Good shopping place. It has several brands outlet, most of them had atleast 20% discount going on. Adidas and some other sports brands had few other offers. Huge parking space and easy to reach by bus. Wish to see more food options.
Lalit Choudhary — Google review
It was such a fun place to visit. It reminds me of olden days having carnival. But you can find all the brands available in the market out there. Must visit.
Mahesh Chandra — Google review
Found some nice clothes and cutlery. Nice experience in general though Espresso house was not very well kept, tables were not cleaned and litter on the ground.
Staffan — Google review
It’s one of Very few fashion outlets there in Sweden, but it’s good with lots of options(brands) We can spend a whole day shopping, eating and walking here also kids have lot of space to play around.. good place to have a busy day
Tea captures — Google review
We had as usual a lovely time. As a tourist do remember to ask for the day VIP pass . Gives you an additional 10% on all shops even those shops that aren’t part of the Hede club .
Tough to use the cash back up l find, rubbish expresso house isn’t part nor gives any discounts.
Tax free only available in some shops but early pay out can be given at info centre albeit receipt needs to be stamped and sent in via envelope given for the cash not to be taken back.
Prices are ,when special deals on, good but no great bargains in general to be found if no deals on.
Jessica Males — Google review
A shopping center with just way too many stores, I haven't even had time to see them all.
Unfortunately the prices has risen since it changed name from "Freeport" (the name I also preferred), but it doesn't change the fact that you will have a marvelous selection of stores to look around in.
And once you get hungry from all the shopping, run over to 'Dine' for the best burgers in Västra Götaland! (I'm not an affiliate with them, just love their mouth watering burgers 🤤)
Philip von Bahr — Google review
Don't be fooled, it's definitely not an "outlet". All the prices are just as high (often higher) than regular prices anywhere else. Presumably they've just raised the "regular" prices so much that a 30% discount seems like a good deal.
It's a very nice atmosphere though, the walking around between small shops in an enclosed area that's kinda also outdoors.
Just don't go there hoping to make good deals. Cannot recommend 👎
David (Dunder_GG) — Google review
Favourite place for shopping. Huge variety, very good quality, kind service, free parking, restaurants and always cool atmosphere.
Andrejs Berkuta — Google review
Ultimate destination for clothing. There are shops for multiple brands. Most of the shops are not outlets hence it’s expensive. But you can pretty much find all the clothes and apparels here. Also they announce discounts and sale weeks quite often.
Joyel CJ — Google review
It was our first visit to Hede and the outlet was having a Black Friday sale. Had a great time shopping. The place was a bit small compared to other outlets that I have visited before but it was fun. It has a Halal restaurant too.
Shahrina Abdullah — Google review
Very good for all kinds of clothing and brands. Almost all international brands meets here
RIJO VADAKKAN — Google review

Zahid Saleem — Google review
Nice place overall. It is outlet, open shopping center with most of nice brands. I like the environment.
English-style castle in early 20th-century decor, with landscaped park & gardens, plus guestrooms.
I loved visiting this place. It's a lot to it. You have second had, coffee/lunch place, a restaurant, beautiful garden, castle tour, coastal walk, old village and they even do plays there as well.
Worth a visit for sure! Very picturesque.
Linn Ahlberg — Google review
Good castle but you cannot go inside the castle, but just roam around the castle
The area around is too good and scenic and its nice for a day family trip
Vineeth Kuttippala — Google review
Beautiful place. It is a jewel. It doesn't matter if the sun is shining or the snow is falling it always feels like something magical.
It has a downside tho, I would advise checking the weather beforehand if you are to visit their Christmas market, I went on a rainy day and it was a bit painful because the market was in the open air.
Josefa Smith — Google review
It is a must for everyone passing by or coming close. You experience the past life, community ideas for perfect society and creative power of constructed castle and life given to perfect gardens. Ocean is calling you.
Vedran Salihodzic — Google review
If you’re within a couple hours from the location and like castles you won’t regret making time for this lovely spot . Ocean views , gardens that delight and so much more . The church and small homes on the property are also worth a short walk from the castle . One of them is decorated and open to the public . There’s a lovely church on the grounds as well . Coffee and fika available and a fantastic second hand shop too . It’s just fantastic !!
Happyshopper — Google review
Amazing place for a walk (dogs included). Friendly people. I loved the fact that the steeping stones on almost every incline was uneven and using normal stones. Gives the impression they were layed there by the castles original inhabitants. As a medieval Fan, its a must if your in the area!
Danyas Franken — Google review
We got the guided tour this time. It was presented as a story of the first owner who built the castle between 1898 and 1904. Sadly the first owners passed before they could use the castle much. It's Sweden's 2nd youngest castle. Great place to visit with little hiking paths in the forest area near the castle. Beautiful after a rainy summer.

Tjolöholm Castle is a charming blend of history and natural beauty. The castle’s intricate architecture and well-preserved interiors offer a glimpse into the past, while its stunning gardens provide a tranquil escape. Perfect for a leisurely stroll or attending cultural events hosted on the estate, Tjolöholm is a gem for those seeking a serene retreat with a touch of history.

Fantastic place, with a history going back to 16th century, last been used as living place 1950th.
Beautiful garden, and some beautiful hiking areas around the castle.
A very historical place, and you can get guided tours in the castle.
Reima Henriksson — Google review
Fantastic views that are worth the trip alone. The castle has several activities and events that are worth checking out, I'm going back for more afternoon tea in the future.

I loved this place!! Beautiful and peaceful, with great scenery and a beach!!! Parking close and cafes around! A perfect getaway on a weekend! Unfortunately, we could not enter as it was late and it closes at 2 pm but you can enjoy your time around the place which is for me was more than enough
Hafez Al sayed — Google review
Had a great day visit here. There are loads of secret pathways to spectacular views and hidden gems with a quiet and peaceful atmosphere. Grounds are well kept and a beachfront in front of the castle a short walk past the grounds area. Worth the visit!
Miran Franken — Google review
The castle has a lot of history and is really well maintained. The people incharge of it put in a lot of effort to keep it clean. They are very friendly and explain the rules in a very calm manner. You are also handed out a catalog to read about the history of the castle while walking around.

I visit this beautiful castle during their Christimas Market. It was a wonderful experience, and the setting that was set up around Christmas market was nice. Looking forward to visit this place again during the summer.

I came here for a Christmas market on 18th of November and I absolutely fell in love with this place! Beautiful interior was definitely worth paying for the entrance which was 75 Swedish krona.

I found this place truly amazing. The view, the surrounding are so great. It also worth to buy the tickets to check the rooms upstairs. Remarkable!!
Eric Liu — Google review
On a bike packing trip through Sweden along Kattegattleden, we stopped in to admire the mansion (easy to miss on the bike trail with little signage, but easy to find with Google maps of course). The grounds themselves are lovely with placards posted around to provide information about the history. We opted for a self-guided tour of the mansion interior. The host inside who greeted us was friendly and knowledgeable and provided booklets that contained a good amount of information and points of interest for each room. Overall, I found the history mildly interesting, and it was a digestible amount of information that left me feeling satisfied with the stop.
Ryan — Google review
This castle would be a great place to spend a day exploring the history and architecture, while also enjoying the outdoors. The grounds are perfect for a leisurely stroll or a game of catch, and the forest is a great place to hike or have a picnic. This castle would be a fun and educational experience for the whole family.

A modest-sized museum with excellent and innovative displays. Make sure to see the bog man exhibition. Very helpful staff. Most legends are in Swedish. There is a very fine book shop with unusual publications on local history and a lovely cafe.

Here the remains of the old mud man mudgerd från mudbäck are displayed. You can see mud around his bones and also displayed in a special exhibition on the colours of mud. If you like mud you can by it in the museum's store. The store people can tell whatever you want to here about the purpose of this mud. Just tell them what you want to use it for, they'll repeat it then. Have fun and mud on!

Interesting and interactive museum which offers a lot to see. Temporary exhibitions, impressionist artwork, the history of Halland and the Bocksten Man are just a few of the things you can see here. This makes the entrance fee quite worthwhile.
Well-known superstore selling diverse goods on an expansive property with a campground & hotel.
Amazing place. A must visit every time I visit Sweden.
Now even bigger with a large bbq and outdoor furniture section

A huuuge shopping center 🏬 might say it’s almost a signature of Sweden, have never met any Swede who never heard about it... yet 😅 It has kind of everything you might look for… and at least doubled you never thought of… or didn’t even know existed 🥴
I will praise you if you can visit and exit empty handed 😉
Today I was mostly looking for motorhome stuff 🚐… and some yummies 😋 and the pics I took are only a small selection of all they sell. I love this store!
It’s easy to visit by motorhome and caravan as well, there’s a special parking, spacious enough to park easy and convenient 🅿️😊👍

Where to start?? I will cover what I haven't seen in other reviews
1. Be there early. Preferably on a week day where hopefully the crowd will be less. We visited on a Tuesday from 3pm to 6pm and it was still crowded
2. Have a Swedish coin with you for the trolley. You can't do without a trolley.
3. Prepare to spend about 6 hours if that is your first time.
4. There was dinning inside, we ate at an buffet restaurant beside the Gekas, but we suspect the food would have been cheaper inside the Gekas. Like ikea dinning
5. There are other shops, outside and around Gekas. I.e outlet stores apart from Gekas. I visited only Panduro because I like arts and craft pieces. Prices were cheap but not a lot of options like a real panduro. Those stores might be worth visiting, which means an additional time apart from the 6hrs inside Gekas
6. There Is a hotel about 200metres from Gekas. Might be worth looking into spending the night as opposed to making it a day trip. One day just doenst seem enough to come all the way especially if it is your first time.

