Great experiences after we boarded a boat trip in Ream through mangrove channels and forest with a bit of swimming in Koh Som Poch Beach with lunch and then saw a few lovely dolphins near Koh Thmei Island.

Chinese companies have now all important areas in Cambodia. So is allways an adventure to go where you want to go. Also Google maps is not to be trusted under all most any circumstance. Chinese build big walls around all areas and road STOPS (no go road). So if you want to see something nice, must become 'creative'!

I went to Wet injoy Waterpark. It is not often that you get a combination of exciting activities, delicious food and adrenaline pumping all in one place, and Wet n Joy Waterpark is certainly one of those locations. It is great place to

There're birds, wildlife, and fence in a walkway to protect nature.

It was great! Make sure to come here before noon, it will be deserted and amazing but then around 11 the tourists buses came in. Take the western tourist line to go to the bridge to the Island. There's lots to explore here.

would be a great place and is if you have the ability to ignore all the rubbish that is left behind and washed up on the shore.

We explored this park by bike and it was just awesome. Lingam peak is defenetly worth to visit, bring some food with you, it is cool place to have picnic.

Not worth the (way too expensive) Tuktuk trip (we paid 25 dollars to get from Otres Beach to the park). When we arrived tours and boat trips appeared to be way more expensive than mentioned in the travel guide. Boat trip was a bit a disappointment, we only saw some birds and didn’t really went into the “jungle”. The guide was nice and told us a lot about the Cambodian culture but it was definitely not worth 65 dollars (Tuktuk and boat fee)!

Otres Beach is a stunning stretch of white sand adorned with tamarisk and casuarina trees, making it a popular destination for first-time visitors to Sihanoukville. Despite the touristy shops and eateries, the beach has managed to maintain a cleaner and less crowded atmosphere compared to its neighbors. This three-kilometer crescent of white sand offers a more relaxed vibe, especially at the far end where it's less touristed.
Very nice place for now and special price hotel 2022

Best after 5pm due to paralyzing heat. Since roads, wide sidewalks, and free public toilets n showers installed, it's been drawing in the local crowd n vendors. Looking up!
Joseph Ng — Google review
Otres beach lose the charm and authenticity of its original because of the heavily of chinese investment in this area and overall sihanoukville.
This beach used to be very nice and calm but not anymore.
There are some hotels around this area.
Nguon Sominea — Google review
Not much here was my opinion, the large road and paved area next to the beach make the area look barren. Opposite large areas of derelict buildings or half built structures add nothing to it's charm. To be honest, avoid Sinoukville completely.
Mark Honeyman — Google review
The beach is stunning, but there is some litter and food waste along the pathway. Motorcyclists using the walkway should exercise caution
Chanchai Kasemsukprakarn — Google review
Nice place to catch the golden hour.
It can be crowded at some spots but you can choose where you want to sit down.
Nearby a lot of guest houses/hotels and it has a lot of food vendor where you can enjoy local food and drinks.
Joanna Marie Reg — Google review
The waters were clean and very warm, but the beach had a lot of garbage... as well as the whole area actually which is a construction place of Chinese mega resorts. Although I must admit, one can catch a pretty impressive sunset from Otres beach, there is really nothing else interesting to do or to see here. In my opinion, unless you are catching a plane/ferry and you have to spend a night in Sihanoukville, you may skip the area entirely.
I Z — Google review
Pretty beach and good sand but unfortunately the Chinese are destroying the area with their high rise buildings making the Cambodian coastline a place for the lower income Chinese tourists to spend their holidays
Bart Verdoorn — Google review
It's my most favorite beach in Sihanoukville. It's nice and chill. Well, personally not very nice compared to before the massive construction (better than a few months ago and years before).
Otres is a long beach, a nice location close to many guesthouse and hotels around.
NIN Kongnav — Google review
I visited here on 24 - 25 Jan 2023, it has changed a lot since my last visit back in 2019.
There were no more kois, on the beach and it serves the public. You may enjoy family activities here (BBQ, Sunbathing, Swimming, Jogging or Relaxed).
You may bring your staff here if you preferred or you may rent from local vendors. Food is limited but there were a few options that you can order from local vendors at the beach.
There were a few landmarks created (#សិលាបដ្ដបណ្ដាសា #ដើមឈើស្នេហ៍ #សិលាចាំស្នេហ៍)។
I look forward to the next BBQ and relaxed by the beach trip soon.

If you want a bit quite and relaxing, a good sunset view go in a bit far side of otres.you no need to worry if you get hungry so many food stall just around the area.
Nino Eimred — Google review
Lovely quiet beach . Boat trips are available to the islands. The odd jet ski for hire. Otres 2 doesn't have many restaurants but lots of street food .
brian wensley — Google review
The beach are clean with white sand and free of charge for everyone. There are food stall and foods seller walking (but they are not selling main dish) along the beach to sell grilled squids, octopus, papaya salad, fried meat ball and so on. It would be nice if you could bring ur own picnic mat, some foods and drinks. You could enjoy seeing sunset almost everyday beside raining day.
Monyrath Sar — Google review
Otres will never be as it was , last time we were there 2015 it was nice bungalows, small bars, B&B nice and calm atmosfere. And then came the Chinese and distroyed everething, big hotels, casino😝, why, yes coruption😝, so, no more bagpacking in Sihanoukville and Otres

Independence Beach, located in Sihanoukville, is a nearly 2-kilometer-long stretch of coastline flanked by the Independence Hotel to the north and Holiday Palace Resort to the south. While high-rise construction projects have somewhat obstructed its once stunning views, this unassuming beach remains a great spot for leisurely walks and taking in scenic vistas. Visitors can also find solace at a tranquil freshwater lake towards the northwest end of the beach.
Very nice place to relax. Blue water and not much people. Powder sand 😃
In the evening very nice. Many locals come here. Eat on the beach,.music.....

Wouldn't go there again. A lot of thrash and the sea doesn't look clean either. People chilling around there might make you feel uncomfortable. It has nice sunsets tho.

We bought our food in the local food market. It was cooked directly in the market.
Then, we had our lunch on the beach where we rented a table and a few chairs.
The independance beach is perfect for lunch/diner and for swimming in the sea as well. The sand was nice, white and smooth and there were few people.
Great place for family hangout’s. But, if you want nobody near the beach, for instance if you want more privacy for couples, it’s better to go to a beach dedicated to swimming.

Tatai Waterfall

Waterfalls
Ta Tai waterfall is a semi-natural site located in Ta Tai village, Ta Tai commune, Koh Kong district, about 20 kilometers east of Koh Kong provincial town, Krong Khmerak Phoumin, along National Road 48. There are about 100 families living in this area. They earn their living by fishing and hunting.
You can come to the waterfall either by boat along Ta Tai river or by car on a track. Ta Tai is a great place with beautiful scenery of mountains and forest. Food and drinks are available at the waterfall. Price for boat riding is just reasonable. Place to chill before enter the town of Koh Kong!
Sann Chhengly — Google review
Nicest waterfall seen this trip. The falls were beautiful with enough water to enjoy. There was pools for swimming. The journey down from parking spot is sketchy no improvement to trail. Vendors at falls offering food and drink. Bring swimming suit and time to enjoy. Dirt road in to parking space. Not many tourists at this location

Nice 7 km of Tracking and see the water fall at the end of the tracking.

Definitely worth it but important to know DON’T go in the dry season between February and August, you won’t see much
Thorsten Siering — Google review
Highly recommended if you want to truly get in touch with nature.
Go as group or company field trip!
To get there easily, you need to stop at Tatai Bridge, and get their by the boats under the bridge.
Normally, for 10-15 people, the price is around 35-40$ for a round trip to and from the water fall.

