Very beautiful! A nice variant of restaurants inside like Greek, Asian, Indian, African and so on. So there's something for everyone. The casino itself looks very clean and nice. Sadly we didn't get to play. We wanted a day card to play since we only stopped by. The machine told us to get them at the cashier but after asking we could only sign up but not get a day card to play. Was a bit sad but once you're signed up I think it will be a lot of fun there. Just wasn't worth it for us for the short visit.

Meh, it's okay. Cinema hasn't got anything exciting. Of all the restaurants I'd only recommend Lily Asian, the salmon sushi was the best I've ever had. There's nothing really to do here. Even the magic company doesn't offer much, and the machines are giving in.
Robyn Becker — Google review
We to a late Saturday comedy show and had a buffet meal before. Both show and food were good and value for money. Busy atmosphere, but pity about the young kids hanging around the casino while their parents gambled.

Absolutely incredible stay has everything to offer to incredible restaurants cinema shopping And lovely hotels, you could literally most probably stay here for a good couple of days even up to 1 week, especially if you are a gambler Great shows great night life Not too far from the airport We ll take about ten to fifteen minutes I have stayed here before and will And we'll happily stay here again

Went to the spur for breakfast. Great staff, pleasant atmosphere. The chicken avo and bacon salad was scrumptious. I ordered ordered a half bowl and it sufficient enough for me to take home half. Staff were friendly and very attentive. Great experience.

The getaway was a pleasant one. Rested enough. To refresh at a welcoming atmosphere. The facilities are well looked after and safety protocols up to standard. But need little improvement on their breakfast menu.
Ngapane Mphahlele — Google review
Always busy and a mission to enter and find parking. You rather make a reservation if you want to go to one of the restaurants for dinner or go early enough if you are a walk in.
Cinema is good. Tried the 4dx. It was clean and a good experience. Not too much of walking is done. But the place does offer more than just a Casino environment.

I took my family here to eat on our last night in South Africa. We ate at Spurs, a restaurant I ate at frequently and loved as a child. It didn't disappoint.
The staff were fantastic and the menu had something for everyone. My daughter and I are vegetarian so fully expected to only have salad. However there was a whole vegan menu to choose from. The steaks and ribs where a complete hit with the neat eaters and just as I remember them, huge!
A great place to wonder round and loads of places to choose to eat too.

Very small room with hardly any light in the room. There was no separation between the toilets and the room. The WC was very small hardly any space inside. The restaurants and the casino area is good with good food. The staff were helpful and nice.

Had the BEST time (2day stay) at the Emperors Palace, @[D'oreale] the only problem was that my stay was too short.
Beautiful rooms. Attentive, Friendly staff, always helpful. Lots to see and do. Safe clean and overall fabulous!!

Went to watch a live show at the theatre. We sat in row F, but all rows is facing at an adequate angle towards the stage. Will recommend seats 17 -20 in each row as it has a bit more leg space. They allow food and drinks in except popcorn and hot bevarages. Friendly service at the door. Have plenty to do while you wait for the show or thereafter. No problem with parking.

I took my wife and friends out to eat and we all loved it. The food was really tasty, and we had a great time just sitting and chatting in such a cool place. It was a fun, easy night with good food and great friends.

"Absolutely fantastic experience! This place has it all - from the thrilling casino to the cozy and affordable hotel. The casino offers a wide variety of games, and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotel rooms are clean and comfortable, and the pricing is very reasonable. I can't recommend this place enough for a fun and affordable getaway!"

Its a nice entertainment area. There's a bit of everything there. From cinema, to club vibes at news cafe. Those into casinos, there's one. A variety of restaurants can be found as well. Just remember the R10 entrance fee for your car
muimeleli nethanani — Google review
I have five star because it feels with lots of activities to enjoy, from the delicious meals that is served at various restaurants there to the friendly services of the staffs. It has a very big casino space, the kids have all the fun activities at the game side, adults are not left behind.
The cinema gives you interesting options to enjoy your movies as VIPs, musicals are also available. Great picture locations it has beautiful water fountains, conference centres
Be warned that it is usually parked full during festive seasons, you might then have to wait in line for tables to eat or to enter some places.
amayo sophia — Google review
Awesome place for conference, children's games, restaurants, movies and also mobile theme during festive seasons. For those who don't have access membership card the entrance fee is very reasonable. Your safety is really one of their products.

Wonderful as always. Lovely stay at the Grand Hotel and would definitely love to get my hand on some of the comfy bedding for home. But rather disappointed at the breakfast the next morning. Service was excellent but could have gone to wimpy for a better farmhouse breakfast

This facility is up to date and quality. The moment you enter you feel as if you are in a completely brand new world and all your worries disappear. This facility is a great place to distress and take a moment to spoil yourself. The only issue I have encountered was that one of the elevators weren't working and within that same are the lights were highly dim.

I had an amazing stay here, kind staff, nice rooms and I loved the views. Love the swimming pool, has shallow side suitable for kids. The food was out of this world, to top it off is the free shuttle to the airport. I want to come back here with my kids and family in the future

Amazing facilities. First class casino, best hotels. Great customer service. Though two of my phones were stolen there. They said they managed to find one person on the camera surveillance who had taken my phone but that was the last I heard of the phone. Really criminals..

The hotel was amazing. The casino was awful. Rude attendants everywhere, I've never felt so put off by service in a casino anywhere.
If you are coming for the hotel, a conference, or any of the amazing restaurants, it's a great experience. If there is any human interaction needed between you and casino workers, rather give another place a go.

Dr Victor and the Rasta Rebels are such a vibe. They were awesome from start to finish. Most definitely want to see more of them in Emperors

Awesome experience for my first time there, I was there on business and all went well until I left. The security guard at the gate is very rude, I ask him what i should do when i leave because it's my first time there, his responses were. Just wait here, GO!! he shouted with no explanation, I told him straight, do not shout at me, I am not your dog, I was furious and he messed up a perfectly good day, he was at the gate at 16h30 on Saturday 2nd of March 2025

This was a 5 star experience, the place is elegant and extremely clean, the staff members are friendly and oh the masseuse’s were incredible, we had the Swedish treatment. Before the treatment I had muscle pains and by the time we left, I felt alive again.
Thank you for the wonderful service.

Poor time management skills , unprofessional and unorganised.
sad to say that I had an awful experience at the spa on my birthday
Spend 5 hours at the spa when I was only supposed to be there for 3 hours
Missed very important appointments that I’ve made accordingly to the time slot that was given to me.
I was rushed , didn’t relax at all and the food was stale and oily .
My body is sore , I am in physical pain because the therapist aren’t qualified.
The robes were dirty and stinky
My sister received a breakout from the facial that was given to us because of the therapist not being sanitary.
We want our money back and the manager is not much of help
Our manis and pedis were also ruined !
Nikita Van der walt — Google review
The admin team is really letting down this establishment! Our therapists were absolutely top tier but making the booking was a nightmare. I also had a sensitive special request which was ignored completely. On the day there were also maintenance men lurking around while we were in robes which wasn’t the most comfortable. It really is such a pity that the administration processes took from what could have been the start of something special

Absolutely amazing place, I took my my mother in law and sister's in laws for mothers day here, we enjoyed ourselves to the max. Amazing staff, they were so helpful. We had a beautiful day there. The pool is so amazing. The treatments and the pool was the highlight of our day.

As beautiful as my day was, I have to give Octavia Spa a 1 Star because of privacy concerns. Allowing guests to have video calls while they're in the pool showing some dude all the ladies in the pool, in their cozzies, while on the phone was a huge "no no" especially at the prices you pay to be there.
Robyn Cullum — Google review
A really great treatment and facilities. The only reason i have given 3 stars is because the "party" at the "relaxing" pool made it horribly difficult for myself and my partner to relax and enjoy ourselves afterwards in the "quiet area" and actually ruined it for us. i know it is not the spa's fault but they could've been reminded where they were instead of ruining it for the rest of us.

Just a warning to the patrons of Octavias day Spa
We were in the casino when we were, approached by an older Thai lady, Nita, trying to convince our group of 6(we are of mediterranean decent) that if anyone had immigration issues, that she had a "contact" for a fee she would 'FastTrack ' any issues.
What was even more disconcerting & shocking is that, "Nita" said " I am Manager at octavias and I lawyer in Thailand "
Our groups wife's wanted to book treatments but not anymore
If 'Nita' does indeed work at Octavias , don't they screen and do background checks on their employees?
#Shocking!

The service is exceptional with every part of the environment making you feel like you are in heaven.
I loved the heated pool and especially the steaming rooms in the gentlemen’s changing room.
Staff was very welcoming and the massaging team gave an excellent service, made me feel renewed and restored again.
Nothing to complain about except just wanting to have spent more time in here.

East Rand Mall
Shopping mall
Shopping
The East Rand Mall is a vast shopping complex situated just 7km away from OR Tambo International Airport. The mall boasts of many popular brand-name retailers, supermarkets, and a movie theater all under one roof. Additionally, the mall has 175 stories and offers numerous entertainment options. It features spacious passages but can get overcrowded during peak hours.
Grand and beautiful mall, well kept, and has several shops you'd like. Worth a visit.
Wonder Mahembe — Google review
The mall is quite big.A smart mall too,but would've been nice if it wasn't all flat, viewing the surrounding area in it would've been nice. Love the restaurants area, pretty sure you can find your favourite restaurant there. overall it's a great Mall..

