The castle's woodworking is remarkable, evident in the intricate animal carvings and parquet floors. Visitors can tour the opulent throne room and family trees that lead to meetings with the Grand Dukes and Duchesses.
Beautiful place. Really well kept castle, its clearly often renovated to keep in a perfect condition. The castle and the surrounding gardens have a really unique atmosphere, no matter the time of the year. You can almost forget that it's XXI century and feel like you went back in time.

A very beautiful castle and is worth a visit. Visitors can walk around the castle grounds for free. The castle is well maintained and so are the lawns, gardens and fountains. Expect to spend at least half a day or more as the grounds are huge.

An extremely interesting castle located on the island. The number of towers is simply amazing, they look light and harmoniously fit into the ensemble of the castle, the surrounding garden, sculptures and landscape design. Entrance to the castle costs 8.5 euros. Inside you will see several very interesting rooms, including the throne room. This castle is worth a visit!

Amazing place, has a big park around it. Looks gorgeous. There is a parking lot near it. You can walk around the castle in 20-30 minutes, and if you walk through the whole park it will take an hour. Tickets are around 10€ but you can actually see everything without them, they are for the museum inside. You can get to the inside garden for free through the main gate. There is free toilet inside and right outside the back door where they sell tickets. The castle is fabulous from all sides.

A stunning castle located in the German city of Schwerin. The gardens are amazing. Loved the architecture. Just magical. We took the train from Berlin and it was an easy walk from the train station to the castle. We loved walking around the castle and all the beautiful gardens that are extremely well maintained. A must see in Germany. Wonderful history.

✅It is admission free to walk around the Schloss Schwerin Burggarten and the bigger Garden, that has a fantastic view and really nice to wander.
✅Well-maintained attraction.
✅It’s better to go 9am, few people are there and you can take good photos.
✅a lot of shops nearby.
✅Family- and Kid-Friendly place 😊

Absolutely dazzling!!! I was not expecting such beautiful place, the castle is totally gorgeous and the garden leaves nothing to wish either. The town is very beautiful too and don't forget to look down to your feet, there's little metal plates with the stars of Draco constellation!

Really nice and easy day trip from Berlin or Hamburg. The castle is picturesque and the castle garten is serene. Ideal for a relaxed weekend with family and kids.
Loved it and definitely recommend it. Usually half a day is enough to see the entire town.

Second time here, the first time we were just in the gardens but this time we were inside the Castle. Beutiful place especially the Second and the third floor. There is an elevator that for us was very important. Highly recommend for those who love art and history.
Smadar Rosen — Google review
A wonderful castle to visit. The castle itself is mesmerizing and there is also a great park near it to spend your time there. You can visit the museum inside the castle for around 8 euro tickets but the surrounding area and park are free.
Saeed Babashahi — Google review
Beautiful castle right next to a lake. Plenty of places to roam around and have a picnic outside the castle grounds. There's a nice cafe also which serves drinks throughout the day.
The museum tickets can be booked directly at the counter inside the castle premises. It does feature some pretty cool artifacts and paintings. But, you can miss it though if you are in a hurry or are not a history buff.

What a treat to tour the Schwerin Castle! It was really neat to walk through the castle and learn of it's history. The woodworking in the castle is phenomenal - from the parquet floors to the intricate carvings of animals to the built-in library book cases. I loved seeing the opulent throne room and the family trees that people would walk through before they met with the Grand Dukes and Duchesses. We also enjoyed exploring the gardens.
Spring Clark — Google review
Wow, this place is amazing! Please allow a full day to see the castle and the town. The entire experience was unforgettable! The boat ride is brief and not really necessary. You can get a good view of the castle from land. Be prepared for a lot of walking. An elevator is available but gets very busy at peak times.

We came on a Saturday. It wasn't too crowded, we did not wait in line for tickets (end of april). We paid in cash. We parked a few blocks away and walked over.
The museum is in part art exhibits and, in the second part, presents the rooms of the castle as they originally were. The throne room is the last exhibit, and it is a sight to see. Many signs were also in English.
Surrounding the castle is the lake and gardens, which is beautiful and free. There are perfect photo opportunities here.
The restaurant menu only really had dessert dishes, so we found a place nearby for lunch.
Would highly recommend!!

Enjoyed the direct interaction with history. The attendants are friendly and speak English. The castle has great views overlooking the lake. Super

Schwerin Castle is one of the most beautiful castles in Germany. Its fairy-tale style really makes an impression. If you want to know more about the castle, check out the museum and learn more about its history. The admission cost 8,50 euro, it is worth the price. If you don't have time or not into a museum, then have a walk in the garden. It's beautiful there, and you can see this gorgeous castle from all different angles.
Q-We Torty — Google review
So we visited in winter and the castle was still extremely picturesque and a sight to behold even as we were driving towards it. But having seen the insides, we would say it’s not worth going in - especially after seeing the magnificent ones like Versailles
However the staff were very friendly

Two hour drive from Hamburg to see this beautiful castle was worth the time. I would highly recommend to bring along picnic lunches with you because there few places around the Castle for some scenic view while enjoying your meal. It’s was beginning of spring. season when we went, flowers were blooming, Sun is out and Visitors from all around the world is in full swing, so bring your camera with you. Enjoy 😉

Beautiful castle as well as the castle garden. Schwerin sea (lake) looks absolutely breathtaking from the castle. Museum is also very well kept. Lots of information if interested in history. We bought Audioguide at the reception. They had Christmas market inside castle too! And there is a restaurant inside castle itself to grab quick lunch.
Shruti P — Google review
A very beautiful castle. The architecture amazes with its beauty, colors, abundance of sculptures and galleries. The castle makes an indelible impression. It's a pity that I couldn't go to the museum inside the palace. I hope to come and see again. The castle is worth it.

Das ist wunderbar! The schwerin castle is unbelievable beautiful! It is so big, aesthetic, and majestic! I feel like in the Disneyland. The traffic light is so cute, it’s kinda different because near of the Schloss / Castle. We can go inside the castle for free, you can either go to the backyard of the castle and find a calm lake. enjoy the sound of ducks and birds. You can also go upstairs and go to the restaurant. You can find some merchandise or souvenirs there as a postcard, keychain, books, anything. You can also go inside and see the large field of the castle. I really love the place and recommend the place! 🥰🫶🏻

Beautiful castle, great architectures, I love looking at the unique patterns of the ceiling and doors, they make me feel honored to visit this place. By the way, I would like to send my sincere thanks to the ticket collector on the 2nd floor of the castle. It's a pity that I forgot to ask his name. He saw that I had 2 tickets in my hand while I was traveling by myself, so he guided me to return 1 ticket. Thank you for being a kind person. 3 missing stars because of the 3 dishonest people who are working there that I've met today.
Kronborg Slot, a 16th-century castle that served as the model for Elsinore in Shakespeare's Hamlet, is an impressive Renaissance structure declared a UNESCO World Heritage site. Its baroque green-copper spires crown a vast complex surrounded by moats and fortifications with Vaubanesque star bastions. Visitors can explore the inner palace's rooms adorned with tapestries and ceiling paintings, and marvel at the viewpoints it offers.
The castle is very interesting and filled with history.
I really am thankful for the amazing staff there. They are very good with speaking English and are very welcoming to everyone.
Me and my group had a tour guide and he was incredibly funny and interesting. He told us a lot of things I didn’t know about the castles history.
Mike O?Loughlin — Google review
A good museum but it felt like it could be great.
The phone-based tour seemed incomplete and didn't flow well; also three of the four "tracks" were only in Danish (perhaps it's very new?).
The live action guides were okay but also could have been more engaging with adults.
The "cafe" was disappointing.

Kronborg Castle is a treasure, transporting visitors back in time with its rich history and breathtaking architecture. Don't miss the chance to see the famous "Hamlet's Castle" where Shakespeare's iconic tragedy was set – it's truly magical. Besides the captivating history, the castle is surrounded by well-maintained gardens, providing a peaceful spot to relax and take in the panoramic views.

Nice walk. You can fully walk around the castle inside and outside the castle walls. Only to enter the castle and entrance fee is necessary.

One of the most beautiful, interesting, fascinating places I have ever visited. The rich history of the castle and the location make it a very special site, and the exhibition by Jim Lyngvild was absolutely magnificent.

Super entertaining castle for kids as well as a very intriguing museum. The story laid put by the staff for the kids to follow was very well thought out and immersive, they all really enjoyed it! It was also interesting to learn about the rich history of this UNESCO site!
Cale O'Day — Google review
The castle is worth visiting even without paying to go inside (the ticket is kinda pricey, 14€ per person). The place looks wonderful, and while resting on the beach we even sighted a wild seal and a harbour porpoise!
Around the castle there are lots of workshop and art galleries which is nice as it feels like local artists really have a way to express themselves and get the possibility to expose their work.
The little gift shop is also a bit pricey but it has funny little Hamlet-themed quirks.
Too bad they didn't write "to be or not to baby" on the baby onesie 😆

Kronborg Castle is an absolute treasure that deserves every one of its 5 stars. Steeped in history and famously known as the setting for Shakespeare's Hamlet, this castle is a must-visit destination.
Walking through the halls and chambers of Kronborg Castle feels like stepping back in time. The rich tapestry of Danish history comes alive as you explore this magnificent fortress. From the imposing battlements to the intricate details of the interior, every corner tells a story.
The connection to Shakespeare's Hamlet adds an extra layer of intrigue and fascination to the visit. It's as if you've stepped onto the stage of one of the most iconic plays in literary history.
Kronborg Castle's location at the edge of the sea adds to its allure, offering stunning views of the surrounding waters. Whether you're a history buff, a literature enthusiast, or simply looking to immerse yourself in the beauty of Danish architecture, this castle has it all.
Kronborg Castle is a historical and cultural marvel that should be on everyone's bucket list. It's a place where the past comes alive, and every moment feels like a journey through time.

There are plenty of things to do and see at the castle, if you are with private tour then you will get more time to explore. View from the top of tower is magnificent, steps aren’t that tough. Each room explains its history. Exploring the case mates below the ground was fun. Some areas are totally dark. I loved the countryside drive. Its worth to visit👍

Great castle. Before visiting it, didn’t even know, that hamlet was happening exactly in this castle. Distinctive place with quite a few interactive exposions, like the bed you can lay on and etc. worth visiting

Beautiful place, absolutely recommended. The castle is really well preserved, the whole surrounding area kept in excellent condition gives the place the right lift. It's nice to visit these places without excessive crowds, immersing yourself a little in the "part". In the facing area you can organize a nice picnic or visit Helsingborg, a characteristic town is pleasant. A word of advice, Go into the alleys the urban architecture is a fantastic surprise.

Fun castle to visit. Courtyard has lots of activities, like stilt walking and how medieval workmen used pulley systems to lift stones. Jesters, and Courtisan actors around the castle to provide interactive fun.
Castle rooms interesting with lots of well written information. And encouraged to sit / touch / play act in parts... even a Hamlet set.

Huge beautiful castle with huge gardens, cannal and tunnels. Worth getting here if you are in Denmark and even if you come to Copenhagen. There is also nice view to the see and the Swedish town.

This is the famous castle mentioned in Shakespeare's Hamlet, Kronborg. It's only an hour train ride north from Copenhagen. If you have purchased the Copenhagen city pass, your castle entrance is FREE. The souvenir shop inside the castle has a lot of stuff on Shakespeare.
Come visit just to see the history, the beautiful scenery and ocean view.
If you have the time, the ferry is a short distance from the castle and a 20-minute ride to Sweden. The Swedish people are NICE and friendly!!!!!

Thoughtful, fun cultural spot to visit. Well-curated exhibits, easily navigable areas that respect the architecture while delivering a modern experience of real history. Nearby to a food hall, with two coffee shops. Highly recommend!
Candace Stump — Google review
The castle is spacious and pretty. When we visited, there was an exhibition Magical Ceilings highlighting their beauty. However, some rooms only have natural light and, therefore, some rooms were too dark to see the furniture and paintings well.

