Lothal is an archaeological site of the Indus Valley civilization dating back to 3700 BCE. Excavated between 1955-1960, it is a historic port-town with ruins that can be visited separately from the nearby museum. The site includes an ancient ship dock and acropolis, and takes only about an hour to see. Although guides are scarce due to low visitation rates, it is a peaceful place with easy walking paths.
Very calm n peaceful place, must visit once, make sure to visit before 12 noon and after 4 in evening as it will be too hot temperature and not enough shades available... Entry is free., Parking is also free, also if want to visit museum that also a good choice with a nominal ticket price 5 or 10 per head. We dont have pics of that as at that time it was closes due to renovation work... Do visit this historic place of India.. Proud to be Indian...

Very good place to visit if you have interest in these kind of Archaeological places. It has Harappa port and town. How town was established and how they leave all things are there. Around 4500 year old. Ancient civilisation and how they leave all idea you will get after visiting this place. At that time small ship were there which park on port.
At this time museum is closed for renovation as they are making new museum and will inaugurate that in next some months.
Good place to visit and at present it is peaceful place.

'A Tranquil Gem with Historical Significance'
I visited this historic site during Diwali holidays and was pleasantly surprised by the lack of crowds. Most visitors seemed unaware of its true historical significance – it's the world's oldest intact dockyard and port. However, the museum is currently undergoing demolition to make way for a new maritime heritage complex set to open by the end of 2024.
Beyond the remnants of the ancient town and dockyard, the highlight was the incredible bird life in the prime grassland surroundings. Birds of prey and various avian species frequent nearby village ponds, offering a peaceful retreat for nature enthusiasts.
The facilities, including clean restrooms and available water, enhance the overall experience. Just remember to bring your own food, as there are no eating options in the vicinity. If you appreciate history and enjoy tranquility, this place is a must-visit. Check out a few photos from my recent trip.

This site is separate from the museum and its open from morning to evening every day and it's timings are not related to the museum next door.
The site is not very big and it'll take an hour or so to cover all the points. The biggest attraction is the ancient ship dock and the acropolis. It's a peaceful place and it's not very difficult to walk. It's almost impossible to get a guide because it is not visited by lot of people. The museum is closed because of the upcoming National Maritime Museum project and no one knows when it will open. Make sure to carry enough water and food because there are no shops around. There's enough parking space and there are good toilets as well.

I am glad to visit here. It's a well known historical place of india. one of the Earliest civilization was build here. There is a dockyard. Now it is look like a pond. This place carry historical significant of Harappan Civilization and culture. Some well you see here. If you visit here you will realize there town planning, drainage system and lot of things. Some of my words can't explain everything.

The Museum is closed for the last three years, a big disappointment on reaching there. Some pictorial depiction of the historical and other relevance is put out on boards placed properly in shade with benches to sit on too.

An ancient place. Well kept place. But hard to understand and imagine the culture and city of those(old) days. Govt should keep proper hoarding or a guide to describe each place. Road joining high way to Lothal is single and not maintained properly. There is a museum but it is shut for visitors for one and a half year(guard told us). It remains open from 8 am to 5 pm except Friday for visitors. Morning time is best to visit.

Marvelous heritage remains seems so realistic that we can relate it to modern construction even after 5000 years. What a feeling it was! Amazed by seeing such a neat and precise construction of walls, rooms. It feels like nothing has changed even in this age, we are still following the same methods they used to build.
vraj makwana — Google review
Do not visit it if you are not an archeologist by yourself.
The site is still under development and too difficult to find. The museum is closed until the development work finishes, which seems to take too long. All you are left with is the relics of the Hadappa sanskriti, which are dying slowly. There are no sign boards with details to explain what is what. All you see is some structures with bricks.
The government doesn't seem to really care for the relics as the site seems quite abandoned. Anyone can go and destroy or steal things easily.
Parking is closed forever and having some weeds with a closed door.
The site is at distant location. It's too tough to reach here because of bad roads, no clear sign boards and abandoned area. You will have nobody to ask. Even if you come across anyone they will hardly know the way. Google is correct but the road's condition will get your joints displaced.
Even after reading this you want to go there best of luck.

Place is very nice for your curiosity and child education regarding Harappan civilization.
Very poorly maintained.
Museum is closed for maintenance since 2 yrs.
No sign boards to reach there. Poor roads.
Not clean toilets.
No guide service even if you r ready to pay. And you will not understand anything without guide or Google search. There is no description boards at site.
Seems government is not interested on site though spending a lot in advertising rather.
Nobody is present there to care this valuable property.
Very poor governance 😔

Knowing Indus Valley (Harrapan) Civilisation [Saraswati-Sidhu Civilisation] has always facinated me. Isn’t touching and seeing 4000-5000 years of history an amazing thing to experience? Though I happened to have seen it’s pottery, beads ornaments etc. in museums yet couldn’t visit any of it’s site till yesterday.
So, I travelled back in time and visited Harappan port-town of LOTHAL [2500-1900BC] (meaning 'The City of Dead') located along the Bhogava river, a tributary of Sabarmati, in the Gulf of Khambat (near Bhavnagar, Gujarat). It is one of the ancient known ports on an ocean.
The city of Lothal had a very complex drainage system which collected waste from every private house of the city to dump it to a central sump outside of the city.
The massive dockyard, which is the world's earliest known dock and it was probably the greatest work of maritime architecture. This was the earliest known dock found in the world, equipped to berth and service ships. The city got developed as the most important port and a center of the bead industry, gems and valuable ornaments that flourished until 1900 BC. These products reached the far corners of West Asia and Africa.
Truely, the city was much more ahead of it’s time!
Note: Museum is closed for renovation. Guide is not available. The road to reach here is also not in best conditions and is under repair.

Lothal is an ancient archaeological site located in the western Indian state of Gujarat. It was a major Indus Valley Civilization city dating back to around 2400 BCE. Key features include a well-planned city layout, a dockyard with evidence of maritime trade, and a granary. The site provides insights into the advanced urban planning and trade practices of the Indus Valley Civilization.

Lothal is an archaeological site located in the state of Gujarat, India. It was an important city of the ancient Indus Valley Civilization, dating back to around 2400 BCE. The name "Lothal" means "Mound of the Dead" in Gujarati.
Lothal was a major center for trade and commerce, known for its advanced urban planning, dockyards, and an elaborate drainage system. It was strategically situated along the ancient trade routes, connecting the region with Mesopotamia and other parts of the Indus Valley.
The city had a well-planned layout with residential and industrial areas. One of the notable features of Lothal is its dockyard, which is considered one of the earliest known in the world. The dock provided access to the nearby Sabarmati River, facilitating trade and maritime activities.
Lothal's decline is believed to be linked to changes in the course of the river and the gradual decline of the Indus Valley Civilization. The site was rediscovered in the 1950s, and extensive excavations have provided valuable insights into the social, economic, and technological aspects of this ancient civilization.
TECHY AAKASH — Google review
Lothal is situated near the village of Saragwala in the Dholka Taluka of Ahmedabad district. It is six kilometres south-east of the Lothal-Bhurkhi railway station on the Ahmedabad-Bhavnagar railway line. It is also connected by all-weather roads to the cities of Ahmedabad (85 km/53 mi), Bhavnagar, Rajkot and Dholka. The nearest cities are Dholka and Bagodara. Resuming excavation in 1961, archaeologists unearthed trenches sunk on the northern, eastern and western flanks of the mound, bringing to light the inlet channels and nullah ("ravine", or "gully") connecting the dock with the river. The findings consist of a mound, a township, a marketplace, and the 'dock'. Adjacent to the excavated areas stands the Archaeological Museum, where some of the most prominent collections of Harappa-era antiquities in India are displayed.

A Glimpse into Ancient History
As history enthusiasts, we recently had the opportunity to visit Lothal - archaeological remains of a Harappa Port Town. We were very excited to explore the ancient site for a long time and we were excited to learn about the Indus Valley Civilization.
The site's well-preserved ruins of the brickwork, including the bead factory, town area, and famous dockyard. Though there are name boards for the sites, however, informative explainer boards are missing, and this surely is an improvement that is very much needed.
The museum is currently under renovation otherwise the experience would have been even better.
Nonetheless, the potential of Lothal as a historical destination is undeniable. With the completion of the museum's renovation and ample information boards around the site, we are sure that future visitors will have a much more enriched experience.
Time spent(without museum) ~ 1 hour

The mosque of Hazrat Sheikh Ahmed Khattu Ganj Bakhsh is a beautiful Indo-Saracenic design with an eclectic mix of Indian and non-Indian styles. It is a popular tourist destination due to its striking architecture, which is a blend of Indian and non-Indian styles.
Loved to see such an old monument still standing firmly and well maintained. Just a piece of advice, try to keep some guides who can explain a bit more about the history and can also earn their livelihood. The road leading towards the monument need some signages and widening. Parking spaces are also absent

Great very old monument. It's a beautiful place. A must visit when you come to Ahmedabad. A big talav is there but it is barren. However municipal Corporation had allocated funds for its resurrection. It is a spiritual place due to having tomb of Ahmed Shah Khattu who was a sufi saint and a very good scholar.

