It's a nice scenic hike. Nothing spectacular, but nice enough to see the view of the city. It took roughly an hour to go around depending on how many stops you make. Definitely wear runners and active wear as I did not do that. Make sure to stay away during the rainy season as it can get dangerous.

The parking lot is not that big but this place is big for every one to sit on the mat enjoying the day. Some ppl even bring tent. Maybe it is forbiden here to cook here but you can just bring food and eat it here. As you can see from the picture, fall folliage is so pretty. It is red on the one side and yellow on the other side. Although the gingko leaves are 50%left, some trees even left 10~20% leaves only. Autumn is really perfect time to have a picnic.

Daejeon O-World is a charming amusement park that caters to families with small children. The park offers an array of modest rides and a small zoo, which provides entertainment for visitors. In addition, there are plenty of shows and other activities available for guests to enjoy. The zoo is the main attraction of the park, featuring various animal species from around the world. Additionally, there is a beautiful flower garden on-site that adds an extra touch of beauty to the already stunning scenery.
Very beautiful place alot to do inside the flowers was just too beautiful❤️

It’s a nice place to have fun in couple, family or friends. But if you can’t stand children’s screaming, that’s not a good place for you 😅
The Safari is nice but i felt heartbroken when i saw the elephant and the giraffe alone. They should not stay like this. 😞
also, It’s written it close at 6pm but at 5pm everyone have to get out of the parc. Even the gifts shop was close.

Daejeon O-world, is a recreational park for adults and kids alike.
Conveniently located the place can be reached by public transport and own vehicle. There are a lot of busses that run in this route. The place has a huge parking lot as well.
Booking tickets in advance is recommended, as the place could get crowded especially on weekends.
The place has theme parks, rids for kids to enjoy, a small safari, a good decent size zoo.
We were surprised to see puma and jaguar in the zoo, which most of the zoos do not have/keep. The animal enclosures are big and plenty of space for them to roam around. However pity is to see large birds in small enclosures with no/very little space to fly.
The safari is short but good.
For kids there are a lot of rides to enjoy.
There is also a dance performance by the staff, which is really good.
The place has plenty of food options as well. From western food, burgers, fries, to Korean food and snacks.
A good place to visit when in Daejeon, would recommend 5-6 hours to enjoy the place fully.

We enjoyed our visit here! My favorite part would be the zoo and the flower land. Very pretty especially with a lot of cherry blossoms bloomed all over the place.

Daejeon o World is the main attraction of Daejeon. It’s a beautiful amusement park but it’s quite small as compared to the everland or lotte world. We enjoyed the gyro drop a lot. But the unique experience that i had there was the jungle safari as the bus is taking us on a ride through the jungle. This is first time I experienced how it feels to be behind bars. In most zoos the creatures are behind the bars and we enjoy watching them from outside. Here we were all stacked up in a bus like behind the bars and the creatures were freely moving in their natural habitat. So i do really liked this idea and enjoyed it. Also the flower garden was mesmerizing. It was beautifully decorated🤩 All the rides were amazing

A family friendly and fun experience - Korean Disneyland mixed with a zoo and garden. Smiles all round, worth a visit.
Philip Setton — Google review
About 4 rides were close when we came. The waiting time per ride was fast. We like that the rides were longer... not much on food selection. You need to wear really good walking shoes as the zoo is located in the higher ground so a bit of walking uphill is needed. The toilets are not as clean as I would like them to be. The staff and crew are really nice and friendly. The safari ride was rather fast. So we didn't get to enjoy it as much.
JOLEN CRAME — Google review
Great zoo! I visited the place with three kids and their moms. We had a fantastic time looking at the animal. The place is safe for the kids. We had to wait in line for a long time to get in the safari tour, but it was worth it.

Daejeon Skyroad is not a highway, but a vibrant shopping arcade in the Silicon Valley of Korea. The area is home to various research institutes and science parks, making it a hub for innovation. Visitors can explore the National Science Museum, enjoy the Expo Science Park, indulge in treats from Sung Sim Dang bakery, have a blast at Daejeon O-World amusement park, and shop at Daejeon Skyroad.
A lot of stores and hot spots packed in one at Daejeon Sky road. You can have everything from shopping to cafe hopping to food tasting here. Gamers and couples are not also left out. When you're here, time literally flies.

There are plenty of places to eat and drink for foreigners at a pretty decent price. If you want to see the large LED screen light up with various pictures/commercials, etc., then come around 6pm. The famous Bakery in Daejeon also very close to this place.

Luke 4:17-21 NKJV
And He was handed the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written: “The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed; To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD.” Then He closed the book, and gave it back to the attendant and sat down. And the eyes of all who were in the synagogue were fixed on Him. And He began to say to them, “Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.”

Very cool temple with the biggest Buddha Statue in Korea! Also normally the monks hit this big gong only once every day at 5pm. We had the „luck“ to be there at the same time as about 200 british jamboree children and every one of them who liked got to hit the gong! So we got to experience the gong not only once but about a hundred times while we were there! Kinda annoying but fun at the same time.

I desided hiking to Cheonwangbong but first I visited the famous temple Beobjusa which is located under the peak. By an entrance I paid 5000 won. I have to admit it's the amazing temple with a dominant Golden Maitreya Buddha Statue.
Michaela Klossowska — Google review
There are countless Buddhist temples found among the many mountains of Korea. This one is top 5 in all of Korea, without question. Few have a longer history than Beopjusa Temple, but what makes it even more amazing is that many of the buildings here have been left standing for 400 years. That is amazing considering most buildings in Korea (especially those of such size, history, and importance) were destroyed during the Japanese occupation in the early 20th century or the Korean War.
This temple boasts the oldest and largest wooden pagoda remaining in Korea and other Korean National Treasures, all set in the midst of beautiful Songnisan National Park. Beopjusa Temple is also one of the seven temples that make up the Sansa UNESCO World Heritage Site. You would be hard pressed to find more history found in the midst of such natural beauty in all of Korea, so I'd wholeheartedly recommend visiting this place

Andong Hahoe Folk Village is a UNESCO World Heritage site that represents the traditional Korean way of life during the Joseon Dynasty. Visitors can witness various crafts, including mask-making, and get a glimpse into countryside village life. It is recommended to visit during off-season to avoid crowds and fully appreciate the bucolic charm of the village. For a bird's-eye view of the area, one can cross the river or drive to Buyongdae Cliff.
I love the atmosphere at Hahoe so much. I can feel the wind brings scent of paddy field spreading everywhere. I can hear the laughs of children playing folk games. Here is so peaceful and calm 😌
If you love exploring ancient village in Korea and want to know life in rural, so go to Hahoe village. This small 600 years old village in Andong has everything you want ^^

<My impressive visit to Hahoe and Yangdong village>
I would like to tell about my experience visiting Hahoe and Yangdong village, which are registered as world heritage sites. It is located in Andong, and Gyeongju respectively. They show the natural beauty of mountains, trees and rivers around the village. Looking at these beautiful scenery, I felt calm and relaxed.
I learned that a wooden house and seowon school where a noble man lived appeared around the village. They are the representative elements of the clan village and the Confucianism during the Joseon dynasty.
Also, I found that two villages took the form of Baesanimsu, a representative village of the Joseon. I was surprised by the shape of terrain where the river flows in front and the mountains in the back.
In Hahoe village, people played a traditional game called 하회 별신굿 탈놀이. The game was very exciting and entertaining for me. Looking at it, I felt like I wanted to join in. Watching the Korean traditional game is an impressive experience for me.
It's worth visiting for knowing our history and enjoying the traditional game. I recommend you to visit with your family or friends because here is many things to see and enjoy. If you visit Gyeongsangbuk-do, I really recommend you to visit these two historical villages!