Wonderful Renaissance castle beside the harbor of Helsignør. The staff were very, very helpful, especially the two men dressed as a courtier and a jester.
Patrick O'Brian — Google review
This is a castle and stronghold. It is also famous world over as the setting of Shakespeare's Hamlet. The castle is open to visitors including the royal chambers, the ballroom, the chapel and various other sections. The staff provides a quick introduction after which one is free to explore the castle on their own. There was a lot to learn about the Danish history and specially about Kind Frederick II and his queen who was quite astute with managing the finances after the King. The castle is walking distance away from the Helsingör central station which is also where the ferry from Sweden disembarks. There are washrooms available in the castle premises.
The Wanderbee — Google review
One of the most important sights in Denmark that you must not miss. The museum in the castle takes you far back in the Danish history. Just opposite the castle there is a new Library which is also worth visiting. Helsingør itself is also a nice town worth seeing.
The Little Mermaid statue is one of the most iconic and recognizable statues in Copenhagen, Denmark. The statue, created by Danish artist Edvard Eriksen, is of a character from H.C. Andersen's fairytale.
Went to see the mermaid because it is a must when visiting the city.
Some people say it is not worth visiting because of how small it is, and because it’s only a statue.
However, I think it is worth visiting, although the statue is just what you can see in the picture, the place where it is is very beautiful, you do need to walk 15-20 minutes, but with such gorgeous views it isn’t a problem.
Karol Giraldo — Google review
Location is just Cool and pleasant to take walk with loved ones. Statue isn’t big but the history behind it is captivating. Industries and wind mills behind the statue will increase the beauty even more attractive.
Easily can spend 1 to 2 hours just enjoying the climate.
Rakesh J — Google review
The little mermaid is one of the iconic sites of Copenhagen. The mermaid is located on the Kastellet (the citadel) area of the city, which is Europe's oldest in use barracks.
The area provides ample opportunities to take photos and I highly recommend walking the grounds to get the best perspectives.
The mermaid itself can get very busy with tourists, however there are plenty of angles to capture shots whilst avoiding photo bombers.
Greg “Wigan Wanderers” Knight — Google review
The most notable landmark of the city. It is situated in a nice park next to the sea so we had such a nice walk to reach it that day. I was not surprised by the size but quite the opposite I thought it was going to be super small while it is like human size. It was crowded but still easily approachable. I was also surprised that tourists can reach and touch the statue itself.
Predrag Maletic — Google review
I came here because 'you have to' and after traveling to multiple countries, I guess I'm used to see landmarks that are not spectacular per se. The story behind the mermaid was what initially attracted me. The statue is very simple and even discrete, at night there's not even a light to highlighted it. The area around is gorgeous and it makes the visit worth it.

I visited little mermaid in Copenhagen on 28.10.2022 and it really a refreshing relaxing and memorable experience. It is a very peaceful ambiance and park close to this place is a must to visit place. It is 10-15 mon walk from the nearest station. You will get very peaceful environment to stay there.. Highly Recommend Place to Visit in Denmark…

It's a nice walk up to the mermaid. The fountain before the mermaid is more stunning, just at the foot of the fortress. The mermaid is traditional to visit. But could be slightly disappointing.

Come early if you want a picture on your own, but this is on all the tours and near the hop on hop off bus stop. There are several statues and places to visit near here, including the Genetically modified Paradise and GM Little Mermaid. You could see the copy in the Reception of the Scandic Copenhagen hotel
Nigel Pawson — Google review
It’s a very unique place and lot of tourists reach this place to see the beauty of this statue. More children are exited to visit. To have a visit we can take the public transport, can walk or can have a ride in a boat with all the information guides. I went by walking and I recommend to walk from the center so you can find everyplace while you reaching this destination. It was a small statue. Near you can find some ice cream tracks and some other food tracks also. If you have time can visit to this place or you can skip also while you planning your travels. There are some many people so if we need to take a picture with the mermaid we need to wait little longer. It’s free. No need of a ticket

To see the Little Mermaid is surely a must if one is in Copenhagen. We took a stroll down the Park to the seafront ,it was crowded with visitors taking her picture. Indeed she is really little, sitting there waiting to meet her Prince! Happy that i got to see her !
susan chow — Google review
I found the statue to be quite charming and the area to be lovely for walking. The statue isn't huge, but the draw isn't the size but instead the story. Work with angles and camera zoom and some nice shots can be taken, too. I'd recommend a visit and also encourage others to explore the area around the statue.
Aaron Phillips — Google review
Based on the 1837 fairy tale of the same name by Danish author Hans Christian Andersen, the small and unimposing statue is a Copenhagen icon and has been a major tourist attraction since its unveiling in 1913. In recent decades it has become a popular target for defacement by vandals and political activists.
Mermaid is among iconic statues that symbolize cities.
You can sit on bench and enjoy the view.
Gegham Sargisyan | ROOT — Google review
It's a beautiful statue based on H.C Andersen's fairy tale, The Little Mermaid.
There's more to see in the area then just the statue. I recommend walking around. You never know what is around in Denmark.
A'lan Luce — Google review
It's worth the visit, even with everyone else flocking there. But it's one of those things you have to see as it's the city's icon and should also be remembered to celebrate the works of Hans Christian Andersen.
Bruno Henriques — Google review
Not much to look at, except a little statue sitting atop a rock, in some water. But I hear its a must visit landmark when in Copenhagen, so I guess it means a lot to a lot of people.
Expect large crowds at most times of the day, tons of people fighting for the perfect selfie spot for the memories. Not much else, I have to say. And, oh, mind the rocks when finding your selfie spot.
Wonder Mahembe — Google review
It is a lovely statue but oh my, so so many people taking pictures! I couldn't get close to it at all to see the Little Mermaid properly. The rocks are slippery when wet and I saw quite a few people slip. If you have time in the city, go a little later on or early, to avoid crowds.
Finailla Hackwood — Google review
It's a beautiful sculpture. Easy access by bike. There is no entry fee. it's free to visit. Even though the place was crowded, taking pictures was not so hard. This place is surrounded by water and has an amazing view. And it's very close from Marble Church.
Rupa M — Google review
An iconic and beautiful sculpture. Yes, the area is overloaded with tourists, but the walk out to the area is great, and goes through a large park. You can also walk through the old fort on the way. The statue will be appreciated the most by people who enjoy art.

A beautiful place.
Good for a walk on a sunny summer evening.
If there is a lack of signs on the many sculptures, Google will help you to tell the story.

Well worth the walk especially since the excellent Kastellet is right next to it. The mermaid is right by the shoreline, so easy to see and photograph. Fun, free, recommended.
Chris Boardman — Google review
Some say the statue is a disappointment due to being so small. I didn't fund it a disappointment at all and think it's a must-see in Copenhagen. Interesting history of the statue and nostalgic for anyone who grew up with Hans Christian Andersen’s original story.
Jen — Google review
Beautiful, elegiac, and poignant. Take a moment and soak in the surroundings - you won’t be disappointed. Statue is a mixture of sadness, freedom, and a sense of being trapped in motion. Brilliant.
Brennan Davis — Google review
Loved the view of people crawling around the little statue to take pictures. The mainly empty parking revealed that it was extremely quiet. I cannot imagine visiting the statue in high season. It must be chaotic.
The statue itself is lovely, but since the city is full of - in my opinion - more impressive statues, I would always choose to avoid it in high season.
The surroundings on the other hand is making strolling around definetely worth it. We sat down by the waterfront and watched boats, swans and blossoming trees.

This is a wonderful statue and very popular. There are areas to walk or cycle and the tour buses stop here.

A tourist attraction of Copenhagen. It's in a park and you can have a good view of the sea. There's a field of windmills on the opposite side. You can get a hot drink (e.g. coffee, tea, chocolate) from the coffee car that park next to the status.

Copenhagen landmark with an interesting history. We went early to avoid the worst of the crowds and combined the visit with a lovely walk around the area. There is a large park, an old fort and a long seafront to explore.
The Copenhagen Opera House is a beautiful, futuristic building with a 1400-seat main auditorium that is popular for performances of opera and theatre. The building has an impressive stage that can accommodate up to 1,400 people and features excellent acoustics. In addition to opera and theatre performances, the Opera Houses Restaurant Kost&Mask (situated on the 14th floor) offers fantastic food with a healthy focus on both vitality and taste.
Wonderful Opera House: the building is amazing outside and inside, with comfortable seats and acoustics. You have a subtitle panel at the top of the stage and tablets available for the English version. The staff were very kind and the experience is recommendable. Price/quality tickets are good depending on the show type.

One of the modern opera houses in Europe and probably the world. The architectural design is really smart and it is executed really well. You get a perfect view from inside towards Amalienborg castle and the Marble church. Breathtaking view during the night and day. It was very clean. The staff was friendly and kind.

What a beautiful modern opera house. If you're coming from the right angle, take the chance for a spectacular approach on the ferry and then enjoy the reverberating acoustics. Was delighted to find surtitles were in English as well as Danish, and sitting central on the orchestra level allowed for spectacular sound from both stage and orchestra pit, with beautifully constructed stage design.

Amazing experience attending la Traviata. Performers were incredible and the orchestra was absolutely stunning. The building itself is also very beautiful with huge windows and an amazing view of the water. Seats were comfortable, maybe a bit too comfortable. There is also a ferry stop (operaen) quite close and apparently the ferry is free to ride.

We went to the opera tour this morning and it was amazing! The building itself it's super cool, but the guide was even cooler (I don't know his name☹️). Turns out the tour was in Danish and we didn't know it, but he kept translating all he said into English, which was great. We're very thankful that he was our guide!!! He was super funny😁

What a magnificent building. It’s beautiful and functional, simple and elegant. We were able to tour the backstage and were lucky enough to get great seats for a live performance as well.

Impressive building from outside.
Windows are beautiful.
The space has a very good energy.
I am happy that I had the opportunity to go there and watch an opera.
The concert hall looks like a big pumpkin in the inside. If you put couple of dots on it, Yayoi Kusama might ask for usage rights.
I was expecting better installation from Olafur Eliasson.
The chairs are small and not very comfortable.
The sound system was really good.
There is no subtitle in English.

Stunningly situated on the waterfront, the Copenhagen Opera House offers a breathtaking backdrop for both locals and tourists alike. Its sleek, modern design seamlessly blends with the surrounding historic charm, creating a striking visual contrast. The vibrant cultural scene of this iconic venue makes it a vibrant hub for music and performing arts enthusiasts.

Beautiful building, wonderful experience to spend time here. I saw the opera The Magic Flute by Mozart. The show was in Danish and I appreciated the English subtitles. Thanks to the modern processing and singing performances, I recommend visiting.

The Oresund Bridge is a huge bridge that links Sweden and Denmark across the Sound. It's a long combined railway and road bridge that spans 8 kilometers to the man-made island of Peberholm, before turning into a tunnel to cross to Copenhagen.
Passed under the Øresund Bridge... Good to watch bridge architecture from sea... Railway track built beautifully below the road... Great experience👍

A very good and useful thing for Sweden and Denmark. You can get from Malmo to Copenhagen by train in 40 minutes. You can see the sea and windmills when crossing the bridge.

What else to say than that the Øresund-bridge is the best way to get to Sweden? Smooth and majestic ride across the strait, never experienced any delaying traffic or similar.
This Christmas, when storm Pia was visiting the region, the bridge was closed for a few hours, but my feeling is it is rather flexible when it comes to opening in different weather conditions.

Super simple and easy to cross it,you just have to download the bridge app and you will cross it without any problem, and cheaper too.

