This place is stunning and the story/legend behind the causeway is quite cool. The walk down to the causeway is approximately half a mile and it opens up into such beautiful scenery mountainous and ocean scenery. The rocks are very cool and everywhere you look is just beautiful. Careful on the rocks because they can become quite slippery when wet. Definitely check this out!

Went on a weekend, reached around 7pm the sun was still out because of summer. Happen to see one of the most beautiful sunset in Ireland. Had to walk half a mile to reach the rocks. Really enjoyed sitting on the rocks and the waves hitting the rocks were so calming. Since we went on a odd time not many people were there. Good experience!

We visited with a coach party so after a little delay we went in on mass!! It was a beautiful sunny and not windy day so we really benefited from the beautiful scenery. Cafe was rather busy so we didn't want to be bothered with waiting plus the fact that they served in paper cups which is unusual for National Trust. Overall we loved the day and I attach a few photos.

This is an absolute must to visit. It's steeped in history and is wonderful for old and young alike. The visitor centre is excellent, very informative. The walk down to the Causeway is easy, it would be steep on return but there is a bus service which makes it an easy option. The bus holds a wheelchair space too. The view are amazing and the stones are a sight to behold! A must visit place, best to go on a dry day if possible!

So glad we saw this amazing place. It really is as good as the photos. We didn't go in the visitor centre just walked across the stones. There is a bus for £1 each way or free to national trust members for those who aren't able to walk down to the stones as its around a 20 minute walk from the top, but coming back is uphill. Really glad I've seen it and would recommend to others. We didn't go in the visitor centre as this was £13.50 extra each, but can walk the stones for free.

Easily one of the best sightseeing activities you must do if you're visiting Northern Ireland. We booked a day tour leaving from Belfast for an affordable price that took us to the Causeway as well as the Dark Hedges and a few other sights for only 30 pounds. The Causeway itself is amazing. I've been twice now, once in summer which offered really great views of the ocean and calm water, blue skies. A great relaxing day out. Most recently however we went in January and it was raining extremely heavily, the waves were crashing over the Causeway and the wind was intense. In it's own way - this experience was just as great, if not better. There's something really chaotic and calming about this type of weather and made for some great photos and a fun experience balancing on the stones. Would recommend this activity/10

A unique and very special place! A 20-minute walk takes visitors to the Giants Causeway, a series of unique rock formations that impress us. It is one of Northern Ireland's great attractions. An unmissable visit. At the Visitor Center there is a shop, restaurant and an explanation of the rock formations. It is possible to make the descent/ascent on foot or by bus. We loved the visit! Absolutely unforgettable!

Wow. What an amazing, natural attraction. The rock formations are nothing like I have ever seen, they reminded me of honeycomb. There was also a lovely little, reasonably priced cafe called The Nook with delicious food and cakes. You can also get a range of hot drinks and alcoholic drinks if you fancy a beer. A must see!

Amazing place.. We are lucky to have a beautiful day today although it's very windy. A must if you are visiting Belfast. Follow the Great Causeway Coastal Route. So many great spots and nice village towns along the way.

What an interresting place steeped in history and myth. The visitor center gives good information and then it is an easy kilometer or so walk downhill to where the causeway is. The rock formations are beautiful and I could not take enough photos. You can walk back or pay €1 for a ride back in a bus. Lovely visit.

This place has been on my list of places to visit for a long time. Finally getting the chance whilst visiting friends in Belfast. Being a National Trust member is a plus. The visitor center is worth going into and having a look and the building architecture is also quite nice. The walk to the Causeway is interesting and remember to pick up a audio guide to listen to. I can imagine it being really crowded during school days and maybe fighting for a place to stand to really.take in the views and sights. However I was lucky to go when there were not so many people. The walks around after the Causeway are also great and I would leave yourself at least 3 hours to make these walks. Visiting this place is well worth it and I would certainly go again.

Quite a short walk actually was hoping for something a bit longer, but it was great. Weather wasn't the best but it was something different. Tickets only need to be bought if you wanna go to the visitor centre & parking is available for £10 at the causeway hotel where you can redeem it back in the restaurant.

A must-visit for anyone in Ireland. This place is something different from anything I have ever visited. Cinema landscape and you'll be wondering, how did these stones get these shapes??? It's from another planet... Ah! Don't forget to wear very comfortable clothes and sneakers, as you'll be walking a lot. And be careful as the rocks are slippery.

Wow! This place is amazing. The formation of the rocks and how it sits against the coastline truly takes your breath away. Go, you will not be disappointed. The story of the fabled giant who resides in the area is quite entertaining as well.