A great place to visit. This is a peaceful place where the architecture is wonderful. There was hardly any one present when we went there . A compulsory place to visit in ahmedabad.
Sarkhej Roza is a mosque and tomb complex located in the village of Makarba, 7 km south-west of Ahmedabad in Gujarat state, India.
Although there are many rozas across Gujarat, the Sarkhej Roza is the most revered. Sarkhej was once a prominent centre of Sufi culture in the country, where influential Sufi saint Shaikh Ahmed Ganj Baksh lived. It was on the saint's suggestion that Sultan Ahmed Shah set up his capital on the banks of the Sabarmati, a few miles away from Sarkhej.
Like many monuments built during that period, the Sarkhej Roza fused both non-Indian and Indian principles of architecture. While the ringed domes, the profusion of pillars and brackets can be claimed to follow the Islamic west Asian genre (even though they can also be found in Indian architecture itself since much before), much of the ornamentation and motifs have Indian Hindu designs. Most of the buildings do not have arches and depend on pierced stone trellises for stability. In its architecture, Sarkhej Roza is an example of the early Islamic architectural culture of the region, which fused Islamic stylistic influences from Persia with Indian Hindu and Jain features to form a composite Indo-Saracenic architectural style. The mosque, with its courtyard, creates a religious milieu; the royal connection is made through the tombs and palaces; the great tank, platforms and pavilions were used by the common man.
The complex is called "Acropolis of Ahmedabad", due to 20th century architect Le Corbusier's comparison of this complex's design to the Acropolis of Athens.

Very surprised how nice this accommodation was. It's located in a poorer area with very small tight noisy roads, which let's it down but also makes it an attractive oasis to stay at. Very clean, very well maintained. Dining room had table service, very fast and nice. Elevator for all floors but no disabled friendly entrance - must climb stairs to enter the property. Elevator also stops at floors in random uneven manner - it could be too low or Toor high, never stops level with the floor.
Management are great. Very friendly polite and helpful service. Nice rooms, clean, TV, air-conditioning. En-suite bathrooms were surprisingly nice too, very clean, showergel/shampoo/soap provided. Very modern toilets and showers. Actually a lovely shower head, unexpectedly great bathrooms.
Definitely needs a disability entrance.

Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Ahmedabad (Kalupur)
The land for construction of this first shrine of Swaminarayan Sampraday, was gifted by the British Imperial Government. The task of constructing this pilgrimage place was entrusted personally by Lord Swaminarayan to Ananandand Swami.
This was the first temple of the Swaminarayan Sampraday constructed as per scriptural norms with intricate carving in pure Burma-teak and constructed with sculptural art by depicting deities' episodes, auspicious symbols and religious icons representing axiomatic religion and Indian culture. The temple is believed to be a valuable cultural heritage in the socio-religious history of Gujarat and India.
The installation ceremony of the murti forms in the temple was celebrated in the presence of thousands of pilgrims representing many parts of India.
Besides the Gods in the main temple, an idol in the form of a child, Ghanshyam Maharaj has been installed in a place called Akshar Bhavan, where personal items of Swaminarayan have been displayed for viewing by the visitors and devotees. An idol of Ghanshyam Maharaj has been installed in a place called the Rang Mahol in the temple where Swaminarayan stayed during his Ahmedabad visits. Besides the worshipable deities of the main temple, it is also housing the sculptures of Swaminarayan.
The Haveli (Mansion) to the west of the temple used to be the official residence of Acharya of the Uttar Desh.
The ground floor of the front side, houses the offices and the inner portion accommodates the residency of the Samkhya Yogi women. In the inner temple, the Gadiwalla (the Acharya Maharajshri's wife & spiritual leader of the females in the Swaminarayan Sampraday) holds religious assemblies solely for the benefit of the females. An idol of Ghanshyam Maharaj has been installed in this temple and is served by the Sankhya Yogi female devotees.

Swaminarayan Mandir Road, Old City, Kalupur, Ahmedabad, Gujarat 380001, India
Kankaria Lake is a large artificial lake in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. It has an island with a beautiful summer palace that goes by the name Ghattamandal. The lake is a popular tourist attraction and contains many attractions like an amusement park, adrenaline attractions, and parks.
The place is so nice and clean even there are lots of visitors so good work done by cleaning staff. Lot of things to do around. Lot of food stalls. However some of the old monuments and attractions need some renovation and maintenance.

AMAZING ❤️🤩
I went here with my aunts and mom. It was so clean! The food was DELICIOUS! I especially enjoyed the night zoo and the boat riding. The best weather to go there is cloudy weather. You can get amazing pics of the lake! They also take safety precautions during boating and you have to wear a life jacket. The toy train ride is also cool

Such a wonderful and beautiful place to visit, lots of fishes enjoy in the lake, you can enjoy boating here obviously on paid basis, even you need to pay for entry in Lake premises.
Ideal place for walking but you have to ignore couples (who treat this place as a sasta OYO😀).

This is the best place for family and especially for children there is Zoo, toy train and other fun Activity, on weekends this place has a huge rush, one thing I notice here is every single thing is more expensive than other places it will start from parking ticket to a single water bottle. All over the place was good for the evening and hung out .

The entry fee for the lake is Rs 10 per person. It is better to scan the QR code present at the entry gate and buy the tickets for the lake and the zoo to avoid the hassle of standing in a queue.
Ample parking is available from Rs. 90 onwards.
There is a lot of activities that one can enjoy with friends and family, starting from visiting the zoo, boating, haunted house etc. Visit the lake on weekdays to avoid the crowd.
Drinking water and washrooms are also available. There are also some decent eating joints.

Worth visiting!! Due to current covid situation going on, this public place is less crowded than usual. Make sure to have Vaccine certificate! They charge 10/- Rs for entry and the zoo entry from inside is 50/- there is boating and steamer, all have separate charges.

Very beautiful place to visit
Children and adult both would love it
You can take a round of it in 2.5 kms
But I bet, It wouldn't be tiring
Too many activities are here to do
The entry fees is 10 for adult and 5 for below 12 yrs
It's like a heaven in the heart of the day night working city.
My pictures would depict the whole experience you would get on visiting.

Beautiful river view and can spend a quality time …. It also include the zoo but not really well maintained and local food vendor to this place only cash accept no digital payment… so make sure you carry enough cash

Vast expanse to spend some, alone time😁 though I would prefer it to be more quiet.🔇🔕😶🤫
The authorities should ensure that the lake is maintained clean. The least they can do is to educate or penalize the unruly public who litter their surroundings. There are enough trash cans, yet these plastic bottles end up in the lake.
Boat riding is a very short lived experience for a 130rs ticket.
Trams look attractive that facilitates a whole view of this place in a leisurely manner.
Towards evening, it is excessively crowded and noisy.
Good place to hang out with your friends, family or even just yourself 😁.
It was raining heavily and thus I was spared of a huge rush that we usually witness on weekends.
Entry fee is 20 rs.
Boat riding is not that satisfactory for an amount of rs130. Just a quick round, and it's over in the wink of an eye.
The overall view of the whole river front is aesthetically very good. There are many food chains where you can treat yourself to yummy food or even a softee. 😊😋🍨🍧🍦🥃
A ride in the tram is something I might try next time.

Lovely place to visit with family for outing , would not recommend to go on weekend and holidays as it will be very crowded. Parking is available at a minimum cost and lake entry ticket is also there. Horror house, train ride, food plaza, boat ride etc. are there to enjoy for full day. You can also bring your own meals and enjoy a small picnic with family.

One of the best places to see is Kankaria Lake. There you will get the best view of Kankaria Lake inside Kankaria Park. It will also be fun to see the zoological park. The fun of sitting in the train around the lake is different. So you must experience this once. There you will also get food from different states.

You can have many rides in affordable price. Food is not at restaurants standard. You can see big fishes also in the lake from the shore. It has many kids play area. Must visit with your kids..

Pros: The lake and surrounding infrastructure has developed a lot since I lasted visited the place 20 years ago. There are a lot of things for kids to play and watch.
Cons: Complicated ticketing process as tickets need to be purchased at various points - entrance, zoo, rides etc. Parking facility is inconvenient and not developed at all. The condition of zoo animals and enclosures are poor. We saw the skinniest Lion ever! And finally, there was no drinking water in the zoo and the facilities including toilets were not clean.

Visiting a Lord Hanuman temple can be a deeply peaceful and positive experience, especially for those who have fond memories of childhood visits. These temples often exude an aura of tranquility, offering a serene atmosphere for devotees to connect with their spirituality. This temple is inside an army cantt named Hanuman cantt hence we are not allowed to enter with your personal vehicle which needs to be parked just outside the cantonment. This is very popular in Ahmedabad and nearby areas. Bring a photo ID proof for entry in the main gate . And come wearing proper dress like half pant and Bermudas are not allowed. Among all the gates entry is allowed only from gate no 2.