A masterpiece of engineering and its wonderful appearance is a real experience to drive on it!
The Öresund Bridge or Øresund Bridge (Danish Øresundsbroen, Swedish Öresundsbron) is a combined road-rail bridge over the Øresund Strait. The bridge connects the capital of Denmark, Copenhagen, with Malmö in Sweden, and more broadly, Scandinavia with Central and Western Europe.
The European highway E20 passes through the bridge. Passenger and freight transport takes place on its double-track railway track. With a length of 7,845 meters, the bridge is the longest road-railway bridge in Europe. The bridge itself accounts for about half of the distance between the two coasts, the rest is bridged by the artificial island called Peberholm (4055 m), the tunnel leading from there to the Danish side (4050 m) and the artificial peninsula established on the Danish side (430 m). The bridge was handed over on July 1, 2000 by II. Queen Margaret of Denmark and XVI. King Gustav Károly of Sweden.

I had my flight from Gothenburg to Koppenhagen, but a friend of mine suggested I take the train and experience the Øresund Bridge.
Also escape the nonsense of going hours early to airport and paying exorbitant rates for taxi.
Did take the train. Unfortunately it got delayed and I was disappointed.
But my disappointment was balanced by the ride over Øresund Bridge.
A mini Golden Gate, except that in this case it connects 2 countries Sweden and Denmark.
Truly an inspiring experience with all the respect to the engineers who designed and built it.
Sharing some pics for others to appreciate it. But nothing like experiencing it.

The Øresund Bridge in Malmo is nothing short of an engineering marvel and an iconic symbol of connectivity and innovation. Spanning across the beautiful waters of the Øresund Strait, this bridge is a testament to human ingenuity and architectural prowess.
One of the most striking aspects of the Øresund Bridge is its stunning design. The elegant, sweeping curves and sleek lines of the structure create a sense of grace and beauty that perfectly complements the surrounding natural landscape.
But beyond its aesthetic appeal, the Øresund Bridge serves a crucial purpose, connecting Sweden and Denmark in an efficient and convenient way. It has not only made travel between these two countries more accessible but has also fostered economic and cultural ties, making it a symbol of unity and cooperation.
Whether you're driving across the bridge, taking a train, or simply admiring it from a distance, the Øresund Bridge is an awe-inspiring sight that leaves a lasting impression. It's a remarkable testament to human achievement and a must-visit landmark for anyone traveling to the region.

What a stunning bridge. If you go from Sweden to Denmark you have to cross the bridge. Plan that there is a fee in the bridge. You can buy combo tickets if you also take a ferry to Germany or elsewhere back. Also buy an online pass or just go there and pay at a service station and get the Maut right there. It’s 55€ so far. You can not walk or bike over the bridge. But the view is stunning crossing it from both sides. Worth going to Sweden by car.

OZEANEUM Stralsund GmbH is a modern marine museum located in Stralsund, focusing on the Baltic and North Seas. It was voted European Museum of the Year in 2010 and attracts over half a million visitors annually. The interactive exhibition offers educational experiences suitable for children, featuring display boards, models, and live fish in various aquariums. The aquarium also provides scenic views of the Old Town and St. Nicholas Church from its location on the harbor.
A large and very spacious beautiful building located nicely by the waterfront.
The place shows the beautiful world under water with both live and stuffed animals and how we explore the sea. It is certainly educational visit for both adults and children.

Have to say this happens to be one of the best aquariums I have been to in Germany. The focus is really on seas, the Balkan and the north sea. The exhibits are really nice. The staff were welcoming and nice. My son really enjoyed his time there. They have a little playground where parents can take a breather.
We travelled from Berlin, you could take the RE3 to Stralsund or an ICE and then take Line 6 to the Ozeaneum from the bus station just in front of the intercity hotel.

Visited on a weekday, so wasn't much crowded, as such bought entry tickets (bit costly at €17) at the counter using 💳. Then inside the museum, saw models, preserved exhibits of sea life and experienced live fish 🐠🐟 🐡and marine life 🦐🦀🐙swimming in small to big aquariums- from Baltic sea & Nord sea. Labels on exhibits are in both English and German but most descriptions are in German only. Can spend about 3 hours inside. Don't miss the small Penguins 🐧🐧 outside near the kids play area. Finally, lay down and relax to view life size models of whales, while documentary audio plays in German. At the end, can watch videos on Green Peace org. in a mini theater 📽️ and optionally donate 💵 for the cause at exit. Overall good experience for kids and adults ✅
Note: no food counters inside, so better to carry some water and snacks.

The Ocean museum is one of a kind. Must visit during your Stralsund visit. It has all the information about ocean life in German as well as in English. The aquarium is great and has lots of variety of sea life . The jelly fish, Star fish and penguins are the main attraction. It has a small cinema hall which shows small documentaries in English and German alternatively. For an adult ticket price is 17 euro for kids 12 euro.

The visit in Ozeaneum was really worthy. You can see there a lot of different tanks with fishes, crustaceans and other animals that live in different parts of North, Wadden and Baltic sea, but if you want to see colorful fishes from coral reefs this is not the place for you. There is also a big exhibition about the animals, expeditions and sea pollution. Not all of the descriptions were translated in English. Also a movie and the final presentation, which you watch on deckchairs are only in German. At the exit there are Greenpeace activists. Ozeaneum mission is to expand avarness about the sea pollution, so if you would like to learn more about that you should definitely go there. The cherry on top of the cake were the humboldt penguins that were on top... on the terrace :) definitely don't miss them. The parking there is paid, but we found free of charge places about 1 km from Ozeaneum.

The Memorial and Museum Sachsenhausen is a powerful site that serves as a reminder of the atrocities committed during the Nazi regime. Visitors can explore the camp at their own pace, with guided tours available for deeper insight. The museum houses numerous artifacts, descriptions, and first-hand accounts that shed light on the horrors that took place there. Audio guides are recommended for a more comprehensive experience. While some parts of the camp have deteriorated over time, the sheer scale of the site is awe-inspiring.
The most haunting place I have ever been to. Some of the most horrifying things humans have ever done to each other happened on this site and other places like it. Nazism and the far right must be defeated again now as much as ever. NEVER AGAIN! Please visit this place to gain a small insight into the horrors of what hatred, right wing politics and division leads to.

Probably could have picked a better day, but the sheer scale and size is simply breathtaking… can be a bit icy and slippery in winter, but highly recommend the audio tour so you can understand the various buildings (some demolished), as well as gain some perspective on the lives of those who were interned here. Many, many artefacts, descriptions and first hand accounts which leave you asking time and time again how this could happen. Highly recommend the audio guides which give much more insight than just reading as you go, with options to delve deeper into areas that you want to hear more about. Not a place for young children or anyone in a rush.

laughing and running in the barak. And the teachers didn't react or corrected them. Without this annoying behaviour, a must see for every person, to never forget.
Gert van der Beek — Google review
Only 4 barracks are still standing and possible to visit. The rest of the terrain is empty, you can see where the rest of the barracks were before, but that's it. However the standing barracks are worth the visit, despite only 3 of them having their content (sleeping bunks, toilets, cells) more preserved.

This is a place that requires a great deal of respect.
The ambience in winter shows you a piece of the re reality that prisioners lived while captured.
It is recommended to go on week days.
The audio guide at the time of this review was priced at €3.50.
The entrance is free
I dint believe that a guided tour is needed but you will needed at least 6+ hours of your day:
2 hours to go from the center of Berlin to the concentration camp
2 to 3 hours to explore the concentration capm (please note the amount of information you can read and acquire while visiting is immense, therefore if you are a history need this is for you)
2 hours returning.
Please note if planning to visit while on winter, daylight hours are quite a treasure. Sundown is arround 16:30 while on winter.
Remebe to show your respect and keep conversation on a low while at the camp.

An important place to visit. I visited here back in 1999 & since then many exhibits have been added to tell the story. Visiting these places helps us to grasp the truth of what happened. Nazi Germany is a lesson for us all.
The Reichstag building, housing the German parliament, is a iconic landmark in Berlin and one of the most instagrammable places in the city. Completed in 1894 after a fire destroyed the previous structure, today it is an important symbol of unity and democracy in Germany. With 360° views of the city below, its hard not to snap a picture while visiting!
Guided tour of Bundestag is a must do thing in Berlin. The guide was very knowledgeable and he told us about the entire history of Bundestag and Germany's parliamentary system. We were showed the marks left by soviet soldiers on the walls and the bulletmarks. He explained how the German parliament functions. We were lucky to see Reichstag dome, as it is not always accessible. We were given audio guide for the dome. We got some of the most beautiful views of the city from Dome!

Marvel at the architecture of the Glass dome on top of Berlin Parliamentary building, and enjoy a spectacular view of Berlin city from its viewing platform.
Its free to visit, and there is a security check before you are whisked by lift to the terrace and given a audio guide.
The audio guide points out Buildings of note around Berlin city as you walk up the ramp spiral to the viewing platform. Architecture details of the dome and parliamentary details are given as you walk down the ramp.

Rooftop and dome well worth a visit. Booking ahead required (it’s free). Excellent views of central Berlin in all directions. Nice if general historical summary of the building and its role in German public life available in the dome too.

The building was destroyed during WWII and rebuilt. The visit is free but has to be booked in advance, you will receive a letter and that letter has to be brought at the appointment. You can only visit at the given timeslot and a legal ID has to be presented. It is better to show up at least 15minutes in advance because you have to go through the security to get in. Once in, you can visit the roof terrace and glass dome and also the visitor sitting area of the parliament. About 2 hours is enough here.

When you have free entry to this beautiful place then why not but free entry available to the Dome by online reservation, or in person with your passport or other documents. An audio guide is included so do remember to pick it up upon arrival to the Dome.
Enjoy the spectacular landscape views from the dome. Audio guide, which played automatically, gave you brief introduction to major buildings nearby. I enjoyed 360 view from the dome. It’s like amazing bird eye view of Berlin city.
Better arrive early before your reserved timeslot because of queue for security check and entrance. Much worth to visit if you planing to visit Berlin.

Great guided tour hosted by Eberhardt - his ability and knowledge was fantastic and his humor warm and friendly. This is my third visit and every time has been different compared to previous tours. Will be visiting again soon to lean more about the architecture, history and the parliament 👍

Absolutely fascinating building a must visit when u r in Berlin. I tried to visit during summer but unfortunately all the slots were booked so I only saw it from outside. So if u r planning to visit during summer time make sure to book your visit time in advance by 7 Weeks during the touristic peak season or 3 weeks at least during summer.
I visited again in winter and was lucky to find a slot only three days in advance. The entry is free of charge however booking online and registering the guests information is a must before visit. Make sure to have your confirmation email and ID/ Passport with you. Walking in is NOT possible. You learn all the history of the building, and general information about the German political parties and history. You can pick up an audio guide also free of charge. While climbing the dome ramp you can have a good view of the city and see a lot of important spots in the city like the TV tower, the victory Column, Berlin Cathedral etc etc. It was raining and the city was very grey during my visit but still I did enjoy the view so I can only imagine it will be even better during summer.
The security check was quiet fast and super friendly and helpful it only took ten minutes waiting overall going through all the lines / security check. Very well organized.
The entire tour takes around an hour and by the end of the tour you can enjoy coffee / drink at the cafe at exist. The cafe has a sitting area indoors and outdoors area has an absolutely amazing view of the spree river.

