Please remember not to litter because it’s quite clean and so we should let it be that way.

One of the cleanest beach. This beach, which is located on Porbandar Veraval highway, is most likely the best beach in Gujarat and may be the best beach in Gujarat from the top locations nearby Porbandar.
Madhavpur Ghed, a small but culturally significant village, is the place where, according to folklore, Lord Krishna married Rukmini, the daughter of King Bhishmaka.
The beach is not safe for swimming, but perfect for taking in the sea breeze. Waves are very high so i recommend that not to go closer to waves.
This is the place where Krishna shed his mortal coil, and is the confluence of rivers Kapila, Hiren and Saraswati.

Sakkarbaug Zoological Park is a longstanding zoo that boasts a diverse collection of animals, including rare and endangered species such as Asian lions. The park also features an assortment of birds and even offers visitors the chance to see kangaroos up close. One of the oldest zoo of India - almost 160 years old..
Needs lot of maintenance. Officials should understand this to maintain the glory of a zoo which could be a matter of pride for Gujarat
They do have variety of wild animals, birds, reptiles, fishes, etc.
It's definitely fun time for kids to see variety of animals and birds
Setback was the cages, play area, etc which were in bad shape.
They do have ample parking space.
Location is easily approachable.

Located near Sonrakh River Bridge on the Junagadh-Rajkot highway in Junagadh city.
Considered one of the prime Junagadh tourist attractions, the zoo authorities are famed for having wild and free moving Asiatic lions that have been wiped out from most of Asia and are nowadays found only in the nearby Gir Forest. Apart from the Asiatic Lions, the Junagadh Zoo is home to 700 mammalian species, 115 reptiles, and 200 hundred birds. Chowsingha or the four-horned antelopes, Indian Leopards, chital, sambar, blackbucks, black panther, hippopotamus, Crocodiles, Ostriches, spotted deer, flying squirrel, monkey, etc. are the main animal species found in the zoo.
Lush-green Ravantad tad palms, foxtail palms, tall Ashoka trees, and large banyan trees visible from the busy road add to the beauty of the zoo’s general surroundings which otherwise resemble that of the Gir forest, the last abode of Asiatic lions in the world. They've taken away the tigers as they were nowhere to be seen during the visit. As of the conditions of animals were not in a proper manner. Wildlife should be protected at any cost as they are very essential for our mother nature. Taking utmost care of them and providing necessary facilities will do a little part on ourselves to ensure the beautiful mother nature.

A fort and town was established at the foothills of Girnar hill during reign of the Maurya Empire. Abhira Chudasama King Graharipu Ahir (r. c.940-c.982) cleared the old structure from the jungle. and laid the foundations of the new citadel. Dewan of Junagadh State, Haridas Viharidas had restored the fort In 1893-94. Government of Gujarat initiated restoration of the fort and the structures inside it In July 2020.
Structures -
Jumma Masjid built by Mahmud Begada.
The Tomb of Nuri Shah is close to the mosque.
There are two Wells in the Uparkot — the Adi Kadi Vav is descended by a long flight of steps; and the Navghan Kuvo, cut to a great depth in the soft rock, and with a circular staircase.
Uparkot Caves are 2nd-3rd century double storeyed Buddhist cave complex located in the Uparkot.
Nawabi Lake is a square artificial lake.

History: Said to have been built in 319 BC, the fort was the architectural work of Chandragupta. But the fort changed many hands. Remnants of different rulers can be seen in some parts of the structure. For example, on the rampart above the gate is an inscription of Mandalika III, dated 1450. Another emblem is in the form of a 10 inch bore cannon of bell-metal - 17 feet long and 4 feet 8-inch round at the mouth. This gun was brought from Diu, where it was left by the Ottoman Turks when they were defeated in the Siege of Diu in the mid-16th century.

About the location: This ancient fort is believed to have been built in 319 BC by the Mauryan emperor Chandragupta, though it has been extended many times. In places, the ramparts reach 20m high. It’s been besieged 16 times, and legend has it that the fort once withstood a 12-year siege. The views over the city and east to Girnar Hill are superb, and within its walls, there is a magnificent former mosque, a set of millennia-old Buddhist caves and two fine step-wells. The fort has two fine step-wells both cut from solid rock. The circular, 41m-deep Adi Kadi Vav was cut in the 15th century and named after two slave girls who used to fetch water from it. Navghan Kuvo, 52m deep and designed to help withstand sieges, is almost 1000 years old and its magnificent staircase spirals around the well shaft. Look for the centuries-old dovecotes.

Very Impressive. Govt gave renovation work to a private contractor for ₹ 386 crores under ASI supervision. Beautifully renovated. Neat and clean. Entrance is Rs. 100/- per person and Rs 236/- for guide (optional). This goes to the private contractor managing the fort. Over and above you need to tip the guide.

Its a 2300 year old fort and was constructed by the chudasama dynasty. It was closed for almost 4 years for restoration and has now been reopened. Electric vehicles are also available. Its situated right beside the girnar hills and has lots to offer. From chudasamas to mauryas to rajputs, many dynasties have ruled over this fort and have left their marks here. Even light soothing music is played at some parts. A good 4-5 hours are required to cover this fort. Also its very pictersque. Fantastic monument. Must visit.

It's a fort which used to accommodate whole town in it. Great place-- not to be missed. Very historical place. If you can go on foot it is definitely better but if you can not, there is an electrical car which takes you to the places in the fort. It takes around 2 hrs to move around and if you can spend little more time it should be better. It is restored recently but still more work has to be done.

Well maintained. Water coolers at many locations inside. Great view of ⛰️ mountains. The lake here and water purifier system of old time are still amazing. Entry Ticket is 100 rupees for Indians. You can get bicycle inside for ride. Cycle track is also there.

Uparkot was really a must visit place before the government made huge commercial development inside the fort. Now it's less historical and more urban. You will have to pay separately for visiting the Baudhh Caves which are already there inside the fort, and for the fort itself there are entry fees of Rs.100/- per person.
It is a great historical place, but the government has changed it to a commercial place by building Game Zones, Food Zones, Sports & Entertainment Zones inside the fort. They just vanished the original beauty of the historical fort. I am not recommending visiting Uparkot now.

It's a really good place to visit if you are more of a history person. The fort is huge and takes around 3 hours to fully explore it.
I have had a chance to visit it with my family but we didn't have much time to enjoy it thoroughly, though we managed to go through the main attractions in this fort and learned more about the history.
The type of people there were, old weapons used by the king and the facilities provided in the fort to make people's lives easy. It was a very good and memorable experience!
Take some time and explore this fort with your friends and family.
Girnar mountain peak is a well-known destination for Hindu and Jain pilgrims, with numerous temples spread across its forested terrain. The mountain rises dramatically from the surrounding plains, offering stunning views to those who brave the daunting climb up its 10,000 stone steps. To reach the uppermost temples requires a full day's walk, but visitors are rewarded with breathtaking sunrises and an unforgettable hiking experience.
Girnar has the highest pick of the gujarat.
There are approx 10000 steps. Rope way takes you till Ambaji. If you want to visit Jain temple, you have to come down by walk or “palkhi”.
From Ambaji, you can go further towards Gorakhnath and Guru Datatrey. Its approx 2800 steps from Ambaji.
Parking: plenty of parking available near to the rope way. Its on small ground
and side of the road so its free but not secure.

