Such a fantastic experience for fans of Thomas, regardless if age! We spent 6 hours here, solely in Thomas Land, going on all the different rides, visiting the Thomas exhibition and just generally enjoying the experience. My little boy is 3 and a half and he was just completely in his element. He made it on to 10 rides in total, there was a couple we didn't get on due to big queues, but there's definitely a lot for little ones and you could easily spend a day here no problem. If I was going to be super critical, I would say they could do with two staff per ride, just to speed things along a little. But apart from that, it really is a fantastic day for all the family. I would highly recommend it!

Loved visiting this place! This was my first time being able to get here and it looks as though its had a remodel within the last year or so as everything looked fresh and clean and there are also new parts of the park being worked on currently. The park is so big that I will have to come back again and possibly stay in the modern looking hotel as one day was not enough to get around it all. I'm not sure if there is an app for it but no need to check for ride times as queue times were very short and was able to get on rides in no time at all! The only downfalls are that there could be a bigger range of healthier food as I didn't see anything healthy at all, there was mainly cakes, icecream, pizza, etc... and also overheard a staff member say to a customer that they didn't think they were getting their lunch break that day. Staff need breaks!

we visited during the school holidays. lot to do for a day for kids. One day should be enough to cover most of the rides. Can stay another day to explore in detail. there was a que in the beginning to get on rides, luckily the waiting times got better as the day went and the people start exploring different activities. The food was not very great and pricey. Recommend to take a picnic. Staff were friendly. The ticket price was reasonable compared to other similar parks . we got 4 for £115. The kids were happy and had a lovely day.

We had a lovely day here. The staff at guest services were very helpful. Unfortunately, my Nimbus card hadn't arrived, but they were able to issue an access band as I had the email to say it had been accepted. There is still an element of waiting, and it is the disabled guest plus 3 others that's able to use. I experienced the medical room,as I was stung by a wasp. The first aider on duty was very helpful. The only issue I had was leaving the car park it took an hour. We were parked in the disabled bays at the back of the park, and we have never normally had an issue on previous visits, but maybe some staff helping to control the traffic. All In all, fantastic day out, Thomas land is fab for younger children we rode the Thomas the tank train to the zoo. There is a dinosaur trail and lots of animals to see. The water ride is a must ride just have a change of clothes as you literally get soaked to the bone it was 5pm ride close and 530 park close which in August is a bit early especially if you have a day ticket as you do find yourself rushing from one place to the other.

Visited Thomas Land with our two children aged 4 and 2 at Easter. Had an excellent time with great rides for the children and the staff were all very friendly. The wait times on most of the rides for the children was very minimal and sometimes there was no queue at all. There is a dinosaur trail at the end of the park at Thomas Land which was an unexpected surprise that our children loved along with a large playground so plenty for kids to do for the whole day. We visited from 10.30 to 5 and waited approx 20 minutes to get in with pre booked tickets.

My son and I had a great day at Thomas Land at Drayton Manor. Great little rides and lovely zoo. We even got some free mice pies and a money box. My son has already said he wants to go back. There was a show on too every so often which was interactive. Great day for everyone.

Great day out with the Kids. Loads to do for them. Thomas Land was a hit. The new Vikings area looked fun too, it's a bit small though and the queues were really long even for a weekday. Toilets kept nice and clean, staff very helpful, however shops are a bit pricey, you'd think with the amount you pay for tickets they wouldn't try to rip you off in their shops.

Pleasant staff, however, felt that they were under equipped on safety and felt it was very remiss. Website states rides were open until 5pm nany were shutting before 4pm. We wanted a coffee most places also shut. Its not a place I would recommend due to wait on rides and 45.00 ticket price, and there was absolutely no offers available unless booked online beforehand , but 32.00 is a really expensive day out x

First time visiting the resort and loved it. I traveled from London yesterday and the visit was well worth it. I purchased the tickets online a week before my visit and paid £130.00 for fast track including parking fees. The fast track ticket price was on special offer. There are more than enough toilets around the park, a nice variety of rides for all ages mainly for 6-14 years old who will enjoy the most and nice options for halal food although expensive. I strongly recommend you should get home made food and easy access pass or fast track pass. The queues for the rides are long and can be frustrating during school holidays. I am so glad we as a family of 5 brought fast track online tickets and managed to get on every ride we enjoyed twice. As I went on school holidays it was worth having a fast track pass.

Absolutely loved our day trip out to drayton manor. Lots of places to sit down have a drink and relax. So many things to do, literally there's something for everyone. Only downside about it is the prices of drinks and food. However the day ticket prices are of great quality. Would definitely go back again.

Very enjoyable. Had young children with us and they loved Thomas Land. The show that was put on was brilliant. Lots of singing and dancing for the kids to join in. Lots of different rides for the kids. Plenty for the adults. Picnic areas around. Parking a plenty.

My experience here was FANTASTIC!! This is a brilliant theme park! It has got everything (and more) that I was expecting. I really enjoyed my ride on "The Accelerator" and I got such a rush from "Maelstrom" that I will never forget. Truly a mind-blowing experience! I visited the zoo afterwards and saw a Tiger for the first time in my life. I was really excited about this. My only regret is that I didn't come early enough in the day, so I couldn't go on many rides, as the lines and queues are quite long, particularly for "shockwave" which I was really looking forward to, but couldn't experience. Next time, hopefully.

Visited drayton manor (mostly Thomas land) for 2 days (Sunday and Monday). We have 1 and 3 year old boys. We all loved it here. All the children's rides are in close proximity to each other... Good for little legs. My two are huge Thomas fans but you don't need to be to enjoy the park. Friendly staff, good mix of rides, plenty of toilet facilities. Sufficient food and drink options also. We got a good deal with the stay and play accommodation. Very happy and will look to return when we can.

Been Twice now on peak days and it’s been quiet and so much fun. Recently went for the Coronation Street Event. Managed nearly 30 rides as rides were open til 8pm. The Easy Pass system works really well compared to other parks and all the staff were so friendly. Definitely Recommend 👍

Thomas land was great, especially for little ones. A little expensive on food and drink in the park though. Stayed in a Thomas themed room at the park hotel which was very good, had dvd player in the room, but would not have a wardrobe next to a child bunk bed. Also catch the zoo at a better time, as most of the animals seemed to be asleep or not even in their areas. Also the evening buffet at the hotel was not quite value for money. Breakfast on the other hand was value for money.

It's a small resort with lots of character but an enjoyable day out nonetheless. We found that a couple of rides had a cue but the majority we could get on quit quickly. I loved the duplicity of the resort, as it meant that we could take a relaxing strole through the zoo area too which everyone enjoyed.

This is an excellent Theme Park, heading in the right direction. The improvements made over the last couple of years are awesome, and with a new coaster opening next year we will definitely be back!! We've had 3 amazing visits this year, the staff are lovely and there is good and well priced food, game stalls and merchandise. The Halloween decorations, The Haunted Express, Castle Of Shadows, DJ and Halloween atmosphere overall was incredible with fireworks to top it off! Fantastic days out each time.

Really good theme park for kids. Unfortunately my 3 year old was just a little to small to go on any of the rollercoasters as minimum height was 1m. But he could go on the majority of the flat rides which he loved. Thomas land was a favourite of his. The hotel was wonderful, with the Thomas rooms being a highlight. The little goody bag in the room was brilliant.

Amazing day out for children who are starting out with rides and rollercoasters (we had a 10, 8 and 6 year old). Wasn't too busy when we visited (on a Monday in half term) queued for no longer than 15 minutes. Easy for all ages to walk around. There was a 4d cinema experience, which was brilliant. A zoo to stroll around after you've had some lunch, plenty of picnic tables to sit at, even some under cover, and some places to grab food from also available (we took a picnic so can't comment on the quality of the food). Rory the Lion was out and about, bumped into him numerous times which the kids loved and he even does a disco! The only downside for us, but it really doesn't take away from the great day out, was they had run out of donuts and bubble waffles.

Always a fun day out - with Thomas land being accessible for little ones it is a great first theme park to explore and the height restrictions are decent so even at 90cm (about three) there’s loads to go on. Plus the zoo and additional play areas and Thomas train ride means there is a lot to do. We love visiting for seasonal events - there’s always good offers on just after Xmas

What a blast! So much fun for kids and families. The rides are very size restrictive. The park is worth a two day visit to make sure you have enough time. The hotel is very comfortable and well appointed. The customer service is top notch. The zoo is great. And it is worth the £20 to get all the digital photos.

Good day out with Kids Pass Park was much quieter to give us chance to have a good look around and enjoy the zoo. Que's wasn't too long which was good too. Would definitely take this opportunity again!

Great place for kids. My youngest is 4, middle child 8 and oldest is 10. They all love it here. Think we did over 15 rides in Thomasland. Even had time for the arcade. Had a lovely chocolate and orange cake 😋 partner had pasta pot. We found the playground but due to how busy/noisey it was my son who has autism couldn't cope. It would be nice to see more playgrounds in Thomas land but with so many rides we can't moan, spent the whole day here we is worthwhile. Had a lovely walk to the zoo and managed to go on the playground for the first time (other times it's been too muddy) then got Thomas to take us back home.

Had a great day but not one of the big rides where open 😞 £6.50 for a tinned hotdog.. They should call them warmdogs. Great for smaller children, they do have some fun rides.