The Reichstag building is a must-see for anyone visiting Berlin. It's a symbol of democracy and renewal, and it's home to the German parliament.
The building was originally built in 1894, but it was severely damaged during World War II. It was rebuilt in the 1960s, and it was reopened in 1999.
The Reichstag building is a beautiful example of architecture. It's a glass and steel structure with a dome that can be seen from all over Berlin. The interior of the building is also very impressive. There are a number of historical exhibits, and there's a walkway that leads to the top of the dome, where you can get panoramic views of the city.
I highly recommend visiting the Reichstag building if you're ever in Berlin. It's a fascinating piece of history, and it's a symbol of hope and democracy.
Pros:
Historical significance
Beautiful architecture
Panoramic views
Free admission
Cons:
Can be crowded, especially during peak tourist season
Long security lines
Overall:
The Reichstag building is a must-see for anyone visiting Berlin. It's a symbol of democracy and renewal, and it's a beautiful example of architecture. I highly recommend visiting if you're ever in the city.
Here are some tips for visiting the Reichstag building:
Book your tickets in advance. This will help you avoid long lines at the security checkpoint.
Arrive early. The Reichstag building is open from 8:00am to 10:00pm, but the lines can get long, especially in the afternoon.
Wear comfortable shoes. There are a lot of stairs to climb, especially if you want to go to the top of the dome.
Bring your ID. You'll need to show your ID to get into the building.
I hope you enjoy your visit to the Reichstag building

Wonderful building representing the strength and ideas of the German people. Not as majestic as it used to be, due to the war, but still very impressive. It is worth a visit, especially due to the fact that you can get inside the dome for free, you just need an early reservation.

Really cool building and you get to learn a ton about German history there. The audio guides are really well done and start automatically when you step onto the ramp. As you walk around and around as you ascend, the audioguide then continues to say more about the various things that are available to view.

The building looks majestic, and German and EU flags fluttering in the wind add to its splendour. The downside is, to get inside you need to book the ticket a month in advance, and there is no way to get last-minute drop-in tour.

The tickets online make no sense. Buy tickets in person ,and you cand find much more than you see online !
Really good experience inside except for the teen groups who made a lot of noise .

The reichstag was an incredible experience. The audio guide was very informative and the views were great from the top of the dome and the roof of the building.

Definitely worth a trip to the dome if you're able to get tickets. I submitted a request a few weeks before visiting (but never heard back), but was able to go to the physical ticketing centre across the road and get a ticket for two days later. If, like me, you're unable to get a ticket via the registration form online, I would recommend visiting the ticketing centre early in your visit, to hopefully be able to get a ticket for later.
The security measures are not too tedious to go through and the views from the dome and phenomenal. The audioguide is also quite informative (especially for non-Germans) and is worth getting.

It’s totally free, but you must make a reservation either at the gate by providing your ID or online, I did it at the gate and reserved for next day.Place you must visit when you’re in Berlin. I think if you can visit it on the first day as a tourist it will help you to understand about German Cold War and things about the wall. And specially with the panoramic view you can see some historical monuments and museums that you must pay a visit during your stay. There is no luggage lockers you must carry them with you

Must visit place! I recommend to go here before visiting something else in Berlin, since the audioguide tells you about many different buildings of the city, along with interesting curiosities and things to do. Moreover, the view is stunning especially during sunset and it is completely free. I strongly recommend to book it quite in advance.

Tickets go live on the first day of the month, so you need to get in early in order to book in advance and secure a ticket!
It was great to visit the Reichstag building - tickets are free (but booking absolutely essential). You also need to have your passport in order to enter the building, and go through body & bag scanners.
We were taken up in the lift, and then left - so there was no guide, and no one to show us where to go. Worth picking up an audio guide at the top of the lift, they are free (although mine wasn’t working unfortunately, and I couldn’t be bothered to go and swap it).
Beautiful building and great to walk up the glass dome and read/see the photos about the history of the Reichstag building and it’s reconstruction after the war.

The Reichstag is the seat of the federal parliament of Germany. It is an handsome building with an interesting history. To learn about the building's history, you can get tickets to walk around the dome on the building's roof. An elevator takes you to the dome, and on the main floor of the dome is a "mini museum" with lots of captioned pictures that tell the story of the building's past. After getting educated about the building, you can walk up the circular ramp to the dome's top. From there you can take in great views of the city.
The entire dome experience takes about an hour. Visitors must buy tickets in advance and go through security before entering the building.

This is the German parliament. They offer free tickets by booking at least 24 hours in advance and free audio guides within the same.
A good place to learn a little about the history of parliament, German politics and especially the city from the dome. The audio guide explains the main monuments around the parliament and, thanks to the glass, you get the opportunity to have a panoramic view of the city.
We requested tickets to the dome and we really liked the experience. Highly recommended.

A great tour that you can do for free offering and teaching tourists about the history of Berlin and Germany. This is a great activity for tourists and it’s also a great way to see the city from above. The tickets can be bought online for no charge and the experience involves seeing inside the building, as well as the roof terrace and the dome above. The dome above offers some great architecture and sights of the city, seeing some incredible views. The tour also offers information in all different languages so you can read and listen to more about the history of the building. Highly recommended if you’re in Berlin and it’s an experience you don’t want to miss out on.

We booked in advance though slots only open a month or two ahead. Easy to book and skipped us through easily, though it was out of season. Free to go in and visit the roof, but well worth it. An enoyable 5 minutes, but you could stay longer plus there are guided tour options. Really slick.

Great place to visit near Berlin Gate. You have to book your ticket online beforehand to roam inside the building. You need to show either valid IDs or travel document to get entry for the tour inside. It’s worthy to take the tour. It is a historic government building on Platz der Republik in Berlin that has been the seat of the German Bundestag since 1999. Since 1994, the Federal Convention has also met here to elect the Federal President.
Brandenburg Gate is a Romanesque-style landmark in Berlin, Germany, constructed between 1788 and 1791. It is one of the most famous tourist destinations in Berlin and has been featured in many films and TV shows. The gate is topped by a classical goddess statue.
Iconic gate to photograph. Come for pictures and enjoy the specular art. It's not too far and a nice walk from other nearby attractions. There were also people blowing bubbles in the air to help you make your photos look beautiful.

Brandenburg Tor in Berlin is an unforgettable symbol of unity and history. Its majestic neoclassical architecture and iconic presence captivated me. Located in Pariser Platz, it's a lively hub for exploring the city. The gate's historical significance, witnessing both division and reunification, adds to its allure. Don't miss this must-visit landmark, conveniently close to other attractions. Visit early morning or evening for a less crowded experience. Brandenburg Tor left me with a deeper appreciation for Berlin's rich past and its spirit of unity. Highly recommended!

The history is powerful and deep surrounding this iconic gate. Berlin: the story of a city is a great read for preparing to go and see the city of historic power. The square near the gate holds the American embassy, a star bucks, and a bunch of pickpockets, hustlers, and street performers working for a euro. The iconic buildings in the area have value in learning about prior to arrival too.

Brandenburg Place: Icon of Political Vibrancy in Berlin
Brandenburg Place epitomizes Berlin's political pulse, hosting historic events and vibrant demonstrations. Flanked by iconic landmarks like the Reichstag, it's a symbol of democracy and activism. Amidst its grandeur, echoes of political discourse resound, making it a must-visit for those intrigued by Berlin's dynamic history.
The memorial is located in Berlin, Germany, and is dedicated to the thousands of Jewish victims of the Nazi genocide. The blocks of concrete are arranged in a mazelike fashion and are said to represent the unending cycle of violence inflicted on the Jews. The information office below the memorial holds records, letters, diaries, and photographs from Holocaust victims.
This is definitely one of the top things to see in Berlin. It is very walkable from the Brandenburg Gate. It is simple, yet moving. We suggest reading a description about it when you are there or in advance to understand the artist's intentions. You can walk through it. The wavy walkways and tall and short blocks make it very interesting. We spent about 10-15 minutes here.

It’s hard to give a rating for a memorial like this. It has so much meaning to different people who have and will visit it. it’s very difficult to interpret the meaning of a rating and what it could imply a to something like this.
Personally I found it quite a moving experience walking through the blocks and reading some of the information about various individuals.
Walking between the blocks I felt strength, a unity of purpose and a statement that those who have been and will be persecuted have a voice, maybe not their own but none the less persecution can’t be hidden.
Neil Taylor — Google review
It’s such an impressive place to visit, walking through the memorial you feel a strong energy, I was so lucky to find quite, not busy spots as many tour groups are usually walking around, but I was able to keep myself away from them and get good pics without people. If you visit Berlin this is a place you can not miss. And do not miss the museum/exhibition in the lower level. It is sad, but full of information of things you may didn’t know about things that happened during that time!!! Respectfully well done !!

What an amazing place. We certainly did not expect that.
It is located between the mall of Berlin and the Brandenburg gate.

Kids loved it there since they can play hide and seek. Different from other attractions in Berlin that could be boring for kids.

What can I say. Breath taking, awe inspiring, thought provoking. It's just absolutely amazing to see how it's laid out and it really makes you see. If you get chance to have a guided walking tour, they will give you an insight on why it was built. All blocks are different and as you look across you can't see over the last one, this represents the neverending amount of Jews killed. Absolutely amazing to be there

Fantastic and moving free museum. No need to get the audio guide, as there was an abundance of text and information to read. Very informative, and does not shy away from any topics which is appreciated in a museum with a topic such as this one.
My only issue was we had to wait outside in the sun for around 15 minutes before being let in, but it was very worth it. It also got very crowded in the beginning section, which is a narrow hallway. It was difficult to move ahead as you are at the whim of the people in front of you. I would recommend going at a less busy time.
Overall not a perfect experience but very much a worthwhile and important one.

It feels wrong when the rating says "loved it", because obviously it's not something to love, but the place was so worth the visit. The museum was heartbreaking and difficult to go through, but the staff was lovely and making sure to follow the covid guidelines to keep their guests safe.
My one wish is that they should put clear signs that what you can listen to on the phones are stories from survivors. I thought it would be audio of the information of the room since there was a lot of text in that room, but my sister decided to listen and told me what it was, so I could listen too, and those stories were the most heartbreaking and powerful ones there. Please put up some clearer signs so more people get to experience those stories. They're important.

The Holocaust Memorial was created in 1999 to remember the Jews that were murdered enmass in Germany. It's a place of contemplation, a place of remembrance and warning. It's close to the Brandenburg Gate in the heart of Berlin. Was here with Family and we all had a moment of reflection.

A great way to physically show the next generations the importance of history and why we should always learn from it. Situated actoss from the American embassy with blocks representing age of victims and the design intentionally disorientating once inside it in order to convey the fear experienced by the Jewish community it is dedicated to.

Very moving space. Very different once you are inside than from driving by. There is an underground space we did not visit.
Do not use a drone in the field. Do not stand on the blocks. Respect this space.

Somber and intense and, occasionally, hopeful. Depends how you look at it. I found it extremely moving and was not prepared for how much it affected me. Strange contrast between an inward meditation on the atrocities humans afflict on each other and twenty-somethings playing hide and seek amongst the tombs.

A wonderful memorial and museum that is like nothing I have ever seen.
Every stone is different and wandering along the rows not only captivates you but also disorientates you too. The museum is free for visitors and very interesting.

Difficult to review this place, given the horrors that led to its very existence. It feels like an art installation, and despite signage pointing out the rules for visiting, there were still brainless morons who thought climbing on the memorial or running around playing hide and seek was acceptable.
It's an impersonal monument. In spite of the considerable cost involved in creating it, it still feels like it's the absolute bare minimum to mark one of the worst events of the 20th Century. Please visit with mindfulness and respect.

Typography of Terror was an enlightening display of the history of WW2. It was very well presented in English and German with a very thorough audioguide in many other languages.
I couldn’t help but think how challenging it must have been for German historians to honestly retell the horrors their country and leadership inflicted on their own people and their neighbours.

Another symbol of world war 2!! It puts things into perspective when you read the history of "The Berlin Wall" 🧱 It truly was an awful time, so much cruelty. Things were done, that's dehumanizing! I often wonder 🤔 what the young people think when you see them here looking at all the History.

Topography of terror, a museum and a memorial, that provides a written information with photographs or you can take an audio guide, that tells about the horror times in our history. Around that place you can see the crushed stones. It was mentioned in the audio guide, that this kind of place should never be covered by grass with time. People should not forget it and must never let it happen again.

Beautiful and diverse paintings on a piece of history, really fun to see, very picturesque, and for free! My only issue was how touristy it was there but I suppose that's to be expected from such a notable place. What I appreciate, though, was how respectful other people were when taking pictures - they'd politely wait until you took your pictures and only then they would walk by. Very nice! Another detail I liked about the wall was that there were names of the paintings and artists written in front of the paintings.

