The floating market of Damnoen Saduak is very disappointing and is not worth a stop in my opinion. There are very few vendors on the water but mostly vendors on land that we can approach by boat. Only souvenirs are sold but almost no fruits or vegetables, it's a pity. Moreover, the cost of the boat is 2000 baths, which is excessively expensive to visit a market devoid of vendors and absolutely not alive. An "avenue" on the water however that I found particularly beautiful, decorated with a multitude of lanterns. And beautiful landscapes of jungle to appreciate during the walk.

Actual “floating market”. Most of the vendors are along the rivers or on a boat. To fully enjoy this market, you pay for the boat to take you around the river. They can stop as needed if you want to buy something. Good breeze on the water. Bring cash of course. Price are reasonable and the food + drinks are pretty good. There are alcohol and cannabis drinks of various sort. There are traffic jam on the water just in case you are wondering. There are car and motorbike parking. Some free some paid. Weekend all paid parking. Note: the boat service is for an hour or so. If you stop at too many places then you won’t be able to visit the whole river. You can always take it twice. Price is reasonable anyway.

So... we went to this floating market as part of a packaged group tour. Websites talk a lot about the floating market, so I was like why not. I don't like labeling places as tourist traps because people like experiencing different things, but I'd say this place feels very touristy and commercial to say the least. You get to travel on a boat, and other small boats will come to you with food and merch. The smoke from other boats is not very pleasant, and that dirty water may splash and get on your clothes the current from other moving boats is strong. But it's not too terrible, so just be mindful of this. I say commercial, because all the goods here are sold 2-10 times the prices in other markets. Souvenirs? Even the tour guide told us not to buy. Fruits and coconut ice cream are not too pricey, but I'd still negotiate the price. Overall, the place didn't feel organic - it's not a market where locals would come to buy goods. It's designed exclusively for tourists, so I'd recommend the place if you're okay with my caveats above.

TL:DR Take the paddling boat experience if you wish, don't buy anything on the boat. It's a good experience, the original Thai floating market. You can experience life living next to a canal and traveling mainly through boats. Most of the shopping is done through the canal, thus the floating market. However, it seems that it's more for tourists (local tourists too), so expect prices to be higher than elsewhere. Pricey boat hire. The stuff on the floating market is expensive as well (you can get the same stuff elsewhere for way less price). You need to learn to bargain and do it really well to not get scammed. It does feel like a tourist trap and I think it's good to just experience the boat, and just don't buy anything. Just find whatever souvenirs (and food!) interest you, and buy it at other places. You can even get them cheaper at Bangkok, or at the side of the canal unreachable by boats (still more expensive than elsewhere).

More than 150 years old market still retaining the original teak wood structure. However it was overcrowded with tourists, our boats clashing each other in the channels, loud motor boats which were letting out unpleasant smoke and souvenirs sold at exorbitant prices. Was quoted 850 baht for a wooden dragon fly hanging which we bargained and bought at 200 baht. Our guide told us not to buy anything without bargaining the price down by 80%. It would’ve been a better experience for tourists if the items were sold at a reasonable cost like in the other markets and vendors would get more sales. We had yummy coconut ice cream and mango sticky rice which our guide got us from a lovely lady selling from her boat. We stopped at a shop selling puppets and masks but decided not to buy anything after a closer inspection because we didn’t think it was worth the price quoted. A really nasty vendor selling paintings opposite this shop started yelling at us and called us cheap for not buying those overpriced items after looking at them. With such attitude I wonder if anyone would want to go back again. Couldn’t wait to get out of there after that. That person was enough to spoil the whole experience for us. I had read reviews from tourists not recommending this market and should’ve followed their advice. There are other genuine floating markets visited by locals which are way better. Don’t recommend this one at all!

Pretty good floating market in Bangkok. It’s a smaller one, but still pretty good. You can buy a boat ride for 100 baht, which will take to you to a cute cafe, where you can spend around 20 minutes and then go back to the market.

