Zubara Fort is a well-preserved coral stone and mud fortress erected in 1938, now housing exhibits of art and archaeological objects. The historic Qalat Murair settlement lies nearby, along with an in-house museum at the al Zubara Fort. This UNESCO world heritage site is one of Qatar's oldest forts and a must-visit attraction for tourists.
Very well maintained place, it is the first archaeological site recognised by UNESCO world heritage in Qatar. You can visit with your family. There is also a mosque and washrooms 🚻 and cooler for water. Not sure if it is safe for drinking.

The fort is cool and full of history, but the inside isn’t worth the time. There is not much to see other than a few empty rooms and wall posters with talking points and facts. Also, there is nothing else around the fort to do! Overall, it’s a cool destination to drive too in Qatar. Glad I did it!

UNESCO world heritage site fort based in Qatar. A long drive from doha city towards zubara, you reach this place. The place is very quite and picturesque. The place is less crowded and you can have to place for yourself to click pictures. The fort door closes at 5pm.

Good place to see for people who have interest in history and exploring new places. Not a very big fort but will give a glimpse of old life of this country. There are some displays also which holds information about the life in that era.

A nice location to go on a weekend drive. The historical significance of the fort makes it special. There is a lot of information about the fort and the old Zubara city available in the plaques inside the fort. The fort is accessible by car and the parking lot is good.
Worth visiting indeed.

I loved my experience there, its so cool an different and takes you back in time, but its a lot smaller than I thought, I think it doesn't deserve for a 1h way to only see the castle, but if your a tourist or intrested in these things it would be a nice experience for you.
7uthaifa Naddaf — Google review
Reached by car, parking is available opposite to the fort.
Being a photographer/videographer i liked the place even-though it is not full of places to discover, there is no services around the area as well so if you are planning to stay ling time be prepared with food and beverages.
Visiting by sunrise / sunset would add much to the overall experience of the trip.
Learning about the fort before arriving really pays off, it was built in 1938 by Sheikh Abdullah bin Jassim al Thani, it was used as a coast guard station.
No ticket is required.

This is my second visit to the fort. The first time I went was before Covid. It was nice to see that the upper floors of the fort are now open. It was also great that access to the archaeological site is open. Note that you may not be able to take your car to the site, but there is a bus and a guide to give you the history of the area. Thanks, Ahmad😊. Just speak to staff at the fort to arrange a visit to the archaeological site.

This fort is the one and only heritage site listed in UNESCO World Heritage site. Working hours are upto 5 pm . Far from the city where there is no restaurants and coffee shops nearby. You can have a relaxed journey since there is no heavy traffic.better for long drive lovers.

A 90-minute drive from Doha, and well worth the time. The Fort is small so no more than an hour is needed. Nice gift shop on site and an audiovisual room telling you about the restoration of the Fort. There are shuttle buses from here to the Al Zubara town ruins, but I didn't have enough time to take part.
The colours are amazing, and it has been beautifully restored. Lots of display panels telling you about the history of the Fort and the local area. The description of the Pearl diving was particularly relevant to me as a SCUBA diver and the whole courtyard of the Fort is covered in seashells.

Embarking on a weekend trip to Al Zubara Fort with my friends and son turned out to be a rewarding experience, despite the 1.5-hour drive from Doha. The sight of the fort's majestic structure exuded historical charm, creating an engaging atmosphere. Timing our visit around 3 pm was a wise choice, sparing us from the scorching heat and allowing us to explore comfortably. The lack of crowds was a pleasant surprise, affording us the luxury of capturing beautiful, uninterrupted photos—a cherished memento from our memorable excursion.

Zubara fort one time must visit archaeological site in Qatar.
Al Zubara Fort has been a UNESCO Worl Heritage site since 2013.
There is no ticket charges for visit the fort. And no restriction for any visitors.
It's timing to visit Saturday to Thursday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. And Friday 12:30 to 5:00 pm.
There is 1 n half hour journey from Doha. Around 110 km far from Doha city.
You can visit any day of time but I suggest if you are with family so avoid to visit in evening timings. Because road is not good. There is singke way road for up and down. And there is very rush driving.
Good luck for visit.

Al Qarah Mountain is a must-visit destination with ample parking and friendly staff. The entrance fee is reasonable, offering a detailed history of the area and displaying interesting artifacts. Inside the cave, visitors can enjoy the cool atmosphere while exploring its beauty. From the hilltop, one can admire stunning views of date farms and greenery. It's an ideal place for families as kids can have fun climbing rocks and exploring the caves.
Amazing place to visit! You can take lot of pictures and the place is such a magical experience
The price is 57sar for each person.
Recommended for something unforgettable.

This is a must visit place in Saudi Arabia. Well maintained tourist spot. There is a small museum explaining the story of civilization. The temperature inside the cave is much lesser than outside. Best time to visit the place is evening. You can see the lighting. There are trekking on Fridays it seems.

It was my first time to visit the place. Glad that we arrived early so the line for the ticket was not long. We enjoyed the place. We shared good laugh there because of various pose we did.
The cave was divided into three areas. The first part was where we were introduced to the history of Saudi Arabia. We were able to receive souvenirs there. The second area showed artifacts about Saudi and the third part was the cave. The cave was cold inside and there were areas inside where there was no signal.
It's a good place to visit. Outside, there's various vendors and restaurants for souvenirs and food. You can dine in or eat there.

Visit to Al-Qarah was a nice experience. We loved it. There is an entrance fee of 50 riyal. They have a nice museum that can give you knowledge into the culture and events of the past. If you are someone who enjoys walking through the passages, who loves a good hike, then this place is for you. You can avail professional photography services here. Also, buy something to mark the trip like dates, handicrafts, etc.

The place has a beautiful rock formations and scenery, it was also known as Judas Cave. The place is not hot when you come inside of the cave. The cave was huge and also good for pictorial purposes. Theres a lot of people visiting the area maybe because we came on the weekend. We enjoy our visit in the area. The ticket price is not that expensive and highly recommended. Its also good to learn the story about the history and visit the place. The place was also properly preserved and clean.

The experience is very unique and memorable. The historical presentation of the place was very good and organized. The place is clean. There is resting place, restaurant, coffe shop, souvenir shop as well as mini grocery store for anything you need for the trip to Al Qarah. The entrance fee is SAR 50 and already includes 1 souvenir photo. In case you need additional photo you can also request. The quality of the photo printing and frame is also excellent.

The place is beautiful. It is worth going to for
50SAR for entrance fee and you get to go to the museum then into the caves. But a lesser entrance fee would be better.
There are restaurants before you go to the main are which is good after going through the whole place.

It's very hot outside. And it is very cold inside the mountain. The heart is filled. You have to buy a ticket to go inside. But I didn't like their system. You have to go in groups. If you go alone or less than 10 people, it costs 57 Rials per person and if you go in a group of more than 10 people, you have to buy a ticket at 35 Rials per person.

Excellent place to visit. Parking is ample with plenty of signs to show you where to go. The staff are very friendly with tourist shops inside the reception area. Price was 75 SAR per person which is reasonable. Inside is a short but very detailed history of the area and people of importance from the region. Some nice artefacts are on display. The cave area is amazing and extremely cool once inside. Take some water as you walk round as the walk to and from can be quite hot. Highly recommended.

Al Qarah is a mountain located in the Al Ahsa, Saudi Arabia. It is known as the ‘Mountain of Whistling Wind’ by the locals as the wind seems to whistle when they flow through the mountain.
I have travelled from bahrain to reach this place. You need to get some tickets for the entrance.
The place is surrounded by few restaurants and tea shops.