A definite must-see when in Berlin. The descriptions of everything are in English and German. It was a bit disappointing that the Pergamon Altar was closed when we went, but we knew that in advance. It was well worth the ticket costs regardless. You could easily spend an entire day there, but we had tickets to other museums as well for the day, so we were only there for about 2.5 hours. I understand why it’s so controversial. It’s sad to know other cultures lost pieces of their history for these things to be here. However, it’s definitely worth the time and money to see such a well preserved collection of history from around the world, no matter your feelings on it. Such a cool place to learn about history of many different cultures!

It’s great museum to get insights about ancient life and culture. It contains very rich exhibitions. The museum is very beautiful inside and outside. Prepare to spend around one-two hours here. Better to buy tickets in advance as possible to meet long queues. Definitely mast see place in Berlin and inside of Museum Island. And better to visit Pergamonmuseum Panorama in the same time.

Wow! You need to go to the Panorama exhibition first which is only 10 minutes away to get the full impact of this museum. Whilst I believe artefacts should remain in their original location I have to confess that having the opportunity to see the tiles, freezes and the temple was terrific. I am in awe of the skills required by the stonemasons to produce such wonderful work. You need to book your time as they sell out very quickly and restrict numbers. Worth purchasing the Berlin Welcome card which includes museums on museum Island and transport. The Panorama Exhibition was extra.

It was amazing museum. I wish we could see the sculptures in origin locations. But the museum is good idea to protect them. My advise that you should take your ticket before the visiting day. Because you couldn’t find any ticket in same day. It takes nearly two hours.

Museum is great but the staff is not especially friendly. Some of them are really nice but you can meet really rude people as well. Collection of artefacts is amazing, especially Ishtar gate. Mandatory museum in Berlin, that’s why 5 stars. Staff max 3

A wonderful museum, not so big, but very well organized. It contains a lot of unique collectibles and antiquities, and they have a very wonderful gift shop. The special thing about this museum is that many of the important antiquities were originally stolen and they claim that these pieces were purchased from some merchants or owners, but what I cannot understand is: Who owns the Ishtar Gate!! They make millions of euros every month from possessions that do not even belong to them.

A very nice museum. However, since reducing in size, it was very crowded inside. Even though it's necessary to book a time slot, it seems that these slots are still very full, so it was a bit overwhelming with how many people were inside at one time. The islamic culture section was really beautiful, and the main halls too of course.
I can recommend it for the price and the culture for sure!

Not a bad place. Not too big but enough to see. Pictures attached.
It has very good disability access and the staff are very friendly.
You need to leave your bags in lockers and need a euro or a 2 euro coin, which is returned after you take your stuff back out.
Very bright and airy.
Great perspective with the life size exhibits.
Worth a visit but it isn't free.

If you haven't seen this museum till now, don't lose the chance to get familiar with the awesome history of great ancient human civilizations, it also can be interesting for kids or teenagers. Apparently it is gradually getting under construction section after another section, unfortunately I missed some important parts due to the reconstruction work, later on I had to check the missing parts on the original video & virtual tour of the museum.

A must visit museum in Berlin.
Museum has so much collection of historical antique items.
Ishtar gate is the main attraction and it's beautiful and huge.
Also the Roman market fascade is huge and it's well preserved in museum.
Audio guide helps in getting the information easily about all the artifacts.
Very much recommended museum in Berlin.
Sprawling tropical-themed water park with rooms & cottages, plus an indoor rainforest & a lagoon.
Amazing place if you want to charge your batteries ,especially during winter months you could feel tropical atmosphere without leaving Berlin at all. You could hire room out there and stay overnight if want. Plenty of attractions , air balloon , tropical dancers / shows and tropical food make you think that you at Bahamas :) Restaurants are great with delicious food ,and kids like it as well. No problems with parking , easy access from Berlin and local areas. This place is HUGE , you will notice it long before you reach car park. Enjoy.

Stayed for three nights and had a fantastic time with my family (wife, mother in law +3 small kids).
Will start with the low points first:
1. At check in there was only one counter working and it took us 40!! minutes to complete the process.
2. Not enough sitting chairs around the pool area - you need to go at around 7am to catch an empty chair....
As for the good stuff:
1. Amazing place
2. Many pools for the kids
3. Amazing water park for children and for adults (I enjoyed it as much as the kids have).
4. Very friendly staff.
5. Great selection of food and drinks - restaurants are located all over the place.
5. Holiday villa was very good and well equipped.
Will definitely return next year.

Absolutely perfect place. I wouldn't know what to recommend first. The easy accessibility from parking, the quick check in, the convenient wristbands, the affordable eating options, the huge variety of different pools and slides. It is a truly great place.
Why would you want the stress of travelling 6 hours on a plane abroad, hotel costs and a harsh reality of a shabby hotel that doesn't look like anything on the photos? This paradise gives you 90% of a vacation to Turkiye for a fraction of the cost.
The only minus is that we only booked a day ticket and not a weekend stay. We'll definitely return for a weekend in the end of October.
We absolutely loved it
Richard Volprich — Google review
The place is large, but poorly invested. The slides are very moderate, more exotic slides should be added. The large pools should be more interesting, such as artificial waves. Better lighting could improve the mood. An artificial sky roof and sun would be great. A river around the place would also be cool.
Raghid Shehayeb — Google review
Absolutely deplorable service from a rude, incompetent staff. The bus never leaves according to schedule, resulting in missed train back to Berlin. The management should be fired and replaced by service-oriented intelligent people who know what they’re doing, rather than those who have nothing but contempt for their customers.
The rooms are all cockroach-infested cesspools with no air circulation, for which you will pay an extortionate price of several hundred Euros.
Food is of general poor quality and taste.
Avoid this place!

Tropical Islands is more like a theme park. It is way overpriced and it is definitely more catered to children than adults. It's pretty cold when you're not in the water and there's no space in the water to actually swim. You can't relax for a moment as there are balls flying at your head and children screaming and splashing. The outdoor pool becomes way too busy during the day and the revolving doors are like a death-trap waiting to happen with kids trapping each other inside constantly. As you try to exit the pools you have to avoid children body slamming each other and stray sandals tripping you up.
The spa area is a shambles. It is relaxing to an extent but there are so many people walking around confused about spa etiquette as people are coming in with swimsuits and some without. Kids are also allowed into the spa area meaning it is yet another area for kids. I feel like this area should be adults only considering the rest of the park is dominated by the children.
There are literally no water fountains and if you want to hydrate you have to pay almost 5 euros for a bottle of water. Not providing people with water, especially in a spa area, is actually dangerous and it really sours the experience to be dehydrated. Considering how expensive the entry is, plus paying so much for food, I really think water is a basic thing you can provide guests to keep them happy and healthy.

Stayed for a night and a had a great time. Tent was comfy and enough room for the night. Plenty to do there to keep you occupied for a few days. Spa area was lovely and clean and some very nice saunas. Pools and slides are all good fun. Wish the outdoor surf pool was open but that will have to be for another time. Think it was around 30 degrees inside so it's a nice temperature, just like being somewhere tropical!

It's pretty awesome, but when there are vacations in Berlin it's too crowded.
But avoiding that time and you have plenty of space and amazing slides and wonderful plants and a nice spa experience.
Especially nice for kids (roughly 3+ y/o)

The Tropical Islands experience was the best for us. Amazing experience in middle of winter. We were swimming in a warm pools under the snow. Such a magical place especially during winter months you could feel tropical atmosphere. Sitting between the trees and observing the birds was such a pleasure. You could hire room out there and stay overnight if want. the restaurants have a large variety of foods and prices.

one star is too much. not only do you pay for the ticket, but also 6 euros for parking. the food costs as much as in a good restaurant, but it's not very good. drinks are more expensive than in a fine establishment and also poor. water slides are nothing special, slow and short. in addition, there is no tropical climate inside, just plain heavy air. one feels like in a cage. maybe children get some fun, but for adults it's all just weak. for this price it is better to buy a 4 pack of beer and sit on the balcony. I do not recommend

the last time I was in Tropical Island was 17 years ago and I was very surprised by the changes I saw there. First of all, the equipment did not look worn out at all, new swimming pools, new attractions, delicious food - we used the Thai restaurant. Plants in very good condition. To sum up the trip - I am very pleased!

Shocking level of services, takes ages to check in, around 2 hours, the tags that you pay with are on separate accounts, front office staff offer not leave of service
Processed a payment then claim that the payment was never made, made me wait an hour at front of house until they decided to call the finance team to confirm if the payment was made.
if you don’t mind rudeness and zero level of service then I would recommend this place due to the facilities.

This is the second time we have stayed here for a week each time. Absolutely love the place. It's so reasonable in terms of cost and the use of the park with accommodation absolutely makes it. I would go so far as to say it's unique in it's existence in terms of quality and price. It's not cheap once in the resort but you can mitigate that with self catering and sensible snacking. I would recommend this place to families, couples, and friends groups. Caters to all who are looking for a water park resort experience. Very easily accessible from BER airport and exceptional transport from the train station at Brand and around the resort. Quick one to note, if you arrive on time check in at the resort reception and avoid the dome. It's very slow at the dome and adds to your journey back to the cabins. Unless you're staying in the dome of course!! Highly recommended. Please like this review if it was helpful.

I was hesitant to go there after reading the reviews, but I'm glad I did. My kid and I had a great time there. We went on a Sunday (cheaper fee) evening, when it was not crowded at all. We didn't have to wait in line for any slide or the reception. The place was fairly clean (except for some cockroaches), the attractions were well designed, and the people were nice. The service was decent for North German standards. They didn't smile much, but they weren't rude either. It was easy to get there from Berlin by train, and then take the shuttle that runs every few minutes.

Good water-based fun for all ages. Also, educational and immersive in Rain forest fauna and flora. Good food. Lots of walking and steps/stairs, but there are some ramps. Make your appointment for massages and cosmetic procedures at least a week before arriving to have a chance at getting in. Awesome sauna and hot tubs for those willing to go in the nude.

Absolutely amazing place, especially for families with kids! Whatever weather is out there, you can easily get to ‘Tropics’ for a weekend. It’s so nice inside, very warm, with lots of swimming pools, slides, even animals. I recommend to stay in one of the hotel rooms there.

A really good place to hangout for a day and for people who love water it's an amazing place to spend. No fear for people who are scared of water as well as the pools are not very deep. Very nice slides not many though but the once which are there are nice and enjoyable. Overall a really good place to enjoy a day. Place could have been bit more cleaner and i would have given 5 stars.

What an amazing structure. Loved sleeping in the tent, the accommodation and the entrance were really good value.
Unfortunately the big slides were closed, the rapids were underwhelming and the food was expensive - I was super annoyed that there were no free water dispensers anywhere. Especially as we were staying over.
All in all a great experience, but maybe the water attractions need some investment (a proper lazy river / better rapids) and less of a rip off for drinking water.

Location is good, we found it easily with the car and had a parking space available.
We arrived and the line was huge, but everything went fast. I have booked it as a surprise for someone special and as well a bottle of wine, we got the keys of the room and weren’t really happy with it. We went back to the reception and it was no problem to give us a an alternative room - very friendly! The place is so good, we had dinner there at the buffet and had many options. We had really so much fun, it was everything well organised, busy, but you still could enjoy it - I hope they keep it busy this way always!
We also made use of the SPA and it was really good. I just think that kids should not be allowed there. It was strange!!!
There are many restaurants you can choose. Many stores.
Breakfast buffet was good!
We also had dinner in one of the restaurants there and it was nice and friendly.
Was such a nice time and we for sure will come back.