A must do tour when you are visiting Bangkok. We travelled by AC minibus to the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, which encompassed a visit to the railway market & a coconut plantation. The floating market was truly spectacular, seeing the vendors selling their wares along the river, plus lots of separate stalls selling souvenirs & food, all enjoyed from the comfort of your own long tail boat.You could purchase things along the waterway - which was fantastic. The railway market was an eye opener! The vendors know precisely when a train arrives/departs & quickly retract their stalls just in time. Tourists are a plenty to witness this precision timing. The goods for sale are plentiful & range from souvenirs, fruit, meat, fish, beverages etc. We also visited a coconut plantation, where it was interesting to see how a coconut is fully used, with no wastage.

Its an interesting place to take the family to show them not just the floating markets but also our boat captain. Took use out and about the canal system it was interesting to see how people live around the water ways of greater Bangkok. Take a powered boat.

Great place for tourists to visit about 1.5 hrs outside of Bangkok! You can find a variety of food and souvenirs along the river, and most vendors are willing to bargain prices down. Just be warned, many taxi drivers will try to scam you by dropping you off at tour companies about 5 minutes away from the actual market. They give prices starting at 2000 Baht per person for a 2 hour boat ride through the market. Please don't fall for it. If you demand to be taken to the actual start of the market you can find prices around 100-300 Baht per person for an hour boat ride through the market. Absolutely worth the visit, just be careful who you are trusting to take you.

I hardly recommend this hostel. Everything is very new and clean. Staff are all of them very friendly and very helpful. Kitchen is perfect! Chill outs are wonderful. They made popcorn for all guests that went to see the cinema movie that they played at one of the chill outs. They also gave us thai sweets.

Incredible experience. Is a tourist trap ? YES! Just do it! The canals are dirty, you might get splashed, I found a piece of hair in my coconut ice cream, but hey, it was 1 out of 5. Would I do it again? Maybe not. Would I recommend it a 100% yes! I paid 3500 bhat for 1.5 hr market and coconut farm. Morning trip with a driver from Bangkok. It was absolutely worth the drive. Go early by 3pm. Most of the vendors will be gone after that time.

This floating market is very touristy. You may get dripped off via minivan or taxi about a few hundred meters from the actual floating market. They generally drop you off further away with the hopes that you’ll pay for the expensive motor boat tour/ride to the market (the experience is about 1hr long). Instead it’s better to walk a few hundred meters to the market and save yourself the money. At the floating market itself you can pay be for a much cheaper human powered boat around the market (we paid 200baht for two people). While on the top the guide will move the boat along the market to the various vendors. Some guides will stop at many vendors and some will skip some. We tried to tell our guide we’re not interested but she didn’t listen and continued to move from vendor to vendor. Overall this floating market wasn’t that great. Mainly just vendors trying to sell you things you can find in most tourist shops in Thailand. It’s best to go to the Amphawa floating market that’s nearby via taxi and not waste your time and money with this one.

An interesting place to visit for the very first time. Overall experience was pleasant and enjoyed the boat ride but might not be a good place to shop for souvenirs because of the steep pricing. The tour we paid for felt rushed and did not get to check out most of the stalls. The person in charge of the boat will only stop at certain stalls as requested. As one of the most popular floating markets in Thailand and over a 100 years of history, it was slightly disappointing to see that the place is not well maintained.

Out of all the floating markets in Bangkok i had selected this as it had better reviews than the others. The only thing is it's located far away from the city and the drive to this place too more than 1½hrs but it was good. After reaching they asked us if we wanted to visit other things and showed us the options but we decided to just experience the floating market. We went in the morning so it wasn't sunny. The place was kinda touristic. But it was nice to see it! But too many tourists and didn’t feel real at some point. The boats were way too many and a I didn’t like the way in which they were treating animals just to take pics with them and tourists. But it was an experience.

