The top stops along the way from Kampot to Ao Nang (with short detours) are Wat Phra Chetuphon Wimon Mangkhalaram Rajwaramahawihan, BTS Skytrain, and Walking St. Other popular stops include The Grand Palace, Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, and Otres Beach.
Otres Beach is a stunning stretch of white sand adorned with tamarisk and casuarina trees, making it a popular destination for first-time visitors to Sihanoukville. This three-kilometer crescent of white sand offers a more relaxed vibe, especially at the far end where it's less touristed.
Very nice place for now and special price hotel 2022

Best after 5pm due to paralyzing heat. Since roads, wide sidewalks, and free public toilets n showers installed, it's been drawing in the local crowd n vendors. Looking up!

Otres beach lose the charm and authenticity of its original because of the heavily of chinese investment in this area and overall sihanoukville.
This beach used to be very nice and calm but not anymore.
There are some hotels around this area.
Nguon Sominea — Google review
Not much here was my opinion, the large road and paved area next to the beach make the area look barren. Opposite large areas of derelict buildings or half built structures add nothing to it's charm. To be honest, avoid Sinoukville completely.
Mark Honeyman — Google review
The beach is stunning, but there is some litter and food waste along the pathway. Motorcyclists using the walkway should exercise caution
Chanchai Kasemsukprakarn — Google review
Nice place to catch the golden hour.
It can be crowded at some spots but you can choose where you want to sit down.
Nearby a lot of guest houses/hotels and it has a lot of food vendor where you can enjoy local food and drinks.
Joanna Marie Reg — Google review
The waters were clean and very warm, but the beach had a lot of garbage... as well as the whole area actually which is a construction place of Chinese mega resorts. Although I must admit, one can catch a pretty impressive sunset from Otres beach, there is really nothing else interesting to do or to see here. In my opinion, unless you are catching a plane/ferry and you have to spend a night in Sihanoukville, you may skip the area entirely.

Pretty beach and good sand but unfortunately the Chinese are destroying the area with their high rise buildings making the Cambodian coastline a place for the lower income Chinese tourists to spend their holidays
Bart Verdoorn — Google review
It's my most favorite beach in Sihanoukville. It's nice and chill. Well, personally not very nice compared to before the massive construction (better than a few months ago and years before).
Otres is a long beach, a nice location close to many guesthouse and hotels around.
NIN Kongnav — Google review
I visited here on 24 - 25 Jan 2023, it has changed a lot since my last visit back in 2019.
There were no more kois, on the beach and it serves the public. You may enjoy family activities here (BBQ, Sunbathing, Swimming, Jogging or Relaxed).
You may bring your staff here if you preferred or you may rent from local vendors. Food is limited but there were a few options that you can order from local vendors at the beach.
There were a few landmarks created (#សិលាបដ្ដបណ្ដាសា #ដើមឈើស្នេហ៍ #សិលាចាំស្នេហ៍)។
I look forward to the next BBQ and relaxed by the beach trip soon.

If you want a bit quite and relaxing, a good sunset view go in a bit far side of otres.you no need to worry if you get hungry so many food stall just around the area.

Lovely quiet beach . Boat trips are available to the islands. The odd jet ski for hire. Otres 2 doesn't have many restaurants but lots of street food .
brian wensley — Google review
The beach are clean with white sand and free of charge for everyone. There are food stall and foods seller walking (but they are not selling main dish) along the beach to sell grilled squids, octopus, papaya salad, fried meat ball and so on. It would be nice if you could bring ur own picnic mat, some foods and drinks. You could enjoy seeing sunset almost everyday beside raining day.

Otres will never be as it was , last time we were there 2015 it was nice bungalows, small bars, B&B nice and calm atmosfere. And then came the Chinese and distroyed everething, big hotels, casino😝, why, yes coruption😝, so, no more bagpacking in Sihanoukville and Otres

Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Chanthaburi
The Cathedral of Immaculate Conception in Chanthaburi province is a gothic-style Catholic church founded in 1909. It is a popular tourist attraction and serves as the symbol of the city due to its two towers and statue of Virgin Mary near the main entrance. While visitors cannot currently enter, they can admire the elegant stained glass windows from outside. The nearby old town Chantabun community across the river is also worth exploring.
Nice to see a great cathedral for Catholic believers, there are actually a lot of catholic churches in the area but this cathedral is not to be missed. beautiful architecture and clean , too.
There are shops surrounding the cathedral, cheap souvenirs and a few steps away from the historical river, with vintage shops in it.
The cathedral is only open during scheduled mass so make sure to check their schedule before visiting.
Nostalgic and surreal for me. Visit it soon!

This Cathedral is very very beautiful. It's Gothic style and look like France and Italy mix it together.
Mary of Immaculate conception in front of the Cathedral . The staff is very nice and warm welcome to visitor. Roses are available inside depending on your donation.
This is the one in the world to use more than 10,000 Gem to make Mama Mary.
---Yes , to take a photos with Mama Mary outside

The French colonists brought Catholicism to Thailand. A typical French style Cathederal remains. Was not open during visit. New buildings, a school and shrine are located next to it.

One of the most tourist attraction and UNSEEN in Chantaburi province.
With its two towers of classic Gothic style, it became the symbol of the city where a statue of the Virgin Mary stands a few meters in front of the main entrance of the building. Today they close for visiting inside the classy and shady stained glasses dispict various saints, but you can walk around outside. Across the river is an old town Chantabun community. If you plan to travel in Chantaburi, don't miss it.

Picturesque cathedral that is well maintained. Note that women must dress conservatively to be able to enter the cathedral. There is no charge to tour the structure or grounds but parking costs 20 Baht.
Deborah Long — Google review
Visited the church, but my mum was denied entry for wearing shorts.
Just as the woman/bouncer was explaining this to us, another woman walked out wearing the exact same length shorts as my mum.
I pointed this out to her, and she just shrugged her shoulders and said we couldn't come in.
Very strange behaviour considering churches are supposed to be welcoming to all people.
Terrible attitude and behaviour from the staff there.

A must visit, and ifbyou have time better to walk to the old town just across the river.

The Cathedral with more than 300 years of existence, with many imprints with local people. In the campus around the church, there is a kindergarten, a funeral home...
Dang Anh Khoi — Google review
This Cathedral has been here for more than 300 years! Making it one of the oldest and biggest in Thailand. The highlight of the Church is the 200,000 gem stone decorated holy Mary. When entry, the security guard will make sure that you are dress appropriately. For example, women must wear dress or pants that is longer than the knees, no hats and flippers is ok. Outside the church you can cross the bridge to enjoy the local streets market

If you’re a Catholic, I highly recommend to see this historic cathedral. This is always my purpose of coming back to Chantaburi

During the Holy Week, I visited this cathedral and was struck by its beauty, as well as the warmth of the people there. Even though I'm not a Christian, I could appreciate the holy atmosphere of the place. The interior design is impressive and exudes a sense of reverence.
One of the most memorable moments was when the people there generously gave out free eggs, which was a touching gesture. I was also impressed by the welcoming nature of the church people who made me feel included despite not being part of their faith. Overall, it was a wonderful experience that left a lasting impression on me.

Definitely worth stopping ! Beautiful cathedral. As the time I was here I couldn’t access in because of a ceremony. I save it for next time then!
Near the cathedral you can walk along the river it’s really beautiful, and authentic. Away from touristic area.

This cathedral was claimed to be the most beautiful in Thailand and we are quite agree. The day we visit has not much visitors despite the long holidays. They are now managed that visitors has to queue in the small group and they show short video showing the history of the place , after that , visitors can walk around and they requested that visitors should not take improper selfie.

I would like to name this temple as Cathedral of Chanthaburi, but it is probable or not, I am not sure. I cannot say that it is Baroque or Gothic. The only that I can is"It is very impressed."
The temple is one of the remarkable place that you should visit. It is almost situated in the center of Tha mai district of Chanthaburi.
The Cathedral was constructed about hundred yeras ago together with a number of times of repairing.
The identities of design, material chosing, colouring and surrounding atmosphere are emphasized to the warmth and loving kind to all humanity of the holy lord, Jesus.
After passing through some what like residential area of the surrounding local people, you will get through a wide yard infront of the soft-grey temple whose three top tips carrying three christain Cross on its heights.
Further more, interior decoration is full of a plenty of selected coloured mosaic glasses on its windows and walls.
Outside the temple area, it connects to folkway style of local people market. You may find morning or evening food market and good dessert there.
Please try.

Super nice waterfall. You can take a kayak or SUP from the sea and paddle about 1 km up and walk to the waterfall. It is a small sign on the right side then u have to walk through some water. When u come out on the road take left and walk up the hill and u will see the entrance.

When beach is rough, this place is good to visit. Can come closer to waterfall. It's already chilly while October. Not warm deep inside forest. Swim wear will be recommendable if you wanna dive in.

Just about 20 minutes riding motorbike & 10 minutes trekking. The trekking trail is easy for children & old people too, no need to climb. The water is cool & beautiful; but should visit on a sunny days & avoid rainny days since the surrounding areas are kinda quite.
Leo Nguyen — Google review
15 minute walk from the parking. The path is pretty easy and straight forward. The very last part requires a little climbing and hopping on rocks. Average health or with children should be fine.
It's a pretty cool rock surface to walk on and at the end there is a pool and the waterfall. However in the off season, Jan-feb, there is no water in the waterfall. Still worth a visit.

There was a fountain in Koh Kood. Many tourists came there. It might be Summer and the water was not much. The water from the fountain was cold.

I was there end of October, full stream on waterfall and fresh water. The best memory of Koh KUT. Definitely will go back again...
Dada Phakjirawattanakul — Google review
Best to visit during the rainy season. During winter months the water levels are low and it's worth s visit only if you're on the island for an extended stay. It's an easy walk through the nature trail to the waterfall. Also don't stop at the location shown by Google maps, continue driving straight from this location until you see a proper designated parking lot. The entrance to the waterfall is right next to it.

Biggest waterfall on Koh Kood, great place to visit during or after the rain season, it’s one of the best attractions to spend few hours refreshing! Enjoy swimming, picnic, relaxing, taking pictures or even exploring down the river!
(Is a 10 minute walk from the parking-entry, where you’ll be ask to make a voluntarily donation to help keep the place safe and clean, any amount is ok the walk is very easy, however the rocks around the waterfall are slippery and must be very careful. during the rainy season the volume of water might be very high and unsafe to swim in some occasions)
R.Q. — Google review
The reviews worried me a bit as my mother is in her late sixties and a lot of the reviews made the path seem treacherous, and yes if it were soaked, it would be slippery but it was a very easy and doable walk to the rocky beach. Rope to swing on, people don't leave their trash. Lovely swim.
Don't expect immaculate free toilets and amenities at a public waterfall on a rustic island maybe 🤷♀️
Kristin Foss — Google review
Very beautiful waterfall however not easy to access as you need to walk through a muddy rocky walk path .Toilets were not clean and had no water !!! If your young and adventurous go and enjoy it , if your 40+ be very careful.
Mark Tonders — Google review
Amazing! We had so much fun here swimming and swinging on the rope swing. It wasn't as busy as other waterfalls we went too and it's our favourite one in Koh Kood now. It's a quick and easy walk from the parking lot.

steady flow of tourists but I was able to find some peace and quiet away from the busier parts when I climbed over some stones cause there was not much water because no rain season

Khlong Phlu waterfall is a serene tourist attraction situated amidst lush greenery. This tranquil waterfall features a sizeable swimming hole, which offers visitors the perfect opportunity to cool off in the refreshing water. To reach this natural wonder, tourists can take an easy 600 meter walk along a scenic path from the entrance. Visitors are required to pay an entry fee of 40 baht per person (for Thai).
Khlong Phlu Waterfall in Koh Chang is a splendid natural attraction worth visiting. Despite the 200 Baht entrance fee, the experience is quite rewarding. The waterfall itself is a picturesque scene, providing a tranquil and refreshing environment ideal for relaxation and photography.
Visitors should be prepared for a bit of a trek to reach the waterfall, as the path can be rugged. It's advisable to wear secure and comfortable shoes to navigate the uneven terrain safely. Overall, for those looking to immerse themselves in nature's beauty, Khlong Phlu Waterfall is a worthwhile destination.
Pauline Mulvaney — Google review
Perhaps because I've seen much better waterfalls this didn't really do it for me. It's not bad, but had I known what it was like, I probably wouldn't spend 200 Baht (40 Baht for Thai) to visit. It lies at the end of a 500 meter trail through the forest with a small viewpoint of the river en route. It's popular with people wanting to swim in the pond at the bottom of the waterfall. Parking motorcycles at the entrance to the Park is another 20 Baht.
Miles Macdonald — Google review
A pretty little park to visit... but make sure you visit during the right season. In April, we're far enough out of the wet season that there was barely a trickle over the rocks. We played with the fish and took some nice pics but saw little of the waterfall.
Ken S — Google review
Great way to spend a few hours. The waterfall is around 500m from the ticket office. We visited today and although it's the dry season, it rained briefly this morning, which made the path to the waterfall a little treacherous. It's over rocks and roots so is a little rough in just flip flops. We made it safely, but it's better to wear proper shoes if you have them.
The waterfall itself is lovely. The water is very clear and fresh. There's a pool at the bottom of the waterfall which is deep, and there are lifejackets available. The pool extends around 100m or so to some rocks, and by the time it reaches the rocks it's very shallow. So you have the option of just wading and getting your feet wet, or going for a proper swim.
The water is full of some very curious fish, who like to nibble at your feet. It's a nice, relaxing half-day trip.
Prices:
Parking (motorbike) - 10 Baht
Parking (car) - 20 Baht
Entry fee (Thai national) - 40 Baht
Entry fee (foreigner) - 200 Baht
Jordan G — Google review
A nice waterfall and swimming area. Access is over rocks, tree roots and it quite uneven so not suitable if you dont like small trails through the rainforest. Water is crystal clear with fish. The only toilets are at the entry so get changed into swimmers before u walk up. Takes about 25mins to walk all the way to the waterfall. Take water with u as there are no vendors selling anything nearby.
Daniel Jones — Google review
Entry Ticket 200 baht/person for foreign (40 baht/Thai people). We come here on July 2023 & the waterfall is falling heavily. From the entrance you may go trekking for about 30 minutes, and beware of slippery trails. It is a easy trekking trip for kids too. There are 5 stations but actually the concept of each station is not clear. Water is clear & there
are many fish, but it's also a little bit dangerous to climb & swim in deep water. Worth a try for a half-day activity on the island.
Leo Nguyen — Google review
What a beautiful waterfall full of curious fish that will be following you in the water! This place is spectacular! We spent hours there and absolutely love it. The hike is very easy, basically anyone can do it. It's a bit expensive to get in as a foreign but totally worth it. A must see while in Koh Chang!
Carla J. — Google review
฿40 to park a car and ฿200 for non-Thai. Pleasant staff and the trail is in really good condition. The whole trail is shaded and only opens up at the waterfall itself. Not too busy but not empty around 13:00 and the fall is still worth seeing in the Dry Season. 40 minutes from car park to fall if you stop at viewpoints and take photos, 20 minutes if you don’t stop. Advisable to wear shoes as although the trail is fairly easy, there are parts that are momentarily steep or require proper footholds.
r2thebizel — Google review
Waterfall with a pool to swim in. It was fairly easy to walk through the natural path, around 600m from the entrance to reach the waterfall. Entry fee 40 baht per person (for Thai).
Panida Da Ottesen — Google review
Swimming at the waterfall viewing spot (at the end of the trail) is not allowed but we could swim at the big clear pool or shallow waterfalls along the way there. Lots of Pluang fish in the area, some of small ones come to do fish spa for free! Dipping into cold fresh water is a great relaxing and fun acivity esp for kids. Quite a safe place for kids who are able to swim.
Also, parking lots at the entrance are available and convenient for cars and motorcycles. No need to park outside the National Park area (and pay more).

I write many reviews and I really am stuck on what to write here ! I want to be positive but it’s not made easy by the experience if I’m honest. I live in Thailand and I am not a tourist - dual pricing is still common in Thailand and they show no shame at all - it’s like they don’t want tourists to visit these places !!
So I have pale skin so I paid 200baht and my wife paid 40baht even though I hold a Thai ID and spend all my income in Thailand.
If I question this I am told it helps maintain the park or waterfall or golf course or whatever you are over charged for. Well maintenance is certainly not funded by my entrance fee or anybody else’s - the hand rails are either broken or missing so no spending there !
Another over staffed place - 1 very bored man to sell you a ticket without eye contact or a smile - a second man 5 meters away to check your ticket !!
We wandered up the 600meters of very unstable and rocky path and even managed not to break an ankle or 2, using the poorly fitted ropes in ad hoc locations we reached the waterfall -
Niagara it is not, so don’t get too excited
I am glad I did this trip but really unlikely to return.
Sorry this has been so negative but it’s hard to praise such an experience.

Khlong Phlu Waterfalls is one of the treasures of Koh Chang and is a must visit for all travelers. I've been here a number of times with family and friends. The path is a mountainous 600 meter trek so watch out for small kids and elders. The final swimming pool at the waterfall has the fish that eat the skin off your feet like the fish spas but by Mother Nature. You can also jump off both sides of the rock formation, an 7 foot drop into the water.

Nice and chilled waterfall with a little hike through the jungle. We visited the waterfall end of october in rainy season and it was perfect.
There is a parking space for 20 Baht right before the entrance. If you are lucky you can also drive through the entrance and park directly on one of the few free parking spaces.

Koh Chang is not just about beaches. If you are bored with beaches and want to take bath in fresh water, then there are 5 to 6 waterfalls in Koh Chang. Among them Khlong Phlu waterfalls is the best. You have to hike for 500 mts to reach the falls. It is a very easy hike. Also you have to get an entry pass as this waterfalls is located inside a national park.

Nice 1,5 hours walk from our resort to this beautiful waterfall. We’ve spend some time there, my daughter swam a little in the clear water with some fish in it.
During dry season, the water fall had little water. But nevertheless it’s nice there. Calm, pure nature and far away from rest of the island

I recently visited the waterfall in Koh Chang near White Sand Beach and had a wonderful time.
The trekking and trail walk to the waterfall offered stunning views of the surrounding nature.
Although the entrance fee for non-Thai people was 200 baht, which I found a bit pricey, the clear water lake with many visible fishes made it worthwhile.
Rith Pisey — Google review
200 baht entrance fee seemed a bit steep but it was a nice walk up and the falls and swimming area were beautiful and refreshing. Some quite large fish to look at and the smaller ones do nibble your feet but a really nice way to relax.
Go there early to avoid the annoying Russians!

Water fall is about 900m from the gate. It is applied entrance fee. The walking pass to the wall is made by people walked and step on stone and route of tree too. And up and down. We saw an older person came with son but it is tough to walk.
At the end we can see this wall. Water is cooler and many dishes there. Once you step in and stand still, you feel something biting your foot. Fish like doctor fishes are biting foot.
Worth to come and enjoy cooler water.

Lovely place. Hike in can be a little slippery at times depending on the weather as well. There are guide ropes at certain points that are helpful as well. Could be a little challenging for people with mobility issues. Very scenic walk in. Well kept areas. Lovely waterfall with nice pool underneath to cool off. Did have a few nibblie fish but not too bad. Definite must see of Koh Chang. 200baht to get in for adults.

Went there in April 2024. Price for an adult- 200 thb.
It’s a very short 10-15 min light hike to the waterfall. The forest is beautiful and very lush green with butterflies flying all around you.
If you come early in the morning you will be able to enjoy the swim to the waterfall on your own.

Sai Kaew Beach, situated near an upscale resort, boasts of crystal clear waters and a tranquil atmosphere devoid of the noise from large crowds. Speedboats are a common sight as they cruise along the white-sand beach. The surrounding restaurants and beaches are located just a few kilometers away, making it convenient for visitors to explore different areas. Though the main beach area is fun to visit, most people prefer not to book hotels there due to its bustling nature.
Sai Kaew beach is perfect at this very moment, Quiet without the loud Chinese herds. In April sunny and crystal clear waters. Good food and drinks on the beach.

