Krabi City Seaview
Hotel
The Krabi City Seaview hotel is a modest establishment that features simple yet comfortable accommodations and an informal restaurant with panoramic ocean vistas. During our three-night stay in two of their unpretentious rooms, we found the 2-star property to be ideal for our needs. The balcony room we stayed in offered breathtaking views that have left a lasting impression on us. Its location, which is only a ten-minute walk from Krabi city center, was also convenient.
We had 2 rooms and stayed 3 nights. As a 2 star hotel it is perfect. Especially balcony room. It has a awesome view never can forget. Good location about 10 minutes walking to Krabi city centre. Cleanliness is ok but bathroom in see view room (without balcony) need urgent renew. Stuffs are friendly and helpful. Breakfast serves semi buffet but good quality and sufficient. I will come back here for sure.

Only 10min walk to night markets. The hotel is next to the park with nice view of the river/sea gate. Room is clean, old style furnitures.
Something to consider:
- no elevator (but low stairway)
- in room: no slippers, no complimentary water
- in bathroom: quite small, slippery if wet floor

No windows open very poor ventilation just a rented room
Dan Ward — Google review
Room smelled, there is no sea view from the rooms, to be fair there is no view at all from the rooms. Cockroaches in the bathrooms and ceilings falling apart. There's no staff at night at the reception so when I locked myself from the room at night there was nobody to open the door, and no phone number to call. At least it was very cheap.
Leal lil — Google review
We choose this place because is near the pier (about 800m). If you don't want to be underground without the window, don't choose the cheapest room. It was really dark and small. But maybe for one night with low budget can be ok. Up the roof is small place where the breakfast is served and from here is very nice view.
Ladislav Kocián — Google review
Please don't go there. First of all it's way too expensive for what you get. The only good thing about this place is the short distance to the nightmarket an the nice receptionist. The first room we had had such a dirty shower and toilet. And the room was smelling like mold. So we got another room with at last a somewhat cleaner bathroom but still you didn't want to touch the shower. It was still smelling like mold and we foud some mold on the bedsheed. We endet up sleeping with a plastic sheet over the bed because we spend way too much on this hotel.

A truly budget hotel but with great river views. Quiet position, located in Krabi Town on the riverside. 5 minute walk to shops, restaurants, street food and coffee shops. Hotel really needs some TLC but OK for the money. Rooms spacious and clean but basic. Bathroom also large but in need of some decoration! No safe in room. Top floor rooms (5th floor) have best views. You will need to book a 'deluxe' room as this appears to be their 'best'. Breakfast very basic with no Thai option. Served on the 5th floor open balcony which is nice. Very friendly staff. River Pier just 5 minute walk for access to Long-tail boats and ferries to all of the islands.

Stayed during low season - great river location with nice rooftop and garden terraces. Room was a bit small but clean and the host is so helpful and accommodating. Near night food market. Love the river walk-perfect for a run!

Best stops along Kampot to Kathu drive
The top stops along the way from Kampot to Kathu (with short detours) are Wat Phra Chetuphon Wimon Mangkhalaram Rajwaramahawihan, BTS Skytrain, and The Grand Palace. Other popular stops include Ao Nang Beach, Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, and Otres Beach.
Otres Beach is a stunning stretch of white sand adorned with tamarisk and casuarina trees, making it a popular destination for first-time visitors to Sihanoukville. Despite the touristy shops and eateries, the beach has managed to maintain a cleaner and less crowded atmosphere compared to its neighbors. This three-kilometer crescent of white sand offers a more relaxed vibe, especially at the far end where it's less touristed.
Very nice place for now and special price hotel 2022

Best after 5pm due to paralyzing heat. Since roads, wide sidewalks, and free public toilets n showers installed, it's been drawing in the local crowd n vendors. Looking up!

Otres beach lose the charm and authenticity of its original because of the heavily of chinese investment in this area and overall sihanoukville.
This beach used to be very nice and calm but not anymore.
There are some hotels around this area.
Nguon Sominea — Google review
Not much here was my opinion, the large road and paved area next to the beach make the area look barren. Opposite large areas of derelict buildings or half built structures add nothing to it's charm. To be honest, avoid Sinoukville completely.
Mark Honeyman — Google review
The beach is stunning, but there is some litter and food waste along the pathway. Motorcyclists using the walkway should exercise caution
Chanchai Kasemsukprakarn — Google review
Nice place to catch the golden hour.
It can be crowded at some spots but you can choose where you want to sit down.
Nearby a lot of guest houses/hotels and it has a lot of food vendor where you can enjoy local food and drinks.
Joanna Marie Reg — Google review
The waters were clean and very warm, but the beach had a lot of garbage... as well as the whole area actually which is a construction place of Chinese mega resorts. Although I must admit, one can catch a pretty impressive sunset from Otres beach, there is really nothing else interesting to do or to see here. In my opinion, unless you are catching a plane/ferry and you have to spend a night in Sihanoukville, you may skip the area entirely.

Pretty beach and good sand but unfortunately the Chinese are destroying the area with their high rise buildings making the Cambodian coastline a place for the lower income Chinese tourists to spend their holidays
Bart Verdoorn — Google review
It's my most favorite beach in Sihanoukville. It's nice and chill. Well, personally not very nice compared to before the massive construction (better than a few months ago and years before).
Otres is a long beach, a nice location close to many guesthouse and hotels around.
NIN Kongnav — Google review
I visited here on 24 - 25 Jan 2023, it has changed a lot since my last visit back in 2019.
There were no more kois, on the beach and it serves the public. You may enjoy family activities here (BBQ, Sunbathing, Swimming, Jogging or Relaxed).
You may bring your staff here if you preferred or you may rent from local vendors. Food is limited but there were a few options that you can order from local vendors at the beach.
There were a few landmarks created (#សិលាបដ្ដបណ្ដាសា #ដើមឈើស្នេហ៍ #សិលាចាំស្នេហ៍)។
I look forward to the next BBQ and relaxed by the beach trip soon.

If you want a bit quite and relaxing, a good sunset view go in a bit far side of otres.you no need to worry if you get hungry so many food stall just around the area.

Lovely quiet beach . Boat trips are available to the islands. The odd jet ski for hire. Otres 2 doesn't have many restaurants but lots of street food .

The beach are clean with white sand and free of charge for everyone. There are food stall and foods seller walking (but they are not selling main dish) along the beach to sell grilled squids, octopus, papaya salad, fried meat ball and so on. It would be nice if you could bring ur own picnic mat, some foods and drinks. You could enjoy seeing sunset almost everyday beside raining day.

Otres will never be as it was , last time we were there 2015 it was nice bungalows, small bars, B&B nice and calm atmosfere. And then came the Chinese and distroyed everething, big hotels, casino😝, why, yes coruption😝, so, no more bagpacking in Sihanoukville and Otres
Koh Rong, also known as Paradise or Shelter Island, is a popular tourist destination in Cambodia. It is the second largest island in the country and has undergone significant development in recent years. The island boasts stunning natural beauty with white sand beaches, forests, and coral reefs. Visitors can engage in various activities such as scuba diving, snorkeling, stand-up paddle boarding, kayaking, and sailboat charters.
One of South East Asia's best kept secrets. A 45 minute trip by boat from the boom port city of #sihanoukville, Koh Rong is a beautiful island with lush green landscapes and pristine beaches. The island is thankfully not commercialized..and so is a great place to relax, and enjoy nature and water activities in the day...while at night the F&B scene is quite vibrant with plenty of options from fresh seafood to pizza. Highly recommended! 👍 #cambodia #kohrong #asianislands

This island is just amazing! One of the best places I have been to in SE Asia. It's perfect if you are looking for a place that didn't got super touristy yet and combines beautiful beaches with the local island life and wild nature. A lot of people say it looks like Thai islands 15 years ago, there are no roads on the island and not all to many resorts. Great place to chill! I

Koh Rong is one of the most beautiful islands around Cambodia. One of the best beach or in other words, one of the most beautiful beach in south east asia, ist the Long Beach (7,5km Long).
It’s the beach, where you need to go, the sand is like snow and it sounds the same, when you walk over it. The sand is like snow powder. And the water is crystal clear!!!
The second beautiful beach is the 4K beach near the longset pier.
On the long beach side, the food options are very limited and it doesn’t taste really good. The prices are really high!!!
But on the other hand, you have the most beautiful beach in front of you.
The south of the island, 4K Beach and also white beach, there are some few good food options for an average price available.

beautiful islands in southeast asia. But the entertainment facilities on the island are bad.I rented two beach motos on the island, and $60 an hour for a car. Both cars broke down after half an hour of riding,Spent $600 on car repairs.I think it is excusable that one car is broken, but both cars are broken, obviously the business is deceiving consumers. The experience is very poor, don't fall into the trap of the merchant.Never rent recreational machinery☹️☹️🤑🤑

Absolutely paradise Island and in low season some beaches completely empty. Rent a bike to go around..
!!!!be aware of sand flies!!! Prevent with coconut oil, otherwise you will get stung like me and you will compromise your vacation. The bites can be extremely hitching!!!

It feels odd to review an island created by Mother Nature, the white sand is incredible and the water is clear. But the human aspect deserves a review. The Royal Group is going to turn this island into a Chinese resort with casinos, golf courses and a new airport. Many people agree, the island is already expensive but this will make it a luxury destination. We spoke with a couple local people from the village and they are far from happy about the island take over. They are losing their land and are powerless to stop the developers.
Simply put, you don’t get what you pay for on Koh Rong. Currently a 15 minute taxi costs $20, alternatively a scooter is $15 per day. Nightly accommodations are extremely expensive for the quality and service provided. We stayed in a basic bungalow without A/C, hot water, fridge, kettle and the electric only worked from dusk til dawn. Sadly this bungalow was the same price as our favorite hotel(on a beach, complete amenities) in Vietnam, but to compare the two is laughable. Food is double to triple the price from the mainland and neighboring countries. If you’ve been to Vietnam or Thailand, the hotels, restaurants and services will surely disappoint you.

Koh Rong, an idyllic island off the coast of Cambodia, captivates visitors with its pristine beaches, azure waters, and lush tropical landscapes. Stepping onto its shores feels like entering a paradise untouched by time. The island offers a diverse range of activities, from lazing on the powdery white sands of Long Beach to exploring the vibrant marine life through snorkeling or diving in crystal-clear waters.
The laid-back atmosphere of Koh Rong is complemented by the friendly locals and charming beachfront accommodations. Accommodations vary from rustic bungalows to upscale resorts, catering to different preferences and budgets. The island's nightlife, centered around beach parties and fire shows, adds a lively touch to the tranquil setting.
For nature enthusiasts, trekking through the dense jungles reveals hidden waterfalls and panoramic viewpoints. However, the island strikes a balance between adventure and relaxation, making it suitable for both thrill-seekers and those seeking serenity.
While the lack of extensive infrastructure contributes to its unspoiled charm, visitors should be prepared for basic amenities. Limited Wi-Fi and sporadic electricity may be encountered, but these elements only enhance the rustic experience of Koh Rong.
In conclusion, Koh Rong stands as a haven for those seeking an escape from the hustle and bustle, offering a perfect blend of natural beauty, cultural charm, and a laid-back atmosphere.

Slice of Paradise. Clear turquoise waters and white sandy beaches. Buuut - also depends where exactly you go. We stayed at Luna Resort for that much needed peace and quiet after a hectic Phuket and Koh Chang. Totally worth it. But would advise to come with some 7-Eleven shopping before coming as no shops nearby like in the beaches in the south. Loved it
Andy Karemani — Google review
My experience on Koh Rong left me utterly dissatisfied, contradicting the dream that was sold to me of a paradise with white-sand beaches and crystal-blue waters. While those elements were present to some extent, the pervasive issue overshadowing the island is the alarming amount of rubbish strewn across its shores.
Staying at Koh Touch only intensified this problem, with an overwhelming amount of litter around the numerous restaurants. Even resorts, where efforts were occasionally made to clear debris in the immediate vicinity, failed to address the broader concern. Long Srt Beach, extending a wide length of the island, was shockingly inundated with refuse. Resorts along the beach made token efforts to tidy the area directly in front of their deckchairs, but just a short stroll down the beach revealed heaps of rubbish washing up from other regions or carelessly discarded by locals.
Even seemingly quieter beaches like Coconut Beach and Long Beach (Sok San) were not immune to this issue, albeit on a slightly smaller scale. Witnessing people sunbathing and taking pictures seemingly oblivious to the garbage surrounding them left me deeply disheartened.
Despite the evident problem, there was a stark lack of visible efforts to address it. Instead of witnessing active initiatives to combat the issue, I observed half-naked sunbathers and individuals practicing yoga amidst encroachments of plastic. The island has been declared unsafe for swimming due to contamination, yet this did not deter people from indulging in the waters. The stark contrast between the island's natural beauty and the blatant environmental neglect is disconcerting and demands urgent attention.

I love this island. It has the perfect blend of fun and beauty. If you want peaceful paradise there is a beach for it. If you want all night party there is a beach for it.... Never seen more perfect sand and sea. Also Koh Rong Ink do great tattoos and Koh Rong Pub Crawl is really fun 😁

Super nice waterfall. You can take a kayak or SUP from the sea and paddle about 1 km up and walk to the waterfall. It is a small sign on the right side then u have to walk through some water. When u come out on the road take left and walk up the hill and u will see the entrance.

When beach is rough, this place is good to visit. Can come closer to waterfall. It's already chilly while October. Not warm deep inside forest. Swim wear will be recommendable if you wanna dive in.

Just about 20 minutes riding motorbike & 10 minutes trekking. The trekking trail is easy for children & old people too, no need to climb. The water is cool & beautiful; but should visit on a sunny days & avoid rainny days since the surrounding areas are kinda quite.

15 minute walk from the parking. The path is pretty easy and straight forward. The very last part requires a little climbing and hopping on rocks. Average health or with children should be fine.
It's a pretty cool rock surface to walk on and at the end there is a pool and the waterfall. However in the off season, Jan-feb, there is no water in the waterfall. Still worth a visit.

Best to visit during the rainy season. During winter months the water levels are low and it's worth s visit only if you're on the island for an extended stay. It's an easy walk through the nature trail to the waterfall. Also don't stop at the location shown by Google maps, continue driving straight from this location until you see a proper designated parking lot. The entrance to the waterfall is right next to it.

Biggest waterfall on Koh Kood, great place to visit during or after the rain season, it’s one of the best attractions to spend few hours refreshing! Enjoy swimming, picnic, relaxing, taking pictures or even exploring down the river!
(Is a 10 minute walk from the parking-entry, where you’ll be ask to make a voluntarily donation to help keep the place safe and clean, any amount is ok the walk is very easy, however the rocks around the waterfall are slippery and must be very careful. during the rainy season the volume of water might be very high and unsafe to swim in some occasions)
R.Q. — Google review
The reviews worried me a bit as my mother is in her late sixties and a lot of the reviews made the path seem treacherous, and yes if it were soaked, it would be slippery but it was a very easy and doable walk to the rocky beach. Rope to swing on, people don't leave their trash. Lovely swim.
Don't expect immaculate free toilets and amenities at a public waterfall on a rustic island maybe 🤷♀️

Very beautiful waterfall however not easy to access as you need to walk through a muddy rocky walk path .Toilets were not clean and had no water !!! If your young and adventurous go and enjoy it , if your 40+ be very careful.

Khlong Phlu waterfall is a serene tourist attraction situated amidst lush greenery. This tranquil waterfall features a sizeable swimming hole, which offers visitors the perfect opportunity to cool off in the refreshing water. To reach this natural wonder, tourists can take an easy 600 meter walk along a scenic path from the entrance. Visitors are required to pay an entry fee of 40 baht per person (for Thai).
Khlong Phlu Waterfall in Koh Chang is a splendid natural attraction worth visiting. Despite the 200 Baht entrance fee, the experience is quite rewarding. The waterfall itself is a picturesque scene, providing a tranquil and refreshing environment ideal for relaxation and photography.
Visitors should be prepared for a bit of a trek to reach the waterfall, as the path can be rugged. It's advisable to wear secure and comfortable shoes to navigate the uneven terrain safely. Overall, for those looking to immerse themselves in nature's beauty, Khlong Phlu Waterfall is a worthwhile destination.
Pauline Mulvaney — Google review
Perhaps because I've seen much better waterfalls this didn't really do it for me. It's not bad, but had I known what it was like, I probably wouldn't spend 200 Baht (40 Baht for Thai) to visit. It lies at the end of a 500 meter trail through the forest with a small viewpoint of the river en route. It's popular with people wanting to swim in the pond at the bottom of the waterfall. Parking motorcycles at the entrance to the Park is another 20 Baht.
Miles Macdonald — Google review
A pretty little park to visit... but make sure you visit during the right season. In April, we're far enough out of the wet season that there was barely a trickle over the rocks. We played with the fish and took some nice pics but saw little of the waterfall.
Ken S — Google review
Great way to spend a few hours. The waterfall is around 500m from the ticket office. We visited today and although it's the dry season, it rained briefly this morning, which made the path to the waterfall a little treacherous. It's over rocks and roots so is a little rough in just flip flops. We made it safely, but it's better to wear proper shoes if you have them.
The waterfall itself is lovely. The water is very clear and fresh. There's a pool at the bottom of the waterfall which is deep, and there are lifejackets available. The pool extends around 100m or so to some rocks, and by the time it reaches the rocks it's very shallow. So you have the option of just wading and getting your feet wet, or going for a proper swim.
The water is full of some very curious fish, who like to nibble at your feet. It's a nice, relaxing half-day trip.
Prices:
Parking (motorbike) - 10 Baht
Parking (car) - 20 Baht
Entry fee (Thai national) - 40 Baht
Entry fee (foreigner) - 200 Baht

A nice waterfall and swimming area. Access is over rocks, tree roots and it quite uneven so not suitable if you dont like small trails through the rainforest. Water is crystal clear with fish. The only toilets are at the entry so get changed into swimmers before u walk up. Takes about 25mins to walk all the way to the waterfall. Take water with u as there are no vendors selling anything nearby.

Entry Ticket 200 baht/person for foreign (40 baht/Thai people). We come here on July 2023 & the waterfall is falling heavily. From the entrance you may go trekking for about 30 minutes, and beware of slippery trails. It is a easy trekking trip for kids too. There are 5 stations but actually the concept of each station is not clear. Water is clear & there
are many fish, but it's also a little bit dangerous to climb & swim in deep water. Worth a try for a half-day activity on the island.
Leo Nguyen — Google review
What a beautiful waterfall full of curious fish that will be following you in the water! This place is spectacular! We spent hours there and absolutely love it. The hike is very easy, basically anyone can do it. It's a bit expensive to get in as a foreign but totally worth it. A must see while in Koh Chang!
Carla J. — Google review
฿40 to park a car and ฿200 for non-Thai. Pleasant staff and the trail is in really good condition. The whole trail is shaded and only opens up at the waterfall itself. Not too busy but not empty around 13:00 and the fall is still worth seeing in the Dry Season. 40 minutes from car park to fall if you stop at viewpoints and take photos, 20 minutes if you don’t stop. Advisable to wear shoes as although the trail is fairly easy, there are parts that are momentarily steep or require proper footholds.
r2thebizel — Google review
Waterfall with a pool to swim in. It was fairly easy to walk through the natural path, around 600m from the entrance to reach the waterfall. Entry fee 40 baht per person (for Thai).

Swimming at the waterfall viewing spot (at the end of the trail) is not allowed but we could swim at the big clear pool or shallow waterfalls along the way there. Lots of Pluang fish in the area, some of small ones come to do fish spa for free! Dipping into cold fresh water is a great relaxing and fun acivity esp for kids. Quite a safe place for kids who are able to swim.
Also, parking lots at the entrance are available and convenient for cars and motorcycles. No need to park outside the National Park area (and pay more).