Girnar, also known as Girinagar or Revatak Parvata, situated near Junagadh. Is considered older than the Himalayas, Girnar, the mountain and its range are considered sacred. It is an important pilgrimage site for both Hindus , who gather here during the Girnar Parikrama festival. Later on some Jain temples were also built, some of which are very recent. Girnar is one of the five major ‘tirthas’ attributed to the ‘panch kalyanakas’ of various ‘Jain tirthankaras’. Girnar is also significant among Shiva devotees for the so-called “mystic space-time” of the mountain range, with the presence and turnover of different sects of Sadhu Babas, Nath sect and others. Flora and fauna fairs are also held at the mountains, such as the Maha Shivratri fair. It hosts a number of temples and some historical spots across its range. Amidst the lush green Gir Forest, the mountain range serves as the hub of religious
Here is the some places which are not so much wellknown but must visit places around the girnar , or you can say on the route of PARIKRAMA Gaumukhi, Bordevi, Hanuman Temple, Sita madhi, Hanuman Madhi, Kamandal Kund, Datatrey Shikhar, Hasnapur Dam and many more. The photos are more of the places which is mot so famous.
Now the Girnar roap way is working in its full strength and it is now easy to reach to the top of mountain and in between clouds and also infrant of JAGAT JANANI MA AMBA BHAVANI.
The crest of the mountain (3330 feet) is reached by a steep flight of stairs. Here is an ancient temple of Hindu Goddess Amba mata temple, which is much resorted to by newly married couples . The bride and bridegroom have their clothes tied together, and attended by their male and female relations, adore the goddess and present cocoa-nuts and other offerings. This pilgrimage is supposed to procure for the couple along continuance of wedded bliss.
I am giving every one who like mountaineering and see the photos and find the remote places for the adventure purpose and specially live in the clean and green environment

GIRNAR:
Let me share you my experience of THE Girnar.
Journey from Ahmedabad To Junagadh via Train. Railway station To Girnar destination via Auto. You can negotiate there its fun.
Started climbing after refreshment at hotel and breakfast at around 4AM. ( Don't worry, you wont be alone, you will see many people starting to climb at this time. Also locals will be there to guide you)
Bring Food (Fast food) and water with you in Bag.
Girnar has around 10K steps (one way) and highest peak of Gujarat state.
There are more than 3 temples in different level of Peak.
Last destination would be Dattatrey Temple at 10k steps.
3 ways to hike: Trekking, Ropeway and doli.
Ropeway will help you till 4k steps at Ambaji temple. You will have to strike for Dattatrey by walking only or Doli.
It took approx 2 hours to reach Ambaji temple (4k step). The view from there is just spledid fr. From there, it would take another 2 hours to reach 10k steps at dattatrey. And The view from highest peak there will literally take your breathe away. Its one in a lifetime experience.
Its like go before you turn 30 experience to me.
They also provide you free lunch there in one of temples idk name.
In my opinion, Go visit there only in Monsoon as you wont be tired in this season, also wont be needing drinking water much. Winter would be difficult as your body wont allow you to trekk in this temprature. And dont even think about summer lol.
Its a one day Trekking so you can plan ut on saturday so you can rest sunday and go to jail, i mean job, on monday.
We walked +24km in Girnar (smart watch).
Attaching Photos and videos i have taken in Girnar for your reference.

Wonderful and beautiful mountains, sunset, climate and temples😍.
From Ropeway you reach to mata temple and it's in the middle of jain and dattatray mountain. The steps are really hard so please rent wooden stick. Come up with snacks & drinking water because expensive over here.
Only one problem is there tourist throws all the waste in the mountains so it is damaging natural elements and also it's harmful how can they clean the mountain deeply. Please use your mind and dustbin.

This is one of Jain's most important Pilgrims. At 4000 staircases, there is Jain tirth of Mulnayak Shree Neminath Bhagwan. It's an ancient idol all over the world.
At 5500 staircases, Hindu Temple of Shree Ambika Mata ji. And at 10000 staircases, peak of the mountain there is Shree Dattatray Temple.
Ropeways facilities are available at Ambika Mata temple, 5500 staircases.

One of most divine place on the earth I must say! Girnar moutain is older than Himalaya and it has Ambaji mata the incarnation of Parvati Mata and Guru Dattatray on its peak, makes very auspicious and divine. One must visit this mountain once in a life.
It has 10000 steps, in order to climb this you need to be physically feet. There is also ropeway cable car service available till Ambaji temple. After that you need to climb 3000 more steps which will take 2-3 hours to reach Guru Dattatray temple.
Darshan of Ambaji mata and Guru Dattatray bhagwan makes you refresh, your fatigue will get vanished and you will feel the inner peace for sure. This mountain, trail and all these places are very auspicious and divine so please keep this in mind while climbing. Please keep it clean. Jai Girnari !

One of the highlight place in Junagadh. If somebody is coming 1st time then place use cable instead of walking if you are coming in hot weather. It will talk 3-4hrs to climb up and 1-2 hrs to climb down. If you want to climb by walk then be sure in night as in night weather is not that much hot.

It's very spiritual place when you vist there your mind & body is refreshed, feel inner peace..
Girnar Parvat has an extremely rich history and the mountain is older than the Himalayas. The Jain temples on the mountain are considered as the most ancient temples in India. It is celebrated as the Nirvan Bhumi of the 22nd Tirthankara Lord Neminatha. The mountain is 3666 feet high, and the highest mountain in the state of Gujarat. One can only see the peak of Girnar Parvat from the city of Junagadh, which is at an elevation of 351 feet.
The ropecar facility upto 5000 feet and balance steps 4000 to be reach by walk

Totally there are about 9999 steps to and fro from Girnar Girinagar
Girnar also known as Girnar Hill or
main tourist attraction in the area, top of the hill, is a group of beautifully carved Jain temples built between 1128 and 1500. Neminath, the 22nd tirthankara.
There is the peak of Ambaji, with a height of 3,330 ft (1,010 m), which is famous for the temple dedicated to the goddess Amba Mata dating back to the 12th century.
The steps go down and up again to Gorakhnath Peak at 1116m (3666 ft) above sea level, where there are footprints of the rishi Gorakhnath.
The steps again go down and there is Kamandal Kund and another peak where there are footprints of Guru Dattatreya. The steps to Dattatrey Peak are quite difficult.
Visitors must climb 8,500 steps to reach the top of the hill, so it is best to start early in the morning (before 6 am)

The Khambhalida Buddhist Caves appear to be a neglected site, with no known management or promotion for tourism. Located only seven minutes away from the popular Khodaldham temple, the caves remain secluded and unknown to many. Even seasoned drivers have reported never taking tourists there before, suggesting a lack of interest in the site. Despite its seemingly forgotten state, the caves possess historical significance as an ancient Buddhist complex worth exploring for those interested in such sites.
A cave & a history of 1800 years old culture. Truly amazing. The government has recently constructed stone support pillars & beams to make sure that the structure do not fall. If you are into history, definitely visit this archeologically rich heritage site.

What a wonderful place! Sadly, when we went there.. there wasn't any guard, caretaker or any management person present. The gate was closed.
We opened it ourselves. The place was secluded. No sign of any person whatsoever. I wonder why this place is so neglected especially when there's Khodaldham temple just 7 minutes away.
This place should be promoted for tourism.
The old driver that took us to this place said that in my 32 years of driving career, I have never taken any tourist to this place.. no one goes there.. no one is interested in it and no one knows about it...and even I haven't seen it ever.

10minutes from Khambhalida Temple these Buddhist caves are a hidden gem.
This is a very small part of what could have been a bigger residence or meditation cave for Buddhist Monks in the ancient era.
The cave is not open for exploration but this is a must visit if you are a history buff. Also, the natural environment makes a perfect opt for a photoshooot.
The place is secluded and in the middle of a jungle, many locals can be spotted however avoid wandering off the trek one can easily gets lost in the Jungle.

