Good beach to swim during high tide and to walk around during low tide (you can find starfish). The beach is clean, a lot of restaurants nearby. On the downside, it can be very crowded on sunset

It's not the nicest or best beach in Bali. It is nice if you are staying at one of the resorts along the beach. They actually keep it clean and have lounge chairs out. Other than that, walking down this beach is quite annoying. The vendors hassle you repeatedly to buy things. It's a small path shared by bikers and pedestrians. The stray dogs are everywhere. They are all over the beach and sometimes they into fight with each other. The only area that is nicer is near the resorts. The lane is wider and split for bikers and walkers. The sand isn't soft. It's covered in coral shards and rocks. The hotels have workers raking the sand only in the beach area for their guests. Low tide is a weird time. But you can actually walk out pretty far with the water up to your knees. We stayed at one for the resorts for a few nights and another local hotel. We were able to experience the difference in the way beach is on both ends.

I don't know why this beach is not mentioned in the top 5 beaches in Bali. It is long, very clean, without waves, with many cafes and bars, and water sports. I especially like that there are many trees on the beach itself, so it is possible to lie down in the shade on a towel, you don't have to rent deck chairs. A must visit.

Very popular place to catch sunrise. The international tourists here are popular because most of them are old age. Not like in canggu which the tourists are mostly millennials. Great place to do morning jogging.

Beautiful beach with clear water. Stayed at the Putri Santrian Hotel, excellent staff and clean room. 4 swimming pools, restaurants with an amazing menu. Definitely will go back if and when I’m in Bali again.

I went to Sanur beach as a day trip from Central Ubud. The beach is beautiful. Shallow water with small little pools of water. There are lots of restaurants along this coastline and hotels. You can rent 2 sun loungers with a table and an umbrella while on the beach. I believe it was for 50,000 rupiah. There are also bathrooms you can use since the restaurants are there. Lots of great shopping, many things to do and cheaper than central Ubud. My friend stood in this town and loved it.

In my opinion, the nicest beach in Bali 😍. White sand, clear blue calm water and very clean. It's also not too busy so you can enjoy a lovely stroll along the well maintained beach walk. There's many restaurants, shops and bars along the beach walk and it's a very chill vibe. If you want a more serene and relaxing beach vibe with lovely food then this is the place to go in Bali ☺️

Sanur is a place of many parts. There is the main road and a minor one both running parallel with the coast. In between are lots of alleys and dead ends where, at times you feel you are in a rural village. Lovely to explore on foot or by bike. Then there is the justly famous Sanur Beach Walk, a 5 mile stretch with the ocean on one side and variously resorts, villa gardens, the Le Mayeur Museum, the turtle project and cafès on the other. The beach has places with private resort sunbeds, beach bars with loungers to hire and plain beach with trees for shade. Take your pick. You need a bike to explore the whole length but you can walk bits of it for a pleasant late afternoon stroll. Finally there is Sanur as jumping off point for day trips. I only did one, snorkelling to Nusa Penida, and frankly I wouldn't do it again. The snorkelling is good to very good but the hassle getting there! From leaving my homestay to getting on the actual snorkelling boat was nearly three hours of chaos, hassle and hanging around. I felt we were on a conveyor belt between the 4 or 5 different companies and agencies involved and all taking their cut. In comparison, snorkelling in Menganjan was far more thrilling and we stepped onto the snorkelling boat straight from the beach after a short taxi ride from Pemuteran. But if you have no other opportunities and more patience than I, the fish are lovely, though we didn't see any Manta Rays

Oh Sanur, your beauty is permanent. Swimming here in the morning is always a good idea, the water is clear, the waves are relatively calm, good for kids too. I can spent all day long here.

The worst beach I've ever been to. Garbage dump. Plants everywhere, cans, plastic bottles, bags. I do not recommend this place if you want to spend a few days on the beach. One big dumpster here is the beach and ocean. Disgusting place

Plenty of shops and restaurants. Lots of accommodation choices for your budget. Quiet yet enough going on for most families not seeking night clubs and the party scene. Certainly recommend to first time travellers to Bali. Nice and close to the airport.

