Fantastic tour of the distillery led by Scott. Really informative about the history of the distillery and the area. Brilliant local knowledge including the wildlife in the area. Lorna was wonderful too. Would really recommend the tour. Looking forward to our next visit if we come back to Arran in the future.

What a fantastic place! Tour was brilliant and delivered with such passion by Sarah, she really knew her stuff and was able to answer all the questions that were thrown at her. The staff were great. Bought some whisky at the end of the tour which we decided to have shipped home. Highly recommended.

Lovely location and really friendly staff at this distillery. Tried my hardest not to be tempted by the single malts but failed and bought a bottle of the 10 year old in the end 😉. Highly recommended visiting here and sampling some of the whisky - the whisky tasting experience is superb 🥃

What a great spot to visit! Scott was a fabulous tour guide of the distillery and I had a very tasty lunch in the cafe. Everyone was very friendly and it was the perfect place to escape from the storm outside.

Arran whisky is distilled here, I will let you judge the whisky however the distillery is well worth a visit. The location is stunning and only about 5 minutes drive from the ferry port of Lochranza, which sails from Claonaig on the mainland. The shop has a good variety and the staff are excited about the whisky and experience they give visitors, especially on special release days. Also worth a visit is their sister distillery Lagg, who h is literally the other end of the island.

Yesterday I did The Arran Malt Experience Tour, which was very informative. Mark & Amy did a great job in explaining the whisky process and the history behind Arran Whisky. A totally enjoying experience and loved sampling some of the whisky too.

So interesting! Very well presented. Tasting session very well received. Bottles provided for the ‘drivers dram’ so they can be enjoyed by drivers once the car has been parked up for the night. Wonderful idea.

Sarah was AMAZING, the best whiskey/distillery guide I’ve come across in 50 something visits over the last decade. I rocked up for my 2:30 premium tasting at 11 due to some ferry issues and she was able to sneak me onto an about to start tasting. She perfectly accommodated a couple with limited English who had really never had a pour before and myself. They got exactly what they needed to have a great time, and so did I. She had recommendations for my togo bottle, contacted their sister shop and located a bottle they were out of for me. It is so obvious to the enthusiast when we are presented with a guide who matches our passion for the final distillery product. While it's nice to hear from the ops side of things and I’ve had some good tours from non-whiskey drinkers, this was truly a fellow enthusiast who speaks the language from my POV and she made my trip to Arran so amazing.

Everyone's whisky taste can be different, but the quality and variety of spirit made here is really impressive. As is Billy who led us on an excellent chocolate whisky pairing which had some good talking points. Definitely coming again

Had a great tour with Scott. The cafe is very good but the 10 year old whisky is the best.

This was a great experience for whisky novices and aficionados alike. It was presented in a warm informal way in a comfortable environment. The tasters were encouraged to give their opinions and feedback on the varied and interesting whiskies that were given to us to taste .The host Olivia was so knowledgeable and keen to share it with us. All in all a first rate experience. I shall definitely look for future events hosted by Lochranza and Lagg distilleries in the future.

Brilliant tour! Our guide was very knowledgeable on Arran Whisky and the island. We had a great time and this rounded off our trip nicely. Based on the great experience we decided to buy a bottle of heavily peated - cherry cask. Would recommend.

This is a brilliant way to spend a couple of hours on the island. Really interesting and great fun! Our guide, Mal, made the tour especially enjoyable - he’s clearly incredibly passionate about the Isle of Arran and about Arran whisky - his passion and enthusiasm were infectious. His sense of humour also made this a really fun experience! As souvenir we each got to keep our wee dram glasses after a tasting in the cosy bar area, unfortunately I was driving but Mal offered a “drivers dram” to take away meaning I didn’t miss out which was so appreciated. The gift shop is great too, loads to choose from and reasonable prices. We didn’t visit the cafe but it looked lovely. Money and time very well spent and would definitely visit again!