The caves are situated at the foot of small hillocks on the banks of a spring. They are carved out of limestone rocks. There are three caves, the central one contains the stupa which is known as chaitya cave. There are two sculptures of Bodhisattva on the either sides of the gate of the chaitya cave. On the left, the figure is probably Padmapani under Ashoka-like tree with a female companion and five attendants. There is a yaksha-like dwarf on the left of it holding a basket. The figure on the right is probably Vajrapani under Ashoka-like tree with similar attendants

Fun world has been an iconic Rajkot place since decades.
In a recent visit (few month back), we witnessed how they’re trying to carry on the legacy and provide as much entertainment as possible to all age groups.
While it’s unfair to compare it to a big amusement park of this day and age, fun world lives upto its name - one can literally have fun irrespective of one’s age.
A few thrilling rides, kid’s rides, food and drinks counters, ample seating and washrooms complete the park.
Lightning can be improved in the evening and washroom can be made better.
Ticket counters are available outside and the visit is generally pocket friendly.

In 1st apprence it does not look like a museum this is like a doll showroom, the good part is dall collection is from all over the world, good cleanliness no rush and nice presentation of dolls.
The negative part is difficult to find the place, it is in market place, no space for parking, dolls are not exclusive, same kind of doll will be available in market. For Disneyland dolls all are soft toys looking chief, One Brazilian doll we found, the same doll my daughter playing at home.
So this may not be an exclusive place, may visit one time for free time, your child will enjoy,
Entry fees Rs 30, and mobile camera charges also Rs 30.

History :-
Akshar Deri and Akshar temple located in Gondal is major pilgrimage site for Swaminarayana sampraday and specifically to BAPS organization. Gunatitanand Swami concluded his mortal existence in 1867 at Gondal. After cremation ceremony Abhaysinh Darbar, disciple of Gunatitanand Swami had built a beautiful shrine called Akshar Deri at that place.
In 1927, Narayandas Swami, Mahant of Junagahd and disciple of Balmukunddas Swami desired to build shikhar baddh mandir as he commanded by Gunatitanand Swami in dream. Then Narayanji Maharaj met Maharaja Bhagvatsinhji of Gondal and requested him for the farm in which Akshar Deri was located to build a Shikhar Baddh Mandir. The Maharaja agreed to give the land for Rs. 25,000 with conditions to kept Akshar Deri as it is and three-shikhar mandir to be built at cost of ten lakh within three years. Then Narayanji Maharaj and Haribhai Amin met Shastriji at Sarangpur. In 1932, Shastriji Maharaj put up the foundation-stone and started the excavation work for the pillars of the mandir. During the excavation one silver elephant with a chariot was found, this incident showcase that shortage of resources in Akshar Deri will not happen in future.
Even after financial hurdles, temple construction was completed in two years and Shastriji Mahara had arrange three-day yagna for the murti-pratishtha ceremony on 23-5-1934 and Yogiji Maharaj was appointed as the Mahant of Akshar Mandir. For years Yogiji Maharaj served the deities and the devotees here at Akshar Mandir in Gondal.
This is how huge and beautiful Swaminarayan temple with Akshar deri present in the basement of the temple becomes major pilgrimage site for swaminarayana. Various facilities for ritual, Maha Puja, holy bath and accommodation for devotee are managed by temple trust.

Swaminarayan Mandir in Gondal is a significant Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Swaminarayan, a revered spiritual leader. The temple, known for its intricate architecture, serves as a place of worship and cultural activities for followers of the Swaminarayan tradition.
Akshar Deri, on the other hand, is a sacred site within the Swaminarayan tradition, located in the premises of some Swaminarayan temples. It is a memorial shrine commemorating the cremation spot of Gunatitanand Swami, a prominent saint and a close associate of Lord Swaminarayan. Devotees visit Akshar Deri to pay their respects and seek spiritual blessings.

There is a vast changes found in temple surroundings in recent years, it has improved the space for standing and roam it has also vast area for the pilgrims to stay and also comparatively the transport frequency also has been increased. I did liked the pure and clean environment around it as I could literally have a seat anywhere on the ground as it was so much clean and I hope the local public should also contribute to it.
Systematic and controlled arrangements found in the visitation of deity main temple area also they said mobile is prohibited but still no major force were applied on it as i was able to video call my mom who was unable to reach there at that moment- it was a positive approach.

It is a wonderful place for peace and devotion, with a serene atmosphere and undoubtedly imbued with positive energy within the temple grounds. The highlight of the visit is the magnificent hanumanji status located approximately 153 meters height ,which adds to the spiritual ambiance of the surroundings. Additionally, I was deeply impressed by mandir management's gesture of providing free bhojan Prasad to every visitor, exemplifying their commitment to hospitality and community service, overall,it was a truly enriching, both spiritual and culturally.

In morning at 10 chances of getting room is greater.

Crowded and unmaintained. All that security and they cannot form queues for the crowd. Place here should learn from other big temples out there where there are proper barricades to avoid rush. People were pressed against each other, could barely breathe and thought many times to get out but couldn't. I felt for poor old people who had breathing issues. This place is only for the brave and who have no problem rubbing against strangers.
I gave it 3 stars because of what a mammoth of a place this is. Such a big statue of Hanumanji outside but it doesn't do justice to the unbridled crowd that keeps pushing each other for no reason. Government needs to look into this ASAP and put down strict measures.
Prashant Singh (Scottshak) — Google review
It was a great spiritual and overwhelming experience here. The crowd chanting Jay Shree Ram, Jay Shree Ram and I just felt overwhelmed. It is said here that your troubles and pain will be taken away by just a glimpse of the god Hanuman's idol. Okay, let's get back to amenities and facilities here, a wide area of parking available. There are plenty of neat and clean bathrooms and toilets for refreshment, rest rooms are available at cheaper rates. Free locker room facility available. It's usually crowded on weekends especially on saturdays. In summer, there are good arrangements for heat relief, they cordoned the top with greens and put small showers at somewhat 3-4 metres. I actually visited in summer and it was a great relief so i guess it's a good idea. Free meal for all here in the afternoon. If you have any breathing problems please consider less crowded days like working days, I have seen 2 people fainting due to suffocation.

Visited Kashtabhanjan Hanumanji mandir on weekday but it was gudi padwa. Was slightly crowded. Visit didn't took much longer time. Also did vidhi there ( no compulsion ).
Unfortunately Dada's murti wasn't fully ready and still under construction.
Things to remember -
Rooms within mandir premises was slightly on higher side which is 700 for non Ac and 1500 for Ac. Their were few localities who guided to use the guest room where the rate for ac were just 700 and non ac 500 and was adjacent to mandir too.
Peaceful place. Visit was really awesome.

Lothal is an archaeological site of the Indus Valley civilization dating back to 3700 BCE. Excavated between 1955-1960, it is a historic port-town with ruins that can be visited separately from the nearby museum. The site includes an ancient ship dock and acropolis, and takes only about an hour to see. Although guides are scarce due to low visitation rates, it is a peaceful place with easy walking paths.

Around 4500 year old. Ancient civilisation and how they leave all idea you will get after visiting this place. At that time small ship were there which park on port.
At this time museum is closed for renovation as they are making new museum and will inaugurate that in next some months.

'A Tranquil Gem with Historical Significance'
I visited this historic site during Diwali holidays and was pleasantly surprised by the lack of crowds. Most visitors seemed unaware of its true historical significance – it's the world's oldest intact dockyard and port. However, the museum is currently undergoing demolition to make way for a new maritime heritage complex set to open by the end of 2024.
Beyond the remnants of the ancient town and dockyard, the highlight was the incredible bird life in the prime grassland surroundings. Birds of prey and various avian species frequent nearby village ponds, offering a peaceful retreat for nature enthusiasts.
The facilities, including clean restrooms and available water, enhance the overall experience. Just remember to bring your own food, as there are no eating options in the vicinity. If you appreciate history and enjoy tranquility, this place is a must-visit. Check out a few photos from my recent trip.

