Anu + Vavi ( Anuman + Ootru) is Lord Murugan who created a water source to help anumar to satisfy his thirst while carrying the sanjeevi Hill. This temple has Lord Murugan along Valli & Deivanai at tier 1 level and at tier 2 level Arunajalasesvarar temple is situated.
Needs to walk 500 steps to reach the temple. Little steep near the temple. Enough rest Places are there.
Temple is neatly maintained, and all steps are well laid. The pathway to the temple is beautiful.
Closes at 6 pm as there were instances of Elephant crossing at the downhill.
On the way to the Hill temple, the left side there is a vanakaruparayan temple. Need to walk a little distance.
Very good temple to visit during the evening with family. Temple is surrounded by dense forest.
Visited on Sunday evening and not much crowded.
Lots of parking available with Rs.20 charged for car.

This temple is located near Chinna Thadagam, it is a hidden gem.
To reach the temple we need to climb 500 steps as it's not accessible by road. The temple is open from 8 am to 6 pm, I highly recommend visiting within these hours. Beyond the designated timings, the path becomes an active animal crossing area, and encounters with elephants are possible.
The main deity of the temple is Lord Murugan, but there is also a dedicated shrine for Lord Shiva. To reach the shrine, we have to climb an additional 100 steps from Murugan temple.
I was pleasantly surprised by the temple's commitment to sustainable practices, they utilise solar energy, which is truly commendable.
The temple is also well-maintained and kept clean. There is ample parking available, and a small parking fee is charged.
The highlight of this temple is the breathtaking view of the Western Ghats. You can enjoy the scenic beauty and peaceful atmosphere. It's truly a refreshing escape from the noise and chaos of everyday life.
If you're using public transport, you can take bus number 11A, which runs from Ukkadam to Anuvavi Kovil, and it conveniently stops near the temple.
Overall, my visit to this temple was a fulfilling experience.

A good temple situated near periyathqdagam. If you're coming from Coimbatore you have to come by Thadagam Road and you have to take a left diversion to temple which is about 2.50Km. You have to park your vehicle and climb about 300 steps to reach temple. Bus service is also available. We have seen 11A bs there. The steps were not steep. Time required is about 15 to 20 minutes. We visited on a Sunday and we reached the adivaram at about 8am. Temple is open from 8am till 6pm as per the board displayed down near the staring of the steps.
You'll have a peaceful experience on the temple. The place is not crowded also. Overall it's a good experience.

Nestled amidst the serene Anuvavi Hills in Periya Thadagam, just on the outskirts of Coimbatore, lies the enchanting Anubhavi Subramaniar Temple. Steeped in history and shrouded in mystique, this temple holds a special place in the hearts of devotees and travelers alike.
Legend has it that the sanctum sanctorum of this temple was erected by none other than Karikala Chola during the early Christian Era, adding layers of antiquity to its already captivating aura. But it's not just the historical significance that draws people here; it's the tales of divine intervention and spiritual awakening that truly capture the imagination.
One such tale tells of Sri Anjaneyar, who, feeling parched during his journey with the Sanjeevi mount, sought solace and relief in the divine presence of Lord Muruga at this very hill. In response to his plea, Lord Muruga, with a stroke of his Vel, created a spring from which water flowed abundantly, quenching Sri Anjaneyar's thirst. To this day, the origin of this miraculous spring remains a mystery, adding an air of mysticism to the temple grounds. No wonder it's revered as Hanumakumaran Malai, a testament to the divine interconnections between gods and devotees.
Visitors to the temple are greeted not only by its rich history and spiritual significance but also by the breathtaking scenery that surrounds it. The temple's location amidst verdant hills provides a picturesque backdrop for moments of contemplation and introspection.
At the heart of the temple lies the sanctum of Lord Murugan, drawing devotees from far and wide to seek blessings and solace. Additionally, the presence of the Arunachaleswara sanctum atop the Lord Murugan sanctum adds another layer of spiritual depth to the experience.
While reaching the temple might require a climb of 500 steps, the journey is well worth it. Not only are the steps easily navigable, but they also offer glimpses of natural wonders, including the elixir pouring from the mountain and the discovery of a sittar cave along the way, inviting visitors to connect with the divine and the natural world in equal measure.
Moreover, the temple's tranquil ambiance, punctuated by the melodic chirping of birds and the soothing sounds of nature, creates an atmosphere conducive to meditation and reflection, making it a perfect retreat for weary souls seeking solace and serenity.
Must visit !

Anuvavi Subramaniar temple is at a distance of 13 km from the Gandhipuram bus stand in Anaikatti road.
Two town busses, 11 a and 26a, are available to the destiny.
It will take a maximum of 25 minutes to travel in a car or two-wheeler to reach the foothill.
It's a calm, pleasant, natural environment. To reach the temple, climb 450 steps to see the Lord Subramaniar with Valli and Theivanai.
To pray, Lord Siva, climb another 100 steps. From the temple 360° view is beautiful. 4 toilets are available adjacent to the temple. Good drinking water is available at the temple.
Can pray at the base Vinayagar, in the steps, Idumpan. They provide lunch for 50 people daily and can pay a minimum donation of Rs.50 and to a max Rs 2500. Paid parking is available. It's advisable to go between 8.30 am and 4 pm. It is an elephant trail, so be cautious and avoid travel early in the morning and after 4.30 pm. It is better to carry water and, if required, snacks. No shops or hotels. Kindly avoid polluting the hill and temple.

This temple is a gem that perfectly captures the essence of South Indian temple architecture and culture.
The intricate carvings and colorful sculptures that adorn the temple's walls are nothing short of awe-inspiring.
The attention to detail is remarkable, and it's evident that the artisans put their heart and soul into creating this masterpiece.

The Maruthamalai Arulmigu Subramanya Swami Temple is a Hindu temple located in the town of Marudhamalai, about 14 kilometres south of Coimbatore. The temple is dedicated to Lord Murugan, also known as Subramanya and is one of the most popular religious destinations in Coimbatore. The temple features elaborate carvings and gilded shrines, as well as dramatic valley views.
This temple has got a very good vibe. It can be climbed through stairs (which r not very hard) and also can be reached to by vehicle. Will hardly take 40 min to reach the top by climbing. But once you reach there you absolutely feel great. There are multiple Gods in the temple. The whole effort of climbing is worth it.

Architecture of the Temple is phenomenal. To reach there you can go by stairs (700+) or by transport available outside at bottom of hill. You can go there before 7:00 pm as when it gets dark wild animals might find you. View from the temple is breathtaking. If it rains/there are clouds, you're lucky to see those scenes on hill. Clouds might come through the temple (happened with me). City looks great from the top. I Highly recommend to visit.

1. You can reach the temple by govt bus or red taxi cab. Ola/Uber won't come to this place mostly.
2. If you book red taxi, take hourly package 3 to 4 hrs) because if you take one way trip, you can't book it again from temple top. The mobile tower is not available at the top. (red taxi cab be booked only through phone call)
3. If you take govt bus, you need to take another mini bus to reach top. (ticket price 10rs).
4. Once you reach the top, you need to take another 75 steps to reach the temple. It may be slightly difficult for some elderly people as the steps are steep in some places.
5. There are also steps to reach the temple. Around 1000 steps which will take 45 mins to 1 hour.
6. Best time to reach the temple is 4pm to 5 pm in the evening. There won't be much crowd and you can finish all dharshan in 45 mins to 1 hour.
7.Once you reach the temple, take special ticket which is 20rs. You can have a closer look of lord Murugan and also it's quicker

Good temple with ancient history. Had to wait almost for 2 hours to get to mountain top car parking area since they allow only about 10 vehicles at a time to top of the hill due to parking space issue. Among the most amazing temples I've ever been to. The location is incredibly beautiful and calming. The presence of nature is felt. The top hill's view looks to be really amazing. The location is bounded on three sides by hills. If you are visiting the location, make sure that you walk past the stairs and stop at the temples along the way. This is one of Murugan's Abodes (Arupadaiveedu), signifying the six abodes of Lord Murugan representing the six different forms related to events in his life. The temple, a popular 12th-century hill temple, is situated 12 kilometers from Coimbatore. What makes this Murugan temple special is its location on the eastern face of the hill, distinguishing it from other Murugan temples atop hills. This astonishing, magnificent, and beautiful temple crowns the summit of Marudhamalai Hills. The gentle, refreshing breeze feels heavenly to the devotees, offering an enchanting sight of the lush mountainous surroundings. Peacocks grace the hills, adding to the beauty of this truly amazing place.
The temple is a small temple on the hill. All the services were good according to me. There is a temple provided bus service that connects downhill to uphill and the bus only costs 10 ₹. The hair donation is also free but there is some unaccounted money taken (Mostly around 200 ₹). The waiting time is very low in normal seasons. There are special tickets which are 50₹ per person. The stairs are also good but it's a little uncomfortable and I would not recommend it unless you are not able to climb stairs easily. The temple has a very good environment and the cleanliness of the temple was good. The stairs close approximately 5pm and the last bus service from uphill to downhill is 8pm. So reaching there before these times would be reasonable. There is a good amount of parking uphill for cars and bikes. Definitely would recommend for any type of transport public and private. I have tried this temple in all different holidays and the wait times are always very low unless there is an abishekam going on. Where people have to wait for the abishekam to end. It mostly takes 40mins for the abishekam to end.

In the center of Coimbatore, this mall is among the greatest and biggest, well-kept ones. There are four floors total, including three basements. There are numerous stores, including department stores, food courts, mobile shops, cosmetics, eyewear, and electronics. There are theaters, banquet spaces, and more. Kids can also enjoy themselves in Fun City. The basement has a large car park area. Additionally, there is Spar Supermarket. There are automated teller machines. Each floor has its own restrooms. What else can I say? Just have fun exploring.

