Mt Papandayan is an active volcano standing at 8,747 feet with four craters and mud pools. It's a popular choice for beginners as the camping ground can be reached after just a 2-hour trek. The trail is easy and dotted with food stalls at every checkpoint, making it a fun hiking adventure in Garut.
Very nice mountain to hike even if you are a beginner. Facilities are okay (toilet, canteen, mosque). Path and signs are clear and good. You can finished all the attractions here (main crater, ghoberhoet, pondok saladah, hutan mati/dead forest, tegal alun) just within a day without camping. I personally started from Camp David entry point at 9 AM, and finished it back at 4 PM. Be noted a proper hiking outfit is needed especially hiking shoes, raincoat and jacket.

Beautiful volcano, many trails, but in a day you can see everything

One of the must try for beginner climbers. Camping ground already equipped with well built toilets, and surrounded with food stalls.
Only took around 2 hours from basecamp to camping ground. Kids and family friendly.
8/10.

very easy trail,a lot of food stall every check point,a fun hiking adventure in Garut. what I love is the views or scenery is not homogeneous,so almost every 10 minutes the scenery changing.
my recommendation route if u want something challenging for one day hike: Hike until "Post 7" up until gooberhoot-> choose the extreme route to Pondok Saladah-> continue to Hutan Mati (Deadwood) -> down to Post 7 again-> go to the crater-> back to starting point with different route.
here some footage form The Crater trail to starting point.

Outstanding scenery, especially with the smoky craters. Hopefully someday I will be reach the top of this mountain.

Papandayan was the right choice for the first hike. The path that is almost flat makes it easier, even when i go last time, some people bring their kid. also their pet. You can use a porter to bring your luggage or yourself all the way to the top to lighten your walk. Papandayan have the biggest edelweiss field in southeast asia. Don't worry, there are lots of stalls at the top, more crowded than usual. its family friendly even for elder. the tropical forest and the garut’s breeze was great.

Amazing place and experience with the most nicest people, unfortunately only 4* due to the fact I, as a "bule- foreigner" I have to pay 10 times the entrance fee, moreover, there were no inscriptions in English, hope authorities will look at that.
TENCHIU LUCIAN — Google review
My first time here. Its track for hiking is quite challenging, but you can use porter service to help you (note: it's quite pricey though). The scenery is awesome, although I'm not even halfway there.

Easy trek with beautiful views of limestone and sulfur cliffs. Worth to visit, even if you’re a beginner hiker. There’s a public hot spring and place to shower on the base camp. Hike took around 3-4 hrs from start to the campgrounds.

Darajat Pass is a picturesque hilly area that boasts an aquatic center featuring a natural hot spring pool and water slides, alongside various dining options. To access the location, visitors must drive uphill and pay an affordable entrance fee of 30k/person and 5k/car park. The facility has three pools; the first two have thrilling slides while the third one, located at the highest altitude, is solely for hot spring relaxation with depths ranging from 150-190cm.
Darajat Pass is located on top so you need to drive uphill. You will be charged 30k/person and 5k/car park, its cheaper compared to another hot spring resort around Bandung. There are 3 pools, the first and second pool has slides. The third pool or the highest are basically just hot spring pool with 150-190cm depth. There are also rooms and stays. Some people brings mat bcs the bench are mostly occupied. It’s better if you come here at night 😊
Elsa Mustikawati — Google review
The place isn't nice. First of all, the place is extremely hot. it is supposed to be one of the coldest place is Garut but it's one of the hotest. Second of all, there aren't many things to do there. Most of the activities there are related to water. Lastly, it is quite far away from the city. So after a long journey there, it wad very dissapointing. Though the view is ok.

Comfortable bath, good oanas water for the price during Eid 2024, the price is 40k/person must fight for a seat because it is full and in some parts of the tent it must be rented I am not in Hotrl so only swimming pools, there are 4, 2 for children who are not daalam, and 2 for adults who are 100 cm and 180 cm deep

The scenery was amazing. Facilities and pool were good. They said this place open for 24 hours. Prepare your warm clothes cos it's very cold here (for me, as I can't stand with low temperature).

Nice hot spring pool. On holidays, very crowded. People dump their trash everywhere. Many flies around
Daniel T — Google review
Pro
1. Spacious room. Big bathtub . Small fridge. Bed is comfortable.
2. Few different pools to suit kids and adults. Nice slides.
3. In front of our room has an artificial green field for kids to run around.
4. There is alfamart right beside the hotel.
Room for improvement
1. No spoons provided in the pantry. Make it difficult to make tea and coffee.
2. The pool water has lots of residue in it.
3. Breakfast is below average. Very limited selections. Fried Chickens are hard.
4.

Came here at 1AM in the midnight (the place is open 24 hours). In those freezing air, swimming in this natural hotspring just so perfect and refreshing, though it could feel a little too hot in the beginning. There's also a hotel just aside of the pool.

It is suitable for family entertainment tours, especially children's water games. The hot spring pools are very representative and can be chosen according to your needs. The atmosphere of the surrounding environment is also attractive and has beautiful views. Don't worry, you can soak in the pool full 24 hours as long as you enjoy it with warm water.

Trans Studio Bandung is an amusement park with thrilling rides, a theater, and play areas for younger children. It is one of the largest indoor theme parks in the world.
Went here on wednesday during the holidays, not that crowded compared to when visiting during official holidays. The workers here are friendly and very helpful 🤩 The rides are fun but the queue line (of some rides) are quite long (up to 50 mins) so I would suggest buying a VIP pass if you want to try all the rides here. What I love the most about this theme park is the amazing shows! I watched Cadabra and Special Effects Show which are both spectacular (highly recommended!!!) And there are many food stalls so dw 😋👍 10/10 would visit again^^

GO CART
2 ROLLERCOASTERS (only 1 worked)
and so much more!
it is cheaper for locals which i loved! alsoooo there is 0 wifi, if that’s an issue for you.

An excellent place for families especially for the young ones. Many rides, shows and beautiful parade as the closing. Many food outlets spread all over and all needed amenities are within reach. Staff are young, energetic and helpful. We have been to many Disneylands and some other parks in the USA, Europe and Asia and this parks is as good as the others. Furthermore, the ticket is very much cheaper.

So actually i will review the mall, not the Trans Studio Theme Park.
This mall, probably one of the best mall in Bandung. Unfortunately the location is not too good, in the Gatot Subroto road, which is quite narrow and have a lot of traffic jam.
The mall itself is good, the architecture, atmosphere and ambiance is like a very good mall in Jakarta.
The tenant is good, the food court and restaurant have a lot of option.
Langga Calvareno — Google review
Great theme park, got parade for closing in the afternoon. Food stalls only accept cash. Sadly there's some closed attractions. A bit pricey for local tourists at 300k per person in peak season
Yohan Widyakencana — Google review
💢 Came here all the way to experience the Racing Coaster but sadly it is closed for maintenance. Still unsure when they will resume it. You must try the Pemburu Badai which is the 40 meter outdoor tower.
💢 It’s the the first largest Indoor Theme Park in Indonesia. The ticket considered cheap when bought online. Avoid weekend as it will be crowded.
💢 They also have musical show, parade & magic show for you to enjoy throughout the day. I have my day filled with excitement & adrenaline.
💢 If you have bag to keep, you may keep them at the locker for only 30K. Sadly it closed early, 10am-5pm. But it is definitely a place that full of fun for family & all-aged.

Jl. Braga is a charming and picturesque street that showcases the Dutch colonial architecture of Indonesia's past. Lined with coffee shops, boutiques, and galleries, this stunning location is a must-see attraction for those interested in history and culture. With its stone path and colonial-style buildings, visitors can easily get lost in the beauty of this place - almost forgetting where they are. A must-visit place in Bandung, it is an iconic spot featuring a vibrant atmosphere, vintage-themed architectural buildings that are heritages from the Dutch era, and numerous paintings suitable for photo opportunities.
For photo shoots, I suggest you to visit the area before 8:00 a.m. since it is less crowded. If you're looking for a vibrant atmosphere, consider visiting at dawn when it is livelier with more shops open.
The area boasts many restaurants, art galleries, and a shopping mall, although parking spaces are limited. However, there are numerous hotels located in the vicinity.