Beautiful and definitely worth going!
If you’re able to, go during the weekend, from 2 to 3pm there is a traditional mask performance which is amazing.
The performance is obviously in korean, but there is some things translated it on a screen.
The performers interact with the public and it is fun.
I recommend spending the whole day there (From around 1pm to 6pm, the sun hours in winter)
There’s a free admission mask museum which i’d recommend doing as the last thing.
The entrance to the village is 3,000₩ for adults

Took Uber from Andong downtown, cost about 12 euros, they dropped us off at the ticket office (5000 won for foreigners) , which also has the free shuttle bus to the village (about 1 km away). The village had cafes and souvenir shops and bikes available for rent. Was nice to walk around.
There is a 4km hike through the fields and the forest to Byeongsan-seowon a neo-confucian academy (one of 16 in S. Korea, all-together with the UNESCO world cultural heritage status). We were stupid enough to do this with a stroller. Doable but it's not easy. The entry to the academy is free. And views are stunning. We didn't meet a single other person the whole way.
We couldn't find an Uber or taxi on the other side already at 5 pm. The last Bus departs at 15:30. Luckily, we found a family to drive us to town. Most tourists on this side were locals.

A historic village in Korea. Keep in mind this is a real village with residents still living there and farming the surrounding area, not just an isolated tourist attraction. The village shops and restaurants were mostly closed when I went in March 2022, so you may consider eating elsewhere. Luckily the golf cart rentals are currently forbidden, so be prepared to walk. The village is a decent size but easily walkable. Very enjoyable to see a side of historic Korea instead of the city or modern rural villages.
Randall Stanaway — Google review
A unique cultural experience that left a mark on us. Outside of the city rhythm of life, the village conveys a mood and feeling that originates from different times. Spend a couple of nights at the village, try to get accustomed to the routine there and you will not regret it. I would also recommend having a nice coffee from the wonderful gentleman Mr Kim Gi Young at the entrance of the village on the left.

Nice folk village which was set around a magical 600 year old tree that’s said to grant wishes.
Would have been a 5 if visited during the masked festival.
The village was visited in 1999 by H.R.M. Queen Elizabeth II and there’s a pine tree that’s commemorative of that occasion.

We arrived pretty late (5:30pm) so the ticket office was closed. We went on foot from the parking, around 10min walk in the forest.
The village was empty and most activities closed by that time, but we enjoyed simply walking around, admiring the houses and the panorama.
If you want to enjoy the activities and visit the different houses, I would recommend coming earlier in the day!

I recently had the opportunity to visit the Hahoe Mask Museum in Andong, Korea, and I must say that it was a truly fascinating and memorable experience. This museum stands as a testament to the rich cultural heritage of Korea, specifically the tradition of mask-making.
The museum itself is housed in a traditional, quaint building, which perfectly complements the serene surroundings. As soon as you enter, you are greeted by friendly staff members who are knowledgeable and enthusiastic about explaining the intricacies of the masks on display.
The collection of masks at the Hahoe Mask Museum is exceptional. It showcases an impressive variety of masks, with each one embodying its own unique character and story. From the brightly colored, exaggerated expressions to the more subtle and mysterious designs, there is something for everyone to appreciate and admire.
Another highlight of my visit was the outdoor theater where traditional mask performances were held. Watching the skilled performers bring the masks to life through intricate dance and storytelling was truly captivating. It was a rare opportunity to witness the masks being used in their intended context, and it added an extra layer of authenticity to the whole experience.
Overall, the Hahoe Mask Museum in Andong, Korea, is a must-visit attraction for anyone interested in Korean culture and history. The combination of a beautiful location, extensive mask collection, interactive exhibits, and live performances make it a truly immersive and educational experience. Whether you are a seasoned mask enthusiast or simply curious about this unique art form, this museum will leave you with a newfound appreciation for the traditions and customs of Korea.

This place took a lot of risk. First, Fire broke out 7 times But it has been protected by scientific design - such as humidity control, wind direction, or floor material - to prevent fire. Next, At the Korean war, This place almost disappeared after being bombed by the US. Thanks to general kim Young-hwan, that wasn't happen.
There are many beautiful nature products. So you can calm down your mind from here. Learning about buddhism will be useful to you with many culture heritages besides the triptaka koreana! Let's go and collect stemps.

Haeinsa is a beautiful temple with lots of things to do in the surrounding. Cute Hanok-shaped coffee shops and most of green path ways to enjoy nature.
The temple also offers temple stays for those looking to enjoy the full experience.
From Haeinsa you can also hike to the peak of Gayasan.

If you enjoy a nice hike, consider starting at the beginning of Sound Road (소리길). I've walked it both in Spring and Autumn. Autumn gave the best colors, but Spring was really sweet after the cold winter.
Haeinsa is quite a ways away, but the nature walk to the temple is worth it. The temple offers a temple stay, guided tour, and the option to write on a temple tile!

Take a bus (1.5 hours) from Seobu bus terminal (connected with metro line 1, Daegu). From bus stop there's a 1.2 km to temple, green, nice, uphill. You can be able to catch a taxi, if you for instance have luggage for your temple stay. Bus runs every 40 min, bring cash to pay for bus trip back (8100 won). Book café on temple grounds. Cafés and restaurants along the walk. I didn't do a temple stay, but you can book online and pay for it cash at the temple. Very nice that it's a working temple. Hiking paths up the mountain.

Seomun Market is a vast and historic indoor/outdoor market with an abundance of vendors offering food, clothing, and silk. It ranks among the largest night markets in Korea, boasting numerous booths selling scrumptious food, beverages, and souvenirs along its lengthy main street until 10 PM. The vibrant atmosphere is matched by the delicious yet reasonably priced cuisine available for purchase ranging from 2,000~6,000 Won.
One of the largest shops ~ where you can find anything you want from little cute candles to delicious big lobsters ~
All products are sold at affordable prices which is one of the best part of this night market. Side streets in market area feature a large number of outdoor food stalls with delicious traditional dishes.Shop owners was soooo nice, as I was speaking Korean with them they found it cute ~ and was giving me more stuff then I bought as a gift ^^

I stayed in a hotel at walking distance to Seomun market and incidentally explored it by searching on Google. It is a super large and vibrant traditional market. I bought some winter stuff at very good price. I surprisingly saw the dishes much like which we also had in my country (pork intestines tasting so good). In front of the market there are bus lines including no.2&3 connecting with the old village attraction. Worthy to experience!

I went there at night, where day stalls were all close. Most stalls were selling food. The crowd was massive but focusing on certain stalls. Because of the crowd, it wasn't that easy to walk around because certain areas were cordoned off. Overall the atmosphere was good partly contributed by a group of buskers

There are a lot of nice clothes and items. They are cheap and if you are a negotiator, you will get some discount. If you buy 2-3 items at once, you will get discount as well. Each shop was own unique style; what you need is running shoes and energy. Food is so good as well.

Donghwa Temple is a picturesque and serene complex that showcases ancient and reconstructed Buddhist temples. It boasts of multiple Buddha statues, including a massive one that adds to the scenic charm. Visitors can opt for temple stays and witness ongoing construction activities during certain periods. The temple is accessible by bus or taxi from EXCO Daegu and takes around 40 minutes or an hour respectively. Apsan Park is a natural area that boasts a 600-meter-high mountain peak, surrounded by parkland with various attractions including a cable car, hiking trails and an observatory. The well-known Patriot Trail starts from the military memorial at the bottom of the peak offering a challenging hike on steep and uneven trails with plenty of stairs towards the top. However, visitors are rewarded with breathtaking views upon reaching the summit.
A very beautiful park located on a mountain ..you can go in at multiple entry points..it is a shame i was not able to check out the observatory due to time :(

What a hike for this mountain. I took the patriot trail which starts from the military memorial at the bottom. Lots of steep and uneven trails. There is also a good amount of stairs near the top that make it even more tiring. The view is very well worth it when you make it to the top. I did the cable car back down. There is also a nice restaurant at the top that has an English menu.