I recently visited the mall and was thoroughly impressed. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a friendly and helpful staff. The mall itself was very well-organized I also enjoyed the food court, which had a variety of delicious options. The atmosphere was great and it was a very enjoyable experience. I would highly recommend the mall to anyone looking for a great shopping experience
The best mall to visit in Coimbatore in my opinion .
.
Very large as well as spacious plus lots of shops available .
.
The security and all things are properly maintained plus the neatness in the mall is good too .
.
Alternative parking for two wheelers is available .
.
The food court is Fantastic lots of shops available .
.
The newest McCafe addition is wonderful too .
.
Some shops might require the Brooks card..then reputed shops like kfc ,mcds and such don't need the brooks card .
.
Toilets and wash areas are well maintained too.
.
Overall Excellent place would recommend Brookfield always
It’s in the heart of the city anna easily accessible
Clean and nicely maintained
Caring staffs. Even says not to send kids alone in escalators and stop if any kids tries to enter.
Fun city in mall has play area good enough for 5 year kids
Has good food options especially non veg

Nice and quiet big mall. One will find shops of all reputed brands. Good and spacious food court, with variety of options. Washrooms are clean. Good parking space. Only flip side is - the exit becomes crowded in the evening and it is difficult to catch uber, ola, redtaxi from the exit that time (evening). Enjoy 👍

The location of DHYANALINGAM is suggested to be conducive for peaceful meditation. The presence of a Shiva linga adds to the calming environment, which could help in attaining inner peace. It is recommended that individuals spend at least 10 minutes meditating here, while maintaining absolute silence. Consistent practice of meditation at this place may aid in achieving mental tranquility over time.

Well, big land converted to a religious place having Lor Shiva's statue 🙏 but other than the statue, it is just a place where you can enjoy some food, have shower, and see bullock cart. Lastly a Dome, also called Dhyanlinga where you can sit and meditate. It can also be done at home for people who don't know. Try this, go back home and close your eyes, empty your mind and call upon whoever you worship. God is within you.
They have SAVE SOIL slogan and they love animals. There is bullock cart in 50° degrees carrying passengers from one place to the other. I mean we have battery cars and golf cars but they love animals and want them to know that they are loved deeply. Lets make these poor animals carry 9 people at once under the 50° degree sun. Touche!
Tradition can be supported with technology too, we don't need to harm animals this way. We could barely walk in the sun and these poor animals were carrying so many people. God forgive these people who are doing this to animals 🙏
BATH FACILITY - We had shower in the morning so we didn't go shower here. I mean it's not elixir otherwise we would have definitely.
DHYANLINGA - the road (walk only) leads to dhyanlinga but when its nearly 50° degrees, it makes it difficult to walk barefoot on the UNEVEN and hot surface. They could have put Carpet on the foor covering uneven surface but i guess they were short of funds and also they wanted you to feel the culture. You are going to feel that culture the next day too when your feet hurts. There were old people walking slowly and some of them were pouring water on the floor to walk on that hot surface. It was 3PM and Carpet is a must for people who aren't used to walking on the uneven hot surface.
Finally when you reach dhyanlinga, they will force you to sit inside dome and meditate. We recently had an accident and couldn't sit on floot so they forced us to sit on the chair. We didn't want to be rude so we sat for 2 minutes. There was a small baby crying very softly and these CARETAKERS asked the lady to get out pointing finger as if she made a huge mistake. If they can't respect humanity, what good will come of anything they practice in life. We saw that and immediately stood up. 2 of them tried blocking our way. Well, just to be clear, We bow to God only and there was no God here. We are not slaves they need to get this to their heads. We left instantly without responding to them.
By the way, the best feeling was when we bought 3 packets of biscuits and made the dog eat. He was very happy and kept coming back to give his love. That was the only good feeling we got. We made sure the dog wasn't hungry anymore and then left back for the hotel.
Canteens are everywhere so don't worry if you miss one. There are more on the way. Also phones were not allowed but we noticed some of them carrying it quietly with them. The deposit box is safe. They take your photo and phone number. So nothing to worry about.

I’m reviewing about a unique 'space' on our planet. It needs some introduction.
I’ve a great respect for Tamil people. They follow their age old culture and traditions even today.
Countless Sages & realized beings have illuminated this land since time immemorial.
Sage Agastya , (who wrote our horoscopes in palm leafs known as Nadi Astrology thousands of years ago. Even foreigners come to places like Tanjore to get their horoscope)
Thiruvalluvar, Ramana Maharshi, the great Mahavatar Babaji (I was initiated to Babaji’s Kriya Yoga by Sri M),
Bhogar (It was Bhogar who first noticed the presence of Murugan, the son of Lord Shiva at Palani and made an Idol for him using ‘navapashanas’ or 9 poisons, When these 9 poisons are mixed in a certain proportion, it can heal all ailments)
and finally Lord Shiva himself spent some time on Velliangiri Mountains to grieve his lover’s death. (His wife Parvathi took the life of a Tamil girl in one of her previous life known as Devi Kanya Kumari). That is why this place is known as the Kailash of the South.
Even Sadhguru , in his previous life left his body on Velliangiri mountains. That is the reason he built Isha Yoga Centre just near the velliangiri mountains.
I’ve been longing to visit Dhyanalinga Temple and spent some time inside it since I hear about Sadhguru and read his biography, ‘Sadhguru, More than a Life’. .
We’ve thousands of temples all over the country, but there is one and only one Dhyanalinga Temple. It’s unique.
There is no idol or deity of any kind inside. Only a cylindrical shaped linga with 7 chakras or energy centres as of in a human system with all the chakras energized to its fullest and traped in the linga by sadhguru using his yogic power. It’s a pure energy work.
If anyone who haven’t even heard of mediation comes and sits in front of the linga in silence, he automatically falls to meditation. So Dhyanalinga is also known as meditating machine. Dhyanalinga temple has an important role to play for the centuries to come ahead.
As there is no idol of any kind inside, no rituals are required here.
There is no need to pray inside the temple, just sit in silence. The dhyanalinga will lay the ‘Egg of liberation’ within us. It’ll accelerate our spiritual evolution.
I visited here on Jan31, 2021. Due to corona pandemic, there were many restrictions. Suryakund etc were kept closed however Dhyanaligna Temple was open.
I wasn’t prepared for this journey. I accidentally reached Coimbatore with a friend who wanted to meet his girl friend studying in some college here. We had liquor and non veg food previous days. Yet it was a wonderful experience inside the temple.
If one comes well prepared (having veg foods, little mediation etc), one may have mystical experiences inside the temple.
I was in Coimbatore last week also, but I couldn’t visit Isha Yoga Centre. I’ll be coming here soon with a little bit of preparation.

The credit to all the information I shared here goes to Sadhguru himself, he is a living encyclopedia.

You may have gone to too many temples for seeking health, children, money, marriage issues and they may or may not have helped you to find solutions. But this is of a different kind of temple. You must visit this temple If you are in so much pain of any kind and have not found solutions. If you are sensitive then it's energies will definitely shake your being. If there are temples that are to be visited once in their lifetime then this is it. Do visit and experience the power of Dhyanalinga with open mind and without any expectation😇🙏

Absolutely stunning place to visit once in a lifetime. This is a meditation hall with residences around for the people who visit this place for a purpose. Camera, phones, bags and footwear are not allowed but there is a stall right at the entrance to submit these materialistic stuffs. Basically it's somewhat like leaving all material things behind to enter this area. This is run by the Isha foundation and it is just a km away from the Adiyogi statue. Dhyanalinga is the main highlight of this area where people just sit across the huge linga and meditate as much longer as they want. This is a very peaceful place to be around with all the people doing yoga and meditating in the premises. Must visit!

Dhyanalinga is present within the premises of Isha Yoga Center. And once you cross Adiyogi statue you need to submit mobile phones and bags to enter the premises where all Kunds, Linga Bhairavi is present.

You will generally walk into one direction making way past across all the Kunds, Temple etc. while before exiting once you look on your right there is an entrance which will lead you to enter Dhyanalinga which at first glimpse will look like the best thing your eyes has ever laid upon. The place maintains complete silence as it usually a place where people meditate in silence.

Dhyanalinga Situated around 30 kilometres from the city of Coimbatore, the Dhyanalinga Temple is a place made up of yogic science. Just silently meditating for a while within the sphere of Dhyanalinga is enough to make one aware of the divine energy.

I would give here 3 stars as everything goes well during my visit but one thing I noted here is that the employee of mgmt forced people to make a circle around the Shivling. Which should not be supposed to be done. Otherwise everything at Dhyanalinga is good.
You're not allowed to bring phones here, one needs to submit it at the counter at the entrance.

One of a kind meditation place. Mobile phones and plastic bottles are not allowed inside. Absolute silence to be maintained during the visit of this temple. No chanting or anything to be done during your meditation; just need to sit with your eyes closed and palms facing upwards. Initially we are supposed to stare at the linga for 2 minutes, and then close our eyes and meditate for as long as we want, but minimum of 15 minutes which will be intimated by ringing of a bell.

An architectural masterpiece of 112 feet Adiyogi. Adiyogi is situated in the middle of all hills. You have to go almost 8 to 10 KM inside from NH44 highway. Ample amount of car parking, electric buggies, and Carts pulled by bulls to transport from the parking place to the statue. The overall experience was great . There are a lot of food stalls and the prices are very nominal. It’s a free entry monument. The yoga center offers a serene retreat for spiritual seekers. The merchandise shopping allows you to buy different things. Better to visit in the evening, you can see the laser light show in the statue, it will start around 7:10pm everyday.

The most peaceful place I’ve ever been to. Saadhguru has such an amazing initiative of save the soil. Please go to the main temple first have a bath in the holy waters and sit and meditate but before doing so you need to deposit your mobile phone and bags(extremely safe and easy). You will be surprised how your meditation goes it felt like 5 minutes for me but I was in deep meditation for hours. It is stunning and peaceful inside. Pray nicely and channel your inner energy here. There are lovely food places inside the main temple which you could indulge in and it’s also cheap. The Adiyogi statue lights up at night from 19:20pm and they have a laser lights show for about 20 minutes or so which is so stunning it is state of the art technology and so insightful. Please support this and donate if you can.

This statue deserved a 5 star rating. I didn't observe anything negative which I can mention here. The path that leads to the statue is clean and water tanks are installed on the way. You'll come here from the back of Shivji and then at the front you can either sit or stand to attend the show.
The light and sound show is amazing. The sound quality of the speaker is good. The story they tell is amazing. Although instead of english and the local language, it'll be good if the whole show is elaborated in hindi. One can come here to enjoy the light and should show experience.