This site is separate from the museum and its open from morning to evening every day and it's timings are not related to the museum next door.
The site is not very big and it'll take an hour or so to cover all the points. The biggest attraction is the ancient ship dock and the acropolis. It's a peaceful place and it's not very difficult to walk. It's almost impossible to get a guide because it is not visited by lot of people. The museum is closed because of the upcoming National Maritime Museum project and no one knows when it will open. Make sure to carry enough water and food because there are no shops around. There's enough parking space and there are good toilets as well.

An ancient place. Well kept place. But hard to understand and imagine the culture and city of those(old) days. Govt should keep proper hoarding or a guide to describe each place. Road joining high way to Lothal is single and not maintained properly. There is a museum but it is shut for visitors for one and a half year(guard told us). It remains open from 8 am to 5 pm except Friday for visitors. Morning time is best to visit.

Marvelous heritage remains seems so realistic that we can relate it to modern construction even after 5000 years. What a feeling it was! Amazed by seeing such a neat and precise construction of walls, rooms. It feels like nothing has changed even in this age, we are still following the same methods they used to build.

Do not visit it if you are not an archeologist by yourself.
The site is still under development and too difficult to find. The museum is closed until the development work finishes, which seems to take too long. All you are left with is the relics of the Hadappa sanskriti, which are dying slowly. There are no sign boards with details to explain what is what. All you see is some structures with bricks.
The government doesn't seem to really care for the relics as the site seems quite abandoned. Anyone can go and destroy or steal things easily.
Parking is closed forever and having some weeds with a closed door.
The site is at distant location. It's too tough to reach here because of bad roads, no clear sign boards and abandoned area. You will have nobody to ask. Even if you come across anyone they will hardly know the way. Google is correct but the road's condition will get your joints displaced.
Even after reading this you want to go there best of luck.

Place is very nice for your curiosity and child education regarding Harappan civilization.
Very poorly maintained.
Museum is closed for maintenance since 2 yrs.
No sign boards to reach there. Poor roads.
Not clean toilets.
No guide service even if you r ready to pay. And you will not understand anything without guide or Google search. There is no description boards at site.
Seems government is not interested on site though spending a lot in advertising rather.
Nobody is present there to care this valuable property.
Very poor governance 😔

Knowing Indus Valley (Harrapan) Civilisation [Saraswati-Sidhu Civilisation] has always facinated me. Isn’t touching and seeing 4000-5000 years of history an amazing thing to experience? Though I happened to have seen it’s pottery, beads ornaments etc. in museums yet couldn’t visit any of it’s site till yesterday.
So, I travelled back in time and visited Harappan port-town of LOTHAL [2500-1900BC] (meaning 'The City of Dead') located along the Bhogava river, a tributary of Sabarmati, in the Gulf of Khambat (near Bhavnagar, Gujarat). It is one of the ancient known ports on an ocean.
The city of Lothal had a very complex drainage system which collected waste from every private house of the city to dump it to a central sump outside of the city.
The massive dockyard, which is the world's earliest known dock and it was probably the greatest work of maritime architecture. This was the earliest known dock found in the world, equipped to berth and service ships. The city got developed as the most important port and a center of the bead industry, gems and valuable ornaments that flourished until 1900 BC. These products reached the far corners of West Asia and Africa.
Truely, the city was much more ahead of it’s time!
Note: Museum is closed for renovation. Guide is not available. The road to reach here is also not in best conditions and is under repair.

Lothal is an archaeological site located in the state of Gujarat, India. It was an important city of the ancient Indus Valley Civilization, dating back to around 2400 BCE. The name "Lothal" means "Mound of the Dead" in Gujarati.
Lothal was a major center for trade and commerce, known for its advanced urban planning, dockyards, and an elaborate drainage system. It was strategically situated along the ancient trade routes, connecting the region with Mesopotamia and other parts of the Indus Valley.
The city had a well-planned layout with residential and industrial areas. One of the notable features of Lothal is its dockyard, which is considered one of the earliest known in the world. The dock provided access to the nearby Sabarmati River, facilitating trade and maritime activities.
Lothal's decline is believed to be linked to changes in the course of the river and the gradual decline of the Indus Valley Civilization. The site was rediscovered in the 1950s, and extensive excavations have provided valuable insights into the social, economic, and technological aspects of this ancient civilization.
TECHY AAKASH — Google review
Lothal is situated near the village of Saragwala in the Dholka Taluka of Ahmedabad district. It is six kilometres south-east of the Lothal-Bhurkhi railway station on the Ahmedabad-Bhavnagar railway line. It is also connected by all-weather roads to the cities of Ahmedabad (85 km/53 mi), Bhavnagar, Rajkot and Dholka. The nearest cities are Dholka and Bagodara. Resuming excavation in 1961, archaeologists unearthed trenches sunk on the northern, eastern and western flanks of the mound, bringing to light the inlet channels and nullah ("ravine", or "gully") connecting the dock with the river. The findings consist of a mound, a township, a marketplace, and the 'dock'. Adjacent to the excavated areas stands the Archaeological Museum, where some of the most prominent collections of Harappa-era antiquities in India are displayed.

A Glimpse into Ancient History
As history enthusiasts, we recently had the opportunity to visit Lothal - archaeological remains of a Harappa Port Town. We were very excited to explore the ancient site for a long time and we were excited to learn about the Indus Valley Civilization.
The site's well-preserved ruins of the brickwork, including the bead factory, town area, and famous dockyard. Though there are name boards for the sites, however, informative explainer boards are missing, and this surely is an improvement that is very much needed.
The museum is currently under renovation otherwise the experience would have been even better.
Nonetheless, the potential of Lothal as a historical destination is undeniable. With the completion of the museum's renovation and ample information boards around the site, we are sure that future visitors will have a much more enriched experience.
Time spent(without museum) ~ 1 hour

Very clean, very well maintained. Dining room had table service, very fast and nice. Elevator for all floors but no disabled friendly entrance - must climb stairs to enter the property. Elevator also stops at floors in random uneven manner - it could be too low or Toor high, never stops level with the floor.
Management are great. Very friendly polite and helpful service. Nice rooms, clean, TV, air-conditioning. En-suite bathrooms were surprisingly nice too, very clean, showergel/shampoo/soap provided. Very modern toilets and showers. Actually a lovely shower head, unexpectedly great bathrooms.
Definitely needs a disability entrance.

Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Ahmedabad (Kalupur)
The land for construction of this first shrine of Swaminarayan Sampraday, was gifted by the British Imperial Government. The task of constructing this pilgrimage place was entrusted personally by Lord Swaminarayan to Ananandand Swami.
This was the first temple of the Swaminarayan Sampraday constructed as per scriptural norms with intricate carving in pure Burma-teak and constructed with sculptural art by depicting deities' episodes, auspicious symbols and religious icons representing axiomatic religion and Indian culture. The temple is believed to be a valuable cultural heritage in the socio-religious history of Gujarat and India.
The installation ceremony of the murti forms in the temple was celebrated in the presence of thousands of pilgrims representing many parts of India.
Besides the Gods in the main temple, an idol in the form of a child, Ghanshyam Maharaj has been installed in a place called Akshar Bhavan, where personal items of Swaminarayan have been displayed for viewing by the visitors and devotees. An idol of Ghanshyam Maharaj has been installed in a place called the Rang Mahol in the temple where Swaminarayan stayed during his Ahmedabad visits. Besides the worshipable deities of the main temple, it is also housing the sculptures of Swaminarayan.
The Haveli (Mansion) to the west of the temple used to be the official residence of Acharya of the Uttar Desh.
The ground floor of the front side, houses the offices and the inner portion accommodates the residency of the Samkhya Yogi women. In the inner temple, the Gadiwalla (the Acharya Maharajshri's wife & spiritual leader of the females in the Swaminarayan Sampraday) holds religious assemblies solely for the benefit of the females. An idol of Ghanshyam Maharaj has been installed in this temple and is served by the Sankhya Yogi female devotees.