This is a Swedish institution! It is very big and it takes many hours to walk around here and look at goods!
Found asome cheap offersbut also many more expensive ones! Everything you can think of is here! People travel from far away to shop here! I dont understand that equation! Some things are cheap, but I don't see a cost saving to drive 30-40 miles, which in itself costs a lot too!
Lots of people and sometimes chaotic when you have to keep track of the shopping cart and your company and cruise around between hundreds of other shopping carts!
Efficient checkout lines! lots of places to eat, both inside the department store itself, and outside in connection to the building!
Rob — Google review
A lot of space, nice stuff to buy, and the sports- cafe! Good salads and amazing cupcakes! No ps5 for sale, but other than that, a cool place to visit for sure. There’s a camping parking spot and big lots. No worries

So many items to shop, Mind will be bombarded for first timers, Need to plan and lost down items and go to that section and buy, thats it. I felt Many items are less price compare to other place .

Namasee Ganguly — Google review
This time around it was great. Not a lot of people, space to move around, got some great deals. Parking close by.
The food could have been better though.
Usually it is extremely crowded and people are just everywhere.
Remember to wear good walking shoes and ALWAYS take a picture of your shopping carts number in the front.
Placing shopping baskets under and in your cart is the best way to make your shopping experience 100%...

We were first time here. This was an experience for us we were from Stockholm bit far for us. Really big store you need to plan to spend a full day here. We were there for 5 hours we were really tired. It’s bit difficult find a staff and staff was not great helpful but worked.
Jose Maxwell — Google review
Very crowded place could move a meter without stopping and trying to get a bite yo eat is a struggle inside. Other than that it's a great place to save tons of money. Specially shopping for the holidays. There's everything you need or want.
Chrisss — Google review
One big store where you can get almost everything. From food, toys, makeup, clothes and even plants. So if you like shopping and a lot of people in one place, this is perfect for you. Low prices. You can shop all day and get food inside the store while your cart is placed outside the cafe (inside the store). The store is in the midle of nowhere, so it's a long drive... But the sorrounding town of Ullared has hotels and restaurants. Unike shopping experience...
Cecilie Moland Kristiansen — Google review
IF you get there e a r l y the check-out area can look like this!
But, it's more common to be in the line for about 1 hour...unless it's pay weekend, Christmas time and weekend!..then you should bring drinks and snacks!
It's a huge store. Huge. The hour will fly while you walk around department after department. A lot of useful things and good prices but also loads of less needed stuff! Dun, but less necessary. Stick to your list!
Just saw a battery driven Advent light w a remote control...Now THAT is taking everything sacred about Xmas to another level?
OK food and good prices.
Karin — Google review
After many years, I finally went to Ullared and i could say that it was hard. It's huge and really easy to get lost so make sure that at the entrance you take a map so you don't waste your time. This is not a place where i would go often, I don't like that much of a crowded place. Make sure you need to put a list and then go shopping, lots of things have got discounted prices from clothes to normal everyday stuff.
edina hotic — Google review
What a store, unbelievable experience!! Never thought such a store exists in Sweden. Never have I been to such a large store with so much different things! They literally have everything, outdoor furniture, shampoo, breads and soo much more! As a tourist you have to visit this place.

Tylösand is a stunning 7 kilometer-long sandy beach that is popular among sunbathers and swimmers, with its borders lined with dunes. The beach boasts great sand quality and ample parking space. Visitors can enjoy watching lifeguards train on the beach, making it a lively place to be. While the weather may impact the experience, Tylösand's natural beauty makes it worth visiting even during colder months.
Extremely beautiful beach great sand great parking was down there when the lifeguards were training and practising extremely good to watch them do their thing happy that they’re there The beach looks like it must be better on a sunny day but still cloudy Swedish weather day it is a very nice beach I would actually rated and compare it to an Australian beach it is a really really nice beach

Lovely beach with soft sand, beautiful view and enough space even when it is busy. There are some beach bars here and there and there are even toilets and showers.
(According to the locals, the sand is of better quality than that of Hawaii beach).
At the beginning of the beach you can sit on the rocks and further on you can play volleyball or football with the placed nets and goals.
The only drawback is that many jellyfish wash up later in the day, but if you watch out for this, it is a wonderful beach!

Nice beach in Halmstad. The water is very quiet and clean. It is a four-kilometre-long beach. It has been named Sweden’s best beach time and time again. You can even enjoy a walk and find Tjuvahålan and Svärjarehålan. The two bays have a small beach, rocks and a jetty – perfect for a nice walk with friends and family.

This beach was unexpectedly great! Best time to visit is on Midsummer.
The weather was nice and the sunset was around 9pm-10pm. You must not miss the beautiful horizon!
The water was quite cold at first but then very refreshing. We met lots of jellyfish (not dangerous) and shell near the shore. The beach got a little crowded around 4pm-5pm (after work). These caused long queue to the only snackbar/kiosk nearby.

We came here a day when the forecast promised rain but the sun was shining so we were pretty much alone. Amazingly wide sand beach with a lot of space for many guests. Pretty shallow water, great for the kids. Some kiosks around for Icecream and snacks.

Wonderful peninsula for hiking - no difficulties. The round tour (marked orange) is recommended. Pack a bathing suit and plenty of time, it's worth it. The visit to the centre at the top (halfway point) is also worthwhile. Especially noteworthy, outside, the litter educational trail with the final post with plastic bags to help keep nature clean.

NO HIGH HEELS! NO Birkenstocks or School sandals. You need to be able to walk without falling!! Lots of People are falling on the rocks that are everywhere. And also the paths are very steep! Nobody can help you if you fall down. It is too steep, to narrow, to high! In the nearby area, by The caves. Do NOT try to walk beside The walkpaths. It is only stupid! It's so idiotic to do! It is not cool! A couple of weekend ago a 11 yrs old boy fall badly... So parent. Watch your own legs and take care of your children! Overall. It is beautiful to visit The lighthouse and The area. A lovely scenic place with sweeping views of Kattegat and Kullaberg peninsula. Big estates nearby, golf courses, and lush hiking trails. Go for it.

Incredible views! Easy walk that is dog friendly. There a bunch of trails to choose from but it’s a relatively short walk from the parking lot to the light house. There is a visitors center at the top with whale watching views. There is a replica of the old light house that was basically a flaming torch next to the newer more modern lighthouse. We did not find any mushrooms on our walk but we were looking.

Beautiful views, windy and cold. It was pretty cool.

Great spot to spend quality time with friends and family. Plenty of parking spaces available. There is a fee of 30kr to go on top of the lighthouse. You will get a binocular to look around. There are at least 5 hiking trails around this place with easy to hard difficulty levels. Be prepared for strong winds.

It was a very beautiful scenic view from the top, towards the waters. The place was not crowded much. The sunset view, was a treat to the eyes! Lovely colors of sky, nice place to visit.
We also walked down the path, Mountain path near the Lighthouse which lead us near the rocks towards the water. The path was not very hard to walk down, it also had trails to balance. The small rocks might be bit slippery if it is raining. Nice place to spend around!

We stopped here so our kids could play in the amazing park. We all thought it was superb. Furthermore the public loos that are on site here were the best I have seen (even in Sweden). The petting zoo was great fun for all of us as well and gave us a chance to really talk about different animals.

Great place for a day out with the family. One of the biggest playgrounds I've seen, lots of different animals (chickens, pigs, deer, etc.), a cafe, and a waffle restaurant.
There's also a place that has a ropes course high up in the trees.

Fantastic park for families. Petting zoo, great playgrounds, some museums, and a lovely ice cream shop. Also a train that goes into the city for the kiddos to ride. Plus entrance to the park is FREE!

The playground is fun for the little ones, but perhaps less so for bigger kids. Lots of farm animals, and a large herd of tame deer. Didn't try the zip-lines but the large course through the tree tops looks like it would be fantastic. Pricey though, at almost 400kr.

Kronborg Slot, a 16th-century castle that served as the model for Elsinore in Shakespeare's Hamlet, is an impressive Renaissance structure declared a UNESCO World Heritage site. Its baroque green-copper spires crown a vast complex surrounded by moats and fortifications with Vaubanesque star bastions. Visitors can explore the inner palace's rooms adorned with tapestries and ceiling paintings, and marvel at the viewpoints it offers.
The castle is very interesting and filled with history.
I really am thankful for the amazing staff there. They are very good with speaking English and are very welcoming to everyone.
Me and my group had a tour guide and he was incredibly funny and interesting. He told us a lot of things I didn’t know about the castles history.

A good museum but it felt like it could be great.
The phone-based tour seemed incomplete and didn't flow well; also three of the four "tracks" were only in Danish (perhaps it's very new?).
The live action guides were okay but also could have been more engaging with adults.
The "cafe" was disappointing.

Kronborg Castle is a treasure, transporting visitors back in time with its rich history and breathtaking architecture. Don't miss the chance to see the famous "Hamlet's Castle" where Shakespeare's iconic tragedy was set – it's truly magical. Besides the captivating history, the castle is surrounded by well-maintained gardens, providing a peaceful spot to relax and take in the panoramic views.

