This luxurious resort overlooking one of the longest white sand beaches in Fuerteventura is perfect for families. There are 3 outdoor pools, a Mediterranean restaurant and a gym, making it the perfect place to relax after a day at the beach. Kids will love the splash park with water jets and mini clubs, while adults can enjoy peace and quiet at one of the outdoor pools or at the spa.
This place was great, I'm already looking at booking for next year. If you want kids to be entertained, this is the place. They work so hard & give it their all. Even during the day, there is stuff going on for adults, etc. Food was what you expect all inclusive, not great if you're a veggie, but you will get by. Staff are so friendly, rooms cleaned every day. Treat sent to your room if it's your birthday....loved it!!!!

What a great holiday! The room we had on the top floor had great views. The buffet was decent, nothing to shout about, but enough variety to please everyone.
The staff (especially the cleaning staff) are great, very helpful and friendly.
The hotel is halfway up a very steep hill so if you aren't very fit then you will probably only be leaving the hotel once a day. Getting back up to the hotel after some beers is a killer.

Brilliant hotel! Absolutely wonderful service and the staff are brilliant. Always willing to offer help, very friendly and extremely hard working! No faults with the hotel. They have two pools, one which was heated and one which wasn't but but both are spacious and vary in depth so there's always somewhere you can stand! The hotel is spotless and the views from some of the rooms are incredible! Can't wait to visit again. The only thing to be wary of is the hill up to the hotel which is very steep, but there is a bus that takes you down once a day which I belive is free but not sure as I didn't use this 😀

Our first trip to this area and we travelled for a 5 dat break to celebrate our anniversary. On arrival we had a lovely welcome from the member of staff on the desk as we checked in. A gift of a free upgrade to a deluxe room as part of our celebration and arrival at our room a free bottle of bubble. This was such a surprise and we were so grateful. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Food was great. Hotel was very clean, with all amenities on site and great value for money. We loved the touch of a shuttle bus to get you back and forth the beach. The only addition we would of liked was a provision of a tea and coffee tray in our rooms. However, all in all very good. Would recommend the hotel, especially for those with a young family. Thanks for a wonderful stay. Gareth and Lucy Edwards room 435.

I absolutely loved staying here! All the staff members were lovely and friendly. Food was plentiful, and I had no issues with what I ate. Lots of selection. I read comments, saying it got repetitive, but that's the same as any hotel! Just go for a week, and that won't be an issue! The hotel was so clean and tidy. Very big hotel, lots of space! We had no issue getting sunbeds. The pool bar food was also lovely. The beach involves a big walk, up and down a steep hill, but it's definitely worth it! I would definitely go back!

The rooms were nice but our AC didn't work and when we asked about it at the front desk they said they would send someone to fix it...they never came, three different times we asked and they said someone would come but it never happened. We gave up and just delt with a hot room. AC worked great in our other room we booked for our parents though. Grounds were in need of upkeep and maintenance. Roaches were on the walls of the bar in the hotel and in the public bathrooms. Food was alright for the price. Pools were clean and nice. Great gym but not open in hrs that worked for our schedule. None of the kid activities we wanted to do were open during our stay "princess for a day". Mini golf was closed down so we could not do that during our stay either. There were not many things to do at the resort other than swim in their two pools.

Lovely hotel, multi cultural which is nice, no fighting for sun beds in the morning which is a welcomed bonus. Food good choice in general as well as drinks.
Children’s entertainment staff (under 12’s) were great especially Sara, Marie and Esther a special mention there, Our girls have never done a kids club before but asked to go nearly daily and enjoyed the range of activities on offer.
Staff generally happy and helpful.
Room Cleaning was basic and a little rushed/incomplete especially as the wind was so high our balcony was never cleaned thoroughly enough.
Only shock was 12pm lights out all off, felt like you were being told to go to bed literally.
Water in room would had been a nice touch also.
The hill is very steep so a taxi is recommended.
But In General we had a lovely stay.

The room looks exactly as described, and very clean, the hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. Food is delicious and there are a lot of different dishes every time. Hotel is on the hill but it guarantees nice views of the ocean. The walk to the beach is approx 15 min, maybe slightly longer for return. Overall a very good experience!

This place is just perfect. We had half board at the hotel. The food menu was varied. The hotel is situated on a hill and we had a beautiful view from the room. Our room was not accessible by elevator, but it wasn't a big problem. The rooms are very cozy and clean, equipped with air conditioning. The bathroom is spacious with a bathtub. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Lovely hotel, although be warned, there is a steep walk from the hotel down to the town or sea... the food was probably the some of the best mass catered food I've ever had.
Only complaint was lack of info telling us that as half boarders we were only entitled to free water and coffee even with our evening meal.

Myself and my fiance have just spent a week here, absolutely beautiful hotel, the food was varied but always lovely. The room was very spacious and clean. The pools are very clean and plenty of sunbeds so no need to put your towels on 😀 all the staff were lovely and always greeted you with a smile. If you want a relaxing time then it's great, although it is very family/kids friendly so be prepared but there are quiet spots to sit away if you want to. The walk to the beach is on a downhill slope but a free bus runs if you don't want to walk. A taxi back was great for us and only 5 euros! No nightlife nearby but there is entertainment a few times and always stuff for the kids. All in all we really enjoyed it and recommend it.

Nice hotel, a little tired looking but clean and tidy. Food was average. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Had a wonderful week in the autumn sun!
Jamie Cohen — Google review
Lovely hotel. I read bad reviews about the food before we went but we had no issues. The food area is huge so walk around before you start piling your plate! The fresh fish is great and there's meat, fish or desserts cooked fresh to order at dinner.
If you've got boring English kiddos then there's pasta, pizza, fries, nuggets and cucumber every day.
Wine glases on tables and you're encouraged as all inclusive to bring those bottles to your table
I often go meat free on holiday and have lifetime vegans in my family unit. Their salad/pasta/ rice options weren't as good as some hotels, but equally nothing to complain about.
Overall, if you want to relax, eat and drink then I totally recommend 👌

Lovely hotel, great if you are fit as a fiddle. Lots of steps to climb to get to your room as lifts only go half way, then you have to climb, climb, climb. Food is of a good standard and plentiful but as with all inclusive deals it gets a bit monotonous after a few days as there seems to be a lot of repeat dishes and an awful lot of fish dishes. That said, there was always something on the menu to suit and I never went hungry. Our rooms were spacious and very clean. I was disappointed that there was no kettle to make a drink but the hotel was very accommodating and provided one immediately when we asked for one. The staff were fantastic! Nothing was too much trouble and their smiles were genuine and on their faces all day and night. They provided a first class service and made our stay perfect.

The hotel does not look like 4* hotel.
Actually it is really outdated and in a huge need of renovation.
Reception staff are very nice only during checking in.
The approach is totally different when you need something or you have a problem.
We had a problem with our bathroom when the water wouldn’t go down the toilet and also water was coming up the bath tub waste.
Both the bathroom and the bedroom was filled with a horrible waste stink.
We reported this to the reception 3 times over 2 days (2 times in person and 1 time over the phone)
It was logged only once and with ‘problem with toilet’ only - which the manager used as an explanation.
We were fobbed off and heard lies that somebody will come over to fix.
The only thing that worked was us denying to go back to that room with our kids.
Treating your clients like that is just unacceptable!!!
The dining area is very busy and messy at peak times (although the staff are very nice).
Simply not ready to accommodate the people in the hotel.
We will not come back to this place. Our advice - Best to stay away.

We have just come back from an Easter break. Although the rooms are a bit dated, they are lovely, spacious and clean. The food was excellent. Meat & fish stations, pasta, pizza, paella, fresh bread, smoothies, fruit and lovely salads. Also a nice desert station and a separate kids buffet which my son loved. The in house entertainment was average at best, I honestly expected more. There was a Tina Turner tribute act who was excellent though.
The onsite water park is brilliant. Lovely and clean and so much fun. The heated pool is excellent, especially as the weather was chilly for a couple of days.
The one thing I was disappointed with was when checking out. My 3 year old son had been poorly for a couple of days and was much worse on the last day. The onsite doctor arrived at 11am so I took him down. I then had to travel via a taxi to a pharmacy to pick up his prescription. It meant I was late checking out of the room by 40 minutes. I explained the situation to the receptionist but she insisted I had to pay 22 euros for the late check out.

Nice place for a holiday. The hotel as a whole was maintained very well. Staff were friendly, and there were plenty of sunbeds around the pool. Our rooms were sea view rooms. However, there was another hotel complex in front of this hotel blocking most of the sea. Rooms were very dated and needed to be upgraded. Walk to the beach is pleasant. However, the walk back is very uphill.

We stayed here for 5 days at the end of January. The staff, location and food were excellent. The pools are really clean and there's plenty of space and sunbeds. Very good selection of food at the restaurant, with lots of seafood. Big variety of drinks and exceptional view from the hotel. The beach is a 10 minute walk. We loved our stay here 😊

Firstly, you might think too far from airport but you'll be mistaken; it goes like the breeze. Our initial welcome set the tone, and our holiday began. Room was very spacious overlooking the resort with a view to the beach. What was very noticeable throughout the resort, especially our room, was the general cleanliness (A+ to our room attendant). Credit to the Food & Beverage team. The food was great, and the theme changed daily, and it had flavour, yes, distinguishable flavour. My hat goes off to Restaurant team for keeping it professional when the footfall increased but managed to service everyone, thank you! Bonus, beach on the doorstep (delight) with multiple shops nearby. The water park was a good addition too. Special thanks for my wife's birthday treat, which was a pleasant surprise. Overall, good resort for families and couples alike.

I'll never travel to Rabat without this trip planner again
The Playa Del Ingles beach in Gran Canaria is one of the main tourist destinations on the island. The wide golden sand and calm waters are next to the Maspalomas Dunes Nature Reserve, making it a great spot for swimming, sunbathing and windsurfing. There's also a good range of accommodation options close by, as well as plenty of bars and restaurants.
On Gran Canaria we went to some beaches to test out. This is in my opinion the best beach and I really loved it!
The sandy beach is so clean. It feels good for your bare feet. The water is clean, no algae. In the surrounding there are a lot of restaurants, shops and hotels. Also our hotel was nearby so it was a five minute walk to the beach. My wife and I loved to simply walk the coastline or simply lie down and enjoy the sun.
One thing worth to mention is the wind. It can be good or bad. You get to face high waves in afternoon due to wind and it can be big fun. But also wind makes the temperature feel colder, which is bad.

Nice beach area and beach itself but the area immediately around it needs modernisation as lots places run-down or closed down ie the places around the car park by the beach.
Convenient car park by the beach but cost us 13 euros for the day - we could have found cheaper parking though.
Lovely boardwalk along the beach that stretches for miles in both directions that is modern and clean.
Beach are itself is lovely and sandy and clean and because it’s so big even on a sunny weekend day it’s not over-crowded like some resorts.
2 stars due to the immediate surrounding area that feels cheap.
Sue Vogt-Skard — Google review
The beach is quite spacious, clean and well-kept, and the golden yellow sand, lovely.
The wind is felt, and if you can sunbathe between 10:00 and 16:00 (early Juaniary), then after 4pm you may need a light coat.
In some places, there are many areas set up with sun loungers and umbrellas that occupy good parts of the beach, and you can't sit with a blanket on the sand, unless you go a little further.
On the beach, at certain distances, there are stalls selling drinks (cold and hot) and something to eat.
Toilets are also located there.
Garbage containers are also located at suitable distances on the beach.
Of course it depends on the weather conditions, but when I went in early January - the weather was good and the water calm, clear and warm. Only one day there were stronger waves, but it was still interesting playing with the waves. :)
P.S. Paracetamol is expensive here, €8.00, so you can take it with you in case of need.

It’s a beach :) Two beds and a umbrella will run you ~8 euros (not a bad deal). If you’re in the area, great - but I wouldn’t be making a trek from other parts of the island just for it. It’s your general busy beach with some shops and drinks.

We went to Maspalomas (Playa del Ingles) to go to the Saturday market but this was a disappointment. The market covers a huge area but the stalls were all repetitive, similar clothes, leather goods, towels, table cloths etc. Later we went down to the beach area and found that the shops along the walkway near the dunes had a far better variety of merchandise and holiday trinkets for tourists.

This beach was the most disappointing one so far. I can't understand the ratings to be fair. It's windy, the waves are big, so it's not really family friendly. Few toilets and obviously not free. Everything is about rip off. The bars are here from the 80s, the whole place is dirty and uncool.

The west end of the beach near the lighthouse was pretty crowded even in January, and lined by noisy, overpriced bars and cafés. It felt rather tacky and touristy compared to beaches on the north side of the island.
The east end, towards Playa del Inglés, was quieter, but the whole area was very chilly in the wind. Good for the handful of kite surfers, but not if you're hoping to enjoy the beach.
On the plus side, the views are nice along the coast and across the lake towards the mountains. The dunes behind the beach are much quieter and more picturesque, and well worth a visit.

The beach is quiet and good, there are a number of local shops and restaurants there, the sand is very fine and clean, and it is possible to take a shower. The lifeguard is also based there and it has a safe and beautiful environment. We rented two beds and an umbrella, which cost seven euros and fifty cents. You have to pay by card. The toilet there is not free and you have to pay one euro, but the toilet was clean.

What a lovely little place. The walk along the front at night was well lit and safe. The walk from the Lighthouse to the dunes during the day was an experience. I had to cover the kids eyes a couple of times, but only because I wouldnt know how to answer the questions.

Playa de Maspalomas is one of the most iconic beaches on the island of Gran Canaria. This expansive stretch of coastline along the southern part of the island offers breathtaking views of the Maspalomas dunes and the Atlantic Ocean.
The beach is undeniably beautiful, featuring fine golden sand and calm waters. It caters to both sunbathers and active individuals, as you can enjoy sunbathing, swimming, surfing, and various water sports here. Moreover, there are numerous beach bars and restaurants nearby where you can savor delicious Spanish cuisine and refreshing drinks.
What truly sets Playa de Maspalomas apart are the dunes. These impressive sand dunes, covering a substantial area, provide an untouched and unique natural environment. It's a fantastic place for walking and relishing the stunning sunsets.
A visit to Playa de Maspalomas is a must for anyone exploring Gran Canaria. It offers a combination of natural beauty, relaxation, and recreational opportunities rarely found elsewhere. Whether you seek tranquility and serenity or adventure and fun, this beach has something for everyone.
The Dunas de Maspalomas nature reserve is a stunning desert-like beach with sand dunes covering 998 acres. It's full of wildlife, including palm trees and a lagoon, making it one of the best beaches in Gran Canaria.
The Dunes has got to be one of the most amazing sights I have ever seen. I was in such awe of this place. Amazing how nature just forms the sand dunes and just how different they form from day to day. At first I was intimidated by the height but after running down the side of one it was just way too much fun. The sand is so soft, you can just sit and enjoy the sunrise or sunset & the view will always be different. If you visit this area you must make your way here & take in the experience of the first morning view of the untouched sand, you will not be disappointed.

Simply beautiful at sunset or sunrise! During day even night ! When you’re on island you must go through to experience this desert like place . We’ve parked near Avenida De Alemania and walked through the dunas to the beach. It’s about 20min tough walk if you’re with young kids . And sun + 30 degrees doesn’t help 🥵. But it was well worth it .

Very unique place on the island. Worth a visit for sure, but we had seen plenty after walking through the dunes from Meloneras to Playa Del Ingles. It's a fun walk but come prepared and don't go on the hottest day of the week.
There is some nice roads through the dunes that you can follow or you can go your own way through the hills of sand and explore if you want.
There is also the beach around the edge towards the sea which is very popular but plenty of space for everyone.

This is a fabulous place to visit, a small patch of the Sahara at the southern tip of Gran Canaria. The dunes are beautiful and well worth visiting. Be advised, you will encounter nudists when you travel through the area, and I would advise wearing against walking barefoot if you venture off the paths.

These are a wonderful expanse of sand dunes that form part of a nature reserve. I read they extend to about 980 acres and certainly they are vast.
We spent a couple of hours walking along the roped off paths between them and enjoying them as well as plenty of lovely photo opportunities.
Part of the dunes were destroyed back in the 70’s and flora and wildlife lost but the island has a project to reinstate them over time.
They sit behind Maspalomas beach so we walked past them first on the beach then walked up the far side (west) and up the back and through them again.
We visited on a late Saturday afternoon and were slightly disturbed by the amount of male “cruising”, pairing and going behind bushes that was going on around one of the central paths of the sand- dunes as so obvious what was going on.