Little issues needed to be fixed regarding the timings of light show and management of people, seating arrangements and clarity of programs.
It’s a must go in India. If you haven’t explored the world. This will be a 5 star in that case.

The place is absolutely great to visit but it's a bit crowded and people do not visit this during the afternoon or summer , the sun will roast you up.
You have an option to reach the main place by front and back gate by vehicle where you have to pay 20 ₹ (but the electric vehicle guy charged us double , nominal charge and followed by an additional charge for themselves) .
Also you have an option of bullock cart.

Yesterday’s visit to the Isha Yoga Center was an experience that stands out in my memory. Nestled at the foothills of the Velliangiri Mountains, the center exudes a tranquil energy that is both grounding and uplifting.
The highlight of my visit was the Adiyogi Shiva statue. Towering at 112 feet, it is a sight to behold and serves as a powerful reminder of the yogic sciences’ potential for transformation. The sheer scale and artistry of the statue left me in awe, and the peaceful surroundings provided a perfect backdrop for some quiet reflection.
The Dhyanalinga was another profound experience. Sitting in its presence, I could feel a deep sense of peace that is hard to put into words. It’s a space that seems to cut through the noise of daily life and invites you into a moment of stillness.
The center is well-maintained, and it’s evident that a lot of thought has gone into creating an environment that supports self-discovery and spiritual growth. From the Nada Aradhana to the Pancha Bhuta Kriya, every element is designed to facilitate a deeper connection with oneself.
In conclusion, my visit to the Isha Yoga Center was a journey into tranquility and self-awareness. It’s a place I would recommend to anyone looking for a pause from the hustle and bustle of life to reconnect with their inner self

Adiyogi in Coimbatore is a truly awe-inspiring place that captivates both the mind and the soul. As soon as you set foot on the premises, you are immediately struck by the grandeur and magnificence of this architectural marvel.
The centerpiece of Adiyogi is the colossal statue of Lord Shiva, standing at an impressive height of 112 feet. The level of detail and craftsmanship that has gone into creating this statue is truly remarkable. It exudes a sense of power, tranquility, and spiritual energy that is felt by all who visit.
The surroundings of Adiyogi are equally enchanting, with lush greenery, serene water bodies, and beautifully landscaped areas. It creates a tranquil and peaceful atmosphere where visitors can enjoy moments of reflection and introspection.
The site also offers various facilities and amenities to enhance the overall experience. There is a meditation hall where one can engage in self-reflection and find inner peace. Additionally, there are informative displays and exhibits that provide insights into Indian mythology, yoga, and spirituality.
One aspect that stands out about Adiyogi is the dedication and knowledge of the staff. They are friendly, approachable, and always ready to provide assistance or answer any questions visitors may have. Their passion for preserving and sharing the teachings of yoga and spirituality is clearly evident.
Whether you are a devotee seeking spiritual solace or simply looking to admire breathtaking architecture, Adiyogi in Coimbatore is an exceptional destination. It offers a unique blend of beauty, tranquility, and spiritual energy that leaves a lasting impression on all those who enter its sacred grounds.

The Eachanari Vinayagar Temple, located in Coimbatore, is a historic temple dedicated to Lord Ganesha. The temple's tower is intricately carved and draws visitors from all over the world due to its splendid architecture and peaceful ambiance. According to legend, the temple's 6-feet tall Vinayaga idol was being transported to another location when it got stuck at its current location after the cart's axle broke.
Located on national highway NH209. Vinayagar statue in almost 6 feet, we can worship the god from a distance without hassle.
Well maintained temple. A beautiful temple with good ambiance . Every day Ganapathy homam is performed. Powerful and vibrant Vinayagar
Must visit place and it is only 15 Km away from Coimbatore.
This Temple is opened from 5am everyday and is closed at 10pm without any break of worship time.

This is very famous temple in coimbatore. People come here from many places to worship god Vinayaka. For new vehicles, new business come here for special pooja. In the side there is sacred fig tree under which naagar statues are present. It will be cool inside the temple always and is not closed in afternoons. This temple has golden chariot, goshala, flower garden, yagasala, a shop having spiritual book, holy threads and vinayaga's photos. This temple is very spacious and not so crowded in weekdays except on monthly chaturthi's. Every day annadhanam is offered in afternoons. Restrooms are available here.

This place has inbuilt Mandapam for marriage functions and avail annadhanam.
Also, I saw there were little maintenance work going in there for enhancement.
Facilitated with parking for both two and four wheeler.
You can wash your legs before entering the temple.
Shops available nearby to buy poojai items.
Separate place to break coconut which is located nearby Arasamaram Vinayagar.
Restrooms and wash area are available.
We went from Prozone mall to this location by using Google Maps, which was really helpful.

Eachanari Vinayagar temple was unique of its own because of its location as well as the ample space around. Before the puliyakulam vinayagar this was in place I remember the age old traditional structures around, when there were no flyovers it will be too crowded.
Now recently the flyover actually helps us to peacefully park our vehicle and get into the temple.
Ticket for vehicle Pooja - Rs.20
Outside shops:
Coconut plate - Rs.100
Garland for car & 5 lemons - Rs.380 (Very over priced )
The temple was sparking clean and we had a peaceful Dharshan as well did the Pooja for our new vehicle without any hassles. May be just it was the next day to pongal it was not that crowded.
A calm and soulful experience! ❤️🌾💐

Om Maha Ganadhipathaye Namaha !
Peaceful temple. Whenever we buy a vehicle its a mandatory feel comes to heart that we should visit God Ganapathy here and get his blessing. Blissful temple.
One thing about the pooja items shop in front of the temple is , they are cheaters selling one lotus and handful of arugampul for Rs.80, also 5 lemons and a small coconut for Rs.70, so you can get things from your home or other shops while coming to temple itself. These shops keepers have that attitude, if you want then buy else go because we don't lose anything because of you. So better don't buy anything.

The Malampuzha Dam, constructed in 1955, is the largest reservoir in Kerala and a popular tourist destination in Palakkad. The road leading to the dam is well-maintained and easy to follow using a map. There is ample parking space available at minimal charges. Entrance queues are generally short, although it's important to note that accessing the ropeway requires a separate entry point outside of the dam premises.
Best place to visit for a half day trip. it is very easy to spend time with family. Located near by palakkad. Kids can enjoy the snake park and aquarium. Adults can enjoy the boating and rope car service. Ambient open parking space is available here. But no free drinking water. Dam and Gardens offer an enjoyable experience for individuals and families seeking entertainment and natural beauty. The dam, gardens, and serene surroundings create a perfect setting for relaxation and recreation. However, the management should prioritize the safety of the kids' play area by conducting regular inspections and addressing any maintenance issues promptly. Additionally, investing more effort into garden maintenance and customer service would significantly elevate the overall quality of the attraction. With these improvements, Malambuzha Dam and Gardens could become an even more exceptional destination for tourists and locals alike.

Just a spot to spend the evening. Lot of parking space available at 15rs. Ticket costs 30 for adults and 10 for kids. Has a large kids play area. Rope way wasn’t running when I went now. I have been to it as a kid and being open its scary and interesting.
There is a suspension bridge and boating to enjoy. Boating closes at 6PM and costs about 450 for motor boat.
Like the park, the toilet isn’t maintained either. They take 5rs which hope they will ise to clean the toilet at least once in a while.

One of the must visit places in Palakkad. Road is very good, just follow the map to reach here. There is ample parking space and the charges are minimal. The queue at entrance will be small.
This is not the entry to ropeway and it can be accessed from outside only. Once you exit from the dam premise you will have to ticket again to enter. I tried ropeway before entering dam.
There is ample space in the garden. Snacks can be bought inside the premise. Restrooms are available at the entrance. This is a crowded area. Its defined worth visiting. It will be very hot during summer and carrying an umbrella will be good.

Great place to spend a vacation evening. Entry for adults @Rs.30/-. A walk on the dam top offers beautiful views. The expansive gardens are good, but lacking in maintenance and cleanliness. Excellent place to visit. Highly recommended for families. To completely explore the gardens, at least four hours required. Have to walk for all these stretches. Recommended to carry an umbrella irrespective of season. Lack of trees makes the garden more humid. You can walk through the top of dam.

Such a beautiful park and a wonderful place to visit in Kerala. It’s filled with garden and few of the statues they build it. I would prefer to go either early morning before 11.00AM nor post 4 clock. A good place to spend time with family , friends and couples as well. And for children they have their Separate place to play. Varieties of flowers and a Buddha statue stole my heart in the beginning it self.
From the entry, we need to walk through steps for top of the damn. And hanging bridge is an attraction for entire park. Also you can try ropeway to see entire park and the beauty of the dam. Especially evening time sunset will be so mesmerising from top of the dam.
Rope way per person 71/- they do charge and it’s really worth. There is separate entry for rope way outside the park. Inside the park connection they had closed it.
To see the entire view point I would must prefer to try rope way and enjoy the ride of around 20 mins.
For cool drinks and snacks available inside the park and place will be there to relax for a bit if you get tired of walking.
And try avoid going in summer as you will get tan.

The Palakkad Fort, which has been preserved since 1766 CE, contains a garden and pathways for walking. Additionally, there is a temple dedicated to Hanuman and a playground on the premises. Although its early history remains largely unknown, the fort holds great historical significance. Many Malayalam films have been filmed here making it quite popular as well.
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Palakkad Fort in the evening, and it proved to be a delightful experience. This historic fort not only offers a glimpse into the past but also provides a serene and airy atmosphere, perfect for a leisurely walk and a breath of fresh air.
As I entered the fort, I was immediately struck by its architectural beauty and rich historical significance. The well-preserved fort walls, bastions, and gateways exuded a sense of grandeur and stood as a testament to the region's cultural heritage. It was fascinating to explore the various sections of the fort, each with its own story to tell.

I liked the way that this fort is being maintained. I liked it a lot. The waterway around the first have lots of tortoises and fishes in it which was very nice to watch. This fort made me remind the medieval time period. The one and only thing which make families get irritated here is the public nuisance made by lover over here, which should me kept on control my the archaeological department and police department.

