The pier known as Muelle de Playa Los Muertos, in Playa del Carmen, offers tourists a sleek contemporary design with picturesque coastline views. It is accessed by water taxis which will take visitors to nearby beaches such as Yelapa, Quimixto, or Mismaloya.
This is a hub for Water Taxis and Fishing trips. It's busy but a tourist viewing platform with seats is higher up and wheelchair accessible!
We actually fish off the lower part of the pier and give the fish away to locals and children! Tons of fun and lits of restaurants around the area!
Jason P Ryan — Google review
A great place to watch the sun set and hang around to just people watch too! Then plenty of restaurants all around to enjoy!
Michael McVige — Google review
A nice view point to see along the coast. It's also a great spot for families to come and cool off in the sea.
Work was being done to repair parts of the pier so you couldn't get access to all of it, but it was still great to go and see.
Jenny Dawson — Google review
It is such a beautiful Landmark for Puerto Vallarta. Love to come here as often as possible. For a swim or just exploring or just to see the amazing people with their smiles.
Peter Deppe Original (Peter Ze German) — Google review
Good place to see Puerto Vallartas. Beach is usually not busy at all. A lot of people pass by, but most end up leaving doing a bit of sightseeing. Some people fish towards the bottom.
Vanessa Nunez — Google review
The iconic Pier is where you can catch a water taxi to the southern beaches, get on a fishing boat, or watch the sunset over the bay. Beautiful!
Susan Hetrick — Google review
The bridge is falling apart, the food we had was below average, the drinks were EXPENSIVE WITH LITTLE TO A DROP OF ALCOHOL IN THEM. The beach its self is nice, but we had our snorkeling and waterfall trips canceled so we paid $60 USD to sit at a beach that only offered benches to sit on. I do not recommend this tour. The way there the female staffer spoke for nearly 40 minutes straight! Over the loud speakers so we couldn’t even enjoy the ride over. The only fun time was on the way back and they had karaoke which was the highlight of a 8 hour day!
Ralph Almirol — Google review
A big monument and lookout area in a delightful and lively beach. Playa Los Muertos is a city beach, where locals and tourists alike can go to enjoy some time on the sand. There are plenty of restaurants nearby and the muelle offers a great meeting point and place to watch the many small boats navigate around the bay.
Alex Lopes — Google review
It really is so pretty, just like the photos.
We went during sunset which was the perfect time. Not super crowded but there were definitely a good amount of people there.
Kayla N — Google review
Really nice area on the Melacon boardwalk… great place to watch the fishermen reel in a catch on their boat or catch a water taxi to a remote beach area…
Erick J — Google review
One of the most beautiful place in Puerto Vallarta, you can go eat, walk around, buy stuff, take a boat or just enjoy the beach and swim.
Be careful with people selling you stuff, and pay an extra attention to your stuff when you are there.
You can also take boat from here as taxi to go a remote place towards the south
Abdoulaye Sow — Google review
Beautiful pier that offers a fantastic view of Puerto Vallarta bay, beach and surrounding mountains. It's a good place for people watching or just sitting back and listening to the sounds of the ocean.
Anthony MyName — Google review
Los Muertos Beach Pie seems to be a great spot for enjoying the company of others while taking in the beautiful surroundings. It's definitely a place where people can relax and have a good time.

A definite must stop location in PV. Cold cerveza, good margariras, excellent view, and the flaming coffee was excellent.
J J — Google review
This is a very popular beach right in the heart of Zona Romantica with the locals and tourists alike.
Good sand, some nice waves, a bunch of restaurants and bars, beautiful sunset, it has it all. Has a special vibe to it and still a little of the old Vallarta charm.
G Whizz — Google review
Such a wonderful attraction in Puerto Vallarta. Right on the Malecon at the beach, this is a great view point. There are very nice sunsets from here and a popular place for locals to dive off of. Nice place for swimming and a great place to get your vacation pictures. It is a busy pier but big enough that you can find yourself a place on the rail to people watch. A must see when you are in PV
Iain Smith — Google review
2024-04 The Los Muertos Beach Pier is an unstill work of art.
The pier juts out into shallow ocean surf and makes a loop around the central statue. The sculpture has a semi-circle of LED spotlights that can change color to help create an active illumination display.
Another thing that makes for an addicting place to relax are the swirling surf ebbing and flowing through and around the steel pipes that make up the sculpture.
The walkway around the sculpture has a large amount of seating for those who wish to take a pause.
The pier does extend further past the sculpture and descends nearer the water to accomodate fishing and perhaps boat access.
When lit up, the Pier is a beloved landmark.
Lit or unlit, it is not to be missed.
Phillip South — Google review
They have been working extensively on the pier providing upgrades which were needed. Benches were broken and railings in disrepair but the city of Puerto Vallarta is working hard and it appears almost complete. A great place to come and watch the kids fish or jump off into the water. Just a great place to chill out and find your Zen.
Bradley Garness — Google review
Beautiful beach. Great vibe. Lively. We started walking from Malecon to find more interesting to see in Puerto Vallarta. Ended up here and found amazing seafood restaurants with a stunning sunset ocean view. After dinner we walked to the night market along the harbour to digest. I would definitely visit this part of PV if I get a chance to do it again.

Love it! Best price Taco 🌮 & Quesadilla at street vendor. We took a boat trip for snorkeling 🤿 @ Los Arcos National Marine Park cost only 2000 pesos for our group of 8!!