Camp Hanuman Mandir in Ahmedabad is a peaceful place located in an Army area. Remember to bring your ID for entry. Ladies should wear clothes with sleeves, but if you're wearing sleeveless, just cover up with a Dupatta. Inside, the temple feels incredibly calm and spiritual. Siddhivinayak Temple, located in Mahemdavad, Gujarat, is a magnificent temple built in the shape of an elephant to honor Lord Ganesh. The temple boasts of stunning architecture both inside and outside that gives visitors a feeling of being in a cave. It also displays Lord Ganeshas idols from different countries like Afghanistan and China. The surroundings are adorned with beautifully landscaped gardens, an amusement park, and a food court that offers various meals throughout the day.
A Marvelous place spread in huge area. The place has a Lord Ganesha cave inside which there is the entire temple and other religious things. It has a huge garden before the temple and near the parking area where one can simply sit, relax and enjoy their time with family, friends and loved one's. Not to mention the parking capacity is Enormous. The place has beautiful statues and greenery which makes it a very good location for photography. The cave has Many temples inside and also a brief of history on Lord Ganesha and the countries other than India which has temples of him worshipping him. There's an ayurvedic medical store and free treatment center inside. Also pure and hygiene prasaad is available inside the cave itself. There is the facility of washrooms and drinking water available at few instances for the convenience of the public. There is an enormous food court just besides the temple, which has each n every type of food and cuisine available. The quality of the food is really good and the pricing is remarkable, also the quantity was satisfactory. The food court also has sitting arrangements in form of tables which is quite a good thing. It had breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner along with appetizer, drinks and desserts available. Overall this place is a really nice and enjoyable place to send you day at and this isn't an overstatement.

Shree Siddhivinayak Devasthan, located in Mahemdabad, Gujarat. is a unique temple that stands out for its impressive size and structure that was confirmed by Asia Book of Records and India Books of Records on June 4, 2023. It is the largest temple in Asia that features the face of Lord Ganesha.
The temple's construction was started on 8th January 2010, making it a relatively new addition to the city's religious landmarks. With a length of 120.98 feet, a breadth of 84.25 feet, and a height of 71 feet (including the 8-foot shikhar height), the temple's face and the structure of Lord Ganesha is a remarkable sight to behold. The temple is spread over an area of 22 bighas, making it an expansive religious complex that attracts thousands of devotees every day. Every day more than 1000 devotees from all over India and abroad visit the temple to seek blessings and worship the deity.

During summer who not wants to go in water park?? 😌
Well, i have visited the enjoy city water park last year. Such a nice journey. If you have your own vehicle then you can easily reach at there. But if you haven't your personal vehicle, then you have to travel through local transport and road is very very rough you can't reach at location easily. Road is very much rouff i think this is the bad part of that journey. If i talking about riding at there, such a huge ride like pendulum and other 4 5 floor ride. It's worth to money which you spend there. Also their music system i also like. They have best ride at there but some ride is not there so hope in upcoming time they built new rides and it's canteen is also good. I really like it. I recommend public to go there and take advantage of such a nice Glory of Gujarat. 🥰

When i visit it..2 of them were not in working , also one ride started after 2 pm. Wave pool is having max 5.4 feet depth. Rides are fast but at the end point having no depth so you might hurt your self. At 6 6 30 pm they will tell you to leave. So we decided to not go again.

Dirty Dirty Dirty ….
Must go through my shared photos.
One of the 3rd class water park in Gujarat. There was no any system from starting to end.
Tickets process was very difficult. Ticket provider staff was very incapable. We have spoiled 2 hours for tickets.
After tickets, there is no any proper system for costume and locker. Price of costume is also high compare to the Best water park Shankus.
Water was very very very very dirty. I will never suggest this water park. There was only Lil in the water. Very unhealthy.
Walking footpath is also very bad you can see the photos in my review.
Changing room and Locker room was very dirty. Door was broken and very dirty. Even dirty than public toilets.
Parking was also very bad. They took 50 Rs for parking but I don’t know why there ware talking 50 Rs.
Rides waiting are was very dirty. Even can’t stay there due to dirty smell.
Very bad experience in my life. They just run the water park for money. I will never suggest anyone.
Shankus and Bliss are best water park in Gujarat.

cheating on name of selling coupons and then canceling it and asking money
they are cheating on the name of discount coupon. First they will sell it and when you reach there they will ask for money for entry with the coupon

Rides were great and I really had a good experience going there.
But, there was no stations for drinking water, only place to get it was from their own vendors, who charged double prices for everything, many items were priced more than double. And you're not allowed to take in any food items, you could only purchase them, paying double or triple price.
Also, I found less space for change room and locker availablity. Prices for clothes taken on rent were also double than any other Water Park.
Final conclusion: The Management team should look after these issues, could even take public reviews, and should take down the prices for everything upto some amount.

I'm Gonna Be Brief Here
1) Tickets: its almost 700 for 6 Yrs Plus. I Visited here on Sunday, Plenty of Space to Buy tickets from the counter near their "grand entrance". They Check the bags and your pockets. And you can easily park your vehicles separatedly with security surveillance.
2)Costumes,Lockers, Tubes and Mobile Cases:
See, first of all none of you is so POOR so that you don't have any sports tees and shorts- they are usually made of Nylon,Polyester etc YOU should bring them as Swimming Costume because it's always a requirement for Water Activities..2ndly They provide you with Swimming costumes of your size and accordance..it's Summer you know that, so there's gonna be some hustle obviously...It's those short tempered people who suffer here..rest assured..
MOBILE COVER for photos and videos while having fun..i got them for 100rs, my suggestion is just go for it because those r so so good and protective from water, you just don't dip that into the water coz that's obviously gonna get filled with h20..
3) Rides, Games, Crazy :
They got like 25 or something Rides and that's so sick😎..they have some of the most famous and adventurous Rides in like whole Gujarat..it's indeed the biggest in here..
This place's suitable for all age groups...it's really fun here...it's more than you can expect trust me ;)
4) People's Opinions- Self obsessed wits
*Some say that Rides are not working or dangerous
Reality: no no no..I myself went here all Rides are very well functioning and well maintained, if there's potential danger like drowning or something, they have their life guards waiting down there at the end of each and every slides trust me!!
5) People Say: serious hygiene issue/littered water
Reality: Nope I literally say their members picking out People's plastic bottles and anything from outside, let it be a chocolate candy they will quickly remove it from water and r always there keeping an 👁 on y'll

Excellent just love ❤️ this place. This place is owned by Amul company itself. Located just outside the main production facility. All amul products are available here some of which are not available in local shops all across the country. Beside amul normal products atta, ketchup, cola , bread etc are available here. Quality is too good. Amul cola is good in taste. Keychup also tastes very good.

Factory outlet of amul right outside amul dairy. Huge place which offers all amul products including products which I haven't seen anywhere else. I wasn't aware that amul even produces bread until I visited this place. They also have a restaurant at this place where they serve some mouth watering food.

One of India's pride has always been Amul. It has held a place in every Indian's heart. Witnessing the home at Anand and being given a friendly tour, at absolutely no cost is what makes this place a must visit. The food plaza is also a must visit after the industrial tour.

All in one place for all amul lovers. Each and every product of amul is made over here. Anand is also known as amul city as the biggest industry in anand is of amul. Here you will get each and every product line of amul, ice cream, choclates, e.t.c. The only thing to be noted is that you will get everything on the same rates as you get on retail shops, no advantage of factory outlet.

The food here is surprisingly good and the quality is fantastic,
There are 2 options for seating you could either sit inside a restaurant kind of place or you can sit outside the outlet on the benches, both get pretty crowded on the weekends.
Great place to get a snack with your family or friends.
The Vadodara Central Bus Station is a large and modern bus station located in the Ved Transcube Plaza. It has many eateries, shops, and seating areas to wait for buses. It is right next to the railway station, making it easy to get around.

The Vadodara Central Bus Station is one of the largest bus terminals in India opened in the year 2015.
the terminal was popular for its airport-like concept and facilities. At the terminal, you will find 35 bays, used for both boarding and halting. There are separate entries to the terminal for public and private vehicles.
In the front of the state bus terminal is a shopping mall with a seven screen multiplex. Making it more attractive is the supermarket, food court and a hotel designed for budget travelers. There are also commercial office spaces available for rent. Located in the Sayajigunj locality
an electronic scrolling system showing the departure and arrival of buses. Other amenities include an air-conditioned waiting hall and lounge, separate toilet for handicapped persons, RO filtered drinking water facility, Wi-Fi access, ticket helpdesks and wheelchair availability. Very nice Bus stand. Maintenance can be improved more but I will give it 5 stars as it is very well managed. Buses are running on time, very good sitting arrangement, lots of shops for eatries, washrooms are clean. However it could be made a world class station by making it more clean and organized.
Bibhor Saxena — Google review
Overall nice but many shops here are same means they have 6-9 shops just mobile related and all sell same services and their covers are also same...
And as usual food is ok ok but still their prices are like of posh areas mall ...
And the bus services provided are good for rest places but Vadodara to Anand buses are either less and very much crowded better to take train if you wanna just travel for once in a while ...

It is a stunning place to visit where we can know about Indian heritage, also the place is too huge and it's worth buying a ticket. Honestly, I enjoyed it very much. I felt I was over the moon when I was in these places.
Moreover, it is very well maintained, and a lot of things about the heritage of Indian culture.
Apart from this, the food was too delicious and the staff is very polite and humble. I think every person should watch these heritage sites. It is a very great experience. I loved it. ❤️

Great palace in the middle of the city vadodara.
Entry fee is Rs250/-. They provide audio guide that help us know what we are seeing. Great gardens and architecture. One can easily spend couple of hours here. You cannot click photos inside the palace. It is worth visiting once. Entry fee is high that will definetly not want you to visit this palace twice. Palace is well maintained and clean. Overall worth visiting once.

