Good beach to swim during high tide and to walk around during low tide (you can find starfish). The beach is clean, a lot of restaurants nearby. On the downside, it can be very crowded on sunset

It's not the nicest or best beach in Bali. It is nice if you are staying at one of the resorts along the beach. They actually keep it clean and have lounge chairs out. Other than that, walking down this beach is quite annoying. The vendors hassle you repeatedly to buy things. It's a small path shared by bikers and pedestrians. The stray dogs are everywhere. They are all over the beach and sometimes they into fight with each other. The only area that is nicer is near the resorts. The lane is wider and split for bikers and walkers. The sand isn't soft. It's covered in coral shards and rocks. The hotels have workers raking the sand only in the beach area for their guests. Low tide is a weird time. But you can actually walk out pretty far with the water up to your knees. We stayed at one for the resorts for a few nights and another local hotel. We were able to experience the difference in the way beach is on both ends.

I don't know why this beach is not mentioned in the top 5 beaches in Bali. It is long, very clean, without waves, with many cafes and bars, and water sports. I especially like that there are many trees on the beach itself, so it is possible to lie down in the shade on a towel, you don't have to rent deck chairs. A must visit.

Very popular place to catch sunrise. The international tourists here are popular because most of them are old age. Not like in canggu which the tourists are mostly millennials. Great place to do morning jogging.

Beautiful beach with clear water. Stayed at the Putri Santrian Hotel, excellent staff and clean room. 4 swimming pools, restaurants with an amazing menu. Definitely will go back if and when I’m in Bali again.

I went to Sanur beach as a day trip from Central Ubud. The beach is beautiful. Shallow water with small little pools of water. There are lots of restaurants along this coastline and hotels. You can rent 2 sun loungers with a table and an umbrella while on the beach. I believe it was for 50,000 rupiah. There are also bathrooms you can use since the restaurants are there. Lots of great shopping, many things to do and cheaper than central Ubud. My friend stood in this town and loved it.

In my opinion, the nicest beach in Bali 😍. White sand, clear blue calm water and very clean. It's also not too busy so you can enjoy a lovely stroll along the well maintained beach walk. There's many restaurants, shops and bars along the beach walk and it's a very chill vibe. If you want a more serene and relaxing beach vibe with lovely food then this is the place to go in Bali ☺️

Sanur is a place of many parts. There is the main road and a minor one both running parallel with the coast. In between are lots of alleys and dead ends where, at times you feel you are in a rural village. Lovely to explore on foot or by bike. Then there is the justly famous Sanur Beach Walk, a 5 mile stretch with the ocean on one side and variously resorts, villa gardens, the Le Mayeur Museum, the turtle project and cafès on the other. The beach has places with private resort sunbeds, beach bars with loungers to hire and plain beach with trees for shade. Take your pick. You need a bike to explore the whole length but you can walk bits of it for a pleasant late afternoon stroll. Finally there is Sanur as jumping off point for day trips. I only did one, snorkelling to Nusa Penida, and frankly I wouldn't do it again. The snorkelling is good to very good but the hassle getting there! From leaving my homestay to getting on the actual snorkelling boat was nearly three hours of chaos, hassle and hanging around. I felt we were on a conveyor belt between the 4 or 5 different companies and agencies involved and all taking their cut. In comparison, snorkelling in Menganjan was far more thrilling and we stepped onto the snorkelling boat straight from the beach after a short taxi ride from Pemuteran. But if you have no other opportunities and more patience than I, the fish are lovely, though we didn't see any Manta Rays

Oh Sanur, your beauty is permanent. Swimming here in the morning is always a good idea, the water is clear, the waves are relatively calm, good for kids too. I can spent all day long here.

The worst beach I've ever been to. Garbage dump. Plants everywhere, cans, plastic bottles, bags. I do not recommend this place if you want to spend a few days on the beach. One big dumpster here is the beach and ocean. Disgusting place

Plenty of shops and restaurants. Lots of accommodation choices for your budget. Quiet yet enough going on for most families not seeking night clubs and the party scene. Certainly recommend to first time travellers to Bali. Nice and close to the airport.

Sanur beach promenade is the perfect place if you love walking and that's the main reason we chose Sanur as our home. The beach is not the most beautiful in Bali but we love it because it's relatively quiet and has some amazing restaurants and warungs along the promenade. Lots of trees so not a problem to find a shady area to relax. The water is not very deep even at high tide. Lots of water sport activities that you can enjoy. In our opinion it's worth a visit. Not sure what it will be like when the new shopping center opens.

A lively quiet beach. No waves. Some fishermen and boats. A lovely spot to watch the sunrise. Lots of restaurants, resorts and bars along the foreshore walk. Even some ladies selling Balinese items of clothing. Outside the Hyatt there are tanks with sea turtles being raised to be released back into the wild

Probably my favourite place in Bali. Much more relaxed in Sanur but still with some great hotels , restaurants, bars and cafes located here.p Still plenty of shopping options too. Sanur has a fantastic beach path which is good for walking , cycling or dining at many of the restaurants located along here. Also a great base to visit many of the islands located in the east. Sanur is less hectic and stressful than other options on the west side. Go to Sanur and relax...

One of the quieter beaches in Bali. Still attracts a fair bit of crowds but not like Kuta or Seminyak. Very clean with a beautiful promenade for walking, cycling. Lots of restaurants at yhe Beach side with great views.

A Good Place to bring your Children for education, the Staff are friendly and attentive they will inform you about turtles. If you want to come you can bring some money to support this turtle conservation. Recommended!