Super entertaining castle for kids as well as a very intriguing museum. The story laid put by the staff for the kids to follow was very well thought out and immersive, they all really enjoyed it! It was also interesting to learn about the rich history of this UNESCO site!

The castle is worth visiting even without paying to go inside (the ticket is kinda pricey, 14€ per person). The place looks wonderful, and while resting on the beach we even sighted a wild seal and a harbour porpoise!
Around the castle there are lots of workshop and art galleries which is nice as it feels like local artists really have a way to express themselves and get the possibility to expose their work.
The little gift shop is also a bit pricey but it has funny little Hamlet-themed quirks.
Too bad they didn't write "to be or not to baby" on the baby onesie 😆

Kronborg Castle is an absolute treasure that deserves every one of its 5 stars. Steeped in history and famously known as the setting for Shakespeare's Hamlet, this castle is a must-visit destination.
Walking through the halls and chambers of Kronborg Castle feels like stepping back in time. The rich tapestry of Danish history comes alive as you explore this magnificent fortress. From the imposing battlements to the intricate details of the interior, every corner tells a story.
The connection to Shakespeare's Hamlet adds an extra layer of intrigue and fascination to the visit. It's as if you've stepped onto the stage of one of the most iconic plays in literary history.
Kronborg Castle's location at the edge of the sea adds to its allure, offering stunning views of the surrounding waters. Whether you're a history buff, a literature enthusiast, or simply looking to immerse yourself in the beauty of Danish architecture, this castle has it all.
Kronborg Castle is a historical and cultural marvel that should be on everyone's bucket list. It's a place where the past comes alive, and every moment feels like a journey through time.

There are plenty of things to do and see at the castle, if you are with private tour then you will get more time to explore. View from the top of tower is magnificent, steps aren’t that tough. Each room explains its history. Exploring the case mates below the ground was fun. Some areas are totally dark. I loved the countryside drive. Its worth to visit👍

Beautiful place, absolutely recommended. The castle is really well preserved, the whole surrounding area kept in excellent condition gives the place the right lift. It's nice to visit these places without excessive crowds, immersing yourself a little in the "part". In the facing area you can organize a nice picnic or visit Helsingborg, a characteristic town is pleasant. A word of advice, Go into the alleys the urban architecture is a fantastic surprise.

Fun castle to visit. Courtyard has lots of activities, like stilt walking and how medieval workmen used pulley systems to lift stones. Jesters, and Courtisan actors around the castle to provide interactive fun.

This is the famous castle mentioned in Shakespeare's Hamlet, Kronborg. It's only an hour train ride north from Copenhagen. If you have purchased the Copenhagen city pass, your castle entrance is FREE. The souvenir shop inside the castle has a lot of stuff on Shakespeare.
Come visit just to see the history, the beautiful scenery and ocean view.
If you have the time, the ferry is a short distance from the castle and a 20-minute ride to Sweden. The Swedish people are NICE and friendly!!!!!

The castle is spacious and pretty. When we visited, there was an exhibition Magical Ceilings highlighting their beauty. However, some rooms only have natural light and, therefore, some rooms were too dark to see the furniture and paintings well.

Wonderful Renaissance castle beside the harbor of Helsignør. The staff were very, very helpful, especially the two men dressed as a courtier and a jester.

This is a castle and stronghold. It is also famous world over as the setting of Shakespeare's Hamlet. The castle is open to visitors including the royal chambers, the ballroom, the chapel and various other sections. The staff provides a quick introduction after which one is free to explore the castle on their own. There was a lot to learn about the Danish history and specially about Kind Frederick II and his queen who was quite astute with managing the finances after the King. The castle is walking distance away from the Helsingör central station which is also where the ferry from Sweden disembarks. There are washrooms available in the castle premises.

One of the most important sights in Denmark that you must not miss. The museum in the castle takes you far back in the Danish history. Just opposite the castle there is a new Library which is also worth visiting. Helsingør itself is also a nice town worth seeing.
Frederiksborg Castle is an impressive 17th-century fortress-palace situated on the banks of Slotso lake in Hillerod, Denmark. The palace boasts stunning Dutch Renaissance architecture and features Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque elements. It now houses a museum of Danish and royal history showcasing over 80 rooms filled with beautiful furniture, tapestries, historical paintings and art pieces. The central courtyards are accessible for free along with the beautifully manicured baroque gardens.
A little bit off the beaten path, but easy to get to by train, especially with the Copenhagen Card. There’s a nice walk through the park to get there from the train station, and a gorgeous lake and gardens, too. The castle itself is impressive! Definitely worth the trip, especially if you have the city card.

Spectacular castle experience. The audio tour was informative and not too long. Bags are not allowed inside, but they have lockers available. The building is cold and quite dark, so keep your coat on. Staff was friendly. Organ concert was at 13:30 and quite cool to see. We spent 3.5 hours there. We recommend that you get there right at opening, because you can definitely use all 4 hours they were open. (Limited hours in January). Take a spare battery to be sure your phone stays charged for photos and audio tour. Keep your coat on, because the castle is relatively cold. The museum offered flashlights which came in handy. The castle store was pretty good. After we were kicked out at closing time, we enjoyed walking down the town’s walking street and getting something to eat, on our way back to the train station.

A little bit expensive, but I guess a lot goes into maintaining the castle and the gardens.
The gardens are free, so that’s great.

This is a really opulent castle and it was very beautiful to walk around. The building and its decorations were very intricate. But the museum plaques will only teach you about the portraits on the walls, and most rooms are empty except for the paintings.

The place is amazing, magnificent, with a nice, peaceful walk around the castle and the gardens. But there is a bug negative for us. Even though they have an audio guide and an app, there is so little history told in these guides. All they talk about are various personalities from Denmark and their paintings, whereas they should talk more about the great history of Denmark and of the castle. The rooms are a bit empty, filled with paintings mostly. Feels a bit like gallery.

The Louisiana Museum of Modern Art in Humlebaek, Denmark showcases an impressive collection of international contemporary and modern art dating back to 1945. The museum also features temporary exhibitions and is suitable for all ages. Visitors can bring their own food and drinks or dine at the cafeteria/restaurant. The facility is easily accessible with baby strollers and boasts creative spaces for children to play and create.
I love this place & have a membership! I have been there almost half a dozen times. Love the exhibitions, the painting & drawing area for kids (I have done it too), sitting in the garden outside or in the restaurant overlooking the sea, getting the sun, enjoying sumptuous meal with your loved ones! It’s a whole experience. Must visit if you are coming to Copenhagen. I live here but I love it so much I have a membership 🙂

I won't necessarily define it a "must-see", but if you've spent enough time in Copenhagen and you're running out of ideas for where to spend one afternoon, you should consider coming here. But only if weather is decent enough! You don't want to miss out on the sculpture garden, which also accounts for enriching your experience at the museum. It is simply way better if you can walk outdoors and enjoy admiring the sculptures and the surroundings when brightened by the sunlight. Speaking of the exhibitions, it's all about modern art, and a few creations really got my attention. I visited during the Peter Cook exhibit, which was really a "Wow!". Of course, even if you're not an art expert, you need to show up with the mindset to embody yourself in the artist and really try to understand the background behind certain masterpieces, otherwise your reaction to most of the exhibits is going to be like "What the heck is this?". You can easily spend 2-3 hours here if you're an average person like me (not really into art, but curious enough to learn something new), otherwise if art is your thing, consider taking the whole afternoon. Easily accessible by car, there's plenty of parking outside. Overall, an enjoyable experience for a fair price.

Nestled into a beautiful seaside beach with impressive landscape where architecture meets Nature.
Louisiana museum has the World class collection of Modern & Contemporary art, which draws visitors from all over the World. It is a fine museum worth visiting. Especially during Summer days.
The most memorable feature of this museum is the connection -between Inside and Outside- is carefully choreographed to maximize the sense of place and reduce the museum fatigue often occurs in a claustrophobic space in large museums.
The collection and exhibition -A. Giacometti, Modern paintings and well curated Temporary exhibitions are superb examples that make this institution impressive. Access from Copenhagen via simple train ride is clear and convenient. Two thumbs up!

My favorite museum!!! Went there several times during my stay in Copenhagen. After my first visit I loved it so much that I cancelled all my sightseeing in the following days and went to Louisiana. So many good things about this place. First and the most obvious one is the design of the whole place is stunning, including the architecture and interior design and that nice park behind the building. Everywhere is so pretty! You can also enjoy a nice sunset by the sea after your visit. Second is the exhibitions. I met my favorite exhibition by far, epic waste of love and understanding by Ragnar Kjartansson, every work of him is worth appreciated, I actually stayed in the room of “a lot of sorrow” for more than six hours to watch this six-hour-long video non-stop. I really grow on modern art here. Also, the opening hour there is very friendly, they are open until 10pm on weekdays. Love this place so much, really looking forward to going back!!!