I really do like drayton manor. Several of the main rides were not operational, shock wave was bring revamped into a sit down coaster. There is a new coaster being built where the drop tower was (sorry can't remember its name). But this was out of season on a special blue light day.

Learn to snowboard day. A very good experience, went from complete beginner to being able to control speed, change direction and link turns. The instructor Paul was great, friendly and gave clear instructions / pointers. Very good facilities and equipment.

Came this week! So no one else for the day pass of the 6 hour skiing lesson set. Adam K taught me and a family member - he was really patient and calm; a great teacher! Snow slope was good as it was steeper one end and had flat bits and a good corner. Rope system was sound but elevator could be slightly faster. Lunch was limited and basic but ok. I think it is slightly too expensive for me. There is a surprise at the entrance - a £2.50 car park fee. Make sure u bring quite a few 20p coins as the lockers require them and they’re a one use coin, so if u open the locker, you have to put a new 20p in! Overall, a great experience and will be back for the advanced ski 3 hour lesson

We visited for the winter wonderland Santa experience. It was amazing and magical Real snow, sledging, Christmas trees, decorations and slides my daughter loved it. It was followed by a stage show of Cinderella and Santa then through to see a selection of animals, hot chocolate and a Christmas merry-go-round. The show was really good and entertaining. Well worth the money and I'll happily go again !

Amazing fun day out for all the kids and even the adults too. We went for a birthday trip for the Snow fun park where there was a giant snow slide, snow area and mini snow slide and house. We had to arrive earlier than the booked slot to prepare, but also the venue was packed full, you needed the extra time for parking too. Parking is a couple of £s. The snow park was amazing, lots of fun to be had in 30 mins. We all had a great time on the slide and would highly recommend and would come back again. At the snow dome, there was also ice skating, swimming pool, skiing and rock climbing, lots of fun for everyone.

Great spot for family fun. Kids did ice skating and climbing walls, but there was also skiing and swimming fun to do another day. Aspen dinner was great for quick tasty food: burgers, pizza etc. Order on QR code and food arrived promptly.

How can it be that you're all so professional? I couldn't say anything wrong with the staff. Very well trained with customer service. I finished my snowboarding lesson, I did it a couple of times though, the instructors were so kind, knowledgeable and very encouraging. Thank you Ollie, Emily, Dean, Adam, Ben, Charlie and Josh. My anxiety is on the roof every time but my instructors were so happy with my little achievements 🤣🤣🤣 kudos 💪💪💪

Had a brilliant day today at the SnowDome. We were there with a private party (that was fantastic - thank you to the Brain Tumour Trust). The actual dome itself was beautifully decorated inside, very exciting on arrival. On entering the Christmas experience, again well set up waiting area where helmets were there for children (compulsory) and adults (optional). As the doors opened for our slot, it's was to a snowy scene and a good supply of sledges. It goes in a loop - we went right and started with the large snow slide (you go down on rings). We then pulled the children round on the sledges, although the temptation of snow was too much, so lots of stopping and throwing of snowballs! There are two smaller slides on the way round, as well as two selfie opportunities - one in a sleigh and the other in large baubles. By the time we got back to the beginning we had run out of time and the trumpet rang for the pantomime. This was Cinderella with a cast of 4, one being Santa. He was brilliant, as was the whole show. The children loved it, from the little ones, to my older ones (age 11) as they made it modern and relevant. After this you exit at the top to Santa's Village, where there are lots of animals to see - lamas, pigs, goats, rabbits and our favourite 25+ super cute guinea pigs! There were lots of photo ops, a talking postbox you could write letters and post into, plus a carousel ride. All in all this lasted about an hour and a half. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience with an 8 and two 11 year old- the only reason I've not given the full five stars is that we could have spent longer in the snow area at the start. For another visit, my kids definitely liked the look of the ski slopes too!

My Daughter has had 2 ski lessons here now, the 1st one was nothing short of a very disappointing experience, my daughter of just 8 years old was put with an adults class which was very off putting for her and left standing waiting for 30 minutes during the lesson whilst waiting her turn to go. In the end I complained due to this not being the only issue I experienced. I received a free refund and used that for a second lesson. This was much better, far better teacher and my daughter absolutely loved it. I was very appreciative of the initial refund and my daughter was very hesitant to take a second lesson. All good in the end and she is looking forward to a third lesson. We have eaten in the restaurant both times and it's a bit of an odd experience. Both times we had walked in, been noticed by staff and sat waiting and waiting until we had to get the attention of a waiter to ask for menus, foods good, service is ok as long as you are keeping eye contact with the staff for what you want. Wouldn't stop us going again as we know the drill now. All in all a good experience and we look forward to returning for a third lesson. Thank you again for the refund. We gave you a second chance and was very pleased with our experience.

Amazing Santa Winter Wonderland adventure. Everything was really good organized. One way system. Take care you are starting with snow zone for first 30 min, so is really important to not be late, after are Santa theatre, after animals and carousel room. We did not know that we can not choose the rooms for ourselves. Otherwise was great. See you next year.

Good, fun activities under one roof. We swam, climbed and played in the snow. The kids had a lovely time. All in all it was reasonable value for money.

Great place. The viewing gallery could be longer but otherwise a great way to spend a day off with or without the kids. Plenty of toilets, a dining area and a great coffee shop. This time we took the toddlers ice skating. We hired the seals for them to sit on whilst we pushed them around. There is a central rink and an outer circle to go round in. There are also ‘polar bears’ or ‘penguins’ to learn skating with and are priced per person. Note the ski/snowboard sessions come without outerwear hire. Boots, helmet and snowboard are included but don’t forget waterproof coats, trousers and gloves. The first time we went we made the mistake of not wearing waterproof and we were cold and soaked at the end of the fantastic session!

Unbelievable state of equipment! This is the worst I have ever seen! I’ve ski’d/snowboarded in many countries, some are classed as third world, this place is fourth world by those standards. I’ve brought some complete novice friends here to see if they want to join us on future skiing/snowboarding holidays so thankfully they know no better. But for me it’s utterly disgraceful & embarrassing to see the equipment being handed out. 3 out of the 6 ski boots 🎿 don’t have power straps. 1 boot as you can see has half the foam padding hanging out! And how much did this cost!

I went with my mum and sister for a day out and it was really fun and I highly recommend it. I did the skiing section so that's the part that I'm recommending you would do as it was very fun and I find it pretty realistic. One reason why I'm giving this four stars not 5 is because on the lower levels you have to hold a rope which can hurt your hands and is quite annoying so I recommend having strong hand grip. Also the food isn't the best but the drinks are really nice. I would not recommend buying the pizzas but the loaded fries are good. I found this experience very fun and brought my confidence back to skiing

Good place to visit, kids enjoyed it. However wasn’t clear we needed to book ice skating ring at extra cost, was also informed on email arrive 30 min early, which we did and then was told couldn’t go in for another 20 min. The Cinderella show with Santa was good. Parking was reasonable.

Great for the kids ...with sledges to pull and small slides and tubes to go on. Real snow on the ground and cold so wrap up warm 😁 The mini panto was brilliant and the actors and actresses made it fun for the kids...and a lovely way to warm up. The mini zoo and fairground attractions kept the kids happy and the letter to santa area was a nice addition. Great afternoon would recommend.

We as a family of four had an amazing day out at Santas Winter Wonderland. Our boy age 4 and daughter aged 2 had the best time. Our time was 9:35am on a Sunday, and we felt it wasn’t overly too busy. Just right. The kids managed to go on all the slopes and rides multiple times. They loved gliding round being pulled on the wooden sledges! The pantomime show was fun and engaging even our 2 year old sat through it all (with snacks on tap!). Wrap up warm it’s cold! :-)

Excellent place to learn or practice your skills techniques, they cater for all. You can learn to ski in a day, take coaching sessions or if you can already ski then get a lift pass at a reasonable price. Lift passes include Ski, boot and Helmet hire also.

We had booked for the Winter Wonderland as it was advertised for children aged 2-16. Our children are 10, 13 and 15. We were very disappointed and felt it was not value for money for their age group. Only one snow slide in the winter wonderland area was big enough for them (others were aimed at much younger children) and there were so many people going on they only got 2-3 slides. The panto was OK, about 20-30 mins. Santas village was disappointing. The animals are cute but the carousel has a sign next to it saying height restriction and all three of my children were too tall to ride. When I complained to the manager at the end she said "sorry you didn't enjoy it, everyone else seems to and comes back year on year". I did explain that I think it would be very good for younger children but recommending for up to age 16 is not ideal. If if had at least included ice skating they would have been happier but that would have cost us an extra £70+ on top of the £150+ we had already spent.

Recently went to the winter wonderland experience with my 8 year old son and had a fantastic time. He loved it. Food in the restaurant as well was excellent. We also did swimming whilst there!

Visited yesterday it was so lovely. First time visiting Tamworth Castle and it has always looked great and solid from the outside, for just under £10 an adult (for a ticket you can keep using throughout the day) I thought this was a really great experience. There is a lot of interactive stuff which is great for kids and adults. It was just me and my partner and we had fun using the shields and playing the games etc. The staff were really nice, couldn't fault them at all. There is a little gift shop which is nice where you can buy bottled drinks as well. There are toilets as you walk through which were super clean! Had a great time, would definitely come again!

Thousands of years of history just in this one place the stories this castle and grounds could tell . My girlfriend and I have experienced quite a few paranormal things walking the grounds at night . The bridge in the summer time at night is alive with bats feeding and the grounds with Owls and foxes .