An absolute gem of a whisky distillery and one of the most picturesque distilleries there is around in the whole of Scotland, which is situated on the north side of Isle of Arran in the village of Lochranza. The distillery looks absolutely fantastic on the outside blending in well with the mountains in the background but is even better on the inside with a variety of stellar tours around the distillery learning about the process of whisky making and to tasting the different drams they produce. The range of tours are The Basic Distillery costing £15 lasting 1 hour where you walk through the distillery seeing the whiskey making process up close and personal and try a 10 year old single malt and Arran Gold Cream Liqueur and one of the other tours is the Lochranza Select Tasting lasting 90 minutes and looks deeper into the range of Arran Single Malts made at the site and allows people to try one of their cask strength and limited edition whiskies. The Lochranza Select Tasting costs £40 each. There are other tours besides the ones mention and these can all be viewed on their website to get further relevant information. The tours themselves are absolutely amazing where the whisky making process is discussed in absolute enthralling and informative detail by the tour guides who are very enthusiastic, friendly and knowledgeable about the subject matter well. As stated earlier on the tours you head right up into the distillery which can be very hot and noisy where the tour guides show the equipment used in the Whisky making process and how they aid in the process of whiskey process allowing you to have an idea and a full picture of how whisky is made. The distilling room in particular is an absolute awesome sight with the stills in particular being the standout with their imposing copper structures which do look great and are an iconic reminder of the whiskey making process. Another great aspect of the tour is the introductory video you watch about the history of the distillery how it started and how it is grown to being a top distillery and renowned for making the Arran Single Malt and this is further complemented by a nice interesting display the historical synopsis of the distillery and how it grew, which is housed in the downstairs area of the Visitor Centre and the display can be viewed prior to any of the tours starting and is a great way to wet your appetite for those tours ahead and get an idea of how the distillery has grown in size over the years. Another fantastic element of the distillery and the tours is the fact that the single malt is made from the purest methods used by any distillery in Scotland with natural freshwater coming from Loch na Davie which is located further up the valley from the distillery and the water comes down the stream which is located behind the distillery. The tasting at the end of the tour is excellent and you can get the great tastes of the renowned 10 year single malt and also the Arran Gold Cream Liqueur. There is a gift shop on the site selling a range of Arran Malts and also related merchandise at reasonable prices and also there is a cafe with a range of food and drink at affordable prices. The outside of the distillery offers some of the most breathtakingly picturesque views on Arran there is and also you can also see one of the stills from yesteryear on display and looks magnificent in the grounds. Overall this place for a fabulous and enjoyable day out to see the whisky making process up close and personal and also see one of the purest methods around for making it. Definitely an attraction worth visiting whilst on the Isle of Arran.

Very well taking care of. Great interior, replica of the piano resembles one from Buckingham Palace. Lovely garden and beautiful estate. Can spend half of the day just wondering around. Very neat pine-corn summer house. Castle situated very beautifully with wonderful views on the water. Staff was exceptional and had many great stories to share.

It's a shame the castle is covered in scaffolding. I did appreciate the inside of the castle and loved the staff being able to tell us more about the rooms. The gardens are an absolute must for anyone visiting the Isle of Arran!

Had a fantastic visit to the castle and gardens. The guides were lovely and very welcoming and the castle has been well looked after. There is also a trail for younger visitors to follow. The entrance is via the shop. There is also a cafe. We visited about 20 years ago and the place looks the same and is better. At the side of the shop are some Victorian games plus a grand national game. This is game where you throw a ball and get it into a hole and move the horse along. Tokens from the till in the shop. The gardens are fabulous. The plant hunters walk and the Bavarian Summerhouse is a must. Enormous tree ferns are fantastic it’s like being in Jurassic park. The amount of rare plants including the Rhododendrons growing in the garden is unique to Arran due the micro climate. The views from the garden are lovely. The walled garden is beautifully set out and the silver trail is interesting as there are various sculptures some you can play. When we visit again we will be returning.

Brodick castle is absolutely amazing. I keep returning here every year learning something more about history. The gift shop is great too and everyone is really friendly at the entrance gate too. There is nice cafe restaurant as well for refreshments. Love this place👌❤️

Beautiful castle and grounds, reasonably priced for family ticket. Kids had an absolute ball doing the mice and safari hunt. Huge well done to Alec in the castle who gave a personal tour to my little ones, they were engrossed when he was telling about the history, made it so interactive for them. He even took the time to show us items of particular interest to us (as we are nurses and there was a photo of one of the royals in nurse uniform). Kids loved the adventure park. Great day out.

Fabulous National Trust of Scotland property with excellent gardens and tree lined walks within the grounds. Also, the castle is definitely worth a visit. The top point is seeing red squirrels, these very endearing animals are a must-see from the purpose built hide. This is highly recommended if you ever visit the Isle of Arran.