The place is quite and nice, the formation of the caves are very pretty. The kids were little terrific because of the dark, however it was very normal.
The price however doesn't justify what we had a look on. Even if you miss it, there wondering be any regrets.. but since it was something to look into hofuf we went for it.

I have been to this place couple of times before, but this was my first time traveling with my family. In the past, you could enter for free. But now there is a fee. Most importantly, i have no issues of fee but it should feel that it is worth paying.
Here is my feedback, I entered at 5pm, but it was already dark. There have been a few changes in the structure, but it's not bad because it's easy for visitors to navigate.
I will not go into the history of this place. however, it has the shape of caves, and it looks great. I recommend visiting this place at least once in your lifetime.
Ticket Price Adults - 50sr + Vat = 57.50sr
Ticket Price Kids - 10sr + Vat = 10.15sr

Must visit place for seeing the oldest caves in the region.. it is beautiful to roam around and inside the caves.. well maintained and preserved for the tourists.. also from the hill top can get the best view of Date farms and greenery around.. Kids enjoyed a lot to get into caves and climbing the rocks.. The ticket 57.5 including tax and they started taking tickets for kids also for 11.5 SAR.. But when kids enjoyed inside it is paisa wasool trip.. I recommend to visit with family..

There’s a mountain and there are caves. It is beautiful, and the place is well lit. Enter the areas further beyond the prescribed path at your own peril. Beware of its beauty and complexity if you decide to traverse further into the darkness of the cave.

Once a secluded place with no surveillance, this is now a tourist attraction with a visitor centre, paid entry, barricaded passages and CCTV monitoring.
The induction of visitor centre has ensured that the place is looked after has basic facilities for tourists (washrooms, food stalls and restaurants nearby).
It's a nice place to take visitors to KSA - they will have a good time taking snaps. There is no information to gather here, just to experience the Caves.
Its amazing to experience nature's habitat - The Caves remain cool during summers and warm during winter (all of this is natural).
A good family outing for people travelling from Dammam-Khobar. It's a drive of 1 hrs 45 mins.
There is a Park nearby and has a musical fountain in evening (closed sometimes tho).
The Tree of Life is a renowned tourist destination in Bahrain that has stood for four centuries in the harsh desert conditions. It is surrounded by myths due to its ability to survive amidst scorching heat, and it is considered a miracle in the area's history. The site is well-maintained and captivating, with lush green leaves adorning the tree despite being planted in the heart of the barren desert.
Tree of life…it’s part of Bahrain’s history. Still an amazing living thing in middle of desert without any nurturing. Surviving through harsh conditions. Lots of information about the tree online. Please read through before visiting so that you can have a better understanding and appreciate the place. Over the years the authorities have improved things around the tree and also taking precautions to preserve the tree and surrounding because visitors have increased. There is a circle walk around the tree…like a boundary which will give you a different view of angle to the tree because the tree is not located in the center. Around the walk around circle you can see pointers on the ground to other iconic trees around the world. While trying to reach the spot need to drive through dirt road.

One of the best tourist spot to visit in Bahrain. Best suitable time to visit would be evening after 4.30. Spend some quality time with friends and family and relax under the tree... Really it's a miracle to see a tree standing alone in the middle of the desert for such a long period of time, and how it survive all these years. Truly nature does many wonders, and Tree of life is really one among them. 💞💞🌲💕💕

Mysterious survival in the desert !!
The Tree of Life is a mesquite desolate tree that remains in the core of Bahrain's desert for more than 400 years.
Its age and its area unquestionably make this tree a survivor, which is viewed as a surprising regular miracle of the world saw by most who visit Bahrain.
It has come to be known as the Tree of life because of the very reality that the tree remains in the midst of a hot and dry desert with no realized water source taking care of, which genuinely addresses the enchantment of life and the force of nature.
It remains solitary, on top of a high sandy slope, at the most noteworthy point in Bahrain, miles from another regular tree and with no clear wellspring of water. With 32 feet in tallness, it has kept developing regardless of the limit temperatures, absence of natural water, and nutrients.
Rajesh Nair — Google review
Visiting the tree of life is more than just a trip to see a tree. This 400 year old wonder is the epitome of survival, in the most harshest of locations. Your journey there will take you through the Bahraini oil fields. There is really nothing else around the tree to combine with a visit to it. Bring your own food and water as there was no shops around to buy. Definitely worth the visit as it is an 400 years old tree.
Sujitha Suja — Google review
Whether you live in Bahrain or are just visiting the tree of life is a destination to add to your list. If you feel like going for a drive the tree of life will take you through surroundings that you may have never experienced. It’s a peaceful place where the tree lives in harmony with its surroundings. Worth a visit.

We had a wonderful time visiting the tree of life! The drive getting there is cool because you get to leave the city and drive through the oil fields. We went during sunset which was perfect! You should also go to the visitor center because it gives information about the tree/historic findings. The only thing I didn’t like was the lack of signs. We left when it was dark and we could not find the road we came in on.
Erika Parvi — Google review
Survival of the fittest! A miracle in the desert, that is a part of Bahrain's Historical places, the tree is approx. 400 years old. Well maintained place!
Although it is not certain how the tree survives, as the climate is too hot! Truly fascinating, a tree with green leaves in the middle of desert.
SHAHANA BEEGUM — Google review
It's a bit out of the way and you will drive through an oil field along with some dirt roads but it's well worth checking out. It's a tree with some informational walls surrounding it so it's not really an all day attraction but it's certainly worth checking out if you are in Bahrain for a day or two. It was definitely a nice change from the usual attractions and something unique for the area

It is indeed one of the most mystical places on earth. It is said that the tree was planted around 1583CE, which means 440 long years..!!!
The best time to visit the site is after dusk. The lighting is highly mystical.

Let's get one thing straight. It's a tree, and you need to drive nearly 30 minutes to reach it via a dirt road. In short: if you love trees (who doesn't?), it is worth the visit.
I think the journey is more interesting than the destination. The road to the tree is through operating oil Wells. It is fascinating to see an actual oil well right next to the road.
Coming back to the tree, it is fascinating to see such a large tree in the middle of nowhere. Please ensure you don't pull any branches or damage the tree in any way. There is even a guard to protect the tree.

To think that in the middle of nowhere people gather to celebrate around this 414 years old tree is crazy, but THEY DO! It is a beauty of tree. You can take great picture. If you go in the months between November and February, you can join the multiple events they have around the tree. From horseback rides, 4 wheelers, coffee shops and more. Really and amazing experience.

The tree is not worth your time. It's, well, just a tree in the middle of nowhere. However the trip to reach the tree along all the pipes and petrol pumps is very interesting. Also the set up of for-rent party tents for locals around the tree was a surprising detail. So yes, it was fun/worth coming here but absolutely not for the tree itself but rather for everything else around the tree :)

The security staff are not professional in dealing with visitors, including the female security from the Bahraini staff. They want the people to be in rush inside the showers and changing rooms. They need to learn a good communication and a better way of speaking with visitors.
Selling prices in the store are expensive ( Sun block creams - life jackets - cell phones water covers..).
You need to bring a life jacket for children under 120 centimeters.

I enjoyed my time at the water park a lot as it was my first experience at it😍!
It’s very amusing, I wish the weather was better(typical Bahrain weather humid & hot), I went from morning hours on a weekday, there was no queues on the slides, thus from 4 PM people started coming, line was quickly moving though.
Life guards were very friendly, they watch everyone, special thanks to the hidden forces!
The restaurant staff were very slow, and they overcooked our burgers 🥹
Overall, I would highly recommend the water park for families.