SPACTACULAR!!
Taking boat tour to the waterfall. The water is showerable at some area or else it is very dangerous at rainy season.
Devit Huotkeo — Google review
What a beauty!!! After reading the reviews here about the water volume - I think we were lucky we went during the rainy season (August). Highly recommend!
Esther M — Google review
During the dry season it is not a place worth visiting. It is true that you can catch some rest while bathing in the river, but otherwise the place offers nothing. If you are riding a scooter, take into account that entry is paid and the road is not the easiest one.
Łukasz Wróblewski — Google review
I’m sure these are real impressive during rainy season but not so much in the dry season. Worth adding it’s about a 2km ride from the toll gate to the falls. Fairly tough terrain, maybe someone who isn’t so confident would struggle a little bit. 1$entrance fee
Louis Jacobs — Google review
Without a doubt the most beautiful waterfall I've seen so far in Cambodia. Absolutely a must see when staying in Koh Kong. However, the road to the waterfall can be a bit tricky on motorbike. My advice: don't drive here in the dark. Leave a little bit before the sunset (in opposition to what I did).
Super nice waterfall. You can take a kayak or SUP from the sea and paddle about 1 km up and walk to the waterfall. It is a small sign on the right side then u have to walk through some water. When u come out on the road take left and walk up the hill and u will see the entrance.

When beach is rough, this place is good to visit. Can come closer to waterfall. It's already chilly while October. Not warm deep inside forest. Swim wear will be recommendable if you wanna dive in.
??? — Google review
Just about 20 minutes riding motorbike & 10 minutes trekking. The trekking trail is easy for children & old people too, no need to climb. The water is cool & beautiful; but should visit on a sunny days & avoid rainny days since the surrounding areas are kinda quite.
Leo Nguyen — Google review
15 minute walk from the parking. The path is pretty easy and straight forward. The very last part requires a little climbing and hopping on rocks. Average health or with children should be fine.
It's a pretty cool rock surface to walk on and at the end there is a pool and the waterfall. However in the off season, Jan-feb, there is no water in the waterfall. Still worth a visit.
Jimmy Nilsson — Google review
There was a fountain in Koh Kood. Many tourists came there. It might be Summer and the water was not much. The water from the fountain was cold.

Great waterfall. It's really deep and safe to jump. The rope isn't the best idea, I saw a few guys hurt their balls 😅🥲

I fell while i was climbing up hahaha. Cold clear water and you can even walk up the path to the top of the waterfall, there are so many cool plants around there.

I was there end of October, full stream on waterfall and fresh water. The best memory of Koh KUT. Definitely will go back again...
Dada Phakjirawattanakul — Google review
Best to visit during the rainy season. During winter months the water levels are low and it's worth s visit only if you're on the island for an extended stay. It's an easy walk through the nature trail to the waterfall. Also don't stop at the location shown by Google maps, continue driving straight from this location until you see a proper designated parking lot. The entrance to the waterfall is right next to it.
nidhin pramod — Google review
Beautiful waterfall, need to walk around 10 minutes to get to the waterfall

Beautiful even in dry seasons. Big lagoon with good water temperature. Mostly clean water. Go there and enjoy peacefulness of this magical place

Always fun to take a break during the hot of the day and cool down here. A good jump is possible when the water isn't too low.
The Black Freighter Tattoo Co — Google review
Biggest waterfall on Koh Kood, great place to visit during or after the rain season, it’s one of the best attractions to spend few hours refreshing! Enjoy swimming, picnic, relaxing, taking pictures or even exploring down the river!
(Is a 10 minute walk from the parking-entry, where you’ll be ask to make a voluntarily donation to help keep the place safe and clean, any amount is ok the walk is very easy, however the rocks around the waterfall are slippery and must be very careful. during the rainy season the volume of water might be very high and unsafe to swim in some occasions)
R.Q. — Google review
The reviews worried me a bit as my mother is in her late sixties and a lot of the reviews made the path seem treacherous, and yes if it were soaked, it would be slippery but it was a very easy and doable walk to the rocky beach. Rope to swing on, people don't leave their trash. Lovely swim.
Don't expect immaculate free toilets and amenities at a public waterfall on a rustic island maybe 🤷♀️
Kristin Foss — Google review
Very beautiful waterfall however not easy to access as you need to walk through a muddy rocky walk path .Toilets were not clean and had no water !!! If your young and adventurous go and enjoy it , if your 40+ be very careful.
Mark Tonders — Google review
Amazing! We had so much fun here swimming and swinging on the rope swing. It wasn't as busy as other waterfalls we went too and it's our favourite one in Koh Kood now. It's a quick and easy walk from the parking lot.

A waterfall in the middle of Koh Kood, clear water, trees, natural surroundings. Good spot to stop by, swimming and hanging out. There’s a parking, 5-minute walk to waterfall. No shops there
Tullatut Donsunthea — Google review
steady flow of tourists but I was able to find some peace and quiet away from the busier parts when I climbed over some stones cause there was not much water because no rain season

Extremely busy, busier than you would think. Very easily accessible, by bike or by car. Bit of a long way to walk. So busy that we didn’t stop to swim even though we planned too. Lots of screaming kids. Would be amazing if you visited early in the day

We did our Padi Open Water diver course here in October and are more than satisfied. It was our first time diving, but we felt safe and in good hands right from the start. A super great team, a great atmosphere, everyone was treated individually and we had a lot of fun. Our instructor Shaun was the best, we couldn't have wished for a better instructor. We had a lot of fun with him, thank you Shaun. The time on the boat is one of our favorite memories on the island. The food was also super tasty (there was even a vegetarian option) and there was fruit and water available the whole time. We were also picked up from our hotel for every dive and brought back again. We can only recommend Koh Mak divers to everyone and would go there again at any time.

This was my first diving experience and i don't regret doing this with “koh mak divers”. Very professional and friendly. Taking the time to make you feel comfortable and safe, no stress and rush. My instructor “Steve” was amazing!
Also the vibe with the other divers/ snorkelers was great. The food and fruit during lunch was nice.
This family company is a pearl on the island and if you are in doubt.. just do it!
Its amazing!

Everything is perfect here: organisation, equipment, diving, fun, safety.
Great team with a lot of experience and passion for diving, which they are happy to share with their customers.
Excellent PADI Rescue course.
We have been diving with both dive schools on Koh Mak and Koh Mak Divers is by far our first choice!
We enjoyed doing many dive trips with them during our holidays.
Thank you very much Steve and Trent!

I had an exceptional experience with Koh Mak Divers! Steve and Shaun, my instructors, were knowledgeable and patient throughout my PADI Open Water certification. Their expertise and passion for diving made the learning process enjoyable. The school's professionalism and stunning dive sites on Koh Mak made this journey unforgettable. + Dive spots (lots of colorful fish, beautiful corals, spectacular marine life).
+ instructors (super nice, relaxed, experienced)
+ relaxed dive (no stress, at our convenience, lots of time underwater so you could see everything in peace)
+ food (delicious Thai food, fresh fruit, lots of water)
+ ocean cleaning (no pollution but cleaning)
We went diving with Koh Mak Divers for one day in November 2021. We did 2 dives á ~60min - just awesome!
We already had a bit of experience through 15 dives. However, these were more than 3 years ago. The dive instructor gave us a very good, short refresher before we started.
We were completely overwhelmed by the spectacular underwater world and the amount of colorful fish of all sizes! The instructor clearly guided us to the best dive sites. He took a lot of time to point out different animals and corals that we would not have seen on our own. And during all of this he radiated a super relaxed aura. He was also willing to give us suggestions for improving our diving technique, which we gladly accepted. His great diving experience was another big plus for us!
We can also absolutely recommend Koh Mak Divers for snorkeling trips.
The lunch was also great. We could enjoy delicious Thai food without stress and chat with the instructor in the meantime. In addition, plenty of fruits were freshly pre-cut for us.