We had an excellent experience at East Rand Mall. Lots of parking available, covered and standard. Parking wasn't expensive. Lots of security staff all over. Lots of shops and some excellent restaurants. It was spotless and very presentable. The last time I visited this mall was when I was in school. Lots of changes, and they are all great. Easy to navigate as well. Very impressive 👏

One of thee great malls in Gauteng Province. Huge enough to get all you want yet not get lost. A number of entrances/exit. You won't easily loose your car parking area as well. Peace of mind security wise. Parking price a bit high though😀. 5/7min drive to OR Tambo International Airport...about 5min drive to Emperors Palace. 20/30min to Carnival City.

It is a very big mall and has majority of the stores you would expect from a mall. The is undercover parking and outdoor parking.
Strange thing though but they lock majority of the sliding doors at night…. I parked upstairs and didn’t know how to get out lol. Eventually I got help.
Fundiswa Ngomani — Google review
The East Rand Mall is a great place to shop. There is a huge selection of stores and plenty of secure parking. The passages are wide and spacious but can get quite crowded when the mall is very busy. Be sure to wear your step counter because you're sure to get your 10 000 steps in here! The mall is all on one level so no escalators or lifts to navigate, except from one of the multi-level parking areas and there are large wheelchair friendly ramps wherever there are a few steps.
Christie-Lee Kruger — Google review
Wow! Very nice spacious mall with a variety of franchises operating there. Good deals all over, you don't have to go around to other outlets or malls. Food outlets can be found who can provide a variety of tastes. There cherry of it all is the cinema which has the latest releases in terms of entertainment.

Wonderful shopping experience. It's so nice to have Milky Lane back, and old time favorite, smaller than when they were by the movie section, but still same great taste. Sneaker factory also a great new edition of the TFG Group, Multiple brands of tekkies at affordable prices 👌

The mall is a shopper's paradise! It houses a vast array of stores, from popular brands to boutique shops, catering to all tastes and budgets. Ample parking, clean facilities, and a variety of dining options. Family-friendly with entertainment options like a cinema. A one-stop destination for shopping, dining, and entertainment!

Very good store selection. Parking ticket pay machines need to be upgraded, they still battle to take new money notes. Toilets look pretty with door wraps to brighten up the space, but not very clean by cinema side. Would hope to see more for kids to do here in school holidays other then the cinema and go karting outside in parking lot area. I love that they always trying to upgrade this mall and give it a face-lift.

The parking area is safe. A pleasant shopping experience.

I had a great time at the mall, most shops close late, a variety of shops and a good experience. The parking payment kiosk is outed for such a big modern mall. They need to upgrade them to allow card facilities.

Great mall. It's an all you want type of mall. Need furniture, need groceries, pet supplies, clothes, homeward shopping, entertainment. Can't even mention all they have, go check it out for yourself. It's in Boksburg, and there's easy access to transport.

When you are in the East Rand this is definitely a place to visit. The vibe in the mall is electrifying. There are a very wide range of shops. The entertainment area for kids is excellent, you can leave your kids there and they have supervision. The restaurant around the mall is of high quality. And the walkways are wide enough to accommodate a lot of people. The atmosphere around the mall is amazing.

Shongololo Premium Lounge - Plaza Premium Network (International, Terminal A)
$$$$affordable

Airport Lounges
Nice quiet lounge and very less crowded hence ideal to spend time before the flight. Very good food menu and staff is also very courteous and helpful. I like the chairs, they are very comfortable to relax. Overall a good experience
Rahul Parab — Google review
There is literally nothing even close to premium about this place.
The food is microwave meals?!
The Wi-Fi is awful, and that’s without anyone being here.
Do not pay money for this.
Cliff Hazell — Google review
The Shongololo Lounge is probably one of the worst business class airport lounges I've been to, but certainly not the worst. The lounge is dated, and the facilities need to be better managed. The gents had no paper towels the entire time that I was in there, and that was for 4 hours. The toilets in the public area were cleaner than the gents in the lounge. Wifi is available, and it was pretty stable and fast. The food selection looked pretty terrible, with quite a lot of food left on display uncovered. The minestrone soup in the pot was actually cold. However, they do have quite a good selection of wraps and sandwiches in the chiller that tasted good after heating up in the microwave or griddle. The beverage selection was pretty decent, offering wines, hard liquor, beers, ciders, juices, tea, coffee, still, and sparking water. I wouldn't pay to use this lounge, but if your choice of travel includes access, it's better than nothing.
Ivan Loh — Google review
If you have a priority pass then this is the best lounge that you have access to. While they have some restrictions in place there is still a good drinks and food selection available from sushi to hot meals and of course Amerula liquor.
Carl Muies — Google review
Good food and drinks selection. Quieter than the other lounge.
Improvements - need more power outlets to charge the phones and easier credentials for wifi 🙂.
Bob S — Google review
Sorry but it wasn’t great. Crowded lounge, locked showers, cook your own microwave meals. Various charging points didn’t work. Unfriendly, overworked staff, bland decor. Not fun but I guess better than outside. Certainly didn’t feel like luxury.
Queen B — Google review
My husband enjoys this lounge more than I do cos you can have a solid meal here. A variety of drinks to choose from. This lounge accepts priority pass
Jozi Girl — Google review
Nothing to write home about. Toilets are dirty, cannot use the showers, poor food and the place truly looks worn down. Absolutely nothing premium about the lounge.
Jaco Delport — Google review
Worst experience ever as a traveler. Food was disgusting. Space needs fixing, lacks maintenance. Staff are trying hard, but someone with an understanding of food customer care need to take over that space. One walks in there and it's total disappointment, don't eat any of the cooked meals unless you want to be disappointed.Only the premade prepacked food is actually worth it. Drinks are definitely recommended. Unfortunately whoever manages that's space is useless. The other lounges are way better.
Lester Morton — Google review
Comfortable and convenient lounge when transiting OR Tambo airport. Service was great, food (I didn't really eat) looked delicious and fresh. I could easily find a seat with a power cord.
The only distraction was the occasional loud-talking pax who came and went. People seem to forget we don't all need to hear all their conversations. Other than that, a lovely place to relax for a couple of hours!
Sue Heim — Google review
Atmosphere- Average atmosphere,
Food- you will get packed food, so that if you dont have time to bite, you can enjoy food in flight. Other food menu is also OK.
Service- the service is average, you have to follow up.
Shower facility is a available, the toiletries are below average compared to other lounges at Jo'Burg Airport.
Jeyvent Mali — Google review
If you arrive between shifts its not that welcoming. Around 15:30 in my case. Empty glasses and plates and bar area not inviting. However around 30 mins later looked more inviting.
Its more prepackaged snacks. And 3 choices of hot meals.
Jan Minnaar — Google review
A good place to rest. Charging facilities for phones and tablets. Only challenge a far walk to get there. It is not in the main traffic, one needs to go to a lower level towards international departures, down escalators.
Rolf Papsdorf — Google review
Service given was great. The interior is structured in such a way that it feels very relaxed and private and the patrons are not in each other's faces with little private seating areas dotted around the room. Free wifi is always a plus and the food provided was also great tasking and good quality
Acrobranch Centurion is an ideal destination for families seeking adventure. Despite the potential disappointment of bad weather, the restaurant provides a warm and welcoming atmosphere with delectable cuisine prepared by skilled chefs. The playground offers exciting courses such as green and blue courses that are both challenging and enjoyable, with helpful staff providing support throughout. Acrobranch Centurion is highly recommended for anyone interested in trying new activities, and employees excel at advising visitors on their options.
It was an exciting and thrilling experience. Very friendly as well as helpful staff. Especially with children.

Its a lovely place to go to especially when the market is open. The price you pay is quite costly especially when you're an entire family and you'd expect them to give you gloves that they say you need. You have to pay for them which I think is ridiculous. The restaurant there is also lovely, however, you battle to find a table as most of them are reserved. I understand that reservations are good but as far as im concerned, if there is a family there wanting a table, first come first serve. They'd rather have an empty table waiting for people than to serve those who are already there. No cash is accepted so please make sure you have your bank cards.

Slacking on Safety.
Earlier today we signed up our 7 year old daughter for the big zip line.
Before reaching the final platform my daughter got stuck on the way up, as she was unable to release the safety clamp devices (After a later discussion with her, I found out that she was never briefed on how to release the clamp, only on how to clip it on).
We had to call someone from the bottom to go up and assist her.
When she finally reached the top "start" platform, there was at least 5 children there, without any supervision from an Acrobranch employee.
Children were clipping themselves onto the zip line without any safety checking and going down the zip line.
We stopped our daughter from clipping onto the zip line, while I reported the incident to staff.
The staff member was unaware that no one was on the platform supervising.
Granted he went up to take over.
About an hour later just before closing time, I noticed again, that kids were at the start platform, clipping themselves onto the zip line without a safety check from staff, before going down it.
Great Venue, been here before, but the lack of safety it a non-negotiable, an accident waiting to happen.

I highly recommend you do this. The instructors are helpful and always around. It was a real challenge for me but nothing beats finishing the course.
The venue is beautiful and picturesque with restaurants all over to suit every need.
Go to Acrobranch you won't regret it.

It's great fun for adults and kids alike. The family package is the best deal for a family of 4 with at least 1 child as it comes with gloves and a major discount. Exhilarating and the Big Zip was a great icing on the cake.

The Big Red Barn is a great place for fun activities for the adventurous at heart. Nice family spot with yummy food at the restaurant, live music on Sundays, Ziplining, acrobranching, hike and bike trails. Great for young and old who love the outdoors.