We had an amazing day here walking over the stunning sand dunes and along the beach. We walked from the view point along the back and promenade to the cafes at the beach then along the shore line towards the lighthouse. It was fun running up the dunes and standing on the top of some of them. You could see the wind blowing interesting patterns on the floor and see the sand coming towards you. The sand blowing in your face stang a bit, so make sure you wear sunglasses to keep it out of your eyes. When we got home our clothes were full of sand. It was so hot you needed plenty of sun screen and water to drink. Their was life guard and first aid stations and it was lovely listening and watching the waves crash up the pebbly beach. If you are easily offended by people on the nudist beaches I would suggest you walk at the back away from the beach. Definetly worth a visit to the place where some films have been made. Their are cafes and bars at either end of the walk. We took it very slow over 2 hours.

Breath-taking. Mesmerizing. Best to visit a few 1-2hrs before sunset so that it's still bright but not too hot to explore the dunes. Definitely the number one must-see if you visit Gran Canaria
Tsarlin Domingo — Google review
We visited Maspalomas Dunes around midday by bus. The dunes were great, and luckily, it wasn't too crowded. The sand was hot, but that didn't deter from the experience. One thing to consider is that the nearby beach isn't very family-friendly due to many people walking around without covering up in a public place. Keep this in mind if you are planning to visit.
Astroverse 1 — Google review
Really nice place to visit, right next to the beach. The sand dunes are stunning. You can walk them easily but sand is extremely hot, make sure you have appropriate footwear.

Like small sahara.
Just beautiful. Went there twice:
First time strong wind and sand everywhere, next time wind was actually refreshing and was lot better to walk there in the sun.

Incredibly beautiful place. Magical, even mystical. The sand is as fine as dust in places and glistens like living gold. Particles of magnetic black sand make it even more interesting. I am overwhelmed by the beauty of this place. You have to see it with your own eyes and experience it with your own skin/feet.
Martin Mitka — Google review
Beautiful spot. There are marked paths to
walk along and enjoy the dunes. Unfortunately, there are many ignorant tourists who ignore the signs not to cross in to the prohibited area. It has degenerated again since Covid. I brought my family here one night and as a result, have reduced my rating to 1 star….the dunes are covered in people. Very sad that signs are ignored. Don’t bother coming at sunset - it’s the selfie-taking IG crew covering the dunes from top to bottom.

A stunning place to visit, especially at sunrise and sunset. I'd recommend the viewing platform near the Riu hotel as the starting point as you can't see much from the beach side walk. The place can get quite windy so check the weather! Anything less than 10 mph wind is good for a walk. We went in January where it wasn't too hot (25°C) so it was perfect for walking around and the sand was warm at night for walking barefoot.

I visited in December. The temperature was about 23 Celsius degrees. The beach was good! Generally, it was windy, and, therefore, it is recommended to wear sun glass and a hat. Otherwise, the winds will transfer the sand into your eyes!

Fantastic dunes with rising piles of golden🏖️ sand. It is best to go there at night to watch the sunset as the sun slowly descends below the horizon 🌅. I would definitely recommend a visit.

A natural wonder in Gran Canaria, endless golden sands! Feels like extension of Sahara and makes you think how this has actually formed! There are even hypotheses around tsunamis that might have brought the sand … This is tranquil oasis and natural beauty! A lot of fun for kids too!
Yumbo Centre is a shopping mall that offers a variety of different shops and bars to its visitors. It is open during the day and at night, it becomes a gay-friendly temple to hedonism. This is the perfect place for a pub crawl as there are many bars and clubs to choose from.
Amazing place, it's all in one and most shops and bars/ clubs are open very late, great food and great music.
What more do you need all in one place.
I've had the best time and knowing this place was a short walk away made my time here so much more enjoyable
Jenny Dixon — Google review
Old shopping center with low level of shops. There are few shops that I can still consider decent, many others are below the average level about my personal opinions. All or almost all the elevators are out of service, that is incredible about my point of view, considering the number of tourists that are visiting this place. Restaurants and pub are the few positive things that I found here.

Lots of fun places, beautiful people and lots of fun there, lots of cute boys, for those who love them, also lots of cute older people, inside the beautiful families. Enough to see for everyone, women and men, adults and children. If somewhere on the English coast, then it is best to haggle there, but not all shops there work that way, but it is characterized by the fact that if you are told "the price is this, But I can let you have this at this price", but then it is almost certain that you can get the product difference; cheaper than you, it is first offered, even though it has been beaten slope of. Be demanding and try to bid very low, and walk away if you do not get that price, but my experience is that in 50% of cases, they run after you and say, ok. Restaurants there are not the cheapest, and not at all the best.

Went here almost every night of put holiday and I'm pretty sure it will be our last stop before we go home, it's everything under one roof, lots of guys trying to get you into there pubs, restaurants can be annoying.... but I said no. Thank you to all and made my own mind up, and not once was I pressured to keep going into those places, we ate in so many places too and never had a bad meal, all the staff inside are so helpful if you want something they don't sell they push you to the shop that does, great gift places too for back home, night life is something else we went to blue heaven, friction, Ricky's to say a few, easy ascess to all and so many to pick from you always get a seat.

Gay capitol of the Canaries but ok and safe for all. The darker corners get a bit seedy at night but equally there are some good restaurants with reasonable prices and a few laughs to be had at the Drag show bars. Getting slightly tatty now but does hale back to the 70's . Worth a visit.

I have just had the most amazing holiday here. The entertainment factor is just incredible. My favourite had to be Ricky’s Cabaret bar but there are so many to choose from for a great night out.

Something for everyone at this shopping centre. They have so many shops with all different kinds of stuff. Also amazing dining experiences with brilliant clubs and all have lovely and friendly staff. Spent a lot of time here as it was close to the hotel. Did not disappoint. Also come here for pride week and the atmosphere was like no other! Amazing place.

This place is a lot of fun! It’s a mainly LGBT destination, so if you’re thinking it as a spot for a family holiday then it may not be exactly what you’re expecting, but there is something for everyone. Lots of shops selling bits and bobs. Lots of places to eat, but mainly in the evening it livens up when all the bars open. It caters for all tastes, drag bars, men only bars. It’s very friendly and I’ve always had a laugh here. Made some friends and always enjoyed myself. Forgot to take many photos but here’s one!
James Ferran — Google review
A strange place. When you walk in there’s a place called the ‘bunker’, which espouses ‘fetish pride’…on the same side the square seems devoted to ‘cruising’ bars for men only. Not exactly family friendly. General vibes are not good.

The LGBTQIA+ mecca. By day a concrete shopping centre, by night restaurants, bars and clubs. It's nice to be in the majority for once and not fear holding your husbands hand in public. A shout out to sparkles and Ricky's, 2 drag show and karaoke bars. Taking a step back, I would say it is a little gay man focused, but all in the bars and clubs are welcoming. Plenty of events are held in the open air square in the middle. We missed our on winter pride by a few weeks having just been there last week (13th - 20th Oct), so it's worth checking out what's happening and when.

The center has over 200 shops, including clothing stores, souvenir shops, electronics stores, and souvenir shops. There are also a number of restaurants and bars in the center, making it a great place to go shopping and to enjoy a meal.
Yumbo Centre is a popular spot for nightlife, especialy gay nighlife, and there are a number of bars and clubs in the center that stay open late. The center is also a popular spot for street performers, and there are often live music and dance performances in the center.

Shopping centre during the day turns into LGBTQ+ Heaven at night. Over 40 (Gay+) businesses .. bars, restaurants shops, drag shows. It is where the main stage is located during Pride and Winter Pride

You have to be an open minded person to appreciate the 'eclectic' entertainment provided later in the evening. It can also cater to those with carnal needs in some directly named premises 😊. Earlier in the evening however, there is a vast amount of restaurants and bars catering to every taste. So to sum up, it's great to goto for drinks, entertainment, meals and if it's your thing later, clubs of singular taste.

4 or 5 lifts. Not one working. For wheelchair users this is a disgrace. We would have gone every night of holiday but couldn’t be bothered to struggle getting up steep ramps. Apparently been like this for 12 months Come on get at least one lift working.

Plaza de Santa Ana is a charming square situated in the historical Vegueta district of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Notably, it features a stunning cathedral, the Santa Ana Cathedral, and two iconic bronze dog sculptures at its entrance. Other notable buildings in the vicinity are the 17th-century Palacio Regental and remnants of the Bishops palace that was devastated by fire. The Museo Diocesano de Arte Sacro also houses an impressive collection of religious art.
It is a lovely square next to the cathedral of Santa Ana in Las Palmas which is surrounded by impressive old buildings . I would recommend visiting the cathedral ,it costs 2€ and you can get on the top and get access to a stunning view of the Plaza de Santa Ana and the city.I'm sure that the elegant architecture and the irresistible energy will make your visit unforgettable.
Moreover, there are some nice terrace bars, where you can sit down for anything ranging a glass of wine to a tapa.

Very nice peaceful clean plaza to hang out in the lovely under-rated Old Town of Las Palmas. Visited during a weekday in early May and very quiet. It was a cloudy day otherwise photos would have been really nice. We visited the cathedral and museum afterwards which is definitely worth the 3 euros.

I hope that this place lives forever in my memories because it is wonderful. Very charming whether day or night. My favorite moment in this plaza was the warm night before we left the island, stomach full of tapas and Spanish beer, cool wind, flowers in bloom, moon light shining down, and people all around quietly conversing or playing toss with their dogs. Go make some island memories at Plaza de Santa Ana!

One of the beautiful squares of Las Palmas located in the old part of the city, which is ideal for evening and morning walks. Great atmosphere of the streets and old buildings. There are many museums nearby that you must see, and remember that this is not a metropolis, it is a wonderful, quiet, not spoiled (yet) city.

The old town of Las Palmas is really worth a visit. If you are staying in Canteras area, take a bus, it's 1,40 euros to get to the bus station called Teatro.
Walk around, have a coffee or something to eat an enjoy! Lots of museums around if you are interested in.

You can see 8 green metal dogs. They represent the history of the name of Canaries islands. It wasn't from birds that the Canary Islands, known in Spanish as Islas Canarias, got their name, but dogs, or perhaps seals depending on what you believe. The name comes from the Latin word for dog, canaria, and was given by the first Europeans to arrive here

Las Canteras Beach is a renowned seaside destination in Gran Canaria, known for its vibrant array of wooden boats adorning the picturesque golden shores. It is a beloved spot for snorkeling enthusiasts, offering ample opportunities to explore the diverse marine life thriving beneath its crystal-clear waters. This popular urban beach extends over three kilometers and boasts an inviting esplanade lined with exceptional dining establishments and bars.
Visited back in February, what a great day. Amazing beach in Las Palmas. I appreciate the good free facilities and services such as toilets, changing rooms, showers. Also was very clean. The beach 🏖️ is very long and you can just relax, or do different sports or activities such as volleyball 🏐, surfing 🌊 or just take a walk 🚶♂️along the promenade where you can find lots of shops, bars 🍹,caffee☕ and restaurants 🍜. The beach is excellent. It is sandy with nice water and it is also very long so you can find different interesting spots where to stay. In the northern part the water is calm, in the middle you can find rocks in the water so be careful and in the southern part there are waves suitable for surfing. I would 100% recommend!

A fantastic place to be. Such a nice and wide beach with it's cool and smooth sand which is fantastic to walk in. There are places to change clothing and the security is high with several life guards along the entire beach. A perfect place for a day on holiday either if you want to swim or just lie down and rest in the sun. Or both.

Nice beach place with a long walkway next to the beach. A lot of restaurants and cafeterias can be find. Lot of local people at the beach which makes it feel more local than touristic. The beach has different „water areas“. Calm and almost no waves at the very top, waves and rocks in the middle. All in all very good for us (family with 2y old kid).

Playa de Las Canteras in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is an enchanting destination that captivates both locals and tourists alike. With its expansive golden sandy beach, turquoise waters, and vibrant promenade, this beach destination has much to offer.
The beach itself is clean and well-maintained, perfect for sunbathing and relaxation. The gentle waves also make it ideal for swimmers and water sports enthusiasts. The iconic rock formation known as "La Barra" adds a picturesque element to the view and is an excellent spot for snorkeling.
Along the promenade, you'll find numerous restaurants, bars, and shops, allowing you to savor delicious local cuisine and shop for souvenirs. In the evenings, the promenade comes alive with street performers and music, creating a lively atmosphere.
It's worth noting that the beach can get quite crowded on weekends, so visiting on weekdays might be a good idea for a quieter experience.
Playa de Las Canteras is a perfect destination for both relaxation and entertainment, offering something for everyone. A must-visit location in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria!

Very diverse and enjoyable beach! Plenty of sand :) ranging from normal gold towards Isleta to almost black near the surfing center. Weather is always warmer during the low tide in the first half of the day, rocks in the ocean are visible and all the rainbow fishes are out and easy to watch - they come close to the bay. You can even feed them-great fun for kids. Also this is a good time for snorkeling as waves are low.
In the second part of the day there's high tide and waves are huge, mixed with sand. The ocean takes back quickly most of the beach.

Playa de Cofete, located in the windward division of the peninsula, is widely regarded as one of the most desirable beaches in the Canary Islands. This remote and unspoiled stretch of sandy coastline offers sweeping vistas and crystal-clear waters. With a 12-kilometre-long shoreline that remains largely untouched, Playa de Cofete is truly a breathtaking destination worth visiting on Fuerteventura.
One of the most spectacular places on earth the beach is pretty much the whole west coast of Jandia. The beach isn't really for swimming as the Atlantic is crashing straight in but it's the untouched nature of the place due to the poor access. 3 main ways to get here first.is a 2 hour hike from Parking départ randonnée Cofete up over the mountains. Not very difficult tbh. Second is the drive the road which is twisty windy and unpaved. The third is the bus. The bus is a small offroad vehicle which takes about 12 pax

WOW! I will start with that to summarize. Everything about this wild beach is magnificent, probably one of the best in the world. 1st of all 14 kilometres of country roads circling the volcanoes it's slow and a probably scarry for some but oh my ... The reward at the of the road is out of this world, the feeling you get being there makes you think about creation itself. Millions of years of violent activity, volcanoes, wind, ocean and they have sculpted this! Nature overwhelming right there. Of you are on the island you don't visit this beach you are missing on a rare occasion to feel alive and humble. My camera does not make any justice to the landscape. Big waves are crushing into the sand creating a fuzzy view along the coast. Words are not enough to describe it.

Playa de Cofete on Fuertaventura offers great views and a huge beach with nice water. However, there are no toilets available and the road to access the beach is terrible. If you're seeking a true escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life, Playa de Cofete is the perfect destination. Located approximately 18 kilometers from Moro Jable, this secluded beach may require an hour's drive through the mountains on a rustic dirt road, but the journey is well worth it for the breathtaking views it offers.
The serenity and tranquility of Playa de Cofete makes it a hidden gem for those seeking a peaceful retreat. As you navigate the winding path through the mountains, the anticipation builds, and upon arrival, you're greeted by a picturesque coastline that stretches as far as the eye can see. The unspoiled beauty of this beach is simply awe-inspiring.
Driving along the dirt road, you'll find yourself surrounded by dumb tourists driving a hatchback as if it were a 4x4 but with magnificent views unfolding before you at every turn. It's an adventure just getting there to be honest.
Once you set foot on the soft sands of Cofete, you'll feel as if you've entered a different world. The beach is embraced by dramatic cliffs and rolling hills, creating a natural enclosure that fosters a sense of seclusion. The lack of crowds allows you to relish in the tranquility, where the only sounds you'll hear are the gentle lapping of waves and the soothing whispers of the wind.
While Playa de Cofete may be off the beaten path, its remote location is part of its charm. It's a place where you can disconnect from the outside world and immerse yourself in the beauty of nature. Remember to bring your own supplies, as amenities are limited, but the experience of this untouched paradise is more than worth the preparation.
If you're a traveler who appreciates breathtaking views, tranquility, and the allure of an off-the-grid adventure, Cofete beach is a destination that will capture your heart. Prepare for a scenic drive through the mountains, and be rewarded with a beach that feels like a private paradise, far removed from the stresses of everyday life.