Sanur beach promenade is the perfect place if you love walking and that's the main reason we chose Sanur as our home. The beach is not the most beautiful in Bali but we love it because it's relatively quiet and has some amazing restaurants and warungs along the promenade. Lots of trees so not a problem to find a shady area to relax. The water is not very deep even at high tide. Lots of water sport activities that you can enjoy. In our opinion it's worth a visit. Not sure what it will be like when the new shopping center opens.

A lively quiet beach. No waves. Some fishermen and boats. A lovely spot to watch the sunrise. Lots of restaurants, resorts and bars along the foreshore walk. Even some ladies selling Balinese items of clothing. Outside the Hyatt there are tanks with sea turtles being raised to be released back into the wild

Probably my favourite place in Bali. Much more relaxed in Sanur but still with some great hotels , restaurants, bars and cafes located here.p Still plenty of shopping options too. Sanur has a fantastic beach path which is good for walking , cycling or dining at many of the restaurants located along here. Also a great base to visit many of the islands located in the east. Sanur is less hectic and stressful than other options on the west side. Go to Sanur and relax...

One of the quieter beaches in Bali. Still attracts a fair bit of crowds but not like Kuta or Seminyak. Very clean with a beautiful promenade for walking, cycling. Lots of restaurants at yhe Beach side with great views.

I have a lot memories here. A very cool place and full of crowds, there are so many new things that have developed since the last time I was here. I'm happy i can go here again.

This beach is easy to find because it is located in Denpasar, Sanur which is a famous area in Bali. Such a family-friendly beach. The waves here are so calm so it is safe for kids to swim here. Go here around 6 AM so you can enjoy the beautiful sunrise and clear water when there are not many people around. Everything is easy to find, from toilets and local restaurants, rent a bike for 20k/hour, a scooter for 50k/1 hour, and a kayak for 15k. There are a lot of activities you can do including jogging and a lot of visitors also bring their pets. It is a must to buy Lumpia if you go here, delicious and cheap only costing 5k/portion. The seller is so friendly and they are really responsible for our food waste. You just need to pay 2k/motorbike to come here. Definitely will come back.

This is the stretch of beach in Sanur, near the sindhu hotel. Its popular, the beach is a white sandy beach, but there are many shallow reefs that get exposed at low tide. Careful. On the shore there are many restaurants, warungs and so on. A pedestrian and a cycling path is between the water and the restaurants. It is busy and cozy to be.

Been there 3 times now, and I cannot but advise you, if you have the opportunity to visit Sanur, there is no place else to be. Nice temp all year round, very friendly Balinese people, good food at reasonable prices. Accommodations from (very) cheap till 5* resorts. All you need (or want) for a relaxed stay .....

We moved to Sanur from Ubud for this night market and it’s so worth it! - the green stand: best Soto Ayam (turmeric chicken soup) I’ve had in Bali! - blue stands: (next to Soto ayam) amazing soursop/ papaya/ dragon fruit smoothie, and chicken noodle soup (mie ayam!) - try the capcay as well! - no picture: amazing gado-gado salad in the middle of the market! Very kind lady. It’s not a fancy place so do expect imperfections: bring wet wipes, mosquitoes repellent :)

Like others have said, it is a relatively small night market. Maybe 10 to 12 different stalls. Hygiene and germaphobes should probably avoid this place. What didlike is the lack of transparency on pricing. At many of these places. You see a menu but no idea of the pricing. When asking about price of different dishes, I find that their prices can be 25 to 50% higher than local warung It appears that it is more touristy than anything else. I did see locals but foreigners way out numbered the locals in this so-called night market.

Quite a nice place to visit and have some cheap street foods. 20k rupiah for sate ayam. Some nice desserts. There is some small shops around and outside there is some fruitvendors selling cheap tropical fruits

I can see now after pandemic there are more people come visit this market. For your improvement I would suggest the organizer to change the layout of the tenants and seating position, I felt it would be better all the tenants keep on the edge and all seating position move in to the middle so we can feel more breeze and more space than seating position per vendor.