There's a place where the sun doesn't shine but in the owners case it does. Steve and Trent are outstanding dive instructors. Super friendly and very professional.
This was my first time diving in over 16 years but the refresher saw me comfortable within a few dives.
The marine park itself has some amazing locations with Giant sting ray (if you get lucky), schools of bat fish, moray eels, rock cod and healthy corals among numerous other attractions. Warm water, light currents and generally good visibility.
I cannot recommend this outfit highly enough. Simply outstanding.

The absolute loveliest diving shop. I started doing two fun dives here, and then continued to do my rescue divers course. I would highly recommend doing your dive courses here! The instructors are very professional and also loads of fun. The vibe is so different from big diving schools in big diving destinations, it’s way more personal. They really take their time to teach you and tailor the course to your needs.
I felt super safe and comfortable and learned so much!
I’ll definitely come back here. Thanks a lot 🩷

We have just completed our Open Water certification today with Koh Mak Divers and was absolutely blown away.
From the initial communication we had with Steve when we were home in Australia, everything was so well organised and coordinated. We were picked up and dropped off at our accommodation every day, we had the absolute best dive instructor Carl, and the entire team were like family and just so fun and wonderful.
I was initially super anxious as I had not dived before, but Carl was so patient and explained everything so thoroughly and carefully. Our course was intimate and Carl trained just the two of us. They focus on all the technical skills, and ensure that they check off all the requirements, and safety is absolutely paramount.
Could not have loved our experience any more. Thank you xxx

Amazing experience as a family of mixed experienced divers. There was something for all of us. Craig was our instructor and took the more experienced of us down for a great dive and put the newbies among us at complete ease. Incredible patience, very professional and a great day out for the whole family. Have already recommended to friends. Thank you Koh Mak Divers!

Fantastic experience! We went for the snorkeling tour and it was nothing short of amazing. Everything was very professional, they provide transport to and from your hotel, food and drinks on board, and most importantly they took us to great snorkeling spots (three in total) with nice coral and coral fish and plenty of time to take in the views (45mn-1h per spot). The crew is very friendly and knowledgeable, we'll definitely come back next time we're in the area!

Ko Kham is an exclusive island that can only be accessed by boat, and requires an admission fee. The island boasts of beautiful beaches and resort ruins, making it the perfect destination for those seeking a lost paradise experience. Its white sandy beach is complemented by crystal-clear waters with varying shades of blue that change with sunlight. If you plan on visiting the Koh Chang archipelago, Ko Kham should be on your list of must-visit islands.
Best island if you want to experience yourself in middle of lost paradise. Excellent beach with white sand n clear water... varying shades of blue both in sea n sky based on sunlight... must visit island if you’re visiting the Koh chang archipelago... you will need to take boat from Koh mak (150B per person) + island fee of 200B per person but worth the visit

This place was fantastic. After visiting this location, I am surprised and baffled to see some middling reviews of this spot. The white sand beach is surrounded by crystal blue water. There is basically a sheltered lagoon on one side which is perfect for kids. When the tide drops a massive sandbar just put into the bay. Amazing. The abandoned resort makes for an interesting back drop for photos. You can buy drinks and snacks but there are no dining options so come prepared. I thought the snorkelling was also surprisingly good. There’s a small reef. We saw several wrays, puffer fish, etc. Highly recommend.

We used our kayaks to go in to the island. Beautiful beach here. Sand was clean and white, the water was so clear. Prefect for snorkeling. Nothing much to do here, but palm trees shade portions of the beach which makes it nice to lay out without getting a sunburn.

Amazing cute little private island that was supposed to be a luxury resort.
The entrance fee of 200 baht provides a drink and ensures that everything is maintained and kept clean.
The snorkeling was fantastic and the water is so clear and perfect!
Alexandra Williams — Google review
Why going there? Ko Kham is a private island that offers an amazing beach with white sand and clear waters. Snorkelling is not much better than on Ko Mak, though. Most coral are gone/ destroyes and fish stocks are overfished heavily. Sea urchins instead are around the island in countless numbers. There is an abandoned resort on the island.
How to get there? A boat leaves from a beach on Ko Mak starting operating at 9am. It is operated at any time on demand until 5pm. The skipper can be contacted at theThai Sabai restaurant on the beach. You have to call the boat by mobile phone for your return pick up to Ko Mak. The island closes at 5pm. The trip costs 350 thb per person including the island fee of 200 thb and a soft drink. You can also rent a kayak to paddle there yet it may cost you more than the boat and you still have to pay the island fee on arrival.
What to bring? Drinking water. Sun protection. Beach shoes. Snorkelling equipment. Sea urchins and jellyfish are very common in these waters. Thus you may consider wearing a rash guard or wet suit.

Near by Koh Mak, it is such an amazing small beautiful island with a wonderful view and pretty clean ocean water for swimming, snorkeling, walking in the waves, or even just taking a dip, as well as a white soft beach for children playing happily and safely. 200 Balt entrance fee includes one soft drink. However, you still need to pay for another 200 baht of round boat ticket from Cococape Resort in Koh Mak. If you are earlier or even lucky enough here, you might grab a comfortable chair close to the beach, which is also worth sitting on it to stare into sky and ocean daydreaming on the entire day. Here, you would feel like time never exists or it moves very slowly. There should have been a resort here not long ago, whose some buildings were abandoned and covered by the green grass now. Luckily, they suspended this project so that they could still well keep the nature scenes without much human damage from the crowd and visitors. I really enjoyed this moment at this small area on the three-day trip for spacing out and escaping out of my day to date routine and boring life without passions. Next time, I will take my wife and kids to visit here again. I believe they will love it too.

Very nice visit! The abandoned hotel is enchanting and the snorkeling around the pier was amazing. Visited on a Sunday around noon and were almost alone there.

Beautiful island which you can reach by buying a transfer ticket at Koh Mak resort. Return ticket is 300 baht and includes transfer, entrance fee and a free drink. The water is crystal clear. You can have a swim or walk around the abandoned resort. However, be careful of the sandflies! There is no food there, so be sure to bring some food if you want to stay the whole day. Last boat goes back at 5pm.

Absolutely beautiful island. Pretty much had it to ourselves. Definitely visit the 2 beaches are beautiful with lovely sand and water. Not much snorkelling but you will see some small ones by the big black rocks. Beware though we saw what looks like a stone fish amongst the rooms.
Tom Keyworth — Google review
Beautiful island with abandon luxury resort ruins which you can visit as long as you don't destroy something. They've put white sand on the island before declared it as a protected landscape this makes it look more unrealistic. It's perfect for a day trip. You can only reach out with a boat and you have to pay for entrance. The water is clear like glass but take care there are seats urchins around. The environment with the black lava stones is stunning though. There is a small size where you can buy drinks and chips as well, but you can also bring your own food.
As long as you stay at the front side everything is pretty and clean. Going a bit far behind the ruins, they burn trash and you will find tons of waste left behind from the construction time. It's a pity! The island is not overcrowded, maybe because of the price, but nevertheless it would be great if they would find another solution for the waste then burning and hiding it behind the buildings.

Good service. Make my travel plan easy with transportation last week I booked from BKK to Koh kood I pay 1,100 thb and then everything done you go from Khaosan road to pier (Trat) ( 05.00-10.00 am ) and you will get one lunch box can eat on the boat need around 1 hours to arrive at Koh kood and then you just tell them where you stay they will drive you to hotel .

Poor management and organization. Check-in process at the mainland port is a mess. There is no luggage offload area to transfer bags from your car. You have to park and carry your luggage all the way from the parking lot. Upon arrival, a staff tells everyone to park at the free parking lot, which apparently does not have roofs or and kind of shade for your car. The covid vaccine cert checkpoint is a joke. No signs or process provided whatsoever, and everybody just scrambled at the counter.
At the departure from koh Kood, again there is so sign that tells passengers about any process. Passengers who already hold tickets are required to stand in a lone line to check-in, the process that is not indicated anywhere at the port or told by any staff. Check-in is just essentially where staff asks you how many you are traveling with. After check-in, all passengers have to wait at a very small port with no queuing whatsoever. We had to wait for the boat for a long time. And when the boat arrived everybody had to wait for the arrival to offload first, then everyone had to fight to get on to the boat first because there are insufficient seats for all the passengers. All in all, a very very poor experience. I really hope they improve in the future since they are a big company here.