Huge beach!
I drove with a SUV and thought it was really easy. You drive mostly in gear 1 and 2. Just don't drive to fast. If a local is behind you who drives faster just park in one of the many corners and let them through.
You can use any car. The only thing with a small car like the Fiat 500 which I saw a lot is that sometimes there are like hole where you have to drive slowly. Try to make sure that only one tire is in a big hole otherwise you can damage your bumper.
We went to Roque del Moro, Villa Winter and Cofete beach. I personally thought that Roque del More was more special than Cofete beach. It's much more deserted than Cofete beach. At least at the beginning of Cofete beach as it 14 km long.

~ this is a natural park. there is no proper infrastructure. Be prepared, if you go by car. Especially if you're driving a rental, since some damages and territories (natural park!) aren't covered. there is a bus.
~ beware of the ocean currents, it is dangerous and there is no safety personal.
- unfortunately, there is a lot of dirt, garbage and also signs of car break ins at the general parking space

Wow, amazing beach. It looks very natural. The view is breath taking. The beach is quite long. I would not recommend swiming, since the waves very quite strong when I was there.
But the road to the beach is amother story. There was no concrete, most of the time you have to avoid holes, rocks and other cars. I would suggest, the most skilled driver should take the driver's seat, also avoid the most busy visiting hours and pick the adequate vehicle for the job.

Cofete beach is southwest of Fuerteventura and can be safely defined as the largest and most beautiful beach in the Canary Islands. Its pristine beauty makes it a true pearl of the entire archipelago so much so that it is periodically used for settings in science fiction films … it is 2h 30’ drive from the north to reach this beauty - last 60’ drive are unpaved off-road where you can keep 30/50km per hour - enjoy your journey

Established in 1985, Oasis Wildlife Park is a zoo that provides interactive experiences with animals and captivating shows featuring sea lions and birds. It serves as an ideal alternative for those seeking indoor activities or during unfavorable weather conditions. Boasting a diverse collection of over 3,000 creatures, this expansive park also houses the largest cactus garden on the European continent. Additionally, Oasis Park showcases entertaining live performances by various animal species such as birds of prey and marine mammals like sea lions.
Came here a couple of days ago and it was amazing! Some of the other reviews had me worried, but I think they just didn't optimise their trip very well. You really get what you pay for as there are free live shows throughout the day. Me and My fiance viewed them all and they were brilliant! The food at the restaurant was also really nice, and not overly priced in my opinion. It's what I'd expect to pay at a zoo. We actually ran out of time and missed a couple of animals as well! We had to hurry back to our bus and didn't get time to see the lemurs! :O Transfers are also free (you don't even need to book a ticket online), so if you're staying at a hotel then they will pick you up from there. There is a timetable on the website, so be sure to have a look at that. But overall, it was a really enjoyable day out and I managed to snap a few photos on my phone. You can also get up REALLY close to the giraffes, which is exciting! And no, the animals aren't treated badly. I am qualified in animal husbandry and can confirm the animals were fine. Some could have done with a little extra space but the same can be said for every single zoo I have visited. You can tell the staff adore the animals, so PLEASE ignore the ignorant reviews spouting out nonsense in regards to the animals "looking depressed". All in all, I would highly recommend coming here!
YeetPea — Google review
Fantastic day out well worth the entrance fee. All the animals look well looked after and are very active. We were watching the otters and they were so excited when a lady in a green t-shirt walked past they thought they were going to be fed so if you wear green they'll be some excited animals 😂😂 a lot of the animals you can feed ( €1.50 for a bag of food, signposts on all animals saying if you can or can't feed them) I got to stoke a llama (so soft) and feed a giraffe from the palm of my hand!! You can get close to the animals (this was lovely and unexpected) which was amazing and everyone was really respectful towards them. We came 17 years ago with children and it's grown a bit since then but in a good way. Food and drink reasonable not overpriced. Free bus from most of the island which is a bonus.

This place is fantastic, it's massive, you can get really close to the animals, the restaurant is very tasty, recommended the burger. The sea lion show is fantastic. I just wish I had more time there to fit in the train ride and all the birds and plants.
We brought our tickets online the day before using a special promo code and got the tickets at a bit of a discount, the code at the time was "wildlife" ended up converting to about 25 - 30 pounds for an adult ticket. It's amazing value for how good it is.
It's a definite must if you're nearby.

The Oasis Wildlife Fuerteventura is superb!!
First, the Personnel were friendly and attentive at all times. Second, they maintain the cleanliness and the habitation of the sanctuary of every animal. Third, the Food on the Restaurant I find it fair on taste but a bit Pricey. Fourth, I witnessed the how they trained the Animals for show ( Bird show and 🦭 show ) with love and care. Lastly, the Botanical Sanctuary was really great and well maintained.
Overall experience was great and it is a whole day walking activity here because I thought 2-3 hours is enough but no… you need the whole day to see everything here.

FANTASTIC!!!!
We went mainly to see the giraffes who are so close you can feed and pet them. They were amazing. We took fruit with us and they loved it.
The zoo sell bags of hay to feed them at 2€ but they giraffes aren't interested in it.
It's a really lovely set up, very clean, very well cared for animals and lots of variety.
The bird show was fantastic. ( up a massive hill and over a km walk but worth it.
I would recommend this zoo to everyone.
I wouldn't hire a baby cart at 12 € due to the terrain.
Definitely take water with you and plenty of sun screen.
SUPERB DAY

What a fantastic hands-on experience! We fed the camels and giraffes with the zoo’s snack bags which are sold for 2€ and yes we bought many! The animals are so used to being fed that they are really gentle and kids can do it too without issue. The range of animals are good and the experiences are reasonably priced; you can go in with the lemurs or walk with camels, right up to meeting the elephants for example.
The bus to get to the zoo is cheap and picks up from so many hotels (takes 30 mins to 1 hour). To go home the bus leaves at 16:30.

Fantastic place, it really feels more like a safari than a zoo. Lots of shade for the hotter sunnier days. The camel ride is very good value for money too. So much to do it's hard to fit it all in but one thing you must do is feed the giraffes that is not to be missed

One of the best zoos I've ever been to. Everything timed perfectly. After the first section, monkeys, giraffes, elephants, camels etc, you get to go on the train across to the live bird show. Then a short walk to the live reptile show and lastly to the live sea lion show. There was a restaurant with top quality food which we had lunch at. Also a restaurant at the beginning where we had breakfast and a drink at the end whilst awaiting the coach. Would definitely recommend a day here. We have a 21 month old daughter and she loved every minute

Great place to visit with family. Easy access to car park. Toilets are located at each destination stop. The map was very clear. The staff are very friendly, but with poor English skills.
Very clean toilets. The restaurant's food was delicious. A huge portion at a good price.
The only minus: whenever you purchase online tickets, you still have to queue to get a paper one....

Lovely place to spend few hours on your own or with family. Loads of parking spaces available without any charge. Only issue we found, as we booked tickets online (online is few euro less) there was no information in the entrance if we can just walk in or collect something from ticket office. Finally we found out that we need to collect printed tickets from gift shop on the side to entrance. About oasis park all the paths well signed, you don't cross the same path few times. A lot of walking in the sun especially when you visit savanna animals. But also beautiful botanic side. Treats for animals available all over the way, you can feed lamas, giraffe or camels. For someone who previously visited Loro Park in Tenerife, Oasis is less busy, commercial and I find the place more peaceful. Food really good and with reasonable prices.

Lovely Zoo! All of the animals seemed happy and clean. We watched 2 live events- birds and sea lions. Both amazing. You can buy snacks for the animals(at the entrance and in a few other spots) and feeding them was a great experience. All in all- normal Zoo+ live events and botanical garden. I recommend!

Wonderful day out for the whole family. Able to feed the camels and giraffes and get up close with them. Need comfy shoes and light clothing though, as it's quite a walk to some of them. Take plenty to drink too, although there are a couple of places to stop for refreshments. Wheelchair accessible in most places, but some routes they are not allowed! Well looked after animals, great staff an all-around great day out for €36 if you book online.

A wonderful experience!
Loved everything about this zoo.
Beautiful and adequate animal housing, pretty cool shows (Fauna show and bird show - sadly the seal show wasn't possible during our visit).
My personal highlight was feeding the giraffes. (At the entrance you're able to buy food for the animals for 2€ per bag)
The botanical cactus garden was also very beautiful and worth seeing.

Lots of walking and steep hills so be mindful of with older people or young children. We only found out there was no seal show on arrival on a board so that was disappointed. We also paid extra for a lemur show but it's basically what we can do here for free on a UK zoo. A walk through and talk about them and that's it. Not many animals to see but you can feed some animals by purchasing food. We fed the camels and giraffe. Food options here are not bad at all and not as expensive as I thought.

Lovely wildlife park. Excellent experience not only for families with kids. It is a day trip. It's really big so you will spend the whole day there. There are some free exhibitions like sea lions, birds talking etc. You can also feed some animals.

Indeed a huge beautiful oasis in the desert. A place where you can spend half of the day enjoying different activities, gorgeous gardens, exotic animals and birds - some of them I've never seen in my life. Plenty of benches if you feel you need a break from walking, dozens of vending machines with drinks around if you get too warm under the sun, a couple of places to eat and buy ice cream. Sea lion live is the best experience! I would go here again for sure.

Amazing wildlife park. We did camel experience 1 which was great. Loved being able to feed fish and turtles for 1 Euro. Loved feeding the giraffes and camels. Lifelong memories. Staff all lovely and helpful. Hired a cart to pull our toddler in which was good. Amazing views from the tractor ride.

Oasis Wildlife Zoo is absolutely worth visiting and I would highly recommend the Lemur experience. You can get into the Lemur enclosure and spend time with them inside their habitat.
The giraffes are my favourites and you can feed them using the feed bags purchased for a very reasonable €2
The tickets are cheaper for residents of the island but you’ll need to prove it with your TIE card.
Been here twice and both times I’ve been blown away by how great the zoo is and how well everything is kept.

Lovely zoo with obvious attention also to the botanical setup, making it a really lovely and colorful experience. Loved watching the otters and feeding giraffes and camels. Unfortunatelly I was not lucky to be interacted with by lemurs during the lemur experience but got a chance to take some closeup pics at least. Lovely day, plenty of shade, not too busy - highly recommend.
Radka S. — Google review
The zoo we visited had a unique concept, rescuing monkeys and primate species from illegal keepers and traffickers, providing them a sanctuary when they couldn't survive in the wild. While it was clean and the cages were regularly maintained, I couldn't help but feel a pang of sadness for other species confined without a normal life.
The zoo's commitment to cleanliness and personal care for the monkeys stood out. Eucalyptus trees added a pleasant aroma, making the visit more enjoyable. Bringing snacks for yourself is advisable.
We witnessed a captivating bird show featuring prey birds in a distant, uncaged setting. However, I wondered about the keepers' methods during the day. The ambiance was perfect for photography, but the ticket prices could be more budget-friendly.
The staff was friendly and helpful, making it potentially fascinating for kids.

The place had a nice vibe, lots of shade from greenery so no worries about sunburn. There was alot to do and lots of animals to view. Many different experiences such as the Lemur Experience, which we went to. It was a bit short but overall the lemurs were cute and very tamed. There is a snack bar and buffet. There was a few shows you could attend without extra charge and botanical gardens. We enjoyed our stay here and it was a fun day out. Overall i have no big complaints and despite the price it was perfect

The ticket prices seem expensive at first but having considered the amount of animals we saw as well as the amazing plants the prices are actually reasonable. We went on a Sunday afternoon and it felt like we had the place to ourselves most of the time, it was very relaxed and there weren’t many people there. We were able to see most of the animals however some appeared to be sleeping. The plants, especially the cacti, were very impressive. Come prepared to walk up some hills!

Great animal parc to visit. Even on a Sunday, it didn’t seem overcrowded, at least in offseason. Plenty of exotic animals and plants. The shows are great too, especially the fauna live show.
The restaurant does the job but don’t expect something nice.
Samuel Gillessen — Google review
The zoo is a great day out, and not overly expensive. The birds of prey show is very good and interactive. The sea lions are very good, although the show was not on this time and there was no advance warning of it being cancelled. Feeding the giraffes is great fun and a good photo opportunity, but buy the food from near the giraffes not at the entrance as they prefer the fruit option.
We paid for the lemur experience, £15 euros, in my opinion it was not worth the money. It was only 15 minutes long, 6 minutes of information and then time to wander round the enclosure. I would not do this again unless the price was lowered.

Very nice green area with a lot of animals.
My kids (8,6,3 years old) really enjoyed seeing and touching animals.
Very large Spaces available for camels, giraffes, zebra and elephants.
Restaurants and bars inside, kids playground.

Fantastic day out, all animals where happy, and you can feed giraffes and camels. Facility's are great even for disabled people. It isn't that wheelchair friendly if it's manual as there are a lot of hills, but they do offer off terrain mobility scooters that make life easier. We did manual wheelchair, so expecting a good loss at slimming world next week. Fantastic day out.

Perfect day. Reserve at least 5 hours for this zoo and botanic garden but there is a lot to see and enjoy for the whole day. It is expensive but worth it. If you would like to save a little buy tickets online but you can do it the latest day before..not at the same day you want to visit. And you can bring your own food there are many nice picnic tables areas. Feeding animals like girrafes and camels was precious to me. Enjoy.
Lucia Luknarova — Google review
I would give it 3,5 if there is such possibility. Area is really vast and high differences are significant what makes it hard for trolleys, small kids and older people. Same animals are perfectly displayed and others not, there is lack of consistency in it.
Nevertheless we have spent here whole day and it was really good. Nice to hide here when winds are strong.
High expectations were set by high price there.
Michał Miszczuk — Google review
We visited the zoo on a lovely warm day, and it was lovely.
The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 stars is because we bought our tickets online, and then we had to queue to get our tickets. I didn't understand what the point was, and it meant we saved no time.
We used the free bus to go to the park, and unfortunately they've stopped doing the bus from where we are staying (El Cotillo) so had to travel to Corralejo to get the bus. It then took 1 hour and 45 minutes to get to the zoo, which wasn't terrible and the coach was nice so was quite pleasant watching the scenery. But I think personally in future, its worth hiring a car to do the journey down.
The food was amazing, I wasn't honestly expecting to have delicious food for such a good price. I had paella and my partner had the chicken escalope with chips. Great portions, good price, tasted delicious. The variety of options available wasn't something I was expecting but was great either way!
The animals were so much fun to watch, and as someone with a soft spot for tortoises, it was so much fun just watching them run around and eat for ages! It was really great seeing the baby hippo after seeing them get busy last year as well, almost like a part 1 and 2 series!
My favourite part of the day, and it's definitely worth paying for the food, was feeding the giraffes. They were so gentle and lovely and for 2 euro a bag, worth it for the experience!
Overall, it was a great day out and I would suggest everyone visit!

Situated in the northern region, El Cotillo Beach is renowned and impressive, with its notable stretches including Playa de los Lagos and Playa de la Concha. These two beaches are practically interconnected, featuring clear waters and fine sand that won't adhere to your feet. For a glimpse of the Faro del Toston lighthouse, visitors can head to Playa de los Charcos, which offers even clearer waters than its counterparts and is an idyllic haven for sun worshippers.
A lovely beach with natural lagoons. The coast line is quite rugged in parts however there are still plenty of sandy parts to sun bathe and the area has the typical Fuerteventura stone/ lava walled wind protecting "houses". As always please pick up your litter and take it home to help protect the beauty of the area and the wildlife living there.

Lovely beach with sandy shore and crystal clear lagoons. It is about 15 mins walking from the bus stop. There are toilets and showers near the life guard. We prepared drink and food for the day because restaurans and shops are not near. Naturists and bikini sunbathers next to each other with no problem.

Love El Cotillo, there are turquoise, clear lagoons protected from the big waves on one side of town. The big, wild beach at the other side of town is good fun for waves. The town itself has gorgeous little shops and restaurants. Being on the west coast of the island too means that it’s a great spot for sunsets.