I went there at 12:30pm. Sadly there was nothing. I guess the building is wet market every early mornings while the little square in front of the building is street food market from late afternoons. So, make sure you pick the right timing to find what you are looking for in this place.

Amazing sates! 10 sticks of chicken sates is 15k and I0 stickers of mutton sates is 25k. Very affordable!

Make sure to stop buy the fresh fruit juice box. It’s delicious and cheap! Overall not the best place to eat (food was not tasty), but the fresh fruit stands and juice are well worth the visit!

An interesting experience but only 5 or so stalls. We had the Ayam sate (chicken satay skewers). They were delicious and cheap but it was about a 25+ minute wait and locals will be served before you. Also had a terung bulan pancake with chocolate and banana. Delicious! Wouldn’t go back but worth the authentic experience.

Inexpensive and good tasty food. I felt like I was in the real Bali here. Very comfortable and I liked that I could walk around and eat food quickly, support the people of Bali and there foods. I had the best Sate lamb here from the vendor in the video. The sauce was perfect. They we're Muslim in the far right in the corner and they had an amazing lamb soup. There was another vendor who had chicken soup as you can see in my photo, it was really good too. If you're bougie, don't come here. This is for the real one's.

After entering, go to the very right and the first shop is where I ate. Sate Kambling 25k and Rice 5k. Then had dessert from the same row from an old gentleman. One strawberry doughnut costs 1k. Around 20 to 25 stalls were there I think and a few clothing shops too. If you are in the area, you can visit.

Travelling through Sanur and my prescription glasses broke on one side. The gentleman in this shop was incredibly helpful and went out of his way to repair the glasses very quickly. I was really grateful. Very skilled and also a nice range of frames, lense options and contact lenses, solutions and eye drops. Super impressed.

We went to Top Optic initially to have a screw replaced in one of our glasses. The screw was replaced for free. On looking around we found a lot of glass frames that we don't see in Australia. We decided to buy some new glasses. While the frames and lenses cost a bit. The quality of the lenses was top shelf and the cost was a lot cheaper then if we had bought something similar in Australia. Was visiting Sanur on holidays and decided to get some new reading glasses. Had a free eye test and there was a lot of effort put in to get the prescription exactly right. The best eye test I have ever had. Very affordable and the glasses were ready in under 72 hours. Great attention to detail and friendly service!

I went here because I had somehow lost one of the nose pads from my sunglasses. Rather than buy a cheap pair for the rest of my stay, I found these folks on Google. They replaced both nose pads, ultrasonically cleaned my glasses and polished them, all for half the price of a cup of coffee. All done in about five minutes. Can’t rate that service highly enough.

Overall a very nice museum to see some cool paintings from various different mediums, as well as furniture and photographs from the past. There are 2 buildings which house the collection, but it seems that one of them seems to be not finished. A bit more signs to explain the context and the history of the place and better care for the collection should definitely be added for the future. Definitely a nice little detour if you have the time, would take around 15 minutes 👍. Remember to not take any photographs of the collection!

It's a house museum who use to be the home of this Belgium painter called Le Mayeur, he lived and worked there with his Balinese companion and was even put under house arrest by the Nazis during Second World War. The place is beautiful and the whole experience was very interesting. Plus it's right by the beach 5/5.

Amazing artworks in uncommon media painted by a maestro. They have to reconstruct the display lighting to make the painting clearly visible. Take out the spotlight from the ceiling. The light reflection is covering the artworks. Put the led inside or behind the glass cover, so it still brightens the paintings but not disturbing the spectator.

Great little museum / gallery of his work in his old home. The quality of the works are excellent and made more special by realising these were the very rooms of the home they lived in. Will take my daughter when we return. It’s a great spot to stop if you’re riding bikes up and down the promenade and was better than we expected- really interesting and worth it.

Well worth the stroll up Sanur beach to see this. First a sumptuous example of 1930s Balinese architecture and décor set in peaceful gardens with the sound of the ocean just over the wall; second to see the works of the Belgian artist who settled here, Le Mayeur. Personally I preferred the impressionistic oil paintings of landscapes and harbour scenes to the (numerous) aquarelles and drawings of bare-breasted Balinese women. Just saying.