Beautiful gardens to explore with imaginative play areas for kids. When we visited the azaleas and rhododendrons were displaying an amazing array of colours! Fascinating collection of trees carefully planted to make this beautiful parkland, including one by HRH Princess Elisabeth in 1947 way before she became our longest reigning monarch. Castle well worth visiting too and the dog friendly cafe serves hearty soup and tasty subs for when you've expended your energy exploring.

There is something for everyone here. The castle was very interesting with plenty of rooms to explore and staff to chat to about the history of the place. The country park has gardens, play parks, and many other things to see, such as the Bronze Age Roundhouse! The cafe near the main car park was nice and offered a good range of cakes, snacks and drinks, as well as indoor and outdoor seating. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Arran.

A red sandstone, 13th century castle on the Isle of Arran, Ayrshire. I had to double check myself. Thought I was in Glasgow's west end. The castle nestles in the shadow of goatfell mountain which stands at 874metres, the highest point on the island. The woodland gardens are stunning.

Dropped in for a quick visit one afternoon when I'd finished having a look round the shops in Brodick. I got in free, being a NTS member, which was great as I didn't have much time. Part of the front of the castle was covered in scaffolding, but part was free of it and I was able to see what the building would look like without the scaffolding. Inside there is a small shop with some nice souvenirs at reasonable prices. The most striking part of the castle was (I thought) the wall with all the stags heads displayed. I felt a bit sorry for the stags though... Outside there are nicely laid out gardens. A nice way to pass a couple of hours, or more.

The castle (or stately home) was interesting, but not my cup of tea. The grounds were extremely impressive. It was lovely to see the red squirrels and birds in the hide (sorry about the poor quality of the video), the cheeky little squirrel 🐿️

Outstanding attraction. Huge site to explore. Sadly the castle was partially covered in scaffold but you could still go inside. The iron age roundhouse was a bit of a trek & unless I visited the wrong place, had burnt down some time ago - the views were good though. Brass band playing at the café was nice. Well worth a visit in my option!

Not visited for over 10 years. Catering better for children visiting with a very good play area. There's also a treasure hunt in the castle to keep them amused while adults can admire the interiors. The exterior fabric is being maintained at the moment so there's scaffolding. Lots of walking in the extensive grounds. Bus service to castle meets the ferry but you're better walking back because the timetable isn't frequent.

Worth a visit as part of a day trip to Arran. Impressive stately rooms and grounds plus some nice outdoor modern art sculptures. Foot passenger prices are less than £10 return and it's a couple of mile walk or bus to the castle or take your bike for free on the ferry but do book it on.

I did not go inside to see the castle the day I went, but I did pay the admission to visit the gardens, which were worth it. They have many lovely walks all around the property, heading all the way down to the water and through the woods, and you can see a lot of wildlife in the area. Check out the squirrel hide, where you can catch a glimpse of red squirrels. And afterwards, make sure and stop at the café near the car park. They had some excellent selections.

I placed an order on 30 December 2022 that has still not arrived as of 20 January 2023. The DHL tracking is sporadic and vague. Tracking entries show the package departed to the destination country on two different dates. The merchant has provided me no information on the package delivery date. The package finally arrived 21 January; 23 days after the order was placed. Time to find a new delivery service.

Arran Aromatics is one of my favourite brands whether for a gift or for myself. Lot's changed since the first time I visited Arran Aromatics about six years ago. They changed most of the names and sell more things in plastic bottles (many still in glass though), but the quality of scents is as good as it's always been. Yes it's pricey, but I think it's worth the money. They do different deals from time to time where you can get some pretty decent freebies. And even if you won't buy anything I think it's still worth a visit. You can have your wee ones have a shot at making candles and see a part of the factory. Yes, pups need to stay outside.

Love Arran Aromatic products so it was great to top up our stock. Plenty of bargains to be had. As it was a Sunday it was not very busy, so it was a good time to browse

When on holiday, I always call here to get my shaving products. Relatives also give me a list of products that they want brought back. You can try before you buy, even with hand washes, as there are two sinks to wash your hands. The staff are very helpful in giving advice. New products are coming out all the time & it looks like Sannox will be my favourite.

I have always loved the Arran products. They smell great and are amazing to use. They are also really affordable. The store it's self is also really lovely, huge selection of products and even a view into the workshop so you can see how they are made. The staff were also very helpful and friendly

Best soap. If we can’t get to Arran in person, the shipping is perfect- fast and free over £40. Couldn’t ask for more!