Kec. Sumur Bandung, Kota Bandung, Jawa Barat, Indonesia
Masjid Raya Bandung is a capacious mosque that was established during the 19th century. It boasts of a colossal, domed roof and two twin minarets measuring 81 meters each. The government has taken an initiative to revive the mosque as the hub of activities for people in Bandung. Tourists can store their belongings at any of the four luggage counters around the premises while exploring its fascinating interior or attending religious lectures after ashr prayer in the afternoon.
This beautiful and spacious mosque and the large square in front of it are favorite landmarks of the city of Bandung. Local people, as well as tourists, come here with their family and friends not only to worship, but also to gather and play. In addition, here we can also eat by buying food from street vendors who are many around here.

Grand Mosque in the city of Bandung. We called also as Masjid Raya Bandung.
Must visit place for performing your daily prayer. Located in the middle of the city, the people must be excited to go in to see what is interior inside.
Dekat luar masjid got a few small stalls run by the hawker to make a living. Selling of noodles, bakso, pulut bakar are a few of it. With just having a lapangan, the stall is yours.
Inside the mosque, we will a see huge square with half carpeted with the mat.
The wudu area a bit watery and slippery due to water not flowing to its outlet.
Having a good time here performing my last maghrib before Ramadan 2024 coming on tomorrow.

One of the most favorite place in Bandung both for local and tourists. Often used as a playground for kids and family on the weekend. They have a big yard with artificial grass like in the photo.

My first experience was impressed with the little hall in front of mosque. It is interesting to look how the government try to revitalized the big mosque as the center of bandung ppl activities. White Crater is a stunning volcanic lake with a unique coloration and contains rare flora and fauna. It is an ideal location for a vacation, offering numerous opportunities for photography. However, visitors should avoid staying too long due to the high SO4 content, which can cause an unpleasant odor. This natural wonder is truly one of God's gifts and a must-see attraction in Indonesia that offers the perfect break from city life.
Beautiful place to spend your holiday, you can take many different photograph here, but dont take too long cuz the SO4 will make your nose smell kinda weird.

Well worth a visit from Bandung for a day's outing. The road is new and smooth, but very windy, so be ready for that. The crater is at approx. 2,300m abover sea level. Be sure to arrive early to enjoy clearer skies, as the mountain is want to cloud over as the day draws on. The air at the crater itself is highly suphorous so I would recommend only a short time at the lake after views from above. The views afforded from above the crater are stunning and give you the chance to pass through the tea plantation. They requested a 11,000 rupiah fee for access here and we strolled through the beautiful plantation and spoke to the pickers.

Been here when raining from light raining to heavy raining but we all enjoyed getting wet, though bloody cold. Personal entrance fee was affordable, which around IDR 28-38k each but then if you wanna cross the bridge in the middle of the crater, you must pay IDR 15k each. Worth to visit.
One important thing to be considered: entrance fee for car is separately counted, which is bit expensive, IDR 165k each car. Alternatively, you can take shuttle bus service which costs IDR 50k each for two-way (up and down).

The ticket price is TOO EXPENSIVE but the place in my opinion is NOT that well maintained. You pay 150k for your car + around 30k per person. Unfortunately, there were a lot of pot holes in the road so a bit hard for cars to drive through.
Inside you still have to pay more if you want to use other facilities such as crossing the bridge or go to the lookout point. So the ticket price is ONLY for entrance fee. Not worth it.

Kawah putih (white crater) is the great destination if you come to Bandung. It is near from many tourism places in Ciwidey too, such as Ranca Upas which has camping ground, so you can spend several days to enjoy the areas, the weather usually around 17-23°, such a fresh ambience. The distance from the central city is around 2 hours. Better you rent vehicles cause there haven't any public transportation.
Lia Lutfiah — Google review
Breathtaking! This is a very cool natural phenomena, and a very beautiful sight indeed! The crater lake is huge and the chemicals have caused it to be a natural wonder. The volcanic area is still very much active and there are still fumaroles to be spotted around.
Do not step into the crater.
The place is large but it is still suffering from overcrowding. The ground is being trampled upon and there is litter everywhere. I visited during a public holiday and it was difficult to get past the crowds and I had to wait to get a shot without the passing heads. There are also photographers who will offer to direct your poses and take your instagram-worthy shots for a price.
There are other activities before you enter the pathway leading to the crater, such as horse riding on the very thin horses.
There is an enormous price difference for locals and tourists. The entrance ticket for tourist is exorbitant, especially if you are driving in, instead of taking the public shuttle. You also have to pay if you want to walk the bridge to the centre of the crater.
Daphne Seow — Google review
Pretty nice view and scenery, there’s a short walkway that you can go up to a slightly higher area with a small fee but nothing much to see from above that’s too different. The air feels a bit choking and took a while to get used to but quite pretty. Just be careful to not step near the muddy places or you may sink into the sand.

White crater, or simply Kawah Putih, was located in Ciwidey, Kabupaten Bandung. It was a nice place to visit during bright days since the place would look greenish. The smell of sulphur got quite a bit in the way, that's why it's better to put your mask on.
The bridge was a famous place to take photos. The ticket was IDR 15k. You could also rent a photoshoot service offered by some people.
Since I was going there in a travel group, I needed to take a shuttle because the bus couldn't make it to the road. It took about 6-8 minutes from the base, around 2 km I think. However, personal vehicles could get there without using the shuttle.
A wheelchair person could also get there since the roads were made to be disabled-friendly. Since this place is located on the hill, you could also bring your jacket because it's rather chill, especially in this rainy season.

Beautiful walk on easy paths, river, the waterfall is located at the farthest distance from the entrance. Distances are indicated at the entrance. The caves built by the Japanese and the Dutch to 'keep' their prisoners are spooky. Beautiful nature with many tall mahogany trees growing along the way. Some monkeys, but they're peaceful. A great way to spend a day out. Easy for the kids too.

A nice place for doing little hiking and also for spending time with family .
They have 2 caves called Japan caves and Dutch caves, these caves are proof about Dutch and Japanese colonialism in Indonesia.
They have a deer breeding area and we can feed the deer too. But please be careful with monkeys here, they will chase you if they see you bring snacks, and don't worry about food or drinks because there are some shops where you can buy food and drink in the area.
There is also a Batik Batu and Omas waterfall with amazing views around, overall it was a wonderful experience.
Entry ticket is 15.000 rupiah
Insurance ticket is 2.000 rupiah
And if you use your own vehicle a parking fee will be added.
Please give me a thumbs up if you think my review is helpful and ask me anything if you need more information, thank you ☺️

A quite decent forest park in Bandung.
It is vast with lots of greeneries around. There are a lots of trail that can be explored. It has historical places also like the Japanese and Dutch Cave. There are guides around the cave if you want to learn the history.
There are also some mini cafes around that serve drinks. But some places of the forest is very crowded and not that clean.
It has a good parking places but it is quite full in my visiting time around weekend. The minus point is the access that passed through a narrow way and not easy.

Nice sanctuary for Bandung people. There are more and more cafes within compare to the situation back then in late 90s or early 2000s and I hope the management will limit them so that it still looks more forest.

You can see a lot of monkeys (remember not to feed them!) or walk while eating, because your food will be stolen by them.
In terms of cleanliness - I could see quite a bit of trash around the park.
Inside many sellers of boiled corn. There is also a cafe to take a break while enjoying the outdoors
You can go to see some deer or a waterfall. You can also see caves made in colonial times.

The location is well preserved and like a maze and bit spooky 🤪. It is also a good place as an alternative to refresh your day, while admiring the surrounding scenery. Hope the local management can tidy up the road to make it better

Had a 30 minute walk in here. The view is good but there is little to no other attractions in here other than the caves or waterfall. The footpath is really sloppy and dangerous to go when it is raining.

Juanda forest caves are a must visit if you are in Bandung.
They are a short 7 km drive from Bandung .
The caves were prisoner camps used by the Japanese and the Dutch.
The caves have bats, so watch out. They are quite spooky, use the torches that are available to borrow outside the caves for a small fee.
The place has a beautiful view of the mountain forests, so don't miss that.
Beware of the monkeys are they are wild and can be aggressive. Best to avoid eye contact and quickly walk away if you ever encounter one.