The Austin Roberts Bird Sanctuary is a nature reserve in Pretoria, South Africa that offers wetlands with many bird species. It's also a popular spot for Sunday afternoon picnics.
Visiting the Austin Roberts Bird Sanctuary is a must if you feel like escaping from the tumult of city life. Although closely situated to Brooklyn Mall, the sanctuary is peaceful and tranquil, creating the illusion of being in a bird hide in the Kruger National Park. The hide is clean and well maintained, and the guard on duty is always friendly. There is no clearly demarcated parking area, but there is space outside the gate. No fees either!
DuToit McLachlan — Google review
A very relaxing place that you can visit daily. It has a pond and a bird watching area. Best to go early morning or late afternoon to enjoy a real birding experience.

Wonderful and so peaceful with the beautiful birds and nature so near. Great food, the very best lemon merengue and excellent service.
Nelia Van Zyl — Google review
The food is lovely and portion sizes March the venue description.
The tables and decks are not kept and is worn.
The pond is filled with sand and the water birds and garble fish competes for space in the shallow, muddy water.
The museum is dated and displays are weathered, but at
least the Mahem makes for good photos..
Andre Visser — Google review
Nice bird hide, nice place to visit.
Do struggle to get access to the rest of the park as you apparently need an apartment, but the document at the gate states you only need appointments for guided tours.
Think summer months will be better to visit as bird activity isn't great.
If someone knows how to get access to the rest of the sanctuary please let me know
Jaco De Beer — Google review
Stressed, go for a stroll around Austin Roberts or dit on the deck of the Blue Crane restaurant and have something to drink and eat while watching the birds having a ball on and around the dam.
Take many stunning bird photos.
Its a real peaceful place to be in the heart of the very busy Pretoria

What a beautiful and relaxing place in the busy city of Pretoria.
You can always visit the Blue Crane restaurant while you admire the birdlife from a distance.

The hide itself is nice. Just a pity that entering the main sanctuary is a real pain. There must be a better system for day visitors to access the main sanctuary.

This is a beautiful peaceful oasis in the city. If you love nature and birding or are having a hectic day and need to see some tranquility. This is the place to go!

Pleasant enough, and good for birding. Rather run down. The adjacent restaurant is very good. All-in-all, well worth a visit with easy access from Pretoria

We loved sitting in the quiet hide. We saw brown hooded and malachite kingfischers, bronze mannequins, a red knobbed coot and moorhens besides spectacled weavers and bishop birds. Also grey crowned crane and blue Cranes, large terrapins and tortoises. Thank you to the staff on duty there!

The Irene Village Mall is a leafy outdoor shopping village with more than 90 shops and restaurants, as well as a cinema. It was previously closed due to the hurricane, but reopened in mid-October and plans to continue bringing visitors a relaxing evening filled with delicious food and refreshing drinks. Keep an eye on their Facebook page to stay up to date with the latest news and information.
A quaint, laid-back mall, providing several well-known brands, but still maintaining a bit of that 'village' atmosphere. Since about the time of the onset of Covid, parking in the mall is free, even in the basement covered parking lot. Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations are conveniently positioned in the basement parking to cater to a growing trend. There is an escalator (as well as l a lift) from the basement to the ground floor, leading out onto a picturesque centre court with a fountain that is lit up, especially at night, and that sees children enjoying themselves mostly in the hot summer months. The udder side of a cow is another focal point, and kids are allowed to scramble up the bovine sculpture for a closer look and feel. Recently, several of the stores have been upgraded, and a few even relocated within the shopping precinct. A pleasant, easygoing experience, with undercover tables linked to the available restaurants giving one a view of the water fountains - a boon for keeping an eye on the kids playing in or around it. A very pleasant venue for evening drinks together with a bite to eat after doing your shopping.

This was my first visit to Irene Village Mall despite driving by many times. I love the open skyline between the shops. It's clean and well kept. Really enjoyed my first but definitely not the last visit to Irene Village Mall 🙂.

Irene Village Mall.
Wow, what a beautiful mall.
It's not too big and it's really clean.
It also has a village type of vibe going on. When you walk in by the entrance of the mall, you feel like you are walking into a village. Aww 😍🥺💛
What I love about this mall is the fact that it's not too busy. You are able to shop in peace and without bumping into anyone. The mall is so peaceful 😭😭❤️✨ unfortunately it's far from home but if I lived nearby, I'd go there every chance I get.
But a disadvantage here would be that it doesn't have a lot of stores like your popular malls do but if you are looking for basic needs then ah, sorted! It has various restaurants that you can visit, like Rocco Mama's, Wimpy, Ocean Basket etc. ❤️ If you are a movie lover, there is a Ster-Kinekor ✨✨
There is also a carousel for the young ones to enjoy and also a mini train for children to enjoy. ⛲💦
Catt Machete — Google review
This mall gives a European feel to the shopping experience and has good quality shops even though it is a rather small mall. It also has good quality restaurants with a very nice open air area and a water feature where some restaurants are located. It provides a more relaxed shopping experience and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Parking is free, which is welcomed.
Kirsten van der Merwe — Google review
As the name implies the mall has a village atmosphere. A wide variety of shops, restaurants and entertainment. The central square with water feature is particularly popular with young children.

A lovely mall! Irene Village Mall has a great mix of shops and restaurants, and a wonderful outdoor shopping experience.
While it doesn’t have all the shops you’ll probably be looking for (but honestly, the ones that do are too big anyway). The only thing that keeps it from being a 5-star mall is the dead average Pick n Pay.
But, they do offer electric car charging, which is awesome!
The mall offers one thing that no other mall does … birds! In the evening, at sunset, you can stand on the balcony at the cinemas, and watch as thousands of birds fly between the tree-lined plaza. Honestly, it’s magical!

I always love going to this mall. The parking is free and even the under cover parking is free. There are plenty of nice shops available, and because the mall is open air and not under an enclosed roof, you never feel crowded.
The Pick 'n pay has just been revamped, and it's beautiful.

Carnival City Casino and Entertainment World is an exciting resort located in a circus-themed complex. It boasts a range of dining options, event venues, gaming facilities and spa services. The establishment follows strict COVID-19 protocols to ensure the safety of its visitors. However, it charges R10 per person on weekends which may be unexpected for those on a tight budget or travelling with a large group.
This year I went to Carnival City twice. I must say that environment at the restuarants, particularly the Spur was conducive and accommodating to the type of informal - yet critical - business engagement I needed to have at very short notice. The staff were excellent. The management understood my needs and delivered per excellence! I shall return 👌🏽
Tumaole Mohlaoli — Google review
Good COVID 19 protocol followed. R10 per person entrance on weekends is relatively new and can throw people off especially if you're on a budget with 5 plus people in your car. Overall, it is clean, great service from different shops and the outside area with the rides is well controlled and relatively safe. Definitely worth going for play dates.

Really nice place and design but over crowded with people. You can barely walk outside the casino, there's just too much going on. But I really loved the design of the place and the casino inside wasn't too bad. I just lost a lot of money 🤣 so you're welcome! They have the usual set up of restaurants, movies and the casino.

Wonderful place for individuals and families gathering for a variety of activities of enjoyment. Wonderful management team, workforce as well as security personnel. The place is always running despite the challenges posed by persistent load shedding. The addition of an Ice Ring on top of a variety of restaurants, kids indoor and outdoor play center, the Cinema as well as live musical events makes the place an ideal place to choose whilst in the East Rand. Carnival City Casino is a true definition of Ekhurhuleni (A place of calmness and peace).

Such a gem and great value for money. Innocent was very friendly and helpful and went the extra mile to help us secure a room upgrade. Rooms are surprisingly big, especially coming to Carnival City straight after the Cabanas at Sun City. Just wish the smoking policy would be better enforced as smokers don't seem to realize it's a public space around the pool

Nice place to be whether alone or with family & friends. There is Cinema for movies, restaurants and games for children. The place has convenient working hours with other facilities running 24 hours. Carnival City is still the best place to be, the only challenge of going there during the week is the queue for entering the premises where you have to pay a fee...you'll only find 1 boom gate is working in that day...everything else is incredible!!!...if you've never been there, try it out.

Great time as always at Carnival, the only sad part is all the beautiful water features are gone, most noticeably at the front entrance. The bowling and arcade games are much better with the renovations done but sadly it feels as if it's missing something, especially by the casino side.
The maintenance is also not being done at all as all the paint is faded.
Bowling was at least 5 stars.

It's amazing and super affordable, really! The tokens are as cheap as R2 so for R100 you get 50 tokens and your child can play at their own pace. They now have an extended playing area which was a small area when I last went in 2021 whereby game tickets start from as little as R10. I swear, it is now a mini Goldreef city 😍. I loved the experience and entertainment which is what keep us going back with my friends and family.

Rietvlei Nature Reserve is a large and untouched nature reserve in Gauteng, South Africa, home to four of The Big Five game animals - black wildebeest, buffalo, cheetah, and lion. Visitors can explore the reserve at their own leisure from the comfort of their car on easy day-trips. There are also guided hikes and horse trails available for those who want to get out more deeply into the reserve.
Must visit game reserve for the whole family. Much to see in terms of tons of bird species and plenty of animals that include the hippo and rhino. There are picnic and braai spots inside for relaxing. These spots must be vacated at 6pm, with the main gate closing at 7.
We got a bit lost inside on our way out because the roads are not properly marked with sensible directions. If you're gonna exit and are not too sure about the route, I recommend you start moving well on time.
Wonder Mahembe — Google review
Very well looked after nature reserve, just on the edge of the suburbs of Pretoria. There is a large dam and lots of grasslands as well as some small rivers and reed beds. There are buffalo, cheetah and other wildlife to see, but it is probably the bird life that makes this place so special. With a diversity of habitats you should easily able to see at least 50 different species in a few hours if you drive to different spots. There are also several well maintained birdhides where you can sit and admire the scenery while you lookout for birds. There is also a nice restaurant/coffee-shop where you can get a light snack and refreshments and enjoy sitting out in the peaceful gardens.