The Catholic Church's most iconic and recognizable structure is the Parroquia de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. The church is crowned by a Renaissance-style tower, and hosts an annual festival with a colorful parade. The bells chiming before mass time are also distinctive.
The church is celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2022. It offers daily services in Spanish that all are welcome to attend. We were impressed by the unique crown at the top of the tower. When you visit, also go to see the gazebo and courtyard nearby. It's a great spot to sit, relax and people watch.
Barb Hauck-Mah (barbhmphilly) — Google review
Architecture of this stately church is at the centre of the Malecon..
Absolutely stunning
The church is visited by many locals and sightseers.
Respect the quietness and have seat. Extremely Peaceful.
Priceless experience.
Dorothy Land — Google review
I could see the Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe before walking up the hill. The church and the area are bustling. Many stores and street vendors sell gifts and souvenirs in the area. But the minute I walked into the church. It became solemn and tranquil. Everyone respected the church. The Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe is beautiful. I like the surrounding area as well.
Michael W. — Google review
Average looking church, inside and outside. If you were to put this church in Paris, Rome, Florence or Mexico City, you would walk right by it without noticing it. It is a working church so mass does take place, hence you should be respectful of the worshippers. Located in the central part of town, three blocks from the beach. There are some souvenir shops in front along with a few restaurants. This is a place you visit once, and not come back, despite it being a major landmark in Puerto Vallarta.
Robert Chomicz — Google review
While this is a tourist attraction, this is still an active cathedral for the locals to worship. I got a sense that the tourists, including myself, weren't conscientious of this. I felt a little disrespectful taking photos, but I did it as quietly and non intrusive as possible... 🙏
Barbara Perez — Google review
Beautiful church. We came here during the celebration of Guadalupe. We heard the bells at night all week and it was lovely. There’s a table outside where you can buy rosaries. So blessed to have had the opportunity to see this amazing church.
Edwin Ragadio — Google review
If your in Puerto Vallarta and you've never been to a Mexican church you definitely need to go check this place out. Mexico always has the best churches hands down. Just when you go make sure you take your hat off pay your respects and don't be ignorant. This is just not a place to go take pictures this is an actual Church so please be mindful.
Zidas T — Google review
We paid our respect to the church and we admire the church from the inside as well. No pictures of inside just outside.
Beautiful

I went here in 2024 for palm sunday mass as well as for easter sunday mass. This is a very average church with little to no unique architecture or design. I would not go out of my way to visit this church. Ok spot for quick drop by visit/prayers. Amen
Raja Johnpulle — Google review
Beautiful interior. Each station had a QR code that appears to allow you to read more. However, you are prompted to pay for an audio tour. Based on the size of the church, it may not be a long tour. The church has not been maintained. Sadly, another lovely Catholic Church that has not been maintained and the Catholic diocese / the Vatican provide little to not financial support to maintain their assets, which are worth millions worldwide.
Adam Farrell — Google review
We walked here from where the cruise docked. It was a very long walk but felt very safe.
The church is peaceful but the surrounding area is full of people and shopping opportunities.
This church and the surrounding community is worth seeing.
Rain Louise — Google review
Visited this beautiful historic cathedral in downtown PV. Mass was being celebrated so we did not spend too much time touring around. It is such an amazing church to visit. The building and the inside are amazing. I would highly recommend visiting this cathedral when you are in town. It is only 2 blocks off the Malecon.
Iain Smith — Google review
A beautiful church with amazing bells. Located in El Centro this church is the center of the center. Walk by and hear the bells echo through the mountains. Take a tour or watch a wedding. El Campanario in a restaurant right across the street with amazing food for a great price. Stop in to have a bite as you take in views of the church. Enjoy!
Alan D — Google review
Didn't expect to see the grand display after walking up the old cobble stone road and dilapidated steps. Just be wary of the electrical as I'm sure it is not up to code. Got that shot from the outside of the church...
David Souza — Google review
The spiritual aspect of the Mass is always paramount. We did not particularly enjoy the priest who celebrated the Mass, as he was mostly putting on a show and seeking audience participation as if it were a liberal political campaign stop.

Act2PV is a theater that features a variety of events throughout the year, including musicals and drag shows. It's popular with both gay and non-gay tourists, who appreciate its high-quality productions.
We have seen so many great shows here over the years. This year we checked out the Rocky Horror Show and the cast is amazing, audience participation kits all everything. The wait staff make sure your glass is full and the cast and crew make sure you are entertained. Bravo!
Patrick J. Fry-Smith — Google review
Great venue and a large variety of acts for all interests. Prices range from 300-600 pesos or approximately $15-30 USD for most shows. Pamphlets and schedules available to plan your week of evening events and also to read the event descriptions to ensure you choose the right type of entertainment for you. Currently, COVID protocols are in place, and you can choose your venue seating in advance of the performance when you buy your tickets. Discount tickets are sometimes available if you purchase in advance at the Saturday flea market in the square.

I saw the Karma Chameleon show and Follies. Karma was excellent and the dancers were fabulous. Follies was the highlight of my trip to Puerto Vallarta. I'm a big Broadway fan and this show was excellent!
Kelly — Google review
Great little theater to watch some live music. We went to watch Bobbi and the Others perform their show called Queens of Country. The tickets are really reasonable and there is a bar inside while you wait. They also have a server that you can order from during the show. It makes for a fun date night while you're in PV

Wow! What a terrific Cabaret venue. We’ve seen many shows here over the years and they are one of the highlights of our time in Puerto Vallarta! Highly recommended