Its a wonderful weekend place with family. Kids will enjoy playing in water and the adults can test their adrenal levels with free falls and high water slides in this water park. Restaurants inside are not so good and just allow you to get rid of your thirst and hunger immediately, beyond that it’s just an average place as restaurant. What's really upsetting to me was the fact that I specifically went to enjoy the "rocket ride" but that ride was closed on that day. I was charged a full ticket but was not informed that one out of I guess 4 adult rides in not operational. That's almost 25% of the rides not working on that day.
Do take your towels, life vest for under age kids and be prepared to pay the full amount for any child above 1.2 m, regardless of his age.
Their will be a very unwelcoming thorough check for your luggage at the entrance and most of your items including the undergarments will be taken out in front of everyone. All this to ensure you are not smuggling any water bottles inside the park.
You will be paying full charge for older people who will be accompanying you, but won't be riding. However, you won't find any decent seats for them to sit and watch their children or grand children have fun.
Overall, the experience is mediocre to say the least. The rides aren't thrilling, but kids under 8 will definitely have a lot of fun.
Don't compare this with wild wadi Dubai or any such water park. Keep your expectations really low, wallet wide open and you just might have a good time.

It is indeed a paradise in Bahrain. It's always wonderful to experience this exciting and thrilling attraction at lost Paradise, and it did not disappoint me at all. I have so many rides and took part in water games. The park is known for its water slides and wave pool, those were a highlight for me. Overall, it was great fun and memorable experience!

The Bahrain International Circuit is a modern racetrack designed for Grand Prix races, offering a range of driving experiences and guided tours. This 21st-century motorsport venue features state-of-the-art facilities and provides visitors with an immersive behind-the-scenes look at the world of car racing. The circuit boasts a challenging layout that tests the skills of drivers, with long straights and tight corners creating opportunities for thrilling overtaking maneuvers.
We attended the 2024 Grand Prix and we were really impressed by the whole venue. They had so many fun things to do and see, like driving simulators, circus, cultural demonstrations, dancers, etc. We had a great time spending the day here as we waited for the GP at 6pm. We attended the race last year in Miami and it wasn't anything compared to Sakhir.

Always full of events and of course on top of them all, Formula 1 GP! What an amazing experience, wonderful atmosphere, and very fun times spent. Traffic was hectic especially on one of the days, yet can’t complain much as so many tourists were there. Early comers definitely had no issues with that.
There surely are several other events that happen throughout the year, yet Formula 1, 2, and 3 are definitely the highlights.
Must visit, and do not miss the next GP!

Just gets better every year. We got such an adrenaline rush just from the atmosphere!
This year's big wheel was a lovely surprise and the roving performers add an exciting touch.
I can't wait for the races!
DJ snake's performance at the end of the day was insane!!

Circuit close to the university of Bahrain. In the desert, but, for F1, easy to reach from Manama by shuttle buses. The circuit itself is wonderful, covered grandstands and small refreshments behind them. The evening and the lights on the circuit add even more emphasis.

Attended the 2024 F1 Bahrain F1 GP. Overall it was a good experience. The grandstand view is great, plenty of parking (but you need to get a parking pass beforehand)
During the F1 Grand Prix, the facilities for food could have been better managed. The wait times for everything was too too long. The traffic to get into and get out of the circuit was also very heavy, so do plan your travel accordingly

That was epic.. Very nice experience because I visited this circuit and witnessed Alpin team testing their car and few days later witnessed the endurance race.
The gift shop looks nice and has enough collection of cloths, caps and souvenirs.
At the gate we were not allowed to enter to watch the endurance race, but we said we going to the gift shop and from there we sneaked in and made some photos of the race. 😇

Cool place for F1 fans. Just make sure you're not there during official events or testing times as you will not be allowed to enter. Still, the noise outside is awesome! :) There is a little shop where you can get some circuit souvenirs even if not allowed to see the track itself

It was an interesting experience to visit the Bahrain F1 stadium. There were some drivers practising in the circuit and the noise from the vehicles zooming pass was thunderous. Can imagine how much louder it will be in an actual race and the impact would be so impressive. Unfortunately there was no race that day to experience the real event
The Al Fatih Grand Mosque is a beautifully designed mosque with a capacity of 7,000 worshipers. It is the most sumptuous mosque in Bahrain and provides a guided tour which is interesting and informative.
It was great! We weren't sure if we were allowed to go in but the receptionist was very welcoming and nice. She helped us choose our abayas, since women were required to wear one going into the temple. It is free to enter and borrow the clothes, and they have a variety of sizes. Children aren't required to wear them but it would show respect to wear attire that doesn't reveal much skin. Shoes are taken off before entering the courtyard. We had a guide that was funny and nice. He explained a lot about what materials were used to build the temple and how they practiced their religion. It was a fun experience and you could take all the pictures you'd want!

This is the largest Mosque in Bahrain. It has beautifully designed and the entrance is free. The mosque is open for everyone, non Muslims and to Muslims. They do have outfit restriction, if you are not following it, they have a room full of abbaya’s and Thobe which can be given free of charge to enter in the Mosque. The only complain is as a Muslim, they didn’t offer any tourist guide to us or even ask which was being offered to non muslim. I really wanted to know the historical background of the Mosque.

Fateh is a large, historical, and beautiful mosque in the center of the island that boasts a list of materials that have come from all over the world. The center will provide cover for those not dressed appropriately and offers guided tours every 30 minutes. The tour is not so much about the mosque but more about Islam in general. Suggested visit for first time visitors in Bahrain.

The mosque is primarily earth tones of tan, brown, and maroon in color. There is a central outdoor courtyard and a large indoor space with a giant chandelier. You will need to take your shoes off to enter. If you like to see mosques, it’s worth a short visit.

Free to access. Do tours in multiple languages which is very nice and gives you a flavor of the culture. Very peaceful. Worth the visit. Takes approx 20-45 mins depending on how long you want to listen to the tour. Staff/volunteers are very nice and welcoming to out of country visitors. Large car parking space. There is a small mall opposite.

The Al Fateh Grand Mosque is the largest mosque in Bahrain where Muslims from other countries and locals pray and worship.
Magnificent arabian architecture with a gigantic dome at the top point of the mosque which is worked with fiberglass. Moreover, the floor is made of Italian marble and a perfect chandelier which was brought from Austria. The entryways that add to the excellence of this mosque are made of teak wood from India.
The entry is free and each group of visitors gets accompanied by a center tour guide who speaks set of preferred language. Make sure this place is on your bucket list when you visit the Kingdom of Bahrain.

How do I explain this experience? I'm still in awe of the beauty! From entering down an elevator in a bldg far away from Mosque, to an underground "mall". After you walk through the mall, there are escalators that take you through tunnels to get on the grounds. All throughout the tunnels are pictures of political famous persons that have vital this astounding piece of art! The Mosque itself is built of sheer beauty with thought out precious gems precisely placed within the columns, walls, floors, and decor. It is absolutely breathtaking to visit such a massive piece of art. This is a MUST see day and night! Tip...the Mosque changes colors at night depending on the moons phase. How cool is that??!!

An interesting place to see in Bahrai. For me, the best part of the mosque were the people working at the place. Everybody was very friendly and welcoming here. I also appreciate good English that these people spoke, making it very easy to communicate with the tourists.
To enter the place, women need to be covered. There are some abayas that can be borrowed, so this is not an issue if you don't have some cover of head on your own.
No ticket to enter the place needed.