Support an excellent nature reserve right in the heart of Gauteng. Easy access from the main routes and they offer a number of facilities along with some excellent game viewing. Very good picnic/ braai facility with ablutions. A tea garden with good coffee or hot chocolate on those cold mornings. Self drive and game drive vehicles. Some unique animals if you are lucky and you can be home in time for lunch if you like.

What a wonderful surprise!
This tiny nature reserve seems well stocked and beautiful.
The roads are clearly marked and easy to drive.
There are several bird hides and loads to see.
There are picnic spots by the dam, and we loved that it was just a small drive out of the city.
R71 per adult.

A pleasant surprise. Though there was a queue we didn't regret waiting. Saw many animals up close including a rhino. Good viewing for the fee paid.

One of my favourite “in the wild” places to relax and unwind. Perfectly located between Kempton Park and Pretoria offering that “outdoor wildlife experience” without having to drive for hours. I haven’t been disappointed yet.
The birdlife is amazing. The hides are perfect for sunset photography. The cheetah’s are always on the list of animals to find. So far I have seen them 3 times… And with the cubs only a few months old it’s the perfect time to visit.
For the more adventurous there’s the wildlife walks and overnight camps. The tar roads are good, however, some of the sand roads need a little attention, especially if you’re in a sedan.
Tickets are purchased on arrival, but credit card only. No cash!

Looking for some quiet time in Nature just 30min out of Johannesburg? Then head out early to Rietvlei Nature Reserve in Pretoria. This beautiful reserve is a bird watchers dream, with tons of wild life too, buffalo, zebra, eland, jackal, serval as well as cheetah! You can only get out at demarcated areas and hides. There is a wonderful picnic site by the dam with loads of seating and braai facilities and there is a coffee shop that offers limited meals. Conservation fees are about R62 for adults (less for children and pensioners). Pack a picnic and head out for a lovely day away from the city hustle.
Don’t forget to pack binoculars and cameras. You can also download a basic bird and animal list from Google for the kids to mark off while driving around.

We visited on a weekend in September 2023 before heading to the airport for our flight home. It was not too busy. There was a short wait to get a ticket, but the roads weren't too bad. It is a nice reserve to drive around and see wildlife. We found the signage extremely bad. This picture of a road sign, with missing arrows and letters peeling off was typical. The bathrooms were pretty bad too. This place could definitely use some maintenance.
Arthur de Wolf — Google review
Spent a relaxing afternoon driving around the reserve. It isn’t too big so it is a great way to introduce children to a game drive and the love of wild animals. The bird hides and lookout points were a highlight for the children and gave them an opportunity to stretch their legs. I was a bit disappointed with the coffee shop playground. I hope that it gets a revamp so that visiting children can take a break from the drive and recharge. I also hope that the friendly donkeys get better roof in the donkey pen. Overall it was a great afternoon driving through grasslands and wetlands. We saw rhino, zebra, waterbuck, guineafowl, blesbok and many birds. We just enjoyed being in nature.

Such a peaceful retreat, with a huge abundance of water, wildlife & birds.
Extremely affordable.
Roads are well kept but being mainly dirt roads, heavy rain falls can effect the condition thereof.
Photographers paradise.
Braai/picnic area & coffee shop.
Organized hikes & game drives.
Due to the recent heavy rain, some of the dirt roads have been closed off to the public

On my first visit I saw quite a variety of the animals. The clouds also played along to make the scenery more spectacular. Even heard some jackals while driving around the reserve.

The price has gone up and is now currently more than what they indicate on the website. If I remember correctly, it is now R72 per adult to enter the nature reserve. I recommend going early to avoid standing in a queue to enter, which is what we did. Make sure to pack lots of fluids to drink and don't forget a camera or binoculars. A very nice day trip for the whole family!

I have visited Rietvlei twice in the last three months for birding. The place is well maintained, with clean toilets and hides. Unfortunately, the reed's around some of the hides are overgrown, making it difficult to see any water birds. The birds can be heard but not seen. I believe that if the reed's were cut a bit it would allow for better birding. The park itself has a good amount of animals and plenty of bird life. Roads are good in the dry season, but i think that in the wet season some of the dirt roads will be a challenge to normal cars. Picnic sites are clean and well maintained. It is a pleasure to visit this park.

Rietvlei Nature Reserve is a gem on the edge of town in Pretoria East. This quaint, small and stunning reserve is the perfect place for a day visit no matter the season. It has a nice selection of wildlife, often is the home of a cheetah or six, and has an abundance of birdlife that make it a birder's must visit. Animals are relaxed, and the "Friends of Rietvlei" keep the reserve well looked after. It has a beautifully selection of hides, picnic areas, a nice "Coffee Shop" where you can enjoy drinks and food, and the tar roads are well kept, and most of the dirt roads are in good condition too but some sections can be a bit challenging for an urban car especially after rain. The reserve is very popular on weekends, so things can be a bit messy on Mondays and Tuesdays around picnic areas, but usually by Wednesday everything is beautifully pristine again. If you do enjoy this reserve or want to become an avid visitor, join "Fiends of Rietvlei" membership to support the volunteers who look after the reserve, or join their efforts yourself.

Its a nice little urban reserve. Self drive through the reserve. many animals but we saw zebras, waterbugs, ostrich, few rhino, and beautiful bird life. The restaurant had delicious food. But was not very clean. Its an old farm house that needs a good clean.

I absolutely loved the place and the beauty it holds within. It is well maintained and kept clean. They also have some game animals too but none that are carnivorous or dangerous. It is massive and have things that you can do such as calm, quiet drives, hideouts, lapas and bomas and the dam is accessible for being on the water. It is definitely a family orientated place and the kids will be able to enjoy the day and have the best sleep that night.

The Hazel Food Market is a Pretoria farmers' market that offers fresh produce, meat, breads, prepared food and more. It's open Saturdays from 8AM to 12PM and is located adjacent to the Greenlyn Village Centre.
The place is an absolute gem. It offers a variety of food and craft. The food is resonantly priced. We had the pork belly (to die for) and Asian fried rice.
It offers a variety of food, from shawarma, to fried rice to pasta, samosas, bunny chow. Plus there is a lot of thrift shops. Some sell amazing jackets.

If you have been a regular supporter of the Hazel Food Market then you might agree that it's not like it use to be. It's still a great Saturday morning outing with the family including the fur family members are also welcome. Food stalls are the main attraction, although there's a wide variety of different products and craft stalls in between. The layout is what puts me off. There is ample security watched parking available. Not wheelchair friendly. Highly recommend visiting them next time you are in the area.

Had an amazing balloon ride with my parents. Very exciting experience with beautiful views. You never know what you're going to see and that makes it more exciting than anything. Besides that, this bussiness is runned by people that will do anything to make the experience the best it can be. Even after the balloon ride they will take the time to bring you back and whenever there is something to see they will take the time to stop and tell you everything about it. Altough it is pretty expensive, this is a definite must to do when you are in the game reserve!

Pretoria National Botanical Gardens is a botanical garden covering an area of 9 hectares in the city of Pretoria, South Africa. The gardens are home to indigenous plants and flowers from all over South Africa, as well as a variety of bird species. The gardens are divided into two sections by a high quartzite outcrop, presenting different natural moods.
A really well kept national treasure. It's huge, I was not able to go through all of it but it's such a beautiful garden with a variety of plants and flowers. Be sure to have picnic blankets and pillows for a relaxed afternoon
Dineo Mokgehle — Google review
Went on a Saturday afternoon, surprisingly not packed and ample parking. Bring a card to pay for your entrance fee. Pack a picnic, I found there was more than enough shaded benches so we didn’t even use our picnic blanket (maybe on busy days it may come in handy). The bathroom were very clean.
Phume Madubeko — Google review
Had a great time strolling through the gardens on a weekday afternoon. Easy access with plenty of safe parking. Good variety of plants although it wasn't too colorful when we went in early March. Lots of green however which is a nice departure from the city landscape. Staff is super friendly and helpful and the entrance fees are extremely cheap. The waterfall and a nice easy hike with some elevation is a great way to breakup the flat areas with the hilly areas.

Nice walk and outdoor for adults, more than kids. I'd suggest a jungle gym or two for the little ones to make it more entertaining for them as there isn't much to occupy a almost 3 year old. Restaurant looks nice, looking forward to trying it some time.

What a great day we had for a picnic. It was unbelievably hot and luckily there were multiple treats available for us to relax under.
Please is neat and clean. Some animals around.
Awill definitely recommend for an outing with the family. There is a place to have lunch and also a waterfall. There is also a hiking trail if you are up for the challenge.

I'm not sure where these other local guides come from, with their 5 star ratings, and I hardly see flowers in a bloom session. It's very dry, and beaches are all written on. It seems not even bothered to try to fix that, and fresh cuts in trees, ash amongst the nature just laying there like no tomorrow, can see how some plants are dying around it.
This place should rather change its name to something else it's become more of a venue and graffiti crafting in benches and trees, unfriendly at the gate, they definitely love their phones way more than helping the customer, really bad attitude. At least the grass is green. Hardly see wildlife, but I guess all the clubbing performances chased them away. But for only a picnic, I'd say it's worth it some nice big trees for shade.