I write many reviews and I really am stuck on what to write here ! I want to be positive but it’s not made easy by the experience if I’m honest. I live in Thailand and I am not a tourist - dual pricing is still common in Thailand and they show no shame at all - it’s like they don’t want tourists to visit these places !!
So I have pale skin so I paid 200baht and my wife paid 40baht even though I hold a Thai ID and spend all my income in Thailand.
If I question this I am told it helps maintain the park or waterfall or golf course or whatever you are over charged for. Well maintenance is certainly not funded by my entrance fee or anybody else’s - the hand rails are either broken or missing so no spending there !
Another over staffed place - 1 very bored man to sell you a ticket without eye contact or a smile - a second man 5 meters away to check your ticket !!
We wandered up the 600meters of very unstable and rocky path and even managed not to break an ankle or 2, using the poorly fitted ropes in ad hoc locations we reached the waterfall -
Niagara it is not, so don’t get too excited
I am glad I did this trip but really unlikely to return.
Sorry this has been so negative but it’s hard to praise such an experience.

Khlong Phlu Waterfalls is one of the treasures of Koh Chang and is a must visit for all travelers. I've been here a number of times with family and friends. The path is a mountainous 600 meter trek so watch out for small kids and elders. The final swimming pool at the waterfall has the fish that eat the skin off your feet like the fish spas but by Mother Nature. You can also jump off both sides of the rock formation, an 7 foot drop into the water.

Nice and chilled waterfall with a little hike through the jungle. We visited the waterfall end of october in rainy season and it was perfect.
There is a parking space for 20 Baht right before the entrance. If you are lucky you can also drive through the entrance and park directly on one of the few free parking spaces.

Koh Chang is not just about beaches. If you are bored with beaches and want to take bath in fresh water, then there are 5 to 6 waterfalls in Koh Chang. Among them Khlong Phlu waterfalls is the best. You have to hike for 500 mts to reach the falls. It is a very easy hike. Also you have to get an entry pass as this waterfalls is located inside a national park.

Beautiful waterfall, short hike. Crystal clear water. Bring good shoes, the rocky, wet path is challenging in flip flops. Also wear your bathing suit.

Nice 1,5 hours walk from our resort to this beautiful waterfall. We’ve spend some time there, my daughter swam a little in the clear water with some fish in it.
During dry season, the water fall had little water. But nevertheless it’s nice there. Calm, pure nature and far away from rest of the island

I recently visited the waterfall in Koh Chang near White Sand Beach and had a wonderful time.
The trekking and trail walk to the waterfall offered stunning views of the surrounding nature.
Although the entrance fee for non-Thai people was 200 baht, which I found a bit pricey, the clear water lake with many visible fishes made it worthwhile.
Rith Pisey — Google review
200 baht entrance fee seemed a bit steep but it was a nice walk up and the falls and swimming area were beautiful and refreshing. Some quite large fish to look at and the smaller ones do nibble your feet but a really nice way to relax.
Go there early to avoid the annoying Russians!

Water fall is about 900m from the gate. It is applied entrance fee. The walking pass to the wall is made by people walked and step on stone and route of tree too. And up and down. We saw an older person came with son but it is tough to walk.
At the end we can see this wall. Water is cooler and many dishes there. Once you step in and stand still, you feel something biting your foot. Fish like doctor fishes are biting foot.
Worth to come and enjoy cooler water.

Lovely place. Hike in can be a little slippery at times depending on the weather as well. There are guide ropes at certain points that are helpful as well. Could be a little challenging for people with mobility issues. Very scenic walk in. Well kept areas. Lovely waterfall with nice pool underneath to cool off. Did have a few nibblie fish but not too bad. Definite must see of Koh Chang. 200baht to get in for adults.
kylie maree — Google review
Went there in April 2024. Price for an adult- 200 thb.
It’s a very short 10-15 min light hike to the waterfall. The forest is beautiful and very lush green with butterflies flying all around you.
If you come early in the morning you will be able to enjoy the swim to the waterfall on your own.

Khao Kheow Open Zoo is an exotic destination that offers a unique experience of witnessing African mammals, tigers and apes in their natural habitats. Located amidst the hills and dense jungle, this zoo is divided into two zones - green and pink. You can choose to rent a tram or golf cart to explore the park. The animals are kept in their natural habitats, making it feel like you're on a real safari adventure.
I came here in the morning on the weekend. There weren't many people in the morning. Entry price is 250 baht for adults. If you come to Thailand, you should definitely come here. There are many animals inside. You feel very close to them as it is open zoo. You also have the chance to feed many animals. I fed an elephant and it was very enjoyable. There are also wild monkeys as it is an open zoo. You should pay attention to these. They can harm you or steal your belongings. Since the zoo is very large, I definitely recommend renting a golf cart. Not too expensive just 500 baht. 4 people can use it.

I like it, always nice to get some open air and interact with animals. some visits are up to the animals, are they sleeping, eating, playing. the set shows of the March of the penguins is constant and usually popular and can buy snack to feed them on stage. the swimming with elephants is always popular and when busy people need to que up early for the next show. feeding the elephants and giraffes is also popular and a good photo opportunity. this year traffic was down and there seemed to be less animals. they are also upgrading a couple of the parking lots. easy to park, can ride several available trolleys or rent a electric golf cart for a fee about 500 baht and up depending on size and time 4 seats or 6 seats a couple hours or more.
the carts are nice but the trolleys work well and you only need a cart to go to the big cat , guar, Australia section. the rest is close enough to walk easily.
watch out for the roaming monkeys. some are aggressive to snatch food or a purse out of your hands, will climb into carts looking for snacks. usually don't fear you and can chase a person out of a cart. if they see a cane, walking stick or slingshot they usually will leave you alone.
there are several well placed snack and restroom options.

When you enter the zoo, you think this is going to be an amazing place where all of the animals can roam around. Unfortunately, this is not the case for animals. The elephant show is too much! The chains before the show and so on are not okay - I wish my kid didn't have to see this.
Pink zone is very small, and after pink zone, there is nothing - the park seems to be abandoned at the end of the park - very strange feeling
Overall a nice park, but they could do better for some animals

Totally in love with this open zoo! This is my first time visit, staff is very nice and polite. We parked the car at parking lot, bought ticket, adult 150 THB each, and 80THB for parking lot. You can rent buggy 500THB per 2 hours (can sit up to 4) or EV 3 wheel bike 350THB per 2 hrs including insurance (can sit 2).
The zoo is very large, you can see and feed eld's deer outdoor. Many money! Be careful of you belogging, they love to steal things.
We rent EV 3 wheels bike and drove along the green zone, you can enjoy seeing hippo, sloth, capybara. They are all cute and look very healthy!
Overall i had a very good experience here and will definitely come back to see more shows.

1. It was a good zoo.
2. Some animals like seal and many others looked sad and almost about to die because of their isolation and drugs.
3. Golf cart is a must to roam around (extra charges).
4. The map of the zoo is available and the posters of the map too.
5. Feeding animals are also there but very sad to see them like that

Fantastic place to bring young kids and the family for weekends activities. Ensure to come to this zoo early in the day as it does get very hot after lunch hours. There's wide variety animals around the zoo and many of them, we can bring the young kids up close with the animals. Food and snacks sell in the zoo is selling at premium, hence I would recommend to bring some snacks for the family. The zoo is massive can and There's the zoo hourly bus that's goes around as well as you can rent the gulf cart to goes around. I would recommend to do planing well as it's impossible to see everything, best to prioritize and plan

One of Thailand's largest zoos contains over 300 animal species in the 2000 acre forest area. Buy the tickets at the entry or the new parking area and then take the free hop-in-tram bus or choose the golf cart (rates apply 550 Baht with the insurance for two hours). Go around the various themed zones and enjoy. Well-maintained, and the staff are kind to help. Every area has snacks, beverage stalls, food courts, 7-Eleven convenience stores, restaurants, and restrooms. You can drive the golf cart or your vehicle to zone 3. Children enjoy and have fun and exciting experience with nature.

A nice zoo for a family outing. The drive to the zoo was awesome; you have to drive around 5km in the depths of a rural area to get to the zoo and the air was amazing on the ride up. Golf carts of 4 and 7 seats are available for personal hire. There are 2 zones. Zone 1/ Zone blue is accessible by walking and golf cart. The majority of animals are there and are within their enclosures. There are monkeys running around so be careful of your belongings and not going near mother monkeys with children (they might bite ya >:3 ). Zone pink is mostly treaded by your own vehicle and has zones for different animals, i.e Australia zone and cat complex. It's a whole day thing and mostly outdoor so plan a whole day for this. Best for kids, since it's just a zoo and not much else. They do have animal shows which can be entertaining. Overall, a great place for a family outing.

Highly recommend renting your own buggy 500 THB and discover the zoo in the most exciting and convenient way. Before entering the zoo's big entrance, turn left and walk 2 minutes to the buggy station. The zoo is huge, walking is abit too much as there are many slopes, or you can take the public tram which runs very often. Many families ride the buggy with grandparents and kids, it is very adorable and fun. The animals here seem to be well taken care of as I noticed their living spaces are well built, clean and spacious. If you're on your way to Pattaya, this place is definitely worth a visit for 2hrs. There are many fast foods and refreshment stations inside with reasonable prices. There is a 7Eleven at the entrance. Easy to find toilets also, no tissue. Best to visit right after opening hrs to avoid the long queue at the buggy rental. You will need to deposit your ID for the buggy, and abit of good driving skill is highly recommended.

A very nice zoo. The monkeys walk around the park. It is very pleasing to the eye. It was disappointing to see that in part of the trip there were some cages that were a little empty. The advantage is that there are many food stalls throughout the park.

Better than Safari World! The golf buggy made it so much more fun and easy to get around the zoo in the heat! Love how some animals can roam around the zoo freely! Very recommended!
Nichi B — Google review
This is very poor value for money 350baht entry +500 for a golf buggy for 2, it felt more like visiting Jurassic park 2... There was no direction for the visit from the staff there.
There are hardly any animals in here compared to the past, many empty enclosures and there is no clear timetable for the shows which happen ~3x a day.
The enclosures are old, half abandoned, falling apart and the grounds are overgrown and unkempt. It felt like a ghost zoo.
We noticed one man zooming around on his moped the whole time shouting at the animals, waving a stick and throwing bananas into the enclosures to make it look Interesting. It was more disturbing.
Be warned the monkeys are roaming everywhere and will steal belongings if left unattended.
The caged cats look emaciated and show signs of stress, I left feeling so sad for the animals welfare/future.
I would have asked for a refund but by 4.45pm hardly any staff were around, I didn't see any near the exit.

Very big zoo, you can drive through on some parts, or rent a golf cart, there is tram.train too. There penguin, feeding and elephant swimming show. Lots of animals are open in the air. Some so close you can touch them. Great day out for a family with children.

Interesting experience at the zoo. Some shows included an elephant swimming and penguins walking to the stage to get fed by tourists or anyone who wants to pay money to feed them.
Very open zoo, did a lot of walking but preferably you should hire a golf kart or take the public round trip safari buses as each area is quite far from the other.
Place is still under construction.

+ You can buy cheap tickets when you arrive
+ You can rent a golf cart and drive around the whole zoo at your own speed.
+ Many animals to see, monkeys, deer, hippo, elephant, lion, tigers, birds, capybaras, giraffes and aquatic animals
+ Monkeys roam the zoo freely, don't get too close or they'll chase you
+ You can feed and interact with some animals. Such as penguins and giraffe.

The space is beautiful and set in an already natural beauty. There is a lot of space and animals are a bit far from each other which makes me believe that it would've been nicer to see the animals with some more space. The enclosures are run down and sincerely too small, especially when there's so much space around.
A big chunk of the zoo is to visit by car seeing that each enclosure is 500m from the previous one. It would've been nice to see that info somewhere.
They basically feed the animals by selling the guests feed. Great business plan but still feels like a steal as every movement inside costs extra.
Not my favourite zoo, but not the worst either. I plan to return as I haven't had the chance to visit half of it and the kid loved it.

Best place to spend morning time with family. The park is full of green and feels more like in natural surroundings. Shows are in various areas and timings are different so better check in their website for more details. Renting a self-driving golf cart is best option if traveling with family.

Could be better if more indicators signs would show where you are, where is the next place to visit. When you pay 300b for the entry, a paper map will be helpful. Chimpanzees or orangutans cannot be seen after 4pm, so you need to arrive early. Rent a golf cart because you will need to walk a lot!

A nice place to hang out with family and friends. You can encounter animals closely. They have a good variety of animal species.
Renting a golf car which is 2 hours validated is the best choice to move around in the zoo.

I would recommend going early to enjoy all the rides in the park. They have food stalls and also there is a kfc inside the park. We clicked great pictures inside and had a lot of fun.
Only thing I faced a problem as a vegetarian there were very less food options. I would also recommend having a pizzeria inside.
Other than that we enjoyed our day at the theme park. A perfect fun place to be in for kids as well as adults who like to do such activities.

They have tickets range from 250 baht-500 baht to even more. Ticket range determines the activities you can enroll inside. But, i suggest 500 Baht ticket is ideal for lots of activities (adult and kids have same ticket price).
All drinks and food are also available inside (from reasonable to expensive range).

2. Tornado
3. Swing boat
4. Go cart
5. Giant Water tubing
6. Ice house

some hat to stay longer at Snow town.
You can pay there ONLY cash or Thai Bank scan QR. But near cashier they have SCB ATM.
And food mostly Thai and they have a KFC but was very crowded. And be aware that around 5 PM we couldn’t find anything to eat there.

Dream World is an expansive wonderland with over 40 thrilling rides, promising an adventure-filled day. Its sheer size allows for an extensive array of attractions, catering to every taste for adrenaline rushes. However, during peak holiday seasons, the park bustles with activity, resulting in lengthy queues for rides.
Despite the wait, the staff stands out for their helpfulness and friendly demeanor, making the experience more pleasant. The amusement park's affordability is a definite plus, offering a pocket-friendly escapade into fun and excitement.
Despite the crowds, the variety of rides ensures an unforgettable time. From heart-pounding roller coasters to family-friendly attractions, Dream World delivers on excitement and entertainment. The only downside lies in the long waiting lines during peak times, which might test patience.
Overall, Dream World is a super fun destination that provides great value for its diverse range of rides and affordability. Prepare for crowds during holidays but rest assured, the experience is worth it for the thrill-seekers and families looking for an exciting day out.

Recommended for those who love amusement parks and have some free times during their stay in Bangkok, this is conveniently located just an hour from the city center.
The experience is enhanced when shared with a group of friends. Even I’m not a fan of the thrilling rides, I enjoyed my time. Families with children can delight in a charming parade at around 3 pm in front of the Giant house area.

The place has various kinds of fun rides such as the Sky Coaster, the Speed Mouse Coaster, Grand Canyon, Super Splash, and more. Also, the ticket fee is not that expensive. Before I went on Sunday, I bought the ticket with 790 baht on Friday Night which we can play all things with unlimited. Ty e safety for coaster is good and service is good; environment is clean as the area is wide enough. I like the snow town especially. The food is not that much to eat only some kinds of street food and KFC in it. Also, 4D watch has only one displayed all the time when I go to Dream World. It would be nice to expand more on it. We can get good parking area. A good place to go when visiting in Thailand.

It's a pretty cool theme park. Some of the less popular attractions aren't maintained that well (like miniature buildings). All the rides felt safe although not as many good rides as I expected. They aren't set up to give you photos on the rides like many of the theme parks in Western countries are.
Not to crowded so you can spend a lot of time on rides without lining up too much.

I recently visited Dreamworld in Bangkok, and it was a delightful experience for both adults and children alike. The theme park, with its wide range of attractions and beautifully landscaped gardens, offers a perfect escape for a day of fun and adventure.
Upon entering, I was impressed by the park’s organization and cleanliness. The staff were friendly and helpful, providing clear directions and assistance throughout the park.
The variety of rides and attractions at Dreamworld is commendable. From thrilling roller coasters to family-friendly rides, there is something for everyone. The Space Mountain and the Viking Ship were particularly exhilarating, providing the right amount of thrill. For those who prefer milder entertainment, the cable car offers a serene view of the entire park.
Dreamworld also excels in its fantasy-themed areas. The Snow Town was a unique experience, offering a wintry wonderland in the heart of tropical Bangkok. The kids especially enjoyed the opportunity to play in the snow and try the sleds.
The food options within the park were plentiful, with a variety of eateries serving both local and international cuisine. The prices were reasonable, and the food quality was satisfactory, keeping us energized for the day.
The only downside was that some of the attractions had long waiting lines, which can be a bit tiresome, especially under the hot sun. I recommend arriving early or planning your visit on a weekday to avoid the crowds.
In conclusion, Dreamworld Bangkok provides a fantastic day out for families and thrill-seekers. With its wide array of attractions, beautiful settings, and efficient operations, it promises a memorable experience. I would definitely recommend a visit to anyone looking for a fun and adventurous day in Bangkok.

Here is the most popular amusement park in Thailand. I came here when I was a teenager. Now i'm 30+ years old and I'm back with my cousins.
Many machines I used to play are still running with great maintenance. 2-3 new machines are added with new photo zones since 10+ years ago.
Safari World Bangkok is a popular zoo and entertainment park in the heart of Bangkok, drawing both tourists and locals alike. This expansive 480-acre park, established in 1988, offers an immersive experience into Thailand's diverse wildlife. Divided into two sections - Marine Park and Safari Park - visitors can explore a wide range of animal habitats. The park features safari rides, marine attractions, live feedings, and thrilling stunt shows that cater to both education and entertainment.

Also, the feeding activities are very interesting (but pricey😓). You can feed baby tiger, giraffe, kangaroo, camel, and etc.

It's a great place to spend the day, loaded with a variety of shows and animals. Macaws, a Walrus, Meerkats, Kangaroos, an Owl, Turtle, Pelicans, Flamingos, and more were there. I attended the Orangutan show, Spy Wars, Elephant show, Dolphin show, and Sea Lion show. While the Dolphin show is considered the highlight, I personally preferred the Sea Lion show. Additionally, the Elephant painting was quite interesting to see. I skipped the cowboy show as it got too hot. I would recommend bringing a cap/hat, umbrella, and sunglasses if you're visiting in the hot season. A major drawback here is that they don't allow food or drinks inside; you have to purchase them inside, which is slightly more expensive.
Later, I visited the open zoo adjacent to the park. You can see it when you go to the Giraffe feeding area - carnivores animals are kept in another section bounded with electric fencing. It was nice to see the animals roaming around, but as it was very hot, even the tigers were inside their puddles.

Exploring Safari World in Bangkok, Thailand was a fantastic adventure, and the shows were undeniably a standout feature of my visit. The entertainment options were diverse and thoroughly enjoyable, catering to a wide range of preferences.
The variety of shows, from animal performances to thrilling stunts, kept me engaged and entertained throughout the day. The level of skill and coordination displayed by the performers, coupled with the unique blend of wildlife interaction, added an extra layer of excitement to the overall experience.
One of the highlights was witnessing the incredible intelligence and talents of the animals showcased in the performances. The shows not only provided entertainment but also offered valuable insights into the natural behaviors and abilities of various species.
Moreover, the interactive elements allowed visitors to feel more connected to the wildlife. Whether it was getting up close to the animals or participating in activities, the shows at Safari World created a sense of immersion and engagement.
The seamless combination of entertainment and education made the experience not only enjoyable but also enriching. I would highly recommend Safari World to anyone seeking a day filled with fun, excitement, and a deeper appreciation for the incredible world of wildlife.
One can feed various animals or take pictures with them all at the prices mentioned there. The shows are timed so make sure to be mindful about the time and reach the show to watch fully.

A very good place to visit. The shows they're playing is good we had no time to see the sea lion show due to our time schedule so please try to enter the place in the morning itself, we saw dolphin show, elephant show and one spy war show these all were really good.We can see every animal living in the forest and they are all together living in one compound. Only lions, tigers and bears were separated from them for a longer life for other animals 😅. It's a wonderful experience. We can ride with our own vehicle and that's a good thing. Only thing to remember is to close the windows and not drive fast inside this perimeter .

