Hidden Gem! Such a nice location. Especially if you manage to get a seat right on the beach for sunset. The food is great. We ordered the Jerk Chicken and the Yellow fish curry and both were very good. The smoothies and fruit wines were very nice too. We had the mango wine. The array of spices they have is pretty impressive too, they seem to grow, dry and pack them up for sale too. Such a nice relaxed vibe. The owners are from Jamaica and they were in the kitchen. The staff are very attentive but easy going at the same time. Highly recommended!

Lovely foods with lovely beach view. You can watch the sunset while eating your foods. The langos app was yummy! Mahi mahi fish was delicious omg. The jerk chicken was tender and yummy. The grandma’s beef stew tasted great! Portions were big. Prices are reasonable as well! Highly recommended to visit 😍

My favorite restaurant on Gili T. A must try. The food is so delicious and good portions. I had the Jamaican yellow fish and it was so so delicious. Vegetarian options available too. Come here for sunset. They have such a nice chill area at the beach with hanging chairs. The vibe is super nice here.

This was one of my favorite places in the entire island. I loved the ambiance and overall atmosphere here. Their homemade fruit wines are so delicious and are a must try! The food was just as delicious, and the owners are such a lovely couple! Thank you for giving us a wonderful date night!

wow wow wow, this place provided a true taste sensation! Friendly staff and a chill atmosphere. It is surely one of the best restaurants on the island. The dumplings... where do I start... and then the chicken... It fell off the bone, so tenderly prepared, delicious! Oh yes, the Langos, definitely try it as an easy tasty starter. And don't forget dessert. They use herbs and ingredients from their own garden. They have a homemade wine with various flavors, very surprising and refreshing. We are curious about the other dishes, tomorrow we will go there again for dinner!

Fantastic food - the best we found on the island! There is not much too choose from but it is made with love and there are different dishes every day. It is also a very nice place to watch the sunset. Thank you for having us!

The food was so amazing that we came back twice on the same day!!! Great flavors, very good quality! We loved everything we tried but the biggest hit was their mango house wine - unbelievable!!! You just have to try it! It’s a charming place right next to the beach and they had an awesome music selection which was also a big plus! Such a cool little restaurant!

Wow, where to start with this little hidden gem on the Sunset Coast of Gili T. From the relaxed outdoor decor to the herbs and spices being laid out in the sun to dry, from the very beginning I got the impression that the food would speak for itself. Being from Miami, FL, I am very familiar with Jamaican cuisine and I did not know what to expect when I ordered the Jamaican style Chicken dumplings l, the casava chips, and the bold but delicious Jamaican chicken curry. All I can say was that it was an explosion of flavor and of course spice, that literally brought a tear to my eyes. The food was top tier and presented in a fashion of the likes of the high end restaurants of modern cosmopolitan cities like Miami, Sydney, London, Or Barcelona. I was left speechless in such a good way. Don’t even get me started on their home grown organic wines which included flavors like dragonfruit and pineapple. This is a Must go for anyone visiting Gili T. Bravo, to the chef and the wonderful staff who graciously greeted me as I paid for my meal.

Advice to make reservations, I saw the waiter turning away customer (you can actually dine at the beach ) there is table & chairs situated near the sunset beach , we prefer to be seated at the beach watching the sunset while having our dinner here . The ambience was lovely 🥰. One of the better restaurants around at Gili Trawangan . Jamaican inspire food , chicken , beef and fish was fresh and tender infused with flavorful spice and herbs .

Wow, the best dumplings in sauce I’ve ever had. Can not recommend enough. Our main course was delicious too, naturally. Gutted I only found it on my last night or I’d have definitely have been back! Incredible food at an amazing price, especially compared to what you’d pay for it most places in the world!

I would say without doubt the best restaurant, including atmosphere on Gili T Food is great and the dining experience super. Can only recommend it, Indonesian with Jamaican influences or Jamaican with Balinese influences as you wish to put it. Nice presentation, great taste and good drink's... You can put this culinary gem on whatever beach in the world and it will do just fine. Give them a try and value for money is excellent.

What an amazing place! The owners are so friendly and have so much passion for their business and it shows in every aspect of this gem. They spent so much time chatting with us. The food is next level! So fresh and the dishes are fragrant and delicious. You can taste the love and passion they put into their dishes. Just amazing. Was my best meal in all of my month long stay in Asia. Highly recommend.