We had a picnic and walked around. Beautiful gardens. On a Tuesday it is free to enter for pensioners, you only have to have your ID with you to enter.

This is by far a jewel in the heart of Pretoria, these gardens takes you away to an oasis that only you can create in your mind. I feel that every time when I go for a parkrun or trail run that the gardens have a way of calming me down and letting me enjoy the moment. If you ever get the opportunity please make a point of taking a walk or even enjoying a picnic

The Pretoria National Botanical Gardens is a very nice place to visit. Their facilities are well-kept and clean. It's a lovely place to take the kids for a weekend picknick. You can also hold birthday parties and celebrations there.
The relaxing environment is lovely and it feels like you are away from the busy city life. They also have beautiful hiking trails.

The garden is well kept and a delight for anyone who loves nature and indigenous plants. The waterfall in the forest was a wonderful surprise as it looks very natural, we even saw tadpoles at the bottom. The little cafe was friendly and refreshing after a long walk through the grass lands (which was full of birds and butterflies).

This is quite a vast but peaceful park with its various blooms, waterfalls and its variety of greenery. It is a place where you can spend the whole day just taking endless photos. There is a run organised there which happens on a Wednesday every month. Nonetheless, this is definitely a romantic place to be.

Glad I made the effort to come to the family picnic day that the school has.The environment is great and it is doing me good to be out in the open air. I can hear the traffic on the highway, but with these conditions it is soothing background "music".

Beautiful Area for Parkrun. I use this opportunity to pray while doing my 5 km walk in the middle of nature.
its a lovely environment for family gatherings and picnicking. They also have a restaurant(Milkplum Cafe) within the vicinity that also caters to private events.

This place is beautiful, so great for a tranquil walk trough the sounds of nature, reading about the different plants and trees, just gorgeous! The happy birds manage to drown out the sounds of cars outside. Stunning for a picnic with loved ones or a blissful sit with a book under one of the beautiful trees if you fancy some time to yourself.

The garden Ludwig's Roses is a beautiful place to visit, with fields of roses and the friendly staff who are always happy to see visitors. The rose kitchen offers unique rose dishes and light meals, while the party venue offers picnic baskets and high tea. There is also an outdoor play area for children.
A truly lovely spot to have breakfast or lunch. The menu is simple but the food is delicious. Affordable prices. Great play area for kids. Beautiful to spend some time walking amongst the roses and picking them to buy according to your taste. Quick service and friendly staff.

Huge, very beautiful Rose Farm. The owner is hands-on and has many years of experience in growing roses and a wealth of knowledge.
Perfect place for the 5km Parkrun on a Saturday morning.

I took my and my boyfriend's mothers to Ludwig's Rose's for a meander amongst the roses. We ultimately couldn't resist buying a rose pot or two. Afterwards we visited their shop with a variety of rose inspired items. We ended our visit with a lunch at The Rose Kitchen. I was pleasantly surprised when our food arrived. Their Rose Soda and Rose Milkshake is sublime and their Asparagus and Bacon Quiche with three salads that I had was exceptional. The portions are decent and the menu, yet small, is reasonably priced. Our waitress was friendly and the restaurant's atmosphere is peacefull and calming. We will definitely return.

Third visit in the last year. Absolutely splendid. Rows of rows of vivid colour and fragrant roses.
The Rose Kitchen is equally admired. Scrumptious treats, thirst quenching drinks and best of all, it is done with a smile. Our waiting staff was Blessing - a wonderful addition to this place - cheerful and just lovely.
I would also like to commend the nursery staff. All very friendly and helpful. A rose is cut for a child to smell. Such gentlemen.
Overall, I highly recommend this gem

Had a wonderful experience taking my mom and friends to the October Rose Festival!
The blooms were lovely, we enjoyed the cute displays set up for the festival and adored spending the day surrounded by roses and a soft breeze.
We enjoyed the little tractor ride through the rose fields, it was a nice break from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The staff is very helpful and kind, I got many kind compliments form the lovely ladies working at the Gin table and the restaurant. You'll be pleasantly surprised at how beautiful the ladies restroom I'd (and smelled fantastic!) Make sure to grab one of the great smelling sanitizers they sell.
Would highly recommend getting the Rose Milkshake! It was delicious 😍💕
The Dinokeng Game Reserve, located 60km north of Pretoria, is a conservation area that features free-roaming Big 5 such as elephants, rhinos, leopards, buffalo and lions. The reserve offers both lodges and self-drive safaris for visitors to explore the vast expanse of wildlife. With well-maintained routes and designated stops for stretching one's legs, it provides an opportunity to witness the positive impact of responsible conservation efforts.
The lodge we stayed at was just sooo beautiful. What made our stay even more amazing was being woken up by the sounds of lions roaring at 3am! We booked a guided game drive and were incredibly lucky to see lions.. We've done a few self drives before and haven't had much luck with sightings of the big5.
Sharon Thabang — Google review
We had a lovely self-drive around the reserve. Didn't see any big 5 but lots of birdlife and buck. A 4x4 makes some part of the park more accessible. We had lunch at a lovely picnic spot along the river Bank. I would recommend camping if you want to have a chance to encounter the Big 5 as you'll have more time to explore the park.

Simply: Must visit! We had an evening game drive and morning bush walk. Guides were amazing! They know what are they working with: almost every flower, every animal.
Thank you for taking extra mile by picking us up and taking us to airport next day!
I highly recommend staying in a tent, that's experience out of this world.

We stayed at Zebra Bush Camp and stayed at one of the unfenced sites.
What an absolutely wonderful weekend of relaxation with friends, sitting under the stars, around a camp fire, just chatting.
Go to sleep with the sound of lions roaring, jackals and hyenas.
Just thoroughly enjoyable and catching your breath, whilst only being 1h30 from JNB

The self drive, is extremely boring…very hard to see the big 5. You would need a 4x4. Buying the lock and engraving it was cool.
Sagren Moodley — Google review
It’s a great big 5 reserve. I saw a lot of animals. There is beautiful Bushveld scenery, lodges and camping spots. It’s very convenient for a weekend getaway from Johannesburg and Pretoria. It’s just close to Hammanskraal and the highway. So if you stay on that side of the reserve you can still get noise. Also even if you stay at a resort or camping spot you still have to pay extra to get a permit for the self-drive routes to view animals.
Gerhard Stewart — Google review
We booked at Jimmy's place. We had a great weekend. Our place was clean and we had everything we needed.
The only thing disappointing was the guy who was assisting us. He didn't explain clearly the cost of game drive but we learned a lesson. Next time we will find out more info before check in

Great idea to get out of the city!
You will find something to match your expectations but in general the vibe is not good between the different venues and operators.
Just drive and enjoy. Pack your own refreshments for the day and enjoy the views from your vehicle.
Restrictions everywhere in place!
Get the permit and go slow!
The bush is inviting. The service providers need money.
Johan Grundling — Google review
This is possibly one of the best conservation ideas around and you can see the positive inpact it has. There is a lot of game to see and the self drive route is well set out and maintained. The "get out and stretch" sites is a welcome and nice break from the car and gives the legs a bit of a stretch. This will be a regular outing for the family as it is realy close to Pretoria and offers what we need.
Cornelis Lubbe — Google review
Promised Big 5 only saw a Big 1. Rhinos…. That was that…. Yes they do have sone wild animals but I don’t think the big 5 is in there. But the reserve is not crowded so very pleasant in that way. I don’t think I will make a trip that way anytime soon…
Jacob Nare — Google review
Today I had a fantastic time at the dinoking reserve. I booked a guided tour at the mongena game lodge. The price of 400 Rand for a 2,5 hours tour incl. one drink and snacks was fair. The ranger could answer all my questions and made this tour informative. We saw two rhinos, a group of giraffes, three beautiful cheetahs, around 100 gnus, impalas, antelopes, etc...
Perfect for a daytrip from Johannesburg or Pretoria.

Dinokeng Game Reserve is by far one of the best reserves I have visited. Literally from the moment you enter the reserve (I enter mainly at the Ndlovu gate and sometimes the Tau gate), you see wildlife! They have the big 5 in the reserve. The reserve is clean and well maintained. Some of the roads you need to drive slower but can be easily done by a normal car!
Entrance is not expensive at all, considering what you can see in the reserve!
Riaan Greeff — Google review
Absolutely fantastic morning game drive at Dinokeng! Once again, the reserve impressed with the variety of wildlife sightings.
Kieran, our ranger, was exceptional. His knowledge and passion for the animals truly made the experience even more enjoyable.
He was very attentive to us, ensuring everyone had a chance to see the sights and learn interesting facts.
Highly recommend!

We went for a 2 hour game drive and it was hard to find animals, but when we did it was very rewarding. The highlight of our drive was a male white rhino who was kind of running away from our vehicle. I hope you will have better luck than us and enjoy Dinokeng.

Great for proximity to Johannesburg. Game viewing differs in quality (dense bush and fairly flat)
The Mall has great priced drinks!
Emlyn Bul — Google review
It's a new reserve and a relatively small one, compared to others in South Africa.
The number of animals and their size is limited due to that.
However, the guides are very nice and involved in the project, and hopefully it will grow and other land owners will join the project.