Went here may 2022.
My first time hiking and I didn't know back then it was a hiking spot. We used flip flops and luckily we didn't fall along the way to the final spot and back.
It was slippery & a lot of wild monkey in the middle of the way. All the caves was good. It was kinda weird because of the cold air in the caves, because as we all know how's the temperature in Indonesia and outside the caves was hot. The last & longest cave was the coldest one, actually it wasn't 'cold' but it was like there was an AC in the cave.
Honestly I might not inisist to went here if I knew it was a hiking spot since I can't hike. I was mesmerized by the google images with the bridge & the deer spot (final
spot) but unfortunately the bridges was permanently closed and as seen in the picture it was full of wild monkey.
As for the final spot I was really disappointed because the deers was really thin and didn't even have any antlers. It was really different with the google images.
Beware when you walk & also your stuffs, don't hold any foods in hand as the monkey will snatch it aggresively.
Honestly I was disappointed with this experience all this time until I knew that it was a hiking spot, so it was my fault but luckily the caves was pretty good at least.

It's a forest park conservation in Bandung that's quite huge. It's nice to go walking/hiking in this place with your family and friends.
The entrance fee is cheap (Rp15.000 per person if you're Indonesian and Rp55.000 for foreigner).
The walking path is quite smooth, you can bring your toddler and use a baby stoller.
There're several food vendors inside this forest, but be careful with monkeys. The monkeys can steal your food if you're not vigilant.
The main spots in this forest are: Japan Cave, Dutch Cave, Deer Sanctuary, Batik Waterfall, and Omas Waterfall.

Idk but my personal opinion.
1. I HATE that slingshots are sold inside this area as I heard people said it's used to scare monkeys there. MY OPINION, OKAY. But who are we to come to their homes as tourists? Like, who disturbs who.
2. It's good to try to make such a place to be more inclusive, although it looks a bit awkward (ramps all over the place inside the forest and signage for people with vision impairment, but the entrance and several spots are not really accessible for them)
3. I went on Sunday. It was idr 17k/person, if you bring a car, then add 12k, if motorcycle, then add 6k (paid in advance at the entrance). It's not included the parking fee.
4. Better bring a real flashlight if you want to explore the caves (my phone fl was nearly useless, really).
5. Better be ready with your outfits. During the sunny day, it's still hot despite the cold weather (went in mid-January 2024). It's not a long walk to the caves (one way, it would be around 2km).
I will still visit this place, though, cuz I love mountains, greenery, trees, and the view! I want to explore more. Be careful during the rainy season 🌧

Nice forest. Big area. Clean air. Good pathway for walk
Sundari Oetojo — Google review
A pleasant area for a morning walk. What a surprise: the footpath had been rebuilt all the way to the top (to the deer refuge and waterfall).
The clean and pleasant air draws me back every time I visit Bandung. Aside from that, there are many historical treasures to admire for their beauty.
If you come here, be wary of wild monkeys; they don't harm us, but if we bring a bag, it will be taken away.
There are many rest places here, and they serve drinking water and traditional fried meals (i.e banana fried, bakwan and etc.), as well as fresh young coconut.
The better management, the more enjoyable it is for all ages.

i really recommend all of you here, especially since the place is very cool with lots of pine trees. you can also clear your mind by taking a walk in the forest with friends or family. and we can also see the Japanese and Dutch caves, we will know how the place is and its history. you can hire a guide there to find out the history. moreover, there are also many waterfalls here and there is also a deer sanctuary, which is highly recommended. there are many kinds of flora and fauna here.

Patenggang Lake is a serene body of water surrounded by lush forest and tea plantations. Visitors can enjoy various boating activities for stunning views of the picturesque scenery. The temperature varies from chilly in the morning to warm or hot in the afternoon, so it's important to bring appropriate clothing. Don't miss out on renting a boat and visiting Batu Cinta island for an even more breathtaking experience. The panoramic view of Patenggang Lake will leave you wanting to come back again and again.
Beautiful lake located near Bandung in Ciwidey area. To go there we gonna passed by beautiful tea tree plantation. The lake is beautiful and I have a blast time capturing its beauty through my lens. The route to reach Situ Patenggang or also called Situ Patengan is winding and though up and down terrain, so prepare your car to go through this route. There're also many glamping sites and resorts near this lake for you guys whom planning to stay more than a day. Overall, it's a nice experience visiting Situ Patenggang.

Wonderful view of the lake with tea plantation surrounding and the forest and camp area. Came here in the morning for best view of the area, the temperature is cold in the morning but warm and can be hot in the afternoon, just make sure bring your warm clothing if you come in the morning. Rent the boat to Batu Cinta island is a must if you visit this lake, experience another wonderful experience in the island. Just can't get enough of the panoramic view. Would like to go there again in the coming future.

Such a beautiful lake in high terrain.
Cold breeze, forest-like scenery, tea-garden scenery and many more.
You can buy fresh strawberry there even pick up directly from the tree. If you want to circling the lake with boat, just spend 10k/person it will be done nicely.
You want a little bit sport activity, try the paddle boat for 40k/boat.
There are 3 types of ticket (for local tourist):
1. Just for Patenggang lake: 25k per person
2. Pass Ticket (Lake, Golesat, Rabbit hill, strawberry farm): 50k per person
3. Complete Ticket (Lake, Golesat, Rabbit Hill, strawberry farm, Phinisi bridge, Spider balcony): 100k per person.
Choose based on your capability. Its worth the price, for any ticket. For sure, if you want to spend the night, different price will be charged. The glamping facilities also available there.
Overall it's really recommended place.
PS: I went there when its rainy.

The most beautiful natural place in south bandung. The natural beauty surrounding the lake makes you relax. Apart from the beautiful nature, there are also various booths selling food or souvenirs. In addition, there is a unique restaurant with a pinisi boat concept on the edge of the lake. With an affordable ticket price, it is in accordance with the beautiful nature.
Fachrizal Maulana — Google review
Absolutely love how they preserve this place, the phinisi resto might need some restoration here and there especially at the top, some woods are unsafe to be on. Definitely need more improvement on restaurant menu, most of the menu are not available although the price is not that pricey.
The golesat is fun, but not recomended when its raining.
Lakeside track is fun but i'm not sure about the route, i'm a little bit confused around the spider area, but thats okay.

The first time I went to this place is around 7 years ago. At that time, only few people know this place. But this time, I would like to say this is the most peaceful place that I've ever found.
Situ patenggang (in sunda means "search and find) is one of the most popular place in Bandung, Indonesia. With width more than 45ha (only the lake, anything else is not included). The water in the lake is really pure and if you came when the rain fall down, without exaggerating I think you could say this place could clean your entire soul.
The air is really fresh while the scenery absolutely perfect. It is only 6hours from Jakarta. So, while you have a time, don't miss it.

Tangkuban Perahu is an active volcano located north of Bandung, Indonesia. It features three craters and a cavern that can be explored through guided tours. Visitors can catch a Subang-bound minibus from outside the Hilton hotel and pay an entry fee before making the uphill climb to the crater rim. The last reported eruption occurred in 2013, but it remains a popular destination for tourists who enjoy hiking and exploring unique geological formations.
The crate is really fascinating. It is vast and deep.
The route is great, a mountainous step.
The weather is cold but I like it.
Frandika Permana — Google review
I came to Bandung specifically to visit Tangkuban and it's worth it. The sulphur is pungent and the green colours inside the crater are magical. You can walk up the mountain trail maybe 1km to get away from the crowds.

Came here at the raining season and very early, 8 a.m already came to this place, and at that time the weather was very cold and the wind was very strong. But after 11 a.m the wind was getting low and the sun was bright, thankfully.
The scenery is so beautiful. Enjoying the view with some hot-snack platter and hot beverages sold in here is very great moment.
Also has the photo spot that has lots of trees with the beautiful branchess. Some couples took photo in here, seems like pre-wedding photo.
The ticket is about 30k/pax not included with the car/motorcycle ticket. Available musholla too. Has a mini "museum" tell the story of tangkuban parahu in the building right beside the musholla.
I like all the snack platter sold near the toilet beside the musholla,. 10k 4pieces,.

an active volcano, situated 30 km north of the city of Bandung in the direction of Lembang. It is the only crater in Indonesia that you can drive up to its very rim. Mount Tangkuban Perahu has a distinctive shape, and looks like an “overturned boat”. Here you will be greeted by sulfur fumes which the crater continues to emit although the volcano is not active.
Tangkuban Perahu is a 90 minutes drive from Bandung on weekdays. The easiest way to get there is by joining a tour or rent a car. However, if you’re up to take an adventurous journey, you may take a Subang Colt via Lembang from Bandung’s minibus terminal in front of the train station to the park entrance of Tangkuban Perahu.