This is the ferry terminal heading to Koh Kut.
When you arrive here, after about 5 hours on a bus from Bangkok, it looks like an oasis.
If you make a reservation through Boonsiri, you can receive meal service here.
It wasn't there until about two years ago, but I guess the service has improved because there are fewer customers due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The toilets are also old, but they have proper toilet paper, which is rare in Thailand.
There is a shuttle service from where the bus arrives to the pier, but even if you're in a different car than the one carrying your luggage, it's okay as it will either be loaded onto the ferry or kept all together.
However, you should check your luggage properly...
Depending on the hotel you are staying at on Koh Kut, the hotel may also provide a pick-up service.
In this case, you will receive a phone call from the hotel immediately after the bus arrives.
Some people come here directly by car and only book the ferry.
The ferry takes about an hour, but it's comfortable as there are air-conditioned rooms.
When you arrive at Koh Kut, there will be a songthaew to pick you up from your hotel, and on your way back you will also be taken to the pier by songthaew.

When you buy transfers from such a large company from Pattaya to Koh Kood and back, you expect the appropriate service. But what a shame, you get spit in the face. After 9 hours of traveling with two children who are not even two years old, they drop you off at their station and tell you that no one will take you further, call a taxi and go. And no one cares that the tickets say where they picked you up and where they have to let you go. People bypass this company.

Big catamaran and seems like the quickest way to get to Koh Kood.
At 600 baht per person, it took just an hour to get from koh kood to Lam Sok. The catamaran is big and the motion was not too choppy.
It leaves from Koh Kood at 9 am and 12 pm.

This office is pretty basic but they do give you food and there is some outdoor seating, and basic toilets (bring your own hand santiser) whilst waiting to transfer. We have an issue with their reckless and dangerous driving- speeding risking lives of passengers. We hope Boonsiri take note of this to prevent accidents in the future.

Everything was fine but punctuality and communication could be better. We took Boonsiri from Koh Chang to Bangkok.
- We were supposed to be picked up from our hotel at 8:45. The car arrived at 9:20 jampacked with other travelers and bags. We were 9 people + bags in a single open back taxi car, felt like sardines. At 9:00 we called to ask where the car was but after initially answering no one called us back with any info.
- It took us to the Koh Chang ferry, which arrived at 10:30. On the mainland, no one was waiting for us or had any kind of sign. We had to go around asking everyone about Boonsiri. My wife is Thai so it’s not a language issue.
We finally found the place and the bus was scheduled to pick us up at 11:30, so we had to wait around for an hour, no place around to even sit down.
- The bus came and it was fine, big bus, AC, arrived as expected.

Bang Bao fishing village is a charming destination that earns a solid 4 out of 5 stars from me. The beautiful pier is definitely worth a visit, offering a variety of stands where you can indulge in local food and drinks. It’s also a great spot for those who enjoy a bit of shopping, with something to find for everyone. The village itself is quite intriguing and worth exploring.
Getting there is an adventure in itself, ideally by scooter, through quaint, old villages. The journey takes you along narrow, winding roads through a national park, where you often encounter monkeys. It’s a scenic and enjoyable ride that adds to the whole experience of visiting Bang Bao.

Nice pier with people still living on the houses connected to it. The restaurant on it are on the other hand quite tourist centred and expensive. We found a nice restaurant right opposite the start of the pier (looks like a parking lot) and ate for half the price of what the other restaurants were offering!
It also gets VERY hot on the pier. Its good to go in the morning or the afternoon when they are selling lots of affordable snacks like fruit, seafood on a astick, Thai pancakes and more.

I love this place, it has so much character. The ramshackled somewhat random collection of wooden stilted building sprouting either side of the central walkway is a large part of it's charm. Some of these buildings are in disrepair and others look as they they might disintegrate into the sea, but it all seems to hang together with a variety of shops and eating places. There is even accommodation to rent on the Pier.
But there are two parts to this Pier, the second part is open, and a mooring area for boats doing dive/snorkeling trips, sightseeing and fishing boats. Great views out to sea and the shoreline from the smal lighthouse at the end of the Pier. This place is a tourist attraction in it's on right.

Very Scenic. The pier itself is beautiful with a restored lighthouse and dozens of colorful boats, both fishing and tourist.
A lot of tourists stalls to shop through on the way to the pier if you still need to pick up gifts.

Good place to visit, but don't make it a priority if you're staying on the island for a very short term (beaches are where you want to go). The point of view at the end of the pier is very nice tho, and you will find some seafood restaurant and souvenir shops all the way to the end of the pier.

A nice place to take a walk for 30mins out to the lighthouse at the end of the pier. You have to park your motorcycle before the 7-11 and pay 20baht OR….. you could go down the road a little (20 metres) buy an iced coffee or drink from a vendor for 30baht, and avoid the 20 baht parking fee. That is what i did. There are a lot of shops on the pier selling everything at expensive prices but they don’t hassle you to buy. Which is nice. Great iced coffee from the lady on the side of the road about 20m back from the seven eleven. And she also speaks english too!!

Needs a lot of work as many parts are run down. Watch your step as many dangers if not careful. A few new shops have been built but no tenants. Not many tourists so many places shops and restaurants are closed. Been here many times before but hasn't changed much in 3 years. Parking is a rip off, my car cost me 60 baht short term & 200 baht a day if longer. 3 years ago short term was 40 baht. 50% increase. Will only go again if tour booked and use free songthaew.

Quaint in some respects but a tourist trap too. Some interesting photo ops from off the main drag which sells all the usual tourist stuff.

I assume that it has been a fishermen village, a longtime ago.

Stepping onto Bang Bao Pier feels like you've unlocked a gateway to Koh Chang, Thailand's third-largest island. The atmosphere is reminiscent of an idyllic fishing village where the horizon, sea, and land meld together in a serene dance.
When you get off, you'll smell the sea and hear birds. You'll also see many fishing boats on the sea. This place is not just for catching boats. It shows what Koh Chang is all about.
The pier is on the west coast of the island. From here, you can easily get to places like Lonely Beach and Kai Bae. White sand beaches are close by, showing how beautiful Koh Chang is.
Seafood restaurants abound, each dishing out sumptuous oceanic delicacies. Nearby, souvenir shops display a myriad of artifacts and crafts, waiting for visitors to find the perfect memento of their travels.
Bang Bao Pier's location offers a good connection to places such as Laem Ngop and Salak Phet. This busy pier has many wooden stilts in the calm sea. It's a main spot for ferries, fishing boats, and shared rides, making it perfect for different day trips.
Walking on the pier feels like being in an old fishing village. You can see fishermen working and boats nearby. There are places to eat seafood and shops to buy souvenirs to remember Koh Chang.
From every corner, panoramic views on the Gulf of Thailand present a dream canvas for photographers. The clear demarcation where the azure waters kiss the sky is simply mesmerizing. For those eager to venture further, ferries are ready to whisk you away to Laem Ngop, revealing another facet of coastal Thai life.
Sornpiseth Khut — Google review
If you are staying in the area, the pier offers a good selection of restaurants, places to stay, and shops selling bits and bobs. It’s an interesting place to spend some time, with it being a stilted village perched above the water giving it a unique vibe

Wir waren bei strömenden Regen hier, daher wohlmeinende 4 Sterne. Eine Ansammlung von Souvenir Läden auf einem langen Pier auf Stelzen gebaut. Ist halt alles für Touristen. There is a float market at the pier.
At 9am and 4:30pm, the pier will be very busy, since the tourists taking the boat trip will come and return to the pier, at other time, the pier will be relatively quiet, especially at dusk. There is a tower at the end of the pier. The view at the pier is not bad.