Beautiful white sand beach that varies quite a bit in size between high and low tide. There are lots of bars and restaurants along the beach (some with irritatingly loud music) and it can get very busy at the weekends.

Great beach with beautiful white sand. Good selection of bars and restaurants with something for everyone. Easy to find somewhere to chill during the day, even when it's busy. At night the beach turns into a restaurant mania.

This is a really nice place to stay. Comfortable and practical. Great view and swimming pool. It is not the main beach area. We tended to drive a few kilometers away to attend the restaurants and clean beaches.

First beach you sea when arriving on the island. Only 11 minutes walk to the Pier. You can set on sunbathing chairs, but shading umbrellas does not protect you from UV rays. So better bring sunscreen even sitting under shade. While walking the beach, Smell of chicken barbecue, Koh Samet Island amblem over the end of the beach. If trying seafood restaurants would be better option. I find menu prices on sitting chairs is high. One grilled fish cost 550 for example, where you can get it 300-350 back in the mainland.

Absolutely beautiful beach. One of the best in Thailand. Was here like 20 years ago but liked it even more this year. Water is crystal clear and light green. Sand itself absolutely beautiful fine and white and doesnt burn your feet. So clean.
Vendors that offer their products and fruit/food in a polite way without being pushy.
It doesn't get much better.
Saturdays arrives MANY big motorboats with twin Yamaha big motors that are full with day tourists from China. Be prepared for a lot of screaming and behaviour that shows little respect to other tourists there.
Same thing on restaurants with plenty of leftovers and garbage on floor after eating. NOT EVERYBODY but a significant part that stands out on this very call paradise island.

Nice beach but service and quality in restaurants is very average. Avoid the Kid Crepe stall on the beach she will over charge you if she thinks she can get away with it and the crepe wasn't very nice. Much better roti stalls to be had further down the beach.

Horrifying amount of plastic and rubbish on this beach. There is a large amount of tourists from a Country with a red flag and 5 stars. I’m not speculating they are responsible, but….

Good beach with clear water and white sand. There are a lot of cafes and bars on it, that is its flaw. But the ocean is realy good there...

Nice beach with soft sand and clean water. There are bars and restaurants that line the beach, with a lot of shaded areas and places to chill. Not a noisy party beach at all. There are public toilets on the road back off the beach that are clean. Most deck chairs are about 50 baht to rent for the day. Water is good for swimming and the beach is shallow not deep so safe for kids but watch out for the narrow zone jetskis can pull in.

I'll never travel to Ao Nang without this trip planner again
Khao Kheow Open Zoo is an exotic destination that offers a unique experience of witnessing African mammals, tigers and apes in their natural habitats. Located amidst the hills and dense jungle, this zoo is divided into two zones - green and pink. You can choose to rent a tram or golf cart to explore the park. The animals are kept in their natural habitats, making it feel like you're on a real safari adventure.
I came here in the morning on the weekend. There weren't many people in the morning. Entry price is 250 baht for adults. If you come to Thailand, you should definitely come here. There are many animals inside. You feel very close to them as it is open zoo. You also have the chance to feed many animals. I fed an elephant and it was very enjoyable. There are also wild monkeys as it is an open zoo. You should pay attention to these. They can harm you or steal your belongings. Since the zoo is very large, I definitely recommend renting a golf cart. Not too expensive just 500 baht. 4 people can use it.

I like it, always nice to get some open air and interact with animals. some visits are up to the animals, are they sleeping, eating, playing. the set shows of the March of the penguins is constant and usually popular and can buy snack to feed them on stage. the swimming with elephants is always popular and when busy people need to que up early for the next show. feeding the elephants and giraffes is also popular and a good photo opportunity. this year traffic was down and there seemed to be less animals. they are also upgrading a couple of the parking lots. easy to park, can ride several available trolleys or rent a electric golf cart for a fee about 500 baht and up depending on size and time 4 seats or 6 seats a couple hours or more.
the carts are nice but the trolleys work well and you only need a cart to go to the big cat , guar, Australia section. the rest is close enough to walk easily.
watch out for the roaming monkeys. some are aggressive to snatch food or a purse out of your hands, will climb into carts looking for snacks. usually don't fear you and can chase a person out of a cart. if they see a cane, walking stick or slingshot they usually will leave you alone.
there are several well placed snack and restroom options.

When you enter the zoo, you think this is going to be an amazing place where all of the animals can roam around. Unfortunately, this is not the case for animals. The elephant show is too much! The chains before the show and so on are not okay - I wish my kid didn't have to see this.
Pink zone is very small, and after pink zone, there is nothing - the park seems to be abandoned at the end of the park - very strange feeling
Overall a nice park, but they could do better for some animals

Totally in love with this open zoo! This is my first time visit, staff is very nice and polite. We parked the car at parking lot, bought ticket, adult 150 THB each, and 80THB for parking lot. You can rent buggy 500THB per 2 hours (can sit up to 4) or EV 3 wheel bike 350THB per 2 hrs including insurance (can sit 2).
The zoo is very large, you can see and feed eld's deer outdoor. Many money! Be careful of you belogging, they love to steal things.
We rent EV 3 wheels bike and drove along the green zone, you can enjoy seeing hippo, sloth, capybara. They are all cute and look very healthy!
Overall i had a very good experience here and will definitely come back to see more shows.

1. It was a good zoo.
2. Some animals like seal and many others looked sad and almost about to die because of their isolation and drugs.
3. Golf cart is a must to roam around (extra charges).
4. The map of the zoo is available and the posters of the map too.
5. Feeding animals are also there but very sad to see them like that

Fantastic place to bring young kids and the family for weekends activities. Ensure to come to this zoo early in the day as it does get very hot after lunch hours. There's wide variety animals around the zoo and many of them, we can bring the young kids up close with the animals. Food and snacks sell in the zoo is selling at premium, hence I would recommend to bring some snacks for the family. The zoo is massive can and There's the zoo hourly bus that's goes around as well as you can rent the gulf cart to goes around. I would recommend to do planing well as it's impossible to see everything, best to prioritize and plan

One of Thailand's largest zoos contains over 300 animal species in the 2000 acre forest area. Buy the tickets at the entry or the new parking area and then take the free hop-in-tram bus or choose the golf cart (rates apply 550 Baht with the insurance for two hours). Go around the various themed zones and enjoy. Well-maintained, and the staff are kind to help. Every area has snacks, beverage stalls, food courts, 7-Eleven convenience stores, restaurants, and restrooms. You can drive the golf cart or your vehicle to zone 3. Children enjoy and have fun and exciting experience with nature.

A nice zoo for a family outing. The drive to the zoo was awesome; you have to drive around 5km in the depths of a rural area to get to the zoo and the air was amazing on the ride up. Golf carts of 4 and 7 seats are available for personal hire. There are 2 zones. Zone 1/ Zone blue is accessible by walking and golf cart. The majority of animals are there and are within their enclosures. There are monkeys running around so be careful of your belongings and not going near mother monkeys with children (they might bite ya >:3 ). Zone pink is mostly treaded by your own vehicle and has zones for different animals, i.e Australia zone and cat complex. It's a whole day thing and mostly outdoor so plan a whole day for this. Best for kids, since it's just a zoo and not much else. They do have animal shows which can be entertaining. Overall, a great place for a family outing.

Highly recommend renting your own buggy 500 THB and discover the zoo in the most exciting and convenient way. Before entering the zoo's big entrance, turn left and walk 2 minutes to the buggy station. The zoo is huge, walking is abit too much as there are many slopes, or you can take the public tram which runs very often. Many families ride the buggy with grandparents and kids, it is very adorable and fun. The animals here seem to be well taken care of as I noticed their living spaces are well built, clean and spacious. If you're on your way to Pattaya, this place is definitely worth a visit for 2hrs. There are many fast foods and refreshment stations inside with reasonable prices. There is a 7Eleven at the entrance. Easy to find toilets also, no tissue. Best to visit right after opening hrs to avoid the long queue at the buggy rental. You will need to deposit your ID for the buggy, and abit of good driving skill is highly recommended.

A very nice zoo. The monkeys walk around the park. It is very pleasing to the eye. It was disappointing to see that in part of the trip there were some cages that were a little empty. The advantage is that there are many food stalls throughout the park.

Better than Safari World! The golf buggy made it so much more fun and easy to get around the zoo in the heat! Love how some animals can roam around the zoo freely! Very recommended!
Nichi B — Google review
This is very poor value for money 350baht entry +500 for a golf buggy for 2, it felt more like visiting Jurassic park 2... There was no direction for the visit from the staff there.
There are hardly any animals in here compared to the past, many empty enclosures and there is no clear timetable for the shows which happen ~3x a day.
The enclosures are old, half abandoned, falling apart and the grounds are overgrown and unkempt. It felt like a ghost zoo.
We noticed one man zooming around on his moped the whole time shouting at the animals, waving a stick and throwing bananas into the enclosures to make it look Interesting. It was more disturbing.
Be warned the monkeys are roaming everywhere and will steal belongings if left unattended.
The caged cats look emaciated and show signs of stress, I left feeling so sad for the animals welfare/future.
I would have asked for a refund but by 4.45pm hardly any staff were around, I didn't see any near the exit.

Interesting experience at the zoo. Some shows included an elephant swimming and penguins walking to the stage to get fed by tourists or anyone who wants to pay money to feed them.
Very open zoo, did a lot of walking but preferably you should hire a golf kart or take the public round trip safari buses as each area is quite far from the other.
Place is still under construction.

+ You can buy cheap tickets when you arrive
+ You can rent a golf cart and drive around the whole zoo at your own speed.
+ Many animals to see, monkeys, deer, hippo, elephant, lion, tigers, birds, capybaras, giraffes and aquatic animals
+ Monkeys roam the zoo freely, don't get too close or they'll chase you
+ You can feed and interact with some animals. Such as penguins and giraffe.

The space is beautiful and set in an already natural beauty. There is a lot of space and animals are a bit far from each other which makes me believe that it would've been nicer to see the animals with some more space. The enclosures are run down and sincerely too small, especially when there's so much space around.
A big chunk of the zoo is to visit by car seeing that each enclosure is 500m from the previous one. It would've been nice to see that info somewhere.
They basically feed the animals by selling the guests feed. Great business plan but still feels like a steal as every movement inside costs extra.
Not my favourite zoo, but not the worst either. I plan to return as I haven't had the chance to visit half of it and the kid loved it.

Best place to spend morning time with family. The park is full of green and feels more like in natural surroundings. Shows are in various areas and timings are different so better check in their website for more details. Renting a self-driving golf cart is best option if traveling with family.

Could be better if more indicators signs would show where you are, where is the next place to visit. When you pay 300b for the entry, a paper map will be helpful. Chimpanzees or orangutans cannot be seen after 4pm, so you need to arrive early. Rent a golf cart because you will need to walk a lot!

A nice place to hang out with family and friends. You can encounter animals closely. They have a good variety of animal species.
Renting a golf car which is 2 hours validated is the best choice to move around in the zoo.

I would recommend going early to enjoy all the rides in the park. They have food stalls and also there is a kfc inside the park. We clicked great pictures inside and had a lot of fun.
Only thing I faced a problem as a vegetarian there were very less food options. I would also recommend having a pizzeria inside.
Other than that we enjoyed our day at the theme park. A perfect fun place to be in for kids as well as adults who like to do such activities.

They have tickets range from 250 baht-500 baht to even more. Ticket range determines the activities you can enroll inside. But, i suggest 500 Baht ticket is ideal for lots of activities (adult and kids have same ticket price).
All drinks and food are also available inside (from reasonable to expensive range).

2. Tornado
3. Swing boat
4. Go cart
5. Giant Water tubing

some hat to stay longer at Snow town.
You can pay there ONLY cash or Thai Bank scan QR. But near cashier they have SCB ATM.

Dream World is an expansive wonderland with over 40 thrilling rides, promising an adventure-filled day. Its sheer size allows for an extensive array of attractions, catering to every taste for adrenaline rushes. However, during peak holiday seasons, the park bustles with activity, resulting in lengthy queues for rides.
Despite the wait, the staff stands out for their helpfulness and friendly demeanor, making the experience more pleasant. The amusement park's affordability is a definite plus, offering a pocket-friendly escapade into fun and excitement.
Despite the crowds, the variety of rides ensures an unforgettable time. From heart-pounding roller coasters to family-friendly attractions, Dream World delivers on excitement and entertainment. The only downside lies in the long waiting lines during peak times, which might test patience.
Overall, Dream World is a super fun destination that provides great value for its diverse range of rides and affordability. Prepare for crowds during holidays but rest assured, the experience is worth it for the thrill-seekers and families looking for an exciting day out.

Recommended for those who love amusement parks and have some free times during their stay in Bangkok, this is conveniently located just an hour from the city center.
The experience is enhanced when shared with a group of friends. Even I’m not a fan of the thrilling rides, I enjoyed my time. Families with children can delight in a charming parade at around 3 pm in front of the Giant house area.
If you are an aquarium lover, they’re building one, making it a promising highlight for my next visit!

The place has various kinds of fun rides such as the Sky Coaster, the Speed Mouse Coaster, Grand Canyon, Super Splash, and more. Also, the ticket fee is not that expensive. Before I went on Sunday, I bought the ticket with 790 baht on Friday Night which we can play all things with unlimited. Ty e safety for coaster is good and service is good; environment is clean as the area is wide enough. I like the snow town especially. The food is not that much to eat only some kinds of street food and KFC in it. Also, 4D watch has only one displayed all the time when I go to Dream World. It would be nice to expand more on it. We can get good parking area. A good place to go when visiting in Thailand.

It's a pretty cool theme park. Some of the less popular attractions aren't maintained that well (like miniature buildings). All the rides felt safe although not as many good rides as I expected. They aren't set up to give you photos on the rides like many of the theme parks in Western countries are.
Not to crowded so you can spend a lot of time on rides without lining up too much.

I recently visited Dreamworld in Bangkok, and it was a delightful experience for both adults and children alike. The theme park, with its wide range of attractions and beautifully landscaped gardens, offers a perfect escape for a day of fun and adventure.
Upon entering, I was impressed by the park’s organization and cleanliness. The staff were friendly and helpful, providing clear directions and assistance throughout the park.
The variety of rides and attractions at Dreamworld is commendable. From thrilling roller coasters to family-friendly rides, there is something for everyone. The Space Mountain and the Viking Ship were particularly exhilarating, providing the right amount of thrill. For those who prefer milder entertainment, the cable car offers a serene view of the entire park.
Dreamworld also excels in its fantasy-themed areas. The Snow Town was a unique experience, offering a wintry wonderland in the heart of tropical Bangkok. The kids especially enjoyed the opportunity to play in the snow and try the sleds.
The food options within the park were plentiful, with a variety of eateries serving both local and international cuisine. The prices were reasonable, and the food quality was satisfactory, keeping us energized for the day.
The only downside was that some of the attractions had long waiting lines, which can be a bit tiresome, especially under the hot sun. I recommend arriving early or planning your visit on a weekday to avoid the crowds.
In conclusion, Dreamworld Bangkok provides a fantastic day out for families and thrill-seekers. With its wide array of attractions, beautiful settings, and efficient operations, it promises a memorable experience. I would definitely recommend a visit to anyone looking for a fun and adventurous day in Bangkok.

Here is the most popular amusement park in Thailand. I came here when I was a teenager. Now i'm 30+ years old and I'm back with my cousins.
Many machines I used to play are still running with great maintenance. 2-3 new machines are added with new photo zones since 10+ years ago.
Safari World Bangkok is a popular zoo and entertainment park in the heart of Bangkok, drawing both tourists and locals alike. This expansive 480-acre park, established in 1988, offers an immersive experience into Thailand's diverse wildlife. Divided into two sections - Marine Park and Safari Park - visitors can explore a wide range of animal habitats. The park features safari rides, marine attractions, live feedings, and thrilling stunt shows that cater to both education and entertainment.

Also, the feeding activities are very interesting (but pricey😓). You can feed baby tiger, giraffe, kangaroo, camel, and etc.

It's a great place to spend the day, loaded with a variety of shows and animals. Macaws, a Walrus, Meerkats, Kangaroos, an Owl, Turtle, Pelicans, Flamingos, and more were there. I attended the Orangutan show, Spy Wars, Elephant show, Dolphin show, and Sea Lion show. While the Dolphin show is considered the highlight, I personally preferred the Sea Lion show. Additionally, the Elephant painting was quite interesting to see. I skipped the cowboy show as it got too hot. I would recommend bringing a cap/hat, umbrella, and sunglasses if you're visiting in the hot season. A major drawback here is that they don't allow food or drinks inside; you have to purchase them inside, which is slightly more expensive.
Later, I visited the open zoo adjacent to the park. You can see it when you go to the Giraffe feeding area - carnivores animals are kept in another section bounded with electric fencing. It was nice to see the animals roaming around, but as it was very hot, even the tigers were inside their puddles.

Exploring Safari World in Bangkok, Thailand was a fantastic adventure, and the shows were undeniably a standout feature of my visit. The entertainment options were diverse and thoroughly enjoyable, catering to a wide range of preferences.
The variety of shows, from animal performances to thrilling stunts, kept me engaged and entertained throughout the day. The level of skill and coordination displayed by the performers, coupled with the unique blend of wildlife interaction, added an extra layer of excitement to the overall experience.
One of the highlights was witnessing the incredible intelligence and talents of the animals showcased in the performances. The shows not only provided entertainment but also offered valuable insights into the natural behaviors and abilities of various species.
Moreover, the interactive elements allowed visitors to feel more connected to the wildlife. Whether it was getting up close to the animals or participating in activities, the shows at Safari World created a sense of immersion and engagement.
The seamless combination of entertainment and education made the experience not only enjoyable but also enriching. I would highly recommend Safari World to anyone seeking a day filled with fun, excitement, and a deeper appreciation for the incredible world of wildlife.
One can feed various animals or take pictures with them all at the prices mentioned there. The shows are timed so make sure to be mindful about the time and reach the show to watch fully.

Only lions, tigers and bears were separated from them for a longer life for other animals 😅. It's a wonderful experience. We can ride with our own vehicle and that's a good thing. Only thing to remember is to close the windows and not drive fast inside this perimeter .

No outside drinks allowed so kindly leave it in your car. Wear something comfortable as there’s lots of walking and kinda hot.

Went here today this is what I thought of the place
1—-managing a park I will give them -10 , you turn up the ticket counters are a mess someone people are following politeness and lining up and other just walk in and go up to the counters so there is no one from management ensuring the smooth flow of people doing the right thing
2— extremely very busy park we went on a Friday and you have to really push people if you wanna watch a show very very busy
3—-they say no bottles and food allowed because they want you to buy their overpriced water and drinks and food
4— all the animal parts you go to every single one of them they wanna make money from you by selling you a bucket of food for 150-200 local currency
5— not the cleanest park I guess it’s a huge park and may be less staff don’t know
6—- the animals did not look healthy to us it was a hot day and they were all grasping for air may be not enough shady areas for animals
7— they had few shows we watched 4 of them you have to make sure you really rush to get good seats or else forget it don’t bother even watching them
8— every single thing inside the park you wanna do you pay extra
9— parking is free
10- safari park now that was. The best part of the trip
11- will highly recommend do not go in the zoo bus paying 100 local currency per person you won’t have a good time at all
12-we rented a car and went inside the safari in our rented car best experience ever
13- certainly I would say they could improve the park
14- tiger lions areas was the best worth it
15- drive your own car you can park in the tigers encounter and just stay in your car and watch them a very good experience indeed
16- there is a seven eleven right next to the exit so you can go get your normal priced drinks and food
17- you would need the whole day easy .
18- we came across some polite staff and some very very very horrible staff that was not a nice thing to do see specially towards kids so that was not a nice thing
I would certainly recommend the place worth. A visit

Very good place spend a whole day. Parking is available. Try to reach there at 9am so that you can watch all show timely and completely. Best is the dolphin show. If you like this review, please like and comment. Thank you.