It is best going there early in the morning or late afternoon to avoid the hot weather. I took a boat ride to fully cover the vast area of these canals system. There are many souvenir shops by the canal as you ride on the boat. The boat ride was comfortable and save me the trouble of walking. Anyway, most shops can only be accessed by boat. Just loving everything about Bangkok this is no exception- what a cool experience to be taken through by boat to experience the noise, smells, sights, tastes and do your ‘window shopping’ before you get off and redo it by foot picking up and haggling for all the gems you spied from the water! Damnoen Saduak Floating Market is located about 100km from the city centre. The journey usually takes about 2 hours each way. This popular floating market has become very touristy. There are just a few traders on boats selling food, drinks and fruits now. The banks of the canal is lined with shops selling souvenirs, clothings, food and drinks. The boat ride we had was a disappointment. The driver just sped through the canal then idled for a while to waste time before taking us back to the jetty. We did not pass through the section with traders on boats. We should have taken the boat which was manually rowed and not the one with an petrol engine. It was more like a canal speedboat ride than a visit to a floating market.

Very different experience and good one. There is a boat ride for 20 mins. One can do shopping from a boat, and one can also have experience in local life. Recommended to try once and do not forget to bargain.

It’s a nice experience to browse the area with a wooden boat. It is also possible to walk much of the inner market. Taxis will want to drop you off about 1km away at a point from where you can only take a motorboat to go to the market via some narrow canals, whereas if you drive to the market you have the option of a cheaper paddle boat to explore the “inner” market. The staff will try to sell various experience packages. Boat hire prices are regulated. On the way to the market you’ll see a couple of souvenir shops on the sides of the canals that don’t float. Once you get to the market you’ll see vendors on little wooden boats and more shops ashore. The motorboat felt a little like a tourist trap to us at first but on the other hand the trip to and from the market on it will also show you less touristic areas. Inside the market you can always get off the boat, walk a little and get back on too.

A different experience! The floating market is truly different like you might have seen in tour promotions, where there are boats (same size like yours) that sell a variety of food right beside you! Choose from fresh coconuts/fruits to grilled meats. The "traffic" is in the main galley, that when someone decides to buy some of the food, you do have to stop a bit, but that gives you time to look around the sides where stalls of other goods like clothes and other trinkets are displayed on both sides of the canal. Reminder to keep your hands within the boat and hang on to your phones and cameras! Yes the water is not clear. Wear a hat too. Apparently there is a back way from the main "water road". The primary shopping area is where you do get off your boats, it's huge! we were dropped off at the back, and the good thing is you can haggle prices of some goods! There are restaurants and comfort rooms in the main building. We had fun! Include this on your to try list when in Thailand!

Such an interesting experience on one of the paddle boats. It's pretty much 5 lane traffic jam all the way but everyone just seems to know how to push past each other. They stop their boat for you to do some shopping.

Tiger World is an experience mixed with fear and awe. You can actually pet a fully grown tiger or feed a one year old tiger with a bottle of milk. Entrance prices are steep and the usual exposure is around 3-4 minutes. The tigers look healthy and are clean. The park has around 20 tigers.

Now this is a really great place for a grest one in a lifetime opportunity. They have different packages like feeding the tiger from outside of the cage, spending time inside the cage with big tigers and feeding milk to small or medium tigers. The staffs are very friendly, keeps you updated all the time with instructions and helps to take many many photos. I'm cutting one point because the weather is really hot and the place is really small for the tigers to roam around and play. They should expand more and give more shades or trees for them. They feed the tigers well, take care of them very well, so kudos to them for giving the love they deserve. Must visit place in Bangkok.

Tiger World Thailand is an amazing place! We came specifically from Pattaya. There is a friendly and knowledgeable staff that is passionate about the tigers. The tigers are in good shape and clearly happy and healthy. The staff is the best! They took fantastic photos of us. I recommend buying the 1200 THB ticket minimum. It includes a lot of photos on your phone, both as a couple and alone, in many positions. If you can afford it, I recommend buying the professional photos for 500 THB per session. They do 5-star photos.