This is an amazing place and a must visit place when in Thailand. There are various shows such as Dolphin, Orangutan, Elephant, Spy /Stunt, Open zoo / Safari. The shows are amazing and well planned. This is a full day activity, so ensure that you take caps, water and all items for the entire day.
There are Indian Restaurants and various food options available inside. We went to a restaurant called Savanna which offered a Indian buffet.

Fun and elegant experience with nature and it’s wild. It’s well maintained and each n every animal is taken care of. No usage of drugs. No torturing of animals. Shows that happen in Safari World shall be conduct in ENGLISH rather than their own national language, so that everyone including the foreigners can understand whats going on. Must visit place in Thailand.

All those cute little animals, is really worth the trip.
Recommend to hire a private driver and car for the whole trip start with hotel pick up/drop off.
No outside drinks allowed so kindly leave it in your car. Wear something comfortable as there’s lots of walking and kinda hot.

Went here today this is what I thought of the place
1—-managing a park I will give them -10 , you turn up the ticket counters are a mess someone people are following politeness and lining up and other just walk in and go up to the counters so there is no one from management ensuring the smooth flow of people doing the right thing
2— extremely very busy park we went on a Friday and you have to really push people if you wanna watch a show very very busy
3—-they say no bottles and food allowed because they want you to buy their overpriced water and drinks and food
4— all the animal parts you go to every single one of them they wanna make money from you by selling you a bucket of food for 150-200 local currency
5— not the cleanest park I guess it’s a huge park and may be less staff don’t know
6—- the animals did not look healthy to us it was a hot day and they were all grasping for air may be not enough shady areas for animals
7— they had few shows we watched 4 of them you have to make sure you really rush to get good seats or else forget it don’t bother even watching them
8— every single thing inside the park you wanna do you pay extra
9— parking is free
10- safari park now that was. The best part of the trip
11- will highly recommend do not go in the zoo bus paying 100 local currency per person you won’t have a good time at all
12-we rented a car and went inside the safari in our rented car best experience ever
13- certainly I would say they could improve the park
14- tiger lions areas was the best worth it
15- drive your own car you can park in the tigers encounter and just stay in your car and watch them a very good experience indeed
16- there is a seven eleven right next to the exit so you can go get your normal priced drinks and food
17- you would need the whole day easy .
18- we came across some polite staff and some very very very horrible staff that was not a nice thing to do see specially towards kids so that was not a nice thing
I would certainly recommend the place worth. A visit

Very good place spend a whole day. Parking is available. Try to reach there at 9am so that you can watch all show timely and completely. Best is the dolphin show. If you like this review, please like and comment. Thank you.

It was a surreal experience. The premises and animal enclosures were super neat and clean. All the animals are treated well and looked healthy.
The highlight of the visit were the animal shows at different arenas. All the staff are well behaved and helpful. I had lunch there as well and it was satisfactory with all the crowd management.
I literally have no suggestions they are functioning with such magnificence. Good Luck to all the crew and workers.

You have to visit this place if you are visiting Bangkok with family and kids. Huge zoo area, neat and well maintained animal cages. The ride at the entrance will give you experience of roaming in the jungle and witness wildlife in their natural habitat. The experience is amazing. They have various shows (schedule and timing of the show will be provided to you). This is one of the best zoos I've visited. Highly recommended.

If you love wild life, you have to visit this place. Especially if you have kids. So many shows to watch. Elephant show, Dolphin show, Orangutan Show and most favourite Sea lion show. You need a lot of time to explore the entire park. Wonderful experience for a family outing. Most shows are in Thai language. Thats the only drawback.
Amit Beloshe — Google review
It was a busy day at Safari World. They offered a bus for an extra 100 because walking inside the zoo isn't allowed. Maybe renting a car is better for seeing the animals. The animal shows are a bit crowded, making finding a seat difficult. If you want to feed the animals, you need to pay extra for their food. Also, they don't allow outside drinks or food.Despite the challenges, it was definitely worth it.
Florami Carael — Google review
Safari World was a blast! Loved the stunt and animal shows, especially seeing the animals chilling in their natural spots. The elephant and dolphin shows were my absolute favorites. It’s a cool place to catch some fun shows and get up close with wildlife. Definitely a must-do if you’re into that sort of thing.

This is the most terrible place. If you actually think this is entertainment, then you have something very wrong with you. The tigers are kept in beyond cruel conditions, and many are pathetically thin. They have no natural enrichment at all. They are all exhibiting distressed behaviours, such as pacing. These places should be illegal, and SHAME on you if you visit. I visited for the purposes of research, and I found it deeply, deeply distressing. 95% of the visitors I saw were Indian. The Thai government should close these places down.

They're abusing animals here. The animals are unhappy. They have cages that are too small, overcrowded, and with too few toys inside. They ride on elephants. The elephants are tied up in a way that they can't move. You can see how sad they are. The sight breaks your heart. This should be banned.

A nice mini zoo, the entrance fee can use as money to buy food and water along with food for feeding animals.
The zoo is not that big, with a great atmosphere and many places to take a photo. You can ride a horse and elephants. The riding horse fee is 2 rounds for 200 Baht, 30 mins for 500 Baht. The coach is very nice and teaches a lot of tricks before riding.

This isn’t how the majority of these animals are supposed to live. Do not visit. They are wild animals, not small pets that can be locked up in small cages.

The BTS Skytrain is an elevated 3-level rapid transit system that covers a distance of 33 miles and operates with a fleet of 4-car trains. On weekends, visitors can take the Bangkok Skytrain to Mo Chit Station for a vibrant experience filled with delicious food, affordable souvenirs, and great people-watching opportunities.
The Ancient City, also known as Muang Boran in Thai, is a vast outdoor museum that spans 240 acres and is designed to resemble the shape of Thailand. It features over 100 miniature replicas of famous Thai buildings and sites, including temples, palaces, pavilions, and stupas. These replicas are meticulously placed in geographic precision to their real counterparts. The museum offers visitors the opportunity to explore historical sites up close and gain insights into Thai history through these accurate representations.
This is certainly a must for anyone visiting or living in Thailand. The Ancient City is the largest outdoor museum in the world, preserving Siamese true heritage. The Ancient City allows both foreign and Thai nationals to appreciate the history of Thailand. There are 121 sites, some are reconstructed on a scale of about 1 in 3 while others are as big as the original. One can hire a bicycle, an electric bike or even a golf cart to travel around the plus/minus 200 acres. If you have your own car, you can enter the city at a fee.

Massive museum park with stunning architecture! Make sure to set aside a whole day if you want to get the full experience. The self-drive mini-cart is the best way to get around IMO. There are also bikes for rent if you want to burn calories while exploring the park. The guided tours are great but only stop at a few locations. Overall, one of the best experiences in Bangkok for architecture and history buffs. As a bonus, You will also get to see some local wildlife around the park.

Lovely experience. The temples and shrines are beautifully done to the smallest level of detail. I recommend renting a buggy and each person having a personal umbrella to cover from the sun. Don't forget your sun block and drink plenty of water. Took us a good 1 hour to drive through the entire park and made around 3-4 stops to experience the temple. You can easily spend half a day there but the heat was unforgiving at the time.

Although the ticket is a bit expensive, it’s worth to go.
We drove in the place by adding 400b more for the car. It’s convenient and nice. There are also other choices like golf cab or bike which are also good. We stayed there for about 4 hours but definitely can be longer if you are not tired.
The maintenance is quite good. So you can really enjoy some good views. Snack counters and toilets are sufficient. Toilets are clean and with proper papers.
Overall, it’s a good experience.

Very big and around 10km in total. You can easily spend whole day here if you want to explore and visit all the attractions.
Important:
1.Bring extra clothes as you will sweat a lot (free sauna).
2.Bring extra socks also as you need to remove your shoes/slippers when you enter the temples.
3.Take the golf car not the bike because it’s very hot and sunny, or else you will get grilled easily.
4. Bring hat, cap, umbrella and folding fans to protect yourself from the super hot weather.
5.Buy tickets online as it is way cheaper.
You can buy food and water inside so no worries.
Better to get there earlier so you will enjoy and no photo bombers.

One of the largest outdoor museums in the world, constructed by Lek Viriyaphant. The site is set over a large area and features some beautiful reproductions of some of Thailand’s iconic and mythical buildings that you are free to explore at your leisure.
It takes around 2 hours to traverse the park by golf cart, which I highly recommend for shade and comfort as it makes the experience more enjoyable and offers relief from the sun.
Quick tip: book your tickets online as it is half price. They will.l not always inform you of this when purchasing tickets on the door. We bought them online while at the park gate and they were available immediately.

Great halfway trip from Bangkok. Very easy to reach. Take the green line to Keha and jump on one of the pick-up taxis waiting at the station (they are marked with a 36 on the roof). The ride to the Ancient City costs 10 Baht. Once at the entrance, tickets are 700 Baht (400 if you have a Thai work permit or driver's license; there seem to be discounted tickets available online as well so that's worth checking out). You can rent an e-bike for 250 Baht (3h, every additional hour costs an extra 100 Baht but 3h is doable even with a coffee break). The park is massive and very well taken care of. Was there on a slightly cloudy Saturday, perfect weather for some sightseeing, still there were very few people in the park. There are small coffee shops and toilets at every corner, super convenient. Lots of great photo stops, history and Thai culture to be explored. Cruising around on an e-bike is great fun. There's a lot to see and only two of the sites were inaccessible due to maintenance work. Once you're done, bring back the scooter and cross the main street via foot bridge on your left so you can wave down one of the pick-up taxis (again, 10 Baht, marked with a 36 on the roof). A great and fun getaway from the city!

The park area is very large, so I recommend taking a golf cart to move around it. We took many beautiful photos. However, it seemed to us that everything looked very artificial and a little toy-like. The park's disadvantage is the lack of greenery and the fact that all buildings are made hastily from cheap materials. Also, many objects are under reconstruction. We spent 3 hours in the park and didn't see everything. We were advised to book tickets in advance to get a discount on the price.
Despite some drawbacks, Ancient Siam is a great place for photo shoots. We took many beautiful photos and enjoyed visiting the park. If you are looking for a place for bright and memorable photos, this place is definitely worth a visit.

Amazing place!
You can learn a lot of most of the wonders of Thailand in just one Park and very very affordable price (even if you buy the package including a nice Thai buffet lunch). Be aware to come early since it will take you long to see all the the scenes in this park (more or less 10 km). You can find gardens, statues, temples, recreations of monumental buildings, real elephants and other animals, restaurants, a museum, and even a small Thai farm-village.

Do not miss this place. Its about an hour away from the city centre but can travel easily by the hreen line metro and shuttle no 36. This place has more than 100 monuments, from across Thailand. Some are conceptual as well. We didn't take any golf car or bus, but would recommend it, especially if you are visiting during the summer time. However, not taking the bus would mean more time at every site and no rush. There's also a restaurant inside, which serves buffet. For a better deal, buy your tickets in advance on Klook and its better to include the buffet. The place is huge so even if there are visitors, there's no crowd.

Absolutely enjoyed it. Get the choice to rent a bicycle or a driver at the entrance. The service is already included in the ticket admission. We went for the bikes as we want to be more flexible when it comes to stopping and taking it in as opposed to having to be considered for other people. Also, it was a good exercise and the breeze was very enjoyable. The park itself is huge! So many beautiful things to see. Pagodas, temples, statues, gardens, ruins, boats, etc. The lost goes on and on. We were the only ones in the massive park when we arrived at around 10:30am. Nobody, but workers that helped maintaining the place, did we meet, which kind of felt like a VIP experience but on the downside, the park and the people are depending on the tickets so we hope that there will be a surge of tourists or more locals soon. COVID really made it a lonely experience since restaurants towards the center or the other end of the park were not even operating. The people deserve to be imbursed for their hard work and need it more than ever now!

The park is huge and the buildings are dizzying. The scenic spot provides golf carts, electric motorcycles, bicycles, and of course you can drive your own car. Personal recommendation, if there are few people, I recommend electric motorcycles, and if there are many people, choose golf carts. The entire scenic spot is still under construction, and each building is imitated very realistically. Every building wants to stay in the camera, which is suitable for playing all day. If there are some scenic spots in the park, you can check in here, and the effect is almost the same.

Perfect place to explore Thai culture. Accessible by BTS. I recommend borrowing a traditional costume (directly in the park) and then your pictures will be absolutely awesome. We had an amazing half day there. Park offers a lot of visitor facilities, and you don't need to bring anything with you.

Quite touristy, many of the temples are not originals and are either replicas or built with some "creative liberty". A very fun place to go and ride around, but expect tourist fun, not an authentic Thai experience.
Definitely get your tickets off of klook! It's much cheaper. And get a golf cart if you can, not many of the temples are worth going in but it's very fun to ride around the outside. The complex is huge so it would be very difficult to walk. Fun, but manage your expectations.

Ancient City has been regarded as one of the largest open-air museums in the world. Visitors can see many significant places in Thailand, for example, castles, palaces, temples, and sculptures. Some are models, but some are the originals that were taken from certain places. The exhibitions in the Ancient City are divided according to regions for visitors to enjoy and appreciate the core of the multi-faceted culture. The experience gives the impression of traveling the whole country within a day.
Norman Rabaýa — Google review
This place was awesome! We did not have enough time in 2 hours to go through the whole city. If you have the whole day, you could skip the golf cart rental and walk the entire place. If you need to finish in a certain amount of time, then rent a cart and park on the areas that are designated for the carts and walk portions of the city or just drive through and stop at the main sights. Please note that there are a good number of places that require shoes off to enter and some areas where no photos can be taken.

It's a really cool place! I wouldn't add it to the main attraction list when I am short of time in Thailand. It's more of a nice to have type of thing.A variety of temple representation from across Thailand. Make sure you buy your tickets online to save some money. The golf cart makes it even better it adds so much more to the experience. You can also find elephanta there.I think there are only 4-5 sightings worth visiting the rest you can drive past them. I strongly feel that the exhibitions themselves need to be maintained a bit more thoroughly. The rest of the park is really clean and well maintained. The staff is great and really helpful. Had a great time there.

This is a gorgeously designed and beautifully maintained representation of Thailand. They have segments of native structures and depict different stories across history. A definite must visit if you're in Thailand. Traditional music and food is available throughout. Since the coverage is so much, they have a train tour or you can take in your car or rent a gold buggy/ bicycle to move around. It's better to book the tickets online. When you head to the online booking counter, they hand you a map for easy guidance

This is a very beautiful place. Definitely a tourist trap, but a worthwhile one. Don't make the mistake of thinking the e-bikes would be fun...get a golf cart!!! They do not exchange or refund even after only a few minutes. E-bikes are not comfortable at all!!! We wasted quite a bit of money, but were much happier in the golf cart.

Awesome display of Thai culture. Added benefit we found elephants. We fed the elephants but did not ride. Also bikes and golf carts to get around. So big we could never walk every where 1 day. Also, they are very honest. Made a mistake on my credit card that I did not catch. They actually sent someone to find us to get issue fixed. Not many places would do that. I gave 5 stars for each point made above. The staff and attraction were Awesome. Highly recommend.

This attraction ranks among the finest I have experienced. From the architecturally stunning buildings and statues to the serene water features, every aspect is impeccably organized. The staff also contribute to the exceptional quality of the visit. Given the expansive nature of the area, I highly recommend utilizing a golf cart or an electric vehicle for navigation. Attempting to explore this vast space solely on foot could be quite challenging.
Sam S — Google review
Definitely not a place you can easily walk through due to its massive size; transportation is a must! Unfortunately, bringing your own bike inside is not an option, but there are convenient rental choices available. The facility offers numerous restrooms and eat stations scattered throughout, with a buffet entry fee of 280 baht.
The attractions themselves are impressive, providing opportunities for great photos. Additionally, there's an option to rent traditional costumes for a more enjoyable experience. I appreciate their unique approach, as the exhibits are far from being too simple or generic; I’d say that there's a nice touch to every detail. Not every attraction is a must-see, after spending about half your time there, you'll likely grasp the overall concept and can enjoy the beauty from a distance as you drive through. There are certain areas where long clothes are necessary to cover your legs, but you can just borrow it.
4ish hrs is sufficient to explore the main attractions, drive through the entire area and take occasional breaks at the eateries. Might be different for a big family though, which is different from my experience.

Thanon Khao San, a bustling urban area, is a popular resting place for backpackers offering various types of accommodations, shops, and bars. Once known as a hippie and backpacker haven, it has now evolved into a more upscale destination while still maintaining its affordable lodging options. Located within the Grand Palace in Bangkok, Thailand, the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, also known as Wat Phra Kaew, is a must-see attraction. The temple houses a revered 26-inch emerald Buddha statue and is considered one of the most sacred temples in Thailand. Legend has it that this precious statue originated in India and brings prosperity to the countries where it resides.
We were lucky enough to go to the grand palace and the temple of the Emerald Buddha, while Thailand is still empty due to covid restrictions and a slow restart tourism. It was absolutely incredible. There were probably less than 100 people on the entire premises during our visit. It is spectacular and well worth the visit even if the crowds were much denser. If you take the boat, finding entrances somewhat tricky so do your research.

Even as local, I still can't get enough of this temple. It's elegant craft and detail worked that's go into building this temple is absolutely astounding. It can get very how during the day (especially during the Summer) best time to visit is very early in the morning when the temple just open. It's also good to try to avoid the crowds. Make sure to take the time to enjoy the wall painting along the temple.

The inside of this temple is as impressive as the outside. You can visit as part of the Grand Palace entry.
You can only take photos of the outside of the temple, but it's well worth taking the time to sit down inside and drink in the details. The free brochure they give you at the ticket entrance has a good quick read on the history of the Emerald Buddha.

The time that was taken to construct these temples is heavily felt upon approaching this place. I took advantage of the prayer rooms, the outdoor prayer stations, and taking in the beauty. I met people from all over the world and had great exchanges. As a Christian, I was still able to respect and appreciate another religion and how our beliefs and faith bring us together in such a positive way.
Tips:
-Dress modestly
-Wear socks because some places prohibit shoes
-DO NOT get a Buddha tattoo

Very beautiful and dignified. The tour guide shared about the culture and spiritual beliefs here. The pagoda stands out with a majestic large golden Buddha image. 2 dragons spit out a 7-headed snake. A spiritual place you should visit once!So beautiful!..

Not to be missed when visiting Bangkok. The ticket includes entry to this temple and the Grand Palace (actually this temple is part of the Grand Palace). It includes also a traditional dance show at a nearby theater. It is worth watching it and there are free shuttles just outside the temple. Following Lonely Planet's advice I looked for a guide inside. There were no guides, except for a free tour run by the administration that I believe runs 4 times a day (10, 10:30, and another 2 in the afternoon). Unfortunately, I had hard time understanding the guide (the mask certainly didn't help), so I quit the free tour and followed the free brochure (they have them in several languages) and I was just fine going with that. Most of the people were with guides hired outside the temple and they seemed to do well. It gets quite warm during the day, so my advice is to be there early. There is a lot to see, plan for at least 3-4 hours (combined with the Grand Palace). One more thing, you can't take photos or videos inside the temple.

Was very crowded inside the temple. Would be a good idea to limit the amount of people inside at a time to allow a more enjoyable experience. Prayer can be difficult with everyone trampling around taking selfies and such, not to mention how loud it can be. 5 stars for Buddha, 2 stars for organization.

Everything here is well preserved, the emerald Buddha is kept in the ordination hall or bot.
No photos taken allowed inside the hall so no pictures of Emerald Buddha to share, but it’s magnificent and majestic. I’m proud to be Thai and once in life to visit there.
No shorts 🩳 or revealing outfit allowed there be prepared before step into the temple and after your trip has finished don’t take any taxi 🚖 from there it’s not ordinary taxi the cost way too high I recommend to take a bus go anywhere that far enough from that area then you can take a taxi.
On the way to get there no problem to use taxi or Grab but the way back is super difficult.