It was a surreal experience. The premises and animal enclosures were super neat and clean. All the animals are treated well and looked healthy.
The highlight of the visit were the animal shows at different arenas. All the staff are well behaved and helpful. I had lunch there as well and it was satisfactory with all the crowd management.
I literally have no suggestions they are functioning with such magnificence. Good Luck to all the crew and workers.

You have to visit this place if you are visiting Bangkok with family and kids. Huge zoo area, neat and well maintained animal cages. The ride at the entrance will give you experience of roaming in the jungle and witness wildlife in their natural habitat. The experience is amazing. They have various shows (schedule and timing of the show will be provided to you). This is one of the best zoos I've visited. Highly recommended.

If you love wild life, you have to visit this place. Especially if you have kids. So many shows to watch. Elephant show, Dolphin show, Orangutan Show and most favourite Sea lion show. You need a lot of time to explore the entire park. Wonderful experience for a family outing. Most shows are in Thai language. Thats the only drawback.

It was a busy day at Safari World. They offered a bus for an extra 100 because walking inside the zoo isn't allowed. Maybe renting a car is better for seeing the animals. The animal shows are a bit crowded, making finding a seat difficult. If you want to feed the animals, you need to pay extra for their food. Also, they don't allow outside drinks or food.Despite the challenges, it was definitely worth it.
Florami Carael — Google review
Safari World was a blast! Loved the stunt and animal shows, especially seeing the animals chilling in their natural spots. The elephant and dolphin shows were my absolute favorites. It’s a cool place to catch some fun shows and get up close with wildlife. Definitely a must-do if you’re into that sort of thing.

This is the most terrible place. If you actually think this is entertainment, then you have something very wrong with you. The tigers are kept in beyond cruel conditions, and many are pathetically thin. They have no natural enrichment at all. They are all exhibiting distressed behaviours, such as pacing. These places should be illegal, and SHAME on you if you visit. I visited for the purposes of research, and I found it deeply, deeply distressing. 95% of the visitors I saw were Indian. The Thai government should close these places down.

Nice little zoo with the option to interact with animals. Small kids will love it. We liked it due to the small size and it was not crowded at all. Also the entry fee is nominal..

They're abusing animals here. The animals are unhappy. They have cages that are too small, overcrowded, and with too few toys inside. They ride on elephants. The elephants are tied up in a way that they can't move. You can see how sad they are. The sight breaks your heart. This should be banned.

A nice mini zoo, the entrance fee can use as money to buy food and water along with food for feeding animals.
The zoo is not that big, with a great atmosphere and many places to take a photo. You can ride a horse and elephants. The riding horse fee is 2 rounds for 200 Baht, 30 mins for 500 Baht. The coach is very nice and teaches a lot of tricks before riding.

This isn’t how the majority of these animals are supposed to live. Do not visit. They are wild animals, not small pets that can be locked up in small cages.

I'll never travel to Ao Nang without this trip planner again
The Ancient City, also known as Muang Boran in Thai, is a vast outdoor museum that spans 240 acres and is designed to resemble the shape of Thailand. It features over 100 miniature replicas of famous Thai buildings and sites, including temples, palaces, pavilions, and stupas. These replicas are meticulously placed in geographic precision to their real counterparts. The museum offers visitors the opportunity to explore historical sites up close and gain insights into Thai history through these accurate representations.
This is certainly a must for anyone visiting or living in Thailand. The Ancient City is the largest outdoor museum in the world, preserving Siamese true heritage. The Ancient City allows both foreign and Thai nationals to appreciate the history of Thailand. There are 121 sites, some are reconstructed on a scale of about 1 in 3 while others are as big as the original. One can hire a bicycle, an electric bike or even a golf cart to travel around the plus/minus 200 acres. If you have your own car, you can enter the city at a fee.

Massive museum park with stunning architecture! Make sure to set aside a whole day if you want to get the full experience. The self-drive mini-cart is the best way to get around IMO. There are also bikes for rent if you want to burn calories while exploring the park. The guided tours are great but only stop at a few locations. Overall, one of the best experiences in Bangkok for architecture and history buffs. As a bonus, You will also get to see some local wildlife around the park.

Lovely experience. The temples and shrines are beautifully done to the smallest level of detail. I recommend renting a buggy and each person having a personal umbrella to cover from the sun. Don't forget your sun block and drink plenty of water. Took us a good 1 hour to drive through the entire park and made around 3-4 stops to experience the temple. You can easily spend half a day there but the heat was unforgiving at the time.

Although the ticket is a bit expensive, it’s worth to go.
We drove in the place by adding 400b more for the car. It’s convenient and nice. There are also other choices like golf cab or bike which are also good. We stayed there for about 4 hours but definitely can be longer if you are not tired.
The maintenance is quite good. So you can really enjoy some good views. Snack counters and toilets are sufficient. Toilets are clean and with proper papers.
Overall, it’s a good experience.

Very big and around 10km in total. You can easily spend whole day here if you want to explore and visit all the attractions.
Important:
1.Bring extra clothes as you will sweat a lot (free sauna).
2.Bring extra socks also as you need to remove your shoes/slippers when you enter the temples.
3.Take the golf car not the bike because it’s very hot and sunny, or else you will get grilled easily.
4. Bring hat, cap, umbrella and folding fans to protect yourself from the super hot weather.
5.Buy tickets online as it is way cheaper.
You can buy food and water inside so no worries.
Better to get there earlier so you will enjoy and no photo bombers.

One of the largest outdoor museums in the world, constructed by Lek Viriyaphant. The site is set over a large area and features some beautiful reproductions of some of Thailand’s iconic and mythical buildings that you are free to explore at your leisure.
It takes around 2 hours to traverse the park by golf cart, which I highly recommend for shade and comfort as it makes the experience more enjoyable and offers relief from the sun.
Quick tip: book your tickets online as it is half price. They will.l not always inform you of this when purchasing tickets on the door. We bought them online while at the park gate and they were available immediately.

Great halfway trip from Bangkok. Very easy to reach. Take the green line to Keha and jump on one of the pick-up taxis waiting at the station (they are marked with a 36 on the roof). The ride to the Ancient City costs 10 Baht. Once at the entrance, tickets are 700 Baht (400 if you have a Thai work permit or driver's license; there seem to be discounted tickets available online as well so that's worth checking out). You can rent an e-bike for 250 Baht (3h, every additional hour costs an extra 100 Baht but 3h is doable even with a coffee break). The park is massive and very well taken care of. Was there on a slightly cloudy Saturday, perfect weather for some sightseeing, still there were very few people in the park. There are small coffee shops and toilets at every corner, super convenient. Lots of great photo stops, history and Thai culture to be explored. Cruising around on an e-bike is great fun. There's a lot to see and only two of the sites were inaccessible due to maintenance work. Once you're done, bring back the scooter and cross the main street via foot bridge on your left so you can wave down one of the pick-up taxis (again, 10 Baht, marked with a 36 on the roof). A great and fun getaway from the city!

The park area is very large, so I recommend taking a golf cart to move around it. We took many beautiful photos. However, it seemed to us that everything looked very artificial and a little toy-like. The park's disadvantage is the lack of greenery and the fact that all buildings are made hastily from cheap materials. Also, many objects are under reconstruction. We spent 3 hours in the park and didn't see everything. We were advised to book tickets in advance to get a discount on the price.
Despite some drawbacks, Ancient Siam is a great place for photo shoots. We took many beautiful photos and enjoyed visiting the park. If you are looking for a place for bright and memorable photos, this place is definitely worth a visit.

Amazing place!
You can learn a lot of most of the wonders of Thailand in just one Park and very very affordable price (even if you buy the package including a nice Thai buffet lunch). Be aware to come early since it will take you long to see all the the scenes in this park (more or less 10 km). You can find gardens, statues, temples, recreations of monumental buildings, real elephants and other animals, restaurants, a museum, and even a small Thai farm-village.

Do not miss this place. Its about an hour away from the city centre but can travel easily by the hreen line metro and shuttle no 36. This place has more than 100 monuments, from across Thailand. Some are conceptual as well. We didn't take any golf car or bus, but would recommend it, especially if you are visiting during the summer time. However, not taking the bus would mean more time at every site and no rush. There's also a restaurant inside, which serves buffet. For a better deal, buy your tickets in advance on Klook and its better to include the buffet. The place is huge so even if there are visitors, there's no crowd.

Absolutely enjoyed it. Get the choice to rent a bicycle or a driver at the entrance. The service is already included in the ticket admission. We went for the bikes as we want to be more flexible when it comes to stopping and taking it in as opposed to having to be considered for other people. Also, it was a good exercise and the breeze was very enjoyable. The park itself is huge! So many beautiful things to see. Pagodas, temples, statues, gardens, ruins, boats, etc. The lost goes on and on. We were the only ones in the massive park when we arrived at around 10:30am. Nobody, but workers that helped maintaining the place, did we meet, which kind of felt like a VIP experience but on the downside, the park and the people are depending on the tickets so we hope that there will be a surge of tourists or more locals soon. COVID really made it a lonely experience since restaurants towards the center or the other end of the park were not even operating. The people deserve to be imbursed for their hard work and need it more than ever now!

The park is huge and the buildings are dizzying. The scenic spot provides golf carts, electric motorcycles, bicycles, and of course you can drive your own car. Personal recommendation, if there are few people, I recommend electric motorcycles, and if there are many people, choose golf carts. The entire scenic spot is still under construction, and each building is imitated very realistically. Every building wants to stay in the camera, which is suitable for playing all day. If there are some scenic spots in the park, you can check in here, and the effect is almost the same.

Perfect place to explore Thai culture. Accessible by BTS. I recommend borrowing a traditional costume (directly in the park) and then your pictures will be absolutely awesome. We had an amazing half day there. Park offers a lot of visitor facilities, and you don't need to bring anything with you.

Quite touristy, many of the temples are not originals and are either replicas or built with some "creative liberty". A very fun place to go and ride around, but expect tourist fun, not an authentic Thai experience.
Definitely get your tickets off of klook! It's much cheaper. And get a golf cart if you can, not many of the temples are worth going in but it's very fun to ride around the outside. The complex is huge so it would be very difficult to walk. Fun, but manage your expectations.

Ancient City has been regarded as one of the largest open-air museums in the world. Visitors can see many significant places in Thailand, for example, castles, palaces, temples, and sculptures. Some are models, but some are the originals that were taken from certain places. The exhibitions in the Ancient City are divided according to regions for visitors to enjoy and appreciate the core of the multi-faceted culture. The experience gives the impression of traveling the whole country within a day.

This place was awesome! We did not have enough time in 2 hours to go through the whole city. If you have the whole day, you could skip the golf cart rental and walk the entire place. If you need to finish in a certain amount of time, then rent a cart and park on the areas that are designated for the carts and walk portions of the city or just drive through and stop at the main sights. Please note that there are a good number of places that require shoes off to enter and some areas where no photos can be taken.

It's a really cool place! I wouldn't add it to the main attraction list when I am short of time in Thailand. It's more of a nice to have type of thing.A variety of temple representation from across Thailand. Make sure you buy your tickets online to save some money. The golf cart makes it even better it adds so much more to the experience. You can also find elephanta there.I think there are only 4-5 sightings worth visiting the rest you can drive past them. I strongly feel that the exhibitions themselves need to be maintained a bit more thoroughly. The rest of the park is really clean and well maintained. The staff is great and really helpful. Had a great time there.

This is a gorgeously designed and beautifully maintained representation of Thailand. They have segments of native structures and depict different stories across history. A definite must visit if you're in Thailand. Traditional music and food is available throughout. Since the coverage is so much, they have a train tour or you can take in your car or rent a gold buggy/ bicycle to move around. It's better to book the tickets online. When you head to the online booking counter, they hand you a map for easy guidance

This is a very beautiful place. Definitely a tourist trap, but a worthwhile one. Don't make the mistake of thinking the e-bikes would be fun...get a golf cart!!! They do not exchange or refund even after only a few minutes. E-bikes are not comfortable at all!!! We wasted quite a bit of money, but were much happier in the golf cart.

Awesome display of Thai culture. Added benefit we found elephants. We fed the elephants but did not ride. Also bikes and golf carts to get around. So big we could never walk every where 1 day. Also, they are very honest. Made a mistake on my credit card that I did not catch. They actually sent someone to find us to get issue fixed. Not many places would do that. I gave 5 stars for each point made above. The staff and attraction were Awesome. Highly recommend.

This attraction ranks among the finest I have experienced. From the architecturally stunning buildings and statues to the serene water features, every aspect is impeccably organized. The staff also contribute to the exceptional quality of the visit. Given the expansive nature of the area, I highly recommend utilizing a golf cart or an electric vehicle for navigation. Attempting to explore this vast space solely on foot could be quite challenging.

Definitely not a place you can easily walk through due to its massive size; transportation is a must! Unfortunately, bringing your own bike inside is not an option, but there are convenient rental choices available. The facility offers numerous restrooms and eat stations scattered throughout, with a buffet entry fee of 280 baht.
The attractions themselves are impressive, providing opportunities for great photos. Additionally, there's an option to rent traditional costumes for a more enjoyable experience. I appreciate their unique approach, as the exhibits are far from being too simple or generic; I’d say that there's a nice touch to every detail. Not every attraction is a must-see, after spending about half your time there, you'll likely grasp the overall concept and can enjoy the beauty from a distance as you drive through. There are certain areas where long clothes are necessary to cover your legs, but you can just borrow it.
4ish hrs is sufficient to explore the main attractions, drive through the entire area and take occasional breaks at the eateries. Might be different for a big family though, which is different from my experience.

Ko Sichang is a picturesque island that can be easily reached by ferry from Bangkok. It offers various hiking trails, beaches for relaxation and scooter rentals to explore the island. This place is ideal for running enthusiasts as the roads are good with some great hills.
Koh Si Chang, Thailand – Travel Guide
Not to be confused with the much larger and more popular island of ‘Koh Chang’ in Trat province, Koh Si Chang is a magical little island close to Bangkok that exists mostly unknown to international travellers!
This piece of paradise in the Gulf of Thailand only has one beach, which is quite small, and the mountainous terrain makes this an interesting island to explore.
Unlike nearby islands, Koh Si Chang is not a party destination and doesn’t even have any bars in town! With little tourist infrastructure to attract people, the island stays relatively quiet, especially on weekdays. However, despite the laid-back atmosphere, there is plenty to do to keep visitors busy.
Koh Si Chang is primarily a fishing island, and the town is filled with people who make their living from the sea.
Due to the fact that, for the time being, so few foreign travellers visit the island, the majority of residents don’t work in the tourism industry, although this is rapidly changing.
However, at the moment, instead of trying to sell you a cheap souvenir or a snack, locals typically just go about their day and don’t bother travellers. However, don’t think that people here are rude! When you stop to talk to people, you’ll receive nothing but smiles and gracious hospitality. This is the way Thailand is meant to be!
The ferry pulls up to a pier in the heart of town, which is also where are the restaurants and the majority of the attractions are. However, you can rent a motorbike right on the pier which will allow you to head straight to your accommodation if you’re travelling light. Many resorts also offer pick-up from the pier.

A beautiful island that is extremely easy and relatively quick to visit from Bangkok. Hire a bike and explore the island from top to bottom very easily. Lots of local seafood restaurants to enjoy. Limited on beaches but the outstanding sunsets make up for it. A great island for running enthusiasts - good roads and some great hills. Stay at one of the local wooden hut b&b’s for a slightly more off grid experience. It’s not for those who are looking to fill their days with activities but more suited to those looking for a complete reset.

Beautiful island peaceful and quiet compare with the tourist crowded Pattaya. But overall the boat service to the island was a nightmare. The fishing boat modified my family and me boarded was lack of safety even thought it has the life jacket equipped. The boat’s boarding walk way was too narrow. What I liked about the small, cozy island of Ko Si Chang: # No cars allowed! Only scooters and stylish tuktuks. # Very little number of tourists, so no noisy night life. # Diversified hilly terrain with super satisfying narrow winding roads for scooter riding (rent your own Zoomer for 300 bht/24h). # Some quiet resorts and natural nooks where you can hide from the world and avoid crowds - good for writers or thinkers perhaps. # Dry microclimate: you feel like in Greece for a change, not a greenhouse. # Wonderful vistas from a promenade to the west and other high points. # Some choice of vegan food in certain restos. # Low prices. # So close to Bkk, 4 hrs by bus and ferry in total. # Smiling friendly locals.
Be aware of sea urchins (bring plastic shoes) and jellyfish in the ocean. Be prepared that life slows down rapidly right after disembarking and you might need some time to get in sync.

The Sanctuary of Truth Museum, also known as the Truth Temple, is an impressive 20-story complex in Pattaya that is still under construction. The entire structure is meticulously crafted from hand-hewn wood carvings, with a design style inspired by traditional Asian art and the grandeur of dynastic Siam. It’s not a historical spot to view, but very attractive and amazing. The museum started from the year 1981 and is still keep on making new constraints. Gorgeous scenery. Lots and lots of good spots for photo taking. Walk in price is 500 bath, but it can go down to 365 baht if you booked online. Please be advised that you are required to wear something 'respectful', meaning you need to wear something of knees length. If the staff deemed your outfit to be inappropriate, then they have the option for you to buy or rent for (they'll return the deposit when you're done) skirts or oversized trousers of 200baht for you to wear on your duration of your visit. The Sanctuary of Truth is an absolute must-visit destination in Pattaya. This magnificent museum is entirely constructed from wood, showcasing remarkable craftsmanship. The sheer size of the museum is awe-inspiring, leaving visitors with a sense of wonder. The ideal time to explore the museum is in the morning when the ambiance is tranquil and inviting. Additionally, for those seeking a unique experience, an elephant ride is available near the temple, offering a captivating journey around the premises, albeit at a relatively high cost. Inside the temple, you'll discover a refreshment store as well

The tour guide was super informative in explaining every corner and philosophy of each sculpture here, although it was quite short, but definitely I learn a lot about the history of this temple. The wood carving is updated regularly and crafted with precision with their sculptor and adds the beauty of this site.

There are so many little places within the structure that you can sit and reflect, sort of search your own truths. There are tons of tourists, and a lot of them don't abide by the rules because a picture is more important than the history and the building structure. I started off with the tour lady and then took a gap and went off on my own. There is a lot of construction taking place as it is a wood structure that requires constant fixing. It's beautiful and breathtaking. Every structure inside comes with a meaning, a description of why it's there and what it stands for. I read every single one. You need about 2 - 3 hours to go through the whole structure. Don't bother with the restaurant and food outside the building. it's a tourist trap and expensive. Just outside the gates are plenty of places that sell juice, water and beer, etc, for half the price. You will wait for your turn and it's language based. They are always on time which is good, especially in the blistering heat

A great experience. The structure is done using ancient Thai construction techniques which means not nails or bolts. Several different types of wood joints have been utilized in the construction process. The tour guide was excellent and spoke great English. All in all it was a great experience and the restaurant was also pretty good as well.

One of the stunning and spectacular temples. Fully wood carved by artisans. The amount of work done is incredible and the key quotes and messages inside the temple are quite motivating and philosophical. Also feeding the goats, deer, rabbits and sheep was really soothing.
Come during the evening time, you get beautiful sunset to take photo shoots.
Please do note you have to pay 500 Baht for tickets to visit the temple. But worth it !

A very beautiful museum and well worth a visit. The museum is made purely with wood. The carvings are intricate and real skillfulness to build it. Although it's called the sanctuary of truth, but I am not sure about the elephant rides on the premises. I have been reassured the elephants are well cared for. There are guided tours in different languages at specific times.