Visited today for the first time and will definitely be going back again. Our 8 year old son absolutely loved every minute, and we did too. Very friendly and welcoming staff, fascinating history and so much to see and do. The bonus for our son was the numerous interactive displays and he got involved in dressing up and did some brass rubbing. The story telling was wonderful too which he really enjoyed.The views from the top of the tower are stunning, the climb up the steps is definitely worth it. Fully recommend a visit, you will not be disappointed. Easy to park nearby (we used the Jolly Sailor car park) and lovely walk through the castle grounds near the river with a brilliant play area for the kids. Lovely day out

Visited yesterday and really enjoyed it, very well preserved, steeped in history and a lot of information boards , rooms dressed in various period styles and many interactive areas for children where they can dress as a Knight etc. One way system to follow which is great as you don't miss anything. Great 360 degree views from the rooftop. I just wish the dungeon had been open 😪 No hesitation in recommending

Well worth a visit. Steeped in history and plenty to see, the castle covers a range of historic periods; Tudor, Victorian, and Georgian, as well as Viking/Anglo-Saxon. Lots of stairs and quite a steep bank up to the castle so not really helpful for anyone who is challenged in their walking. Some interesting interactive activities and very interesting for youngsters. Not too expensive either.

Large grounds around Tamworth castle. It is always busy here when the sun shines or there is an event. The grounds extend to a large play area with a very large playpark for younger children that is also very busy. You can head out over Lady Bridge for longer walks which are far quite other than the occasional fisherman.

Not been for years even though we live local. Very well organised, staff very polite and helpful, wonderful experience for ourselves and our visitors from Norfolk. Highly recommend to all.

A friend and I had a recent day out here a few months back and it was brilliant. Whilst walking around the castle did not take all day, it was still a fantastic time. Despite being less "flashy" than some other castles across the Midlands, Tamworth is still packed with history and there has been some serious work into packing so much into the space. The whole experience walking around was immersive with displays, interactive sections (adults and children!) and very knowledgeable staff! You get to see some real bits of history up close in this fantastic castle. We came on the bus from Birmingham, with only a short walk from the bus stop. After a few hours exploring the castle we settled on the gorgeous grounds in front to eat a picnic lunch from various street food vendors. I absolutely recommend this for anyone wanting to do something different on a day out. Extremely good value for money and if you're interested in history, Tamworth should not be overlooked!

Amazing place to visit. So much to see and learn. If you have children it's a brilliant day out with how they have it set up. Ticket prices are reasonable and parking is very close by. Cafe at the ticket office and a small shop at the castle entrance

My family and I had a great couple of hours in this castle. The castle seemed to go on forever, each room had one or two information boards. Many rooms had activities for children, including dressing up, interesting games, colouring in sheets, and an Easter egg hunt with a prize at the end. Maybe worth buying tickets in advance, we paid £54 for 3 adults and 4 children. One of the best castles we've visited. The surrounding area was lovely too. A really good play park, an outdoor gym area, bowling green, tennis court, ping pong tables, pretty gardens, community centre type building, skate park, and all day parking at only £1.50.

Always something to see at The Castle, great that so much more is being done with it now, an iconic treasure for the town! So lucky its owners were on the ' right side ' at the end of the civil war or there would just be ruins......never fails to impress, whatever view you see it from....I really love looking at it from Ladybridge and Ladymeadow....but it's imposing from the entrance!

I love this little castle. So much so we got married in the great hall. It was a beautiful ceremony with medieval rustic charm. As a historic place to visit, it is really good for families, although due to the era it was built, it is not very accessible. Lots of worn stone and wooden steps, and not forgetting the steep motte, or hill, that it is built on. The castle is excellently preserved though, great historic decor from different periods, and some brilliant exhibitions. Good toilet facilities and a nice little cafe downstairs. Don't forget to ask the staff about the resident ghosts 😁

Such a unique castle with it being true to its motte and bailey norman footprint. Little expansion beyond that, it gives you a feel to how an original motte and bailey castle was. Albeit upgraded into stone and several internal additional buildings from different eras. Beautiful castle, wonderful gardens and a lovely town full of good folk. 👍👍👍

Such an amazing farm with lots to do for the kids. Animal farm was quite well organised with different activities at different times. Good interaction with the farm Animals. Nice little activities like tractor ride and stroking the animals. The play area right next to the farm just adds on to the experience. Massive structure with lots of slides and different challenges for the kids. Adults can accompany kids as well. Can easily spend 4-5 hours in total.

What a great place to visit for the whole family. A thoroughly enjoyable experience with lots of farm animals. Feeding the goats and rabbits was definitely a highlight. The tractor ride was a great touch and the place is signposted brilliantly to give you the best experience. Will definitely be back in the summer to enjoy the outdoor play areas and take a picnic and enjoy the great outdoors. Highly recommend this place for a visit.

Lovely farm, my daughter loved it. Loads of animals to interact with and feed. All well looked after as well and the staff was so friendly and great with the children. Parks and cafes on sight as well as a gift shop.

We had farm-only tickets and had an enjoyable day out - great for the kids and lots of animals to see and feed. It was Easter holidays so we visited the Easter bunny in the barn (allergy suitable chocolate provided!), fed the lambs, sat on a pony, saw the chicks and ducklings and got an egg, and went on the tractor ride. Highly recommended!

An absolutely fantastic day out! Definitely worth the money, my son enjoyed it very much and all of the activities that were availiable around the farm. The staff were absolutely amazing and so friendly, my son even got some sweets as a thank you for being a good animal carer. No wait as we booked our own time slot and would highly recommend any parent buying the comboi ticket so the kids can play in the big play barn too. Strongly believe that this place is worth more than the admission prices charged. We look forward to coming again soon!

We had a fantastic time at Ash End farm. It's a great place to visit with kids. There are loads of animals and lots of chances to interact with them. It's been thought out really carefully and the staff are great. The soft play area is really good, with lots of distinct areas for the kids to play in. The cafe there is nice too, with good coffee and friendly staff on the counter. It is expensive to get in, it cost us about £40 with one child. Theres a really nice area where children can hold a chicken and give it a pet and then collect an egg after. If you're lucky you'll get to see eggs hatch in the incubators. Theres is also a tractor ride that's really good fun too. I would say it's pretty wheelchair and pushchair accessible. There is easy access to toilet facilities as well. All in all I was very impressed and will definitely go back with my family in the near future. My only word of warning is don't get too close to the geese. You'll hear them before you see them. They are absolutely psychotic and filled with rage.

Lovely place to visit with the kiddies..top indoor soft play area (the barn) & if you book before 9.30 the kiddies can play there before they visit the farm...can easily spend over an hour as theres lots to do, lots of slides, big jumping pillow (outside so will need coats especially in the winter!) & a perfect little corner for under 2s..cafe offers hot/cold beverages...(lunch menu available only after 11.30 so we had to settle for the vegetarian sausage batch but was delicious), the farm was a fun part too and the kids loved feeding the animals, tractor ride & taking an egg home!! Only thing I'd suggest is that even though the animals were under a shelter it was still freezing cold so be sure to wrap your little ones up in layers as it gets pretty cold!!! Lovely day out...would definitely reccomend it😊

We had a fun visit here recently. Our little boy enjoyed the animals. They seemed happy, clean and in good condition. The cafe was a bit slow but it was OK.

We arrived early so the little one had a great time in the play area while we waited. Son really enjoyed running around although he's a bit young to really enjoy all the animals, so we'll return when he's a bit older. A member of staff who was mucking out stables, took the time to play peek-a-boo, which made his day. Lovely touch that we really appreciated.

Came to see the shire horses, and was not disappointed. Lovely big stables with various horses, two young ones too. Plenty of other animals to see, sheep, cows, chickens, ducks, pigs, plus birds of prey centre. Various birds, from kestrel, owls, buzzards. They also fly them, to see them at their best. Tractor ride around the paddocks if you fancy it. Picnic area, and gift shop. Plus mini beast centre, with lizards, spiders etc, very interesting. Ample parking, and a brill place for a day out.

Been a few times in the last decade. Continues to grow from strength to strength. Went to a birthday party there recently, including a tour of the farm before soft play and food. Brilliant time had by my boy.

Great few hours out with family/kids. Nice array of animals, all friendly and willing to be stroked. Nice list of activities that are repeated every hour so you can get them all done. All animals and enclosures look really well kept. Thoroughly enjoyed the day.

Lots to do and look out, with things evenly spaced out so it's not too much for little legs! Kids enjoyed the 3 playgrounds, and the guide was very friendly and enthusiastic

Lovely dayout equally enjoyable for kids and adults. But there should be some activities for adults like pony riding, animal feeding bucket etc because adults are paying the same rate of tickets as kids

We visited the big plat barn. Spent 3 hours there - weekday 2 adults and a child for about £10! Bargain...plenty to do and our boy liked the bouncy pillow. One slide was closed but all in all a good place for kids!

Farm is spacious with a wide range of animals to see - animal feed is given in buckets and includes carrot sticks which we loved. The activities they have on all day differs so there’s always something to do. Tractor ride was brilliant.. indoor play area is fantastic, clean and accommodates busy periods. The food is amazing and portion sizes are well priced. Disabled parking is easily accessible.