Khlong Phlu waterfall is a serene tourist attraction situated amidst lush greenery. This tranquil waterfall features a sizeable swimming hole, which offers visitors the perfect opportunity to cool off in the refreshing water. To reach this natural wonder, tourists can take an easy 600 meter walk along a scenic path from the entrance. Visitors are required to pay an entry fee of 40 baht per person (for Thai).
Khlong Phlu Waterfall in Koh Chang is a splendid natural attraction worth visiting. Despite the 200 Baht entrance fee, the experience is quite rewarding. The waterfall itself is a picturesque scene, providing a tranquil and refreshing environment ideal for relaxation and photography.
Visitors should be prepared for a bit of a trek to reach the waterfall, as the path can be rugged. It's advisable to wear secure and comfortable shoes to navigate the uneven terrain safely. Overall, for those looking to immerse themselves in nature's beauty, Khlong Phlu Waterfall is a worthwhile destination.

Perhaps because I've seen much better waterfalls this didn't really do it for me. It's not bad, but had I known what it was like, I probably wouldn't spend 200 Baht (40 Baht for Thai) to visit. It lies at the end of a 500 meter trail through the forest with a small viewpoint of the river en route. It's popular with people wanting to swim in the pond at the bottom of the waterfall. Parking motorcycles at the entrance to the Park is another 20 Baht.

A pretty little park to visit... but make sure you visit during the right season. In April, we're far enough out of the wet season that there was barely a trickle over the rocks. We played with the fish and took some nice pics but saw little of the waterfall.
Ken S — Google review
Great way to spend a few hours. The waterfall is around 500m from the ticket office. We visited today and although it's the dry season, it rained briefly this morning, which made the path to the waterfall a little treacherous. It's over rocks and roots so is a little rough in just flip flops. We made it safely, but it's better to wear proper shoes if you have them.
The waterfall itself is lovely. The water is very clear and fresh. There's a pool at the bottom of the waterfall which is deep, and there are lifejackets available. The pool extends around 100m or so to some rocks, and by the time it reaches the rocks it's very shallow. So you have the option of just wading and getting your feet wet, or going for a proper swim.
The water is full of some very curious fish, who like to nibble at your feet. It's a nice, relaxing half-day trip.
Prices:
Parking (motorbike) - 10 Baht
Parking (car) - 20 Baht
Entry fee (Thai national) - 40 Baht
Entry fee (foreigner) - 200 Baht

A nice waterfall and swimming area. Access is over rocks, tree roots and it quite uneven so not suitable if you dont like small trails through the rainforest. Water is crystal clear with fish. The only toilets are at the entry so get changed into swimmers before u walk up. Takes about 25mins to walk all the way to the waterfall. Take water with u as there are no vendors selling anything nearby.

Entry Ticket 200 baht/person for foreign (40 baht/Thai people). We come here on July 2023 & the waterfall is falling heavily. From the entrance you may go trekking for about 30 minutes, and beware of slippery trails. It is a easy trekking trip for kids too. There are 5 stations but actually the concept of each station is not clear. Water is clear & there
are many fish, but it's also a little bit dangerous to climb & swim in deep water. Worth a try for a half-day activity on the island.

What a beautiful waterfall full of curious fish that will be following you in the water! This place is spectacular! We spent hours there and absolutely love it. ฿40 to park a car and ฿200 for non-Thai. Pleasant staff and the trail is in really good condition. The whole trail is shaded and only opens up at the waterfall itself. Not too busy but not empty around 13:00 and the fall is still worth seeing in the Dry Season. 40 minutes from car park to fall if you stop at viewpoints and take photos, 20 minutes if you don’t stop. Advisable to wear shoes as although the trail is fairly easy, there are parts that are momentarily steep or require proper footholds.

Waterfall with a pool to swim in. It was fairly easy to walk through the natural path, around 600m from the entrance to reach the waterfall. Entry fee 40 baht per person (for Thai).

Swimming at the waterfall viewing spot (at the end of the trail) is not allowed but we could swim at the big clear pool or shallow waterfalls along the way there. Lots of Pluang fish in the area, some of small ones come to do fish spa for free! Dipping into cold fresh water is a great relaxing and fun acivity esp for kids. Quite a safe place for kids who are able to swim.
Also, parking lots at the entrance are available and convenient for cars and motorcycles. No need to park outside the National Park area (and pay more).

I write many reviews and I really am stuck on what to write here ! I want to be positive but it’s not made easy by the experience if I’m honest. I live in Thailand and I am not a tourist - dual pricing is still common in Thailand and they show no shame at all - it’s like they don’t want tourists to visit these places !!
So I have pale skin so I paid 200baht and my wife paid 40baht even though I hold a Thai ID and spend all my income in Thailand.
If I question this I am told it helps maintain the park or waterfall or golf course or whatever you are over charged for. Well maintenance is certainly not funded by my entrance fee or anybody else’s - the hand rails are either broken or missing so no spending there !
Another over staffed place - 1 very bored man to sell you a ticket without eye contact or a smile - a second man 5 meters away to check your ticket !!
We wandered up the 600meters of very unstable and rocky path and even managed not to break an ankle or 2, using the poorly fitted ropes in ad hoc locations we reached the waterfall -
Niagara it is not, so don’t get too excited
I am glad I did this trip but really unlikely to return.
Sorry this has been so negative but it’s hard to praise such an experience.

Khlong Phlu Waterfalls is one of the treasures of Koh Chang and is a must visit for all travelers. I've been here a number of times with family and friends. The path is a mountainous 600 meter trek so watch out for small kids and elders. The final swimming pool at the waterfall has the fish that eat the skin off your feet like the fish spas but by Mother Nature. You can also jump off both sides of the rock formation, an 7 foot drop into the water.

Koh Chang is not just about beaches. If you are bored with beaches and want to take bath in fresh water, then there are 5 to 6 waterfalls in Koh Chang. Among them Khlong Phlu waterfalls is the best. I recently visited the waterfall in Koh Chang near White Sand Beach and had a wonderful time.
The trekking and trail walk to the waterfall offered stunning views of the surrounding nature.
Although the entrance fee for non-Thai people was 200 baht, which I found a bit pricey, the clear water lake with many visible fishes made it worthwhile.

Water fall is about 900m from the gate. It is applied entrance fee. The walking pass to the wall is made by people walked and step on stone and route of tree too. And up and down. We saw an older person came with son but it is tough to walk.
At the end we can see this wall. Water is cooler and many dishes there. Once you step in and stand still, you feel something biting your foot. Fish like doctor fishes are biting foot.
Worth to come and enjoy cooler water.

It offers a family-friendly atmosphere with various options for food and accommodation, including cozy bars and middle-class resorts. The beach features a lagoon that divides it into two parts that are easily accessible on foot. However, arriving by car may be challenging as there is limited parking near the sandy beach.
It is a beautiful sandy beach on which you can walk, run and take nice pictures. I enjoyed running on this beach in the morning. During sunsets the beach becomes more beautiful with a low tide.

Nice narrow beach of white sand and clear water (photos taken in December) - wild vibes with few restaurant/bar directly on the sand

Small and narrow but fairly empty, so you (almost) have the beach to yourself. Water is cloudy though, so no snorkeling. Mostly good for getting your tan on and some sunset dips.

It's a lovely beach with lots of nightlife and restaurants. A bit slow because there is a distinct low season from May due to the wet season. This is a good time to go if you don't want crowds. We stayed in a hotel right on the beach.

Stunning quiet long stretch of natural beach. Depending what time of day, the tide can take up a lot of beach sand space. Lots of shade on the north part of the beach. Many beachside massage spots and restaurants to choose from.

