Partially ruined Hindu temple complex, dating to the 10th century CE, with intricate stone carvings.
A place of archaeological importance. This structure houses lots of deities which have now been shifted to a nearby museum at Udaipur. Overall, nice.

Nestled in a bit away from other attractions in other Udaipur, but you'd be missing out BIG time if you don't include this underrated jewel in your itinerary.

Recently visited a beautiful temple in Udaipur named SahastraBahu Temple.
Great piece of ancient architecture.
When we decided to go there we were thinking it must have some relation to a great Mother in law and daughter in law duo. Later got to know that its not Sas-Bahu temple but SahastraBahu Temple.
Amazing carvings. Its remind me the temple's of south. Do visit once you're in Udaipur. Around 25 km from Udaipur.

**History:**
The Saas Bahu Temple, located in Nagda, Rajasthan, India, is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. It's actually a pair of temples, one larger (Saas) and one smaller (Bahu), built in the 10th century. The name "Saas Bahu" translates to "Mother-in-law and Daughter-in-law," which is a local colloquial term used to differentiate between the two temples. The architecture is notable for its intricate carvings and fine craftsmanship, reflecting the artistry of the period. The temple complex is a popular tourist attraction and a significant cultural heritage site in Rajasthan.
Because the temple of Lord Vishnu was constructed first, it was named Sahastrabahu Temple, meaning ‘the one having a thousand arms’, a synonym for Lord Vishnu. However, afterwards, the twin temples were collectively called Sahastrabahu Temple. As time passed, the name got corrupted, and the temple became popular as Saas-Bahu Temple due to the reason of its origin
**How to Reach:**
Located amidst the breathtaking landscape, accessing the Saas Bahu Temple is relatively convenient. Visitors can reach via private transport or opt for local transportation, with clear signages guiding the way.
**Best Mode of Transport:**
For an immersive experience, embarking on a picturesque ride through the winding roads leading to the temple is highly recommended, offering panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.
**Nearby Sightseeing Places:**
Enthusiasts can extend their visit to nearby attractions, such as [ Eklinji Temple & Nathdwara ] enhancing the overall trip with diverse cultural experiences and natural wonders.
**Amidst the Mountains:**
Set against the backdrop of majestic mountains, the Saas Bahu Temple provides a serene ambiance, perfect for spiritual introspection and rejuvenation of the soul.
**Convenience Store Necessities:**
While the temple offers a tranquil retreat, it would be beneficial to have a shop on-site catering to essential food items, ensuring the comfort of all visitors, especially kids and senior citizens.
**Renovation and Protection Needs:**
Addressing concerns regarding the temple's preservation, urgent measures are warranted from the government to safeguard its walls and architecture, which have suffered deterioration over time, necessitating renovation for its conservation.
**Cleanliness and Staff Cooperation:**
Impressively, the temple boasts impeccable cleanliness standards, complemented by the cooperative staff who ensure a seamless visitor experience. Moreover, the temple's popularity as a backdrop for wedding shoots adds to its allure.
**Lack of Sculptures:**
A notable drawback is the absence of sculptures within the temple premises, detracting from its overall aesthetic appeal and historical significance.
"Visiting the Saas Bahu Temple was a remarkable experience! The intricate carvings and architecture are truly mesmerizing. It's a serene oasis amidst the bustling city. A must-visit for history buffs and architecture enthusiasts alike. Highly recommend!"

Such a serene place.. In the middle of mountains.. Beautifully carved 11 century twin temples...Really a visual treat.. The area is not so big.. It will take around one hour or even less to explore.. Good place for photography 😊. A less explored area, very few visitors..But a must visit if you are visiting Udaipur.. Around 26 kms from Udaipur.. You can take a taxi to reach there.. You may also go to famous eklingji temple very close to this place.. We started from Udaipur at around 9 am and completed both the points before lunch..

This place is really a heritage site. Tourist doesn't know much about this place but it's a must visit place if you're coming to Eklingji Temple.
You will see the Indian Architecture and how rich was the culture. The stone carving and statues will mesmerize you the most. This place should be developed as a tourist destination. #Rajasthan #rajasthantourism please look into this.

A wonderful temple and there were less tourists there too. It is a nice visit on the way from Udaipur to Jodhpur. There is so much greenery around and a lake beside it as well.
The architecture is stunning! Intricate carvings adorn the temples inside and out. There are some of the smaller temples missing though but the larger ones remain.
There is also a working and clean washroom just outside the main gates - bring toilet paper and hand sanitizer as there is no soap.

During our trip to Udaipur, our driver suggested to visit this temple enroute Eklingji temple. Located in an isolated place, in the backdrop of a lake with hills in the background, this temple is an architectural marvel. We were mesmerized by the finesse and detailing of the architecture. There is an interesting folklore which led to this temple being call SaasBahu temple, similar to its correct name SahastraBahu temple.
It is a paradise for those who are interested in clicking and getting clicked. There are as many angles and poses as one can imagine to satiate their photography desires.
We spent more than an hour here, marveling at the beauty of the temple and the surrounding landscape, clicking pics and just sitting and getting lost in its aura. It seems the place is not much promoted as it doesn't lists in places to visit in and around Udaipur in online portals and youtube. But for us it was one of the most satisfying experience. There were hardly any tourists, just few local college boys and girls and couple of foreign and Indian tourists. But good for us as we had the full place for ourselves :D
You might get disappointed if you visit here for religious reasons as its not a proper functioning temple. But do visit for its architecture, beauty and soulfulness.

The Sas Bahu Temple is a fascinating architectural marvel located in Udaipur, India. Its intricate carvings and historical significance make it a must-visit for enthusiasts of ancient temples. The temple's dual shrines, dedicated to mother-in-law and daughter-in-law, showcase exquisite craftsmanship, revealing the rich cultural and religious heritage of the region. While the site may be smaller compared to some other temples, its unique design and well-preserved structure make it a captivating experience for anyone interested in exploring India's cultural history.

Sahasra Bahu Temples at Nagda, a pair of magnificent 10th-century Hindu temples dedicated to Vishnu (one with

This ruined temple, an archaeological treasure, is an absolute must-visit for every tourist. The beautifully carved walls stand as a testament to exquisite artistry, making it a captivating piece of history.
The site is remarkably Instagrammable, with every corner holding a picturesque charm. Situated by the shore of the lake, it offers a lively and breathtaking view. However, parking can be a hassle, so plan accordingly.
The ambiance comes alive, especially during sunrise and sunset, enhancing the overall experience.
Shrinathji Temple is a Hindu temple and popular pilgrimage site that pays homage to Lord Krishna. The temple features scheduled rituals and viewing times, with several timings when the gates are open for darshan. It is highly visited, with long queues often present outside of the main entrance. To streamline entry, a VIP entry fee of Rs 350 permits access to the front line.
Main entrance of Shrinathji temple. Lots of peoples come today in huge number. So there is always very long queue for entering in Shrinathji temple. Outside of main gate, Mandir have facility to Keep devotees mobiles and Shoes safe for free. There are lots of shops outside of main gate. Very crowded entrance gate.

One word - Pristine!
Shrinathji Temple is located in Nathdwara area of Rajasthan. This is a very old and respected temple in Nathdwara, lord Shrinath (avatar of Krishna) is worshipped here. There are 5 aartis everyday for the God. It's considered to be good if you are able to make it to all of the aartis in a single day. The crowd is good enough on any single day. First Aarti starts at roughly 6am in the morning.

It’s worth all efforts. The only bad thing is, it has transformed in to business tourism instead of pilgrimage. No Phones 📵 allowed and security will continuously push and ask you to leave quickly. But its all worth it, to get small glimpse of lord Shrinathji. Be cautious for Fast Line tags/ early access.

Avoid visiting on weekends and if possible leave your phone in hotel or in car because phone inside the temple is not allowed and you have to even wait in line for keeping your shoes and footwear and if your visiting shrinathji you can also cover tallest murti of shivji nearby.

Excellent place. You can take normal line with no fee. No phone is allowed inside so you can keep it outside for free. Don't go on weekends due to rush and also on Holiday times. If VIP line then it will cost ₹350 per person. You can visit each and every specific room where prasad is made or dresses are made for ShrinathJi. A lot of rooms for specific work is there inside the temple which I think is most organized temple I saw till now. You will visit 3 idols if in VIP. It will be a proper workout as you will have to run a lot inside.

Raadhe Radhe. The main attraction of Nathdwara. Very crowded and long but well-maintained queues. However, the atmosphere is good and people are helpful. The statue of Krishna looks very beautiful.

A must visit when in Udaipur. The temple
is about 2 hour drive so plan well. The temple has 8 darshan timings and this is important to follow to visit the temple. It has a website and allows you to book the darshan. Please do that there are touts all along who will scam you for darshan by quoting higher prices.
The temple management has made lines and queues etc but it is not very friendly or easy to navigate.
As tourists if you have limited time plan very well and book the tickets from the temple website.
The locals seem to understand the timing and darshan formality so they are fine with the line systems.
The temple is closed for 15 mins every hour and allows only 45 mins darshan.
The temple has a lunch break as well from 2-4 (time varies) there is always a queue.
They don’t allow mobiles so you will have to deposit them as well.
And again there will be a queue for that as well.
There is cow shed near by in case you want to visit.
The folks all around will try to fleece you for money so be very careful and the place is full of tourist traps

The temple needs to be more systematic otherwise it’s fine. The vip line system is too much and affordable. We had the proper darshan till 10 minutes. The market outside the temple is amazing and so reasonable but we couldn’t shop much as we were short of time. The variety of food is great

Very huge market for shopping and for food, so you definitely try the street food of the Shreeji Temple, like Pyaas Kachori Kachori Gulab jam Rabadi, Puri Sabzi.

One of ultimate religious temple....on weekend it's overcrowded but management and security had been doing great for devotees so not getting cramped on each other. Personally I didn't like that "VIP line" culture no need to pay for darshan, usually it takes 15-20 min for darshan.

Chittorgarh Fort is a vast 240-hectare citadel that has stood for over 1,000 years. It features intricate palaces, temples and gateways. The site exudes history and the ambiance is breathtaking during sunset. Visitors are often accompanied by friendly monkeys and dogs which make for great photo opportunities. A guide can be hired to efficiently navigate through important areas of the fort; however, visitors should refrain from carrying food due to the abundance of monkeys in the area.
It is a huge fort with many attractions! You need 3-4 hours to see the fort completely. If you just want to see main attractions you need couple of hours. There aren't many restaurants nearby and the few which are there are very expensive. I would suggest to visit the fort early morning as it gets very hot after 12. There is an entry fee of Rs.40 pp. The fort has a big history so if you are interested in knowing you should hire a guide, it would charge you around 500-600. It is a do visit place for all the historic lovers.