First time here, took a disabled chap. I was quite impressed with Ash End Farm. The animals appeared well cared for and they were friendly. There seems to be lots for kids to do too, and despite being a farm, it was very clean. Wheelchair friendly also. Good parking. There is a small shop and a cafe.

Instructor was barely understandable in the briefing. Toilets were disgusting. I couldn't fit in my kart. Went to complain. They had left a smaller seat in probably for a child before me. It was a shame it got dark and the road got wet. Felt like an ice rink. Overall though, the racing itself was a long session and fun. Good management of race and nice to see stats. A fun event overall.

These guys are racers and it's easy to tell. Probably the only company that has advised us to have smaller grids in the interest of kart parity rather than having as many drivers on as possible. The venue is really well laid out and has just about everything. Commentary during the races & post race driver interviews was a really nice touch. Looking forward to our return visit now.

Visited as a group to surprise our boss. Did private track hire for 15 people and we all had a great time. Podium and trophies at the end were great! Email results of the race and fastest lap times so we could all see how we did.

Staff were friendly, just feel it felt cut short after a 30min session turned out to be 14min. I understand the need for time for everyone to have their safety gear fitted correctly and doing brake checks before each one is let out along with the track being on yellow flags until everyone is out. I believe they’d said it would be 20min on the track, which was already a 10min drop. But once all the karts were out and lights on green there was 14min remaining of actual track time.

For our 13yr year old who is absolutely mad about Go Karting this has to be the best event/entertainment yet. Impressive and a good set up. Staff, food and all involved were fantastic. He will be back!!!!!!

Everything about this track is fantastic - I went a couple of weeks ago first time and have been a couple of times since. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, everyone is smiling from the bar staff to the track staff and marshals. The karts are very well maintained, both DMAX and N35 all seem to be equal, the track itself is high speed but technical and really fun. This is now going to be my regular track and I’ve been telling everyone how good it is! (Oh and btw the loaded fries are actually AMAZING if you want a post race fuel up)

It's really a pleasure to see how Daytona staff manage to keep things going under these restrictions and do it safe. Every time we visit, the experience gets simpler but is as rewarding for the little one. There is no better way to teach kids to drive. At the end of each event, you get the stats... if your child is not the best (like mine... ISN'T) you can always think of these in terms of last visit's and work out improvements... a bit of a "race against yourself" kinda' thing. That way, if they race against themselves, they can't lose...

Took my son for the juniors karting on a Saturday morning as he was showing a keen interest when we had been a few times with family. All started of well & seemed organised. Kids taken to watch safety briefing which I sat in with my son for and seemed that safety was a priority…. Well… that’s what I “thought” we all know motorsports is at your own risk, however you expect the other people to be adhering to this also and if not they are dealt with by staff. Kids got on the race track no issues here but it then became apparent that the older kids of the group (all suited with go pro’s on) didn’t believe the safety rules applied to them. Kids going off track and lights going on to say half speed or slow down no overtaking and these kids were still firing round the track overtaking which resulted in my son getting a massive whack in the back as he was naturally adhering to the rules and slowed down - just not on. Rules are rules and if not followed the people should be taken off. There were more staff ready to make you a coffee than there was on the track making sure the rules were followed. There will most definitely be a more serious accident here if these kids are not dealt with in the correct manner & more staff on the track. Totally put my son off a once keen interest- such a shame.

Had an absolutely fabulous day today with me and my 3 family members for women’s day. First day at this place and we were amazed how professional and friendly the staff was. The gentleman who gave us the briefing also accommodated for our change of headscarf in a private place. I booked for us 4 and there was some confusion with the booking as they only booked me 1 place but as the staff was so nice they tried their best to get us the 4 places we initially asked for and luckily there were the last 4 places available. Thank you Daytona team 😊

We booked the track for a full days endurance race. Can not speak highly enough of the staff on the day. Everyone really enjoyed themselves, the 2 strokes karts were an absolute giggle and its a good, fun circuit. Thanks again!

Fun experience and the best go karting I’ve ever done. Really enjoyed the complete circuit. We were provided we great riding gears and proper instructions were provided. Definitely recommend this for a great outdoor activity.

The House and Gardens are easily accessed and have plenty of parking from the main road. The gardens are worth a walk around in them selves and the small courtyard shopping area is great for coffee and food as well as local artisans. You can easily wall from here to the RSVP reserve at Middleton Lakes and enjoy the woodland and lake walls. Everything is relatively good for wheel chair and disabled access

Fascinating house, amazing story of its rediscovery after falling into neglect and subsequent (and ongoing) renovation by a team of gifted volunteers. Includes a wonderfully eccentric museum commemorating Robert Peel packed with more info and police memorabilia than you can shake a baton at. Cracking tea room too, and close enough to the RSPB reserve to double your fun.

We enjoyed our trip to Middleton Hall and gardens. It is run by an independent charitable trust and is £7 to go in. The building has been added to over the years and I found the Elizabethan half timbered bit the most attractive. There are not a lot of contents but the structure of the building is great. There is an Edwardian, I think part where weddings are held. There is a Robert Peel museum which was fascinating. The curator was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions with lots of interesting facts. The grounds are lovely with some beautiful old trees and the walled garden is beautiful too. There is a lake and a nature walk and there are things for children to do too. There is also a craft centre on site with an antique shop, yarn shop and others. Not a bad couple of hours out. We enjoyed it 🙂

What a lovely place I had never heard of it before but there was a Vdub show there so we decided to visit . I am so glad we did it was so reasonably priced to go in but it was beautiful . It has so much history attached to it and is run by a charity and all the work and restoration has been done by volunteers . Plus it has a Peel museum inside dedicated to the family of sir Robert Peel . And John Ray one of Britain's first naturalists lived there . Amazing place ,the gardens are beautiful ,the cafe is lovely and again very reasonably priced well worth a visit a hidden gem .

Nice historical place. Impressive doll house within, great Peel's exhibition. Amazing colorful gardens. Great and kind staff. Nice for afternoon out with kids or without. Few craft shops in yard as well as nice Caffè.

Plant weekend. I think there were more of the gardens and the lake that I missed today. But the plant sale had some really different plants. The topiary animals were really cute. And I really liked the ram. The forget and fused glass art was also an interesting addition. Next time, planning a trip to the tearoom too.

My husband and I had our wedding reception here. The hall is so beautiful and spacious. Coordinator Joanna was amazing every step of the way - she accommodated our every request with such enthusiasm, we had the most wonderful day. Thank you!

Kids really enjoyed the Spooky Trail. Well thought out for Halloween, kids wondered around the beautiful gardens looking for clues. Trick or TREAT? Stunning place with lots of history. Would recommend to family and friend's. Thank you!

Very disappointed with my first visit to Halloween at Middleton Hall. The time stated 6 till 9 and we would HEAR stories from centuries gone by. I was expected characters to be more interactive. I will not attend Halloween event there again. I felt £16 for me and my friend for 45 minutes was too much. I have been to other events for less cost and longer entertainment

We recently had our evening wedding celebration here. The venue was absolutely perfect for us! Steve went above and beyond to make it a truly special day. We will certainly be back to visit the hall and gardens as it’s a beautiful historic hidden gem! Highly recommend having your party here or even visiting for the day with family and friends as they also host small independent shops in a lovely courtyard.

Absolute gem of a place. None of that corporate feel you sometimes get in other country houses. The volunteers were knowledgeable and friendly and you could feel the love that has gone into it's restoration over the years. The gardens are just lovely. There are small artisan shops and a cafe in the old barn. One of the nicest places I have visited

Have had this on a list of places to visit for some time, and finally got to Middleton Hall on Saturday. We were not disappointed. The Hall is fascinating and the work done by volunteers to restore it after it was left derilict is tremendous. The walled garden and nature trail were good, and we will come back and see them next year when everything is in full bloom. The courtyard is a great place for craft shops and there is a good menu for meals and drinks. Middleton lakes RSPB nature reserve is about 300 yards away, which we didn't have time to explore and shares facilities with Middleton Hall. We will definitely be back next year.

It was so lovely to see such a magnificent home up close. Although not open today I still really enjoyed the views I had, I’ll be attending an open day. It’s such an old building, as is the barn or Courtyard buildings. Coming from Australia the age of buildings in the UK is amazing! Cost in £9.00

What an amazing place .loads of history .wonderful gardens and lovely walks. The staff were exceptional and really friendly and helpful, we had wonderful food and drink in the courtyard exceptional value. Will definitely recommend and return again

We visited the play barn after visiting the farm, we had to wait a while to get in as there was no one on reception but when we were greeted the person was very friendly and helpful as our daughter was asleep we asked about the time limit and was told not to worry and we can stay in as long as we wanted. Welst we waited for our daughter to wake we discided to order some food for lunch we had a pizza and some fries to share and two bottle drinks, unfortunately the food was a big let down and not worth it more like a frozen pizza your better off saving your £12 and order a pizza at home, When it says food is made fresh I took it as made "fresh" but o well you don't go for the food and its a child's venue so for the kids i guess it would be fine. On to the main event there is so much to do and it's all age appropriate in each section witch is good, my daughter loved it all even the non appropriate areas the big slides and the huge bounce area it's all good fun even us adults even enjoyed it. Overall it was a fun day and was enjoyed by all yea the food was a let down but like I said before for the kids it's fine.