An absolutely amazing one of a kind experience! The people are very wonderful and kind. The tigers are very friendly, calm, and well taken care of. They have a few cute monkeys as well. The facility is very well built and maintained. Thank you again for the amazing opportunity!

This was my second time visiting Tiger World Thailand. The first time was in 2016 and the second time yesterday. It was cool to feed the same tiger I fed in 2016. The experience was very cool and memorable. The staff were all super kind and helpful. I was nervous at first but quickly relaxed. I liked how there were several staff members in the enclosure and staff always stayed by you, directing you where to go. I also really, really liked all the photos and videos they took for us. Their cameraman is great. Some of those photos are here. We played and fed the tigers. I recommend this place for an interesting and memorable experience.

We regret for using the experience “feed a young tiger“. The poor tigers were very limited in movement chained by the neck. Some lying on a hard cement surface. Obviously they were under the influence of narcotic substances. We felt they are imprisoned to serve a tourist attraction. The government and animal welfare organizations should intervene. The park must justify its existence. Please do not do the same mistake.

Tiger World is just exhilarating for me.. and I can't help feel nervous although we chose to just take picture and pat a 4 months old playful baby tiger. It was just so cute !!! His name is Texas... so cute the name... match his personality... anyway... heads up for ladies... dont wear low cut top. Else you lose a chance to take very close shots lying down beside the baby tiger... it's a wonderful experience... love it !

It's a really beautiful place. I highly recommend it. Really nice people. There is an option for several feeding options with professional photos that they take for you on the spot. There is no need to register in advance. You wait for about 5-10 minutes. Sometimes when the group in front of you finishes and immediately enters❤️❤️❤️

One of the most beautiful places I visited in Bangkok. The owner of the place is one of the kindest, most respectful, smiling and generous people. He gave me free pictures and his welcome was very warm. I loved his big cats 🤣🤣🤣 and when I return to Bangkok I will visit him again.

What an awesome experience this was , a little bit of a drive out from Bangkok, but it's definitely worth your time as the tigers in the enclosure are definitely not under kind of sedation or are they chained ! This is what definitely gave us the reason to select Tiger World thailand rather than other places that seemed to have their animals in a undesirable condition ! We choose the best option and that was to meet and feed the tigers. The environment that they were in was very quiet and carm ! The Thai staff were amazing and extremely helpful and cautious of their surroundings with regards to a tiger wweighing in at 180 kgs , so I would highly recommend doing this once in a life time opportunity x 😀

One of the best experiences I ever had here. Quite well maintained and clean atmosphere. Been to zoos where it smells but here it was quite good. Tigers were friendly without any force, they are well behaved and welcoming to new humans 👏 It will cost minimum of 800 Baht and you can get clicked as many times for 10-15 mins around. The place opens around 9 am and closes by 5 pm. Come before noon or else tigers will be sleepy.

Two of our teenage daughters paid with their own money to have a tiger encounter here and overall it was a great experience. They chose the standard package and also got the professional photos add-on. At the time we visited (Feb 2024) they had about 20 total tigers and no young cubs. The lady that escorted them through the experience was very kind and helped them be comfortable. Docking a star because they would not let a parent accompany them without also paying for the full experience. If you go be sure to arrive early (9-9:30am ideally) as the tigers get sleepy after that time and don’t cooperate as well.

Had the best time ever at ‘Tiger World Thailand’. Everything from the very beginning to the very end was an incredible experience. Would also like to say that the staff was absolutely wonderful and professional. The person overseeing the visits is a charming lady named, ‘Jun’. She’s just great and you’ll have a pleasant experience with whatever contact you have with her. The facility is well run and the tigers’ quarters are superb. The entire staff has a visible family-like relationship with the tigers. Since posting all the photos from the visit on my Facebook page, have noticed some percent of people's automatic response is the tigers are sedated. My response to that is that there is no indication of sedation from any observable perspective. In fact, quite to the contrary. If you’re up for the fantastic experience with tigers, ‘Tiger World Thailand’ is the place to do it.