This is one of the largest Masjids in Bahrain. Located right at the centre of Manama. It was built in 1987 and has a capacity of over 7000 people.
The interior of the building is a mixture of modern and traditional style.
Alhamdu’lillah, I was fortunate to attend the Maghrib prayer and enjoyed the beautiful recitation by the local Imam. There were about 200 people during the prayer.
The atmosphere was very calm and quiet, especially when I was walking outside around the building. Local people were very friendly and welcoming.

This museum showcases Bahrain's rich history and culture through exhibits on archaeology, customs and traditions, manuscripts, and a replica of a traditional souq. The lower floor displays archaeological finds from ancient Dilmun while the upper level hosts exhibits on the Tylos and Islamic periods.
The Bahrain National Museum provided a wonderful and accessible experience. The exhibits were presented in a simple and easy-to-understand manner.
Overall it's a must visit spot if you're in Bahrain

Nice place for all ages to come, see and learn about Bahrain's history. The place is well maintained and spacious. I especially love the culture and traditions section where they have made models of a person's journey from birth till death, the walk through a market with models depicting every profession, the peeling process and the burial mounds.

It's a beautiful building with great light and a nice restaurant on the first floor. They don't have large exhibits but that makes it nice and manageable to visit. The upper floors have dioramas about the cultural practices of the people and it's interesting. We also liked the sculpture garden.
But first and foremost the people there were very welcoming and kind. One experience in particular was wonderful and will make me have good feelings for Bahrain because of it.
Michelle Mitton — Google review
Came to the museum. It has a lot of replicas and full scale dioramas, rather than a lot of actual artifacts. Not nearly as impressive as the Louvre. I did find the floor in the entry fascinating though. They took an overhead Google Earth photo of Bahrain and imposed it into the floor tiles. Walking along the ground one can simply look down and see the country as if looking at a photographic map. We even found our hotel. If you really like museums, come to see this otherwise it might be something to skip.

Bahrain National Museum offers a glimpse into the history of the Kingdom of Bahrain, to include Bahrain's role in the pearling trade. The museum is appropriate for all ages and is easy to navigate thanks to all the signs. The interior design is very open and spacious. On a hot day, it's a nice and peaceful venue to relax, decompress and do a bit of learning.
The culture and traditions section is one of the more unique exhibits, where they model a person's journey from birth till death. The walk through a mock up market with life like models depicting every profession is also really neat. There's a separate exhibit that explains why there's all these burial mounds around the island of Bahrain, from the Dilmun civilization.

A museum that although it does not have many different exhibitions is highly recommended, for me it is a place where you can breathe peace and has an interesting history. Now you can see some other exhibition like the one dedicated to the airport and its history from the beginning… I recommend it because it is a place that you have to visit if you come to Bahrain, the views are magnificent of the sea and you can also see the theater that is wonderful with a very modern design, you also have the sculptures at the entrance that are very interesting to see. There is a cafeteria inside where you can also stop and eat something, the quality is very good but they exceed the prices.
You also have some boat trips to the neighborhood of pearls, definitely I already tell you that I go every two for three because it is a unique space. 🤍 🇧🇭

It was indeed a very immersing cultural experience. I was fascinated by everything I’ve seen here especially from well preserved artifacts to marvelously curated contemporary art pieces. The museum also provided an outstanding presentation of ancient civilization and tradition through these human-size figures. My favorite part of the museum would probably be The Hall of the Dilmun Graves. The first-hand experience of seeing the fossils and burial sites was compelling and indeed very different from only seeing it on pictures. I was late to notice that the floor on the first floor depicts the map of Bahrain! On the other hand, the staff of the museum was nice and was giving a lot of smiles! I give it only 4 stars because there were not a lot more to see.

Bahrain National Museum is a good place, but it hasn't changed a bit. The investors or the government should bring in some changes to it. A unique highlight is the boat ride to the historic fort, an experience that adds an adventurous twist to the cultural excursion. Gliding through the serene waters, the boat journey offers breathtaking views, linking the museum to the impressive fort with a touch of maritime charm.
The fort itself stands as a testament to Bahrain's strategic history, perched majestically against the coastal backdrop. The boat ride not only connects these historical landmarks but also offers a refreshing perspective on the island's geography.

Let me tell you a bout a day visit on the first day of Eid al Fitr .
1-The swimming pool area was uncared that the tables and the chairs were vey dusty (some were miserably broken)we had to clean them by the wipes we brought along with us in addition to the floor around where you can see many empty bottles or thrown ice cream cups.
2- The open buffet was not that tasty and with poor variety ,for the price paid it’s shocking not finding drinks or coffee besides …really un fair.
3-disgusting toilets with broken hooks ,and unfixed hand dryers ,nor toilet paper at least.
4- The hotel allowed itself to receive a bunch of Asian “GUYS” who weren’t doing correct things in a place where families with kids are at the same time.
5-the EID program maybe was the best part but the presenter man was a bit silly with me.
It’s a pity to find a place going low, compared to the way it was ten years ago ,to this extent .

I was there for Iftar in Ramadan. The buffet was so poor. No variety in food been provided. Bad taste. The desserts weren’t fresh. After Iftar I went to the caffe next to the pool it was nice.

Had a business visit, duration of stay was 8 nights. The staff were nice and welcoming. Food was good. Wi-Fi was very good. Room was clean but the floor always felt dusty. There was a bad smell coming from the washroom. AC-Fans were loud and annoying. No in-house laundry. Location is great next to the beach, the sunset view was beautiful. The outdoor area is having a lot of fun activities for family. Overall it was fine experience.

It was first visit to Mena beach , I had only access to pool , beach and for restaurant . Dinner was delicious and service inside restaurant also good .
There's no services around the pool , no dress change rooms so we used toilet to change our clothes, even in some toilets no water , no soaps lotions , no regular cleaning

Disastrous!
I booked a family iftar and confirmed my reservation on the morning of the same day. On my arrival at their location, i went to reception and asked to give me a table. The receptionist checked and answered there is no table available. I asked him to recheck, but he insisted that it was not available. At the same time, another family approached the reception, and the same answer was given to them. As families continue to arrive, they are rejected by saying the same. In total, around 8-10 families were rejected to get the table, and surprisingly, all of them did a reservation. On getting pressure from families, the receptionist disappeared for 10 minutes. We kept waiting as other people were doing iftar, and the preak of poor ethics, nobody from the hotel staff asked any of us to drink water or break our fast.
Despite, there was no sense of apology from the staff, including the manager, and they were telling you can come another day.
When we insisted, they returned our payment in cash, as it was paid in advance.
The whole scenario took us an hour of argument and debate at the time of iftar without breaking our fast on time along with kids and females.
Iftar buffet has become a business now, and many hotels who don't understand the hospitality business are arranging iftar buffet. Therefore, be cautious to book your iftars, especially when with family or guests.

The rooms are enormous and excellent in the furnishings.
However, the emergency door between the 2 rooms is not well isolated and you feel like the next room inhabitants are staying with you.
Reception services are really slow and only one receptionist is available.
The location is far from everywhere and no markets/shops around.
Food is excellent and better than some other hotels in Al Khobar.

Azizzia Area Half Moon Bay, Al Khobar 39246, Saudi Arabia
Al Rashid Mall in Al Khobar is a large retail complex that offers an extensive range of brand-name stores, dining options, and entertainment facilities. With around 650 shops and parking capacity for 6,000 vehicles, it is one of the most popular shopping destinations in the area. Visitors can find well-known retailers and quality restaurants within the mall premises. Moreover, there is a dedicated fun center that caters to children's entertainment with rides and arcade games.
I love to shop in Rashid mall.
It's connected by grand Hyatt hotel and Radhif Hotel.
It's so easy to approach while you are staying these hotels.
Personally I love Qaisarya area on plaza floor. Very Arabic style.
Traditional Cilvilzation cafe is my favorite place for a tea.
And Sometimes center on gate 1 area for a cup of coffee. Starbucks on 2 and floor has nice view.