A nice place with a great vision for conservation. Places consist of: Large parking areas (before entering the area, you need to pay 5k per car) Entrance spot (fee: as much as you like) 1 big pool of turtle in observation (sick turtles) 1 sandy caged eggs enclosure 1 cluster of small pools (different turtles for each pool, and baby pool in one pool) + counter for adoption Other areas may be not open to visitors There are volunteers and staff working there. I didn't get any guide, so i just followed the previous crowd. Staff there are very informative. Overall area are clean, but there must be improvements on the facilities, may be more signs, so people can read more (in case they did not get any guide). May be more welcoming service, etc. (You knoe there are lots of ways to have interesting conservation places) Oh you can also adopt baby turtles and send them off. (Around 230k, if im not mistaken)

This was a brilliant experience! We were greeted by a tour guide who was so informative. He went through each turtle and their story to rehabilitation and the goals to have them reintroduced to the wild. The work that is being done here is so wonderful for the sustainability of sea turtles. Free to get in. Donation is requested. You can also adopt a turtle if they have some new babies. You then take the turtle/s out on a boat to release them! Such a beautiful experience!

It is not a tourist attraction place! People there take care of the wounded turtles who often had been rescued from the hunters and some won't be able to survive on their own in the wilderness. I was lucky to listen to the lecture about the 7 living species of turtles and ways of preventing their disappearance. If you visit the place, you can make a donation, as some turtles even need surgeries. There is also an option to adopt and name a baby turtle (only 150k-10€! Is nothing) which helps the stuff to provide food for the adopted turtle and they make sure the baby turtle makes its way to the sea when it's strong enough.

I really love this place. Remind me how to keep the turtle exist. You can see the turtles and baby turtles there. Also you can adopt and release baby turtle to the beach near there. Enjoyyyyy!

One of the highlights of our entire trip and entrance is free (donation’s appreciated though) The centre staff are very friendly and will explain all you need to know as you go around. You see so many turtles! From eggs to babies to adults. Most of the turtles here have been rescued from illegal trade and are visibly injured (missing fin etc) so it’s nice to know they’ve been saved and they only keep them if they’re deemed as unsafe by a dr for the sea. While we was there we was lucky enough that there was eggs that had hatched that morning and still some hatching! We also adopted one turtle and set him free into the sea! (For a small fee). A MUST DO!

This place is doing a wonderful job helping the turtles. The ones they have in the tanks are injured or sick and they are giving them medications/antibiotics to help them get better, once they are better they will release them back into the ocean. Some have also been saved from people who kill the turtles to eat them. They gave us a nice tour explaining who was in each tank and their specific conditions of why they are there. We got to feed the turtles some greens also, it was really nice. Overall great place.

The centre and staff really dedicate to the conservation of turtles. Unlike many other places, they do not charge an entrance fee. They fund the place by offering turtles for adoption, where you name a turtle and they release it for you - adoption is completely optional and they do not pressure you in handing over money. While there is a pool with a few larger turtles that ‘look sad’, the staff explain that those turtles were rescued and are missing limbs or have a broken shell, and therefore cannot be released into the sea. Don’t jump to conclusions, these guys do great work!

Heartwarming to see the efforts done here. Volunteers are super nice and show you around. I was very moved by the visit. Besides the fact that the work being done here is vital and important, the turtles are so nice and cute and amusing.

Very good place to visit. It is good that there is such a place who took care of the turtles. The staff is very helpful and explanatory. There is no entrance fee, but you can leave donation. Also you can play and take photo with baby turtles 😀

These gals and guys here are awesome volunteers, rescuing, treating and rehabilitating turtles that were saved from poachers, were decapitated by boat propellers or gotten entangled in fish nets and got decapitated by infections or worst...ingested plastics which look like jelly fishes floating in the water! No entry fee is charged here but do donate generously if you ever visited. Your donations goes towards the upkeep of this dilapidated facility and care of its unfortunate patients.

Well worth a visit. It’s about 20 minutes from the airport so an easy last stop! This non-profit centre is free entry with the option of making a donation. Turtle eggs hatching, baby turtles and some older ones rehabilitating before they can be released back into the sea. The volunteers are doing an excellent job and it was really interesting.

Great concept and good what they are doing. Just didn't feel welcome there coming by myself and told I was able to walk around. I was hoping one of the personnel would come and explain some things to me, but most of the large crew just sat there chatting with each other, ignoring the customers/donors. Only a few were dedicated walking around with some couples. The only person who showed me any real attention was some "taxi" driver sitting inside the compound, wanting much more than Grab would charge. Got myself a Grab im under a minute and left. Would have given a generous donation, but after the poor treatment no thanks!

We had such a good time here! We had someone to show us around and give us so much information about the turtle species and what they do for them at the conservation. It was a really great experience and we got to feed some turtles. They accept donations and it is so worth it!

I was so happy we made this stop on our last day! The entrance is free and suggest you make a donation to the organization. We were greeted by a volunteer who gave us a tour and explained everything. Most of the turtles are rescued from the black market and are missing a fin, or injured shell. The highlight of the tour was the baby sea turtles that were born that morning! We were able to hold them and learn about their care before they are released back to the ocean. The oldest turtle there is 90!! I would highly recommend visiting this place and supporting what they do. *note that they had just cleaned the tanks and were refilling them with water (which is why one of the images shows a tank partially full).