The Corralejo Natural Reserve is a vast protected area known for its extensive sand dunes and pristine beaches. Spanning approximately 10 km from Puerto Remedio to La Salina, these dunes are the largest in the Canary Islands and are home to numerous protected local flora and fauna species. Their formation can be attributed to the decomposition of mollusk shells and other sea organisms. The reserve's beaches attract surfers due to the strong winds, making them popular destinations on the island.
Beautiful national park bordering the south side of corralejo Town down along the east coast for about 5 miles to red mountain.
Beautiful beaches large dunes reaching 5 and 6 stories high.
Interesting part for me are the little brown shell/ stone like objects you will find scattered I'm the sand with little half inch holes. Turns out they are little egg sacks that have been petrified from a long since extinct pre historic wasp.

The dunes are perfect for activities like hiking, sandboarding or just relaxing in the shade. The environment is very quiet, which contributes to a pleasant stay.
There are also a few beaches in the park, ideal for swimming and sunbathing.

Amazing dunes reminding of a proper desert. Apparently the sand was brought to Fuerta by winds from Africa - Sahara which is roughly 200km in a direct line. Well it is a must see place if you interested in sightseeing business. The only downside is lack of toilets facilities but being a national park it might be an explanation. You can visit anytime as it plenty of space around and it doesn’t looked busy the times we went there or drove pass it.

Wonderful! Do it, you won't regret it. Food is lovely & they dish out lots of wine & drinks for kids too. Beautiful views. Only warning I will give is TAKE HEADPHONES if you're getting the guided coach tour incase you get what we had tonight. Both have splitting heads & had to take tablets & lie down from being subjected to the worst "music" I've ever heard. Thought the coach was dragging metal along under us but it was playing on the speaker!!! Then a gap & a random loud dong & more screeching. Pure garbage. Pink Floyd I'm sure he said but honestly no beat or tune so 🤷 noise then yeah??? Loud awful random noise spoiling the views.
If you want to play anything up a Volcano play Lava or something for the love of God!!! Don't torture folk with blasting odd sounds at them. My forehead is throbbing so I'm coming off here. Definitely worth doing just remember to pack 👌

A trip through the volcanic national park is memorable, unique and obligatory.
Taking the bus for an on-rails experience had the benefit of bypassing a lot of the queues so I would highly recommend taking one if there is an option.
Although the scenery is breathtaking, there were many more "fun" things to experience on the island and even on pre-booked tours the whole experience is packed with tourists being herded through the whole time.

Very interesting to find out about the origins of the island. Such a shame that you’re not able to explore by foot but the free coach journey is quite good. It was very busy with a lengthy wait so go very early in the day or late afternoon to avoid a long wait/queue.

The César Manrique Foundation is a cultural and artistic attraction located in Teguise, built on an old lava flow. The studio-home and garden offer visitors a glimpse into the life and work of Spanish artists through their paintings. The foundation also boasts fantastic design, beautiful views, and cactus gardens that make it an excellent destination for culture enthusiasts who love architecture and design. However, individuals with mobility issues may find it challenging to navigate the site fully.
Spectacular place. A fabulous insight into how Cesar Manrique lived and enjoyed life from his house containing lots of exhibition pieces and information about his life. This place is very well set out and you build a picture of this great modern artist as you move about his home. I absolutely love his ethos and belief in the connection to nature to find what is beautiful wherever you are and create it into further beauty. He absolutely did this with his creations and local materials and landscape.
This exhibition v his other house gives you an insight into the more hedonistic side of him. The only insight I couldn’t get a grasp on was whether this side was a feature of his earlier life or whether it was just not portrayed at his other house. He created such amazing entertainment spaces that I just stared at and longed for!
The exhibition contains lots of interesting photos and magazine articles, as well as audio clips (with English subtitles).
I was totally absorbed for the 60-90 mis we were here and so wanted some of his furniture, design in my own home. It’s amazing some of the design of the lava cut out rooms he created.
Worth getting a combo ticket for Euros 17 (Instead of 10 Euros each) and visit both houses.

Cesar Manrique's spectacular house now converted into a museum is well worth a visit. We went with our kids (10 and 12) and they really enjoyed it.
The house/museum was built in the middle of a lava field so the views from the windows are incredibly interesting, but it's the house itself which is such a joy. Manrique clearly had a passion for life and it's reflected in his house.
Our kids loved the staff where the house was built into the volcanic bubbles, creating underground rooms and passages which make it feel like a Bond villain's lair.
Upstairs the house is full of Manrique's art and objects from his life. Plus holes in the floor everywhere looking down to the lower level!!
We were there for under an hour but without kids, you could easily spend more time there. There's a small shop selling Manrique items, a small cafe and toilets.

The build concept of this Foundation is also to integrate nature with human-made creations. The floor to ceiling wall gives visitors the feeling of expansiveness while viewing, lava, vegetation and mountains outdoors.
The late Cesar Manrique has interesting conclusions about our short lives and our environment that formed the principles with which he lived his life and how temporary existence on earth in Lanzarote could have preserved natural vistas.
Elsa C Lorenzo — Google review
One of the best 60’s houses I have ever visited. This is a must for anyone who loves architecture and who loves design. It is in perfect condition, a time capsule which encaptures the personality and intentions of the artist himself.
N Forster — Google review
Very unique property with exhibition of Cesar Manrique. €10 per person with free parking. There is a small take away coffee stand, small gift shop and toilets on site. Queue to get in was quite long and slow to enter but that was the only slight negative and at a busy time of year. Worth seeing if only for the bizarre architecture!
Neal Armstrong — Google review
Amazing! This house left me absolutely speechless. The idea. The genius behind of it. I didn't know César Manrique and 10 mins into the visit I was already reading everything about him. A marvellous visionary who LIVED inside the art. Totally worth of it!
Adriana Torregrossa — Google review
The exhibition at the moment is about his life, so there aren't many artworks, but the house is amazing, especially the downstairs spaces carved out of the lava - you can imagine the 70s bohemian life and get a feel for the times..
Chris Lenox-Smith — Google review
I absoloutely loved this place. It is obvious why Manrique is so revered on the island. His home built into lava tubes so super unique and speaks volumes about who he was a person. His personality (ego!) screamed out from every room, nook and cranny. I had a profound spiritual experience there. It was like I was connected to some higher cosmic force. Even though there were people all around mé I felt like I was alone in this vortex of deep connection beyond my surroundings. Absoloutely beautiful and life enriching experience.

A true time capsule in honour of César Manrique and his work. The foundation has achieved a true dedication to his memory by preserving a glimpse of his lifestyle and the passion he had and sharing his legacy to others to see, understand and admire. The foundation has managed to preserve impeccably his vision. Please do visit and spend time taking in all the art, surroundings, decor, as well as César’s message and vision.

Very interesting, like all artists he was very hedonistic, but he built a unique home. Well worth a look.

Wonderful place to visit but very popular so expect large crowds as you walk round the site. I wished I'd had more time there. Very well worth the visit.
Linda Boddy — Google review
The César Manrique Foundation is located in a unique building designed by César Manrique himself upon his return from New York, when he decided to settle permanently in Lanzarote.
Inhabited by the artist for 20 years, from 1968 to 1988, this is the house in which he lived the longest.
It stands in the middle of a lava flow created by the major volcanic eruptions that struck the island between 1730 and 1736.
In this building, which covers 3000 square meters on a plot of 30,000 square meters, reference is made to the relationship between the building and nature, which fuses volcano and architecture in a bond of mutual respect.

Friday morning about an hour after opening and already 2 coaches there, car park and roadside parking spots full. Queue if didn't have advance ticket. €10 each (children less). Lovely atmospheric environment despite the number of people. Quite struck by César Manrique's life well lived and the complementarity of his art with Lanzarotian nature. Not sure how we hadn't visited previously! Souvenir shop/catering fairly minimal.

Mirador del Rio is a picturesque attraction located in a stunning setting. This lookout point provides breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape that inspire awe and wonder in visitors. The location offers an ideal vantage point from which to admire the natural beauty of the region, including its mountains, valleys and coastline. Mirador del Rio is a must-visit destination for anyone seeking to immerse themselves in the splendor of nature while enjoying a tranquil atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Cueva de los Verdes is a stunning lava tube that spans almost 8km in length, created by an eruption 5000 years ago. The chasm is 1km long and offers breathtaking views as visitors explore the cave with guided tours available every half hour. Tourists can enjoy illusions inside the cave as they walk through, and learn about its fascinating history from knowledgeable guides who give tours in English.
Amazing views, straight as you walk in not only are you met by a friendly guide but illusions that are spectacular! Me and my family loved every bit of it and the history that is told by the guide is very fascinating! 100% would recommend !

Pretty cool place to visit.
There is a wait before the tour begins, you cannot enter unguided.
The whole tour took about 30 minutes. It is very easy to do, all the pathways are flat and smooth with only a few stairs.
You can take your kids, but unless you have them well trained you are ruining the peace and quiet for the rest of the group.
Very nicely lit, no flash photography is allowed so be warned.

Amazing experience, worth visiting this cave, be aware at times it is really tight and most people will have to crouch to pass but it is only for a couple of meters, plenty of space after. Really awesome

Amazing tour inside these beautiful cave. It is quite spacious but some parts are a bit narrow, the floor is uneven so be careful if you bring kids with you. The guide is knowledgable and make the tour very interesting. Buy thickets as bundle so you can save something if you planning to visit more sites in the island.

This place is not for old or disabled people, I saw them gave up after few minutes inside, establishment will sell them tickets anyway!
Very worth the visit, beautiful 45 minutes walk

Fantastic tour inside a lava cave 7 km long. Although you only walk about 1 km i was thrilled to see the beauty inside. You can only visit the tour with a guide so you might have to wait around 20 minutes before it starts. Inside it can be huge, but also very cramped, so if you are in a bad condition of have claustofoby, don't do it. The tourguide speaks spanish and english, and quite good. Good explanation. Come early because it can be very busy!!!

This is a must visit when coming to Lanzarote. This is a tour of the underground caves at the north of the island. It is very informative with the tour being in English and Spanish. You cannot self tour around here and must pay 12 EUR to visit. It is well worth it for the content and tours start around every 30 minutes. Plenty of parking available. Some areas are very narrow so you need be able to be physically fit. Optical illusion inside also.

Went here as part of a larger tour, myself and my partner really enjoyed walking around the cave and our tour guide was great, giving lots of information and history. It took us around 45 minutes to walk around the whole thing, it was one of my favourite stops on our tour.
The only thing I will mention is that for anyone who has claustrophobia, it will probably be a pass. While some of the cave is large and open, there are some areas where you're crouched down going through gaps or tighter squeezes and following down narrow steps.

The caves are beauiful and it is a must see on the island.
The tour is guided and that was a bit of a dissapointment because if you are the last in the group, you won't get much of information from the guide as you arrive too late or are too far away to hear.
We arrived at the cash desk at around 10:15 with no queues and were there alone for couple of minutes (09/2023). We had to wait for approx. 20 minutes to gathet enough people for a tour to start (around 50).

Oh wow I can't believe I visited this amazing place, I'm still blown away, one of the places I was told to visit was the Cueva de los Verdes (caves) and wow we were not disappointed. Setting off in groups of 50, crawling through these caves hearing all about the history of the caves was amazing, an experience I'll never forget. That was down to the guild too who made our experience amazing. Great things I can't give away as ypu have to experience it there at one point no phones. But wow The grand piano inside the caves Echoing Was truly something I'll never forget. X and you have to visit this historical amazing place, JUST BREATHTAKINGLY BEAUTIFUL.

Great caves with guided tour.
Wish the groups were smaller (they could charge a bit more and it would still be ok).
The music inside the cave is a bit of a downer - I’d rather hear the silence of nature
Tomi Cafferata — Google review
Wow that was unexpected! I had no idea the visit would turn out to be so good. In my mind I thought it’d be a 5-10min visit and be done with it. But No! The tour lasted for a solid 45min, 35 meters below the surface where you can witness caves created by old lava flow.
TIPS:
- Arrive early. We got there by 10.30am and had to wait over half an hour to get to the ticket booth. When we exited around 12pm, the queue had doubled if not tripled
- There are no bathrooms past the ticket point. So plan ahead before starting to queue up (WC are located in the car park)
- Be prepared to crouch as the ceilings are quite low in some areas
- You can bring young kids (we brought our 4y old) provided they can confidently walk by themselves. Whilst kids of all ages are allowed, I wouldn’t recommend if parents are to held them up for the entire journey. Too hazardous in my opinion

A lovely set of volcanic deep caves. A great tour guide and the underground trip takes around 45mins. No cafe etc just the caves. Can be busy to get in but worth wile.
Keith Allen — Google review
Quite nice inside cave, however extremely long queue to enter and huge groups of about 50, making the visit little interactive with the guide. Even though the wait gives you the time to admire the different tunnels, the guide doesn't give much information, besides what a common tourist might already know. Smaller groups and more in depth information on the broader volcanic history of the island would have been more interesting and stimulating. Ps prices have recently gone up to 15 euros per person and there is no more option to buy several attractions of the area for a cheaper price.

Lovely experience on a hot day. Very informative and some gorgous views. Attentive staff, just one small comment - for the safety reasons I do recommend, that the guide keeps people reporting any kind of problems or claustrophobic issues right close to them by default from start to finish. My friend had this issue and for the most difficult part we were in the middle of the group which worsened her situation. But we got out fine and managed. Just struggled here and there :-)
But the experience was definitelly pleasant and worth it.

An interesting, guided visit to the lava caves. The guide was knowledgeable and spoke at least three languages. The lighting added to the visual splendour of the caves and the paths through were well manged and easy to negotiate. You are taken round in groups of about 30 or so, so try to get towards the front if you can

Very nice place. Wonderful views. Free parking on site. Cheap entry passes. I recommend this place. Thank you.
The Catholic cathedral dating back to the 13th century is a beautiful sight in Faro. The Igreja de Se courtyard and surrounding orange trees are a lovely addition to an otherwise modern old town. At the heart of the city, the Se cathedral is a must-see for visitors to Faro. On top of the clock tower there are wonderful views of Faro and the Ria Formosa Natural Park.
Quite nice to visit. You have access to the cathedral, the upper level with a museum where you can see the cathedral from above, then a garden with a sun clock and 2 small chapels (including one with bones but not very well preserved) and the rooftop. The view from the rooftop are very nice, and you can see the bells.

Faro’s cathedral is a beautiful, tranquil place, a strange but enticing mixture of styles after being looted and damaged in an earthquake over the centuries. It costs €5 for the whole complex. The church is full of interesting features, from tiled chapels to opulent altarpieces, and it is certainly worth the short climb to the upper choir to see the organ up close. There is also a small museum upstairs, plus an external altarpiece made of bones. Climbing the tower gives unsurpassed views of the town and surrounding area, although beware as the first set of steps are steep and badly worn. Usefully, there are also toilet facilities on site.

From outside, there is nothing special about this cathedral. The interior though is a different story. There is so much art and history to make the place a must see if you are in the area. After that, going up the tower is the icing on the cake. Great views all around that stretch from the old town to the ocean.

This Cathedral building was started in 1251, two years after the Christian Reconquest of Faro from the Muslim Moors. It has undergone several renovations and additions since, the last major changes made after the earthquakes in 1722 and 1755. A rather sad historical fact is that in 1596 the city of Faro and the Cathedral were sacked and burned by the English troops of Robert Devereux, 2nd Earl of Essex, on their way back from the capture of Cádiz.
The altars and the various chapels are marvelously decorated and carved, some with tiled walls with biblical illustrations. The entrance ticket (€2.00 for the over 65s) also gives access to the tower, from where there is great views of the town, the waterfront and the airport. As we stood there, a white stork flew past on its way to its nest on the roof of one of the nearby buildings.
Across the inner courtyard there is a small bone chapel with skulls (mostly broken) built into the walls.

Tavira Island is a barrier island located off the coast of Tavira city. Accessible by boat or tourist train, this 11-kilometer-long sandbar boasts stunning Blue Flag beaches with crystal clear waters perfect for swimming. The island features several good beaches and is a popular destination for tourists looking to soak up the sun on comfortable sun loungers. It's also home to restaurants and even plastic bottle banks for fish disposal.
We liked the way you get there. By ferry from Tavira, 20min or so. The island is very green, has place for picnic, restaurants and small shops. The beach is huge, very busy in summer!

