It is a great place to go for a walk, relax, and enjoy the beautiful gardens and sculptures. The rose garden is especially famous, with over 4,000 roses that bloom brightly during the summer.
A breathtaking place especially in the late spring when a rose garden is in full blossom. Inside of the park there is a botanical garden and the entrance is free.

Very nice garden and green house. It’s been a treat to have a short visit during this winter time when the weather’s cold raining and not being bright for long time. Good to see so many green colours. The playground is wonderful for kids too. We enjoyed the visit.

I decided to use 5 ⭐️ because of;

Scenic park in the center of Göteborg.
A great place to stroll around and have a picnic or just rest.
Hides a very nice, but rather small playground .
The Rose Garden is well worth a visit, as is the Palm House.
A real green gem.

A peaceful and quiet place to walk around! It also has a cafe and benches to get some rest while admiring a great variety of different flower species.

The garden is beautiful and is just a 3min walk from Gothenburg central station. If you just want to pass your time before catching your train, this could be a very nice place to just sit and admire the beautiful flowers and nature.

A green space in the middle of the center of Gothenburg. Bad day for the visit due to the adverse weather of rain ☔️ and wind 💨 but surely on a different day you can make the most of your walks. Large areas to walk and enjoy the vegetation and fauna that can be seen on the banks of the canal!

Large park in the center of Gothenburg that sits along a beautiful canal and is filled with beautiful flowers, walking paths, water features and an amazing hothouse for palms and many other exotic plants
A fun place to spend time sitting in the grass or on a bench enjoying the smells of the fresh flowers on a warm sunny day.

Recently been to Aarhus botanical garden (also free) and it doesn't compare. You don't have indicators at Palmhuset, some explanations just in swedish. All the place seemed crowded. A lot of closed buildings in the park..no functional toilet (out of season).. so what ? Good for a walk if you have more time but not on the list of priorities.
Ciprian Palaghean — Google review
Great place to picnic specially if you don’t have the luxury of time to travel far from the city. It’s in the heart of Göteborg. The place was busy when we went there because of preparations for a concert the next day but still a good place to have your afternoon summer walk. The playground was a hit to the kids.

Good place to visit from the train station. See the free palm house in the green house. Great signs of Allah to make a person think. Alhamdulilah. Only 4 minutes from the train station. Reminds me of the gardens of paradise. Peaceful and place to thank and praise Allah. Look at how the fruit ripens. Must visit several times. Thank you.

The Universeum science museum offers an interesting range of exhibits on a variety of scientific topics. It is a great place for kids to learn about the world around them, with touch tanks and exhibits that are easy to understand. The largest attraction is the Ocean Zone, which has an immense ocean tank populated by sharks and tropical species. There's also an indoor tropical rainforest, where you can spot colourful birds, sloths and monkeys on the branches above.
A big place with 6 floors of things to do for both adults and children. You need to buy your ticket in advance as it’s time specific entrance ticketing system. There’s an aquarium here, and many other things like a rain forest area, scientific games, AI related activities, planetarium, and many more.
Nader Hasawi — Google review
Amazing, I loved this place.
Although it is a bit expensive the aquarium, reptile zone and natural habitat were amazing but the science and space zones were very underwhelming.
As aquariums go, this aquarium was good with different fish and a "aquarium tunnel", the reptile zone was good but small.
The habitat was the best part of the universeum once you enter it you will be in this tropical environment with birds roaming around freely, and fish swimming in a pond like environment, from small piranhas to crocodiles and giant cat fish etc.
As for the space and health/chemistry they were underwhelming at best, the space one was just facts on a wall and i think the space part is only for kids, as for the health part also mostly for kids but more interactive, adults can enjoy some aspects of this as for the different mental exercises and fun challenges.
Overall I think it was an interesting place to spend 2-3 hours.
Igor Lebedev — Google review
Very good museum. Several attractions for children. Lots of educational activities. Well served of clean toilets. Available space for those who have children and need space to eat a fast lunch. There are plenty of tables to eat. There is a restaurant in the second floor.
Fabio — Google review
Really well laid out - the rainforest attraction winds all the way down the 5 accessible floors, with the outer areas to that serving homage and delight in various items such as space, underwater features and the Visilab which was the highlight of the entire museum.
It’s crown jewel for me was a huge sphere that you could change to replicate any of the planets on our solar system and walk round them.
Truly a unique take on visioning our planet and neighbouring ones, also very much loved the space Cinema with some really expansive shirt films.
Great way to spend half a day. Rain forest was beautiful too, rope bridges and Spiral stair cases were a great touch.
Leon Hady — Google review
Nice place to go with kids to explore many things. The dome show was nice the seat can be little bit adjustable for the full view. You can plan for whole full day.
Try to plan before entering for the different shows.
Muthukumar Thangavelu — Google review
One of the most beautiful museums i’ve seen. Unfortunately we haven’t had enough time to see everything but it is definitely recommended to spend 2-3 hours because it is huge and full of interactive things that you can do.
Ema Topalović — Google review
Be aware of time when arriving by car. Part of the area is in construction and you may find traffic or would need to find a parking spot.
Try to book in advance.
The museum is really worth it. Kids and adults enjoy it likewise.
There is a restaurant with great food. A couple of picnic areas.
The health exhibition seems not as updated as the rest of the museum.
Regina Garcia — Google review
I'd give this place fours stars just because when I visited the area focused on the scandinavian ecosystem was under renovation. This is a great science museum mostly for kids, although adults also can have a fun time here. The main part is probably the rain forest and my favorite animal was the sloth, so cute. In the aquarium you can fin lost of sharks. A great option to visit during winter.
Marco Alfonzo — Google review
We really only had time for the natural sciences. We were there for 3 hours, but could have spent another two. The expos have been carefully designed and look great
Marnix van der Galien — Google review
Best science museum we've ever visited. Lots of interactive exhibits... Mostly interactive in fact! ... Plus a fascinating walk through different ecological zones. Felt like being in a real rainforest at times.
James Doig — Google review
Very fun, educational, and enjoyable. They incorporated learning in a very fun and natural way and made it so that you wanted to learn more. Would be a great place to visit with family or even on a date.
Lazarus — Google review
This place is an amazing experience for both adults and kids. It is a science museum packed with a rainforest indoor as well as an aquarium where you can learn a lot about the species here etc. allow around 2 hours to visit. I would recommend buying tickets online first as it is cheaper.
Vin Chenzo — Google review
This is a must visit if you're in lovely city of Gothenburg. There is everything for all age group. While Rain forest welcomes you when you enter, largest fish aquarium is mesmerising. Every floor is either with science, knowledge, space with endless fun. Be prepared to daylong joy of fun and food.
Kalpesh Mirchandani — Google review
You will not regret visiting this science center. The way all the different zones(Ocean, Reptile, Amazon reinforest, etc.;) they have arranged everything very beautifully. Educational zones like anatomy of human body, space zone are also the highlight of this science center. Also there are food stalls installed at different floors so don't have to worry about food and there is game area and sitting arrangements at different floors. The public transport to the place is also easily accessible and can be commuted by tram or bus
Sreevalli tweety — Google review
This is a spectacular place to visit with children. I enjoyed the visit and I assure kids would just love it. It is a museum where you will find facts about the human body, math, space and more and you can interact with some of the exhibition. It has a fantastic rain forest area where you can see some species of plants and animals.
Monica Tovar — Google review
A lovely place to wander alone or with friends, come see all the animals and different ecosystems thats been built around them!
As well as many other exhibits, both permanent and temporary.
Ramin Rasmussen — Google review
An amazing place with an indoor forest ecosystem, birds, sharks and other animals. Excellent for kids and adults. There are lot of informative and educational games too..

Pretty fun experience for the day, came with my gf and parents and we all liked it. Always cheaper online than buying at the spot so good to consider!
Also super hard to find parking so ended up using the Liseberg one
David Green — Google review
A very interesting science museum/mini ZOO/Aquarium. But mostly for Swedes rather than tourists. The entrance fee for students is a bit higher, but there are plenty of animals and plants to look at. I especially appreciate the nice lights for taking pictures and the very clean glass, you rarely see that. Also interesting is the 3D cinema, which is on the top floor where you start the tour. Just a shame it's all in testimony again. Online tickets work out cheaper.
Michael Šubák — Google review
Quite big science and nature museum. 7 floors. We tried the Wisedom too. It’s quite fun to see the 3D movie in a dom. But it’s really long queue at the restaurant so we waited very long time to get food. Also the big forest area is very warm and humid. I feel hard to breathe there. It’s good visit for kids but there are a lot to improve too
MCL — Google review
I really like this place. It's fun for both kids and adults too. Definitely have to check out the tropical forest. Warning: it's hot and humid, might be a bit uncomfortable so dress accordingly

