Lovely castle with a huge garden and nice park. I will recommend to be visited in summer as it looks great. As it's promoted as Dracula's Castle I think it would be nice to have more details about the history of DRACULA. The tour doesn't take too long and at the end you'll find a gifts shop for buying some souvenirs.

One of the most visited sites in Romania, I have to say it's really worth the trip! Gorgeous mountainside location, the castle is really beautiful and greatly preserved and the "time tunnel" is highly entertaining with all modern technology to throw you back in medieval days filled with scary stories and brave knights and princesses. It's okay. Very nice and well preserved castle. I don't like the atmosphere there. Vampire story is just made up to bring more tourist to the castle and get as much profit as they can. If you really know the history of king Vlad, nothing makes sense and actually then you discover his castle is even in completely different place. Fact that some American guy (current owner) just made some cheap and overcrowded attraction from this beautiful historic place is sad. Ticket price is definitely too high comparing to what you can see in other castles in this region. Is it worth to see? If you love castles as I do then you may consider it. There is plenty of tourists and kids making this place hard to enjoy. But there are some quiet places, especially at the gardens :)

I would definitely not go back again! One time is enough!

For disabled people there are many many narrow winding staircases, many without ropes or rails. I saw a lift but I have no idea if its accessible to disabled people. Finally, if you are a larger person there are some exceptionally narrow and low ceiling corridors which could be very difficult to access. Its very beautiful but very busy.

I was expecting it to be more "Dracula themed" but it has little to do with that besides the few pictures and some notes from the writer. It has an interesting Museum of torture (you have to buy a separate ticket to enter that area it costs around 2€) It was a bit crowded when we were visiting.

All around the castle are little Souvenir shops and some snack stalls. We went on a Thursday and arrived at 4:50pm, there was a really long line. The castle stops selling tickets at 6pm, but it seems that people who get in late can hang around and explore. We got in around 5:30 and were able to explore and shop at the museum shop even at 6:30pm. It took us 1 hour to see everything, but others definitely stayed around a bit more. By the time we left the restaurant was closed, so if you want things to be open make sure to get there early as parking around the area can be tough in high season. Some stairs and hallways are very small so if you're claustrophobic be aware. The castle has 2 additional add on to the standard self tour: tower/tunnel that looks like a long elevator down and the medieval torture devices. We did the medieval torture devices add on and it was a few rooms with replicas and some legitimate devices and explanations. The history and the views are worth it :)

Very cool! The tour is an hour and you see a well upkept piece of history with the Dracula legend attached. There were some creative components woven into the tour so it wasn't all just dry history. Also, there is a tour of the torture chamber and the Time Tunnel is short but creative. The grounds are beautiful and the sights looking from the castle and looking at it are awesome. Definitely recommend.

Super cool castle. Took about 1 hour to tour with taking time to read most plaques. They are in English. The time tunnel at the end took 2 minutes. Kinda cool but not necessary. It's just an unique exit.

I really enjoyed this castle visit despite the hordes of other tourists. It's smaller than the typical castle with many rooms furnished to mimic the original look it historically added. They have a small section about monsters and myths that's fun too.

It was renovated by Queen Mary, the wife of King Ferdinand, and used as a retreat. The village of Bran has certainly made use of its location and similarities to Stoker's novel and turned the castle into a must-see location for those who love history, vampires, and spooky happenings. Tickets are required to enter, which can be bought either on arrival or online. There is a fairly steep incline to reach the entrance made if cobbles, which can be slippery, so care is needed. Below the castle, in the grounds is a market selling locally made crafts and souvenirs, and refreshments.

Nice place to visit, there's an interesting mix of history and local myth. It is aimed towards tourists in the morning and hosts varied events and activities in the evenings. It can be quite a challenge if your mobility is reduced as there are many stairs and narrow winding passages.

Very cool castle to walk through! Especially with a tour guide as they can give a lot of extra detail on the history of the castle and each room. It also has very nice views from various points. I did not see the torture areas, but did pay for the elevator. It was interesting and the final tunnel was neat, if only because of how isolated and quiet it was. At the end of the tunnel/bottom of the castle was another gift shop with almost no one in it.