I visited this woodcraft centre first in 2004 then again in 2010. It is what many people do after first visiting Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. The quality of workmanship here is outstanding. With many of the items on sale an astronomical price tag attached to the quality of workmanship taken to carve some of these works of art. Royal Thai Handicraft Centre was founded in 2529 in Thai time ( in 1986 ) and opened for business in 2530 ( 1987 ). Two years later , the Thai government incorporated Visit Thailand Year Mr. Pichai Putapitak, Managing Director and founder , predicted that the rate of development of the tourism/service industry would definitely continue to expand and be a successful business consequently , the Royal Thai-Handicraft Centre ( RTC ) was established at 232 Rama 5 road , Chitralda Palace, Dusit District, Bangkok. And proceeded to sell traditional Thai products and souvenirs to tourists specializing in teak wood carved furniture. Not long after, success developed remarkably and encouraged Mr.Pichai Putapitak to diversify the business to provide One Stop Shopping to meet the customers' every needs . RTC has worked in accordance with the Thai government tourism policy and has helped the Thai economy by bringing large amounts of foreign currency in Amphurto Thailand Due to the rapid growth of industry, The centre relocated its headquarters to 240 Moo 6 Tambon Dongruay , Damnoen Saduak, Ratchaburi, Province. Which covers an area of 150 rai and is conveniently situated only 9 kilometres from Damnoen Saduak Floating Market , the largest floating market in the world . it is separated into 1. Entertaining, if you ever saw movies like Rambo or Kickboxer, then something about this place will look very familiar. Sit back, relax and watch them tame Cobra snakes, a Python, a jumping snake. Wonderful place to stay. All is very nice, the swimming pool is very quite and people are nice. We stayed in the apartment room that is OK, but for breathing the real atmosphere we strongly suggest to take one of the houses or bungalow inside the courtyard. Bycicles free. Only two bad things: 1. at breakfast they serve you eggs made with carrots and other vegetables + a salad (not fruit salad) and 2. There is a horse tied at the entrance forced to stay under the sun all day long for no reason.

Really lovely little resort walking distance from the floating market. Clean and quality Aircon unit, but most importantly a wonderful bathtub, and very nice pool. Food was delicious as well.

It’s a lovely resort, very beautiful with great cabins, we came back because we stayed here a few years ago and liked it then. However, this time a bit lacking, food only available in room. Wi-Fi had no internet access, reported it but nothing happened, we understand the impact of Covid but it’s just not good enough these days to charge this much for the room and not have a basic thing like adequate Wi-Fi

This is a beautiful place to stay 😊 Wonderful swimming pools, 1st class service from staff, amazing breakfasts, good rooms and excellent security throughout the resort. Really cannot recommend enough 👍😊 With a choice of lovely swimming pools surrounded by Teak houses and plenty of wonderful nature. The sounds of the surrounding nature area make this resort a very chilled out place to be 😊 Staff here are very efficient and friendly and speak pretty good English too, and if you make the effort in Thai they really appreciate that 👍 The rooms themselves are spacious with good air conditioning and 100% as advertised. Plenty to see and do around the area, but be aware a hired car is preferable and out of season many places have restricted opening times. We came as a party of 5 and the children are having a fantastic time in the pools and with the free bicycle hire , there is also a pool side bar 👍 Breakfast here is generous and again the staff very helpful. Not a good place for making an impression to tourist. They have elephant shows in a tidy room. The elephant does not look happy at all Before the show they will try to sell food for elephant. 50 Baht for one banana bucket which is ok but they will keep bugging you to buy more and the worse is, elephant try to reach the basket in hurry as they are very hungry. Looking at the show leave a sadden feeling. During the covid they will try to get you donate for elephant after the shows they let the elephant hold the bucket and point at each family one by one. For the alligator shows, which is in the small room as well, despised the place is quite big. One out of two trainers is the elephant's staff. The show is okay. At the of the shows, they ask you to donate for them. They have a long neck tribe village within the place. We skip this one as we are tired from the show. Since we buy the bundle tickets, it included riding an elephant. They took you around the coconut farm about 10 minuites. During the ride they will stop at some point and ask you to buy ripoff product from elephant tusks. The price will be around 200-500Baht. I'm not sure if this is legal or not as buying elephant tusk is illegal in thailand. I'm against this as they make us feel obligate to buy and feel uncomfortable to tell them that we dont want it as we are sitting on their elephant. It not quites a good experience to ride the elephant as it not have a good view. They will took your picture during the ride and will sell them for 200Baht each. They didnt even try to ask you to remove the mask. So the picture will not worth to keep at all. As my kid feel sleepy, we left this place. We didn't go to see other attraction. For one and a half hour, we spend around 2500 baht. For 2 persons and one baby. They have 3 types of tickets. 1. 50 baht for enter , kid is not exempt, then pay for each activities. 150-200baht for each one. 2. 400 Baht for riding elephant, elephant show, alligator show, long neck tribe village and 3D rooms. 3. 800 baht includeds all 4 hundred but add BB Gun,monkey show, atv ride We bough 400baht each and endup paying another thousand more. The kid happy to see an elephant but not alligator. For me, we feel sorry for elephants.