Planned two hours here during a visit to the city but end up finishing in 45 min. A blend of everything. Hope had longer time to explore. Lockers for storage hard to find.
Felix Fu — Google review
It’s combination of some animals and some science experiments, it’s worth visiting, you can learn some basic stuff and watch some cool animals, there are couple of aquariums which is nice to seat and watch fish, overall very interesting place to go with family or kids
Ali Tavakol — Google review
Very great experience. One must visit Universeum when you are in Gothenburg.
Gives clear idea about different climate zones and weather conditions with such different climate zones
Replica of rain forest is good opportunity to experience with
Information on Snakes, fish and other aquatic animals addsup the value.
Space section and mathematics section is very interesting and informative.
We really enjoyed every moment.
nikhil kane — Google review
Really nice!
The expositions are very informative.
Somehow they made the math one the most interesting.
Even if you don't care about the expos there's a mini climate climb/descent with many animals to see♥️
Visclo — Google review
A great place for kids!
Unfortunately many live animals with not so much space.
But apart from that, very nice for kids to explore
Hannah Elser — Google review
The right place to spend half of the day or the day of you keep up with the energy. There are 6-7 floors with different type of environments to see. I liked the aquarium, the rain forest, the reptiles and the matrix the most. In that order. It’s well maintained with easy accessibility and a lot of information around. I highly recommend it! It’s perfect to visit with friends, family or by yourself. Price is ok.
Gothenburg Botanical Garden is a large botanical garden in the heart of Gothenburg, Sweden. With over 16,000 different species of plants, it's one of Scandinavias most popular attractions. The gardens offer a range of paths and greenhouses which are perfect to visit all year round.
Botaniska Trädgården i Göteborg. It's a botanical garden in Gothenburg with unique trees, flowers, birds, hills, waterfall, lake, greenhouse and an organic cafe. I had to wear a flower tiara to feel more in nature. :P
It's one of the best experience I've had in Gothenburg, Sweden. I just love this place. Best part is, the entry is absolutely free for everyone. :D
The area in total is 430 acres, of which most constitutes a nature reserve including the arboretum and here grow around 12,000 different species and cultivars in various parts of it. In the Greenhouses you will find about 4,000 various species and cultivars, including some 1,500 orchids, a remarkable travertine department and the rare Eastern Island Tree.
merjan bonita — Google review
Beautiful botanical garden! Free entry. I came last time in winter and there was nothing, but this time I come in August, the garden is filled with numerous, various and colorful flowers, herbs and trees.
The entrance is closed to the tram station, or you can go from Sahlgrenska hospital by walking. Love this place (in summer)😝
蕭紫均 — Google review
Absolutely beautiful! A lot of different kinds of trees and plants and the garden was much bigger than I expected. Since the main path is closed, it’s not very accessible right now. For me that was fine! Enjoyed my walk 🥰
Sara — Google review
One of the best botanical gardens I must say. It's very vast and peaceful. Have hundreds of plant varieties from different countries. Also this place is hardly crowded at any season so one can have ample amount of time exploring the garden. Toilets are installed at the entrance gate which are easy t access.
Sreevalli tweety — Google review
I recently visited Gothenburg Botanical Garden during the second week of April, and its serene beauty blew me away. The entrance greeted me with various flowers, although some were still waiting to bloom. The well-designed layout and upcoming renovations to the greenhouse promised an even better experience in the future.
There is a shop near the entrance to buy souvenirs, seeds, and plants.
The free entry with an option to donate 30 SEK was a nice touch.
The peaceful environment, well-maintained pathways, and lush greenery made for a delightful stroll. The attention to detail in the garden's design and maintenance was evident.
I can't wait to witness the garden in full bloom during the peak season.
Tharindu Piyasekara — Google review
Very beautiful garden 🪴 with a lot of places in it to explore. Enjoyed most with family and friends.
Charity Essien — Google review
This is one of my favorite places in Gothenburg. I will for sure come back when it's summer time. They have different varieties of plants and flowers. You will be amazed how well maintained and well cared the plants are. You will enjoy reading the names of the plants and flowers and appreciate their beauty. It's such a big place so it's easy to spend whole day here. There's a trail that you can follow in the forest. We actually saw a red squirrel when we were here. It's very quite and such a relaxing place to take a short or long walk. They have a playground for your children as well. Such a perfect place for a Sunday picnic for the whole family. They also have a restaurant if you don't feel having a picnic here. You can also buy flowers and plants in the shop or they call it nursery. I actually bought different colors of tulips. This is one of the few places in Gothenburg that you shouldn't miss.
Ela Christensen — Google review
One of the gems of Göteborg. Rarely is this place overly crowded which makes it the perfect place to escape to.
The gardens themselves are beautiful and the whole place has a relaxing and calm vibe.
Tip: check out the viewing spot towards the back of the gardens. It's a little bit of a climb but it will give you phenomenal views over the west of the city.
Tip #2: Combine your visit with a trip to Slottskogen across the road. Especially if you have kids, as you can take them to the petting zoo and playground. Making this double combo a very cheap but memorable day out.
Ben Walke — Google review
Perfect stay for family, singles, seniors, etc. When you come through the gate you find the toilets on the right side and the information and shop on the left. In the shop you can buy ice cream (this is a first stop for parents with kids). The garden ist full with lovely flowers and interesting and rare trees, like the japanese cake tree.
You can take your time and take the best walk of your life there. The air smells unbelievably good - even my kids were surprised. There are a lot of areas to rest and eat. A small restaurant is also in the garden (there are toilets too).
Johanna Kadau — Google review
The place is wonderful and huge. It requires time to discover all the beautiful places in a day. Its a good place to take a long walk, yoga and for picnic. I was really amazed by the nature and atmosphere there.

This place is celebrating its 100 anniversary this year (2023). It is building new greenhouses, so not all of the garden is fully accessible and maintained. It has lovely walks around the grounds, a cafe and a shop. It has free access but a voluntary donation can be made.

Lovely little restaurant here in the botanical guarden. A bit pricey though, so keep that in mind. However, you are of course paying for more than just the food. Good shopping place. It has several brands outlet, most of them had atleast 20% discount going on. Adidas and some other sports brands had few other offers. Huge parking space and easy to reach by bus. Wish to see more food options.

It’s one of Very few fashion outlets there in Sweden, but it’s good with lots of options(brands) We can spend a whole day shopping, eating and walking here also kids have lot of space to play around.. good place to have a busy day

We had as usual a lovely time. As a tourist do remember to ask for the day VIP pass . Gives you an additional 10% on all shops even those shops that aren’t part of the Hede club .
Tough to use the cash back up l find, rubbish expresso house isn’t part nor gives any discounts.
Tax free only available in some shops but early pay out can be given at info centre albeit receipt needs to be stamped and sent in via envelope given for the cash not to be taken back.
Prices are ,when special deals on, good but no great bargains in general to be found if no deals on.
Jessica Males — Google review
A shopping center with just way too many stores, I haven't even had time to see them all.
Unfortunately the prices has risen since it changed name from "Freeport" (the name I also preferred), but it doesn't change the fact that you will have a marvelous selection of stores to look around in.
And once you get hungry from all the shopping, run over to 'Dine' for the best burgers in Västra Götaland! (I'm not an affiliate with them, just love their mouth watering burgers 🤤)
Philip von Bahr — Google review
Don't be fooled, it's definitely not an "outlet". All the prices are just as high (often higher) than regular prices anywhere else. Presumably they've just raised the "regular" prices so much that a 30% discount seems like a good deal.
It's a very nice atmosphere though, the walking around between small shops in an enclosed area that's kinda also outdoors.
Just don't go there hoping to make good deals. Cannot recommend 👎
David (Dunder_GG) — Google review
Favourite place for shopping. Huge variety, very good quality, kind service, free parking, restaurants and always cool atmosphere.

Ultimate destination for clothing. There are shops for multiple brands. Most of the shops are not outlets hence it’s expensive. But you can pretty much find all the clothes and apparels here. Also they announce discounts and sale weeks quite often.

Beautiful place. It is a jewel. It doesn't matter if the sun is shining or the snow is falling it always feels like something magical.
It has a downside tho, I would advise checking the weather beforehand if you are to visit their Christmas market, I went on a rainy day and it was a bit painful because the market was in the open air.

The church and small homes on the property are also worth a short walk from the castle . One of them is decorated and open to the public . There’s a lovely church on the grounds as well . Coffee and fika available and a fantastic second hand shop too . It’s just fantastic !!

Amazing place for a walk (dogs included). Friendly people. I loved the fact that the steeping stones on almost every incline was uneven and using normal stones. Gives the impression they were layed there by the castles original inhabitants. As a medieval Fan, its a must if your in the area!

We got the guided tour this time. It was presented as a story of the first owner who built the castle between 1898 and 1904. Sadly the first owners passed before they could use the castle much. It's Sweden's 2nd youngest castle. Great place to visit with little hiking paths in the forest area near the castle. Beautiful after a rainy summer.

On a bike packing trip through Sweden along Kattegattleden, we stopped in to admire the mansion (easy to miss on the bike trail with little signage, but easy to find with Google maps of course). The grounds themselves are lovely with placards posted around to provide information about the history. We opted for a self-guided tour of the mansion interior. The host inside who greeted us was friendly and knowledgeable and provided booklets that contained a good amount of information and points of interest for each room. Overall, I found the history mildly interesting, and it was a digestible amount of information that left me feeling satisfied with the stop.

This castle would be a great place to spend a day exploring the history and architecture, while also enjoying the outdoors. The grounds are perfect for a leisurely stroll or a game of catch, and the forest is a great place to hike or have a picnic. This castle would be a fun and educational experience for the whole family.
Human remains from the Middle Ages & local history exhibits displayed in an ancient seaside fort.
Great experience, it has information in English and Swedish. It shows a lot of history about Varberg and Halland County. It was worth it buying the ticket and helpful staff who provided us with a discount for students.

A modest-sized museum with excellent and innovative displays. Make sure to see the bog man exhibition. Very helpful staff. Most legends are in Swedish. There is a very fine book shop with unusual publications on local history and a lovely cafe.

Here the remains of the old mud man mudgerd från mudbäck are displayed. You can see mud around his bones and also displayed in a special exhibition on the colours of mud. If you like mud you can by it in the museum's store. The store people can tell whatever you want to here about the purpose of this mud. Just tell them what you want to use it for, they'll repeat it then. Have fun and mud on!