Apsan Park is good. The cable car service is a tad bit slow but I am in no rush to enjoy nature's beauty. Amazing sight in the summer. Although I have to admit Palgongsan(Mt. Palgong is better than Apsan in terms of scenic views, amenities and services), it does not diminishes Apsan charm. It costs 9,500 Won for an adult round trip. There are alot of hiking trails to choose from if you are into trail-hiking. At Apsan Lookout Observatory, you will be able to have a birds eye view of Daegu city. Definitely worth visiting.

To anyone looking for a place to enjoy, relax and feel the spring vibe (especially for people living in a tropical country like me where there is only hot, hotter, and hottest type of weather), this river is the right one for you. We went there during the full bloom season of cherry blossoms and my experience is priceless. It was raining in the evening upon our arrival but it only added to the mood that I was feeling - excited. The river is a long one so make sure to see all the stops there and the food stalls around it sells tasty and affordable korean dishes. There are various coffee shops available too for any coffee lover out there so you won't have to worry about that. Make sure to come and visit this river of you happen to be in Jinhae and let me know what you felt.

Cheonmachong is a burial mound that was discovered in 1973 and dates back to the 5th or 6th century. It is part of a large walled park containing 23 tombs of Silla monarchs and their family members. The tomb, which is open for visitors, measures thirteen meters tall and forty-seven meters in diameter. It has yielded numerous artifacts that are now on display at the Gyeongju National Museum.
The Gyeongju landscape is a tapestry of time, dotted with ancient mounds whispering forgotten stories.
Cheonmachong, the majestic 'Flying Horse Tomb', rises above them all, its secrets echoing in the unearthed frescoes of celestial mounts.
But this place is more than just a solitary tomb. Quaint cafes with aromatic brews beckon from corners, while artisan shops overflowing with hand-crafted treasures tempt at every turn.
The architecture, a captivating blend of ancient and modern, begs to be captured, transforming every corner into an Instagram-worthy dream.
I yearned to linger longer, to truly soak in the soulful warmth of this place, savoring the local delicacies and basking in the ambiance of the beautiful cafes.
Cheonmachong is more than just a tomb; it's an invitation to slow down, breathe deep, and surrender to the magic of ancient beauty.

I visited the museum when I first got to Gyeongju and before I visited the tomb complex and suggest that you do the same… and it provided a lot more context about these tombs and the history of Gyeongju in general.
The site costs a couple of thousand won to enter and as far as I know, cheonmachong is the only tomb/ mound you can go inside. It’s a really impressive archaeology site!
Hwangnidan-Gil is close to this site and has hundreds of nice hanok bars and restaurants to visit.

Cheomseongdae, known as Korea's National Treasure No. 31, is the oldest astronomical observatory in East Asia. This historical site was built during Queen Seondeok's reign and consists of a cylindrical structure made of 362 granite blocks that represent the solar year. The observatory was constructed in a scientific manner to tell time and season. It measures only 5.
I love the park around the observatory. An awesome area with a forest, a traditional pavilion, a hanok village. You can go at the peak of some hills and enjoy the beautiful view.

Moderately interesting as a handsome stone tower and reputedly the oldest star observatory in Asia, although how it functioned as such is not clear. Little shade and music via loudspeakers do not help.
Alistair Clark — Google review
This ancient astronomical observatory is seriously something out of this world. The structure itself is so unique and impressive, and you can really feel the historical significance as you stand there. The attention to detail is incredible, and it's amazing to think about how this observatory was used to study the stars and the universe. Plus, the surrounding area is so peaceful and serene, making it the perfect spot to just sit back and take in the beauty.

I'd like to share my exprience of visting Cheomseongdae place.
It is located in Gyeongju, a city where many cultural heritages are gathered. It is located in a park in Gyeongju, a city where many cultural heritages are gathered.
I paid 500 won to see Cheomseongdae, but I don't pay now. Because people who didn't pay could see from afar.
In the past, I used to go to school for school field trips and use the bus, but now I go by car.
The historical fact of the place is that it was made during Queen Seondeok and was made to observe stars. There is a hypothesis that it is not a place to observe stars, but compared to observatories in other countries, the hypothesis that it is an observatory is the most accurate.
The most impressive part is that you can see cultural heritage while taking a light walk and The night view is more beautiful when seen in the evening.
I recommend you to visit Cheomseongdae!

Some say it was the first observatory built in the Korean Peninsula, and it was only accessible using a ladder.
Nowadays it is not accessible, yet it offers an amazing views thanks to the purple light that brightens it after sunset.
It is a scenic area, perfect to take some photos.
Also there are several tombs of Korean kings, due to the historical importance of the area it is necessary to behave respectfully.
Some zones are nowadays being used explored and archeologica excavations are ongoing.

Built during the 7th century, it stands as one of the oldest surviving observatories globally. The observatory's cylindrical stone structure is a testament to ancient Korean advancements in astronomy, showcasing the Silla people's keen understanding of celestial movements. Ascending its steps transports visitors to a bygone era when scholars observed the night sky with precision. Cheomseongdae's historical significance, coupled with its simplicity and antiquity, makes it a captivating site that bridges the gap between ancient science and cultural heritage, offering a unique glimpse into Korea's rich past.

Amazing observatory remained still over 1400years. Circular surface of its bottle body is breaking my imagination how they cut the granity stone at that time? With what?
Minju Jeong — Google review
Came here after lunch in the area. It's lovely to visit the compound and even if it was not possible to come closer to the observatory, the scenic view the area itself offers is enough to appreciate this historic monument. It must be more scenic when viewed at night.
Jho Celero — Google review
Cheomseongdae Observatory. This is a very famous astronomical observatory in the region. It was used to study the stars and thus check the best date for planting and growing food. Records indicate that the observatory was built in the period between 632-647 A.D. The entire region is a large garden where several species of flowers characteristic of the region are found. Koreans take over the place during weekends and holidays. Traffic is complicated in the region as access cannot accommodate so many people! It's a beautiful place and you need to see it with your own eyes! I recommend that you come during the days of the week that are less popular so you can enjoy the tour better!

Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond, a historical landmark in South Korea, was built around 674 CE as the residence for the prince under King Munmu of Shilla's rule. The palace complex is situated near a manmade pond with three islets that were filled with lotus during summers. After the fall of Shilla, it became known as Anapji and remained abandoned until its restoration.
Donggung Palace at night is a great place for a romantic walk. Now if only I wasn’t alone when I was there it would’ve been perfect!

Beautiful night time views. I’d recommend going about a half hour before sunset. There is some interesting history, some artifacts (don’t think they are the originals) and a model of what the original grounds may have looked like. The park isn’t too big and there are many great photos to take.
Elisha Morgan — Google review
Best time to go is at sunset just before the lights come on. There are benches for sitting to enjoy the views & reflect; the crowd comes/goes as with any attraction but definitely worth a visit. Stay as long as you like within the site although I'm not sure of their in/out policy. There are toilets inside the grounds as well as gift/souvenir shop. Recommend 👍👍
Vik B'mr — Google review
It used to be a palace but they just rebuilt what looks like 3 pavillions and man-made lake as attractions. Make it a point to visit this place during the evening especially during sunset and watch the place glow with lights at night which makes nice pictures taking.
TY Tham — Google review
Pretty disappointing. I do not recommend coming here in the daylight. I heard this place is a lot more beautiful at night when the lights are up. In the morning it is just 3 pavilions that look all the same.