I think I was expecting a little car park and muddy slopes, instead it is s very slick visitor centre with shops and cafe. The walk down to the causeway itself is approx 1km and is a gentle slope. There is even a bus if needed. A remarkable place to visit with breathtaking geology.

Came here with a tour group and had a wonderful time. It's a relatively easy walk to get down and back from the visitor center. However, they offer a shuttle service to get down for those who may not be able to deal with the hill. Amazing landscape that will be worth the visit if you're in Northern Ireland. If you're in Dublin like I was, you can just find a group tour and not have to worry about the drive. The park is well maintained and clean, so try to respect the grounds and be aware of the signs that prohibited you from walking through certain areas.

This place is amazing! We were with a bus tour, so the amount of the time (2 hours) we were able to spend soaking in its beauty was limited. However, my 10 years old and I were able to enjoy a short hike and did some rock scrambling. Fun and look forward to returning when we can!

Beautiful place, maybe better to visit in the morning or during working days as there were tour buses always coming and a lot of people climbing the stones, so it is a bit harder to get a nice picture. Weather was fortunately very good so we also got a nice view. It is also nice to hike the hill a little and you get a beautiful view from the top 👌🏼

One of the natural wonders of the world with a mythology to go with it. It's a must see, but be prepared for crowds even on quieter midweek mornings. Park at the National Trust visitor centre - there's a bus that takes you to and from the site but it's a nice walk.

A MUST !!! We arrived as part of Wild Rover's Day trip from Dublin which was excellent! Top rated Giant's causeway hike worth every Sec! It's an easy Hike and we recommends starting the red trail that will provide the high view, go down (which is easier) , do the extra and return via the blue - see pictures

How amazing are these rock formations!! Right!?! Gorgeous scenery for the walk down to the rocks, if you're able to do a downhill grade. If not, the shuttle is only 1 British pound each way, to/from the visitors center. I believe it's free for National Trust members.

Beautiful place.. The view is just amazing. We got there about 5.15, and the sun was still up. There are 3 trails to walk to the stone formations. From the entrance, it will take about 25 mins to walk on the blue trail and is the quickest route. There was still plenty of light when we got there, and we were able to take plenty of photos. We were there for the sunset, and it was just amazing 🤩 It's a must to visit if you're ever coming to Northern Ireland.

If you're not the member of National Trust you're paying 10£ for parking and then you need to walk about 20minutes to the rocks. But the place itself is even more beautiful than on photos. If there's less people of course it's 100times better but still amazing experience and lovely masterpiece of nature. Must visit place in Northern Ireland. Have at least 2hours to check upper part as well because of stunning views.

Absolutely spectacular. An amazing combination of geological formations with a stunning sea view. Allow yourself a full hour and a half to do the red trail and walk right to the columns. We were lucky to hit this place on the off season so there were no crowds

A truly wonderful beautiful natural place that blows your mind. The visitor's centre is very informative with great amenities and facilities with a cafe and a gift shop. There is a bus that runs about every 15 minutes or so up and down the causeway for a £1 each way in case the walk is too much for some. Inside the visitor's centre they also offer mobility scooters, chairs and aids if you should require. It's a visit back in time that takes your mind to another place as it's unbelievable to take it all in. The sheer beauty is absolutely outstanding.

we had the luck to visit this unique and beautiful landmark on a really sunny day. not just the causeway itself is great, but the small trail over the cliffs provided a great view. if you come here, there is no need to go through the visitor centre, just take the footpath around the building and you get the chance to see this incredible place for free.

For a more enjoyable experience, consider arriving early in the morning to beat the crowds. We arrived around 9 to 9:30AM and found it to be a great time to explore. The 10 min stroll down is quite pleasant. At the top, just be mindful of parking fees at the national trust car park, which is £15 per person.

We recently visited the Giant's Causeway and we couldn't be happier with our experience. The Giant's Causeway is a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1986. This place is truly stunning and lives up to all the photos we had seen before. Instead of going into the visitor centre, we decided to take the walk across the stones themselves. For those who may have difficulty walking, there is a bus available for £1 each way, or it's free for National Trust members. However, we highly recommend making the walk if you're able to. It's about a 20-minute walk from the top to the stones, but do keep in mind that the way back is uphill. One important tip we would like to share is to dress warmly, as the wind can be quite strong. Additionally, make sure to wear shoes with good grip, as the stones can get quite slippery. These small precautions will ensure your safety while exploring this beautiful location. Overall, we highly recommend anyone touring Ireland to make a stop at the Giant's Causeway. It's an awe-inspiring display of nature's beauty that you won't want to miss.