I had fun there even this place appeared to be very touristy, people been selling lots of things there at higher price HAHA but yeah, nonetheless, i still enjoy the view of the volcano and wish that they can also include some information board about the place other than we explore on our own or “guided” by those who at first approached us and say that they’re volunteers that are there to assist the tourist but 10mins later started to ask (and force) us to buy some products from them. They sounded very convincing (showing us their ID card etc) but after few rounds of taking our pictures and talk a lil bit about the place they will start to sell and force us to buy their stuff.

The place is beautiful. However you need to know couple of things before visiting.
1) local entry fees is IDR 20,000.
2) Foreigners entry fees / person is IDR 200,000.
3) Too many sellers inside. They approach you friendly way and you can politely deny to buy things and they are fine.
4) Enjoy the moment of watching live volcano. Take photos and make a move. That’s the only thing to do and see there.

we came around 8.30am. the road to get there is good even though it is winding. tickets for 7 people around 250 thousand rupiah plus car park. the spot is full of visitors. the weather was clear so we could see the crater clearly. there are many who offer services for family photos.. even though it's free for taking the photo but with handicrafts such as bracelets and necklaces that are brought along, we buy them to appreciate their help for taking us the great picture. but a little bit surprised because the price is expensive.

It was slightly over an hour of riding my rented motorcycle to the top, at least I think that's the top.
The weather gets chilly about 30 minutes before reaching and you'll be riding through some beautiful forests with cafes and restaurants along the way if you want to grab a bite or rest.
You can drive or ride all the way up after buying the tickets.
Once up there, you'll see many many vendors and they'll hound you everywhere you go. They'll take pictures for you for free, they'd say but... They'll sell you personalised tours to boil eggs and closer to the craters, etc. They'll sell you souvenirs, etc. Just ignore them, I'd say.
It is definitely spectacular up there. The ride up is so much better than to Kawah Putih cos kawah putih you'll pass thru a lot of markets, shops, schools, etc. And it's also a lot closer than KP.

The site features hundreds of rectangular stones arranged on a stepped hillside, dating back to 5000 BCE or earlier. The pyramid is really quite beautiful. It is nice to see without all of the archeological work to clear it. I expect there will be some done in the future to see what the pyramid looks like.
I visited the site solo and did some videos of the tour. There is a background high pitch ringing in the 2nd video that I did not hear or notice when I was on top of the pyramid.

Gunung Padang is a megalithic site in Cianjur, West Java, Indonesia. It is claimed to be the oldest pyramid in the world, dating back to around 20,000 BC. However, there is much debate among archaeologists about the age and purpose of the site.
Gunung Padang was first discovered in the 19th century by Dutch colonists, but it was not until the 2010s that it began to be seriously studied by Indonesian archaeologists. In 2012, a team led by Danny Hilman Natawidjaja began excavating the site, and they quickly made a number of startling discoveries.
Beneath the surface of the hill, they found a massive stone structure that was much larger and more complex than anyone had anticipated. The structure is made up of millions of interlocking stones, some of which weigh up to 100 tons. The archaeologists also found a number of other artifacts, including stone tools, pottery, and even human skeletons.
Natawidjaja believes that Gunung Padang is a pyramid that was built by a lost civilization. He claims that the pyramid is part of a larger network of pyramids that are located all over the world. However, many other archaeologists are skeptical of Natawidjaja's claims. They argue that the site is not a pyramid, and that the artifacts that have been found there are not as old as Natawidjaja claims.
Despite the controversy, Gunung Padang has become a popular tourist destination. In 2023, a documentary film about the site was released on Netflix. The film, titled "Ancient Apocalypse," explores the history and mysteries of Gunung Padang.
The documentary has helped to raise awareness of the site and has sparked a renewed interest in Gunung Padang. The site is still under excavation, and archaeologists are continuing to learn more about its history and purpose.
Here are some of the key findings from the Gunung Padang excavations:
• The site is made up of a massive stone structure that is much larger and more complex than anyone had anticipated.
• The structure is made up of millions of interlocking stones, some of which weigh up to 100 tons.
• The archaeologists also found a number of other artifacts, including stone tools, pottery, and even human skeletons.
• The site contains evidence of multiple layers of construction, indicating that it was used over a long period of time.
• The age of the site is still a matter of debate, but some archaeologists believe that it could be as old as 20,000 BC. This would make it the oldest pyramid in the world, and it would also suggest that it was built by a civilization that is much older than any known civilization today.
More research is needed to determine the exact age and purpose of Gunung Padang, but it is clear that it is an important and mysterious site.

A great addition to the deep ancient roots of history and culture of Indonesia. The guides are local men who have lived generations on the mountain and clearly love sharing the site with travelers.

Even though I love exploring archeological sites, and this place is indeed unique, I think this place is a little overrated. It's not a state-of-the-art where you can admire beauty or technology. It's basically an ancient, local place of worship/culture that was creatively built using available materials and tools. And, the available materials happened to be unique. Other than that, it's just a huge heap of stones.
But I still love coming here (this is my second time) because the stones are unique indeed, and the surrounding view is amazing. The stairs are steep and a bit slippery, so be careful when going up or down the hill.

Visited Gunung Padang recently and witnessing that it IS a pyramid: a stepped pyramid. Beautiful structures with many symbolic spots, the energy was very smooth and elegant yet very powerful! A truly gift for the world...for a better Earth and Universe!

A historical site that must be visited during your stay at Cianjur. There are two options to reach the top, using the original stairs that are a little bit steep and the new stairs with more stairs but easier trail. When you reach the top you will see stones that were stated as a megalithic cultural heritage making it the largest punden terraced complex in Southeast Asia. It is surrounded by mountains and a nice views. I suggest you to wear jacket since it can be a little bit windy.

Garden
Sprawling gardens with many flowers, a large hedge maze, topiary, a lake & more.
Very vast flower garden. Clean and well maintained, good place to spend a whole day with family. Landscapes and water fountains make this garden more beautiful. Here we can find a lot of rare species of flowers and trees. Children have wide scope for playing, side-seeing by shuttle service is helpful to elderly people. Limited number of restaurants. There is a watch tower in this garden, that help us to get beautiful view. Pond sides and tree shadows gives very peaceful and relaxing ambience , Entrance fee for adults are Rp:50000,

- The place was really beautiful, the flowers were in bloom when we went there fortunately.
- the mosque/prayer room was outside the area, at the parking lot. Not really big.
- they had big parking lot
- they offered bus to take you around the flower garden, but you have pay for it (it was ±75.000)
- reccomended area!
1. The japanese garden
2. The green house (you have to pay for the ticket here)

A scenic and well manicured garden. The Japanese garden especially is very charming. There is a shuttle that goes around the garden and it was charged seperately from the entrance ticket. The staffs were friendly and definitely paying attention to health protocols. It needs however, activities to be done in there for the visitors as there are not much to do other than walking around and take photos.

Me and my partner had a blast visiting this place. A serene atmosphere combined with exquisite scenery were the main attractions here. The minus point was that this place is actually quite far from the "Puncak" we are familiar with. Oh, and the traffic jam at the traditional market near this place made us hesitate whether it's worth it to travel here again. Anyway, for couple or family who want to have a picnic with a beautiful view and prefer a not-too-crowded place, Taman Bunga Nusantara is for you.

This park is big enough for event gathering. Need more maintenance and add more flower collection. Last week when I went there, the only spectacular garden is French garden. The other is ordinary. Rose garden can be more attractive when the colorful rose blooms. But the color is not very attractive. You have to enjoy the musical fountain. The attraction of the fountain with nice songs. The cafe only serve quick food and the variation is limited.