If you were to visit only one temple in Bangkok, it might as well be this one. As glamorous and grandiose as a temple can get. Without mentioning the beautiful gardens and scenery.
They change guards periodically and go marching in groups around protecting the palace. As long as you're respectful and don't break any rules, you should have a great time.
And if you happen to be a Buddhist or have similar beliefs, then you'll have a wonderful time.
Even kids might enjoy seeing the giants and sculptures all over the place.
Don't skip on the museum of the Queens fabric. No pictures are allowed on most of the classic dresses and outfits.

The most magnificent and gorgeous temple in Bangkok!
If you only had one day for your trip, definitely visit this temple.
The inside ornaments and design is stunning. The outside is garden is perfect. There are people praying and singing mantra, although I don’t understand Thai, it is a good experience to see this place is still practical in use.

Very beautiful, culturally rich place. You visit here on a combine ticket that you buy for Grand Palace. Must visit place when you are in Bangkok. It provides for a history and the temple is so beautifully designed. The total price of the combined ticket is 500 Thai baht that includes visit to Grand Palace, Emerald Buddha, Museum and the Thai theatre show.

Amazing thai architecture seen in this, the grand palace and the emerald buddha, both are interlinked!! For foreigners they charge a fee of thb 500 for both the emerald buddha and the grand palace!!! Kindly keep in mind no shorts, no torn clothes are allowed, your body should be fully covered!! If not you can buy a Saigon right in front of the temple!!! The place is huge and well maintained

Title: Timeless Majesty: The Grand Palace of Bangkok
A visit to the Grand Palace in Bangkok is a step into a world of unparalleled grandeur and history. The intricate architecture, vibrant gardens, and revered Emerald Buddha create an aura of reverence. The palace's diverse buildings, adorned with captivating art, provide insights into Thai culture and history. A symbol of Thailand's heritage, the Grand Palace stands as a remarkable blend of spirituality, artistry, and regal splendor.

Amazing place! Lots to see! Definitely worth the money!
Be careful; lots of tuktuk drivers will lie to you and say it’s closed. Just checked their website before and you’ll know for sure.
There is a common scam that they’ll do right and bring you to the lucky Buddha instead as it’s closed to tourists

Iconic tourist destination, filled with Thailand's cultural diversity, stories and much more.
The statues and golden Temple blinking in the mid-day sun is just an amazing sight. You have to look up close at the wall, the pillars, the statues to see the details, the complexity which artists put time into.
Around the main site, there is wall mural with so much stories, arts for you to enjoy. If you want to deeper understand the story behind the mural, rent an audio tour or get a tour guide to tell you its story. Magical.
However, be sure to bring an umbrella or you'll have a head-ache from the sun and the bright view of the golden temple.

Is it nice to visit? Sure. Is it worth 500B? I absolutely don’t believe so, especially for a religious site where Thai residents can enter for free but tourists get overcharged. You will need to wear long pants and cover indecent exposed body parts to enter. There are vendors right outside to sell you those at a marked up price.
Ticket includes free admission to an art museum that closes on certain days and a performance show to a theater nearby where you can get free shuttle to at the exit if you have the ticket. I highly recommend going to the Khao show because it is worth 400Baht alone and would make you feel like the 500Baht entrance ticket is somewhat worth it.
The temple itself is pretty nice to see but it’s very crowded nearly everyday. You can see the palace mansion on your way out. There is also an air conditioned museum on your way out.
This would have a higher rating if not for the overpriced ticket.

I find it difficult to come up with words to describe the experience of visiting this remarkable temple. Its opulence is extraordinary, and yet, upon entering I was filled with a sense of tranquility such as I haven’t felt in a while. Perhaps the sincerity of many of those who entered to worship had its effect on me. Regardless, this is a temple that must be experienced to be understood. No photos are allowed in the interior. I believe that’s the way it should be.

It is nice temple with lots of paintings of story of Ramayana in thai style.
The emerald buddha statue is precious.
We stayed inside the main shrine and chant along with monks.

One of the most important and significant Buddhist temples in Bangkok and throughout Thailand, this sacred site draws locals who come to pray with white flowers. I found this tradition truly admirable during my visit to the temple. Moreover, the atmosphere inside was incredibly serene!
The artworks adorning the inner walls are truly astonishing and one could easily spend half an hour simply admiring them. However, it's important to note that using a camera inside the temple is strictly prohibited. The Emerald Buddha Idol, a divine masterpiece, left me in awe. Knowing that such a beautiful artistic, cultural, and religious relic originated from India filled me with a sense of pride as an Indian. (information sourced from the internet) Situated within the Grand Palace complex, this temple is accessible with the same ticket purchased for entry to the Grand Palace.

Yes, this is a must visit. Visiting the Palace is a buy-one-get-two event. In actuality, you'll probably spend more time in the religious portion of the palace (~10% of the site) than in the remainder of the grounds. There is enough to see to keep you busy for a few hours. And it is worth the hours! You will need a map to explore all the nooks and crannies. We walked the entire wall, looking at the artwork. You may want to bone up on your Hindu mythology; there are a lot of mystical creatures and magical bows. Expert tips - Yes, gentlemen do need long pants, which are available on premises, and cheaper (with better variety) if you buy them at a local shop. There is only one entry up on the NE corner of the walled complex. Google Maps show it correctly. I would not try to visit another site on the same day - a walk through, especially on a hot day, is more than enough. I'd recommend staying up in Khao San Road for a few days and visiting the other major sites in the "old city" at a more relaxed pace.

Excellent experience overall, understand how rich Thailand culture and experience their history, Buddhism and architecture marvels. Emerald Buddha temple is huge and you feel very pleasant near the shrine of lord Buddha and the historic events carved around the temple walls. Outside of the temple has these emeralds, gems stone carved into the walls makes it more amazing. When you visit Bangkok this temple is a must to be in the list. If you are a historic person then must have. You can visit with family and kids. Buy the tickets at the temple, if you are a foreigner, the cost is 500 Bahts and get access to Emerald Buddha temple, Grand palace and Queen museum of arts and fashion.

Very nice Temple, it was the first temple that we visited in Bangkok from the list of 5, by far the nicest one. I really like that you have to take off your shoes before going inside the temple and they even show in front at the entry in the temple that you should not point your feet to Buddha.
The premises are wide, and there are lots of things to see, but it is very crowded.
We bought the tickets online so it was bit fast for us, they just had to scan it and in we were.

This is the most expensive ticket I have bought to visit a temple on my trip to Bangkok at 500baht. Although it was a beautiful place, I have enjoyed visiting the less popular temples in Bangkok. There are many tours going on so you keep hearing people explain things very loudly and situations like that.

The Grand Palace, a historic complex in Bangkok, was established in 1782 and is now open to the public as a museum. It features over 100 buildings constructed over two centuries, including Wat Phra Kaew, which houses the revered Emerald Buddha. The palace grounds are expansive and showcase stunning golden palaces, intricate Buddha statues, and more than 50 temples.
The dazzling, spectacular Grand Palace is undoubtedly the most famous landmark in Bangkok. It’s one must-see sight that no visit to the city would be complete without. It was built in 1782 and for 150 years was the home of the Thai King, the Royal court and the administrative seat of government.
The Grand Palace of Bangkok is a grand old dame indeed, that continues to have visitors in awe with its beautiful architecture and intricate detail, all of which is a proud salute to the creativity and craftsmanship of the Thai people. Within its walls were also the Thai war ministry, state departments, and even the mint. Today, the complex remains the spiritual heart of the Thai Kingdom.

It's beautiful. The entry ticket is 500 baht. It includes the cost for 3 things. 1 of these things is at another location. The ticket is valid for 1 day for the grand palace and as far as I can remember, for 7 days for the other 2 things. It's better to keep 2 days to complete the grand palace visit. Unfortunately I went there on the last day of my tour and was able to see just the grand palace. The textile museum is also nice.

Amazing, lots of history and culture all in one place. The detail, and the vibrant colours are just superb. Well worth the 500 Baht. Only drawback is that it is so popular that you are always competing for space, or waiting for others to finish to take a photo, or having people walk into your shots.

Bangkok is one of the famous and attractive places among tourists and it is one of the highly recommended place for its tourist places.
Bangkok has so many places to offer and the list is so big that you can not finish in one tour. Among them few things you can not miss you you are in Bangkok.
Grand palace is one the places which you can not miss if your are planning your trip to Bangkok.
The Grand palace is basically the home of the king of the Bangkok and it is very nicely maintained. The place is full of the temples and the King palace with well decorated with varieties flower trees.
For locals it is free but chargeable for the foreigners.
Also to mention do not wear short dresses if you wish to go inside the compound.
We recommend to visit this place if you are in Bangkok trip.

It was a bit crowded on the day I attended, but that is to be expected at mid-day. Beautiful grounds, featuring artful topiary, breathtaking architecture, and the most epic tapestry that I have ever seen. It's definitely worth a visit, even if you're only in Bangkok for a couple of days.

Overall, it was a majestic experience. I highly recommend anyone visiting to borrow an umbrella near the ticket counter upon entering, trust me, it's a lifesaver against the scorching heat. The heat literally burns you. Don't forget sunscreen too.
The palace complex is vast and filled with rich history and intricate details, especially the murals that tell many captivating stories. To fully appreciate the art and architecture, consider getting a guide. While there's a counter providing free tour guides in various languages, I found that the English-speaking guides were not as fluent as I had hoped, making it tough to follow along with the history being shared. it would be wise to find a proficient tour guide or to do some research before your visit. you'll be able to fully immerse yourself in the grandeur and storied past of these temples and palace . Oh , and when you're done, the umbrella can be easily returned at a booth near the exit, which is quite convenient.
All in all, the Grand Palace is a remarkable site that you shouldn't miss when in Thailand. Just come prepared and you'll have a much more enjoyable and educational visit. 5 stars for the overall experience!

Great place to visit. A lot of cultural significance, past residence of past kings. It has a lot of history for Thailand. Worth a visit but foreigners have to pay to enter. The most important emerald/jade Buddha is placed in one of the temples, and the architecture was great. No shoes entering the temple, have to wear long pants and no sleeveless.

Absolutely stunning. Lovey to walk around in the middle of a busy city and feel like your in a super calm environment. It’s busy but it still felt spacious once your inside.
500 baht for entry and then your set.
Make sure you take pants that cover full legs, or there is a shop at entrance that sell for 200 baht a piece.

When you visit Grand Palace make sure that you have time, it easily takes 2 3 hours for me to discover! (I didn't discover everything) 😁
I highly recommend anyone to visit during your time in Bangkok.
Ticket costs 500 baht and you can easily buy from entrance.
NOTE:
Since the weather is very hot and humid in Bangkok, you will wear shorts but don't forget that you are not allowed to visit Grand Palace with shorts, you need to wear long pants and if you didn't bring anything there are shops just cross the road, you can buy pants for very cheap like 100-200 baht. It's very comfortable and you can visit all the temples with it too.

The view of the palace buildings in Thailand style architecture, all ornamented colorfully, right in the entrance, is just stunning and eye catching. People just kept taking pictures around, trying to find the best angle to catch the impressive view of the palaces, statues, columns and the towers.
The place was very crowded with many tour groups, each one with its own guide, all of them shouting quite loudly, to explain the characteristics of the buildings to their group.
The entrance fee is 500 baht.
When going back to the hotel, taxis around this place were asking abusive fixed price for the ride, much more expensive than when arrived there.
It is better to take a bus, in a bus stop near to the exit.

What a magnificent place to visit. There was a good size crowd to get in, but it was only a short wait for the tickets and the queue was moving quickly to enter the Palace grounds.
Dress code is strictly adhered to, but vendors outside can provide you with the necessary cover, at a premium price, if you are unaware or forget to dress appropriately.
Can get scorching hot inside as there is little air circulating and a lack of shade from the sun. Taking water is definitely worthwhile on a hot sunny day.
There is a free bust to transfer you to the free cultural dance performance at the theatre. The show starts at 1pm and you really need to be at the Palace exit where the buses are by 12.45

I think everyone must see The Grand Palace at least once. I really enjoyed looking at the architecture.
First - cover shoulders and legs, men must wear trousers.
Two - avoid the tour guides at the front gate unless you want one (you buy your own ticket once inside), just walk through and the guards will wave you through security after checking that you are dressed appropriately.
Three - there is a machine you can buy tickets with card if you want to avoid the line at the booth.
Four - there are drink stalls at the beginning, middle and a cafe at the end.
Five - the first gold part with beautiful art is only the beginning, keep walking and you will get to the rest of the complex.

Worth to visit as you can see the building built with unique architecture and specific details structures in every building. One thing is you can not wear the short pants or skirt inside if you’re wearing that, you need to buy the clothes that they sell in the entrance to cover yourself for the girls. It’s better to bring your own water there and hat as usually so hot there. 🤩

Phra Borom Maha Ratchawang, Phra Nakhon, Bangkok 10200, Thailand
Wat Phra Chetuphon Wimon Mangkhalaram Rajwaramahawihan, also known as the Temple of the Reclining Buddha, is a significant landmark temple in Thailand. The temple grounds offer a serene atmosphere and are home to a massive 46-meter-long reclining Buddha statue. Visitors can explore historic art, statues, and colorful murals depicting over 400 images of the Buddha. Additionally, the temple houses a traditional Thai massage school.
A safe, religious and wonderful environment amidst the crowded passages around. Wat Pho is a very energetic, historical place and the presence of Buddhists in this place has made it a special place for foreign tourists. This is a spiritual space, but full of color. When I was here for photography, I was very surprised by the cleanliness and beauty of all the structures in this place. If you are going to Bangkok as an active tourist, I suggest you go to this lovely place
Alireza Akhlaghi — Google review
The highlight of this temple is the giant golden 150 feet long reclining Buddha. The surroundings of the temple have a few pagodas and Wat Pho is just within walking distance (approximately a 10-minute walk) from the Grand Palace.
Wat Pho is now a center for traditional massage and medicine but was the first public university in Thailand to focus on religion and literature back then.
Other than the reclining Buddha and pagodas, there is nothing much to explore in this temple. It is advisable for visitors to strictly follow the dress code for any temple in Thailand including Wat Pho. Women must wear skirts or pants extending at least to the knee and strictly not wear a top that reveals bare shoulders.

Really pretty temple especially near sunset and it felt really tranquil too, very low traffic noises. However try to leave some extra time so that you can visit the other temple across the river as both close at 6pm. Ladies can enter the vicinity but if you wanna see the giant reclining Buddha or the prayer room you have to have a cover for your shoulders, there are some shawls that you can borrow at these entrances for free and make sure to return it when you’re done.

The vibe is extremely positive here and it’s a must visit place as this is one of the tourist attraction. This place is maintained well and is neat. There’s a separate place to offer prayers and to burn incense sticks. Burn incense sticks only in the dedicated area allotted.
If you are buying a small Lord Buddha statue, do not place it down as this is considered disrespectful and please maintain dress code here as you will be asked to otherwise no entry into the temple.
If wearing clothing which has Buddha print on it then the entry into the temple is barred.
Please dress appropriately.

A wonderful temple. Thailand's cultural heritage is as always fascinating and awe-inspiring. The territory of the temple is quite large, it will probably take about one and a half hours to appreciate all the sights. I liked the mosaic structures in the courtyard of the temple and the interior painting of the temples and the variety of statues the most. Well, of course, the statue of the reclining Buddha looks very cool, as well as the painting on his feet. The entrance ticket costs 200 baht, also with the entrance ticket you can get a free bottle of water from the machine.

You need to wear proper clothes like no shorts, no revealing clothes ( above the knee, tube).
You need to take hat and umbrellas with you as the temperature is very hot and humid.

A very beautiful temple with amazing architecture. It is kept clean and entry fee is lesser than grand palace. Entry fee for foreigners is 200 baht. Surrounded by trees and shade so timing you can manage. But have minimum 2 hours to explore it completely.

Probably the only temple you need to visit. It is preferable to start the visit at 9am. Your bus crowds start pouring at 9am and the temple grounds gets very noisy and busy. Not a relaxing experience. The temple visit will take about an hour. Photography is allowed.

This temple is famous for its Reclining Buddha and located near Grand palace so that you may make plan to visit altogether in a same day.
Reclining Buddha is so big that we cannot see it at once and have to see it part by part. There are some spaces inside to view the part of it and you have to make a queue and wait until enjoying or taking pictures of it. I think building for this huge Buddha is so small that it is really crowded (hot as well).
Along with the size of this sculpture, it is also quite unique to enjoy the impressive patterns in his soles. Worth a visit if you visit Grand palace or place near this temple.

It is an interesting place to visit since it is big and stunning with beautiful structures. There are many super adorable cats here as well 🐈⬛🐈
Traditional Thai Massage is available
However it is very hot and full of tourists - big tour groups 🥵 Bring umbrella, fan and water 💦
Some of the tourists do not take off the shoes before entering the temple, as they did not observe the signage. This is frowned upon in Asia but there is no staff to advise them to take off their shoes.

Wat Pho is one of the most amazing temples we have visited. It’s must see. Make sure to bring a bottle water as you will spend hours there. There are tab water around where you can refill your bottle. The gardens around the temples are so beautiful. The inside temples are very calm and serene. We paid around $6 US dollars and it worth every penny.

Great place and so peaceful. Reclining Buddha is so beautiful which not cover in one view because of the pillars between the statue and view.

Beautiful temple, open later than some of the smaller temples (closes 1930). Also known as temple of the reclining Buddha. It's actually a huge complex with multiple ornate buildings and stupas which are lit up at night. Spectacular to see day or night, can walk the grounds after 1700, but most of the buildings will be closed. 300B for entry.

This temple, in contrast to the bustling crowds at Wat Arun or The Grand Palace, offers a serene experience with plenty to explore. Personally, I found great enjoyment in my visit here.
The Reclining Buddha’s immense size makes it a challenge to capture the entire statue in a single photo. You can also spend 20 baht to get a cup of coins, and then putting coins into a queue of bowls.
The temple's layout is impressive, featuring four sets of towers positioned in different directions, each comprising four beautifully designed towers. Navigating through these architectural wonders is a visual treat.
Be prepared for a brief wait to enter the main prayer room as there is usually a queue outside. However, the experience inside is worth the wait.
To keep visitors hydrated, there's a convenient free water fountain on the premises. Overall, this temple provides a quieter yet enriching alternative, with its unique attractions and thoughtful amenities making it a delightful stop on your itinerary.

Stunningly beautiful temple! Visited at 8AM, minimal crowds for great photos. Pair with the royal palace or Wat Arun. Entry for foreigners is 300 THB, but worth it. Spend 1-2 hours exploring the grounds and architecture.
Wat Arun Ratchawararam Ratchawaramahawihan, also known as the Temple of Dawn, is a grand Buddhist temple situated on the west side of the Chaophraya River in Thonburi, Bangkok. Its iconic central spire is adorned with intricate tiles and stands out with its colorful and detailed design. The temple's history dates back to King Taksin's restoration in 1768, giving it a significant place in Thai heritage.
This temple is the highlight of Bangkok and maybe Thailand, and rightly so. The site is compact, so during busy tourist hours, it gets very crowded. Better visit early in the morning or just right before sunset as the air is more chill. There aren’t any roof so if it gets rained, then… oh well.
I wish there are more stories about the temple other than just a paragraph or two posted outside the temple.

Cool place. I am very glad that Thailand has such a respectful attitude towards its rich culture. The entire territory of the temple looks very beautiful and well-kept. The skill and imagination of the sculptors amazes me. The entrance ticket costs 100 baht, and also at the entrance, all visitors are given a bottle of water along with the ticket. You can also get to the other side of the river by boat for just 5 baht. I recommend to try to see the beauty of the temple when you cross the river by boat.

Wat Arun is absolutely a place you should visit when in Bangkok. I arrived before sunset, around 5 pm, as they close at 6 pm. It’s on Friday. Be ready for crowds if you come around this time. The weather is already not too hot, and the sky displays its prettiest blue and yellow colors. Outside the entrance gate, you'll find many shops that rent traditional clothes for taking pictures, all of them beautiful. The temple has many intricate details. As the sun sets, the sky transitions from orange to pinkish-purple. It’s also recommended to observe this temple during sunset time as it looks majestic.