Amazing to do, but do not focus only on the causeway itself ! I reccommend the red walk first, it is a bit longer but you have stunning views of the causeway and of the cliffs. Lots of other things such as the amphitheatre, rocks, the camel looking rock and giant foot looking rock are to be seen there Much better to do it in a sunny day if possible

The rock formations were beautiful and interesting, offering plenty of photo opportunities for everyone. I was extremely disappointed that the visitor centre did not provide any toilet facilities to those without a £13.50 ticket for the visitor centre and museum. After all, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site receiving international visitors daily. Not providing free toilet facilities to your visitors in such a remote location is totally unacceptable.

This is a beautiful place to visit. It’s just a bit touristy for my liking. The red trail, above the cliffs, was my favorite part, as there wasn’t nearly as many people on it.

One of the most visited places on the Island for a reason. Everything seems big and magical. Lots of tourist though. Also, I recommend you to come wearing boots or some easy to clean shoes to walk over the cliffs. Free to visit, but parking is paid at the hotel by the entrance of the trail. There are also paid guided tours.

This was my favorite part of visiting the island of Ireland. There are only a handful of places like this in the world. We went close to sunset on a weekday, and it wasn't crowded at all. The parking lot was free, and the walk down through the cliffs was beautiful and gentle. The weather that day was nice, around 55°F in March. The ocean was calm, and the wind wasn't bad. Conditions were perfect. This is a must see when visiting the Northern top of the island of Ireland.

We parked in Bushmills and got local bus to causeway. Much cheaper and very easy. Our son loved climbing on the causeway. There was 136 steps up to cliff top to give a lovely view.

We had a great time in the Distillery, our guide Joe made the tour really interesting with his knowledge and sense of humour! We really enjoyed it, the whisky tasting at the end is a great addition as well, would really recommend this tour 👍🏼

Great experience we booked on the 1hour tour 2 adults and 2 children (12 &13) and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. The tour was really informative and interesting would highly reccomend. Nice to get a little taster ad the end as well 🙂

Outstanding and a credit to everyone who makes the distillery such a wonderful place. I have done the tour 3 times over the last 10 years and regularly buy from the online store. Anything shipped from the store turns up very quickly and so far has always been damage free. If you haven't been, you should. Anyone leaving a poor review because it has been closed due to covid really should reconsider the review they have left as this is completely out of anyone's control. Check if it's open before just turning up maybe?

My favourite distillery in Northern Ireland))) Ok, My favourite Irish whiskey ever! Especially when you get here, to the distillery you completely understand the traditions and greatness of Bushmills whiskey. Unfortunately it is not allowed to take photos inside (like in most of the Scottish distilleries) but the emotions and taste you will remember forever) I wish I could buy more whiskey with me after (. Never be greedy).

Probably one of the most informative whiskey tours I’ve ever had! Enjoyed an amazing whiskey cocktail mixed with lemon and Cointreau. Definitely worth visiting the oldest licensed whiskey distillery in the world👌🏽

Bushmills was an expected stop on our journey but a pleasant one. We got to taste some whiskey and were about to pick up a 12 yr bottle that you can only get from the Distillery.

I went here a few years back and it is absolutely a MUST GO!! Even if you think you don’t like Bushmills, trust me, straight from the source and special releases will change your mind!! The tour is lovely and it’s got a great historical story! Definitely stick around to check out the quaint little town, lovely little pubs on one street and pretty much nothing else:)

I've visited many distilleries in Ireland, Scotland and the US, and Bushmills provides one of the most informative and enjoyable tours of the distillery facilities and processes. This is one of the few distilleries I've visited multiple times. On my second visit I mentioned I was one of the joint owners of one of their '1975 Millennial Malt' casks released in 1999 (cask #52). I was treated like true Royalty!

We attended the tour on the shortest day this year. The tour was informative and presented by the lovely Tim. Unfortunately the plant was in a shutdown before Christmas which we were not informed of, therefore a very limited tour. Had we been informed of this when booking, we would have chosen another time to visit. I'm a true fan of the brand and have been for many years, this was my first visit to the distillery. They told itself was very informative, as I've said and presented very well by the guide. He was a fountain of knowledge and answered all my questions with great detail, you could tell that this gentleman had a true passion for the creation of this fine Irish Whiskey.

The history at Bushmills is (literally) unbeatable. The tour was fantastic, but no photos are allowed. Guests can’t even have their phones out at all (to take notes, if you’re into that sort of thing). But the tour takes you through the whole process of whiskey-making so there’s a lot of information, and the tasting afterwards was great.