It was good and we just not lucky that our boat the engine is broken so we stuck for 5 hour from gili - lombok- after leaving lombok engine is broken so we have to find the closest harbour, waiting for the boat get fix but does’t success so they have to change to a new boat (partner with another company) and taking us from lombok- nusa penida- Sanur thats long day in a boat. but they are organized and have a good customer service. They pick up and drop off at the hotel and had good commincation about our reservation. If we go to Gili again we would probably just fly from Lombok because many people were sick on the boat from big waves and the condition is also hot with no breeze. Watch my video 🙏

This boat is more expensive than other boats, but you get what you pay for when it comes to transportation to/from Bali and the Gilis. The service is fantastic and they include pick up/drop off. My one way ticket 760k IDR and included pick up. The biggest thing to note, and one of the biggest benefits imo, is that this boat leaves out of Serangan Harbor which is much more convenient for those staying and/or flying out of Bali. Most of the boats are about 1.5 hours drive from Kuta but this one is only about 20 minutes from most drop off points near the airport. When I arrived in Bali the car picked me up the next day, right on time, took care of my luggage, and had a super smooth boarding process including paying the harbor tax up front so you're not waiting in an endless line on Gili T to pay the fee when you arrive. When I left Gili they took my luggage at the office and loaded it onto the boat so you don't have to worrying about navigating foot traffic with your bag. The boat itself is super comfortable and offers both indoor and outdoor (upper deck) seating on actual seats (I fell asleep on the bench style seat which was padded). Arriving back in Bali it's a very efficient process where they have you sit at the table of where you're going so the drivers can get you immediately and help with bags and drop off. They also offer sea sickness medications free of charge if you need it. They also have food and drinks you can purchase while you wait. I've heard lots of horror stories about cheaper boats being crammed, rough rides, etc but I experienced none of this. If you arrive in Gili there are also horse and carriages waiting if you're staying farther along the island, but if you're staying on the main strip a lot of dive resorts and hotels are walkable even with luggage (I had a big suitcase full of dive gear). The way back from Gili T it was a very rainy day and the boat ride was still smooth and seamless. I highly recommend this company, even with the higher price point, if you want to take away any and all stress/worries about efficiently and comfortably getting to the Gilis.

Extremely professional. Excellent service and very friendly staff, they explained everything, the boat was new and clean and fast, sunscreen and water provided. Staff happy to answer any questions about the islands and places. Left on time and arrived early. When we got to gili-trawangan the island staff helped organised a horse to get to our hotel, not the cheapest but Im happy to pay more for a safe premium transport. We travelled in April and the ocean was flat and no major swell.

Gili Getaway is a wonderful choice! Their staff are always friendly, helpful and professional. The seats are comfortable and they make the journey an enjoyable experience.

We picked gili gateway from its reviews, and so glad we did. Seamless hotel pick up and check in, straight on the boat with hardly any wait. Our ride over was smooth as conditions were flat. Staff are friendly. Leaving from gili T the wharf is packed with people cuing on the wharf with their luggage, but Gili gateway took our bags off our hands and we had our own area to wait at check in. When the boat arrived we were able to walk through the crowd without our luggage and get straight on the boat. Couldn’t be happier with the service and quality !

This is one of the more expensive fast boats. However, they don’t have air condition. Next time I’m going with blue water expressway again which was more convenient for the same price.

After seeing some bad reviews from other boat companies I decided to go with this one and it was the best choice ever. It’s not the cheapest company but I can assure that it’s for sure the best choice. After seeing the amount of people on the other boats (the same size) and the extension of the waiting queues, I couldn’t be more happier with Gili Getaway. Departed and arrived on time (so you better do the check-in exactly 30 minutes prior). The staff is super friendly and helpful. If you want to catch a ferry but do not want to feel the waves/choppiness of the sea just go by plane instead lol. The sea is unpredictable and the captain behaved and drove the boat really well. Never felt I was in danger. Would repeat with them! 🙏🏼

Amazing service - 100% recommend ! I heard some horror stories of other ferries from others and this was nothing like that, very much worth the price. They do pickup and drop off (well coordinated), handle luggage, ran perfectly on time and had plenty of room on the boat. I lost my ticket but they had everything backed up in the computer system so there were no issues. They give seasick pills if you need it, but I felt fine.

Very professional, reliable, great service. This is the one ferry company on Bali and Lombok that I would recommend. Several leagues above the rest.

Smooth journey to Gili Air with diligent and efficient boat crew. Check in at Gili Air didn’t seem as well organised or as welcoming as Sarangan and we were keeping a close watch for our boat, but were pleasantly surprised when they came and collected us from the waiting area about 5 minutes before the boat arrived. They let the children choose what movie to put on which was a nice touch. It is expensive compared to competitors but the service is top notch, it felt safe, payment was easy, regular email contact and no quibble refund of additional hotel transfer fee (we planned to stay outside of their included transfer area) when our plans changed last minute. Well organised hotel transfer on return. Cold towels on arrival. A company that cares about customer service.

We had a great trip from Gili T back to Bali. I was a bit sceptical of how they requested the payment be made but was very happy with their prompt email communication. The check-in process at Gili T was easy and the boat was spacious comfortable and clean. Once we got back to Bali the hotel transfer was very organised and quick. My boat trip over was a bit traumatic with another company. I was very impressed with Gili Getaway. I would book them next time. 10/10.

We booked a trip to Gili Trawangan from Sanur. It cost over $100 AUD. We boarded the boat, then about 15 minutes into the trip, the boat ride to Gili T was cancelled. The harbour closed due to bad weather, so they had to return to Sanur. They said we could either catch a plane, try again tomorrow, or get a refund. We chose to get a refund. They took our details. So far, we've not received the refund but they gave us details to track it.

Perfect experience! We had 3 trips with Gili Get Away and are completely satisfied. The staff was very nice and we felt safe at all times. What was very special was the incredibly good service. They were always quickly reachable via WhatsApp and helped us with everything, even when we had to change our travel plans spontaneously. We would book with Gili Getaway again anytime and highly recommend it to anyone! Thanks for everything! :-)

We have booked our trips to Gili Trawangan with them, including hotel pick up and dropp off. Our good experience started the day befor our departure, we have contacted via whatsapp for paperwork and final confirmations, transferred to the port, very smooth comfortable check in both onward and outward, clean waiting area, clean toilets… The rides both way was very smooth, internet access free water and cold towels, info on ride were all perfect. Additional hotel pick up and Transfer fees were very normal and reasonable with the air conditioned vans driven safely. Thanks 🙏

I have a lot memories here. A very cool place and full of crowds, there are so many new things that have developed since the last time I was here. I'm happy i can go here again.