Wat Arun is a jewel of the architecture so characteristic of Thailand. The temple, according to the luminosity, to appear white and all in embroidery with the many details which decorate it. It's rather extended and it's necessary to think of going on the right of the temple when one is in front of it, there are splendid Buddhas to be discovered and other temples in the complex.
I strongly advise to go there early in the morning because it's quickly taken by many instagrammers who spend hours to be taken in pictures at the same place, making then the taking of picture of the temple complicated ...

One of the most iconic temple in Bangkok. It is a very beautiful and spectacular temple. It is best taken pictures during sun rise or sun set. It is very well maintained cleanliness. This temple can get very touristy as it is very photogenic temple. So ensure to get there early to avoid the crowds. At the entry of the main temple there are many tourist dresses in traditional Thai dress, so at time it get difficult to take pictures on the lawn of the temple.

Love the temple and the overall experience. The temple are actively used so there will be some sections that is forbidden to enter. There's a market here selling Thailand souvenirs like shirts, fridge magnets and key chains. The temple is so magnificent and beautiful, as the restoration was recently completed in 2017. There is also a costume rental for tourists that wants to get photographed in traditional Thai attires.

Incredible architecture. The temples were well maintained and so rich in history. I think they did a great job with ensuring that the temple remains a place of worship for locals yet a place for tourists to experience and learn about their religion, culture and history. Guides are available (might be at a cost). Tickets were 100 baht each.
Tips for visitors,
1. Bring a hat or umbrella - it's really sunny
2. Follow temple rules on proper attire - If you need a long skirt or shawl for covering up, you can borrow one from the temple.
3. Wear easy to slip on and off shoes - you'll be required to take off your footwear to enter the temples
4. At the exit, you can take a boat across the river to visit another famous temple.

This place (can be) crowded. However, this is actually a cool temple. Yes it costs a little to get it, but it's really worth the view. You can pay a little extra and dress up in a period costume for some pictures, however given how crowded it is, be prepared to share your photo with about 5000 of your newest best friends. The steps are very step, be careful! You want to also be aware that, given the amount of people here, you need to watch your wallet. Also some people are more concerned with getting a good photo than they are with their own personal safety, as a result on these steep steps; accidents can happen. There's a gift shop inside, but most of the food and drinks are more expensive than outside.

Wat Arun Temple in Bangkok is undeniably stunning with its intricate architecture and rich cultural significance. However, the overwhelming crowds can diminish the overall experience, making it challenging to fully appreciate the serene beauty of this historical site. Consider visiting during off-peak hours for a more tranquil visit.

Although I waited for while to visit Wat Arun, I'm happy that I was able to make time to share my experience with a childhood friend. There is so much to take in here. The ground are quite expansive and the buildings too numerous to list. It is best to look at my photos since a picture is worth a thousand words. We arrived early in the day to avoid the heat since there is not a lot of shade to protect you from the searing sun. There are drinks and ice blocks available to cool give you a respite while waiting for your return boat to your point of departure.

This is one of the must-see temples in Bangkok. It’s very well kept and there are events held in the evening on the temple grounds. There are a few shops selling traditional Thai dresses for women and there are several boat docks that can take passengers to the other side of the river for a cheap price. The temple itself is beautiful and you can ascend the main central spire to get a good look at the Buddha relics within and the surrounding area. I would definitely recommend checking this place out on your trip to Bangkok.

This is one of the best landmarks in Bangkok. Wat Arun also known as Temple of the Dawn. You need to cross the river to visit this place where you need to spend 10 baht to and fro. Gorgeous temple and grounds. Give yourself an hour to be able to meander and explore every angle properly. Fairly busy but still incredible to see and find your picture spot. We did this on the way to grand palace since the stop there from the river is closed. You have to come to Wat Arun and transfer to a short river cross to get to the palace.

A beautiful and unusual temple, mainly outdoors. A real must see and the traditionally dressed Thai visitors bring some amazing additional colour to the temple. You cannot go to the top but it has so much detail to admire its still a definite place to visit.

Must visit Wat Arun when you are in Bangkok! Entry free cost $200 baht and they close at 6pm. Seeing the temple in person upclose is truly extraordinary and also awe inspiring from afar during sunset when the temple lights up.
Really busy and there are a lot of costume rental stores nearby that you can dress up for $150 baht and hiring a photographer is additional!

Wat Arun, also known as the Temple of Dawn, is a temple that you should not miss. However, I am giving it only a three-star.
Pros:
Wat Arun boasts a striking and iconic structure, best appreciated from the boat as you cross the river. The temple's exterior is adorned with vibrant porcelain tiles and seashells, forming a captivating mosaic that glimmers in the sunlight. The central prang (tower), surrounded by four smaller prangs, stands tall and invites visitors to climb its steep stairs for panoramic views of the river and city.
After you purchased a ticket, they stamp your wrist and give you a complimentary bottle of water, a thoughtful touch that sets Wat Arun apart from other famous sites in Bangkok..
You can also borrow traditional Thai clothes and even hire a professional photographer to help you get the best pics once in Wat Arun.
Cons:
This site is pretty small and it becomes way too crowded once most of the visitors have photographers taking photos for them. It is difficult to enjoy the place if you are constantly reminded by others “not to block the photographer”.
One improvement could be providing more detailed explanations about the temple beyond its physical structure. This would enhance visitors' understanding of the historical and cultural significance of the site.
For those who are not going to hire a photographer, 30-35 minutes may suffice to explore Wat Arun. Despite the drawbacks, the temple's stunning architecture, the unique mosaic, and the opportunity for panoramic views make it a worthwhile visit. Consider visiting during less crowded times to fully appreciate its beauty and historical value.

The famous tourist attraction Sunrise temple.
Free entry.
I suggest more safety precautions such as wearing a safety belt or helmet etc. are required for those who wants to go up to pagoda/prang(very high and very steep stairs) .

One of the lost beautiful places we've been so far, the attention to detail and these buildings is something else. Extremely hot day but well worth it as you nip in and out of different temples and see the amazing sights from thousands of years ago! It almost takes your breath away see how high the buildings are and how steep the steps are, one of our favourite places of the day
James Hinchliffe — Google review
A very famous temple in Bangkok so when you visit you will see a lot of tourists. The pagoda has many tall towers with very steep steps. The highest ancient towers of the pagoda are only accessible on the lower floors, the entrance to the upper floors is locked. Here, many female tourists rent ancient Thai costumes to wear for photos for 300Bath. Entrance fee to visit the temple is 200Bath. Boat ticket from BTS station is 30Bath/way. The worshiping areas are located behind the main pagoda. The architecture of the worship area is beautifully plated with gold. However, the boat waiting area is a bit small and cramped. In Thailand monks are highly respected. On public transportation, monks are always given the highest priority.

The Damnoen Saduak Floating Market is a popular tourist attraction in Ratchaburi province, Thailand. It features souvenir vendors and food sellers from all over Asia. The market is located on a large canal and is easily accessible by car or boat.
A fascinating place and a memorable experience. A tour bus driver took us to a riverside point where we tried local fruits before embarking on the boat journey through the waterways and floating stalls into the big bustling floating market. A special place and an absolute must-see for anyone visiting Bangkok.
Amir Aridi — Google review
The floating market of Damnoen Saduak is very disappointing and is not worth a stop in my opinion. There are very few vendors on the water but mostly vendors on land that we can approach by boat. Only souvenirs are sold but almost no fruits or vegetables, it's a pity.
Moreover, the cost of the boat is 2000 baths, which is excessively expensive to visit a market devoid of vendors and absolutely not alive.
An "avenue" on the water however that I found particularly beautiful, decorated with a multitude of lanterns. And beautiful landscapes of jungle to appreciate during the walk.
Cl?mence Valette — Google review
Actual “floating market”. Most of the vendors are along the rivers or on a boat.
To fully enjoy this market, you pay for the boat to take you around the river. They can stop as needed if you want to buy something. Good breeze on the water.
Bring cash of course. Price are reasonable and the food + drinks are pretty good. There are alcohol and cannabis drinks of various sort.
There are traffic jam on the water just in case you are wondering.
There are car and motorbike parking. Some free some paid. Weekend all paid parking.
Note: the boat service is for an hour or so. If you stop at too many places then you won’t be able to visit the whole river. You can always take it twice. Price is reasonable anyway.

So... we went to this floating market as part of a packaged group tour. Websites talk a lot about the floating market, so I was like why not. I don't like labeling places as tourist traps because people like experiencing different things, but I'd say this place feels very touristy and commercial to say the least.
You get to travel on a boat, and other small boats will come to you with food and merch. The smoke from other boats is not very pleasant, and that dirty water may splash and get on your clothes the current from other moving boats is strong. But it's not too terrible, so just be mindful of this.
I say commercial, because all the goods here are sold 2-10 times the prices in other markets. Souvenirs? Even the tour guide told us not to buy. Fruits and coconut ice cream are not too pricey, but I'd still negotiate the price.
Overall, the place didn't feel organic - it's not a market where locals would come to buy goods. It's designed exclusively for tourists, so I'd recommend the place if you're okay with my caveats above.
Will Heo — Google review
TL:DR Take the paddling boat experience if you wish, don't buy anything on the boat.
It's a good experience, the original Thai floating market. You can experience life living next to a canal and traveling mainly through boats. Most of the shopping is done through the canal, thus the floating market. However, it seems that it's more for tourists (local tourists too), so expect prices to be higher than elsewhere.
Pricey boat hire. The stuff on the floating market is expensive as well (you can get the same stuff elsewhere for way less price). You need to learn to bargain and do it really well to not get scammed. It does feel like a tourist trap and I think it's good to just experience the boat, and just don't buy anything. Just find whatever souvenirs (and food!) interest you, and buy it at other places. You can even get them cheaper at Bangkok, or at the side of the canal unreachable by boats (still more expensive than elsewhere).

Visiting Damnoen Saduak Floating Market was an incredible immersion into Thailand's vibrant culture and tradition. The market's colorful boats laden with fresh produce and local crafts created a picturesque spectacle. While the crowds can get overwhelming, interacting with the friendly vendors and sampling authentic Thai delicacies made the experience truly memorable. The long-tail boat ride along the serene canals provided a peaceful retreat from the lively market atmosphere. However, the growing tourist influence has somewhat affected the market's original charm. Nevertheless, it remains a must-visit destination for anyone seeking an authentic glimpse into Thailand's rich cultural heritage.

More than 150 years old market still retaining the original teak wood structure. However it was overcrowded with tourists, our boats clashing each other in the channels, loud motor boats which were letting out unpleasant smoke and souvenirs sold at exorbitant prices. Was quoted 850 baht for a wooden dragon fly hanging which we bargained and bought at 200 baht. Our guide told us not to buy anything without bargaining the price down by 80%. It would’ve been a better experience for tourists if the items were sold at a reasonable cost like in the other markets and vendors would get more sales.
We had yummy coconut ice cream and mango sticky rice which our guide got us from a lovely lady selling from her boat.
We stopped at a shop selling puppets and masks but decided not to buy anything after a closer inspection because we didn’t think it was worth the price quoted. A really nasty vendor selling paintings opposite this shop started yelling at us and called us cheap for not buying those overpriced items after looking at them. With such attitude I wonder if anyone would want to go back again. Couldn’t wait to get out of there after that. That person was enough to spoil the whole experience for us.
I had read reviews from tourists not recommending this market and should’ve followed their advice. There are other genuine floating markets visited by locals which are way better. Don’t recommend this one at all!

A must do tour when you are visiting Bangkok. We travelled by AC minibus to the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, which encompassed a visit to the railway market & a coconut plantation. The floating market was truly spectacular, seeing the vendors selling their wares along the river, plus lots of separate stalls selling souvenirs & food, all enjoyed from the comfort of your own long tail boat. You could purchase things along the waterway - which was fantastic. The railway market was an eye opener! The vendors know precisely when a train arrives/departs & quickly retract their stalls just in time. Tourists are a plenty to witness this precision timing. The goods for sale are plentiful & range from souvenirs, fruit, meat, fish, beverages etc. We also visited a coconut plantation, where it was interesting to see how a coconut is fully used, with no wastage.

Its an interesting place to take the family to show them not just the floating markets but also our boat captain. Took use out and about the canal system it was interesting to see how people live around the water ways of greater Bangkok. Take a powered boat.

Great place for tourists to visit about 1.5 hrs outside of Bangkok! You can find a variety of food and souvenirs along the river, and most vendors are willing to bargain prices down.
Just be warned, many taxi drivers will try to scam you by dropping you off at tour companies about 5 minutes away from the actual market. They give prices starting at 2000 Baht per person for a 2 hour boat ride through the market. Please don't fall for it. If you demand to be taken to the actual start of the market you can find prices around 100-300 Baht per person for an hour boat ride through the market.
Absolutely worth the visit, just be careful who you are trusting to take you.

I visited Damnoen Saduak Floating Market and had an amazing experience exploring the vibrant market culture on the water.

The Damnoen Saduak Floating Market is a bustling and lively destination that offers a unique and authentic Thai experience. The market is a great place to visit for a few hours, but be cautious of tourist operators who may try to take you to other boating joints and extend your trip.
If you're short on time, it's best to drive directly to the market and explore on foot. This way, you can fully immerse yourself in the market's lively atmosphere and get a feel for the local culture. However, be prepared to haggle, as the prices for goods other than food can be quite high.
One of the highlights of the market is the food. The floating market offers a wide variety of delicious and authentic Thai cuisine, from fresh fruits and vegetables to mouthwatering street food. It's a great opportunity to sample some of the local delicacies and immerse yourself in the culinary culture of Thailand.
Overall, the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market is a must-visit destination for anyone traveling to Thailand. The market's colorful and lively atmosphere, combined with its delicious food, make it a truly unforgettable experience.

This floating market is very touristy. You may get dripped off via minivan or taxi about a few hundred meters from the actual floating market. They generally drop you off further away with the hopes that you’ll pay for the expensive motor boat tour/ride to the market (the experience is about 1hr long).
Instead it’s better to walk a few hundred meters to the market and save yourself the money. At the floating market itself you can pay be for a much cheaper human powered boat around the market (we paid 200baht for two people).
While on the top the guide will move the boat along the market to the various vendors. Some guides will stop at many vendors and some will skip some. We tried to tell our guide we’re not interested but she didn’t listen and continued to move from vendor to vendor.
Overall this floating market wasn’t that great. Mainly just vendors trying to sell you things you can find in most tourist shops in Thailand. It’s best to go to the Amphawa floating market that’s nearby via taxi and not waste your time and money with this one.

An interesting place to visit for the very first time. Overall experience was pleasant and enjoyed the boat ride but might not be a good place to shop for souvenirs because of the steep pricing.
The tour we paid for felt rushed and did not get to check out most of the stalls. The person in charge of the boat will only stop at certain stalls as requested.
As one of the most popular floating markets in Thailand and over a 100 years of history, it was slightly disappointing to see that the place is not well maintained.

I came here last year in September 2022 and the river was crowded and lively. I visited again last July 2023 and it was different, quiet and calm. Out of all the floating markets in Bangkok i had selected this as it had better reviews than the others. The only thing is it's located far away from the city and the drive to this place too more than 1½hrs but it was good. After reaching they asked us if we wanted to visit other things and showed us the options but we decided to just experience the floating market. We went in the morning so it wasn't sunny. It's better to just experience the boat ride and not shop as the prices of everything are too high, definitely a tourist trap. The coconut ice cream was really good! Overall loved the boat ride and the experience.

A wonderful place to experience what a floating market is like in Bangkok. Damnoen Saduak floating market has many stores which sells popular local delicacies, items and souvenirs.
But that’s is where the positive ends. Damnoen Saduak floating market is a tourist trap. All of the items could be bought elsewhere at a much lower price. The boatman will stop at different stores without request at times too. Strolling through the floating market, you will notice mostly tourists, and the only locals are the vendors.
Come for the experience, not for the shopping. This may be one of the more popular floating markets, but it is not the only one in Bangkok.

Damnoen Saduak Floating Market is located about 100km from the city centre. The journey usually takes about 2 hours each way.
This popular floating market has become very touristy. There are just a few traders on boats selling food, drinks and fruits now. The banks of the canal is lined with shops selling souvenirs, clothings, food and drinks.
The boat ride we had was a disappointment. The driver just sped through the canal then idled for a while to waste time before taking us back to the jetty. We did not pass through the section with traders on boats.
We should have taken the boat which was manually rowed and not the one with an petrol engine. It was more like a canal speedboat ride than a visit to a floating market.

It’s a nice experience to browse the area with a wooden boat. It is also possible to walk much of the inner market. Taxis will want to drop you off about 1km away at a point from where you can only take a motorboat to go to the market via some narrow canals, whereas if you drive to the market you have the option of a cheaper paddle boat to explore the “inner” market.
The staff will try to sell various experience packages. Boat hire prices are regulated. On the way to the market you’ll see a couple of souvenir shops on the sides of the canals that don’t float. Once you get to the market you’ll see vendors on little wooden boats and more shops ashore. The motorboat felt a little like a tourist trap to us at first but on the other hand the trip to and from the market on it will also show you less touristic areas. Inside the market you can always get off the boat, walk a little and get back on too.

A different experience! The floating market is truly different like you might have seen in tour promotions, where there are boats (same size like yours) that sell a variety of food right beside you! Choose from fresh coconuts/fruits to grilled meats. The "traffic" is in the main galley, that when someone decides to buy some of the food, you do have to stop a bit, but that gives you time to look around the sides where stalls of other goods like clothes and other trinkets are displayed on both sides of the canal. Reminder to keep your hands within the boat and hang on to your phones and cameras! Yes the water is not clear. Wear a hat too. Apparently there is a back way from the main "water road". The primary shopping area is where you do get off your boats, it's huge! we were dropped off at the back, and the good thing is you can haggle prices of some goods! There are restaurants and comfort rooms in the main building. We had fun! Include this on your to try list when in Thailand!

Such an interesting experience on one of the paddle boats. It's pretty much 5 lane traffic jam all the way but everyone just seems to know how to push past each other. They stop their boat for you to do some shopping.
Enjoyed seeing the train pass by and the locals selling quite cheap food. Bought some special tea for 10 bhat and mango. Worth a visit.
Bianca Cojocaru — Google review
Touristy place with good view of the station. Price is moderate. Might not be a great deal but not a bad place to chill while waiting the train to come into the station
Mango sticky rice is average
Hot plate is available some noodles and other stuff
Smoothies are great so as coconut

Stopped here for a short snack and to watch the tourists.
Food is average and nothing special. Prices are around 40 for each, sticky rice is 50.
One woman is singing the menu to get attention. Pad Thai was ready immediately, the dumplings took 10 minutes.

Avoid at all cost, better still avoid this restaurant due to the service.
1. Mama Fried (tasteless and noodle overcooked),
2. Tofu Soup (pork still raw when served)
3. Pork noodle (edible if add more chilli powder)
4. Tomyam Gong Noodle (edible with fish sauce)
5. Omelette (tasteless but edible)

Khao Sok National Park is a renowned national park in Thailand that features an ancient rainforest, limestone cliffs, rare flora and fauna, and breathtaking waterfalls. Visitors can hike on the numerous trails available or opt for an elephant ride through the tropical rainforest. Additionally, visitors can enjoy canoeing or bamboo rafting on the Khao Sok River to witness limestone karsts.
Beautiful marine national park with extensive wildlife.
We stayed two nights and saw several animals during our time in the park, including wild elephants, king cobra, boar, Indian bison, and different kinds of monkeys.
On the first day we hiked up to a view point overlooking the southern part of the park. It’s quite a trek and not suitable if you have challenges walking. Beware of leeches during the wet season.
In the north eastern part of the lake, there’s another short hike you can take to visit a coral cave. It’s large and once you’re furthest into it there’s literally no light.
Can highly recommend spending a few days here if you enjoy nature and wildlife!