This museum is rich in history and valuable paintings in a strategic location by the beach but lack of maintenance. It needs more preservation efforts to rejuvenate this place to attract more visitors.

Buildings are nice but the art has almost perished due to moist and salt. Not really worth the entrance fee of 50k. Story of a 52 year old painter who got a 15 year old girl to be his wife. A lot of his paintings are of underaged topless girls...

Small, intimate museum about a Belgian-Balinese odd couple whose love story promoted intrigue and outrage (a Belgian artist in his 50s takes a 15 year old Balinese girl to be his lover, and eventually, his wife). Interesting little corner of Balinese history but the artworks are so badly preserved: the 'museum' is actually Le Mayeur and Pollok's home, donated by them after their death, and there is no air conditioning so the paintings have decayed in the sea air.

Beautiful and amazing temple from start to finish. They require you to wear a sarong to cover your legs but will lend you one for free if you don't have your own. You might want to consider hiring a guide to give you a guided tour to give you the history of the sites of the temple and help you to take photos as they know all the best angles and spots. They are not expensive and are worth it. There are lots of tourists there bathing in the holy water, we didn't have time to but I would have if we did. Really recommend this temple.

A beautiful temple with enough place to sit peacefully and worship. It is highly recommended to do the spiritual cleansing/purification ritual in the temple. The temple authority provides for the traditional sarongs and there is enough place for changing clothes and lockers are available for storing your stuff while you worship.

Was a lovely experience. Recommend to bring a towel and read up about the meaning of each fountain and the process before you go. You can pay someone to photograph you on the day. It is one of the most authentic Balinese experiences you can enjoy in Ubud.

Holy temple for Balinese Hinduism. It's a place to cleanse yourself. The locker/changing rooms should be much cleaner. Also, stop with those tourist cleansing on days/times that locals are cleansing. Most of the tourist just want to do it for fun. Is has no meaning for them. But they get in de way and make the waiting time much longer.

Nice temple. You can definitely live the Balinese culture and experience the holy water blessing ritual. It is however a well-built tourist trap. The temple’s flow is built in a way that exposes you to both fruit selling ladies at the entrance and a labyrinth of touristy shops towards the exit. Both tourists and locals are welcome to go through the ritual, keep in mind the entrance fee is slightly higher for tourists. It is definitely worth visiting when exploring the neighboring sites, however I wouldn’t go out of my way to visit.

Amazing temple - architecture, spiritual and cultural aspect to be experienced. Don’t miss it in your trip to Bali, Ubud. We had a great experience, we sat down and medicated for few minutes. Early morning visit is better to beat the crowd.

Beautiful historic temple. Took part in a Hindu bathing/cleansing ritual. Very spiritual experience. Peaceful environment despite the amount of visitors. Watched temple offerings being prepared. Local guides available at a cost, or just explore for yourself.

Totally worth the trip, cleansing with holy water and beautiful ancient architecture. It has nature springs and fish pools, thousands of years old trees too. Better bring a sarong of your own for bathing. Entrance fee cash only. Bring dry clothes for change after if you want to go in the pool.

Learned so much about the culture the temple has to offer. We were fortunate enough to experience it on the day the village was doing their ceremony. Absolutely beautiful how this place is constructed. The holy water comes from the spring and flows right out of the spouts where you can cleanse yourself. Put this place on your planner if you’re coming!

Beautiful temple with waters to bathe and cleanse your spirit/soul. My family and I all went in and unfortunately we hit a bit of a line, but overall it was a cool experience. I would recommend water shoes because the ground is a bit rocky. There are changing rooms and lockers to rent out.

Lovely place, with a nice experience on top if you'd like to take part. From what I noticed, the water will be fairly cold so do prepare for the purification process. A sarong is offered, so that you can get around the place. They offer some facilities like lockers, change rooms, bathrooms...and don't forget to bargain if you intend to buy anything once you leave as there are plenty of shops.

One of the main attractions at this Temple is to enter the baths and cleanse your mind and body. It is incredibly busy and you will need to allow time to get changed. You must dress appropriately (Sarongs are issued free of charge) This temple sit directly below one of the many presidential homes. So access to some areas are restricted should he be in residence. While they are historic and nice to view, I found there are far better temples to visit if you truly want to take away something unforgettable.