We just visited the other day and we're so happy with our purchases. The soaps are high quality with clean ingredients and they're worth every penny! The women who helped us were so sweet and very hospitable. I'll definitely return on our next visit.

Really great shop, I love that you can actually see the factory in the back and they have all available products here. It's a very nicely laid out store, great staff too!

A must see for those interested in ancient sites, as well as those interested in an atmospheric view. Even in rainy conditions the hike is worth it, and takes about an hour or so return from the small car park. The stones themselves are from around 1800bc, and the overall site is contemporary with Stonehenge, with the areas still visible replacing older wooden structures. Beautiful colours and quiet, a place to contemplation and one not to miss on Arran.

Several circles of standing stones all within a mostly flat walk on fields for about 2km Car park is signed and the rest is quite easy to follow. Some stone circles have markers explaining details about them and their history or about environmental initiatives in the area. Some of the circles are really impressive, with a few standing up to 5m.

Ancient stone circle. Easy walking along the farm path. The trail can be wet and muddy and full of cute circular sheep poos. It's not difficult to walk from the car part by the entrance of the farm path. The information of these stones and slates are well addressed. Definitely worth visiting.

If you like prehistoric history and the enigmatic mystery of stone circles this is an ‘Amazing Place!’. Loved it. I’d never heard of it until my wife and I visited Arran for the first time. Well worth the boat trip from Kintyre!

Easy walk to the stones. Probably one of the best collection of stones I have seen. The area itself is just amazing, very peaceful and tranquil. Would thoroughly recommend a visit. Could have stayed there a lot longer.

Well worth the visit but be aware the first set of stones are only the 1st of many so keep walking another kilometer to reach the man complex of monuments.

Second trip to Arran and first visiting Machrie Moor Standing Stones, we put this off in September due to getting soaked visiting the Kings Caves and guess what, it rained almost nonstop on this trip too, the walk to the stones is easy enough on a farm track, takes no more than twenty minutes where you are greeted with three separate sets of standing stones, worth a visit when touring the Island.

Incredible walk, especially in the sunshine, especially for little ones. More or less a flat walk but with so many interesting things to see along the way. My kids loved being close to the sheep too. They found it very amusing, which made the walk full of giggles. The standing stones became discussions about our favourite movies, folklore, and myths. I would say go with your little ones, you'll all enjoy the experience.

This was fantastic! The drive was fun - such beautiful sights. The parking lot is frightfully small & full for such a popular attraction. Excellent sineage & path upkeep. So many great things to see & experience. I'd reccomended washrooms and a seating area at the parking lot & seating halfway. Lots of seniors & disabled walkers would appreciate this addition. 90% of walkers fit this description. It's not wheelchair friendly. There are a lot of sheep in the fields you walk, so this is NOT dog friendly unless your dog is leashed and not a psychopath. Unfortunately, out of control, madly barking dogs happened while we were there. This is inappropriate. The stones were fabulous & we enjoyed the entire experience. More interpretation and interactive signs/information would be great. Great visit!

We found this super interesting, the history really is fascinating. It's a short walk 1 1/2 - 2 mile walk, easy terrain.

Nice walk from car park to stones, not too strenuous and only a few small hills. Car park is tiny and was full in September, we had to wait for a car to leave to get a space. Could be a nightmare in the summer. No toilets here

Not too far of a walk from the car park to the stones. First thing you come across is the cairn, then a bit later on are the circles. The circles themselves have a magical quality to them, with their surroundings nothing short of beautiful. Lovely ruined farm too, if you want to be a tourist and have a poke about.

Machrie Moor Standing Stones are testament to Scotland’s rich prehistoric heritage, a serene experience amidst Arran’s natural beauty.

Atmospheric and extensive ancient monument site good for even a wet and windy day.

Beautiful sunshine made for a lovely walk and there was enough to see along the way to stop our 6 year old complaining too much. The stone circles themselves were impressive sights and I was left feeling as though this was once a far more important location than is let on. By the time we got back to the carpark it was quite busy so we clearly timed out trip well by arriving in the morning. Well worth the visit.

Beautiful peaceful location with scenery so pretty... The castle is locked off so you can't go inside but still a great place to just sit and watch the world go by.. xx

Popped in while driving through Lochranza - the location is very atmospheric and the castle itself about 800 years old in its original form. You can only view from outside unfortunately, but there is a useful info board outside.

