I had a car rented during my holiday on the island, but unfortunately I couldn't use it to rich Cala Turqueta and Cala Macarelleta. Starting with June until end of September the access to these two caves with car is impossible but with bus only. This is because the parking spaces are limited on these 2 beaches and the acces from the main road/highway to them is very narrow. So, the best way to reach to the beaches from whatever you are located in Ciutadella, Cala n Bosch, Cala Blanca is to reach the bus station "Via Perimetral" - Ciutadella . From here you can take bus Nr. 68 to Turqueta or bus Nr. 69 to Macarelleta. It cost 10 Euros per person covering both ways for each destination. Once arrived , you will need to walk for up to 15 min. through forrest to reach the sea. It s worthed, the water is pristine, beautiful colour, silence. Enjoy. Ps: Don t forget to return in time to your scheduled bus.

We just love the old capital! We visited in May and it was so peaceful to walk the main streets and alongside the harbour. The shops were great & not expensive. Most cafés don’t mind you calling in for a drink but please ask as some prefer you to buy both food and drink. I would recommend sitting alongside or at the end of the harbour and watch the world go by! Also, please check out the local history. The cathedral is so peaceful and the historical houses are worth a visit too - all 5 euros each but please try to visit just one. Take your time and enjoy your surroundings!

The best beach in the west, better than famous ones because it's easily accessible at any hour, spacious and very diverse, you have sand, you have rocks, you can even surf.

We liked this beach a lot despite being out of our way from Ciutadella. It is a beautiful sandy beach with lots of space. The water is beautiful although can get a little rougher than in other places. But our little one loved riding the waves ;-). It is still shallow enough and there is a great restaurant „Es Bruc Norte“ which we already loved down South. Would definitely recommend this beach to anyone who is looking for easy access (not the usual 15-40 min walk from the parking spots), space, white sand, clear water and amenities like restaurants and shops. We found it an ideal combination of remoteness and services.

Very beautiful spot to watch a sunset/sunrise. Be aware that it's pretty tricky to walk on the rocks so my recommendation is to wear a comfy shoes.