Taman Bunga Nusantara has always been an amazing place to visit. It has various gardens including Rose garden, Balinese garden, Japanese garden, etc. At different time of the year you could see different sections of the gardens are blooming with flowers. In my last visit, the Rose garden has not bloomed yet but this month the roses are blooming.
Dont forget to visit the watch tower to be able to view the Musical fountain, French garden and Labyrinth from the top of the tower.
I would recommend to visit this place during weekday to avoid much crowds and you would have easier time to take great pictures. In addition, check on the weather before going to this place. There are some shelters within the vicinity but you wont be able to enjoy the open space gardens if its raining.
Lastly, so far I have tried 2 restaurants within the vicinity but none have good menu that I would recommend.

I came here in the morning on a weekday, and it was a calming & pleasant trip during my day at TBN.
There are many good spots you can visit just for selfies / maybe to have a picnic with your family. My favorite place is, of course, the Japanese garden!
There are some food & drink stalls inside, but I feel bringing your tumbler to drink is a better idea.

I'd highly recommended for you to stop by if you are in staying in Puncak area!

Visited here on Friday morning. It was kinda empty. The air was cool and the weather was bright.
We paid idr 70k for taking boogie car to stroll along the park. The park was wide enough to be explored.
We also bought discount tickets for some fun rides, but disappointed because not all the rides were open, only six were available.
In my opinion, there were not really much flowers, most were greens, thought the place name was flower park.
If you want to come here, come early in the morning. Don't forget to bring umbrella, as when noon, it can be really bright and hot. Food stall are available inside.

This is an easy-to-use resting place on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, because it provides leeway from severe traffic with congestion.
Many shops and restaurants offer snacks up to heavy meals along with drinks that suit different tastes.
For the price of food and drinks at large fast food and restaurants the price is the same as usual. But in local food stalls the prices can be different. Restaurants start from normal, McDonald's, starbuck, bakso boejangan available here.
Clean toilet facilities. There is a large mosque called At Taubah. A large enough parking lot for motorists who want to rest.
There is a Pertamina Gas Station with a self service system

It's a nice place to have a picnic, or even a weekend getaway with friends and family. It is a massive park located at the foot of Mount Pangrango with some cool breeze blowing from the mountain once in a while.
Activities can include horse riding, biking, jogging or marathon running if one is into such high altitude running.
Some attraction is just cannot be missed in this park so I'm not going into the detail.
The place is clean and be sure to bring one's own picnic mat from home if one should decide for a picnic. It has gazebos too should one decide to have a picnic under one.
Next door is the foot of Pangrango where, if I'm not mistaken, is where one would camp before leaving to conquer mount Pangrango's summit.

They are very well maintaned. We came 6 person by car and the cost at first entrance is 77k and at the kebun raya cibodas entrance gate we paid for 188 more but this is so worthy!!!! This place has been on my list for some months and finally I paid a visit. It made my day!
Been looking forward to witnessing the cherry blossoms to bloom. I came on the right day where the weather was perfect and they bloomed.
Quite affordable for the ticket entry. You can still drive through the garden with more extra charge of tickets. But if you like to walk, sure you can. Enjoy the greenery around you. It’s quite walk-friendly tho we need more proper pavements. Don’t worry if you get tired on your way. Try stopping some shuttle car for
25K/30K for the last stop: The Green House.
Back to the spots. My favourite so far is the Sakura Garden 🌸. You can have your mat here and enjoy the peacefulness by the small river.
And then, another one is the Green House. You can find some collections of cacti and get some merchs here.
Summary, it’s worth a second visit to explore more spots 🫶🏼

Straightforward theme park featuring classic rides, including a ferris wheel & bumper cars.
Just reopen after the pandemic. There are not many rides and some are limited for children or adult only. After reopening, some rides are still in maintenance and many tenants are not there yet. However, it's a great place to have fun considering the price to value and Bogor's beautiful scenery.

It's basically a mini version of Dufan, has fewer amounts of rides and at least some few food areas to have some rest and eat.
In this place, it uses a card for to buy something or to gain access to one of the rides. You can top up the cards at the food court areas. Sadly though, you can only refund the remaining balance on the card starting from 1 PM.
Overall, pretty okay place, though needs to be a bit more amusing.

Visited JungleLand Adventure Theme Park that still around Sentul area to play with my friends. The area looks pretty unkept and as you can see on the ticketing area (they offer one day pass or buy tickets per rides), only 15 out of 18 rides that work. Decide to buy their one day pass, I came during monsoon season so after just 2 rides (air race and haunted house), there's suddenly rain storms and all the rides is stopped (maybe they're taking safety measures, but all the rides are in the condition where they need to be maintained as soon as possible). Hopefully they make improvements for better future.

Kuntum Farmfield offers a recreational farm experience where visitors can interact with various animals such as cows, sheep, rabbits and hamsters, while also enjoying horse rides and plants for sale. It is an ideal place to introduce children to nature and teach them how to care for animals. Despite the relatively high ticket price, Kuntum Farmfield is considered one of the most affordable options for such a large venue. To avoid traffic on weekends, it's recommended to arrive early.
Great to introduce nature to your kids. Where they can learn and know how to take care animals or pets, at least they can have fun and playing with pets such as rabbits, hamster, etc. The ticket admission quite expensive though this is by far the cheapest for such this large place and actually worth it. Good place for kids! I like the concept and the environment. However, the toilet (especially the man restroom) and the food court said the opposite. They didn’t have much choices of restaurant, felt like they forced us to choose the one and only resto inside.

This place is perfect for kids to get to know and interact directly with animals, especially farm animals. The animals are also very well taken care of. Visitors can feed animals, have direct contact, and learn about different types of animals, providing valuable experiences and learning opportunities for children. However, i think you should improve the directional signs to make it easier for visitors to find their way around. Thanks for the experience!

I recently visited Kuntum Farmfield and I have to say, it was a great experience. The place is located near Puncak, which is known for its heavy traffic. However, the farm is not located on the same busy road, so you don't have to worry about traffic jams while getting there. The farm is also big enough that once you're inside, you can enjoy the fresh air and breeze.
Kuntum has a good collection of farm animals that visitors can interact with, which is great for families with kids. The prices for tickets and food are also reasonable. Plus, after spending some time at the farm, you can head to Kopi Nako, located just outside the entrance. It's a great place to relax and unwind after a fun day at the farm.

Best farm play for kids... They have many kind of love able animals.. rabbit, guinea pig, goat, sheep, cow, birds etc..
70k per person on weekdays.
Adham Yudhistira — Google review
Ticket @ 70K/ person. Inside area still have to pay separate fee according to activity ( such as riding horse), food for animal should buy separately inside.
The area is quite large, but the landscape contour has too many stairs, not accommodating elderly people. There are several pavilions (for groups/communities that have events, you can go here) & places to sell animal feed. Consisting of areas for guinea pigs & harmsters, rabbits, goats & cows, buffalo, poultry such as chickens, birds, geese, turkeys. Fish such as fishing ponds, koi fish, catfish etc., also horse pony area.
When Oktober 2023 We visit this place together with kindergarten school fieldtrip, some area are still in renovation. When last Idulfitri holiday (April 2023) before, there still an artificial river that swan/ goose can swim. But now ( October- November 2023) it's still renovating. They also have farm area such as vegetables, sweet potato, etc.
Plenty Parking lot. Lack of restaurant. Only have 2-3 food stall located near the entrance counter such as food court sells instant snack, some food & beverages.
Oh yeah there is also chicken farm, I think they are selling/ supply the chickens alive to market.
Good place for kids learning farm animal & field.

Good place to teach your children about farming life, although its only super simplified version. Everything is organized very well and there are even food court.
There are two areas, foodcourt and farmland, there are different gate to access both.
Recommend if you need short and quick getaway from busy schedule

Overall a good place to visit, able to feed fishes, feed the goats & cows, feed the chicken, wouldn’t stay too long as there’s lots of mosquitoes.

This is a place where you can experience a farm close to Jakarta. One food voucher is included in the admission fee. If you want to have more of a feeding experience, you can purchase it for about 5,000 to 10,000 rupiah. Most food can be purchased for 5,000 rupiah. You can purchase well-maintained flower pots on your way out after looking around.