This was so much fun, we saw so much... The Place, animals and roads everything is so well taken care of. The staff here is amazingly friendly and likes to make jokes, ready to help amd give advice. We had a rainy weekend and went on the 4x4 trail, how awesome this was i cant describe we had so much fun... We also got lost as we did not follow instructions🤣 but was quickly helped and we got where we needed to be. Dinokeng will most definitly see us again and again and again, will visit them as much as we can.
Dellene Van Loggerenberg — Google review
I did not even know that this place existed. It is barely an hour’s drive from Johannesburg. There is lots of game to see and you can find the big five there. Inside the reserve you will find a lot of privately owned lodges and restaurants. Awesome place to explore. We went to Bushbaby lodge and camped for the weekend.
Gerrit Olivier — Google review
Great place for a weekend away.
Recommend a Guided Game Drive, they know where to go.
Both our guides shared a lot of knowlege with the group, things we wouldnt have seen or know if we did it on our own.
We stayed in one of the local lodges, self catering and it was perfect.
Visit the brewery for Lunch, their beer is really good.
Louis Scheepers — Google review
Beautiful game reserve with lots of game, unfortunately we did not get to see any of the big five on our self drive but lots of other animals up close. It was worth the experience. The map we bought is abit confusing to use as the orientation didn't seem to be consistent but we eventually figured it out. I would recommend that you buy the map when getting your tickets as Google maps will take you on closed/management roads.

The Springs mall management instructed ubars and bolts to drop us far from the shops we going to, I am using the crushes the mall doesn't allow ubar or bolt to drop me next to Standard bank, this is sad and it's violated my rights, that really needs to be fixed we pay for our ubar & bolts it's not fair to have dropping points, specially to us who are unable to walk long distance. We don't use taxis because we are unable to walk long distance due to medical conditions

My experience at Springs mall seeing security guards abusing elderly ppl parked at the entrance just so the lady can be able to get be lifted to her wheelchair. Doesnt make sense to go. The whole trip is just giving information by the guide about how is the process of making diamonds (you could find better on YouTube) and showing artificial, made on the ground tunel. At the end big hole in the ground. I Hope to see a REAL things, maybe a tunel down there?
Which was funny you have to declare that you are no claustrophobic (really...for small walk?) And you need to wear Snickers not sandals. Why, I wonder why... But that is beside the point - it was waist od time. That big whole and plastik "diamonds" are not worth it.

I've been to a few zip lining places and this place is ok, meets the task adequately. It is a long drive from Johannesburg so be prepared for that. It's out in the middle of no where without amenities near by, should take specific snacks of things that you need.
The zip lining it's self was ok, although not spectacular. The wind made it hard to achieve high speeds. However, the scenery is good, I imagine the hike around the gorge is worth the drive out. The folks are friendly here and there is a nice platform to hand out on and some freshly made food. I personally would not visit this again but perhaps other folks would.

While the place is beautiful once you get there. There's a lot to do. The views are amazing for nature lovers. Apparently there's a canyon for hikers. However we got lost. Please update your address on Google maps. We went there for quad bikes. But the quads are old and kept breaking down. So we did not get the full experience. The trail is nice though for thrill seekers. The place is a bit far out of PTA

We went on the Quad Safari. At R850 per person for a 2 hour 25km drive we expected a slightly better experience. The guide wasn't much of a talker nor did he bother to give anyone a quick overview of how the quads worked.
I had the only manual gearbox which worked out great as I've driven bikes before. But several of the other riders got stuck with automatics that couldn't even idle. So they had to restart the engine every few hundreds of meters. The guide's own quad smoked so bad that no-one wanted to ride directly behind him.
Something they didn't mention on the website is to bring goggles or sunglasses. The drive would've been impossible without eye cover. Talking about safety: if you have a bike helmet, I suggest you bring it as the toy hard hats they offer would be useless in a fall.
We didn't see much game but the experience of being on a dirt road on a quad with a manual gearbox made it worthwhile in the end for me.
L Cilliers — Google review
The equipment is very poorly maintained. The quad bikes are literally falling apart. They’re taped together in places and some had pieces and seats coming off during the ride.
Of 14 guys on the bikes, 6 broke down during the drive and the quads had to be left behind.
The arrows for archery are all bent and missing fins. These are cheap to replace when running a business.
There was also an employee racing through the car park on a quad bike multiple times, leaving dust in the faces of all the guests.
The only great review was the lunch which was delicious and well prepared.

Other than that my husband and I had amazing time. Siya..Reggie and Dennis thank you so much for your patience when we got scared. You guys are so warm.
I'm definitely bringing my Girlfriend's next.

Great hiking route (we dit the 5km).
Lovely scenery, walking through the gorge and through the broken down old house at the top of the gorge. Price is a bit steep for a 4 hour hike

Amazing place, the staff are super friendly and helpful.
We had a quad bike and archery session and it was great.
We've also done the hike before and the views are amazing.
100% recommend, but make sure to pack all the sunscreen and water. It can get really hot in the summer

The 8km trail @ Muningi Gorge near Cullinan, is a moderately challenging route with awesome river crossings and some stunning views. There is a nice little restaurant at the end to reward yourself with a drink and pizza. Rather pricy compared to other trails we have done @ R120 per person, but still a pleasant outing.

My husband and I did the zip line. Exstreemly afraid of hights. Have to say our 2 guides was amazingly patient with me. We had such fun. I will recomend them to anyone

A true adventure. the abseiling was scary in the beginning but once you start descending, it is rather enjoyable. The Cullinan view is truly worth it. The guide was very engaging and knowledgeable. And just when you think reaching the bottom is the end of the adventure, just wait ...

absolutely incredible!
from the booking process to the actual activities it was amazing beyond words! they even went out of their way to arrange a beautiful picnic on the cliff for our first wedding anniversary! we did the abseiling as well as the archery and it was incredible! will definitely be back to do more of the activities on offer!!! thank you so much for making our first anniversary so special!!!
The Ditsong Willem Prinsloo Agricultural Museum is a well-kept 1880 farmstead that features historic agricultural implements, live farm animals, and horse rides. It's located just 10 kilometres outside of Cullinan and is worth the stop for history buffs. The staff were friendly and helpful, making it a great place to visit for anyone interested in the area's history.
This museum has been around as long as i can remember.
Still a good experience.
Obviously slightly neglected due to the lack of support from the public.
It's still a great place to visit. Tranquil and a nice outing.

A very neat and clean museum. The exhibitions are well kept. Personnel were very friendly and helpful. Entrance fee was worth it and not at all expensive. Spent two hours browsing and walking around. Clean picnic area with braai areas also available.

Wow this place is definitely value for money. We paid R30 per adult and walked around for 3 hours. It would have been more but we were on a tight schedule. There's so much to see here and it's kept so clean and lovely. I was honoured enough to spot an owl inside the building too. My parents felt quite nostalgic seeing all of the tractors and whatnot. It was well worth the stop. The staff were very friendly and helpful too.

A trip back in time to vaaljapies and bucket wells driven by a mule. Loved hearing about the Prinsloo family and the establishment of the farm house. Beautiful furniture and a glimpse into how difficult it was to bath, cook and store food all presented by an excellent guide.
Shann de Smidt — Google review
Good venue especially for the littlies to see the history of transport from original ox wagons to open and closed horse and oxen carriages.
1800s house is in brilliant condition and all the house contents is well preserved.
Overall the infrastructure is a little run down in terms of minor maintainance.
Please take your own drinks and food there's no place to buy a cold drink or lunch as the restaurant is closed with no shop close by.
Staff is very friendly and very helpful.
All in all a nice morning out.

R104 Old Bronkhorstspruit Road, Rayton, Cullinan, 1000, South Africa
Located in Cullinan, South Africa, Colin's Horseback Africa offers a great opportunity to escape from the city and enjoy horseback riding while getting up close with wildlife. In addition to the horsetail experience, visitors can also take part in a Lion tour that highlights important conservation efforts. The lodge provides an all-around experience with quality cuisine and friendly staff. Highly recommended for couples or families looking for a unique getaway.
This was my first time visiting Colin's and doing a lion tour and it was just as magical as the first. My partner (who had never been before) absolutely loved it, and we both appreciated how knowledgable Kerissa was and how she answered all our questions! It's safe to say we fell in love with the lions and it's amazing to know that the money goes towards conserving this species and increasing their numbers (and genetic variation) in the wild! A must do if you're ever in Johannesburg. Everyone is so lovely and welcoming and it is a day you will never forget!! Thank you so much everyone.

Its like paradise. Just awesome how they care about you, the Animals and there facility. You can get pretty close to the Lions and get a lot of informations. It was just a plasure
Flo Witzen — Google review
An unforgettable experience!!
The most encouraging line that you hear just before the lions are brought out to meet you is that they have not eaten in last 24hrs and are hungry
If you love lions, you want to understand them, feel them and get to walk with them then this is the place.
It was evident to see and understand the lion behaviour when you look them in the eye or try to walk in front of the male lion you would see the dominance in the young male lion, I was nudged by him to walk behind him and while walking he let me then hold its tail and walk.
I got to hold a snake as well 😅
The reason why they have not eaten is that they are lazy … I realised later hahaha !
The whole atmosphere is so nice if you’re a wild life lover.

Great place to get away from the busy city life and enjoy very informative horsetail and get up close and personal with wildlife. The Lion tour highlights some important conservation points and provides food for thought. The cuisine highlights the whole experience and I would definitely recommend a visit or even a stay over for any couple or family. The staff are all very friendly and makes you feel at home...

We went by end of July 23...
That was a great place to discover when arriving in Johannesburg, after a long flight from Paris - France.
We had a "walk" with young lion cubs, and we ate by night around a big and wonderful fire.
Our girls (11 & 12) loved to ride horses and to follow zebras, gnous and girafe.
Special feelings when sleeping just aside of lions roaring during the night.
We really loved that stay, thank you for your time.