This tour was exceptional. Our guide, who was as witty as she was funny, gave us a complete tour of the favorites, sharing her extensive knowledge of the process. Highly recommend

Did the VIP tour and absolutely loved it. Went on several distillery tours/tastings while in Ireland and this was by far the favorite.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour and tasting at Ireland's oldest distillery. We have a greater appreciation of the craftsmanship that goes into the perfect whiskey! There is a nice shop with friendly staff. There is a wonderful bar to have a drink before or after the tour (no food though). The walk from the bus stop to the distillery is pretty easy - with several shops and pubs along the way.

Excellent tour guide (Anne), educational, interesting, tour group size just right & topped off with a small tipple of Bushmills whiskey. A worthwhile & enjoyable experience. If you want to see the bottling & labelling, then avoid Friday's after 12 noon.

beautiful and historic distillery in the northern irish countryside. we visited the bar and tried the sample deck that contained 3 different whiskeys for the price of 10£. they were all quite soft and each had their unique taste.

Wonderful experience all around. We didn’t have time for an private tasting experience, but even just tasting at the bar and choosing a tasting flight was great!

Great story and great host. Jerry was a very engaging guide and you could tell he’s been doing it for awhile. We did the full premium tour but wished you could take pictures inside. The reality of a cell phone igniting alcohol vapors is about as sound as a cell phone causing a plane to crash. Let’s be real. If you don’t want pictures taken inside just say it. We didn’t see any trade secrets. As such no pictures from inside attached to this review. The tasting was great. We had 6 different whiskeys that included the 20yr. Would I do it again ? No. But worth it to do it once.

A really nice tour with an option for an included taste (about one if not two shots) of whiskey, or a cocktail (seemed like a splash of whiskey) or a soft drink. Our guide was very informative and went at a good pace. We really enjoyed our tour and spent a few hours there.

What a place!! Everything is brilliant the staff the facilities the shop! Even better that it was national trust so free for us! The cafe sold its usual gorgeous food you get at a national trust property. I would plan to get there early though if you want a sandwich or something abit more sustainable. The scones are fantastic as always. The buses are brilliant way of making sure everyone can access the giants causeway we walked and it really didn't take that long once you get going. The photo opportunities are utterly endless and the cows nibbling on the shore line the kids loved to watch them! It is a must stop when in Northern Ireland

Not a whole lot that can be added here about the beauty. It is a stunning wonder of the world. Logistics: order tickets in advance. Recommended to arrive within 30 mins of time slot (I would doubt they are strict on this but maybe). Once in, you can stay as long as you want. Car parking is included in ticket and there is a decent amount of space, but I bet on certain days it gets full. Visitor center is modern and nice. Some fun interactive learnings and screens for the kids and adults alike. Gift shops and some nice looking food options (We didn’t eat there though), bathrooms, etc. Once you walk through, you are on your own to wander. You can pick up an audio guide which you carry around your neck and hold up when you want to listen (I didn’t use it that much. The beauty speaks for itself, but fun to learn the geology). It’s a decent walk down to the coast. It is paved. Beautiful views along the way, but note that once you get down, there is not a quick way back to the visitor centre or car park. No bathrooms down there. There is a small bus that will take people down and up but I’m not sure if you have to book it or how that works. There are a sparse few workers down at the causeway if assistance is needed. It actually surprised me the lack of rules about wondering about. Some of the areas can be high and without ropes/guardrails. And the rocks can get slippery when wet (which they regularly are bc it’s Ireland). This is a much bigger park than just the rocks, and there are lots of walking options beyond. Some of it not paved for the more adventurous. This could easily be a half day visit if you are the wandering type. A must see if in the area. And if coming from Belfast and you have the time, I highly recommend the scenic coastal drive. Longer, but the views make it well worth it.

National trust members and carers can get in for free (parking included) however, disabled visitors pay full price which seems unfair. Access the gift shop before your walk as it's likely to be closed by the time you've finished walking. Very busy tourist attraction which can be a pain when you're trying to take pictures without people in them. A shuttle bus is available at £1 per journey each way. It's best to buy tickets in advance - we booked them as we were going around a castle nearby so we had a better idea of time.

As amazing as you’d expect. The exhibition is ok - little bit limited but to be honest worth paying for for 2 reasons: 1. A parking spot near the causeways. 2. The included walking tour with one of the guides. Our guide - Jim - was fantastic. Informative, humorous and knowledgeable. A throughly enjoyable 2-3 hours.

What's not to like here. Fantastic scenery unrivalled anywhere in the world, stories from Irish folklore and a bit of geology. The National Trust visitor Centre is nothing more than a glorified gift shop and cafe really with a small display about the Causeway. The entrance fee fir thus however covers the fantastic walking tour. My guide, Brian, was absolutely excellent. He was informative, funny and he made the walking tour fly by. Would thoroughly recommend this as part of your visit here.