If you have children age between 3-10 and both of you likes outdoor activities it will be no failed to get there. There's tons of outdoor activities. Such as animal feeding, fishing, horse riding, fish catching, etc. For us, fish catching in pond is "must have" activity. Fresh air, wonderful sceneries, vast parking lot, and various meals booth they have.

The Bogor Botanical Gardens, also known as Kebun Raya, is a vast and picturesque botanical garden spanning over 87 hectares in the heart of Bogor. This green oasis showcases an array of tropical flowers and plants including more than 15,000 species of flora. Visitors can admire the exotic and delicate blooms at the Orchid House or view over 400 different types of palm trees including the towering footstool palm which reaches heights up to 40m.
What a great place to unwind and smell the fresh air away from the city. This place is great to spend with the family. You will enjoy strolling on the gardens and under the trees. You can also have a picnic here. There is just so much locations to take awesome photos and you can spend the whole day easily because there is so much to see here. You will also appreciate the sound of the birds and the different trees that grew here. This is really a nice place for relaxation and healing.

Fascinating, you can enjoy the forest atmosphere with tall trees without having to venture too far from Jakarta. Approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour of travel in the morning (from 07:00 to 08:00 WIB). You can savor Indonesian cuisine at the restaurant or indulge in snacks from various small stalls scattered throughout this botanical garden. Detailed directions are available. Restrooms are provided, but caution is advised if you decide to walk due to the somewhat distant location.
Bike, electric scooter, electric bike rentals, and even golf carts for families are available. There are also several thematic gardens like the Mexican Garden. It is directly adjacent to the Bogor Palace, the residence of the President of Indonesia.

A good place to have picnic with family. The air was fresh, the view was great. The place was well maintained. It was so clean.
There were many gardener cleaning the whole area.
I've heard that the management was changed. A view years ago, visiting zoological museum was free entry, but now we paid 15.000 per person on weekdays And 35.000 on weekends.

Perfect with outstanding view while having your meals 😍 Enjoy the fresh air, fill your eyes with awesome sceneries such as big trees, huge green landscapes and many flowers are worth to see. Facilities are good here. Restaurant, Mosque, Toilet, Map, Rented Bike, Lockers, Ready Drink Water and scouters. Sadly parking lot is a little bit disappointed during weekend. You have to park your car outside and walk far to the entrance. Please pay more attention for it. Despite this problem all the time you spend at Bogor Botanical Garden are so precious and memorable.Come and Enjoy your experience 😉

Sweet escape from Jakarta city chaos!
Perfect place to unwind our mind, breathe a fresh air, walking, or just sit reading books with a cup of coffee
Located closed to stasiun Bogor made going to this place so convenient, suggested using public transport to avoid traffic, I went there using train which take around 1 hours, better going there early morning to avoid crowds, carry bottle water, and bring some books, it have entry point, last time I take south gate where most of the garden facilities are concentrated, such as Treub's laboratory, Nusa Indah Guesthouse, plant/souvenir shops, the library and the conservation building,
this was my place to relax and healing when I was work in Jakarta

So much green that one can see and enjoy and great place to spend time alone or bring your family and enjoy the wide open space and the many exhibition that have been installed here.

Beautiful, tidy and clean place but take note that the area is huge.
Do remember to rent their scooter/electric motorcycle/bicycle to get around and do not be afraid to explore the nooks and crannies of the many mini gardens that they have!
No telephoto lenses allowed however stock lenses of dslrs are allowed.

Definitely worth a visit. Should take around 3 hrs to see most areas. If you are taking the elderly, you can hire an ely buggy which is a bit pricey but the gardens are too big to use a wheelchair.

Nice destinantion to escape from the overwhelming heat of Jakarta and Tangerang. It was cloudy and cool when we visited the place, such a nice contrast to the heat we used to get. The view and the clean air were very refreshing. I recommend taking the shuttle cart at first to know where you wanna go since the garden is very big and maybe confusing to some. I also recommend to take your time and enjoy the sight till sunset.

Summarecon Mall Bekasi is a vast shopping complex with a diverse range of retail stores offering high-end brands, grocery options and indoor/outdoor dining facilities. It is the largest mall in Bekasi with a clean and friendly environment. The underground parking space may be confusing but does not detract from the overall experience. During festive periods such as Ied Fitri, all sections of the mall get crowded.
Summarecon Mall Bekasi is one of the main destinations for shopping and sightseeing in Bekasi City and its surroundings. The location is easy to reach either by private vehicle, taxi, Gojek or TransJakarta bus. Spacious parking area, outdoor, indoor and basement. Has many tenants from various business streams. Quite a comfortable place to bring family recreation.
F (Fer) — Google review
The best parts of this mall are the nice clean wide roads coming into it, however the other roads getting through Bekasi are difficult at best and way to narrow. The music venues they have can be very nice. The only complaint about the music is each band controls the volume of all instruments and the mixing is sometimes poorly done. The food court upstairs is typical but I've never had a good meal up there. The one in the back where there's music is much better as are the ones out front where the other music is. It's a fun place to come and enjoy music, good foods and shopping. The services in the mall are expensive. I wanted a man's haircut and it was quoted 330k rp and a beard trip was 150k. That's more than I pay in the United States. I went outside the mall and paid 50k for both and it was a good cut.

+ The parking lot is spacious. They also have a valet service.
+ A lot of outdoor space. They even have a level 2 outdoor!
+ The mall staff is helpful and really nice to talk to.

- The toilet seems to be always crowded. The hygiene of the toilet especially near the outdoor space needs to be improved.

A good place to explore Indonesia, with a good go-green policy that reduces the emission from visitors' vehicles, and lots of pavilions to explore Indonesian culture. However, the shuttle bus arrangement still needs to be improved to cater for visitors who came with public transport to TMII. This is a good place to educate children but child-friendly toilets need to be increased and rest area between the bus stops need to be provided.

Free shuttle with a lot of stops, you can rent an electric bike, or ATV, or jeep for you and your family to visit all of the amusement and museums one by one.
Better to visit this place for 3 days, because it's very impossible to enjoy all of the amusement and museum in just one day.

A pretty expansive theme park offering a glimpse into different parts of Indonesia. Entrance tickets could be purchased online for 25,000 rupiah per person, which seemed like a reasonable deal.
There are buses available to shuttle people around, though general information seemed to be lacking upon our entry. We felt as though more guest information could have been made available to better understand the lay of the land and how to get around. We wandered for a while and used Google maps to attempt to get our bearings, though maybe others who enter from different entrances are given different information.

This place is good for tourism as well as learning about culture in Indonesia. the facilities are also complete and access to the location is also easy, so there's nothing wrong with visiting this place. you will see many examples of traditional houses from various provinces in Indonesia, there is also a cable car to see this place from above.
Aprilyani Bahevary — Google review
This place is not 'mini' at all. Place is huge with many things to see. There are also free shuttle vans to bring people to different spots in the park. Do visit if you have a chance. Be prepared to spend many hours there.
Reason for deducting one star: there were still ongoing constructions, so not all areas are open. Also, shuttle drivers mostly speak indonesian, which is difficult for tourists to understand. Not many places to buy drinks and food.
Do note: Some places have additional charges on top of the entrance ticket price.

Good place to start introducing our
country’s heritage to our next generation or tourists. My personal favorite must be the cable cars where we could clearly see the amazing landscape from up above. It’s cheap entrance ticket added even more value to this already amazing place. Most recommended.