Lovely family day out. I love the layout of this farm, it's very nicely set out with attention to detail. The play areas on the farm are great for the kids, lots to keep them entertained. Timed events such as feeding the lambs or sitting on a pony. We didn't take part in this as our little one is a bit too small. But if you do manage to do the timed events, I would say it's well worth the price. Saw some lovely piglets, chicks and lambs. The bucket of feed is a nice touch. The toilets definitely need a good clean! I was a bit cautious as we were warned about some people being ill with E coli after visiting the farm, so that made me a bit less relaxed and much more aware of washing hands. Overall a good visit. I just feel the price is very high for a family unfortunately.

Brilliant play centre/soft play for the kids. Also has the farm adjacent, so you can book a dual visit or separately. Nice open plan, very secure and safe. Plenty to do, indoor and outdoor, including the giant bouncy pillow. Kids loved it. You have to book in advance, for a 2 hour time slot, Definitely recommend!!

This place is not as well set out as other soft plays we've been to. I think it is more geared up for older children, say 4 and above. There are only a handful of spots for the really small kids, up to about 2, and then there is a gulf between 2 and 4 where the big stuff is just too big, and the little stuff too little. There are also several areas that supervising adults can't easily fit into, like some of the stairs areas, which makes it easy for the sprogs to get away and out of sight. There are then areas that can't be seen from most places, and some ladders and tall drops, meaning that if the child does give you the slip, it's not ideal. This doesn't mean it's a bad place, just we won't be returning until our wee one is a fair bit older as it's too stressful and not worth the entry fee at this age.

What an Brilliant place to bring ur Children to. They have a farm that let's u handle little Chicks they also give you a Tractor ride around the grounds. Easy to get to off the main Tamworth road on to a Small lane. Middleton Lane, Tamworth B78 2BL, the United Kingdom. Now there's lots of parking all on a flat surface. Now at the farm there are public toilets as well as in the indoor play area. Gift shop next to farm a place to eat ur picnics. You can also buy food in the play area. Wheelchair users can get around with ease also pushchair users will find it easy.

Took my 8month old boy who loved the baby play area in the the play barn. We did free baby morning meaning it only cost me the price of a coffee! Will definitely be going back 👍

We spent a few hours in the play barn and the littleuns loved it. Lots of places to explore for all ages, with slides, bits to climb, bits to bounce on, etc. A large outside trampoline / blow up bouncy thing was a bit hit in the outside bit, and lots of seating for tired parents!

Great place for the kids.. plenty of things for all ages of children to do. Hot drinks great, food fabulous staff all lovely.. not first time and won't be our last time coming here.. always worth the 30mins drive ☺️

Positive changes have been made. Friendly relaxed and not overfilled. New areas outside are good with what appears to be more coming soon. A great trip.

Attended during the Easter break! Great venue with lots of fun activities for both parents and children. Reasonably priced Great customer service from the staff and the food service team. I would definitely recommend and I will be coming back during the May holidays.

We visited The Big Play Barn last weekend over Easter term break. Not from Tamworth so had no idea what to expect. We bought combo tickets for the day, family of 4 plus 3 and 5 year old. We had a great day loads for the kids to do Softplay the farm and animals were so much fun. The staff were very helpful. We came away after a thoroughly fun day tired but with warm hearts. ♥️ 🐥🐑🚜

I always think it's dealing with mistakes that sets a company apart. They will always happen and the less the better but when they inevitably do how the staff turn it round to make it up to you makes a massive difference. And the big play barn did that brilliantly. We had an excellent day and would happily book another party here. The kids loved every minute and the food was so good they were determined to finish it before they went back into the play area!

Today was my 5th visit, it's a lovely place, the baby day time deal is great although I think should be capped at 18-24 months instead of 12 months as babies up to 18 months still will have very limited use of areas. Delighted to see staff cleaning so much today, all the soft play areas were cleaned and other play areas being vacuumed too. Food again really tasty and we're happy to heat baby food which is helpful. Definitely be coming back.

I had a great time at the soft play and the farm as well. The location it's just gorgeous. We organised my son's birthday at the Big Barn and everything was just perfect, the service, food, timing and handling of the party were just perfect. The kids had a lot of fun, the place and playing areas are clean and diverse. I will definetely go back, thank you all for everything.

Big play area with lots of things to keep the children entertained. Very clean. staff are always visible and empty tables are quickly turned around. We tend to visit during term time and it's perfect for my 2yr old as its not over crowded. Would highly recommend.

Great fun for the kids, staff were all happy and willing to help. Cleaners walking around frequently keeping the place tidy. Recommended for the kids to have fun and be sure, they'll be tired after this!

Great variety of habitats and birds to see. The path through the woods is not wheelchair accessible, but the most other areas are. I do think the woodland area could do with an updated hard/flat path with suitable drainage (or even a boardwalk), considering that the only way to the other areas in via the woodland (-1 star for limited accessibility) There is a little shop near the car park. The person working there on Sun 11 July 23 was fantastic.

This is truly an amazing place. I visited it on Easter Sunday and was greeted by the wonderful staff, full of life and information. If I wasn’t a member before, I would have definitely joined there and then. The place itself. Stunning views, lovely walks and plenty of birds. The air was full of birds singing, just what you want to hear. Beautiful.

Middleton lakes is a great place to visit for a few hours. There are plenty of walks to take. It's a brilliant place for children to be children and get dirty and have fun. There is a forest area to build dens and benches dotted all about. When we visited there was wild garlic growing everywhere. There is a cafe and toilets at Middleton hall you can use too.

Visited on the opening weekend of the play meadow, friendly volunteers around to explain activities and available walks and wildlife. The play meadow is made up of a few fun things for the kids, mud kitchen, pond dipping area, slide, instruments, gravel tip and pour area, picnic benches, wooded area - overall lovely. Then of course there are the lakes!

Really nice place for a wander, with the chance to see interesting birds too. There are Bittern there, which we heard booming last visit, and always something interesting.

Really enjoyed RSPB Middleton Lakes. Takes around 3 hours to walk round if you take your time and stop at different places. Some really lovely trails encompassing many different habitats, from River to Woodlands and of course a very large wetland area. Not forgetting the meadow at the end. Really nice variety of Wildlife to see, personally nice to see the Nuthatch and Dunnock. Unfortunately didn't see the Barn Owl I'm the meadow. Trails are nice and easy to do not too muddy either with the exception of the meadow trail which has some very small muddy bits. All in all a great place to have a walk and see some wildlife!

Such an amazing place right on my doorstep. Having took up my obsession of birding again am so happy to have this place within a ten mins of my doorstep.

Great place to walk & one of our favourite walking spots, vast skies, wildlife and a fairly quiet place....you have space! Beautiful!

Lovely walk, when you are not swarmed by uncontrollably screaming kids and careless people with dogs on long leashes... For those with consideration, it is very nice countryside and a great place to escape .......... 🫶

We love going here! Quiet and peaceful area to walk and observe nature. Yesterday we attended a fungus foray by Wild Beverley which we found to be informative and fun. We enjoy that events like these are offered here. Volunteers have always been nice and helpful. Parking is available, picnic tables, and a small shop where you can purchase drinks. There are no toilets on site but there are toilets at MIddleton Hall Courtyard along with a few shops which is within walking distance. You can also purchase RSPB memberships on site!

Middleton Lakes is a great place to while away a few hours. That are some lovely walks around here and the place is teeming with bird life, it is a photographers paradise. There is always something worth photographing whatever time of year you visit.

Great place for a walk out and to listen nature. Perfect with a packed lunch. Plenty of places to sit and rest or take in the views. We spent a couple of hours and didn’t make it half way round. Kids were enjoying it. Visited over half term and was very quiet. I’d expected to see lots of families but sadly this wasn’t the case. Lots of walkers and bird watchers which was nice to see. Will be back with the lunch bag next time!

Great place for a walk. Lots of birds around (& squirrels!) The nearby cafe did lovely sandwiches and coffee too.

It’s alright here. It can get busy but that’s because of its ease of access and central location to a lot of local towns and even cities. It’s much easier to navigate than say Birmingham. Although there’s pickets of shops. Which is a little odd. It doesn’t flow like you would expect or want it to.

Loads of choice. Parking was a bit of a nightmare, wanted a mother and child space but they didn't have a designated area for this, they are mixed in with the disabled parking. Would love a retail park like this in Leicester as it has pretty much all you would need in one place.

All the stores are very clean and lighting bright, only drawback is the car parking and roads around the retail area. Usually queues to get into car parks and then problems finding a space, the easier you get there the better the chance of a space. Do not think road planers anticipated the popularity of the retail park, buses add to the problems, as bus stops are opposite each other and at this time of year, hectic.

One of the best out of town shopping centres in the Midlands. Great range of high street stores with plenty of parking. Shops range from supermarkets to a fabulous Marks snd Spencers, furniture and home wares to clothing, pet stores and electrical. Plenty of fast food options too. Can get very busy at weekends, is open late which is much quieter.

Out of town shopping that has killed the town centre. The road layout in and out is terrible, especially when it is busy at weekends. All chain shops you see everywhere else. It's open until late in the week, so I would recommend going then when it's quiet. Can get too excited about it.

Easy to reach just off the A5. First visit, as we were having a meal with family, if you aren't familiar with the first Roundabout it can catch you out. Park at Nando's, five guys & pizza express can get busy, with a dead end. Plenty of retailers you won't be disappointed.