Ah, Ilha de Tavira, a hidden gem in the southern coast of Portugal, where pristine beaches, azure waters, and untouched nature come together to create a paradise for beach lovers and nature enthusiasts alike.
As I step off the boat onto this enchanting island, I'm immediately greeted by the sight of endless stretches of golden sand and the gentle lapping of the Atlantic Ocean. Ilha de Tavira is part of the Ria Formosa Natural Park, a protected area known for its unique ecosystem of salt marshes, lagoons, and dunes, making it a haven for wildlife and a sanctuary for those seeking a tranquil escape.
The island's main beach, Praia de Tavira, is a postcard-perfect scene, with its soft sands and crystal-clear waters that beckon visitors to take a refreshing dip. As I walk along the shoreline, I can't help but be mesmerized by the natural beauty that surrounds me. Seagulls soar above, and the gentle breeze carries the scent of salt and sea, creating a sensory symphony that soothes the soul.
One of the highlights of Ilha de Tavira is its ecologically diverse landscape. The sand dunes that fringe the beach are a fragile ecosystem, home to rare plant species and a sanctuary for nesting birds. The island's unique environment is carefully protected and preserved, allowing visitors to experience nature at its most pristine.
As I venture away from the main beach, I discover hidden coves and secluded spots, where I can find my own slice of paradise away from the crowds. The tranquility of these spots is unmatched, and I find myself drawn to the sense of solitude and peace that envelops me.
At the eastern end of the island, I come across the picturesque fishing village of Tavira, a place frozen in time, where traditional whitewashed houses and cobbled streets exude an old-world charm. It's a place where time seems to slow down, and the rhythms of life are in sync with the ebb and flow of the tides.
Ilha de Tavira is more than just a beach destination; it's a place to connect with nature and experience the simple joys of life. I spend my days basking in the sun, strolling along the shore, and relishing the freshest seafood at beachside restaurants. Evenings are spent watching the sun dip below the horizon, painting the sky in a glorious display of colors.
As I reluctantly bid farewell to Ilha de Tavira, I know that its beauty and serenity will remain etched in my heart. It's a place where time seems to stand still, where the beauty of nature and the simplicity of life come together in perfect harmony, creating a sanctuary of peace and wonder on Portugal's sun-kissed coast.

This is the main beach with the biggest “structure” in Tavira region and islands.
Several restaurants, camping and all beach facilities and services.
You can take the ferry at “Cais das 4 águas” which is much closer than taking it in Tavira center.
This is also the more crowded beach in the area, but once you arrive in Tavira island beach you can walk west to find less crowded spots.

Dar Tanger Medina is the old city of Tangier, characterized by a maze of narrow alleyways that lead down to the ocean. The central square, Petit Socco, is a hub of activity where locals gather to socialize and play games. Once frequented by famous literary figures like Paul Bowles and Jack Kerouac, the medina offers glimpses of the Bay of Tangier through its winding alleys and hosts vibrant market stalls selling various goods.
Location is perfect for someone who wants to experience the old world charm of the city. All the Souks are quite close to the hotel. Larbi has been an amazing host! If you are confused about what to eat just go and ask him. Trust his suggestions, he will direct you to one of the best eateries and cafes in Tangier. For us he will be one of the major reasons to visit Tangier again. 🙂

We only stayed at Dar Tanger Medina for 2 days, but we were lucky enough to meet Larbi, who helped us to make the most of our experience in Morocco.
He recommended us things to do, and, believe me, if you are curious to explore and learn about the culture, then talk to him as he knows the town insideout. Highlight of the trip: he managed to arrange for us the entrance to a truly local Hammam bath at the very last minute!!
Incredible experience!
If you are looking for a place to stay to get the local vibes, this is the one!

When we arrived we were given a different room than booked and were told that the airconditioning had broken down three days earlier. There was no indication in the room that there had ever been any though. We were given an Electric fan as a replacement.
Unfortunately we did pay for the bigger room we had originally booked and were offered no discount or anything else to make up for the situation.
Also the bathroom was in a separate room that could only be accessed through the hallway, which made it more of a hassle to use. While the bathroom looked very nice when quickly viewed we soon discovered that some appliances were broken. It also had not been cleaned properly for a while. In that vein, we also discovered a previous visitor's deodorant on the floor in our room. Combined with the unclean bathroom this gave us some doubts about the state of our own room.
Breakfast was abundant (bread, fruit and yoghurt) although a bit dry and stale.
Unfortunately we had no time to discuss this with the manager, or we would have. The hotel staff was very friendly (aside from the dubious airconditioning situation) and spoke fluent English. They also accepted both euros and dirham which was nice.

Breakfast is simple but good, with local products. But the best is the super kind service offered by the staff. Larbi in particular has been an amazing host, taking care of all my needs, helping me arranging visits, recommending good places to eat and shop at a great price. I traveled alone and appreciated his advice. Only con is the noise but it's part of the experience of staying in the medina. I'd definitely come back! Highly recommend

Off the bat, your expectations should be in line with the price. If you need to have a beautiful bathroom with a great shower and a bedroom with a comfortable bed and reliable internet, this is not the place.
For me, this was the perfect stay. The location is perfect and the rooftop view is like no other. The breakfast, which they serve in a tented area just below the rooftop, is traditional Moroccan, as good as any that you would find in Tangier.
This is where I would stay every time I am in Tangier. It is like a home, with staff that genuinely wants to get to know you and make your time special. On the last night, for example, the manager invited me to have dinner with him, which he made himself and was better than most I had in Tangier. I am a solo traveler and like to have my space, but this was memorable.
The water pressure in the bathroom was weak and I had to go to one of the shared spaces to get a strong internet signal, but these ended up being very minor issues. I fully recommend this stay.
The Playa de la Barrosa is a 6km long beach that was the site of the Battle of Barrosa. It offers activities such as swimming and surfing. The beach has a gentle slope, making it great for children, but can be quite windy with lots of waves. Beautiful sunsets can be seen from here, and in October, the sea is warm and the beach relatively empty. Free parking is available along with small play areas scattered throughout.
This is a fantastic beach! From the north end (just south of Costa Sancti Petri) to the south end (at Novo Sancti Petri), it's about 6 kilometers long. The beach is wide and clean, and most of the sand is soft. The waves are usually fairly gentle making wading and swimming easy. There's a consistent breeze that keeps the beach cool. There are plenty of restaurants within a block of the beach; while on the beach, you're never more than a few hundred meters from one. Near Novo Sancti Petri, people on the beach are mostly foreign tourists or expats (I walked the whole beach on a weekday in October. Almost everyone I passed at the south end was speaking German). There seem to be more Spanish tourists and locals at the north end.
Trash is almost non-existent on this beach.

The Catedral de Cádiz is a grand cathedral with ornate baroque architecture and neoclassical elements, including a yellow dome, towers, and main facade. Commissioned in 1716 by architect Vicente Acero, the project took over a century to complete with the addition of neoclassical features. Notable highlights inside include an intricate wood-carved choir and the tomb of renowned gaditano composer Manuel de Falla in the crypt below.
Impressive historic cathedral in Cadiz.
Thanks to a reasonable entry fee it was not crowded at all, so we could enjoy it in peace and quiet.
The crypt is great too with an echoing vault chamber that you should not miss out on.
Also great is the bell tower that you can walk 40m upwards with no stairs but a circular ramp.
I would recommend it this to all who visit Cadiz.

So, not a great deal to say about this, its a cathedral! But they have an audio guide which you can access on your phone which is good, a crypt and a tower you can climb. The tower gives great views over the city and the climb up was surprisingly easy because its mostly a slopping floor rather than steps. Although still not an easy climb in the heat and would avoid if you have any mobility issues. Reasonable price of entry too, worth a visit if you are in the area

You must also make time to visit the cript and take the ramp up the tower for the best views over Cadiz.
Only €7 entrance fee, which is very reasonable indeed.

This architectural era was all about the money, but I don’t know how this was financed. How everything was made to fit and not a lot of mistakes were on display...
it is indeed the typical cathedral built 100 years ago. I must say the bathroom was my favourite part.

Cadiz Cathedral is definitely a place to visit. A rather controversial architectural amalgam (find out the details during the visit), it is nevertheless an interesting edifice. The church tower is a panoramic spot over the city very good for photos.

It’s seven euros to get in. I think it’s a little steep, but it includes going to the bell tower as well. The cathedral itself is gorgeous make sure to go down to the crypt. There is a memorial for the famous composer Manuel de falla. My favorite part is, of course, going up to the bell tower. There are no steps but a gradual incline to go up. The view from the top is gorgeous. You can see the beach and much of the city. Beware that when the bell rings, it is loud. Overall it is a beautiful experience.

Best panoramic wiev of the citY!!! The Long narrow climb up the Levante Tower, will be worth it in the end. After the visit sit acroos the entranceand enjoy live music street performers and Best icecream ever. 7 EUR entrance Is for the tower, the church and the crypt in which are buried the composer Manuel de Falla and the poet and playwright José María Pemán, both born in Cádiz. Translation of the name Is :The Cathedral of the Holy Cross over the Waters

If you haven’t seen many cathedrals than you may like this one. It wasn’t that beautiful to me. You have a free audio guide through QR code on your phone. But the guide was mostly about the painting and the sculptures and to detailed. It took too long. You can also visit the tower with the same entrance ticket. From the tower you will have a view over Cadiz.

Awe inspiring architecture inside and lots of information stands giving the historical context for each specific area of the cathedral. Really cheap entry as well.

Obviously the outside is amazing. But it’s not possible to enter without paying. A lot of famous churches do this but make an exception for religious services etc. Here you always pay. Really bizarre for a church.

It is a beautiful and peaceful place to wander around and take a break. I definitely recommend a visit. When in the crypt, if you stand in the centre of the dome and make the slightest noise, it will be echoed around for several seconds. Amazing accoustics.

Main cathedral of cadiz €7 entry gets you up the Tower inside the cathedral and a museum in a separate building, well worth the price. Its a ramp to the top of the tower with a few stairs at the top, the bells are active and ring every 15 miunites so be aware it's loud. Great 360 views from the top.

A wonderful and magnificent Cathedral of Cadiz. A huge building and contains much of marble works. It has many small altars dedicated to saints. It has a wonderful altar and a crypt beneath the altar containing many things including the incorruptible body of St Victoria brought here.from Rome in the 1800s. The marble works are amazing.

Great cathedral had beautiful architecture but I think because we had visited el puerto Santa Maria and visited iglesia mayor prioral in the morning (for free) and had such a wonderful experience the cathedral paled by comparison
Plus you pay 7 euros to go in
It however lacked for me

Really nice cathedral. The ticket includes the access to the tower. There is a ramp, which makes it easier to reach the top and the view is amazing. The bells are also there and well working. So, mind the clock because the noise from the bells is quite loud 😆

Lovely cathedral with catacombs and a tower to go up. No steps to the tower to be climbed, its a slope all the way to the top. With beautiful views over this lovely city. All included in the entrance price, reduction on entry for seniors.

Beautiful cathedral inside and out but no headsets available when we visited.
The view from the tower was lovely.
Beautiful all blue in blue town with a lot of talking cats. Maybe the most adorable city in all of Morocco. Also people are very friendly, many offering you hashish or beer at each corner. Try to avoid weekends cause it can be really crowded in the central alleys and tourists are blocking the blue corners to celebrate their vanity with selfies.

Chefchaouen: known as the "Blue Pearl" of Morocco, because of its fantastic blue houses and streets. Jewish immigrants painted the houses blue, and people have been guessing for years as to why. It is this mystery that gives the city its charm and makes it a long-standing popular tourist destination. Spend a day or two enjoying all the best things to do in Chefchaouen, and two days, or more, if you want to enjoy the stunning nature of the surrounding Riff Mountains:
✅Wander the Blue Streets
✅Watch the Sunrise or Sunset
✅Visit the Spanish Mosque
✅Visit the Kasbah Museum

Chefchaouen, also known as the "Blue Pearl" or "Blue City," is a picturesque town located in the Rif Mountains of northwest Morocco. Here's some instructive information about Chefchaouen:
History: Chefchaouen was founded in 1471 as a small fortress to fight against the Portuguese invasions of northern Morocco. It was later established as a sanctuary for Jews and Muslims fleeing the Spanish Inquisition in the 15th century.
Architecture: The town is famous for its distinctive blue-washed buildings, a tradition that is said to have been introduced by Jewish refugees. The blue and white hues create a stunning contrast against the backdrop of the rugged mountains.
Culture: Chefchaouen has a rich cultural heritage influenced by its diverse history. Visitors can explore the historic medina, which is a maze of narrow streets lined with shops selling local crafts, such as woven blankets, pottery, and leather goods.
Natural Beauty: Beyond its charming streets, Chefchaouen is surrounded by breathtaking natural scenery. The Rif Mountains offer opportunities for hiking, trekking, and exploring the nearby Akchour Waterfalls and Talassemtane National Park.
Cuisine: Food lovers will delight in the local cuisine, which features a mix of Moroccan and Andalusian flavors. Traditional dishes include tagines, couscous, and freshly caught seafood. Visitors can also sample mint tea and indulge in pastries like sfenj (Moroccan donuts).
Shopping: Chefchaouen is known for its vibrant markets where visitors can haggle for a variety of goods, including spices, textiles, and handicrafts. The town's souks are a treasure trove of unique finds and souvenirs to take home.
Photography: The photogenic streets of Chefchaouen attract photographers from around the world. The blue-washed buildings, colorful doorways, and intricate details make for stunning compositions, especially during the soft light of dawn and dusk.
Overall, Chefchaouen offers a magical blend of history, culture, and natural beauty, making it a must-visit destination for travelers seeking an authentic Moroccan experience.

Right inside the entrance gate to the beautiful blue Pearl you’ll find their Medina with handicrafts. I enjoy this Medina because of the walking up and down the hilly streets while looking at the beautiful blue shades of the walls and decorations on them. I really enjoyed the vibe in this city overall and the people were very nice.
At dinner, we met a man walking by the table who struck a conversation with us and later recognized us in the Medina. He wound up following us for a long time in the shopping area, making tried light conversation with us in the beginning but quickly turned that into getting us to make a purchase, following us at each place we went. I know he wanted to make a commission from the local shopkeepers if we bought something. Although he was funny and light and making jokes at first we felt very pressured and wound up walking away without making a purchase.
However, we did have a group of younger boys lead us to a restaurant we struggled to find, in which I offered to pay them a little something and they refused. Not everyone is out to swindle the tourists in Morocco though it is good to be aware.

Chefchaouen is such a photogenic town!!! Loved the colors- there’s no way to take a wrong photo. Be careful of the people selling! They’ll come to you and give you advise and once they get your attention they’ll ask for you to come in and see their or their wife’s work. After the 3rd guy we were just like yeah we’ve seen it! So if you’re not interested in buying just kindly decline any advise- it’s all online anyway.
There was one guy that kept following us around but he was harmless- I think just wanted to guilt us in giving him a tip. You have to be strong and politely decline, I will say they are less pushy then in fes.

Bolonia, found in the municipality of Tarifa in southern Spain, is a beautiful coastal village with a stunning beach. It sits on the Atlantic coast and can be reached by road from Tarifa which is 22.9 kilometers away. However, it's much closer along the coastline.
Tio Pepe is a bodega located in Jerez, Andalusia, Spain. Founded in 1835 by local entrepreneur Manual Gonzalez Angel, the winery produces dry white sherry known for its intense flavor. The winery offers guided tours and tastings that are highly informative and enjoyable.
Reserved the tour online, the 12.30 slot. The guide was lovely, good English. Tour was interesting and a mini tasting to end it. The bodega itself is quite photogenic. Would recommend it!

I would not even give this place 1 star, it’s not an option.
We planned a day for the sherry triangle (or part of it)
tasting, experience , knowledge,…. Excited for what we would learn .
However, we started with Gonzalez Byass aka Teo Pepe
We signed up for the English tour with the best sherry & tapa option
There were a lot of folks for the tour so they spit it , the 1st guide seemed really pushy so we waited for the second
They announced: ” we are waiting for a few to arrive that have reserved and then we will start.”
I thought , why would you tell us that ?!!! Instead of “ we will began shortly”
This should have been a red flag for what would be…
I just don’t even know how to express enough that our tour guide should “never” be a tour guide!!!
Or , even have a job where she deals with the public… ever!!!!
We had the second English tour on 03 January 2024
I am pretty sure she was able to be assertively negative to each and everyone of us.
I truly believe she hated us.
Which made me hate this brand!!!!
We finally get to the tasting and tapas
I am excited because I had studied and learned how well sherry paired with food
Not so
It was so bad
So disappointed
We had set out for our day…
…. our vacation, our time, our money, …
To have an amazing experience
and instead
We were beat up
We never went to another sherry bodega either
We were done
Chalk it up for the worst day of our vacation!!!!
I highly recommend , if you are still interested in visiting a sherry bodega after reading this Do Not Visit González Byass / Teo Pepe!!!!
No one should spend their vacation, their time, their money to be treated like we were treated
( on vacations we visit distilleries, wineries, breweries & other production tours known for the area. This Is by far the worst tour !)