Ah, the enchanting Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond, a veritable gem nestled within the historic city of Gyeongju. A place where ancient wonders and natural beauty intertwine.
Upon my visit, I was struck by the remarkably modest entrance fee, a testament to the accessibility of such a treasured site. As I strolled through the grounds, my eyes feasted on sights of stunning beauty. Ancient pavilions, their reflections shimmering in the still waters of the pond, painted a scene of timeless serenity.
However, it was as the sun began its descent that the true magic of Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond unveiled itself. The gentle glow of lanterns bathed the structures in a warm, ethereal light, transforming the landscape into something out of a fairytale. The air was filled with a sense of tranquility, a delightful respite from the bustle of modern life.
If you find yourself in Gyeongju, I implore you to grace Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond with your presence, especially in the twilight hours. A symphony of history, beauty, and surprisingly modest cost awaits you.

Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond in Gyeongju Province is a man-made pond in Gyeongju National Park, South Korea. Entrance is very cheap at 2,000won or Php95 in our money. It is a little hot in Mid-April especially during lunch so be sure to apply some sunblock to your skin but there wind can be so harsh at times.

Canadian traveller here. What a beautiful walk around this park. It’s peaceful and well kept. It was a total of 9,000 KW. They do not accept foreign credit cards so best to have cash with you. I would spend a total of 1.5 hrs here to take in the view and take some beautiful photos.

Beautiful palace and the pond is gorgeous. It's a place that is worth to see at night if possible because all the lights reflect in the water. There are three pavilions and you can walk around the pond and take pictures from all angles. It costs only 3000 won to enter and it is really worth visiting if you are in Gyeongju.

Perfect place to enjoy a walk, be sure to walk on the main path otherwise you might slip in the sand !!
There is a wonderful pond which reflects the surrounding buildings.
By night the buildings are lightened, and the atmosphere becomes sublime.
The last entrance is at 21:30! Be sure to get there on time!!

A magical place to visit at dusk just as the sunsets and the lights turn on at the Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond. It is the perfect time for photos.
The walk around the pond is very calming and tranquil. There are many opportunities to capture pictures of the sights during the leisurely stroll. The reflections of the structures and trees off the pond and the moon make for a picturesque scene.
Bench seating is available around the pond to rest and take in the beauty of the surroundings.
We were able to buy tickets easily upon arrival on a Monday evening ~6:45pm.
There are washrooms on site and a gift shop.

Not only the beautiful masterpiece of Silla crown but also the whole Silla legacy that's in display is a really a big page of Eastern Asian History. It could take one or two hours to complete the tour given that you study every exhibit. Don't forget the Art Gallery. Entry is free. But take a look inside the gift shop too..!!

We learned about the ancient history of this land through these objects from as far back as 1500 years ago. Absolutely loved it. We also got to see the special Cheonma exhibit.

This is a museum that displays relics from Gyeongju, the capital of Silla (one of the ancient Korean historical countries). If you, a foreigner, have clicked come on this REVIEW thinking that you would go to this museum, it is worth a visit. Although it is difficult to say that our ancient Korean relics are the best in the world, I think it is definitely worth seeing. (Aren't you already in Gyeongju?)
Korean students also travel when they were students. Because it is a representative tourist destination related to Korean history.

There's a lot of stunning nature, I know there are Bhuddist followers of the son of God; here's a neat verse I'd like to share

Beomeosa Temple, located on the edge of Mt. Geumjeongsan, is a significant historical site in South Korea. Established in 678 A.D. by master monk UiSang during the Silla dynasty, it remains an important pilgrimage destination and center for Buddhist learning. The temple offers temple stays and attracts both worshipers and tourists alike. Additionally, it serves as a starting point for hikers exploring the popular circuit around Mt.
Perched on the slopes of Geumjeongsan mountain, Beomeosa Temple is tranquil and quiet, despite its proximity to Busan’s hustle and bustle. Surrounded by hiking trails, woodland and striking mountain scenery, it’s a popular spot for many of the city’s inhabitants. It’s also one of three major temples in Korea, the others being Haeinsa Temple in Gayasan National Park, and Tongdosa Temple in Yangsan. With a history of over 1,300 years, it’s Busan’s most important temple and has a significant place within the tradition of South Korean Buddhism.

The first time, I hiked up from Beomeosa station. As I approached the first gate up the stone ramp, I felt the hike made seeing the temple more fulfilling.
The second time, I took bus 90 up for a weekend temple stay. I learnt more from listening to the guide on our temple walk than from reading all the information boards.
During the temple stay, I was able to experience and see the temple at 5am before it opens to public. There was a sense of peace and tranquility. The golden glow from the main Buddha pavilion as the only light in the darkness felt otherworldly.

Walked up from the Beomosa subway station, not too far to walk up (just all uphill) and great views, although you can get the bus up/down.
The temple has a lot of buildings, everything is very sacred and you can tell it's an active temple everything is much more subdued and hushed compared to others. Several areas are off limits due to meditation, but what your can see is still maintained and impressive. Visiting during the week and it's not busy at all, barely any visitors there mid-morning

Pleasant and extensive park if you are looking to do a leisurely tour, and not for activities or buzz. The highlight for us was the colourful plaza of flowers in bloom.
Nestled in Busan, the Gamcheon Culture Village is a vibrant and picturesque attraction that stands out amidst the city's skyscrapers. Once a refuge for war survivors, this village now boasts colorful houses adorned with murals, graffiti, and artworks. The maze of steep alleys and stairways leads visitors through a quirky outdoor museum showcasing unique art installations nestled between the houses. The village's history adds to its allure, offering an intriguing contrast to the modern cityscape.
The amazing story of how the village was originally created. A lot of stories behind each wall. The beauty landscape of this place is amazing. Inspiring notes on the wall to funny scripts. The staircase and the small alleys around the village adds more beauty. Overall, this place is amazing and awesome.

Lots of places to take pictures with le Petit price statues, or BTS murals. Nice day trip overall. We chose to hike up and down the hill, good exercise but might be much during sunny hot days. There's even places to hire traditional costumes for a more immersive experience.

It is a really good place for sight seeing. Many houses seems to be empty, it is due to the migration of population for village to city. What I heard from one of the store owners is that young people love to stay in apartments hence they shift out from this place. Considering the fact that there is no entry ticket to this place and many houses empty, the people have really kept the place clean. The colors of houses are so prettily done that you can't take your eyes out of it. Many place are available for photographs and memory pictures. You can also find stores to buy souvenirs.

I thought this was going to be overrated. I was pleasantly surprised by my visit. The houses are beautiful and make for great pictures. The murals are plenty, and there are actually quite a few cafes and stores to visit. It's worth the effort imo. If you're fit or up for a challenge, then you can walk up to the village instead of catching the bus. There are also multiple observation points. There is a really cool store in the main shopping area where you can buy postcards and stamps and send them. It's a lovely and unique experience. The postcards are also beautiful.

Scenic place to visit.
Lots of souvenirs shop.
You can explore by climbing stairs (be prepared to climb a lot)
Or walk on the main road which will eventually lead u to most attractions.
If u feel energetic enough, feel free to go treasure hunt mode within this village.
Best to be there in the morning, when the crowd is just arriving.
Lots of photo spots to take pics.