But this is just a marvelous piece of architecture!
There is not one site, but it has about 9-10 different visiting locations inside the fort !
It will take you almost 3 days to visit the complete location properly !
You can travel via Auto inside the fort premises, so no issues of that
But the fort and everything inside it is just beautiful! 😍

I enjoyed the sunset from the fort which was one of the best sunset views I have ever seen.
The Brahma Temple is a famous Hindu temple located near Pushkar Lake in Pushkar, India. The temple is dedicated to Lord Brahma and attracts millions of tourists from all over the world. The temple features colorful shrines and views of the lake at night.
Excellent temple and wonderful experience visiting here today! The street leading to the temple and the temple itself were very clean, much cleaner than our expectation. Not too crowded so we could stand in front of the deity for 5 min.
We left our car in the hotel as we were not sure of parking but there are paid parkings available around a kilometer before the temple.

This is the holy place for Hindus and considered as only temple of creator “Brahma”. The wall of outer section of temple has names of many people who contributed toward the temple. Temple atmosphere is bit louder as devotees offer their prayers. Photography is strictly prohibited in temple premises. Due to high rush there are good arrangements of security as well.
The outer street of temple are good to walk around as it connects the nearby ghats.

The Brahma Temple in Pushkar, Rajasthan, is a truly enchanting spiritual destination. As one of the very few temples dedicated to Lord Brahma, it holds immense significance for Hindu devotees. The temple's striking architecture and serene atmosphere create a soul-stirring experience for visitors. The peaceful lake nearby adds to the charm. However, the temple's popularity can lead to significant crowds, which may hinder a sense of tranquility. Additionally, more information about the temple's historical and cultural significance would enrich the visit. Nevertheless, the Brahma Temple remains an unmissable place to connect with divine spirituality in the heart of Rajasthan.

Only temple of Lord Brahma on this land so this is a special place with no doubt. Beautiful and serene with the pushkar lake beside. Very divine and positive place. However, believe me the temple administration or the concerned authorities should note that the cleanliness, proper queue system and a thorough following of set regulations happen at this divine place. Devotees travel from far and wide to reach here only to find themselves being pushed and pulled in the crowd after opening of doors for darshan. There were people clicking pictures, carrying heavy luggage etc inside the temple. The policeman stationed there objected o about bags only to those who were dressed differently from the local people!! The announcement done by some temple person was mostly Abudive towards a few devotees that too in the Mike!! The serene atmosphere was disturbed by unrelenting croud who didn't want to wait for their turn.
It's sad that such divine places are not bring looked into to improve tourist experiences!!

Brahma Temple located in Pushkar, Rajasthan is the most famous Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Brahma, who is considered the creator of the universe. The only temple dedicated to Brahma in India, it is one of the top 10 religious places in the world and the top 5 holy places of Hindus in India. Initially the construction of this temple was started by sage Vishwamitra, after which this temple was renovated several times under Adi Shankaracharya.

It is a very sacred site for Hindus and every year hundreds of people make pilgrimage to this place. Pushkar is said to have over 500 temples, most of which date back to the 18th century as the older temples were destroyed by the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb. Hence the temples were rebuilt and the largest and most prominent among them is the Brahma temple. The structure of the temple dates back to the 14th century but according to popular beliefs and legends, the temple is actually more than 2000 years old
History-
According to the Puranas, once Lord Brahma noticed a demon named Vajranabha, who was killing and torturing people. Then Brahma killed the demon with his special weapon lotus. During the fight, some lotus petals fell and when Brahma came to earth he named the place Pushkar.
Hence Brahma decided to perform a yagya or fire sacrifice at Jyeshtha Pushkar. However, his wife Savitri could not join him in this yagya. Irritated, he asked Lord Indra to provide him a wife so that he could perform the yagya. Then Indra brought before him Gayatri, the daughter of a Gujar, whom Brahma married. So Savitri reached the Yagya where seeing Gayatri she became angry and cursed Brahma that no one would ever worship her. Later he mitigated the curse by allowing his worship at some places, the most prominent of which was Pushkar.
Architecture of Brahma Temple Pushkar -
The Brahma Temple was originally built in the 14th century on the banks of the Pushkar River. You can reach the temple with the help of marble stairs. At the top of the main gate, a statue of a swan, the vehicle of Lord Brahma, can be seen. The main gate will take you to the main hall, also known as the mandapa. Then after this there is a sanctum sanctorum where Lord Brahma resides. In the temple a beautiful tortoise made of marble can be seen towards the sanctum. The marble floor in black and white tiles is filled with hundreds of silver coins offered to Lord Brahma by devotees. The walls here are decorated with attractive images of peacocks and Goddess Saraswati. There is also a silver door inside this temple which leads to a small cave which houses the temple of Lord Shiva. This idol of Lord Brahma is situated with four legs and four hands and his four faces are looking in four different directions. Lord Brahma idol is seated with his wives Savitri on his right and Gayatri on his left.
Festival in Brahmaji Temple Pushkar –
Talking about the festivals celebrated in Brahma Temple, there is no such festival which is celebrated in the temple but Kartik Purnima is considered to be the most auspicious day. Pushkar Fair, one of the most religious festivals of India, is organized in Pushkar on the full moon night of the Hindu lunar month of Kartik (October – November) on Kartik Purnima. There is a huge crowd of tourists and devotees in this fair. The Jagatpita Brahma Mandir or the Brahma Temple located in Pushkar, Rajasthan and is the most famous Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Brahma who is considered the creator of the universe. Being the only temple dedicated to Brahma in India, it attracts lakhs of pilgrims every year. Pushkar itself is famous for its religious importance and for the International Holi festival organised every year!
Pro tip: Go early morning to have peaceful darshan and then head on for breakfast to the most famous Rabri lassi, Malpua and Kachori samosa (with kadi) near GauGhat. Have your healthy lunch at the Shalom's cafe with some falafel.

Supposed to be a very important pilgrimage centre for the Hindus. But the spirituality is spoilt by the local guides who persuade and emotionally blackmail you to make donations. The place has a rich history and is worth the visit. But just close your ears and walk straight to the lake and then to the temple. You definitely don't need a guide. They will say it is free of cost and then slowly start nagging you to perform some rituals and make donations.

Visited the Brahma Temple in Pushkar, the only one in the world dedicated to Lord Brahma. The temple exuded a unique vibe, and the ambiance was serene. Unfortunately, authorities didn't permit photography or videos, hindering my plan to share the darshan with my mom via a video call. Regular announcements reinforced this policy.
On the positive side, the temple was well-maintained, and the atmosphere was peaceful with minimal queues. The surrounding market resonated with a holy aura. Overall, a spiritually enriching experience. Giving it a thumbs up!

Rajasthan’s well-known religious city, Pushkar is the most amazing and prominent and is the home of the rare Brahma Temple in the world. It is one of the very few religious temples devoted to Lord Brahma all across the globe. Named the Jagatpita Brahma Mandir, this temple addresses the entire city and is the reason behind the rapid boost of Pushkar Tourism in Rajasthan. Construction of this temple dates back to the 14th century while Indian Mythology believes the origin of this temple took place 2000 years back. Settled close to the sacred Pushkar Lake, the temple is a highly prominent landmark of the city with a large no. of tourists flocking here, especially during the occasion of Kartik Purnima.
Brahma Temple Pushkar as written in the sacred scriptures of the Hindu religion, Padma Purana, Lord Brahma once came across a demon named Vajranabha, killing and torturing people. Viewing such atrocities, the Lord slew the demon with a lotus flower (his special weapon). By doing so, some petals of the flower fell at three places on the ground. All those three spots have today turned into the three sacred lakes, which are today known as the Jyestha Pushkar, the Madhya Pushkar, and Kanishka Pushkar.
Later when the Lord made his visit to earth, he started with the preparations of a Yajna (fire Sacrifice) at the Jyestha Pushkar Lake, to perform the Yajna undisturbed by the demons, Lord Brahma created a chain of hills surrounding it. However, his wife Savitri was not available for Yajna and was disruptive of the proceedings.
On this, Lord Brahma requested Lord Indra to send him a suitable consort to complete the Yajna. When Gujar’s daughter, named Gayatri was finally sent to take the seat next to Brahma as his wife, Savitri arrived. Feeling disturbed, she cursed Brahma that the lord would never be worshipped by anyone. Later on, she permitted his worship only in Pushkar. This entitled that there’s only Brahma Temple that is worshipped
Entry timings in the temple:

The only temple of lord brahma built long back 2000 years ago👌👌 the entire city of pushkar has more than 400 plus temples but this is the most famous temple in the world. It is believed that it was built when lord brahma came at this point to perform a yajna , it was then this temple was built.
It is surrounded with holy water of pushkar lake which is considered very sacred. It is believed to worship the water and the. Visit the temple.
There are many local stories about the temple.
One of my favourite is that the city is named Pushkar because a Pushp (flower) felt from the hand of lord brahma and this holy water and city was formed.
All forms of gods have temples in each city nd town but lord brahma's temple is only found in pushkar.

The temple was dedicated to Lord Brahma, the creator of the universe. According to the Padma Purana, Lord Brahma was in search of a suitable place to perform a Yagna when the lotus was fell from his hand on the Earth. Miraculously a lake sprang up at the place where the Lotus touched the earth and Brahma considering it a good omen decided to perform his Yagna and named the town Pushkar. But when his wife Saraswati failed to join him, he married a local maiden Gayatri and completed the Yagna. On getting to know about this, an enraged Saraswati cursed Brahma that from this day forth he would be worshiped only in the land of Pushkar and nowhere else on Earth.
Alongside the statue of Lord Brahma, you'll find sculptures of Lord Indra and Lord Kuber at the temple entrance. Their presence adds to the spiritual vibe, giving devotees more divine energy to connect with when they visit. It's like a bonus blessing as you enter the temple.

Pushkar lake is in the Pushkar town of Rajasthan state. This is considered as one of the most sacred lakes for the Hindus. The holy temple of the creator-God Brahma is located here. This town is also famous for Pushkar Fair.
The Ghats are constructed all around the lake. We visited this place when we were driving down from New Delhi to Ahmedabad. We decided to stay overnight at Ajmer on our way back.
Since we reached early at Ajmer, we decided to visit the famous Pushkar temple and lake, which is about one hour from Ajmer. We wanted to take some short cut so we asked the local people, but we drove through the horrible road and it took double the time. (I should have trusted Google Map.)
The lake was not clean and we avoided to take a dip into the holy water. Unfortunately, as expected the pujari was chasing us and pushing for bigger puja. Pujari or Pandit told the mythological story of Brahma and that this is the only temple of Brahma in India, which is not true.
The guide is not necessary but we hired a guide who hooked up us with pandit for puja. It is easy to navigate into the town and narrow market place. Lots of variety shops were on both the sides of the road which sells very nice artifacts at reasonable price.
Overall not a pleasant experience but I could check mark one item from my bucket list.