Interesting and interactive museum which offers a lot to see. Temporary exhibitions, impressionist artwork, the history of Halland and the Bocksten Man are just a few of the things you can see here. This makes the entrance fee quite worthwhile.
Well-known superstore selling diverse goods on an expansive property with a campground & hotel.
Amazing place. A must visit every time I visit Sweden.
Now even bigger with a large bbq and outdoor furniture section

A huuuge shopping center 🏬 might say it’s almost a signature of Sweden, have never met any Swede who never heard about it... yet 😅 It has kind of everything you might look for… and at least doubled you never thought of… or didn’t even know existed 🥴
I will praise you if you can visit and exit empty handed 😉
Today I was mostly looking for motorhome stuff 🚐… and some yummies 😋 and the pics I took are only a small selection of all they sell. I love this store!
It’s easy to visit by motorhome and caravan as well, there’s a special parking, spacious enough to park easy and convenient 🅿️😊👍

Where to start?? I will cover what I haven't seen in other reviews
1. Be there early. Preferably on a week day where hopefully the crowd will be less. We visited on a Tuesday from 3pm to 6pm and it was still crowded
2. Have a Swedish coin with you for the trolley. You can't do without a trolley.
3. Prepare to spend about 6 hours if that is your first time.
4. There was dinning inside, we ate at an buffet restaurant beside the Gekas, but we suspect the food would have been cheaper inside the Gekas. Like ikea dinning
5. There are other shops, outside and around Gekas. I.e outlet stores apart from Gekas. I visited only Panduro because I like arts and craft pieces. Prices were cheap but not a lot of options like a real panduro. Those stores might be worth visiting, which means an additional time apart from the 6hrs inside Gekas
6. There Is a hotel about 200metres from Gekas. Might be worth looking into spending the night as opposed to making it a day trip. One day just doenst seem enough to come all the way especially if it is your first time.

This is a Swedish institution! It is very big and it takes many hours to walk around here and look at goods!
Found asome cheap offersbut also many more expensive ones! Everything you can think of is here! People travel from far away to shop here! I dont understand that equation! Some things are cheap, but I don't see a cost saving to drive 30-40 miles, which in itself costs a lot too!
Lots of people and sometimes chaotic when you have to keep track of the shopping cart and your company and cruise around between hundreds of other shopping carts!
Efficient checkout lines! lots of places to eat, both inside the department store itself, and outside in connection to the building!

A lot of space, nice stuff to buy, and the sports- cafe! Good salads and amazing cupcakes! No ps5 for sale, but other than that, a cool place to visit for sure. There’s a camping parking spot and big lots. No worries

This time around it was great. Not a lot of people, space to move around, got some great deals. Parking close by.
The food could have been better though.
Usually it is extremely crowded and people are just everywhere.
Remember to wear good walking shoes and ALWAYS take a picture of your shopping carts number in the front.

Very crowded place could move a meter without stopping and trying to get a bite yo eat is a struggle inside. Other than that it's a great place to save tons of money. Specially shopping for the holidays. There's everything you need or want.

One big store where you can get almost everything. From food, toys, makeup, clothes and even plants. So if you like shopping and a lot of people in one place, this is perfect for you. Low prices. You can shop all day and get food inside the store while your cart is placed outside the cafe (inside the store). The store is in the midle of nowhere, so it's a long drive... But the sorrounding town of Ullared has hotels and restaurants. Unike shopping experience...
Cecilie Moland Kristiansen — Google review
IF you get there e a r l y the check-out area can look like this!
But, it's more common to be in the line for about 1 hour...unless it's pay weekend, Christmas time and weekend!..then you should bring drinks and snacks!
It's a huge store. Huge. The hour will fly while you walk around department after department. A lot of useful things and good prices but also loads of less needed stuff! Dun, but less necessary. Stick to your list!
Just saw a battery driven Advent light w a remote control...Now THAT is taking everything sacred about Xmas to another level?
OK food and good prices.

After many years, I finally went to Ullared and i could say that it was hard. It's huge and really easy to get lost so make sure that at the entrance you take a map so you don't waste your time. This is not a place where i would go often, I don't like that much of a crowded place. Make sure you need to put a list and then go shopping, lots of things have got discounted prices from clothes to normal everyday stuff.

Tylösand is a stunning 7 kilometer-long sandy beach that is popular among sunbathers and swimmers, with its borders lined with dunes. The beach boasts great sand quality and ample parking space. Visitors can enjoy watching lifeguards train on the beach, making it a lively place to be. While the weather may impact the experience, Tylösand's natural beauty makes it worth visiting even during colder months.
Extremely beautiful beach great sand great parking was down there when the lifeguards were training and practising extremely good to watch them do their thing happy that they’re there The beach looks like it must be better on a sunny day but still cloudy Swedish weather day it is a very nice beach I would actually rated and compare it to an Australian beach it is a really really nice beach

Lovely beach with soft sand, beautiful view and enough space even when it is busy. There are some beach bars here and there and there are even toilets and showers.
(According to the locals, the sand is of better quality than that of Hawaii beach).
At the beginning of the beach you can sit on the rocks and further on you can play volleyball or football with the placed nets and goals.
The only drawback is that many jellyfish wash up later in the day, but if you watch out for this, it is a wonderful beach!

Nice beach in Halmstad. The water is very quiet and clean. It is a four-kilometre-long beach. It has been named Sweden’s best beach time and time again. This beach was unexpectedly great! Best time to visit is on Midsummer.
The weather was nice and the sunset was around 9pm-10pm. You must not miss the beautiful horizon!
The water was quite cold at first but then very refreshing. We met lots of jellyfish (not dangerous) and shell near the shore. The beach got a little crowded around 4pm-5pm (after work). These caused long queue to the only snackbar/kiosk nearby.

We came here a day when the forecast promised rain but the sun was shining so we were pretty much alone. Amazingly wide sand beach with a lot of space for many guests. Pretty shallow water, great for the kids. Some kiosks around for Icecream and snacks.
Halmstad Adventure Land is a small but enjoyable amusement park suitable for families with kids and individuals with special needs. The park features water slides, rides, and themed areas for pirates and dinosaurs. It offers surprise skits and circus acts that are worth watching. Despite its smaller size, visitors can still have a great time without getting tired or losing group members. Additionally, the free train to the city center is an added attraction.
We have been here with our kids, 3 and 2, they just loved it. Of course, we went there on one of the hottest days ever in Sweden, but that doesn’t take away anything from the amusement park, there was a lot of negative reviews about the place when we checked, and we were in two minds to go or not, but it was money and time totally worth spent. The staff is friendly, and the rides don’t have crazy queues, and there is quite a lot of them for the younger lots, both water based and otherwise.
Anoop k mathew — Google review
Much smaller yet equally entertaining park for the whole family. Lesser chance of getting tired or loosing a group member due to smaller size . The surprise skits and circus are worth a visit. The free train to city centre is enjoyable as well. Very good adventure park for families with kids and people with special needs.
Food not upto the mark !
No place to do your own grill !
Start an early day and take a train to city centre to get lunch or walk across the road to eat at burger king (which has an exceptionally good service )

Spent 1700kr for our visit with our 4 children and was slightly disappointed. Social distancing none existent in the park nor was it enforced. I noticed in the hut there was a shelf full of facemasks and not one staff member using them even when in close contact with so many people. We prebooked thinking that's what you had to do to secure entrance into there but they were just letting everyone in who hadn't prebooked. The park was over filled the overflow carpark was in full use. No one was obeying the rules either and no one was enforcing them, so the swimming area was chaotic! Also the changing room was too small and not enough showers. The bins were overflowing by 11am and toilets were dirty. Overall the park is pretty run down and needs fixing up with better hygiene facilities in place and perhaps some sort of security. Definitely not worth over 2000kr we spent on food and entrance.
Lee “Leeshylou” Lou — Google review
Really affordable price but after a few minutes you understand why. Paint work is overdue, carousels are sounding like they haven't been oiled in a few years and apparently they haven't got time to attach the toilets to the floor.
If you ignore this and focus on the fairly new water attractions then it's very affordable and could give you a pleasant day.

Horrible experience! When we got to the line, 40 min before opening, there were 12 people in line. As time went by, more and more joined these people. We realized it’s a whole big family and their friends are joining by cutting in line the last 10 min before opening. Finally, we tell them because as they are increasing, we won’t get in even though we’ve been waiting for so long, but they don’t care and we don’t want to argue with our kids there. So we tell the staff (we counted and they were 49 - so from 12 to 49...). The staff were completely ignorant of this and neglected us and just said “well some families are big.” We left with very disappointed children, because we wouldve never gotten in. Avoid!

The lighthouse, which has been in operation for over 1000 years, serves as an important navigational aid for heavily trafficked waters with its powerful 1000-watt beam that can be seen up to 27 nautical miles away.

Incredible views! Easy walk that is dog friendly. There a bunch of trails to choose from but it’s a relatively short walk from the parking lot to the light house. There is a visitors center at the top with whale watching views. There is a replica of the old light house that was basically a flaming torch next to the newer more modern lighthouse. We did not find any mushrooms on our walk but we were looking.

It was a very beautiful scenic view from the top, towards the waters. The place was not crowded much. The sunset view, was a treat to the eyes! Lovely colors of sky, nice place to visit.
We also walked down the path, Mountain path near the Lighthouse which lead us near the rocks towards the water. The path was not very hard to walk down, it also had trails to balance. The small rocks might be bit slippery if it is raining. Nice place to spend around!

It’s a great park to spend a day.
Zip line: You get to go on two zip line 670m and 740m. It’s quite fast for last 30-40 sec on each but still quite fun.
Summer toboggan: This on last a little longer and really safe and fun. You get pulled by lift to top and slide free. It’s a kilometre long approx. You can shoot a video while doing this attached to this post
Tree rope high course: you get a brief for 15 min about how do it. The setup is really safe. No chance of falling off once you lock cable while climbing. It can be really tiring once you complete all the course. There are 8 courses one of them being wall climbing. The website say 2.5 hrs to complete but it can take easily 4 hrs. Plus you need lot of energy to complete the whole. So better start the day early as it closes by 5 Pm.
Overall it’s small but amazing park!