The beach area near the the mouth of the river is beautiful and clear on the first day we visited. We had a wonderful swim as it was deep enough , and we could see under the water for any stones. It was mostly sandy, few stones in the water. The beach in the late afternoon was not too busy. It felts pretty chilled. Not any shaded areas to sit unless you sit at one of the resort restaurants, which is fine. We accessed this with a kayak supplied by our hotel from the river which took less than 10 minutes , and we are novice rowers. We think it’s possible to access the beach from the other side without having to row there. The only down side is that near the middle of the beach there is a waste water system where this water looks like it flows into the sea. Therefore although it seemed clean when we were there, we are not certain if it really was , and how much longer this beautiful sea can remain clear with the waste systems. We hope that it won’t be spoiled. The second time visited later in the week. Water not as clear, we we went further north up the beach. It was still soft sand and warm waters, and swimming was possible. It’s just more apparent that there is waste water being pumped into the sea which isn’t nice.

The most beautiful beach on the island ever, the long beach with the perfect sand. Various restaurant and few coffee shop along the beach, also the peacefully space for you to relax, listing to the tidal wave and stay with yourself. Namtok Phlio National Park spans over an area of 52 square miles and boasts lush rainforests, streams, waterfalls, and diverse wildlife. Visitors can easily access a striking waterfall through well-constructed steps for a small admission fee while being assisted by friendly staff at clean restrooms. However, the trails on the opposite side of the waterfall are challenging to navigate due to moss-covered rocks which makes it dangerous without proper preparation.
Easy access waterfall. Not far from Main road.
Natural atmosphere. Clean and able to enjoy the water.
Separate zone for picnic and waterfall.

It’s so s impressive and beautiful surrounding. I’m so happy walking around the greenery and hearing all water/ nature sound. Nature waking route is around 45 mins along the side of waterfall. More interesting that there is a love monument symbolizing from King Rama V to his queen. The cost of national park is 200฿ for foreigners and 40฿ for local Thais. Highly recommended to visit if you travel to Chantaburi.
Miki T. — Google review
Majestic waterfall you can appreciate pretty close up, with easy access via neatly constructed steps. Cheap admission fee, friendly and helpful park staff. Clean restrooms.
On the other hand, the walking trails on the other side of the waterfall entrance are quite difficult, and can be dangerous if you are not prepared for it. Most of the time, you are walking on rocks covered with mosses, climbing upwards. Since what goes up must come down, downward trail is even more difficult. Anti-slippery shoes are a must if you feel up to it physically. Keep a bottle of water with you, as you will sweat a lot during trekking due to humid weather.

As bad as the pandemic maybe, visiting a national park is now fantastic. I was the only foreigner and I saw not more than 10 people. Having said that; the visit this time was the best ever! I came here many times before, but mostly the park was overcrowded and the Waterfall had little water.
NOT THIS TIME! AS IT HAD RAINED A LOT THE WATERFALL WAS SUPER!

This place closes at 16:30. For a quick tour 1 hour should be enough, but there's a longer route, takes more time about 2 hours, maybe worth a try, but I didn't go that way due to lack of time.

Best national park I have been to in Thailand. Really well laid out, looked after and landscaped. We even took the 1.2km climb up and down nature trail. Brilliant. Tough at times and this well worth it. Lots of wildlife, signs on trees to tell you what type they are. Lovely coffee shops and ice cream type places. Loads of eateries as you walk up to the entrance also. Price 200 baht for foreigner and 40 for Thai. 60 baht each for iced coffee and tea. I took hundreds of pictures and videos. Went back the next day also.

Well kept National Park in Chantaburi province Thailand. This national park KS popular among local and visitors. Especially during weekends and public holidays, many visitors come to this national park to enjoy the beautiful waterfall. The water at this waterfall is very cool in temperature, clean, lash with greenery and fish! The local come here in big family for the picnic and afternoon dip. Despite being national park, there is a small entry fee (free for seniors). The park is well kept with clean toilet and shower. It's a bit of a walk from parking to the main entrance, but there is a golf car providing pickup and drop off service at small fee.

Great quick place to visit from city center, recommend to visit non public holidays or weekdays. There is 200 meters parking near entrance. Fees for foreigners is around 3-6$ while Thais are only 20baht. There is a golf cart near the entrance to take you up around 300 meters distance. The Cathedral of Immaculate Conception in Chanthaburi province is a gothic-style Catholic church founded in 1909. It is a popular tourist attraction and serves as the symbol of the city due to its two towers and statue of Virgin Mary near the main entrance. While visitors cannot currently enter, they can admire the elegant stained glass windows from outside. The nearby old town Chantabun community across the river is also worth exploring.
Nice to see a great cathedral for Catholic believers, there are actually a lot of catholic churches in the area but this cathedral is not to be missed. beautiful architecture and clean , too.
There are shops surrounding the cathedral, cheap souvenirs and a few steps away from the historical river, with vintage shops in it.
The cathedral is only open during scheduled mass so make sure to check their schedule before visiting.
Nostalgic and surreal for me. Visit it soon!

One of the most tourist attraction and UNSEEN in Chantaburi province.
With its two towers of classic Gothic style, it became the symbol of the city where a statue of the Virgin Mary stands a few meters in front of the main entrance of the building. Today they close for visiting inside the classy and shady stained glasses dispict various saints, but you can walk around outside. Across the river is an old town Chantabun community. If you plan to travel in Chantaburi, don't miss it.

Visited the church, but my mum was denied entry for wearing shorts.
Just as the woman/bouncer was explaining this to us, another woman walked out wearing the exact same length shorts as my mum.
I pointed this out to her, and she just shrugged her shoulders and said we couldn't come in.
Very strange behaviour considering churches are supposed to be welcoming to all people.

This Cathedral has been here for more than 300 years! Making it one of the oldest and biggest in Thailand. The highlight of the Church is the 200,000 gem stone decorated holy Mary. When entry, the security guard will make sure that you are dress appropriately. For example, women must wear dress or pants that is longer than the knees, no hats and flippers is ok. Outside the church you can cross the bridge to enjoy the local streets market

During the Holy Week, I visited this cathedral and was struck by its beauty, as well as the warmth of the people there. Even though I'm not a Christian, I could appreciate the holy atmosphere of the place. The interior design is impressive and exudes a sense of reverence.
One of the most memorable moments was when the people there generously gave out free eggs, which was a touching gesture. I was also impressed by the welcoming nature of the church people who made me feel included despite not being part of their faith. Overall, it was a wonderful experience that left a lasting impression on me.

This cathedral was claimed to be the most beautiful in Thailand and we are quite agree. The day we visit has not much visitors despite the long holidays. They are now managed that visitors has to queue in the small group and they show short video showing the history of the place , after that , visitors can walk around and they requested that visitors should not take improper selfie.

I would like to name this temple as Cathedral of Chanthaburi, but it is probable or not, I am not sure. I cannot say that it is Baroque or Gothic. The only that I can is"It is very impressed."
The temple is one of the remarkable place that you should visit. It is almost situated in the center of Tha mai district of Chanthaburi.
The Cathedral was constructed about hundred yeras ago together with a number of times of repairing.
The identities of design, material chosing, colouring and surrounding atmosphere are emphasized to the warmth and loving kind to all humanity of the holy lord, Jesus.
After passing through some what like residential area of the surrounding local people, you will get through a wide yard infront of the soft-grey temple whose three top tips carrying three christain Cross on its heights.
Further more, interior decoration is full of a plenty of selected coloured mosaic glasses on its windows and walls.
Outside the temple area, it connects to folkway style of local people market. You may find morning or evening food market and good dessert there.
Please try.

Calm natural area devoted to mangrove conservation with nature trails, shady paths & pavilions.
We really enjoyed our time there. 2 hours of strolling along the board walk and kayaking were just so relaxing. Many tiny little things to stop and observe. The pattern of through sunlight, the forest and the sea were amazing. We strongly recommend everyone to pay the visit to this forest. You can easily park along the road.