Homely, authentic food with a relaxed vibe- we had the yellow curry fish and vegan stew, both full of flavour and hearty. Banana wine a must! Goes really well with the food.

Lovely place, tasty food, large plates, portions are not too big though, I'd say standard for Indonesia, good enough for a small person. They have only 5 tables, so it quickly gets full. There's wine made of fruits like pineapple, passion fruit, strawberries... kinda weird but interesting. Not my favourite. The atmosphere is really nice, definitely a good place.

My fav place on the island. All home made, high quality organic wines (about 10 flavours) and food is to die for! The location could not be better, beach front with hammocks and comfortable chairs. I could eat here everyday forever!

We had such a lovely and delicious sunset dinner here. It is absolutely gorgeous over here, and the food was fantastic The Caribbean patties were made from scratch and were better than any I got in the actual Caribbean. The jerk chicken was also absolutely delicious. The jerk flavor was more understated than what you'd find in the Caribbean, but it was all so fresh and clean. A delightful meal Oh yeah, and the bonfire 🔥

We came here 3 times because the food is that good!! The homemade wine is delightful, the meat falls off the bone, the sauces are delicious. We had jerk chicken, chicken curry and the slow cooked beef which were some of the best meals we’ve ever eaten! The Caribbean patties are so tasty as well, so reasonably priced and lovey staff! Cannot miss this place if you visit Gili T!

We also found this place on our last night. So happy we did. It’s our favorite place on the island. When we first rode by it was empty. Within an hour it was full. Warning, the Jamaican rum was strong! 😜

The most amazing food I’ve ever had, I couldn’t fault anything! The flavours we so fresh and unique, you can tell that they take such care, pride and joy in their food. The staff were so friendly, I will definitely be coming back here. The red snapper dumplings were delicious!

Casa Vintage Beach is, in my opinion, the best restaurant on Gili T! I was impressed from the start - the dumplings are simply incredibly delicious, and the beef and fish dishes are a true delight. You'll be truly pampered here! The staff is extremely friendly, and the owner personally takes excellent care of the guests. I would come back here anytime because the combination of excellent food and first-class service makes Casa Vintage Beach an absolute highlight on the island. Highly recommended!

A superb island style restaurant with excellent food and atmosphere. Everything was thoughtfully crafted from special Caribbean style menu to garden feel. Even the bathroom was an experience with a sand buried toilet seat. The patties were to die for and the home brewed wine went well with the food. Really recommended place to visit.

Had a most delicious meal on island last night. Flavourful, well presented food. Vegan pot was my favourite. Definitely going to visit again to try more dishes. Idah along with her friends cooks the food. She was very kind to have a chat and gave tips for cooking. Also recommended some spices to take back home. Staff was very friendly and attentive. This place is just amazing. The grandma's beef stew was like magic! Also the atmosphere is so discreet, good music. The best place on the island!

We stumbled over this restaurant while looking for a place to have dinner. Surely, the place is charming & nice staff but food did not have much flavor. They serve Jamaican fusion cuisine and the drinks were also mix of several ingredients with confused flavors. Also, the menu has very limited options to choose from.

Recommend: I have eaten here a couple of times, once for breakfast and one evening meal. Food is fresh, tasty, well presented, excellent selection of dishes for all to enjoy. Service could be better, the staff don't seem very attentive, may need to shout, flash your phone or get up and ask. However once you get their attention service is professional and efficient. Lovely dining experience inside or out. Last point, I was traveling with an older member of the family and noticed the floor levels change unexpectedly, the natural colours especially at night could catch you out, so watch your step and enjoy your meal.

Everything was excelent, foods, drinks, staaff services just perfect, first time we had dinner here and sitting upstairs with the sea view make everything completely wonderful. Highly recommended for romantic dinner, absolutely will come back again.