Jantar Mantar, located in Jaipur, Rajasthan, is an 18th-century astronomical observatory and UNESCO World Heritage site. It showcases the scientific and astronomical expertise of Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II through a collection of large instruments designed to observe celestial phenomena with precision. The site features sundials, astronomical clocks, and measuring tools including the Samrat Yantra, the world's largest sundial.
One of the best old and rich science & engineering concepts I have ever visited. The items were manufactured with extreme precision. It clearly says the relationship between the position of sun and the time, really a beautiful place to visit with proper understanding. Do see some of the YouTube videos available on these concepts. You will also get a chance to see the video on the basic concepts from their office. A must visit place.

Jantar mantar is one of the most important and wonderful monument built by Raja Jai Singh II. There are total 5 Jantar Mantars in India- Jaipur, Delhi, Ujjain, Mathura and Varanasi. But today only functional one is at Jaipur and i have heard that the one in Mathura is demolished. The jantar mantar located in jaipur has 19 instruments.
The beauty of this monument is that you can find exact local time with the help of Sun. Hence it is sun based and would jot work during rainy season or in cloudy weather. Astrologically it is important as today also many astrologers visit to find the exact position of nakshatra. In older days this monument used to find local time and rashi and nakshatra of the new born, based on which the kundali was prepared. It even tells the in which sun sign the child is born and it has all 12 sun signs for further predictions. Hence those who follow sun signs, this place is master piece, as i mentioned earlier it is based on sun and it works during day time when sun is there.

I had an amazing time exploring the open solar observatory! It was truly fascinating to see how our ancestors understood astronomy. From predicting horoscopes to studying constellations, the depth of knowledge on display was impressive. Despite the crowds on weekends, getting tickets for 50rs each, either at the counter or through UPI, was easy. The puppet doll show was a delightful addition to the experience. Hiring a local guide was a great decision, as they helped navigate through the noise and explained everything in detail. Overall, it was a memorable and enriching visit!

Beautiful design of sun dial / sun clock.
Combination of Art, math calculation and prediction of sun movement.
Nice, fun and full of knowledge. While sight seeing, we can see the historical ways to tells time with math and logic calculation.
Good place to bring your family and kids along as we can do both having holiday while learning about historical time.
Minus is that no public parking nearby, you have to find parking bit far from Jantar Mantar. Of more wisely to use tuktuk or taxi to come here.
If you visit at noon, consider to use your hat and sunglasses, as it is a bit hot.

One of ancient architecture of Jaipur made by Jai Singh. It is the most interesting tourist spot of Jaipur. One can find out the different instruments for measurement of time. You can even find Vrihat Samrat Yantra (Largest of all Jai Singh's instruments). Please take a local guide to understand how time is measured with the help of sunlight. It is really interesting. Don't miss this place. Entry fees for Indians - 50 per person. You will be witness of extreme beauty of nature.

tldr; Absolutely mind blowing. Must visit, especially if you are interested in astronomy and mathematics.
This is a group of astrological instruments that mostly work on solar movement and the position of stars. You can see the gigantic creation and get yourself mesmerized with the level of accuracy and the maths that is involved.
There are a lot of yantra and each of them provides one or more data points, by combining them you can gather much more data about the movement of starts and time.
The big sundial was mind blowing, given the fact that it had ~2 second accuracy builds hundreds of years ago.
Don't miss this if you visit Jaipur. There is a video hall as well, where how each instrument works is explained in very simple language.

Exploring Jantar Mantar at 2:00 pm this afternoon was a fascinating dive into astronomical precision and historical ingenuity. The sundials and instruments, bathed in the afternoon sun, showcased the scientific brilliance of ancient Rajput astronomers. The clear skies allowed for a seamless understanding of the celestial measurements. Visiting Jantar Mantar in the afternoon provides an educational yet visually striking experience, unraveling the secrets of timekeeping and celestial observations in the heart of Jaipur.

If astronomy and maths are something you enjoy then this is the perfect site. It demonstrates the lengths the astronomers went to to map our position in the universe and shows a testament to their skill that everything remains so accurate. The precision in their engineering is astounding and in the modern day I feel what we can achieve with more advanced tools is not significantly better!

I didn't know what to expect at Jantar Mantar. I was pleasantly surprised by the structure. Moreover, I was impressed by the guide that had been arranged for us.
It was good to understand how the giant sundials have been made. It was also interesting to see that Jaipur is 33 minutes behind the time of India, as per the Sundial.
A must visit if you are a person whoi believes in astrology.

Amazing place if you're a curious space geek.

Heavily crowded. Tickets are available both via counter and through upi. 50rs per person. There's even puppet doll show which is unique to see. Definitely it's worth a visit since you get a ton of knowledge. Guides are very helpful here they explain how the instruments work.

This place is design at its best. Functional, aesthetic, simple, beautiful and literally timeless. These ancient instruments to calculate time, sun paths, moon phases including various Zodiacs (raashis)is quite a marvel. Do visit early to avoid crowds and the blaring heat (if visiting in summers). To understand this monument better, a guide is highly recommended. Not sure about their prices as i didn't hire one. Do not miss the small shrine at the east edge of the complex. It's quite a serene spot to relax.

The instruments are definitely a creation of genius minds. Very innovative and impressive. It's very clean, beautiful and well maintained. However, it is actually difficult for layman to understand the instruments and their significance. The description written and displayed there is not appropriately drafted which makes it all the more difficult to understand. Someone who is interested in science and geography may find it more fascinating to explore Jantar Mantar.

9. Located near City Palace, it's a great display of historical scientific artifacts.
10. We also got to watch a local free Katputli show in the same garden inside the premises.

W had very low expectations for this place. We had budgeted for less than an hour and ended up
spending more than two hours. The reason - a good English speaking guide.
He explained very well and our interest in astronomy made the difference. The instruments made 100s of years ago and technology that existed was amazing.
Spend some time there and get a good guide and that will make a difference.

What a beautiful place it is !!
Jantar Mantar is one of the historical monuments in Jaipur (Rajasthan).
This is one of the five Jantar Mantar(s). This is still functional. This place is very well maintained. The added photo is the biggest sun dial, and the time depicted here is very close to the exact one (less than 10 seconds). The best time to visit is winter time (Dec - Feb) and during day light and clear sky. Clear sky let the sun light make a shadow and you will relate with all the sun dials here and understand it's functioning.
Happy Learning !!

Gangori Bazaar, J.D.A. Market, Pink City, Jaipur, Rajasthan 302002, India
The City Palace in Jaipur is an opulent 18th-century palace that once served as the residence of Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II and is now a museum. It's a popular historical attraction known for its beautiful collection of paintings, textile gallery, armory, Durbar hall, BaggiKhana, and SarvatoBhadraor (Diwan E-Khas) with exquisite architectural beauty.
It is a beautiful place to visit during day. Very photogenic place. A link of royal lineage, feel the royalty genre.
Remember to take a guide as it will be worth to take one otherwise you would come out without knowing the history and importance of this palace. There is a market inside the palace where local handcrafted items are displayed, prices are on higher side but if you want to support local craftsmanship then please buy from them as the money you spend here will directly help these awesome local creative people, most of them has received recognition from PM and government of India.

Jaipur is one city that transports you back to the Rajput era the moment you set foot there. It is dotted with architectural wonders and that is the reason why the city sees a good tourist footfall all year round. One such architectural delight right at the center of Jaipur is the City Palace; a symbol of the regal and royal days of the city.
City Palace is a building that has preserved the history of the city and is an icon of grandeur. Once you enter the palace all you can do is stand transfixed by its beauty while you soak in the marvelous architecture and the artifacts inside the palace. City Palace used to be the home for the royal family of Jaipur but later it was divided into two parts; one which contains few courtyards and museums and the other where the royal family still resides.

Nice palace complex in Jaipur with some interesting little exhibits in museums, the armour and weapons one being the highlight. The complex itself has a bunch of ticket options, with the most beautiful areas reserved for an expensive guided experience, so if you want to just look through yourself without a guide you won’t be able to see these nice parts of the place.
The basic combined ticket for 700 rupees will let you wander around the different areas and museums of the place which was still nice but it would be good to have an option to see the other parts on your own.

Brilliant show of ancient and traditional designs and blend of colours.
I would recommend to go in without a guide as there is not much history to explain. Even a small intro video would be more than enough for it.

It's a photogenic place but overcrowded.

The one of the best places in Jaipur and the most beautiful thing about this is there is still the king is here and if the flag hosted there is two the king is inside the palace, the architecture, paintings, dresses ,wow the main reason why everyone are still visiting India is that even without technology, mechanical advancement they managed to do amazing, extraordinary instruments which was perfectly based on calculation
Cons-
Rate for things which is sold inside is hell expensive but its usual in tourism spots ,
We must depend on local guide or packages and the places near are little dangerous and don't fell for scams
- i prefer taking food from were you are departing

The ticket to see all rooms is incredibly expensive. But they are also some of the most beautiful I’ve seen on my trip tomorrow so far. Plus, given the price, there aren’t many people in line to take pictures. The building itself is 5 stars.
Be aware, that the tour guide adds - as always and super annoying - a shop to this tour. Just be prepared to not be scammed. There seems to be not price in the world you can pay to avoid tour guides in this city to not bring you to their best friends shop. He made us leave the palace and where then being brought back.
I should suggest there must be a way for the ticket office to prevent such things. It’s highly annoying and always gives the whole experience a taste of bitterness.

2-3 hours are more than sufficient to visit this place including group photographs sessions.

Places like photography hall, weapons hall are quite good.
There are few shops and restaurants situated inside this place.

It's a must visit if you're in Jaipur. The city palace is so named after the residence of the royal highness. It was built hundreds of years back.
There are various types of tickets available to enter it ranging from 300 to 3500 rupees. The 300 rs ticket will give you access to the museum and the outer part of the city palace, the 1500 rs ticket will give you access to the inside of the city palace whereas the 3500 one includes visit to the royal blue coloured palace that you'll find in the pictures.
We went with a 300 rupees entry as we were short of time and that only took an easy 3-4 hours with the help of a tour guide. Moreover, if you'll take a guide they'll take you to all the shops and artisans inside so be mindful of what you want to buy and what not to.