Very nice mangrove forest walk, some educational signboards too.
Probably one of the nicer mangrove boardwalks that I’ve been on. Firstly there are many different kinds of mangroves, then the boardwalk is in very good condition, and I like how it’s been built around some of the mangroves, even surrounding some of the larger trunks.
Then almost the entire walkway is shaded by the foliage above, and there are several educational signboards in Thai and English explaining how this area has carefully been reforested, and the importance of mangroves on the costal ecosystem.
Note, parking is a bit weird. Best is to park along the main street next to the entrance. There are a few parking spots behind the street vendors by the entrance, but I think you are not supposed to park there.
Don’t drive into the small street on the right side, although it’s paved, it will not lead to a parking spot.

Sai Kaew Beach, situated near an upscale resort, boasts of crystal clear waters and a tranquil atmosphere devoid of the noise from large crowds. Speedboats are a common sight as they cruise along the white-sand beach. The surrounding restaurants and beaches are located just a few kilometers away, making it convenient for visitors to explore different areas. First beach you sea when arriving on the island. Only 11 minutes walk to the Pier. You can set on sunbathing chairs, but shading umbrellas does not protect you from UV rays. So better bring sunscreen even sitting under shade. While walking the beach, Smell of chicken barbecue, Koh Samet Island amblem over the end of the beach. If trying seafood restaurants would be better option. I find menu prices on sitting chairs is high. One grilled fish cost 550 for example, where you can get it 300-350 back in the mainland.

The performers skillfully manipulate fire poi, fire staffs, and other flaming props, creating a breathtaking display of swirling flames and dazzling patterns. Their agile movements, combined with the hypnotic music, create an atmosphere of excitement and wonder.
The beach setting adds to the magic of the performance, with the sound of crashing waves and the warm breeze carrying the scent of the ocean. Visitors can gather around the fire pit or find a comfortable spot on the sand to witness this awe-inspiring show.
The fire dance performance on Koh Samet Island is not only a visual spectacle but also a cultural experience. It is deeply rooted in Thai traditions and folklore, with dancers often portraying mythical characters or telling stories through their graceful movements.
Whether you are a beach lover, a culture enthusiast, or simply seeking a unique and memorable experience, the fire dance performance on Koh Samet Island is a must-see. It will leave you in awe of the performers' skill and the sheer beauty of the dance illuminated by the flickering flames, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Beautiful island with clean ocean to swim in. Nice and close to get to from Bangkok. Highly recommend coming here if you have some time to kill in Bangkok.

'Ko Samet' is a typical Thai tourist island, offering beaches, bars, restaurants and a variety of tourist trips. It is a very small island, just 7 km in length and about 13 sq km in size, It is about a 7 km ferry ride from the mainland.
I just visted it in April 2024 and it was quite crowded with tourists - but not too much. Perfect place for having a short holiday. Like many destinations, it's slowly being ruined by tourism. There is rubbish in many places, especially around the main areas and particularly the port area. Aside from that there are some beautiful beaches to visit and enjoy. Fire shows are very popular at many of the beaches.
Food is often middle of the road, tourist fare - but I would heartily recommend finding THE REEF, where I had delicious meals on two occasions and the place was very clean and welcoming with a great menu of delicious offerings.
The one area on the island that I considered unique and made the island well worth visiting was 'Laem Toei' - promontory in the extreme south from which you can view either the sunrise or sunset, depending on the time of course. It is an interesting area, very rocky area, not unlike 'Land's End' in England, but much smaller. Artists and tourists have covered much of this rocky area with cairns which are very attractive. A high quality wooden walkway links parts of the promontory making it much easier to navigate. 'Rock Island' can be seen a short distance away. Don't miss it, if you visit Ko Samet!

Very beautiful island with beautiful places and beaches that invite you to swim.
The restaurants are not crowded and the food is designed to suit the tourists' palate. (not too spicy) Partly too mild for my taste.
There is 7eleven and Amazon Café.
Actually everything your heart desires.

The island has some nice secluded small beaches and some bigger busier beaches.
The charm is it's undevelopedness but also that is it's sanger as in narrow bad roads, dangerous traffic (taxis)songtaew)
Also so much garbage litter .
Not my favourite island in Thailand though.

Prao Beach, situated on the beautiful island of Koh Samet in Thailand, is a stunning destination for travelers seeking picturesque palm-fringed white sandy beaches with clear waters teeming with fish and an array of resorts to choose from. This beach offers a serene environment with calm still water that is perfect for kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding. Visitors can rent kayaks from nearby hotels at affordable prices.
One of Thailand’s hidden gem 💎 IMO so beautiful! The scenery, water, sand, weather was more than perfect! It’s a must visit. Just a couple hours from bangkok. I will for sure be returning!

Very nice private beach with some expensive resorts back of it. Very clean with good water for swimming but looks like you can only make use of it if you stay at one of the resorts. You can park at the entrance and walk in. There is a private jetty too. Sand is clean and water looks safe.

Anek Kusala Sala, also known as Viharn Sien, is a stunning ancient Chinese temple complex in Pattaya that has been transformed into a captivating museum. Originally built to strengthen the bond between the Chinese and Thais, it now showcases an exquisite fusion of both cultures. Visitors can admire brass and bronze sculptures depicting everyday people from ancient times.

Bang Saen Ville is situated in Tambon Saen Suk, Mueang Chonburi District, eastern Thailand, and is approximately 108 km away from Bangkok. This well-known beach destination holds a significant reputation due to its proximity to Bangkok and Pattaya, which is globally recognized as an attractive tourist spot. Being a favored choice among tourists, Bang Saen Ville offers visitors easy access to both the bustling city of Bangkok and the beaches of Pattaya.
Ko Sichang is a picturesque island that can be easily reached by ferry from Bangkok. It offers various hiking trails, beaches for relaxation and scooter rentals to explore the island. You can hire a bike to travel conveniently from top to bottom and relish local seafood in numerous restaurants. Although it has limited beaches, the stunning sunsets compensate for it. This place is ideal for running enthusiasts as the roads are good with some great hills.
Koh Si Chang, Thailand – Travel Guide
Not to be confused with the much larger and more popular island of ‘Koh Chang’ in Trat province, Koh Si Chang is a magical little island close to Bangkok that exists mostly unknown to international travellers!
This piece of paradise in the Gulf of Thailand only has one beach, which is quite small, and the mountainous terrain makes this an interesting island to explore.
Unlike nearby islands, Koh Si Chang is not a party destination and doesn’t even have any bars in town! With little tourist infrastructure to attract people, the island stays relatively quiet, especially on weekdays. However, despite the laid-back atmosphere, there is plenty to do to keep visitors busy.
Koh Si Chang is primarily a fishing island, and the town is filled with people who make their living from the sea.
Due to the fact that, for the time being, so few foreign travellers visit the island, the majority of residents don’t work in the tourism industry, although this is rapidly changing.
However, at the moment, instead of trying to sell you a cheap souvenir or a snack, locals typically just go about their day and don’t bother travellers. However, don’t think that people here are rude! When you stop to talk to people, you’ll receive nothing but smiles and gracious hospitality. This is the way Thailand is meant to be!
The ferry pulls up to a pier in the heart of town, which is also where are the restaurants and the majority of the attractions are. However, you can rent a motorbike right on the pier which will allow you to head straight to your accommodation if you’re travelling light. Many resorts also offer pick-up from the pier.

A small island off Sri Racha. Getting there is via the public jetty near Sri Racha Park and only cost 50b. This place is a gem
There are little to no foreign tourist and usually consist of locals only. It has a beautiful Palace and one really nice beach. Its not going to be a ko Samui or a ko Chang but its special on its own way. Also, if you can don't miss the native white squirrel here which is found on the southern part of the island. They look beautiful but are very shy.

A beautiful island that is extremely easy and relatively quick to visit from Bangkok. Hire a bike and explore the island from top to bottom very easily. Lots of local seafood restaurants to enjoy. Limited on beaches but the outstanding sunsets make up for it. A great island for running enthusiasts - good roads and some great hills. Stay at one of the local wooden hut b&b’s for a slightly more off grid experience. It’s not for those who are looking to fill their days with activities but more suited to those looking for a complete reset.