This is an absolutely stunning national park. The scenery is very beautiful, the mountains the sky are very beautiful. One of my personal favorite moments was waking up early and see the sunrise between the mouth. Despite the lake being man made, the wildlife surrounding the lake is very healthy and thriving. We saw multiple school of wild Buffalo, rare birds and all kinds of water lizard. Highly recommend if you love natural and wildlife.
Katethip Varanyuwatana — Google review
The national park offers several activities for nature enthusiasts, such as jungle trekking, wildlife spotting, and bird watching. There are also opportunities for cave exploration, bamboo rafting along the Sok River, and swimming in natural pools and waterfalls. The park is known for its rich biodiversity, and it's a great place to experience the beauty of Thailand's tropical rainforests.

This area of very touristy except for further away resort. Overall, the resorts were not designed to cater to too many tourists. For example, the sewerage system are usually not well designed for large utilisation. In some cases, they are discharged into the lake. Overall, the scenery is nice.

A beautiful large lake. It is definitely worth taking a boat tour to visit the national park. You can see various animals and there are caves. These are also very interesting to explore. It is really impressive how the high mountains rise out of the water.

What a great adventure!! This was a few years ago. The park is kept very well. However, if you are adventurous, get a required guide so you can go to very offbeat areas that are full of beautiful jungle, rivers, and a little wildlife.
I asked our tour outfitter, Tiger Man (who i super highly recommend) to take me on a HARD hike, and he did just that. He required a check of my ability to make sure that i could make it. The guide was great and we stopped often and he explained parts of the jungle, such as a vine that had backwards thorns that the guide said was to keep snakes off, just as one example.
Many decades of hiking and this was definitely the toughest hike had been on, crossing through rivers, repelling down waterfalls, walking about 1KM down a river waist deep. But it all was fantastic…
If you go i would definitely recommend Tiger man as your guide/outfitter! He is great.

Great place we had the pleasure of visiting! Highly recommend having a tour guide. We used khaolaktourplan.com. Kang was our guide and he made the experience special!
We on a boat to a cave, jungle trail, awesome lunch in a bungalow hotel, drove around, then went to a special “Michelin Guide”restaurant that only locals go to! Khao sok was amazing!

Obviously the site has some visual impact and makes for a great day excursion. The walking through the cave was kind of a more thrilling experience with the swimming in the dark.
The rocky formations are very high and gives you a difference sense of scale, the scenery makes for great pics.
Be aware that on the 2 days tour you won't sleep in the middle of the rocky formations but on the side so can be disappointing. Also sad they don't stop a great Viewpoint to get the overall feeling of the landscape.

Stunning national park, would recommend staying on the lake bungalows if you can afford it, we paid around 50 euros. The scenery is spectacular. We also did a walk through the jungle and through a cave included in the price which was really cool. Not too toursity either unlike other parts of Thailand. Would 100% recommend.

Beautiful untouched place. You get amazed to see the rocks, turquoise water.
The best and cheapest way to see it is to arrive to the port and hire a long tail boat which will bring you everywhere, show all the most beautiful picturesque points and if you wish also to the floating restaurant. Price for the whole boat with the captain varies from 2000-3000 ฿

Staying in a floating bungalow is a great experience. The water is clear and great to swim in and the feeling when you wake up in the morning is amazing! I did a tour with a hostel in Khao Sok. We did a jungle safari, night safari and it was an incredible couple of days. You have to visit this place! One of the best experience in Thailand.

Just the best experience. Book an overnight trip at the lake and just enjoy nature, monkeys, hikes, caves, good food and no wifi
Alex Jacker — Google review
Beautiful scenery. Elephants can be seen or heard roaming around the park. Monkeys can also be seen. There is a fun trek to a cave also. Canoeing available. The local food served was very tasty.
The hotel on the lake we ended up staying at had communal bathrooms unless a 200 baht/per person update for a private/attached bathroom. The one star reduction mostly comes from there being no AC in the rooms and no electricity in the rooms until 6pm til about 10am.

I had the privilege of staying overnight at Khao Sok and it was simply magical.
I stayed on one of several floating bungalows across the park surrounded by incredible views, borrowing a kayak to explore on my own time was one of my favourite parts of my stay aside from watching the sunrise behind the mountain's
If you are a fan of beautiful "natural" landscapes and you're in southern Thailand definitely worth a visit 🤣

This is an amazing serene place, which is definitely worth the visit.
The views of the surrounding cliffs are amazing. The blue water brought forth by the limestone rocks is a joy to have a swim in.
There are also heard of wild elephants in the region. They are rarely spotted, but you might get lucky.

A bit touristy, with lots of boat lining up to ferry the masses out onto the lake, but still well worth a visit. The day trip we did included an easy walk through the jungle, where our guide imparted various interesting facts about plants, insects and animals living within the park. We also completed a quick walk through the Pra Kai Pelch Cave. Which contains lots of stalagmites, stalactites and other spectacular formations.

Stunning scenery and pure serenity (except of the tourist boats going up and down)
We took a 5 hours private longtail boat “tour” from River View Resort at Chaewlan for 4500bht (such a ripoff. National park and some other fees were excluded 240bht, they don’t even provide a bottle of water) which was supposed to include a guide but the “guide” turned out to be the boatman who spoke no English. We basically sat on the boat under minimal shade and the boatman just drove us from place to place and gestured “bats (they were on a tree which you can only zoom in with your camera from the boat)” “monkeys (on the rocks)”and a bay that supposed had Elephants. We sat in the boat at the bay with 3 other boats just listening to crashing trees in the foliage while the boatman pointed into the trees “Eleohants” for 10mins.
When I asked if we could stop and swim. He just stared at me and we continued on. Went to a pontoon that had a restaurant (tables but didn’t looked like they served food) which was attached to small floating huts that had guests lounging on their fronts.
We also had a stop at the jungle trek (extra payment for ticket 200bht)
While the scenery was beautiful, I don’t think you will need to do 5 hours of it. It became rather pointless after the first 2.

This place is absolutely stunning g to float through. I did a 2 day one night tour and the deeper you can get into this incredible lake the better.
It was so refreshing swimming in fresh water and spotting the wildlife. The rock formations are incredible! Massive, beautiful and of course photogenic.
This place is worth the stop and energy to explore!

Amazing! Such beautiful views! For 1,500 baht each for a full day, it was so worth it. Each boat ride is different but we were able to go see a cave, swim, free dinner and kayaking.
We booked through our amazing accommodations Khao Sok River Camp. 👌🏽

Khao Sok is a captivating destination that truly comes alive in the early morning. Waking up to witness the sunrise, accompanied by the mystical fog, creates a mesmerizing atmosphere. Wat Tham Suea Krabi is a vast temple complex nestled in the lush jungle, renowned for its impressive gold Buddha statue and extensive cave network. Situated 9km northwest of Krabi Town, this sprawling hill and cave temple complex makes for an excellent day trip. The entrance leads to a challenging 1260-step staircase that ascends to a 600m karst peak.
The temple was in very nice setting and everything was in the proper managed including the parking lot, the local shopping store area and also there were food sold in case you want to have a little meal in front the main entrance of the temple. There is some entry fee for international tourists/visitors but free for Thai people. The highlight of this temple is the 1,260 steps of stair climbing up the top of the cave hill. For us, it took about 40 minutes and literally depending on how healthy you are, some take shorter and some take longer time. I recommend you to try to reach to the top because the view and the area at the top is worth it. It was a breath taking view with the 360 view. You can see the horizontal of the ocean with the stunning view of the mountain beauty which is only located in Krabi. On the way, there were 2 the toilets stops and also there is drinking water tap at the top of the hill. I do recommend you to take a bottle of water. Due to the stairs is very steep and narrow so very be careful when climbing up and use the handrail will be more safe. Moreover, there is a number of steps wrote along the way which will give you a sense of progress. And also I suggest visit the tiger cave which is underneath the hill that we climb up. The overall experience was so memorable with stunning view and it may took you roughly 3 hours for this temple to explore. Enjoy the climbing.
Sriprapha Nguanson — Google review
Be ready for one hell of a stair climb. These aren't normal steps either, most of them are giant steps at a steep angle. Is it worth it? Depends on the individual really but I'd wager anyone willing to go there and climb the stairs in the first place would find it worthwhile. The views from the top are amazing, the statue is quite magnificent. It started raining as soon as we got up there which really helped cool us down. Can't imagine doing this in the middle of summer.
The state of the area up there could use a little attention.
Granted the stairs seem the only way up so that likely hampers any attempt at maintenance. Given the scale of construction of the temple at the foot of the mountain however, tells me a plan could be made. That's the only reason I give it 4 instead of 5 stars. Other than that it is quite a sight.
Dean Jooste — Google review
1260 steps and over 300m elevation. Not for the casuals. This will test your endurance but it's totally worth it once you get to the top. BRING WATER WITH YOU. I can't stress this enough. Also be mindful that you're visiting a temple so dress appropriately. The views are stunning.
Barkatt A-K — Google review
Such a beautiful place once you finally get to the top. The climb is pretty steep but worth it to see the beautiful golden Buddha at the top and the spectacular views of the surroundings. 1260 steps. Depending on your level of fitness it could take anywhere between 15 to 60 minutes.
Coralie Pattenden — Google review
A very beautiful scenic site on the top of the mountains but as it's said a difficult path often leads to a beautiful location so was the case with this. There are around 1260 extremely steep stairs to climb this location and not recommended for the faint hearted but the view from the top is magical and if you are ok with moderate trek then you must definitely try to go to the top of the mountain. It's really a feeling of accomplishment after completing this trek. A lovely experience and must recommended

One of the best temples we have visited in Thailand but be prepared for a long and steep climb.
The views from the top - once you get there - are superb. Also, make sure to check out the cave adjacent to the temple on the right past the main climb.
Would definitely try to come back here.
Stephan Modest — Google review
They are not lying when they say 1260 stairs but it is totally worth it. The Buddha at the top of the mountain is magnificent.
Do take plenty of water and make stops, everyone needs them you go straight up. No regrets I would go again.
Go early and be ready for monkeys they slide on the fence and can get to you very quickly.
Martin Jarc — Google review
This is one of the to go places in Krabi. But if you are unfit don't try it. It has over a thousand steps and some of it are steep. At the top you have a 360 degree view of the surrounding. Nice scenery. Do not carry too much things on the climb, keep your hands free to hold onto the railing.
Angie Fong — Google review
Strongly recommended to come to Tiger Cave for your Krabi trip.
Earliest entry is 6am so don’t be late for the breathtaking views. You gotta get proper attire, sports wear ok but no swimming for ladies.
You have been warned that the stairs have 1260 steps, steps are narrow, about 2km. Spare about 2 hours for this. There are no toilet at the peak but there are 2 “pit-stop” for toilet break. Stay hydrated.
Please help to keep the environment clean. Thank you to the temple to build and ensure safety for visitors too.
YK L — Google review
Gorgeous place, the climb too the top is steep and perilous but definitely worth a go. The views from the top are stunning and the temple is very nice. Few monkeys around which have a tendency to steal but they are very cute. Got an ice-cream after the decent. Loved it all.
Duff Beer — Google review
One thing I loved was that it's free to enter - they just ask for donations if you want to contribute. The view from the top is gorgeous after climbing those 1,260 steps (there are markers along the way to track your progress). I was wiped by the end but feeling that sense of accomplishment made it worthwhile!
Now, they do require you to cover shoulders and knees out of respect. They lend scarves at the entrance which is super nice. I did notice some people sneaking them off once inside which seemed kinda lame to me. But anyway, not a big deal to wrap up for the visit.
There are monkeys playing around on the trail which can be fun to see. And some dogs keeping them in check in case they get too excited. Make sure to pack water and an extra tee because you'll work up a sweat on the way up!
All in all, I'd definitely recommend stopping by Tiger Cave Temple if you want some exercise with a dose of culture and killer views. Don't psych yourself out about the stairs - take breaks and you'll get there! The scenery at the top is worth it.

Worth a trip if you're in the area. Free entry and you can easily spend a few hours here if you're wanting to walk up the 1,200 steps to the top. Make sure you take plenty of water as you will need it. Great views at the top and you're rewarded with free water or you can buy cold water and snacks from the small shop.

This is a great place to visit during the morning or evening in cooler temperatures. It took us around 30 minutes to get to the top, though we did pass some people along the way. Something worth mentioning is that visiting this temple is no longer free and from March 2024 the entry cost is 50baht per person. The views from the top are great and it’s a lot windier up there which is refreshing.
Jamie Waller — Google review
When they said 1237 steps they meant it. The caveat is that some of those steps are on metal ladders attached to the cliff face and it is STEEP! In high temperature and humidity it was a massive challenge.
The view is spectacular. At the bottom there is a lot to explore. Definitely worth the trip.

One of the place must see and not to be missed! Tiger Cave Temple, a place you can come for worship or exertion. Small fees for non Thai tourists.
Stairs climbing are not for the faint of heart. Get proper non-slip shoes or sandals. Small bottle of water recommended for hydration or unexpected turn of event. The view is breathtaking and worthwhile.
Follow the rules on proper clothing would be beneficial.

Gorgeous place. It's not an easy climb, but the view is breathtaking. The steps are steep, there's no drinking water available up there, there are 2 washrooms on the way up, there are railings on both sides to hold. The descend isn't easy either, feet tremble and it gets very hectic. But it's all worth the view! There are no tickets to this, you're welcome to donate for the temple fund as per your wish.

30-45 min hike to walk up the well maintained 1200 stairs. Take a stick with you to hold back cheeky monkeys. The view on top is amazing and the temple beautiful. It’s free to hike up but you can leave a donation for the monks that maintain the temple.

I went there on the sunrise. Peaceful place.
The viewpoint with the Golden Buddha is really worth it but you have to be sure about your health and definitely take some water with you. It is 1260 steps, pretty hard way up but once you make it you would be impressed by the view.

The tiger cave temple walk is difficult! You have to climb over 1200 steps with 200 m of elevation. My husband and I are both fit and healthy and struggled to do this walk. We were drenched in sweat from the humidity. We went here as part of a day trip so we were there in the afternoon. Definitely better to go in the morning or evening. The views were absolutely worth it. The Buddha on top is large and impressive.

This is a great way to spend an evening. You need to be fit enough to clip steep stairs. If you don't mind taking your time, most active people should make it to the top. We went at 4pm when the sun wasn't so hot. I would recommend bringing water. Lots more to explore if you continue up the second set of stairs further inside the temple grounds.
Alexander Johnson — Google review
The hike is amazing and the views worth it, if you are fit you can go up in 20 minutes or less and down maybe in 15! You should keep you shirt in the temples but during the hike you can dressed as you want, there is also plenty of toilets and drinking water on the top!
Alfonso Sanchez — Google review
The views around the hike look very beautiful. But the destination itself never surprised me. if you are planning to hike during afternoon time, it will be very difficult for you because of the hot weather. You must bring bottle of water with you as there is no source of water or any kind of food above. Sunset time is recommended for this hike. 1200 steps are hard to climb but it gets easier with time.

Worth the effort. Temp of 35 going up which made it harder so consider going earlier when cooler if you can.
Take a bottle of water and wear trainers!
Views from the top are great as are the monuments. The cave and big tree are set back as you go past the entry to Budda and are also worth a look. That's a much easier walk if elderly or have health issues. Enjoy

We did it early in the morning 7am to ensure the heat didn’t prevent us from making it to the top. The view was stunning and worth the 1260 steps.

The area offers a range of activities such as island hopping on longtail boats to nearby famous islands like James Bond Island and Maya Bay. Very beautiful.
Bit overcrowded & over-expensive / But everyone is very nice.
The eastern side with cheaper accommodation doesn’t have a great beach, is kind of dirty with trash & has giant jellyfish.
Phra Nang beach, a 20 min walk is very pretty.
Everything is walkable - there’s no roads, it’s just a path from one end to the other. Many restaurants - selling from healthy food, coffee, weed & mushrooms (be aware there’s a lot on the island!), bars & resorts.
100 (x2) baht trail boat from Ao Nang (ask for return ticket also) - if not you can just pay the guy when you leave.
Beware of monkeys! They will steal your food and aren’t afraid to do it.

Railay beach used to have a reputation as a hippie enclave and you can still feel some of that history in the beach community.

Beautiful place but you have to block out the hoards of people and garbage piled up all over the beach and resort areas. The trash was really appalling. Really I’d give this place 3.5 stars.
Pros: we loved the lagoon hike and it’s definitely challenging! We enjoyed the epic sci-fi looking “floating” islands and swimming at the beach. I would have enjoyed rock climbing if I had time. The caves are quite nice too. The giant pile of phallic statues is hilarious. We took a boat to Ao Nang and rented a Moped and drove an hour and a half to emerald pool which was a very fun day.

Beautiful beach and wish we’d spent longer here! Definitely worth going for the sunsets and the music playing at the bars really fits the vibe! The only thing to be careful of are the men who take you on the boats as a group of us got ripped off. We were told after 7pm there is a extra fee so we asked to leave at 6:50pm and they refused unless we paid the fee even though most of us didn’t have cash! Nice beach, very touristy though. The beach was clean. If you want to swim with less people in the water, go in the morning.

A nice lagoon to relax. Thaiwand wall is worth hiking for the views. Great climbs there too!

It might be usually crowded but it's quite long, so you can find spots with shade -and of course to swim. Water is really nice (unlike Aonang) and the view is stunning.
Aris Pull — Google review
Among so many beaches this one is the beautiful we found. Less crowded and water is super clean. Must visit.

Peace, calm and open to swim.
Best time is to go there is sunset. You can book resort and stay for overnight, otherwise you can take private boats and visit there.
Dhiral Kaniya — Google review
Second time going to this beach, first time being in 2015. Didn't change much, except more people going there, but still not too crowded. The beach there is really nice, water is clear and warm. You can reach Railay Beach by taking a tail boat from Ao Nang Beach. Recommended

Busy, noisy but visually it was beautiful.
It’s a must do visit for Krabi visitors and we went to see it (like everyone else). It looked very stunning as a photo opportunity because it is in a cove and has the high cliffs.
Railay beach felt more of a tourist resort (granted we were tourists) and less Thai authentic than some other areas we have visited.
I wouldn’t go back if I stayed in this area again.
Oli Watherston — Google review
Glad we made the decision to stay at a resort on this beach. The view is stunning, surrounded by amazing scenery. Mornings are especially beautiful with a tranquil atmosphere—no people or boats around. Even during the day and sunset, it wasn’t as crowded as we anticipated. The walking street is very, lined with numerous shops and restaurants. Hopefully, we’ll be back soon!

Beautiful as ever but be aware there is a jellyfish plague ongoing all over Krabi beaches. People do currently not swim. Even though we didn’t find any yet there are deadly boxed jellyfish around. Be extremely careful.

Ao Nang, Krabi, Thailand
I'll never travel to Kathu without this trip planner again
Phra Nang Cave Beach, also known as Phra Nang Beach, is a breathtaking cove that has been recognized as one of the world's most beautiful beaches. It features a picturesque sandy shoreline adorned with sea caves and towering limestone formations. The beach is famous for its sacred cave, which holds significance in local legends about enduring love. Additionally, it is a popular destination for rock climbing enthusiasts, offering training courses and thrilling experiences.
One of my bucket list to be here. You need to come by the boat only. And here we come by our yacht. So we don't need to pay for expensive food and dri K at the resort 😬
Still impressed with the beauty of sunset time here.
Kanyanat Vimonchandr — Google review
Simply amazing! Just a short walk from Railay beach which is crowded and full with boats, this beach feels like paradise! The water was very clear, the rocks are so beautiful. There is also a funny fertility cave. You can easily relax there all day, less shade though, bring sun screen and food/ drinks. Totally recommended!
Nina Marinova — Google review
Hands down, One of the best beaches I have ever experienced. Photos doesnt do justice. Have to experience it for real. About 15-20 mins walk from Sand Sea Resort, but mostly are shaded areas
If you are sun or photo-sensitive (especially for kids), can swim to the area nearby the cliff/cave to avoid being fried up. Otherwise if you enjoy the sun, can always swim at the open area:
Pristine, crystal clear waters and finely granulated sands which are friendly to your feet. Got schools of fish too, small and large. Ideal for snorkelling.
Please do not miss this beach if you are ever in Railay. Wonderful experience.