Probably the best spot on the island for me in terms of postcard image view. Stunning. Go there the moment you arrive on Brodick. The drive coming from the west coast is something you’ll never forget.

Lochranza is a beautiful place and the castle stands proudly alongside a stunning bay. It makes a perfect quick stop off being only meters from the road with room to park. There are also picnic benches available to use overlooking the bay. Access to the outside of the castle is wheelchair friendly along a tarmac path. The castle itself was barriered off when I visited due to unstable stonework so I couldn't go inside, but there were information boards to read and the quiet peaceful setting early morning was a still a wonderful experience.

Not a museum, just a ruin. Interior not accessible due to dangerous structure but being worked on to make it safe.

Very well preserved Castle on the banks of Lochranza. You can walk up and explore around it (free of charge) but you cannot explore inside.

A real beauty spot at the North end of Isle of Arran. Lochranza Castle nestles in a tidal basin filled with glorious reflections in the surrounding waters. Only 17 miles from Lamlash bay where our hotel was over what's known as the string road with its beautiful snow capped mountain views.

Very beautiful ruin of a 13th century castle. The castle and surroundings are so typical scottish. Apparently herge and his assistent Bob de Moor ( he was actually the one who went to the UK to do the sketching) had the same thoughts because they used it as an inspiratie for a tintin adventure ( one of his best)

A beautiful little castle ruin in an amazing setting. You can drive right up to it which is cool. And its free! Lots of deer and sheep kicking about aswel so better to park at the side of the road and walk along.

As you arrive off the ferry from Claonaig you are greeted with the fabulous ruins of Lochcranza Castle, it's current fortifications built in the 16th century. The original castle was built by the MacSweens in the 13th century but by 1262 the Stuarts of Monteith were it's custodians after being granted the it and the nearby lands by Kind Alexander III. In 1306 Robert the Bruce is said to have landed here from Ireland on his path to being crowned King of Scots. After many other changes of ownership the now hunting lodge was abandoned by the mid 17th century.

The castle is by the bay. I personally like it a lot. You cannot walk inside 😔. The neighborhood around the castle is very beautiful ❤️😍

The Lochranza castle ruins are amazing. It was so interesting to see this just sitting next to the road. It’s such a gorgeous location too. It’s very easy to access also. You can’t go inside because it not in good shape, but it’s still fascinating to see from the outside.

A lovely museum and cafe. Only £5 to get into the museum which houses lots of exhibits about rural life on the island. Reconstruction of buildings and trades on the the Island. Various exhibits about military associations from WW1 & 2 and the unfortunate crashes. A good display about Arran Creamery which has since closed down and the Post Offices on the island. Also details about the Geo park and Neolithic history on Arran. A good exhibition on the geology of the island and history of the various minerals and rocks found here. Included the details of the various standing stones on the island. Also a lovely cafe on site with very good food. The cafe has inside and outside seating with outside under cover. A large car park so no issue parking and a cycle rack that you can lock bikes to. Would recommend a visit to see what life was like on Arran.

I was lucky to catch this before it closed for the winter. The buildings are great especially the smiddy. The staff/ volunteers were friendly and full of useful info. An easy walk from brodick.

A nice little museum. Good place to stop by even with kids - they have a play area. We spent an hour there eventhough we just thought it would be a short stop :)

One of the best museums I've visited in the UK over the years. Second best after maritime museum in Irvine. 25-30 minutes walk along the coast from the ferry crossing in main Isle Town of Brodick. £5 entry fee which seems to be a real bargain these days. Excellent value for money. So many things to do over there. Several theme exhibition rooms plus a unique cottage built around 1860 showing how Isle habitants lived back in late 19th/ early 20th century. Hundreds if not thousands of exhibits, amongst them agricultural equipment, garments knitted by the locals, history of the first Post Office in Isle, local creamery and ironmongery. Plus perfectly located tea room with great choice of cold and hot drinks and food. Sitting indoors and outdoors under the gazebo. Free car park for the car users. Gift shop and picnic area along the stream. Good toilet facilities Perfect environment to spend whole day with family or on your own. Helpful and knowledgeable staff members. Highly recommended museum.

A wonderful museum and cafe. Great experience packed with lots of lovely things to see. You want to know about Arran. This is the place to go!!

Fabulous place to visit, so much variety in such a small place. A good few hours needed for this visit. Very friendly and helpful staff.