Amazing, so beautiful, and such powerful precepts. Highly recommend. Take a photo of every plaque in the temple because the sayings and meanings of each are particularly beautiful and they are not in the brochure or leaflet. And I can't find the book to buy anywhere outside of the gift shop

A must visit place at Pattaya. Fantastic place to go through. I wasn't thought this would be mesmerizing. This is a museum, that showcases truth of life. The entire museum is made of wood, that uses only wood-lock joints, instead of nails. You will get a guide there, in English, Thai, Chinese or Russian, which is included in the ticket price.
There's a refreshment store inside the museum premises. I would recommend, visit this place during the early morning session or in the evening. At noon there's harsh sunlight and heat.

Amazing place! The art was astounding. Visited midday and it wasn’t too hot. The guides were very knowledgeable. My only advice to the guides would be to slow down when talking/walking. It was a speedy tour. After the tour make sure to order a coconut smoothie! Very good!

1. They take people in batches.
2. Every batch has a guide who speaks the language (for me personally English).
3. They had a small version of a real sanctuary explaining there was no nail used
4. There were workers scalping the real wooden thing swhich is used in the sanctuary both inside and out.
5. The map was also given in our preferred language.

Sanctuary of Truth is a wooden giant structure filled with best scripture work all around and conveys the ways of living for human being. It does contains some stories of the Indian epic Ramayan, also earthly god representations and the tour guide helps us to understand the 6 truths of life. Not only that they will help us identify the owner of the museum intention of the structures why they are such way and it’s an incredible experience, must visit and if you love sculptures and love to explore epics, you would love to spend more time to understand them. They also show how this huge structure built without even using nails.. yes it’s amazing right .. visit to know more…

Date of visit: Sun 14 Jan 2024
Time : 10 am
This is probably the grandest museum in this part of the country.
Entrance fee is 500 baht.
Everything is run smoothly. Organized tours are scheduled by language : Thai, English, Mandarin, Russian.
We waited our turn to follow the English tour.
The tour lasted for about an hour.
Everything here is about good and evil and life and death and about Buddhism.
Sculptures are beautiful and in wood.
It’s a beautiful monument !

One of the best places I've visited here in Thailand. Good scenery, good air, nice view, and also you can check the history of this place and learn while visiting it. I suggest that you must also visit this place if your here. And yeah. Don't forget that you need a ticket if you want to enter the museum.
For the museum tour don't worry there are different languages they offer when you join the tour

Entrance is 500 Baht and the activities are a separate payment. They accept cashless payments too. I’ve uploaded their prices for everyone’s reference. However, I forgot to take a picture on the time schedule per nationality for tour purposes.
They also have a restaurant inside with reasonable prices. I think it took us almost 3 hours for taking photos, eating and etc. it was pretty humid when we went despite the cloudy weather.
I just think that their activity prices are too high. For instance, riding an elephant is 400 Baht and you’ll be riding it for 10 minutes only. So it’s not a reasonable price in my opinion. So instead, just bought a basket of bananas for 100 Baht to feed the elephants, much better!

Outstandingly beautiful. Words can not do the atmosphere of this place justice. Very charged with a feel good factor. Strange but true it has a way of making you reflect on your own self beliefs. And how you conduct yourself in this world. Just an awesome place to reflect. The fact its made of hand carved wood only. And the amount of time it's taken to do is testament to the work ethic of the thai people who do it.

Mesmerizing temple! It’s interesting that the tour started with safety briefing and move down to the workshop area. Make sure to ask for the different timing for guided tour. They have tour guides in Chinese, English and Russian. I’ve met a co-Filipino working as a tour guide and offered to take photo of us in the most well photographed part of the museum. Fantastic visit, indeed!

This is an architectural masterpiece in Thailand. This is a must visit place at least once in a lifetime. The entire museum is carved out of wood and the construction is going on for over 40 years and still counting. One can see the sculptors working on further while the museum is open to pubilc

The best place to enter is on the 6.30 PM one. The evening entry price is 700 bath (normally 500 bath). The extra 200 bath is 100% worth as it looks amazing when all the lights are one.
The temple is extremely good, and you'll feel the energy.
Inside, you'll get to learn (you'll have an English speaking guide), who will explain all about it.
The temple has four parts and they focused on four gods (earth, water, wind, fire), and sculpted the history of how they maintain peace.
You should go there with atleast 1 hour and 30 minutes to see through it all.
If you love history and complex structure, this is an experience which is a must for you,
You will for sure say wow, and will be mesmerized by the art.

Must visit if you are in pattaya. Very peaceful place. The detail of the carvings is insane. The work there is never ending. They work on many pieces and assemble them and change out old panels also. The carving designs and stories are derived from many other countries as well. There is tour guide on time slots. Listen to the guide, there is a lot of time to take photos after that.

One of the greatest architectural masterpieces I've seen. The sanctuary of truth is an awe-inspiring work of art that truly celebrates Thailand's diversity of cultural heritage and religious influences. It shows the nation promotes its traditional values of kindness and virtue with far more than simple lip service. Here Buddhism, Hinduism, Confucianism/Taoism, and even Islam and Sikhism are given equal respect, along with reminders of both the blessings we receive and the duties we owe to our family and society. Simply being inside this place makes me want to be a better person.
Guided tours in many languages come with the ticket, definitely take advantage of it to understand the deep meanings behind the temple museum's many murals and sculptures.
Day — Google review
This is an amazing place that deserves 5 stars. My rating reflects the surrounding “attractions” that spoil it. The elephant and horse riding should be stopped immediately. Website and leaflet claim it to be “ethical” but the elephants are being chained by their legs and guided using metal poking sticks. The tourists ride it around in the heat of the sun. It stands in in big conflict with the message of peace and sustainability being commemorated in the museum.
Other downside are the tours. There is so much to be told about this amazing place, yet the guides have trouble reaching their guests as they have to compete with other guides and the workers on site. I would have loved an audio guide to which you can listen in peace and on your own, sadly there is no such option. Also no smaller private tours are being offered. The complex message of the creator of this place is not coming across and reaching its audience in conditions like that, despite the great guides doing their best.
As an English speaking person there is also no possibility to access the museum before 9:10 am, which is when the first English tour is starting, even with the site opening at 8 am. It is weird, as after the seemingly mandatory tour you can walk around on your own as much as you like. I would have loved the possibility to see the place at 8 a.m. when it’s still not crowded and then would have joined a tour later in the day.

The Sanctuary of Truth completely exceeded my expectations, it doesn't feel like part of Pattaya at all. The craftsmanship and scale of the building is unbelievable. It's totally worth the entrance fee (100 baht cheaper to buy from online vendors for next day entrance). It was really hot when we visited but there are free umbrellas to borrow. They are quite strict about covering shoulders and legs but knee length shorts are okay for men. You have to wear a hard hat inside the building as there is work going on overhead.
The only thing we didn't like were the chains on the elephants.
Iain Downes — Google review
Amazing Architecture! Its mind blowing how they built it entirely of wood without using a single nail. It's been under construction since 1981 so you can imagine the complexity to get this to it's current state. Also, the different kids of joints using wood is very interesting to learn. A must visit if you're in Pattayya.

This is truly The wonder of this world. That's the only thing that come into my mind when I think about it. All made in wood by hand. The detail that all this sanctuary is made both in and outside make my jaw drop whole this day. Words can't describe the beauty and impression it makes when you're there. Base questions lying at the ground, planets, human behaviours as a pillars, main elements on earth as naves. Impressive. Definitely place to see and touch.

The Sanctuary of Truth Museum captivated me with its intricate wooden architecture, showcasing a harmonious blend of artistry and spirituality. The attention to detail in every carving left me in awe, reflecting a deep commitment to preserving cultural heritage. The sprawling premises offered a serene escape, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the rich Thai traditions. Knowledgeable guides enhanced the experience, providing insightful narratives about the symbolic significance of each structure. While the admission fee seemed justified, ensuring the site's maintenance and preservation, I found the souvenir prices a bit steep. Overall, a must-visit destination for those seeking cultural enlightenment amidst breathtaking craftsmanship.
Dhruval Savaliya — Google review
A truly majestic wooden structure, what makes it unique is the requirement to wear a construction helmet upon entry. Visitors are initially guided through the construction area to witness the meticulous hand-carving process. Continuous maintenance and carving activities are ongoing, necessitating the use of safety helmets even inside the main hall. The entire building is constructed without the use of any nails; instead, it relies on traditional joinery, tenon-and-mortise, and wooden pegs. This construction method, is remarkably preserved here, presenting a spectacular sight.
Visitors also have the option to rent horse-drawn carriages or ride elephants around the building for admiration, priced at 400 NT dollars per person for a single ride or 800 NT dollars for two people on one elephant. The park also features a coffee terrace and a massage area for visitors to take a leisurely break.
Thanon Khao San, a bustling urban area, is a popular resting place for backpackers offering various types of accommodations, shops, and bars. Once known as a hippie and backpacker haven, it has now evolved into a more upscale destination while still maintaining its affordable lodging options. The famed Khao San Road. Fills of bars and clubs on both sides of the walking street with some food vendors in between them. Pretty normal during the day but comes alive at night. It could get really crowded at times especially during holidays. Prices of food and drinks are slightly higher because of the popularity. Located within the Grand Palace in Bangkok, Thailand, the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, also known as Wat Phra Kaew, is a must-see attraction. The temple houses a revered 26-inch emerald Buddha statue and is considered one of the most sacred temples in Thailand. Legend has it that this precious statue originated in India and brings prosperity to the countries where it resides.
We were lucky enough to go to the grand palace and the temple of the Emerald Buddha, while Thailand is still empty due to covid restrictions and a slow restart tourism. It was absolutely incredible. There were probably less than 100 people on the entire premises during our visit. It is spectacular and well worth the visit even if the crowds were much denser. If you take the boat, finding entrances somewhat tricky so do your research.

Even as local, I still can't get enough of this temple. It's elegant craft and detail worked that's go into building this temple is absolutely astounding. It can get very how during the day (especially during the Summer) best time to visit is very early in the morning when the temple just open. It's also good to try to avoid the crowds. Make sure to take the time to enjoy the wall painting along the temple.

The time that was taken to construct these temples is heavily felt upon approaching this place. I took advantage of the prayer rooms, the outdoor prayer stations, and taking in the beauty. I met people from all over the world and had great exchanges. As a Christian, I was still able to respect and appreciate another religion and how our beliefs and faith bring us together in such a positive way.
Tips:
-Dress modestly
-Wear socks because some places prohibit shoes
-DO NOT get a Buddha tattoo

Located on a hill with a beautiful location, you can overlook the coastal city of Pattaya. The temple was built with unique architecture and is very typical of Thai culture. Very beautiful and dignified. The tour guide shared about the culture and spiritual beliefs here. The pagoda stands out with a majestic large golden Buddha image. 2 dragons spit out a 7-headed snake. A spiritual place you should visit once!So beautiful!..

Not to be missed when visiting Bangkok. The ticket includes entry to this temple and the Grand Palace (actually this temple is part of the Grand Palace). It includes also a traditional dance show at a nearby theater. It is worth watching it and there are free shuttles just outside the temple. Following Lonely Planet's advice I looked for a guide inside. There were no guides, except for a free tour run by the administration that I believe runs 4 times a day (10, 10:30, and another 2 in the afternoon). Unfortunately, I had hard time understanding the guide (the mask certainly didn't help), so I quit the free tour and followed the free brochure (they have them in several languages) and I was just fine going with that. Most of the people were with guides hired outside the temple and they seemed to do well. It gets quite warm during the day, so my advice is to be there early. There is a lot to see, plan for at least 3-4 hours (combined with the Grand Palace). One more thing, you can't take photos or videos inside the temple.

Was very crowded inside the temple. Would be a good idea to limit the amount of people inside at a time to allow a more enjoyable experience. Prayer can be difficult with everyone trampling around taking selfies and such, not to mention how loud it can be. 5 stars for Buddha, 2 stars for organization.

Everything here is well preserved, the emerald Buddha is kept in the ordination hall or bot.
No photos taken allowed inside the hall so no pictures of Emerald Buddha to share, but it’s magnificent and majestic. I’m proud to be Thai and once in life to visit there.
No shorts 🩳 or revealing outfit allowed there be prepared before step into the temple and after your trip has finished don’t take any taxi 🚖 from there it’s not ordinary taxi the cost way too high I recommend to take a bus go anywhere that far enough from that area then you can take a taxi.
On the way to get there no problem to use taxi or Grab but the way back is super difficult.

If you were to visit only one temple in Bangkok, it might as well be this one. As glamorous and grandiose as a temple can get. Without mentioning the beautiful gardens and scenery.
They change guards periodically and go marching in groups around protecting the palace. As long as you're respectful and don't break any rules, you should have a great time.
And if you happen to be a Buddhist or have similar beliefs, then you'll have a wonderful time.
Even kids might enjoy seeing the giants and sculptures all over the place.
Don't skip on the museum of the Queens fabric. No pictures are allowed on most of the classic dresses and outfits.

Be careful; lots of tuktuk drivers will lie to you and say it’s closed. Just checked their website before and you’ll know for sure.

Iconic tourist destination, filled with Thailand's cultural diversity, stories and much more.
The statues and golden Temple blinking in the mid-day sun is just an amazing sight. You have to look up close at the wall, the pillars, the statues to see the details, the complexity which artists put time into.
Around the main site, there is wall mural with so much stories, arts for you to enjoy. If you want to deeper understand the story behind the mural, rent an audio tour or get a tour guide to tell you its story. Magical.
However, be sure to bring an umbrella or you'll have a head-ache from the sun and the bright view of the golden temple.

Is it nice to visit? Sure. Is it worth 500B? I absolutely don’t believe so, especially for a religious site where Thai residents can enter for free but tourists get overcharged. You will need to wear long pants and cover indecent exposed body parts to enter. There are vendors right outside to sell you those at a marked up price.
Ticket includes free admission to an art museum that closes on certain days and a performance show to a theater nearby where you can get free shuttle to at the exit if you have the ticket. I highly recommend going to the Khao show because it is worth 400Baht alone and would make you feel like the 500Baht entrance ticket is somewhat worth it.
The temple itself is pretty nice to see but it’s very crowded nearly everyday. You can see the palace mansion on your way out. There is also an air conditioned museum on your way out.
This would have a higher rating if not for the overpriced ticket.

I find it difficult to come up with words to describe the experience of visiting this remarkable temple. Its opulence is extraordinary, and yet, upon entering I was filled with a sense of tranquility such as I haven’t felt in a while. Perhaps the sincerity of many of those who entered to worship had its effect on me. Regardless, this is a temple that must be experienced to be understood. No photos are allowed in the interior. I believe that’s the way it should be.

One of the most important and significant Buddhist temples in Bangkok and throughout Thailand, this sacred site draws locals who come to pray with white flowers. I found this tradition truly admirable during my visit to the temple. Moreover, the atmosphere inside was incredibly serene!
The artworks adorning the inner walls are truly astonishing and one could easily spend half an hour simply admiring them. However, it's important to note that using a camera inside the temple is strictly prohibited. The Emerald Buddha Idol, a divine masterpiece, left me in awe. Knowing that such a beautiful artistic, cultural, and religious relic originated from India filled me with a sense of pride as an Indian. (information sourced from the internet) Situated within the Grand Palace complex, this temple is accessible with the same ticket purchased for entry to the Grand Palace.

Yes, this is a must visit. Visiting the Palace is a buy-one-get-two event. In actuality, you'll probably spend more time in the religious portion of the palace (~10% of the site) than in the remainder of the grounds. There is enough to see to keep you busy for a few hours. And it is worth the hours! You will need a map to explore all the nooks and crannies. We walked the entire wall, looking at the artwork. You may want to bone up on your Hindu mythology; there are a lot of mystical creatures and magical bows. Expert tips - Yes, gentlemen do need long pants, which are available on premises, and cheaper (with better variety) if you buy them at a local shop. There is only one entry up on the NE corner of the walled complex. Google Maps show it correctly. I would not try to visit another site on the same day - a walk through, especially on a hot day, is more than enough. I'd recommend staying up in Khao San Road for a few days and visiting the other major sites in the "old city" at a more relaxed pace.

Excellent experience overall, understand how rich Thailand culture and experience their history, Buddhism and architecture marvels. Emerald Buddha temple is huge and you feel very pleasant near the shrine of lord Buddha and the historic events carved around the temple walls. Outside of the temple has these emeralds, gems stone carved into the walls makes it more amazing. When you visit Bangkok this temple is a must to be in the list. If you are a historic person then must have. You can visit with family and kids. Buy the tickets at the temple, if you are a foreigner, the cost is 500 Bahts and get access to Emerald Buddha temple, Grand palace and Queen museum of arts and fashion.

Very nice Temple, it was the first temple that we visited in Bangkok from the list of 5, by far the nicest one. I really like that you have to take off your shoes before going inside the temple and they even show in front at the entry in the temple that you should not point your feet to Buddha.
The premises are wide, and there are lots of things to see, but it is very crowded.
We bought the tickets online so it was bit fast for us, they just had to scan it and in we were.

The Grand Palace, a historic complex in Bangkok, was established in 1782 and is now open to the public as a museum. It features over 100 buildings constructed over two centuries, including Wat Phra Kaew, which houses the revered Emerald Buddha. The palace grounds are expansive and showcase stunning golden palaces, intricate Buddha statues, and more than 50 temples.
The dazzling, spectacular Grand Palace is undoubtedly the most famous landmark in Bangkok. It’s one must-see sight that no visit to the city would be complete without. It was built in 1782 and for 150 years was the home of the Thai King, the Royal court and the administrative seat of government.
The Grand Palace of Bangkok is a grand old dame indeed, that continues to have visitors in awe with its beautiful architecture and intricate detail, all of which is a proud salute to the creativity and craftsmanship of the Thai people. Within its walls were also the Thai war ministry, state departments, and even the mint. Today, the complex remains the spiritual heart of the Thai Kingdom.

It's beautiful. The entry ticket is 500 baht. It includes the cost for 3 things. 1 of these things is at another location. The ticket is valid for 1 day for the grand palace and as far as I can remember, for 7 days for the other 2 things. It's better to keep 2 days to complete the grand palace visit. Unfortunately I went there on the last day of my tour and was able to see just the grand palace. The textile museum is also nice.

Amazing, lots of history and culture all in one place. The detail, and the vibrant colours are just superb. Well worth the 500 Baht. Only drawback is that it is so popular that you are always competing for space, or waiting for others to finish to take a photo, or having people walk into your shots.

Bangkok is one of the famous and attractive places among tourists and it is one of the highly recommended place for its tourist places.
Bangkok has so many places to offer and the list is so big that you can not finish in one tour. Among them few things you can not miss you you are in Bangkok.
Grand palace is one the places which you can not miss if your are planning your trip to Bangkok.
The Grand palace is basically the home of the king of the Bangkok and it is very nicely maintained. The place is full of the temples and the King palace with well decorated with varieties flower trees.
For locals it is free but chargeable for the foreigners.
Also to mention do not wear short dresses if you wish to go inside the compound.
We recommend to visit this place if you are in Bangkok trip.

It was a bit crowded on the day I attended, but that is to be expected at mid-day. Beautiful grounds, featuring artful topiary, breathtaking architecture, and the most epic tapestry that I have ever seen. It's definitely worth a visit, even if you're only in Bangkok for a couple of days.