With its architecture based on Burma teak wood, every coloured arch and bracket is a bright different shade, something that stands out in most Swaminarayan temples.
Even the British were impressed by its architecture so they gave a cannon salute as a mark of respect........
Special thanks to Umang Nayak of Heritagewalk Ahmedabad for amazing experience......

Recently I visited this Shree Swaminarayan Mandir, Kalupur, Old City, Ahmedabad. This is the world's first Lord Swaminarayan temple and it was build before 200 years ago. It was my first visit to this temple but, what an infrastructure it is. Traffic was the only issue but felt worth it when you stand opposite the murti of Nar Narayan dev. I took prasad also and really so tasty & satvik. This temple is the heritage property and also the city's starting Point of HERITAGE WALK. Must visit place...

This temple is inside an army cantt named Hanuman cantt hence we are not allowed to enter with your personal vehicle which needs to be parked just outside the cantonment. This is very popular in Ahmedabad and nearby areas. Bring a photo ID proof for entry in the main gate . And come wearing proper dress like half pant and Bermudas are not allowed. Among all the gates entry is allowed only from gate no 2.

Kankaria Lake is a large artificial lake in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. It has an island with a beautiful summer palace that goes by the name Ghattamandal. The lake is a popular tourist attraction and contains many attractions like an amusement park, adrenaline attractions, and parks.
The place is so nice and clean even there are lots of visitors so good work done by cleaning staff. Lot of things to do around. Lot of food stalls. However some of the old monuments and attractions need some renovation and maintenance.

The entry fee for the lake is Rs 10 per person. It is better to scan the QR code present at the entry gate and buy the tickets for the lake and the zoo to avoid the hassle of standing in a queue.
Ample parking is available from Rs. 90 onwards.
There is a lot of activities that one can enjoy with friends and family, starting from visiting the zoo, boating, haunted house etc. Visit the lake on weekdays to avoid the crowd.
Drinking water and washrooms are also available. There are also some decent eating joints.

Vast expanse to spend some, alone time😁 though I would prefer it to be more quiet.🔇🔕😶🤫
The authorities should ensure that the lake is maintained clean. The least they can do is to educate or penalize the unruly public who litter their surroundings. There are enough trash cans, yet these plastic bottles end up in the lake.
Boat riding is a very short lived experience for a 130rs ticket.
Trams look attractive that facilitates a whole view of this place in a leisurely manner.
Towards evening, it is excessively crowded and noisy.
Good place to hang out with your friends, family or even just yourself 😁.
It was raining heavily and thus I was spared of a huge rush that we usually witness on weekends.
Entry fee is 20 rs.
Boat riding is not that satisfactory for an amount of rs130. Just a quick round, and it's over in the wink of an eye.
The overall view of the whole river front is aesthetically very good. There are many food chains where you can treat yourself to yummy food or even a softee. 😊😋🍨🍧🍦🥃
A ride in the tram is something I might try next time.

Pros: The lake and surrounding infrastructure has developed a lot since I lasted visited the place 20 years ago. There are a lot of things for kids to play and watch.
Cons: Complicated ticketing process as tickets need to be purchased at various points - entrance, zoo, rides etc. Parking facility is inconvenient and not developed at all. The condition of zoo animals and enclosures are poor. We saw the skinniest Lion ever! And finally, there was no drinking water in the zoo and the facilities including toilets were not clean.

The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), known colloquially as the Hare Krishna movement or Hare Krishnas, is a Gaudiya Vaishnava religious organization. ISKCON was founded in 1966 in New York City by A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. Alfred Ford is one of the prominent patrons.
Its core beliefs are based on Hindu scriptures, particularly the Bhagavad Gita and the Bhagavata Purana. ISKCON is "the largest and, arguably, most important branch" of Gaudiya Vaishnava tradition, which has had adherents in India since the early 16th century and American and European devotees since the early 1900s. ISKCON was formed to spread the practice of Bhakti yoga, the practice of love of God in which those involved (bhaktas) dedicate their thoughts and actions towards pleasing Krishna, whom they consider the Supreme Lord. Its most rapid expansion in membership have been within India and (after the collapse of the Soviet Union) in Russia and other formerly Soviet-aligned states of Eastern Europe.
ISKCON devotees follow a disciplic line of Brahma Madhva Gaudiya Bhagavata Vaishnavas and are the largest branch of Gaudiya Vaishnavism. Vaishnavism means 'worship of Vishnu', and Gauḍa refers to the area where this particular branch of Vaishnavism originated, in the Gauda region of West Bengal. Gaudiya Vaishnavism has had a following in India, especially West Bengal and Odisha, for the past five hundred years. Gaudiya Vaishnavism was founded by the saint Chaitanya Mahaprabhu who rapidly spread his form of ecstatic bhakti (devotion) throughout Bengal. He established Sankirtan, the practice of publicly expressing devotion to Lord Krishna, the Supreme God, through dance and song. This form of communal worship responded to rigid caste structures by engaging all people in worship regardless of caste and creed. Chaitanya emphasized chanting the Hare Krishna Mahamantra (the 'great mantra'). He is considered by Gaudiya Vaishnavas to be an incarnation of Krishna himself.

ISKON TEMPLE also known as SHRI SHRI RADHA DAMODAR MANDIR is simply the BEST temple of Shri Radha-Krishna in surat.
Located just beside TAPI RIVER, it is wholesome place which can magically heal any stress, anxiety, depression.
All you need to do is just go there and SING BHAJAN or DANCE with others during arti.
On Sunday Night ARTI start at around 6:30PM and ends around 7:30PM.
Every Sunday they serve PRASADAM(KHICHDI-KADHI) to everyone who goes there.
This temple also has its own restaurant which serves healty and quality food.
You must taste 'VADA', available near the entrance. Vada are so tasty that sometimes people specially pay a visit for them.
The Temple, its arti and its Prasadam is so lovely that this place is usually OVERWHELMED by devotees during weekends and festivals.
Specifically, listening to Bhajans during Arti and seeing all the devotees dancing and singing together automatically cheers you up.
Just go with the flow and you will feel like shri Krishna is also dancing with you.

Iskcon Temple Surat is one of the main tourist attraction for the devotees who believe in Lord Krishna and Lord Rama.
If you're taking a private Auto (Rickshaw) from Surat Railway Station, they'll charge you minimum ₹150-₹180 single way.
There's no entrance fee to visit this temple.
It has a giant compund where devotees can stand easily and spend time. However, Prasadam counter & souvieneir counter I found it ok and not attractive as compared with other Iskcon Temple from different cities.
Prasadam like Laddu and other food items you get it for minimum ₹20 onwards.
It is one of the best religious place to worship. Inside the temple the ambience and the preachings are designed and presented in detail. Kids will find it very attractive to understand the culture.