This beach is easy to find because it is located in Denpasar, Sanur which is a famous area in Bali. Such a family-friendly beach. The waves here are so calm so it is safe for kids to swim here. Go here around 6 AM so you can enjoy the beautiful sunrise and clear water when there are not many people around. Everything is easy to find, from toilets and local restaurants, rent a bike for 20k/hour, a scooter for 50k/1 hour, and a kayak for 15k. There are a lot of activities you can do including jogging and a lot of visitors also bring their pets. It is a must to buy Lumpia if you go here, delicious and cheap only costing 5k/portion. The seller is so friendly and they are really responsible for our food waste. You just need to pay 2k/motorbike to come here. Definitely will come back.

This is the stretch of beach in Sanur, near the sindhu hotel. Its popular, the beach is a white sandy beach, but there are many shallow reefs that get exposed at low tide. Careful. On the shore there are many restaurants, warungs and so on. A pedestrian and a cycling path is between the water and the restaurants. It is busy and cozy to be.

Been there 3 times now, and I cannot but advise you, if you have the opportunity to visit Sanur, there is no place else to be. Nice temp all year round, very friendly Balinese people, good food at reasonable prices. Accommodations from (very) cheap till 5* resorts. All you need (or want) for a relaxed stay .....

Very good spot for viewing sunrise. There are many local foods. I bought a very big portion of mix rice but with only Rp5.000

We moved to Sanur from Ubud for this night market and it’s so worth it! - the green stand: best Soto Ayam (turmeric chicken soup) I’ve had in Bali! - blue stands: (next to Soto ayam) amazing soursop/ papaya/ dragon fruit smoothie, and chicken noodle soup (mie ayam!) - try the capcay as well! - no picture: amazing gado-gado salad in the middle of the market! Very kind lady. It’s not a fancy place so do expect imperfections: bring wet wipes, mosquitoes repellent :)

Like others have said, it is a relatively small night market. Maybe 10 to 12 different stalls. Hygiene and germaphobes should probably avoid this place. What didlike is the lack of transparency on pricing. At many of these places. You see a menu but no idea of the pricing. When asking about price of different dishes, I find that their prices can be 25 to 50% higher than local warung It appears that it is more touristy than anything else. I did see locals but foreigners way out numbered the locals in this so-called night market.

Sanur night markets, good traditional Indonesian style food, cheap and tasty

Quite a nice place to visit and have some cheap street foods. 20k rupiah for sate ayam. Some nice desserts. There is some small shops around and outside there is some fruitvendors selling cheap tropical fruits

I can see now after pandemic there are more people come visit this market. For your improvement I would suggest the organizer to change the layout of the tenants and seating position, I felt it would be better all the tenants keep on the edge and all seating position move in to the middle so we can feel more breeze and more space than seating position per vendor.

I went there at 12:30pm. Sadly there was nothing. I guess the building is wet market every early mornings while the little square in front of the building is street food market from late afternoons. So, make sure you pick the right timing to find what you are looking for in this place.

Amazing sates! 10 sticks of chicken sates is 15k and I0 stickers of mutton sates is 25k. Very affordable!

Make sure to stop buy the fresh fruit juice box. It’s delicious and cheap! Overall not the best place to eat (food was not tasty), but the fresh fruit stands and juice are well worth the visit!

An interesting experience but only 5 or so stalls. We had the Ayam sate (chicken satay skewers). They were delicious and cheap but it was about a 25+ minute wait and locals will be served before you. Also had a terung bulan pancake with chocolate and banana. Delicious! Wouldn’t go back but worth the authentic experience.

Inexpensive and good tasty food. I felt like I was in the real Bali here. Very comfortable and I liked that I could walk around and eat food quickly, support the people of Bali and there foods. I had the best Sate lamb here from the vendor in the video. The sauce was perfect. They we're Muslim in the far right in the corner and they had an amazing lamb soup. There was another vendor who had chicken soup as you can see in my photo, it was really good too. If you're bougie, don't come here. This is for the real one's.

After entering, go to the very right and the first shop is where I ate. Sate Kambling 25k and Rice 5k. Then had dessert from the same row from an old gentleman. One strawberry doughnut costs 1k. Around 20 to 25 stalls were there I think and a few clothing shops too. If you are in the area, you can visit.

Have Basko Sapi(beef meatball), a couple run this warung well, clean and neat, soup is good and the meatballs have different tastes, should come and try if you are around Sanur!

No customers and many empty shelves. No bread. Liquor area shut. No AC!!! What’s the point of even opening like this? All Transmart stores are the same.

Carrefour supermarket has closed and now it’s a super dull, boring and empty like a ghost town no-brand market. On the top floor there is Transmart which is probably running at a loss. It’s almost completely empty, no air conditioning (!) a clear sign of decline. The produce and bakery shelves are half empty. The new Transmart seems to have inherited a lot more space than it can make use of, so they just separated half of the floor with shelves and left the other half empty. This place is not worth visiting, at least for the lack of AC. Go to Transmall instead, which also has a much more pleasant Transmart.

Top floor has a massive Supermarket Department store. Very few customers. Selling all groceries, bakery, souvenirs, Electronics, Home furniture, Natural body products, Bags etc. 1st floor has toys, clothes & an Amusement centre for kids. A&W & KFC also here.

Alert!!! Not a Carrefour supermarket anymore. It is just a local local supermarket without fresh food and no aircon in this place.