Beautiful place. Very clean. It'll easily take you 2 hours to look around. Wear appropriate clothes. No sleeveless & shorts. Get Thai style coffee next to the ticket counter. It's delicious
niharika bhide — Google review
Overall, it was a majestic experience. I highly recommend anyone visiting to borrow an umbrella near the ticket counter upon entering, trust me, it's a lifesaver against the scorching heat. The heat literally burns you. Don't forget sunscreen too.
The palace complex is vast and filled with rich history and intricate details, especially the murals that tell many captivating stories. To fully appreciate the art and architecture, consider getting a guide. While there's a counter providing free tour guides in various languages, I found that the English-speaking guides were not as fluent as I had hoped, making it tough to follow along with the history being shared. it would be wise to find a proficient tour guide or to do some research before your visit. you'll be able to fully immerse yourself in the grandeur and storied past of these temples and palace . Oh , and when you're done, the umbrella can be easily returned at a booth near the exit, which is quite convenient.
All in all, the Grand Palace is a remarkable site that you shouldn't miss when in Thailand. Just come prepared and you'll have a much more enjoyable and educational visit. 5 stars for the overall experience!

Always nice for a wander when you are in Bangkok. The buildings are stunning. Very quiet at the moment so taking decent pictures is relatively easy. Bought tickets online which was easy although still had to line up in the same place at the entrance.

Beautiful architecture in the heart of the city. We went as part of the temple and palace tour and had a guide with us. Would highly recommend taking a guided tour. The dress code is very strict. The ticket for tourists is Baht500 per person.

Stepping into the Grand Palace of Bangkok is like stepping into a fairytale. The intricate details of the architecture and the vibrant colors of the buildings are breathtaking. The palace is a true testament to the rich history and culture of Thailand. The Temple of the Emerald Buddha is a must-see, with its stunning gold-plated exterior and intricate carvings. The palace grounds are vast and offer plenty of opportunities for exploration. It's easy to get lost in the beauty of the Grand Palace and forget about the outside world. A visit here is truly an unforgettable experience.

Great place to visit. A lot of cultural significance, past residence of past kings. It has a lot of history for Thailand. Worth a visit but foreigners have to pay to enter. The most important emerald/jade Buddha is placed in one of the temples, and the architecture was great. No shoes entering the temple, have to wear long pants and no sleeveless.
Wai Qian Tham — Google review
Absolutely stunning. Lovey to walk around in the middle of a busy city and feel like your in a super calm environment. It’s busy but it still felt spacious once your inside.
500 baht for entry and then your set.
Make sure you take pants that cover full legs, or there is a shop at entrance that sell for 200 baht a piece.

Grand Palace is super huge and stunning place for sure!
When you visit Grand Palace make sure that you have time, it easily takes 2 3 hours for me to discover! (I didn't discover everything) 😁
I highly recommend anyone to visit during your time in Bangkok.
Ticket costs 500 baht and you can easily buy from entrance.
NOTE:
Since the weather is very hot and humid in Bangkok, you will wear shorts but don't forget that you are not allowed to visit Grand Palace with shorts, you need to wear long pants and if you didn't bring anything there are shops just cross the road, you can buy pants for very cheap like 100-200 baht. It's very comfortable and you can visit all the temples with it too.

My first impression about this place is “ Wow, i guess that’s the richest king for you” 🤣🤑🤑🤑 I can feel the wealthy vibes all around this place. And I wonder where the royal family residing now if the palace become tourist attraction. It’s majestic and well maintained. I just can’t handle the heat. Please visit earlier in the morning or better in the late afternoon and bring your iced thai tea, electric fan or you can also rent umbrella there.

Stunning buildings & architecture at The Grand Palace. We arrived here at approx 10am & it was very busy & very hot. TIP: make sure you have some water, a hat & sunscreen with you. Also check to ensure you have the correct attire to enter or you will be made to buy clothing in order to enter. We collected a free map inside & also signed up for a free tour in English, which lasted approx 30 minutes & provided you with some interesting historical facts. Well worth a visit.

Due to the pandemic there were hardly any visitors here and so there was time and space to enjoy it fully. Beware of scams and sellers around the place. Just ignore whatever they tell you. Remember to dress properly or you will have to buy some ridiculous body coverings. The palace is amazing and a must see place. Good to get a guide book to appreciate it fully. Buy tickets online to save time.

It is huge place and very calming when we entered the temple. The entry fees is applicable. I don't remember the price right now. Take an umbrella with you when its sunny . It will help to walk around the huge area in the premises. Water is available inside temple on payment.
Side note 😇:
My friend said If we wish there for something it would get complete one day for sure so I stayed and wished. She is very precious to me 🫰

All the temples here are beautifully maintained. You should bring sunnies and umbrella also a lot of patience as the place has a lot of people visiting everyday and the temperature is so hot and humid. Recommended if it’s your first time in Thailand like me.

The temple is beautiful, but not large in area. The entrance ticket costs 500 baht. But we were lucky that the ticket price also included a trip to the theater and an entrance ticket to the art museum. When in Bangkok you should definitely visit it.

Can't get enough of the breathtaking beauty of this place! 🤩✨ The Grand Palace of Thailand has been the official residence of the Kings of Thailand since 1782. The king, his court, and his royal government were based on the grounds of the palace until 1925. Don’t forget to explore the rich history and grandeur of this iconic landmark when you visit Thailand! 🏰🇹🇭

The view of the palace buildings in Thailand style architecture, all ornamented colorfully, right in the entrance, is just stunning and eye catching. People just kept taking pictures around, trying to find the best angle to catch the impressive view of the palaces, statues, columns and the towers.
The place was very crowded with many tour groups, each one with its own guide, all of them shouting quite loudly, to explain the characteristics of the buildings to their group.
The entrance fee is 500 baht.
When going back to the hotel, taxis around this place were asking abusive fixed price for the ride, much more expensive than when arrived there.
It is better to take a bus, in a bus stop near to the exit.
JB Lee — Google review
What a magnificent place to visit. There was a good size crowd to get in, but it was only a short wait for the tickets and the queue was moving quickly to enter the Palace grounds.
Dress code is strictly adhered to, but vendors outside can provide you with the necessary cover, at a premium price, if you are unaware or forget to dress appropriately.
Can get scorching hot inside as there is little air circulating and a lack of shade from the sun. Taking water is definitely worthwhile on a hot sunny day.
There is a free bust to transfer you to the free cultural dance performance at the theatre. The show starts at 1pm and you really need to be at the Palace exit where the buses are by 12.45

"Visiting the Grand Palace of Bangkok was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I stepped onto the grounds, I was captivated by the intricate architecture, rich history, and stunning craftsmanship. Google Maps made navigating the sprawling complex a breeze, guiding me seamlessly through the maze of ornate buildings, shimmering temples, and lush gardens. Thanks to detailed directions and real-time updates, I was able to make the most of my visit, exploring every corner with ease. Whether you're a history buff, architecture enthusiast, or simply looking to immerse yourself in Thai culture, the Grand Palace is a must-see destination, and Google Maps is the perfect companion for your journey. Five stars without hesitation!" 💯💯🇹🇭

I think everyone must see The Grand Palace at least once. I really enjoyed looking at the architecture.
First - cover shoulders and legs, men must wear trousers.
Two - avoid the tour guides at the front gate unless you want one (you buy your own ticket once inside), just walk through and the guards will wave you through security after checking that you are dressed appropriately.
Three - there is a machine you can buy tickets with card if you want to avoid the line at the booth.
Four - there are drink stalls at the beginning, middle and a cafe at the end.
Five - the first gold part with beautiful art is only the beginning, keep walking and you will get to the rest of the complex.

Worth to visit as you can see the building built with unique architecture and specific details structures in every building. One thing is you can not wear the short pants or skirt inside if you’re wearing that, you need to buy the clothes that they sell in the entrance to cover yourself for the girls. It’s better to bring your own water there and hat as usually so hot there. 🤩

The place is absolutely amazing, buildings are gorgeous, a real feast for the eye. There's no question of visiting it or not when in Bangkok, it's a hard yes. Not giving 5 stars because if you're not part of a guided tour, there's absolutely no information for the visitor. And facilities like toilets need an upgrade.

Easily spent half a day here. We opted for the free English tour which you join inside. It helps to have read a bit of the history of the palace before hand. In some of the buildings you need to take off your shoes before entering. Definitely need a hat and sunglasses when wandering around outside.

An absolute must-see in Bangkok. It is a magnificent place full of art and beauty. You will want to stay inside for hours. There are many things to see, and everything is so pristine that it feels unreal. The ticket is a bit expensive but it also offers the entrance to a dance show which is fantastic and you can return to the Palace if you wish another time. I personally loved it, and I would no doubt recommend this place to anyone coming to Bangkok. I got the audio guide, which was very useful to understand everything. To enter one of the main temples, you need to remove your shoes.

Phra Borom Maha Ratchawang, Phra Nakhon, Bangkok 10200, Thailand
Wat Phra Chetuphon Wimon Mangkhalaram Rajwaramahawihan, also known as the Temple of the Reclining Buddha, is a significant landmark temple in Thailand. The temple grounds offer a serene atmosphere and are home to a massive 46-meter-long reclining Buddha statue. Visitors can explore historic art, statues, and colorful murals depicting over 400 images of the Buddha. Additionally, the temple houses a traditional Thai massage school.
A safe, religious and wonderful environment amidst the crowded passages around. Wat Pho is a very energetic, historical place and the presence of Buddhists in this place has made it a special place for foreign tourists. This is a spiritual space, but full of color. When I was here for photography, I was very surprised by the cleanliness and beauty of all the structures in this place. If you are going to Bangkok as an active tourist, I suggest you go to this lovely place
Alireza Akhlaghi — Google review
The highlight of this temple is the giant golden 150 feet long reclining Buddha. The surroundings of the temple have a few pagodas and Wat Pho is just within walking distance (approximately a 10-minute walk) from the Grand Palace.
Wat Pho is now a center for traditional massage and medicine but was the first public university in Thailand to focus on religion and literature back then.
Other than the reclining Buddha and pagodas, there is nothing much to explore in this temple. It is advisable for visitors to strictly follow the dress code for any temple in Thailand including Wat Pho. Women must wear skirts or pants extending at least to the knee and strictly not wear a top that reveals bare shoulders.

Really pretty temple especially near sunset and it felt really tranquil too, very low traffic noises. However try to leave some extra time so that you can visit the other temple across the river as both close at 6pm. Ladies can enter the vicinity but if you wanna see the giant reclining Buddha or the prayer room you have to have a cover for your shoulders, there are some shawls that you can borrow at these entrances for free and make sure to return it when you’re done.

A must do visit. The reclining golden Buddha in Bangkok is an amazing sight. 200 THB admission fee to enter the premises. Stunning Buddha, 46 metres in length & 15 metres in height, which just about fits in the building. Lots of other smaller Buddha's & historical pictures & ornaments in the surrounding buildings. Do make sure you wear appropriate clothing when you visit!

The vibe is extremely positive here and it’s a must visit place as this is one of the tourist attraction. This place is maintained well and is neat. There’s a separate place to offer prayers and to burn incense sticks. Burn incense sticks only in the dedicated area allotted.
If you are buying a small Lord Buddha statue, do not place it down as this is considered disrespectful and please maintain dress code here as you will be asked to otherwise no entry into the temple.
If wearing clothing which has Buddha print on it then the entry into the temple is barred.
Please dress appropriately.

A wonderful temple. Thailand's cultural heritage is as always fascinating and awe-inspiring. The territory of the temple is quite large, it will probably take about one and a half hours to appreciate all the sights. I liked the mosaic structures in the courtyard of the temple and the interior painting of the temples and the variety of statues the most. Well, of course, the statue of the reclining Buddha looks very cool, as well as the painting on his feet. The entrance ticket costs 200 baht, also with the entrance ticket you can get a free bottle of water from the machine.

This is a buddhist temple that has a huge reclining Buddha statue. Make sure you dress properly.
The entrance ticket is THB 200.
Before you enter the temple, the officer will bring you a bag to keep your shoes/sandals.
You can make donation to in the entrance of the temple. The officer will give you some coins and you can put the coin one by one to the bowl around the statue and get the Buddha wise quote in the end.

The Reclining Buddha at Wat Pho is an amazing sight. The figure is 46m long and 15m high, making it the largest reclining Buddha in Thailand. It symbolizes the moment when Buddha entered Nirvana, marking the culmination of all reincarnations.🤩✨All over the temple complex you will see the The 99 Pagodas and numerous Buddhas everywhere. The temple complex is massive so make sure that you don’t miss any buildings or landmarks. Very unforgettable experience for me.

One of the best temples I’ve seen on my trip so far. The 4 pagoda are beautiful and you get to see the giant lying Buddha up close. Gong banging included in price which is 300 baht per person - this is more expensive than advertised but definitely worth it for how large the premises is and how well maintained everything is

Nice temple and near to the grand palace.
You need to wear proper clothes like no shorts, no revealing clothes ( above the knee, tube).
You need to take hat and umbrellas with you as the temperature is very hot and humid.
Advisable also to take extra shirts/clothes because you will sweat a lot and your clothes will get wet in just for few minutes!!!
Anyways, nice to visit when around the area.

The lying Buddha what a spectacular piece of architecture. In and around the area including the royal palace is 60 acres in size omg. Other smaller rooms with many statues of the Buddas era. Lots of history backing to 1800’s. Must place to visit weekday was quiet.. Was getting busier later as we left for the mall.

We reached this place just before closing. The place shuts by 6:30. Because of this reason we got a very peaceful experience with very very little crowds. The budha statue is huge, and the scale can be experienced only in person. It is very hard to understand the scale from a photo. The place has a lot of cats also. This one of my favourite places in Bangkok.

Probably the only temple you need to visit. It is preferable to start the visit at 9am. Your bus crowds start pouring at 9am and the temple grounds gets very noisy and busy. Not a relaxing experience. The temple visit will take about an hour. Photography is allowed.

This temple is famous for its Reclining Buddha and located near Grand palace so that you may make plan to visit altogether in a same day.
Reclining Buddha is so big that we cannot see it at once and have to see it part by part. There are some spaces inside to view the part of it and you have to make a queue and wait until enjoying or taking pictures of it. I think building for this huge Buddha is so small that it is really crowded (hot as well).
Along with the size of this sculpture, it is also quite unique to enjoy the impressive patterns in his soles. Worth a visit if you visit Grand palace or place near this temple.

It is an interesting place to visit since it is big and stunning with beautiful structures. There are many super adorable cats here as well 🐈⬛🐈
Traditional Thai Massage is available
However it is very hot and full of tourists - big tour groups 🥵 Bring umbrella, fan and water 💦
Some of the tourists do not take off the shoes before entering the temple, as they did not observe the signage. This is frowned upon in Asia but there is no staff to advise them to take off their shoes.

Wat Pho is one of the most amazing temples we have visited. It’s must see. Make sure to bring a bottle water as you will spend hours there. Beautiful temple, open later than some of the smaller temples (closes 1930). Also known as temple of the reclining Buddha. It's actually a huge complex with multiple ornate buildings and stupas which are lit up at night. Spectacular to see day or night, can walk the grounds after 1700, but most of the buildings will be closed. 300B for entry.

This temple, in contrast to the bustling crowds at Wat Arun or The Grand Palace, offers a serene experience with plenty to explore. Personally, I found great enjoyment in my visit here.
The Reclining Buddha’s immense size makes it a challenge to capture the entire statue in a single photo. You can also spend 20 baht to get a cup of coins, and then putting coins into a queue of bowls.
The temple's layout is impressive, featuring four sets of towers positioned in different directions, each comprising four beautifully designed towers. Navigating through these architectural wonders is a visual treat.
Be prepared for a brief wait to enter the main prayer room as there is usually a queue outside. However, the experience inside is worth the wait.
To keep visitors hydrated, there's a convenient free water fountain on the premises. Overall, this temple provides a quieter yet enriching alternative, with its unique attractions and thoughtful amenities making it a delightful stop on your itinerary.

Stunningly beautiful temple! Visited at 8AM, minimal crowds for great photos. Pair with the royal palace or Wat Arun. Entry for foreigners is 300 THB, but worth it. Spend 1-2 hours exploring the grounds and architecture.
Ramayana Water Park is a sprawling family-friendly park located in the Silver Lake area, covering 184000 square meters. It offers an array of fifty water rides, including high-speed slides and lazy rivers. The park features three food centers with cabanas and bars suitable for all ages, as well as a stage for occasional celebrity performances.
I liked it a lot. People here saying it's a little bit expensive, but I don't think so. Just think of all the water, electricity, staff... Therefore it's totally fair. The staff was very friendly and helpful at any time. Silders are great, for small and big people, everyone can enjoy. One of my favourite was the freefall, cannot describe the feeling of the free fall....maybe only 1-2 seconds, but absoluty amazing. Totally recoy!

The water park was clean, it fits into Thai nature. It was beautiful to look at and some places were also good for relaxation.
I would not recommend buying a cabin (cabanas) - it is an ordinary cabin that is usually located right next to a busy place (where a lot of people move).
As for the toboggan and slides. They were fun and the staff were nice too. But most of the attractions didn't last extra long, Just few seconds. But I didn't mind and I still enjoyed it.
We recommend using water shoes!! After days of walking on non-slip roads, your feet will hurt!
It was nice to charge money on your QR code bracelet! I recommend buying tickets online! You have a 10% discount here.

We had an enjoyable afternoon here, entry pricing is reasonable considering what is available, lockers linked to your entry wristband means it is very secure and adding money to your wristband makes it easy to spend money.
The various slides have advertised closing times but what they don’t say is that entry is closed earlier than this. On the day we were there 2 rides were shut completely 45mins before advertised and 2 rides had their entry closed 45mins before they were advertised to be closed. You should make it clear exactly when entry to the slides actually stops.
The other thing that was disappointing was the ice cream parlour we ordered from. Both of us ordered waffle cones, the staff seemed to have no idea how to make what we ordered, what they made looked nothing like what we ordered and it took nearly 15mins to serve them (waffle maker seemed to be the issue). Photos attached.

Pros: Great fun for kids and adults. Not too crowded even holidays season on Jan.
Cons:
- Can't bring bottled water, but you can bring your own personal water. What sense is that?
- The photos their staff took for you is NOT FREE despite signs everywhere that state's free. In my country it would be misleading consumers, bait advertising which is illegal. Cost 400 Baht per photo or 1000 Baht for all photos in digital forms.
- 50% of the staff are not friendly and/or helpful!
- We should be given map of the park upon entry.

Great water park! We went on a Friday in the beginning of September at 11:30am and stayed until 5:30pm, and we saw maybe three other families the whole time! No lines at all.
Great selection of rides, a nice long lazy river, pool for different small obstacles, a pool for swimming/floating on a tube, really friendly staff, and good value to rent a cabana for the day to have a more private place to relax (700 baht). You need to also rent a locker to store your valuables for the day. They don’t allow food or drink into the park, and you load money onto one persons wrist band, to pay for food/drink throughout the day.
Overall, great experience, we stayed until opening to close! Would absolutely return

Fun Water Park Experience with Reasonably Priced Food and Drinks
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4/5)
Review: During my recent visit to Ramayana Water Park in Pattaya, I had a great time enjoying the various rides and attractions. Although the park shows its age in some areas, the overall experience was fun and enjoyable.
The park offers a good selection of rides that cater to different age groups and preferences. From thrilling water slides to relaxing lazy rivers, there's something for everyone. I particularly enjoyed the variety of rides available, and the park's cleanliness was well-maintained.
The food and drinks at Ramayana Water Park are reasonably priced, which was a pleasant surprise. It's refreshing to find affordable options within a theme park setting. I had the chance to try some snacks and drinks, and they were satisfying and value for money.
Unfortunately, the pool party was closed during my visit. However, the owners made up for it by offering a free soft drink or water as compensation. I found this gesture to be thoughtful and customer-oriented.
To make the most of your visit, I recommend buying tickets in advance to skip any potential queues. When I arrived at the park around its opening time at 11 am, there wasn't much of a queue at all. However, during peak times, having pre-purchased tickets will save you time and ensure a smoother entry.
Ramayana Water Park attracts a lot of tourists, so expect to see a decent crowd. Despite that, the park is spacious enough to accommodate everyone comfortably.
In conclusion, Ramayana Water Park in Pattaya offers a fun day out with a variety of rides and attractions. The food and drinks are reasonably priced, and the owners' gesture to compensate for the closed pool party was appreciated. If you plan to visit, consider purchasing tickets in advance to save time. It's a great place to cool off and enjoy some water-themed fun!