I had heard a lot about this place. So I went here during my one visit to Surat with my friends. The entry was not free it is Rs 100 per person. We were four friends. It has all kinds of fish packed in different different aquarium. It also has one large aquarium for shark although that was not so big. It has tortoise as well. Every type of fish was in different aquarium. The size of aquarium was sufficiently large and the variety of fish was too many. It was very nice seeing all kinds of fishes. It has a walk way and aquarium was on the side of the walls. This place was worth visiting. This one is the nice place in Surat. So pay a visit in your next trip to Surat.

The ticket price for adults is Rs. 100 good place to visit one time. Must go with the kids too because there are so many different types of fish that are there in display, and also, there are turtles. There are also sharks to see and a huge skeleton of the whale fish there. Parking and all facilities are good here. 👍

A beautiful place to visit with friends and family! For adults it costs around 100 per person. Washroom facilities could be better. But overall it was full of surprises, excitement and calmness.. all together ✨ some name tags are absent, so you don't get to know what fish is there inside at times. But there are a variety of fish and you'll definitely not get bored.

Wonderful place to visit with family. Well maintained, kids loved the overall experience. Ample place for car parking. The centralized AC was switched off owing to pandemic and inadequate ventilation caused some discomfort. Otherwise the overall experience was wonderful.

I found Rs. 100 ticket for an adult to be expensive, but on the other hand the aquarium was good. Loved the different types of fishes in it. The illusion glass is something new, as you move towards the glass, your head will take a spin . The corner big thanks that shows the underwater ecosystem is wonderful.
There were sharks , eels, starfish, tortoises and a variety of big fishes and a variety of small fishes. In just under 30 minutes , you'll finish the whole aquarium.

Well maintained, and easy to navigate through, this aquarium has 2 section upper is for fresh water fish and lower section for marine biodiversity (an attempt to replicate deep sea ecosystem) ,there is warning for hypoxic conditions in lower section

. Would have given full 5 Star, but the maintenance is not acceptable - the facilities are available.
. The Whale skeleton kept outside is not photographically optimum.
. Most of the operational water chambers are clean and good for the camera.
. Better to use high speed shutter for fast moving fishes (1/400 to 800) - then edit a bit
. ❌ Toilet is very badly maintained.
. A few chambers are kept empty.
. Overall good as the largest Aquarium of Gujarat!
. The building really looks huge from outside.
♿ ✅ Fully accessible with wheelchair available on request.

The Aquarium is nice, hosts a variety of water species and is fun to visit. However it looks like they are not maintaining the place well, considering the ₹100 entry fee. Interiors look shaby, fish-tanks are not well maintained, PAS (audio announcement system) is barely audible, Information panels are not updated or missing, not a single personnel to be seen once you enter the area!
This place can be transformed into a very attractive tourist spot by adding some shows and making new additions from time-to-time.
Tank containing Shark is quite huge, but not maintained.
The premise is quite large, enough parking available, however again the place looks less maintained and not so attractive.
Good for visiting and checking out the water world!

Dakshinamoorthy Temple
EME Temple, Vadodara
Short for Electrical and Mechanical Corps, in honour of the people who built the temple, the EME Temples is a symbol of the secularity practised in the Indian Army, the EME Temple in Vadodara is an aluminium-clad abode, constructed at the intersection of ancient and modern.
Also known as the Dakshinamurthy temple, it primarily houses a massive idol of Lord Shiva, along with a miniature Lord Ganesha (specially brought in from Mahabalipuram). There is also a silver arch with the holy words "Om Namah Shivaya" engraved on it.
It is a popular opinion among archaeologists that this temple is unique regarding its design, concept and geodesic design covered with war scraps and aluminium sheets. The unique aspect is how the temple supports secularism by incorporating holy symbols from every religion in its structure. The Kalash on the top symbolises Hinduism. The Dome signifies Islam. The Tower represents Christianity. The Golden-structure above the tower expresses Buddhism. The Entrance stands for Jainism.
Built in classic geodesic architecture, the EME Temple is a perfect illustration of the values that are the foundation of the Indian Army. On the outside of the structure are carvings of holy symbols from various religions. Each substructure of the building is representative of a different faith –
The 'Kalash' on top of the dome symbolises Hinduism
The dome is found in the design of mosques, thus representing Islam
The tower is symbolic of Christianity
The golden cap above the tower represents Buddhism
The main gateway of the temple ropes in the Jain way
Rules to be followed when you visit EME Temple
1. Valid ID proof of at least one member of the group/family is needed for entry.
2. It may remain closed on Tuesday evenings so do check before going.
3. Mobile phones and cameras are not allowed.
4. Pets are not allowed in the temple premises.

The 'priests' here are also military men. It is on the campus of EME School, admission is free. But ID proof is required. Its construction is of a very unique and secular type. Its ‘kalash’ represents Hinduism, the tower represents Christianity, the dome represents Islam, the golden top represents Buddhism, the entrance represents Jainism. This is a unique place to visit.

EME Temple.
EME : Electrical Mechanical Engineering is a supporting arm of the Indian Army.
Photography is not permitted. So, we did not take any. Photos given here are with the permission and courtesy of my brother-in-law Col V V Naik of EME.
At the gate, we had to show our I card to gain entry. We showed our AF cards but any proof of id like Aadhar is sufficient to enter.
The temple is located in a calm quiet and serene spot on the campus amid a copse of large trees and a well-maintained garden. The atmosphere is quite soothing.
A dome of aluminium alloy and a rectangular tapering tower draws your attention. The design of the dome is called a geodesic structure.
As per the information boards displayed at the temple, the idea and concept as well as its construction were carried out under the guidance and supervision of an earlier Commandant of EME School, Brig AF Eugine who was a Christian. It was built solely by “Shramdan” (volunteer labour) by the officers and men of the EME school. No government funds were utilised.
Even though a south-facing idol of Lord Shiva is installed this Dakshnishewr Shiva temple is a symbol of secularism. This is reflected in its architecture and design.
The dome is Islamic in character, The Kasha on top of the dome represents Hinduism, the spire-like tapering rectangular tower represents Christianity, the small golden structure on top of this tower indicates Buddhism, the entrance reflects Jainism and lastly the fire in the temple depicts Zoroastrianism.
An added attraction is the large number of beautifully engraved ancient and historical statues obtained by the engineers in aid of diggings of the Archaeological department, which have artfully been displayed in the temple premise.
Besides other, some minor temples the Amarnath Shiva installed in an artificially made cave-like structure grabs your attention. Here is a specially made and refrigerated glass case an ice shiv ling has been installed. Nicely executed idea to present an ice shiv ling akin to one at Amarnath.
Spent a delightful time going through smaller shrines, the Shiv Gufa, looking at all the beautiful 6 th and 7 th century statues of various gods, rishis and apsara’s.
Left with nice feeling.
12 photos sent by Vijay, all are given here.

Moreover, it is very well maintained, and a lot of things about the heritage of Indian culture.
Apart from this, the food was too delicious and the staff is very polite and humble. I think every person should watch these heritage sites. It is a very great experience. I loved it. ❤️

Overall worth visiting once.

Marked by its phenomenally rich heritage, this palace is a gem waiting to be explored. The moment you get to the ticket counter, you will be helped with a mp3 player and earphones (audio available in 4-5 language option) which becomes your personal guide as you take the tour along this Mammoth palace. The experience of this palace like none other, untouched quaint architecture, huge corridors and palatial vibes take your breath away.
The armoury room has a plethora of collections dating back a couple of centuries. The cafe within the vicinity is a lovely place to unwind while you're immersed in the royal vibes of the palace. Getting to the palace is easy, you'd easily find auto rickshaws that would take you to the palace.
Do not miss spending some time at the majestic courtroom, the grandeur of the handcrafted carpers, and royal chandeliers are sure going to take you back to the days of the maharaja's rule.