We wanted to celebrate my son birthday, so we bought s family ticket. Arrived to tropical island and on the entrance provided a ticket (we were 4, 2adult, 2child) and was provided with 1 bracelet, so entered all and all was good until.. when we were leaving, there is a hole where you but the bracelet to leave, and you was suppose to put 1 for each person. But we were provided only one.. when we asked what to do to s person who was in charge there he told none of my business, go to information. Tho we have spent there 20+minutes, providing original ticket, so the end of the trip was ruined and we missed the train. Not recommend. Birthday ruined.

A really big and nice water park, probably the biggest water park under the roof. Wonderfully warm inside even though it was only 15 degrees outside. A warm river outside with massage devices. The only downside is that it is a bit far from Berlin. When we visited there was a railway renovation, we had to use 2 metro lines, 2 local trains and 1 free bus, it took almost 2 hours each way, normally I heard that you can get there in one hour by one train from the main station. But despite everything, it's definitely worth visiting there👍👍👍 I'll come again if I fly through Berlin.

We stayed just 1 night. The check-in process was not great as I knew I booked a package with evening meal but he said there is nothing here. We pushed on this and eventually got it sorted out and our meal .
The park itself is brilliant and impressive with loads to do. We loved the fact there are animals and real plants there. You need 2 or 3 days to properly relax though . The prices are high for food but like everywhere now. Rooms are big and comfortable but need air conditioning as some have it and some don't.

We were there in January to stay overnight, checking to the rooms only possible at 15:00. We got there at 12:30 and there was a long line of people waiting to get in, so we had to wait for 1.45 hours to get to the counter and check in. That's a minus point.
Otherwise, the place is huge, plenty of saunas, swimming places, and relaxing chairs. Food is fine, but the whole experience was quite expensive for a night there.

This could be an OK place if they weren't so greedy. There were WAY too many people let in at a time, so there was never a sunbed available and always a line. They don't allow outside food but still charge outrageous prices for everything there. I wish i had smuggled in food. The smoking room is awful, and beer costs 5,20 for 500ml. There was a line for every single place all the time. The staff was mostly nice. The dying plants and stressed out parrots in cages really bummed me out. Avoid it. You can have way more fun elsewhere for less money.

Never ever again.
Do not waste your money in this place.
Let’s skip to the worst part:
We booked 2 nights staying in a premium family room for 6 people. No soap, no crutches -neither provided upon request. The second day it started raining into the room- literally inside..nobody cared. We tried to stop the rain front entering with the towels we had. After an hour someone just put a bin right in front of the room’s door, nothing else. We could not enter our room , neither take a shower. If we wanted further towels we should rent them. Nightmare started at 16:00 pm, going up and down to the reception begging for help. At the end, we were given the only 2 rooms available for the second night, different from the one we paid for, one double and one double plus a sofa, not even close to each other. We had to move our stuff on our own, entering the new accommodation at 21.30. So half a day completely gone. No soap as well here, to stay consistent, not provided again either upon request.
Last but not least non speaking rude staff, bad cocktails…be ready to be in queue to check in 2 hours, try to find a locker and a sunbed in an hour or more.
No compensation offered , an apology gift a voucher nothing at all, I am pretty much sure a refund should apply here but I have wasted enough time with this and just want to move forward.

Huge venue with inside and outside pools. It’s a family oriented place.
We went in February so the highlights of our weekend there were spending a night in a tent, the outside heated pool and the sauna area. You need need to buy extra ticket to enter the saunas and jacuzzi area. The ticket was 14 Euros but totally worth it. Also, you can rent a towel :)

Awesome place for kids of any age. Great pools, warm , food was nice and fresh , reasonably priced. The only negative is long queue at the check in if you are staying in the resort, we had to wait for 1,5 hour .

Fun place to escape the city for a day or two. The place was packed and felt a little bit too “public”. Clean and well preserved areas. Eating options are not bad, even though a lot of people preferred burgers and fries, you can also find nice Thai food at one of the restaurants. Overall good experience.

The place is very fun and interesting to spend a day or two. Nice ambience and the food is rather good. I was overall impressed with the variety at the buffet. It’s great too to have a chip card that puts everything in a tab and you pay when you leave. Makes it very convenient to lock up your stuff and just have fun.
The variety of activities you can do here is great, and the water slides and Amazonia was particularly nice.
Room wasn’t ready on time which was rather inconvenient. Once cleaned too the room wasn’t very clean, the previous guest left clothes behind that were still there when we eventually got the room. it’s a very basic bare bones room, very simple could be improved by a few basics like a mirror and maybe a towel rack.
Overall it’s a really neat place and was quite fun.

Great family fun for a night away from Berlin. Our kids had a great time, as did we. Staff were all wonderful, and did a great job of trying to understand my terrible German. Some speak english but not all.
Food was reasonably priced given the captive audience and less than we expected. Would have been great to have had a water fountain to refill our bottles though.
One star off as the check in took over an hour, which others have noted as an issue beforehand too.
Stary Rynek, also known as the Old Market Square, is a historic and vibrant area in Poznan. The square is home to the famous Old Town Hall where mechanical fighting goats battle each other daily at noon. Visitors can explore the Weigh House, Guardhouse, Mielzynskis and Dzialynskis palaces from the 18th century, as well as merchant houses with arcades.
One of the best museums in Torun is the Muzeum Pierników. It tells the story of gingerbread from its origins to modern-day baking techniques. There are hands-on activities for visitors to participate in, and a charming little museum setting. The museum is very popular, so reservations are recommended.
Wow, what a great experience for kids and adults. The gingerbread class workshop is such a memorable experience. Excellent performance by the friendly staff. Would recommend it to anyone having a spare hour in old town Torun. Great location. Exit through a gift shop. Well worth the ticket price.

It's not a museum, it's cooking class. I inquired before entering if samples to taste were available. I was deceptively assured, "yes".
What I wasn't informed was that I had to pay for them. And a hefty sum at that.
Recommendation: There are better things to do in Torun.

It's more of the show than museum, but that's ok. I truly enjoyed the first, medieval part. Second part wasn't so good, the place was overcrowded, and it was hard to see anything. Also, the actress didn't seem to enjoy her role. Definitely I don't regret the visit, but there's quite a lot to improve here.

It’s a show, and it’s in Polish. You get to make gingerbread, BUT you can’t eat it. I was quite disappointed. We didn’t reserve tickets early, so we had to go to the museum to get a ticket/slot. The window opens 15 minutes before the full hour (you can also buy online). The English show is actually a person translating to you on the spot through a headset device. It was okay, probably really good for kids.

Loved the gingerbread workshop! The staff at the museum are super friendly and helpful. For the gingerbread making, we arrived on time for the Polish workshop and the staff member made sure to provide us with English translations - she was so nice & funny and really made the workshop entertaining and enjoyable, and you get to keep your gingerbread of course. Very interesting, hands on experience far from stiffened lecturing. Maybe sometimes too direct but without breaking the boundaries of good taste. The interior decor and equipment carefully chosen. The form is close to a theatrical play. In two floors, one medieval manufacture and second 19 th century manufacturing. Course of gingerbread decoration, and overall immersion in the historical periods are a plus. Unfortunately it is quite “crowdy” and everyone should wear mask inside as closeness is inevitable. Great for children and parents. Sessions are bought out early before each day so make sure you buy it in advance as on the spot you may be too late. After the session you will get your self-made figurative gingerbread to place on your Christmas tree.

Spectacular. Ginger bread master and merchant were the best. They even tried to use old, medieval polish pronunciation, that was a lot of fun. Apart from that we enjoyed producing our own ginger bread (as seen in the posted picture). We were also amised by group guessing the quiz on "my friends what is the spice that I am presenting to you right now", and also the dodgy question: "what spice used during the ginger bread manufacturing is a root spice?"
This museum tells the story of Warsaw's 1944 uprising against Nazi occupation, during which some 15,000 Polish Home Army soldiers were killed and hundreds of thousands deported. The museum is extremely comprehensive, with displays on three levels covering the history of Warsaw, the uprising itself, and the aftermath.
I came here on a Monday and it was free admission. I really enjoyed the well curated exhibit that walked me through the history and impact of the uprising. I recommend getting the audio guide that allows you to hear the extra commentary about the various exhibits.
This museum is actually very impressive if you like world war II history or you want to have a better understanding of Polish people and their willingness to fight against evil during world war II. Highly recommend.

Interesting museum about the history of the Warsaw Rising. The museum explores the background and the future of the city and the rebellion. If one is not a huge history fan, the museum might get a bit boring after a few exhibits. We visited on Sunday, and the queue lasted around an hour.

This is a really awesome museum if you are interested in WWII, polish history, and military history. It is a pretty large place and took us a while to see everything. There are a lot of guns and artifacts from WWII, as well as a lot of personal items like letters and journals. Speaking polish would be nice, but there was plenty in English also, so I felt like I got a lot out of it still. Highly recommended!

What an amazing Museum. The story of those who came before us preserved over time lest we forget what the cost of freedom really means. If your in the city as a tourist this is a must see attraction and more importantly a history lesson for the world that we cannot remain silent when faced with evil.

Wonderful experience. So much information, historical facts documented. The museum had a lot of objects from the second world war, including telephones, motorcycles, some movie registrations. A great memorial dedicated to the human spirit of fighting against all odds. Very moving, detailed and systematic display of everything related to the uprising. The two movies are well made. Really liked the story telling divided over 4 floors. Good place for adults and kids. It's a traffic style of brave people like us who fought for something they believed and lost but told in a very engrossing way. It's quite crowded. Even on a weekday afternoon in August.

This Museum is well organised, very interesting, well laid out, and has a lot to see. I was thoroughly impressed and enjoyed every moment inside. It is so well worth the entrance fee. It's a must when you are in Warsaw. We bought Metro tickets for the day for 3 pounds I think and moved all over town on the tram. Loved it. Warsaw Poland is definitely so European. I can't wait to come back again. There is too much to see for a long weekend. I also found Warsaw to be affordable when travelling on the Pound. I honestly never thought of Poland as a travel destination for myself, and now, I am excited to return some day. I loved my experience here. I felt safe, and there is order.
Come and visit Poland. You're welcome.

A nice museum with a lot of material to see. 30 minutes might be just enough if you are quick, but for some people even several hours might not bee too much. Depends how precisely you want to read through all the texts and such.

This museum was an in-depth dive into Poland and its uprising during the war!
I think it’s a crucial piece of history with details into specifics suffered in Poland and the incredible bravery mustered up by the people who refused to settle into the horrific position they were put in. It discusses the ghettos which was very interesting and something I personally didn’t know too much about
The museum layout was a little messy and the 3D fly through was a very interesting experience but was about a 40 minute wait for about a 7 minute film - wouldn’t recommend this
Otherwise the museum was a great one to visit and learn about Polands history! ✨

There's really big lockers for bags in the yard opposite the entrance. You need 5PLN coin to operate the lockers. I used a 50 euro cent coin which worked perfectly.

I visited here on a Monday.
The signs are not clear on entry, as to where to get your tickets from🤦♂️🤷♂️
Being English, the ticket sign was written in Polish! In areas there was English written alongside Polish signs.
I had to get directions to find the ticket area. Oh its written as 'Kasa' a little building set on its own at the end of the courtyard👍
After all that, getting into the ticket office, I was surprised to find out it was free on a Monday! Result😀 so as I left the ticket office, I donated money into this huge glass collection box, outside.
There was no queue today, about 1.30pm.
There was no English tour guide available, so had to wander around and check out all the displays and read up on them.
It is another amazing part of Polish history! Solely based about The Warsaw Uprising.
There are so many areas based in here, all with written information or recorded vocal and filmed footage.
The struggles of the Polish people is truly upsetting, then the admiration and bravery of their Polish ancestors, fighting, sometimes an impossible fight.
The stories of support from other nations is commendable!
There is information here of the atrocities they went through, but the strength Polish men, women and children, even their Goats, supporting them with well need milk supplies😱
The stories of how they coped in the underground, then to try to fight against the strength of the Germans.
Living and moving through the drainage system, only to surface for well needed supplies!
The cinema room shows photography from an aircraft circling Warsaw after all the bombing! Truly upsetting😢 but admiration to all of the Polish people that tried to fight back!
Was nice to see the footage of Germans being captured and taken prisoner's after the war, some karma coming back to them, although the Polish were not barbaric like the Germans were.
You have to take several hours to take all the information in here at the Warsaw uprising museum.
I highly recommend coming here, just to learn what people have had to suffer and not to let it happen again.

