For some reason it was very difficult for me to get to the beach, Google maps was taking me through resorts which felt weird? The beach wasn’t too packed, the water was warm and clear - very clean too, no rubbish. The sand was super soft and white. Very annoying people trying to sell stuff to you multiple times in a row, even after you said no…

Devastated. Beach gone when its high tide. Dirty! Trash along the coast in particular where hotels and bars had to give up. Look for the details in my fotos. Local community do not care apparently. Chaweng town: Only a handful (literally) of bars and restaurants open. Dirt in every corner. So disappointed. Not worth coming this season.

Amazing beach where you can find everything you need. Jetski and many other water activities, Thai massage, small chilled beach bars, big Party beach clubs, fire show,... It's not crowded at all so you will always find a nice spot to roll-out your towel. No idea how people can complain about this beach. For sure you might find some trash or hotels that have shut down due to covid. You should start to appreciate the good things in life.

Clean and comfortable beach strip, at the heart of Chaweng. Clean water and it wasn't very crowded in June. Plenty of beach side drinks places, Jet skis for rent, and other attractions.

Wonderful white sand beach with very warm water. Enjoy some cocktails with your feet in the sand there with the many bars along.

I came to explore for a few minutes and ended up staying the entire day. One of the several beaches around Koh Samui.. And as I have come to learn in Thailand.. you need to find your own magic beach that makes your soul sing.. Chaweng Beach is mine. Clear blue waters, white powdery sand and small fish swimming in the shallows.. palm tree fringed and dotted with several resorts and near by shopping perhaps makes this one of the more popular and best beaches around as well. What's great is the reef further in that acts as a kind of breaker for the bigger waves.. translating into a gentle lapping on the beach. Now if you find your perfect beach club, and have some drinks on hand, and cool tunes drifting over the water.. and the odd aircraft flying over (for take off of touch down at Samui Airport) you pretty much described Chaweng beach. On the eastern side of the island, sunrise is guaranteed to be pretty awesome on this beach. Come see for yourself.

Beautiful beach where you can get anything you need to relax and have fun. Thai massage, plenty of bars to have drinks, water sports, Jet-ski. Water is clear and you can swim here as lots of other people would be doing. It’s a great beach for swimming and also plenty of street food stalls are there.

Probably the most crowded beach in the island. Hotels and resorts along the beach front. Loud music night and even in the morning. Sunrise is beautiful here. The only time that is a bit quiet. Golden sand but narrow beach.

I have seen two sides of this beach. To the north when there is low tide the beach gets very dirty ( because of the natural barrier at the sea, causes the water to get stagnant) and the south part that was always clean. There are some natural debries on the sand ( wood and canes) but nothing that skocked me. In general it's a pretty good beach.

A looong beach with clear turquoise water,with many clubs and beach bars.It may seem too much at the fist glance but there is place for everyone - even if you are looking for a quiet spot to lay down on your towel and read a book you can find it there.And of course if you are looking for fun and action you came to the right place😉

Arguably still the best beach for swimming and easy beaching on Samui. No rocks, shallow sandy shore, and enough trees for shelter. Particularly the very South end (with the little boat harbour) is calmer and nice to sit under the trees. But be careful and watch out for jellyfish - this is a notorious hotspot!!

Beautiful beach with clear water and fine sand. Sea is calmer on the north side. Many resorts with direct access. Great for swimming, paddling and kayaking. Unfortunately like many other Thai beaches be careful with wave runners when practicing water sports (not as bad as in other places but still an annoyance)

Coming to Koh Samui for years and I can't believe the changes. The main tourists to the island now are young families with young children and nothing their for them. Chaweng main road now has turned into one big weed store. Every second shop now is weed in between a restaurant or massage shop. Everything is far more expensive then Europe

Good quality linen which is what you would expect from Uniqlo. Store was clean and easy enough to find what you are after. Did not get greated or approached during entire time. Pricing is good as the quality is good, standard Uniqlo store.

I'm very disappointed with their return policy. I bought a pair of XL stretch shorts a few ago and the stitching became loose after one washing. I tried to get a refund or store credit and the management refused. I was a loyal customer in the past but I will shop elsewhere in the future.

Local market not too far from the main Chaweng Beach tourist areas. I came looking for some seasonal fruit but didn't find what I was after but it was a relaxing stroll checking out local produce, seafood and some other misc stalls. It isn't very large and I'm unsure if there are bigger markets on the island of Koh Samui ?