The Anton Smit Studio is an art studio that features sculptures and artwork. It is located on a plateau overlooking the sparkling water, and has a coffee shop which is open Monday. The sculptures are amazing, and the park is a great place to spend a day out.
Stunning day out. Venue had a coffee shop which looks lovely, but is closed on a Monday. The sculptures are incredible, the gallery and park is a great day out and break from the norm. We will most definitely be back.

A pleasant place to visit to see the sculpture of Anton Smit. From 20 December, the venue was closed to the public until after Christmas, yet the website doesn't say this. We were able to still walk around this open sculpture park, neatly laid out to display the works of Anton Smit mainly. There is a small gallery where other works can be seen. There is a small art cafe, which was closed when we visited. Best to check before you arrive. The venue gardens are well maintained and worth a visit. Access roads are in a fair condition, apart from the occasional pothole. The venue is near Bronkhorstbaai.

The Fo Guang Shan Nan Hua Temple complex, a Chinese-style Buddhist sanctuary situated around 50km east of Pretoria, is a non-profit organization that provides free tours to visitors. The facility houses monks and offers retreats, boasts a museum and tea house, and serves vegetarian lunches. The temples within the complex are awe-inspiring in size and beauty, offering an otherworldly atmosphere that cannot be fully described with words alone.
A tranquil and beautiful break from the city. The temple was quiet for a Saturday… With lovely nature sounds as you walk around. An absolute must visit if you’re into your Buddhist temples.
The staff were friendly and helpful with a nice safe environment for prayer…

Nan Hua Temple is an absolute gem! I recently had the pleasure of attending the 2024 Chinese New Year celebration there, and it was a truly mesmerizing experience. From the moment I stepped foot onto the temple grounds, I was captivated by the vibrant atmosphere and rich cultural heritage.
The temple's intricate architecture, adorned with traditional Chinese motifs, provided a stunning backdrop for the festivities. As I wandered through the temple grounds, I was greeted by the sounds of joyous celebrations and the tantalizing aroma of incense wafting through the air.
The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the Chinese New Year festivities. The temple came alive with colorful decorations, lively performances, and joyful gatherings. From dragon dances to mesmerizing martial arts displays, every moment was filled with energy and excitement.
One of the most memorable aspects of my visit was capturing the essence of the celebration through photography. The vibrant colors, intricate details, and genuine moments of connection I captured in my photos truly encapsulated the spirit of the Chinese New Year celebration at Nan Hua Temple.
Whether you're a seasoned traveler or simply looking to immerse yourself in cultural experiences, Nan Hua Temple is a must-visit destination. Its beauty, spirituality, and sense of community make it a place like no other. I highly recommend visiting during the Chinese New Year celebration for an unforgettable experience that will stay with you for years to come.

What a magical place.. The size of it alone blows you away and the temples are breathtaking. It has a otherworldly feel to it, a silence I cannot describe, you should go and experience it yourself. No vegan options at the Cafe, and no dairy alternatives for coffee. Bathrooms are clean and tidy.
Mandi van der Walt — Google review
Visited the temple with two friends.
The place needs to be rejuvenated a bit. The interiors are great, loved the smell coming from that "smoke" and loved the sculptures inside the temple, but outside... the temple could use some paint.
I really loved the long descriptions about the period of time when x and y happened, but I think they need to put a bit more of them.
You have to take your shoes off in the second temple, and phones are not allowed inside any of the temples except the smallest one that has a green roof.
You kind of have to walk small but considerable distances to end up taking a few pictures.
Getting to the toilet is a slight ride and the toilets are not that clean.
I particularly remember this one Asian lady that gave me a flyer in the second temple and explained where I had to go because she was nice.
It was a nice experience, but If you decide not to visit this place will not miss out on anything extraordinary.

A quiet, clean religious environment that is relaxing to be in. In addition, very beautiful spaces for photography. The important thing is that the temple is open on working days until 2 pm and on Saturdays and Sundays until 3 pm

What an incredible place! We saw it earlier in the year on our way to Dullstroom and so glad we decided to vist. A vast, immaculately kept property with 2 temples and very informative followers. There are 2 temples, a guesthouse and an orphanage all funded by devotees from around the world. Cannot wait for the Chinese new year celebration. I can highly recommend a visit. There is a coffee shop in the Guesthouse complex which serves very mediocre food but they would normally provide vegetarian buffet for free to visitors but not in the pandemic. You will leave with a feeling of peace and tranquility.

Chinese New Year was our reason to visit this temple.
Culturally, it was a pleasant and enjoyable experience, with great spiritual meaning too.
It’s worth the long drive to Bronkhorstspruit to view the temple, learn about Buddhism and experience a moment of inner peace and renewal.
There’s safe parking.
For Chinese New Year celebrations there were also numerous food stalls.
There’s also a museum / shop.
Take cash as not many of the vendors have card facilities.

The best time to come is during Chinese New Year. You'll see lots of attractions, and delicious vegetarian meals will be sold there. Dragon dance, firecrackers show, some Chinese food on the stalls, clothing, accessories—literally almost everything you'll get there. Remember that the Chinese New Year is the most crowded time to visit. The location is quite a distance both from Johannesburg and Pretoria, but it's worth the drive since there are lots of festivities that you'll surely enjoy during that season.
I went there a few times, and the temple was very beautiful, clean, and peaceful. It was huge! There were around 3/4 temples located in one spacious compound ⛩️👲
You'll feel like you're in China already once you visit there! 🇨🇳

Been here a couple of times before, but the day I took photos and decided to review it was a very disappointing one. Not sure why because the restaurant was not busy at all. We normally order our drinks, starters and mains all at once as we have a standard order everytime. Drinks took about 20 minutes to get to the table, starters about half and hour and mains after 1 hour. The fire cracker squid was not crispy at all, very wet batter. Oysters were ok, not the best. The platter for 2 had soggy/soft calamari heads(normally crispy). Rice was a bit chalky and the the chips tasted very old. The prawns, calamari tubes, mussels and fish was nice but the small stuff ruined the experience. Not sure why but they need to pick up their service or they are going to start losing customers.

What a terrible experience. Ordered starters and main meals. Waited over an hour to receive the most horrible uneadible food ever. Cold and soaked in oil. Manager came, but did not really help as food came back still only luke warm and extremely oily. Fish was not crispy, instead soggy and cold in the middle. Mains came before starters as well. Really very unhappy and still had pay in full for that terrible meal. Will take a lot for me to go back.

New ownership and obvious changes are bringing the standard down. Staff are friendly and hard working but limited by rules on how they can accommodate customer preferences. There's no managers coming around to the tables either so you'll have to suffer in silence if you have a problem.

Special commendation to Magdali for her enthusiastic and entertaining education about the birds of prey during the live showing. We had so much fun with Thom who is doing his practical year as part of his studies. His personal relationship and true empathy for the birds came through so strong. The morning and afternoon flight demonstrations showcase different birds in a highly informative and entertaining way - Magdali's passion for the birds and their conservation is contagious. It's also worthwhile to spend some exploring the aviaries before or after the show.

Quite a unique experience for sure. I've drank a lot of different whiskeys but have never done a whiskey tasting. There are many preselected menu options of whiskeys (scotch, Irish, bourbons, and even Japanese and Indian), gins, and tequilas. There are also whiskey and chocolate pairings. It's a fun adult outing something for everyone (who drinks).

Our hostess Sarah Lee took time to explain the rich history and processes involved in distilling whiskey and gin. We learnt a lot and the tasting options are well planned and presented. Well worth the visit. The prices in the shop are really competitive.

Wow, what a great place. Phenomenal selection of whisky, rum, tequila and brandy with interesting tasting tours. Staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. They also have a good selection of whisky and other alcoholic beverages.
Nick Dempers — Google review
Widest variety of whiskeys I have ever seen on a menu. 23 page menu of whiskeys to choose from - around 1700 choices...
Whiskey and chocolate tasting also available and I found it delicious.
Worth a visit

We went to Dullstroom for a weekend getaway and are whisky enthusiasts. The service was great, and the selection was fantastic. We didn't eat but saw nobody complaining and the food looked great. It's a definite place to visit when you in Dullstroom.

What an experience. We did the whiskey and rum taste. They literally take you through the story of how its made. I highly recommend it. It can get full so reservations are recommended. Masks is required on entry. And their coffee is amazing.

Dullstroom things to do!
Such a cool experience.
Got to try some amazing top notch whiskeys at an affordable price.
With over 1500 types of whiskey to choose from I Opted for the Peaty whiskey tasting and it didn't disappoint.
The owner is very knowledgeable on the various whiskeys and adds in some great historical info to the mix.
All in all a must do when in Dullstroom

During our road trip to Dullstroom. We
Decided to go to Wild About Whisky.
Being an avid whisky drinker. This was one of my to-do things in Dullstroom at the top of my list. What an amazing place I think they have around 1700 various whisky to choose from. After browsing through the menus.
I asked if I could choose from the bar instead of the groupings on the menu.
Pascal, I hope I am spelling your name correctly. Was very knowledgeable and passionate about his whisky. He is definitely in the right job.I wanted to try various whisky that I have not tried before.
So, with Pascal's guidance, I went with
Auchentohan 12 yr: Jura Seven Wood:
Edradour 10yr:Tamdhu 13yr:
Balvenie Carribean Cask 14yr:
GlenAllachie 58,% 15yr.
What an experience. When I go to Dullstoom again.I will definitely be popping in again to try other whisky. They also have Tequilas,Gin and Rum & Brandy tastings as well.
Highly recommended.