Great scenery, and with a visit. After you've parked you can visit the rock formations for free. There is a National Trust Visitor Centre there if you want to see that, we were told it was £15 to enter, and didn't bother. The rocks are down the hill, about 800m or so. There was a bus running up and down the hill if you wanted a lift, (I think it was around £1.20 each way.)

We enjoyed the Giant's Causway, but would have been really disappointed if we had paid £15 per person. We took a public bus to right outside the park and walked in. There is also a parking area just below the park for £10. Having said that you don't get to see the visitors center or use their washrooms. There are public washrooms at the side of the hotel next door. The basalt rock structures that make up causeway were much smaller then what I had seen in pictures and the trail was cut short by a landslide. I would recommend going early (before around 1030a to miss the crowds. Also the basalt looked very different when it was wet.

I've been wanting to come here for a whole. Took a tour bus from Belfast. There's quite a bit of walking to do from the car park to the stones. However, there are shuttle buses available but there are usually really long queues. The view is breathtaking. You have to be careful climbing the stones as they can be slippery. Really great for photography. They had staff at the edge of the cliffs which was an excellent move to avoid accidents. We ended up having a coffee and dessert at the cafe/restaurant before getting back on the tour bus.

Beautiful, stunning, views, well maintained walkways, visitors centre, car park, all nice and clean. Experienced, friendly, and helpful stuff. Great place to visit. Weather changing quite fast, so best will be to get well prepared for sun and rain at the same time. Highly recommended place.

One more of the most amazing placees I ever visited.There some absolutely unexpressed beauty and power of nature. Wind, ocean, rocks... It was a storm when I was there and facilities was closed, but anyway, this feelings is hard to explain. It is so powerful and tramendos. You will never forget this place. Take a water-protected and wind protect clothes and go ahead with no doubts. There very convenient parking, which was closed because if weather as well by the way. In this case you will need walk to the final point.

Amazing! Incredible rock formations and views. Don't worry about the "Experience." Parking available <10 walk. Keep in mind, the distance you walk down has to be walked coming back, uphill. We had a headwind. 🙂

My friends and I went in January, and the winter is no less stunning. Practically every part of the walk is a clarion call to nature. The Causeway Hotel is classy and warm, and the food is not overpriced and has fresh local quality. Visit, and you will have stories for life.

Beautiful views. Nice long walk or hike or shuttle available. Can get very crowded. Spo go early if possible. The food at The Nook very good.

Amazing place, had images of the Game of Thrones intro when walking along the landscape. About 30 mins down with photo stops along the way. There's a bus for £1 each way for those who choose not to walk up and down the path. The ancient volcanic rock formations should not be missed if you are in the area

So worth it! You don’t have to pay if you just walk through the tunnel, only pay if you would like an audio guide or access to the visitor center. It’s a beautiful walk down to the coast, very scenic. Lots of fun to play around on the rocks and watch the sea!

This is probably the best tour that is definitely worth visiting. Each visitor is given an audio guide who accompanies you all the way. The views are breathtaking! Highly recommend to visit this place!!!

What a unique experience! We paid about 10 pounds to park at the hotel because we didn’t want the tour; we just explored ourselves. There’s about a 3/4 of a mile walk down to the spot, but it was beautiful! We got caught in rain and wind, and the rocks got slippery, but it was so cool! They have security personnel there as well, just in case. You can get a warm drink at the inn and use the restrooms afterwards if you need. Wear good shoes with traction and support!! Also, umbrellas won’t help you, so just wear a windproof and waterproof coat with a hood.

Giants causeway was well worth a visit. Visitors centre is nice and clean with a cafeteria and a gift shop. Plenty of bathrooms and a bus that takes you down and back from the causeway for £1 each way. Well worth it.

Absolutely stunning place to visit. Free audio tour, guided tour and parking included in ticket price. Cafe, shop, toilets and exhibition in the visitor centre. It's quite a steep walk down the hill to the Causeway itself, but there is a shuttle bus at the cost of £1 per person. Definitely walk through Giant's Gate to explore the other side of the Causeway, and walk up the cliff path trail if you're able to.

Gorgeous views! Was on a solo road trip in Northern Ireland in December and this along with the Carrick a Rede rope bridge were at the top of my list. The giant's causeway did not disappoint. Breath-taking views. Would recommend going on the guided tour - our tour guide was fantastic! And brought the story of Humphrey and the giant to life. I then went on the explore the causeway and the up the path to the organ (Pipes of Finn) and back up the stairs to the visitor centre. A must visit in NI! insta: vailancia.21

Wow- stunning place as expected. Can easily spend 2-3 hrs here. Great cafe/shop facilities in super modern building. What impressed me too was that our dog was allowed everywhere with us which made our trip all the more memorable! Top marks to the National Trust ! Option of blue trail walk- easy on tarmac path or red route- via coastal path/ steps. Very well maintained and well signed. Buses also ferry less able people from visitors centre to the rocks - small charge.