Palakkad Fort, also known as Tipu's Fort, is a historic fortress located in the town of Palakkad in Kerala, India. The fort has historical significance and is a popular tourist attraction in the region.
The fort was constructed by Hyder Ali, the ruler of Mysore, in the 18th century and later expanded by his son, Tipu Sultan. It is a well-preserved structure that reflects the architectural style of that era. The fort is characterized by its massive stone walls, bastions, and a large moat surrounding it, which was once filled with water.
Here are some key aspects of Palakkad Fort:
1. Historical Significance: The fort played a crucial role in the history of Kerala as it served as a strategic military base for Hyder Ali and Tipu Sultan. It witnessed many battles and was an essential part of their defense in the region.
2. Architectural Charm: The fort's architecture is a blend of Mysorean and European styles. It features large stone walls, intricately designed doors, and a well-planned layout that includes a mosque and granaries.
3. Museums: Inside the fort, there are two museums, the Palakkad Fort Museum and the District Historical Museum. These museums house a collection of artifacts, weaponry, and historical items that provide insights into the region's history.
4. Scenic Surroundings: The fort is surrounded by lush greenery and gardens, making it a pleasant place for a leisurely stroll and exploration.
5. Accessibility: Palakkad Fort is easily accessible from the town center and is a popular destination for both history enthusiasts and tourists.
While the fort is historically significant and provides a glimpse into Kerala's past, it's not as grand or imposing as some other forts in India. Nonetheless, it's worth a visit if you are in Palakkad and interested in history and architecture. The fort's tranquil surroundings and the opportunity to learn about the region's history make it a worthwhile stop for travelers.

Though seeing students in corners making out does put you in spot especially when with your kids. There's enough space to keep on moving & exploring 😄... Good views from fort tops... One can feel relaxed. Parking is ample and it's charged. Beside the fort there's a garden. We had to leave unfortunately to reach another place so couldn't explore it. I recently visited the historical fort in Palakkad, and it's another great spot for family and friends to explore. The presence of a temple inside the fort adds to its cultural significance. One of the positive aspects is the ample car parking area and the availability of toilet facilities, making the visit more convenient. The fort also caters to families with children by providing a nearby park. However, one significant downside is the early closing time of 5 pm, even on holidays. This early closure negatively impacts tourism, as many visitors may prefer to explore the fort later in the evening. It would be beneficial if they extended the visiting hours on holidays, perhaps until 7 pm, to better accommodate tourists and enhance the overall experience.

A marvelous spot in the center of the town. Entry ticket cost rs 25 for adults. Suggested for a 30 minutes to one hour time span. Fort is almost well maintained, but some area in the backside is filled with creepers and shrubs. Also a temple is situated inside this fort building. Rock pillars and other structures in the fort makes it attractive. Now it is maintained by archeological survey of India. It is just 5 kilometres away from palakkad junction railway station, which costs a rs 13 in local bus ( in 2023). Buses are continuously available from entrance of the railway station itself.

Its an old fort now under the control of Archaeological survey of India . Those who like to know the history of monuments and enjoy its features it's a good choice. And it's a place where you can spent some time with your friends and family. The ticket rate is just Rs 25 per person. You can just roam around and sit in the shades of the trees with friends and family.
Parking available . Overall it's a nice place.

It is an ASI protected monument, hence maintained well. Other than the sign board outside, there is an information gallery once you enter the fort, which is not up to mark. But most of the people do not get to know there is an information gallery due to lack of sign boards. It is a place where people can go sit for some time in the park inside the fort and under the trees outside the fort. Ticket price is Rs.25. There is a Hanuman temple at the entrance of the fort.

Palakkad Fort is a beautiful fort located in Palakkad town. Built by Hyderali, the ruler of Mysore, this fort is very beautiful. The main attractions are the water-filled moats outside the fort, ramparts, watch towers and the temple inside the fort. You can visit the fort from 6 to 8 in the morning for free. Best time to visit is morning and evening.

The Palakkad Fort is an ASI protected monument, maintained well. There is a lack of signboards which hinders wayfinding. The huge canopy of the tree provides shade and serene atmosphere.
The entry ticket is Rs.25/-. Opening time is from 8.30am to 5.30pm

The Pothundi Dam is a 19th-century structure made of earth that serves as a barrier to retain water, creating a reservoir used for both fishing and irrigation purposes. This dam was built using natural materials such as soil, rocks, and clay. It functions by preventing the flow of water from the river and instead storing it in an artificial lake formed by the dam.
Arulmigu Masani Amman Temple is an elaborate and full-service Hindu temple located in Anamalai, approximately 11km from Pollachi town bus stand. The temple is known for its worship of several deities, including the stone of justice. Visitors can expect a powerful and rejuvenating experience while visiting this famous temple. It is recommended to visit on working days and to refrain from purchasing garlands or sarees as they will not be accepted by Amman.
Nice and calm place. Visit this temple on working days. Don't buy garlands, sarees to Amman. They won't accept anything from us. Just go and pray. Ample car park. Don't forget to drink tender coconut, very chill.

Apart from that the God is a powerful God as updated by my mother.. so no comments..

First of all don't trust Auto guys...They are costing 🔴 100₹ for 1km travel over surrounding area. Recommended to walk nearby bus stop and take local buses. No phone no material other than money is allowed inside. Full checkup will be done before entering. There is a common way that will lead you inside the temple in all four gates will take around 2 hrs to see all over the temple.
Note : If you know some big shots you can walk through the temple without any stops.
All the police inside the and outside the temple are working hard and friendly. Salute to all of them 👏👏.
I seen a tour guide for the temple at the ways of exit. I don't know why he is sitting at the exit point.🤭🤭
All the eatables selling inside will cost ₹20 each. Taste so 😊😊😊😊

We reached there around 9. Temple wasn't crowded. There are stands for removing slippers outside the gate but no attendants so, it's better to leave them on car or with any of the shopkeeper outside. There is parking inside, amidst what seemed like a coconut farm. They charge 50/-.
We bought tickets for golden Lotus Pooja which is for 100/- rs. That helped quicker darshan. In this one can write and submit their desires to the deity.
They also have chilli grinding (which we bought from shops outside). This is done to ward off any evil shadow/ curse, which we didn't know until the priest told us. There was some confusion inside. The ticket counter and the priests were not aligned on some things it seemed. The priest for chillo was a little rude.
They also serve sweet Pongal and tamarind rice inside which is for 20/- each and it was delicious. Must try

A temple to visit atleast once in a lifetime.
One unique aspect of this temple is the practice of writing wishes on paper or a piece of cloth and offering it to the deity. This act symbolizes a deep faith in the goddess's ability to fulfill desires and bring positive changes in the lives of devotees. The process involves pouring one's heart out onto the paper, expressing hopes, dreams, and aspirations before placing it at the temple as an offering.
This ritual of writing wishes and presenting them to the divine symbolizes the act of surrendering one's desires and seeking divine intervention to manifest them. It's a way for devotees to connect with the divine and believe in the power of faith.

The Arulmigu Masani Amman temple is about 60km south of Coimbatore city. It is unique in many respects including the fact that devotees especially women folks come here for praying to Amman for justice.
The ritual of crushing chilly on a grinding stone within in the temple is also unique.
The temple is beautiful, neat and gives a very positive experience.
Highly recommended.

Beware of street vendors they force you to buy products, also there is official temple parking near the temple which costs around 50 rupees dont go to vendors' parking where they force you to buy products which are also high in price .
The temple had clean restrooms and separate washrooms for bath and dressing.
The temple was well-maintained and had a positive energy.
The temple had 3 lines one is free, the second line costs 25 rupees, and the third line costs 100 rupees.

It is situated at the confluence of Aliyar River and the Uppar stream, nestled amid grasslands against the backdrop of mighty Anaimalai Hills. Temple and surrounding is neat and clean. There is no proper maintainance, as it was little crowded, we went near lord through the exit way, and no one asked for it. We can get a paper costing Rs. 10 (for 2 papers) in which we can write letter to god, and they're kept in hands of goddess 🙏. We get a divine feel in the temple 🙏. Reviewed on 15-01-2024.

Powerful Godess! Visiting after a decade, I see a lot of improvements.
Queue management was good. Ample covered space inside the premise to manage the crowd. For quick dharsan on a crowded day, go for 100 Rs ticket.
The biggest problem is the access road and car parking.

Temple destination for most people as it gives you a wholesome divine feeling where you can immerse yourself into the atmosphere of devotional but be more cautious when you enter the area as it is the people who run the stalls are literally holding your hands to do the writings for the prayers which we can do ourselves inside the temple as it is cost you a good fortune.

The Aliyar Dam is a picturesque waterway surrounded by mountains, gardens, and parks. Visitors can enjoy the beautiful Valparai hills view from the top of the dam while children can play in the park. The area is also popular for movie shootings and offers several hotels and tea shops nearby. Though entry fees are high, ample parking space is available. Weekend getaways are possible with bakeries located close to the dam.
A vast water body in the foothills of Valparai. Situated between mountains, this place looks extravagant and large. There is a long road on the banks of this place, you can have a long walk if you are fit enough. When you visit this place, you can remember seeing the place in many tamil movies.
They have a small park and play srea for kids. The surrounding area is full of trees and lots of eateries serving fish dishes.
From the base area to the top, there are steep steps which would feel little hard for older people. But the view on top is great and worth the climb. If lighting is good, this place can be a good place for photography. Also, the surrounding mountains creates a good scenery.
When you climb up towards Valparai, you can have a gold glimpse of the full dam area. From hairpin bend 7 to 15. Be cautious if you are driving though.
One thing to note is that the staff in ticket counter would try to con you. They will chsrge 20rs for 1 mobile phone but will not give the ticket. Please ensure that you ask and get it.

However, parking at this location can be challenging as it is situated on the 9th hairpin bend. Monkeys are also known to frequent the area, so visitors should be cautious with their belongings.

Very good road for a proper Bike Ride!
Seriously very good!
Loved it. The arrangements were all so perfect that would give you a 3 star hotel's feel.
The forest department has been doing a great work.
Only thing that they need to change/arrange is, about the vehicle for safari. Not all the tourist come with an SUV or a off-road drivable vehicle.
So either they need to inform the tourist in advance or they should arrange some vehicle that can be taken off road inside forest.

