to see the legislature in action, other times it is not.
The tour is easy to find once in the rotunda. Tickets are free, but you should reserve a space ahead of time. Tour guides are knowledgeable and friendly. Also, take a walk around the Capitol Complex outside if you get the change. Very nice area!

I really enjoyed this place. I took a walk around the ground. The historic buildings are a must to see if you go to Harrisburg. It was clean and safe. I would definitely recommend this place.

Beautiful State Capitol building! Although if you visit during the weekend, there is not much to see other than the exterior and the rotunda inside. Cool architecture. Street parking is mostly free in Downtown Harrisburg, and there were plenty of available spots when I was driving around the area. Definitely recommended!

We did a guided tour with the school that I work for. The tour is definitely geared towards high schoolers and adults. Our guide was very detailed and knowledgeable about the building. If you are interested in stained glass, murals, architecture, light fixtures, or just beautiful, ornate buildings this is the tour for you. If you want to get a lot out of your visit, plan with your local representative to meet them in person. You may want to come on a day that is in session so you can see our government at work!

One of the most beautiful state capitol. The capitol building and surrounding architectures also are very beautiful. The tour guide was very knowledgeable about the history of PA and the capitol building in particular.

A lot of people in the States seem to rate Pennsylvania’s state capitol as the most beautiful. It’s certainly very elegant outside, especially from the fountain side, although I found the decoration inside too heavy. The tour, however, was excellent, done at a brisk pace but full of information by an engaging and knowledgeable guide, and there was plenty of literature about the building and Pennsylvania that we were encouraged to take away. Only potential problem is that the website for booking tours doesn’t work outside the States, so I had to get a U.S. friend to book it for me - worth knowing for other overseas visitors as you can only enter on a tour on weekends and holidays, and the tours are in any case worth doing.

Beautiful Capitol complex! Breathtaking interior with one-of-a-kind Mercer tiles, superb mosaics, paintings, golden chandeliers, etc. Sign up for a free guided tour if you can. Our guide was super knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions we had about the building/interior/PA Commonwealth in general. Great experience overall. I’ve heard the building looks beautiful during the night but unfortunately we didn’t get a chance to look at it after dusk.
The National Civil War Museum, affiliated with the Smithsonian, offers an array of artifacts, lectures and reenactment events to educate visitors on the history of the Civil War. The staff is exceptionally helpful and friendly, while exhibits are thoughtfully presented in a remarkable display that brings tears to one's eyes. The museum provides a beautiful yet heartbreaking portrayal of what occurred during this time period and is highly recommended for those seeking an intimate lesson outside of traditional educational settings such as classrooms or textbooks.
What a beautiful and heart wrenching place to learn about our Civil War. The staffnis incredibly helpful and kind. The exhibits are remarkable, and the presentation is thoughtfully laid out. The first room we entered brought tears to my eyes, seeing the history pf our country laid out so honestly. I highly recommend a visit to this museum. Worth every minute, and every dollar.

This place is amazing. The manicans are very life like and detailed. They really show the what life and death would have been like. I absolutely loved it. This is the kind of museum that others should take after.
We were there for 2 1/2 hours and didn't get to see it all. The staff was really friendly, chatted history and life with us.
I can't recommend this place enough.

Beautiful Museum. Laid out well with lots of places to sit if need be. Gift store is great. Personally, I wished it had more of a selection of gifts but great nonetheless.

We have been to quite a few civil war museums, but this one by far was the best. It has a very neutral feel, just presenting the facts leading up to and during the war. There is recognition of a variety of individuals that were in the war, videos along the way, and of course lots of pieces used at the time. Be sure to check out the medal of honor room. Only one woman has ever received this honor and it was taken away from her and given back after her death

Amazing experience!
This is a nice museum to learn more about the civil war. They did a great job by describing the events from the beginning. Most importantly they described the history of both Confederate forces and union forces and how each event unfolded. Take your kids for a good history lesson. T

A very nice museum taking you through the entire history of the darkest period of our nation’s existence.

Good people run this place. Good manners and helpful. My wife needed a wheelchair and they jumped right to it to help.
The exhibits and story lines at different stations were great.
The slave runners and chiefs who sold their people as slaves need to be called out by name. More accountability for those evil people.