It's the first time for me to visit this iconic place in Khubar,,, despite the old age of this establishment but it's obvious that it still has its reputation. It's really huge according to its age, clean and has its ambiance. The variety it has is really nice. And for sure the parking lots are enough. I like it and I would surly visit it again

I’m an english motivational speaker in the entire ksa,
This mall will always be a place to visit with family.
The signature fountain ⛲️ that shoots the water upwards is functioning well.
Usually I find it inactive which made me thought it’s damaged.
As per the securities around, it has a specific timing about 1pm I guess.
The control room activates it when music is played usually,
other than that they activate it when there are rush of public for attraction or at their specific timing.
Some parts might be incorrect as I have confirmed with one security.
If you are reading this, do be sure with some regular visitors, employees or securities if you know them personally.
I hope my review is informative enough,
There’s 15% discount for my followers in one of the restaurants in the food court, stay tuned in my channel.👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼

It used to be good 5-6 years ago. Now it's really boring. Some events happen here and there but other than that nothing special. There's a jarir so that's nice. The mall is pretty, enough washrooms. It's clean and good parking space. The entertainment area is OK-ish. Used to be better before. Nice restaurants here. Food courts are okay.

I understand the process than the mall is being happens, so for the moment I’ll give you 3 stars.
Because the duty times for the stores are not properly mentioned and security also has not any information as a Mall they should to have a Mall Management to give indications to the stores how to operate inside.

Al Rashid Mall in Al Khobar is an amazing place that combines modern attractions with a taste of Saudi Arabia's rich heritage. I've been there multiple times and I'm excited to share my experience with you.
The most fascinating part of Al Rashid Mall is Qaisariyat Al Rashid. It's a special area that takes you back in time. You can explore traditional Saudi shops and cafes, which offer a glimpse into the country's rich history. You can find here unique items and authentic souvenirs. It's a peaceful place where you can relax and discover interesting things or simply having an authentic Saudi breakfast. It's a bridge that connects the past with the present.
Another interesting thing in the mall is its awesome movie theater (Empire Cinema). It has comfy seats, so you can enjoy movies in a fantastic way.
The food court is yet another standout feature of this mall, offering a diverse selection of fast food options. However, it is worth mentioning that the variety of international cuisine options may be more limited in comparison.
When it comes to grocery shopping, Al Rashid Mall has you covered with Carrefour, a big and well-stocked store that makes finding all your grocery needs and offers an extensive range of products.

My recent visit to the shawarma on Hatab restaurant left me unsatisfied. The flavors were underwhelming, and the meat seemed overcooked, resulting in a dry texture. The overall dining experience didn't meet my expectations.

This mall lacks luster, a vast mall with very little footfall and shops lacks a variety of options which consequently lacks buyers.
Exclusive showrooms are less to see, there are few luxury watch brands like Omega watch boutique, Rolex Showroom and a few watch Dealers.
Seiko watches store is closed permanently for which I visited, unfortunately there's no Seiko store in the eastern province of Saudi Arabia.
Models, designs and art pieces designed need a makeover. Without regular maintenance the fountain clock shows the wrong time.

This hotel is a local brand and has a lot of potential, the service is good, food is good, the view from a sea view suite is not bad. For a non touristic country like Kuwait it’s more than enough for a weekend getaway with the family.. They have some lighting issues and should be addressed specially in the kitchen and bathrooms.. The sea view cafe has a lot of potential which isn’t used to its max.. Wish they really work on upgrading their hotel to reach a better level..

This market is one of the oldest markets in kuwait. It gets crowded mostly in winter. You can find a lot of stores that sells traditional things. Like gold stores, restaurants, cafes, fish market, meat markets, vegetable stores, and a lot of other stores. You can find almost everything here or around this place. The store owners are kind and respectful. The other nice thing about this market is the atmosphere. You can come shopping with your family and friends, and while shopping there are plenty of places for the kids to get entertained. You also can find stores that sells wholesale products but you should look for them. It was an amazing experience we’ve enjoyed it.

This popular traditional market is located in Kuwait City, between Abdullah Al-Mubarak, Abdullah Al-Salem & Palestine Streets. This market has been around for at least 200 years. The market was damaged during the Iraqi invasion in 1990, however it was renovated and it got back its traditional flavor.
You can spend hours in this market strolling around and discovering reasonable bargains on heritage goods such as Persian silk carpets, real Arab antiques, perfumes like musk and oud, and traditional costumes. This place is perfect whether you want to shop, eat, or for sightseeing. Al-Mubarakiya features a variety of shops such as dates, honey, spices, sweets, vegetables, fruits, meat, and fish. In addition to a range of shops accessories, gold and silver jewelries. The market also hosts two mini museums: Sheikh Mubarak Kiosk and the first Islamic pharmacy in Kuwait, and admission is free.
There is a courtyard near Al-Bahar or Sea Mosque, where you can find traditional cafes brewing their teas over coals, and several small restaurants are lined-up where they serve authentic Arabic, Indian, Persian food to the customers in the open air. The prices are the cheapest in Kuwait. On hot summer days, water mist is sprayed from pipes over the tables to give you a cooling feeling. A children playground is nearby and shisha is also available.

Cool place with plenty of restaurants, stores, and a great vibe. The hawkers are also not aggressive, so it is not taxing to walk around.

Nice place to do shopping and window shopping. Nice restaurant around the market must try. Big and traditional market

Definitely come here during the night than daytime. It has more lights and crowds and it looks much prettier. It will take you quite a while to walk through the busy markets and streets but definitely worth it. Traffic is bad so park somewhere close by and walk or take a taxi or public transit.

Not really that interesting for tourists, nothing much to buy, it is selling mostly vegi/fruits, seafood and daily necessities, perfumes and gold jewelry along w a few restaurants. My day visit didn’t leave a wow.

This popular traditional market is located in Kuwait City, between Abdullah Al-Mubarak, Abdullah Al-Salem & Palestine Streets. This market has been around for at least 200 years. The market was damaged in 1990; however, it was renovated and it got back its traditional flavor. You can spend hours in this market strolling around and discovering reasonable bargains on heritage goods such as Persian silk carpets, real Arab antiques, perfumes like musk and oud, and traditional costumes. This place is perfect whether you want to shop, eat, or for sightseeing

المباركية شارع سوق الغربللي خلف ماكدونالدز، مدينة الكويت،, Kuwait City, Kuwait
The Kuwait Towers are iconic structures in the country and a popular tourist attraction. The towers are made of blue-tiled panels and rise to 187m. There is a viewing deck at 120m which offers 360-degree views. A gift shop and restaurants are also available. The towers became famous for their design and it is worth visiting to see them up close.
Absolutely amazing and breathtaking sight day or night in incredible Kuwait City!!! The view from the observation sphere is quite phenomenal! I have been there twice in the past month (day and night) and the staff there is simply wonderful - very helpful and quite friendly all over the area.
The snack bar on the observation deck has many tasty treats and beverages to choose from. One of many beautifully rich and historic sights to see in Kuwait.
Completely recommend!
Patrick Donohoe — Google review
One of the highlights of the Kuwait Towers is the magnificent panoramic view it offers. As I reached the observation deck, I was greeted with stunning vistas of the Arabian Gulf, as well as an unobstructed view of the city skyline. It was a truly mesmerizing sight that left a lasting impression.
The entrance fee for the Kuwait Towers is 3 KWD. It's worth noting that the towers also house a revolving floor.
Furthermore, the Kuwait Towers allow visitors to witness the beauty of the sea from a different perspective. Whether you choose to take a leisurely stroll around the base of the towers or simply stand and admire the vastness of the ocean, it is an absolute treat for the senses.
Overall, I highly recommend visiting the Kuwait Towers to anyone visiting or residing in Kuwait. The entrance fee is justified by the remarkable views it offers, giving you a chance to appreciate the natural beauty of the sea and the city from a remarkable vantage point. It's a must-visit destination that will leave you with unforgettable memories.