Worth visiting for folks who enjoy museums.
•Upkeep and maintenance by the royal family + trust there I believe the 200 INR (Indian Adult) per person may be justified.
•There are other more expensive ticket option available where you are allowed to see more galleries. Read about it on jaipurtouriam.co.in before hand because upon arrival there will be guides harassing you with all kinds of random information.
•Speaking of guides, expect haggling and general annoyance where they will follow you around and urge you to hire them, ofcourse for a fee (500 INR+). Expect this at all tourist places in Jaipur. In my opinion it is absolutely not worth the money because the information they tell you is often not correct and nothing more than what is already available on blogs/websites and also the plaques put in place for tourists to read. Moreover they hurry you along, skip galleries that tend to take longer and push their own agenda on you by taking you to shops so thay they earn further comission.
• City Palace with the 200 INR ticket has 4 Galleries open for view other than the Palace Grounds 1: Armoury 2: Royal Textiles 3: Painting and photographs 4: The royal court. Other than the palace grounds photography is prohibited.
• Overall worth visiting for a few hours. There is also a restaurant and cafe inside but due to pandemic and generally poor reviews didn't try them.

Hawa Mahal, also known as the Palace of Winds, is a significant landmark in Jaipur. Built in 1799, this stunning palace was designed as a high screen wall made of pink and red sandstone with 953 jharokhas or windows. It allowed royal women to observe street festivities while maintaining their privacy due to the purdah system.
Hawa Mahal is one of the main attractions of Jaipur.
You can click pictures here from outside without giving any money or take a ticket for 50/-(Indian) and visit from inside as well.
The view from outside is different in the morning and evening.
I'll suggest something between 5-6 so, you can see both the views.

There are 2 cafes in front of hawa Mahal the food there is amazing.
Enjoy your trip. 👍

Hawa Mahal is the heart of Jaipur city.... Beautiful, symmetric and mesmerizing !!!
Are situated in the main city and is thus generally crowded, especially in the evening.
It has been a year since I visit at this palace. And I'm still in a hangover of this beautiful palace.
The entry fees is rupees 50 per head. And you are allowed cameras and mobile phones and all your bags with you. On entering the palace you see a beautiful fountain which is a good place for taking pictures as the palace will also be visible in the background.
Then you just have to climb and keep climbing the stairs tell you reach the top. From there you have the citi's aerial view. There are multi coloured glasses on the window covers that looks really beautiful. In the place is usually windy on the top.
A few things that I found amazing about this palace are mini windows on the gallery, the symmetry of the palace, colourful windows and the city view from the top.
Really had a great experience visiting this palace "The Heart of the Pink City- Jaipur" !!

A very nice place of historical value. This place is more for people who love ancient monuments and architecture. Although there isn't a great deal inside to explore, it's nice place to get some good photos. Entry ticket costs 52 as of the time of writing this. You will spend about 40 mins inside.
However, this place is beautifully lit at night and many people come to take photos, due to which the road gets congested.

A very cool structure that is a must see in Jaipur. I was looking around while driving, and all of a sudden it’s just there! Pops out of nowhere, so be prepared. The street was over crowded and busy! Tons of cars so it was difficult to even cross the street and get a full on view. Crowds make it a bit harder to get a full, unobstructed view of it. But it is beautiful and well worth it! An historic piece worth seeing.

Title: Mesmerizing Night View at Hawa Mahal, Jaipur
I recently had the opportunity to visit the iconic Hawa Mahal in Jaipur during the evening hours, and the experience was nothing short of enchanting. The stunning architecture of this historical monument comes alive under the magical glow of the night lights, creating a truly mesmerizing sight that left me in awe.
As I stood in front of the intricately designed facade of the Hawa Mahal, I couldn't help but marvel at the intricate lattice work and the countless windows that allowed the cool evening breeze to flow through. The play of light and shadow on the sandstone walls gave the structure a mystical aura that transported me back in time to the royal era of Rajasthan.
The lively atmosphere around the Hawa Mahal added to the charm of the visit, with street vendors selling local snacks and souvenirs, and crowds of visitors enjoying the beauty of the monument. The view from the top floors of the Hawa Mahal offered a panoramic vista of Jaipur city illuminated by the shimmering lights, making it a picture-perfect moment that I will cherish forever.
Overall, the night visit to Hawa Mahal was a delightful experience filled with history, culture, and scenic beauty. I would highly recommend this enchanting spot to anyone visiting Jaipur, especially during the evening hours when the monument truly shines in all its glory.
In conclusion, my visit to Hawa Mahal under the night sky was a memorable and breathtaking experience that exceeded all my expectations. It's a must-visit destination for anyone seeking to soak in the vibrant heritage and architectural marvels of Jaipur.
Happy Travels,

A Majestic Marvel: Exploring the Grandeur of Hawa Mahal in Jaipur.
Hawa Mahal is a captivating masterpiece of architecture in Jaipur, where you can immerse yourself in history, capture beautiful photos, and experience the vibrant culture of the city. Its distinctive honeycomb-like facade adorned with intricate latticework is a visual delight. As the sun began its descent, the iconic structure, also known as the "Palace of Winds," seemed to come alive with a golden hue, casting a mesmerizing glow over the intricate honeycomb facade. Hawa Mahal is a must-visit. However, the traffic management around the area could be improved. Strolling through the bustling bazaars surrounding Hawa Mahal, the lively atmosphere and vibrant street life heightened the overall experience.

During my most recent trip to Jaipur, I was awestruck by the Hawa Mahal, which is a magnificent marvel that deserves to be admired. It is a testament to Jaipur's rich architectural tradition that this monumental edifice, which is sometimes referred to as the "Palace of Winds," was once built. Both the elaborate lattice work and the pink sandstone masonry are examples of a genuinely exceptional combination of engineering and artistic skill.
One can get a look into the royal past of Jaipur by visiting the Hawa Mahal, which is a popular tourist attraction. Not only does the one-of-a-kind design, which features a multitude of windows, serve as an architectural wonder, but it also offers a practical answer to the region's sweltering heat, enabling the royal ladies to view street festivities in a discrete manner.
The amenities at the Hawa Mahal are kept in good condition, and there are instructive plaques posted throughout the building that provide historical context and specifics about the landmark. The procedure for entering is easy, and the personnel is well-informed and willing to assist as needed. The panoramic views that can be seen from the upper levels are quite beautiful and provide a wonderful vantage point from which to take in the splendor of the city.
In close proximity to the Hawa Mahal is a lively shopping district that contributes to the region's overall allure. Shopping enthusiasts will find a veritable paradise in the bustling bazaars that surround the palace. These bazaars sell traditional Rajasthani handicrafts, textiles, and jewelry. Exploring the adjacent markets and participating in the culture of the area is a pleasant experience that one should not miss out on.
In conclusion, the Hawa Mahal is highly recommended as a site in Jaipur since it not only provides an insight into the royal history of the city but also provides an experience that is visually magnificent. The facilities, in conjunction with the shopping areas that are located nearby, make it a well-rounded excursion that offers the ideal combination of historical significance and the vitality of the local community.

Amber Palace, also known as Amer Fort, is a stunning architectural marvel in Jaipur that showcases an exquisite blend of Indian and Mughal styles. This historical site was home to wealthy Maharajas and features intricate designs in pink and yellow sandstone with white marble embellishments. Visitors can enjoy elephant rides up the cobbled path to experience royal treatment. The fort's beauty has been preserved through centuries of war and conflict, making it a must-see attraction.
Amazing experience. The fort is beautiful and the guide takes you around the fort explaining all the details and key notes about the history. There are several view points and photography points to take good pictures. You can also take elephant ride inside the fort. Must visit palace!

Must visit, before reading Wiki or after hiring a guide but beware..you will end up buying the stuff you don't need. Tip - visit at the earliest to get ample parking space. Take your car and follow google map, it will show you entire path till parking on top. Any car can go above, provided you can drive or if it's an old car, you can still go with ease if you simply reach there early morning around 8. Ticker counter opens at 8AM

The fort is marvelous! It has got all the pomp it could have. You will start enjoying its beauty as we touch the road towards the fort. There are elephant rides that take you to the fort, which foreigners hardly miss😅. It is very big, every structure in the fort is intricately decorated, thoughtfully created. I think it's one of the few forts in India which stands with that level of preservation. This fort is truly an identity of the 'Gulabi Sheher'! Jaipur trip can't be complete without a visit to Amber fort.

Lovely fort. Must visit if you are in Jaipur and you love forts. The place is humongous. The front portion of the fort looks mesmerizing with the lake in front. Try to visit there as early as possible. The place holds so much history and is built for such a long time. Every section of the fort has something or other to offer. Check out all the places. Just imagining while standing there as what it might have felt in its prime is magnificent.

Jaipur trip must start with Amer/Amber fort. Highly recommended to visit in evening so that one can enjoy the lights in the Palace.
Hire a local guide and a Jeep to carry you from the parking space to the top of fort. May try personal vehicle if familiar.
There is a light and sound show but locals don't recommend it.
Hiring the guide is must to understand the history of the palace.

Incredible, beautiful and well maintained, Huge in area and would take whole day to see the fort. The fort amazing example of a well maintained fort. Has a very detailed explanation of how the fort was built, its significance along with explanation on each. The view you get of the fort when you are about to reach the fort is quite mesmerizing. Definitely worth visiting if you are in Jaipur. Do check out Nahargarh too if you can, feel the royalty of king as well as feel the beauty of this place. I would like to recommend you please go early morning after 9. Am so you can see full fort .This is very big fort you need whole day to see all.

It is a great historical place, if you are planning to see tourist places in Jaipur you must visit this particular place. It is advisable to hire only an official guide which has been available on the upper side of the palace near the ticket counter.

Amber Fort needs maintenance, Although it is declared as a world heritage site. Such as restoration of painting, walls, etc, so that it can attract more visitors. They need to maintain parking facilities at the front and rear gates.

A historical palace and a must visit fort in Jaipur. This fort will take around 2-3 hours to visit entirely. The interiors of the fort are mesmerizing. If you take the guide, they will explain all the history of the palace, which is very interesting. There is a cave from within the palace that goes to Jaigarh fort, but it closes at 4. The fort looks even better in the evening when the lighting starts.
You can either walk up the stairs to reach the palace, or take a jeep (Rs. 500 per jeep for up and down) or take your own car to the top where there is parking space available.
There is also a light and sound show that tells the history of the fort's construction and expansion. The entrance of the light and sound show is at a different place outside the palace. You can take your own car to the light and sound show place, won't recommend taking the auto or jeep from the parking for this.

Fantastic place with so much history. Make sure to get a guide (400 or so rupees) to really learn what this beautiful place was all about. Massive palace sitting on the mountain in the middle of a jungle. Such a wonder how these structures were built so long ago and are still standing so sturdy today. The sun and water palace is amazing.