This Hindi Balinese temple has a bathing area containing holy spring water for ritual purification. Whether you seek purification, spiritual connection or just simply want to join in the rituals, this temple is a must visit. We arrived around 2pm and was crowded. At the bathing area, there was a long queue, you need a lot of patience and observe people in front of you if you are unfamiliar with the rituals. The koi pond was a highlight for me, so beautiful. The surrounding architecture and gardens were stunning too, adding to the whole vibe of the temple.

This is a “must-do” experience when visiting Ubud. One of the most impressive water temples and you can immerse yourself in the local purification experience. When you pay for the entry tickets, you get a free sarong to wear inside the temple. However, if you want to get in the water, and actually do the purification ceremony, you will need to pay another small fee to get a new sarong and a locker key. It is pretty straightforward. We went there with a driver we rented for 4 hours (also took us to Tegalalong) and he also purchased a small gift for us to present at the temple before asking for the healing powers of the water. An unforgettable experience.

Nice temple complex and the purifying ritual is great to watch or to do yourself. You receive a sarong at the entrance, included in your ticket. If you want to get purified than you have to go to the changing rooms on the right of the baths and buy another green sarong. There are lockers to store your belongings. Price 10000 IDR.

Bring my daughter just to play here and then ended up enrolled to the toddler class they provide. She enjoys in the class as they have singing, dancing, sensory play & other activities. Toys, big space indoor & outdoor, little cafe are big additional to this place. Unfortunately they don't have genset so once the electricity off then it feels like we're doing hot yoga here :)

Max playing time 3 hours, entrance fee also pricey, avoid weekend and public holiday because to full. Don't forget to bring socks for the kids and for the parents. But if you don't want to bring from home they also sell socks.

Great place to visit with lots of interesting sculptures and scenic gardens. We visited on a rainy day and spent around 2.5 hours in there. Entry fee is 150 rupiah per adult (around $15AUD) with 30 rupiah redeemable voucher on food/drink. Our 6 year old daughter enjoyed running around the garden, going into the butterfly section and playing in the kiddies water park.

Quite a nice place to chill within the Denpasar area city limits. Green lush garden, plenty of beautiful stone carvings and some artwork made from recycled materials. It has a restaurant inside with reasonable price and pretty good quality food. There is also children playing area with waterpark etc.

Great place to chill. Run around with the kids. Have some food. Has a water playground, which is great. Has an indoor play area but needs updating, fixing up ect. Over is a great place to visit.

Great place for play with kids, they like it here very much. This place looking little but space here is big. A lot of things for family photos. Playground, swings, fish which you can feed. Restaurant with middle prices around 35-75.000 IDR. I think everything here is good. Prices for entry and water park for kids are 30.000 IDR for person - 5 members family complettly 150.000 IDR. Came here during weekend and surprisingly very empty. Good for you who loves garden with Bali’s vibe. Lots of statues and photo areas. Good for kids and families.

We were bit sceptical if to go there or not. But its very very very nice place also good to do with kids. It does not have any energy that comes from old temples or old fardens, but its very nice area with many things to find and enjoy. We took the tea / coffee and honey tasting and it was nice to do. Kids - small kids, can enjoy also tiny "splash" water park & you can relax a little. Very nice thing to do for 2-3h Price its ok.

We visited (family of 4, children aged 5 and 2.5) in September 2023. We really enjoyed our visit, the gardens are beautiful, there is plenty for the kids to see and explore and our 5y.o loved the splash park at the back. There is plenty of shade. Definitely recommended.