As a market it’s pleasant but not unusually exciting. BUT it has a food stall area in which I had my best Mussaman curry ever. Really top notch. Worth the walk down for the food!

It's where the Thai people buy their fresh salad and vegetables. Nothing is priced, just pick up what you need place it in a plastic tray and just pay what they ask. As a farang I have never felt I have been overcharged in fact I'm always surprised how cheap the total is.

Come and experience this local market. If has all of the smells and sights you’d expect of a market that the locals use. As a tourist you probably won’t buy anything, apart from maybe some fruit or a hot Issan sausage, but this is a place you visit to experience Chewang as a local, not to shop. Come and walk around, you’ll love it.

Wet market where we bought some fresh produce back to our home country. Produce like garlic, shallots, Turkey berry, these are of slight different from what we have back home. Interesting array of vegetables.

Great fun, great view over Chaweng, nice sunsets from an infinity pool, 2 slides (access cost 650baht) (one that send you flying 5m high in the air before landing and a normal one), bean bags, good music, chang beer 89baht, cocktails 160baht, also serves food.

Unbelievably awesome...must try...reach there by 2 pm...and hang out till 7....worth every penny...fight your fear..

They have reasonable food and beverage prices as well as awesome parties love this place.

AMAZING!! We had so much fun up there. The location is super cool, music is nice to party, staff is super kind, drinks are well mixed and the slide shoots your adrenaline to the max! Don‘t miss it while you stay at Koh Samui!

I would 100% recommend the cask draw experience - delicious 18 year old cask strength whiskey in a lovely aromatic environment. Katie was a charming and informative host. The splosh and gurgle of the distillers dog was a delight. I don't think I'd recommend the tour however. Our guide was great but it all felt a bit rushed and there wasn't enough time to linger and it all felt a bit constructed. It didn't feel that deep or engaging despite our guides best efforts. The whiskey tasting section was nice but the selection felt geared towards shifting product rather than a really distinctive tasting experience. I'm a whiskey enthusiast not an expert but there wasn't enough contrast between the whiskeys being tasted. You could buy the whiskeys as you exit through the gift shop though... You do get a good couple of drams for your ticket fee so there's good value in that. On balance though I'd recommend you get the cask draw for €10, buy a drink in the bar and go to the Guinness storehouse for the afternoon and enjoy the sunset in the gravity bar.

Great experience. Lots of people but really well managed with small group guided tours provided. Hats off to you guys at Jameson’s. Our guide Leah S was really brilliant; informative and entertaining as well as friendly and polite, making it a really worth while visit, highly recommended. Not too hard sell, just really interesting and enjoyable experience. Lots of credit was given to all the workers over the years who have made this such a success as reflected in the company logo of a man (labourer) with a barrel on his back. This is a ‘must see’ experience.

Made reservations for a Monday evening Cocktail Class. Loved the distillery and bar area - great vibes and decor! Enjoyed our cocktail class and even had a few more at the bar area after. We did visit the gift shop and were hoping/expecting it to have many more items, but it was quite small. Would recommend signing up for one of their activities if you appreciate whsikey!

We did the Jameson Distillery Tour and had an amazing experience. It lasted about an hour, and our tour guide Sean was hilarious! He went through the entire distilling process in detail and made it interesting. And the best part - WHISKEY! I highly recommend the orange "water of life" 😉 I don't want to spoil the tour so check it out for yourself, it's worth it! And something you absolutely need to see when visiting Dublin

This was a quick walk from center city & also the Guinness Storehouse, and is in a quaint area. We did the 45 minute tour with Alex and she was INCREDIBLE! So fun, knowledgeable, and engaging. The bar is also a great, warm spot to relax at the end. We would definitely come back.

Visited in 2022. This is a must if you are a fan of Jameson. The atmosphere is great as soon as you walk in. Cool bar right when you enter where they have very good cocktails. Their gift shop is great, lots of cool items that will make great gifts. They even have a few bottles that are exclusive to the Guinness store that you can personalize with your name on the label. We did the tour and the guide was amazing! He was so good at keeping everyone engaged and the content of the tour was really entertaining. We paid extra to taste from a cask that they tap open in front of you. This is something they do not bottle for sale. Overall, highly recommend it! P.S. I heard from a local in Dublin that he had gone on a tour awhile back and it wasn’t good but they had updated the tour a few years back and he had gone back as well and was much better. So if you had gone awhile ago and was disappointed, try again! Book ahead of time!