The guides only speak Tamil or Malayalam but are very knowledgeable and courteous.
The stay- it is well maintained, comfortable and the rooms are huge.
Food- There isn't a restaurant and it isn't A la carte but depending on your preference, they serve really tasty food in a buffet setting.
I am already planning my next trip!🙂

Rooms are clean, well maintained and hygienic. Food was homely. Scenic location. Monkeys around, so please stay safe. No network except bsnl, no wifi, we enjoyed the mobile free experience with no contact with outside world. Trek, safari with guide in our vehicle and bamboo rafting were all very nice. Nice place for a family stay!

Well maintained stay by forest department. The package includes everything like food, guide, trekking, safari. The rooms are clean. AC and hot water are available. The staffs are mostly local people, and their behavior is so nice. Buffet food is also of good standard.
I heard some random people complaining that the room is not a standard one or don't have a rich look. But please keep in mind that this is in the middle of the forest, and there are no other accomodations available. So, obviously there will be a lot of expense to maintain these limited number of rooms. So, please don't compare this with resort stays.

It was a very good experience to stay in Honey comb.
We were a group of 14 adults and 7 rooms provided. Kids and infants were also there.
Rooms are equipped with AC and Water heaters.
Cleanliness was enough in the aspects of a forest stay, but not to an extent of resort.
Powercuts are usual and they have power backup. But it will run only for 6hours. Please check whether they have enough diesel for whole night while you enter for stay. They cannot arrange at night as no petrol pumps nearby. Otherwise You may have to face powercut in the night. Please carry torch lights as a must.
Only BSNL has coverage in this area and it will not work during powercuts. Wifi is there park entry after that wifi is also not available.
So you will be your own , an experience most of us are missing nowadays.
Mostquitos and other insects were very less, nevertheless carry any repellents.
Place is safe to stay in terms of wildlife movement.
Food was good and safe, staffs also very helpful and they provided all the necessary help for infants like hot water. But again don't expect a resort kind of experience. They have all the shortcomings of a government run facility.
Safari was okeyish type as animal sighting is less compared to Bandipur.
Morning trekking was an excellent experience and we could sight elephants very close and the atmosphere was just awesome.
Boat safari is also really nice, but try to start the safari as early as possible.
Highly recommended if you have kids of growing and learning age. But carry all necessary things like medicines. Small tribal hospital is nearby but for small issues like fever and so on. Or they will shift you to Pollachi in an ambulance.
One more suggestion Tented Niche stay is also good, as they travel back from Parambikulam to anapady in late evening after safari. You have more chances of animal sighting.

9QRG+XQ2, Parambikulam Tiger Reserve,, Kerala 678661, India
Anaimalai Tiger Reserve is a nature reserve that houses an array of wildlife, including elephants and tigers. Visitors can enjoy animal encounters such as elephant rides and have the opportunity to spot these creatures both during the day and at night. The park offers off-road excursions and trekking spots with guidance from forest department officials who collect fees at various points. Additionally, Anaimalai is known for its coconut production, accounting for 75% of all coconuts in Pollachi.
Nice place to chill over the weekends. We can see elephants live feeding at the camp, other wild animals like bison, deer, bird varieties, monkeys(not the one's that we usually see), wild squirrels, wild elephants etc.
Try to be here early as possible, maybe around 6.30 so that you can see wild animals inside the reserve.

The Anamalai Tiger Reserve, more famously known as the Indira Gandhi Wildlife Sanctuary and National Park, located in the south of India is a unique reserve which has long since protected the endemic species of both plants and animals that reside here.
The reserve was officially declared a Tiger Reserve in the year 2007. It lies in the Western Ghats which is a well-known hotspot for biodiversity. This also means that the species found in the tiger reserve are truly endangered and often rare and in need of protection. A visit to Tamil Nadu will never be complete without visiting the Anamalai Tiger Reserve that has been the constant state's companion since its establishment in the year of 1848. The reserve’s unique location also makes it a gathering spot for many nature lovers and photographers that wish to witness the marvels of the reserve while also taking in the marvels of the landscape surrounding it. Another aspect that makes the reserve truly unique is the fact that it is also an anthropological reserve and hosts around six different tribal groups, one of which is endemic to the area. When visiting the reserve individuals are sure to witness at least a few things that would hold their interest and have them delving deeper into the reserve.

The drive from Anamalai to Parambikulam is filled with greenary and is quite peaceful and relaxing
By the mid-1800s, large tracts of Valparai plateau in the Anamalais were under intense tea or coffee plantations after deforestation of the natural forests. By 1866 two-thirds of the plantations were owned by Europeans and the remaining by Indians from coastal towns. Since most native inhabitants either refused to work or were inefficient workers, labour for plantations was brought from the plains of Tamil Nadu to clear forests and grow coffee.
Some parts of the forest however were reserved for timber including large areas around Top Slip. This part of the Western Ghats, under the Madras Presidency were exploited extensively for teak which was supplied to the Bombay Dockyard for shipbuilding and later for railroad ties.
In 1855, this area came under sustainable forest management for teak plantations by the pioneering efforts Douglas Hamilton and H. F. Cleghorn of the new Tamil Nadu Forest Department. In the early 1900s, protection of the Karian shola was also ensured.
The area was notified as Anaimalai Wildlife Sanctuary in 1974. of its unique habitats at 3 places – Karian Shola, Grass hills, Manjampatti Valley were notified as a National Park in 1989. The 108 square kilometres (42 sq mi) National Park is the core area of the 958 square kilometres (370 sq mi) Indira Gandhi Wildlife Sanctuary.IGWS was declared a Project Tiger tiger reserve in 2008.
The Park and the Sanctuary is under consideration by UNESCO as part of The Western Ghats World Heritage Site. The Sanctuary and the Palni Hills in Dindigul District form the Aanaimalai Conservation Area.[9]

ATR as known went with much expectations but nothing that justified it, was lucky to see spotted deer, a few elephants nothing else, Topslip or the Govt should take steps to make the safari a memorable one and not a damn boring thing, 236 Rs was charged per head but didn't feel worth it. All the time that one invests seems to be worthless at the end, before visiting make sure to choose the best time or else the visit will be totally worthless. Jungle Safari shouldn't be done for the sake of safari 😶.

It's nature lovers treasure. Can see lot of animals especially in night. If you are lucky you can spot in day time itself. Lot of places for off road and trekking spots bit which requires guidance. The forest Dept collects amounts in various points.

One of the famous tiger reserve in Tamil nadu with wide range of biomes.Famous for bengal tiger presence but we are not lucky enough to spot any animals that time. Some areas were dry deciduous forest which lacks greenery.Traveling through this area was a thrilling ride. After Udumalaipettai there will be a check post before the forest where you need to pay entry fees of Rs 30. One of the concerns which I noticed people were littering plastic waste along this ghat road which is unacceptable and disappointing.
Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary offers an exciting adventure trek, showcasing a vast range of fauna and flora. The narrow road that leads to the destination is suitable for day-time travel where tourists can enjoy the stunning view of Anamalai forest and spot exotic birds and animals. However, night drives are not recommended due to poor visibility caused by sudden fog, making it extremely risky to travel alone with family.
This was the first time we traveled this route. Luckily the weather is very favorable. Deer, peacocks and monkeys could be seen. The road was narrow but it's in very good condition so the journey was comfortable. The journey through the forest is always mind-blowing . You have to take relevant documents and pass for hustle free travelling. And please cross the border before 6 pm
Sandeep Balakrishnan — Google review
Chinnar wildlife sanctuary is nice place and home for many endangered species. On way to munnar, this place has may watch towers and view wildlife. One has to be careful while driving through this place. Make sure to carry required water and food. Summer is very difficult in this place. Forest department must create some water ponds inside the forest.
The Chinnar and Pambar rivers are the major perennial water resources in the sanctuary. The Chinnar originates near Kumarikal Malai, follows the interstate boundary along the northwest edge of the sanctuary for 18 km and becomes the Amaravati River in Tamil Nadu.
The Pambar River originates in the Anaimudi Hills and is joined by seasonal rivulets and a few perennial streams originating from sholas in the upper reaches. It traverses the Turner’s Valley in Eravikulam National Park and flows down into the sanctuary through the Taliar Valley between Kanthalloor and Marayoor villages and eastwards through the sanctuary. It joins the Chinnar River at Koottar. The Thoovanam water falls lie deep within the sanctuary on the Pambar River. This cascade is a major tourist attraction. The Chinnar, Pambar, Kabani and Bhavani are the only rivers of the 44 in Kerala that flow eastwards
Excellent by all means. And this is an unexplored tourist destination. The local people contribute their interest for the development of tourism. The Forest Department has appointed them as Guides, Cooks, Drivers, helpers etc through Eco Development Committees of Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary. The tourists can stay in the hut, tree top or log house near the flowing river. Still I feel there is a lack of communication skills. Please note that it will take its own time to overcome this forms of undulating nature.
Awesome ride in forest and forest gaurds are very friendly road is one way have safe ride then reach by check post before 6pm , for cars all documents are they will check in check post please carry
the experience was very good and the trek was very adventurous we had booked for 3 hours trek which costed us Rs 300 pp and we had got to spot peacocks, spotted deers, Indian Gaur, and bison. it was one of the memorable trek with moderate level of difficulty
We travelled from Palani to Munnar via Chinnar for a weekend. The roads are good and calm and the drive was easy. There are not many places where you could stop by but Karimuttam waterfalls is a relief. We did not check out Iravikulam National Park due to our time schedule though.
Worth walking to this place. Beautiful river with picturesque locations and the guides are well trained to lead a group to some natural happiness. Even though the place looks adventurous, we may not encounter much wild animals but the signals might frighten us which is thrilling. Youth especially would love to walk those trails with much enthusiasm. All the best

My trip through Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary was absolutely fantastic. Witnessing a herd of elephants in their natural habitat was a rare and remarkable sight. The trekking adventure provided an immersive experience that added to the overall charm of the visit. I highly recommend this sanctuary as a must-visit for anyone looking to create lasting memories while journeying through the jungle.