We had a great time walking the village, all kinds of fun foods, shops, and photo opportunities. Lots of hills and stairs, so if you have mobility issues, be aware. The honeycomb ice cream, BTS murals, and the book stairs were my favorite spots. The most popular spot Is the Little Prince photo overlook. The lines get quite long by mid morning.

Beautiful place, and the history is deep. It was awesome to get a chance to visit an iconic place in South Korea. Many places you see only on TV, magazines and the internet but to actually visit this place was amazing. I highly recommend this place. It wasn't as busy as it usually gets, so we were really lucky. We got some cool t-shirts for souvenirs as well. They were about $12 a shirt. It is very hilly, so expect to walk and climb a lot.

Very beautiful place, must visit when you are in Busan. Off at the bus stop, you can go in by the front of the attraction or the back (to left of bus stop then down a slope). From there, you can venture off the beaten track, and catch some great sights opposite from the main street, and also see some of the houses in the village. You can then attempt to explore up across the village to the main street. Completes the experience.

Amazing day! Just know up front, there’s lots of snack opportunities…would have like a couple more sit down eat places. But, understanding what the village is, no problem.
Very unique heritage, and super clever way to show off the culture. Loved the stamp idea and the excellent t map to get us through the villiage. Be prepared to walk up and down the hills. Go with a curious mindset and you will have a great adventure!!

Beautiful place, a must visit if you're in Busan. You can take the bus to the entrance and there go to the information centre for a map. In the map you can check the most important places, and there's even a stamp collection to complete. Even if the whole area is on the hillside, the walk from the entrance is almost flat. You'll find many shops and cafes in the area. Please remember there's people living in the houses, respect the rules not to disturb them

Been here on the weekend, there were so many people. A bit cloudy at the beginning but finally it's clear and the wind a bit cooler. There's map on the information center but since we need to pay about ₩2.000 so we decided not to use it. We just walked around and took photos of the surrounding area. Many popular photo spot, so we have to queue. Be careful not to distrub people who live there. After such a heavy walk since there's so many stairs, we enjoyed some snack nearby which cost about ₩4.000 each.

Great place to visit. It was not that crowded early. We did run across a school class of teenagers dressed in full Korean traditional outfits that was very fun to see. We had a lot of fun walking the streets and seeing the art, searching for stamps and finding the occasional kitty cat lounging around. Don't forget to find the 148 stairs (stairs to see the stars) and climb up. 😉

Absolutely stunning!!! The views are incredible, the buildings look even better in real life than in the pictures. I didn’t know that was even possible 😂
I definitely recommend going by yourself to try it out first before taking friends and older family. The climb up the stairs to the main touristy areas may be a challenge for older people.
But other than that, this is probably one of the most interesting and amazing places I’ve been. There are many steps to get up to the stores and views, and the bus transportation to the village is a bit sketchy, but it is all worth it when you get there. There are lots of food options and touristy spots and stores around, as well as murals and photo areas.

If you are looking for a nice cultural experience visit this place. There are nice views of the villages that have been revamped but the houses are built on the side of the mountain. There are shops and snacks lining the whole way with designated pic tire spots and nice artwork.

Really pretty village! I recommend buying a map at the tourist information center, it gives you a nice path to follow and you can play a little stamp game! A lot of very nice art to see. For a coffee definitely visit DUF across from the community center, VERY nice atmosphere and amazing iced drinks, you can also feed the ducks if you want! We went during the week and it was very calm. Definitely recommend taking the time to go here!

A really nice and pretty place with amazing colourful houses. There’s was quite a few souvenir shops and cafes. You can get the map for 2000won at the starting point to collect the stamps. Although it is a pretty long walk (took us over 2hrs), it is quite satisfying to be able to collect all the stamps.

Absolutely beautiful and fascinating. Just pack lightly and don't carry more than you need to, it's very crowded even on a Monday afternoon, and steep. I shouldn't have brought a heavy, bulky backpack.

A beautiful old village transformed into a tourist attraction. Worth to visit and spend a few hours here, recommended to come by bus or taxi, since it is quite a big steep up. Most of the houses are now tourists shops and small cafes with quite a history behind. It's a nice walk around the village, with quite a few very busy spots (you'll see the queue).

This village is worth the trip and spending time at!!! Lots of food, sit down and street vendors. Lots of art shops and little stores to buy unique items. Beautifully painted. HINT make your way to the top left of the village if facing up the mountain side. Great pictures looking over the village and south into another bay. Also a little Buddhist temple at the top. Its free no tickets

This is a colorful hillside village which is known for its narrow alleyways, brightly painted houses, and stunning views of the city all the way to the sea. It was originally built in the 1950s for refugees of the Korean War and in recent years, it has been transformed into an art district with so many visitors. I really enjoyed walking thru narrow alleys. Go there early if you prefer to avoid crowds.

So many opportunities for fun photos with striking scenic backgrounds, and amazing murals. Many tourists take advantage of the on-site costume rentals which adds to the fun. Food and beverage options are mostly of the bakery/cafe variety. There are some street food vendors including a guy that cooks food with a butane torch over a flame grill! Visually exciting and quite tasty. I highly recommend this place for a nifty half day outing.

This is a fun place to visit and get a good workout!! Make sure to park in the parking garage. Many great photo ops ( a couple, you'llneedtowaiton line). There are winding little side alleys to shops and food, but some have people living there, so be respectful. Also, maybe do the research to find out what and why this village is.

I'm truly speechless at the breathtaking views and sights at the Gamcheon Culture Village. For the best photo opportunities, I suggest visiting one of the local coffee shops; many offer rooftop access after purchasing a beverage. Otherwise, expect crowds elsewhere. Overall, it's a must-visit spot during your time in Busan. I can't recommend it enough!

Main streets are quite touristy but side alleys are really intimate.
Gorgeous views and colourful buildings.
If you like cats, The Little Prince, and street art, THIS IS FOR YOU.
A lot of stairs and hills. Bring good walking shoes.
Plenty of food vendors for street food and meals too.
Plenty of public toilets around but watch out as some don't have toilet paper.
This is a residential neighbourhood so please remember to be respectful - speak at low volumes and don't take invasive pictures of peoples homes.
Went on a Tuesday around noon, not crowded at all.
Spent about 2.5h here walking around, shopping, and visiting a cafe. There are maps around with pinned attractions. You can also buy a paper map at the entrance.

Such an awesome cultural village conveniently located close to public transport. There is a lot of walking and tons of steps when you go but it is so worth it. You can come here for an hour or get lost in the back streets for half a day. There's heaps of culture and art and an interesting history with the village being a former refugee camp. I'd recommend paying the small fee to get the stamp collection map as it has a good route you can follow.

Beautiful place, I highly recommend picking up the stamp tour map for 2000 won at the tourist center as it provides you a route to see all the hidden gems in the town. The route was not difficult at all to go through. I spent around 3 hours there in total. Don't miss the photo deck on the 4th floor of the community center.

Really fun way to spend a day! Pretty easy to get to, catch a train to Toseong station, exit via exit number 6 and catch one of the green buses to the top of the hill. The bus goes past 3 of the entrances/exits, we actually got off a little early and ended up walking up more to the proper entrance (pic attached). There’s a strip of cute stalls and food shops all along the entrance, make sure you grab a map at the information center! This helped us find our way. We did route B. Was a very fun day.
BIFF Square, located in Busan, is a vibrant area known for its first-run movie theaters, street food stalls, and handprints of famous Korean actors. This district has been revitalized to support the growth of Korea's film industry. At night, the square comes alive with numerous street food tents offering popular Korean snacks like tteokbokki and dakkochi. Additionally, it is conveniently situated near various markets and shopping outlets.
After a seafood 🐠 meal at jagalchi, be sure to drop by here for more Street food, yummy grape drink at gong cha, and dozens of cute clothing stores. Very lively street in busan during night time.