City of forts and palaces - Jaipur. When you are driving from Delhi Amber Palace is the 1st palace you will encounter. This Palace is located 10-12km form city on the outskirts overlooking the city. Its a very huge palace from where you can see the walls on the hills. We visited here around 15:00 in April. It was very hot. If you are reaching in noon do take a water bottle and a cap. Don't get in touch with any local guide as they give wrong information's. We can take our own vehicle up and till the entrance of the palace.
This palace needs an entry ticket of 50/- per head (Both offline & online available). Also, night light show is available and it starts from 19:00 till 22:00 with 21:30 as last entry. A beautiful place to see the sunset tooo.
Enjoy the beauty of AMBER Palace/.!!
Cheers guys.!!🙌🍻

Fort is beautiful. It gets really hot during the summer so recommended travel is in slightly cooler days. There is no wheel chair accessibility to the top. There are folks asking for elephant rides near the ticket counter, it’s a humble request do not do it - since the elephants are poorly treated and sometimes they scam you by taking you nowhere.

One of the best places in Jaipur. The fort is simple and neat. The fort's narrow route through the Amer Village is a unique experience that comes along. Note: Opting out a guide will be a good add-on.
(There is a "light Show" after 7:30pm, but i missed it.)

A must see in Jaipur. It’s grandeur and beauty is well maintained and the view from the palace is awesome. Be prepared for a long walk. I recommend visiting early in the morning, with a guide and possibly during off season. We were told that during peak season the wait time for vehicles to climb the hill is 2 hours or more. Do visit the ancient temples nearby.

Bhangarh Fort is a complex of historical significance, built in 1631, featuring the remains of Hindu temples, royal palaces and tombs. Located about 1.5 hours away from Jaipur, this landmark is rumored to be one of India's most haunted places but it has been well-maintained and offers beautiful views. It is advisable to take a government-approved guide who can narrate interesting stories about the place while exploring its ruins.

I had a long time wish to visit this " Haunted" fort, so made it on October 2nd.
Far from being haunted, it's a well constructed fort, built in a lovely natural location, surrounded by lush green hills forming a natural Boundary.
Though it is partly ruined, with buildings having NO roofs, it's a very nicely designed fort, well laid out buildings, market place, temples, etc, with exquisite architecture, paintings on walls, roof, etc.
The whole complex seems to have experienced a natural disaster like earthquake, bringing down buildings & in turn killing all people, hence the stories about being haunted.
Visit it if you get a chance, it's beautiful.

It's probably the most peaceful attraction in India. Even though it's one of the most haunted places in the world, it's really worth a visit during the day. The city must have been very gigantic in the past. Get a local tour guide so you would enjoy the interesting story behind it. Night visits are not allowed. Try to come out before dawn.

No water or toilets.

I saw many reptiles and insects in real like bat and this worm 🪱. Go there on a good weather day . And you have to buy tickets for 2 times. While parking your vehicle and while entering. You can't park anywhere around because it's not allowed . Hope it was helpful. Thank you ✨

A stunning abandoned fort on the shadows of the Aravalli Hills, the ruins include rows of old bazar buildings, temples, gates, gardens and a palace.
The location, setting, strangler fog trees and overall appeal make this place otherworldly and something out of a movie set.
Come during the end of the day towards sunset and the entire place is yours, but leave before it’s completely dark or else you might be locked in which will be a bad idea.

The fort's grounds are peaceful throughout the day because of the little waterfall and temples that have been painstakingly sculpted there. The ruins of a few palaces located inside the fort are convincing evidence of the fort's former glory. Bhangarh fort is situated in Aravali hills in Alwar district. The fort has been made famous as it’s termed a most ‘haunted’ fort of India or even Asia.
It is a ruined fort city with five temples, a bazar, Purohit Ki Haveli, Nathan ki Haveli and a reconstructed palace.
Interesting to note that no statues are available inside the temples or in palace. Bazaar and Havelis are roofless.
Fort was constructed in 1573 by Raja Bhagwant Das. It is not clear as to how and when the fort was abandoned.
Guide may tell interesting stories of black magic, tantric and ghosts which are amusing. Better hear from him and enjoy!
Scenery is beautiful.
Opens at 9 in the morning and closes by 5 or 5.30 depending on season.
Charges for parking and entry.
No restaurant inside or nearby.
Afternoons are hot.

Bhangarh fort was established by Madho Singh, the younger brother of Man Singh. It was a planned city with walls all around and four gates. It was a busy commercial center of its time. Folklore has it that it was cursed by a hermit who lived on the nearby hill top and the fort became deserted overnight. It became a ghost town and still now has the distinction of being labelled as one of the most haunted places on Earth. There are four temples inside the fort but only one, the Someshwar Mahadev, has a deity in it. No one is allowed to stay in the fort after sunset and only eight guards remain at the main gate, near a Hanuman temple. There have been reports of many paranormal activities & accidents in the past but the last twenty years or so have not witnessed any such things. The fort is maintained in a very good condition and the tickets are reasonably priced at ₹25/-. Private parking is also available @ ₹100/- per vehicle. It is around 100 km from Alwar and 30 km from Dausa on Alwar Dausa road. The road condition is not good.

Need a full day to visit here, no other site seeing you can include in this trip. If you have extra time in hand then you can visit here. Otherwise not much to see.
Now Guides are available there. They charge differently depending on the tourist. So bargain hard.
Otherwise if you know the fort background story then you can roam around also.
Beware of Monkeys. Don't carry foods.

Spent three days here. Sariska is a charming and peaceful locale & this resort comes well recommended when on a visit.
Was a lovely experience because of outstanding hospitality by the entire resort staff who smilingly and eagerly took up all our requests.
Infact this very aspect has made the resort a truly memorable place for us.
The resort features pleasant rooms, a pool, big lawns and a scenic backdrop of the Aravalli mountains.
Another thing which we really enjoyed were all the meals there, which were uniformly excellent. Different cuisines were served. Coupled with this was the very inviting way in which all guests were looked after in the Dining Hall.
Rajasthani folk dance & popular music, a DJ and dance floor and provisions for private bonfires in the lawns made things festive at night.

Village Dhawala, Alwar - Jaipur Rd, Rajasthan 301001, India
Hindu temple with carved pillars & domes, set in gardens with fountains & illuminated at night.
No words can describe this place. This place is so beautiful that you will forget about everything else.
We went here on Saturday evening and the place was superr crowded. There are a lot of exhibits to see here and the main attraction is the temple.
It is advisable to go here in the evening as they do a light show and they also do a grand musical fountain starting from 7:30 to 8pm daily.
They have a CANTEEN also here where you can find few things to eat and it is not expensive
There is NO PARKING place here and evenings are super crowded so it is advisable to not drive here at all. It is better to walk and take a rickshaw.
They don't charge entry fee anywhere, you will have to pay only in the canteen for what you eat.

Prem Mandir in Vrindavan is a beautiful temple. It looks amazing during the day and becomes magical at night with pretty lights. You should visit both times to enjoy it fully. There's a cool fountain show with videos at night as well. It gets crowded on weekends, so come on weekdays for a quieter visit. You'll find lots of yummy food stalls and shops nearby too.

Very beautiful temple. But much crowded in the weekend. I visited on a weekend. Don't carry bags. Be careful with your belongings while staying in queue. Outside the temple, it was much traffic due to crowds in the evening. There are a lot of sweet shops and restaurants outside the temple. E.rickshaw can be got outside temple

Detailing and carvings are to be noticed closely. Amazing infrastructure and lighting. People are not allowed to take a look around nearby temple as it can be easily damaged.
The beauty of the temple will leave you awestruck. Evening is the best time to visit this place.

It's more like a religious entertainment centre than a temple of worship. We came around 7:30pm and experienced their fountain show. It's huge, there's a lot to see but the focus is definitely on the fountains, displays etc. No bags allowed + thorough checking even with stampede level of crowd.
Dr. Nivedita Ghosh — Google review
Very beautiful temple, this is my first visit to this temple I have heard about but it is really amazing in real. The temple is very beautiful all this design and style is amazing, all the life events of Lord Krishna beautifully crafted on walls of temple.
There is also a theme park arround the temple where some stories of Lord Krishna a shown.
To really experience the beauty of this temple one has to visit in the evening time when the light show and fountain show started they make this temple more beautiful.
The crowd management is a lack from temple management they have to make more efforts in handling of the crowd.

I will describe my experience at this beautiful temple in 5 points:
1. The temple architecture is so soothing for eyes.
2. For devotees it's a treat to visit temple dedicated to the charming, loving and Divine Lord Krishna.
3. The Cleanliness is at par with any best standard.
4. There is a canteen also inside the temple where the quality of food is also good in reasonable price.
5. In the nights the view of the temple becomes more exuberant.

People who love to roam, it is a very good place to visit, definitely go here, you will get a new experience, but never go here alone, rather go in a group because the lonely person gets bored while roaming and the people of the group interact with each other. in conversation. The tickets are heavily priced. It’s a theatre where you can watch shows with nice visually effects like Zangoora & Jhumru. Went with parents. Show is nice. The place is nice too. You can check out tickets on nearbuy for any deals or discounts.
Better to go on weekdays since there is lesser rush & ticket prices are lesser. Better to book tickets in advance online.
Food is not included in tickets. There is a nice food court where you can buy food against coupons. There is a nice landscaping and artificial sky roof types.
There is a fantasy park for kids which has separate tickets.
Kingdom of Dreams entry fees – Diamond, Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze. Diamond tickets cost ₹2999 per person on weekdays and ₹3999 per person on weekends. Platinum tickets are priced at ₹2499 per person (weekdays) and ₹2999 per person (weekends) and Gold tickets cost ₹1999 and ₹2499.

You will get here famous street food of popular Indian states and also you can get yourself a souvenir which would represent Indian culture from a particular state. However, since Covid, the place is still closed and yet to be open again. Eager to visit this amazing place again.

You will say, Wow! It’s so beautiful and very unique of its own kind.
A lot of parking is available outside. In the night, it shines like a dream palace. A wonderful place for family to spend an amazing evening. A lot of options for dining; from all over the India. They do have the culture event showing the diversity and the colors of Indian heritage.
I have been there with family 2-4 times and my family enjoyed it thoroughly.

I'll rate my visit to KOD somewhat between above average and good.
Primary attraction is the show that you will book. I've been to Zangoora and it was worth the price I paid. It was live stage artists performing as per story line. Full of music and dance. Total duration of show is 3 hours including 20 minutes break.
For 2 visitors, it will cost you around ₹ 4000 to ₹ 5000 comfortably (as per my visit in January 2020) including food that you buy and tickets for show (one show). Shopping (if you do) will cost you additional.
Entry to cultural gali is complimentary free (no additional charge to pay as entry fee) ONLY IF you have purchased tickets for any show.
If you are not interested to watch the theatre show then entey fee will apply however you can redeem that charge in shopping or eating in Cultural Gali.
Photography is allowed everywhere EXCEPT in the theatre during the ongoing show.
I'll rate cultural gali 3/5 stars. It is more like a food court however it is designed so good that it becomes an attraction there. It represents a very brief cultural prints of some states of India.