Went there in December for trekking. There were 2 treks available - waterfall trek and cultural trek. Took the cultural trek (it's actually better than waterfall) but still there not much 'culture' to see. Mostly the trek is through the deep jungle and 2 archeological sites are on the way that are not much impressive. Also the trek is somewhat mediocre level and might please those who have never experienced a trek before (like us :)) But still enjoyed the 3 viewpoints where we took some photos and rest during our 2hr trek. On the way you might encounter some wildlife if luck favours, usually it would be monkeys and elephants. You are allowed to take water and food with you but be careful not to litter.
Over the place is there to give you an experience but I may not recommend to put it on your 'must do' list.

Trust me one of the best thing to do is to rent a bicycle and go around the lake. You will get scenic views of the lake all around. Also you will find beautiful homes around the lake. But beware of the cars and bikes that also use this road. Else you can merrily wander around the lake road. It will span around 2 kms iirc. Allot around 1hour for this. You will also find shacks selling chocolates and sweaters. The chocolates are damn good for the price paid. Few shops also ship the chocolates to your place if you order through phone.

The moment I set eyes on its shimmering expanse, I knew it was going to be a highlight of my trip. My adventure began with a gentle paddle boat ride. The water was mirror-smooth, reflecting the cotton candy clouds above. Every stroke was rewarded with breathtaking views of the surrounding hills, painted in shades of emerald and sapphire. As I glided across the lake, the crisp mountain air invigorated my senses.
After my aquatic escapade, I explored the lakeside promenade. Lively stalls adorned with colorful trinkets tempted me with locally-made chocolates and handcrafted souvenirs.
For some quiet contemplation, I wandered along the walking path that skirts the lake. Towering eucalyptus trees formed a verdant canopy overhead, filtering the sunlight into dappled patterns. This peaceful haven was the perfect place to soak in the serenity of nature.

You can walk up and down with a beautiful view of the valley and mountains. Thers are small small shops inside for buying trinkets and other small small items. Definitely worth a try.

As the name suggests-
It's a good 1km walk one way
To see the good view of the valleys
Suggestive time to visit is at evening for sunset, if you are lucky enough you might even fet a view of the sunset
Fees : yes, 20 per head,
Parking difficult, suggests you to park you vehicle 500meters before the actual location, as it's located on the main road where buses are parked for their onward journey and you parking on the road, can lead to congestion
Washroom are available
Shopping area is also located within the walking zone

Very beautiful place with amazing views. It’s is a trail of 1km where you can have a walk and enjoy the view. If it’s misty and cloudy then View won’t be visible but if it’s a clear sky then you can enjoy the view. Only problem is no specific parking place we could found. Entry fees is INR 10/- per person. And 20/- for cameras.

" A walk along with clouds" is the best way to describe Coaker's Walk. Amazing, breathtaking, beautiful can be the few words which could describe this place. A well laid path to walk with a picturesque view of Kodaikanal valley ( if not under mist or foggy conditions) . Worth every penny for the entry ticket which is Rs 20/- per person (camera charges extra) . Lots of shops for eatables, jersey, sweaters, are well placed along the pathway.

Awesome place for kids. This kids park and boating area is located about 0.5 km from Bhoothathankettu dam. Entry fee is Rs. 50/- and extra for some other activities such as boating, kids cart etc, rain forest pool etc. The entire area is cleanly maintained and sufficient staff is available for assisting the visitors. All activities are organised in such a way that they are very safe for little ones. The park has a small cafeteria inside that serves soft drinks, snacks etc. Overall a very refreshingly nice place for kids and family to spend 2-3 hours. Highly recommended.

Seems to be a good place for kids. We visited on Dec 2023 and was not fully in operation. Lots of works were going on. Boating and other water activities were not there while we visited.

Jungle Park is located on the Kothamangalam-Idamalayar road side. It’s 600 metres away from the Bhoothathankettu Dam. It is a small park. Though the park is mainly meant for kids, there are some items for the elders to play with such as badminton. There are many battery operated cars, bikes and pedal cars also available for kids. There is an area earmarked for the exclusive use of these toys. There is a small swimming pool with fountain type water inlet. Another attraction for kids is the spiral slide with water sprinklers. There are ample seating also available. Pedal boats are also available.
Babu Vendrappilly — Google review
Good..Neat and clean, Lake side view park.
More riding activities are there in the park.
STEJI K C — Google review
A small park very well recommended for children especially btwn the age of 3 to 10. There parents also can feel free they have activities like pedal boating, kayaking, water rollers etc. The park is very calm and cool, me and my family entered the park during a visit to bhoodathankettu, though it was a very sunny day after entering the park u feel refreshed even at hot midday.
Pros
Staff are friendly
Climate inside park is very cool
Water is very clean and cold
Less crowded (Saturday noon around 12 to 1 PM)
On road side, really a pitstop point to get refreshed.
Toilet very neat and tidy
Cons
You have to pay additional fees other than the entry fee of Rs: 50/-, for other activities inside the park which feels a bit unethical (trampoline, adventure activities).
The available restaurant is shaving only lite snacks no meals or heavy food available nowadays (maybe bcoz of less crowd due to corona).
Adventure activities are not well maintained ,not sure if they can be utilised. Like obstacle run, horizontal bridge, etc.
If that too get a proper maintenance the park will be a destination for all age of people.
Conclusion
A destination which can be considered as a pitstop for those how are going to bhoodathankettu.

Liked it here.. good place to take your kids out. I went with my parents and my niece. She really enjoyed it here.. There are multiple small rides for kids, Dora room , darts, hill climbing, 2 wheel scooter for kids, basketball, badminton racquet ( not in good shape though).. Park is beside periyar river and it looks beautiful. Overall a good place to spend time with kids and family . Jungle park is a nice addition to bhuthathankettu.

A small park located on the way to bhoothathankettu. Specifically for small kids there are plenty of materials for kids to play such as swings, small cars, other activities etc.
The park is just close to the river and we can see the beautiful view from the park and some chairs are also available to sit and spend evening with kids.
The park not crowded most of the times.
No dedicated Parking space available but still there is lots of parking space available outside close to the road.

A small park to have enjoyable with your kids and family. You have to pay additional fees other than the entry fee of 50 Rs., for paddle boating and small adventures.
The Jungle park is not crowded, it offers you unlimited fun and thrill with Tree adventure rides, Go-carts, Caves, Trampolines, swings, slides, a pool, rain forest, Bamboo rafts, Kayaking, Kottavanchi, paddle boating, fishing, kids play zone, fun games, treehouse, restaurant, and Ice cream parlor, etc. But the activities are not well maintained. Some of the rides are not working.

The Kodaikanal Pine Forest is a popular tourist attraction in the town that is known for its dramatic tall pines, popular for horse-riding, walking, and photography. The forest was cultivated in 1906 and is maintained by the forest department.
What an amazing place it is. Be it during winters or summers you are going to enjoy the beauty of this place. Such big tall pine trees are just amazing. Good spot for pictures and videos. Many film shootings are also done here. No entry fees for this place. Half an hour can be spent easily. This is surrounded by many food stalls but be aware as you are always watched by the monkeys 😁
One of the must visit places in Kodaikanal.

Very good visit. 10 rupees per person ticket and extra for DSLR camera. Not recommended to spend time more than an hour because there are many places nearby.

The Pine Forest in Kodaikanal is a serene and picturesque tourist spot located in the southwest of the city. It is renowned for its tranquil atmosphere and the towering pine trees that were planted back in 1906 by Mr. Bryant to grow timber. Today, it stands as a preserved heritage site, offering visitors a chance to immerse themselves in nature's beauty.
The forest is not only a place for scenic views but also an ideal spot for activities like horse riding, nature walks, and photography. It's a perfect retreat for those looking to unwind amidst the lush greenery. The Pine Forest is divided into two areas, with Pine Forest-1 being more crowded and Pine Forest-2 offering a quieter experience. There's no entry fee, and the forest is open from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, making it accessible for a day of exploration.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the beautiful kodaikanal pine forest, and it was truly an enchanting experience.
The towering pine trees reached for the sky, their branches creating a natural canopy that filtered the sunlight, casting a dappled pattern on the forest floor. The play of light and shadow added to the forest's mystique.

It's an amazing experience. Beautifully maintained pine forest you can enjoy photography with a backdrop of huge & tall pine trees.
Don't go for horse riding here they charge ₹ 200 /- Just for 5min before you realize your ride is over. They will not even wait for a moment to click the photo. People have to run behind horses to take video.
There is no. time limit for how much time you can spend here so can just relax.
To reach this point be ready for traffic and spend 30-45min in it. if lucky you will get a roadside parking space near the forest or can park at a distance and walk.

The place is so beautiful, covered by tall pine trees all around. Best for photography and enjoying with friends and family.
You can also enjoy horse riding here but it's a bit costly.
You can collect some good pine fallen from the trees. The place is a bit crowded on public holidays, so if you are planning to go, try going on weekends.
I visited in March, but I can imagine how this place looks during winter all covered in dense mist. No wonder they shoot horror movies here 😜🤪.
The best time to visit is winter,
Try wearing Red or Yellow here to get your best pictures 😅, as these colours will pop.
Note: Do not carry food along, as there are many monkeys at the place, and they can be very clumsy and try to steal the food.