My family & I enjoyed our time at Giant's Causeway. We researched about it on Google giving us some base knowledge before arriving. Beautiful scenery & a fun time climbing some of the columns. No tickets needed.

We hired a car while visiting NI. And as we were staying in Belfast. We first drove to Giant Causeway and other attractions. Then we drove back using the Causway coastal route. You can stop on the way and take in the beautiful scenery.

Did a day trip with McComb's coaches to the Giants Causeway with stop-offs along the way to various other tourist spots. Great day and our coach driver and tour guide Patrick was excellent. Recommend taking the Red trail at the Causeway along the cliff top then down to the Causeway and come back along the blue route.

We wanted the children to enjoy places they've never been but have passed many times. We started at Dunseverick castle car park and the views were amazing. It's rare to see areas that have r been ruined by little etc.. Be prepared to go up and down steps.. That's more hard work than the hills

This is one of the great drives in the British Isles. The road twists and turns following the rugged north coast passing through many small towns and picturesque villages. The are the visitors honeypots such as The Giant's Causeway and the Carrick A Rede Rope Bridge. Bushmills with its famous distillery is on the route and there's some wonderful beaches.Take a long leisurely drive or, better still, a campervan!

This is a locals walk around the cliff tops around the Gaints Causeway which locals love. Not difficult but as always, can have 4sessiins in one day so go prepared. Takes about an hour

I walked 25 km of the Causeway Coastal Route - including the primary tourist spot - in amazing weather and loved every minute of it. The Causeway itself is a sight to see and (when I went in early May) wasn't too busy and there plenty of room to roam and mooch. But beyond the Causeway, the cliffs are adorned with basalt columns and are equally impressive if not as accessible, but are very worth the walk to see them.

The stories of the creation of the Giants Causeway are silly but the rock formations are worth the hike. Beautiful cliffs. Plan for at least 2 hours of moderate hiking.

Great way to make memories with the kids. Nice, well kept trainwith friendly staff and lovely views out to the Atlantic. Travelling between Bushmills and the Giants Causeway 3 times a day. Only a few miles of a walk if you want to stretch the legs in the return route.

A small train runs from Giant Causeway to Bushmills 3 times a day - the last train is at 3:00 pm. Tickets are £8 for adult and £6 for child, plus family discounts. You can take a walk in Bushmills before the next train to Giant Causeway.

It is an absolute wonder of nature that you must not miss. The walk down is 15 minutes to the rocks, and then an additional 10 minutes to other basalt structures in the mountains. The Giant's Causeway is made up of over 40 000 columns of basalt and, together with the wider Causeway Coast, tells the story of the sequence of events at the start of the Palaeogene period, some 60 million years ago.

A bit of a walk but a grand sight to behold. The tour costs but is not necessary to visit the rocks. Even in the light rain, we sat on the rocks and just basked in the aura of this place. People were very talkative on the walk down but most everyone that sat on the rocks seemed to sit quietly, almost as if mesmerised, looking out over the sea.

Great parking very close to the Giants Causeway. I was around 10 min by walking. The parking cost £9 per car. It's included the train but unfortunately the train service wasn't working on 2nd January 2023. They also have toilets.

Very beautiful and very well organised with both parking and shuttle buses - whether you decide to pay the ticket for the experience or just stroll through the giants causeway (you can do so for free), it is definitely worth it. Parking is included in the visitor ticket, but there is a park nearby for 10pounds in case you prefer to visit without the ticket. From the parking it's just a 5 minutes walk to reach the entrance of the giants causeway path

All I can say is ...WOW...this place was amazing! For me, this is a must see in Ireland. Even if you are there just for a few days, if you like nature and geology, this should be in your top 5 things to see. You can easily hike the main parts in 90 minutes. You could hike a longer route that would take another hour. I will not go on with words here. The pics say it all!

10/10 Castle. No signs posted saying to not enter. Getting down to the castle can be difficult as the ground seems to be perpetually damp. In some areas you will sink down up to your ankles. Slipping hazard as it is steep getting down. No barriers to prevent falling. Very steep around the castle and area around the castle. Definitely dangerous and not a place to bring children unless viewing from afar. Definitely worth the trek, but be cautious of footing.

Beautiful place with stunning views of the coast, but there's next to nothing left to see of the "castle". Easy place to park and then do the coast walk to the Giant's Causeway.