✅ fried beef slice with egg (5000 won)
✅ ice cream (3000 won, very very long for 2 - 3 people can eat together haha). 🤣🤣🤣

The place for lovers of good street food. A wide variety of food stalls at a good price. I liked the beef meat pancake and the Hotteok, which is a fried dough ball filled with sugar, cinnamon, peanuts and sesame seeds, is simply delicious. The place is busy and there is no access to cars and it is best to get there using public transport or a taxi. If you use your own car to get there, there is a parking lot at the beginning of the street.

Pretty much like a street food market area with lotsa variety such as the ever famous fish cake with soup (must try and that warm soup ohh you can get free refill), that delish hot teok(syrup filled fried cake).
There are more variety but I have found during my trip not many stalls open. Maybe post pandemic lots of them closes for good ?
Ensure to bring some cash by the way as most of the street vendors only accept cash.

Yongdusan Park, located in downtown Busan, is a sprawling mountain park spanning 69,000 square meters. The park boasts over 70 species of trees and is adorned with various stone statues depicting Korean heroes. One of its main attractions is the iconic Busan Tower, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the city. Visitors can explore galleries and souvenir shops inside the tower or leave a love lock as a romantic gesture.
I couldn't go into the tower this time but the park was as lovely as it ever was. It is just a peaceful place to go and enjoy the day.

One of the must-sees in Busan. Especially the view at Tower is amazing. There are couple of ways to get to the park, but not all paths have escalators, though. If you come from east and inside the city, following narrow streets, there are just too many steps to climb and it is very tiring.

Peaceful oasis away from the city. I loved coming here for a walk in the mornings I was in Busan. It felt so calm and there are many locals in this area, a break from many other tourist attractions. I loved seeing the temples and art shops in this park
What’s better is that there are nearby markets that you can visit after taking a break at Yongdusan Park.

Honestly I recommend going during the day! It’ll be prettier for taking pictures. There’s a Busan Duty Free store at the park too so if you’d like to visit, you can do so. It’s a hike up using stairs so if you’re bringing elderly, they might need more time to climb up. You’ll get to spot a few cats 🐈⬛ at the park, some people will bring their dogs for walks too.

This park comes alive at night with lots of bright lights and very pretty videos projected on the large structures. There are escalators or many steps from the streets below. On your way up, you will find some interesting temple like display. There is also a route for busses to make their way up there as well. I did not make it into the tower itself, or the build where they sell food. Guessing both would be like Seoul Tower in view and options.

Very easily accessible parks via escalators from the main shopping street - and it takes you away from the hustle and bustle of the city immediately with its spacious environment and greeneries 👍🏻
This is also where the Busan tower resides, with multiple tour buses are parked - conveniently at a duty free gift shop too.
A great place to visit after your meals to kill some calories and visit 2 attractions at one go!

To have a nice green space elevated slightly above the city was really pleasant. The tower is located at the top of the hill. I didn't climb it but the gift shops were nice distractions. There was also a perfomance on that day. There were also plenty of places to sit down and enjoy the scenery. There's a traditional pavilion, a small park with exercise equipment and a small manmade(?) waterfall at the front entrance.
Jagalchi Market is a world-renowned seafood market located on the edge of Nampo Port in Busan. It offers an abundance of fresh seafood, including live, dried, and pickled varieties. The market is famous for its multi-story building housing live fish vendors and restaurants, as well as outdoor market alleys filled with the aroma of seafood. Established after the Korean War, it is known for its high number of female fishmongers and is a must-see destination for curious travelers.
Quite interesting place to visit, with lots of live seafood, plus dried ones upstairs. Good view behind the building with view of the sea. There is also a boat tour beside the building, where you pay 25000 krw for a 90 mins round trip to some key landmarks departing 4 times a day. Worth checking it out.

This place is a tourist attraction place. The seafood itself is reasonable. However, the other charges like cooking charges for each dish and per person charges jagged up the cost to mid $200 including the seafood cost. Nonetheless, my family and I had. Good time eating and enjoying the fresh seafood.

This review is based on the scenery, as I have seafood allergies. I most admired the layout of the buildings and the bay as seen from the pier, as as well the energy of the area. The vendors were mostly friendly and welcoming. There are other things you can eat besides seafood, such as ice cream and other snacks.

Jagalchi Seafood Market is renowned for its abundance of stalls selling live seafood, offering an incredible experience. Up on the second floor, numerous restaurants are ready to skillfully cook the seafood you've chosen from the bustling first floor. This indoor haven is an ideal spot for tourists seeking to savor the freshness of Korean seafood. The clean and controlled indoor environment stands out as a notable advantage, surpassing the experience provided by the outdoor stalls surrounding the building. Additionally, there's a complimentary observatory deck on the rooftop.

Visit for an interesting experience. You can see the variety of raw seafood available in Busan, including stingray, squid, giant crabs etc. All still live within the water tanks. I read that you can choose the seafood you’d like, and head for the second floor where it’s cooked for you, but we didn’t try it as we were still full from some fishcakes we tried earlier.

Must see place. All the seafood that you can imagine. You can select what you want to eat and they will make it for you upstairs.
I had King Crab, wild Abalone, live shrimp, and clams.
King Crab is not very good because it's been in the tank for a while. It has lost weight. Next time I am going to have them weigh each one and select the heaviest one since it all cost the same.
Shrimp is good because it's in season. I asked for the big ones because they have eggs.
The wild Abalone is okay, the meat is a little tough compared to the farm raise.
Clams are good. I just wish they were cook in the soup broth and serve them with the soup.

Watch out for aggressive shop owners in 2F, who have a hidden code of not stealing another’s customers. (Even the same stall numbers are owned by different people and they carry the same menus throughout.)
The food were pretty overpriced for us as we dive straight into 2F instead of buying the seafood at 1F. (As non-native Korean speakers, we didn’t know how best to haggle with the owners in 1F.)
The freshness of the seafood is unparalleled, nonetheless. Not to mention, the food portion! We ordered everything in the smallest portion but walked away fully stuffed!

Very fun and lively place. Lots of people hustling to sell their seafood and a huge variety of seafood to choose from. Crab, abalone, eel, many types of other fish.
At about 5pm when I visited, some of the stalls were already closing down so it’s maybe best to get here earlier in the day to see the market at its most busy.

Everything was so fresh and delicious. We got a king crab, scallops and clams from downstairs (#273) and they brought it upstairs for the restaurant to cook it. We were able to pay with card and they were very nice and patient with us. They also had additional items on the menu upstairs so we got stir fried octopus and onion pancake. Everything was delicious and it was so, so fresh.

Live seafood selection from level one, which can be cooked by stalls on level two. Or you can go to level two straight to order seafood. Personally, I feel that buying the seafood from level one is fresher, but ordering straight from level two stalls saved you the add-on service charges for the cooking. What is a must-have Abalone, Octopus 🐙, Sashimi, raw Crab 🦀... if you are a seafood lover.... the list is too long to continue.
Raymond Ng — Google review
So much fun! You can select your fresh seafood from the vendors downstairs and then take it upstairs to be prepared. If you're a seafood lover or are looking for a unique and yummy experience, then I highly recommend visiting.
The selection of seafood is somewhat smaller than I expected, with most vendors selling the same or a similar variety. Pricing can be very different from vendor to vendor (if you're foreign), so make sure you know what you should be paying or try visiting multiple stalls, to ensure you don't get ripped off.