Nice place to go with friend and family. It has a beautiful wall sculpture and many water fountains. There is playing area for kids also. The food is amazing and does provide multiple varieties of eating options. They also conduct cultural programs. They have a parking facility and can park above 100 cars at a time. The Lotus Temple, also known as the Bahá’í House of Worship, is a religious site that opened in 1986 and welcomes people of all religions. This distinctive place of worship in South Delhi resembles India's national flower with its ethereal marble construction. The temple's nine overlapping walls enclose a single cavernous interior space, reflecting the Bahai Temples' practice of being open to all.
The Lotus Temple in Delhi is a remarkable architectural marvel and a symbol of unity and peace.
The temple is not only a visual delight but also a place of spiritual significance. It welcomes people from all backgrounds, religions, and beliefs to meditate, pray, or simply find solace in its serene environment. The central hall, devoid of religious icons or images, promotes a sense of unity and oneness among visitors.
Surrounded by lush green gardens and pools, the Lotus Temple provides a serene escape from the bustling city of Delhi. Its unique design, inclusive philosophy, and peaceful ambiance make it a must-visit attraction for both tourists and those seeking a moment of tranquility in the heart of the capital city. However, it's essential to be respectful of the temple's rules and maintain the silence and serenity that define this sacred space.

Very beautiful and peaceful place...... Garden around the temple is a treat for the eyes ❤️ . Although be watchful for the timings or you will have to wait in long queue.
1. Don't bring FOOD, you cannot take food inside.
2.Visit in morning hours, you will enjoy everything more comfortably as for evening times there is a lot of rush and heat.
3. Don't disobey instructions....as for my experience staff is very rude and their way of correcting you will not be very good.
4. Watch for kids...They may get lost in the crowd as i have seen with my own eyes
5.It is a temple of peace but their is a huge rush of visitors that you are rarely going to experience any ☮️ peace.
Ankur — Google review
This is a beautiful place and I really love going there but infrequently ofcourse because massive crowd is there all the time. Though I really appreciate the work authorities have done to keep the place cleaned and hygienic but it would be nice to have a ticket to go in so that we can help the temple grow. Lets say maybe 10 rupees so that everyone can afford it. Our small contributions can make it grow better and help them who puts our efforts to keep this place best. That idea can help creating a proper queue so that people can come in line.
Its just an idea but ill leave them for them to decide.
Overall above good.

Beautiful place. The garden has been built on a very large lining. Before going inside the Lotus temple, a bag is given on which you have to keep your footwear and after coming out of the temple you have to return that bag, I liked this method very much. The purpose of making Lotus temple was that people of all religions should come here, sit and meditate peacefully and pray. There is a big prayer meet inside the temple where you can sit and meditate for as long as you want.

The Lotus Temple, located in Delhi, India, is a remarkable architectural masterpiece and a symbol of unity and spirituality. I had the privilege of visiting this awe-inspiring structure, and it left a lasting impression on me.
The Lotus Temple's design, resembling a blooming lotus flower, is simply breathtaking. The white marble exterior is immaculate and stands out against the lush green surroundings. It's not just a place of worship but also a work of art.
Upon entering, you're welcomed by a serene atmosphere and a sense of tranquility. What makes this place unique is that it's open to people of all religions and beliefs, emphasizing the universality of spiritual quest.
The temple encourages silence and reflection, making it a peaceful oasis in the bustling city of Delhi. It's a place where you can sit, meditate, or simply enjoy the stunning architecture.
The only minor downside is the crowd, as it's a popular tourist attraction. However, it's a testament to the temple's significance and beauty.
In summary, the Lotus Temple is a must-visit for anyone traveling to Delhi. It's a testament to the power of architecture, spirituality, and inclusivity, and it offers a truly peaceful and inspiring experience.

I expected serene and peaceful atmosphere but instead I got huuuuuge crowds, first queue to enter the grounds and second queue to enter the temple itself. Maybe because it was Sunday afternoon. There is only one path that's not restricted so crowds have nowhere to disperse and you can't just walk around the grounds. Inside of the temple is a nice and quiet but nothing special from architectural point of view. From the outside the design is very interesting though

The Lotus temple is a secular place of worship and contemplation. The entry is free for all which makes this a popular tourist spot. As a result the waiting time can get pretty long so plan accordingly. The grounds are beautiful and immaculately maintained.
You are required to remove your shoes before climbing the more than 50 steps to the temple entrance. The inside is a tranquil sanctuary with lots of chairs to sit and contemplate life.

Although the entry inside is restricted at this Covid, but being in the campus is such peaceful. Calmness and peace can be felt here, such pure energy. Campus is well maintained, free of cost to enter and see the beauty around. The cleanliness is commendable, so is the staff behaviour. You can see varieties of flowers and well maintained trees. A must visit with your loved ones.

A very beautiful temple. The surrounding is clean and the garden is well-maintained. The view is amazing.
Inside it's very calm and quite. There's nothing much inside, just a bunch chairs and a table. You can stay inside for as long as you want but you can't make noise or use phones.
While going inside the temple grounds, you are not allowed to bring any kind of foods and beverages(except water) and all bags or backpacks will be checked. If you have a camera with you then you have to submit your ID card at the check gate.

Lotus Temple is a recent monument in the historical city of Delhi, and owing to its beautiful design and free entry, it is one of the popular sites for Delhites. Full marks for cleanliness and security. But it is too crowded on holidays (as it has free entry), and there is littering all around the boundaries. People have no respect for our monuments and lack sense of cleanliness, which should be developed among ourselves.

Nice place to see bhaai temple. You can expand for 30 minutes time here. It is a nice eye catching place. Inside the temple nothing except the seating area or you can say prayer area. The Lotus Temple is located in New Delhi, India. It is famous for its lotus-like shape and has become a prominent attraction in the city. The building comprises 27 free-standing marble-clad "petals" arranged in three clusters to form nine sides, with nine doors opening onto a central hall with a height of slightly over 34 meters and a capacity of 1,300 people. Inspired by the lotus flower, which is composed of 27 free-standing marble-clad "petals" arranged in clusters of three to form nine sides. The temple's shape is symbolic and inter-religious because the lotus is often associated with purity, sacredness, spirituality, and knowledge. The nine doors of the Lotus Temple open onto a central hall 34.3 meters tall that can seat 1,300 people and hold up to 2,500. The temple has a diameter of 70 m. The Lotus Temple property comprises 26 acres and nine surrounding ponds and gardens.

The Lotus Temple is undeniably a beautiful structure, with its stunning architectural design reminiscent of a blooming lotus flower. However, if you're seeking mental peace, this might not be the ideal destination due to the bustling crowds and constant activity.
While the temple offers a picturesque backdrop for a photo shoot, the serenity one might expect to find here is often overshadowed by the sheer number of visitors. The peaceful ambiance often sought after for quiet contemplation may be elusive amidst the hustle and bustle.
Nevertheless, the sheer beauty of the Lotus Temple's architecture is undeniable and worth experiencing. Despite the crowds, it remains a remarkable testament to artistry and creativity. So, if you're prepared for the lively atmosphere and appreciate captivating architecture, a visit to the Lotus Temple can still be a memorable experience.

Entry closes by 5PM sharp, entry to temple/garden is absolutely free.
This temple is such a wonderful architectural marvel. Garden is so huge, beautiful and very well managed. Although entry in garden isn’t allowed.
There’s a pathway (long corridor) that leads to temple you can walk along the garden and get some amazing pictures.
There’s no idol inside so it’s not a worshipping temple. You can sit and do dhyan.
Parking is available on the opposite side of the temple.

Be aware that you must take your shoes off and put them in a bag walking up to the temple. Inside there are no pictures or talking allowed. Not a very picturesque place inside, but a good place to pray or meditate.

This is a beautiful, no doubt about it...but you cannot go there to relax or have any peace of mind. They are huge queues and the entire ground is restricted. You are allowed to only use the footpaths. During the huge rush, that space is not sufficient. What's the point of having a massive complex with a huge garden if you are not allowed to leave the footpath. There is also very minimal parking in this area. The access road is narrow.
Overall, not a place to go if you are looking for a peaceful time..

India Gate, located at the eastern end of Raj Path in New Delhi, is a grand triumphal arch that serves as a war memorial for Indian soldiers who lost their lives in World War I. Designed by renowned architect Edward Lutyens and inaugurated in 1921, it commemorates over 70,000 Indian soldiers who perished during the war. The monument also honors more than 13,500 British and Indian soldiers killed in the Afghan war of 1919.
Lovely lighting at night. Reading the names of the soldiers who laid down their lives and explaining the same to kids generates a patriotic feeling! Just near the India Gate is the National War Museum, which is beautifully made. Again, reading all the names of the soldiers who laid down their lives for our country stresses the need for peace. A thoughtful place, and it leaves a mark on your heart.

'Akshardham' means the divine abode of God. It is hailed as an eternal place of devotion, purity and peace. Swaminarayan Akshardham at New Delhi is a Mandir – an abode of God, a Hindu house of worship, and a spiritual and cultural campus dedicated to devotion, learning and harmony. Timeless Hindu spiritual messages, vibrant devotional traditions and ancient architecture all are echoed in its art and architecture. The mandir is a humble tribute to Bhagwan Swaminarayan (1781- 1830), the avatars, devas and great sages of Hinduism. The traditionally-styled complex was inaugurated on 6 November 2005 with the blessings of HH Pramukh Swami Maharaj and through the devoted efforts of skilled artisans and volunteers.
Each element of Akshardham echoes with spirituality – the Mandir, the Exhibitions and even the Gardens.
The Akshardham mandir has over two hundred murtis, representing many of the spiritual stalwarts over many millennia. The spiritual premise of Akshardham is that each soul is potentially divine. Whether we are serving the family, the country our neighbors or all living beings the world over , each service can help one move towards divinity. Each prayer is a call towards improving oneself and moving closer to God.
A visit to Akshardham is a spiritually enriching experience. Whether it is in realising the power of prayer, in feeling the strength of non-violence, in being aware of the universal nature of Hinduism’s ancient principles, or just in admiring the beauty of God’s abode on Earth – each element has a spiritual significance.
Facts and Figure:
Opened 6th November 2005
Constructed by Bochasanwasi Shri Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS)
Inspired by HH Yogiji Maharaj (1892-1971 CE)
Created by His Holiness Pramukh Swami Maharaj
More than 300,000,000 volunteer hours went into making the complex
Over 8,000 volunteers from across the world participated in building it
Mandir built from intricately carved sandstone and marble
Exhibitions on Hinduism, including Bhagwan Swaminarayan's life and teachings such as prayer, compassion, and non-violence.