What a beautiful water park. This place felt like you were in the Northern Italy, lush greenery, hillside and vineyards, views from the tops of slides, spectacular. Park itself really serene, spotless and so large, felt very spacious. The staff were absolutely fantastic, safety seemed on point, not always a priority in Thailand! Good price for residents even if not Thai, and super shuttle bus into the city.. oh, and food was good too...xx

Most of the slides have a height requirement of 122 and minimum weight of 45 kg. Compared to Vana nava in Hua Hin the slides are a bit gentler and not too high. My two girls (8 and 6) could ride the slides by themselves if they sit together in a two seats ring.
There’s a big section for kids with lots of slides. We had a blast that day. Really recommend the place if you like water parks.
Nicha Ersblad — Google review
Expansive beautiful water park, full of greenery, maintained very well, we were seniors so just experienced the pools not the slides. The pools and surrounding areas has non slip flooring. Toilets clean, food and drink facilities well distributed around with a wide variety of food available. Beer and water is expensive at 149 THB for 300 ml and 30 THB for 500 ml respectfully. Opens 11 to 6. But IMO a 10 to 5 timing would be better.

The place is nice but they need to reduce the price for kids & need to give offers same as thai people its a business part of life style. If you has booking and your made mistake they don’t consider you made a mistake. The staff need to understand gusts requirement’s

A great place to spend a day. Very clean, lots to do for every age group.
Senior citizens above 60 it's free. You cannot take any food items even water, inside.
They check your bags and if you have any food or water, they will put in a bag, keep in a locker and when you leave they give back.
You have to buy everything from the stalls and Restaurant inside

In this water park, I had a great time. The blue rocket slide was my favourite part of the slides. I always went straight to the slide and didn't wait long for them. very strongly recommended 🔥🫡

This water park was clean and big and also very beautiful!
You can spend your time with water slides and foam party and other water activities here.
But the water should be colder and they should control the temperature of water!
The available options were not that attractive to me!

This is a really great place, really impressed. Very clean and well maintained and it’s a very pleasant setting with a lot of greenery everywhere and plenty of seating and shade. It’s very well staffed and professional, and the rides are of course great fun. There is something for all ages. Food selection is varied and all very good quality… much much better than the overpriced low quality food you get in a UK theme park. Very well run place… highly recommend it!

Wat Arun Ratchawararam Ratchawaramahawihan, also known as the Temple of Dawn, is a grand Buddhist temple situated on the west side of the Chaophraya River in Thonburi, Bangkok. Its iconic central spire is adorned with intricate tiles and stands out with its colorful and detailed design. The temple's history dates back to King Taksin's restoration in 1768, giving it a significant place in Thai heritage.
This temple is the highlight of Bangkok and maybe Thailand, and rightly so. The site is compact, so during busy tourist hours, it gets very crowded. Better visit early in the morning or just right before sunset as the air is more chill. There aren’t any roof so if it gets rained, then… oh well.
I wish there are more stories about the temple other than just a paragraph or two posted outside the temple.

Cool place. I am very glad that Thailand has such a respectful attitude towards its rich culture. The entire territory of the temple looks very beautiful and well-kept. The skill and imagination of the sculptors amazes me. The entrance ticket costs 100 baht, and also at the entrance, all visitors are given a bottle of water along with the ticket. You can also get to the other side of the river by boat for just 5 baht. I recommend to try to see the beauty of the temple when you cross the river by boat.

Great place to visit, not expensive (100 thb cash) and complimentary water is included with your ticket. We had to take the boat to and from the temple which was easy enough. Make sure to walk fully around as there is more to it than the main temple. You can hire traditional this outfits to be photographed in which seemed popular

Wat Arun is absolutely a place you should visit when in Bangkok. I arrived before sunset, around 5 pm, as they close at 6 pm. It’s on Friday. Be ready for crowds if you come around this time. The weather is already not too hot, and the sky displays its prettiest blue and yellow colors. Outside the entrance gate, you'll find many shops that rent traditional clothes for taking pictures, all of them beautiful. The temple has many intricate details. As the sun sets, the sky transitions from orange to pinkish-purple. It’s also recommended to observe this temple during sunset time as it looks majestic.

Wat Arun is a jewel of the architecture so characteristic of Thailand. The temple, according to the luminosity, to appear white and all in embroidery with the many details which decorate it. It's rather extended and it's necessary to think of going on the right of the temple when one is in front of it, there are splendid Buddhas to be discovered and other temples in the complex.
I strongly advise to go there early in the morning because it's quickly taken by many instagrammers who spend hours to be taken in pictures at the same place, making then the taking of picture of the temple complicated ...

One of the most iconic temple in Bangkok. It is a very beautiful and spectacular temple. It is best taken pictures during sun rise or sun set. It is very well maintained cleanliness. This temple can get very touristy as it is very photogenic temple. So ensure to get there early to avoid the crowds. At the entry of the main temple there are many tourist dresses in traditional Thai dress, so at time it get difficult to take pictures on the lawn of the temple.
Katethip Varanyuwatana — Google review
Love the temple and the overall experience. The temple are actively used so there will be some sections that is forbidden to enter. There's a market here selling Thailand souvenirs like shirts, fridge magnets and key chains. The temple is so magnificent and beautiful, as the restoration was recently completed in 2017. There is also a costume rental for tourists that wants to get photographed in traditional Thai attires.
Tamado Sitohang — Google review
Incredible architecture. The temples were well maintained and so rich in history. I think they did a great job with ensuring that the temple remains a place of worship for locals yet a place for tourists to experience and learn about their religion, culture and history. Guides are available (might be at a cost). Tickets were 100 baht each.
Tips for visitors,
1. Bring a hat or umbrella - it's really sunny
2. Follow temple rules on proper attire - If you need a long skirt or shawl for covering up, you can borrow one from the temple.
3. Wear easy to slip on and off shoes - you'll be required to take off your footwear to enter the temples
4. At the exit, you can take a boat across the river to visit another famous temple.

Beautiful Buddhist temple. Very easy to get to from across the river by ferry. The ferry leaves every 5 minutes and costs only 5 baht. Extremely popular but still easy to visit with no waiting. The ticket price of 100 baht includes a small bottle of water. Clean restrooms are available on the premises.

This place (can be) crowded. However, this is actually a cool temple. Yes it costs a little to get it, but it's really worth the view. You can pay a little extra and dress up in a period costume for some pictures, however given how crowded it is, be prepared to share your photo with about 5000 of your newest best friends. The steps are very step, be careful! You want to also be aware that, given the amount of people here, you need to watch your wallet. Also some people are more concerned with getting a good photo than they are with their own personal safety, as a result on these steep steps; accidents can happen. There's a gift shop inside, but most of the food and drinks are more expensive than outside.

Wat Arun Temple in Bangkok is undeniably stunning with its intricate architecture and rich cultural significance. However, the overwhelming crowds can diminish the overall experience, making it challenging to fully appreciate the serene beauty of this historical site. Consider visiting during off-peak hours for a more tranquil visit.

Although I waited for while to visit Wat Arun, I'm happy that I was able to make time to share my experience with a childhood friend. There is so much to take in here. The ground are quite expansive and the buildings too numerous to list. It is best to look at my photos since a picture is worth a thousand words. We arrived early in the day to avoid the heat since there is not a lot of shade to protect you from the searing sun. There are drinks and ice blocks available to cool give you a respite while waiting for your return boat to your point of departure.

This is one of the must-see temples in Bangkok. It’s very well kept and there are events held in the evening on the temple grounds. There are a few shops selling traditional Thai dresses for women and there are several boat docks that can take passengers to the other side of the river for a cheap price. The temple itself is beautiful and you can ascend the main central spire to get a good look at the Buddha relics within and the surrounding area. I would definitely recommend checking this place out on your trip to Bangkok.

This is one of the best landmarks in Bangkok. Wat Arun also known as Temple of the Dawn. You need to cross the river to visit this place where you need to spend 10 baht to and fro. This is the place having relics of the budhha. The architecture is stunningly beautiful. One should visit and have lots of photos. This place ticket price is 100 baht for foreigners.

Gorgeous temple and grounds. Give yourself an hour to be able to meander and explore every angle properly. Fairly busy but still incredible to see and find your picture spot. We did this on the way to grand palace since the stop there from the river is closed. You have to come to Wat Arun and transfer to a short river cross to get to the palace.

A beautiful and unusual temple, mainly outdoors. A real must see and the traditionally dressed Thai visitors bring some amazing additional colour to the temple. You cannot go to the top but it has so much detail to admire its still a definite place to visit.

Must visit Wat Arun when you are in Bangkok! Entry free cost $200 baht and they close at 6pm. Seeing the temple in person upclose is truly extraordinary and also awe inspiring from afar during sunset when the temple lights up.
Really busy and there are a lot of costume rental stores nearby that you can dress up for $150 baht and hiring a photographer is additional!

Wat Arun, also known as the Temple of Dawn, is a temple that you should not miss. However, I am giving it only a three-star.
Pros:
Wat Arun boasts a striking and iconic structure, best appreciated from the boat as you cross the river. The temple's exterior is adorned with vibrant porcelain tiles and seashells, forming a captivating mosaic that glimmers in the sunlight. The central prang (tower), surrounded by four smaller prangs, stands tall and invites visitors to climb its steep stairs for panoramic views of the river and city.
After you purchased a ticket, they stamp your wrist and give you a complimentary bottle of water, a thoughtful touch that sets Wat Arun apart from other famous sites in Bangkok..
You can also borrow traditional Thai clothes and even hire a professional photographer to help you get the best pics once in Wat Arun.
Cons:
This site is pretty small and it becomes way too crowded once most of the visitors have photographers taking photos for them. It is difficult to enjoy the place if you are constantly reminded by others “not to block the photographer”.
One improvement could be providing more detailed explanations about the temple beyond its physical structure. This would enhance visitors' understanding of the historical and cultural significance of the site.
For those who are not going to hire a photographer, 30-35 minutes may suffice to explore Wat Arun. Despite the drawbacks, the temple's stunning architecture, the unique mosaic, and the opportunity for panoramic views make it a worthwhile visit. Consider visiting during less crowded times to fully appreciate its beauty and historical value.

The famous tourist attraction Sunrise temple.
Free entry.
I suggest more safety precautions such as wearing a safety belt or helmet etc. are required for those who wants to go up to pagoda/prang(very high and very steep stairs) .

One of the lost beautiful places we've been so far, the attention to detail and these buildings is something else. Extremely hot day but well worth it as you nip in and out of different temples and see the amazing sights from thousands of years ago! It almost takes your breath away see how high the buildings are and how steep the steps are, one of our favourite places of the day
James Hinchliffe — Google review
A very famous temple in Bangkok so when you visit you will see a lot of tourists. The pagoda has many tall towers with very steep steps. The highest ancient towers of the pagoda are only accessible on the lower floors, the entrance to the upper floors is locked. Here, many female tourists rent ancient Thai costumes to wear for photos for 300Bath. Entrance fee to visit the temple is 200Bath. Boat ticket from BTS station is 30Bath/way. The worshiping areas are located behind the main pagoda. The architecture of the worship area is beautifully plated with gold. However, the boat waiting area is a bit small and cramped. In Thailand monks are highly respected. On public transportation, monks are always given the highest priority.

Visiting the Big Buddha Temple in Bangkok is an experience that stays with you. From the moment my friend and I set foot on the temple grounds, we were swept away by the serenity and beauty that enveloped us. The temple, also known as Wat Phra Yai, houses an enormous golden Buddha statue that is not only a testament to religious devotion but also a masterpiece of Thai craftsmanship. Standing at an impressive height and visible from miles away, it dominates the landscape with a calm yet majestic aura.
The temple is nestled on a hill, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding area. The journey up the steps to the Big Buddha is a spiritual ascent into a realm of peace and contemplation. The atmosphere is thick with the scent of incense and the sounds of distant chants, which enhances the sense of spirituality that permeates the place.
The architecture of the temple, with its intricate designs and traditional Thai elements, is a visual treat. The Buddha itself is a sight to behold, with each detail of the statue meticulously crafted, radiating a sense of inner peace that is almost tangible.
What made the visit truly memorable was the warm hospitality of the locals and the monks who maintain the temple. They share stories and insights about the temple’s history and significance, which enriches the visit far beyond a simple tourist experience.
The Big Buddha Temple is not just a place to visit; it's a place to experience tranquility, reflect on life, and appreciate the beauty that human faith and artistry can create. For anyone traveling to Bangkok, this is a must-visit destination that offers a unique blend of spiritual enrichment and cultural exploration.

If you want to find a garden or somewhere to look at flowers, this is the perfect place, especially for tourists. This place is one of the top 4 gardens in the world.
As an American, I will come here every time for my visit. There are millions of trees and flowers to see. For the whole day, it might take 3 to 4 hours to walk and see the whole thing.

What a wonderful place to be at. It's easily one of the most wonderful and beautiful gardens in the world. Beautiful and well thought of gardens and absolutely fantastic dinosaur valley for both young and old. The place is so clean and one can also purchase food and drinks here with a large seating area. My family and I loved every moment of it. Spent a couple of hours here and would have been there longer, but it got too hot and humid to proceed any further. It is certainly worth the visit and would definitely be back here as there's so much more to view and explore. Highly recommended.

Absolutely loved it here. Well deserved top 10 of the world's most beautiful gardens. Spent quite a few hours wandering around jumoi g on and off the tour bus was a great way to really see any particular area without having to pound to many pavements.
The cacti garden was just beautiful.
Dinosaur valley was great the kids both young and old would love it.
The garden centre was very reasonable.
The butterfly garden was having a new model added to it but beautiful area all the same.
So many different elements to this wonderful place. I will definitely visit again. The man on the ticket gate was particularly memorable. Lovely. Man and staff in the gardens around the whole venue. They do great work.

This garden is shockingly huge and can see owners love for dinosaurs and many other animals life-size figurines dotted all over the landscape.
Buy ticket for the 45-min. trolley to get a overview and it makes 2 stops to allow exploring different theme gardens on foot, from cactus, orchid, huge rocks to French. Can hop back to the next trolley. Even 2 hours there only cover few grounds.
Plenty of food options and cool air-con. cafes serve cold drinks are a good way to hydrate and rest.
Pictures don’t do justice, must see with your own eyes. Adults and kids will equally enjoy it.

Great place to visit. The botanical gardens are nice, and the dinosaur statues are interesting. The other things to do there interacting with elephants and an interesting car museum, and I saw a shooting range there. They also have places to eat. It is worth a visit.
Ivan Sanches — Google review
I've never seen more concrete and plastic in a place that is called "garden".
First, if you expect to see a botanical garden and maybe learn something about tropical plants, this is definitely the wrong place. What they have done here is basically destroy nature that has been there, cover it up with concrete and then put a lot of plants into pots and decorate everything with plastic animals and dinosaurs.
Second, the place is huge, but some areas can only be viewed from the buses (forbidden to walk in there or leave the bus) running around the place, so there is no time to look at the plants closer.
I also got no idea why anybody would place a car saloon in a "botanical garden", but there are two of them.
Third, there is evident animal cruelty happening in this place. We saw chained up elephants being held as tourist attractions, so that you can take photos or ride on them. A baby elephant was chained to it's mother, to make it walk along and on top of that we saw one staff member pulling the tail of the baby elephant to make it stop. So, if you love elephants definitely do NOT go to this place. There is also an elephant show (which we - for obvious reasons- choose not to look at).
The so called "Thai cultural show" was entertaining but very cliched.
Don't let yourself be fooled: this is a theme park with a lot of plants and plastic animals but NOT a botanical garden.

The place is clean and maintained very well. We reached the place by 10am so that we don't miss the shows.
Thailand traditional show was amazing and we all loved it. I would recommend getting a VIP ticket to occupy a seat towards the centre of the stage.
The Elephant show was nice.

This is such a huge place.
We set off by watching the show of various cultures. It is a great show. Then we went on for the elephant show. It was fun and entertaining. Then we had some refreshment, a coconut drinks to be exact.
Then, we went on the tram that takes us to visit the tropical garden of animals, cacti and many more. We spent about 4 -5 hours here and it was tiring.

Very interesting and unexpected experience. The gardens were very well landscaped with various dinosaurs positioned in the different themed gardens. area is HUGE. Not too crowded. Feels a bit like Jurassic park and did not expect this, looking from the outside
Offers a tour on a bus for a fee, which is beneficial for people who can't or don't want to walk much. Has restaurants and food court, though food isn't that great. Provides wheelchair for rent. Plenty of parking space provided.

Beautiful garden. Well maintained. They have excellent shows. Its a good one day thing to do in pattaya. We took a ride/ car to go to all the points. As its too big to walk around its better to take a ride.
Not too expensive and worth a try if you are okay with a little walking. There’s cultural show, different countries cultural dancing n all and there’s elephants show.

Beautiful gardens. Tastefully designed, decorated and maintained.
Take the bus internally to visit if you want to save time and don’t want to talk this huge place.
There’s also an Indian restaurant serving Indian food.
Its cheaper to buy a cumulative ticket (entrance, food, bus etc) if you are sure of what u want.
The elephant show is splendid. The cultural show is also good.
A good tourist attraction

Huge interesting botanical garden. Don’t forget to bring water & get ready to get sweat if you explore this area by foot 🦶. Ticket price 600 bath for tourist. And they also have ticket with bus ( you will use bus to explore the area ). They have many toilets & it was quite clean for female toilet. But my husband n son said for male toilet it was really smelly

Everything is commercialized. Staff is very rude towards the tourists, especially foreigners.
Entry ticket is too expensive and do not deserve. Shuttle bus is a big fraud. Before boarding they say, unlimited hop on and hop off. But, after second point itself they do not allow to board further except to the exit gate. I am forced to walk myself with my wife, as the driver thrown away my shuttle bus ticket into a dust bin. There's no staff to guide you or help you.
Most of the garden is artificial except one portion, where tourist entry is restricted and allowed to view only from the shuttle bus. Not allowed even to step out of the bus.
Thai Cultural Show is good. But, the elephant show was again a big fraud.
After collecting a separate entrance ticket for the show, it seems management is interested in commercializing the show, but, not interested in the actual show.
During the show, feeding to the elephants, selling the products is a big hinderence to the viewers in watching the show.
I don't say it's wrong. But, should be carried out before starting the show or after end of the show. Not during the show. It gives a lot of irritation when someone is obstructing the show continuously. Waste of money.
Car museum and collection of Cars in the museum is excellent. Except, car museum all other things are fully commercial.
Hope the Management shall make a note of my review and take corrective steps, especially on their Staff behaviour.

Very disappointing to see how they have the elephants... very sad, all day standing, tied at the neck and feet with very short chains, which completely limit their movements. I did not see them well cared for or treated. Their rights were totally violated, I felt that no one cared about them. They make them do tricks so you can take photos and the guys who ride them ask you then for tips. A horror.
Focusing now in the gardens are very well maintained, the plant production sector is very nice. The gardens do not have a description or origin of the plants.
Something curious is that everywhere there are figures of all kind of animals of different sizes, but they are not classified or described either. There is no logic.

Its a must-visit place when you come to Thailand, and please make sure you have at least half a day to actually explore and appreciate the garden (kids will go mad with the Dinosaur valley).
The garden is spacious, there are a variety of trees and plants for you to feel fresh. Also the sky walk is a nice experience for an overview of the garden.
The Dinosaur valley is a wow attraction, not only it has almost 1:1 Dino, but also there are many types from herbivores to carnivores.

Great place, definitely a must see. Very detailed dinosaur park with literally hundreds of different dinosaurs. Uncountable collection of plants, noted as one of the top 10 best gardens in the world. Another big thing is the 2 x car enthusiasts museum, rare cars old to new. Elephants were sad to see all chained up but everything else was amazing.