It is a market, so expect fresh seafood. You can buy and cook at home/hotel or you can choose and ask them to cook and eat there. We tried steamed king crab which was served with a variety of seafood sides - sea pineapple (meongge in Korean), shells, seaweeds, fish, etc.

A traditional seafood market in Busan. Not much to buy for tourists apart from dried goods which are not particularly cheap either. But definitely an interesting visit nonetheless.
Recommend having a meal at the grilled fish restaurants along the market. Fish was really fresh. Best to come in a larger group to try the different varieties of fish.

It was closed, I walked through the stalls outside but honestly it is just a market with high prices. If you keep on walking on the way to the other market close to the tower you will find lower prices. I had the steamed snow crab for 70won/kg, that's the best price I found, at a restaurant across the street from this market and it was good but I tried the one with soy in Seoul and it was so much better.
Marco Andrade — Google review
There is other markets nearby but I guess this is the most popular one.
Plenty of seafood and dried foods to buy aka seaweed, cuttlefish, etc.
Settled down at a random restaurant for dinner on the second floor, and the snow crab was very very fresh!
There is an observatory deck on the top floor, need to climb stairs to get there. You’ll see gamcheon village on the right and other similar looking villages, overlooking the beautiful sea & ship bay!
L N — Google review
Great place to experience the hustle and bustle of the local live seafood market. Feel that this is a better option compared to the one in Seoul. There are lots of vendors to choose from with most selling similar items. Just go for one vendor that you like or clique well with.
Must try's are definitely the crabs. King crabs are significantly pricier, but the snow or spider crabs are a good alternative, especially if you are just 2 people dining.
Personal preference is to get most of the seafood grilled or steamed, especially for the shellfish, it just tastes better that way. Fishes are good for sashimi.
After buying your seafood, the shop keeper will bring you up to the second floor where it will be cooked, and you will just need to pay another 5-10 dollars for the cooking fee. Overall, a great experience!

Jagalchi Fish Market in Busan, South Korea, is a bustling seafood haven that immerses visitors in a vibrant aquatic world. The market's lively atmosphere, with vendors showcasing an extensive array of fresh catches, is a sensory delight. From live fish tanks to diverse seafood stalls, the market offers an authentic glimpse into Korean maritime culture. The seafood is impeccably fresh, and you can savor delicacies like sashimi right on-site. Navigating through the market's narrow alleys provides a unique cultural experience. Tried the King Crab from stalls 114/115 (Bada) based on good Google reviews - was not disappointed.
Picked out our goodies at the first floor from the stall owners. The nice lady explained to us the pricing (70k KRW/kg) and weighed our picks for us. We asked for a King Crab. She was not pushy and when learning it was just me and my girlfriend eating, suggested that we go for a smaller-sized crab. She also threw in a few free oysters and clams. After that, another nice lady brought our haul upstairs in a bucket and got us seated.
We ended up getting a small king crab (~1.5kg) with the oysters and clams for a total of 130,000 KRW. Thought the king crab was a bit too motionless, but I saw its mouth writhing so it was probably still alive enough. We were served banchan of kimchi, peanuts, seaweed, shredded cabbage, garlic, and chili peppers. They gave us wasabi with soy sauce and gochujang to eat with the seafood.
The crab was fresh, sweet, and well cooked. The head butter went really well with the rest of the crab (legs and all). It was steamed by default which I think is a great way to cook fresh seafood. The crab was perfect by itself.
The free molluscs were delightful steamed as well, though I prefer them a bit more raw. These tasted better with the sauces.
The base cost was 110k with 5k per person for table setting including banchan, and a 10k cooking fee for large stuff. Would've been 5k for smaller stuff.
This is probably the best 130 or so dollars we have spent (65 per person) in Korea because we were rolling out of the market giddy and giggling by the end of it all.

Had food poisoning from this, I was hesitant to make a review but after seeing other reviews of the similar case I was sure. View @ Jagalchi Market (부산 자갈치시장).
.
This the largest seafood market in South Korea, surrounded by the ample waters of the port around Jung-Gu, Busan.
.
The wet market at the ground floor of Jagalchi Market sells every kind of seafood available; fish, squid, octopus, shrimp / prawns, shellfish (clams, mussels, scallops, abalone), sea snails, crab, and more.
.
You can bring purchased fresh seafood to the restaurant level of Jagalchi Market, where they will then clean and cook exquisite dishes for you.
.
Ambience is lively and buzzing. The wet market area is a cacophony of sights and sounds, vendors calling out to passing visitors, customers haggling with stall owners, large displays of seafood flanking the main walking aisle. The restaurant area has the clang of woks and the woosh of flames, with rows of functional modern furnishings in the brightly lit area packed with customers enjoying their meals. Recommend to visit during early hours, or, after the peak meal periods.
.
Service is enthusiastic and friendly. The wet market vendors will thrust large menus with pictures and English descriptions at you, and are more than pleased to welcome inspection of their fresh seafood. Each stall on the wet market floor is affiliated with a corresponding partner stall on the restaurant level, once you've made a purchase, the wet market vendor will direct you to the partner restaurant stall owner. Here, the chefs will whip up delicious dishes using the cooking style of your choice. They offer recommendations, and orders are served efficiently. I note they clean up quickly too.

Food is Korean cuisine, focused on fresh seafood. You opt for a style of cooking, and the kitchen prepares it on the spot. Very convenient, and a great dining experience. Quality is consistently good, thanks in part to the freshness of the seafood. Most of the restaurants will also serve complimentary Banchan / Side Dishes, and you can order beverages too. Portions are sized for communal group dining and sharing. Prices command a slight premium.
Haeundae Beach is a bustling 1.5km-long stretch known for its fishing, swimming, and various festivals. It's regarded as one of the most recommended beaches in Busan, offering clear waters and a range of activities to enjoy. Visitors can swim, relax on the beach, and partake in entertaining water sports and games.
Eventhough it is crowded with people , really enjoyable place. Colors of the building are really matching with surrounding nature.

Fantastic place, really recommend to visit there. The beach is big enough and very clean. The view is also beautiful. Would recommend to visit it in the morning when is not that packed and it is also good time to take some nice photos.

The iconic beach.
+ Toilets are located along the beach.
+ Visit in April. Weather was good; but no swimming.
+ There were not many tourists on the beach.

Haeundae Beach is a popular spot in Busan and the hype is worth it. It's a beautiful and clean beach with really long shoreline. I sat on the sand here and just looked at the beach and the people for hours and it was relaxing.
Sunsets are beautiful from here too. And night walks are equally relaxing. It can get crowded but since its really big, it's never crammed.

Nice beach even though weather wasn't that great when I went. The street leading up to it was cool too, with nice cafes, restaurants and shops. There are buskers at designated spots, which was nice to watch

Very nice beach with a lovely environment. A lot of seagulls and the sunset view is just amazing. The night view is also great as there is a light show going on rightnow. A must visit.

Beautiful beach, beautiful people, birds, kites and events happening all the time everywhere. This place was brimming with life and action! The food was awesome around here too. The only place to get good international food that tastes AUTHENTIC in Korea (with minor exception of course). Swimming was great and surfing out of this world. Come here. Enjoy the sun and the sand.

Haeundae beach is a beautiful and serene place that I really enjoy visiting. I love the early mornings there, when the sun is just starting to rise and the beach is quiet and peaceful. It's the perfect time to take a walk and enjoy the stunning views. The beach itself is so clean and well-maintained. I love to watch the waves and listen to the sound of the ocean. Overall, Haeundae beach is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy nature.

The most famous sea beach in South Korea... though only less than a mile in length, it's always full of activities and people. Good place to spend time with friends and dear ones.