Marked by its phenomenally rich heritage, this palace is a gem waiting to be explored. The moment you get to the ticket counter, you will be helped with a mp3 player and earphones (audio available in 4-5 language option) which becomes your personal guide as you take the tour along this Mammoth palace. The experience of this palace like none other, untouched quaint architecture, huge corridors and palatial vibes take your breath away.
The armoury room has a plethora of collections dating back a couple of centuries. The cafe within the vicinity is a lovely place to unwind while you're immersed in the royal vibes of the palace. Getting to the palace is easy, you'd easily find auto rickshaws that would take you to the palace.
Do not miss spending some time at the majestic courtroom, the grandeur of the handcrafted carpers, and royal chandeliers are sure going to take you back to the days of the maharaja's rule.

A very grand property built on a huge estate. Impressive architecture, modern facilities, meticulously planned and very well maintained. The Tour is planned to show certain parts only of the palace as the owners still stay here. Audio guides included in ticket price and is very informative. The armoury section and the main Darbar hall are most impressive. No photography allowed inside the palace.
Ample free parking available. A nice cafe on site sells delicious food items at very reasonable prices.

Built by king of Vadodara, this is the one of the most majestic palaces built in India. Spread across almost 700 acres & with 170 rooms, its a very well maintained palace & a portion of it is still used by the royal family. 1. A grand & majestic Palace. What a great piece of construction & art work done inside & outside of the palace.
2. While seeing such fantastic palaces, one wonders, was India actually a poor country emote Independence?
3. Well, the audio guided tour is good in which every person is provided with ear plugs & a device with multiple language options.
4. Monday the palace is closed, balance days open till 1730hrs. A considerable amount of effort has been put to maintain the artifacts inside the palace. However, scope of improvement is still there to maintain the outer structure.

Its a wow place. Right from the time you enter, you will get a wow effect. Its a huge place but the main palace tour, which is self guided, will take approx 45mins. Palace is very well maintained. Photography inside the palace is prohibited, but you can take pictures from outside. It has beautiful gardens, also used as golf course, houses a restaurant and a banquet for marriages and corporate gatherings, good parking facilities among others.
Good tourist destination overall and the ticket price is worth it.

The place is awesome. Guards are polite and welcoming, also guide us if we ask about some place we didn't reach as per audio. I love to visit such royal and nostalgic places. Everything in it I love to see and listen to the history of this place. The paintings, carvings of each and every statue, details of interior and exterior everything is proof of how creative and professional artists were supposed to be in our past days. The aura of the sword room made me feel like how strong and powerful the King must be in that time who have been fighting for protection of their people. I was amazed and wanted to take a sword in my own hand and practice some fighting moves but obviously that is not possible for now as I'm not VVIP I don't know either if the VVIPS get to touch it but isn't it obvious if the queen and king of the palace allow someone to touch it then they will 100% try to take the sword in hand, my dream is to do such practice with the original. I have deducted 1 star because in the palace everywhere it's mentioned that photo and video is prohibited inside the palace and it is but foreigners were taking the photos freely and none of the guards stopped them to do so, I was disappointed to see that why the normal people of India are not allowed to take photos in there but the outside people are freely talking it why? Only if I guess they are supposed to pay more than I can consider the palace should charge more from the foreigner if they want to click pictures inside the palace and if they don't want to pay extra for the photos they must not get the picture inside.

You also get a audio device to get additional information on the complete tour of the ground floor which is very informative.
1 star reduced for not allowing to see the upper floors and not allowing to use DSLR cameras.
You can click photos from u mobile only outside the place. Clicking photos inside the palace is not allowed.

Iconic tourist spot of the city. Went there for the first time after living in the city for about 15 years.
Entry fees is 250 per person which didn't quite feel worth it. Should have been 150 or maximum 200. Being a heavy traveller, this place didn't feel as amazing as other old and iconic places I've visited across India.
4-5 rooms, cafe and garden front view are the only thing to be covered. Couldn't get the audio kit as we entered in the last 1 hour and queue management wasn't great.
If you're bringing some guest, would rather suggest a combo ticket for 2 places + lunch.
Big con:
1. No pictures allowed inside the palace so moments cannot be captured.
2. Weapon room which is the best part is a medium sized room so can feel crowded if 20+ people enter it at once.
3. The Cafe didn't have water bottle available, which was surprising considering its open during day time when people might be thirsty
What I liked:
The washroom looks old school and is pretty well maintained.

One of best palaces after Rajasthan obviously, I have ever seen. The movie,"Satya Prem Ki Katha" have been shooted there. But one has to admit that the palace needs some more maintenance too. The audio aid is helpful to know the historical references. Without it the visit would be a mere seeing not the experiencing one. There is a small cafe in the palace. In summer time this is very helpful for the visitors. Who have survived the heat in Baroda, would know why I am saying so. The sculptures are very interesting and intriguing. To know the heritage and history of Baroda one must visit this palace of Gaekwads ancestry.

Everything is very well maintained.
Rich history.
Quality of audio book is also good.
Takes approx a little more than 1 hour to complete the tour.
Must see site if u ever come to Vadodra.
For Indian citizens it's 250 bucks per head.
They also have lunch and dinner facilities.
Everything can be pre-booked online.
They also have a mini cafeteria with amazing upside down pineapple cake. Loved it.
I went on a rainy day so the weather was very pleasant and the pics turned out very well.

The entrance ticket is 250 per person and for 375 you can buy a combo for Fatehsingh Museum too (which has far better things to see from historical point of view). For palace the entrance is gate 2 and for museum it's gate 3. There's no way to walk to the museum from the palace despite both being in the same compound. Photography is allowed only outside and very small portion of palace is open to visit. The guards constantly whistle at visitors. It doesn't give you feeling of tourist place with so many restrictions and rules.

Well, this is a huge Property, one of the historical monuments of Baroda & a must visit place to understand the history of Baroda.
Unfortunately, the palace needs maintenance, improvements & upkeep. I was not impressed with the state of this palace that we witnessed. Even though it’s a beautiful, the place needs some serious uplifting.
It takes 2-3 hours to check it out. The best thing is they provide a free audio guide to get detailed explanation of every place in this palace.
The carvings, painted glass, wall deco, sculptures are all very intricate & beautiful.
The good thing is It has a nice cafeteria & clean bathrooms for visitors too.

It's an amazing palace to see.
Situated on side of Jail road of Baroda.
Vast parking available free of cost.
One has to buy tickets from counter.
One can buy it for palace entry as well as museum entry. Museum is far away from palace.
On entry to palace, one is given ear plugs for listening to audio describing different sections of the palace. It is available in different languages.
Inside palace, different sections are there used by King for specific reasons.
Arms and Ammunition section was so amazing to see.
Architecture was so eye catching.
It was an amazing experience to watch the heritage articles.
It requires atleast 2 hrs to visit palace.
Outside palace, a large golf course is there which is not for visitors.
I could not visit museum due to time constraints but feel it to be best just like palace.
Clean washroom facility available.
Tea coffee and snacks are available inside.
We had great memories of visiting.

One of the finest place to visit with friends and family. I was here to attend an Local Guide Coummunity. The meeting was held at LVP Hall. It has a great capacity to handle 200 people at time. The food quality is at its peak with the beautiful view of nature.
Ticketing experience: There was an option of purchasing tickets online. Filled all details on their website and paid it through credit card.
Money got cut and tickets didn't get generated.
When informed about the issue in ticket booking counter, clerk took it casual as a know issue and asked to proceed to entry. If I would have thought there is a bank issue and purchased the tickets again I would have lost dearly.Tickets cost you around ₹250 per adult and ₹150 per kid.
It was a wonderful experience. Visit historical places every now and then. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

A good place to visit while at Vadodara.
The visitors are allowed in a small part of the Palace. Different rooms have different exhibits, which are well kept and labelled.
A complimentary audio guide helps you understand the exhibits. You have to choose the language - English, Hindi or Marathi. Photography is allowed only outside but not inside.
You can see the exhibits at your own pace. Please allow about 2 hours.
I would certainly recommend a visit to the Palace when in Vadodara.