Was it terrifying at times? Oh absolutely but that was part of the thrill, overcoming your fears and pushing on. The nature and views around you are absolutely stunning, you just need to take a breath and relax enough to see them.
Recommend it to anyone who wants to challenge themselves!
We also went and had late lunch at their restaurant and wow! Super tasty and fresh food! Large portions and all of us left happy and full!

We spent a night in one of their tents. With the provided sleeping bags and mats it was rather uncomfortable and underwhelming, but also cheap. On the other hand the surroundings are priceless and having breakfast out other the rocks was fantastic.
We also tried the high altitude obstacle course. The crew was helpful and the course was well maintained, so we certainly felt safe. The 3 "adult" courses doable, but properly challenging, with one requiring a good sense of balance, the second plenty of arm muscles and sadly we didn't have time nor energy left for the last, most difficult course.

The playground is fun for the little ones, but perhaps less so for bigger kids. Lots of farm animals, and a large herd of tame deer. Didn't try the zip-lines but the large course through the tree tops looks like it would be fantastic. Pricey though, at almost 400kr.

Really fun museum. Pretty good English support but you have to ask for videos in English. Prices for food are really reasonable and ticket prices to get in are good.
The new exhibit doesn't have many things to see and while it has alot of information but it's alot of reading which isn't great for small kids or even for adults with small kids because they will get bored.

Visiting this museum is certainly a very nice way to spend a few hours. The place is super clean, nice and child friendly, if you happen to like trains too, it's even better. The cafeteria is pretty well supplied, can recommend the cannelbullar (the spelling is my best guess). The parking is free, and it's super close to Angelholm city center, so you can combine a visit in this nice little town to the train museum and maybe why not a walk in the forest or along the river. Highly recommended

The M/S Maritime Museum is a distinctive and contemporary underground museum located in a dry dock near Kronborg Slot. The museum showcases Denmark's seafaring history and culture through interactive multimedia galleries, as well as exhibits on sea charts, nautical instruments, wartime objects, and modern shipping containers. Additionally, the exhibitions explore topics such as sailors in popular culture, exploitation in overseas colonies, and global voyages of shipping containers.
Unique, interesting and informative! M/S is a great museum for all ages and tastes. Lots of good maritime information as well as explorations of culture, fashion and fun. The location is truly unique in an old drydock. Good view of this from the Cafe.

This place has lots to offer and there is a lovely section for children. One can learn about a variety of things such as the role women played, tattoos and instruments to facilitate navigation.
Another important aspect of this Museum to appreciate is the architecture. For example, as one ascends the staircase from the cafe, the views are alluring and I tried to capture the unique way in which this place is built in some of my photographs.
Before one gets to the exit, there are some wonderful model ships to see.

I found this museum to be very interesting, especially the first half, where they tell you about the sailors life. I must say, however, that this museum is oriented mostly to people that doesn't sail or that is not that familiar with sailing/maritime life.

Amazing architecture and reuse of the old shipyard! We spent a bit over an hour and a half here.
135kr is the ticket price. We thought it was free as we went in via the Cafe and never saw a ticket counter until leaving through the amazing gift shop.
We saw collections of Danish shop models and in particular a lot of fabulous interactive displays covering globalization, wartime and the best kids area i may have ever seen!
On display currently is the pearl divers from South Korea. Amazing cultural pearl (pun intended 😎)

Visited with Copenhagen card. Was part of a used shipyard now converted to a museum with different exhibition. The exhibition about sailors and different histories of the ships produced by denmark. Also a great place to bring kids as there is a large play area.

Amazing meusem which allows you to understand the experiences of the sailors while walking you through the history of shipping and globalization. Lots of models and films to explain and plenty to look at for a few hours.

They have a good collection. If you are really interested in maritime things then you can easily spent 1 day. If not and if you don't have the copenhagen card don't bother buying the tickets. I would recommend spending more time at the Kronborg Castle and then if you still have time take a walk round the castle, have a nice lunch take a stroll round the old city.

I absolutely LOVED this place and the funny thing is that I didn't know what to expect.
I knew Denmark was a country with maritine history but it's so rich and detailed that it makes for a very interesting museum.
Ships and the maritine life are both fascinating. Although I know it's not for everyone, if you have the time while in Helsingør I think you'll be pleasantly surprised by what this place has to offer

The architecture of this museum is A+++. How they have creatively converted an abandoned shipyard into a masterpiece inspiring. The cafe was one the highlights for me. Exposed concrete & rusted metal walls, high ceilings in a modern glass case. The salad was fresh & delish! 😋

A fun museum with a jumble of exhibits, all loosely focused on the sea. For example, there are lots of exhibits with model ships and explaining shipping, then there's exhibits about sailors in pop culture, and you can give yourself your own (non-permanent) sailor tattoo. There's an indoor play area that slants so that you feel like you're at sea, and they have sea chanty karaoke, including "what do you do with a drunken sailor." Then there's rotating exhibits, like one about Korean women free-divers who harvest food from the ocean floor. It's all iver the place! But it's fun, and it's a cool building built into an old dry dock. It's a good place to visit with kids, but stick together! It's easy to go in circles in there, looking for each other.
Kronborg Slot, a 16th-century castle that served as the model for Elsinore in Shakespeare's Hamlet, is an impressive Renaissance structure declared a UNESCO World Heritage site. Its baroque green-copper spires crown a vast complex surrounded by moats and fortifications with Vaubanesque star bastions. Visitors can explore the inner palace's rooms adorned with tapestries and ceiling paintings, and marvel at the viewpoints it offers.
The castle is very interesting and filled with history.
I really am thankful for the amazing staff there. They are very good with speaking English and are very welcoming to everyone.
Me and my group had a tour guide and he was incredibly funny and interesting. He told us a lot of things I didn’t know about the castles history.

A good museum but it felt like it could be great.
The phone-based tour seemed incomplete and didn't flow well; also three of the four "tracks" were only in Danish (perhaps it's very new?).
The live action guides were okay but also could have been more engaging with adults.
The "cafe" was disappointing.

Kronborg Castle is a treasure, transporting visitors back in time with its rich history and breathtaking architecture. Don't miss the chance to see the famous "Hamlet's Castle" where Shakespeare's iconic tragedy was set – it's truly magical. Besides the captivating history, the castle is surrounded by well-maintained gardens, providing a peaceful spot to relax and take in the panoramic views.

Super entertaining castle for kids as well as a very intriguing museum. The story laid put by the staff for the kids to follow was very well thought out and immersive, they all really enjoyed it! It was also interesting to learn about the rich history of this UNESCO site!

The castle is worth visiting even without paying to go inside (the ticket is kinda pricey, 14€ per person). The place looks wonderful, and while resting on the beach we even sighted a wild seal and a harbour porpoise!
Around the castle there are lots of workshop and art galleries which is nice as it feels like local artists really have a way to express themselves and get the possibility to expose their work.
The little gift shop is also a bit pricey but it has funny little Hamlet-themed quirks.
Too bad they didn't write "to be or not to baby" on the baby onesie 😆

Kronborg Castle is an absolute treasure that deserves every one of its 5 stars. Steeped in history and famously known as the setting for Shakespeare's Hamlet, this castle is a must-visit destination.
Walking through the halls and chambers of Kronborg Castle feels like stepping back in time. The rich tapestry of Danish history comes alive as you explore this magnificent fortress. From the imposing battlements to the intricate details of the interior, every corner tells a story.
The connection to Shakespeare's Hamlet adds an extra layer of intrigue and fascination to the visit. It's as if you've stepped onto the stage of one of the most iconic plays in literary history.
Kronborg Castle's location at the edge of the sea adds to its allure, offering stunning views of the surrounding waters. Whether you're a history buff, a literature enthusiast, or simply looking to immerse yourself in the beauty of Danish architecture, this castle has it all.
Kronborg Castle is a historical and cultural marvel that should be on everyone's bucket list. It's a place where the past comes alive, and every moment feels like a journey through time.

There are plenty of things to do and see at the castle, if you are with private tour then you will get more time to explore. View from the top of tower is magnificent, steps aren’t that tough. Each room explains its history. Exploring the case mates below the ground was fun. Some areas are totally dark. I loved the countryside drive. Its worth to visit👍

Beautiful place, absolutely recommended. The castle is really well preserved, the whole surrounding area kept in excellent condition gives the place the right lift. It's nice to visit these places without excessive crowds, immersing yourself a little in the "part". In the facing area you can organize a nice picnic or visit Helsingborg, a characteristic town is pleasant. A word of advice, Go into the alleys the urban architecture is a fantastic surprise.

Fun castle to visit. Courtyard has lots of activities, like stilt walking and how medieval workmen used pulley systems to lift stones. Jesters, and Courtisan actors around the castle to provide interactive fun.
Castle rooms interesting with lots of well written information. And encouraged to sit / touch / play act in parts... even a Hamlet set.

This is the famous castle mentioned in Shakespeare's Hamlet, Kronborg. It's only an hour train ride north from Copenhagen. If you have purchased the Copenhagen city pass, your castle entrance is FREE. The souvenir shop inside the castle has a lot of stuff on Shakespeare.
Come visit just to see the history, the beautiful scenery and ocean view.
If you have the time, the ferry is a short distance from the castle and a 20-minute ride to Sweden. The Swedish people are NICE and friendly!!!!!

The castle is spacious and pretty. When we visited, there was an exhibition Magical Ceilings highlighting their beauty. However, some rooms only have natural light and, therefore, some rooms were too dark to see the furniture and paintings well.