One of the coolest spots to visit in Kuwait. If you plan accordingly you can come enjoy the cafe or one of the restaurants inside. Take your time and enjoy the rotating observation deck. It cost about 3 KWD for entry only. I’d schedule around 45 minutes for this visit if you take your time.

The Kuwait Towers are such an iconic part the of Kuwait City skyline. And also they are one of the most recognized buildings in Kuwait. I definitely recommend visiting the Kuwait Towers it’s a must see! You also get an amazing view of the Kuwait City skyline and Persian Gulf from inside the spheres. I will definitely be back if I’m in area again.

Good place to visit in Kuwait. One of the iconic plac which you can't miss it. The viewing gallery is very nice and the rotating platform gives you an actual 360degree view from there. They could have added few seat's at least in the cafe area for the people sit back and enjoy the views. It's really disappointing. Very friendly staffs you find from the ticket counter to the end. Please choose a day with clear weather to get the actual beauty of this place. Feel like the evening timing could be the best.
Amal K Soman — Google review
Amazing place. These two towers are actually water towers.. the middle tower looking like Capitol Hill tower contains lighting system for decoration during the darkness. When you go on the top tower, there is a cafeteria, and a section that spins around and it takes 30 minutes per revolution. During that spin, you have sight at a beautiful downtown, water (gulf) and nice buildings around downtown. After that spin though your head start feeling dizzy. Lower tower is where you find your gift shop . Customer service is epic! People take you in elevator up and down, and go above and beyond to help you around!
Please don’t bring any other currency other than KD. Please do not smoke in the area and the compound around. Overall the price is 3KD which is approximately $9.0. Way cheaper Compared to Willis tower downtown Chicago if you ever visited. Otherwise they call can speak English!

The Kuwait Towers are a great place to visit. It costs only 3 KD to get in, and once you're up there, you can enjoy an awesome panoramic view from 120 meters high. The area around the towers is also really nice, with restaurants and coffee shops where you can hang out and relax. It's definitely worth checking out

Pretty cool. 3 kd to go to viewing deck. Not big, but offers really good view. Upper viewing deck has a small drink and snack bar. Has a moving seating area that slowly rotates for 365 viewing while seated.

The best time to go is evening with sunset, the view is beautiful.
The towers are standing beside the sea, nice place to take a slow walk after dinner.
Quite a lot of families picnic at the beach.
Very relaxing place.
Just need a bit of walk if taking public transportation.

One proper landmark in Kuwait. They've maintained the prices the same (from 1996) and not over charged still. The area around at ground level is well kept. The parking needs to be maintained better & the glasses from the viewing sphere needs a thorough cleaning.
Yet, nothing to be taken out- proper 5 stars!

Icon of Kuwait. Beautiful place but as Kuwait is so hot only Winters are recommended to visit. You can also go inside the towers with a ticket. There is a cafe and restroom inside the tower. The tower rotates and you can see the beautiful view of Kuwait city from there.

Kuwait Towers - three towers made of reinforced concrete in Kuwait. The main tower is 187 meters high and serves as a restaurant and water tower. It also has a rotating observation ball located at an altitude of 123 m above sea level. A full rotation takes 30 minutes

We went on a weekday.
It was empty.
The staff downstairs are polite as is the lift operator.
The ticket salesperson couldn’t be less enthusiastic but we had our tickets.
1 hour maximum for each visit but there isn’t much to do aside from snaps.
We went it was 40 degrees outside and a ride share taxi is recommended.
Bit overpriced but good clear views;

Best view experience had a great time . The ticket 🎫 price is 3 kd and worth the price with great heritage of the Kuwait Tower 🗼. The ticket counter is just located at the entrance. The view the place is neat clean service is best in class . From the 120 floor the view is amazing 😍. I went to the place the 1 st time in my life . One time visit is good as I went just for the view

It requires 3 KWD per person as an entry fee. The observatory deck is not very big and becomes crowded if a large number of persons visit it at the same time. The deck rotates itself, which takes approx 30 minutes for a full round. The city side view is not so far enough and gets obstructed by other taller buildings. The sea side view is not clear enough due to either hazy weather or unclear glass windows. About half an hour is enough to visit it.

Great area to walk around, good photo opportunity also from the beach side.
Entrance fee to the tower - if you d like to go up is 3KWD.
The rotating platform on 120th floor is really cool. There is a snack/coffee ahop upstairs. (Sandwich for 1,5KWD - regular prices)
Restaurant is on 86th floor.
Sadly the windows of the tower are dirty so the quality of the pictures are not great.
The view is amazing though!

**Kuwait Towers: An Architectural Marvel on the Arabian Gulf**
Nestled along the Arabian Gulf, the Kuwait Towers are a trio of iconic structures that have become synonymous with the country's modern skyline. Designed by Danish architect Malene Bjorn, these towers have stood tall as a symbol of Kuwait's architectural prowess since their completion in 1979.
**Architecture and Design**
The three towers form a striking ensemble, with their distinctive circular shapes and varying heights. The main tower, known as the Main Tower, stands at an impressive 187 meters tall. Its spherical structure houses two observation decks, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the city and the surrounding gulf.
The two smaller towers, known as the Auxiliary Towers, are 147 meters tall. These towers contain water reservoirs that supply the city with potable water. The spherical orbs at the top of these towers serve as restaurants, providing diners with a unique dining experience with stunning views.
**Engineering Marvel**
The Kuwait Towers are not only architectural masterpieces but also engineering marvels. The Main Tower features a unique suspension system that allows it to withstand high winds and seismic activity. The water reservoirs in the Auxiliary Towers are supported by a complex network of pillars and beams, ensuring the safe storage and distribution of water.
**Tourist Attraction**
The Kuwait Towers have become a major tourist attraction. Visitors can ascend the Main Tower to enjoy the panoramic views, dine in the revolving restaurants of the Auxiliary Towers, or simply admire the towers' striking architecture from afar. The surrounding area features a park, fountains, and other amenities, making it a popular destination for locals and tourists alike.
**Symbol of Kuwait**
The Kuwait Towers have transcended their architectural significance to become a symbol of Kuwait's progress and development. They have been featured on stamps, banknotes, and countless souvenirs, and their image is instantly recognizable around the world.
**Conclusion**
The Kuwait Towers are a testament to the architectural ingenuity and engineering prowess of Kuwait. Their striking design, engineering marvel, and iconic status make them a must-visit attraction for anyone traveling to Kuwait. As a symbol of the country's modern identity, the Kuwait Towers will continue to inspire and awe visitors for generations to come.

The Kuwait Towers are visually striking landmarks best admired from the outside. While their futuristic design is impressive, the interior experience may not match expectations. Limited attractions and views diminish the visit's value. However, their iconic presence against the skyline makes them worth a stop for a quick photo.