I first visited these gardens in south Jomtien some fifteen years ago and they have expanded almost out of recognition. Some 1,000 baht (£21) entry for foreigners but cheaper for Thais. Make sure you get tickets for the additional shows and transport you want over the basic entry fee. Vast open car park and easy entry. Begins with an extremely impressive and lavish Thai history and cultural show almost worth the entry fee on its own that lasts about 30 minutes. You then move on to an elephant show. I'm not a great fan of the commercialisation of wild animals taught to play popular sports like football and basketball for entertainment but I was one of a very small minority.
You can buy a ticket to view the vast gardens by open-sided minibus which drops you off at various locations. Lots of secluded tropical gardens and water features which are very picturesque. We opted to walk around a lot despite the heat utilizing the overhead walkways which are being constantly expanded. At the end there is an array of dinosaur features. Not my thing but understand it's to attract families.
Make sure you have plenty of water with you as despite the mini-buses and refreshment booths dotted around there's a lot of walking involved. Quite a long day but overall enjoyed the experience and would highly recommend.

This place is HUGE!! Booking a tour around the place is recommended.
We were all surprised and amazed by how detailed, careful attention is paid to make this masterpiece the way it is today. Lots of sights for photos with friends. We enjoy our time a lot here.
BUT the garden is seated quite far from city centre. Be aware of transportation fees and tolls (if you use highways).

Booked this as a last minute idea for something to do nearby another attraction.
Didn't expect what I was about to see....
Driving up I started to realise this place was quite big, it reminded me of visiting Disney world looking at the scale of the parking areas and the ticket booth was like an aircraft hangar.
At first I thought it was quaint, then walking deeper into the gardens I was mildly impressed, then after an hour of walking I came to the realisation that I have never thought that this many different types of plants could be in one location, it was flabbergasting if I'm honest.
As we walked through the areas, the dinosaur sculptures seemed impressive, not awkward and they looked well made, again as we walked further in and then ended up taking a bus tour we suddenly realised the scale of this place and the size of some of these dinosaurs, every single one seemed accurate to the size I expected Including the very very large ones which you needed to really step back to take photos of!
This is the best garden I have visited, the plants they have on display and in the nursing areas must be in the millions.
This is ideal for children, just don't go during the hot season.
The food was cheap.
Plenty of toilets dotted all over, disabled access also.
Would recommend a visit if you have a family or just like to see well presented gardens.

What I hate though is that I feel bad for the elephant during the elephant show though, they ask for tips every show they do, they go around in elephants for the elephants to collect.

We took a tour here from Bangkok and it was a very special site. It was a beautiful stupa (which are buildings mimicking where the relics of Buddha were buried and where monk and nun relics are now often buried) in fact it is the tallest in the world at 395 foot and it is in perfect condition, wonderfully maintained. It dominates the skyline. There are many shrines around the stupa to Buddha and where donations and wishes can be made. It costs foreigners 60 Baht each to visit.

The name Phra Pathommachedi means the first holy stupa, given by king Mongkut. Originally the stupa named Phra Thom Chedi means the big stupa in ancient Khmer language or the royal stupa in Northern Thai language. One of the common misunderstandings about this stupa is that Phra Pathommachedi is the oldest and the first stupa in Suvarnabhumi, an ancient name of Southeast Asia. (Info taken from Wikipedia)

This is said to be the tallest Buddhist monument in the world and the tallest chedi in Thailand. We visited on a Friday and it was not as crowded as when we visited Shwedagon chedi in Yangon. But Phra Pathom Chedi is immaculately preserved and beautiful indeed. Walking around the compound, we felt a sense of peace and tranquility. The Damnoen Saduak Floating Market is a popular tourist attraction in Ratchaburi province, Thailand. It features souvenir vendors and food sellers from all over Asia. The market is located on a large canal and is easily accessible by car or boat.
A fascinating place and a memorable experience. A tour bus driver took us to a riverside point where we tried local fruits before embarking on the boat journey through the waterways and floating stalls into the big bustling floating market. A special place and an absolute must-see for anyone visiting Bangkok.
Amir Aridi — Google review
The floating market of Damnoen Saduak is very disappointing and is not worth a stop in my opinion. There are very few vendors on the water but mostly vendors on land that we can approach by boat. Only souvenirs are sold but almost no fruits or vegetables, it's a pity.
Moreover, the cost of the boat is 2000 baths, which is excessively expensive to visit a market devoid of vendors and absolutely not alive.
An "avenue" on the water however that I found particularly beautiful, decorated with a multitude of lanterns. And beautiful landscapes of jungle to appreciate during the walk.
Cl?mence Valette — Google review
Actual “floating market”. Most of the vendors are along the rivers or on a boat.
To fully enjoy this market, you pay for the boat to take you around the river. They can stop as needed if you want to buy something. Good breeze on the water.
Bring cash of course. Price are reasonable and the food + drinks are pretty good. There are alcohol and cannabis drinks of various sort.
There are traffic jam on the water just in case you are wondering.
There are car and motorbike parking. Some free some paid. Weekend all paid parking.
Note: the boat service is for an hour or so. If you stop at too many places then you won’t be able to visit the whole river. You can always take it twice. Price is reasonable anyway.

So... we went to this floating market as part of a packaged group tour. Websites talk a lot about the floating market, so I was like why not. I don't like labeling places as tourist traps because people like experiencing different things, but I'd say this place feels very touristy and commercial to say the least.
You get to travel on a boat, and other small boats will come to you with food and merch. The smoke from other boats is not very pleasant, and that dirty water may splash and get on your clothes the current from other moving boats is strong. But it's not too terrible, so just be mindful of this.
I say commercial, because all the goods here are sold 2-10 times the prices in other markets. Souvenirs? Even the tour guide told us not to buy. Fruits and coconut ice cream are not too pricey, but I'd still negotiate the price.
Overall, the place didn't feel organic - it's not a market where locals would come to buy goods. It's designed exclusively for tourists, so I'd recommend the place if you're okay with my caveats above.
Will Heo — Google review
TL:DR Take the paddling boat experience if you wish, don't buy anything on the boat.
It's a good experience, the original Thai floating market. You can experience life living next to a canal and traveling mainly through boats. Most of the shopping is done through the canal, thus the floating market. However, it seems that it's more for tourists (local tourists too), so expect prices to be higher than elsewhere.
Pricey boat hire. The stuff on the floating market is expensive as well (you can get the same stuff elsewhere for way less price). You need to learn to bargain and do it really well to not get scammed. It does feel like a tourist trap and I think it's good to just experience the boat, and just don't buy anything. Just find whatever souvenirs (and food!) interest you, and buy it at other places. You can even get them cheaper at Bangkok, or at the side of the canal unreachable by boats (still more expensive than elsewhere).

Visiting Damnoen Saduak Floating Market was an incredible immersion into Thailand's vibrant culture and tradition. The market's colorful boats laden with fresh produce and local crafts created a picturesque spectacle. While the crowds can get overwhelming, interacting with the friendly vendors and sampling authentic Thai delicacies made the experience truly memorable. The long-tail boat ride along the serene canals provided a peaceful retreat from the lively market atmosphere. However, the growing tourist influence has somewhat affected the market's original charm. Nevertheless, it remains a must-visit destination for anyone seeking an authentic glimpse into Thailand's rich cultural heritage.

More than 150 years old market still retaining the original teak wood structure. However it was overcrowded with tourists, our boats clashing each other in the channels, loud motor boats which were letting out unpleasant smoke and souvenirs sold at exorbitant prices. Was quoted 850 baht for a wooden dragon fly hanging which we bargained and bought at 200 baht. Our guide told us not to buy anything without bargaining the price down by 80%. It would’ve been a better experience for tourists if the items were sold at a reasonable cost like in the other markets and vendors would get more sales.
We had yummy coconut ice cream and mango sticky rice which our guide got us from a lovely lady selling from her boat.
We stopped at a shop selling puppets and masks but decided not to buy anything after a closer inspection because we didn’t think it was worth the price quoted. A really nasty vendor selling paintings opposite this shop started yelling at us and called us cheap for not buying those overpriced items after looking at them. With such attitude I wonder if anyone would want to go back again. Couldn’t wait to get out of there after that. That person was enough to spoil the whole experience for us.
I had read reviews from tourists not recommending this market and should’ve followed their advice. There are other genuine floating markets visited by locals which are way better. Don’t recommend this one at all!

A must do tour when you are visiting Bangkok. We travelled by AC minibus to the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, which encompassed a visit to the railway market & a coconut plantation. The floating market was truly spectacular, seeing the vendors selling their wares along the river, plus lots of separate stalls selling souvenirs & food, all enjoyed from the comfort of your own long tail boat. You could purchase things along the waterway - which was fantastic. The railway market was an eye opener! The vendors know precisely when a train arrives/departs & quickly retract their stalls just in time. Tourists are a plenty to witness this precision timing. The goods for sale are plentiful & range from souvenirs, fruit, meat, fish, beverages etc. We also visited a coconut plantation, where it was interesting to see how a coconut is fully used, with no wastage.

Great place for tourists to visit about 1.5 hrs outside of Bangkok! You can find a variety of food and souvenirs along the river, and most vendors are willing to bargain prices down.
Just be warned, many taxi drivers will try to scam you by dropping you off at tour companies about 5 minutes away from the actual market. They give prices starting at 2000 Baht per person for a 2 hour boat ride through the market. Please don't fall for it. If you demand to be taken to the actual start of the market you can find prices around 100-300 Baht per person for an hour boat ride through the market.
Absolutely worth the visit, just be careful who you are trusting to take you.

The Damnoen Saduak Floating Market is a bustling and lively destination that offers a unique and authentic Thai experience. The market is a great place to visit for a few hours, but be cautious of tourist operators who may try to take you to other boating joints and extend your trip.
If you're short on time, it's best to drive directly to the market and explore on foot. This way, you can fully immerse yourself in the market's lively atmosphere and get a feel for the local culture. However, be prepared to haggle, as the prices for goods other than food can be quite high.
One of the highlights of the market is the food. The floating market offers a wide variety of delicious and authentic Thai cuisine, from fresh fruits and vegetables to mouthwatering street food. It's a great opportunity to sample some of the local delicacies and immerse yourself in the culinary culture of Thailand.
Overall, the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market is a must-visit destination for anyone traveling to Thailand. The market's colorful and lively atmosphere, combined with its delicious food, make it a truly unforgettable experience.

This floating market is very touristy. You may get dripped off via minivan or taxi about a few hundred meters from the actual floating market. They generally drop you off further away with the hopes that you’ll pay for the expensive motor boat tour/ride to the market (the experience is about 1hr long).
Instead it’s better to walk a few hundred meters to the market and save yourself the money. At the floating market itself you can pay be for a much cheaper human powered boat around the market (we paid 200baht for two people).
While on the top the guide will move the boat along the market to the various vendors. Some guides will stop at many vendors and some will skip some. We tried to tell our guide we’re not interested but she didn’t listen and continued to move from vendor to vendor.
Overall this floating market wasn’t that great. Mainly just vendors trying to sell you things you can find in most tourist shops in Thailand. It’s best to go to the Amphawa floating market that’s nearby via taxi and not waste your time and money with this one.

An interesting place to visit for the very first time. Overall experience was pleasant and enjoyed the boat ride but might not be a good place to shop for souvenirs because of the steep pricing.
The tour we paid for felt rushed and did not get to check out most of the stalls. The person in charge of the boat will only stop at certain stalls as requested.
As one of the most popular floating markets in Thailand and over a 100 years of history, it was slightly disappointing to see that the place is not well maintained.

I came here last year in September 2022 and the river was crowded and lively. I visited again last July 2023 and it was different, quiet and calm. As usual, because this is a popular tourist place, everything is expensive. You will need to bargain fairly as they’re only making a living too. This is a unique and great experience so do not skip this spot.

Out of all the floating markets in Bangkok i had selected this as it had better reviews than the others. The only thing is it's located far away from the city and the drive to this place too more than 1½hrs but it was good. After reaching they asked us if we wanted to visit other things and showed us the options but we decided to just experience the floating market. We went in the morning so it wasn't sunny. It's better to just experience the boat ride and not shop as the prices of everything are too high, definitely a tourist trap. The coconut ice cream was really good! Overall loved the boat ride and the experience.

A wonderful place to experience what a floating market is like in Bangkok. Damnoen Saduak floating market has many stores which sells popular local delicacies, items and souvenirs.
But that’s is where the positive ends. Damnoen Saduak floating market is a tourist trap. All of the items could be bought elsewhere at a much lower price. The boatman will stop at different stores without request at times too. Strolling through the floating market, you will notice mostly tourists, and the only locals are the vendors.
Come for the experience, not for the shopping. This may be one of the more popular floating markets, but it is not the only one in Bangkok.

I loved it!! The boat ride was super relaxing, and we did ride the elephant afterward. (I wouldn't do that again)next visit, I'll go to an elephant sanctuary instead. Definitely talk down the prices don't buy the first thing you see

The place was kinda touristic. But it was nice to see it! But too many tourists and didn’t feel real at some point. The boats were way too many and a I didn’t like the way in which they were treating animals just to take pics with them and tourists. But it was an experience.

It is best going there early in the morning or late afternoon to avoid the hot weather. I took a boat ride to fully cover the vast area of these canals system. There are many souvenir shops by the canal as you ride on the boat. The boat ride was comfortable and save me the trouble of walking. Anyway, most shops can only be accessed by boat. So, take the convenient way.

Just loving everything about Bangkok this is no exception- what a cool experience to be taken through by boat to experience the noise, smells, sights, tastes and do your ‘window shopping’ before you get off and redo it by foot picking up and haggling for all the gems you spied from the water! Coconut ice cream while floating is a must do! 🥥

Damnoen Saduak Floating Market is located about 100km from the city centre. The journey usually takes about 2 hours each way.
This popular floating market has become very touristy. There are just a few traders on boats selling food, drinks and fruits now. The banks of the canal is lined with shops selling souvenirs, clothings, food and drinks.
The boat ride we had was a disappointment. The driver just sped through the canal then idled for a while to waste time before taking us back to the jetty. We did not pass through the section with traders on boats.
We should have taken the boat which was manually rowed and not the one with an petrol engine. It was more like a canal speedboat ride than a visit to a floating market.

Very different experience and good one. There is a boat ride for 20 mins. One can do shopping from a boat, and one can also have experience in local life. Recommended to try once and do not forget to bargain.

It’s a nice experience to browse the area with a wooden boat. It is also possible to walk much of the inner market. Taxis will want to drop you off about 1km away at a point from where you can only take a motorboat to go to the market via some narrow canals, whereas if you drive to the market you have the option of a cheaper paddle boat to explore the “inner” market.
The staff will try to sell various experience packages. Boat hire prices are regulated. On the way to the market you’ll see a couple of souvenir shops on the sides of the canals that don’t float. Once you get to the market you’ll see vendors on little wooden boats and more shops ashore. The motorboat felt a little like a tourist trap to us at first but on the other hand the trip to and from the market on it will also show you less touristic areas. Inside the market you can always get off the boat, walk a little and get back on too.

A different experience! The floating market is truly different like you might have seen in tour promotions, where there are boats (same size like yours) that sell a variety of food right beside you! Choose from fresh coconuts/fruits to grilled meats. The "traffic" is in the main galley, that when someone decides to buy some of the food, you do have to stop a bit, but that gives you time to look around the sides where stalls of other goods like clothes and other trinkets are displayed on both sides of the canal. Reminder to keep your hands within the boat and hang on to your phones and cameras! Yes the water is not clear. Wear a hat too. Apparently there is a back way from the main "water road". The primary shopping area is where you do get off your boats, it's huge! we were dropped off at the back, and the good thing is you can haggle prices of some goods! There are restaurants and comfort rooms in the main building. We had fun! Include this on your to try list when in Thailand!

Such an interesting experience on one of the paddle boats. It's pretty much 5 lane traffic jam all the way but everyone just seems to know how to push past each other. They stop their boat for you to do some shopping.
Enjoyed seeing the train pass by and the locals selling quite cheap food. Bought some special tea for 10 bhat and mango. Worth a visit.

Touristy place with good view of the station. Price is moderate. Might not be a great deal but not a bad place to chill while waiting the train to come into the station
Mango sticky rice is average
Hot plate is available some noodles and other stuff
Smoothies are great so as coconut

Stopped here for a short snack and to watch the tourists.
Food is average and nothing special. Prices are around 40 for each, sticky rice is 50.
One woman is singing the menu to get attention. Pad Thai was ready immediately, the dumplings took 10 minutes.

Avoid at all cost, better still avoid this restaurant due to the service.
1. Mama Fried (tasteless and noodle overcooked),
2. Tofu Soup (pork still raw when served)
3. Pork noodle (edible if add more chilli powder)
4. Tomyam Gong Noodle (edible with fish sauce)
5. Omelette (tasteless but edible)

The pre-Covid bustling narrow walkways along the canal of Amphawa are (almost) empty. This “floating market” was very popular to weekend crowds from Bangkok, with lots of cute little cafe’s and art shops lining the canal. But, according to the owner of the little resort we stayed, it is this Bangkok crowd that is now staying away. A bit of a chicken and egg story. No shops no tourists & no tourists no shops.
It is still fairly busy in the narrow street starting from the temple, going across the walkway bridge to the narrow street on the south side of the canal, but that part does not have the bustling evening floating market vibe. Foreign tourist are still there, but mostly from China.
Peter van Zanten — Google review
Once upon a time, here thrived a vibrant floating market. Nowadays, it's transformed into a serene riverside marketplace, where the sight of boats peddling wares is scarce.
⚠️ Note: This market operates exclusively on weekends, in the afternoons and evenings. Visiting during weekdays or mornings is futile.
Weekend mornings are tranquil, as vendors prepare their stalls for the bustling afternoon crowds. Catering primarily to locals, this market offers a refreshing escape from touristy hubs, albeit with minimal foreign visitors. Don't anticipate a bustling river scene; instead, explore the myriad of shops lining the area's shores.
The absence of tourists also reflects in the pricing, where a satisfying meal can be enjoyed for 40 to 50 baht. While an authentic experience, this market appears to be gradually fading into obscurity.

Tambon Amphawa, Amphoe Amphawa, Chang Wat Samut Songkhram 75110, Thailand
Tham Khao Luang is a temple-like cave nestled in the mountain, accessible by either walk or drive. The cave boasts several Buddhist symbols and a reclining Buddha, with natural light pits and artificial lighting providing a serene ambiance. Visitors need to park at the nearby temple for free and pay an entrance fee of 10 baht per person plus ride ticket fee of 15 baht regardless of nationality.
Not difficult to reach simply follow Google map to reach the place. However, we cannot directly drive up to the cave entrance. There are shuttle mini Subaru from the temple at the foot of the mountain. Small entrance fee required.

Visiting these caves is a surreal experience. The caves are easy to access for reasonably fit person with about 50-60 steps. (Senior citizens should be careful)
The cave itself has 2 large rooms with sunlight coming through a hole in the roof.
It is peaceful inside.

This is a really good place to visit. Well I was a little tired when we arrived, but this is worth it. This cave has made been there since 1935. Also I came there at 4 pm so it's really deserted and quite, almost no people there. The photos are amazing, I love the view, but when there's no people around it feels scary because it's so dark inside. Also there are so many monkeys there. Good place. 👍👍

This is great to visit if you're going to give merit, esp. if your Buddhist, nevertheless, served as an adventure. Great walking experience and be able to learn the history. It's much better if you have a private tourist guide who can speak Thai & English for better understanding .