When in Romania, the Dracula / Vampire legends are everywhere, and this is the source of them! Convenient off street parking, fabulous tourist trap market (check out the traditional masks), then wander up the hill to the castle. We did not use a guide for the tour and may have missed some finer points. The torture chamber is an eye opener!!

An absolutely fantastic castle and probably one of the most famous castles in the world. It is a stunning piece of architecture and the inside is set up in a really nice museum style display to see how rooms would have been during the key parts of the history. It is really easy to get tickets and walk around both the inside and outside. Parking nearby is slightly difficult as there are limited spaces and you have to just drive around until you can find a spot, but it is well worth it.

Beautiful castle with an amazing environment built by Austro-Hungarian empire. It has many things to see inside but also if you are here, it worth to visit the surrounding mountains. Recommend to visit it!

Highly overrated castle and for the ticket price you pay it doesn’t include all the things to ser inside castle and for torture museum and timeline show you need to purchase separate tickets. Might be of interest for the people visiting castles for the first time but not for people who visited big castles before. We're doing a trip that involves castles and palaces and Bran was my #1. Luckily it met and exceeded my expectations. Very well restored, and a beautiful, simple design. Interesting history that is clearly explained. We went in early spring and got there early so there were no crowds and we could move around easily. From research I'd expected it to be overly touristy with respect to Dracula, but it really wasn't - I really liked the section dedicated to local folklore and thought it a great way to acknowledge the Dracula connection.

Draculas Castle is a must do! When we went it began to snow so it made it more awesome. I recommend doing the extra torture room but I don’t recommend the time tunnel. There wasn’t really much to the tunnel worth the extra money. We didn’t have to wait during when we went and you can go at your own pace. There’s plenty of stores outside the castle that sell cool things to buy. The castle is cool to walk through and how they lived before they even have some rooms that are Dracula themed and even the cool secret staircase

You better spent your time and money to visit Peles Castle. This one is very basic and boring

It is short but fun. It is a fairly standard funhouse/haunted house, but it got a couple jumps out of me from unexpected scares. Take your spouse/partner and make them go ahead of you.

It gets boring pretty fast. If you are sensitive to loud noises, I don't recommend this place, because most of it's scares rely on that, and the props launching towards you. But that's what you have to expect with these places. The main problem is that for the price, you can go through it in 5 minutes, and even I, who was screaming the whole time, got used to the experience halfway through. There are one or two good surprises, but that's all

For me and my friends this was more entertaining than Bran Castle itself

It was TERRIFYING. We though that it was something that is not scary, but it was. When my parents were buying the tickets, I faced to face one of the employee who will give us some jumpscares, and the funny part was that we were staring at each other 😂. It was scary for me, fun for my sister, and ok for my parents. When you'll to the end, some employees with weird masks will give you some jumpscares. And because I was too scared, I accidentally dropped my ticket, and I said 'mom, I dropped my ticket 😭😭'. Bet the employee was holding his laugh so hard🤣🤣. Then, at the end, it's, let's just say, a music to be more scary and when I heard it I jumped a little 😭😭. Above to others, the castle needs a try

Really fun experience! Lots of fun here when with a group, it was brilliant fun. The actors were very good and it’s a great price @ €5/25 Lei per person it was well worth the laugh we had!

Super cool castle. Took about 1 hour to tour with taking time to read most plaques. They are in English. The time tunnel at the end took 2 minutes. Kinda cool but not necessary. It's just an unique exit.

I really enjoyed this castle visit despite the hordes of other tourists. It's smaller than the typical castle with many rooms furnished to mimic the original look it historically added. They have a small section about monsters and myths that's fun too.

It’s an amazing castle with stunning views, would definitely recommend a visit. We didn’t have to queue to get and and it wasn’t too busy when we went. The walk around the castle was so pretty. The grounds around the castle were beautiful as well. One thing to note is the small corridors and stairways.

Beautiful small castle associated with Count Dracula, but only by the novel written by Bram Stoker. (Dracula has never been here) The age of the castle is unknown, along with its original owners. It was renovated by Queen Mary, the wife of King Ferdinand, and used as a retreat. The village of Bran has certainly made use of its location and similarities to Stoker's novel and turned the castle into a must-see location for those who love history, vampires, and spooky happenings. Tickets are required to enter, which can be bought either on arrival or online. There is a fairly steep incline to reach the entrance made if cobbles, which can be slippery, so care is needed. Below the castle, in the grounds is a market selling locally made crafts and souvenirs, and refreshments.