Beautiful towers with a scenic deck that spins 360 degrees so that you can take in all views of the city. However, the glass needed cleaning, and it was a bit hot.
A dining area was located a few floors down, which provided a nice atmosphere to relax, BUT the buffet was extremely expensive for the food served. However, the service was excellent.

The Kuwait Towers are a group of three thin towers in Kuwait City, standing on a promontory into the Persian Gulf. They were the sixth, and last, group in the larger Kuwait Water Towers system of 34 towers (33 store water; one stores equipment), and were built in a style considerably different from the other five groups. The Kuwait Towers were officially inaugurated in March 1979 and are regarded as a landmark and symbol of modern Kuwait. The towers were closed for maintenance from March 2012 to 8 March 2016, with a massive fireworks festival commemorating the re-opening. Kuwait Towers facility is operated and managed by the state-owned Touristic Enterprises Company. The Main Tower served as the venue for TEDxKuwaitCity event in 2018 and 2019.

The Grand Mosque of Kuwait is the biggest mosque in the country and one of over 1000 in the city. It survived an Iraqi invasion and was built at a cost of $46 million, equipped with extravagant features like palm tree-lined courtyards, stained glass from France, Moroccan mosaics, chandeliers from Germany and Italian marble detailing. The interior is decorated with opulent blue and gold-studded designs featuring teak wooden doors from India.
Went Oct. 19, '21 around 9:30am they are open for tours.
My friend and I were overwhelmed by the beauty of the structure, it is purely amazing! The tour guide, Ms. Kholoud is very friendly and informative. Visiting the Grand Mosque is a must if you are staying in Kuwait.

This is a beautiful mosque and the heart of Kuwait City. What I liked best was the friendliness of the staff and tour guides. Also, there is a small but nice calligraphy museum on-site.
My tour guide actually spent over 10 years in the United States and spoke excellent English. She was friendly and jovial, and a big advocate of Kuwait. She was very knowledgeable and answered every question I had.
Although this may not be the largest or most beautiful mosque in the world, it's worth a visit if you're in town.

The tour normally is free of charge and lasts upto an hour.
At the end of the tour, the organizers are generous enough to offer water, juice and coffee for the attendees; again without any charge.

Prachtige mall gevestigd in hartje Baghdad.

Well secured at the entrance.

On the 4th floor there is a large arcade for children. Punching bag, carousel, futuristic devices and more are present.

Monastery of Saint Stepanos
Armenian church
Sights & Landmarks
Armenian monastery built in the 9th century featuring an ornate domed chapel, hall & bell tower.
It’s a place worth its visit, in the map may route not be clear and a bit confusing, so we have to first reach JULFA in Iran, then proceed to the Monastery.
Arash Shamsizadeh — Google review
The church was built in the early 19th century and has recently been renovated fully. There is a big courtyard, monks, chambers, and the chapel for worship. In order to access the monastery, you need to do a little bit of hiking, so go there prepared with proper footwear. There is, unfortunately, not much English description of the area and the things inside.

Absolutely beautiful historic place. It reminded me of Game of Thrones.

Wonderful place to visit. The mountains are huge and steep and dry, while the monastery has green trees and a rose garden. The chapel is a beautiful building.

Historically amazing place with a nice nature for some Picknick and a lunch, this place deserves to be visited for people who've travelled to Julfa

It located at the top left borderlands of Iran's territory. The road to access there is very nice. Aras river is laid beside the road. Beautiful mountains with colorful stones. There is a stairway garden before get the monastery.

The St. Stepanos Monastery or Monastery of St. Stephen the Protomartyr (کلیسای استفانوس مقدس) - Jolfa, built in the 9th century, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will need to walk a short but a bit steep distance to the site.
Located near the Iran border, the Tatev Monastery complex is an ancient Apostolic site that boasts three churches on a cliff. To access it, visitors must ride a cable car named the Wings of Tatev and admire the stunning views of Vorontan Gorge. The ninth century compound offers historical significance for those interested in exploring history.
My favorite church in Armenia. So beautiful but treacherous drive to get there. The views are unmatched and beautiful.

I love old structures. I am amazed seeing at the monasteries with all its rooms still in tact to this date. If you have ample time, enter the rooms of the monastery and feel the vibes inside. Ita alao amazing that during summer when i visited, the weather ia hot especially when you are under the sun but when you go inside the rooms in the monastery, the windows are small, just enough for light to enter but it is cool inside.
Abigail de Guia — Google review
I've been hooked to Armenia due to this amazing monasteries. We're reached the area by riding the cable car. But, there is another way to visit the area by car. You can buy some candles in the souvenir shop. Some of the priest are present sometimes inside the church. There is an amazing view of the mountain ranges. Although, Armenia has a breath taking views of their mountain ranges

Worth the drive south to see this place! It’s a 4th century monastery and the views are incredible. Beautiful monastery too. 10/10 would see again. The drive there is also stunning.

So amazing, picturesque landscape. The monastery is build in 10th centure.

Tatev Monastery is located on a large plateau near the village of Tatev in the Syunik province, southeastern of Armenia. The monastery stands on the edge of a deep gorge of the Vorotan river.
Getting there was breathtakingly amazing through Wings of Tatev.
You can take all the pictures you want, however, when you go inside, be mindful of those who prayed-be solemn and offer respect. One of the
must-visit place while visiting Armenia.
Elmer Solon — Google review
One of the absolute top sites in Armenia, the region and maybe the world. Tatev Monastery is itself a small, but lovingly restored monastery, though with a fascinating history. However, the journey to it, the views from it, and the views of it from the highway heading south, would all be worth the trip alone.

Tatev Monastery is the best place I have visited in Armenia.
It is far away from Yerevan, but worth to visit.
The mountains are very beautiful and magical, you can reach the Monastery by the Ropeway. The scenery is magical and I cannot describe my experience.
I recommend everyone to visit this place.

Tatev Monastery is a historic monastery located in the Syunik Province of Armenia. It is situated on a large basalt plateau near the Tatev village. The monastery dates back to the 9th century and is an important cultural and religious site in Armenia. The complex includes the main church of St. Poghos and St. Petros, as well as other structures like a library and university.

The best of the southern Armenia. Beautiful and the restaurant next to it is amazing too. Good prices, lovely food, the girls working there were just the sweetest. The monastery is amazing. The cable car looks awesome too. Loved it. Also a few happy and very fat dogs: that made me very happy

One of the most beautiful monasteries in the country. And not very crowded.
The monastery itself is beautiful, much larger than many of the others. The main building is pretty imponent. The surrounding buildings have several corridors and rooms, with some dangerous parts for older people or people with issues walking.
The landscape around the monastery is breathtaking. This is a great place for pictures.
In the small square building outside the walls, you can find a small museum.
Women must cover their hair when inside the main building. There are some pieces of cloth that can be used for this purpose.

Amazing place. Different ways to get there. I personally walked to the main road out of Goris and hitched as far as Devil's Bridge. It's a challenging track up from there and utterly beautiful. Tatev has the large monastery complex, car parks, WCs, souvenir stalls and some of the most fabulous views imaginable. It's all free unless you opt for the cable car and/or a taxi.
Lewis Mindy — Google review
My daughter's favorite monastery in Armenia. The Wings of Tatev was pretty amazing, the 9th century monastery holds so much history. This is where our national hero, Garegin Nzhdeh, was fighting the Turks attempting to overtake our Syunik province.

Beautiful monastery ! The cable car is the best way to get there without a doubt it offer splendid view points of the magical Valley !
The Wings of Tatev is a cable car that takes tourists on a breathtaking 12-minute journey across stunning gorges and valleys to reach the ninth-century Tatev Monastery. Constructed by the tourism board and a local foundation, this cable car offers scenic views of the gorge and provides access to one of Armenia's historic treasures.
I can’t contain the awe I had while ‘flying’ on top of the mountain and admiring the beauty of nature. The ride took 20-25 mins from and to Tatev Monastery. The queue may get long but there’s a lot of cable cars on schedule.