Love to shop in this place. Plenty of large retail businesses including supermarkets and a petrol station. Split into different areas. Could do with a few more places to eat...really only a Mcdonalds, Pizza express and recently Five Guys, though Sainsburys and M&S have cafes. Ample parking but can be very busy at usual peak times and days. Have to say ALL staff in ALL shops are so polite...must be the water....please share😃

And whoever thought to build a retail centre with shops on the Outside and Parking on the inside. Walking to shops is not comfortable and could be dangerous, taking time for ped crossings. Congrats to the council that allowed this to be built, leading to the demise of the old town centre

Nice place for shopping where you can find anything you need/ want. Cleaned stores, everything in place and nice organised.

Great place, very busy and difficult to park. Be mindful that parking is for a limited time. I have had a £100 fixed notice sent to me as we parked for 3 hours 15 minutes. We had a big shop, spending over £800 in M&S, Next, Curry's, Home Bargains, Smyths amongst other shops. I have appealed and wait their response?

Awful for disabled shoppers! Visited here to go shopping, no where near enough disabled parking spaces especially with the barrage of glow in the dark orange tanned mum's in gigantic SUV's parking in them because apparently having a baby is a disability now. Apart from that, the walkway at the front of the shops is all on a massive camber which makes it virtually impossible to use a self propelled wheelchair.

This is a great outdoor shopping center to find all the presents you need for Christmas. There are loads of shops, supermarkets for fuel and groceries and a few good places to eat. I would book in advance if you plan to eat anywhere as they're always busy and be prepared to wait in traffic as the roads are horrendous to get in and our of the retail park when busy.

Great Retail park with loads to do there, really nice catering van next to Primark does really nice food, there is a McDonald's also but prefer the catering unit, there is a pound stretcher, aldi, asda, sainsburys, poundland, next and other there really good retail park..

Assessable and lots of disabled parking. However once in these shops, some shops displays and spaces are not. Some lifts not assessable for wheelchairs as too narrow.

Very good shopping place for the area. You have to be careful though as it is always rammed and traffic builds up quickly. The shops themselves are good though and always have what you need

the later it gets the busier, so get there earlier to get a good parking space. We were spoiled for choice because of all the amazing shops, I would definitely rather come here to do any shopping than go into Birmingham city centre, which was our other option. Can't recommend this place enough.

Massive retail park consisting of a few separate sections. You can buy there anything you can dream of. However, the road organisation is horrendous, causing massive traffic. Unless you get there very earlier in the morning, you will spend hours in traffic

Loads of good shops are here. Car parking can be a bit tricky at times. Overall, I'd recommend 👍

Great range of shops here. Seriously good with the addition of Primark and H&M. John Lewis has closed but M&S is still open! Complex layout though with many confusing roads and roundabouts: certainly doesn't allow the traffic to flow well. Feels like several completely separate retail parks. Could do with a proper restaurant or two: Harvester, Wetherspoons or similar would do. Severe lack of parent parking, seating, toilets and baby change/feeding areas. Also seems they never empty their bins so you get loads of litter blowing around and nowhere safe to put your rubbish. Check out the photos to see what I mean. Still given the range of shops it is well worth checking out.

Great variety of shops all within easy walking distance of each other. Found everything I needed. Fab Marks and Spencers and Primark worth the journey!

Good selection of stores, free parking, and fuel station this wasn't our first visit and won't be the last.

When it's busy parking is difficult, considering the size of the car park you think they would have a better layout, the entrance is too small for the amount of traffic that passes through some days it's hard to drive past, going in the week is a better option for me.

Good aray of shops, let down by a poor road network, it gets very busy which makes parking an issue & awful traffic queues spilling out onto neighbouring roads. I have just been off peak & it's fine with the exception of the totally illogical lanes at the roundabouts. Recently added shops (late 2022) include Primark, Superdrug, the food warehouse, Aldi & home bargains.

Always incredibly busy. Retail park has a good selection of shops, but parking and traffic can be awful, especially at weekends.

OK selection of shops but with a weird layout- it’s a good few minutes walk from one side to the other, with nothing in between. Oddly dangerous car park on the ‘old’ side, with no pedestrian walkways. Horrific road access at busy times with long queues and tiny car parking spaces- if you can get one.

My regular shopping, nice and clean, plenty shops. Nice place to visit with castle grounds.

I went to a small classic car show at the Country Park and was impressed with everything else it had to offer . There were two train rides , a lovely nature walk , a great museum of small steam engines and agricultural steam engines . There is also a roller disco which was £10 for a two hour session including skate hire and all safety equipment pads , helmets etc , plus two nice food outlets not badly priced and a bar serving alcohol, soft drinks and hot drinks . There is also a nice play area for children with a zip line and swings . And a soft play area and climbing wall . The train rides were great fun . Only 45 minutes from Birmingham near Tamworth . A great day out plus exercise on the walks . They have many events on throughout the year and is well worth checking there website . A really enjoyable day out

A friend recommended a visit to the sweet Indian steam event at Statfold Barn Railway. Wow. What a place. We spent the full day there and we still have lots more to see and do. We will definitely be going back with the grandchildren. Free parking and a low entrance fee. Plenty of toilets. Good food freshly made alongside grab and go items. A nice area to sit and eat in which is regularly cleaned. There is a small gift shop, with reasonable prices. A clean well lit static museum. Free rides on the steam trains with plenty of photo opportunities on and off the trains. There is a lot of walking, some with pathways, some without. A map of the site would be useful. As a private collection, this is a hidden jewel. Highly recommended, visit the website and plan a visit. SBR thank you for a great day out.

We attended the Road, Rail and Ale event. Fantastic show. Lots to see and do. Great value for money. Beer reasonably priced too. Also did the “driver for a fiver” and drove a steam engine! Great place to visit.

Great place, booked last minute and had a great day! Me and kids loved every minute of it. The staff were amazing, and the train rides were brill. Kids can't wait to go back. Would recommend to anyone!

Wheelchair and buggy access ♿ Ramps put out by station masters to help get on and off trains Great food and drink available but long queue for each separate queue ( one queue for drinks one queue for food) Cars, bikes, lorry's, trucks, army vehicle, classic cars. Train rides were fabulous. Staff very friendly and helpful and it was very well organised. Lots of clean and well stocked toilet facilities all around the site. Picnic tables if you want to take your own. Car park isn't far to walk to the main entrance. Things for the children to do. Definitely worth a day out. We took my disabled brother and he loved it.

Bank Holiday Monday we had a great time, something for the whole family, steam trains are fun, excellent service with wheelchairs to get on trains, diner was clean, service great, prices fair and choices spot on for food. Good place for them showery days we get as lots of indoor and outdoor space. Easter panto was very good, overall a fantastic day had by all the family ages 5 months to 84 years.

Such a lovely experience here yesterday. Mrs Clause at the Bakery was just amazing, she definitely made everyone laugh. Santa was actually looking how Santa should look and his Elves all played the part down at the grotto. The gifts were the best I've ever seen at any Santa experience over the 11 years we've been doing this and the kids enjoyed picking their own. Food was lovely too, listening to the choir in the background. 3 hours went quickly and the kids didn't want to leave. A big pat of the back for all the team who made our 1st experience here so enjoyable. Definitely a winner I'm my eyes.

What a fun action packed day we had here. I recommend going when an event is on which is quite regularly so look at the website for the event dates. We went during the miniatures weekend and there was so much going on. We had several different steam train rides, a short trip on a tram and also a local bus tour on a heritage bus. All included a within our ticket price. We had a two year old with us and we’re really impressed at the overall value as rides and attractions were also included within the ticket price including access to soft play. The museum is great too and has a great collection of trains to see and there was plenty of information to read that was readily available including videos and display boards. Food and drinks including a bar is available as well as bringing your own food. There is plenty of outdoor and indoor seating in the courtyard and we took our own picnic. If you rushed around the attractions you could see statfold in about 1-2 hours, but if you relax take your time and enjoy the trips and want to enjoy everything it has to offer you can easily spend a day here like us. We are already looking at the event’s calendar to plan our next visit. Highly recommended day out.

What a lovely day out - lots to see and do and all for a reasonable price. £10 for an adult and that includes all the exhibitions and train rides. I was amazed at how much there was to see. It’s hidden away very well. Clearly a lot of money and care has been spent to make this a great place to visit. Some of the events (festivals and special days) look really interesting so will definitely try it out again soon.

Beautiful set up for railway lover. My 2yrs old toddler was absolutely loveit and don't want to leave. The history, collection of engine over centuries. Steam railway was another great experience. We will definitely be back.

This place is just Brilliant for families, place is spotless. Lots to do train 🚂 rides play areas, picnic areas, second time we’ve been will definitely go again. 💥👏💥👏💥

Took our two children ages 5 & 7 for a visit over the Easter weekend. The number of trains in the round house was amazing, the soft play and outside park were great. The central carpark is ideal so you can quickly pop back to grab your picnic or jackets wherever you are. There were plenty of places to sit for lunch. The cafe had a large indoor area, and there were plenty of covered seats in the main courtyard by the shop. In nice weather there would be even more choice. The Easter pantomime was very entertaining and well worth the additional ticket (big well done to the 4 actors in that show), and the kids loved meeting the Easter Bunny and getting a creme egg. The only criticism was that given the number of tracks shown on the map, we couldn't go on all of them (perhaps it wasn't fully open early on the season?) and it would have been nice to get off and explore the gardens and lake. We will definitely visit again if we are staying somewhere nearby.