An incredibly interesting, riveting and enthralling museum situated detailing about the people, the landscape and the history of Arran over millions and thousands of years. The museum is housed in an old Farm and outbuildings and there are a series of galleries about the Isle of Arran ranging from Archaeology, Geology, A Smiddy, Stable Block, 19th Century Cottage and a Milk House and all of these galleries detail things very informatively and are interesting and also the galleries are laid out in an easy to understand way and also are very well presented. In all of the galleries there is a treasure of trove exhibits to see such as a variety of different rocks in the Geology gallery and Neolithic Pottery and Flint Axe Heads in the Archaeology gallery. The Smiddy houses a Blacksmiths Workshop showing they worked during the 19th Century giving you an idea of the conditions and the equipment they used and also the Smiddy has an interesting small exhibition of how the Post Office worked on Arran and how people received their parcels and how items were posted. The Smiddy also showcases information about Peat Cutting and how Houses were used on Arran in relation to Agricultural use and being used to transport people and other goods around and you can also see some interesting items in relation to the use of Horses on Arran such as Gaiters, Stirrups, Muzzles, Blinkers and Driving Bits. The Geology Gallery details the Geological history and timeline of Arran through millions of years through to the modern times and goes through the different periods such as The Devonian and Cambrian Periods along with and so the Geological Gallery goes through the Geological processes of how Arran was formed millions of years ago to now. There are some interesting, intriguing and beautiful rocks within the Geological Gallery such as Carboniferous Sandstone, Tertiary Granite & Quartz which have wonderful detail on them. The Archaeology Gallery is in the Stable Block and details Arran's Mesolithic and Neolithic past and how people during these times lived generally and also off the land. The Archaeology gallery houses some great Neolithic pottery which is in superb condition and is some of the finest examples of Neolithic pottery at any museum anywhere in the UK and is marvellous has lasted that long and the Flint Axe Heads are also particularly good to see. The Archaeology also touches upon the rituals that people who lived during the Neolithic period had. The Archaeology gallery has an interesting video of a reconstruction of a skull of a Neolithic man that was found and what he may have looked and the original skull along with the reconstruction is also on display to give you a further idea and build up a bigger picture about it.The Stable Block also houses The Religious Beliefs and also the Church denominations that people on the Isle of Arran had and how some of these Religious beliefs have changed and altered over time. The other displays within the Stable Block are Agriculture and Farming, Tourism and it's importance to the People of Arran, The Suffragette movement and moving story of one woman's struggle who lived on Arran to get equal rights for women. The Stable Block also has some heartbreaking stories of pilots being shot down during WWII near to the Isle of Arran and sadly died. The other interesting areas in the Stable Block are some lovely ship models and one persons collection of shells. The 19th Century Cottage shows you how people shows you how the working people lived during this period and the conditions they lived in, which gives a real full idea. In the gardens there are some lovely views to see of a stream running nearby and also some tractors and other agricultural equipment to see. The gardens also has beach hut in the corner giving you an idea of how people holidayed when visiting the beach on Arran. There is a small school room next to the Cafe detailing how children have been educated on Arran and there is also lovely and wonderful piano to see as well. Overall this is a fantastic enjoyable place to visit.

I have been to Arran many times over the years and have passed the Museum on the way to other places. This time we stopped and regretted that we had taken so long to come here. A treasure trove of the history and the people of Arran. From the old cottage, the Smiddy. The schoolhouse and the farming equipment this place is a real gem. The volinteers we met were enthusiastic and informative and made our visit really special. Nice tearoom on site with freshly prepared soup and sandwiches and nice cakes. Small gift shop with a good selection of products. The setting of the site by the river is a delight and great for a relaxing sitdown. Great value for money. Just sorry that we didn't visit sooner.

Great place for a rainy day for all the family. Cafe Rosa is excellent for lunch and light bites. Toilet facilities are clean and some excellent information and Arran memorabilia on display.

Great find on the way back to the ferry. A well laid out small museum with some really interesting stuff even for the kids (12&7). The cafe/tea room was excellent. We had soup of the day, sandwiches, a pot of tea and a selection of deserts. The meringue was fantastic. Totally indulgent. Excellent service all round.

Great little place, lots to see, worth the five pounds entry fee. Farm machinery, 1910 cottage, blacksmith forge, various displays, shop and cafe

We popped in for a quick snack only to find a great variety of exhibits. Well worth a visit