Wings of Tatev is a 5.7-kilometer (3.5 mi) long aerial tramway in Syunik Province, Armenia. It is the longest reversible aerial tramway in the world, and the highest in Europe. The tramway connects the village of Halidzor to the Tatev Monastery, a 9th-century monastery complex.
The tramway has a capacity of 250 people per hour and a travel time of 11 minutes. The tramway is a popular tourist attraction and offers stunning views of the Vorotan Gorge and the surrounding mountains.
The Wings of Tatev is a unique and impressive feat of engineering. It is a must-see for anyone visiting Armenia.

An experience of a lifetime. Truly blown away by the picturesque views and the whole setup of the cable cars. The views are so breathtaking that you would be left pondering how high you are suspended in air by only a cable. It really felt great and the cloudy/snowy mountains just made our day. I felt that i should pause the car to keep clicking pictures but sometime it's best to just enjoy the view..if you are in Armenia then this is a must try..
Umair Ansari — Google review
A very organized operation, starting from ticketing to timing and safety. Staff were very supportive and gave us the option of returning by taxi in case we'd like to return after the operating hours. And the views from the cable car over the valley are breathtaking. Glad that we finally were able to experience this activity in Armenia.

Wings of Tatev aerial tramway is located in Syunik region, 250 km to the south of Yerevan.
Total ride time from Halidzor station to Tatev monastery is about 12 minutes; a much shorter trip than the 40 minute ride along the steep serpentine road that follows the Vorotan gorge. Flying over the gorge, the aerial tramway cabin reaches its maximum height of 320 meters. When the first cabin reaches the Tatev station, the second one arrives at the Halidzor station. After the Wings are reloaded, the movement starts again in the opposite direction. Each cabin accommodates 30 passengers and one steward. The ropeway can accommodate about 240 passengers per hour. Powerful pillars divide the ropeway into four sections. The longest section is 2.7 km and overlooks the Tatev monastery complex.

Amazing place. Wings of Tatev is 6 km long, the longest on the world aerial tramway ...The view itself is amazing...above a gorge with plenty of greenery.

Must do! The view is gorgeous (despite a bit foggy day).Driving is much less fun due to the poor quality of the road and trucks. Well organized. Excellent service. Be aware, they do not operate on Monday's!

Tickets are available in the area. The location is a holder of Guinness World Record. At the other end of the cable Car there is a monastery that is good to visit.
Ahdy Cornejo — Google review
Very modern looking cable car. The view is simply great. It takes around 5 minutes to get to the other side, despite it being almost 6km away.
If you get the timed ticket, it will last one hour, which is enough to explore the monastery and take lots of pictures.
The toilet on the side of the monastery is not free, contrary to the one on the other side.
There's a nice souvenir shop with some nice looking shirts. On the other side, there are several souvenir and snack vendors.

The Wings of Tatev is a 5.7-kilometer (3.5-mile) long cable car system in Armenia that connects the town of Halidzor to the Tatev Monastery. It is the longest reversible ropeway in the world, and offers stunning views of the Vorotan Canyon.
We recently took the Wings of Tatev, and we were blown away by the experience. The cable car is incredibly smooth and quiet, and the views are simply breathtaking. We felt like we were flying over the canyon, and it was an incredibly exhilarating feeling.
The cable car ride takes about 12 minutes, and it's worth every second. Once you reach, you can explore the Tatev Monastery, which is one of the most important cultural and historical sites in Armenia.
Pros:
Stunning views of the Vorotan Canyon
Smooth and quiet ride
Exhilarating feeling of flying
Convenient way to reach the Tatev Monastery
Cons:
Can be crowded during peak season
Expensive (7000AMD = 18.5 $ USD)

It was a breathtakingly amazing ride. My Family and I with cousin's and Friends enjoy the ride to and fro. The ride cost for both ways is very affordable- its like $16 to $18 per person.
You will enjoy the view of the Halidzor village and the snake road below going up to Tatev Monastery.
Highly recommended for all- Tourist, expats and locals

3 stars because the seating in the cable car is unorganized. People try to queue first, to enter first and get the best views (all are standing facing the glass). If you are entering last, you'll stand in the middle looking at people's heads! See the last pic below.
It will be better if the cable car is organized with seats surrounding the glass, with the same number of allowed passengers.

Noravank Monastery, located in an impressive gorge, is a 13th-century religious site consisting of three churches decorated with medieval art. The bi-level church features cantilever architecture that adds to the beauty and uniqueness of the monastery. It is highly recommended to include Noravank as a stop on your Armenia travel plans or even as a day trip from Yerevan.
Beautiful monastery situated in an amazing gorge. Definitely worth a visit. You can hike up a small trail for a spectacular view

Noravank Monastery is situated in a gorge and just like other monastery in Armenia it has a very lovely surroundings.
The main Church has two floors which you can reach the upper level by the steep path in front of the Church, however, (unfortunately) when we visited this July 2022, it is not allowed to go up anymore. Hopefully, they will think of something how to safely go up the second level.
We enjoy the picturesque surrounding and seeing the red canyons.
Its worth the travel and highly recommended for all.

It is an amazing ancient monastery. Old church's and amazing view of mountains. At winter, it is amazing with snow and fog.

Getting to the place just in between of mountains is super picturesque. We have been there and were told to get down the well as it is permitted to make a wish as by a legend the cross down there had been standing there for many many years and never moved since the first monk placed it there.
It is very dark down there so you need a torch to see things, but not very deep. Anyway, don't be scared to go down as if we would not be told to do so, I would never gone down as would have though that it would not be allowed. Great place with a few interesting things there.

Noravank Monastery is a beautiful 13th-century monastery located in a narrow gorge, surrounded by tall, sheer cliffs. With stunning architecture and intricate carvings and reliefs and place has all total different vibe.
The road to noravank is amicable and goes b/w mountains. It has washroom and souvenir shop. No ticket needed.
There were some small shops however I would recommend to bring snacks and water.

This meticulously preserved area features ancient tombs, offering a breathtaking vista of the canyon that extends into the distance. The peculiar, Martian-like soil adds an extra layer of fascination to this intriguing location.

Monastery was built in the 13th century. Fascinating staircase to the second level over the entrance of the newer church. The staircase was very narrow and steep, making it hazardous to use. It is now prohibited to climb the stairs due to this risk. Beautiful cross stones inside the older church
CK Cheong — Google review
A well-maintained area with ancient tombs, a stunning view of the canyon stretching far into the distance, and the Martian-like soil (a reddish hue) make this place even more intriguing. If you have the time and desire, you can climb higher, from where the monastery looks incredibly beautiful against the backdrop of the mountains.

Noravank Monastery is a must see place to visit in Armenia. The route to the place is scenic. It is the religious sight an ancient masterpiece but it is also really renowned because of the location and scenery surrounding it.
The road to Noravank Monastery is scenic and narrow. After you pass through Areni village, it will wind through canyons and the colors of the mountains change to a bright red and orange. The entire surrounding areas of Noravank is truly surreal.
It is located in Vayots Dzor province, Noravank Monastery is considered to be one of the most old pieces of architecture in Armenia and it is said that has faced many renaissances and renovations throughout its rich history.

In an upstairs dining area, guests can order coffee or tea and watch a short video about the Armenian winemaking tradition and the history of the company.