The temple was officially opened on 6 November 2005 by Pramukh Swami Maharajin the presence of Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, Manmohan Singh, L.K Advani and B.L Joshi. The temple, at the centre of the complex, was built according to the Vastu shastra and Pancharatra shastra.
In Akshardham Delhi, similar to its predecessor Akshardham Gandhinagar, Gujarat, the main shrine is the focal point and maintains the central position of the entire complex. There are various exhibition halls which provide information about the life and work of Swaminarayan. The designers of the complex have adopted contemporary modes of communication and technology to create the various exhibition halls.
The complex features an Abhisheka Mandap, Sahaj Anand water show, a thematic garden and three exhibitions namely Sahajanand Darshan (Hall of Values), Neelkanth Darshan (an IMAX film on the early life of Swaminarayan as the teenage yogi, Neelkanth), and Sanskruti Darshan (cultural boat ride). According to Swaminarayan Hinduism, the word Akshardham means the abode of almighty Lord Swaminarayan and believed by followers as a temporal home of God on earth.

Well this is the India's second largest temple, & asia's third largest temple around the world. Apart from this basic general knowledge, the good thing is entry is free but only for the "darshan" When it comes to shows, you have to pay for that, where the light/fountain show is most recommended if you are not opting for full package show ticket. Phone/Camera/Bags are not allowed inside temple, so make sure you keep in your car or either you can keep them in locker room which is also free to access.
Keep in mind, if you are going in rush hour then put our items/goods in your car/own space which will save your time in standing in queue.
Akshardham Temple or Swaminarayan Akshardham Complex is a prestigious fascination in Delhi and it gloats its profound and social exercises spreading over the city. The mind boggling invites you to comprehend and break down the conventional Hindu and Indian culture, deep sense of being and design. Being a standout amongst the most went by vacation spots in Delhi, the sanctuary has magnificence and dynamic quality, amazing by whatever else. The banks of the excellent Yamuna River in eastern Delhi offer space to the complex and the development was by the Vastu Shastra and Pancharatra Shastra.

Akshardham Temple, Largest Hindu temple in world is a divine place. It's more than temple, it's actually a hub of great architectural designs that are carved on rocks and marble. Main things to see: ceilings of each dome inside temple, pillars and Mandovar. Great example of great and rich culture.

An amazing beautiful peaceful temple.
Must visit place if you are in New Delhi.
Metro station also there and is just 100 meter apart.
Akshardham is really beautiful the main temple is really beautifully crafted. The outer architecture is beautiful and also the inner marbel architecture was more than beautiful. The roof of the main temple is just amazing. The best and the most beautiful part is the main temple where the colors are too good.
Note :- You can not take your phone 📱, camera 📷, so you have to stand in the queue to summit them in the cloak room. Secure cloak room 5/5.
After the cloak room there is a security check which will be done in a minute you just have to remove your wallet and belt and that's it they will check you and let you pass.
Strong security check.
Best place to visit.

What a spectacular sight.... The beauty of this temple and its surrounding can not be described in words. Its just like a painting on a canvas.
Even after so much of crowd, this place is yet very peaceful and relaxing for your soul. The light show and musical fountain add to the beauty of this place.

The architecture is undoubtedly breathtaking and this place is worth a visit. However the staff is rude, timings of rides and events are not mentioned correctly on the website and not allowing purses or phones inside is incomprehensible. Why should we be asked to return or have to leave our valuables insecurely in cabs. Why not be transparant and allow cellphones. And what harm can purses and bags do...just use security measures. Even airports allow bags, so why shouldn't this place!!!

The temple is located in Amritsar, India, and attracts millions of visitors every year. Visitors are welcome to bring cameras, but be aware that photography is not allowed inside the temple.

The place deserves at least two visits - one during the day to enjoy the experience in full daylight and one in the evening, when the lights are on highlighting the details. Good time is the time of evening prayers and taking the Holly Book to sleep at around 10 p.m. During the day it is worth to visit the place with a local guide who will show you places that otherwise you would miss or have no idea that you could visit like the kitchens serving 40 to 50 thousand meals each day... And you enjoy that beautiful place free. Unfortunately taking photographs in the temple is strictly forbidden - pictures only outside...

Even after going there, it doesn't feel like we have reached here, it looks more beautiful in the evening, the light around and the gold shining from the lake, it looks like a dream, this place is a symbol of peace, tranquility and community. , cleanliness is also taken special care here, it is also true that people who come here pray for their well-being and it is fulfilled, it is open 24 hours and food is also available 24 hours free for all passengers. So I will say that we must come here at least once in our life.

Undoubtedly, this is the main attraction of Amritsar and a must visit place. Whatever is your religion, you are be welcome inside. This place is definitely going to make you calm, you have to feel it yourself, no word can describe it. Few things to keep in mind while visiting the temple :
1. Try to arrange an accommodation close to the Golden Temple, so that you can visit the temple early morning and late evening.
2. Being the main attraction, this place can get reao crowded, keep that in mind.
3. You need to cover your head, put off yours shoes and wash your feet before entering.
4. They have the baggage counter inside the temple, you may deposit your bag there

The Golden Temple in Amritsar, also known as Harmandir Sahib, is an iconic Sikh religious site and a must-visit destination. It is a place of profound spiritual significance and architectural beauty. The stunning golden structure is surrounded by a serene and picturesque lake, creating a sense of peace and tranquility.
The temple complex is open to people of all faiths and offers free meals to visitors, showcasing the Sikh principles of equality and selfless service. The interior of the temple is equally impressive with its intricate artwork and gilded walls. The atmosphere is often filled with devotional music and a palpable sense of spirituality.
However, the temple can get crowded, almost daily and especially during religious festivals, so it’s advisable to visit during quieter times for a more serene experience. Overall, the Golden Temple is a unique and spiritually enriching place that is well worth a visit for its cultural, religious, and architectural significance.

Beautiful experience in the holiest Sikh place. We visited at night (~9 pm) to witness the “putting to bed” ceremony and it was amazing . We also visited the kitchen and seeing the amount of people eating there was quite extraordinary. Keep in mind you need to take off your shoes and socks to enter the temple, but it is quite clean. If you enjoy this kind of place it is worth coming to Amritsar just to see this temple . The temple is very beautiful 😍

It would be wrong to evaluate the place of this spiritual Guru because the Guru's house is the house of greatest peace and happiness and prosperity, there he is the house of peace and ending the restlessness of the mind. After going there, I felt that God was with me in such a way that I was not worried about any reason, I was just so engrossed in having darshan that I did not even realize that I had seen God with my own eyes.

This is more than just a lake with lots of fun things to do. For starters, there are several food kiosks with moderate prices and a wide range of selections.
Boating is the main attraction, and there are various alternatives available, including paddle, row, and shikhara boats. The view is spectacular, and there are various additional activities available, such as rock climbing and mini swings, to help you unwind. This is the most crowded spot in Chandigarh, yet it is also the most beautiful. You may unwind and enjoy the scenery while spending the evening with family or friends at a reasonable fee. The boating time is half an hour, but it was well worth it for a paddle with the choice of two or four people in a boat. This is a must-see place in Chandigarh.

Sukhna Lake in Chandigarh is a sizable lake, and the best time to visit is in the evening when boating facilities are available. However, in windy weather, boating may not be available for safety reasons. There are plenty of eateries at the entrance of the lake, making it the ideal place to spend quality time, especially for some 'me' time.

Boating is available. You can take the rides as well. You will find the peace and the fresh air.
You can get the auto rickshaw from Shivalik park easily. Charge you around 20-30 rs.

The Sukhna Lake in Chandigarh weaves a magical tapestry of serenity and splendor. This picturesque man-made marvel, born from the vision of the great architect Le Corbusier, stands as a true oasis amidst the modern chaos of the city.
Imagine a place where time seems to slow down, and worries melt away like droplets on the lake's glassy surface. Sukhna Lake beckons you with open arms, inviting you to escape the mundane and embrace the extraordinary. The verdant foliage of the Shivalik Hills embraces you like a warm hug. The gentle breeze carries the faint melody of birdsong, setting the stage for a symphony of nature's finest performance. One can have an awesome view of the sunrise over there with cold Breeze and pleasant weather.
Majestic migratory birds from distant lands descend upon Sukhna Lake, transforming it into a vibrant aviary. They paint the skies with their grace, and birdwatchers and photographers alike are left spellbound by this feathery spectacle. As the sun dips below the horizon, the lake dons its golden cloak, and the air becomes infused with the aroma of camaraderie and laughter. Families gather for heartwarming picnics, children chase each other with gleeful abandon, and friends share stories that will echo in their hearts for eternity.
Things to do at the Sukhna Lake :

3. Jogging and Morning Walks

6. Visiting Museum
7. Photography

Most picturesque place of chandigarh Sukhna Lake is a reservoir at the foothills of the Himalayas. This 3 km² rainfed lake was created in 1958 by damming the Sukhna Choe, a seasonal stream coming down from the Shivalik Hills. Originally, the seasonal flow entered the lake directly causing heavy siltation.
It has ample food joints in the food court, drinking water facilities, boating facilities (Rs 250 for 2 seater boat + 250 as security). Good for nature lovers.

I have been visiting this place for past 20 years and it still holds the charm. It brings peace and tranquility. Walking the entire track feels amazing while looking at the greenery on one side and the water with paddle boats and kayaks on the other side. It's one of the most inclusive public spaces I have come across in India. There are people running, walking, doing exercise, couples, elderly, kids and a lot more. Sukhna has something to offer to everyone. I prefer the Garden of Silence side as it's more peaceful compare to the entrance.
Monsoon is one of the good times as everything is lush green and the lake is full. Winter is also great as you can sit and relax on the toasty stone embankment or the grass and eat oranges and soak in the sun.
It's a place one must visit if going to Chandigarh.

Visitors are not allowed to bring cameras or phones and must deposit all bags at the check point before proceeding on foot.
So peaceful and beautiful place to visit. It is on peak of the hills of Kasauli.
You need to be fully vaccinated otherwise you won't be allowed to pass the security.

3. At entry gate you can deposit your phone and bag with charges.
4. After that they will give you ID card and ask for checking.
5. Its takes 15-20 minutes to climb only through stairs.
6. You can enjoy beauty of nature in minimum 1 hour and maximum 2 hour.
Note - Only temple is there and canteen is also there at top.