Temple-like cave with a reclining Buddha and many other Buddhist representations. Many natural light pits and artificial lighting give a nice atmosphere. There are steep steps right at the start to access the cave. You need to park - for free - at the Temple nearby and entrance fee is 10baht per person plus ride ticket 15b - whether your are thai or a foreigner (vehicules are not allowed up the mountain to the cave entrance). You can also feed fish at the temple in exchange of a donation of your choice (should be 10b/bottle)

Great place to visit! Loved this cave! To get here, you'll need to go to the temple nearby to get a songthaew ride to the cave entrance. When there, the walk to the cave is quite easy, but then, the stairs into the cave are very steep. They're going down into the cave, so that's not a big problem. Worry about those stairs for when you're going out. The cave itself is really beautiful, with a hole in the ceiling where sunlight passes through. The main hall is quite big. There's another room which also has a hole where the sunlight comes through. You can walk deeper into the cave but it suddenly ends somewhere.

Nice place to visit, if you have some time to spend in the area.
Entrance fee is 10 baht per person - you can drive up to the hill and then take a special stair to the cave (the other one is crowded with dogs).
Cave is huge, but has only two areas - so half an hour is probably enough time to spend there.
Staff speaks English.

Visited 22 2 2024.. Too hot for monkeys, although I did see some on the way down and on the way into town. Great cave for making merit , buying holy relics, many Buddha and my personal guardian Lersi por fae.
Steps can be a bit slippy and of uneven height, so go slow and use the hand rails where provided .Peaceful and spiritual.
You can hear and see bats, and it looks like their messages on the floor.
Nice shops for refreshments and souvenirs. You can drive, right up to the ticket office. The attendant didn't bother with the 25bht charge, and it's 10bht to go to the caves. Worth it

You need to be fit to run up and down the many steps. At the bottom of the steps you will find a large gold sleeping Buddha, along the way down there is also small statues. If you scout around the area you will see many monkeys. There are small shops with drinks and some places to eat. There is a large pond with plenty of fish.
Really enjoyed my visit I parked at the temple and took the small bus up the hill as I wasn't sure if you can drive up but it looks like you can? It wasn't expensive 50b for a return trip so no big deal really the entrance to the cave was only 20b again no problem and there's an air condition room you can sit in and relax after selling drinks and snacks ect it's one of the best caves I've visited around the area.

Fantastic place to stop by when heading to the major tourist destination like Hua Hin or Cha Am as you’ll pass it if you’re travelling by car. Watch out for pesky monkeys around the car park area. Theres a taxi service that’ll take you from the car park straight to the ticket office for 30 Baht. This also includes the return ride back to the car park. Well worth it as it’s a fairly long walk up to the ticket office and you may struggle with the heat of the sun and those monkeys that can be quite aggressive. Once inside the cave, you’ll be amazed and won’t stop taking photo/videos as it’s so beautiful!!

Wow... A hidden gem in the heart of Phetchaburi. A few steep steps to get down but once at the bottom it's like an alladins cave of Buddhist statues etc. Only 10 baht entrance fee which is an absolute bargain
Richard Greenhalf — Google review
It is a short walk up to the stairs that lead down to the cave entrance. The cave has two large chambers, both with a large open hole in the ceiling. It can produce nice effects when the sun sends light into the hollow rooms. An interesting visit without the big sun effect, as it was quite cloudy that day.
A challenge is to get sharp pictures in the dark, and a powerful flash to illuminate is recommended, which I did not have with me on this day. There is a large car park in the area outside the ticket office, and it cost 10 baht to visit the cave.

Very large and interesting cave and temple. Surely worth a stop if you are traveling past on your way south. Several rooms to look at. Nice staff to assist with information 👌
A vast cave, which can be reached by a hike or boat ride, boasts an elegant pavilion illuminated by a shard of sunlight. The temple sits atop a small hill and offers breathtaking natural views. Accessible only through hiking 2km and climbing 800m or via a short boat ride, the man-made structure is only used for prayer and is uninhabited by monks. The best time to visit this tourist attraction is around noon when the sunlight reaches the temple.
This place was absolutely beautiful. We got lucky and it was very quiet. We opted to walk the trail instead of taking the the boat. The trail is very rocky and steep, both going up and down. Must visit place!

Very beautiful cave with a small temple in the top, you have two way to reach there, by walking ( its around 2 km and you have to climb a hill and go down in the opposite side) or by boat; I got the boat so I can't tell how hard is the climbing. By boat it takes 5 to 10 minutes only but after you land you still have to climb 800 meters, when you finally reach the top the natural view is amazing, the only man-made construction is a small praying temple ( no monks living there ). Around 12 pm the sunlight reach the temple, that's the best time to be there

One of the largest and most beautiful caves is Southeast Asia. A truly unique experience. It takes roughly 3 hours to complete the entire hike (with a short stop at the halfway restaurant). Don’t take the boat on the way in since you would miss a really nice viewpoint, but take it on the way back. (Only 200B for two people). Good hiking shoes required!
Michel Botman — Google review
Possibly the most profoundly beautiful place I’ve ever been. 200THB for a foreigner to enter. Depending on your fitness level, if you don’t take the boat, there is a moderate 20 - 30 minute hike along the mountain edge with some stunning beach, forest and gulf views.
There is then a brief walk through some small woods and a restaurant before the hike up to the cave itself begins.
That hike is again, moderate, around 30 - 45 minutes (2KM total distance from start to cave). In my opinion, it is absolutely worth every step for the unique nature of the cave, the collapsed roof in parts throwing sunlight into the huge space and bringing life in the most unexpected places. The temple itself is one of the few times I’ve experienced such a place that is better than any photo or video can portray. Has to be experienced to be believed and if you’re in to it, meditation here is next level.

This place is a wonder of nature. You have two options to go. You will either walk the whole way and cross 2 mountains and arrive after 5-6 km, or you will go by boat and walk only 625 meters. I recommend you to wear sneakers for the last 625 Mt climb. It was raining when I went and the stones were very slippery and my sandals slipped a lot. Definitely go there. Entrance is 200 baht, 200 baht by boat, 400 baht in total. If you go by boat, be sure to get the captain's number, ours forgot us and we waited for hours to be rescued.
Sumeyra Tasarcan — Google review
Once you reach, take a boat ride to Laem Sala Beach. There are many small places to have lunch. The trek to cave is a 450 metre steep hike. With one view point roughly after 200 metres. If you are going in summer, I recommend doing this early morning or post lunch. The view of the cave, the history behind it, nature’s work as a sculptor, is all worth the hike.
P.S. Please don’t touch the limestone formations in the cave. It has taken hundreds of years to form, might break in one second.

2nd time visiting the cave. It's 200 baht (40 baht Thai) to enter the national park. As people have mentioned you can avoid the first mountain by taking a boat (400 Baht per person), but in my view this is the easier hike that provides great views. The second 430m walk is pretty much all steep steps, so I've seen a few turn back. My advise is wear sensible shoes and take or stock up on water at the restaurant before starting. The reward is an interesting Cave that has been visited by three Thai Kings. I enjoyed it, hence why its my second time.

A truly amazing sight is your reward after some rugged and sometimes steep walking. I am so glad we took the boat to the beach and didn’t walk there. It’s the usual foreigner price markup for National Parks. 500% price markup for foreigners. If you are unfit don’t do it! Take walking shoes, water and a little food to keep your energy level up.

Beautiful cave with a simple but elegant pagoda inside constructed by Rama V. The hike there from the beach is 480 meters and quite steep. Due to the heat and grade, consider bringing water for your hike.
When arriving at the park office, entrance tickets are 200/- per foreigner and boat tickets are 400/- per boat (max 6 people).
There are plenty of shops at the park office selling water, food and coconuts.

It's a lovely cave with a simple yet elegant pagoda inside built by RamaV. It was quite a challenge for me as our group began the hike from the highway through the jungle, which took over an hour along a steep, rough road with ups and downs. Along the climb, there is a viewpoint offering breathtaking views. Both the path and the cave itself embody the true essence of "A real unseen Thailand."

The cave can be accessed from Bang Pu beach by foot, but I would recommend taking a boat from there instead. To access the cave requires a climb of around 450m which would not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues or a poor level of fitness. There is a viewing point around halfway up the climb with stunning views. There's also a restaurant and other facilities at the bottom of the hill by the beach.

Nice temple inside a cave, Recommend going early to avoid the mid day heat - The walk is not the easiest but anyone who’s relatively fit shouldn’t have any issues.
There is a boat at the start that offers you a fast track to the beach but you still need to walk 40 minutes or so, It was an enjoyable hike and lots of wildlife can be seen if you’re lucky

We visited there a group of 5 families with young kids ages 2-12
You first need to pay the park entrance fee which is 200/adult 100/kid
Then you take a short boat ride (about 5 minutes), which costs 400 per boat of up to 6 people.
From there the trail starts - it’s all stairs, and there are signs that shows progress along the rout.
All kids were able to climb it, an the cave at the end was spectacular!
When we got back, we cooled down at the beach. On the beach there are clean toilet and even a basic shower, and a restaurant.

Khao Sok National Park is a renowned national park in Thailand that features an ancient rainforest, limestone cliffs, rare flora and fauna, and breathtaking waterfalls. Visitors can hike on the numerous trails available or opt for an elephant ride through the tropical rainforest. Additionally, visitors can enjoy canoeing or bamboo rafting on the Khao Sok River to witness limestone karsts.
Beautiful marine national park with extensive wildlife.
We stayed two nights and saw several animals during our time in the park, including wild elephants, king cobra, boar, Indian bison, and different kinds of monkeys.
On the first day we hiked up to a view point overlooking the southern part of the park. It’s quite a trek and not suitable if you have challenges walking. Beware of leeches during the wet season.
In the north eastern part of the lake, there’s another short hike you can take to visit a coral cave. It’s large and once you’re furthest into it there’s literally no light.
Can highly recommend spending a few days here if you enjoy nature and wildlife!

What a great adventure!! This was a few years ago. The park is kept very well. However, if you are adventurous, get a required guide so you can go to very offbeat areas that are full of beautiful jungle, rivers, and a little wildlife.
I asked our tour outfitter, Tiger Man (who i super highly recommend) to take me on a HARD hike, and he did just that. He required a check of my ability to make sure that i could make it. The guide was great and we stopped often and he explained parts of the jungle, such as a vine that had backwards thorns that the guide said was to keep snakes off, just as one example.
Many decades of hiking and this was definitely the toughest hike had been on, crossing through rivers, repelling down waterfalls, walking about 1KM down a river waist deep. But it all was fantastic…
If you go i would definitely recommend Tiger man as your guide/outfitter! He is great.

Obviously the site has some visual impact and makes for a great day excursion. The walking through the cave was kind of a more thrilling experience with the swimming in the dark.
The rocky formations are very high and gives you a difference sense of scale, the scenery makes for great pics.
Be aware that on the 2 days tour you won't sleep in the middle of the rocky formations but on the side so can be disappointing. Also sad they don't stop a great Viewpoint to get the overall feeling of the landscape.

Staying in a floating bungalow is a great experience. The water is clear and great to swim in and the feeling when you wake up in the morning is amazing! I did a tour with a hostel in Khao Sok. We did a jungle safari, night safari and it was an incredible couple of days. You have to visit this place! One of the best experience in Thailand.

Just the best experience. Book an overnight trip at the lake and just enjoy nature, monkeys, hikes, caves, good food and no wifi
Alex Jacker — Google review
Beautiful scenery. Elephants can be seen or heard roaming around the park. Monkeys can also be seen. There is a fun trek to a cave also. Canoeing available. The local food served was very tasty.
The hotel on the lake we ended up staying at had communal bathrooms unless a 200 baht/per person update for a private/attached bathroom. The one star reduction mostly comes from there being no AC in the rooms and no electricity in the rooms until 6pm til about 10am.

I had the privilege of staying overnight at Khao Sok and it was simply magical.
I stayed on one of several floating bungalows across the park surrounded by incredible views, borrowing a kayak to explore on my own time was one of my favourite parts of my stay aside from watching the sunrise behind the mountain's
If you are a fan of beautiful "natural" landscapes and you're in southern Thailand definitely worth a visit 🤣

One of the most spectacular places on earth. Cruising in a wonderful lake surrounded by huge mountains and jungle. We took the 4 hour cruise and enjoyed every moment

Everything about this place is unreal. The views, floating bungalows, the water, the animals. Truly is amazing as they say it is. I’d highly recommend coming here with the tour guide as your not allowed to come without one

This is an amazing serene place, which is definitely worth the visit.
The views of the surrounding cliffs are amazing. The blue water brought forth by the limestone rocks is a joy to have a swim in.
There are also heard of wild elephants in the region. They are rarely spotted, but you might get lucky.

A bit touristy, with lots of boat lining up to ferry the masses out onto the lake, but still well worth a visit. The day trip we did included an easy walk through the jungle, where our guide imparted various interesting facts about plants, insects and animals living within the park. We also completed a quick walk through the Pra Kai Pelch Cave. Which contains lots of stalagmites, stalactites and other spectacular formations.

Stunning scenery and pure serenity (except of the tourist boats going up and down)
We took a 5 hours private longtail boat “tour” from River View Resort at Chaewlan for 4500bht (such a ripoff. National park and some other fees were excluded 240bht, they don’t even provide a bottle of water) which was supposed to include a guide but the “guide” turned out to be the boatman who spoke no English. We basically sat on the boat under minimal shade and the boatman just drove us from place to place and gestured “bats (they were on a tree which you can only zoom in with your camera from the boat)” “monkeys (on the rocks)”and a bay that supposed had Elephants. We sat in the boat at the bay with 3 other boats just listening to crashing trees in the foliage while the boatman pointed into the trees “Eleohants” for 10mins.
When I asked if we could stop and swim. He just stared at me and we continued on. Went to a pontoon that had a restaurant (tables but didn’t looked like they served food) which was attached to small floating huts that had guests lounging on their fronts.
We also had a stop at the jungle trek (extra payment for ticket 200bht)
While the scenery was beautiful, I don’t think you will need to do 5 hours of it. It became rather pointless after the first 2.

This place is absolutely stunning g to float through. I did a 2 day one night tour and the deeper you can get into this incredible lake the better.
It was so refreshing swimming in fresh water and spotting the wildlife. The rock formations are incredible! Massive, beautiful and of course photogenic.
This place is worth the stop and energy to explore!

Amazing! Such beautiful views! For 1,500 baht each for a full day, it was so worth it. Each boat ride is different but we were able to go see a cave, swim, free dinner and kayaking.
We booked through our amazing accommodations Khao Sok River Camp. 👌🏽

Khao Sok is a captivating destination that truly comes alive in the early morning. Waking up to witness the sunrise, accompanied by the mystical fog, creates a mesmerizing atmosphere. Being among the first on the lake imparts a sense of tranquility and a unique connection with nature. The surroundings evoke a Jurassic Park-like ambiance, making it a must-visit for those seeking a magical and serene experience in the heart of nature.

Amazing experience!! We loved the hike to the cave and we were so lucky to find two elephant families to watch from our long tail boat 🐘🙏🏼💙🇹🇭🤩
Phang Nga Elephant Park is a reputable ethical wildlife sanctuary that provides opportunities for jungle walks and feeding and bathing elephants. Visitors can appreciate the close observation of these majestic creatures, feed them bananas, and snap pictures with them without the exploitation associated with circuses or shows. The park's rehabilitation efforts are commendable, making it an ideal destination for those who want to support elephant conservation. Volunteers are affable and welcoming while food is appetizing.
amazing place! they are taking such a great care of the elephants and doing an amazing rehabilitation work. this is a REAL sanctuary, so don't expect to ride one the elephants or to see some silly show. Instead they will let you observe from a close distance, feed them some bananas and take pictures with the elephants. BUT, this is what you want. its very important to only support the places that actually help elephants, and stay away from the shows and circuses that exploit the animals and treat them bad
we came as a big family and everyone from age 2 to 70 had an amazing time

I don’t know where to start with this place! Amazing from top to bottom! The experience itself was something you can only imagine. Then on top of that was our lovely tour guide Anna, the elephant handler and the amazing food. The elephants are very well cared for. We were lucky enough to experience it with just my husband and I. Anna was very informative about all the elephants. And having a good chat in between! Just a friendly warm and welcoming place! Can not recommend it enough!

A beautiful and well arranged refuge for the elephants. I loved it! Got to walk and feed and bathe my elephant! An excellent experience all around. Get ready for a real elephant experience! Even the lunch was good in a lovely peaceful garden setting with waterfalls. Jake even squeezed me in on the same day tour. So glad I pushed it past what the hotel could offer. So worth it!

Can definitely recommend the morning experience, getting out in to the jungle at taking them back to the camp, just watching how agile they actually are.
Julia, was amazing at answering all our questions, give loads of information and helping make sure everything was safe.
We are 100% coming back once the restaurant opens and the big enclosure has been expanded.
Thank you for taking such good care of your elephants.

Such a lovely experience, the guide was super informative and helpful. Feeding and bathing the elephants were such a joy. They really do a wonderful job looking after them as you can see how playful and happy all the elephants were. Facilities were well maintained and well above others.

This experience was amazing. Being able to get up close to the elephants and learn more about their stories and history was more than I ever expected. Dominic was our guide and he was unbelievably kind and did a phenomenal job. I recommend this experience to anyone who has this opportunity.

What a beautiful experience. The staff is very friendly, and go above and beyond to be supportive. I wasn’t feeling well at one point and they tended to me very kindly. They are also very organized. The elephants were fun. Definitely a must!

There Are many elephant parks in Thailand. But the work these people do in order to preserve the life and well-being of the elephants seems to be above par. Elephants are well taken care of and they do bareback riding. Instead of riding in a cage on top of elephant. Bareback riding is supposed to be better for the elephant, but also really enhances the experience. It is worth the cost, it is a little bit more expensive. But overall the experience and education is worth it. One of the highlights of our Thailand trip

Such a beautiful place! Jake, the owner, is very helpful and organised everything for us. The whole experience is absolutely worth the money! The staff was very nice, gave us good safety instructions and took some photos, while we were interacting with the elephants. It was an incredible day and we highly recommend visiting this park 😊

Great sanctuary. We learned so much about the elephants. Our group alternated between 3 stations - Bathing, Feeding, and Check up. It was so great to learn that these elephants get daily check ups. They are so smart and well taken care of.

Loved being this close to such beautiful animals. They are so gentle and interact so well with humans. Never felt unsafe whilst in the water with them. Highly recommend this experience.

A wonderful experience for the whole family. They share many details about elephants in Thailand. These wonderful animals are treated with respect and live in their natural environment.
The higher price compared to others makes sense as this leads to less traffic in the park.

Absolutely wonderful experience in this place!
We very much enjoyed feeding, walking and bathing with the elephants in their natural habitat.
Emy was a great tour guide!
We also appreciated the fast planning of our private family tour from Jakrapop.
Our warmest recommendation! 🤩🐘
Food and drinks were also great, but we missed spice and a little chili in the lunch. 🌶️
The facilities are nice and clean.

One of the best experiences we’ve ever had. Were a family of 4 (10 and 12 year old and 2 adults) and we wanted an ethical experience and this was just that. Walking with the elephant, feeding, washing as well as some excellent info beforehand and food. Thank you! 🙏

We visited this park as part of our getyourguide trip. It was a very modern park and after research it looks like this is a park with proper treatment to elephants. And from how we can judge, we think this is fine. There is enough space for them, of course wildlife would be the best option but we don’t know the reasons why they are locked in. Feeding was fun, we actually prepared the food for them. And the bathing was a very cool experience, it looked like the elephants enjoyed it too. And the water was clean, in other places it’s very muddy. We can definitely recommend this park

The most incredible place, we didn’t want to leave. Only negative I have is it wasn’t long enough. So professional in every way, lovely staff and just perfect in every way. Not just worth one visit but many more.

Wow what an experience! We booked the dusk elephant experience and it did not disappoint! Anna was an amazing host and was so knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions we had. It’s obvious that they put the welfare of the elephants first, only doing what they are happy doing, for as long as they are happy doing it. Even the food they served was incredibly delicious! 100% recommended for anyone who loves elephants