The museum and its setting, sans the art, is an experience in itself - a beautiful small complex of interconnected buildings set upon a hill facing the sea (ok it’s probably a strait but it’s sea if you don’t look at the map). Make sure you descend down to the sea and touch it and smell it and sit upon the little pier. Perhaps even swim in it as we saw some brave locals do! Brave because the water was already cold at the end of September. But seriously bring a bathing suit in the summer!
I don’t love Giacometti, which the museum has a lot of, but did find other sculpture to love and admire there. This is largely a sculpture museum.
It is outside of (or on the edge of?) the city but very easy to get to and very worth it! In my opinion, this the most unique of Copenhagen’s museums.
My first time here I also had a great sandwich from the more casual cafe, but it appeared to be closed when I came at the end of September this time. There is a more formal sit down cafe that overlooks the sea also.

Louisiana is one of the best museums in Europe if not the world.
The whole experience you get from the moment you enter, to exhibitions and even the cafe are more than satisfying. You will see everything here from modern contemporary to classics to sculptures the museum has it all.
In order to get here from Copenhagen you must do it either by car or train. Train was very easy to get and takes around 45 minutes from Copenhagen to Luisiana.
Make sure to arrive early in the morning to avoid the queues, this place gets packed during the weekends. Allow anyway around 3-5 hrs to have a relaxed but full experience

Wonderful experience, in beautiful grounds.
Obviously the art exhibits inside change regularly so the experience will always change.
We spent a whole Sunday here, arriving around lunchtime, finishing the day with a meal in the restaurant, which was delicious.
As a coeliac there were lots of gluten free options in the restaurant.
As an art lover, there was a good mix of the classic early 1900s and modern art through the visual of video and interactive art installations.
As a lover of scenery, you would be hard pushed to enjoy more beautiful grounds at any art gallery.

This museum is situated at a unique location facing the ocean. Ajoined by basement compartments, the 3 separated houses of the museum are bigger than what u see on the surface. Furthermore, the space for the outdoor sculpture garden was spacious with the ocean as the background. You have to give yourself a good 3 hours to view the exhibitions inside out. Really like the overall setting & currations. Definitely worth the 50min train ride from Copenhagen Central Station + a 15min walk to the Muse if u could spare your time for a visit🤩.

Absolute must-see on a calm weekend day ! The train ride from Copenhagen to the small town is quick and the museum is reached fast. There was no waiting line and a friendly staff welcoming us. The exhibitions were well curated and multifaced. Calm, interesting and interactive to a certain degree. The sculpture garden is worth a visit itself ! Many paths lead you around the buildings and there are many pieces to discover. When the weather is clear you can see sweden just on the other side of the water. The restaurant has a great choice of dishes, the shop is quite big and we were able to find a nice poster in a huge collection they offer. Extra plus point that they give you a protective cardboard roll for the purchase.
It was one of the best museum visits I had so far and would recommend everyone who is even just slightly interested in contemporary art :)

Superb! Magnifique.
Must visit museum in København/ Copenhagen city!
Located quite Far from the city center, at Humblebaek area and you should also walk about 800m- 1 km to get to the museum.
I visited just last Wednesday and arrive before 11 am and it’s already very packed with people, crowded queue and wow most of them are elders. Very impressive.
The contemporary artworks collection are insanely rare and authentic. Details and caption explaining very well, the interior and exterior really pops up your mind when pay attention to the details.
Don’t forget to walking around at the backyard park which is amazingly beautiful landscape scenery that you ever seen, with the flowing river underneath where you can enjoy the view while sitting down with your meal and gazing to the art statues etc.
Definitely a gem and will be back!
And also there is kids section for those of you who visit with kiddos don’t worry.

One of the best modern art museums I’ve been to. The landscape surrounding the museum is absolutely stunning and peaceful. It’s a 40 minute ride on the outskirts of Copenhagen. Highly recommend if you’re visiting the city.

Beautiful spot to spend a day. Easy train ride from Copenhagen. I had a Copenhagen Card so no wait, transit is included with this card. Outdoor spaces were sublime, I had lunch at cafe and it was affordable and fast. Museum spaces and shop all beautifully done.

If you are in Copenhagen and thinking is it worth an hour's journey, it totally does. Do it! I go to A LOT of museums and galleries, and this one is wonderful, both content and architecture and design. Great day out. We spent 4 hours and this is only because of one gallery was rehanging. Easily a day trip! Wow!
Fantastic national park to visit and go for hike. Hike I would rate easy. Went there in autumn it was gorgeous with golden red leaves. There is couple picnic spots. Very nice view on valley when you get up the hill.
Martins Freidenfelds — Google review
Nice park, but a 900kr FINE for parking!! It is quite complicated to arrive there by bus. Most visitors drive their own cars having difficulties to find parking spots and risking to get a fine. Indeed, during my last visit, at the end of October, I counted more than 60 cars with a 900kr fine due to forbidden parking. I notice that parking signs/rules are not quite visible and clear for visitors which has a negative impact on the visitors' general experience.

Perfect time to visit there now if you want to see the colour of autumn. Very nice for a little hiking too with kids. So many leaves and so many colours. Really beautiful day. We enjoyed our time there! This is the place you must visit every season for the year, because it’s so different.

Needs a place to grab a bite otherwise it's a spectacular display of Skånes nature. Plenty of parking space, accessible with wheel chair (around the lake), stroller and if you are in no mood to hike you can drive up to see view of the canyon.

Another adventurous day in the nature, in the scenic national park Söderåsens we took the route called Kopparhatten, which is one of the flat routes though I think it was a bit hard and steep. if you love nature then this park is great for enjoyment. besides that you can also bring your food for picnic and use the barbecue area. there is a playground for the small and childlike souls.
There is a small cafe car were you can buy coffee and cakes. In the main building here you can fine information about nature and walks.
The staffs are very friendly and helpful too.
Some routes are wheelchair accessible

It's a really good place for hiking in summer. You have an option for a public toilet. You have a coffee cafe near the lake. You can also do the barbequing near the lake. You have a dedicated place for camping.

One of my favourite national parks in Skåne. Just after parking your car you are rewarded with breathtaking views and the hikes are absolutely amazing. Ranging from easy to moderate there are countless options for everyone to choose from. More of these types of parks are needed to conserve the beautiful nature for future generations.

If you love nature, this is one of the places I would recommend you to visit. Quite peaceful, calming and relaxing. The hike in some parts are challenging, but it's manageable.

Great park with great hikes. The only thing missing if there were some small shops to purchase food & water. The one we visited was closed. I think many goes to the park for one day and bring all the stuff. Beautiful view of you go to the top.

This is a must visit place I would say to enjoy hiking. There are 5-6 trails. My friend and I started from the red trail then connected to blue, yellow and orange 😁 we were so obsessed with the forest.
The Little Mermaid statue is one of the most iconic and recognizable statues in Copenhagen, Denmark. The statue, created by Danish artist Edvard Eriksen, is of a character from H.C. Andersen's fairytale.
Went to see the mermaid because it is a must when visiting the city.
Some people say it is not worth visiting because of how small it is, and because it’s only a statue.
However, I think it is worth visiting, although the statue is just what you can see in the picture, the place where it is is very beautiful, you do need to walk 15-20 minutes, but with such gorgeous views it isn’t a problem.
Karol Giraldo — Google review
Location is just Cool and pleasant to take walk with loved ones. Statue isn’t big but the history behind it is captivating. Industries and wind mills behind the statue will increase the beauty even more attractive.
Easily can spend 1 to 2 hours just enjoying the climate.

The little mermaid is one of the iconic sites of Copenhagen. The mermaid is located on the Kastellet (the citadel) area of the city, which is Europe's oldest in use barracks.
The area provides ample opportunities to take photos and I highly recommend walking the grounds to get the best perspectives.
The mermaid itself can get very busy with tourists, however there are plenty of angles to capture shots whilst avoiding photo bombers.
Greg “Wigan Wanderers” Knight — Google review
The most notable landmark of the city. It is situated in a nice park next to the sea so we had such a nice walk to reach it that day. I was not surprised by the size but quite the opposite I thought it was going to be super small while it is like human size. It was crowded but still easily approachable. I was also surprised that tourists can reach and touch the statue itself.
Predrag Maletic — Google review
I came here because 'you have to' and after traveling to multiple countries, I guess I'm used to see landmarks that are not spectacular per se. The story behind the mermaid was what initially attracted me. The statue is very simple and even discrete, at night there's not even a light to highlighted it. The area around is gorgeous and it makes the visit worth it.

I visited little mermaid in Copenhagen on 28.10.2022 and it really a refreshing relaxing and memorable experience. It is a very peaceful ambiance and park close to this place is a must to visit place. It is 10-15 mon walk from the nearest station. You will get very peaceful environment to stay there.. Highly Recommend Place to Visit in Denmark…

It's a nice walk up to the mermaid. The fountain before the mermaid is more stunning, just at the foot of the fortress. The mermaid is traditional to visit. But could be slightly disappointing.

Come early if you want a picture on your own, but this is on all the tours and near the hop on hop off bus stop. There are several statues and places to visit near here, including the Genetically modified Paradise and GM Little Mermaid. You could see the copy in the Reception of the Scandic Copenhagen hotel

It’s a very unique place and lot of tourists reach this place to see the beauty of this statue. More children are exited to visit. To have a visit we can take the public transport, can walk or can have a ride in a boat with all the information guides. I went by walking and I recommend to walk from the center so you can find everyplace while you reaching this destination. It was a small statue. Near you can find some ice cream tracks and some other food tracks also. If you have time can visit to this place or you can skip also while you planning your travels. There are some many people so if we need to take a picture with the mermaid we need to wait little longer. It’s free. No need of a ticket

To see the Little Mermaid is surely a must if one is in Copenhagen. We took a stroll down the Park to the seafront ,it was crowded with visitors taking her picture. Indeed she is really little, sitting there waiting to meet her Prince! Happy that i got to see her !