I will have to go to the Tomb of the unknown Soldier again now, to pay my silent respects to all❤️

Great place to learn about the struggles and the resistance that took place during Natzi occupation in Warsaw. Obviously you go there to also pay respect and remember. It's a school kid age destination so you won't be there alone but it wasn't too crowded when we visited.

The exhibition is interesting and well executed, a lot of historical pieces and stories about the polish people during WWII.
I do think that the part of jews in the resistance against the Nazis during WWII should be told, as it was one of the greatest rebellions against the germans during the war.
More over, it is hard to look at the polish people as complete victims knowing that a lot of polish people cooperated with the germans in the mass murder of jews during the war.

I had an absolutely fantastic time at the Warsaw Uprising Museum. The attention to detail in the interior design is remarkable, truly capturing the essence of the era. I was pleasantly surprised by the wealth of information provided. I could spent an entire day engrossed in the exhibits, absorbing the stories and events that shaped the city's history.
Even though my visit was relatively short, I left with a profound sense of connection to the past. I'd strongly recommend allocating a good 2-3 hours to fully appreciate the experience. It's not just a museum visit – it's an journey that allows you to immerse yourself in the struggles, sacrifices, and triumphs of the people during that pivotal time.
The Warsaw Uprising Museum is an absolute must-visit, and I'm already planning to return. Whether you're a history buff or just curious about the past, this museum offers an exceptional opportunity to explore and learn. Don't miss out on this enriching and moving experience.

Unfortunately a great museum. Lot of interactive parts, with a well explained visit path, and the possibility to rent an audio guide for a more complete experience. Plan at least a few hours to completely experience the whole experience, as they also screen some movies and have a temporary exhibition on top of the standard museum that in itself is worth visiting when in town.
Rynek Starego Miasta, also known as the Old Town Market Square, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Warsaw that has been meticulously restored after being nearly destroyed during World War II. Surrounded by pastel townhouses and historic museums like the History Museum and the Museum of Literature, this square is a vibrant hub for dining, shopping, and people-watching at its pavement cafes and boutique shops.

Łazienki Park is one of the most beautiful places in Warsaw and is a popular tourist destination with a range of attractions including palace, gardens, amphitheatre and various follies. The park is well-maintained and peaceful and is perfect for a relaxing day out.
Beautiful park in the center of Warsaw, I advise all tourists to visit. Admission to the park is free, there are also museums on site, which can be accessed for a fee. The territory of the park is very large and spacious, you can take beautiful photos and just relax in nature. Peacocks also live in the park and there are many squirrels. Incredible place! 😍😍😍

It was the most remarkable they that I spent in Warsaw. I love this place so much. You can observe some animals here. Also, you can walk around the park and experience being so close to nature. Giant trees, a great walking path, and clean air will take all that stress you have, trust me.

Lazienki Park in Warsaw is like a quiet, beautiful garden in the middle of the city. It's full of pretty plants, big old buildings, and calm ponds. You can walk around, see historical places like the Palace on the Water, and enjoy the Chopin Monument and you will have a lot of birds , chirping sounds make it even more beautiful. It's a great place to relax and learn about history if you visit Warsaw. Toilet signs are not well placed, you have run around to realize it's within the hunting museum.

Great and impressive park with rich history and nice nature around. You can find several buildings as parts of royal residence and even peacocks in any season! It's better to spend at least 2 hours in this park to discover main places.

It is such a beautiful place with greenery.
There is a very nice cafe with coffee, ice cream and all kinds of beverage.
There are peacocks and squirrels around, which makes you feel connected with the nature
You should definitely visit this place, especially in summer!

Nice place. It has different sculptures: par example, Greek. Famous female sculptor from Athens came here to create something called “center of the world”.
Furthermore, You can observe ducks and pigeons happily exploring the vast fields of grass. Ducks like to swim and approach people.
Łazienki-Park is big. Even though it is famous and popular, You can always find a cozy place to rest and calm Your soul.

Nice place for evening strolls! The plants, birds, and buildings were well-reserved!
There were also free toilets and people who sold coffee, snacks, and sugar canes right outside of the park!

Lovely large park with plenty of interesting features, a lake, museum and plenty of signage. Lots of places to walk and plenty of benches to sit. All kept very clean, this feels a safe and secure area to visit. Seems popular with families and runners.

A beautiful park with a lot to see and enjoy.
Very popular but it is large enough to find quiet spaces.
(Lots of red squirrels, beware they are very used to being fed so will run up your leg if you stand still looking at them!)

Came here on our trip to Warsaw for a bit of time away from the city. Was a fair walk from the centre but worth it for this peaceful atmosphere. I can imagine it’s beautiful in the summer but we still enjoyed it on a grey winters day. The highlight was seeing the peacocks and red squirrels, but this park is a beautiful place to visit to relax for an hour or so.

I was there during the summer and it was beautiful, a lot to see around , relax , breath the air and walk around. You can find some hidden spots to sit surrounded by the trees and nature . Recommend for anyone visiting Warsaw to spend a day here in nature and explore the history. However dogs are not allowed in the park. Heads-up for dog owners . Warsaw is generally dog friendly. A family day out here would be lovely. It’s kids friendly. The map is helpful so lay your hands on one of you can .

The Royal Łazienki (the Royal Baths) was one of those places in Warsaw that enchanted me completely! I am a total fan of greenery, and here in the very center of the city there is a huge, vast area drowning in greenery with charming paths, monuments, squirrels and walking peacocks. Contact with nature, peace, quiet, the opportunity to watch jumping squirrels, all surrounded by 18th century architecture. Everything was amazing there.
Brest Fortress, also known as the Hero Fortress, is a 19th-century fortress located in Brest, Belarus. It gained its heroic title to honor its defense during the German-Soviet War of 1941-1945. The fortress features imposing ruins and a museum that provides background on the events of World War II. Visitors can explore artifacts and photographs from this period. The complex also includes a brutalist-style concrete memorial statue.
Was awestruck and simply amazed visiting this place. As I entered, they were playing "the Sacred War", one of the most famous World War II songs, and this was easily one of the most Soviet experiences I ever had in my many stays in former Soviet countries.

Good museum to give background to the events during WW2 that occurred at the fortress. Some displays are in English, but you can easily get the idea about the artifacts and photographs which have not been translated.
Do not miss the excellent museum shop downstairs. Very reasonable prices on some interesting souvenirs, from coins to old bullets.

Here you can experience the greatness and sadness of war simultaneously, nothing much left of the original buildings thanks to those Germans, but the museum and maps of the Fort give a good idea of how large the site actually is. The monuments are imposing as go never forget what happened.

Formerly known as Brest-Litoŭsk Fortress, is a 19th-century fortress in Brest in present-day Belarus. In 1965 the title "Hero Fortress" was given to the fortress to commemorate the defence of the frontier stronghold during the first week of the German-Soviet War of 1941-1945 when Axis forces invaded the Soviet Union with the launch of Operation Barbarossa on June 22, 1941. The Druskininkai Aquapark is a large water park that offers visitors an exciting experience with its numerous thrilling slides and waves, as well as more relaxing bathhouses and saunas. It is the ideal location for both relaxation and fun. Those without children can enjoy the quieter bath area, which features a pool, saunas, hamam, and allows drinks inside. However, it is disappointing that there are currently no bathhouse programs available.
Perfect place for relax and fun. If you don't have kids with you, you can go only at bath area. It has same pool but more quiet and peaceful and allowed of drinks inside. Also it has saunas, hamam etc. Really worth a visit!

The best aquapark in Baltic States I’ve ever seen. The bath and sauna area just superb, with all their free of charge extra programs to enjoy your stay and relax properly. Wide variety of saunas to try and stay in one forever🥰 it is the quiet place with no kids allowed in bath area, so you can have your kids entertained in open area with river and pools, special kids area. Special thanks to the young man in pool bar and two ladies in upper bar - your attention to guests is heartwarming. The cafe in open area - delicious food, but quite rude and unwelcoming two ladies behind the counter, which stained the atmosphere and experience.
In overall - definitely going to come again, one star down just for the cafeteria.

Went with family on a weekday. Pretty packed, but not overcrowded. Had some issues with entry with a 2 year old, which I needed to bring in carrying him over the gate - otherwise you can’t open the gate twice, had to ask for assistance to get in (could have been warned). Didn’t try the slides, but kids had good fun in the kids area. Convenient when it comes to the restaurant - you scan the entry card and pay when you leave. Had a lot of fun at the artificial wave pool, although it (as sort of an important attraction) Was a bit overcrowded. Overall - good place to spend some time with family. Youngsters did enjoy their time there and they do want to come back.

We visited aqua park on Wednesday afternoon. Not too much people, no crowding, apart from Bermudai slide, wait was 15 to 20 minutes. Not scary slide, just parts of that is pitch black. Azartinis slide is good for kids, and people who are not in extreme things. River around is with strong stream and be prepared that not always there will be yellow tyres available. Sea wave pool has 1.50 metres deep and really big waves, with 1.64m height don't step in there without tyre, waves will go over your head. Cafe upstairs, coffee €2, cold coffee € 3.50, beer 2.70 small glass, good prices for other food too.

Trakai Island Castle is a picturesque medieval fortress located on an island in a tranquil lake. It was constructed around 1400 to provide stronger defenses for Grand Duke Vytautas. The castle is characterized by coral-colored brick towers and serves as the home of the excellent Trakai History Museum, which displays various artifacts from past eras including chainmail, medieval weapons, embroidery and glassware. During summer months, the castle's courtyard becomes a magical stage for concerts and plays.
Very beautiful place. Exactly in hot weather I am very recommend to rent a water bysicle and go across the island around the castle. I will love it, I promise you. For renting any water attraction you need a cash! Souvenirs in front of the main bridge to castle supports card payment. All restaurants also support cards.

Cute little castle on an island in Trakai outside of Vilnius. We went on a Sunday and it was remarkably quiet and peaceful.
You cross a bridge over the lake to get to the castle island. You can then either pay for a ticket to see the castle or you can simply walk around the perimeter of the castle. We were short on time so we opted for the latter. We walked around the outside and didn’t see a single person in the middle of the day on a weekend.
We also got to enter the main castle gate and have a look at the courtyard without paying for a ticket.

This is a lovely castle and certainly worth a visit if you are staying in Vilnius or surrounding area. It makes a great day out. There is ample parking in the town and the castle is an easy walk. All the usual tourist souvenir shops are on the way.
The castle is in excellent condition and has a large number of exhibits from around the area over the centuries. This are arranged in the rooms, mainly in the main keep. They cover different periods in the castle’s history.
You can walk all around the castle, both around the outside and within. You can even rent a boat and go right round the outside. Some of the views across the lake are really nice, though there is nothing that really stands out. The gift shop is really good and actually cheaper than many of the market stalls in the village. I would certainly recommend a visit.

The history museum Gediminas Castle Tower in Vilnius tells the story of the city from its settlement by Grand Duke Gediminas in the 15th century to present day. The tower, which is one of Vilnius' oldest and most popular tourist attractions, offers a 360-degree panorama of the city and exhibits objects related to Lithuania's history.
What an amazing piece of history to have been able to visit. It's quite the walk heading up there so have your walking shoes on. Breathtaking views on the observation deck on top of the Castle. You have to check this place out if you ever visit Vilnius.

What is worth most about the tower is the panoramic view of the city. Best times are early in the morning or at sunset. Pay particular attention to the operating hours of the cable car because otherwise the ascent is by stairs (as I did).