Really pretty place, but that's it, 15 minutes it's enough to watch and enjoy this nature marvelous. Unless you want to go far and beyond, there is a track (walking by mud) that you can go to the stones of the castle and also to the sea, may not be legal because you usually jump to get in (I didn't went down, saw a girl with two dogs walking inside). Worths the stop if you are already on this road for other stops, but it's not a place that you should change all your path to visit.

Drop by Dunseverick Castle when on the way to Giant’s Causeway. This place is unbelievable beautiful. Unfortunately during our visit it was raining heavily. We waited for an hour for the rain to stopped and hiked all the way to the castle. It was definitely worth the wait although we got our shoe soaked in water due to heavy rain!

You can walk around the outside grounds without a ticket. National trust membership not valid for castle access.

Combine this Castle with the Falls and Harbour and it makes a really beautiful walk along the coast. There is a well marked trail (if you are paying attention) that keeps you on track.

Beautiful spot. I visited at 7am so wasn't very busy. Sunrise was spectacular. Easy parking and a small picnic area for bbq or snack. Perfect.

Not much left of the castle. Would be nice to have a bit of information about it close by. Regardless it's a beautiful spot for a picnic or to start your coastal walk from. There's free parking for around 20 cars. It's a little boggy in places but worth the steep walk up and down for the views.

Short stroll from a free car park. Part of the Causeway Coastal path, it's a lovely little side trip halfway between Giant's Causeway and Carrick-a-Rede, the two main tourist spots on that bit of coast. A 10 minute walk east, along the coastal path brings you to a gorgeous bay with Dunseverick Falls, bird life and nosey sheep. Worth the walk from here

We used the car park as our starting point to walk to the giants causeway. It's about an 8km walk with great views. But if your just here to visit this castle, be careful. There are a few cliff edges from the car park side, so mind your step. Access is better from the layby and easier to get to

Free walkway along the coast. Free parking but not buggy friendly as the path is very narrow and quite uneven.

After a full day of castles and hiking, this was a great place to pull over for beautiful views with little to no effort on the way back to Ballycastle. There is a parking lot (with height restrictions) on one side with picnic tables, a small pull out spot directly at the viewpoint, and trails that go up either side for different views of the landscape. We didn’t take the trails down into the valley, but it looked like it could prove slippery af on a wet day. There were also maybe 10 people there while we were there, so we loved the lack of crowds. I wouldn’t go here expecting to have an experience like say Dunluce castle, but as a stop that gives you stunning scenery while you have lunch? Then it delivers. Loved it.

There is either a lay by on the road or small car park to park in (with height restrictions). The path going down was confusing and very boggy and slippery. I ended up walking over to the far side of the entrance area to find a way down. Again it was very boggy and sheep poo everywhere. Up the top though there was very nice views. I would rate this higher if it were updated with a gravel path and maybe a railing. I would advise any parents with little children to hold their hands up top as there are basically cliffs edges with potentially slopped slippery grass.

A lovely experience for a really good coastal 9 hole course. Very friendly members. So good we re-booked the society for later in the year.

I haven't played Bushfoot in over 30 years. All I can say is that it is still a great 9 hole course, and the local people are very welcoming. It's definitely well worth playing if you're in the area.

Server extremely rude, we ordered two steaks and when brought to the table they were cooked well done instead of medium, we politely asked if these could be changed, the server brought these to the kitchen then returned and told us that the steaks were medium not well done (untrue) and if we were to return them it would cost her £8 per steak… ?she then practically threw down the remaining dishes to the rest of our party. Unnecessary and unacceptable service, wouldn’t return.

A beautiful course with stunning views. This is the north coasts hidden gem. The greens and the rest of the course were in perfect condition. A challenging 9 hole course with a number of alternative tee boxes for the back 9 and one alternative green. Immaculate undulating fairways that test even the most accurate of golfers. A joy to play as always.

This is the Bushmills Tourist Information office (not the distillery). We stayed in Bushmills as a great base for exploring the area, and advice and information was invaluable. Caroline was very friendly and also knowledgeable, giving really useful tips on places well-known and also those less travelled. An essential resource for tourism in the area.

Brilliant wee farm for all ages. Its not a very large walking area so for older grandparents it's ideal. Play area is great for all kids as something for all ages to play with. Staff are lovely and very friendly. Very reasonably priced. Would recommend a visit. The views from the farm are amazing.

We had the best morning at the Causeway petting farm. Loads of fun stuff to do in the play area, and the foam ball cannons were a big hit. Our son has special needs, and Amanda spent so much time with him to make sure he was comfortable and enjoying interacting with the animals. She's a truly kind person who makes sure every child experiences the magic of the bunnies and lambs. Can't recommend highly enough, particularly to parents of special little people.