I did the Standard Bow Street Experience your which includes a drink on arrival to take with you on the 40+ min tour, learning about the history of Jameson, how the famous whiskey is made and whiskey taste testing. Molly our guide was very nice and informative. Really enjoyed it. Definitely recommend it.

A really great Irish whiskey tour in Dublin! We enjoyed the “basic” one hour program with an introduction to the drink distillation of Irish whiskey, the history of Jameson, and the taste testing of 3 different whiskeys. We were greeted with a welcome drink, and then our guide led us through the rest! Our experience was very good, and we learned a lot about the local whiskeys and how they are different. At the end, we walked through the gift shop and perused all of the different items available as well as the different whiskeys for sale. I would definitely recommend this experience for anyone that is a whiskey fan, or even not a whiskey fan, and we will recommend it to others!

The Bow St Experience tour is well organized. Tour guide was nice, tried to engage as much as she could and entertained us. Comparative tasting was good and fun. At the end you get a voucher for a drink. I would 100% recommend ginger&lime cocktail even if you prefer neat whiskey. What made this a 5 star review was a cask draw experience in their live maturation warehouse in the building. We had an absolute craic there with tour guide Niall (kudos!) who just shinned with the love for whiskey. He was very insightful with tonnes of knowledge. Niall made cask draw experience worth every penny.

Not a fan of whiskey until today! The explanation how to taste made so much sense that you can actually really learn to enjoy it. Our tour guide was funny and explained everything very passionately. In total 4 drinks , one in the ticket you can trade in the begging or end of the tour and 3 more samples in the end of the tour. Used my Go City pass to visit this museum.

I visited 3 whiskey distilleries in Ireland and Jameson had the best experience of any of them, and was one of my favorite things we did in Dublin. The tour was very well put together (and Nial was an excellent guide). The add on cask draw was also cool. The bar there was also really good. In addition to their normal cocktail menu they had a whole old fashioned menu, we tried 3 of them and all were delicious. I would also recommend the bottle your own black barrel option to any whiskey fans.

We did the standard tour and cask draw add-on here and had a great time. Our tour guide, Erin, made it though. She was super awesome and kept us all laughing throughout. I really enjoyed at the beginning she had us all say where we were from and kept engaging with all of us so it didn’t feel like a normal run of the mill tour. While you don’t see the inner working of a factory, I felt like I did learn a lot. The cask draw was totally worth it in my opinion. They bring you inside a room that is full of whisky barrels and pull it straight up from one of them for you to try. The taste was so different than the bottled versions with it being extra burning and warmed your chest, very cool.

This experience surprised me in a positive way and surpassed my expectations. I am not a Jameson drinker but I really enjoyed the way they do the tour. Plenty of tasting and they make you feel welcomed. Our guide was great. He was informative , knowledgeable, lighthearted, and entertaining. Would recommend 10/10

Fantastic tour and experience for any Whisky fan or even those new to the drink - the whole experience was very enjoyable and our tour guide was welcoming, knowledgable and very friendly. You are out into timed groups and have a history lesson of Guinness, details on the manufacturing process and then finally a Jameson taste off vs Scottish Whisky and American Bourbon. Once finishing you are free to go to the bar and redeem your drink which are great! We definitely spent a while at the bar trying different drinks on the menu (would highly recommend the Irish coffee) All in all a very worthwhile experience - options are also available should you wish to do extended tours or private events (which looking back would’ve been great to do the cask tasting session)

We loved this tour. It was interactive, engaging and informative. We did the Guinness tour as well and found that one to be a bit of a money grab as it was primarily self guided. I’m not a whiskey drinker and enjoyed this tour anyway. A lot of pride from the folks who are employed by Jameson. You can tell it’s a well managed organization and they must treat their people well as everyone was passionate about their job and pleasant to ask questions to. The tour and tasting were well thought out. It exceeded my expectations. I would do it again next time I return.