The Britney Spears tribute show was all I wanted to see at Act2PV! Ximena was INCREDIBLE as Britney. The choreography, references, dancers and production was so fun! Highly recommend the Britney tribute show!
Reign Rhodes — Google review
This is a great place to see a male review show. The ticket price was moderate so don't expect a massive production of a show. However, we sat in the front row and were greatly entertained by the female lead and her four male strip dancers. We all had a fantastic time and would do it all again. Heads up! There is a two drink minimum beyond the base ticket price.
Joe Miera — Google review
I went to the It's Raining Men show. The staff were friendly and attentive, the cocktails delicious and fairly priced, and the venue was cozy and intimate.
The show was fabulous! The choreography was on point and the dancers were a lot of fun (not to mention gorgeous). I even made friends with some other people in the audience 😊
Matt Ruby — Google review
My husband and I came here to see the Hedda Lettuce show and loved everything about this venue! We arrived about an hour before the show and thoroughly enjoyed the live music in the beautiful lounge area before the show started. Would absolutely see another show here again!
Amanda Needham — Google review
saw the Queen show last night and left half way through. Excellent main singer who portrayed Freddie Mercury and excellent guitarist & keyboard player but couldn't hear the singing, keyboard or guitar playing due to the freak on drums who played so load as to make one unable to hear the others in the group and made the experience not enjoyable. As an avid Queen fan couldn't believe their song selection as the first 2 songs were unrecognizable. Not a happy evening. When we explained our experience to the manager he was very understandable & said that in their first show they were told about complaints about the very load drummer but didn't make any changes...The manager did give us a 2 for 1 coupon for a future show.
A C — Google review
The show was all that was promised and was expected. Some of the casting seemed a bit stretched in the beginning, but they and there roles grew on us. The staging was creative and not distracting, and, of course, the music was ABBA rich. Every minute was worth every penny. Thanks gang.

Grabbed a show here (The Golden Games) on a whim. Cute little venue, decent cocktails, great staff. Will definitely go again!

This is BY far the most amazing SHOW YET!!!!! I’m so honored to know you, and have had a literal front row seat to see your expansion and growth!!
You outdid yourself this time, love you so BIG!!!

Intimate and colorful experience with in your face singers and dancers. Very fun and talented show, would recommend. Drinks were served promptly and results were flowing, and the crowd was enjoying the show. Very excited for this summer’s shows.
One stand our talent was an artist by the name of Bigi. She has a phenomenal voice, and was very in tune with the crowd as she sang a gorgeous ballad by Whitney Houston. She is one of the most talented singers ever! Can’t wait to see her upcoming shows.

Restaurant El Malecón is located near the Malecon Beach in Puerto Vallarta. The beach is not popular for swimming, but it offers a beautiful sunset spot and is filled with street performers, vendors, and vibrant colors. Visitors can enjoy amazing street food while strolling down the Malecon and watching fireworks from the boardwalk.
Awesome evening menu, nice music and atmosphere and great staff. The new vibe they're creating as Notorious Beach bar is really awesome! Best view in town and amazing staff.
Melissa Brade — Google review
Not the best, not the worst, average restaurant with average food in average portions at a little above average prices. I guess you're paying for the toes in the sand beach side dining experience. Service was average.
Chuck Fluri — Google review
We got fresh snacks. Chips were crunchy. Guacamole was tasty and freshly made to order. Had a passion fruit margarita sooo delicious. Real passion fruit. Generous serving size of snack and drinks for great price. The view of the ocean was amazing and relaxing. We got luck and were able to see a traditional native performance, nothing scheduled.
Celine M — Google review
We love sitting here to enjoy the views and relax with a drink and food
Caryn Myers — Google review
We had delay in some food order, but they didn’t charge us for that and we got this part for free. That’s a real client orientation. On the top of that - the seafood is fantastic and fresh, ocean view and the birds (pelicans?) are fantastic 🤩 Totally recommend this place.
Nataliia Cheban — Google review
Very disappointing. I rarely leave reviews but this place was just so bad. I’ve had way better seafood at Red Lobster hundreds of miles inland to give ya an idea of how bad. My margarita was so bad I had to have them take it back—tasted like aspartame from sugar substitute or something. The breaded shrimp that I ordered was both soggy and burnt at the same time. It had more of a chicken texture than shrimp. The service was decent and the outdoor seating in the back is by the beach and nice.
Tyler Harmon — Google review
Great place for beer, food with the amazing. Ocean views. Pretty good coconut water! Loved it!!
Wendy Tan — Google review
Wonderful location! We could not have picked a better view looking out into the ocean. The food was delicious Mexican cuisine. The staff was pleasant. Be prepared for vendors to come to your table to buy items, but they left us alone with no issues once we said no.
Karen Berryhill — Google review
We were at Restaurant El Malecon the other night. They have a large selection of sauces at the table. And then they bring out chips with more sauces. After that we shared a guacamole. My wife then had the tortilla soup and shrimp tacos, while I had the mummy shrimp. Overall the food was good as was the service. The prices are certainly Malecon and beach side prices. There was a live duet playing music and singing and they were pretty good. But the main reason for eating here is the spectacular view as we watched the sunset over the ocean. In the end that is what you are paying for.
Dave Atwell — Google review
Date of review! 82723. Really good place for seafood. It was recommended by the local taxi driver. It was a W! Had the coconut shrimp 9outta10, cóctel mixto (shrimp, octopus, and scallops) 9outta10 fire! I would definitely return and give it my seal of approval #gorditoapproved #fatboyapproved price was 8outta10. It was was a lil pricey but so worth it! Ooh yeah also had two Margs and two Pacifico beers

Paseo Díaz Ordaz 895, Centro, 48300 Puerto Vallarta, Jal., Mexico
Los Arcos is a residential street that boasts low, colorful houses and palm trees. The area offers a distant view of the hills and is a popular tourist attraction. Visitors can take a boat tour out to see the stunning arches up close, which provide excellent opportunities for snorkeling and paddleboarding. However, some have found that the water in this area can be too murky for good snorkeling.
This is an absolutely stunning spot to go snorkeling! I highly recommend doing so through a local - he can be found on Airbnb through Experiences - it's called "The Arches." You can also locate him by his Instagram handle - adrenalyn_junkies - 10/10!