When I first came here in October 2019, I was in or of the gardens and statues and couldn’t wait to bring my friends here. Sadly now September 2023 it is a lot different. The entry price has significantly increased and presentation standard has dropped significantly. I understand that with the closure during COVID the gardens wouldn’t have been attended to like they were previously and they need to bounce back but to be charged more for entry with a lower presentation doesn’t sit well compared to other gardens we saw during our holiday. Furthermore there was a wedding reception in progress the day we attended, which we weren’t informed about. Whilst we weren’t told that we couldn’t enter those sections of the grounds, we chose not to, as the reception was still in progress and in respect to the bride and groom. Some of the guests were walking around the gardens and wanted to take photos with us, which we participated with and had some fun with them. If we had of been made aware there was a wedding reception in progress, we would have come back a different day so we could have seen all the grounds. With that said, it is a nice place and hopefully over time the gardens will get back to their former glory. Previously I rated the grounds 5 out of 5, unfortunately this time it is 3 out of 5. Good luck team and hopefully the gardens return to the former glory.

Nice place to go with small kids if you want something else than the beach or your hotel pool. There is a big splash pool and an indoor soft playground for the little ones. (compared to other playgrounds we have seen here, this one was in a good shape!) A nice park where you can quickly walk through with some replica’s of temples and a butterfly area. It was not the right season for butterflies, they told us, but still we saw some nice ones. Small tea and honey tasting is included in the ticket price. We were the only guests in the park ! (low season) our 3 yr old son loved to have his private playground! We found the ticket price (150’000 rp per person) definitely worth a small visit after a couple of days on the beach.

Beautifull peacefull garden, we went with two kids 4 and 6 years old. On every corner are new things to see, the butterflys where out of flowers and water, so they where not really happy. The luwak cats where also out of water and food. The restaurant had good coffee and fresh juice. Price is 150 for adults (a drink incl), kids 75 rp.

The warungs have gone but the beach is still nice.

Excellent beach, safe for kids, clean and the water is mostly beautiful. The only BIG issue are all the electric bikes zooming up the only footpath. Beeping at you with all their righteousness.. There are a few beaches along this strip that all merge into one, but if you start down by the Mercure hotel, Metasari Beach and walk all the way up to Sindhu it's about 6ks and a great walk.

Our local favorite on the beach, right on the beach, kids friendly as they can play on the beach that is not busy and overcrowded, nice complete menu, and food is really nice, Ice cold beers and large selection of fresh juices.

Great place for food morning and night

Harrassed no end. Sellers walking beside you trying to " come and buy my shop." Sometimes I just want to walk past, not looking, looking.

Terrible place, they are pushing to buy and asking for pay. the lady took me from the main street and did not let me go before I bought something kept saying help for her. Once I paid, another lady asked for help for her to ask well. Very weird experience.

About 20 stalls all run by women selling pretty much the same thing - cotton dresses, tops, pants and little souvenirs. Buy something at one and you best leave immediately, or commit to buying more stuff you don't need at several more! You'll probably "over pay" but it's fun and the stall holders are nice, even if they're pushy.

Expensive compared others boats. For foreigner passengers, they give price 100% expensive than another. There are more than 20 boat companies in Sanur Port, free to choose. Service is good just like others boat. I went to Lembongan often and try use some boats.

Getting a decent speed boat service to one of the many islands just off Bali is a lottery, just going off the reviews alone, it seemed to be this way. Luckily Arthamas Express was flawless for us for our day trip to Nusa Lembongan. We had booked our tickets in advance via a third party website ( website ) and paid roughly £30 return for two people. We arrived at the port roughly 30 minutes before departure and showed our confirmation receipts to the staff at the desk and we were given our lanyards. Do note that the departure / arrival times are estimated, so expect slight delays. Be smart and realise you probably will have board the boat in the water on both sides as there’s no dock at Sanur, and wear appropriate clothing, also if you’re in flip flops or any footwear, I’d recommend keeping this on your person and not in the basket. The staff help you board the boat on and off each side, they were really helpful, the speed boat was brilliant and took roughly 45 minutes to get the Lembongan.

!!!! They are liars and scammers. They charged us double the price as we didn't know what was the normal price, we didn't notice before being on the boat. (I precise it was in the official office in Sanur, not like in the streets). That's scandalous ! I will tell the story to everyone I know in Bali so they choose another company. Avoid them !!!!