Our tour guide was amazing. She gave us the history of Jameson in a fun and informative way. It was great to hear the Bourbon barrels of Kentucky contribute to the flavor of certain Jameson whiskeys. We fell in love with this place and enjoyed their new Orange Whiskey. My GF who was not a whiskey drinker now makes Ginger and Jameson a regular on her order menu. We purchased some personalized whiskey for my daughter and now son-in-law along with making our own bottle of whiskey was a great experience. 5 stars all day and a must when you visit Dublin

you must come here and do a tour if you're in dublin! we had an amazing tour guide (ronnie) who made the experience so good. the history and process of making the whiskey was absolutely fascinating and we loved every minute. you get to sample 3 whiskies before getting your grog (free drink) at the end of your visit. The gift shop is big with a lot of items such as hoodies, t-shirts, hats, posters etc. cant recommend enough!

Had the most amazing time at the Jameson cocktail making class! Loved the atmosphere, the mixologist Marco was fabulous - friendly, funny and knowledgeable! We learnt some really cool tips and tricks and of course enjoyed the whiskey! Highly recommended…

We did the general tasting tour. The place is amazing with an interesting history. We got to learn about how Jameson is made and got to try three different kinds of whiskey. The crested was the best of the three. The black barrel was also excellent. Great historical tour. We need to come back and take the classes. Make sure to check out the cat in the rafters.

My boyfriend and I went to Jameson's yesterday and we had a great great time, we're home visiting family and to celebrate St Paddy's day.... the staff were really great, we got to chat properly with Margaret, in the gift shop, really knowledgeable and friendly and of course our guide Leah was just fantastic.... another lovely girl in the gift shop who helped us with tax back, as he's from America, sorry I didn't get her name, we started with delicious old fashioned cocktails, 12€ each, then we did the 45 minute tour, we booked online 30€ each, it included a complimentary drink, choice of Jameson neat, or with lemonade or with ginger ale. You were able to bring this on the tour instead of rushing...... the tour itself included tasting of Jameson distillery blend, Crested Jameson and Black Barrel Jameson, it was a great experience and I will definitely go back and try one of the other tours another day..... well done Jameson x

We did the cocktail class it was really good fun. Our guide Paul brought us through how to make 3 cocktails 2 of which we made ourselves. The flavours, ingredients and whiskey choices were explained really well. After we had made our cocktails (about an hour) we went to a private area of the bar to enjoy them and they served our 3rd cocktail. We also got a book with loads of whiskey based cocktail recipes. We thought it was really good value for what you got €60 for a taster shot of whiskey, 3 cocktails (4 as there was extra of the last one!) and the cocktail book. I would definitely recommend the experience. Note though that as you are consuming a decent amount of alcohol on this experience they won't let you do the cask draw after doing this one!

Great experience, the basic tasting is a great deal, includes the post experience drink and a nice variety of cocktail options at the end. We went in the slow season, during winter and it was really quiet which made it even better. Took our time and only had a handful of people in our tasting. Loved learning the history, it's not as extravagant as say Guinness, but it's much more educational and interesting.

I visited Jameson for the first time in 2014 and the experience improved even more. The interactive presentation and the knowledge given to us by the Guide make this experience a must-do in Dublin. The tests are fantastic and the atmosphere is fantastic. The staff was always very helpful and cheerful. We ended up buying two Jameson references that don't exist in our country. Fantastic! I highly recommend this experience!

We came here and did the Bow St Experience followed by the Cask Draw which were two incredible experiences. The tour was fantastic (Alex was our tour guide and she was incredibly fun and informative) and the Cask Draw was such a unique experience where we got to try a 21 year whiskey straight from the barrel. Niall talked us through that process and gave us so much information about the whiskey. The experience is immeasurably better than the Guinness Storehouse and is very interactive, a must visit in Dublin!

An absolute must for whiskey connoisseurs and amateurs alike. We took the Jameson Black Barrel Blending Class and we won’t soon forget this experience. I wanted to do something memorable and interactive, the inclusion of alcohol was a plus. This Class included a very informative tour of the Bow Street Jameson location and an overview about the Jameson whiskey making process. I felt like I was watching a documentary full of detailed information and a lot of Irish charm. Our group was made up of only 5 people making for a personal and intimate experience. Based on ticket availability online it looks like this class would only ever have a maximum of 14 people making it a nice departure from larger tours offered in Dublin. Our guide/Jameson Whiskey Expert was very engaging and kept things light. As part of this class you’re able to blend and of course try, various Jameson whiskeys and learn all about what goes into the Jameson process. I won’t spoil anything but this is something that you must do if you find yourself in Dublin for any length of time. Additionally, I would recommend the engrave-able Jameson flask from the Bow Street Market. The flask itself is 25 euro and for only 5 additional euro you can get it engraved with up to 20 characters including spaces. This is an amazing souvenir and my husband is already excited to fill his up with Jameson.