The area is amazingly huge. You can see provinces of Indonesia with special areas dedicated. Museums are available as well as a bird park and a zoo for komodo. The aquarium is not worth the visit, but currently is under renovation - might get better again in the future. Take the cable car and you get an impression of the whole area.
Marc Lehner — Google review
A mirror of Indonesia culture and traditional building architecture, you just have to bring enough time to explore all areas of the park, we arrived around 12 pm and stayed till closing time but it was simply not enough, it is a shame that most of the attentions close around 5pm though the park closes around 8pm, the shuttle bus, cable car, bike and scooter rental also close around 5 so somehow don’t understand the different closing times. Would be nice if the rentals keep open till park closing time so that you can ar least go around and enjoy on your own pace.
There are enough eating places and the price is reasonable, we also didn’t had difficulty finding a toilet but mind you, not all toilets are necessary clean.
In some of the attention you have to queue and pay extra entry fee which makes the whole experience a bit fuzzy and feel like waist of time. The entry ticket should include all attractions and entry fee but i think this is how they keep the entry fee low and let the visitors decide what they want to do once they are inside, we saw lots of families doing just picnic on the grass and resting areas, also lots of school children with their teachers on field trip
For international visitors: not many attractions and signboards have english text accompanied with Indonesian text, i used google translate which worked most of the time

The park is quite big and there is quite a lot of animals there. Before we reached the taman safari, we got to buy the carrots and bananas to feed some of the animals there. There is zebra, giraffe, monkeys, camels, lions, tigers, hippos and many other kinds of animal.
During our trip there, we got a chance to go visiting the panda area. It’s quite big and we need to take to bus to reach there.
We buy the tickets to the Taman safari online for weekdays and we entered through the special line for online booking. Maybe that’s why there is no line at all in there.
We went there since the morning till the afternoon and unfortunately it’s raining on the day we went there. So, some of the animals is hiding and it’s a shame that there are quite a lot of places we can’t visit as we don’t have enough time.

Since I live most of the time in Jakarta area, Taman Safari Indonesia is part of my history.
My childhood was there. Nowadays, TSI serves my family especially my nephews.
The feeding experience, becoming close to the animals especially the wild, and the giant panda are the most important things to do.
Please welcome on the weekdays to maximize your experience.

During the school holidays, my family and I went to the zoo in Bogor, specifically Taman Safari. Safari Park is the most unique zoo in my opinion because when we enter, we are greeted by animals, for example giraffes, camels and deer. In safari parks, camels, zebras, deer, even hippos, can be very close to us. Their heads can even enter car windows looking for food.

It's been a long time since I came here. I was really surprised by the change. Especially the new place “Istana Panda Indonesia”, where there’s a Fat Lazy Panda and a charming one, Red Panda.
I feel so delightful with the experience! Beside, There’s also have Sea Lions & Cowboy Performance that really something. I personally proud with their attention to detail. It was cold with enchanting view of the mountain. Like a trip overseas. Will definitely come back!

Nice place to visit with family. I had fun in here. Its just because we went there on the weekend, there's lot of traffic, especially in the counter to buy a ticket. During pandemic, I suggest to buy it online since it's cheaper and easier (just scan the barcode etc).
The ticket included Panda's palace and it really has nice view.
Because of the traffic, we couldn't enjoy all the entertainment in there but at least we're very satisfied.

Even if I go here for a lot of the times, but I never get bored. There’s so many things you can do here. Kids really enjoy their time here, there’s a lot of cute animals that we can see closely. Unfortunately, we can’t take a photo with tiger at Baby Zoo during the pandemics 😭

A zoo in bogor , very nice place to see the wild animal from near. Anyone can go and feed them from car. All the animals are open so it’s prohibited to walking here. The zoo is in very natural environment so it’s a high demand area in Indonesia. All the zoo authorities are very friendly and helpful. About 120 types of animal and many types of birds available here. Road inside of this safari is very good and each animal have their personal area. Open for all.

it's very nice to come here.. one of the family recreation areas that should not be missed.. Even though you've been here before, there's always a feels to coming back.. all staff are friendly, and communicative.. the place is very well maintained, and also clean.. all facilities are well maintained.. the entertainment spots are also always increasing, this making time run very fast when you in it.. always thinking of coming back later.. looks expensive for the ticket price, but all according to what is given in.. by coming to visit here, we are just helping to feed the animals here..
My favorite spot is:
- Istana Panda
- 8 Presentasi Edukasi
- Baby Zoo
- Kubah Burung
- Komodo Dragon Island
- Pusat Primata
- Air Terjun Curug Jaksa
- Humboldt Penguin

This is definitely worth a visit as a zoo and theme park and a great day out for the family or just on your own where you get to come up close to animals and feed them driving in your car around the safari area ( remember to buy carrots outside the zoo to feed the animals. ) and once you are finished with this you can take your kids around other animal attractions and shows and also a variety of rides. Definitely recommended. Just remember pack swimmers and a towel if you want to use the water park section.

I see no one reviews their parking so here you go
Price of the car parking is 5k idr for the first hour and 4k for the continuing hours
Sprial for going up is kind of steep, so be careful. Also the exit is always crowded so expect some congestion when going out. There is staff that can help with managing the traffic when we go out

The West Mall is a sprawling complex offering artificial recreational areas to replace green areas and parks that are largely missing in Jakarta. It is home to a wide variety of high-end brands, as well as more affordable options, as well as excellent street foods outside the West Mall that should have the right to be inside the mall also. There is also a large food court with a variety of cuisines to choose from. The mall is well-maintained and cleans up to the minute details, and the staff is friendly and very helpful and I hope they are paid far above the minimum wage. The mall is at the central location in Jakarta, making it easy to get to, makes us wonder how they occupy a vast commercial area close to a historical landmark.
The mall can be crowded at times, especially on weekends as there are almost no green areas in Jakarta. The prices at the mall can be high, so it is not the best place to go for budget-friendly shopping. The mall seems not to apply any green building or green energy design and there is not a lot of natural light inside. The mall is a maze and is a bit overwhelming, especially for first-timers, and for senior citizens. Yet, as most malls do, it is a reliable place to find what you are looking for.
Car parking can be costly and hard to find. Anticipate people driving recklessly and selfishly within the mall surroundings.

Tasteless & racist music. You simply don’t play Aladdin soundtrack in NEVER-ENDING REPEAT all day in this Ramadhan month, just because the background history is Arabian. Been there 3x this month & it’s the same from morning - night.
Besides, their profiles are far from good moslem: befriended with jinn, sensual dress, glorifying thieves, etc.

Nice and spacious shopping mall. West mall has many options for food than the other, but some are so crowded, so we have to wait aka waiting list.

The West mall has many specialty shops as well as the Food Hall and other restaurants & cafe. We're looking for the Kinokuniya book store, in fact it's inside the Food Hall. If you're looking for a BCA ATM you are lucky because it's located on the first level. Strangely, you need to go up 4 more levels to find other banks' ATMs.

I haven't visited Grand Indonesia since Covid. Since I like Car Free Day a lot, I have a stroll at Grand Indonesia East and West Mall after CFD. The latter is renovating a lot, a lot of shops are closed but there is a variety of food choices. I like the architecture of the East Mall and love to catch up with friends at Social House again.

One of the high end shopping mall in Jakarta and Indonesia. Located near Bundaran HI, contains of 2 major building of West And East mall of Grand Indonesia and connected by the sky bridge. Even this is a High end shopping mall, the entire area looks always crowded. There are plenty of both locals and international brand store and mostly the premium brands. You can only just walking around or having some meal at the restaurants and Cafe.

Great restaurants, and also a great place to have a long walk. Good stores that serve all classes of people. Been going here since 2009, when it first opened.
However, nowadays management is unprofessional and store employees have no discipline. Also employees can still use customer's toilets, and some are not very hygenic. Also, when the mall is about to close they take up all the lifts, and are seen walking while playing with their phones and bumping into people, or laughing loudly and disturbing customers.
Also, online food delivery drivers also walk around while playing with their phones, and bump into customers.
Better to go back to the old days, when it was more exclusive. That is why I still prefer PS, PI, Senci and PIM's management. Since I have been a long time customer here, I find it to be such a shame.

One of my favorite malls in Jakarta, Grand Indonesia!
They have 2 big wings, East and West. Both are great and has a big line of stores, international as well as local brands, restaurants, and supermarkets. They usually have expo or special exhibition in the middle.
I usually go to Seibu and Food Hall in this wing, with 3A floor as my fave with lots of choices for food and beverages, like Marugame Udon, Koi, Pancious, Grains, Haagen Dasz, Ramen Ya, and so many more.
Foodprints, the food court at the 5th floor, is also great! It offers a wide variety of food as well, including Bakmi GM, Lamien place, dcrepes, fast food and more

A very modern and one of the newest shopping malls in Jakarta.
It has a great variety of shops, but majority is high end brands, so don't expect any super bargains here.
The hallways themselves offers great space.
The layout can be tricky in the beginning and a little bit awkward, but it is easy to get into the groove of where to go, just make sure to have enough time ^^.
2 spacious and wide areas for dining where you will definitely be ablebto find something to your preference.
As well as a couple of places are located in the LG and UG floors too.
A great mall to visit if it is your first time here in Jakarta.