We recommend this company 👍 On our scheduled travel day, the Harbour Master had cancelled all trips from the Padang and Sanur ports due to bad weather. Our original trip was from Sanur to Nusa Lembongan, so we were disappointed that we wouldn’t be able to go. However, the lovely people at Arthamas found us an alternative route from Kusumba Port. They arranged a shuttle (free of charge) to the new port. The boat was fast but smooth, especially considering the relatively rough waters. We arrived a little delayed (4:30pm instead of 2:30pm) but we consider it a relief to have been able to find to Nusa Lembongan at all! Thank you! 🙏

The price is good, the pick-up from the hotel also but the ride is not really. The pilot was too much quick, we jumped à lot with the boat and many people especually with children were afraid. I don't know if it is usual way of driving and maybe it is not dangerous but I think if you take it little bit slowly it will be more comfortable for the passengers.

I was supposed to take the last boat to Nusa Lembongan at 5pm, but the cab I was it got broken, and I couldn't be there on time The super caring staff asked me where I was, and proposed to exchange my ticket for free, which I didn't expect. Our first trip to Nusa Lembongan was with the Arthamas fast boat. So when you get your bookings online whether it is via WhatsApp, email also with some agencies, you still have to come to their office branch at the Pantai Matahari Terbit area. The shop is small and only has one couch as the waiting room, but you're actually meant to wait at the boat terminal anyway. So you can come and exchange your online bookings with an actual ticket and paper wristband. Unfortunately, I'm not so sure but I felt like they treated me differently with the foreigners. No biggey, but still a meh. The journey is about 20-30 mins-ish. Lovely journey, the boat operators were really nice and helpful as well. So the Arthamas has their main shop located in Nusa Lembongan. This one is totally different than the other one in Sanur.

Overall a good experience using Arthamas. A little hiccup at the beginning- we’re waiting for pickup from our Kuta hotel to go to sanur past boat. We then get a text saying our driver is running late. We were a little disappointed as we’d already checked out and had to skip breakfast so we’d be ready to be picked up. While we waited at the front of the hotel (for a good half hour) we watched a taxi pull-in , then before we had a chance to talk and check with him, reverse our and go to the hotel next door (we could see where he was). Then we get a call from him saying he’s here - where are we? A little frustrating but alls well that ends well. Sanur fast boat was a good trip over to Lembongan - and back again 9 days later.

One of the worse attitude towards Indian tourists from the boat employees while we done a trip to Nusa Panida . Arrogant attitude, over speeding while current is high and also very dangerous style of navigation during high current. Pathetic experience overall

Very good company to travel to Lembongan Island. Arthamas took care of everything: transport from our hotel to the ferry terminal and from the beach to our hotel in Lembongan. Very good communication in real time on Whatsapp, the company ensured each time that we were in the taxi or in the boat. I recommend it 200%.

Great service! The communication from day 1 was on point! They reply really quickly and even offer a pick up/drop off service from the ferry to your hotel.

Transport pickup from canggu hotel to sanur port was hot and very uncomfortable. Had to make an additional pick up of passenger at canggu station, making the whole trip rush and uncomfortable. Sat in the hot car from 12 to 2.30 when the ferry leaving is at 2.30. Not a well organise route. Transport from sanur port back to seminyak was not very pleasant as well. Was made to walk a long way to the car pick up with my bags.

They lend themselves to scam people, do not trust taxi drivers who offer you tickets. They coordinate by phone and from this office they make the exaggerated charge, they are part of the scam, shame on them. They steal a couple of dollars but their image is damaged forever. They should see who they hire in their offices.

I paid 175,000 one way including transport from my hostel and to my place from the ferry terminal in Lembongan. Is easy to get ripped off so be sure to negotiate. It looks really easy to walk up and book a ticket directly at the counter too. I didn’t realize there are only 2 ferries a day at 9:15am and 1:00pm. My included transport picked me up at 11:30am and I got here at 1pm so i had to wait 1 hour to leave. The do have a shady sitting area. My AirBnB quoted me 250,000 one way and I have heard of several other people paying more. Anyone you talk how charged more is adding a commission for them selves. Other ferry times listed are Sanur to Penida (8:30am, 1:00pm).