We took a small boat tour out to the arches Very stunning to see up close and to enter into one of the arches Good snorkeling and paddle board area but I find the water too murky for good snorkeling The east side of the country (in the Caribbean off Yucatan especially by Puerto Morales) it much better both for clear water and amazing sea life in the barrier reefs Still better to take a boat ride around Los Arcoles than trying to see them from the observation point along the highway.

I don't know how this place is legal, they have all the animals in small cages, no decoration, no enrichment items, is depressing... They have 3 jaguars and they all look incredibly sad and their cages are stupidly small. They also have a single raccoon in a small cage, raccoons are social creatures, that's just torture. Please do not support this place.

You go on a board and they take you through a winding river and I saw a couple of crocodiles and some birds and turtles which was really cool then we make a pit stop at a crocodile sanctuary where you can see them up close and it's so cool they have a Swimming area where you can Swim with fish! The second pit stop was a only a swimming area as well and there was a restaurant there but they took forever to give us the food because they forget we even ordered. Recommend taking this trip!

The building is amazing and the guy receiving us was awesome and helped us not hate our stay. We went for Valentine’s Day and the place run out of electricity during the night, the worker was gone to turn on the electric plant. The fireplace in the room has the pilot off and we had to sleep cold. We didn’t get the WiFi password so we didn’t have any service to let him know the power was gone. The next morning the restaurant was closed for the day that I wish I would know since the website promotes this nice restaurant. Also the 14th we thought about going to el general steak house and they closed that day as well. We felt it was a waste of money since we could not enjoy the hotel amenities and the restaurants were closed.

First a double charge the day of checkout that I had my bank reverse right away when it came to my attention. Now a month later a new charge for a stay a slightly different amount so not a mistake. He claims he can't find the charge even though it's clearly posted on my bank statement that I sent to him as prof.

Best Park in Tepic! Great for Family Picnics, activities, or just want to gat away and get lost in nature. All kinds of things to do. From the train to the jogging track that goes all around the park, or creative sculpture painting with the family or by yourself. It's fun for everyone and safe.

Large circular pyramids are the highlight of this unique archaeological site dating to 300 BCE.
If you can survive the hike up the mountain's road, the view is more than worth it. Just make sure to bring water and wear clothing to shade your body.

What an amazing place. I was not aware of round pyramids until now! Get a guide and plan on 3 hours. PLUS, as seniors, we did not pay admission. Highly recommend.

Nice archeological site and somewhat of a work out going up to the pyramids.
Too bad that they do not allow people to climb up anymore, otherwise the view of the town and lake is amazing.

I am traveling all over Mexico now the 4th week, but Ithis was the most attractive historical place so far I have visited.
Besides the mindblowingly beautiful historical findings I simply adored the dedication and the huge knowledge from the young tour guides (kindest people I have met so far! - I mean it! Dear Mexican people: please learn some good manners from these guys! 😉) , the content, the arficacts, everything.... The whole site is wonderfully looked after , and it is literally history is being explored right in front of your eyes.
I feel honoured and humbled that I had a chance to explore this wonderful place. Thank you.

Absolutely stunning! This Pre-Classic site is about an hour's drive out of Guadalajara and is well worth it. There's a carpark, toilets and a museum, which is very interesting. Had an artist go through some of the interactive elements in the museum, which was fascinating. Then I had a guide, which I don't normally do, but thought it useful. There is a walk up the hill to the site, so be ready. It is quite steep at parts but is paved. Once you reach the top, prepare to be amazed.
The ages of the tombs/temples increase as you go round and there could still be more to be found, as the largest one remains unexcavated. There are signs and maps so you can figure out where to go if you are on your own. The views from here are stunning too and in the background lies the Tequila volcano.
Can be done with a visit to Tequila and highly recommend stopping in Teuchitlan for a walk about.

Really beautiful. We did not understand how much there is to do there. We did not have much time as we needed to catch a flight in GDL so we will be returning soon with the family for a 2 day weekend. The last photo is from the web but it's what motivated us to go there. Lovely tourist puebla with 2 Balenarios.

Precolonnial unique round pyramids!
A short but steep hike up - a ride is an option, but it was totally manageable. We hired a guide, and he was worth every peso. After we walked, we went into the museum near the parking lot. They played a short documentary for us in English - they had just run in Spanish immediately before.
I found this place super interesting and worth the drive from Aijijic.
Felicity Allcorn — Google review
This site was amazing. Get a guide who knows the area to take you on a tour. You have to arrange this ahead of time but if you ask enough people you'll be able to find someone. Our guide worked in excavation at the site for 20+ years so he knew what made it special and he shared culturally significant information. The museum was good but we definitely got to see the inside works by having a guide.
Tip: if you're not in decent shape, or if you're traveling with young children or older adults, ask at the museum about getting a ride to the site. It's not a long walk but it's very steep, there's no shade, and nowhere to sit down.