Fun tour of the Tio Pepe sherry producing facilities in Jerez, followed by tasting 4 different sherrys. We also elected to have the food platter to accompany the sherry which was good. Plenty of sherry provided. A good afternoon and very informative, worth the cost.

For €18 pp I would expect a bit more than just a commercial tour and two drips of Sherry, sorry I should say 'Jerez'. No 'refills'?
Spanish guide in English with heavy Spanish accent making understanding sometimes hard to follow.
It's a oncebin ablifetome, so we leave it

We had a tour & VOSP tasting tickets. The tour was good, even though the train broke. The guide was very knowledgeable and. provided a lot of coverage.
But the tasting was plain awful. Most of the tasting was arranged by the guide and 1 waiter and for the group of ~15 tables it took very long. To make things worse the more expensive VOSP ticket holders were served last. We where wondering why did we pay extra just to wait 15 more minutes looking at other people at nearby tables already half way through the tasting.
Also we received only cheese snacks while other tables (including one other VOSP table) received Cheese and Jamon for snacks to accompany the tasting. It just looked like total chaos.
And, BTW, the VOSP Jeres wines very pretty plain. You expect some kind of rich nuanced taste from the old wine, but this ones did not look like the wines you want to age. They already lost nice strong taste of the young wine, but did not show this soft deep taste of the old one. This is subjective, but I would not recommend old wines from Tio Pepe.

The tour was a little slow, but the tasting itself was quite good. They give large pours for a tasting and the sherries were good (I had the VORS tasting).

Toured the bodega on 7th November 2022 with a group. Entry fee is about 18 euro but worth it if you are interested in learning more about sherry. We had a tour of the facilities with a good English speaking guide and finished off with a short tasting of a few of their sherries. Of the four offered for tasting there was only one (the extra dry) that didn't appeal to me. Several others thought the same. Quite an extensive set-up that handles weddings, receptions, etc. There is a gift shop and a hotel on site.

Rather pricey for what you get. A tour lasting about one hour where you get to see parts of the property (beautiful) and some info about the winery.
They show a ten minute video which is basically just a commercial. Definitely adapted to mass tourism. The tapas at the end was a big disappointment, not worth the money unfortunately.
All in all OK if you fancy sherry.
Johannes L — Google review
This was a disappointing visit. We were a group of 4 on the tour + 4 wine tasting with tapas visit in English. We could barely hear the guide. The had a small headset that barely amplified her voice and we lost at least half of the information. They took us to watch a video that we also couldn't hear well and there were no subtitles to make up for the echo in the room. Then she quickly described the wines while we waited outside of the tasting room. Once we were in the tasting room, there was nobody available to answer questions or further explain the wines and tapas.
The Sandeman bodega has a much better sherry visit + tour. If you like reds and whites, Luiz Perez also has a great visit and tasting as long as you take a taxi or have a DD to drive since it's just outside the city.

We really enjoyed this tour. We’ve been in on lots of bodega tours and this is one of the best. It helps that it’s a really beautiful place. Tio Pepe have made their bodega a really special place. The tour guide ‘Agatha’ was exceptionally good. The shop as you would expect is very good. Overall I would really recommend this tour
Patrick Bastow — Google review
The "tour" is a joke. Half of it on a "train", when one gets to see nothing but some walls. The other half is about moving from one cellar to another looking at barrels. No valuable information about the process, nothing worth hearing or seeing. Then, a short "movie" done, most likely, by some 12 year old for a school project.
The tasting was good, because it is sherry. But, €25 for 4 half glasses of sherry is a bit expensive. I do not recommend it. At all. A huge tourist trap.
soleDrummer music — Google review
A bit disappointing. This was likely because when we arrived to purchase same day tickets for the English tour, they said there was no English tour that day even though on their website it said they did. Multiple others ran into the same problem as us. We all just ended up buying tickets for the Spanish tour. They take you in a small red trolley-like bus through the yard then you get off at the entrance again and go on a walking tour of the indoor facilities. The tour guide during the trolley part was extremely hard to hear because the sound system in the carts are really faint. The walking bit is more interesting. We got the most expensive 4 sherries + tapas tasting ticket and I would recommend not getting the tapas unless you didn’t eat anything in the morning (because the sherries are kind of strong) as the tapas are just little croutons, cheese cubes, and a couple salami cubes. I don’t know why but for some reason I thought these tapas would be like restaurant tapas; they’re not. I didn’t like the sweet sherries (2 of the 4). Regardless of which tasting you pick, you will try at least one dry and one sweet sherry. I honestly think that’s about enough though, don’t think you need all four and most people just take two sips then discard the rest. The grounds are probably much prettier in the spring or summer but quite barren in the winter.

St. Michael's Cave in Gibraltar is a remarkable geological attraction composed of intricate limestone formations. The cave features a series of chambers and tunnels, with drops up to 148ft and depths reaching up to 200ft. It was formerly used for defensive purposes by the Moors and Spaniards, as well as prepared for use as a hospital during World War II. Today, it serves as an occasional concert venue where its stunning beauty is showcased through colorful lights.
Astounding caves located an easy enough walk from the cable car station.
Remarkable to find and known about since the roman times.
Impressive drops and lightshows.

The cave was impressive and the light and sound effects really cool. It's wet inside, so we really needed to watch our step on different stairs but I liked the experience a lot. Since in our case it was part of a one day trip (and the 1,5 hrs mini bus tour up the mountain), we didn't have enough time to enjoy the stay to the fullest unfortunately.

This really is an incredibly beautiful cave.
The stalagmites and stalactites are epic in size!
The only distractions are the green and purple lighting and continuous light show which are tacky and distract from the natural beauty of the cave.
Luckily, there are reprieves between these shows when white lights illuminate the walls, providing an opportunity to take great photos.

I visited St. Michael’s Cave on March 2024 and it was an experience I won’t soon forget. The natural formations of stalactites and the carefully orchestrated light show created an ambiance akin to a natural cathedral. The cave’s acoustics enhanced the experience, especially during the live concert event. While the beauty of the cave is undeniable, I found the signage leading to different sections could be improved for better navigation. Overall, St. Michael’s Cave is a must-visit attraction in Gibraltar, offering a mesmerizing blend of nature’s artistry and human creativity.

Very nice, interesting new experience. We, on Slovakia, can say nothing with our caves against this one. Beautiful structures, very fancy lights, which gave the right atmosphere. I did not actually go to visit the caves but went there to see John Bishop live, he was very good and funny, the caves as a venue is great, only thing some areas were wet due to water scraping in and getting out as we were in front row took ages as there is only one entrance and exit, but what I saw of the caves looked good and may go and visit it again normally. The event was well organised with shuttle buses leaving the midtown car park taking you to the caves and bringing you back when the event had finished.

A shift from the sweeping vista of the Pillars of Hercules, this cave offers a cool break from the higher temps outside. A well developed cave, with plenty of space (it's a local musical venue). People with disabilities or trouble walking may have difficulty with the stairs. A common hang out for the famous Barbary macaques, awaits you at the gift shop exit (be careful, seemingly tame, these are wild creatures). Also, a common tourist destination, so try to time your visit at off peak hours to enjoy the music and light display.

Very simple but super cool. And a great place to see monkeys! The cave itself is pretty awesome. The angel in the cave doesn’t require an exaggerated imagination - it really does look like an angel. The cave itself is beautiful and they’ve done a great job using lights to accentuate the beauty. I recently had the opportunity to explore St. Michael’s Cave, and it was nothing short of awe-inspiring. Nestled within the Upper Rock Nature Reserve in Gibraltar, this network of limestone caves stands at an impressive height of over 300 meters above sea level1. Here’s why I believe it’s a must-visit:
Natural Beauty: As I stepped into the cave, I was greeted by a breathtaking sight. The stalactites hanging from the ceiling and the stalagmites rising from the ground created a surreal landscape. It felt like being in a natural cathedral, with each formation telling a story of thousands of years of geological history.
Light Show: The cave features an enchanting light show that accentuates its grandeur. The play of colors against the limestone formations adds an otherworldly touch. It’s no wonder that St. Michael’s Cave has become a popular venue for concerts, plays, and even fashion shows2.
Historical Significance: St. Michael’s Cave has a rich history. Neolithic artifacts, including a bowl, were discovered here, indicating that prehistoric humans were aware of its existence. Additionally, cave art depicting an ibex was found on one of the walls, dating back thousands of years3.
Legend and Lore: The name “St. Michael’s Cave” is derived from a similar grotto in Monte Gargano, Italy, where the archangel Michael is said to have appeared. Whether you’re a believer or not, standing in this ancient cavern evokes a sense of wonder and reverence.
In summary, my visit to St. Michael’s Cave was a truly wonderful experience. If you find yourself in Gibraltar, make sure to explore this natural wonder. It’s a testament to the Earth’s beauty and the mysteries that lie beneath our feet.

Very likely the best cave exhibition I ever saw. Not the largest but an amazing overall experience of light & sound show coupled with amazing stalactites & stalagmites. A must see when in Gibraltar!
Tips:
-wait for the white light before taking your photos. It comes for around a minute every 7 minutes. It's worth it!
-when you get to the auditorium, find a seat (plenty available) and wait for the show! Don't miss it! It's not the usual lights and relaxing sound, it's a light show and dramatic music combination. It happens every 7 minutes (followed by the white light which you should be using to take photos inside the cave ;) )
Hope this helps and enjoy!

A must visit for any visitor to Gibraltar. Saint Michael's Caves form part of a tour up the Rock where you can take in The Pillars of Hercules, the caves, the Sky Walk, the tunnels, see the monkeys and more and you get to experience the amazing views on a clear day. I would recommend you take a tour with one on the taxis who you will find either in Casemates Square or up the high street or if you are feeling very fit and adventurous then you can take the cable car to the top and walk but it's not for anyone who isn't used to alot of walking and who can walk up steep inclines. The light show in the caves is fabulous to see and really helps bring the caves to life. It takes approximately 8 minutes to watch and there is seating within the caves to watch it. There's a shop and a cafe/restaurant at the caves, where you can get refreshments during your tour and the caves provide a great stop off point on your trip up the Rock. There are also many other things to see on your tour, so please leave a good couple of hours or more to complete your tour if going in a taxi and a whole day if you plan to walk.

Very beautiful 😍!
Sadly enough we had only 20 minutes to be there because of the tour we had. And it's not enough in my opinion! The music with the show at the end is so beautiful with the combination of lights, it's magical! They really did a great job on the light work 👏 😍 and at the end of the cave there was a monkey sitting at the exit! Very nice surprise 😍
The Rock of Gibraltar is a well-known limestone promontory that boasts a nature reserve, an intricate system of tunnels, and stunning sea vistas. It is among the most popular tourist destinations in Gibraltar, and can be reached by car, taxi or cable car. Visitors can bask in the breathtaking views from the top of this towering rock structure that overlooks miles of scenery.
Visited this place in March 2019, we stayed for 4 nights.
Rock Of Gibraltar if full of history.
It's definitely worth visiting Gibraltar 👍
To get ti the Rick of Gibraltar.
At the ticket of office you can purchase a ticket for the cable cars.
Or next to it you have people with tours by car.
We took the tour by car, which I would highly recommend.
Our driver Stefano was awesome 🙌💯
He was cool, had a lot of knowledge.
We managed to see all the main attractions up there.
By foot, it is alot to walk inbetween each attraction, so you might not see all of it. So bear that in mind.
All the main attractions are amazing.
And the views are just some else when you see it for yourself.
Be careful of what you wear around the macaque monkeys.
As we were entering back in the car, my wife had a fur coat on and one if the monkeys started grabbing it 🤦♂️😂😂
Make Gibraltar a place to visit on your list 🙌💯

Worst tourist map and sign/labeling I have ever seen. The view from the top of the Rock of Gibraltar is amazing. Rest of it don't worth the afford. They give you a tourist map at the entrance of the cable car. That map totally useless. You take the cable car to the top of the rock then you start walking around the natural reserve. There is no label or sign shows you where you are. If you find a place with a name on it you feel you’re lucky but not really because that place doesn’t show on the map. I recommend, after walking around a little bit take the cable car back from the mid station. If you choose to walk all the way down, I recommend don’t do it. Because roads and steps are too steep. Your map won’t help you to find your way. If you’re late after 6 pm, local teens are drinking and partying on the way around the historical places. It might be disturbing.

First of all, if you are going to explore any of the rock, you need to be reasonably fit. It's all steep steps, long slow climbing hills and you still need to get back down at the end of the day.
The views are amazing, the Nature Reserve full of ruins and caves, and on the other side, other things to do aplenty.
Take enough food and water for the day as there are fee places to buy and they are crazy prices. £2 for a can of coke!
It can be cold and windy so dress accordingly. And wear good shoes. The paths can be sharp stone. Flip flops or heels could cause real issues.
To come to Gibraltar and not visit the rock is like going to a restaurant and not eating. Just be careful and plan ahead.
Paul Swarbrick — Google review
ATTENTION: All routes up are on a ticket based entry. Which are around 20 euros.
Knowing this it is well worth going up the rock.
If you up for it take te Mediterranean steps either up or down. Or the cable car for the relaxed adventures.
Milan Sodeike — Google review
Was a great day. Didn't see all but enjoyed what we saw. Can't do it all in one day unless a guided tour. Restaurant is garbage. Too expensive and irritable staff
David Phipps — Google review
The tour around the rock is not for the faint-hearted. It is very physical and energetic and this comes from 2 people aged late 40s with average fitness. Some of the paths and steps are very overgrown and uneven, so you have to be very careful where you walk. This said the views are fantastic and watching the monkey's is very funny.
Jane Housley — Google review
Me and my family went there with an amazing guide from Morocco. Was worth it and we went there on New Year’s day and it cost to go there 25€ per person and I would definitely say it was nice. I loved the monkeys and you can get amazing photos with them when they jump on your back! Not a common experience would definitely recommend. But I definitely don’t recommend going up there by foot its too tiring plus the monkeys can steal something from you while walking there so if you decide walking be careful.
Augustė Kubiliūtė — Google review
We hiked up and down the rock, £19 for admission to all the exhibits felt fair…. Cafe at the caves is a bit of a rip off though. Definitely would recommend descending the Mediterranean Steps - but only with decent fitness, appropriate footwear and a head for heights.

Did a full day on the Rock on foot. So, in order:
Got no2 bus to Garrison Gym, walked up Windmill Hill Road to Jew’s Gate, then walked up the Med Steps. Then on to O’Hara’s Battery. Took the Douglas Path to the Skywalk, then carrying on to the Ape feeding station. Back down to St. Michael’s Cave. Then the Queen’s Balcony, taking shortcut path down from here on to the Royal Anglican Way. Windsor Suspension Bridge. Joined Old Queen’s Road to the Ape’s Den. Up the first section of the Charles V wall to join the Inglis Way carrying on until its end at Bruce’s Farm. Then joined Queen’s Road all the way to the Military Heritage Centre (currently closed). Walked up to the Great Siege Tunnels. Back down to City Under Siege exhibition. WW2 Tunnels. Moorish Castle to finish. Bus no 1 from the Tank Ramp stop & back into town.
I got off bus 2 around 9.45am & was walking down the steps of the Moorish castle around 5.15pm.
A full on day & you need to be at least reasonably fit, I’m 50+ and managed it ok.
I think I got my £16 worth!