boat was perfect, arrived on time, no issues. the issue was the staff, we came down the day earlier to check where the boat to lembongan would come in at so we could book accommodation, we was told it was mushroom bay, it wasn’t so we then had to pay for a taxi across lembongan because of this misinformation. the rep also told us the boat would depart at 8am so we arrived at around 7:30am, the boat doesn’t actually depart to lembongan until 9:15 so we had to sit in the baking heat for nearly 2 hours with all of our backpacks. the rep also shouted at us when we didn’t know where the check in desk was. very very unhelpful but the boat was to a high standard

As a Ground Transfer service provider first time book and use their service since we have contract with them. Our customer ended up complaint because of the bad service they received from the third party at Nusa Penida Snorkeling Boat and Guide. Below is the complaint from our customer: We were told we were going to go to 3 snorkeling locations. We only went to 2 and it was maybe 10-15 minutes each. After we were told we were supposed to have lunch and then go to the mangroves but we’re rushed of the island as quick as possible not doing any of that and told we had to take the 2:15 boat back to Bali vs the 430 that we had scheduled. When we asked about it we were told we had to get off the island. I payed over $... for 2 hours which was supposed to be an 8 hour day. I would like a refund for the false promises and being rushed off the island without doing the excursion we were promised. The only reason I have not written a negative review on Expedia is because I was to see how this situation is going to be handled. It would have been different if there was bad weather but it was beautiful out and we didn’t even do half of what we were promised. On top of that i have proof of us being rushed off the island because we were put on some random boat vs the one we were scheduled to go on at 4:30.

I have used Sri Rejeki twice now in 2017 and 2018 and have not had an issue. Getting on most boats to Lembongan you’ll get your feet wet as they launch from the beach. The boats are clean and pretty reliable. Pick up and drop off service is good but runs on Fiji time which means if they’re running late don’t stress or panic. You will get there. Last time on the return leg there was an engine issue but was fixed in a timely manner. Will use again for my 2019 trip!

The staff was lovely at the desk, gave me a fairer price than all the offices on the street, the boat was comfy and felt safe and was on time. They were helpful with the luggage as well. Definitely higher standards than a lot of other transportation in Indonesia. Props!

You get what you pay for I think. The boat is owned locally so we liked to support the locals. It was on time, staff were great and worked hard loading and unloading. It was on time, going over to nl there was no problem but returning to Sanur our boat broke down. It wasnt nice with all the crew working on the motor or batteries behind our seat, then the boat motor stopped and unfortunately a tourist called out mayday mayday and I thought it was the crew calling for help so my nerves were shattered, sitting in the middle of nowhere in roughish seas. I felt they would have known this as right from leaving you could hear and feel something wasnt right and why didnt they sort it before we left...I just couldn't help but wonder how well the boats are maintained for quite a treacherous crossing at times.

Some Westerners have absurdly high standards for transportation in developing countries. I've lived in sub-Saharan Africa for over two years and have traveled in several countries in Southeast Asia, and I can tell you that public transportation in SEA is a dream compared to equivalent options in countries like Malawi, Botswana, and Zambia. So with that being said, I'm very much a fan of Sri Rejeki Fast Boat. It's one of dozens of operators plying the waters between Bali, Nusa Lembongan/Penida, and the Gili islands, and it's significantly cheaper than the more popular ones like Rocky or Scoot. Part of it is that Sri Rejeki offers an a la carte option (i.e. ride only, not including pickup/dropoff transfers) and part of it is that Sri Rejeki is locally-owned and operated and does not have a Western-friendly name. I was able to book online the day before for one-way tickets from Sanur to Nusa Penida, paid only 150k IDR per person, and the entire process went nearly seamlessly. I have read reviews that staff have been known to go through passengers' bags so we made sure to put all valuables i(including beer, haha) on smaller bags that we kept on our person and when we checked our bags after the boat ride it did not appear that they had been opened or tampered with. The ride itself to Nusa Penida is quick and not overly scary (though they certainly don't take it any slower when the waves get bigger) and overall we paid significantly less for our trip from our hotel in Sanur to our hotel on Nusa Penida than if we had booked the transfers-included option on a more popular operator. Would book with Sri Rejeki again in a heartbeat!