Positives:
- The palace is great and wonderful. It clearly shows how Kings used to live, it's massive.
- Once you enter the building you will be directed to the office, where you can get the audio device which will guide you through. The devices are available in English, Hindi and Marathi.
- Cleanliness and lighting is enough to see the artifacts and paintings etc. They have different rooms on the ground floor open for visiting which the audio device will help you with.
- You can do a lot of photography with the external view of this palace.
- Very quiet and serene. There is a golf course too, but I don't think we can visit that part.
- The place has a small restaurant/canteen where you can have something to eat/drink.
- There is a room full of weapons which have been used in a war. The audio device describes in details about some of the weapons which helps a lot.
Negatives:
- They charge a good amount but the visitors are only allowed on ground floor, rest it closed for visitors.
- It will take you some time to understand how your audio device works, without it you will just roam around and see things.
- DSLR's are now allowed, but phone cameras are. This did not make sense.
- Pigeons are messing up various statues and they need to clean those.
If you are visiting on weekend it will be a little crowded and you will have to wait for your turn to click your photos.
Parking is ample and free.
Ticket cost us Rs. 250/- per person on Sunday.
Verdict: I would not suggest anyone to drive miles just to see this place. But if you are around, do pay a visit. A little more maintenance is required.

ature, I can say that the park is a true oasis amidst the hustle and bustle of the city. The park is filled with lush greenery, tall trees, and beautiful flowers. It is the perfect place to unwind and relax, away from the noise and pollution of the city.
The park has many attractions like the toy train, aquarium, and zoo. I personally loved the toy train ride, which takes you around the park and provides an opportunity to see the entire park. The aquarium is also a great place to visit, especially for kids, as they can see various types of marine life.
The park also has a beautiful pond with a fountain, which adds to the beauty of the park. The park is perfect for a family outing or a picnic with friends. The park has ample seating arrangements, and there are also food stalls that serve delicious snacks.
Overall, Sayaji Baug is an excellent place to visit for anyone who wants to escape the chaos of the city and enjoy some peaceful time in nature. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Vadodara.

Built by the Indian Army's Electrical and Mechanical Corps, it incorporates influences from traditional structures of every religion. The design of the temple is its standout feature, which makes it a popular tourist destination for visitors from all over India.

Entry free by showing I cards, parking for several cars.
Shoe stand at entrance and the walk around the premises.
A tank inside the premises just along the parking.

Dakshinamoorthy Temple
EME Temple, Vadodara
Short for Electrical and Mechanical Corps, in honour of the people who built the temple, the EME Temples is a symbol of the secularity practised in the Indian Army, the EME Temple in Vadodara is an aluminium-clad abode, constructed at the intersection of ancient and modern.
Also known as the Dakshinamurthy temple, it primarily houses a massive idol of Lord Shiva, along with a miniature Lord Ganesha (specially brought in from Mahabalipuram). There is also a silver arch with the holy words "Om Namah Shivaya" engraved on it.
It is a popular opinion among archaeologists that this temple is unique regarding its design, concept and geodesic design covered with war scraps and aluminium sheets. The unique aspect is how the temple supports secularism by incorporating holy symbols from every religion in its structure. The Kalash on the top symbolises Hinduism. The Dome signifies Islam. The Tower represents Christianity. The Golden-structure above the tower expresses Buddhism. The Entrance stands for Jainism.
Built in classic geodesic architecture, the EME Temple is a perfect illustration of the values that are the foundation of the Indian Army. On the outside of the structure are carvings of holy symbols from various religions. Each substructure of the building is representative of a different faith –
The 'Kalash' on top of the dome symbolises Hinduism
The dome is found in the design of mosques, thus representing Islam
The tower is symbolic of Christianity
The golden cap above the tower represents Buddhism
The main gateway of the temple ropes in the Jain way
Rules to be followed when you visit EME Temple
1. Valid ID proof of at least one member of the group/family is needed for entry.
2. It may remain closed on Tuesday evenings so do check before going.
3. Mobile phones and cameras are not allowed.
4. Pets are not allowed in the temple premises.

This temple is called Shiva Mandir Dakshinamurti Mandir. The idol of Lord Shiva is seated and imparts knowledge of dance and art, spirituality and devotion. It is built and maintained by the Army. The 'priests' here are also military men. It is on the campus of EME School, admission is free. But ID proof is required. Its construction is of a very unique and secular type. Its ‘kalash’ represents Hinduism, the tower represents Christianity, the dome represents Islam, the golden top represents Buddhism, the entrance represents Jainism. This is a unique place to visit.

EME Temple.
EME : Electrical Mechanical Engineering is a supporting arm of the Indian Army.
Photography is not permitted. So, we did not take any. Photos given here are with the permission and courtesy of my brother-in-law Col V V Naik of EME.
At the gate, we had to show our I card to gain entry. We showed our AF cards but any proof of id like Aadhar is sufficient to enter.
The temple is located in a calm quiet and serene spot on the campus amid a copse of large trees and a well-maintained garden. The atmosphere is quite soothing.
A dome of aluminium alloy and a rectangular tapering tower draws your attention. The design of the dome is called a geodesic structure.
As per the information boards displayed at the temple, the idea and concept as well as its construction were carried out under the guidance and supervision of an earlier Commandant of EME School, Brig AF Eugine who was a Christian. It was built solely by “Shramdan” (volunteer labour) by the officers and men of the EME school. No government funds were utilised.
Even though a south-facing idol of Lord Shiva is installed this Dakshnishewr Shiva temple is a symbol of secularism. This is reflected in its architecture and design.
The dome is Islamic in character, The Kasha on top of the dome represents Hinduism, the spire-like tapering rectangular tower represents Christianity, the small golden structure on top of this tower indicates Buddhism, the entrance reflects Jainism and lastly the fire in the temple depicts Zoroastrianism.
An added attraction is the large number of beautifully engraved ancient and historical statues obtained by the engineers in aid of diggings of the Archaeological department, which have artfully been displayed in the temple premise.
Besides other, some minor temples the Amarnath Shiva installed in an artificially made cave-like structure grabs your attention. Here is a specially made and refrigerated glass case an ice shiv ling has been installed. Nicely executed idea to present an ice shiv ling akin to one at Amarnath.
Spent a delightful time going through smaller shrines, the Shiv Gufa, looking at all the beautiful 6 th and 7 th century statues of various gods, rishis and apsara’s.
Left with nice feeling.
12 photos sent by Vijay, all are given here.

EME Temple in Vadodara (Baroda) is renowned for its unique architecture and serene atmosphere. I appreciate its tranquility and distinctive design, resembling a pagoda. The temple holds significance for followers of the Indian Armed Forces due to its association with the EME (Electrical and Mechanical Engineering) Corps. Its also has Sai baba, Ganesh ji, Shri ram and Hanuman ji statues for worshipping. Quiet and a good place to visit with family.

It's a 1 day trip. People keep telling you should go there early morning like 6-7AM if you wanna enjoy , that's true if you go there in summer/ winter. However, if you plan it in Monsoon, don't worry about timing. You can reach there 9-10AM also as the weather will be the same there in monsoon all the day.
There will be food like maggie, Corn and wafers. There are 3-4 restaurants also in highways (Ahmedabad to Zanzari) so you can eat after visiting waterfall.
You can swim there as water was clean enough.
Go through my photos for your satisfaction. :)

Average place to spent time in weekends. Two to three stalls to buy limited items like Normal Maggie, tea and coffee available. Camel ride is available from parking to near waterfall. Too dark at after 6pm as there are no lights on roads till highway. In rainy season path may get difficult to travel. Best time to visit is after couple months of rainy season. There were only few people. There was a parking space where a stall uncle told us to keep vehicle but we did not park as no cars were parked at that place. But we went back and found an alternate route where others were present too.

It’s a very good mandir of Mahadev Ji, along the bank of Mahi River. You can take a meditative dip in the river while you enjoy peace of the temple. Strictly not recommended visiting on a holiday if you want to have a peaceful and quality time. There is paid parking facility. And from there a few meters of walk to the temple. During the walk you will see lots of stalls and stores. So if you want to have a snack after the darshan, you can have it there. Recommended temple to visit nearby Ahmedabad. You can have a day trip here, there’s also Ranchodrao Ji Temple in Dakor nearby and Meladi Mata Mandir which you can visit. The enjoyment would be doubled if the weather is nice.

This is a nirandhara type of Saptaratha Bhumija style temple, of a regional variety, characterised by a central latina tapering from all sides, with minor spires decorating the central spire, It was built by using sand stone, comprises a garbhagriha and a mandapa with an eastern porch. The Shikhara was damaged. The sanctum is roughly circular outside while squarish in inner side. It has an exceptional plan of eight Bhadras. The mandapa is supported by eight inner pillars and sixteen outer smaller pillars. The doorway is profusely ornamented while walls having usual figural and decorative ornamentations. Stylistically, the temple belongs to the Solanki style of Guajarati architecture and datable to the late 12" century CE. The broken Shikhara was reconstructed in 2020-21.
now this temple is situated near the *sangam* of two rivers named galta/galti and mahi rivers.
the rivers flow through the rocky plateau. the waters are shallow so it is not risky to take a dip into the river as it is considered holy to take a dip into the sangam.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐I recently had the privilege of visiting the Galteshvar Mahadev Temple near the Mahi River, and it was an awe-inspiring experience. The temple's unique architectural style, a mesmerizing blend of Nirandhara and Saptaratha Bhumija, immediately caught my attention. The central latina structure gracefully tapers from all sides, adorned with intricate spires that add to its grandeur. The temple's historical significance is evident in every detail. Crafted from sandstone, it boasts a garbhagriha and a mandapa featuring an enchanting eastern porch. The sanctum's circular exterior seamlessly transitions to a square inner layout with its remarkable eight Bhadras, creating an exceptional spiritual space.
What truly amazed me was the meticulous ornamentation adorning the entrance and walls. The profusely ornamented doorway and intricate figural decorations are a testament to the artistry of the Solanki style of Guajarati architecture, dating back to the late 12th century CE.
The temple's location near the sangam of the Galta/Galti and Mahi rivers adds to its allure. The serene rivers flow gently through the rocky plateau, forming a tranquil backdrop that enhances the spiritual experience. Taking a dip in the holy sangam is a cherished tradition, made even more inviting by the shallow waters.
I must mention that the recent reconstruction of the broken Shikhara in 2020-21 demonstrates the dedication to preserving this cultural gem. Visiting the Galteshvar Mahadev Temple was not just a journey through history but a profound connection with spirituality and natural beauty. A must-visit destination for anyone seeking a blend of architectural marvels and serene landscapes.🙏 #GalteshvarMahadevTemple #SpiritualSerenity #HistoricalSplendor

Good Place for family enjoyment.
There is Mahi River backside of this Mahadev temple that's the attraction point of this Galteshwar mahadev temple.Water level and flow is medium so all family members can enjoy in the river.
Trouble:
1.Parking facilities are available but entrance and exit are the same location at a narrow area thus lots of rush at that parking area.
2. Very Crowded in weekend and Holiday.
3. Time Consuming to reach that location.
Suggestion:
1. Must Go in Weekdays.
2. Go with Two wheeler.