Interesting looking building. I would recommend paying to visit the tower. There is a lot of modern history here covering the struggles and efforts made by Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia in their cause to become autonomous. Lots of pictures and information available.
The view from the tower overlooking the centre is nice although in my view you can get an even better view from The Three Crosses Monument.
I would definitely put the castle in my top list of things to do in Vilnius.

We were on a snowy day of minus 8 degrees. Getting up in such a cold is not physically simple - certainly for a person living in a hot country. Reaching the top reveals an amazing view of the entire painted city. We decided not to enter the museum and the cable car did not work either.

One of the must visit landmarks in the city.
It has a small exhibit that is worth having a quick look around but the main attraction is the tower itself.
The views from the top are of the entire Old Town and some of the rest of Vilnius and these are unrivaled.
There is a hillside train to assist people getting to the top of the hill if walking isn't possible but the only way to access the tower is stairs.

You don't need to pay anything to get to the hill itself, however if you want to see the tower it's an extra charge.

Overall it may be quite small. Also no restrooms in the building as far as I could tell.

Davide Rossetto — Google review
All that's left from the castle is one tower and some ruins. You can climb the tower or use an elevator, entrance is paid.
To get to the hill you can use a ferry ride for 1 € per person/ride. Or you can climb pretty steep hill and stairs to get on top. Not recommended for people with movement problem/bad knees etc. - use furnicular instead.
However, you can get really nice view of the town from here. One of the best. I would say.

It’s not quite clear where exactly the entrance is, but once you walk around the perimeter, you’ll see the signs for walking up or taking the funicular. This is a must if you want to get a great view of both sides of the city of Vilnius.

Really incredible views of the city. Lovely on a clear day. The museum / tower is €6+ to enter. But worth it if you can manage to climb to the top of the tower. It is very steep. There is also a funicular that take you up and down the hill if you are unable to walk up and down. This is €1 each way.

I had the privilege of getting to the top of this tower and seeing the entire old town in Vilnius, and this is a beautiful historic castle tower that was constructed in the 1400s. It felt like I was traveling back in time and the staff here were friendly and informative when asked them questions. Anyone traveling to Vilnius for the first time must come and check this place out. 5 Stars!!

If you go to Vilnius, this is obviously the one place you should visit. Access to the mount is free. The views across the city from the top are fantastic and the whole site is interesting. Within the tower there are a few exhibits, though they could fit a lot more in, considering they charge for entry. You can either walk up or take the funicular up.
The walk on the side coming from the river is quite steep, with stairs at the top of the path. There is a much easier walk from the main square. I would certainly recommend a visit, just for the views.

One of the must visit places in Vilnius. I am not sure if this is the highest point in the city or not, but from here the panoramic view of the entire Vilnius city is some which no one should miss.
Two options to reach the top, via Vertical lift or by walk. We choose to climb up by walk, and the path is well demarcated and maintained. No tickets apart from the tower, it was closed when we visited.

Iconic historical landmark of Vilnius. It is a must-visit place in the city that can be easily reached on foot or by funicular. There is a wonderful view of the whole city from there. It is also a good orientation point if you are walking through the streets of Vilnius.

It's so worth the climb. It's not a long climb, a tad steep but there are steps and bars to assist ascending. The view of the city from the top is magnificent especially towards sunset as the light hits certain points of the city. Fantastic

Mir Castle is a 16th-century fortification located on a 27-hectare property. The castle has been recently renovated and converted into a museum featuring displays about the life and times of the Radziwills. Inside, visitors can find beautifully restored interiors with over 120 items to learn about through an audioguide. The castle also houses an eatery and souvenir shop. Its reflection in an adjoining pond creates a magnificent sight similar to that of Disney's castles.
Mir Castle in Grodno region is one of the most important tourist attractions in Belarus, an outstanding 16th-century fortification and a UNESCO World Heritage site.

It was an absolutely fabulous experience. My 9-year-old daughter enjoyed it the most. An absolute must when you are in Belarus. The town close by also has historical significant sights and is worth a visit. Some touristy stalls outside the grounds sell souvenirs. Town shops give good service with a market on weekends. The pharmacist went out of her way to help me and speak english.

This is a really interesting castle for anyone! I am really happy I decided to go to the castle and learn more about the history of the region. It was well worth getting the audio guide! Their is too much stuff to simply read and get through.
The curators did an amazing job allowing people to go through the different towers of the castle and having people explore the castle. It was really fun to climb through the different stairs and levels.
Beware for the tall people the stairs were made for smaller men!

If you wish to see a castle like in fairytales, you definitely should visit Mir Castle. It was recently renovated and looks amazing. There are a museum, a restaurant and a hotel inside. So one can get the whole experience 🤩
I visited the museum. Recommend to go there as well

A wonderful thing about Belarus management of such landmarks, is that they turn whole area into an open museum, with all its lakes, fields, trees and animals.
The place is full of history, arts and beauty of both architecture and nature.

Nice-looking, moderately renovated castle. There is a hotel inside, so you can spend a night as well. The castle is not so big and there is not a lot of interesting things around it, bug the view is great

Interesting renovated castle in Belarus, good for a day trip. Kids will love the uneven steps and small passageways that take you to the top of the towers, older adults less so .
Good exhibitions on the history of the castle, including its time as a concentration camp for Jews who were almost all sadly massacred.
Rather bizarrely you can stay here overnight as a small hotel has opened in one small area. It certainly would be an experience, but one I am happy to miss :-)

This castle complex was by far my favorite tourist attraction in Belarus. It has been meticulously restored and the ticket covers entry to all aspects of the complex including the museum and cathedral. The signage was good and the personnel were friendly. The nearby Radziwill castle could learn about customer service from this castle. You could spend as much time as you like here and enjoy the beautiful parks surrounding the complex. I recommend at least one night in Mir to see the castle illuminated at night, at sunrise and at sunset. If I had known you can book a room in the castle I would have done that!

I don’t usually enjoy castles but this place was quite impressive and worth the ride from Minsk. Best way to reach is to rent a car for a day. Entrance to the courtyard and surrounding park is free.

The Nesvizh Radziwiłł Castle is an ancient stone palace with octagonal corner towers and a Baroque chapel added at a later time. It was built by the Radziwill family in 1583 and has undergone multiple restoration efforts over the years, incorporating various styles. The castle complex sits on a causeway surrounded by picturesque lakes and parkland. Once used as a sanatorium during Soviet times, it has been fully restored recently to its former glory.
Unfortunately didn’t have a chance to get inside. The castle looks gorgeous!
Definitely will visit it again

Very clean and beautiful place! The castle itself is pretty compact, but the territory and nature around is wonderful. Pick at least 3-4 hours for this visit.

Extremely great and beautiful castle ! I have never seen anything like this before! Every step makes you wonder! Every room is more beautiful than previous. It is not like ordinary museum, it is like castle still inhabited by people. You can see furniture, dresses, paintings , curtains, bedrooms, even tables are set up for the dinner. You must visit it!

Very professional restoration and beautiful grounds. I entered from the parking for hotel visitors. The ticket office was closed in the castle entrance and the guard did not understand my question as to where to go. There are poor markings for this information. A young man across the street at a period photo souvenir stand was helpful. I had to go to the other parking lot. When I finally got my ticket and entered, there was no instruction of where to go for the castle tour entrance. To be the number one tourist castle in Belarus the management here needs to improve the experience. Otherwise, I really enjoyed the grounds and the history. The miniature opera house was amazing.

Nice place to visit at Belorus! Better to take a guide especially if you are with children as he can make amazing advertising during the visit for the children of 9-12 days!( unfortunately we forget the name of the guide but he was just amazing!) besides there are some extra things to do with children near the castle or just to sit with beloved person on a branch with the view on nice lake…

The whole castle was restored so you can see it’s beauty !

A unique place that will give you nice memories !

Amazing experience. Every single detail has been restored and it feels like it's a king's home and not the museum. We had visited it in winter, but it was really worm and cozy inside. Performance of local singers in historical clothes was unexpected but great!

The best place in Belarus to visit. Rich halls inside, 4 wide gardens and handmade lake outside. This is one of those places, where you can see wealth and heritage of belarusian culture.
The National Library of Republic of Belarus is a contemporary and distinctively designed library that boasts an extensive collection of books. Its unique building, shaped like a rhombocuboctahedron, stands at over 73 meters tall and features an observation platform accessible by panoramic elevator. Visitors can enjoy views through binoculars with 30x magnification.
Amazing visit to a cheap price. Great view of the city on a sunny Minsk day is incredible. Highly recommend

Although far from the city center, the library is an easy ride on the metro (even for someone who speaks no Belarusian, like me). It’s completely worth it, as around the back of the library you can pay to go up to the 35th floor to see the surrounding view of the city. Beautiful!!!

I would said nothing about place where is the library located . Because there is metro station just few hundred metres out. I wouldn't said nothing about how massive is the building . Because it's really big but looking nice ... Good luck !!

The observation deck entrance is at the back side of the building. Paid some fee, climbed the lift. The deck is overlooking the city of Minsk. Very beautiful view from here. There's a cafe and rooms for art exhibition. At night, we waited to see the light spectacle. Beautiful illumination. It's worth the wait.

Families can explore different countries and religions, immersing themselves in the aesthetics of each nation. The park features a wide variety of restaurants and souvenir shops, offering goods to suit everyone's taste. The whole family went from Moscow for a few days here, chose "East Asia", walked everywhere, visited everything. Very nice and well done, both outside and inside! Very diverse buildings, restaurants, you can immerse yourself in the aesthetics of different countries and religions. Be sure to visit the культурно-образовательный центр and the street with flags there, there are insanely many places, rooms and information on various countries, as well as a lot of souvenir shops, goods for almost every taste. Everyone will be satisfied, including matchbox collectors with different images and fans of magnets with Ayaka in the style of USSR posters, dakimakura with hot Xiao! :)

Very interesting place, with different sections depicting different regions of Russia and the world - Siberia, the Caucasus, Ukraine, Belarus, Japan, India, Nepal, and many others. There are themed hotels, restaurants, and exhibitions for each, as well as free excursions and paid workshops (pottery, soap making, candle dipping, e.t.c). Highly recommend for a few days in the summer or early autumn when the weather is nice. Good for families.

Fun place. But that mostly for organized groups that book tours and kids over 8 yrs old. The cafes are ok. The Korchma with Russian-Ukranian good is supposedly one of best at this locale. Most activities and exhibits inside the general park area are at additional cost. At far above average prices.

Great place to visit with family and children. Territory is huge and you have real examples of different houses in different centuries. To see everything you need whole day. What is more, you can go to several master classes where you can learn how to do some things. On a territory are some places with different animals. Really sad to see hasky dogs in a cages.
Catherine Exter — Google review
Feels like a project that they began to build but ran out of money. The hotels are cheap and ugly, the lighting everywhere is terrible, the landscaping is bad, the cafes are overpriced and the portions are tiny. Worse yet, there is nothing to do here. There are poorly-made "monuments" every 200 meters or so, but its clear they made them just to photograph them and mislead people into thinking this place is more interesting than it is. Come here and you will see how ugly and fake everything is. I really have no idea what people find attractive about this place.

The largest ethnographic park in Russia! The trip to ETNOMIR is a bright and incredibly informative holiday in the Moscow region all year round. Unique excursions, master classes, animation and folklore programs, authentic country hotels, many cafes of national cuisine, festivals and holidays. More parking space. Presentation of different countries. I worked with the famous singer of Russia Natalia on a music video song ‘у меня есть только ты’ at ethnomir

This is my first time in Etnomir. So, definitely it is a great place. There are many architecture styles that was merged into Mir Street and hotels. I was extremely impressed by facade of the Nepal hotel. In spite of this feeling with family we were staying in the hotel of East Asia and room was clean and sweet. And as we were lucky with the weather we could visit every place in this huge area and just relax in place that out of carbon dioxide and full of the fresh air in harmony with nature