Pillar Rocks Viewpoint is a popular cliffside destination offering sweeping views of the mountains and unique pillar-shaped rocks. The hike to the top of these boulders is a challenging but rewarding four-hour trek. The mini garden at this place makes it a good picnic spot.
Mesmerizing view point. Just ignore everything and enjoy seeing the clouds touch the mountain like feathers. It's simply awesome. And we can even take small walk there. It's a great place for taking some pics and spend some time with friends and family. When we went there the rocks were totally covered by the mist and hard to wait for almost 20 mins to see them. Towering pillars that pierce the sky, mystical crevices whispering secrets, and breathtaking panoramas that steal your breath - yes, I'm talking about the Pillar Rocks of Kodaikanal. Having just returned from a trip there, I couldn't resist sharing my experience with you all.
The moment you arrive, you're awestruck by these three colossal granite giants, standing shoulder-to-shoulder, reaching a dizzying 400 feet. They exude an ancient, almost sacred aura, like a forgotten temple guarding the valley below. Exploring the narrow pathways between them feels like journeying through a natural cathedral, sunlight filtering through cracks, casting dramatic shadows. The crowning jewel of the experience is the panoramic view. From the vantage point atop the rocks, the entire valley unfolds like a painted canvas. Rolling hills covered in emerald pines, shimmering lakes reflecting the sky, and quaint villages nestled amongst the mist - it's a visual symphony that leaves you speechless.
The chamber formed between two of the rocks, aptly named "Devil's Kitchen," adds a touch of mystery. Locals whisper tales of hidden caves and mythical creatures, fueling your imagination while you explore its dark, cool depths. The climb up the rocks, though not strenuous, is enough to invigorate your senses. The crisp mountain air fills your lungs, washing away city dust and worries. The chirping of birds and the rustling of leaves become your soundtrack, a welcome contrast to the urban cacophony. Overall, the Pillar Rocks are a must-visit for anyone seeking a piece of Kodaikanal's magic. It's a testament to nature's artistry, a playground for adventurers, and a sanctuary for souls seeking peace.

it's a popular spot if you are in Munnar area to visit. it is a protected area. We have to take the national park bus from the foot hills to get to the park.
The main attraction is the Nilgiri Thar which is very similar to Goat and is a species near extinction.
The ride to the hills is amazing, you go through the tea gardens and then transition to forest area. There is a waterfall as well on the way.
Lot of opportunities to get great photo.

Visiting this place was an absolutely wonderful experience. The view was nothing short of mesmerizing, with lush green hills stretching as far as the eye could see. Particularly during the rainy season, the sight of clouds intermingling with gentle rays of sunlight created a captivating panorama that one simply cannot afford to miss.
To reach the top, we had the option of availing the national park vehicle, which required a fee of 200 per person. This vehicle conveniently dropped us off at the designated point, from where we embarked on a scenic walk towards the summit. The walking path was well-maintained, ensuring a pleasant journey. Additionally, for those seeking a more convenient option, an e-vehicle service was available. However, it's worth noting that opting for the e-vehicle would incur additional charges.
In conclusion, the experience of visiting this place was truly memorable. The breathtaking view of the hills and surrounding greenery, particularly during the rainy season, was awe-inspiring. While the journey to the top involved either a picturesque walk or an optional e-vehicle ride at an extra cost, the overall experience was well worth it. I highly recommend making a visit to this remarkable destination.

Worth to visit and good place for kids. We enjoyed the bus ride and the trekking. We could see how the weather is changing once trekked to top. Enjoyed!

A must visit place for nature enthusiastic peeps...They would charge 200 per head for the bus ride to the foot of the hills and we need to climb from there...The roads are tarred enough and local people also use this road...There in an option for buggy car which will take beyond the bus point till the top of the hills...Climate is moderate but getting hotter now a days...They have a hygienic canteen and a virtual reality studio of the park at the entrance area..Safer for children's also but not advisable for people with heart issues as you need to climb the hills...

1. Book online but even after booking online you have to stand in another queue to collect a hard copy. Defeats the purpose of online booking.
2. Lot of parking space but still gets full.
3. Come early. Better reach by 8.
4. Tea, light snacks available.
5. Toilet available.
6. A van will take you inside.
7. 1 km hike. Very easy.
8. Great view. Be patient. You will see the Nilgiri Tahr.

Don't expect to see wildlife. You may spot some mountain goats if you're lucky. That said, you'll get the best views in all of Munnar from here. The facilities are well maintained. Do book tickets online to avoid long queue.
A really good spot to slowly hike up the path and spend some quality time with panoramic views.

This is a must visit place in Munnar to get a breathtaking view. Weekdays are less crowded. Ticket price is 200 per person and they will take to the top point by bus. Ride is through tea plantations and there are small waterfalls in between. Once you reach the top, we can walk 1km up the hill to reach the end point. There's a snacks shop and a cafe on top for refreshment

The vistas and views are wonderful, but otherwise not very much to do. Everything can be done within about an hour, including the bus ride up and walk to the top of the mountain. A little pricey for for nationals. The private tour is likely better, but it costs quite a bit. There are some great waterfalls. Not much beyond the views. Not great for young kids. Excellent for photographers and nature lovers.

Very scenic place, it's a popular spot if you are in Munnar area to visit. it is a protected area.

Such a calm and serene place to visit, you have to park the vehicle at their parking area which is free of cost, have to pay for entry tickets and wait for their bus. They will take us on a bus to the top, from there you walk up the limit or pay for a golf cart which takes us to and fro. No food items are allowed, they will search our bags, there are small cafeteria nearby and a Soveuneir shop, where u can buy things. After enjoying the nature you can get down and wait for the bus.
N. B: Ticket counters are quite busy during peak time of season

It's a well-maintained national park for the rare wild goat species called 'varayadu.' The journey takes you through the tea plantations, offering great views of the mountains and the valley, as well as the tea plantations. Buses are available for pick-up and drop-off in the middle of the park, and from there, you can walk to reach the peak or the end of the park. Tickets can be booked online. You can see Tahrs roaming around without causing any harm. It's a beautiful place to take pictures and enjoy a happy day here. 🌄💓

We booked entrance tickets online , so the visit was smooth, no waiting in the line. There are frequent shuttles that take us to the reserved national park area from the entrance. The view is the most amazing part of the location - most picturesque view of munnar tea plantations and forest.
The Nilgiri tahr were there but no other wilderness was visible, due to the loud crowd and limited area access, making it almost zoo-like, and animals afraid to come out near the pedestrian paths.

Berijam Lake is a 59-acre body of water surrounded by verdant forests, and features a quaint guesthouse as well as a Hindu temple. Visitors need to obtain a forest department pass in order to drive to the lake, with checks conducted near Moir point. Given the road conditions, it's recommended to take the Forest dept bus instead, which provides stunning views of the lush green forest area en route.
One of the best place visit in kodaikanal. I have visited last weekend with my friend. Don't miss the place.
From moir point to Berijam lake 13km approximately 40min travel time. Two wheeler not allowed.
Only car and van allowed. We need to get the pass from kodaikanal forest department police station. Near to kodaikanal busstand. Tuesday car and van not allowed. Because that day leave. Only forest van only allowed.
Car-200 van-250 for pass
If you don't have car or van. No issue. From moir point forest department arranging van, per head 200. We can see silent valley View, Caps fly view, berijam lake view, mathikettan solai view, berijam lake. Totally five places we can see. It's absolutely a reserved forest. We can feel the nature and breath the good air.
Beacause mathikettan solai is one of the deep forest. And take food and water while travelling. Don't take plastic items.
If you are travelling with family means don't stop the car and while. Because it's deep forest. Any time wild animals will come.

The lake is preserved by the Kodaikanal Forest Department. Lush greenery around the lake is a treat to the eyes. I loved the raw and rustic nature of the wildlife which is protected by the forest department. Before you plan a visit to Berijam lake, make sure you read and follow below information:
1. The way to Berijam Lake starts from Right Hand Side of Moir’s point.
2. You won’t be allowed to enter the forest area leading to Berijam Lake without permission from forest Department.
3. To obtain permission, you need to visit the District Forest Office, Kodaikanal in Laws Ghat Road on the day you are planning to visit the lake. Permits are available only on the same day you shall visit the lake. No prior day permits are issued.
3.a Cost - Rs.200 for Car and Rs.300 for Van
3.b Timings to collect the permits - 08:30 AM - 09:30 AM.
3.c Take any Govt. issued ID proof -DL/Aadhaar Card etc. Digital proof is also accepted. On the gate, it asks DL, RC, PUC, vehicle insurance but not mandatory.
3.d 50 vehicles allowed per day. DFO can issue more permits at their disposal.
4. Tuesdays are closed for maintenance activities in the forest areas.
5. No two wheelers allowed.
6. Places you shall visit on the way to Berijam Lake (which is the last stop):
6.a Silent Valley
6.b Berijam Lake View
6.c Caps Valley
6.d Mathikettan Shola View
6.e Berijam Lake
7. Beware of monkeys. More the people they see, the more they will come searching for food.
8. Trip distance to Berijam Lake from Moir’s point - 26 KM
9. Enter the Check Post at Moir’s Point before 11:30 AM post which you won’t be allowed. Don’t lose the permit. It is asked at the check post after you return back.
9. Smoking/Alcohol is not allowed inside the reserved forest.
10. Enjoy the beautiful views along the way. Avoid littering the natural beauty.
Top Station is a must-see destination, offering breathtaking views when the weather is clear. However, visibility may be limited on cloudy days. It's important to arrange for a guide before entering the tea plantations as they are privately owned.

The dam looks like a beautiful lake.
You can enjoy a 15-minute long motor-boat ride in the lake, or just shoot memorable pics along its banks.
I first visited this lake in 2005. Now in June 2023, I feel that the water was more pristine in 2005 than what it is now.
Maybe something has changed, or maybe it was a different season when I visited for the first time. I don't remember the exact date of the first visit.
But anyway, it is still a good place to go.

Title: Scenic Beauty and Serenity at Mattupetty Dam!
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Review:
My visit to Mattupetty Dam in Munnar was a delightful experience that left me mesmerized by its scenic beauty and tranquil surroundings. I would rate it four stars for its natural charm and the serenity it offers.
Mattupetty Dam is located amidst the picturesque landscapes of Munnar, offering stunning views of the surrounding hills and the vast reservoir. The sight of the clear blue waters against the backdrop of lush greenery is truly captivating. It's a perfect spot for nature lovers and photography enthusiasts to capture the beauty of Munnar.
The dam itself is well-maintained and offers a pleasant walk along its length. Walking along the dam and feeling the gentle breeze on my face was a refreshing experience. The peaceful ambiance and the sound of the water flowing added to the overall serenity of the place.
Boating on the reservoir is a popular activity at Mattupetty Dam. I took a boat ride and enjoyed the peaceful cruise, taking in the panoramic views of the surrounding hills. It's a great way to get closer to nature and appreciate the vastness of the reservoir. However, I would suggest checking the availability of boating in advance, as it can get crowded during peak tourist seasons.
There are also some scenic trails and viewpoints near the dam, offering panoramic vistas of the tea gardens and mountains. Exploring these trails and enjoying the breathtaking views was a highlight of my visit. It's a paradise for nature enthusiasts and hikers.
One aspect that could be improved is the availability of facilities and amenities. There are limited food and refreshment options near the dam, so it's advisable to carry water and snacks. Additionally, the restroom facilities could be better maintained.
Overall, Mattupetty Dam is a beautiful destination that showcases the natural splendor of Munnar. Its scenic beauty, peaceful ambiance, and opportunities for boating and hiking make it a worthwhile visit. While some improvements in facilities would enhance the experience, it remains a must-visit spot for those seeking tranquility and stunning views in Munnar. I would highly recommend a visit, and I rate it four stars for its natural charm and serene atmosphere.