I found the statue to be quite charming and the area to be lovely for walking. The statue isn't huge, but the draw isn't the size but instead the story. Work with angles and camera zoom and some nice shots can be taken, too. I'd recommend a visit and also encourage others to explore the area around the statue.

Based on the 1837 fairy tale of the same name by Danish author Hans Christian Andersen, the small and unimposing statue is a Copenhagen icon and has been a major tourist attraction since its unveiling in 1913. In recent decades it has become a popular target for defacement by vandals and political activists.
Mermaid is among iconic statues that symbolize cities.
You can sit on bench and enjoy the view.

It's a beautiful statue based on H.C Andersen's fairy tale, The Little Mermaid.
There's more to see in the area then just the statue. I recommend walking around. You never know what is around in Denmark.
A'lan Luce — Google review
It's worth the visit, even with everyone else flocking there. But it's one of those things you have to see as it's the city's icon and should also be remembered to celebrate the works of Hans Christian Andersen.

Not much to look at, except a little statue sitting atop a rock, in some water. But I hear its a must visit landmark when in Copenhagen, so I guess it means a lot to a lot of people.
Expect large crowds at most times of the day, tons of people fighting for the perfect selfie spot for the memories. Not much else, I have to say. And, oh, mind the rocks when finding your selfie spot.
Wonder Mahembe — Google review
It is a lovely statue but oh my, so so many people taking pictures! I couldn't get close to it at all to see the Little Mermaid properly. The rocks are slippery when wet and I saw quite a few people slip. If you have time in the city, go a little later on or early, to avoid crowds.
Finailla Hackwood — Google review
It's a beautiful sculpture. Easy access by bike. There is no entry fee. it's free to visit. Even though the place was crowded, taking pictures was not so hard. This place is surrounded by water and has an amazing view. And it's very close from Marble Church.

An iconic and beautiful sculpture. Yes, the area is overloaded with tourists, but the walk out to the area is great, and goes through a large park. You can also walk through the old fort on the way. The statue will be appreciated the most by people who enjoy art.

Good for a walk on a sunny summer evening.
If there is a lack of signs on the many sculptures, Google will help you to tell the story.

Well worth the walk especially since the excellent Kastellet is right next to it. The mermaid is right by the shoreline, so easy to see and photograph. Fun, free, recommended.

Some say the statue is a disappointment due to being so small. I didn't fund it a disappointment at all and think it's a must-see in Copenhagen. Interesting history of the statue and nostalgic for anyone who grew up with Hans Christian Andersen’s original story.

Beautiful, elegiac, and poignant. Take a moment and soak in the surroundings - you won’t be disappointed. Statue is a mixture of sadness, freedom, and a sense of being trapped in motion. Brilliant.
Brennan Davis — Google review
Loved the view of people crawling around the little statue to take pictures. The mainly empty parking revealed that it was extremely quiet. I cannot imagine visiting the statue in high season. It must be chaotic.
The statue itself is lovely, but since the city is full of - in my opinion - more impressive statues, I would always choose to avoid it in high season.
The surroundings on the other hand is making strolling around definetely worth it. We sat down by the waterfront and watched boats, swans and blossoming trees.

This is a wonderful statue and very popular. There are areas to walk or cycle and the tour buses stop here.

A tourist attraction of Copenhagen. It's in a park and you can have a good view of the sea. There's a field of windmills on the opposite side. You can get a hot drink (e.g. coffee, tea, chocolate) from the coffee car that park next to the status.

Copenhagen landmark with an interesting history. We went early to avoid the worst of the crowds and combined the visit with a lovely walk around the area. There is a large park, an old fort and a long seafront to explore.
Amalienborg Palace is a royal palace located in central Copenhagen, Denmark. It was originally built in 1754 as a residence for the Danish King Frederick V and has since been used by the Danish royal family, including as their primary residence from 1814 to 1972. The palace has been the venue for many important events in Danish history, including coronations of kings and queens, state funerals, and foreign visits by heads of state.
Residence od the Danish Royal Family. Worth to visit, especially the queen's jewellery gallery. Personally I am imoressed how Queen Margrett and rest of the Royal Family are opened to the ordinary people - much more than British Royal Family. Sunday guard change is also worth to See.

Really nice area and a stunning castle. You have to see the changing of the guards. It’s at 12 every day and get packed but u can get a good view. Flags mean the family is home which we learned that today. Explore the area. You will enjoy it.

The Amalienborg Palace is currently under construction, but you can still visit. If you have the Copenhagen City pass on your phone, your entry is FREE. Just remember to reserve your spot to visit on their website.
This palace reminded me of the other European Palaces, like they wanted the same kind of vibe. It's similar but not the same on a much smaller scale. They also have guards. I think the Danish Queen actually lives on this property. There was a large photograph of her, and I recall seeing her highness on Netflix.
Suzie Kim — Google review
A nice tourist attraction in the heart of Copenhagen is the changing of the guards at the royal castle. But be aware that if the king isn’t at the castle (no Danish flag is flying on the castle roof) it will be the “smaller” version of changing of the guards. This means no orchestra accompanying the change. Nonetheless a nice experience. And a beautiful castle of course.

I ended up staying in Copenhagen for a night before travelling onwards. Decided to walk to Amalienborg and its always a pleasure visiting. Such an impressive setting and something calming about the way the guards 💂♂️ walk around like clockwork. Great setting to with the water next door and the famous Nyhavn only a short walk away
Kim Kjaerside — Google review
If you happen to visit at noon, you can experience the changing of the guards. They March everyday from their barracks near Rosenborg Castle through the streets of Copenhagen and end up at this location. While only a small portion of the palace is open to the public, it features a well organized exhibition that offers a fair overview of royal life in the recent past and palace interiors. The first floor has mostly reproduced studies of the various monarchs while the upper floor is meant to demonstrate the contemporary interiors of the palace...

Great architecture, interesting displays. Neat to see where formal events were held, and living quarters of previous royals. Saw the changing of the guards at noon too! This was a nice and relaxed visit!

Didn’t actually have time to go inside as there is just so much to see and do in Copenhagen. I did however manage to catch an afternoon Changing of the Guard, which was impressive. Note main Change of the Guard is at Midday so plan accordingly.

The Official Residence of the Danish King is definitely worth a visit. The changing of the Guards was enjoyable to watch. The exhibit on King Frederik X was very well done and even made me a bit emotional (even though I have no link to Danish culture). By complete chance I happened to see the Dowager Queen being driven into the Palace.
Christopher Lucki — Google review
Amalienborg was a fun place to visit. We enjoyed reading about the more recent royals and going through the rooms. I gave this a 4 just because I feel the other palaces in Denmark have much more history and more rooms to go through as well as beautiful grounds. If you do have time it's definitely worth a visit and if you plan it correctly you can also see the changing of the guards at noon. You will want to purchase your tickets before hand as only a certain amount if visitors are allowed in at a time. It's currently only open on Saturdays and Sundays.
Amber Webb — Google review
It was a interesting palace. You just walked in to a kind of court and around you there are different buildings. Apparently at every building around lives a part of the royal family and there are underground tunnels so they can visit eachother.
We were there when there were guards walking around so that was nice to see.
It’s something nice to have visited if you are in the area.

There’s palaces that belong to different kings in Denmark history here. And in the middle there’s a Frederik V statue. Definitely a visit point when you are in Copenhagen. But to be honest I don’t find it really spectacular. There are always tourist groups around but the place is quite big so you don’t really feel overwhelmed by the crowd
Hakan K?se — Google review
One of the best palaces along with a church in Denmark. The royal palace is maintained in good shape and restoration work is under process.
Nikhil Khot — Google review
If you like finding out the history of the modern Danish monarchy, you will find it interesting. Otherwise, it is a collection of rooms "held" in time. The outside of these buildings is quite impressive. There were a number of interesting tidbits of history for a non-Dane, and of course, some lovely jewelry and furnishings.
Linda McLoon — Google review
Built in the 1750’s Amalienborg’s four palaces, surrounding a formal square and a statue of Frederick V, are typical of the period. Rococo interiors with furnishings from the early 1900’s displayed in the museum. Changing of the guard is at 12 noon daily. There is currently an exhibition describing Denmark’s king and his family. There is a shop but no cafe.
A I — Google review
The symmetry of the palaces, the changing of the guard, and the historical significance make it a captivating place to visit. It's a must-see for those interested in Danish monarchy and architectural splendor. With that being said, it kinda looks unimpressive with all the picturesque places around.
Jakub Brzeski — Google review
What a beautiful place to visit. The change of guard and the official band put an excellent performance for the audience. Quality, pride, tradition, and military values all meet at noon at the main palace square. It's worth the visit. This is my 4th time, and I can't wait to go see it again.
Carla Klein — Google review
Not the grandest palace but very proportionate and balanced. Sheer good taste. Even the ceremonial change of the guard looks more human than in similar venues. Most if not all the soldiers were female on the time of my visit.