What a beautiful cave and beach it is. You will definitely love it, one of the beautiful parts of your 4 Island tour of karabi. Very sceneric place for videos and photos.
Here you will get 40-45 minutes to visit the place but here we can spend the complete day with the beauty of nature.
Must place to visit!!!!!!!!

We rented two kayaks at Railay beach and kayaked over here. It was an incredible experience, crystal clear waters and the massive rock formations towering over the surface of the sea.
We also kayaked through a couple of caves and ended up at the beach.
This is one of the most spectacular spots in Thailand and I highly recommend visiting if you have time.

Amazing beach! The sea is transparent and clean. This shames Railay west beach where the majority of the tourist head....

Gorgeous, calm, and so safe to take your little ones to. Gets quite crowded during the holidays, but not overcrowded. Great vibe, Super relaxing. Must visit with a group!

Spectacular and beautiful beach, cave and rocky Island. It is a very busy place, so I recommend to go during the morning. Be careful if you go into the water because many sharp rocks. From there, take the walking trail that bring you on the others side.. you won’t regret it
Bleuet T — Google review
This beach was the best one in the area. I recommend going there and spend the whole day. The reason for that is that the water goes down during the day until late afternoon. You will see how the beach changes through the day and it’s beautiful. The way to the beach is quite easy and there is a lot of infrastructure for tourists, including bathrooms, kayaking, restaurants and a kiosk. You will be able to walk to the beach in front after 15:00 ~ 16:00 pm.
Deni Web — Google review
One of the most beautiful beaches in the world. I love how this beach is secluded and more difficult to get to, which prevents crowds. The limestone cliffs surrounding this beach make it a truly surreal and amazing experience. Highly recommend!
Blake Cronyn — Google review
Awesome beach. Beautiful fine sand and lovely water. Sheltered in a bay so no big waves really to be concerned about and a great place to either sunbathe or swim. Sunsets are beautiful. Well worth the visit.
Andrew “Andy” Davis — Google review
Beautiful. A must see if in the region. We took a kayak for 200THB per hour, and drifted round the mountains through to the beach from Railay. We'll worth visiting.
The Travelling Owl — Google review
I've been staying on Railay for many years and this is always my favourite beach. The cliffs at each end are stunning as well as the clear blue waters. It's great here because there are no longer boats allowed in the area so it's a quiet tranquil beach. Unfortunately there are no food and beverage establishments on this beach so best bring your own drink and snacks. Of the rite aid beaches this one is the best during low tide because the water is still deep enough to swim near the beach.
Joey B — Google review
If you bring your own drinks and food, I highly recommend this beach over the other two options. It offers a more serene and stunning environment, with fewer crowds. Depending on the time of day, you can enjoy walking or swimming to the nearby little island. Additionally, there are charming caves to explore, adding to the overall adventure. However, it is important to exercise caution with the monkeys. When food is left unattended, they can become quite bold and aggressive. It's best to keep a distance and not engage with them as they prioritize their quest for food.
Mo Jongenburger — Google review
The most beautiful beach I have ever been on. Water was warm. Fish were nibbling me. A swimming crab came and sat on my arm for a rest. I could sit there for hours just looking at the sea stacks and cliffs
Neale Simpkins — Google review
Highly recommended when you are at Railey.
Do not miss out on this beach when you are at Railey. Beautiful and clean beach even though there are quite a lot of people. If you want a quieter beach spot to rest, you have to brave the wave to walk to another side of the beach. Not too hard to walk over, but when the waves are strong it will be a little difficult.
Best spot to watch sunset as well.
Jennie Chan — Google review
Probably the most beautiful beach I have had the pleasure of walking on. The water is warm and clear and calm. Unlike other beaches in the area it is swimmable even at low tide It's almost deserted before 10:00 and after 18:00. No boats!

Beautiful beach but sometimes a little bit crowded!
Fantastic nature, climbing rocks and clear water 😍
Chris Z — Google review
It was one of the most beautiful beaches I have been to. We were on our Four Island trip and our ultimate destination was Phra Nang beach. The Cave beach is surrounded by hills in a remote island on Gulf of Thailand. The place was secluded, quaint and peaceful. We also watched the sunset from there. The experience was marvelous.
Piuli Basu Roy Chowdhury — Google review
Less than 10 minutes away from Railay Beach via a cute path, where, if lucky, you might spot monkeys climbing trees and walls.
The landscape is breathtaking, featuring a long sandy beach. I recommend walking and settling towards the middle or end for a more serene atmosphere with fewer people around. There are plenty of spots to capture, and while you're there, you can also explore the Princess Cave at the entrance, although in my opinion it might not be particularly special.
Alain Bart — Google review
Came here twice. Very clear water & good for snorkeling. You can see fish & corals if you choose the right spots. Can walk to the cliff in the sea on low tide and see a lot of corals.
Aris Pull — Google review
Phra Nang Beach is no more than 800 meters long. The beach is beautifully situated. At high tide it becomes quite narrow, especially in the middle part. The sand on the beach is very fine. Conditions for swimming are very good (snorkeling is good). "Long boats" are parked mainly in the middle part of the beach. In high season the beach is very crowded. Paid showers and toilets are available at the entrance to the beach, close to the Princess Cave.
In my opinion, Phra Nang Beach is a nice beach, worth visiting. Tourists who have not seen other beaches in Thailand will be delighted with it.
Mariusz Malec — Google review
Phra Nang Cave Beach is absolutely beautiful! The clear blue waters, soft sandy beaches, and impressive cliffs make for a picturesque scene.
Ao Nang Beach is a bustling and popular destination in Krabi province, known for its scenic views of mountains and boats on the horizon. Once a fishing village, it now offers numerous restaurants, bars, and accommodations to suit every budget. The 1km-long stretch of soft sand is lined with colorful longtail boats and overlooked by famous limestone cliffs, making it an Instagram-worthy paradise. Visitors can enjoy activities such as rock climbing, kayaking, spa treatments, or simply relaxing in hammocks.
Very nice beach off the small town but still very close.
Richard Borgstr?m — Google review
The landscape is amazing but unfortunately there are roaring long boats all the time that keep going back and forth emitting very nasty smocks 💨
The water usually is nice and clean, very shallow and calm. Very good for sunset 🌅
I don't advise to go swimming that much since long boat risk to run over you 🥲 ... also not good for snorkelling 🤿

One can witness long tail boats over here. It may be difficult to swim in this beach which is not surrounded by long tail boats
Normally this is the place as the base for phi phi Island tours. Apart from that , one can see beautiful sunsets and fire shows held almost every day

The beach is nice. Although you do not have a lot of space to lie if it is high tide. The water is lovely and I love the waves. The beach is not soft sand but you still can walk with bare feet

Beautiful beach of Krabi nearer to the market and lots of hotels and resorts. The beach is long, very picturesque and one can spend a lot of time here with family. The waves are also good you can view lots of long tail boats around the place. Lots of people here on weekends and also during evening there is a fire show done by locals which was good to watch. Beautiful beach where you can take amazing pictures.

Ao Nang beach is a picturesque paradise, boasting stunning views that captivate the soul. The vibrant market adds a lively touch, offering a delightful experience during the long evening walks by the beach. The combination of natural beauty and the bustling market creates an unforgettable atmosphere that truly defines the charm of Ao Nang.

A nice beach to sit and enjoy the evening. The beach is long and clean. It's sandy beach. The sea is beautiful here. There are many shops and restaurants nearby. The sunset is very beautiful on this beach. This beach is not as heavily commercialized as some of the other beaches. Hence, a good place to spend a quiet evening!

Great beach ⛱️ with awesome night market ❤️ at walking distance. At beach there is a free fire 🔥 show, you can tip as per your wish at the end of the show to the artists. Long boats 🚢 are available if you want a tour from here. Also there are several tours like 7 island tour etc. which you can book from beach side shops. Sea 🌊 shore is good for kids also as slope is very slow. Several restaurants with multiple cuisines like thai, mexican indian etc. are at walking distance. So many hotels are available nearby beacah itself. Cannabis shops are also at the beach side walkway if you want to go High 🤸.
Overall wonderful experience ✨️ 🥰😍🤩😘.

A perfect place to catch beautiful sunsets. The beach has a lot more around. You can also find a promenade near the beach where you can stroll around.
There are several shops and eateries on the street near the promenade.
There is a fire show in the evening at the beach which is very interesting and entertaining. I suggest to not miss seeing this show.
The area is always bustling with people around and is lively.

A very nice beach, with beautiful surroundings. But there are not so nice things too: the sewage water which in two places directly flows in the sea. For this reason I think it’s better to swim on Railay beach.

Ao Nang is simply stunning and it was even more so when we visited just around Christmas 2021. Hardly had any visitors/tourists and we pretty much had the entire beach to ourselves.

Usually the beaches near to major towns are dirty but not this one. This one is very long beach with multiple entry points along the road. The extreme left part is the most beautiful. I enjoyed visiting specially late in the night and sit near the beach on the bench with a drink.

Its quite long beach and the main point for watching the sunset, walk, sit and relax, etc. It’s also where all taxi boats run from, so I don’t find the beach and the water clean enough. But the rock formations and the view to the other islands is beautiful.

Ao Nang Beach is a picturesque destination that has earned a solid 4-star rating from me.
The beach's scenic beauty is truly captivating, with its soft sands and crystal-clear waters creating a mesmerizing backdrop for visitors to enjoy. The cleanliness of the beach is commendable, making it a pleasant environment for all to relish.
While the beach is undoubtedly a popular spot, it can get quite busy, especially during peak times. This may not be the best choice for those seeking a quiet and secluded spot for relaxation and sunbathing. However, it's perfect for a quick dip or a leisurely walk along the shoreline with friends.
One of the highlights of Ao Nang Beach is its stunning sunsets, providing a magnificent view that is a must-see for any visitor. Additionally, the beach comes alive in the evenings with various activities and entertainment, making it an exciting spot to spend time with friends and loved ones.
In conclusion, Ao Nang Beach offers a scenic and lively experience, making it an ideal destination for a quick dip, leisurely strolls, and witnessing beautiful sunsets. While it may get busy, the beach's charm and vibrant atmosphere more than compensate for it, creating a memorable beach experience.
Hope this helps 🙏

Nice beach at Ao Nang. It's the main beach in town and the easiest accessible beach. It's also the beach from which you depart to Railay Beach. The vibe here is nice, especially during sunset! The sand was a bit rough though at where we sat and there are many boats parked in the middle of the beach.

Very pretty beach and offers a great sunset from the many bars and restaurants opposite. To the left of the beach (if facing the sea) the monkey trail was fun up the bamboo scaffold and will lead to another private beach tonsai beach

One of the worst beaches I have been to yet. The only good thing is the amazing view. The water is really dirty and it seems like the sewer ends in it directly (where the monkey trail starts). The sidewalk is full of trash that doesn’t seem to be picked up frequently.

Ko Poda is a picturesque island with stunning white-sand beaches and crystal-clear turquoise waters, making it a perfect spot for activities like snorkeling. It's part of the Four Islands Tour, which also includes Ko Thab, Ko Kai, and Phra Nang Cave Beach. The highlight of this tour is Phra Nang Cave Beach, where visitors can walk to the end of the beach to reach the famous cave.

Koh Poda is a small yet beautiful limestone island off the western coast of Thailand, known for its smooth sandy beaches and clear turquoise sea waters.
Despite its small size, it has become a popular tourist destination due to its natural beauty and water sports activities.
You can explore the island on foot, enjoying the sugary soft sand and palm trees surrounding it.
It is home to a beautiful coral reef, a limestone cliff, and calm waters, making it an ideal spot for swimming, snorkeling, and kayaking.
It is accessible by boat from nearby beaches of Ao Nang and Rai Leh, with prices varying based on facilities and comfort.
The best time to visit is in the morning, preferably by 9:00 or 10:00 am, as the boat facility closes around 4pm, providing less crowd and more open space for relaxation.
It is part of an extensive group of largely uninhabited and semi-habited islands along the western coast of Thailand.
Koh Poda Island is a secluded island with beautiful scenery and a lack of fancy bars, restaurants, or beach resorts.
You can enjoy activities like snorkeling but must arrange equipment from tour companies or bring their own.
There is only a small bar and no restaurants, so you must make arrangements for lunch.
Due to the abundance of monkeys, it is important to protect your belongings.
For visiting : you can make planning in the morning, carrying valuables in a waterproof backpack, paying the 400 Baht entrance fee to park rangers, and packing lunch as there are no restaurants.
Jubaida Sheikh — Google review
Highly recommend exploring the entire island, as it hosts multiple gorgeous sandy beaches all hosting incredible views of the many tropical islands that surround it. This place is truly a paradise and extremely photogenic, even walking through the interior through the palm tree forests rather than around the edge of the beach is a beautiful walk. Definitely spend as much time here as you can.
Usually tours will visit this island, as well as the nearby sandbar islands if coming from Krabi, and coming from Phuket they might also include a visit to Krabi and Railay Beach (or it’s sister beach Phra Nang Beach).
Zachary Kay — Google review
The lack of information from the tour guide made us only focus on distributing lunch on this island without knowing if the object that must be visited on Koh Poda is its iconic rock. Again, we noticed it when we left the island.

You can reach easily Poda island from Aonang beach by boat, return ticket is 300 bhat and national park fee is additional 200. You will just have to wait while at least 6 people come for the same ride but in a season it is very quick, it is 15 minutes ride from Aonang. Better go there earlier in the morning beacause the last return is at 4pm. The same boat will wait for you for the way back. You will be taken at the front beach just for individual trips and probbably won't be busy. The beach at the other side is for islands excursions and is crowded with tours if you come after 12 pm. But you can walk there to buy drinks or ice cream, there is a park as well. You can ask your boat driver to take you at the secret beach for some fee you give him extra. It is beautiful little spot at the edge of Poda island good for snorkling, you will see a lot of fish there.

It is an island accessible only by boat from Ao Nang and Noppaharat Thara pier. I took a four-island day-trip package. This was the last spot. The tour agency arranged lunch here and gave a notable duration for having lunch and relaxation, and exploring the island. Phang Nga Elephant Park is a reputable ethical wildlife sanctuary that provides opportunities for jungle walks and feeding and bathing elephants. Visitors can appreciate the close observation of these majestic creatures, feed them bananas, and snap pictures with them without the exploitation associated with circuses or shows. The park's rehabilitation efforts are commendable, making it an ideal destination for those who want to support elephant conservation. Volunteers are affable and welcoming while food is appetizing.
amazing place! they are taking such a great care of the elephants and doing an amazing rehabilitation work. this is a REAL sanctuary, so don't expect to ride one the elephants or to see some silly show. Instead they will let you observe from a close distance, feed them some bananas and take pictures with the elephants. BUT, this is what you want. its very important to only support the places that actually help elephants, and stay away from the shows and circuses that exploit the animals and treat them bad
we came as a big family and everyone from age 2 to 70 had an amazing time

There Are many elephant parks in Thailand. But the work these people do in order to preserve the life and well-being of the elephants seems to be above par. Elephants are well taken care of and they do bareback riding. Instead of riding in a cage on top of elephant. Bareback riding is supposed to be better for the elephant, but also really enhances the experience. It is worth the cost, it is a little bit more expensive. But overall the experience and education is worth it. One of the highlights of our Thailand trip

We very much enjoyed feeding, walking and bathing with the elephants in their natural habitat.
Emy was a great tour guide!
We also appreciated the fast planning of our private family tour from Jakrapop.
Our warmest recommendation! 🤩🐘
Food and drinks were also great, but we missed spice and a little chili in the lunch. 🌶️
The facilities are nice and clean.

One of the best experiences we’ve ever had. Were a family of 4 (10 and 12 year old and 2 adults) and we wanted an ethical experience and this was just that. Walking with the elephant, feeding, washing as well as some excellent info beforehand and food. Thank you! 🙏

We visited this park as part of our getyourguide trip. It was a very modern park and after research it looks like this is a park with proper treatment to elephants. And from how we can judge, we think this is fine. There is enough space for them, of course wildlife would be the best option but we don’t know the reasons why they are locked in. Feeding was fun, we actually prepared the food for them. And the bathing was a very cool experience, it looked like the elephants enjoyed it too. And the water was clean, in other places it’s very muddy. We can definitely recommend this park

The most incredible place, we didn’t want to leave. Only negative I have is it wasn’t long enough. So professional in every way, lovely staff and just perfect in every way. Not just worth one visit but many more.

Wow what an experience! We booked the dusk elephant experience and it did not disappoint! Anna was an amazing host and was so knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions we had. It’s obvious that they put the welfare of the elephants first, only doing what they are happy doing, for as long as they are happy doing it. Even the food they served was incredibly delicious! 100% recommended for anyone who loves elephants

Amazing experience for all, came with our 2 children who also got to paint an elephant. The dinner was also very nice, with lovely drinks. Ammy was a really engaging and fun host.
Phang Nga Bay is a picturesque waterway that offers kayak tours and boat excursions. It boasts stunning views of the nearby cliffs, caves and rock formations that make for an unforgettable experience. If you're planning to visit, be sure to book with a reliable operator to fully enjoy its wonders. The bay's most famous attraction is James Bond Island which can be reached by taking a cool boat ride out to the island.
One of the most beautiful national parks we have visited. This National part is part of the southern of Thailand. It’s famous for James Bond Islamd, it’s amazing caves, limestones and green clean water. We reserved a kayak tour and it was amazing. We went around the island and saw many beautiful caves and rock formations. You have to try this at least once on life.
Armita Z — Google review
Absolutely gorgeous, yet not without problems. The beaches on the remote islands are full of trash. Rangers patrol, but they seem most interested in collecting the national park fee. I don't know if they ever pick up trash. Most of the plastic waste looks like it comes from fishermen judging by the composition: styrofoam, fishing net, energy drink bottles, etc. Jet skis are illegal in the bay, but they seem common. Certain parts of the bay can get really noisy and crowded, but it's easy to avoid those places unless you sign up with a mass tourism company to go on a tour. Avoid James Bond Island, Koh Panyi, and Koh Hong if you don't want to be part of a crowd.
Koh Yao Noi is delightful! Basically, do some research and you can have a wonderful experience. The bay is very worth visiting.

A very surreal experience for a group of us cousins who visited the place a couple of weeks ago.
It was a part of the James Bond island package tour. The views en-route were mesmerising.
We had a beautiful experience on the canoe at the phang nga bay. The canoe operators are smooth talkers - well trained to highlight the beauty of the place and also know how to charm you 😊
We had a great time. We were awestruck by the views surrounding us. The beautiful rock formations and the greens sprouting out of the rocks.

Take a long boat ride around the bay. Stop at the Koh Panyee village on the water.
Pass through the waterways under the rocks.
See "The Jumping Tiger" on one of the islands.
Pass by the famous James Bond Island featured in The Man with The Golden Gun 1974 movie.
Multiple photo opportunities. I suggest a camera with good lenses over a phone.
The boat catches lots of sprinkles at high speed so be careful with your camera and phone.

Beautiful bay, with the most famous being James Bond Island.
Stunning boat ride out to the island. Cool little spot to take pictures and see the iconic island that was made famous by James Bond movie (the man with golden gun). A little touristy.
You have to pay a fee to land on the island and your around.
We did this as a tour and part of the package included a kayak experience (guided, no work on your part) at Hong island.

We were approached by agents from travel agency while waiting to board to Phuket from Bangkok Don Muang airport (DMK). We bought the day trip to Phang Nga specially hearing the James bond island where shooting of James Bond movie the guy with Golden Gun took place. A mini van took us from hotel at Patong to north easter port & we boarded a speed boat in group. Water was not blue but we were thrilled to see vast mangrove trees & hills over sea. Experience on lime stone sea cave & James Bond Island was unforgettable. A must visit place while in Thailand.