This is a castle and stronghold. It is also famous world over as the setting of Shakespeare's Hamlet. The castle is open to visitors including the royal chambers, the ballroom, the chapel and various other sections. The staff provides a quick introduction after which one is free to explore the castle on their own. There was a lot to learn about the Danish history and specially about Kind Frederick II and his queen who was quite astute with managing the finances after the King. The castle is walking distance away from the Helsingör central station which is also where the ferry from Sweden disembarks. There are washrooms available in the castle premises.

The Louisiana Museum of Modern Art in Humlebaek, Denmark showcases an impressive collection of international contemporary and modern art dating back to 1945. The museum also features temporary exhibitions and is suitable for all ages. Visitors can bring their own food and drinks or dine at the cafeteria/restaurant. The facility is easily accessible with baby strollers and boasts creative spaces for children to play and create.
I love this place & have a membership! I have been there almost half a dozen times. Love the exhibitions, the painting & drawing area for kids (I have done it too), sitting in the garden outside or in the restaurant overlooking the sea, getting the sun, enjoying sumptuous meal with your loved ones! It’s a whole experience. Must visit if you are coming to Copenhagen. I live here but I love it so much I have a membership 🙂

I won't necessarily define it a "must-see", but if you've spent enough time in Copenhagen and you're running out of ideas for where to spend one afternoon, you should consider coming here. But only if weather is decent enough! You don't want to miss out on the sculpture garden, which also accounts for enriching your experience at the museum. It is simply way better if you can walk outdoors and enjoy admiring the sculptures and the surroundings when brightened by the sunlight. Speaking of the exhibitions, it's all about modern art, and a few creations really got my attention. I visited during the Peter Cook exhibit, which was really a "Wow!". Of course, even if you're not an art expert, you need to show up with the mindset to embody yourself in the artist and really try to understand the background behind certain masterpieces, otherwise your reaction to most of the exhibits is going to be like "What the heck is this?". You can easily spend 2-3 hours here if you're an average person like me (not really into art, but curious enough to learn something new), otherwise if art is your thing, consider taking the whole afternoon. Easily accessible by car, there's plenty of parking outside. Overall, an enjoyable experience for a fair price.

Nestled into a beautiful seaside beach with impressive landscape where architecture meets Nature.
Louisiana museum has the World class collection of Modern & Contemporary art, which draws visitors from all over the World. It is a fine museum worth visiting. Especially during Summer days.
The most memorable feature of this museum is the connection -between Inside and Outside- is carefully choreographed to maximize the sense of place and reduce the museum fatigue often occurs in a claustrophobic space in large museums.
The collection and exhibition -A. Giacometti, Modern paintings and well curated Temporary exhibitions are superb examples that make this institution impressive. Access from Copenhagen via simple train ride is clear and convenient. Two thumbs up!

My favorite museum!!! Went there several times during my stay in Copenhagen. After my first visit I loved it so much that I cancelled all my sightseeing in the following days and went to Louisiana. So many good things about this place. First and the most obvious one is the design of the whole place is stunning, including the architecture and interior design and that nice park behind the building. Everywhere is so pretty! You can also enjoy a nice sunset by the sea after your visit. Second is the exhibitions. I met my favorite exhibition by far, epic waste of love and understanding by Ragnar Kjartansson, every work of him is worth appreciated, I actually stayed in the room of “a lot of sorrow” for more than six hours to watch this six-hour-long video non-stop. I really grow on modern art here. Also, the opening hour there is very friendly, they are open until 10pm on weekdays. Love this place so much, really looking forward to going back!!!

The museum and its setting, sans the art, is an experience in itself - a beautiful small complex of interconnected buildings set upon a hill facing the sea (ok it’s probably a strait but it’s sea if you don’t look at the map). Make sure you descend down to the sea and touch it and smell it and sit upon the little pier. Perhaps even swim in it as we saw some brave locals do! Brave because the water was already cold at the end of September. But seriously bring a bathing suit in the summer!
I don’t love Giacometti, which the museum has a lot of, but did find other sculpture to love and admire there. This is largely a sculpture museum.
It is outside of (or on the edge of?) the city but very easy to get to and very worth it! In my opinion, this the most unique of Copenhagen’s museums.
My first time here I also had a great sandwich from the more casual cafe, but it appeared to be closed when I came at the end of September this time. There is a more formal sit down cafe that overlooks the sea also.

Louisiana is one of the best museums in Europe if not the world.
The whole experience you get from the moment you enter, to exhibitions and even the cafe are more than satisfying. You will see everything here from modern contemporary to classics to sculptures the museum has it all.
In order to get here from Copenhagen you must do it either by car or train. Train was very easy to get and takes around 45 minutes from Copenhagen to Luisiana.
Make sure to arrive early in the morning to avoid the queues, this place gets packed during the weekends. Allow anyway around 3-5 hrs to have a relaxed but full experience

Even though I'm not particularly interested in art museums, I was captivated by the beauty of this one. It's about an hour's train ride from downtown Copenhagen, but I think it's well worth the visit. The excellent layout, atmosphere, and the way artworks are integrated with the natural surroundings are very impressive. I highly recommend visiting it.

What a beautiful museum! I went there during my stay in Copenhagen and loved every moment I stayed there. The selection of artists and works is great and everything is so beautifully displayed in this amazing building where you can navigate between inside expositions and outside to either watch a piece of art, have a coffee or a snack or bask in the sun. Wonderful experience, in beautiful grounds.
Obviously the art exhibits inside change regularly so the experience will always change.
We spent a whole Sunday here, arriving around lunchtime, finishing the day with a meal in the restaurant, which was delicious.
As a coeliac there were lots of gluten free options in the restaurant.
As an art lover, there was a good mix of the classic early 1900s and modern art through the visual of video and interactive art installations.
As a lover of scenery, you would be hard pushed to enjoy more beautiful grounds at any art gallery.

This museum is situated at a unique location facing the ocean. Ajoined by basement compartments, the 3 separated houses of the museum are bigger than what u see on the surface. Furthermore, the space for the outdoor sculpture garden was spacious with the ocean as the background. You have to give yourself a good 3 hours to view the exhibitions inside out. Really like the overall setting & currations. Definitely worth the 50min train ride from Copenhagen Central Station + a 15min walk to the Muse if u could spare your time for a visit🤩.

Absolute must-see on a calm weekend day ! The train ride from Copenhagen to the small town is quick and the museum is reached fast. There was no waiting line and a friendly staff welcoming us. The exhibitions were well curated and multifaced. Calm, interesting and interactive to a certain degree. The sculpture garden is worth a visit itself ! Many paths lead you around the buildings and there are many pieces to discover. When the weather is clear you can see sweden just on the other side of the water. The restaurant has a great choice of dishes, the shop is quite big and we were able to find a nice poster in a huge collection they offer. Extra plus point that they give you a protective cardboard roll for the purchase.
It was one of the best museum visits I had so far and would recommend everyone who is even just slightly interested in contemporary art :)

The contemporary artworks collection are insanely rare and authentic. Details and caption explaining very well, the interior and exterior really pops up your mind when pay attention to the details.

Fantastic national park to visit and go for hike. Hike I would rate easy. Went there in autumn it was gorgeous with golden red leaves. There is couple picnic spots. Very nice view on valley when you get up the hill.

Nice park, but a 900kr FINE for parking!! It is quite complicated to arrive there by bus. Most visitors drive their own cars having difficulties to find parking spots and risking to get a fine. Indeed, during my last visit, at the end of October, I counted more than 60 cars with a 900kr fine due to forbidden parking. I notice that parking signs/rules are not quite visible and clear for visitors which has a negative impact on the visitors' general experience.

Went to see the mermaid because it is a must when visiting the city.
Some people say it is not worth visiting because of how small it is, and because it’s only a statue.
However, I think it is worth visiting, although the statue is just what you can see in the picture, the place where it is is very beautiful, you do need to walk 15-20 minutes, but with such gorgeous views it isn’t a problem.

Location is just Cool and pleasant to take walk with loved ones. Statue isn’t big but the history behind it is captivating. Industries and wind mills behind the statue will increase the beauty even more attractive.
Easily can spend 1 to 2 hours just enjoying the climate.

The little mermaid is one of the iconic sites of Copenhagen. The mermaid is located on the Kastellet (the citadel) area of the city, which is Europe's oldest in use barracks.
The area provides ample opportunities to take photos and I highly recommend walking the grounds to get the best perspectives.
The mermaid itself can get very busy with tourists, however there are plenty of angles to capture shots whilst avoiding photo bombers.
Greg “Wigan Wanderers” Knight — Google review
The most notable landmark of the city. It is situated in a nice park next to the sea so we had such a nice walk to reach it that day. I was not surprised by the size but quite the opposite I thought it was going to be super small while it is like human size. It was crowded but still easily approachable. I was also surprised that tourists can reach and touch the statue itself.
Predrag Maletic — Google review
I came here because 'you have to' and after traveling to multiple countries, I guess I'm used to see landmarks that are not spectacular per se. The story behind the mermaid was what initially attracted me. The statue is very simple and even discrete, at night there's not even a light to highlighted it. The area around is gorgeous and it makes the visit worth it.

I visited little mermaid in Copenhagen on 28.10.2022 and it really a refreshing relaxing and memorable experience. It is a very peaceful ambiance and park close to this place is a must to visit place. It is 10-15 mon walk from the nearest station. You will get very peaceful environment to stay there.. Highly Recommend Place to Visit in Denmark…

It's a nice walk up to the mermaid. The fountain before the mermaid is more stunning, just at the foot of the fortress. The mermaid is traditional to visit. But could be slightly disappointing.