If I could give -5 reviews …I will not deny that the food and ambience is exceptional but pls your 2nd floor staff ( especially the short guy, he has no name plate in it) Needs more customer service training. Mostly, I observed that they’re responsive with typical caucasian guests. They immediately provided the menu but just because I am asian looking , the courtesy has been vastly different. I was waiting for 10 minutes then I have no other choice but to approach that waiter and he talked to me in local language and rudely handed over the menu. It took again another 20 minutes before he took the order, but I did observe that they were tending immediately to caucasian guests who just came. Plus, that same rude waiter again assuming i’m local and taking my order rudely. I have to snapped him and say “i don't speak your language” This will be the first and last for me Food and service must come hand in hand.

This place is legit! We stopped in for a big lunch after a day of snorkeling. You must try the goat tacos, pumpkin appetizer, pork belly sandwich, and fish sandwich. Save room for the Gili Nuts dessert!

Was sitting outside, area was a little dark to really see what you are eating. Overall price was acceptable as the restaurant looked much pricier than that. Also the price is nett of tax (incl. tax)

Very good experience. Awesome location, all made in bamboo. The food was good in big portions and arrived quickly. The weiters were really kind and friendly. The price is just more than the average but is worth It.

I don't think this is Tom Yum soup, but this is just ordinary seafood soup and the soup tastes too sweet, there is no lemongrass or shrimp broth aroma, For stir-fry vegetables, it's too much of an overcook. and the chicken satay was too dry. the staff is very friendly!!!

If you don’t know what Jaffels are, it is basically pressed toast. We had this for breakfast and honestly, not worthy for the price. They have live music on Mondays and Tuesdays at 6pm so for me it is more the drinking restaurant than the food one, but the fried and crispy are fine. The portion is not to big, but fair for the price. Nevertheless, the view to the sea is great and it is a nice place to watch the sunset.

Amazing atmosphere especially then live band, Brotherhood is playing 🤩 the food is delicious especially grill seafood!!! The guys who works here is very friendly. We would like to try all menu but we didn't have enough time for that 😭

Nice beachfront restaurant on Gili Meno. There’s a “New Sasak Restaurant” that’s close by but isn’t on the beachfront. When you order food, it’s actually cooked at the New Sasak Restaurant and brought to Sasak Cafe on the beach. We ordered Pesto Fettucine and the Fried Chicken Butter (name might be slightly different), which were both delicious for good prices. The fried banana with vanilla ice cream was so tasty - you have to try it! The ambience is nice being on the beach (especially during sunset). The service was a bit slow but expected.

Cocktails are OK, but small glasses. Happy Hour until 8pm, all cocktails for 50k. Fish soup tasted very good. Whole fish from fridge, we didn’t taste it

Amazing restaurant / bar in Gili Meno great for a chill night looking at the stars and ocean, enjoying a fire on the beach or again when the local band is playing. Food and drinks are made with love, fresh and tasty. Cocktails are delicious too. Shout out to Joko for his smile and good energy. You're the best my friend ! We enjoyed this place that much we came back every evening during our stay. Can't recommand more, just go, spend time in the real life of the island and enjoy.

We've eaten here (family of 4) three out of 6 nights we've stayed on Gili Meno. Service is friendly, food is delicious, cocktails are very moreish and if you are there when the Brotherhood Band is playing you will have excellent entertainment and lots of fun! The sunsets from the beach side tables are absolutely phenomenonal!

I came here two days in a row, and would come again. I thought the Chicken Gelangal and chicken heaven were both delicious. I was interested in Ikan bakar, but thought 150k for a smaller fish, and 350k for a mackerel was a bit overpriced, but was pleased with the dishes I did try. Also to my surprise, local tequila got me slightly lit which was nice with the beautiful sunset.

Really good view for dinner. Food was delicious and the fresh chilli in the mixed rice goes great with everything! The fried tofu and Tempe were really crispy adding another kind of sensation to the food. The milkshake was of good thickness, enabling one to savour the taste of the milk and fruits.

The restaurant was close to our hotel, so we decided to eat there on our second evening on Gili Trawangan. The food was really fabulous and the waiters very attentive and friendly. They even have vegetarian and vegan dishes. We were so thrilled (great food, good value for money, friendliness, fast service, lovingly arranged food) that we went there again for dinner the next day. Really a great restaurant with a nice atmosphere right on the beach. Also positive to mention is that you can order water in a pitcher (and not in a plastic bottle) and the restaurant has not used plastic straws since 2017. Really a great restaurant and thanks again for the recommendations regarding mosquito spray 🙏

My stay at karma Kayak was nothing short of fantastic. The room was comfortable and well appointed. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. The staff were helpful and kind. And the food was some of the best I’ve had in all of Indonesia. the Asian chicken salad and the tacos were outstanding. If you are vegetarian you will have loads of options. My only regret was that I didn’t stay longer.