The castle was very fascinating, and the grounds were full of history and a real basis for most of the folklore you hear surrounding the castle. The castle itself has a lot of areas closed off and it was more of a museum rather than a full focus on the mythic lore. Still very cool place and would recommend

Nice place to visit, there's an interesting mix of history and local myth. It is aimed towards tourists in the morning and hosts varied events and activities in the evenings. It can be quite a challenge if your mobility is reduced as there are many stairs and narrow winding passages.

Very cool castle to walk through! Especially with a tour guide as they can give a lot of extra detail on the history of the castle and each room. It also has very nice views from various points. I did not see the torture areas, but did pay for the elevator. It was interesting and the final tunnel was neat, if only because of how isolated and quiet it was. At the end of the tunnel/bottom of the castle was another gift shop with almost no one in it.

When in Romania, the Dracula / Vampire legends are everywhere, and this is the source of them! Convenient off street parking, fabulous tourist trap market (check out the traditional masks), then wander up the hill to the castle. We did not use a guide for the tour and may have missed some finer points. The torture chamber is an eye opener!!

An absolutely fantastic castle and probably one of the most famous castles in the world. It is a stunning piece of architecture and the inside is set up in a really nice museum style display to see how rooms would have been during the key parts of the history. It is really easy to get tickets and walk around both the inside and outside. Parking nearby is slightly difficult as there are limited spaces and you have to just drive around until you can find a spot, but it is well worth it.

Beautiful castle with an amazing environment built by Austro-Hungarian empire. It has many things to see inside but also if you are here, it worth to visit the surrounding mountains. Recommend to visit it!

Highly overrated castle and for the ticket price you pay it doesn’t include all the things to ser inside castle and for torture museum and timeline show you need to purchase separate tickets. Might be of interest for the people visiting castles for the first time but not for people who visited big castles before. Its a tourist trap for this castle, there are even nicer and beautiful castles in Romania

We're doing a trip that involves castles and palaces and Bran was my #1. Luckily it met and exceeded my expectations. Very well restored, and a beautiful, simple design. Interesting history that is clearly explained. We went in early spring and got there early so there were no crowds and we could move around easily. From research I'd expected it to be overly touristy with respect to Dracula, but it really wasn't - I really liked the section dedicated to local folklore and thought it a great way to acknowledge the Dracula connection.

Draculas Castle is a must do! When we went it began to snow so it made it more awesome. I recommend doing the extra torture room but I don’t recommend the time tunnel. There wasn’t really much to the tunnel worth the extra money. We didn’t have to wait during when we went and you can go at your own pace. There’s plenty of stores outside the castle that sell cool things to buy. The castle is cool to walk through and how they lived before they even have some rooms that are Dracula themed and even the cool secret staircase

hidden behind the entrance to the famous castle is this open air folk museum with. log cabins representative of peasant days in transylvania - free and open to the public ; yet many of the crowds miss it without a sign indicating the way

It's a very small museum with only a few traditional old style houses representing Bran/ Moeciu region. They could definitely extend it or at least improve the content. But considering the simbolic price, it is worth seeing it when in the area or visiting the Bran castle.

Small scansen worth checking out when you are in Bran. It can give you a brief gasp into the old way of living.

We came while it was closed but it was still lovely to stroll alone through this little village.

I tried the ticket of 40 Lei that give access to an adult to the castle, it is a very good experience.

If you get the chance , this is a must see place

A nice place to visit, not as popular as Bran castle but a wonderful place to learn some history. The entrance fee is only 4 lei and you will get the free guided tour. If you want to discover some of the Romanian village life, this is the place. Unfortunately the state of the houses is not very good and there is no investment in developing this museum nor entertaining the large garden.

Such a Nice Little place and such a pleasant surprise to find in the whole market next to the entrance for the Castel - the only authentic boutique there! Wonderful local wooden carved toys, local candies (“fondante”) and much more.