The view is incredible! You can visit taking the cable (and pick the package you want) or a few tour options you will find before you climb the rock. A lot of walking will be involved but super worth it. The views from all the sides and levels are amazing. Many natural stops that you can purchase to visit, such as: caves, tunnels, bridges and castle.
Cecilia Gillhouse — Google review
I have wanted to climb the rock of Gibraltar ever since I first heard about it years ago. So for me, my visit was highly anticipated. The Rock did not disappoint! There is a term called a “numinous experience” which describes the psychological phenomenon of feeling connected to and influenced by a higher power (think looking up at the night sky or gazing over a giant canyon). Now I’m not a religious person by any means, but I had multiple of these today.
The vistas were immaculate, and the sheer epic scale of the Rock—its caverns, its cliffs—truly stunned.
£18 gets you total access to the nature preserve, the caverns, war tunnels, and all the stairs you could ever want. Definitely worth it.
Mind the monkeys! They can get handsy if they see an abandoned bag or open food.
IMPORTANT: I hiked from sea to peak and it is not for the faint of heart. I’m 26 and in good shape. I had to push myself. It is steep and it is persistent. There’s more than one way up (and down), however. If you’re less inclined to hoof it, there are plenty of taxis, buses, and even a gondola that will take you into the nature preserve.

Very historic place, a lot of battles had place here.Great view give you amazing opportunity to see another continent! And sure, those wonderful monkeys, will never fail to make you smile!

Took a Taxi tour in a 8 passenger van up to the top. The driver was great. He narrated all the important parts and answered questions in 4 languages. He stopped several times allowing us to get out and take pictures, stretch, walk around. Each stop was for 15-20 minutes.
The total cost of the 2+hour trip up and down the rock was 25 euros per person. The day my daughter and I took the tour the weather was unbelievably great. 10 out of 10.
Easily could see Tangier & beyond.
The next day we took the ferry over to Morocco and spent half day walking around Tangier, Beautifu
city with its white plaster home & building architecture and the unique blue waters of the Mediterranean as a backdrop. And every one so friendly & gracious, too. Highly recommend visiting, even for half a day-Well worth the time & money. Auto-ferry was under 40 euros round trip, per person, and took about 45 minutes each way crossing the strait. Last ferry returns for Gibraltar at 9pm.

For me personally, visiting & getting to the top of Gibraltar was a life long dream, on par with my climb up to the summit of Uluwu (ayers rock) in central Australia. And trekking the full length along the edge of the Cliffs of Maher in Ireland.
The Rock of Gibraltar stands as a sentinel at the gateway between the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea. This iconic limestone monolith, soaring to 426 meters, is steeped in history and natural beauty, offering visitors an unparalleled experience.
A journey to the Rock is a journey through time, from the ancient Phoenicians and Romans to the strategic military role it played for the British during wartime. The network of tunnels carved within it tells the story of resilience and ingenuity. The Upper Rock Nature Reserve is a haven for wildlife enthusiasts, where the famous Barbary macaques—the only wild monkeys in Europe—roam freely, adding a unique touch to the visit.
The summit provides breathtaking panoramic views that stretch across to Africa on a clear day. St. Michael’s Cave, a natural grotto turned into an auditorium, is a geological wonder with its stunning stalactites and stalagmites. The Moorish Castle and the Great Siege Tunnels are testament to Gibraltar’s turbulent past, while the flora and fauna showcase its softer side.
Visitors can ascend the Rock via cable car, offering an aerial view of the city below, or for the more adventurous, the Mediterranean Steps offer a challenging but rewarding hike. The Rock of Gibraltar is not just a tourist attraction; it’s a symbol of endurance and a crossroads of cultures, making it a must-see destination for anyone visiting the region.
In essence, the Rock of Gibraltar is a microcosm of natural splendor and historical saga, offering an experience that is both educational and awe-inspiring.

Very nice view spot if you can do hiking, cause there are lots of stairs & trails if you want to see main attractions on the Rock of Gibraltar.
There is an option to get here by cable car (19 pounds one way and 36 both ways per person).
If you decide to hike, there are entrances to the Gibraltar National Park (18 pounds per person, includes all the attractions on the Rock of Gibraltar: suspended bridge, tunnels, sky walk above the cliff, ex. batteries).
The wheelchair accessibility is possible only by cable car, and still you will not be able to see much, cause all the attractions are far away from each other, spread all over the cliff.
There is an option to come here by car too. Your own or organized by the service instead of cable car (25 euro both ways per person).
Besides the prices, the view over the city & Atlantic Ocean is not too picturesque cause there are only multi stored buildings, the view over the Mediterranean sea is very beautiful with high cliffs, but you need to hike to see it, no wheelchair accessibility.

I drove into the island, passing border control. Finding parking was hectic also pricey. At one point, I found a parking lot on a hill near a packed restaurant. Then I walked to a shuttle stop. It would help if you took their tour bus to get to the rock. Otherwise it was a long steep walk. It was a beautiful experience. There were lots of monkeys doing their thing on the top of the rock. The view was spectacular. It was a little chilly up there. It was a Sunday; everything else was closed except the rock. At the bottom, the island was filled with restaurants, shopping centers, and souvenir shops. They use British currency.

(Translated by Google) Wow, the Nerja cave beats it by far, very lovingly and cleverly illuminated. Comments like: you can't take photos, touch anything, take nothing with you, it happens much too quickly, what nonsense, it is explained in the simplest terms why this is so and is understandable for every clear-thinking person. The negative comments can only have come from egomaniacal minds!!
And it's worth visiting the grotto more often - we always discover something new and inspiring, be it simply the climate.
We are very grateful to be able to visit this extraordinary place, because one thing is clear: the entrance fees hardly cover the entertainment.

The Plaza de España is one of the most iconic and historic squares in Seville, Spain. It features a large water feature, brightly coloured ceramic tiles on the seats, and an ornate pavilion. The plaza was built in 1928 to host the Ibero-American Exposition, and it features a beautiful mix of Mudejar and Renaissance styles with hints of Art Deco.
This is a fantastic place. If the sun is shining and you have the time you certainly want to spend some time here and even come back a few times to relax and enjoy. Singles, couples, school kids, musicians, tourists, everybody loves this place, and it is for free.
In the morning it is quiet, late afternoon the sun gives it beautiful colors, in the evening with the lights it must also be nice. And the acoustic is great, so the musicians and dancers make it a lovely place.

This is the prettiest plaza I've ever visited. It's a perfect place to people watch, enjoy street shows, or marvel at the architectural beauty. They even filmed part of Star Wars here because of its unique beauty. Aim to get to the second floor of the plaza to enjoy the sunset and overview of the plaza. Skip the boat rides, they're kit worth the wait.

Beautiful place!
You can go to the second floor that overlooks the plaza, which has a great view.
Also, I recommend coming here after a quick stop at a nearby supermarket, in which you can buy some supplies for a picnic. It's a great way to see and enjoy this park!

This is one of my favorite places in Seville. It is a must visit while you are in the city. You can visit it for free and every corner of the plaza gives you amazing angles for photos. What I liked the most was the flamenco show here. The people dancing are very dedicated and they make you feel the real flamenco emotion. Totally recommend it.

Beautiful Plaza and park that is stunningly picturesque. You could spend a few hours walking around taking pictures, relaxing or people watching. Made its game from Star Wars and the best part is that it’s free! Highly recommend as a must see in Seville. It will not disappoint

A must-see if you are in Sevilla! The plaza itself is huge and airy and the giant curved building that surrounds it is stunning. The light at all times of day is quite a sight to see, and the intricate details within the architecture are nice. Sitting by the fountain on a hot evening is a wonderful way to cool off a bit. Highly recommended!

Stunning park about 10 minutes taxi ride from the centre of town. The architecture of the semi-circle plaza is grand and picture-worthy from every angle. Given the time of day we visited (2:30pm), the place was pretty empty because of the heat, but the sunny conditions made for great picture taking. I would say that you need no more than 30 minutes here, but of course if you want to enjoy the nearby park then your stay could be longer. Definitely worth the trip, absolutely beautiful place!

One of the most impressive places in Spain. An incredibly beautiful and colorful place, showing the whole palette of Spanish cities and regions. Take at least half a day to explore it. Visit it on a sunny day to take beautiful pictures. The complex is lit up in the evening, so you must visit it in the evening. Then there are flamenco dancers and musicians who will make your visit unforgettable. Входът е безплатен.

Highly recommend coming here early in the morning when the weather is beautiful, the sun isn't too hot and there's perfect lighting to get the most out of it.
Once done from the Plaza, i would also recommend strolling through the park and heading out around. Perfect place, perfect view and unbelievably breath-taking.

My first resort visiting in Seville. One of the best plaza I have ever been. Lots of people gathering around, you can find small booths where you can buy local souvenirs and dancers who performs traditional flamingo.
I was here on Sunday when all public toilets are also closed. Prepare yourself for this urgent situation and you can enjoy yourself all morning or afternoon here.

Probably the best Plaza de España of Spain. It has ceramics artwork featuring each one of the 50 provinces of Spain, and it's especially beautiful at night when there are no huge crowds.
And it's free!
But the canals have been dirtied by people, and our taxes go to this. It should be perfectly clean.

This square is extraordinary. It's by far one of the most beautiful I've ever seen in my life. We were also lucky to have such an awesome sunny day, which enabled us to take these photos. It's mandatory to go there if you visit Seville.

This is an absolute must when in Seville. It is currently free to visit and totally unimpeded. It won't be like this for long as the city is looking to close it off and star charging for entry due to the large number of tourists that visit it. Nonetheless, go and see it for yourself, you won't regret it. But don't bother with the boats, as the majority of people on them don't have a clue of how to row. Nonetheless, its great comedy watching them fail and go around in circles.

Magnificent square with tiled alcoves representing each communidad of Spain, with a large central patio with fountain. The boating lake within the Plaza is very picturesque, with the four ceramic covered bridges. A lovely walk to combine with visiting the university nearby and the gardens. The Plaza de España in Seville is a breathtaking testament to Spanish culture and architecture. Its Renaissance Revival style, blended with Moorish influences, creates a stunning visual spectacle, highlighted by the complex tile work representing Spain's provinces.
The plaza gives a perfect vibe, a harmonious blend of tranquility and vibrancy, inviting you to soak in its beauty.
Flamenco dancers add a dynamic layer to the experience, their passionate performances embodying the soul of Seville.
In essence, the Plaza de España is not just a sight to behold but an unforgettable experience, rich in culture and beauty.
The Cathedral of Seville is located in the old part of town, and features a Moorish bell tower with city views. It is one of the largest Gothic cathedrals in the world and was granted World Heritage status by UNESCO in 1987.
Absolutely stunning. A must do when in Seville. Every corner reveals another amazing beautiful area. Gothic designs and lavish black and gold intricate carvings.
Christopher Columbus's tomb stands in prime position within a spectacular structure. Bell Tower is worth visiting for views.

Many side doors leading to different rooms which can be easily missed.

1* for the official guided tour of the roofs in English (the Cathedral itself is extraordinary and interesting and definitely worth a visit!!). The views were spectacular and it’s interesting to learn about the architecture and history of the Cathedral (and the ‘mushrooms’) but I echo others’ reviews that the guide wasn’t exactly easy to understand and most of time the group were half guessing what the guide was trying to say. The headphones’ bad audio quality (one time use) made it even harder. I also felt like the roofs weren’t more interesting than the interior/exterior that could be viewed otherwise with the general ticket. Note that the guided tour is just for the roofs (no re-entry to the Cathedral or the Tower).

Spent a wonderful five nights in Seville in October. Stunning weather 😎 with temperatures hitting 30C. We stayed at the ‘modern’ Hotel Rey Alfonso X within the historic city centre and simply walked every day. Photos simply don’t do the Cathedral justice it is magnificent. NB Ensure you book a ‘jump the queue’ tour to get most from your visit. NB Climb the tower 34 ramps plus 15 steps awesome views.

Breathtakingly beautiful! So much to see, could easily spend 2+ hours inside. Stunning architecture, a lot of interesting art pieces. If you can plan your trip in advance, buy tickets online (a little cheaper - 11euro adult vs 12euro at the door, 6 vs 7 euro for seniors; also can bypass the line). The line from the gate to the ticket booth took about 15 minutes. Admission includes the tower - about 35 flights up, but through a ramp, no stairs, except for the very last flight.

One of the most beautiful cathedrals I have seen from the outside, from every angle. The inside is impressively, cavernously vast as well. The audio guide is a little dull but that may just be me. The orange tree courtyard is nice and there is a tower you can climb for a good view (there are very few steps and mostly just a long winding ramp to the top).

Absolutely loved the Cathedral. I went up to the top of Tower which has amazing views, it's 34 floors high so make sure it is something you can do before you start. The monuments, stain glass windows and the architecture are out of this world. There are plenty of seats for you to sit and take everything in. You don't need to be religious to be taken In by the beauty or any of the interesting history this place holds.

A walk through the Cathedral is an activity that stirs the senses and it's hard to focus on a specific point due to its impressive size and the fact that it's full of glitter and splendour. The temple has a very rich and varied artistic heritage and among its walls you can see some masterpieces from the history of painting.

Such an important historical landmark at the heart of the city. It is a monument not to be missed when in Seville.
The architecture is astounding and full of historical significance
The giralda tower is within the cathedral and has a separate ticket.
The cathedral is really huge. It is a mix of Islamic and Catholic architecture and has many altars, a huge wall with figurines from the Bible and many more holy figurines.
We took a guided tour for 16€ and it was worth it.
The courtyard has blush orange trees laden with oranges.
It has a souvenir shop with nice gifting options
The drinking water is available in the washrooms which are clean.
The entire tour takes around 2 hrs
Do not miss this one for sure!

Sevilla cathedral in Spain is an important monument and a landmark that is a must do. I cannot describe the importance and beauty of this cathedral, it is stunning, breathtaking and a marvel.
The tomb of Columbus is here, and it is a masterpiece in itself. Climbing all the way to the top of the bell tower was a stunning experience with wonderful views at the top.
I would recommend visiting this cathedral with buying advanced tickets, purchasing the audio guide is really helpful and gives you a good insight to the cathedral and its various rooms.

There are often fairly long queues to visit the Cathedral, but it is well worth the wait. There are several guided tours that you can pre-book if you don't want to wait in line. La Giralda is the bell tower of Sevilla Cathedral that incorporates a minaret from the 12th century. It is one of the most iconic features of the cathedral and attracts tourists from all over the world. The tower can be accessed by those aged 11 years and over, and includes a 360-degree view of the city below.
Magnificent church and museum, make sure that you don't skip this place if you visit Sevilla.
The Giralda is a masterpiece for any art lover, but it's mostly packed with history and narratives that connect to our modern world.
It's recommended that you purchase your tickets online and ahead of time, usually it's pretty packed, also you have the option to hire a tour guide, rent an audio guide or even use your cellphone as an audio guide, any of those options are fine, but recommended since the narratives will truly make the most out of your visit.
Don't miss the opportunity to climb up the main tower, also check Christopher Columbus Mausoleum along with the stunning views of the chapel.

As i like to say, finish up from the cathedral then head up the tower for the dessert of the view! Keep in mind, it's 30-35 floors up on a ramp (not stairs) so be prepared for that. There are places to stop for a minute and catch your breath, though at the top, the view alone will take it all away again!
Wonderful 360 view sight of Seville from a distance, where modern meet the old and vice versa.
The cathedral on the other hard, like never seen before. Shockingly, when I first entered I thought this isn't what i expected, but when you walk in the main hall of the cathedral, you start to appreciate it quite nicely.
From entry point, all the way inside, keep an eye out on the tainted windows, the ceilings above you and the overall design of the place. Also, walk around in order and look at the beautifully designed walls, Columbus tomb and much more!
Always, book in advance your spots to avoid a line and waiting.

A must do to get out of the intense midday heat! Be warned, you'll be climbing up the tower for a far while and it's pretty steep but worth it.
A really pretty view to admire the cathedral from above and Seville. Pretty busy so book in advance!
Lee Reavill — Google review
A beautiful tower built in the minaret style. It's part of the stunning Seville Cathedral. I would highly recommend leaving some time to go up to the top as it affords stunning views over the city of Seville.
Sudipto Guha — Google review
You need to be physically fit to get to the top, as it's a 35 staircase equivalent (ramps, not stairs, so technically wheelchair accessible, but the incline is steep) up to the top. The views were gorgeous and worth it though! Buy tickets in advance
D Balaban — Google review
Do NOT miss it!
Do it!
Climb it!
You will regret if you don't, and yes this is not that easy if you are not young or not that fit.
This is high but as you climb ramps (around 34 short ramps) and not stairs, and as you can stop several time on your way up at the many windows, you'll be able to do it.
And you'll need patience, not endless but a significant amount as many others will be there, on the way up, on the way down, and especially at the top.
They'll stay quite a long time mesmerized by the stunning views on the 4 sides of this tower.
But it will be worth your time, patience and effort.
Just look at the pictures.