Har har Mahadev..... the place is just gr8... what to say about atmosphere if possible go in winter nights (I went at that time) the place is so cool & peaceful though You wont be able to enjoy the river dipping for that u can go a bit early but the water will be cold in winter so be warned 😉.... The pujari was very helpful & allowed us to give our preying directly to the Shivlingam which is 800 yr old according to information provided by pujari the Shivlingam came out of earth itself 800 yr back... so just go & enjoy the atmosphere....

Galteshwer is approximately 15 kms. from Dakor. If you are traveling from Ahmedabad or Vadodara, the road patch of around 5 kms. is not good near Dakor bypass.
The place is amazing. It's Solanki era 12th century architecture. Very divine place. Situated at bank of Mahisagar river.
Wonderful place for half day picnic.

It's good place to go. We visited on Sunday. Almost all adults rides are working on that day. We read in many comments most of the rides are under maintenance but we were lucky.
450 rs ticket are only available after 2pm.
We didn't visit water park. So I can't comment on that.
You can also pay using upi.
Food is not good there. They have to work on food quality.3-4 food outlets were closed.

Very nice place for kids, youngsters n family. There r rides, theme park adventure for young blood n fountain park for leisure in evening. However the prize for the entry is too high for per person it's same for kids too of 9 yr old. It's 950 rs.
They claim they hv 17 rides but it's not these many. But enough for spending time with kids. A must watch here is apno gom which a village set meant for resting. All in all one time good visit for u. Carry a extra clothes if u wish to go for a roller coaster ride as it crashes on a water at ground making u wet 😃

It is the recreation of Ajwa Garden.
This place somewhat matches with the standard of foreign amusement parks and it is improving day by day by adding new rides and attractions in the park. Along with that, they are maintaining and improving the quality of experience too that is much more important.
This place has a water park too in this amusing adventure park.

5* for service and staff.
The issue is when you buy fast track tickets other guests will be unhappy with you. They don't know about fast track tickets and they fight with you and operators.
Management should place banners everywhere so others know about fast track tickets and allow buyers to go first.

Infrastructure of the amusement park is good but management of park is not good. No one is there to guide about their system. Too much waiting time for every ride. Cleanliness is not proper. Toilet and washroom are smelling badly. No proper changing room for Mens. Not recommended any one to go with kids at this park. Charges are also too much higher than it should be. Very bad management. Not happy with this

Our recent family excursion to the 'Dinosaur Fossil Park and Museum' in Raiyoli, Balasinor, Gujarat 388265, was an absolute delight, especially for our kids. This exceptional destination exceeded our expectations in every way, making it a perfect outing for families.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by the sheer enormity of the museum, which is a fitting homage to these colossal prehistoric creatures. The first thing that caught our eye were the original dinosaur eggs on display, a truly remarkable sight that had our kids in awe. The opportunity to witness these ancient artifacts up close was an educational experience we'll never forget.
The museum houses an extensive collection of dinosaur skulls, each with its own captivating story. As our kids examined these fossils, they were transported back in time, imagining the world when these magnificent creatures roamed the Earth. The interactive exhibits and informative plaques provided rich context, making it a fantastic learning opportunity for young minds.
One of the absolute highlights of our visit was the thrilling 5D movie experience. Our kids were not only educated but thoroughly entertained as they embarked on a thrilling journey into the dinosaur era. The sensory immersion left a lasting impression, and they couldn't stop talking about it.
Throughout the museum, there are more than 10 galleries dedicated to dinosaurs, offering a comprehensive look into their lives. Our children were engrossed in learning about dinosaur biology, habitats, and evolution. The museum's commitment to education is commendable, and it's clear that they've created a space that both educates and entertains.
What truly stood out during our visit was the enthusiasm of the staff, who were eager to share their knowledge and engage with our children. They made the experience even more enjoyable, answering our kids' endless questions with patience and enthusiasm.
To top it all off, the entry cost is incredibly reasonable, at just ₹400 per person. Considering the wealth of knowledge, entertainment, and sheer joy this museum offers, it's a true value for money. You can get so much for ₹400, making it an accessible and enriching experience for everyone.
In summary, the 'Dinosaur Fossil Park and Museum' is an ideal family destination, especially for kids who have a fascination with dinosaurs. The combination of genuine artifacts, an immersive 5D experience, informative galleries, and affordable entry fees ensures that children not only enjoy their time here but also leave with a deep appreciation for the world of dinosaurs. Our family had an unforgettable day, and we highly recommend it to families seeking both education and entertainment in one remarkable place.

An absolute waste place. Do not visit this place as this place will completely spoil your expectations. This fossil park has fossils which appears like stones, if information board isn’t there on top of this so called fossils then every one will consider them as stones. In the name of fossil all you get to see is fragments arranged shapelessly.
Museum is OK but honestly nobody comes so far in the middle of nowhere to see some man-made statues of dinosaurs. The fossil park spoils your mood so much that no museum can uplift it.

I recently visited Balasinor Dinosaur Park last Sunday and initially had some concerns about transportation. Unfortunately, there was no transportation facility available, so you have to go with your personal car, bike, or other means of transportation. Public transportation options like buses, taxis, or rickshaws were not available, which was a bit inconvenient. However, this is just a minor issue and shouldn't deter you from visiting.
Once I entered the park, I realized that it is one of the best places I have ever visited. The museum was inaugurated by Vijay Rupani last year and offers a thorough insight into the world of dinosaurs. The staff at the park were local and not necessarily professional, but they provided an excellent experience through their interactions. They were knowledgeable and enthusiastic, making the visit even more enjoyable.
I purchased three tickets, including VR (Virtual Reality) and 5D experiences, along with the regular admission ticket. The total cost came to around Rs. 170 per person, which was reasonable considering the value provided. The museum showcased how dinosaurs existed millions of years ago, and it was incredibly informative. I highly recommend experiencing the VR and 5D attractions if you visit the site. They added an extra layer of immersion and excitement to the overall visit.
In conclusion, my experience at Balasinor Dinosaur Park was great. Despite the initial setback with transportation, the park itself offers a fantastic experience for dinosaur enthusiasts and anyone interested in learning about the prehistoric era. The museum is informative, and the addition of VR and 5D attractions makes it a must-visit place. Don't miss out on this incredible destination!

Amazing place. Must visit to experience the presence of dinosaurs. All the galleries are filled with precious knowledge and visual reality experience . 5D theater is the most amazing .
What i want to request is to keep the place clean .i found spitting of mava on the fossils and models kept for exhibition. Specially in gallery no. 8. Such a shameful and uneducated act by people . Also the 5D tickets are asked to buy inside the museum where that person charged us the same amt as decided but does not give the ticket or receipt. Authority should look into this matter.

Everytbing about dinosaur one can learn through videos and models.
Real eggs, vertebras, bones are oreserv6very niceky but not articulated or importantance given very nicely. There should be guided to exolaine at archeological site or atkeast there should be plates there so that one can read about all types of dinosaurs.
The 3D and 5D theatre steals the show. 70 rs ticket each
The working model of dinosaur is really unique experience.
Entry fees is 50 Rs.
I dont if they will develop this site more or close it. But i really wish they develop it more because they have already made itso beautiful. Preserved all the folis and the skeleton made from real moulds is so fascinating. One must definitely go there to enjoy as well as learn.

Temple with a very positive aura.. The idol of Maataji is very powerful. The big eyes of idol are so mesmerizing.
Once you enter the cable car entrance, it will take another 1 hour to board the cable car. Once you exit the cable car, you need to climb some steep steps, I think appox 500. We did not bypass the cable car, but stairways showed 1800 steps and 45 mins to reach temple.
Cable cars come at a price of 150 both ways and 120 one way (Normal ticket).
Parking space is available near the temple at ₹100. Many people park on the road on the way to avoid this expense.
Also no need to take off your shoes at the beginning. You have shoe stands at the entrance of the temple.