Come early if you want a picture on your own, but this is on all the tours and near the hop on hop off bus stop. There are several statues and places to visit near here, including the Genetically modified Paradise and GM Little Mermaid. You could see the copy in the Reception of the Scandic Copenhagen hotel

It’s a very unique place and lot of tourists reach this place to see the beauty of this statue. More children are exited to visit. To have a visit we can take the public transport, can walk or can have a ride in a boat with all the information guides. I went by walking and I recommend to walk from the center so you can find everyplace while you reaching this destination. It was a small statue. Near you can find some ice cream tracks and some other food tracks also. If you have time can visit to this place or you can skip also while you planning your travels. There are some many people so if we need to take a picture with the mermaid we need to wait little longer. It’s free. No need of a ticket

To see the Little Mermaid is surely a must if one is in Copenhagen. We took a stroll down the Park to the seafront ,it was crowded with visitors taking her picture. Indeed she is really little, sitting there waiting to meet her Prince! Happy that i got to see her !

I found the statue to be quite charming and the area to be lovely for walking. The statue isn't huge, but the draw isn't the size but instead the story. Work with angles and camera zoom and some nice shots can be taken, too. I'd recommend a visit and also encourage others to explore the area around the statue.

Based on the 1837 fairy tale of the same name by Danish author Hans Christian Andersen, the small and unimposing statue is a Copenhagen icon and has been a major tourist attraction since its unveiling in 1913. In recent decades it has become a popular target for defacement by vandals and political activists.
Mermaid is among iconic statues that symbolize cities.
You can sit on bench and enjoy the view.

It's a beautiful statue based on H.C Andersen's fairy tale, The Little Mermaid.
There's more to see in the area then just the statue. I recommend walking around. You never know what is around in Denmark.
A'lan Luce — Google review
It's worth the visit, even with everyone else flocking there. But it's one of those things you have to see as it's the city's icon and should also be remembered to celebrate the works of Hans Christian Andersen.

Not much to look at, except a little statue sitting atop a rock, in some water. But I hear its a must visit landmark when in Copenhagen, so I guess it means a lot to a lot of people.
Expect large crowds at most times of the day, tons of people fighting for the perfect selfie spot for the memories. Not much else, I have to say. And, oh, mind the rocks when finding your selfie spot.
Wonder Mahembe — Google review
It is a lovely statue but oh my, so so many people taking pictures! I couldn't get close to it at all to see the Little Mermaid properly. The rocks are slippery when wet and I saw quite a few people slip. If you have time in the city, go a little later on or early, to avoid crowds.
Finailla Hackwood — Google review
It's a beautiful sculpture. Easy access by bike. There is no entry fee. it's free to visit. Even though the place was crowded, taking pictures was not so hard. This place is surrounded by water and has an amazing view. And it's very close from Marble Church.

An iconic and beautiful sculpture. Yes, the area is overloaded with tourists, but the walk out to the area is great, and goes through a large park. You can also walk through the old fort on the way. The statue will be appreciated the most by people who enjoy art.

A beautiful place.
Good for a walk on a sunny summer evening.
If there is a lack of signs on the many sculptures, Google will help you to tell the story.

Well worth the walk especially since the excellent Kastellet is right next to it. The mermaid is right by the shoreline, so easy to see and photograph. Fun, free, recommended.

Some say the statue is a disappointment due to being so small. I didn't fund it a disappointment at all and think it's a must-see in Copenhagen. Interesting history of the statue and nostalgic for anyone who grew up with Hans Christian Andersen’s original story.

Beautiful, elegiac, and poignant. Take a moment and soak in the surroundings - you won’t be disappointed. Statue is a mixture of sadness, freedom, and a sense of being trapped in motion. Brilliant.
Brennan Davis — Google review
Loved the view of people crawling around the little statue to take pictures. The mainly empty parking revealed that it was extremely quiet. I cannot imagine visiting the statue in high season. It must be chaotic.
The statue itself is lovely, but since the city is full of - in my opinion - more impressive statues, I would always choose to avoid it in high season.
The surroundings on the other hand is making strolling around definetely worth it. We sat down by the waterfront and watched boats, swans and blossoming trees.

This is a wonderful statue and very popular. There are areas to walk or cycle and the tour buses stop here.

A tourist attraction of Copenhagen. It's in a park and you can have a good view of the sea. There's a field of windmills on the opposite side. You can get a hot drink (e.g. coffee, tea, chocolate) from the coffee car that park next to the status.

Copenhagen landmark with an interesting history. We went early to avoid the worst of the crowds and combined the visit with a lovely walk around the area. There is a large park, an old fort and a long seafront to explore.
The Frederik's Church is an architectural masterpiece with the largest dome in Scandinavia. The church was designed by Nicolai Eigtved in 1740, and despite initial construction setbacks, it was completed in 1847. The church is a symbol of Danish culture and Lutheranism, and is visited by tourists from all over the world.
A beautiful building that you can visit anytime you're wandering about Amalienborg Palace. You can go in and have a sit while contemplating the majesty of it all. Frederick's Church has the largest church dome in Scandinavia and you can definitely feel it just by looking up.

A very big and very beautiful church with an amazing painted ceiling with religious images. The outside facade it’s delightfull, specially with its cupola/dome at the top making it visible from really far away and an authentic architectural masterpiece to anyone who has the pleasure of visiting it. You can go inside the church with having to pay and without having to wait.

Beautiful church from the outside and inside. It is also well visible from the water when you go on a sightseeing cruise or rent your own boat. There are lines of tourists, but it goes quickly. Admission is free. Please note that they are open after lunch on Sundays.

The building and the church within are very unique and absolutely worth visiting. It’s a tall imposing building but inside the dome is the size of the church space which is very beautiful. It is an active church so please keep quiet for the worshippers. It was really nice inside to see the dome within.

This really is a beautiful church. It's tranquil, atmospheric and ornate and it's free to visit. You can take photos of the spectacular surroundings but it is asked that you are respectful and quiet inside the church. When we visited, the Danish ceremonial guard marched past on their way to the palace (Rosenborg slot), which was interesting to see too. No booking required.

Like most big buildings in Copenhagen, this one is also superb on the outside and not so impressive on the inside. Basically over a metro station, it's easily accessible. The most impressive part are the statues outside though.

A Beautiful marble church. Surrounded by statues of men from Copenhagen church society and saints.
A place to contemplate. Beautiful inside. Free to enter. Across the road from Christiansborg palace and on the hop on hop off red bus route.

Just stunning! I would love to have attended a service here, the acoustics and surroundings would have made it feel very special. It was busy with visitors but thankfully quiet and peaceful. The leaflet gave so much information but we only saw them on our way out so we read about the church from the outside.

Also known as the Marble Church, the church is a magnificent testament to architectural grandeur. Its stunning dome and graceful colonnade are awe-inspiring, and the creamy marble facade adds a touch of opulence to the cityscape. Stepping inside, the vast, light-filled interior is nothing short of breathtaking.
Willy Dinata — Google review
The church was very peaceful and quiet. We reached at almost closing time, but it was possible to get in, have a bit of a sit down and appreciate the art. Essentially, the church is just the area under the dome, and so may not be able to seat as many people as bigger churches or cathedrals, but it doesn't feel small.
Every time I've been there, it's been by foot as it's almost always a short walk from any of the other attractions near the city centre.

Marble Church (Marmorkirken) in Copenhagen is an architectural gem. Its stunning dome, intricate design, and serene atmosphere make it a must-visit landmark. Don't miss the chance to admire its beauty and history.

Beautiful building (sometimes called the marble church) It's one of the most beautiful churches I've been to in Copenhagen. The church opened 145 years after the foundation stone was laid. The ceiling has an intricate design with the disciples painted, and there are some beautiful stained glass windows. During summer you can do a guided tour from the top of the church from 1pm. This can't be booked in advance.
The church is close to Amalienborg palace, so there is a lot to see around.

Designed by the architect, Nicolai Eigtved in 1740, it was intended to commemorate the 300 years jubilee of the first coronation of a member of the House of Oldernberg.
An architectural marvel of old times, the church not only provides great photos of the exterior but also has a stunningly and intricately designed interior architecture with a dome that makes you feel you've transported back in time.
A perfect place to seek solace, peace and have a reflection, the church is large enough to house multiple pews for anyone wanting to soak in the sacred and Spiritual environment.

Both the interior and exterior of this church is absolutely magnificent, I'm glad I visited it before the sunset on my only night in Copenhagen for a layover.
Similar in essence to the Duomo in Florence, but very much Danish in character.
Unfortunately, some hooligans were skateboarding along the stairs and grinding on the walls, but once you get inside the church, it becomes silent.
The perimeter of the base of the church is lined with statues of prominent Christian figures in Danish history.
This is definitely one of the must-see places if you'll only be in Copenhagen for a day or two!

Also known as the Marble Church, Frederick’s Church is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Copenhagen – especially for its dome which is the largest in Scandinavia. This dome spans 31 meters and is supported by 12 columns.
Along with all other structures in Frederiksstaden district, the church was built to commemorate a member of the House of Oldenburg’s 300 years coronation jubilee celebrations. It was designed and erected by architect Nicolai Eigtved in 1740. King Frederick V laid the foundation stone in 1749. Eigtved died in 1754 due to which construction was hit by budget constraints and had to be stalled.

Amalienborg Palace is a royal palace located in central Copenhagen, Denmark. It was originally built in 1754 as a residence for the Danish King Frederick V and has since been used by the Danish royal family, including as their primary residence from 1814 to 1972. The palace has been the venue for many important events in Danish history, including coronations of kings and queens, state funerals, and foreign visits by heads of state.
Residence od the Danish Royal Family. Worth to visit, especially the queen's jewellery gallery. Personally I am imoressed how Queen Margrett and rest of the Royal Family are opened to the ordinary people - much more than British Royal Family. Sunday guard change is also worth to See.

Really nice area and a stunning castle. You have to see the changing of the guards. It’s at 12 every day and get packed but u can get a good view. Flags mean the family is home which we learned that today. Explore the area. You will enjoy it.