One of the places that you do not have to put on your bucket list whilst visiting Dullstroom. Only 8 flavours of coffee, very overpriced. They do have a good variety of small gadgets and coffee machines though.

Great stop off in Dullstroom to test out some different craft beers 🍻
Closes at 4pm which is a bit of a pity as it would be awesome if you could do dinner here.

Great place for some beer tasting and food. We loved the vegetarian platter. Also dog friendly and lovely to sit outside. Incredibly friendly wait staff was the icing on the cake.
Laura Kapelari — Google review
The beer was excellent though the service left a lot to be desired, the waitress serving us was very unfriendly. This my have been a once off due to her having a bad day or any other similar reason but regardless it was enough only mildly bring down an otherwise excellent experience. I would like to offer a higher rating if I'm in the area again.

We sat outside on Sunday 30th May, the waitress was superb and the beer went very well with the autumn shades in the garden, one of my best experiences in Dullstroom.
Robert Truter — Google review
A decent little pub/brewery, set at the edge of Dullstroom. A well looked after garden makes for a nice sit outside, although I worry if there is enough seating during peak hours. The beer was cold and refreshing, food was perfectly fine, but not great by any means.
Pricing is okay too, not cheap but still fair. The only issue is the lady at the bar is miserable and rude (visited 25/09/2023).

We had beer tasting (recommended 100%) and nice lunch.

Unfortunately just on the road.

What an awesome experience, you can taste the freshly roasted coffee way better than some coffees I've tasted. The food was delicious, definitely a place to visit if you are in Dulstroom. Took beers home, looking forward to trying them.

Well looked after garden which makes a seat outside quite nice. Beer tasting is well priced and food is fairly priced. However, the chicken on my chicken burger was extremely dry and chips tasted as if it was prepared in old oil. Staff also not friendly at all. Won't recommend.

Love these micro breweries, always great atmosphere and great beer with hearty food options, and Anvil brewery never disappointed! They had great service as well and the tasting was great, it would be great in summer but next to a fire place it was just as great, beer experience was really good and tasting in shot glasses was enough to acquire a taste f the beer and choose which ones you would like to buy to have there or like me, to take a case home 🍻🍻🍻🍺🍻🍻 time 😉

The food was generally very tasty, portions were bit big for me.
So I would highly recommend this place for a country escape for a couple of days
noni phelembe — Google review
Off the beaten track with difficult roads at night. Surprised that candles are the back up power. Old school does not have to be tired school. Management not really visible. Pricing of wine at 400 pc of cost not warranted and limited selection. Billing not transparent. Paid full bill beforehand and was charged tourism levy at check out. Food was good but no light meals available. Too far to pop into shops. Only thing going for it is the peacefulness.

Not much to do on the resort. But a beautiful view. And a very nice, cozy & romantic place. With a fireplace & free wood... 5km from Millys...

My friends and I enjoyed the place. Great activities to do like hiking(during the hiking, you get to see different types of animals, herbivores), tennis, mini golf, swimming, board games, and many more. We even played pool, darts, and table tennis in the clubhouse/bar, which is more cool and refreshing. The people that work there provide the best service ever. They make you feel at home and welcome you with love. You feel like a king or queen when you are there. The breakfast buffet is my favorite. It is the best, they serve delicious food, even dinner, as well. The spa offers great packages and specials. I enjoyed the treatment. To top it off in a nice chilled jacuzzi with some champagne. The rooms are very neat and properly prepared, when you are there, you won't want to return home.

All staff around where very friendly. Wow... breakfast best ever... i must say I will definately go again. The gavel road is okay, but I dont like that.

A gem find. Lovely views, very friendly service and the Spa was LOVELY.
Delicious food that tasted home cooked.
Location was nicely offtrack that we relaxed, but not to remote that Dullstroom was a schlep to get to.
Great value for money

An amazing estate in the middle of nowhere surrounded by animals, plants, and amazing views!
The sun rising was heart warming with all his shades of orange and the amount of stars you are able to see during the night was massive!
Larissa Muniz — Google review
Lovely hotel and resort, but sadly, not well managed. The swimming pool (supposed to be heated) has turned into a pond, and is unusable. The jacuzzi is out of order. The food in the restaurant was very much below average, but expensive.
The chalet where we stayed was lovely. Despite the cold, we were comfortable due to the underfloor heating and daily free firewood for the fireplace. The setting and view is unbelievably beautiful, but it is a pity that the resort is clearly being neglected.

Great stay, except for the food (over Christmas period)
Beautiful scenery, friendly staff, activities to keep busy (we went with our 3 year old son). However, we arrived on Christmas day (afternoon) There was a Christmas lunch buffet, but we did not feel like a big meal, as we had a big brunch earlier. We were informed that the restaurant will be open for dinner during our stay. When we went the restaurant for dinner later that evening, they only offered the same buffet food, and we could not order from the menu. Although it wasn't what we felt like (and considering the location and condition of the dirt road - you can't just drive somewhere close by for dinner), we had the buffet, which in my opinion was not worth the price. The next morning we went out to Dullstroom, later that evening we wanted to go for dinner at the hotel again. Again, we only had the option of leftover Christmas buffet lunch. When we told them that we had the same buffet the previous night (now a bit of veg and sauce were added to the food), we were told that it was all that was available and they could not make an exception. This was very disappointing. It was raining heavily and our son was hungry and tired, we had no option but to eat left over buffet (at the same price, again). I understand that they cannot waste food, but they should have planned better then, or at least give guests an option to order from the menu - especially if we had the same food the previous day. To end on a positive note, we got stuck on the dirt road and the hotel manager and maintenance worker helped us out with a tractor.

Beautiful place and stunning views. But for a 4 star the food is not up to standard, it is very disappointing. We went several times as we do stay in the area and love to go there. Even the swimming is green and nit very much inviting as the jacuzzi the glas panels are not been replaced. Such a beautiful place that is falling apart a bit and not up to standard. Otherwise service so far was good.

One of my favourite hikes I’ve done in South Africa. We did the 4km hike, and loved it! Swimming at the base of the waterfall was definitely the highlight of the hike and would highly recommend it!
Ricardo De Sousa — Google review
Beautiful scenery, safe trails, very clean too. It can get very slippery on wet days you need to be cautious. The trail/route is marked throughout so you can’t easily get lost. This one is great with a group of friends or family to stop along the way and enjoy the beaut in front of you. It was amazing, worth repeating. Oh how can I forget the beautiful waterfalls so don’t forget your swim swear, the fall is along the hiking trail, you can easily take some time to swim and relax before the last 3 kilometres

Absolutely gorgeous landscape and scenery…a lush and beautiful campground to explore, get in touch with nature. Meditate and recuperate, it’s so peaceful, all you hear are the sounds of tranquil waterfall and animals. The accommodation is decent for a camping site, clean and fresh. It’s a self catering accommodation, they also allow day visit. You can come hike, have a Braai or picnic and enjoy the scenery. There are two trails the 10km hike which is between moderate and difficult. The 4km hike is easy to moderate. There is a small shop on a he site opened on Saturday between 2-4pm you can buy your hats, cups and tracking sticks. There are animals on the site, monkeys, donkeys and cattle. The entrance route to the camp site provides beautiful views and glimpse of the trails. It’s work the visit, it’s located in entokozweni Mpumalanga and it’s very affordable.

This is honestly one of the best trails I have ever hiked in SA. They have absolutely everything you could ever want on a hike. They have waterfalls, forests, river crossings and mountains. As well as a few technical aspects along the route. The views, topography and vegetation as all absolutely spectacular. Cannot recommend this trail enough

Wathaba Hiking Trail is an amazing hiking trail I have done. The waterfalls, the sound of water makes it so enjoyable you don't even realise the elevations and difficulty in navigating some climbs. The views from the top of the mountains are scenic and breath taking. I loved the experience. 😊
The water was cold, since we went end of Aug'22(oh ya, its a late post🙃).
We arrived on a Friday as a group and quickly chose our bunker beds, started the fire and settled. The boys figured out the geyser system which was awesome. The water was so hot and nice the entire weekend.
The most amazing part was seating outside around the fire for 2 nights and listening to stories being told by fellow hikers. The experience was amazing, tranquil and awesome.
Mankgele M — Google review
Wathaba is a hikers paradise. The trails are clearly marked and well maintained with interesting notices along the way. The different routes take you to waterfalls, alongside the river, to a picture perfect fairy land and up to the escarpment with spectacular views.
All the trails require walking fitness for the uphills and even the decent can be a challenge.
The bathrooms and bedrooms meet all the needs of hiking overnight accommodation. The kitchen is spacious with a gas stove, undercover braai, washbasin with warm water and plenty working space.
There is no electricity, but you hardly notice it's absence.
If you visit Wathaba you'll wish you could stay.

I did really enjoy the hike. I did 14 kilometers and all trails are beautiful. It’s the 10 kilometers trail that had surprises for me. I didn’t expect the hike to go to the top of the mountain but I found myself at the top and when I thought we are going back to the bottom and back to the car park little did I know that we are heading to the Cascade Waterfall.

Great hike! You will definitely need a hiking stick and good hiking boots!
Multiple waterfalls slightly hectic when going uphill.
Lots of shade no need to worry about sun! Trail is well marked.
Must bring own picnic 🧺 items . A 4x4 is a recommendation when accessing the farm. I love it love it love it 😍

Absolutely beautiful hiking trail. Did the 10km in 5hours with plenty of stops to admire the scenery and have a snack at the waterfall.
Winding in and out of the forest and river scenry into a dry woody space into a beautiful open field. Mountain rocks to pass by and a view of the valley that will take your breath away.