I visited several months ago and yes this place is not in its former glory but I still give it five stars to support the employees and the Balinese in general. Prices are fixed and cheap for anything you can think of including clothing, souvenirs, food, drink and electrical. I will definitely return to this shopping centre next time I visit Bali in the near future. Please disregard all the poor reviews over the past few months and go there yourself and meet with the friendly staff at all the various shops and you’ll be pleasantly surprised. Yes you will not be overwhelmed with bright lights or a circus like atmosphere with fun and frivolity, but if you want to do some down to earth shopping with great value then this is definitely the place to go and you won’t have to bargain on the street and get ripped off.

Don’t go out of your way to get to this place. Almost all shops closed and their stock seems to be managed by Transmart somehow. You will be buying old stuff, some not in good condition, at a small discount.

Spacious parking area. This place needs more maintenance, some parts of the area are very hot and humid. The staff needs more training and briefing about the products they sell. A little bit smile will be great for customers. Keep it up!

One of the biggest supermarket in denpasar. The building itself is kinda old but still well managed and they regularly do maintenance here and there. The supermarket is huge and have a wide range of products from electronics, clothing and daily need. There are some stores outside the supermarket along with a foodcourt and some foodstalls. The parking lot is spacious.

I'm not so keen on Carrefour. I really don't like their parking arrangements for motorbikes for example and they open very late, at 10am. I think it's also quite expensive compared to other supermarkets. The pastry selection is good, but they are weak on bread. Fruits and vegetables are expensive (three times as much as the local market). They have some great stuff for baby & mum though.

This is a great place to shop for everything there is to shop. There are food courts, electronics shops, souvenirs, supermarket and some fast food restaurants (Wendy's, KFC and A&W). There is a bakery shop inside this supermarket which sells variety of cakes and buns and many more. Bottom point is you will be able to get all the thing you need and you dont want too (oops i did it again...)

Everything i wanted under i roof. Transport was convenient and plenty. Using Grab is almost cheaper by half, at least by me. Price was very reasonable. Vegetables and fruits were fresh. Indeed a one stop convenient stop

I feel very lucky to find this shop in Sanur. the Location is easy to reach, from any Resorts and Hotels from Beach, just opposite side of Hardy's. Lio, the optician examined my eyesight with Astigmatism very carefully and professionally! The lense quality is super in 5 quailties! (anti- reflective, scratch-resistant,Dust- repellent, oil- repellent, water-repellent) which I had no such lense qualities before. Friendly, professional service, the top quality lense, diverse options of styleframe, the fair honest price! exellent shop! My eyes are very comfortable, happy with new reading glass! Travelling through Sanur and my prescription glasses broke on one side. The gentleman in this shop was incredibly helpful and went out of his way to repair the glasses very quickly. I was really grateful. Very skilled and also a nice range of frames, lense options and contact lenses, solutions and eye drops. Super impressed.

We went to Top Optic initially to have a screw replaced in one of our glasses. The screw was replaced for free. On looking around we found a lot of glass frames that we don't see in Australia. We decided to buy some new glasses. While the frames and lenses cost a bit. The quality of the lenses was top shelf and the cost was a lot cheaper then if we had bought something similar in Australia. I had new lenses put in some older frames that I brought with me. I was very impressed with the service & the price for changing over. I had my existing prescription copied onto the new lenses on a Wednesday & my spectacles were ready by the Friday of the same week. Was visiting Sanur on holidays and decided to get some new reading glasses. Had a free eye test and there was a lot of effort put in to get the prescription exactly right. The best eye test I have ever had. Very affordable and the glasses were ready in under 72 hours. Great attention to detail and friendly service!

I went here because I had somehow lost one of the nose pads from my sunglasses. Rather than buy a cheap pair for the rest of my stay, I found these folks on Google. They replaced both nose pads, ultrasonically cleaned my glasses and polished them, all for half the price of a cup of coffee. All done in about five minutes. Can’t rate that service highly enough.

The house itself is beautiful with exquisite carvings. Lovely garden and pond, too. (-) The house, furniture and painting collection needs immediate restoration. Perhaps a collaboration of professionals from Indonesia and. Belgium. I see termites everywhere. The lighting needs adjustment since it reflects on the glasses that protect the paintings, making it hard to enjoy the paintings. Some windows need to be blocked, the direct sunlight is damaging the paintings. They recently increased the entry ticket price. Rp.30.000 for Indonesian nationals/adults and Rp.100.000 for foreigners.

Overall a very nice museum to see some cool paintings from various different mediums, as well as furniture and photographs from the past. There are 2 buildings which house the collection, but it seems that one of them seems to be not finished. A bit more signs to explain the context and the history of the place and better care for the collection should definitely be added for the future. Definitely a nice little detour if you have the time, would take around 15 minutes 👍. Remember to not take any photographs of the collection!

It's a house museum who use to be the home of this Belgium painter called Le Mayeur, he lived and worked there with his Balinese companion and was even put under house arrest by the Nazis during Second World War. The place is beautiful and the whole experience was very interesting. Plus it's right by the beach 5/5.

Amazing artworks in uncommon media painted by a maestro. They have to reconstruct the display lighting to make the painting clearly visible. Take out the spotlight from the ceiling. The light reflection is covering the artworks. Put the led inside or behind the glass cover, so it still brightens the paintings but not disturbing the spectator.

Great little museum / gallery of his work in his old home. The quality of the works are excellent and made more special by realising these were the very rooms of the home they lived in. Will take my daughter when we return. It’s a great spot to stop if you’re riding bikes up and down the promenade and was better than we expected- really interesting and worth it.

Well worth the stroll up Sanur beach to see this. First a sumptuous example of 1930s Balinese architecture and décor set in peaceful gardens with the sound of the ocean just over the wall; second to see the works of the Belgian artist who settled here, Le Mayeur. Personally I preferred the impressionistic oil paintings of landscapes and harbour scenes to the (numerous) aquarelles and drawings of bare-breasted Balinese women. Just saying.

This museum is rich in history and valuable paintings in a strategic location by the beach but lack of maintenance. It needs more preservation efforts to rejuvenate this place to attract more visitors.