The exhibit for the king was excellent. And staying to watch the changing of the guards definitely made the experience worthwhile, but it’s not necessarily part of the admissions ticket for the museum.

Nice place to make a quick stop. Be careful not to cross the chain around the main statue because the guards will get angry.

Copenhagen’s Nyhavn is a beautiful harbor lined with restaurants and bars. It was originally a working-class area filled mostly with sailors and fishermen, but Baroque Architecture still pops up in many of the buildings. The harbor is one of the most popular areas in the city and its a great place to start exploring Copenhagen!
This was a beautiful place with loads of tourists as well as loads of Christmas vibes were coming from that... As there was a Christmas market as well as there was harbour to have a boat ride... With so colourful buildings.... It was a great spot to enjoy with friends and family. There were so many restaurants available over there and lots of cafes to have some snacks

A must for Copenhagen! The place has an unique charm due to the colorful old houses. Some of them are about 400 years old and in several once H. C. Andersen has resided! Various restaurants are absolutely great, however, proces are above the average for the city. One should visit the place at sunset.

This is a beautiful spot, with the bright buildings and boats along the wharves making it feel very bucolic. However, while it is very lovely to see, many of the places along here are quite expensive, even by Copenhagen standards.

The Church of Our Saviour is a stunning 17th-century Baroque place of worship in Copenhagen. It offers an exhilarating excursion as visitors can climb the narrow winding stairs to reach the top of the church tower, providing breathtaking views across the city. The church is a notable landmark on tours of Copenhagen, along with other attractions like the old Stock Exchange and the Little Mermaid.
Breathtaking view of the city from the top. It requires climbing which can be a bit challenging since there are 400 steps but it’s definitely worth it. You can climb the stairs all the way to the top. It can be very windy up there but the view is incredible. Best view of the city!

A must visit while in Copenhagen. The best 360 degree views of the entire city from the outdoor staircase. If you're afraid of heights the outside top section of the staircase may be a challenge but you can always stop at the viewing deck for some good views without climbing all the way to the top. The inside stair climb gets decently narrow at the top but is such a cool experience seeing the history and architecture up close. I was inside the tower when the bells went off and it was such a cool experience! The entry fee is super cheap and they accept major credit cards. Highly recommend you add it to your must-do list on your visit!

The Church of Our Saviour in Copenhagen is an architectural masterpiece that offers a truly unique and exhilarating experience for visitors. Its iconic steeple climb is an opportunity to conquer fears and witness breathtaking views of the city.
The church itself is a stunning example of Danish Baroque architecture, with its intricate details and beautiful interior. However, it's the steeple climb that sets this place apart. If you can muster up the courage to ascend its winding, narrow staircase, you're in for a treat.
As you climb higher, the anticipation builds, and when you finally reach the outdoor spiral staircase, the adrenaline rush is undeniable. The panoramic views of Copenhagen from the top are nothing short of awe-inspiring. The city sprawls out beneath you, revealing its charm and beauty in every direction.
While the ascent can be challenging, the feeling of accomplishment upon reaching the top is unmatched. It's a journey that not only offers breathtaking vistas but also a sense of personal triumph over fear. The Church of Our Saviour's steeple climb is a must for those seeking a memorable adventure and a new perspective on Copenhagen.

What can I say about something that everyone is highly speaking? I found the church closed, although I had an appointment to climb into the tower. Inside, the stairs are easy to climb, at the beginning, then they become steeper and steeper, reaching to vertical in last part. Then, you reach a platform from where you have a wonderful see sight of the city. The outer stairs are becoming narrower as you climb, in order to reach nowhere as they never have a real end ( and you hit your head into something hard). If it’s crowded, then there is an issue as there is not enough space. As a summary, you go up in order to have from where to come down. The main piece is the platform as it’s the place where you fill your heart with beauty. Let’s say it was worth it.

Really nice view! Maybe the best in town. Buy your tickets in advance, we tried to go on Thursday and were sold out even online. So, we get the tickets next day but when we bought it (maybe 5:00 pm) it just left tickets to 7:00 & 7:30 (the last schedules).

The external spiral winding is really nice to climb up. It costs around 60dkk per person for entry. The church bell looks really old but built really strong. The inner wooden staircase looks really old but nostalgic. The view from up top the church is magical. It's more beautiful if you can time it at the end of hour so that you can hear all the church bells ringing and echoing.

This Church has a lot of history in Denmark is a place you should definitely see when visiting Copenhagen. If you are afraid of heights I still recommend taking a look at the chapel as it is very ornate. For the adventurous type climbing the tower is a must! The price for adults is only 65 DKK and students get a discount as well. The views are breathtaking. The stairs do get narrow so I would recommend being in some physical shape and not being afraid of heights. Seriously one of my favorite places to visit.

I was supposed to climb the tower, but unfortunately it was cancelled due to the bad weather conditions.
I had booked the ticket in advance online, and was really impressed by how quickly they refunded the money back to my account.

Baroque Copenhagen church built in 1695 with a 70 metre spire constructed more than 50 years later. Climbing the spire is a great experience with fantastic views over the city. It is 400 steps to the top with the final 150 steps on the outside. If you plan a visit make sure to buy timed tickets for entry to the spire in advance.
Our Savior's Church tower contains six large bells and a fantastic carillon. With as many as 48 bells, the carillon plays its delicate melodies over the neighbourhood daily

My highlight of the trip! The ticket was worth the price. The view is amazing from the tower. Can be a bit scary or uncomfortable going up though. I would suggest getting a time slot in advance. There were many people and we had to wait for 40 minutes before getting in.

Such a cool spire and lookout point—best view of the city! I can’t find any proof that they’re related, but it makes me think of King Trident’s castle from Disney’s The Little Mermaid (and Walt did love to steal designs from Europe). This spire had an amazing 360° views and some interesting artifacts inside, but definitely not a good trip for those with a fear of heights.

Our Saviour's is one of Denmark's most famous churches. The spire is an icon in the city, I signed up the climbing tour and waited for about 40 minutes. It was really worth the effort climbing the 400 steps to the top. The views of the entire Copenhagen was magnificent, and you appreciated the wooden stairways have been there for centuries for the worshipers. A must-see for the city! Cheers!

Whether because of the adrenalin or the views, the 400 steps weren’t as many as it sounds and it was a 30-40 minutes experience all in all(including going down). It was great even if one’s not very confident with heights.
iliyana Stoycheva — Google review
Pros: Very fun. Went on a sunset tour during summer, stayed at top for about half an our. Incredible views of the city. Would recommend going towards the end of a trip so you can find all the places you have visited. If you book sunset tickets you will have water and snacks at the top.
Cons: It is very VERY high up. Would not recommend if you have a fear of heights. If you are scared of heights, a great alternative would be the round tower. There are a lot of very scary stairs and if you choose to go to the very top it gets really scary climbing the spiral staircase outside the tower.
Gregory Ipeirotis — Google review
Amazing view of the city from top, but needs you to climb about 15 floors through difficult stairs. Also by the time you reach the top, it feels quite high and windy (a bit scary as well, even though the stairs have a solid railing to prevent any disaster).
The view of the city from top is unmatched. Also the large bells and their synchronous music is amazing to imagine while climbing the tower.
We couldn't enter first time we visited due to a long wait, and next time we booked tickets in advance - would strongly recommend doing that.
Purav Gandhi — Google review
What an amazing church. It not only looks like a wine diamond and is eye-catching, but you can also climb from the bottom to the top. The wooden ladder is very thrilling, but when you get to the top, you can see the entire Copenhagen scenery. Really impressive ~
Momo — Google review
One of the highlights of our trip to Copenhagen. We had to book a ticket online because it was already sold out when we first arrived there. But the wait was worth it. The first 250 steps up were very easy, after that it got steeper and you really had to watch where you are going. The views at the top were amazing! There is a limit of people per times timeslot so it wasn't that crowded on top of the church. We really enjoyed it and would recommend it.
Notes: If you have kids or elderly people with you, you should reconsider going up the tower due to the difficult climb up. And obviously it isn't made for people afraid of heights.
Stefan Schneider — Google review
Book a time slot well in advance to avoid disappointment. Amazing bells on view on the way up the wooden stairs. Fantastic panoramic views from the top viewing platform and a further brass spiral staircase takes you even higher! Don't miss the amazing organ in the church below. Nearby Christiana worth a stroll.
Simon Kingsley-Smith — Google review
We only got to the tower since the church was close to the time we visited. Great monument, have to climb some steep stairs to get to the top where the view over Copenhagen is outstanding. Totally worth the leg exercise!
I guess one should be cautious in case of strong winds
Nick Z — Google review
Worth every penny to climb up the tower and learn about the history! The tower’s upper part is very steep and there are quite a lot of stairs so might require some physical fitness to climb
Annika Shi — Google review
Gorgeous and unique looking church. The main church itself was closed due to a funeral service but the tower above was open as normal. If you’re scared of heights, give it a miss! We naively went up on a very windy day and as someone that’s not even remotely scared of heights, it was scary!!
I can imagine it being scary on a calm day too, low railings, steps leaning on an angle, etc… the steps just get smaller and smaller until they just disappear and you can’t walk any further.
Worth it for the fantastic views from the top though!