1. A grand & majestic Palace. What a great piece of construction & art work done inside & outside of the palace.
2. While seeing such fantastic palaces, one wonders, was India actually a poor country emote Independence?
3. Well, the audio guided tour is good in which every person is provided with ear plugs & a device with multiple language options.
4. Monday the palace is closed, balance days open till 1730hrs. A considerable amount of effort has been put to maintain the artifacts inside the palace. However, scope of improvement is still there to maintain the outer structure.

The place is awesome. Guards are polite and welcoming, also guide us if we ask about some place we didn't reach as per audio. I love to visit such royal and nostalgic places. Everything in it I love to see and listen to the history of this place. The paintings, carvings of each and every statue, details of interior and exterior everything is proof of how creative and professional artists were supposed to be in our past days. The aura of the sword room made me feel like how strong and powerful the King must be in that time who have been fighting for protection of their people. I was amazed and wanted to take a sword in my own hand and practice some fighting moves but obviously that is not possible for now as I'm not VVIP I don't know either if the VVIPS get to touch it but isn't it obvious if the queen and king of the palace allow someone to touch it then they will 100% try to take the sword in hand, my dream is to do such practice with the original. I have deducted 1 star because in the palace everywhere it's mentioned that photo and video is prohibited inside the palace and it is but foreigners were taking the photos freely and none of the guards stopped them to do so, I was disappointed to see that why the normal people of India are not allowed to take photos in there but the outside people are freely talking it why? Only if I guess they are supposed to pay more than I can consider the palace should charge more from the foreigner if they want to click pictures inside the palace and if they don't want to pay extra for the photos they must not get the picture inside.

You can click photos from u mobile only outside the place. Clicking photos inside the palace is not allowed.

Iconic tourist spot of the city. Went there for the first time after living in the city for about 15 years.
Entry fees is 250 per person which didn't quite feel worth it. Should have been 150 or maximum 200. Being a heavy traveller, this place didn't feel as amazing as other old and iconic places I've visited across India.
4-5 rooms, cafe and garden front view are the only thing to be covered. Couldn't get the audio kit as we entered in the last 1 hour and queue management wasn't great.
If you're bringing some guest, would rather suggest a combo ticket for 2 places + lunch.
Big con:
1. No pictures allowed inside the palace so moments cannot be captured.
2. Weapon room which is the best part is a medium sized room so can feel crowded if 20+ people enter it at once.
3. The Cafe didn't have water bottle available, which was surprising considering its open during day time when people might be thirsty
What I liked:
The washroom looks old school and is pretty well maintained.

One of best palaces after Rajasthan obviously, I have ever seen. The movie,"Satya Prem Ki Katha" have been shooted there. But one has to admit that the palace needs some more maintenance too. The audio aid is helpful to know the historical references. Without it the visit would be a mere seeing not the experiencing one. There is a small cafe in the palace. In summer time this is very helpful for the visitors. Who have survived the heat in Baroda, would know why I am saying so. The sculptures are very interesting and intriguing. To know the heritage and history of Baroda one must visit this palace of Gaekwads ancestry.

Rich history.
Quality of audio book is also good.
Takes approx a little more than 1 hour to complete the tour.
Must see site if u ever come to Vadodra.
For Indian citizens it's 250 bucks per head.
They also have lunch and dinner facilities.
Everything can be pre-booked online.
They also have a mini cafeteria with amazing upside down pineapple cake. Loved it.
I went on a rainy day so the weather was very pleasant and the pics turned out very well.

The entrance ticket is 250 per person and for 375 you can buy a combo for Fatehsingh Museum too (which has far better things to see from historical point of view). For palace the entrance is gate 2 and for museum it's gate 3. There's no way to walk to the museum from the palace despite both being in the same compound. Photography is allowed only outside and very small portion of palace is open to visit. The guards constantly whistle at visitors. It doesn't give you feeling of tourist place with so many restrictions and rules.

Well, this is a huge Property, one of the historical monuments of Baroda & a must visit place to understand the history of Baroda.
Unfortunately, the palace needs maintenance, improvements & upkeep. I was not impressed with the state of this palace that we witnessed. Even though it’s a beautiful, the place needs some serious uplifting.
It takes 2-3 hours to check it out. The best thing is they provide a free audio guide to get detailed explanation of every place in this palace.

It's an amazing palace to see.
Situated on side of Jail road of Baroda.
Vast parking available free of cost.
One has to buy tickets from counter.
One can buy it for palace entry as well as museum entry. Museum is far away from palace.
On entry to palace, one is given ear plugs for listening to audio describing different sections of the palace. It is available in different languages.
Inside palace, different sections are there used by King for specific reasons.
Arms and Ammunition section was so amazing to see.
Architecture was so eye catching.
It was an amazing experience to watch the heritage articles.
It requires atleast 2 hrs to visit palace.
Outside palace, a large golf course is there which is not for visitors.
I could not visit museum due to time constraints but feel it to be best just like palace.
Clean washroom facility available.
Tea coffee and snacks are available inside.

One of the finest place to visit with friends and family. I was here to attend an Local Guide Coummunity. The meeting was held at LVP Hall. It has a great capacity to handle 200 people at time. The food quality is at its peak with the beautiful view of nature.
Ticketing experience: There was an option of purchasing tickets online. Filled all details on their website and paid it through credit card.
Money got cut and tickets didn't get generated.
When informed about the issue in ticket booking counter, clerk took it casual as a know issue and asked to proceed to entry. If I would have thought there is a bank issue and purchased the tickets again I would have lost dearly.Tickets cost you around ₹250 per adult and ₹150 per kid.

A good place to visit while at Vadodara.
The visitors are allowed in a small part of the Palace. Different rooms have different exhibits, which are well kept and labelled.
A complimentary audio guide helps you understand the exhibits. You have to choose the language - English, Hindi or Marathi. Photography is allowed only outside but not inside.
You can see the exhibits at your own pace. Please allow about 2 hours.
I would certainly recommend a visit to the Palace when in Vadodara.

Positives:
- The palace is great and wonderful. It clearly shows how Kings used to live, it's massive.
- Once you enter the building you will be directed to the office, where you can get the audio device which will guide you through. The devices are available in English, Hindi and Marathi.
- Cleanliness and lighting is enough to see the artifacts and paintings etc. They have different rooms on the ground floor open for visiting which the audio device will help you with.
- You can do a lot of photography with the external view of this palace.
- Very quiet and serene. There is a golf course too, but I don't think we can visit that part.
- The place has a small restaurant/canteen where you can have something to eat/drink.
- There is a room full of weapons which have been used in a war. The audio device describes in details about some of the weapons which helps a lot.
Negatives:
- They charge a good amount but the visitors are only allowed on ground floor, rest it closed for visitors.
- It will take you some time to understand how your audio device works, without it you will just roam around and see things.
- DSLR's are now allowed, but phone cameras are. This did not make sense.
- Pigeons are messing up various statues and they need to clean those.
If you are visiting on weekend it will be a little crowded and you will have to wait for your turn to click your photos.
Parking is ample and free.
Ticket cost us Rs. 250/- per person on Sunday.
Verdict: I would not suggest anyone to drive miles just to see this place. But if you are around, do pay a visit. A little more maintenance is required.

This is gem that is less known in the country. Located in the city of Kayavarohan, the Lakulish Shiv Temple is a hindu temple dedicated to lord Shiva.
The temple walls have intricate carvings (many resembles to those from the walls of Khajuraho temples). The temple is clean and peaceful place with nice garden and fountains.
Don't miss the moksha dham at the underground of the temple. It has brahma lok and visnu lok with shiva lok at the temple sanctum.