The Amalienborg Palace is currently under construction, but you can still visit. If you have the Copenhagen City pass on your phone, your entry is FREE. Just remember to reserve your spot to visit on their website.
This palace reminded me of the other European Palaces, like they wanted the same kind of vibe. It's similar but not the same on a much smaller scale. They also have guards. I think the Danish Queen actually lives on this property. There was a large photograph of her, and I recall seeing her highness on Netflix.
Suzie Kim — Google review
A nice tourist attraction in the heart of Copenhagen is the changing of the guards at the royal castle. But be aware that if the king isn’t at the castle (no Danish flag is flying on the castle roof) it will be the “smaller” version of changing of the guards. This means no orchestra accompanying the change. Nonetheless a nice experience. And a beautiful castle of course.

I ended up staying in Copenhagen for a night before travelling onwards. Decided to walk to Amalienborg and its always a pleasure visiting. Such an impressive setting and something calming about the way the guards 💂♂️ walk around like clockwork. Great setting to with the water next door and the famous Nyhavn only a short walk away
Kim Kjaerside — Google review
If you happen to visit at noon, you can experience the changing of the guards. They March everyday from their barracks near Rosenborg Castle through the streets of Copenhagen and end up at this location. While only a small portion of the palace is open to the public, it features a well organized exhibition that offers a fair overview of royal life in the recent past and palace interiors. The first floor has mostly reproduced studies of the various monarchs while the upper floor is meant to demonstrate the contemporary interiors of the palace...

The Official Residence of the Danish King is definitely worth a visit. The changing of the Guards was enjoyable to watch. The exhibit on King Frederik X was very well done and even made me a bit emotional (even though I have no link to Danish culture). By complete chance I happened to see the Dowager Queen being driven into the Palace.

Amalienborg was a fun place to visit. We enjoyed reading about the more recent royals and going through the rooms. I gave this a 4 just because I feel the other palaces in Denmark have much more history and more rooms to go through as well as beautiful grounds. If you do have time it's definitely worth a visit and if you plan it correctly you can also see the changing of the guards at noon. You will want to purchase your tickets before hand as only a certain amount if visitors are allowed in at a time. It's currently only open on Saturdays and Sundays.
Amber Webb — Google review
It was a interesting palace. You just walked in to a kind of court and around you there are different buildings. Apparently at every building around lives a part of the royal family and there are underground tunnels so they can visit eachother.
We were there when there were guards walking around so that was nice to see.
It’s something nice to have visited if you are in the area.

There’s palaces that belong to different kings in Denmark history here. And in the middle there’s a Frederik V statue. Definitely a visit point when you are in Copenhagen. But to be honest I don’t find it really spectacular. There are always tourist groups around but the place is quite big so you don’t really feel overwhelmed by the crowd

One of the best palaces along with a church in Denmark. The royal palace is maintained in good shape and restoration work is under process.

If you like finding out the history of the modern Danish monarchy, you will find it interesting. Otherwise, it is a collection of rooms "held" in time. The outside of these buildings is quite impressive. There were a number of interesting tidbits of history for a non-Dane, and of course, some lovely jewelry and furnishings.
Linda McLoon — Google review
Built in the 1750’s Amalienborg’s four palaces, surrounding a formal square and a statue of Frederick V, are typical of the period. Rococo interiors with furnishings from the early 1900’s displayed in the museum. Changing of the guard is at 12 noon daily. There is currently an exhibition describing Denmark’s king and his family. There is a shop but no cafe.

The symmetry of the palaces, the changing of the guard, and the historical significance make it a captivating place to visit. It's a must-see for those interested in Danish monarchy and architectural splendor. With that being said, it kinda looks unimpressive with all the picturesque places around.

What a beautiful place to visit. The change of guard and the official band put an excellent performance for the audience. Quality, pride, tradition, and military values all meet at noon at the main palace square. It's worth the visit. This is my 4th time, and I can't wait to go see it again.

Not the grandest palace but very proportionate and balanced. Sheer good taste. Even the ceremonial change of the guard looks more human than in similar venues. Most if not all the soldiers were female on the time of my visit.

The exhibit for the king was excellent. And staying to watch the changing of the guards definitely made the experience worthwhile, but it’s not necessarily part of the admissions ticket for the museum.

Copenhagen’s Nyhavn is a beautiful harbor lined with restaurants and bars. It was originally a working-class area filled mostly with sailors and fishermen, but Baroque Architecture still pops up in many of the buildings. The harbor is one of the most popular areas in the city and its a great place to start exploring Copenhagen!
This was a beautiful place with loads of tourists as well as loads of Christmas vibes were coming from that... As there was a Christmas market as well as there was harbour to have a boat ride... The Church of Our Saviour is a stunning 17th-century Baroque place of worship in Copenhagen. It offers an exhilarating excursion as visitors can climb the narrow winding stairs to reach the top of the church tower, providing breathtaking views across the city. The church is a notable landmark on tours of Copenhagen, along with other attractions like the old Stock Exchange and the Little Mermaid.
Breathtaking view of the city from the top. It requires climbing which can be a bit challenging since there are 400 steps but it’s definitely worth it. You can climb the stairs all the way to the top. It can be very windy up there but the view is incredible. Best view of the city!
T?mea Moln?rov? — Google review
A must visit while in Copenhagen. The best 360 degree views of the entire city from the outdoor staircase. If you're afraid of heights the outside top section of the staircase may be a challenge but you can always stop at the viewing deck for some good views without climbing all the way to the top. The inside stair climb gets decently narrow at the top but is such a cool experience seeing the history and architecture up close. I was inside the tower when the bells went off and it was such a cool experience! The entry fee is super cheap and they accept major credit cards. Highly recommend you add it to your must-do list on your visit!

The Church of Our Saviour in Copenhagen is an architectural masterpiece that offers a truly unique and exhilarating experience for visitors. Its iconic steeple climb is an opportunity to conquer fears and witness breathtaking views of the city.
The church itself is a stunning example of Danish Baroque architecture, with its intricate details and beautiful interior. However, it's the steeple climb that sets this place apart. If you can muster up the courage to ascend its winding, narrow staircase, you're in for a treat.
As you climb higher, the anticipation builds, and when you finally reach the outdoor spiral staircase, the adrenaline rush is undeniable. The panoramic views of Copenhagen from the top are nothing short of awe-inspiring. The city sprawls out beneath you, revealing its charm and beauty in every direction.
While the ascent can be challenging, the feeling of accomplishment upon reaching the top is unmatched. It's a journey that not only offers breathtaking vistas but also a sense of personal triumph over fear. The Church of Our Saviour's steeple climb is a must for those seeking a memorable adventure and a new perspective on Copenhagen.

What can I say about something that everyone is highly speaking? I found the church closed, although I had an appointment to climb into the tower. Inside, the stairs are easy to climb, at the beginning, then they become steeper and steeper, reaching to vertical in last part. Then, you reach a platform from where you have a wonderful see sight of the city. The outer stairs are becoming narrower as you climb, in order to reach nowhere as they never have a real end ( and you hit your head into something hard). If it’s crowded, then there is an issue as there is not enough space. As a summary, you go up in order to have from where to come down. The main piece is the platform as it’s the place where you fill your heart with beauty. Let’s say it was worth it.

Really nice view! Maybe the best in town. Buy your tickets in advance, we tried to go on Thursday and were sold out even online. So, we get the tickets next day but when we bought it (maybe 5:00 pm) it just left tickets to 7:00 & 7:30 (the last schedules).

The external spiral winding is really nice to climb up. It costs around 60dkk per person for entry. The church bell looks really old but built really strong. The inner wooden staircase looks really old but nostalgic. The view from up top the church is magical. It's more beautiful if you can time it at the end of hour so that you can hear all the church bells ringing and echoing.

This Church has a lot of history in Denmark is a place you should definitely see when visiting Copenhagen. If you are afraid of heights I still recommend taking a look at the chapel as it is very ornate. For the adventurous type climbing the tower is a must! The price for adults is only 65 DKK and students get a discount as well. The views are breathtaking. The stairs do get narrow so I would recommend being in some physical shape and not being afraid of heights. Seriously one of my favorite places to visit.

Worth a visit! Great views from the top. Very windy so wrap up warm! The cost of the entry ticket 🎟️ is reasonable too.
There is a short video explaining the story of the church; this runs in Danish and English- stick around to watch it in the language you understand-it’s very nice.

I was supposed to climb the tower, but unfortunately it was cancelled due to the bad weather conditions.
I had booked the ticket in advance online, and was really impressed by how quickly they refunded the money back to my account.
I only received the cancellation email once I’d arrived at the church, so thought I might as well have a look inside whilst I was there.
The interior of the church is actually really beautiful, and definitely worth visiting.

Baroque Copenhagen church built in 1695 with a 70 metre spire constructed more than 50 years later. Climbing the spire is a great experience with fantastic views over the city. It is 400 steps to the top with the final 150 steps on the outside. If you plan a visit make sure to buy timed tickets for entry to the spire in advance.
Our Savior's Church tower contains six large bells and a fantastic carillon. With as many as 48 bells, the carillon plays its delicate melodies over the neighbourhood daily

Amazing view from the top. A lot of stairs to climb, but I would not call it a struggle. Anyway, would not recommend for elderly or really small children. Stairs are wooden, dark, so kind of spooky, but definitly worth of the view.
Visnja Markovic — Google review
My highlight of the trip! The ticket was worth the price. The view is amazing from the tower. Can be a bit scary or uncomfortable going up though. I would suggest getting a time slot in advance. There were many people and we had to wait for 40 minutes before getting in.