Here, you will find more activities on the island with boating cannoying and discover new places, and there are lots of islands that you can visit canyoning and boating.
Phang Nga Bay lies between southern Thailand's mainland and Phuket Island. Also known as Ao Phang Nga National Park, it's characterized by limestone cliffs and rock formations, as well as mangrove forests and small islands. Among the islands are Koh Tapu, known as James Bond Island for its appearance in a Bond film.

This was a bucket blister. James Bond Island has been a place I wanted to visit since I discovered it. Now I have!
Gorgeous and not so overly packed. Touristy, but not horrendous.
Did a bit of snorkeling here for my first time, someone who suffers from thalassophobia, glad I got myself to do it.
Definitely worth it.

Phang Nga Bay is a wonderful place to spend the day. Like some other reviewers have said, it isn't without issues, but the natural beauty outshines these negatives. We took a short, spontaneous tour from Ban Khlong Khian Pier to James Bond Island. Just a reminder, keep cash on hand. We weren't planning on this trip and spent all of our cash on the boat ride, so we could not tour the island itself (yes, there's a fee).

This island, popularly known as "James Bond Island," provides visitors with the opportunity to shop, swim and explore caves that are visible at low tide. The island features two rock mountains that lay on top of each other, creating a picturesque angle for photography. Additionally, the surface of these rocks boast a unique texture which adds to its allure. This is the same location featured in James Bond movies. A small cave is also situated on this island offering a similar experience as seen in pictures.
The James Bond Island or Khao Phing Kan island was a really nice place to visit. Along with the James Bond rock in the middle of the sea, the island also has a leaning limestone rock which is a great photo spot. We also went inside the cave nearby and the view of the ocean through the cave windows. It is a must place to visit.

The island is very impressive, such a nice creation of nature. However, the beach around it could be improved.
If looking for a great picture, on the left side if the beach, there are some stairs to a better view point of the island. Take a shot from there.
Overall, great place to visit.

I must say that when we went here there were reviews that experience was underwhelming for few people but I politely disagree. The structure is the middle of the water looks amazing and looked so much better than what we saw in the movie
There are ample photo opportunities and you want to be careful while swimming in muddy water because of sea shells.
Must visit

James Bond island as it is known was a really tranquil experience. The views from the island really make you feel like you are in paradise. There are some toilets on the island, but don't expect them to be hotel quality.
There are also some shops on the island for souvenirs and refreshments, but you can expect to pay a premium for the convenience, so make sure you take enough refreshments with you.

White Sand Beach, also known as Coconut Beach, is often hailed as one of the most stunning beaches in Khao Lak. Situated in the bay north of Pakarang Cape, it offers a picturesque setting for visitors to enjoy. Whether you choose to stay nearby or just spend a day there, this beach promises a delightful experience with its pristine sands and inviting waters.
The International Tsunami Museum is a place where people can learn about past tsunamis, the timeline of the disaster, and post-tsunami history. There are also exhibits and photos related to the 2004 tsunami in Thailand. The museum is open to the public and it is a great resource for anyone wanting to learn more about this devastating event.
Interesting yet sad display commemorating the 2004 Tsunami that devastated Khao Lak.
Worth a visit while you're visiting this area.
300฿ entrance fee for foreigners. Free for locals. The fee goes towards maintaining this non-profit museum.

Lots of photos but feels a bit worn down. The picture on the TV on the upper floor is almost not visible and the audio is too low to hear anything. Not worth the 300 baht entrance fee. Go to the local guy behind near the boat instead, you can look at some photos for free and but a drink or a souvenir from the local shop
Magnus W — Google review
A simple place, the police boat being the main exhibit. There is a “museum” but we weren’t sure if it was an official one, looks more like a shop front. There is a small shack that hands out books of photos from the tsunami to look at and sells little souvenirs. This could be so much better, maybe could have names of lost souls on plaques around the grounds.
Manx Crusader — Google review
I went there because it is near my hostel. However, there aren't nothing much there.
But if you go there, you can read and see the 813 boat and some information.

Yo, so I totally got to check out the 813 ship that got hit by that crazy tsunami in Phang Nga, Khao Lak zone this morning. Bummer that the museum was closed, but guess what? I still snagged a pic with the 813 warship, the one that's all responsible for looking after Khun Phum Jensen's stuff. 📸🚢 #Adventures #813Ship #KhaoLakVibes

Weird place, there was only one building with a few paintings and the police boat, not much more information other than a shack outside the gate owned by others that had lots of photos, I expected to be moved and informed but came away disappointed.
Edit : we did see that building but nobody was around, obviously just a lack of direction or signs as others were doing the same as us, glad there’s a proper exhibition and the money goes to good causes
Simon Mabury — Google review
Great place to visit. Even if it is very simple, visit this place to honor all People died over here is à must to do. To see this boat at 2km from the beach show the strength of the tsunami. In the movie, we see the boat jist before the wave.
Fabrice1973 — Google review
The actual please with the museum seems closed. There is a visitors center from a non-profit Organisation outside of the actual place, with photos and films about the tragedy. 300TBH entry per person, which is ok. Take some time to watch the documentaries at the first floor (there is a room for English and another for German). Then go out and check out the boat, which has been thrown inside the land 2km during the first two tsunami waves. Around the corner, there is a private shack, they have some additional photos in a photo-book. Those pictures might not be suitable for all audiences, some are hard to swallow. They don’t charge, but expect that you buy some souvenir or donate.
Richard Bretzger — Google review
A little depressing, but worth a visit. Understand how high the wave was and what it caused. The name of the monument comes from the number of the patrol ship that washed ashore 2 km from the sea.
Kati Tuomikivi — Google review
Could have done so much more with this, a Monument with the names of those affected as somewhere to go and remember them. Instead it's 4 rooms with photos and video of the survivors played on a loop. The boat outside is fairly interesting but again not enough information about it and nothing else there. It is fairly interesting but you cannot hear the TVs a and the building is basically a converted convenience store. I would give this a miss and donate directly to one of the Tsunami charities and foundations.

My heart goes out to the victims of this tragic event. Love that the entrance fee is given as charity for local kids. Took my kids around and shared some learnings with them too. Nice boat, can be seen from outside the museum.
Chief Ushup — Google review
A sobering reminder of the strength of nature. It's FREE and will give an eye-opening insight into the tragedy that happened here.
We spent about 45 minutes to 1 hour here, and that was sufficient. There are a few close by cafés, shops, and taxi services.
Simon — Google review
Unfortunately the place has been let go quite a bit. Hope it's just because of Covid, but empty buildings & overgrown in places. A real shame. However a small display as you walk in with lots of photos (a lot very hard to look at with dead bodies, but you have to look at them because it's part of history and see exactly what these humble Thai people went through. Truly shocking and terrible.) A local man there who luckily survived tells his story & got the scars both externally (and internally). It's an emotional place. Worth a visit. It's free entry but you can buy souvenirs there & money goes to a Tsunami fund. They are very overpriced so hopefully the money goes in the right direction!

Soi Dog Foundation, located in Phuket, Thailand, is a non-profit organization dedicated to caring for rescue dogs and cats of all ages. The foundation offers guided tours for visitors who want to learn more about their work. Soi Dog sterilizes around 12,000 animals annually, contributing to safer streets and roads. Visitors can also volunteer their time to help care for the animals.
Definitely worth a visit especially if you love dogs and cats. They are the people that really care about animals and do a lot of work behind the scenes, from rescuing/saving/curing animals, to great things like ended dogs trade in Thailand. They are a nonprofit organization, so please support them by volunteering, adopting, and sponsoring/donating.

really organised operation and the guided tour was pretty informative! kudos to Sylvia for giving us a nice tour, it seems quite apparent that the staff cares and does try their best with the shelter animals. if you’re in Phuket and have some time, i highly recommend that you give it a visit or volunteer to help give the 1,200 dogs a walk. (it seems like they only can manage 3-4 walks a week for each dog, because it relies heavily on volunteers to take each dog out.) some of the stories are really heart wrenching and i was wiping away tears along with the sweat while on the tour.
i’ll definitely make time to be back here when we plan another trip to Phuket. pls keep up the good work! i was in Bali recently and the amount of strays there since covid has really exploded, really hope Soi Dogs can help to do something about it there 🥹

An absolute must - easily done when heading to the airport or driving out of Phuket. The entire set up is fantastic and the absolute care from the volunteers/staff is outstanding. All are angels.
Our guide Gan (hopefully spelt right) was a pleasure and full of joy humour. Learnt so much about all the projects they do even outside the facility, the dogs and cats, the procedures they have such as keeping all cats and dogs until they’re adopted and when they’re not they set up sponsorship programs and keep them forever. Any injured, abandoned or uncared for dog will be rescued and cared for until then. Going even further than that, any soi dog that prefers to live outside as they’re cared for by the community and tourists they will still capture and neuter and vaccinate and take back to where they came from. If you’ve been in Thailand for any time you’ll see that many dogs prefer to be able to roam free, but rather than let them get sick or produce puppies that will also be strays they take care of this. That part really got me.
We learnt about the founder, who sadly passed a few years ago. About all the facilities they have and how all the animals are separated into groups that make them comfortable (teenager, senior, small, shy etc) and same for cats (healthy, FEV, FELV). You’re allowed to spend as long as you like with th cats at the end (however we were early and was allowed to see them prior to the tour which was very nice of them). The puppies were only in kennels when we came because it was raining heavy, usually they would be out playing in the play area :)
Could go on forever, but better to check out yourself! They’re always in need of volunteers for all sorts, even down to flying with animals to other countries where they’ve been adopted if it’s where you’re going anyway! Thanks again all 💙

It is obvious that all the staff and volunteers care and love the animals. We arrived slightly after 10am and were brought around a tour of the premises. We went with two kids (3yo and 5yo) and were also allowed to pet the cats, with parental supervision. The kids were a little too small to play with the puppies because they were kind of big. The animals were lovely and gentle, seemingly appreciative of the wonderful care that they were given. Also met a couple of warm hearted volunteers from all over the world who stopped by to introduce the doggies they were walking. There was no hard selling or request for donations, which made us even more happy to contribute to the cause. A wonderful spirited place, thanks very much for the hospitality and positive vibes.

Splash Jungle Water Park, located near Phuket International Airport on Mai Khao Beach, is a popular family attraction in Phuket. The park offers a variety of activities including a 330-meter Lazy River, hot spring, wave pool with lifeguard supervision, Aqua Play Pool for families, and water slides for both kids and adults. Additionally, there's a carousel for kids and the Splash Bridge provides great photo opportunities.
Very quiet fairly large water park. A little worn but worth the money. Very good for children as well as adults with children's minds left.

We will never come here again, the waterpark kidding people. You are not allow to bring you own towels in, as well your own food OR water. And the best is, you have to pay for a towel. Seriously? I don’t get why they not charge it at the entrance, because a towel for me is absolutely necessary in a waterpark. So it is really kidding to rent it after the entrance and spoils the mood.
Tillmann David — Google review
Avoid this place
Very unsafe and in desperate need of upkeep.
What water park doesn’t allow you to bring your own towel but then charges you for use of their towels on entry.
No food or drinks allowed to be brought inside - basically looking to grab any money they can from you.
The ground in water park had loose sharp stones which meant you would see people suddenly yelp as they step on a small sharp stone - kids especially!
Most of the areas in the park were filthy and in need of repair - especially the pool area in the mountain area, blocks of cement were in the water from being broken off and just left, the area looked condemned rather than family safe.
Pete Ryan — Google review
This place is very run down and appears in need of maintenance.
We first visited this waterpark 4 years ago, and our entire family had so much fun, we stayed until closing, and wished we didn't have to leave.
A few days before this visit, we visited the new Andamanda water park. Half of its rides were closed, which was disappointing, and this is the reason we decided to go back and visit Splash Jungle again.
The place was almost empty...probably less than 100 people there. I felt really sorry for the staff who must have had cut back hours.
I do commend the waterpark that they remained fully open, with all rides operating. It was like having a private water park all to ourselves. There were absolutely zero waiting times, and we could go on any ride as many times as we wanted without waiting.
But the park is operating on a skeleton staff. Instead of 1 person operating 1 ride, one person was responsible for operating 2, sometimes 3 rides. This did sometimes mean that guests were not being guided as closely as they ordinarily would have been, though it didn't seem to matter.
On the Lazy River, there are normally lifeguards all along the length of it, but there were none. There was no one ensuring people who couldn't swim put on life jackets before entering the water, but I guess self-regulation by guests works just as well as supervision, as we didn't see anyone get into trouble.
Some rides were not functioning properly. My wife and children got stuck on the Super Bowl... there seems to be a problem with the water pressure. I also got stuck with my other child when going on it. We got stuck in the middle of the bowl and a staff member had to slide down the ride and help us get moving.
We also got stuck at the start of the Boomerango ride, again because of a lack of water pressure.
Getting stuck on these 2 rides was worrying. They are the scariest (so most fun) rides at the park, so the fact that they had operational problems was worrying. We did not ride on them again.
There appears to be water leaking from the bottom of all of the rides, which left us wondering...is the lack of water pressure on the rides caused by all the water leaks? Is this the reason for the rides not working properly?
Some water pipes have been repaired with black rubber sealant, but still leaking water. Some leaks are from large rubber seals that need replacing. Some parts have been leaking for so long, green plants are growing underneath the leaks!!
In all places there are water leaks, and there is rust on the metal it is leaking on. All around the park, there is rusting metal. Some stair railings, for example, have completely rusted away. There will be a time soon when the park will need to be closed to replace all the large rubber seals and many rusted metal structures.
The staff at the park were all friendly and very kind.
The food we ate was of very good quality.
If you want to go to a waterpark and have it all to yourself, this could be a good time to go.
David Granger — Google review
During our stay at the hotel, entrance to the water park was included. The water park is quite rundown and is likely most enjoyable for children aged 8-12, with a recommended maximum visit duration of 2-3 hours. It's important not to set your expectations too high.
Unfortunately, towels, drinks, and food are not permitted inside the park, presumably as a means for them to recoup costs. During our visit, we noticed few people consuming food or beverages, and there were only a few rented towels due to the inconvenient cash top-up system for wristbands at the entrance. Additionally, all of the cabanas remained empty, as the price of 600 THB deterred visitors.
The slides are satisfactory, and the fact that you have to walk up to the top provides good exercise. The water quality in the pool is acceptable but could benefit from additional sand filters.
Maintenance at the park follows a classic Thai-style approach, where rusty steel is consistently painted over, and broken tiles are not promptly repaired.

Absolutely love it! Great place for kids and families. Amazing bracelet system where you can put money on the nfc bracelet they gave you. There are many waterside and the wartime is maximum 2 minutes. No queues, delicious food and warm water everywhere! Lazy river is a great experience in here, since it's long, relaxing and it goes through a few caves. Very good! I'm definitely coming back here many times. Maybe I will post photos if I get some :)

It was not very big. I found it cute and easy to enjoy. All the games here are not so frightening and coward like me can also enjoy everything here. The crowd was just fine not to many but not less.

We came here as an impulse decision and arrived at 3:30pm staying until close. We loved it. Kids under 5 go free, buy tickets from a third party website like Agoda to save 300 bhat pp. You don’t need a locker- plenty of spare loungers to put your belongings on.
There are no crowds and no waiting for anything. Lots of slow slides into very shallow water that even my 15 month enjoyed. Plenty of floats for lazy river. You have to rent a towel (70bhat) and food is obviously more expensive ( Nutella roti 100Bhat,280bhat margarita pizza). Some sort of crocs/ pool shoes / sliders useful in heat of the day as floor gets v, hot.
100% Recommend for younger families!

One of the worst and best experiences of my life. What made it so good was that it was a Beautiful area. Poorly run hotel. Most of the water park was rusty and run down.
They went into our closet and took our umbrella leaving us in the hotel lobby waiting over 45 minutes for one. Families were walking around with multiple umbrellas. We had to ask a random person for their umbrella. I can only imagine how long we would have waited.
They insisted I go back to my room (in the monsoon rain) to wait for the umbrella. I said no I will wait in the lobby.
House keeping on more than one occasion took all our towels, face towels, and numerous stuff. Leaving us with absolutely nothing for the shower. We again waited over 40 minutes for them to bring us a towel. They didn’t even replace the face towels or floor mat.
Our key to our room, on more than one occasion flunked out, locking us out of our room. So we either had to walk 20+ minutes back to the lobby or wait over 45-60 minutes for a shuttle that doesn’t take you directly where you want to go. You go in circles and circles before making it to the destination you called to go too.
When taking the shuttle to and from places inside the resort be warned they won’t stop just for you. I went from the hotel lobby. We stopped at 6 different buildings (I was going to the restaurant) for them to turn around (less than a block from the restaurant) and go back to the lobby, to yet again stop at a bunch of buildings to only circle back around to the lobby. I wasted 40+ minutes.
This hotel is a money grab. You can not bring your own towel to the splash park pool, you have to buy one there.
Our AC did not work in the unit and they refused to help us. They said that it worked.
The left one room with 0 supplies. No utensils or cups or anything and we booked a double room.
The inconsistently of this hotel is a drag. Spend your money else where.
The one bar tender was lovely.
Seriously one of the most expensive places I’ve been in Thailand.
Do not come here. Find a different hotel where you won’t be constantly let down.

I stayed at the Splash Resort for just one night in February as I had an early flight leaving from Phuket International Airport.
The Water Park was an absolute blast, February is peak season, but the water park wasn't busy and could go round and round on the slides with virtually no wait or queues. The park isn't enormous, but has a good selection of rides and would keep the average family for a day or a weekend.
There is a reasonably priced restaurant in the park that serves good Thai food .. and my favorite .. sticky rice.
Overall, the park and the resort was great value for money, its clean, friendly, and safe. It was the perfect stop off before leaving Phuket.

Well after reading the other reviews of it being a money pit, we went anyway. Yes, the reviews of it being run down are also correct, BUT.... As a lot of reviews say, there are ZERO queues to get to the rides themselves - maybe ten minutes max at the worst of what we got, but also waiting in the shade. Beware the ride where six of you sit in the tube. My wife had to grab a small kid mid-air as he was being launched from the ride, and then my daughter's grab handle ripped off due to us being thrown around, and she broke my wife's rib from the impact of her being thrown. Pity about that, as the rest of the day was awesome fun. Oh, and yes, it is EXPENSIVE once you're in, with all the reviews about bringing in nothing including towels then having to pay for it.

considering we only paid 1 adult entrance fee (850thb) and both kids got in for free, a great value for money. Spend a bit of money for food and drinks but all reasonable priced. Towels and locked all reasonable priced with 150thb for towel. Food was also alright but dont expect anything fancy. The slides are all fun, the lifeguards are on watch. Just all metal pieces, bars, brackets really need a makeover. Its old and rusty and just a matter of time someone hurts him or herself. Just watch out. All in all a good experience. Wouldnt buy tickets in advance. Would have ended up much more expensive than going direct. All in all we spend 2500thb with taxi to and baxk, entrance, drinks and food and towels for 1 adult +2 x 4 yesr old kids

The park is ok. We bought the tickets online, besides that we had to make the line of the people who are buying tickets there. It’s very difficult to wait in the line with a 4 year old with autism 😬, that is why we always buy tickets online. There is no information in the website for people with disabilities. You can not bring your own food, again if you have special circumstances that is not nice, my little one only drank Fanta. For the rest of us food was nice. Pizza it’s quite good and they have many choices of food. You can not pay with card, you need to bring cash and recharge a watch they give you in the entrance. That is annoying. You can not bring your own towels.

The hotel was great.
Food was not expensive, both hotel and Waterpark
Room service and food at the swimming pool were a bit slow. (May be under staffs during pandemic?)
Cocktail were cheap.
Nice beach and a few minutes walk to see the plane landing.
Defo will be back again

It’s close to Airport and far from the city. Pretty small in terms of rides and options compared to usual water parks but it’s still was a fun place to be. Kids were enjoying and adults were able to sunbathe or just relax on their inclines chairs. Multiple pools including a hot pool. It was a day well spent.
Don’t carry any food or your own water as they will check the bags and will ask to leave it before entering the park.