Zona arqueologica Teuchitlan or Guachimontones is a beautiful archeological place. When I went there were not many tourists and we had the hole place almost to ourselves. It was very peaceful.
We arrived on bus from Guadalajara and ate at a small restaurant near the bus station. Then we walked up a hill to go to the archeological site. You can also go up in a vehicle. It is quite an up hill walk, and we got tired, but it was worth it. I left some videos of the archeological site. There were some very nice views out on the horizon. They also have a small museum at the archeological site. They also have a sort of nature trail that you can walk through, which was nice. Be sure to take sunblock if it is a sunny day and a sun hat.

A great day trip from Guadalajara to learn about the history of the area and the people. Good to go on a cool day as there is a small walk. A great museum on site.

Arrived Saturday at 4pm and it was plenty of time to explore. $30MX per adult. There are very clean bathroom facilities by the parking and an air conditioned museum that presents a 15 minute documentary. Highly recommend to go in the museum before walking to the pyramids. There is a 15 minute incline walk up to the pyramids, be warned. Wear comfortable shoes and depending on the time of day it can get really hot.
It was very interesting and it deserves a visit.

What happened here? Who built this place? Why are we just finding it? It’s a great site with mysteries we may never know. As as the excavations continue, perhaps we will learn one day. Not an easy trek to get up the hill, so if you’re not expecting that, it could ruin the whole experience. (And use the bathroom ! There is not one at the top). Be sure to use a guide on site. I
We discovered Casa Sauza by accident, and it was a fantastic experience. The grounds and garden are immaculate, and the ambiance is peaceful and serene. We felt and were treated like royalty by the staff, and the food and drinks were amazing. We started with house made salsa and chips, and I ordered a Sauza margarita rimmed with Tajin. Next, we ordered a tuna tartare dish and a wrapped tuna dish that touched every sensory signal on our taste buds. Lord willing, I will be back very soon. The next time, I will plan on spending two full days in this Pueblo Magico. I feel like we just touched the surface of this town, and there are many memories left to be made!

This place is an absolute gem that's shine is only outmatched by the staff that run it.
I had my wedding here in October of 2023. I was traveling from the US and was doing everything virtually, with no planning or prepping in person. And IRMA DID THE THING!
She was INCREDIBLE to work with! It was like she could read my thoughts and everything was better and more magical than I ever could have imagined. I would get married here a million times over if I could. Such a wonderful experience all around.

Brilliant! 100% don't miss!!
So many sites on the internet say this place is only open certain days. If the review you read is more than 5 minutes old l, forget it. This town is evolving and distilleries like this are pretty much open everyday. Just show up and ask for a tour.
I have been to Mexico about 20 times and my favorite thing is to visit small unique towns. Tequila is an incredible place if you want authentic Mexican culture, food, kind people, and good vibes. But this town has one extra thing, tequila!!!
La Rojeña is where the José Cuervo magic happens. The tour is completely informative, explaining the tequila making process in detail, and at the end (if you pay the extra pesos for the tasting package, a MUST in my opinion) you get a view into tequila flavors and nuance that I never knew existed! Trust me, stop reading this review and just go there! The tasting at the end is amazing!
It was absolutely brilliant! Our guide (sorry, can't remember her name) was perfect. At each stop, though the factory is loud, she had a mic connected to Bose speakers so you could hear every word (I did the English speaking tour).
At the end you can buy special made tequilas at factory prices. Absolutely no pressure to buy, but a good deal all the same!
I am fairly cynical when it comes to touristy things, this is a 100% don't miss!!!

My significant other and I walked in the Recepción Venta De Boletos and ended up purchasing the Experiencia Clásica for the tour of La Rojeña. The Precio / Price was $315MXN for each person. It wasn’t too bad and I figured this would be the best place to do my first tequila tour.
The tour started by us sitting down to watch the history of the company on a large screen. It was in Spanish, but it had English subtitles. It was maybe around 15 minutes and gave a good background of their company. When it was over, our tour guide greeted us to continue our experience.
He took us through the entrance to La Rojeña. We were shown tequila in the Ordinario, also known as Ordinary form. We weren’t able to taste it, but we were able to smell it. It was strong! The bottle that was near that one was the Blanco, also known as White. This tequila was the Tradicional Plata. We were able to taste this one. It had a nice warmth to it. It was good quality in my opinion.
Not long after, we approached a barrel area. We got to try the 6 Meses, 12 Meses, and 18 Meses forms of tequila. The 6 Meses was the Tradicional Reposado. The 12 Meses and 18 Meses were both the Tradicional Añejo. I enjoyed all of them in a different way.
Our tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable. He explained everything tremendously.
Overall, the tour of La Rojeña was an excellent experience! I would love to visit again someday!

There is a sweet scent in the air. It was Friday night and there was a mass taking place. There was a woman who was leading the worship. It appeared to me that most everyone present was a local.
The building itself is beautiful , it does have much character and some of the imperfections give it much of its patina.

The history behind the construction of the church is very intriguing and the architecture is beautifully done specially knowing how back then they didn't have the type of technology we have now.
The Templo Expiatorio del Santísimo Sacramento is a beautiful, historic church located in the heart of Guadalajara. It is well worth a visit for its dramatic Gothic-style architecture and impressive stained glass windows. The temple is open daily from 07:00 to 21:00 and visitors are charged for admission.
Gothic architecture, activities around it, dancing people, artists. Let the music pierce your heart. Of course, we should not forget to travel by electric carriage. This is one of the regions that reflect the real culture of Mexico. Everything was very positive. I strongly recommend you to see the inside of the building.

If you can talk your way into the catacombs downstairs too, it will make an experience you won't soon forget. If you can't, I've added lots of photos.

You can’t really beat this Neo-Gothic marvel anywhere in the Americas that I’ve seen. Impeccably built about 100 years ago to match the great gothic cathedrals of Europe. For a second, you could be in medieval England or France. Free time enter, take off your hat and respect worshippers.