We have just had the BEST 3 days at Karma Kayak. It’s such a beautiful hotel with outstanding service from the friendly team, we travelled with two kids and the staff were so great with them. The rooms and restaurant are stunning, with great attention to detail and I love the colour palette. The restaurant is also a highlight. My husband says the hotel breakfast is the best he’s ever had and lunch under the trees on the beach has been a highlight every day, the crispy tofu and tacos and are so good! No plastic and a sustainable focus also help to make this an exceptional place to stay. Ending the day with sunset and a cocktail on the beach is perfect. We will be back!

Dining was fine and the atmosphere was fantastic. All of staffs were kind and always smiling except one staff. However one of staff was so rude to us. He used dirty slang to us to make joke. It was not funny and my wife upset for him. We will never visit again because of the staff. Because of the experience, I feel my whole day ruined!

We didn’t stay at the hotel but just had lunch on our first day and decided to come back for dinner the next day because we liked it so much. What did we like: - the very nice servers, always smiling and super helpful - the location: far from the crowd it is a very quiet and nice spot - the reef: if « swim » out you will have the best snorkeling experience on Gili T, you can swim to turtle point and the reef is beautiful on the way !! - I had the gourmet burger which was super good ! I highly recommend !

We came here for dinner and it was really good. I took the highly recommended bluecheese mushroom burger and it was super good. If you like it cheesy than you just have to take this one! Also the fries were good and they considered my wishes. My husband has the beetroot salad which was good but the meat was a bit chewy, sines goes with the burger meat.

Such a cute place, we had dinner here several times and it was good each time. Great sangria, delicious tapas and the staff is very friendly. Nice to sit for lunch in between snorkeling (spotted a few turtles just in front!) or during sunset.

If you have a structured plan and timing, don't visit the restaurant. Cannot say anything regarding rooms and actually unfortunately cannot say anything about food. We were planning to come here for a breakfast and when we just came they denied to serve us as the have fully booked rooms. The resto was quite empty. Like only 2 tables were there. So the excuse sounded weird. Even though on the menu it is written that outside guests are welcome to the resto. So if you have plans, don't come here. There is a possibility they will deny serving you.

Very nice hotel far from the noisy center of Gili trawangan. Friendly and professional service. Good position on the beach which is a bit rocky but with the rocks shoes you reach a beautiful coral reef with fishes and turtles. Nice swimming pool with sea water. Good restaurant and excellent breakfast. Nice rooms.

I've only eaten at the restaurant on the beach, but it was really good, great food served fast. Ordered the tenderloin, unfortunately the waiter did not know they were out of the tenderloin. So the owner came up to us and apologised which in my book shows humility and food service manner. Ordered something else which was great. But I'm coming back for the tenderloin another day! Update: Been there 2 more times now in 2 days. Both for lunch and dinner, tenderloin was back. And it was great! Go for it! Also the seared tuna salad - amazing

I’ve stayed at Karma Kayak in September and after all these weeks I can’t but think about how happy I felt there. Imagine you wake up and wherever you see people smile at you genuinely and you need to walk just a few steps to a beach where turtle greets you by peeking on the surface and you sip coconut water. This place became my happy place where I go to in thought when outside is grey and -3 degrees. Seriously go there. Now.

We ate a late lunch here and it was perfect. The small seating area has a cool looking design and the two servers really make an effort to make you feel welcomed. Food was fairly priced and I can recommend the tofu curry. They have vegan options available.