In 2024, a special celebration of Johann Sebastian Bach's organ music is held in Our Saviour's Church. Over 16 hour-long concerts, organist Lars Sømod will perform all the organ pieces in Johann Sebastian Bach's catalogue of works on the church's famous elephant organ during the year - a powerful performance by the greats.

But there is much more to see and do.
You can climb the tower! On the outside! Highly recommended. The view is amazing.

Monumental organ inssiide this church is a must see. The view from its tower is absolutely stunning when the weather is nice. However note that tower church is closed in January.
nadia641 — Google review
The 360 degrees views from the viewing platform are not to be missed …and even more spectacular if you dare to continue upwards along the outside spiral metal staircase. Not for the faint hearted though … As it’s the same steep 400 steps up that you climb inside the tower and the same steps down … but so worth the exercise you give your lungs and legs.

King's Park in Malmo is a beautifully landscaped park with a cast iron fountain and cycling trails. It's a great spot for a picnic when the weather is fine, and there's also a casino nearby.

Kings park is magnificent & atmospheric. It's a historic & beautiful English style city park with a cast iron fountain, windmill, bridges, lakes, botanical garden, a cafe in a greenhouse, & a castle in the end. Walk a little further & you will run into a beach. Oldest park in Malmo (built in 1800s). We spent most of the day here as a retreat & thoroughly enjoyed it.

A great place for walking, running, birdwatching or even celebrating a picnic (specially in summer). Not many modern cities in the world can presume of such beautiful and forest-like parks in the middle of the city; For me, they are one of the best things of living in Malmö.

A chilling reminder of a less forgiving time where the west and east were divided, a Cold War watchtower with a history of those that tried to make there way to the west….. worth a visit. Information boards are in Germany only but the pictures tell a story. You can climb the tower for a small fee (2€ per person). 4 stars only because of the lack of multi lingual support.

The Rostock Zoo in Rethwisch Borgerende, Germany is a modern zoo that boasts of spacious and naturalistic habitats for its animals. It also has a high-tech visitor center that pays homage to Darwin's work. The zoo staff is creative and hardworking, as evidenced by the impressive animal light show they have put together. Walking around the entire zoo during opening hours allows visitors to see all it has to offer.
Amazing zoo with a big selection of animals from different geni. Also the animals are having a lot of space and the zoo has taken care of generating an environment where they will feel more comfortable.
Also, the zoo park is so large, going early to go through the whole area by evening is a must.
The price is definitely worth if as this place needs to be maintained.
All in all, awesome place, best zoo I've ever visited!

Overall it's a fine zoo. However when I was there in May 2022 and they had 2 young polar bear cubs. The polar bear exhibit was extraordinary. Very impressed. The rest of the zoo is pretty large and has a lot of stop off areas for kids to play. The food situation isn't great.

I am visiting Rethwisch Bõrgerende Germany from my hometown of San Francisco, California and i decided to support the local Rostock Zoo by visiting the animal light show. I am impressed by the creativity and hard work the Zoo staff has established. The crowd visiting the show was very light and it was easy for us to walk around the light show with our Black Labrador (€4.00) and we did fine. The weather was cold so we did not stay to late but we did get a good view of the show. I recommend a visit with your kids or family.

A great place to relax between the woords and fresh air. Its spread across a large area so it takes almost a day to cover each and every part. The most highlighting part is the aquarium which hold the polar bear. The zoo is very clean and well maintained. It can be accessed via Tram which drops directly next to the zoo.

The Zoo Rostock is a nice place, especially for children and families. The prices are getting a bit too expensive for my personal view, but still, if you want your children to have a quiet, enjoyable Zoo experience, I would definitely recommend visiting Zoo Rostock.
The Evangelical St. Mary's Church in Rostock is a significant 13th-century building that boasts an exquisitely crafted wooden altar and a massive pipe organ. The church has a simple yet enigmatic exterior, and its interior is adorned with stunning architecture that attracts many visitors. Despite the large crowds, the atmosphere inside remains peaceful and calm, making it an ideal place for contemplation or reflection.
Beautiful church with stunning exterior as well as interior. It really feels like this church shows how strong Rostock was back in the days. If you are a student, you only pay 2 euros for the entrance fee. It’s a neat church overall, but the astrological clock inside is amazing. It really makes you wonder how people of the past could come up with the idea of creating it.

This church is very special! Highly recommended. There are some decorations related to the characteristics of this city: harbour. In addition, the astronomical clock is also amazing. It has worked for more than 500 years and provides a lot of calendar/astronomical information. I like this clock more than the one in Prague. After visiting this church, I donated some money because I hope that anything in church can be maintained in a good condition.

It's not much to look at from outside. Inside it's quite beautiful but, in my opinion, still overrated. The thing that makes it famous is its astronomical clock which is unique. The church was quite crowded around the clock and monuments because of tour guides and tourists, but I guess this is a sign of its popularity. I wasn't overwhelmed and, nice as it was, I wouldn't bother to go back a second time. It's one of those places where you can truly say 'Been there, done that, got the T-shirt'

Beeindruckend.

Impressive. First mentioned in a document in 1232 and built as an early Gothic hall church, St. Mary's Church was converted into a multi-nave church (basilica) as early as 1290. The addition of the huge transept began in 1398. By 1454 the church (apart from the tower) was completed as a Gothic central building with a vault height of 32 meters. You simply have to see it. Nice place to relax. 24% salt content seems even a bit much, the 12% seemed best for floating while still being able to swimm.
The main area is a bit noisy and while hardly any sunbeds are used, most are reserved.
Great sauna area, however very little respect (from the staff) for people that don't feel entirety comfortable being nacked around others.
Also, a lot off their health claims are based on esoteric myth and/or are scientifically disproven.

Nice and silent place for the older ones. At weekends you do get a lot of families with kids in the pools, but sauna areas are still occupied by the local pensioners. Expensive food and drinks do not add charm. Salty baths are nice, but the level of salt cannot be compared to the Dead Sea. Having said that, I do not think that there are better options around unless you go to Berlin.

The salt sea (24% salinity, akin to the dead sea, temperature of 32C and inside + outside space) is a true wonder of nature (and German manufacturing, to pump the water from 1km+ below). A great experience, 2 hours is about right.

I was there both in summer and winter and I really enjoyed it. I really hate cold weather so in winter I only used the indoor pools, but some of the outdoor are also available. You can use your swimming suit or just be naked, which some people do as they use sauna as well.
Perfect for a weekend escape.

Please, do not come here. we got tricked by the good reviews but the place is quite old, crowded , dirty and the food is barely edible.
They let people in without a close number, hence after 1 hours all of the chairs are occupied , and we couldn’t sit for the entire day.
Food was a frozen schnitzel which was warmed up in the oven, makeing it gummy.
Definitely not a place to relax

Very good thermal bath. Plenty of pools with different temperatures.Very nice kids pool for the smallest visitors.
Cosy area outside with green grass and comfy chaise-lounge.
⚠️ The big minus I think is the ignorance of visitors to use dressings rooms. A lot of people doing this near the lockers where the passage width is very narrow.
⚠️ Updated: from winter 2023 even near pool areas (where FKK not allowed) some guests change their clothes near chaise-lounges, and do not even hurry up but stay there naked for a while.
So if you want to reach your locker (especially if you with your kids), you have to pass all naked people who have ignored using of dressing rooms. Usually kids are exactly on the same height of most specific parts of humans body.
I find it disrespectful. Hope administrators could find a solution for this.

Need to decide between seeing Sachsenhausen and Ravensbrück best go here. The female inmates witness stories and the building infrastructure left standing give a much deeper impression of all the horrors and inhumanities of concentration camp life in the period.
CCTV Cayak Crime TV — Google review
78 years go, after several months imprisoned in Ravensbrück, my grand-mother was delivered by the Red Army in April 1945. As a member of the French Resistance, she was denounced and deported to this concentration camp.
In January 1939, Himmler let build up the Ravensbrück concentration camp in Brandenburg, North of Berlin, the only camp for women. The first inmates - German and Austrian women - arrived in May 1939. Some 130,000 prisoners, mostly women but also men and children, were imprisoned in Ravensbrück.
In six years, Ravensbrück was transformed into a vast concentration camp complex, surrounded by satellites (kommandos) serving the German industry.
The inmates were forced to work more than twelve hours a day, punctuated by dawn and evening calls, to develop and maintain the site; they served as slave labor in the sewing workshops and electrical assembly industries such as Siemens and Halske, as well as in the arms industries such as Heinkel, BMW, Mercedes and Skoda.
Some were subjected to the medical experiments of Dr. Karl Gebhardt. Polish girls, nicknamed "rabbits" and political prisoners NN, Nacht und Nebel. They were subjected to sterilization experiments, muscle and bone transplants...
After such a "nerve-wracking experience", my grand-mother passed her grand-children the following message:
"There is no foreigner on this planet 🌍.
☮️ Peace can not be kept by force. Everyone shall contribute to achieve it by understanding"
What a heritage from such a woman 👩 who survived this part of History.

Nice Therme with 4 Saunas, a quiet area which I didn't like because it was rather uncomfy with cheap blankets and a bad smell. Beds were also not supporting relaxation in the lake sauna. The library relaxation area is a little nicer but too small. In the lake sauna, you probably always find a seat because it's huge, and you have a nice view over the lake with the possibility to walk directly into the lake after the sauna visit. Especially during winter, quiet refreshing. The other area with the Saunas was good. Here, you have a live infusion, whereas in the lake sauna, it's automatic.
There is also an ice area and two walk through showers for gold and hot water. The pools for my liking where all too cold and I didn't spend a minute in there.
Overall a nice experience but there is potential to make it even nicer and a little more comfy.