Not everything was open, very clean, bit confusing when you first park up, what building do you go too first, the main hall for the trains was brilliant, soft play area good for children, the train ride was good the park is still developing and once completed I would imagine what a great place to go, bad experience with the cafe, food prices are reasonable but the wait is not the best, we should have been supplied with gravy with our meals but it was not, we complained but the staff said they would bring some over but they didn't, food would have gone cold if and when they could be bothered. Transport museum was a roller disco on the day, and was advised most vehicles were off site being worked on for the spring season, if I knew this I would have chose a later visit, would I go again, perhaps but nor in a hurry to do so.

We visited during the first week of Easter school holidays. Park was very much deserted, mainly due to schools in the region breaking up at a separate time to our local area. We paid £12 each to get in, and it proved to be fantastic value for money, although not all activities were open. We could ride the stream engine as many times as we like, played in a fantastic train themed soft play area, really clean and spacious and finally could have taken part in wall climbing (similar to Rock up). Museum was open to browse also. All of this was included in the entry fee. We are looking to visit again later this year with family. A brilliant day out and good value. One thing i couldn't be sure of was if we would have to pay extra to use the Roller rink. Site is very accessible for pushchair and wheelchair use. Toilets are also very clean.

Lovely day out so much to see. Price is not bad either cost us £13.50 and you can take as many rides as you want on any train. Great sweet shops and a great museum. Highly recommended.

Have visited a few times now over the last 5 years. Used to absolutely love this venue and rated it 5*. So much to see and they used to run quite an intense service which was great for enthusiasts. My most recent visits have shown that the service has really slowed down. Lots of hanging around at the main station and trains now stop for a while half way around so that kids can look at some cartoon creatures in the "Fellumpa Village". Newsflash, the kids weren't interested, nobody got off. The other downside to this slowing down was that fewer trains ran and, with visitor numbers increasing, the queues are growing far more than they should. Lots of grumbles from staff and passengers alike. More visitors needs more trains running not less. My last two visits were for events. Lots to see but next time I'll take my own food and drinks as the queues were lengthy. The burger van just can't cope and anyone asking for a veggie option has to wait much longer. Really want this place to stay and succeed but IMO it's now going backwards. Reluctantly reducing the star rating.

Simply amazing. From the members of the staff to the cleanliness (you don't get to see this very often elsewhere), organisation and activities they provide. The train drivers seem so proud of what they do! Keep the great work!

This is a really beautiful church, it survived the reformation and did a marvellous Palm Sunday service. They were all raving about the new coffee area which was good but not sure about digging up bones and spending a quarter of a mil on it and the bookshop but hey, none of my business. The vicar is a young man of 37 and there’s a “vicaress” with multi coloured hair which frankly, well anyway. I don’t, yeah, it’s just, Y’know. Put it this way, if I was in her position I’d want people talking about the power of my sermon not the colour of my hair but there we are. The elderly parishioners think it’s terribly exciting and cool and the vicars wife has a nose ring and all this you know. So I guess it’s a forward thinking church. The new vicar is also high church I’ve heard. The best bit was the choir I think. The building is breathtaking and there’s all sorts to look at. It’s a happening place and we’ll worth a visit. The organ looks brill and there’s all sorts of rooms and stuff. Check it out

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit on Tuesday 2nd November. The guide that morning was very knowledgeable and very pleasant in his delivery. He was not overpowering in his facts but made the experience well worth while ...shame I did not get to see the staircase but the stained glass windows made up for it....thank you

Stunning, beautiful, what a history as well. Vikings did their best to destroy it, but rebuilt every time. Surprised at finding the connection up there of Mercia and our own Wessex, King Alfred the Great stands out in that link.

Twas only a fortnight ago that I needed to come in here to pay reparations for eating a non-vegan soy burger. But at the time they were holding a bah mitzva. I was very happy for the couple but I was wondering why this Sikh tradition was being held at a Jedi Temple. While I was discombobulated, one of the local youth attempted to catch those pokemans I have been seeing around. I tipped the young man £20 for keeping those hooligans off of our streets. Promptly I was told by this young man that he was "no charity case" and to take my "benefit bucks" and, to paraphrase his next sentence, "commit incestuous intercourse with my own mother". I daresay that this town has turned out to be very uncultured indeed but alas I must make way to my next location, the castle.

Had a look around the church, they had a little cafe inside and a charity shop. The church has some fantastic history and amazing architecture. You can get a guided tour but I didn't enquire. Definitely worth having a look about if its open.

A lovely place inside and out. There are some amazing stained glass windows in this church. St Edithas also has a rare double spiral staircase, this staircase is open to the public several times a year and you can climb all the way up to the roof of the church tower for some amazing views across the whole of Tamworth.

Great place for pick your own Strawberries, Gooseberries, Raspberries and Blackberries. You have to book your visit through their website before going and it will cost you around £8. Once you finished picking then they will charge per kilo around £7. They do have good restaurant, kids fun place and free parking. We enjoyed handmade Ice-cream. Will visit again in future.

We had a lovely experience visiting Manor Farm for Santas Grotto. Mrs Claus & Santa were fantastic and really attentive to the children . Very interactive and beautiful photo opportunities. Inside Santa’s work shops the elves couldn’t have been more enthusiastic and the children thought they were hilarious.we thought the choice of gifts were very generous considering the fair price to visit. My only criticism would be whilst we waited to go through to Santas grotto the elves here didn’t interact with the children at all which my children seemed quite dissapointed with , other than this we had a great visit and would come again .

Best experience ever. My kids just loved Strawberry picking. The scenery is fantastic. Strawberry cabin serves the best Pancakes... A thoroughly enjoyable place if one wants to spend quality family time outsie.

Fabulous place. We did the maze, fairy trail and fruit picking. We had an awesome time. The restaurant was great too. Food really nice. The brilliant play area for the children was brilliant.. Kids loved it. The staff were really nice, helpful, chatty and made us feel very welcome. Thank you.

Lovely hour at the pumpkin fest. We enjoyed walking our dog round the edge of the fruit trees and the sunflowers. There was an excellent choice of pumpkins, range of sizes and colours. There was storytelling, face painting and inflatables for the children and displays for photographs. Nice friendly staff.

I would recommend perfect for the whole family kids play area also available perfect snacks, ice cream and slush, the most beautiful in the Sun, the sunflowers were particularly lovely, strawberries, black currents, raspberries, available. The staff were lovely and helpful. I hope the business continues to prosper

Such a lovely experience! It was also a beautiful day-the weather was just right! I would definitely recommend. Though freshly picked with your own hands, I think the price/weight of the strawberries could be less.

We have been here a few times now and really enjoyed our visit. The strawberries are lush and they enjoy the play area! Cafe of reasonable too. BUT they have now introduced a rule saying we are no longer allowed to eat the strawberries/fruit as we walk round as its THEFT! I've never been to a fruit picking farm before where this has been banned. There's acres of fruit. I'm willing to bet that if people did not eat extra as they walked round, you would have an awful lot of waste. Let people enjoy.

We had an amazing time at Manor farm fruits! The prices are very reasonable for the experience and quality of the fruit, at £7.50 a kg for the Strawberries. Of course it is more expensive than a supermarket, but they are fresh as they come and deliciously sweet and ripe. Entry fees are cheap as chips too. The staff are wonderful, so polite and helpful, they are a real credit to the farm. There is so much for the children to do once the fruit picking is over. My son loved the bouncy castle and the tractor assault course, we stayed for ages letting him play as much as he wanted. Toilets on site are very clean and well maintained, best portaloos I've ever seen! We loved it so much we went again a few days later, the weather wasn't as nice unfortunately but that's didn't effect how much fun we had. I'm so impressed with this place, can't wait for pumpkin picking at Halloween! Thanks so much Manor fruits, you've gotten lifelong customers out of us!

We had such a great time at the evening pumpkin fest. The spooky trail was good, we saw some dancing and listened to a story. The kids played, bounced, crawled, climbed and jumped and slipped over in the mud (which was funny). We ended the evening with picking out the pumpkins and went home muddy, but happy tires kiddies and a filthy dog 😂

Super place to visit with your children. We picked our own blackberries, strawberries and raspberries. We did not go on the nature trail or the maize as my daughter wanted to play on everything else! There were two inflatables; some bales of hay and a climbing area with two slides. We ate in the cafe next door for lunch and it was really tasty. I had a chicken skewer from the BBQ outside served with flatbread and salad. My daughter loved the ice cream too! Staff were very helpful and friendly. We had a wonderful time.

Decent price for adults and kids more for kids due to bouncy castle👍 You have loads off cold and hot food made fresh,tea coffee, chips burgers all sorts off variety! Ice cream to🤗 2 separate bouncy castles one i would say for toddlers which is perfect size for them. 1 grown up kids like a maze were they hurdle though to the other end. Would definitely recommend again! Just ring before hand to check the weather or check before you go🤗

First time been there, such a nice place. Good for fruit lovers. Actually it wasn't a good time to go there. Should have been there after a week a so. No fruits was ready to harvest yet. Such a big farm. Very nice staff, guide the people to wright way. Thanks to the young man, sent us to the wright place to get some Strawberries. Here I would like to give an advice, that pick Strawberries only you eat same day, rather at same place. There is a seatting area outside reception. Because fruits get rattan very quickly. Anyway, nice place for family day out. Kids injoyed a lot. All the best...