The Bow Street Experience tour is very interesting split into three parts covering the history of the brand and the factory, the production process and finally a guided tasting. After the tour you have a token for a free drink in the main Grog Bar. Which is itself a very nice bar... Look up at the chandeliers. Our guide Joe was very engaging. Nice gift shop too.

Cocktail making class! Great if not the best option to choose from the different activities. Worth booking in advance as there’s not always availability. Good fun with great atmosphere! Reduced groups of max 16 people, the activity allows you to make 2 cocktails from scratch with guidance from an expert cocktail maker. Starting with a whiskey tasting the class followed with the details, ingredients and instructions of two different cocktails (changing depending on the season) and ends the session with a third drink on a private area of the distillery prepared by the instructor. Great option for any occasion from a family event to a friend gathering. Price per person at the time of visit was 60€. Further details can be found on the official site website.

If you are considering staying here, I would seriously reconsider. Me and my partner stayed here on the recommendation of everyone on tiktok, only to arrive and be severely disappointed. It has as much Thai vibe as Scarborough (UK). It’s very westernised, full of people in every store trying to sell tack or fake designer items. You will be lucky to find an ATM that works among the dirty streets. It does come alive at night, with a great nightlife, but that’s about it. Even the much-raved-about beach leaves much to be desired. The sand is littered with plastic, and full of people, with not a moments peace at all. This evening we visited Coco Tams in Fisherman’s Village, about 20 minutes away from Chaweng, and had an immediately much better experience.

As we heard, the busiest and most popular town on Samui...Not for a peaceful vacation. Filthy-town and beach. Good for shopping, it's definitely Samui center. Clubs are good, lot of them on the beach. Night food market is also ok.

The beach is kept quite clean, and is quite gently-shelving. It's a great place for an early-morning walk. Post-COVID, the town is pretty run-down, with a higher proportion of businesses closed than you'll find in other beach places in Samui. In its heyday, a busy nightlife place, but a bit too brash for many.

Chaweng is noisy, dirty and hassly. Expect to be constantly harassed by hawkers on the beach (if you're asleep they will stand between you and the sunshine to wake you up); the beach and the sea is full of litter, especially at weekends with vast amounts of plastic bottles, flip flops etc left over from the beach parties, but also wood with nails sticking out and for some reason many light bulbs. Prices are high, you will be completely ripped off by aggressive taxi drivers who charge a minimum of 300thb to drive any distance, and to top it off you will have to endure parades of vans trawling around the streets with phenomenally loud blaring speakers advertising boxing matches (we got mightily tired of the Rocky theme tune...) and beach parties. If that's your thing, fine, but we were there as a family and absolutely hated it! On a positive, the food at the night market is great, as long as you can cope with the out of tune, very loud band that plays every night!

Friendly people and some good restaurants. Good for markets/shopping. Absolutely filthy. 38 degrees C and no one in the sea as it's full of food wrappers and plastic bottles and the coast line is also covered in rubbish. Not a paradise at all. Beach wasn't that nice even if the rubbish wasn't there

The only Catholic Church in Koh Samui that has Mass in English. Seems to have a very positive parish, and I felt so welcomed!

Beautiful Church clean and minimalist style. Church mass is conducted every Sunday at 10am and is in English. The choirs sings very beautifully.

Catholic Church. 10:30 English mass on Sunday. In terms of dress code. There is sign asking to take shoes off before entering. Shorts seem to be okay as long as it’s not short shorts. Shoulders should not be bare but if you forget then it’s okay they have scarf and sarong to wrap around for shoulders and for legs. No AC but they have fans and leave windows open for air. Nice church overall.

Sunday mass in English takes place at 10:30. Wear pants and a shirt - flip-flops and shorts are not appropriate (you can enter barefoot though). My advice - wear something light and thin, it’s very hot inside despite the fans.

Father Michael is amazing. I enjoy so much his sermons all by hearts. Also a great story teller most of them from his life and family. Since I am in Samui so far I never missed a Mess although I have a long motorbike drive. Thanks father Michael.