Stop right there. If you’re American and you’ve traveled all this way for an authentic experience with animals, this is not the place for you. Definitely animal exploitation at its finest. The elephants are tethered in small areas and no water in their cement enclosures. The elephant ride takes you on a cement path with a lot of other people around. More of an amusement park ride that you regret taking. No authentic experience here - and not recommended at all.

Super amazing experience! They have elephant rides and you can opt in to feed them bananas. Also have tiger petting where you can take photos of them ( they were all very well fed), and crocodile shows (you can even take a photo with a croc!). We did all three excursion in addition to the floating market within 4 hours and it was an extremely memorable day. Would absolutely do it again

It's a good place but because of Covid mostly everything was closed and rest of the places had high prices.

In history, (based in google) Elephant riding is an ancient practise, with the first evidence of elephant taming dating back to roughly 5,500 B.C in Egypt. Throughout history they have been used for logging, war, royal ceremonies and more. In reality, the majority of elephants providing rides for tourists have been poached from the wild. Though, you could see that they are used to ride with tourist, thus (them) the people in this camp are making sure as well the elephants/animals are being taken care of well too.

This place can be part of the tour if you come to the floating and train market in this area. It cost THB700 for an elephant ride and THB100 for a basket of bananas for elephant feeding. I guess it is worth a stop unless you are against animal exploitation. Somehow, we were not able to try the ride as we don't have enough cash and not able to use card to pay. Surprisingly there is a prayer room for a Muslim. That makes this place recommended as you may not be able to find elsewhere in other attractions nearby.

This elephant camp is located a short distance from the Damnoen Saduak floating market. It is very touristy, we have to pay for every activity here including taking photos of the elephant. Without paying, there is nothing to see or do. People come here mainly for the elephant rides. Pity the poor elephants having to walk rounds after rounds, earning money for their owner. Take note of the mahout with a sharp metal hook sitting on the elephant's neck. The staff here are rude, shouting loudly at visitors who not-knowingly take photo of a baby elephant near the entrance without paying first. There are more attractive and "kinder" places to visit in beautiful Thailand.

The floating market is pretty amazing for the experience and for shopping. The elephant ride was a very unique experience set on a palm tree tree walk, with beautiful birds singing. Highly recommended to try this activity! Also there's a big temple to visit along the boat ride. It's a full experience. Be prepared for a drive. It is located about 40mins - 1hr out of Bangkok

great experience riding an elephant. just few hours away from the busy capital of bangkok and few minutes away from floating market. rates vary but reasonable. could have been better if therea a presentation included on the entrance fee. needs to improve the quality of water for elephant bathing.