Pavagadh Sri Mahakali mataji temple is located on Pavagad hills in Panchamahal district Gujarat and also 50 km from Vadodara city also known as Baroda.
This temple is one of the Shaktipeeth among 51 shaktipeeth in India.Sati ma's right toe fell on this mountain.
we hired a car to travel to this temple from Baroda we never heard about this temple and this temple was not on our trip. One of my relative suggested visiting Pavagadh it will be beautiful and will have a great experience so we thought of visiting this temple We were excited to see this temple.
We can reach this temple top by 2-ways
1.By Footway(total 3000 steps).
2.Rope way.
We picked the Rope way option because we didn't have much time to walk to the top of the mountain even though after picking the ropeway option we needed to climb steps for 200-400 at least it will take 20-30 mins of time.
Getting into the ropeway there will be a huge queue there because the majority of the people picked the Rope way option, waiting for the ropeway allotment you need to wait until turn. If the rush is full it will take 1-2 Hours for waiting in the queue to board the ropeway.
Ropeway journey will be around 10-15 minutes watch out while boarding and deboarding in the ropeway,in the ropeway chamber only 6 people were allowed because 6 people is the limit.
While traveling to the temple way you can see many shops will be selling coconut and Pooja items and also a few snacks vendors.
Some Jain temples were there too on this temple while reaching the temple top we can see them and small ponds also available from the temple top view.
While walking on temple steps I observed a few things that surprised me:-
1. One old lady is walking with the help of a stick climbing the steps to visit Kali Mata temple.
2.One physically handicapped lady also climbs the steps with devotion.
Not only these 2 people I can see many old people visit this temple by walking with bare legs.
I was surprised by their devotion 👏👏👌 where Kalimata is called as Shakti she give Shakti to the people who are willing to climb steps to visit Kali Mata temple.
I was also worried about my parents with the grace of Kali Mata they didn't face any trouble in the climbing steps to visit the temple.
Usually there will be a rush in this temple the day I visited the people's rush was normal.
After reaching the temple it will take less time to complete Kali Mata Darshan.
Prasad also will be selling beside the temple each box costs 50 rupees at least by one try that Prasad.
This temple was renovated in the time of Modi ruling time and also some development works are still going on at the top of the temple.
Darshan is free no ticket and money culture in this temple.
In Puranas Rishi Vishwamitra did Tapasya on this mountain for Kali Mata later Kali Mata blessed Rishi Vishwamitra and Vishwamitra river is originated from this Pavagad hills area the same river flows through Vadodara city.
I wish everyone would visit this Kali Mata temple when you are in Baroda.
Everything is organised in the temple premises and also at ropeway services as well I liked it.
Jai Hind.

The temple is one of the Shakti Pithas and that is why has great importance. The best way to reach the temple is to take the ropeways which cost 150₹ two-way, and make sure to book the tickets online to get direct entry, offline tickets can take more than 3 to 4 hours in the queue.
After getting down to the ropeway station one has to climb more than 200 steps to reach the temple, the steps are newly constructed. The Mandir is well-organised and you can take the darshan within half an hour during the normal time.
The view from the top is breathtaking and mesmerizing.

It boasts a circa-10th-century complex of Hindu temples, including the important Kalikamata Temple dedicated to Kali, the goddess of destruction. The summit offers stunning views and attracts throngs of pilgrims who can ascend via a two to three-hour trail or take a shuttle halfway up from along the Champaner citadel's south wall before catching a cable car.

it is believed as a salvation place of Lav and Kush (son of Ramachandra). In recent history, human settlement occurred around the second century after the hill became associated with the goddess Kali. It is believed that the foot of Parvati fell on this hill, making it sacred.[citation needed] Legend states that the hill's formation is attributed to the sage Vishwamitra Rishi, who lived here in bygone days. He had a cow named Kamadhenu. One day, the cow slipped while grazing and fell into the valley, which resulted in the cow attempting to scramble up the hill. Finally she produced milk, which filled the valley, and swam to higher ground. The Rishi learned of the mishap, and in order to prevent any such incident in the future, he prayed to the gods to fill the valley. The gods fulfilled his prayers with one fourth of a hill projecting out of the plains, Pavagadh Hill.[16]
Known for its forts, there are also dozens of heritage structures on the hill.[2] It is part of the Champaner-Pavagadh Archaeological Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.[1][11][17]

Firstly it's not in Vadodara. It's about 1Hour drive.
The temple is constructed from very old. But water is quite away from Bank. Also going to water fall is risky.
The temple is constructed in very huge area, with good parking facility.
Canteen service is available but not clean

Nice hill located some 45km from vadodara, you can travel by bus from vadodara if you are budget traveler.
History:It is said that king Vanraj Chavda established Champaner at the foot of Pavagadh in fond memory of his wise minister Champa. Later, the Patai Raval family ruled it and took care of the boundary. The folk tales say that Mahakali assumed the form of a woman and danced in a Garba during Navaratri. The last Patai, Jaisinh watched her with dirty looks. The deity became angry at Jaisinh and cursed him that the town will fall. The Muslim emperor of Gujarat, Mahmud Begada assaulted Pavagadh and won the hill on the boundary in the 15th century.
Patai was defeated and killed. Mahmud Begada shifted his capital from Ahmedabad to Champaner for some time for reasons of diplomacy. He developed the town by constructing buildings such as the fort of Champaner, Uohra mosque, Mandavi, Kirtistambh, the temple of Shalkh, Jama Masjid, Nagina Mosque, and Kevda Mosque. The remains of the Palace of Begada are still found near Vad Talav (Banyan Pond) two kilometers (1.25 miles) away from Champaner by road.
The government has granted many concessions and offered subsidies to the new industries coming up in this area. As a result of it, Halol and Kalol towns near Pavagadh have turned into virtual industrial estates. A film studio at Halol has this added advantage.
Pavagadh is the gateway to Panchmahal. The locations of hilly areas around Halol provide good scenery. Pavagadh Hill has total height of 822 meters and you can find many scenic trails to climb including waterfalls during monsoon time. On the hill's eastern side, the Rangpur Ashram run by Mr. Hari Parikh works towards the upliftment of the local tribals. The plateau at an altitude of 490 meters is known as Machi Haveli. The bus service has been extended up to Machi.

Hathni Mata Temple is a serene and picturesque Hindu temple located near Jund Hanuman and Pavagadh. It is an ideal place to visit during monsoon season as it offers stunning natural beauty and is perfect for photography. The temple of Lord Shiva nearby adds to the peaceful ambiance of the place, providing visitors with solitude from their fast-paced lives. Hathni Mata Temple is known for its rejuvenating energy, making it an excellent spot to refresh one's mind.
Totally recommended place for hiking lovers.
But never go there as a single person, always go with a group, or minimum 3 people.
The reason for not going alone is, the place is very spooky, initially during the day I am very sure you would not feel it, but as the evening hours start you would feel it, and trust me when I say that.
Also the rocks might hurt you when you go in the waterfall beside the temple, so always wear your footwear while going in the water.
BRIEF OF THE TEMPLE: The temple stone is in the shape of an elephant, and therefore it is called hathni mata. Beside the holy stone is another stone in the shape of a turtle, all of it is made from a single stone.
NOTE: The waterfall is not available for 12 months, only in the monsoon season you will be able to see the rushing flow of water and green land else it's just rocks and trees, good for mountaineers

The Hathni Mata Temple located in Vadodara is a hidden gem that offers a truly unique and breathtaking experience for visitors. One of the main highlights of this temple is the stunning waterfall that flows down from the hills behind it, creating a truly awe-inspiring atmosphere.
The temple is especially beautiful in the summer months, when the lush greenery surrounding the temple is in full bloom and the waterfall is at its most impressive. However, it should be noted that since the temple is located in a village, visitors should not expect all the modern amenities and facilities that they would find in a city.
Despite this, the natural beauty and peaceful atmosphere of the temple more than make up for any lack of facilities. It is highly recommended that visitors bring their own vehicles to the temple, as public transportation may not be readily available in the area.
Overall, if you are looking for a serene and awe-inspiring temple experience that is off the beaten path, Hathni Mata Temple is definitely worth a visit. Just make sure to come prepared with your own vehicle and a sense of adventure!

Monsoon bliss at its best with gushing waterfall and trek by the river on the hill made my weekend amazing. Jahaz Mahal, also known as the Ship Palace, is a fascinating architectural wonder located in Mandu, India. Constructed during the 15th century under the rule of Sultan Ghiyas-ud-din Khilji, this palace is renowned for its unique design that gives it the appearance of a floating ship between two artificial lakes. The name "Jahaz Mahal" reflects this distinctive feature.

An architectural marvel, and probably one of the best maintained archeological heritage sites in India, with a beautiful manicured garden in its front. With water bodies on two sides, it presumably gives the look of an anchored ship and thus named Jahaz (ship) Mahal.

Sunrise - sunset. The 110-m-long and 15-m-broad double-storeyed building is located on a narrow strip of land between the Munj Talao and Kapur Talao, giving the appearance of a ship in water. probably built by Sultan Ghiyathuddin Khalji in the later part of the 15th century. It served as a large harem for the sultan and accommodated a staggering 15,000 women. Later it also served as the residence of Noor Jahan, the favourite queen of Mughal Emperor Jahangir. The southern end of the double - storied building has a stairs leading directly to the terrace. The northern end of the terrace contains a swimming pool of floral design there is a similar pool just below it on the first floor. The terrace has two domed pavilion on the southern and northern end of the long Jahaz Mahal. The northern pavilion is not at the very end of the terrace but just south of the swimming pool.
The Hindola Mahal, located in Mandu, is a part of a ruined palace complex that served as a historic meeting place. It features ogee arches and a large main hall. The palace was built alongside Jahaz Mahal to showcase the engineering excellence of ancient times, with underground wells making it even more elaborate.