Small, intimate museum about a Belgian-Balinese odd couple whose love story promoted intrigue and outrage (a Belgian artist in his 50s takes a 15 year old Balinese girl to be his lover, and eventually, his wife). Interesting little corner of Balinese history but the artworks are so badly preserved: the 'museum' is actually Le Mayeur and Pollok's home, donated by them after their death, and there is no air conditioning so the paintings have decayed in the sea air.

A Good Place to bring your Children for education, the Staff are friendly and attentive they will inform you about turtles. If you want to come you can bring some money to support this turtle conservation. Recommended!

A nice place with a great vision for conservation. Places consist of: Large parking areas (before entering the area, you need to pay 5k per car) Entrance spot (fee: as much as you like) 1 big pool of turtle in observation (sick turtles) 1 sandy caged eggs enclosure 1 cluster of small pools (different turtles for each pool, and baby pool in one pool) + counter for adoption Other areas may be not open to visitors There are volunteers and staff working there. I didn't get any guide, so i just followed the previous crowd. Staff there are very informative. Overall area are clean, but there must be improvements on the facilities, may be more signs, so people can read more (in case they did not get any guide). May be more welcoming service, etc. (You knoe there are lots of ways to have interesting conservation places) Oh you can also adopt baby turtles and send them off. (Around 230k, if im not mistaken)

This was a brilliant experience! We were greeted by a tour guide who was so informative. He went through each turtle and their story to rehabilitation and the goals to have them reintroduced to the wild. The work that is being done here is so wonderful for the sustainability of sea turtles. Free to get in. Donation is requested. You can also adopt a turtle if they have some new babies. You then take the turtle/s out on a boat to release them! Such a beautiful experience!

It is not a tourist attraction place! People there take care of the wounded turtles who often had been rescued from the hunters and some won't be able to survive on their own in the wilderness. I was lucky to listen to the lecture about the 7 living species of turtles and ways of preventing their disappearance. If you visit the place, you can make a donation, as some turtles even need surgeries. There is also an option to adopt and name a baby turtle (only 150k-10€! Is nothing) which helps the stuff to provide food for the adopted turtle and they make sure the baby turtle makes its way to the sea when it's strong enough.

One of the highlights of our entire trip and entrance is free (donation’s appreciated though) The centre staff are very friendly and will explain all you need to know as you go around. You see so many turtles! From eggs to babies to adults. Most of the turtles here have been rescued from illegal trade and are visibly injured (missing fin etc) so it’s nice to know they’ve been saved and they only keep them if they’re deemed as unsafe by a dr for the sea. While we was there we was lucky enough that there was eggs that had hatched that morning and still some hatching! We also adopted one turtle and set him free into the sea! (For a small fee). A MUST DO!

This place is doing a wonderful job helping the turtles. The ones they have in the tanks are injured or sick and they are giving them medications/antibiotics to help them get better, once they are better they will release them back into the ocean. Some have also been saved from people who kill the turtles to eat them. They gave us a nice tour explaining who was in each tank and their specific conditions of why they are there. We got to feed the turtles some greens also, it was really nice. Overall great place.

The centre and staff really dedicate to the conservation of turtles. Unlike many other places, they do not charge an entrance fee. They fund the place by offering turtles for adoption, where you name a turtle and they release it for you - adoption is completely optional and they do not pressure you in handing over money. While there is a pool with a few larger turtles that ‘look sad’, the staff explain that those turtles were rescued and are missing limbs or have a broken shell, and therefore cannot be released into the sea. Don’t jump to conclusions, these guys do great work!

These gals and guys here are awesome volunteers, rescuing, treating and rehabilitating turtles that were saved from poachers, were decapitated by boat propellers or gotten entangled in fish nets and got decapitated by infections or worst...ingested plastics which look like jelly fishes floating in the water! No entry fee is charged here but do donate generously if you ever visited. Your donations goes towards the upkeep of this dilapidated facility and care of its unfortunate patients.

Well worth a visit. It’s about 20 minutes from the airport so an easy last stop! This non-profit centre is free entry with the option of making a donation. Turtle eggs hatching, baby turtles and some older ones rehabilitating before they can be released back into the sea. The volunteers are doing an excellent job and it was really interesting.

Great concept and good what they are doing. Just didn't feel welcome there coming by myself and told I was able to walk around. I was hoping one of the personnel would come and explain some things to me, but most of the large crew just sat there chatting with each other, ignoring the customers/donors. Only a few were dedicated walking around with some couples. The only person who showed me any real attention was some "taxi" driver sitting inside the compound, wanting much more than Grab would charge. Got myself a Grab im under a minute and left. Would have given a generous donation, but after the poor treatment no thanks!

We had such a good time here! We had someone to show us around and give us so much information about the turtle species and what they do for them at the conservation. It was a really great experience and we got to feed some turtles. They accept donations and it is so worth it!

I was so happy we made this stop on our last day! The entrance is free and suggest you make a donation to the organization. We were greeted by a volunteer who gave us a tour and explained everything. Most of the turtles are rescued from the black market and are missing a fin, or injured shell. The highlight of the tour was the baby sea turtles that were born that morning! We were able to hold them and learn about their care before they are released back to the ocean. The oldest turtle there is 90!! I would highly recommend visiting this place and supporting what they do. *note that they had just cleaned the tanks and were refilling them with water (which is why one of the images shows a tank partially full).

The monument is absolutely huge and amazing! We loved it! You can walk around in the beautiful garden and inside the monument, and there's even an indoor water fountain with a spiral staircase in the middle where you can go up and see the history exhibition about Bali. Wonderful architecture with tragic history. Highly recommend to see!