I love The Expiatorio it's rich with history about it's struggle to be built, several times it changed architectures for reasons of destiny. The clock is German made; curiously on the hour the clock chimes 25 songs and at the same time little door's open and figurines of the Apostles comes out and makes a half circle and then go back in the other door.
Built in the Gothic style the columns inside are so beautiful and there are many of them. The stained glass windows and towers are awesome, and the craftsmanship is fantastic. I highly recommend that you explore this church.
There's under ground parking.

So beautiful to just sit on the benches and watch the sun go down behind the cathedral. Guadalajara is beautiful! The streets are so busy, and there are merchants everywhere. Top-end theater venue, great acoustics.
Went to the 2023 Mariachi gala and was not disappointed. Teatro Degollado is a superb concert hall, with a seating capacity of around 1,600.
Pro-Tip: Bar prices are predictably on the high side and the bar itself is not really large enough to cater for a full house, during the short intermissions.
Pocket/purse searches happen at the door, so if you're trying to bring something in, you need to be creative.

Located in the heart of Guadalajara, this cultural center focuses on art and culture. It features over 100 different rooms and 20 patios, as well as murals by renowned Mexican artist Jose Clemente Orozco. There is also a rich collection of other pieces by Mexican artists on display. Regular art exhibitions are held here, and there are also attractions suitable for children.
We spent our day here on a casual friday. There was a short line before entering the museum, there is a price difference for locals and tourists. You can't drink or eat during the walk and you must leave all the bags at the start.
For the tourist there are 2 tours a day.
You can walk yourself through the museum.
The museum is very big and is inside an old hospice. They gave the medicines to the people which came from the garden.
Without an guide it is very hard to walk it on the correct way, so we went all over and skipped a couple of rooms.
The most famous part was very beautiful! You can see the pictures yourself (:
If you ask me if this is a must see in Guadalajara I would say no, but still a nice museum if you don't have plans for the day.

A striking building, but unfortunately the expos were underdeveloped with too little historical background and context.
The building is huge and wonderfully beautiful as its own history piece.
I was disappointed in the staff. They were uninterested in helping patrons or making them feel at home in this public cultural space. Due to poor signage, lack of staffing, and the curmudgeon and unhelpful attitude of the present staff, we were more often lost than found.
Only after we returned home did we discover we missed (never found) one half of the museum. I'm embarrassed to admit... We somehow missed half of the museum?
It's disheartening a public space's value was reduced by resident employees. I expected more pride in one's city, state, and country.
For $4 US it was worth seeing one half of the museum.

We traveled with 5 people. We paid at the taquilla per adult and one kid. My purse and backpack were not allowed, too big for their standard. They do have free tags for storage with museum staff,or private lockers for some pesos. We stored our stuff safely with staff and it was an easy pickup. We visited around noon on a Thursday and it was not busy. We took a stroller and the walkways were pretty accessible. We took plenty of pictures and enjoyed our time there. I really liked the QRC code for a history in English and Spanish. So bring your headphones/ airpods. There is a cafe that sells snacks and water because our backpack lunch wasn't allowed. The bathrooms were clean and accessible. I didn't see any baby changing tables, so that was a bummer. We would return again.

I stopped by after learning this was a former orphanage. A tour guide mentioned that kids who didn’t know their parents were given the last name of the orphanage founder. The compound now consists of mostly newer art. Probably would have been more enjoyable with a tour guide, but it’s possible to stroll around on your own and leverage the QR codes. Free admission Tuesdays.

Worth a visit in Guadalajara! Architecturally stunning building with renowned murals in the interior make for an awe inspiring experience. There is written narrative on the murals in both English and Spanish, and more throughout the building by QR code. Only 4 stars because I thought, a a while, building’s space could be more thoughtfully used with additional exhibitions.

What a beautiful experience. Our Guide Ana was very knowledgeable and animated as she described the murals. If you are visiting Guadalajara, please stop by. They have guided tours in Spanish and English.

This was the best attraction in Guadalajara in my opinion. Great art and architecture. A nice place to relax and enjoy the energy lines.

Went and saw two large art exhibits and the central cathedral. Everything was very well laid out and was wheelchair accessible with very minimal challenges (it is a pretty linear path).
I'd suggest spending some time in the cathedral to absorb the murals. lay on one of the benches and just look up.

Really took me by surprise! First museum I visited in GDL. Entry fee was 85 MXN (55 if you have national ID) the oil paintings were all very unique and unlike anything I've ever seen before. A must visit if you are in town, only a 10 minute walk from the city center

Stunning building and beautiful architecture. I went on a Sunday afternoon and there were not many people. They have a lot of different exhibitions going on there. I really like one with the self portrait. It was stunning and unbelievable. The museum is well maintained and managed. Water bottle and eateries are not allowed.

Really nice museum with amazing murals. I would only suggest adding some context to certain art pieces since I felt that some art was amazing, but there were no clear and visible info on it. Aside from that, its a great place.