Nice beach area with a good boardwalk along the beach for a stroll or walk. Nearby with many nice hotels and restaurants to enjoy Many beach front hotels available. We stayed at a nearby condo with only a short to the beach. It is a friendly beach with WC nearby and a short walk to the traditional market where you can find many street foods and dining options. Busan is a chill city and people are nice. We enjoyed our stay and walk along the beach. Will love to come back again in the future.

Gorgeous beach. They had some festival while I was there in Oct 2022 and there were many stalls set up along the beach to sell food/drinks and handmade wares. Many families playing along the beach too. The sky there was simply stunning. would go again :)

I really enjoyed the views from this beach. The tall skyscrapers really were impressive on the background. The water was 14C in early April. The beach was well maintained.

I recently visited Haeundae Beach during their winter lighting festival, and it was truly a mesmerizing experience. The beach was adorned with an array of stunning lighting displays, featuring captivating themes like the globe, planets, sun, and moon. Throughout the area, dynamic lighting shows added to the enchanting atmosphere, creating a magical ambiance.
Not only were the lights a sight to behold, but the beach itself was a delight. The sand, incredibly white and soft, resembled fine grains of salt, providing a comfortable and picturesque setting.
One thoughtful detail that stood out was the presence of air guns stationed just outside the shopping mall at the end of the beach. This ingenious addition ensured that visitors could easily clean their shoes after enjoying the festivities, enhancing the overall experience.
Overall, Haeundae Beach's winter lighting festival offered a perfect blend of beauty, entertainment, and convenience, making it a must-visit destination for anyone seeking a memorable winter outing

A location where modernity blends with nature - combination of sea, sand, and high buildings. Yes, there are a lot of people but the atmosphere and views are truly marvelous.

A really nice beach - peaceful, not too commercialized. The beachfront itself isn’t full of commercial shops or anything, just pure beach! The beach is really clean, no litter or anything. Along the beach, there’s many places (steps) for you to sit with your company. The sunset view is lovely~
Taejongdae Resort Park in Busan is a picturesque clifftop park area that offers breathtaking views of the deep blue sea, stunning rocky cliffs, and fresh seafood. Located on Yeong Island, it is connected to Busan's mainland by a bridge and extends into the Korea Strait. The island becomes less developed as you move towards its tip where Taejongdae's natural wonders await.
One of the best places to visit in South Korea. Its not as touristy as some of the other beaches and the scenery is fantastic. There is a lovely little coffee shop about halfway on the walking trail. It has an all glass front that overlooks the ocean. There are nice lounge chairs to sit and enjoy the views. I Highly recommend.

The circuit track is approx. 4.5km along shady forest. It is nice and cool in the summer, especially with the sea breeze blowing. You can top up your water bottles with spring water along the circuit. I recommend getting off the main circuit and head down to isolated beaches or down to the lighthouse.
The only negative aspect of the park is the tram and not allowing bicycle entry. Avoid using the tram unless you have mobility issues. The trams are leally loud and makes the ride unpleasant.

Entrance with ticket that allows you to take a train to the top.
View point has a cafe (lvl 2) with glass panel for viewing
After which you can take a short walk to go to the viewpoint by the sea.
There are also few tents by the sea on the rock, which looks like dining service might be available.
Beautiful and windy place, involves a fair bit of walking and climbing of stairs.

Opt to NOT take the train to experience the beautiful coastal trails. Especially beautiful when visiting during the autumn months. However, do take note that a full round hike can take about 1.5 hrs (on casual speed) including rest.

A really huge park to explore the forest and see wonderful views of the ocean. We started off riding a train that brings us to different spots around the park.
There's a trail going to the hills with pine trees, there's a Buddhist temple that's been inside the park for a long time, there's an observatory, lighthouses, trails by the cliff etc. We spent about 4 hours inside but you can easily spend all day here if you really want to stop on every spot.
There's also places to eat and and there are gazebos and picnic areas too. There's a spot near the beach where the "haenyeo" women (divers) serve freshly caught seafood.
There's also a lot of spots to take really good photos. It's a great place to bring kids or have a date.

A must-visit-place in pusan! Please do buy a ticket for their tourist tram. It costs only 3000krw for a round trip. The hill is very steep om the entrance to the observatory.
Panoramic ocean view from the cafe located on the 3rd floor in the observatory is one of the best spot in Pusan ever.

Great place with lots to see!
The train takes you around the park and there are many landmarks and points of interest along the route.
Toilets are everywhere and there are also cafes and shops along the route.
I enjoyed the view over the water from the observatory and the lighthouse.
Tickets cost a couple of thousand won each for the train and I think the parking had a small fee also.
Probably best to visit in the summer, though even when I visited in winter it was a nice experience.

It's a great quiet place to visit! Beautiful nature, number of awesome spots for taking pictures, Buddhist temples-Taejongdae has it all. However, if you go during summer, make sure to take water and panama hats/caps with you as the road up the hill is steep and long!

This was one of my favorite places I've visited in South Korea. The walk itself was not difficult for me, it was a good hike through beautiful nature revealing the amazing view once you come to the lighthouse. It's a must visit.

It's not something noteworthy, in my opinion. It has a nice observatory, and the train ride was fun, but there way better places to visit in Busan

Absolutely had a blast regardless of amount of wind we had to face!
We took the tour train to save some time and made sure to walk around once we were at the top and ceased the day.
The wave was so dramatic from the wind and color of the sea was beautiful.
I had such a great time with my childhood friend and perhaps it was my friend who added the moment of joy more than anything.

Beautiful park with stunning views of the cliffs and the ocean. The park does get a little hilly, so taking the train is definitely recommended to get around. Do stop for some snacks at the observatory too - staring at the endless depth of the ocean on a chilly afternoon while enjoying some piping hot eomuk soup was one of my favourite experiences.
Lots of adorable cats at the observatory too!

This is a historical place in Korea. In the past, they used to offer prayers to the sea gods here at this rock. Now, they turned it into a park and a viewpoint to see the coast snd nearby districts of Ulsan.
Fromt the parking lot, there's a short hike to the rock. The view during the hike is beautiful. They built a bridge to connect the rocks and you can get really nice photos.
There are several tables and benches to relax or have a picnic.

A must visit in ulsan especially for the legendary rocks. The view to the ocean and the overall vibe is just stunning. Loved the experience

Glorious park, with an abundance to see and explore. Suspension bridge was a little scary, swaying in the forceful wind, but an incredibly impressive feat of engineering. The cliffs and crashing water line against the shimmering sea in the background, breathing in fresh air. A gaggle of free diving ajummas down some stairs, serving up their fresh catches on makeshift stoves, with guests sitting on makeshift stools around boards as tables. A family of cute cats running around at the top of the stairs enjoying life and escaping from curious tourists.

Amazing views here! The rock formations are nature’s wonder and the walking path is beautiful. This place is accessible with public bus though it takes more than an hour from the main mrt here. Worth the ride though! It takes about 1-2 hour to walk this entire area. There are some cute cats here if you look around

Very nice pine forests, rocks, bridges and splendid ocean views. I went in autumn so the breeze so there were yellow flowers blooming around the rocks even. Bring a warm jacket because it gets cold nearer to the sea. Although crowded, there is still enough room to enjoy.

One of the most impressive places I have visited in Korea. Especially seeing the sunrise from there, it is beautiful. A unique experience that I will never forget. The dawn of the new year is very cold, so I recommend bringing a good coat, gloves and everything you can think of. However the experience is never to be forgotten. They also have activities during the night and lasts until the next day. It is a very happy and fun holiday.