Workers will constantly try to get you to pay for things which are overpriced. We went on the elephant riders try to make you buy souvenirs and give them tips saying to help the elephants which we all know that’s not true. The hole time on the elephant you can hear the chains moving because the elephants legs are chained. The elephant operators also kick the ears of the elephants and have a hook to make the elephants move. You look at the mother elephant and baby elephant with no water and chained to the ground. One worker in particular is very aggressive, he was one trying to sell bananas and milk near the stores. They try and make you pay for everything even taking a photo of the elephant. Major tourist trap.

More than 60km away from BKK city.Not recommended at all, everything expensive there, floating market is on the man made dirty canal. All the shop are expensive. Activities are very pricy and not worth for money. All the animals are look stressed.

Instead of welcoming and assisting visitors, they seemed disinterested and unapproachable. Whenever I sought help or asked questions, their responses were curt and lacked any sense of genuine hospitality. This lack of courtesy and professionalism greatly detracted from the overall experience and left me feeling unwelcome. Unclear Pricing: Another significant issue I encountered was the lack of transparency regarding the zoo's pricing policies. Upon arrival, I expected to find clear signage or information boards detailing the entrance fees and any additional charges. However, I was met with confusion as there seemed to be different prices quoted by different staff members. The absence of a unified pricing system created an atmosphere of uncertainty, making it difficult for visitors to plan their budgets accordingly. This lack of clarity in pricing was both frustrating and unprofessional on the part of the zoo management.

The mistreatment of animals here is appalling and should not be supported under any circumstances. Elephant riding, a cruel practice, is unfortunately promoted here, contributing to the perpetuation of animal exploitation. The conditions for the tigers are nothing short of horrific. They are confined to short chains, forced to endure concrete floors day in and day out, resulting in painful wounds and scabs. The staff's treatment of these magnificent creatures is utterly deplorable; they resort to physical abuse, pulling tails and using whips to coerce them into posing for photos. Our experience here was nothing short of traumatic. We were shocked and deeply disturbed by the blatant disregard for animal welfare. Regrettably, it was part of a tour package, and we were unaware of the extent of the cruelty beforehand. My family and I are filled with regret for having contributed to this establishment in any way. We are left feeling heartbroken and powerless, wishing we could rescue the animals from their suffering. They deserve so much better than this abhorrent treatment. I encourage anyone reading this review to steer clear of this place and refrain from supporting such cruelty. There are plenty of reputable sanctuaries out there that truly prioritize the well-being of animals. Please, heed this warning and choose to support ethical alternatives instead.

Elephants park. Very cool experience. Reasonable prices compared to south Thailand. You can combine the visit to the floating market with the elephant 🐘 park. Price for a private canoe up to 4 persons is about 2000-3000baht. Elephant ride costs 700baht per person There are also some tigers and lions to see and get photos but they are unreasonably expensive

Are these animals being exploited? Yes they are, but elephants in Thailand are working animals. The elephant ride was ok. Feeding the elephants was more fun. My daughter enjoyed the monkey show, we didn't look at it, as everything was extra. The tiger experience was really good. It is a bit sad that the animals are kept in small enclosures, so if you don't like that, probably best not to come. If you want their photos, then they are 250TBH each, and there will be lots.

I had the interest of going to this place because I am curious about the Long neck tribe & they’re fortunately around this camp. I was able to see & interact with them was the best part. But the thing about this camp, especially when you’re one who cares a lot about animals, then I suggest you skip the visit. In my experience, from the entrance itself, I saw Elephants crying inside or perhaps sad because of the way they’re exploited (such as riding them, paying for every good photos you have with them, elephant show, among others). It was an elephant circus that’s not for the faint of heart. Also, they require payment for everything even at taking photos. So that alone is something annoying for me. Nevertheless, I got what I wanted & that’s meeting few of the long neck tribe.

I went to Chanp Puak, but I didn't ride the elephant. The group I went with went on them; the poor elephants looked exhausted and hungry and needed a bit of TLC. That's not my thing, so I can't comment on the elephant ride, only on how the poor animals looked.