The Zoologico Guadalajara is one of the best zoos in Latin America and is home to a wide variety of animals from all over the globe. The gardens are well-maintained and provide plenty of shade, while additional attractions like the Sky Zoo offer a birds' eye view of the animal habitats, as well as a safari experience with close encounters with giraffes, elephants, rhinos, hippos and ostriches.
There are a variety of tickets available which allow you access to different areas. All are very reasonably priced. I got the basic zoo package and really enjoyed the day. The monkey land feature was fantastic and the monkeys were free to run around and up to you. The day does involve a lot of walking and hills which may not be ideal in the heat with children, but you can pay a small amount more for the train or chairlift to avoid that. The only negative I found was how busy some of the areas such as the reptile house were, which meant you were shuffled through quite quickly but we were there on a nday which is the busiest day. Overall, would definitely recommend and if I were to return would buy the ticket add ons for more areas.
Yugal S — Google review
I recommend the Diamond package.
There’s a lot of walking.
Safari ride is rough road *No seat belt*
The train is a one time use with the bracelet.
The skyline has great views. It’s difficult getting on and off.
The aquarium is small. Best part is feeding the manatees. The penguin building smelled horrible. However it was cute seeing the penguins.
As for food
You can bring your own food.
I had popcorn <~Terrible, burnt
Cheeseburger <~ I didn’t like the taste
Nachos <~ great
Quesadilla <~ okay
The facilities are outdated but it’s not a big deal.
Overall it’s a great place to visit.

Very nice zoo! I definitely reccomend bringing comfortable shoes and tons of water since it is very warm. The diamond pass is the best if you would like to experience the park as a whole.
Sofia R — Google review
A once in a lifetime experience. We loved everything about it. The prices are shown in the picture. We bought the “diamante” because it has the sky zoo + aquarium. Once entering you are greeted by the flamingos. On your right there is a food stand. And walk more on your left is the entrance to the train. The train takes you around the whole park. A little ahead is the entrance for the sky zoo. That did not have a line, unlike the train did. I went on the sky zoo first then ate some food and then went on the train. After that we walked around the zoo and towards the end we went on the safari truck that takes you around specific animals that are closed off. My favorite is the sky zoo because it’s unique and you see everything. The train is alright and is quick. I went on a Friday afternoon, to see the whole thing lasted us 5 hours. The gift shops were not so good and pricey. You could go inside the zoo with a bottled water and snacks. The food inside is also expensive but decent. I bought the tickets on the spot in the booth. The wait wasn’t much. Buy the wristbands and place it on and go in.
Melissa — Google review
Well maintained ZOO, there are 3 packages 100, 260, 330 peso. 100 peso for Normal walk through visiting animals. For marine, safari, sky zoo have to buy 260 or 330 peso package. I could suggest get 330 peso package and go morning time 10 am so you can complete all these areas. Foods are available inside zoo. Penguin, Marine, Sky zoo, White Lion, kangaroo are highlights in this zoo. Close to ZOO children's park also there... kindly plan accordingly full day visit for kids with family..
Predivrajan Nagendran — Google review
Nice place to spend time with friends and family. The zoo is so big that I will suggest you to wear comfortable shoes sneakers preferably. They have a lot of activities to do in the zoo. The price of the ticket is reasonable not at all expensive. It includes cable train tour, train ride and many more stuff with in the zoo. You’ll find small cafe to grab something real quick to eat.
Preeti Gupta — Google review
It was very warm but super enjoyable. Employees were super helpful and friendly. I recommend buying the diamond pass, you get to enjoy everything once, the train, safari, aquarium and the sky zoo (recommend doing this towards closing time) it was quiet and you can enjoy listening to the birds.

Came to Guadalajara with my granddaughter who wanted to visit the Zoologico Guadalajara, and we were pleasantly surprised to see how much there was to see. So much greenery...everything was lush, overgrown, trees that have been here for decades. The exhibits were very well designed, for example the monkey areas: cables which supported the netting, as well as the enclosure which allows the animals to go from area to area, a great job. Our favorite was the ride thru the Masai. Wow. You see the many different animals in their natural environments, living in harmony with other animals. You're able to witness the water buffalo, the ostriches, antelopes, alligators of the Nile river. Along with the Elephants, the Rhinos, the Hippos and so much more. There is so much to see and experience within these walls. Come and spend some time, you will be coming back again. 😎👍👍

At the Guadalajara zoo there are different price points and we opted for the premier which is a short train ride, nice enough and quick. My mom has a disability scooter and I asked the attendant if he's sure they will take care of it because she needs it for long distances and was assured it won't leave the platform if we didn't hand in the number given to us. When the train completed the trip we took it and no one batted an eye or even asked if it was ours so clearly if anyone leaves something with them just know there's a possibility it can be taken. She drove off with it and nobody stopped us, I went around and gave the attendant both numbers and he didn't even ask a question. Do not leave your stuff there because again there is no assurance it will be taken care of. The zoo is ok, it's off the bucket list for a family member that has kids. I was not interested especially with my mom, I really think it needs better operations when it comes to getting off the train and more disability pathways.
Syra Ozaeta — Google review
We had a very short visit so we bought the basic package. We bought the train a sky tram tickets separately. Not sure if it would make sense to buy the diamond package but that price jump is crazy. Either way the zoo is HUGE. Definitely need a whole day to walk through it all. We got to feed the baby deers. So cute! There were plenty of bathrooms and trash cans around. Very clean. Definitely would come back.

What a fun zoo! I was shocked how good it was coming from places like the National Zoo in DC, the San Diego zoo, and point defiance in the PNW. It's not nearly as big as those but it's really well laid out and the sky lift that goes from one end to the other gives you amazing views across the entire zoo.

Great time at the Zoo in Guadalajara. It was about $120 pesos for adults for admission. You can buy additional "attractions" once you're inside vs. buying the pass that includes everything before you enter. Fun for kids and family!

We visit zoos all over the US. and I must say this zoo in Guadalajara is one of the ones that I enjoyed the most. A lot of wide open space for the animals, and they had plenty of opportunities to interact with the animals. Would like to return, highly recommended. Went went on a Wednesday in February, and it wasn't crowded at all.