To reach this point one can either get a taxi or walk from Mall road. It's around 4km if you want to walk and it's doable for almost everyone. Once you reach the main entry point, you'll have to show an ID card and deposit any bag and electronics equipment (smartphone/smartwatch/cameras) as most of the reviews mentioned. There is a small deposit fee (50 for a bag with 2 phones). From the main entrance you'll still need to walk 5 mins to reach the main stairway, from where you can get to the top. The view at the top is great but if you're unlucky (like me) and go when there's foggy weather you won't be able to fully appreciate it. The only flaw is that there's no decent food points in the whole complex. The closest one is on the Mall road.

The best view point I must say, the place was open after staying closed due to Covid. No camera or phones are allowed, we have to deposit all bags at the check point and then proceed on foot. A divine experience. It is approx 500 metres walk inside the Airforce Complex before you reach the base from where there is an approx 500 metres climb up the hill to the temple. The climb is steep but is not as difficult as some people sound in the reviews. There are enough benches enroute…. one can catch a breath whenever required and continue. It is a proper covered, concrete paved way, interspersed with stairs. There is a restaurant and a Prasad Shop on top. There are a few monkeys enroute but they are used to humans and do not disturb you….. but will grab any eatables…. so do not carry ANY eatables….. even the Prasad on the way down !! Apart from the divine experience, the view from top is breathtaking.

The temple is almost 2.5 kms from mall road parking. You can get taxis from the parking area, personal vehicles are not allowed. The taxis will cost INR 200 one side. You should carry a small bag with you to deposit your phone and smart watch at the counter.
There are staircases and ramp to reach the top. It's a good height of around 500ms to climb to reach the temple. You will take about 30-45 minutes to reach on the top.
You can buy Prasad on the top itself. There is a small shop where you can eat snacks but don't forget to carry cash because you will not have for phone with you and card doesn't work here.
It's quite windy at the top so don't forget to carry a stall or a light sweater based on the weather you can decide
The entry is till 1PM in the afternoon and than it reopens at 2PM. The temple is not closed just at the entry gate where you get passes these people are on lunch break.
It's advised to wear shoes because the stairs are Rocky and good distance to walk.
While coming back as well you can get taxis. Same INR 200 each side.
Be careful with the monkeys. Don't carry eatables which are visible to them. You can have something in your bag or pocket.
Overall It's a good experience

Then there are mandir steps of 500m but on mount height. It's quite exhausting climbing those steps up, but when you reach on the top that feeling of temple and view from that top is just mind blowing.
Legend behind temple:
The legend says that during Ramayan, when lord Lakshman was injured and Hanuman ji was asked to carry sanjeevni for him, his one foot touched this mount top and hence people made a temple there dedicating to him.

The Kalka Shimla Railway, a 19th-century marvel, offers breathtaking mountain vistas. This historic railway is surrounded by attractions such as the Town Hall, Christ Church, and Lakkar Bazar in Shimla. The route also provides access to natural wonders like Chadwick Waterfall and Jana Falls. Additionally, it serves as a gateway to various trekking destinations including Roopkund Lake Trek and Pindari Glacier Trek.
Kempty Falls in Mussoorie is a popular tourist destination that offers a stunning view of cascading waterfalls, pools and boating with vantage points and cafes. The site comprises seven waterfalls, which make for an awe-inspiring sight. Visitors can hike to the top to enjoy more breathtaking views of the falls. This attraction is perfect for groups of friends and families looking to spend quality time together. However, it may not be suitable for young children as it is located on a mountain.
The waterfall flows under a bridge. It's absolutely free to visit. You need to park you car slightly before or after the bridge. You can take the stairs and go to higher levels of the waterfall. There are shops where you can change and rent swimming trunks to take a dip in the waterfall. One such shop is absolutely free. There are also a few local food shops as well. Overall it's a good tourist attraction.

The Kempty falls itself is very pretty and the water appeared white and clear(just like you might have seen in some pictures). You can either walk or take a cable car ride to see the waterfall. You will see hundreds of people getting into the water and having fun. There are a few lookouts to to enjoy the waterfall and take pictures. Kempty Falls was only 5 kilometers from our hotel JW Marriott but I guess is a good 45-60mins. drive in a car from Mussoorie(depending on the traffic). Stop littering and save this wonderful spot for others to enjoy as well. The city has a task cut out for them to take action and tidy up this place which I believe is one of the attraction in Mussoorie!

We recently visited Kempty Falls with our family and had a wonderful time. The falls themselves are a stunning natural attraction, offering a refreshing and picturesque spot to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature. The sound of the water cascading down the rocks was both soothing and invigorating.
Apart from the falls, we were pleasantly surprised by the nearby market. It’s a great place to shop for wooden gifts and souvenirs. There was a wide variety of items, including beautifully crafted wooden artifacts, which made for perfect mementos. Additionally, the market had a good selection of items for ladies, ranging from accessories to clothing.
Overall, Kempty Falls is not just about the natural beauty but also offers a delightful shopping experience. It’s a perfect spot for a family outing, combining the joy of nature with a bit of local shopping.

What a beautiful water fall. I saw a waterfall for the first time in my life and it was so beautiful. The water was too cold to handle. I even went into the water and got shower under the water falling down. It was so beautiful. If you don't have extra pair of cloth that's fine you can rent it easily from the waterfall location. There are many cloth vendors.

Kempty Falls is one the most popular tourist attraction and picnic spot in Mussoorie. Surrounded by high mountain cliffs. The pond formed at the bottom of the falls makes an excellent spot for swimming and bathing.Offering a stunning view of water stream cascading down from a great height, it divides into two main falls. Quite famous among the tourists as a picnic spot, the perennial Kempty waterfall is crowded almost throughout the year.

The ropeway charges around 200 per person.

Very beautiful waterfall. And a huge walkway market where they sell tourist attractions and tea shops around.
But the place is not maintained at all, people spit everywhere and dumped waste.
And you will see rope way to the fall. It’s a very small rope way costs you .Rs.200 for one way. And won’t accept online payments.
May better walk to to the waterfall while going and return come in rope way.

It's awesome very calming
Loved the atmosphere there It was very soothing, although there were a lot of people and it always seemed a bit crowded, you may have to wait a little bit to take your pictures but believe me it's worth it,
. You can bathe under the waterfall and there's a good facility of keeping your goods in the locker and changing room so you can bath and keep your things away from water.
The scenes are very beautiful but the only drawback is you have to take too many stairs to reach there..
You can also enjoy the waterfalls above it they're small but very beautiful ❤️.

It's way more commercialized and that too in such a way that the natural beauty is completely destroyed.

This is Christ Charch on Uporer Mall Road above Lakkar Bazar an immensely popular attraction of tourists throughout the year. A prominent landmark of Shimla and its silhouette is visible for many kilometres around the vicinity of Shimla city. Christ Church is one of the enduring legacies of the British Raj.It is the second oldest church in North India. Christ Church continues to be well maintained and is in relatively good condition. The clock's original mechanical mechanism has more recently been replaced with an electrical equivalent. However, currently whilst all 4 faces of the clock remain in synchronization, they rarely reflect the correct time.
The church contains five fine stained glass windows. One represents the Christian virtues of Faith, Hope, Charity, Fortitude, Patience, and Humility. It's a place where one can feel the beauty of nature and the popular picturesque landscape also named as '
The Ridge' of Shimla surrounding hills including Jako Hills, the Abode of the Great Hanumaan Temple's and its long portrait. In addition there will be another two legends whose portraits have been installed to remind us of their benevolent contribution for building our choice-able attraction in this part of Himachali Culture.

Serene and calm place to visit. We did the trek up to this temple and it’s a fairly difficult one. Alternate way is the longer route via vehicle. Well maintained and a clean place. It’s the highest point in Shimla & the 100+ ft huge statue of Lord Hanumanji is visible from almost any part of the city. Don't carry any valuables or baggage to the temple as there are a lot of monkeys in and around the temple; they don't harm you as such.

To travel uphill there are various modes one of them is you get a government taxi for 20 rs person one way from near McDonald's/ brew estate . It's quiet a climb so do try stairs only if your are habitual to it . Even where the car leaves there is a little climbing from there and that too on unmade stairs . So for elderly it's best to avoid .

How to Reach : 1. Take Ropeway Approx 500-600 ₹ per person 2. Take a Cab Approx 500 ₹ per Cab 3. Take the staircase.
It is said that Lord Hanuman took rest here when HE was on His way to collect Sanjeevani booti for Lakhshmana. The Lord Hanuman statue is around 108 ft tall and can be seen from Shimla Mall Road & The ridge. It is a very serene place. When we reached Aarti was going on and a local woman (probably possessed) was doing the Aarti and at the end Pujari ji sprinkled Jal on her and she was screaming for a while then back to normal. Didn't get time to explore the story behind it due to crowd.
Pro Tip : Don't wear Sunglasses/ specs or any other valuable ornaments as monkey gangs are looking for it and they will snatch it and you wouldn't even know. Exchange it for the Prasada/Food 😁 Jay Bajrangbali 🙏

Also keep your cellphone safe. Be careful while taking pictures.

According to the Ramayana, Hanuman stopped at the location to rest while searching for the Sanjivni Booti to revive Lakshmana. A giant 108-feet-high idol of Hanuman was unveiled at Jakhu Hanuman temple on 4 November 2010. At 108 feet (33 m), it surpasses the statue of Christ the Redeemer, which measures at 98 feet (30 m), in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The cost of construction was Rs 1.5 crores. The public unveiling was officiated by Abhishek Bachchan.
The temple is accessible by foot, horse, taxi or ropeway. The Jakhu Ropeway is an aerial lift that links a point near the centre of Shimla to the temple. It was developed by Jagson International Limited and opened in 2017.

Shri Hanuman Mandir Jakhoo is located on the top of Jakhoo Hill in Shimla. It is an upclimb from the main road but vehicles reach up easily with some steep routes in between. It is easily navigable via Google Maps.
Legend says that Lord Hanuman has taken a halt at this point while returning back taking the Sanjeevani booti with him for Lord Laxman. It is believed the idol came out magically after he left the hill for his journey ahead.
It's a beautiful temple and the sunset here is magical. The premises of the temple are well maintained and a small parking lot is also made outside the temple for vehicles. The temple has a lot of monkeys and it is advised to keep your spectacles away while visiting as monkeys tend to snatch them for a barter for food. Due to the presence of monkeys, it's believed that the presence of Lord Hanuman is evident.
The temple is also home to 108 foot tall Lord Hanuman statue which is a sight to see. As you enter Shimla, it is clearly visible from afar.
The temple premises has a help desk as well for any queries and bhandaras are also organised frequently for the masses.
It's an unmissable iconic spot if you're visiting Shimla, highly recommended for your Shimla Trip.

History of the temple
After Lakshmana was cured, Hanuman went back to place the mountain in its original site. He rested on top of the Jakhu hill for some time. It is said that the top of the hill got flattened due to Hanuman's weight! The temple has been built around the place that is supposed to have the footprints of Hanuman.