Such a cool spire and lookout point—best view of the city! I can’t find any proof that they’re related, but it makes me think of King Trident’s castle from Disney’s The Little Mermaid (and Walt did love to steal designs from Europe). This spire had an amazing 360° views and some interesting artifacts inside, but definitely not a good trip for those with a fear of heights.

Our Saviour's is one of Denmark's most famous churches. The spire is an icon in the city, I signed up the climbing tour and waited for about 40 minutes. It was really worth the effort climbing the 400 steps to the top. The views of the entire Copenhagen was magnificent, and you appreciated the wooden stairways have been there for centuries for the worshipers. A must-see for the city! Cheers!

We weren’t sure whether to climb it as we were exhausted from the previous days but we did it and we don’t regret it. Whether because of the adrenalin or the views, the 400 steps weren’t as many as it sounds and it was a 30-40 minutes experience all in all(including going down). It was great even if one’s not very confident with heights.

Pros: Very fun. Went on a sunset tour during summer, stayed at top for about half an our. Incredible views of the city. Would recommend going towards the end of a trip so you can find all the places you have visited. If you book sunset tickets you will have water and snacks at the top.
Cons: It is very VERY high up. Would not recommend if you have a fear of heights. If you are scared of heights, a great alternative would be the round tower. There are a lot of very scary stairs and if you choose to go to the very top it gets really scary climbing the spiral staircase outside the tower.
Gregory Ipeirotis — Google review
Amazing view of the city from top, but needs you to climb about 15 floors through difficult stairs. Also by the time you reach the top, it feels quite high and windy (a bit scary as well, even though the stairs have a solid railing to prevent any disaster).
The view of the city from top is unmatched. Also the large bells and their synchronous music is amazing to imagine while climbing the tower.
We couldn't enter first time we visited due to a long wait, and next time we booked tickets in advance - would strongly recommend doing that.
Purav Gandhi — Google review
What an amazing church. It not only looks like a wine diamond and is eye-catching, but you can also climb from the bottom to the top. The wooden ladder is very thrilling, but when you get to the top, you can see the entire Copenhagen scenery. Really impressive ~

One of the highlights of our trip to Copenhagen. We had to book a ticket online because it was already sold out when we first arrived there. But the wait was worth it. The first 250 steps up were very easy, after that it got steeper and you really had to watch where you are going. The views at the top were amazing! There is a limit of people per times timeslot so it wasn't that crowded on top of the church. We really enjoyed it and would recommend it.
Notes: If you have kids or elderly people with you, you should reconsider going up the tower due to the difficult climb up. And obviously it isn't made for people afraid of heights.

Book a time slot well in advance to avoid disappointment. Amazing bells on view on the way up the wooden stairs. Fantastic panoramic views from the top viewing platform and a further brass spiral staircase takes you even higher! Don't miss the amazing organ in the church below. Nearby Christiana worth a stroll.

We only got to the tower since the church was close to the time we visited. Great monument, have to climb some steep stairs to get to the top where the view over Copenhagen is outstanding. Totally worth the leg exercise!
I guess one should be cautious in case of strong winds
Nick Z — Google review
Worth every penny to climb up the tower and learn about the history! The tower’s upper part is very steep and there are quite a lot of stairs so might require some physical fitness to climb

Gorgeous and unique looking church. The main church itself was closed due to a funeral service but the tower above was open as normal. If you’re scared of heights, give it a miss! We naively went up on a very windy day and as someone that’s not even remotely scared of heights, it was scary!!
I can imagine it being scary on a calm day too, low railings, steps leaning on an angle, etc… the steps just get smaller and smaller until they just disappear and you can’t walk any further.
Worth it for the fantastic views from the top though!

In 2024, a special celebration of Johann Sebastian Bach's organ music is held in Our Saviour's Church. Over 16 hour-long concerts, organist Lars Sømod will perform all the organ pieces in Johann Sebastian Bach's catalogue of works on the church's famous elephant organ during the year - a powerful performance by the greats.

But there is much more to see and do.
You can climb the tower! On the outside! Highly recommended. The view is amazing.

Monumental organ inssiide this church is a must see. The view from its tower is absolutely stunning when the weather is nice. However note that tower church is closed in January.
nadia641 — Google review
The 360 degrees views from the viewing platform are not to be missed …and even more spectacular if you dare to continue upwards along the outside spiral metal staircase. Not for the faint hearted though … As it’s the same steep 400 steps up that you climb inside the tower and the same steps down … but so worth the exercise you give your lungs and legs.

Lund Cathedral, an iconic Lutheran church constructed in the 1100s, boasts a unique astronomical clock and weekend organ concerts. The Romanesque cathedral is known for its twin towers and impressive wooden figures that come to life during the striking of In Dulci Jubilo. Finn, a mythological giant who helped with construction, can be found within the crypt along with a comically carved 16th-century well.
A little Swedish wonder. I enjoyed everything in this cathedral: the historical context for its building (the artificial creation of several bishops to gain the autonomy against the archbishop of the Hanseatic league), the sculptures on the stalls, the crypt and its couple of evil giants turned into stones, the permanent clock, etc.

The intricately carved details, towering ceilings, and beautiful stained glass windows create a serene atmosphere perfect for reflection and admiration. Whether you're a history buff, an architecture enthusiast, or simply seeking a moment of tranquility, Lund Cathedral offers a captivating experience. Its central location in the charming city of Lund makes it a must-visit destination for anyone exploring southern Sweden. Don't miss the opportunity to marvel at this magnificent gem of Scandinavian culture and spirituality.

I've heard good things about the Lund Cathedral, unfortunately when I went, there was a service and guest couldn't go in. The exterior was also under renovation, along with the building next to it. I would not recommend to come during April due to all the events, and also not on a Sunday. The exterior though looked OK, hopefully I can come back in the future when everything's completed.

It was a great experience to see one of the oldest buildings still in use in Sweden and is home to several historic furnishings and works of art! It is in the centre of the city, close to many restaurants and cafés. There is no entrance fee to enter the Cathedral, but you could buy brochures or guided tours!
Don't miss the astronomical clock that dates from around 1425. It displays signs of the zodiac and the phases of the moon!

The 900 year old gothic style church is very impressive. They have been renovating the roof, but now the scaffolding is being taken down so you can also enjoy the exterior. Remember to visit the crypt to see the beautifully ornamented pillars.

The best and biggest church in Lund with very nice surroundings. 5 kr for littering a small candle at the church and it’s working fine with Swish. The church is under renovation so the rooftop is taken down now and it looks funny.

It is one of the oldest stone buildings still in use in Sweden. It is very much near to lund central and is a beautifully preserved architectural church. It consists of two towers built by Zettervall, which flank the main entrance to the west.

Stopped here while visiting Lund, and it was worth it! The outside looks amazing, but the insiding is mesmerizing! The crypt was open when we went. The clock was near to see. The cathedral has a very midieval vibe to it, and we loved it!

American POV: a beautiful church, clearly rich in history. I wish there were more descriptions/signs in English so I could understand more without requiring a tour guide. Visiting on a Sunday in November it was very quiet and not busy.

A remarkable beautiful cathedral that is almost 1000 old according to the tour info I have been told. It is well maintained over the years, and the design is absolutely spectacular with its magnificent structures. The natural lighting shades the interior beautifully.
They have a special clock that does a cute little performance twice a day, one at 3 pm and one at 11 am or 1 pm... couldn't recall clearly. Enjoy the show, and don't put too much expectations on it lol

This is a beautiful and ornate cathedral. It is well kept and very true to its origins. The feel of this cathedral is really uplifting and sacred. It has an amazing clock, which is a true treasure. We were lucky enough to be there when it rang, and the mechanical workings were incredible to see and hear. It was by far my favorite church that we stopped at in the southern part of Sweden (admittedly, we didn't go to every single one). The lady at the front desk was extremely helpful as well and answered all of our various questions very kindly.

During our visit to Lund Cathedral, we were treated to a truly remarkable experience. Consecrated in 1145, the cathedral holds significant historical importance and houses numerous renowned artifacts. The medieval clock and 11th-century crypt are just a couple of the fascinating features within. It comes as no surprise that the cathedral attracts over 700,000 visitors annually. With three stars in the Guide Michelin's Green guide, it stands as a prominent example of Roman architecture. The best part was that entrance to the cathedral was free, and nearby parking spaces were readily available. The friendly church staff added to the warm and welcoming atmosphere. Overall, our visit to Lund Cathedral was a treat for the eyes and a captivating journey through history.
Venerable botanical garden at Lund University with lots of plants, a gift shop & a cafe.

Today I went on a walk around Lund, Sweden, to discover what was intriguing. The Botanical Garden was one of the places I visited. This Botanical Garden is located in the middle of Lund and is a popular place for people to walk, exercise, and play. Despite the fact that it was winter at the time of my visit and the trees were not in bloom, it was a stunning sight to behold. Lund's architecture is reminiscent of castles and forts from the Middle Ages, when people lived and fought in castles and forts. Since this was my first vacation to Sweden, this garden provided me with such a magnificent experience. I'd want to visit in the summer. Any visitor in Lund, should visit this place.

The fact that you don’t need to pay to enter to the botanical garden makes this place even better. The park has a lot of different species and every one is tagged with the scientific name and the Swedish name! There is also cozy and nice cafe and of course a greenhouse. You can also bring your picnic blanket and enjoy the nature. I highly recommend this place and it’s definitely a must to visit place in Lund.

This garden is a wonderful place to spend a couple of hours - we read so many plant names while we did an adventure lab. This is such an idyll peaceful spot and so colourful. The dahlias really caught our eyes and we spent ages looking at the variety of sizes and colours. Supposedly students enjoy studying and relaxing here on blankets when it’s warmer.

The botanical garden in Lund was stunning in late August. Not crowded, beautiful blooms, nice walking paths, the cutest cafe beside the pond, accessible restrooms. and FREE!