I took my family for the pumpkin picking festival and we had a lovely time, the little ones loved all the activities but we did miss story time because we didn't realise there was time slots as the kids were having so much fun on all the other activities, definately visit again next year

The farm spread was really huge giving you a lovely day’s walk. They had a selection of strawberries, raspberries and gooseberries. The team there at the reception guides you towards the aisles with the ripe fruit at the time. The strawberries were large and delicious. A restaurant located at the the entrance is a great way to replenish after the activities and has a nice selection of brunch options. You will need to pre-book before your visit.

Visited yesterday it was so lovely. First time visiting Tamworth Castle and it has always looked great and solid from the outside, for just under £10 an adult (for a ticket you can keep using throughout the day) I thought this was a really great experience. There is a lot of interactive stuff which is great for kids and adults. It was just me and my partner and we had fun using the shields and playing the games etc. The staff were really nice, couldn't fault them at all. There is a little gift shop which is nice where you can buy bottled drinks as well. There are toilets as you walk through which were super clean! Had a great time, would definitely come again!

Thousands of years of history just in this one place the stories this castle and grounds could tell . My girlfriend and I have experienced quite a few paranormal things walking the grounds at night . The bridge in the summer time at night is alive with bats feeding and the grounds with Owls and foxes .

Visited today for the first time and will definitely be going back again. Our 8 year old son absolutely loved every minute, and we did too. Very friendly and welcoming staff, fascinating history and so much to see and do. The bonus for our son was the numerous interactive displays and he got involved in dressing up and did some brass rubbing. The story telling was wonderful too which he really enjoyed.The views from the top of the tower are stunning, the climb up the steps is definitely worth it. Fully recommend a visit, you will not be disappointed. Easy to park nearby (we used the Jolly Sailor car park) and lovely walk through the castle grounds near the river with a brilliant play area for the kids. Lovely day out

Visited yesterday and really enjoyed it, very well preserved, steeped in history and a lot of information boards , rooms dressed in various period styles and many interactive areas for children where they can dress as a Knight etc. One way system to follow which is great as you don't miss anything. Great 360 degree views from the rooftop. I just wish the dungeon had been open 😪 No hesitation in recommending

Well worth a visit. Steeped in history and plenty to see, the castle covers a range of historic periods; Tudor, Victorian, and Georgian, as well as Viking/Anglo-Saxon. Lots of stairs and quite a steep bank up to the castle so not really helpful for anyone who is challenged in their walking. Some interesting interactive activities and very interesting for youngsters. Not too expensive either.

Large grounds around Tamworth castle. It is always busy here when the sun shines or there is an event. The grounds extend to a large play area with a very large playpark for younger children that is also very busy. You can head out over Lady Bridge for longer walks which are far quite other than the occasional fisherman.

Not been for years even though we live local. Very well organised, staff very polite and helpful, wonderful experience for ourselves and our visitors from Norfolk. Highly recommend to all.

A friend and I had a recent day out here a few months back and it was brilliant. Whilst walking around the castle did not take all day, it was still a fantastic time. Despite being less "flashy" than some other castles across the Midlands, Tamworth is still packed with history and there has been some serious work into packing so much into the space. The whole experience walking around was immersive with displays, interactive sections (adults and children!) and very knowledgeable staff! You get to see some real bits of history up close in this fantastic castle. We came on the bus from Birmingham, with only a short walk from the bus stop. After a few hours exploring the castle we settled on the gorgeous grounds in front to eat a picnic lunch from various street food vendors. I absolutely recommend this for anyone wanting to do something different on a day out. Extremely good value for money and if you're interested in history, Tamworth should not be overlooked!

Amazing place to visit. So much to see and learn. If you have children it's a brilliant day out with how they have it set up. Ticket prices are reasonable and parking is very close by. Cafe at the ticket office and a small shop at the castle entrance

My family and I had a great couple of hours in this castle. The castle seemed to go on forever, each room had one or two information boards. Many rooms had activities for children, including dressing up, interesting games, colouring in sheets, and an Easter egg hunt with a prize at the end. Maybe worth buying tickets in advance, we paid £54 for 3 adults and 4 children. One of the best castles we've visited. The surrounding area was lovely too. A really good play park, an outdoor gym area, bowling green, tennis court, ping pong tables, pretty gardens, community centre type building, skate park, and all day parking at only £1.50.

Always something to see at The Castle, great that so much more is being done with it now, an iconic treasure for the town! So lucky its owners were on the ' right side ' at the end of the civil war or there would just be ruins......never fails to impress, whatever view you see it from....I really love looking at it from Ladybridge and Ladymeadow....but it's imposing from the entrance!

I love this little castle. So much so we got married in the great hall. It was a beautiful ceremony with medieval rustic charm. As a historic place to visit, it is really good for families, although due to the era it was built, it is not very accessible. Lots of worn stone and wooden steps, and not forgetting the steep motte, or hill, that it is built on. The castle is excellently preserved though, great historic decor from different periods, and some brilliant exhibitions. Good toilet facilities and a nice little cafe downstairs. Don't forget to ask the staff about the resident ghosts 😁

Such a unique castle with it being true to its motte and bailey norman footprint. Little expansion beyond that, it gives you a feel to how an original motte and bailey castle was. Albeit upgraded into stone and several internal additional buildings from different eras. Beautiful castle, wonderful gardens and a lovely town full of good folk. 👍👍👍

Stands on a little square in front of the Town Hall. The Peel Collection and Police Museum at Middleton Hall, celebrates the life and times of Sir Robert Peel, the founder of the Police, M.P. for Tamworth and squire of Drayton Manor.

Sir Robert Peel, 2nd Baronet was Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, twice, 1834–1835 and 1841–1846. He was owner and founder of the Metropolitan Police Service. Peel was one of the founders of the modern Conservative Party. The statue is located in front of the Town Hall building and close to Tamworth Castle and Castle Grounds.

Former Prime Minister Robert (Bob) Peel is Tamworth's most famous export. His creation of the modern police force resulted in British policemen being called "Bobbies" or less often these days "Peelers". His political career was marked by his taking right wing positions such as discriminating against Catholics or letting the Irish starve in the potato famine, but then taking a more liberal position when forced to by circumstances.

Nice cosy place. I enjoyed the IPA (Citra) but then tried the Twisted Lime Cider which tasted like someone had made a pint of lime cordial but switched the water and lime ratio round the wrong way. It was luminous green ! Won't be having that again but will be back to try others.

Absolutely superb place, stopping in Tamworth for a local event, but passed this place earlier, just had to call in , only had an hour or so but wished stopped longer, well gone on earlier as we were one the last to leave, incredibly friendly, brilliant staff, fantastic range of ales and ciders, I just can't rate it highly enough. Log burner was blazing, the lovely mumble if conversation and background music at a good level. One of the best Taps I have been in.

This pub is great, I've visited many times. And we all love it. However, today, we were all kicked out because they would not accept my nearly 19 year old daughter's ID. She wasn't even drinking alcohol. In all fairness, the group of us were not kicked out. They just said my daughter would have to leave. They also wouldnt even let us finish our drinks. Immediately booted. So be warned, even if you have valid ID, if you look young, they will kick you out. So disappointed with them. It's for this reason a large group of us will now not return. Such a shame.

Love the girls behind the bar here… not only do they remember my face… they remember my dog and her name! And they’ve got great product knowledge too. It’s a 10 from Len (Si).

Went here as it was a good little pub. Unfortunately it has gone downhill. My partner can't have alcohol so wanted a hot drink. In the past this was not a problem. Now for some reason they do not serve hot drinks as its a real ale pub. Was told this quite abruptly too so will not be back. Shame as I did like the pub

Can't rate the food as I only had beer. Lovely little pub, like stepping back In time. The stove was burning hot when I visited, the staff were friendly and the customers seemed happy and friendly. Wonderful little pub, between this and the Robert peel, you'll have a great night out. Oh and the gents toilets are absolutely cracking 👌. Worth visiting just for the bogs 😃

The highlight of Tamworth real ale scene when you’re an ale enthusiast and you’re on a pub crawl. Great old timey look for somewhere relatively new, great range of real ales and lagers, and good selection of bar snacks from cobs to sausage rolls and pork pies I think. Friendly staff too. It is strictly over 18s only too. All in all, a great little establishment!

Really enjoyed another return to the tap last night. Great service as usual, friendly locals and superb beer (cask, keg). Finished on a Belgian beer and it was great to see a couple of new ones in the fridge too. Till the next time.

We went out of our way to come here because of a recommendation, and it was definitely worth it! A big thanks to the wonderful staff and kind people at the pub that made us feel so welcome in Tamworth! Will come again for sure!

We went for the Sunday sessions, amazing music by Rob Taylor, in the gorgeous beer garden, overlooked by Tamworth castle, a brilliant recommendation for my beer, I'd expect nothing less from camra pub of the year, all in the sunshine. I would definitely recommend this pub, independent, quirky, in a really good way, great beer and staff.

Rustic micro pub, Takes a few visits to love the charm. But utterly utterly welcoming and an amazing labyrinth. Massively warm atmosphere. Won UK best pub in the Camra circles! A treat. Always the right music and volume !

Wonderful pub, voted CAMRA National Pub of the Year recently. Fully deserved in our opinion. Great beer range, warm and friendly atmosphere and fantastic décor. Glad we made the effort to visit on our way back to London 👍😁🍻