In replying of what the owner said: dear lady, as I told you, when we arrived the umbrella next to us was empty. I moved my sunbed to get the shade from the umbrella I had rented. if the beach is small it is normal that you will find people next to you, come on! the sun was turning and we would all have moved: if you don't want it to be like this, cement everything and fix the beds to the ground with nails. I repeat: nowhere in the world I have been scolded for moving a bed. you turned accusingly and told us we weren't “kings of the beach”. By the way, there were three of the people you rented the cot to and they occupied double the space occupied by us, but maybe you just had a little anger to vent with some customers (I read from the other negative reviews that you're not new to these behaviors). oh I forgot: the two boys you so lovingly saved from our intrusiveness ate at the restaurant next to yours, then you rented two sunbeds for a coconut or so. It's Karma baby! We had a very bad experience with the owner, a very rude woman (not Indonesian, Indonesians would have been much more polite) who came to us without even introducing herself and accusing us of having moved our sunbed under the shade of our umbrella and in this way of annoying the people next to us. She accused us of coming and throwing our stuff on the sunbeds and doing what we wanted. She canceled the bar order for our two drinks (obviously her bill). when we moved away from the sunbeds she took our stuff and moved it giving way to other people. nowhere in the world have we ever had problems moving a sunbed under the shade, absurd. I'm sorry to give this negative review because the guys on the staff, unlike her, are very kind.

Came here several times to eat while on Gili T and the food was fantastic. Great mix of local cuisine and more western food styles. Everything we had was so tasty and to have it right on the beach as the sun goes down, so wonderful!

We have stayed 3 nights here and it was a very pleasant experience. Rooms are spacious, very clean, a beautiful garden. The hotel has the restaurant directly on the beach, in the sand, under the trees and it is lovely to have there meals because it is shadow and you have water on your feet. Staff is very friendly and helpful and they rent us also bikes and help us also with laundry. Very good quality for the money we had paid.

Im judging just the restaurant, I haven’t stayed there. Best burgers in the island! Both, beef and chicken. Cocktails were also delicious as well as pineapple crumble. The ice cream added to crumble were to die for. :) Staff was super friendly, every one of them. :) the best part was watching the sunset lying on sunbeds at the beach the restaurant provided and moved closer to the water. Highly recommend stopping by

We were here to eat and drink. The food was good. We enjoyed the kofte, sate and pineapple dessert. Because we are European we could really taste the authentic taste of the dishes. The owner was friendly and took the time to answer some questions despite being busy with the construction of a new roof. The staff was also working hard taking orders and not standing still and doing some cleaning on the beach area of the restaurant when there were no orders. Awesome food, awesome service, thank you Karma Kayak. Olaf.

We had classic burger and beer at this place. The location was nice near the beach. And calming. The food was not very special. And the price for the area and that food a little high. I payed with card. They outed 3% on top, which is not very unusual in Indonesien. The connection from the Automat didn’t work very well and they were very rood. They acted like we don’t want to pay the food till they understood the connection of the Maschine in not working. Disney even apologised. I give a 3 star because the location. But recommend to chose the other restaurants in that area 😅🤷🏽‍♂️

I wish there were 10 stars to give! The staff was really welcoming, always helpful and kind. We even received a welcome drink and wet towels as refreshment, which was really a nice gesture in the hot weather. During our stay my wife was a bit sick. The owner was really helpful, she even offered to call a doctor if needed. Thank you again so much!!! I am just sad that we couldn’t stay longer there.

Staff and quality are the main selling points here with emphasis on the staff. We went for coffee then had pizza and the pizza was great. Pricey but to be expected from a hotel chain.

The sliders were delicious and the beach area is very nice. We ordered lunch and they allowed us to lay out on the lounge chairs even though we weren’t hotel guests.

Only really good ocean view hotel in Gili Meno. Right next to ferry drop point. No veg. food here. Dont ta ke msssage here. Take it on beach.

Very quite and nice spot to hang out with your family and friends. Food was awesome, thanks to chef Wayan for making a special "catch of the day" , a five star friendly services lead by Pak Manu for the hospitality and the atmosphere you made, welldone!!

We have been here for the Wednesday movie night. The film selection was great and they also had freshly caught grilled tuna which was the one of the best I’ve ever had. Cinema by the beach is just something else! Best place on the island. The service is so much better than other places here and everyone speaks perfect English. They go above and beyond to make the experience enjoyable for all.

Come to this place only for the beach not for the food. It is mediocre and very expensive (100k for salad). Not to mention that pizza here is frozen. As for the beach it is good with very few corrals on the shore. Sunbeds are 100k for the day and very comfortable. But there are a lot of ants and bugs in the sand and they will not hesitate to bite you.

Just so peaceful and no motor vehicles on island