It's beautiful temple. You can spend hours sitting here. Very peaceful environment. Ample parking space even for four wheelers. A big campus. Simple food and tea stalls outside the temple. No much shopping options. Idea place for the devotees of Lord Shiva. Must visit place.

There are washrooms and hand/foot washing area before the entry to the temple. There is also dedicated parking place at the entry gate to the temple.
One can book specific puja at the counter or by registering online.

Visiting the Shiv temple was an awe-inspiring experience that left me feeling spiritually rejuvenated. From the moment I stepped foot inside, the atmosphere exuded a sense of tranquility and serenity that immediately put my mind at ease. The temple's architecture, with its intricate carvings and magnificent statues of Lord Shiva, showcased the rich heritage and devotion of the devotees. The fragrance of incense and the soft chants of prayers created a peaceful ambiance that felt truly divine.

The Kayavrohan Lakulish Shiv Temple is located at Kayavrohan village, on the outskirts of Vadodara City.
It is located approximately 21 km from Vadodara, Gujarat.
Very peaceful and positive atmosphere around the temple.
There are two Lok, first is Brahmlok and second is Vishnulok they are located underground part of the temple.
I would like to recommend that to visit once to get blessings and peace.

Ancient Shiva temple in the lap of nature. At the time of our visit the atmosphere was damn beautiful. Visited enroute nareshwar to Por , while returning to Baroda. Spend few minutes sitting there admiring the nature.

Ancient temple with a unique shivaling, has a deep history of its existence, has lot of carvings. The temple is situated in a huge premise, with facilities of washrooms, bookstore, canteen, sitting arrangements and even play area for kids. A very peaceful place to discover oneself, even sitting for 10-15 minutes in the temple will give you soothing and positive vibes

A beautiful place about 30 km from Vadodara Railway Station. This temple is beautifully built and is well maintained. The place is very serene and spacious. There are lots of greenery and parks surrounding the temple are well maintained. There is also a place for Yoga where you can also see hundreds of pictures of various aasanas of yoga. Temple is located on main road and location is quite nice. Outside temple there are a few small shops where you can get tea and snacks. Maintenance can be further improved to make it even a better place. Washrooms are quite dirty which need better cleaning. Overall a very nice place which you should visit.

Well maintained and a beautiful Shiva temple.
There is sufficient car parking facility within the premise. The temple area is quite green and open to stroll around. A big play area is there along with lawn to sit and relax. Must visit to get blessings and keep the place clean.

Rang Avadhoot Maharaj Temple in Nareshwar is a spiritual place for worship located on the bank of Narmada river, which also falls on the route of Narmada Parikrama. This temple is known for its serene and divine atmosphere and offers neat and clean ghats for puja. The temple campus also includes rooms for night stay. The location provides an excellent view of the Narmada river, with parking facilities available nearby.
Rang Avdhoot Ashram is located on the bank of river Narmada at village Nareshvar. It is a divine place and has a temple of Rang Avdhoot Maharaj. The devotees do the Narmada Snan after the darshan. There is a huge parking space for buses and cars. A beautiful divine place one must visit at least once.

Samadhi Place of shree Rang Avdhut bapa.
This is the place where Duttbavni was written.
Very under rated place on bank of Narmada and this is also on a Route of Narmada Parikrama.
Neat and clean Ghat for pujan.
Mandir parisar is also very divine and live.
They also offers rooms facilities for night stay in the campus itself.
Very spiritual place to worship.

It's a beautiful holly place.
Just need to make more slopes so specially-abled people can visit the place without any problem. Need to plant more trees and need an open shady seating area. It will be helpful to people specifically on festival days.
There are so many monkeys which can follow you so be careful, especially when you have some food.

Nestled amidst nature's embrace, this spiritual haven transcends the mundane, captivating hearts and souls with its ethereal beauty. As I stepped foot into this sacred sanctuary, a serene tranquility washed over me, embracing me in its gentle embrace. The air whispered ancient wisdom, and the surroundings pulsated with a divine energy that resonated deep within. The harmonious symphony of chanting voices echoed through the air, infusing the atmosphere with a profound sense of reverence. Each step I took, I felt closer to something greater, something intangible yet palpable. This spiritual place is a sacred gateway where the ordinary transcends into the extraordinary, leaving an indelible mark on every visitor's soul.

I visited this temple in 2018 which was so wonderful. But now they have built a new statue and hide the original samadhi. Also there was less water in narmada. The temple guys must clean the stairs of narmada river.

On the bank of Narmada River... A spiritual & peaceful place. You may feel the positive vibration here and the Nareshwar trust maintains this divine place as it is. It is possible only because the place is situated very far from the reach of normal tourists. Therefore this place is saved from them and the devotees of Shree Rang Avdhoot Maharaaj were unique and they mostly obey the words of their Guru.
Shree Gaurudev Datt... 🙏💐

Though less hygenic toilets have been observed, the place is awesome. Narmada river is too near and anyone can enjoy by bathing there.

Disgusting beach... Dirty to the core. Avoid Avoid Avoid. Better stay home than come to this place. Pathetic.. Go and worship the lord in the temple and come back. Don't go to the beach

Nice place to find peace of mind, as large aera to setting without any disturbance also a Narmada River to swim for long hours.
But you can go deep into water on your own risk 😆😜

Very aesthetic place. Nice view of Narmada river. Vadodara about 50 kilometers. With parking facility. Best place to relax and meditate. But to reach near the river, we need to go downhill which is difficult for senior citizens. Same while going upwards. Excellent view. Camel and horse rides also there.

Ajwa Garden is a popular destination for families and thrill-seekers alike. The park offers a variety of rides, a theme park adventure, and a fountain park for leisurely evenings. While some visitors find the entry fee to be on the higher side, the 17 available rides provide ample entertainment for spending quality time with kids. Additionally, the village set known as "Apno Gom" is worth exploring for relaxation.

It's good place to go. We visited on Sunday. Almost all adults rides are working on that day. We read in many comments most of the rides are under maintenance but we were lucky.
450 rs ticket are only available after 2pm.
We didn't visit water park. So I can't comment on that.
You can also pay using upi.
Food is not good there. They have to work on food quality.3-4 food outlets were closed.

Very nice place for kids, youngsters n family. There r rides, theme park adventure for young blood n fountain park for leisure in evening. However the prize for the entry is too high for per person it's same for kids too of 9 yr old. It's 950 rs.
They claim they hv 17 rides but it's not these many. But enough for spending time with kids. A must watch here is apno gom which a village set meant for resting. All in all one time good visit for u. Carry a extra clothes if u wish to go for a roller coaster ride as it crashes on a water at ground making u wet 😃

Vadodara got its first ever wonderful adventure park, named AATAPI WONDERLAND.
It is the recreation of Ajwa Garden.
This place somewhat matches with the standard of foreign amusement parks and it is improving day by day by adding new rides and attractions in the park. Along with that, they are maintaining and improving the quality of experience too that is much more important.
This place has a water park too in this amusing adventure park.
Moreover, this place has food and snacks of good quality with quantity. You can find everything everywhere.
It's a wonderful experience for people of all ages.

5* for service and staff.
The issue is when you buy fast track tickets other guests will be unhappy with you. They don't know about fast track tickets and they fight with you and operators.
Management should place banners everywhere so others know about fast track tickets and allow buyers to go first.

Infrastructure of the amusement park is good but management of park is not good. No one is there to guide about their system. Too much waiting time for every ride. Cleanliness is not proper. Toilet and washroom are smelling badly. No proper changing room for Mens. Not recommended any one to go with kids at this park. Charges are also too much higher than it should be. Very bad management. Not happy with this