Bajra Sandhi is a monument built in 1987 to commemorate the struggles of the Balinese people over the years. It is Bali's largest public park for both locals and tourists to enjoy freely without charge, It is situated in Renon, the island's "main district" long long ago, you can see old architecture and more antiquity the more northern you go in Denpasar. If you're wanting to see Bali's communal beauty and history, visiting this park is a must. It is incredibly ambient and peaceful, you can visit at all times of the day even at noon, since the trees greatly help with providing shade amidst the heat, it is a large park in a not so densely-housed area, there's also a nearby smaller park only 2.5 km (1.4 miles) away. It is less dense and larger then you might thought. It's over 1.5 km (1 Mile) for one walk around the park's perimeter. Today, many still exercise around the park and many children here play soccer and basketball, not the mention it's incredibly safe thanks to the hospitality of the locals, and also considering the fact that this area is near major government & police offices and buildings. there's many restaurants and shops nearby, as well as many crossings in the road. If your still in the park you can find people offering snacks and even cold drinks at local prices.

Entry ticket is IDR 25,000 for locals (usually they charhe higher for foreign visitors). You can find a museum inside the temple-style monument. I’m so glad I visited this monument dedicated to the past struggles of the Balinese. It’s a very beautiful monument with lovely grounds & a magnificent view from the top. The inside houses a museum with diorama of past wars and the resilience of the Balinese. All in all a very enjoyable experience with very few people.

Nice area. We didn't get to go inside because it was closed but the monument is beautiful from the outside. The park is very alive, with people doing all kind of activities. Its in the center of Denpasar so its worth a visit if you are near by.

Bajra Sandhi left me speechless. The little structure is magnificent. There was almost nobody when I visited, in the middle of the afternoon. I paid the entrance 50k. You can roam around and take as many pictures as needed. There is a little museum inside about the colonized past of Indonesia, with a few pictures and some dioramas which are pretty impressive. There is also some art in the main place. It's a relaxing place for culture lovers. You also have a nice view up there through the windows.

A very nice monument, the museum inside tells you about the history of Bali and the Balinese fight for independence. The architecture inside and outside looks amazing. There is a spiral staircase that leads you to the top with a view of the surroundings. Around the monument, there is a huge field for jogging, playing, hanging out, and many street vendors. Needs a little bit of upkeep for the diorama, but definitely recommend.

We had an amazing time at this beautiful garden. The entrance fee includes a tour with the manager of the garden. She was very knowledgeable and taught us about all of the flowers. We then had a delicious lunch at the cafe. The garden was quiet and peaceful and is definitely a hidden gem.

Just like it's name, thia place is full of orchids. They have wide range of orchids flower. But not only garden full of orchids but they also have restaurant. The food is delicious especially the traditional balinese food.

In the garden you can find a variety of plants, especially orchids. Local entrance ticket between 30K-60K ( just entrance ticket ya)

Good place for orchid/plants fanatics. Not very big place. Went there on a dry month so not much plants were on bloom. The guide was very accommodating to questions regarding planting and other stuffs.

A lovely place - beautiful gardens, lots of amazing plants and flowers. One of the staff showed us around and described the different ways they grow them, how they propagate and cross pollinate, different growth mediums, etc. Cafe with a great breeze and selection of food, and amazing purple lychee drink! We spent 2-3 hrs walking around!

Beautifully curated selections of orchids and other plants. We had a nice stroll around the garden and one of the staffs was showing us around and telling us about the place and the plants. They also have a nice restaurant overlooking the garden. Recommended to anyone who enjoys orchids and into gardening.

You get some really fun photos and someone takes them for you but it's not cheap. Still if it's a wet day it's great fun! 100,000 rupiah for entry for adults or kids over 1.2m tall. 50,000 for younger kids. We did it as a side trip to other things. You only need to allow about 15 mins plus any waiting time if it's busy

We visited here in Nov 2019 . But writing review now . Best place for funny photography. We loved this place . It contains different rooms with different settings and different furniture.. thier staff will.click your picture with your mobile phone.and then u vl have to invert those pics . Thats upside down ... children will enjoy it .

Beratan Lake is a shallow lake with the high caldera about 1231 meters above sea level. Located at Bedugul, one of the famous tourist destination. This lake have wide 3,8 km2 and also its deepness is up to 22 meters. The water volume in this lake is about 0,049 km3, so Beratan Lake is the closed lake. Tourist can access this lake through the dock which have been provided or desist around the temple ( Ulun Danu temple ) In this place, the visitor can do various activities like doing recreation to look around in dock as well as other outdoor activities. The various water recreation activities can also be conducted here, for example riding the boat motorize to circle the lake, parasailing, canoeing with the traditional boat, banana boating, water skiing, also others. Fishing activities are also available in this places for who one love fishing in the lake.

It was expensive for this site (adult 100, kids50). It took only under 20 minutes to see all. And their credit card reader didn’t work.

Great place to take the kids. Take your time going through the rooms, but if you're fast staff will allow you to go round again. They do update the rooms so worth repeat visits. Not too busy at all.

In general, it is interesting experience. However, I removed one star because of the overall feeling of grubbiness. It would require some deep cleaning to shine again. The rest room is in bad shape as well. Another star was removed because of the overall lack of safety feeling. Some of the items, like the whole double bed, seems to be held by a few wires only. See the attached picture. The parking is limited and has some construction leftover trash on it. The pricing is 100K Rp per adult and 50K Rp per child.

It is a small place for a 100k entry fee. The staff were courteous and helped in taking pics. Gave good pose ideas. But the time spent here could not be more than 10 minutes. If you have nothing else to do in Bali then come here. The pics are taken on your phone. It has ample parking space and has cold beverages for sale.

Beautiful and amazing temple from start to finish. They require you to wear a sarong to cover your legs but will lend you one for free if you don't have your own. You might want to consider hiring a guide to give you a guided tour to give you the history of the sites of the temple and help you to take photos as they know all the best angles and spots. They are not expensive and are worth it. There are lots of tourists there bathing in the holy water, we didn't have time to but I would have if we did. Really recommend this temple.