Adjoining the famous Jahaj Mahal, Hindola Mahal forms Parrt of the heritage royal buildings complex in Mandu. This historical building has slanting outer walls at an angle of 77° and thus it presumably gives the look of a swing. Frankly I could not visualize it as a swing. That apart, the building looks beautiful. There are other buildings. The surrounding are very well maintained.
Adjascent to Hindola Mahal, there are other smaller monuments worth seeing.

Hindola Mahal – meaning Swing palace is so named due to its sloping side walls. The Hindola Mahal might have been constructed during the reign of Hushang Shah about 1425 C.E. but may date to the end of the 15th century during the reign of Ghiyas al-Din. It is one of a set buildings making up the royal palace complex at Mandu, which consists of the Jahaz Mahal, the Hindola Mahal, the Taveli Mahal, and the Nahar Jharokha. The Hindola Mahal may have been used as an audience chamber. The plan of the Hindola Mahal is a T-shape, though examination of the exterior walls leads to the conclusion that the crossbar was added later. The vertical mast of the plan consists of one main hall measuring 30 by 18 metres (98 by 59 feet) and 12 metres (39 feet) high. Its lateral walls are 3 metres (9.8 feet) thick and further reinforced by massive inclined buttresses that angle over 77 degrees. These highly inclined buttresses give the Hindola Mahal (Swinging Palace) its name. They also neutralize the outward force of five massive arches that once supported the large flat roof of the main hall. On each exterior of the long sides of the main hall are six recessed arches which hold doors in their lower sections and three slabs of open-work stone windows to let in air and light. A high wall holds battlements on the roof of the building.

It is built between Munj and Kapur water tanks and presents the sight of ship anchored in water. It's beautiful view is seen from upper most terrace of Taveli Mahal
Right time to visit this place is monsoon season when tanks are full with water and surrounding are lush green Moonlit night is another good time to visit With light and sound show now started it's a perfect itinerary to plan for Jahaz Mahal has a mention in the memoir of emperor Jahangir that during his stay at Mandu his beloved queen Nur Jahan famed in history for her exceptional beauty used to reside in this palace.
Hindola Mahal is also located in same complex alongwith Taveli Mahal A small museum is also located inside Taveli Mahal
Overall a good place to visit alongwith your family and kids

Hindola Mahal where hindola means swing. This mahal was built for swings during rainy seasons by mughals. It is located inside jahaz mahal.
abhi chauhan — Google review
Hindola, meaning swing, named so because of the slant walls of the palace that resemble the swing shape. The story of how this Mahal had both Hindu and Muslim queens living together worshipping their respective deities in turns still runs. The fact that you can stand right where the cultural events were held, and can see the seatings of the royals felt surreal.

The entire fort complex within the Jahaj Mahal of mandu is steeped in history, it's not only absolutely stunning but also such an experience. Hindola Mahal is undergoing certain upkeep work and that's great, but the place itself is very beautiful, the architecture is to die for and the light and sound show at night is also projected here, such a great experience.

According to a Sanskrit inscription, Mandu was a 6th century fortified town, that was established as a fort capital in the 11th century by the Parmar rulers. This ancient city tells stories of a romance between Prince Baz Bahadur and Rani Roopmati and has several palaces, tombs, mosques, pavilions and rock-cut caves.

The whole complex of Mandu is so so rich and so beautiful. Every monuments has a story behind it on which it stands tested against the tide of centuries and different kings and their kingdom. After hearing the story and the purpose of the complex it's all worth it. Would recommend blindly to anyone to visit this place and feel the heritage first hand. Kudos to ASI again for the maintenance of the heritage so that the future can witness this beauty as it is.

Hindola Mahal is Artistic, Beautiful Unique Structure !
Hindola Mahal Built by Hushang Shah, probably around A.D. 1425 as a Durbar hall.
The walls are inordinately thick and slope like those of a castle. The slope of over 77 degrees gives a swinging appearance to the building, hence the name.
The plan is 'T' shaped. The upright stem being the main hall (which was built first), and the cross bar is a transverse portion added later.
The structure was probably supposed to have the zenana place as another storey above the main hall, which would explain the bulk and strength of the walls.

Inside the Jahaz Mahal, one can see this structure and imagine the architecture of this swing palace. Hire a guide to know the history of this place. Else enjoy the beauty of the architecture.
Note: Never plan your vacation on weekends and long holidays or you might end up seeing almost the whole Indore here.

Hindola mahal is said to resemble a jhula because of its sloped walls, hence the name. Not sure about this description, but its a beautiful architecture. It looked even more beautiful during the rains. The grand architecture is evidence of the prosperity of the ancient Mandu kingdom.

Roopmati Pavilion, a palace with a romantic history, was built by Baz Bahadur for his beloved Roopmati. It offers stunning views of the Narmada River and is part of the ancient rock-cut architecture dating back to the 5th and 6th centuries. Originally an army observation post, it later became Roopmati's residence. The palace is meticulously maintained and surrounded by lush greenery, adding to its charm.
Visited this gorgeous place in the month of September. It is a bit of 300 metres climb diagonally from the vehicle parking place. Absolutely gorgeous views all around the site and a must visit site for those visting Mandu.
However, on a side note, there are no suitable sanitation facilities in the shop/stall/restaurant area immediately around the site so visitor should mind that.

A tiny little walk upto this place but definitely worth it. Really beautiful, clean, well maintained. You can opt for a guide here, not really necessary esp if you catch the light & sound show.

I read about this place in the book "Mandur Roopmati" by Buddhadeb Guha and hence I had to see this. It is a nice little palace on a hill top. You have to hike a little up from the front gate. But be sure to buy tickets from below which is far down from the palace. You can see a pretty view of the valley from here.

Visited this wonderful place in January. Beautiful example of rain water harvesting. The rock structure has a 3 floors bottom one was used as horse stable. Above that was room used for soldiers to stay. Top was used as watch tower.
Building is having slope structure so as to store a water at one place. The water circulation system in the whole pavillion shows the architectural knowledge of peoples at that time.

Like the Baz Bahadur Palace the Roopmati Pavilion also predates Baz Bahadur. Going by its strategic location on a hill top at the very southern end of the plateau, it is quiet likely it servea as a military outpost keeping an eye on invading armies. It was later converted into a pleasure house by Baz Bahadur for his favourite lover Roopmati, who is to graze at the Narmada from the pavilion. The pavilion consists of two structure built at different level. The base of the upper structure coincides with the top of the lower structure and thus providing a double storied appearance. The overall structure is
U - shaped with a with a neatly maintained garden in the middle. The Roppmati's Pavilion contains massive arched passages complete with water channels to keep the palace cool from the scorching heat of Mandu. The terrace provides great views of the Nimar plains stretching all the way to the Narmada River. Like the Baz Bahadur's Palace the terrace contains two domed pavilions. It was probably from here Roopmati watched the Narmada flow and refused to eat, when the river was not visible.

One of the many great places to see in Mandu . This was earlier built as a Army observation post . Built of sandstone - Rani Roopmati lived at this palace later. She used to have an avid interest in singing and worshipped Maa Narmada . The river Narmada could be seen from the top as a stream on a clear day.
Cleanliness is kept at every inch of the palace. Surrounding Greenery is what gives this palace its charm.
Fact - This palace strategically separates Nimar and Malwa Plateau .

This place is awesome ❤️, if you are fan of " taji taji hawa" you should visit it . This pavallian is built for Rani roopmati so that she can see and mismerise the beuty of holy narmda river which is 15 Km away (approx ) from here , but the pavallian is built at very high altitude so that Rani can easily see narmda maaiya , also there is a garden 🏡 to spent time in for rani , and one more historical thing here is "juhari khana" when Raja Baaj bahadur is dead in the war of sarangpur all the ladies including rani roopmati of the state has committed suicide by burning their ownself alive in this juharikhana. But it is built very unique and if you visit in morning 🌻 , you will find lots of flowers and 🐦 birds whispering , ☮️ peace 🕊️

Beautiful Architecture, Breathtaking view. You can see the Narmada river flowing in the distance if you look hard enough on a clear day.
The drive is slightly challenging for visitors from out of state not used to the unruly traffic in this entire district. Parking is ample but its management is atrocious. My vehicle was blocked by a very smart person when I came back from the monument. Many many others were as well. Never seen such bad traffic sense, unruly driving and parking sense in 20 Indian states that I have visited. Deducted 1 point from the review due to this experience that needs to improve.

Also known as the Ahilyeshwar Temple, the aarti here is a definite event to attend. It is situated near Narmada Ghat and is one of the most beautiful examples of simple yet grand architecture of the former Maratha builders. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and was built during the regime of Ahilyabai Holkar. You should explore the nooks and corners of the temple to find out some really beautiful spots and the view of Narmada river.