Parque Zoológico de León offers a plethora of entertainment options for visitors. These include the chance to observe hundreds of animals and participate in activities such as safari tours, miniature train rides, and picnics in designated areas. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, visitors are not allowed to walk through the zoo but must instead drive through it; however, this provides an interesting perspective on the animals and their habitats.

Great zoo for a first timer! Took our 6 year old here while in Leon for a fútbol tournament. It was his first time and it was a great option. The zoo is not too large or too small. It was a good 3-4 hrs of walking around and taking our time. The animal exhibits are small and the animals weren’t very active but our son had a fun time seeing them up close. The safari ride was fun but not worth the purchase of the package, the package did NOT include everything. Still had to purchase experiences throughout the park. The do not sell anything but soda and water. Tacos near the giraffes are AMAZING!!!!!

Altacia Mall is a bustling and vibrant shopping complex that boasts an array of brand-name stores, boutiques, eateries and events. The mall offers an impressive variety of clothing stores and food choices, with the Argentine steak place being a popular option for many. However, there have been reports of some counterfeit name-brand items being sold at the mall. Despite ongoing construction near the entrance causing parking difficulties, Altacia Mall remains a great destination for both shoppers and food enthusiasts alike.

I went to play with my 6-year-old daughter to kill time before my flight departs at 10pm.
I was surprised at how hygienic and clean it was ✨
There is also a food court, perfect for families.
There are also plenty of toy stores, miscellaneous goods stores, and Lego shops for children.
The aquarium was so impressive that I couldn't believe it was an aquarium of the same level as one found in a shopping mall, and I was very satisfied! ️
However, personally, I was carrying a large amount of luggage before the flight, so I thought it would be nice if there were coin lockers.
Approximately 10 minutes by car from Leon Airport.
Use Uber to get to the airport for 260 pesos (approximately ¥2,340) in January 2024.
If you are traveling with children to kill time before your flight, this is definitely a good option❣️
There are also shops such as H&M, Vans, and New Era, so adults can also enjoy it.

Some construction by entrance making a bit chaos, hard to find parking, but plenty of shops and options to eat

It is an alright mall. you got everything you need, but nothing too fancy. Plaza Mayor is the better mall with more variety and better shops. Altacia is still nice now and then, plus it has the Aquarium as a bonus.

Needs more directional signs. Hard to find specific places, but it’s a nice mall

Lovely mall to hang out a little bit, with entertainment for kids, teens ('cause cinema) and for a chill hang out with friends, pet friendly with places to clean in case of accidents and also good variety of stores

This is just like any other mall but they do have an aquarium which is awesome. There is so many clothing stores here and food choices. I prefer the Argentine streak place put front. Also I have been told some of the stores are a bunch of fake name brand items but I have no way to confirm. If you have time to spare might as well check this out.

The mall is very nice. There is a good selection of stores and at the food court. It's nice that they have pet friendly zone, the aquarium, and other family areas. Wish they took off or lowered their parking fees.

Nice mall, one of the biggest malls in Leon city , with a huge parking, alot of restaurants and coffee shops , Liverpool store, very interesting aquarium, trampoline jumping park, and alot of other deferent stores, but for me this is not the best place for shopping neither eating and drinking, because everything is expensive for me , so I go there either to walk with friends or to park my car,

The Shrine of Christ the King offers breathtaking panoramic views from atop a hill, where visitors can find a 65-ft. bronze statue of Jesus and an art deco sanctuary. However, those planning to drive to the location are advised to check their car coolant and tire air pressure beforehand as the 20-30 minute uphill road is rough and has caused cars to overheat in the past. Bicycling up the hill is also challenging due to the uneven surface.
Before coming to this place by car, make sure to check car coolant and air pressure on the tire. The road is 20-30 minutes uphill and road is bumpy as hell. I saw two cars overheating and there is no auto shop of any kind around. There is parking space on top but you may need to wait until space is open during holidays. Saw some people riding bicycle up the hill and that is both difficult going up and down as road surface is rough. Once you are on the top, 360 Deg. view of all surround area is possible, what a magnificent view from the top. It is worth going up no matter what method you take. Saw many number plates from very far places.

Very beautiful views worth getting up there. Limited things to do but it’s a great place to pray/read and eat around the small restaurants on the hill. If you get altitude sickness or are afraid of heights... maybe this isn’t for you 😂

Heart touching shrine to Our Lord and Savior. Devotion and love of visiting pilgrims is amazing and feels one’s soul with hope peace and love.

Such a beautiful place to come and see. All the surrounding around the Shrine are breath taking. Its located on the very top of a mountain as seen in the people below. Come pray, read, little shop for your religious needs and memories for your visit. A lot of people have devotional faith and come to pray and or give thanks. Took drone video and photos. Didn't try the small restaurants for the yummy food that smelled delicious but It's a must see. Very safe atmosphere.

Nice place But it was to cold in winter. I liked this mountain.

Located atop a hill, this place boasts breathtaking panoramic views of Silao and Guanajuato. You can easily drive to the top of the mountain, and on your way up, you'll come across several refreshment stalls selling mouth-watering quesadillas, tortillas with baked potato, and other delicious snacks. The food is cooked over coal or wood, which gives it a rustic, smoky flavor that's sure to tantalize your taste buds.
The main attraction of this place is the impressive statue, which is grand and visually stunning. The size and grandeur of the statue are awe-inspiring, and it's definitely worth taking some time to admire its beauty.
Overall, this location is a great spot to spend an afternoon with friends and family. The stunning views, delicious food, and unique cultural experience make it a must-visit destination for anyone traveling to this area.