Istiqlal Mosque, located in Jakarta, is the largest mosque in Southeast Asia and features a contemporary design. It's situated near other notable landmarks such as the Gereja Cathedral and the National Museum of Indonesia. When visiting this bustling city, it's important to be mindful of safety tips and exercise caution while navigating the streets. Additionally, a visit to Istiqlal Mosque offers an opportunity for spiritual connection during nighttime hours.
An iconic Islamic building full of historical events and spiritual presence. By far, it is the biggest mosque in Southeast Asia region. The area surrounding the mosque has many historical spots (like the Cathedral and National Monument). Istiqlal Mosque is open for non-Muslim tourists for free, just need to dress properly and respectfully.

One of the famous and important landmarks in Jakarta and certainy shouldn't be missed if you visit the capital city of Indonesia.
Istiqlal Mosque is the biggest mosque in South East Asia and the sixtth biggest mosque in the world in terms of capacity for the worshippers. I guess I read it that it can accomodate more than 200.000 worshippers at the same time. With many floors surrounding the main building, it sure will be able to welcome many.
The last time I came here was during Ramadhan, at dhuha time in the morning. It was not too crowded, at that time but I guess when it's during Friday prayers, taraweh, Eid and more, the mosque is packed.
There are several entrances, with separated doors for men and women. The Ablution center is also separated and the praying area is clearly designated. If you don't bring prayer mat or praying clothes (mukena), they have it ready in the praying area. Holy Quran is also available for those who like to recite it while in the mosque.
It has big terraces and halls. We have many religious-related activities conducted in the mosque.
The parking area is big and it can cater cars and buses.
There is a playing ground for kids in the courtyard as well.
It's always lovely to be here and solemnly pray.

The Istiqlal Mosque in Jakarta is a stunning architectural marvel and an essential cultural landmark in Indonesia. As one of the largest mosques in Southeast Asia, it can accommodate over 200,000 worshippers. Its grand dome and towering minarets dominate the cityscape. The mosque's construction commenced in 1961 and was inaugurated in 1978, symbolizing Indonesia's newfound independence.
Inside, the vast prayer hall boasts a serene ambiance, with a beautiful mihrab at its center. The mosque is known for its inclusivity, welcoming visitors from all backgrounds to admire its beauty and learn about Islam. Its strategic location near Jakarta's other major attractions makes it an easily accessible and enriching experience for tourists and locals alike.

We have entered the Istiqlal Mosque through the Al Fattah or main gate.We were greeted by the ever smiling faced young Imam of the mosque. He is such a knowledgeable person and with his smile and attitude instantly owned our heart. We came to know from him that Indonesia is primarily a Sunni Muslim country. Istiqlal Mosque is very famous in contemporary world history and President Barack Obama along with his wife, President Bill Clinton, German Chancellor Anjela Narkel and numerous world dignitaries came here in yesteryear, but he is very happy to meet some Indians. This grand structure is the largest mosque in South East Asia and 9th biggest mosque in the world and built to commemorate Indonesian Independence. It has a capacity for 200,000 worshippers. Architecture of this beautiful mosque was Friedreich Silaban.
The rectangular main prayer hall building is covered by a 45-m diameter central spherical dome; the number "45" symbolizes the 1945 Proclamation of independence.
The dome is supported by twelve big round columns or pillars . 12 probably indicate prophet's birthday month of Rabi' al-awwal. We are seeing 5 floors inside the mosque which as per explanation of Imam symbolizes 5 time Azan or prayers. He also said the central dome of the mosque is 8 meters in diameter . Here 8 means 8th or August month, the month of Indonesian Independence.

This is the second time I visited the Istiqlal Mosque, my first visit here was when there was no Google account or mobilephones with cameras for almost 20 years ago.
Now I visited here in October 27th 2023 specially for Friday prayers.
This magnificent mosque, the largest in Southeast Asia, makes me proud to be an Indonesian citizen.
An extraordinary mosque design is timeless.
Since the renovation was completed, there have been improvements and additional supporting facilities to make this mosque even better.
There is a paid locker cupboard to store things and our belonging when we want to enter the area inside the mosque.
There are quite a lot of sanitary places available and they are quite clean.
The prayer place is on the 2nd floor, up 1 floor from the ablution place.
When you enter the main prayer room you can really feel the splendor of this Istiqlal mosque.

Entry to the mosques spree. A guide is provided taking small groups around the mosque after you sign in and cloak up in burgundy with gold trim, hooded gowns… Very very special. You take your shoes off and two of the mosque. It really is stunning. It’s all marble but the dome itself and the columns in the main prayer area is stainless steel with beautiful red carpets. There are five levels representing the five pillars of Islam. It is the largest mosque in Southeast Asia and the ninth largest in the world. Capacity is 120,000 worshippers really amazing experience. Even waiting outside for the mocks to open which is 10 am we enjoyed coffee with some Street vendors and a swat team. That were there taking a break from the patrols…

Came here in the last couple of days of Ramadhan 1445H to pray magrib and isya. Still very crowded even if it had been a holiday already. There were a lot of food stalls with so many options to accompany all visitors who want to pray along the night at this mosque. In Ramadhan, the mosque provided some iftar and rice box to visitors wanting to break a fast there, but in limited quantity. There is a locker as well in the men's wudhu place to put all your belongings if you don't want to bring it inside the mosque.

This is the largest mosque in Southeast Asia and the sixth largest mosque in the world. It was built to commemorate Indonesian independence and was named "Istiqlal", which is Arabic for "independence". The interior design is extremely modern, minimalist, simple and clean-cut, with a minimum of stainless steel geometric ornaments, and full of symbolism. The mosque can accommodate up to 200,000 worshippers. The visitor entrance is to the far right from the main entry doors.
Entrance is free, you will be asked to take of your shoes once inside, and clothing will be provided to cover your knees and shoulders if you are not properly dressed. A very bossy guide provides mandatory group tours.

Located in the heart of Merdeka Square in Jakarta, Indonesia, stands the National Monument (Monumen Nasional or Monas). This 132-meter-tall obelisk was constructed to honor Indonesia's struggle for independence from Dutch colonial rule. Inspired by the Eiffel Tower, it was commissioned by President Sukarno and completed in 1975. The monument is adorned with a gold-sheeted flame at its peak and has become a symbol of national pride.

The museum is just below underground the national monument which can be enter by purchasing a ticket for museum will be 5000rp and to visit the sky view of national monument is 10000rp. Recommend to do early booking if you intent to go up of the national monument to enjoy the sky view as ticket are limited. A fun tourist location to spend time with family. The beach sand is clean, the sea water is clear. Suitable as a children's water play area. It's just unfortunate, there is some rubbish that has washed up on the edge of the beach, reducing its beauty
Visitor entrance tickets and parking tickets are cheap
When we visited, the tourist location was rather quiet because we visited on a weekday. This makes it easier for us to find car parking locations and places to relax. If you want to pray, the prayer room is close by. If you want to go to the toilet, it is also close by and in clean conditions

Great place to visit at jakarta. Not crowded today. All the people are nice here, people who dress as indonesia old figure are nice, can take picture with them. Renting bicycle to ride in the area also great. Might want to check other museums located inside, eah have their own uniqueness

I would recommend visiting here !
A few museums in the area, tattoo paloura, palm reading, portrait drawing, bike hire, cafes.
Lots of tourist places selling souvenirs and clothing at a reasonable price.

Wondering about Indonesian History ? Here you can find information about Indonesian history as well as historical attributes such as underground prison, old money, stones, table, chair, painting, etc.
It is an old two stories building, so when the visitors on the 2nd floor is too many, the guards will closed the door and asking visitors to come down.
This place is fit for children and school trip. The contribution fee is very cheap arounr Rp 5.000 for adults, 4.000 for varsity student, 3.000 for kids and special price for group outing. However somehow the setting was not too attractive and a bit dusty.

Museums closed at 16:00 on a Sunday. Batavia Restaurant sooo slow used up all the time for so-so meals. Most of Dutch menu gone.