Definitely worth seeing. We paid for the audio tour and it was absolutely worth it too. There is a lot of information and things we would have missed had we not had it. Keep in mind you have to pay in card for it not cash so be sure to have one on you.
Be sure to visit the tower to appreciate the view of the city. However, keep in mind it is a LONG walk up to it. There is only 20 steps at the end and the rest of the tower you go up by ramps but it is something to consider if you have some sort of physical limitation.
There was a long line we had to do to get our tickets because they were sold out online but don’t let it deter you. The line went all the way outside but it only took us 15-20 mins to get through it. The process was super smooth.
Faby — Google review
The Cathedral was nice but the tower was a bit better as you got a nice view of the city. Only issue is the climb. It isn't hard but very slow moving and lots of people/traffic. Otherwise we got timed tickets to go inside. We had no trouble getting into the tower and no line up but it seemed others did. The Cathedral was nice but there are nicer ones in Spain.

MUST SEE ATTRACTION IN SEVILLA! Climb the tower ramps (not terribly steep but kind of long) to go to the top. The view is breathtaking. I dressed modestly (long pants, shirt with sleeves, and closed-toe shoes) due to other cathedrals I had been in, but many people were dressed in tank tops, shorts and dresses and had no problem.
Kiley Preheim — Google review
A cultural experience to behold, but bring your walking shoes! You enter thru the cathedral and head up an incline that's about 30 stories. It's a challenge but definitely worth the trek. The gift shop does sell water at a very reasonable price, so don't be afraid to get a bottle before heading up.
The history, architecture, and views are a highlight of any trip. You can see so much of Seville it's quite an experience!!!

The Giralda is the bell tower of Seville Cathedral.
It is the former minaret of a mosque completed in 1198.
It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
It's a bit of a climb up, but we'll worth it.
There are fantastic views of Seville from the top.
Make sure to include when buying ticket for the cathedral.

Pictures can't depict how spectacular this is. This was a definite high point while visiting Seville. We participated in an audio tour with a guide. I don't think that is necessary. We certainly received information we would not have otherwise and we were able to "skip the line" but I think exploring on your own may be a better option.

One of the amazing towers in the world with an incredible view of Seville city! This is one of the highlights & most visited monuments of Seville. It is a bell tower of one of the largest cathedrals in the world. With 37 storeys, the ascend & descend is comfortable.

One of the attractions no one can miss in Sevilla. Buy the tickets in advance and get there at least 10 minutes before your entry time. You first go up the tower (there are no stairs, the whole way up is with ramps) and then visit the cathedral. Take your time, it's the 3rd biggest in the world. We spent around 2h total there. The view from up there is great.
Marcelo Moreira — Google review
Beautiful views, amazing architecture and good value - must do! €12 gets you into the cathedral and the surrounding grounds. Do not miss going up the Giralda Tower - the views are fantastic, also make sure you stop in the side windows and take in some of the unique views of the cathedral and neighbouring buildings! The cathedral itself is rich with artefacts and religious items if you're into that. The intricate workmanship of everything here is amazing and well preserved!
JJ Tran — Google review
Great views of the city and a lovely breeze on a hot day. Climbing this tower isn't as difficult as it sounds although there is no lift. Rather than steps, you climb up sloped ramps, 35 of them as you go up. You could see plenty of elderly people and parents with kids so it is well worth it
Lydia Toshev — Google review
Enter in from the Cathedral and walk up about 35 floors which are all via ramps. Once you get to the top, you have to climb stairs. The view itself is great but it was insanely crowded and you had to wait to get into each viewpoint. There is a chain fence that partially obstructs your view and that takes away some of the charm but you can still get pictures in the gaps.
The walk down is actually the hard part, especially on your knees since it's all a decline. Many older people went up so it is doable but you do feel rushed while up there.
James Z — Google review
Full of Gothic style details, very tall and majestic, perfect and with attractive proportions.
Be sure to buy ticket in advance to climb the minaret.
Unfortunately, I could not get a ticket and I missed the experience of seeing sky line of Seville 🥺😔
seyed ali Zare — Google review
First thing you do when visiting the Cathedral. There are no steps, just ramps going up on four sides of the square tower. It turned out to easier than I had imagined. So do it!
When viewing outside, you can see the 'call to prayer minar' section, with the bell tower added to the top.
Was told by guide, that this was a part of the old mosque retained, as it was earthquake proof...which the Christians couldn't master.
Imtiaz Ali — Google review
Here's a fun fact for you on this one... do you know how many steps you'd need to take to get to the top of this tower?! Nope, not 300, not 400, or 500, but a grand total of 3 and no, they don't have an elevator. So go see it yourself and you'll find out why. Hint: the answer may involve a donkey. Fun aside, I think they need to manage the influx of people better. There were way too many people at the top, you had to wait to get a spot to see the view. Definitely worth a visit but be prepared to stack behind people for a little while.
Everest — Google review
The exterior building is spectacular. To see the top of the tower however was disappointing. When you get to the top there is a metal net covering the view making it hard to take good pictures. You have to put your camera against the net to get a decent picture of the views. Going up and down the tower can be difficult at busy times so try to visit early before the rush. Spectacular cathedral inside with beautiful decorative paintings and statues. My advice is to get a guide to help beat the queues
David Knowles — Google review
Climbing all 30+ floors of the Giralda was a tough ask on a hot day in Seville but so worth the 360 degree views of the city. No wait at all and included in the entry price of the Cathedral so good value as well. Would recommend to anyone visiting the city.
Alex Layzell — Google review
Worth visiting. If you are healthy and in shape you will enjoy it much more. 35 floor climbing to the top is physically breathtaking. But recommended to be done. Find your way through the cathedral. They will check your ticket at the entrance again.
Ali Lari — Google review
Interesting and beautiful tower which gives you and overview of the city. The tower has a ramp leading up the 82 Meters instead of stairs, which is an interesting feature.
It might get very crowded during high season, as it was full and hard to get a window space up top in february.
I went with a tour I was very satisfied with, so I cant say much about the lines.
Lieren — Google review
Well, it was under reconstruction so one side was covered with scaffoldings during our stay. We saw very long queue so decided not to go on tour (also because of reconstruction) so cannot really say how it is indoor. From outside it is astonishing and one of the biggest cathedrals I saw, really massive structure.
Peter Borsuk — Google review
The views are incredible. Thirty-four floors to climb, but it's relatively gentle inclined and wide ramp rather than a narrow winding staircase. Plenty of resting places and viewing platforms on the way up / down. Be careful of the bells though, very very loud if they chime while you're up there!

The Royal Alcazar of Seville is one of the most impressive royal palaces in all of Spain. Spanning over 1,600 feet (500 meters) and featuring sixteen century tiles, the palace is home to some of Sevilles most beautiful gardens and ornate arches.
Amazing way to spend a day in Sevilla. The grounds are well kept, the history as rich as it gets and even the crowds seemed tolerable. The gardens were occupied with peacocks and other small animals and the ponds were filled with fish and ducks. Overall a nice refreshing visit to Ottoman influenced architecture while in Spain.
Tickets were available to purchase when we arrived. Our time to visit was just 40 minutes away so a walk around the church grounds was sufficient before lining up. We were able to enter 15 minutes before our assigned time so no need to wait the full wait time.

Incredible palace. One of the best I’ve seen in Europe. The gardens are exquisite and pleasant to stroll through. We arrived at 11:30 (buy tickets online to avoid the ticket line) and we entered with a lot of people. Within an hour everyone dispersed and it felt somewhat empty. The weather was amazing so we spent a lot of time in the gardens. Don’t forget to check out the maze. That’s a fun thing to do. After spending some time with the peacocks and checking out the bathhouses, we made our way back inside and revisited the many different rooms as well as the bath house. Everything is so well maintained and the entire facility is its own maze but well worth the visit and worth getting lost inside. My favorite room was the tapestry room. That contained tapestries from several hundred years ago and also told stories from great battles to eloquent religious images. Upstairs contained the plates, dishes, tiles, and other smaller items. It also included great views of the courtyard as well as other views of the gardens. As you near the exit of the property, there’s a really nice cafe and the exit puts you in another courtyard with lots of street art and vendors selling cool goodies. We bought a picture/painting so now my wife gets to lug that around for the rest of our trip lol

We visited here in 2019 and again today. I loved it the first time and just as much the second time too.
It’s an amazing palace and gardens. So much to look at.
Seville was pretty quiet when we visited in July but this was the one place that was busy, although we queued for 30 mins for a ticket to enter immediately- so better than our previous visit in March.
The palace is more busy than the gardens and on the second visit we spent more time outside sitting in the tranquil gardens. Easy to spend a delightful 3 hours here.

Beautiful palace and grounds. Pictures can't depict the beauty and intricacies in architecture and tile work. We took an audio tour with a guide. It allowed us to "skip the line" but we would have been happy exploring on our own.
We walked the city a few days later and came across two weddings at the Palace. One was ending and one was just about to start. It was a lovely sight.

This was by far my favourite attraction in Seville. The gardens in particular are beautiful and we spent a few hours wandering around. The buildings themselves don't have the grandeur of the Alhambra but are still well worth a visit. It is best to buy a ticket in advance online as there were quite large queues when we visited. Also good to arrive early to avoid the huge crowds.
Benjamin Harvey — Google review
This is 100% worth it! It was so beautiful we could spend forever in there if we could. I recommend buying tickets in advanced as they sell out fast. We were able to buy tickets the day before but we went during off season. Give yourself at least 2hrs here there is so much to see!

Bought tickets on line but very quiet the day I visited, so was able to walk straight in. Some stunning architecture; don't forget to look up and check out the beautifully ornate ceilings! One of the highlights for me was walking around the gardens. Free entry, but not until after 4pm, on a Monday; may try next time, but for a first visit, give yourself plenty of time to wander around leisurely. (I was there for nearly 4 hours - recommend you take drinks and snacks, to sit and enjoy in the gardens).

Highlight of Seville and a must! Allow a good few hours to take it all in and explore leisurely as it gets very busy! We visited around lunchtime and by mid afternoon it was very busy and the queue outside was huge.
The architecture and gardens are stunning. You can see why this is a popular backdrop for film and TV. We could have happily stayed here all day to take in the sights. Its stunning.

Great experience, got visit a part of history. The architecture is fascinating. You could see the different eras that have lived and passed through it.
The gardens are so beautiful, and each one is special to an era of history.
I'm giving it 4 stars because as the payment is done by card only it creates a bit of a hassle for tourists that have cash only so I've seen people on the line with me that have left for this reason.

Such an amazing place to have visited! Really fascinating to visit this old palace and it’s immaculately kept gardens which are well worth a visit. Peacocks roam the grounds adding to the beauty and there’s a lot to explore. Really interesting architecture as well which dates back thousands of years.

Breath taking experience! This palace is first known to me by the scene shot in game of thrones. When I am here, I see so much more and so much better. Unlike typical royal garden, this one consists of many little cozy courtyard that is familiar to normal class people. You will definitely enjoy yourself by wandering inside or simply sit somewhere sunny.

This place is stunning. Great architectural features and a garden that everyone dreams of having. I recommend going right when they open for the best chance at getting pictures with minimal people around as later in the day it will be very busy. I also recommend booking the royal chambers tour and getting a look at the private areas of the royal family. You need to book this tour online and try to get it atleast 60 days in advance. Don’t show up late or you might miss your chance as they only let max of 10 people in at a time.

A beautiful part in Sevilla and an important must do for any tourist visiting the city. The castle is beautiful in every way, from the lovely gardens to the mosaic art to the walkways and squares.
The Alcázar is extensive, its beauty is breathtaking and is one of the most important places to see in all of Spain.
I’d recommend buying tickets well in advance, and go for early times around opening (9:30 am). Remember to bring some form of ID as they will check for it and buying tickets in advance is surely a must for this exhibit.

Super visit, recommend buying tickets in advance as they sell out quickly. Timed entrance, with a fast moving queue. Quite busy going through the different rooms. Gardens very peaceful. There is also an option to view the gardens at night when they are illuminated. Audio commentary available via an app for 6 Euros or 7 Euros for a mobile device.
Yvonne Morris — Google review
Absolutly wonderful! If you tend to take your time and go slow (like me) plan on this visit being at least a solid 2 hours of your day. Everything is SO beautiful it is amazing. I didn't get the ticket that includes the royal rooms because those get booked up in advance, but don't worry if you can't either, the general ticket is so worth it as well. Don't miss this on your trip to Sevilla!!

We bought our tickets online same day (it’s typically a little cheaper to buy online) We bought our tickets at 9:50 am on a Monday for 10:30 am entrance. We walked in at 10:15am.
It is a lot bigger than it looks, so be prepared for a lot of walking. It’s beautiful and has so much history. There is so much to look at you could easily spend a few hours there. The garden is giant, it has a small cafe and gift shop. There are ducks and peacocks walking around. The audio tour was 6€ on an app you can buy once you enter. I do recommend going early (if in the summer) because it gets very hot as the day progresses.
We spent 2hours looking at everything and eating at the cafe and I still don’t think we saw everything, but we saw enough that I don’t feel like we missed anything.

A true must see in the heart of Seville, you do not want to be frugal on this one, it is really worth it. Beautiful place no matter where you go and very big too, it could be hard to visit every room and garden without a map (which you can take at the entrance). Apart from the magnificent interior and gardens, you can find many peacocks just chilling somewhere near the trees and bushes. And for the tickets it would be smart to buy them in advance.
Danilas Pavilionis — Google review
Bottom line: Recommend!
Now, get online and reserve a ticket ASAP because it's a very popular attraction and if you want to reserve a time slot you should book it in advance!
We came on a Saturday late morning and saw a huge queue to get it.
We tried to buy tickets online using our phone but they require you to fill in passport or ID details which isn't very comfortable on mobile, so we went to the ticket office.
There we waited around 30 min to buy a ticket for the same day (you can't buy for another day other than the same day).
Also, you must show them a passport or an ID (if it's on mobile it's fine).
We then arrived at our designated time of 17.30 (in the summer it's better to go early morning or late evening otherwise it's too hot!) and other than scanning the tickets no one asked for our IDs. So what is it needed for??
The place itself - after seeing Alhambra castel in Granada, this fort/palace was less impressive but nonetheless beautiful and unique.
As opposed to Alhambra in which you can only go in 1 direction, here you can go wherever you want to and from wherever you want.
This might be a bit confusing and you can easily miss some parts as this is a huge palace, but the free map (take one) might help (don't miss the wine cellar before going out to the garden).
There is a bar outside in the gardens but it closed around 19.00 so make sure you go there before if you want to enjoy some drinks and snacks.
Enjoy 😊

A wonderful place that I'd recommend visiting with a reputable tour guide. Apparently this place or palace or castle is still in use by the royal family. I arrived early and had to wait for the doors to open, but this was a good thing as my group had most of the place to ourselves without any other people. Photography and video is allowed which is great because I took many photos. I wish I had more time at this location as there's much to see. Unfortunately, I don't remember much of the history lesson from my tour guide and won't be able to regurgitate any historical information in my review.

Absolutely excellent. I highly recommend getting tickets which allow you to go into the royal chamber. We did not have a tour guide through the palace, but I would recommend one We did love the gardens, which was a high point for us as they go on and on, and are just a joy to spend time in. The detail in the palace is unbelievable, a must see when in Sevilla

The Centro Histórico de Estepona is a beautiful historic landmark in the city of Estepona, located on a pedestrian street lined with flower pots. It is home to many murals and cultural pieces, as well as quaint eateries and cafes. The old town is well worth visiting for its charming aesthetic, and it is also a great place to explore the city centre.
Very pretty part of Estepona. We enjoyed strolling around in the little alleys, viewing the beautiful flower arrangements on the buildings. Many nice restaurants in the areas. The old town is well worth visiting. It’s a beautiful piece of an otherwise not-so-spectacular city.