Overall very underwhelming. Kitchen closes at 7pm, food is very expensive and of low quality. The only thing that is enjoyable is the lake sauna. Rather go to Vabali in Berlin for an experience 10 times as good at the same price. Terrible lighting concept, no customer experience design.

Very relaxing place, with various saunas and pools to choose from. I was here mid March but the cold did not matter in the warm pool outside, under the full moon. I have enjoyed it a lot and plan to go back as soon as possible.
Val Gheorghe — Google review
A bit further out from Berlin, so I can not get there as often as I would like. It would be great to go once a week and discover everything that they have to offer. The saunas are my favorite, such a nice mix of options and many great programs at regular intervals.

Great idea to escape busy Berlin for a day and just relax. Easily reachable by public transportation, the train station is just 10 minutes away walking so don't be afraid to go without a car. All facilities are very nice, pool and sauna and steam baths are the best and the bistro is totally worth it!

We spent a few hours on Sunday night there and had a lot of fun at Fontane Therme. Great experience in the sauna direct at the lake.

This place is a great place to relax. You can reach the place quite easily with the train and a short walk. I s there during Easter and while it was running at full capacity, it still felt quite empty so that relaxing was actually possible. This is really a highlight since in the other options in Berlin like Vabali or Liquidrom you feel like sardines packed in a can. The employees are really friendly and try their best to make your stay pleasant. Food options in the Therme itself were very limited and overpriced, but options in the hotel annexed are okay. Overall, great experience.

The worst experience ever! The receptionist was rude and disrespectful. We only took 3 bathrobe sets but she entered 2 more into the bill without our consent. They refused to do anything when we asked for a correction, and fooled us to pay the whole amount by promising return the overpaid items to our bank account. The next day they changed their mind, said the only offer they can provide is two free sets for our next visit.
How can we still trust such a company who lied and even stole from customers? Of course we won’t visit again!
If you expect rudeness and arrogance, that would the a suitable place to go!
Museum on the site of Nazi concentration & Soviet prison camps, with guided tours.
The most haunting place I have ever been to. Some of the most horrifying things humans have ever done to each other happened on this site and other places like it. Nazism and the far right must be defeated again now as much as ever. NEVER AGAIN! Please visit this place to gain a small insight into the horrors of what hatred, right wing politics and division leads to.

Probably could have picked a better day, but the sheer scale and size is simply breathtaking… can be a bit icy and slippery in winter, but highly recommend the audio tour so you can understand the various buildings (some demolished), as well as gain some perspective on the lives of those who were interned here. Its mind blowing to consider that in the timeline of history, this wasn’t actually that long ago..

This place is absolutely worth a visit if you are in Berlin for a few days…
It’s free to entre and well worth the short train ride from Berlin City. You will not be disappointed.
A haunting reminder of how history can be stranger and more unbelievable than function…

A really unsettling place that shows you the extreme levels of cruelty humanity can reach. Very interesting to see that part of history in person. I would recommend to experience this and learn from it, to hopefully never repeat something as horrifying as this again.

Loved my experience at this memorial! The place was filled with history and if you're someone who's looking to visit one of the biggest concentration camps in Berlin, don't miss out on this spot.
kirthika vishwanath — Google review
Startling reminder of what happened. A very open and personal way to explore the camp, no fixed routes so you're free to take your time and visit areas as you like. Many, many artefacts, descriptions and first hand accounts which leave you asking time and time again how this could happen. Highly recommend the audio guides which give much more insight than just reading as you go, with options to delve deeper into areas that you want to hear more about. Not a place for young children or anyone in a rush.

Free entrance. You can rent an audio guide if you wish for ~3€.
You're going to be under the sun, so if it's summertime you might want to dress accordingly...
Some of our group didn't want to visit. But it was as "nice" as it can be... A place for reflection...
Most of the buildings have fallen apart. For example we saw the ovens only from photos and some remainings. In most of the cases it had only written witnesses or a scheme to describe tortures.
Irene Lykourinou — Google review
Free entry and a very sombre place indeed. Fascinating insight into what most prisoner's were subjected to and how they were treated It's imperative part's of the camp have been preserved so people can never be allowed to forget what evil happened here and elsewhere..
The audio tour is excellent and only 3€ per person.
Note the café isn't open on Mondays.

Definitely a must to visit when going to Berlin. The audioguides slows down the visit, it took us 4 hours to fully visit the place. There are organised tours that speed up the trip and explains more than what they show

We took a guided tour for this visit and it was really worth it. There are a lot of original buildings and furniture, but there are also things that were rebuilt for the purpose of learning from the past and education purposes. It is a sad thing to visit, but it is a must to understand today's way of life.

One of the horror chapters in the history of the World 🌎
🇩🇪German historical concentration camps are a dark chapter in human history, representing one of the most heinous crimes against humanity committed during the Holocaust. These camps, established and operated by the xxx between 1933 and 1945, were intended to imprison, torture, and exterminate millions of innocent people, primarily Jews, but also political dissidents, Romani people, disabled individuals.

Interesting bit of German history. Important to go and learn about some WW2 history and show some respect to the victims of the war. A lot of buildings were taken down, tour guide informed a lot about the history of the place. A few remains of crematoriums, soviet monument, rooms and workstations.

The memorial and museum at Sachsenhausen should not be missed especially if this is the only site of a concentration camp that you may visit. There is no admission charge to visit.
Sadly, the write-ups and audio tour are in need of some update and improvement, but seeing the site and experiencing what has been preserved is important.

This is a place to remember and get educated. It is not able to imagine how people could do such terrible things.
But it is also really fascinating in terms of organization back then!

Very impressive monument. Makes you humble and silent. What really irritated me, were some German classes with teenagers, making fun,
laughing and running in the barak. And the teachers didn't react or corrected them. Without this annoying behaviour, a must see for every person, to never forget.
Gert van der Beek — Google review
Only 4 barracks are still standing and possible to visit. The rest of the terrain is empty, you can see where the rest of the barracks were before, but that's it. However the standing barracks are worth the visit, despite only 3 of them having their content (sleeping bunks, toilets, cells) more preserved.

This is a place that requires a great deal of respect.
The ambience in winter shows you a piece of the re reality that prisioners lived while captured.
It is recommended to go on week days.
The audio guide at the time of this review was priced at €3.50.
The entrance is free
I dint believe that a guided tour is needed but you will needed at least 6+ hours of your day:
2 hours to go from the center of Berlin to the concentration camp
2 to 3 hours to explore the concentration capm (please note the amount of information you can read and acquire while visiting is immense, therefore if you are a history need this is for you)
2 hours returning.
Please note if planning to visit while on winter, daylight hours are quite a treasure. Sundown is arround 16:30 while on winter.
Remebe to show your respect and keep conversation on a low while at the camp.

Great place to take the kids and family for the day. There are many rides, an indoor soft play area and a few outdoor play areas. The shop is quite interesting, you can find quite a lot of strawberry and honey products. There are a couple of food options, all decent but nothing special. Entry is free and you pay for the rides (some are covered by the day pass, others are not, which is a bit random).

I'm reluctant to give mediocre reviews because I find it easier to categorize either pro or con. I have to make an exception here because this was actually a really lovingly designed family park with good attractions and the potential to sweeten a family's whole day. Unfortunately, out of the three hours of visiting time, we waited in line for two hours. 45 minutes standing while eating, 40 minutes on the roller coaster, 40 minutes on the swing. That's why I strongly advise against a day ticket because otherwise you have to stay there all day to enjoy all the attractions.

This place was great. Awesome place to come with the kids. You don't even have to pay if you just want to go to the playgrounds, but an all day pass is still fairly cheap. We ate at the chicken place in the back and the food was great. Highly recommend

Very nice park and close to Berlin. Perfect for spending the day with children. You have the option of buying the day ticket (almost all attractions included) or pay for each separately. There are many free rides too. We have decided not to take the day ticket and it was totally worth it. The kids had great fun and ask to visit again all the time.
The place is also a farm market and you can buy seasonal items for a reasonable price. Check their website for the season calendar. The place also has many food options.

Fun place for day out with kids, if you love joyrides and rollercoasters!! Well I am kidding - its a great place if you love sun and sky because you'll be mostly outside standing in the line waiting for your turn to enjoy a 2 min ride. There are lots of shops and stuff to do while you wait though.
I wasn't super happy buying a daycard and waiting in the line for eternity , could barely manage to take 4 rides as the lines were too long and we were too tired to do anything anymore :(

Really enjoyable place to spend a few hours, even as an adult without children. The food was good, the decorations are very well done, and the gift shops highlight quite how far you can push the fruit theme in a fairly classy way. The free entry definitely helps, too.

Fantastic place to go for a family!!
Absolutely love it. It has good food, good shopping and great fun!
We had a good time today. We all enjoyed a lot. It’s well designed and has everything.
Mini karting, mini horse back riding, Traktor riding and train ride. There are still a lot more which fits bigger kids to do.
We will absolutely visit again and I would recommend it to everyone I know who has a family.