This is just an amazing view to see with our eyes.
First of all we don't even have to buy any tickets for seeing this amazing dam, the road is over the dam, while travelling you can see both side , One side is the dam gate and the other is just an amazing valley ( lake surrounded by mountains).
While day time, the water is just amazing to see, the lights are reflected so nicely and the area is just amazing.
I would recommend you to park your vehicle nearby and walk over the road to get the best experience, they do have a boat service.
Once you cross the road, you can get a small path which leads to an amazing near-view of the dam gate which is mostly open all the time. But you should be careful while walking through there as the area may be slippery. Apparently there is a stair to below , unfortunately for our safety it's not open for visitors.
I would recommend you to go here while visiting Munnar.
This dam is located in between the way you go to the eco point.
Thank You.

The Tea Museum is a small but informative museum that showcases the history and production of tea through old machinery, photographs, and demonstrations. Visitors should not miss the 30-minute documentary about the region's tea plantations, which is shown in a room with a projector. The factory visit is also important to learn about how CTC tea is made, with staff on hand to explain everything.
How this does not have more higher rating I don't no. This place is educational, shows you the history, there is a video showing theatre style, then a tour around the factory you can taste touch and smell the tea in different stages of production. Afterwards you can taste all the teas they sell before buying

It was a good place but maybe only for tea lovers.

Ample parking facility available and minimal entry charges .

For those who don't know anything about the tea plant or tea making process, this place would be a great place of knowledge. They portrayed many items which have some historic value. They will show the function of machinery i.e., the process of making tea and playing a documentary which is based on the lifestyle of tea planters.
All is ok, but the entry fee is too high. At this price, the museum should be more organised and the guided tour should be more catching and exciting. Guides are mainly trying to convince you to buy tea packets from an outlet which is inside the museum. Even at the documentary show, if you are going late, then you might not get any chair to sit on. The items also need maintenance.

A simple tea museum in Munnar showing the history to tea cultivation in the location. Many artifacts of tea cultivation is preserved and well maintained. A documentary on the history of tea cultivation in Munnar is shown. Later , avery short tour on the manufacturing of tea piwder using CTC method is demonstrated. No tea tasting is present , however one can buy few cups of tea from the counter , and also tea packets from the shop present inside.
Entry ticket is ₹125 per adult.

Great place! They explain in detail about the whole tea making process. It's really fun to see the machines. We also bought a few teas from them and they taste amazing.
It was nice to see how something we use in our daily routines is made. Developed a new appreciation for tea.
They also show you how each machine works, and what is the end product obtained after each processing step.
The parking is free. There is sufficient space.
The entry fee is Rs.125 per person. They charge Rs.120 separately for tea tasting

Don't miss the documentary to understand the history of tea plantations in this region. Around 30 mins movie. The movie is shown in a room with projector. Around 40 people can be seated. This may require some waiting for the next show to begin.
Museum is very small... Just 3 rooms.
The factory visit is very important to know how the CTC tea is made. Staff will explain everything.
There is a shop to buy gifts, magnets, different varieties of tea, spices, fruit reserve etc etc. Small cafe also provides tea.
The was a tea tasting option for additional 120₹ but unfortunately it was unavailable on the day I went.
Enough parking space is available.

Museum is divided into old exhibition and the production part. The exhibition should be renovated because the objects thus interesting could be much better presented. Part of the exhibition is a cinema hall which I’ve missed cause of lack of time. The production part is a real highlight here - staff is presenting how do they process picked tea leaves. Astonishing views all around the place.

Just a waste of money. All they show is a movie about how Britishers started tea plantations blah blah and they charge you 125 per person. Not at all worth going inside, but I must say the view outside the tea museum is amazing which is obviously free of cost. So instead of wasting money inside use your valuable money and time outside enjoying the view

Good place to go with your kids and family. In this museum you can know about some historical events and history behind this tea factory.
The ticket is 120 per person and you need to pay an extra 20 for the camera.
Their live explanation of how the tea leaf has been processed was quite good.
You can buy any flavours of tea here. Masala tea and ice tea black are recommended.

The entry ticket is 125 rupees per adult. Inside you can see some history photos and tea powder preparation from leaves stage to powder stage. They will show you a documentary which tells about the history of tea which can be skipped. There is a tea counter which had many varieties of tea, the taste is average. The outlet sells different tea powders, chocolates, spices etc. This place can be skipped if you don't want to purchase tea powder. Time and money can be saved by skipping this museum. Outside the museum there is a tea plantation available.

I found the museum’s exhibits to be somewhat lacking in terms of interactivity and engagement. While the information provided was educational, the presentation could have been more captivating. I would have appreciated more interactive displays or multimedia elements to enhance the overall experience.
Another aspect that could be improved upon is the organization of the museum. The flow of the exhibits felt a bit disjointed, and it was sometimes challenging to follow the chronological order of the tea-making process. A clearer layout or guided tour could have helped visitors better navigate and understand the exhibits.

Tea museum is a nice spot to understand the history of Munnar & evolution of tea plantations & all. A short movie is showing regarding this. Museum have lot of antique collections. We can see the processing of tea unit & well explained by the staffs. We can shop different varieties of tea from here. Car parking available. Washrooms available. Enter with tickets.

For those who do not know how tea is prepared, it is the perfect place. You are first directed to a video show which gives details of history of TATAs. No details of tea manufacturing were shown. Only the corporate presentation about the company was boring. You can skip it comfortably. It is better to go directly to the live demonstration of running machinery of tea manufacturing. It was too crowded when we visited. The upstairs lecture is also good. Then you are directed to the tea shop and tea testing area.

Tata company has more than 4 tea processing units in Munnar, helping the needy and giving us many flavours of tea like ripple tea, flavoured tea, green and white tea...
It has a tea museum to give us the knowledge of tea factory initiative

The museum is pretty basic and we were rushed through each step. In my opinion 125/head entry fee is little bit high. They show a 30min documentary which was okay and the tea making process which was interesting. Since there isn’t much to do in Munnar, you could spend some time here. They also have a wide range of teas that you can shop from at a decent price.
anoop vijayan — Google review
The museum is small, but OK. There is also a 30 minute video that's not bad. Then there's the tour of the factory, where tea processing is explained. That's nice. It ends with a big tea shop. If you've always wondered about tea processing and types, this is your chance.

Lovely place to learn about tea harvesting and converting to the beverage we all
Like . When you see the process one won’t drink tea bag tea anymore as that is the lowest quality of tea . Amazing views around the museum and tea factory. Bought some whole leaf tea and blended tea with spices like cardamom

Tea lovers and the tea making curiosity folks would love this place. Visit takes about 45mins (including 30mins history show). Plenty of parking and toilets located outside of the museum. Souvenirs, spices, various tea flavors available for sale at the end of the tour.

The team museum is a good place to spend not more than 30-45 mins. There is ample parking space and there are chargeable entry and parking tickets.
They have a show on how tea is made for about an hour and then a factory visit to show how tea is made from tea plants in real life.
Apart from that, there is nothing really there to explore in the museum.
P.S. You can buy tea packets from the museum after the factory visit.

Good place to understand how tea leaves are yielded, and the process from drying of the leaves till making the tea powder. The guide there explains in 3 different languages (English, Hindi and Malayalam). One can shop for tea powders, chocolates, safron, spices etc. Entry ticket is Rs.125 per person which I think is high. For tea taste learning, they charge Rs.120 separately. There's free parking available at this tea museum.

Roadside viewing point overlooking hillside tea gardens & forest, with mountains in the distance.
The view around the tree estate was magnificent. There was greenery all round. Against the backdrop of densely wooded hills, a sea of tea bushes stretched as far as the eye could see. Best time to visit is early morning 😍

Good to see a small shop selling Tea, bread omlette, maggi, tender coconut, 3tc etc at this place..
The road construction has currently hindered the beauty of the Gap road.
But once over this place would return to its former glory.
The small cave in the rocky slope is kept intact amidst the road work..

An exotic location with lush green all around. A perfect place to click some amazing photographs and videos. You will see a lot of shops around to get some cool stuffs like beanies, coolers, some munching options, etc. There are a handful of photographers too available, who give you a small size photo for INR.50 and large size ones for INR.100 with all accessories.
Lot of traffic jam in that place and if you travel during peak season, you will find it tough to find a spot to park your vehicle.

This waterfall is located on Cochin - Munnar highway and approx. 40km before Munnar. We visited during December and as expected the water levels were not that heavy but surely you will enjoy time by getting your selfies clicked and also enjoying yummy and tatay road side food sold by vendors. This place will get crowded during holiday seasons and when during high water flow.
People are not allowed to play near waterfalls due to saftey reasons. You can spend time for approx. 15-30 mns depending on your interest.

We spent several very interesting hours watching the process to give everyone their cup of tea!
Firstly there is a film which gives the background history. The set up which is a village of workers and includes hospital, Nursery, school and housing. A job for life !
The tea gardens are all around, miles and miles of small hills covered in tea. It is a very skilful job knowing which leaf to take.
We went around the factory seeing the processes involved. The staff showing us fiercely proud.
At the end we had a cup of tea of course and just like theme parks the obligatory shop on the way out!

Munnar's tea gardens are a world by themselves. One can see the rolling tea gardens on the verdant hillsides of Munnar for miles and miles...
There are visits arranged by the local gardens for visitors and also tea tasting and sampling
One can purchase tea leaves at reasonable prices...
The local guides will arrange these visits and also a tour around Munnar so that one can have a close-up as well distant and bird's-eye views from distant hilltops
A visit to Munnar only for a tour of the tea gardens is worth a decade or more of memories...
Apart from the tea gardens Munnar also has several other delightful attractions that I've chronicled elsewhere...