Much smaller than we imagined but still a nice place to visit. Small set of falls into the sea. Short walk from lay-by parking above, it probably gets very busy in the summer.

Spectacular, in the right weather! The waterfall discharges directly into the ocean, and with a good swell coming in from the Atlantic, every now and then a wave will surge right up the waterfall itself. Be prepared to get wet, and make sure you're somewhere that's not going to get you washed into the ocean yourself!

As always, the nature of the Island is amazing. Not much to say except visit when you can. 🍀

Lovely place for a stroll and clamber. Half way between Giant's Causeway and Carrick-a-Rede, the two main tourist points on that stretch of coast. You can park at Dunseverick Castle car park (free) and stroll the 8-10 minutes along the coastal path or park near the Falls themselves. Lovely spot.

If your coming to see an exciting waterfall you will be disappointed however, the harbour and rock pools in the surrounding area deserve a 5/5. This spot is a hidden gem and is must for any adventurer.

Even though the weather was wet, we really enjoyed looking around this coastline and photographing this pretty spot where the waterfall meets the sea.

This can either be stunning or a bit of a let down depending on the weather before you visit. It is best seen after some heavy rain on a clear day like I was lucky enough to get as it made for the perfect conditions. The walk along towards the giants causeway has some of the most dramatic stunning views around. Well worth the visit and would highly recommend. Pictures don't do this stretch of coast justice you really have to go and see if for yourself.

A lovely stop off on a walk in this area, it's quite unique to see a waterfall going directly in to the sea. With a bit of easy scrabbling across rocks you can get some good views from different angles. We combined this with a walk from the nearby harbour to the castle ruins and back and it was a pleasant stop off in that context. There's a small car park at the harbour which is free but can get busy.

This off the beaten track waterfall is well worth a visit. Situated between the pier and the castle. The hidden path runs between 2 houses. There's a small carpark almost opposite and another at the castle ruins. We had a picnic and a fantastic cliff top walk back up to the castle. The views are fabulous.

If you have waterproof shoes and no fear of cute sheep, great place. Green grass leads to coastal cliffs and tidewaters. Sheep just wander free nearby, munching grass and wondering why you are invading their living room .

Amazing stretch of coast line, park in the lay-by at the top of the hill and walk down only 5 minutes of moderate walking (no disabled access). Photos say the rest, incredible views and great to watch the waves crashing in. Make sure you stay away from the edge though and supervise children.

Stunning coastal scenery and a beautiful walk. I would recommend parking at the dunseverick Harbour car park, and walking to the falls. It's a great walk but there are steps and hills but nothing to crazy. There's also very well maintened toliets at the carpark.

Nothing fancy here, just two amazing concentric rings built thousands of years ago. No lines, no waiting. Just park and walk on up. Very peaceful.

It is vital that these issues are promptly addressed to ensure the safety of walkers and prevent any accidents or injuries. Additionally, during my walk, I encountered a rather disturbing sight that left me puzzled. I came across a cow nursing her calf, which is a common and heartwarming occurrence in nature. However, what struck me as bizarre was that the nursing cow was also nursing from a different cow. It was an unusual behavior that I hadn't witnessed before, and it certainly caught my attention. While this sight may not directly impact the walking route itself, it was a perplexing observation that added to the mixed experience. Despite these setbacks, it's important to note that the natural beauty of the Causeway and its surroundings remains awe-inspiring. The dramatic coastline, the crashing waves, and the rugged cliffs create a stunning backdrop that is hard to surpass. It's a place that holds immense potential to provide visitors with a remarkable and memorable experience.

Part of the natural walk leading from Portballintrae beach past Runkerry House and around the headland leading to the Giant's Causeway. Exceptionally beautiful on a bright crisp winter's day with crashing waves like Royal icing trickling over the rocks and blue cloudless sky. Wear sturdy boots as the path can be quite muddy and slippery in places and very close to the cliff edge. Also a good idea to stop and admire the view rather than take your eyes off the uneven grass path which has loose stones and rabbit holes and avoid nose-diving over the cliff!

The views from this part of the world are simply amazing. Also to be noted is the memorial commemorating those who lost their lives.

Simple stone built jetty about 3ft wide which leads out to the crashing waves, easy to access from the coastal path with a stone pebble beach leading downward.

Super beautiful view of the sea. The path is surfaced and easy to walk from the Visitor Centre. Just 5 - 10 mins west of the centre. Access to this area is free of charge btw.

Bit of a walk to and from and watch weather and tides but good views and caves to photo and explore.