A beautiful temple with enough place to sit peacefully and worship. It is highly recommended to do the spiritual cleansing/purification ritual in the temple. The temple authority provides for the traditional sarongs and there is enough place for changing clothes and lockers are available for storing your stuff while you worship.

Was a lovely experience. Recommend to bring a towel and read up about the meaning of each fountain and the process before you go. You can pay someone to photograph you on the day. It is one of the most authentic Balinese experiences you can enjoy in Ubud.

Holy temple for Balinese Hinduism. It's a place to cleanse yourself. The locker/changing rooms should be much cleaner. Also, stop with those tourist cleansing on days/times that locals are cleansing. Most of the tourist just want to do it for fun. Is has no meaning for them. But they get in de way and make the waiting time much longer.

Nice temple. You can definitely live the Balinese culture and experience the holy water blessing ritual. It is however a well-built tourist trap. The temple’s flow is built in a way that exposes you to both fruit selling ladies at the entrance and a labyrinth of touristy shops towards the exit. Both tourists and locals are welcome to go through the ritual, keep in mind the entrance fee is slightly higher for tourists. It is definitely worth visiting when exploring the neighboring sites, however I wouldn’t go out of my way to visit.

Amazing temple - architecture, spiritual and cultural aspect to be experienced. Don’t miss it in your trip to Bali, Ubud. We had a great experience, we sat down and medicated for few minutes. Early morning visit is better to beat the crowd.

Beautiful historic temple. Took part in a Hindu bathing/cleansing ritual. Very spiritual experience. Peaceful environment despite the amount of visitors. Watched temple offerings being prepared. Local guides available at a cost, or just explore for yourself.

Totally worth the trip, cleansing with holy water and beautiful ancient architecture. It has nature springs and fish pools, thousands of years old trees too. Better bring a sarong of your own for bathing. Entrance fee cash only. Bring dry clothes for change after if you want to go in the pool.

This was by far my favorite Hindu Temple that I've been too. Very nice place I did not do the cleaning pool thing. This is just my view but unless you practice the Hindu Religion their is no point to it. Your just in the way of the people who do practice that Religion. 05/08/2022

Learned so much about the culture the temple has to offer. We were fortunate enough to experience it on the day the village was doing their ceremony. Absolutely beautiful how this place is constructed. The holy water comes from the spring and flows right out of the spouts where you can cleanse yourself. Put this place on your planner if you’re coming!

Beautiful temple with waters to bathe and cleanse your spirit/soul. My family and I all went in and unfortunately we hit a bit of a line, but overall it was a cool experience. I would recommend water shoes because the ground is a bit rocky. There are changing rooms and lockers to rent out.

Lovely place, with a nice experience on top if you'd like to take part. From what I noticed, the water will be fairly cold so do prepare for the purification process. A sarong is offered, so that you can get around the place. They offer some facilities like lockers, change rooms, bathrooms...and don't forget to bargain if you intend to buy anything once you leave as there are plenty of shops.

One of the main attractions at this Temple is to enter the baths and cleanse your mind and body. It is incredibly busy and you will need to allow time to get changed. You must dress appropriately (Sarongs are issued free of charge) This temple sit directly below one of the many presidential homes. So access to some areas are restricted should he be in residence. While they are historic and nice to view, I found there are far better temples to visit if you truly want to take away something unforgettable.

This Hindi Balinese temple has a bathing area containing holy spring water for ritual purification. Whether you seek purification, spiritual connection or just simply want to join in the rituals, this temple is a must visit. We arrived around 2pm and was crowded. At the bathing area, there was a long queue, you need a lot of patience and observe people in front of you if you are unfamiliar with the rituals. The koi pond was a highlight for me, so beautiful. The surrounding architecture and gardens were stunning too, adding to the whole vibe of the temple.

This is a “must-do” experience when visiting Ubud. One of the most impressive water temples and you can immerse yourself in the local purification experience. When you pay for the entry tickets, you get a free sarong to wear inside the temple. However, if you want to get in the water, and actually do the purification ceremony, you will need to pay another small fee to get a new sarong and a locker key. It is pretty straightforward. We went there with a driver we rented for 4 hours (also took us to Tegalalong) and he also purchased a small gift for us to present at the temple before asking for the healing powers of the water. An unforgettable experience.

Nice temple complex and the purifying ritual is great to watch or to do yourself. You receive a sarong at the entrance, included in your ticket. If you want to get purified than you have to go to the changing rooms on the right of the baths and buy another green sarong. There are lockers to store your belongings. Price 10000 IDR.

Have 2 area, in door and out door area. Clean and nicely maintained equipment. Don't worry about meals, they have a tiny cafe to accommodate every one. The children and the adult. Will be back..

There's a big wide international air matts, good for training flips. And there's a capoeira kids class too, for infants and teenagers

Spacious. Lots of toys for every age and style. Aircon area with indoor toys and outdoor area (fully shaded) with slides and climb structure. The big plus, an F&B outlet for the parents. Good place to entertain the kids during the harsh sunny hours of the day. CC accepted. Socks mandatory, but you can buy if you forgot to bring.

Bring my daughter just to play here and then ended up enrolled to the toddler class they provide. She enjoys in the class as they have singing, dancing, sensory play & other activities. Toys, big space indoor & outdoor, little cafe are big additional to this place. Unfortunately they don't have genset so once the electricity off then it feels like we're doing hot yoga here :)

Spacious indoor play ground. Big parking place. Ok amount toys collection. Small cafeteria a bit pricey. Max playing time 3 hours, entrance fee also pricey, avoid weekend and public holiday because to full. Don't forget to bring socks for the kids and for the parents. But if you don't want to bring from home they also sell socks.