Beautiful island peaceful and quiet compare with the tourist crowded Pattaya. But overall the boat service to the island was a nightmare. The fishing boat modified my family and me boarded was lack of safety even thought it has the life jacket equipped. The boat’s boarding walk way was too narrow. An accident happened during my trip back as one local fell to the sea. Just be prepared and caution when travel with elder and children.

What I liked about the small, cozy island of Ko Si Chang: # No cars allowed! Only scooters and stylish tuktuks. # Very little number of tourists, so no noisy night life. # Diversified hilly terrain with super satisfying narrow winding roads for scooter riding (rent your own Zoomer for 300 bht/24h). # Some quiet resorts and natural nooks where you can hide from the world and avoid crowds - good for writers or thinkers perhaps. # Dry microclimate: you feel like in Greece for a change, not a greenhouse. # Wonderful vistas from a promenade to the west and other high points. # Some choice of vegan food in certain restos. # Low prices. # So close to Bkk, 4 hrs by bus and ferry in total. # Smiling friendly locals.
Be aware of sea urchins (bring plastic shoes) and jellyfish in the ocean. Be prepared that life slows down rapidly right after disembarking and you might need some time to get in sync.

What I love about this island, it is really accessible from Bangkok and worth the visit with all it’s beauty and wonderful locals. You can eat amazing seafood dishes and ride a rental scooter around the island. You’ll see some wild bore with its young roaming around and the temples and views are gorgeous. Given the island is relatively small, it’s perfect for a weekend getaway i.e. to escape the busy city life with many beautiful options of places to stay to choose from.
Khao Sam Muk is a well-known mountain peak that provides magnificent panoramic views of the bay and is considered a local emblem of protection. This massive dike may be one of the largest in the world, but it is not very clean due to its abundance of monkeys. You can climb to the summit using stairs, where you will be rewarded with stunning views of the ocean. If you continue up the road, Monkey Hill awaits where you can overlook the city.

Nice place to kill some time and spend the last Baht. There's a small food "mall" outside which is quite simple but connected to this there are lots of Western restaurants and cafés, a small "mall" with clothing-, tech- and pharmacy-stores and billions of ATMs. There are also two(?) larger supermarkets with a great variety of worldwide food and in the evening the outside part turns into a lively streetfood market - and it's clean!!! Ate for 85 Baht all in all and it was the cheapest and best Thai food I had during my whole holidays.

Kind of reminds me of an open air shopping mall, we were staying in one of the many airport hotels waiting for a flight out the following morning and visited here in the evening after visiting the Robinson mall up the road. Food park was closed as were many shops, but there seemed to be many market stalls selling all kinds of food and stuff, found the selection to be much better than the food park in Robinsons. This shopping mall is so beautiful. With the waterfalls outside in the front, and the huge spacious premium feel throughout inside.
There is a huge food court area in the basement. The food court area is less spacious than other levels, and really packed and busy. I imagine that's because there is so much fantastic food on offer! Such a huge variety of food. When I say "food court", that might not be the right description, since it's more upmarket than what "food court" might conjure up in one's mind. There are tons of high quality restaurants around, with tastes from all around the world, and also a huge variety of tastes from thailand. At one end there is a more classic "food court" area. There's also a fairly up-market supermarket too.

Very big shopping Mal with regular events and a sea life, food floor, luxury shopping, co-working spaces and many many more. One of the biggest malls I've ever seen. The food and shopping options vary in selection. One thing that I didn't like about this place that it is easy to loose track of time and it's hard to find an actual exit, since it also has a nice inner open area with some waterfalls, but since malls are designed exactly for that it's the perfect place for luxurious shopaholics!
I was there during the gourmet weeks where multiple Michelin awarded restaurants and stalls sold food and it was a delightful and affordable experience!

A luxury mall with almost everything inside including luxury cars inside the stores on the upper levels.
Some of the upper levels of the mall where the clothes and other stores were located seemed a bit empty and dismal. What Siam Paragon did very well is on the lower levels, where the restaurants, gourmet eats, the grocery are located. This is the area to be excited about.
They have almost everything you can think of and more (IconSiam is still better but Siam Paragon is a close second). We didn’t have a lot of time to go through the lower levels unfortunately but what I saw made me want to return when I’m back in Bangkok.

The supermarket also features a good selection of Made-in-Thailand items that can be purchased as souvenirs. While some prices may be slightly higher than other supermarkets, the quality and shopping experience make it worthwhile.
An easy place to shop. Large department store tops supermarket, lots to keep you busy, during this visit one thing I noticed everything’s price is up double from last year. This is so disappointing. It’s was one my favourite super shop in bangkok

Tops Supermarket is conveniently located at the MBK center. It is hidden amongst the pop-up stalls and situated at a corner of the shopping center. This big supermarket carries lots of groceries and household items. Bought yogurt drinks but one of them had turned sour. The packaging looks decent but do take care when consuming food/drinks.

Convenient as we live close. Not the greatest selection of fresh fruit and vegetables.

Tops Market located at G floor of MBK.
All homeneed items are available. Good quality and reasonable prices. Chocolate, Fresh Fruits, Dried fruits, Biscuits & Confectionery, Vegetable, beauty items etc.

MBK Shopping Mall is one of the most popular malls in Bangkok. Downstairs there is a large and good supermarket. Fresh fruits are sold here, I think this market is good and complete.
Shahrzad sh — Google review
A middle-of-the-road grocery for MBK’s rugged, budget tourist crowd. Heavy emphasis here on snack foods to take home to hungry family members. Not a place you can expect to fill your pantry. Service is tempered to cope with its transient clientele.

A well-stocked and well-organized supermarket at a corner of the basement of MBK mall. You can find what you need, from fresh fruits, snacks, to wine, toiletries and ready-to-eat food like salads, desserts, and bread. They also stock a good selection of Made-in-Thailand items which you can purchase as souvenirs. Prices of some products are slightly higher than Big C but you pay for quality and the shopping experience I guess, as the aisles are wide and the staff are quite helpful. The supermarket seems quite clean and well-maintained too.

Good supermarket. Although not as big as big c, it is decent enough. Have fruit section, cereals, teas and others. Made in Thai and imported including those with halal logo. Located at the basement of MBK . So after buy some stuff, complete your shopping with some snacks or other products.

The Jim Thompson House Museum, located on the Saen Saeb Canal in Bangkok, is a must-visit attraction. Once the home of American entrepreneur and architect Jim Thompson, it now showcases his impressive art collection. Thompson played a pivotal role in revitalizing the Thai silk industry after World War II and was honored for his contributions to Thailand. The museum features six traditional Thai teakwood houses that were carefully collected from different parts of Thailand by Thompson himself.
It’s beautiful. The tours only around 45 minutes but it’s totally worth the 200B you pay. Guide was very well rehearsed in her oratory and knowledgeable when pressed further. Love the place, went 4 years ago then again recently and will pay a further visit when I’m back in BKK in a couple weeks.
The grounds and rooms are magnificent to behold if you’ve an eye for the sort of planning that goes into that kind of thing. A solid recommend.
John O?Noakes — Google review
I adore the house, garden and various artworks around the museum. The guide tour itself feels clearly geared towards the white tourists. I guess it’s a general feel-good story about a Caucasian business man went to Asian, got fascinated by the culture, loved by the natives, and most of all, saw a great business opportunity. The tour did show how Jim and his partners embraced Thai traditions and how he was undeniably a crucial factor in the flourish of the nation’s silk industry, but the narration feels a bit monotone as it doesn’t take the Thai people into the picture and more about how tasteful Jim is. Besides, in each room there are screens that show art performance of another contemporary artist, which I feel kinda out of nowhere and don’t really fit the atmosphere.

A beautiful, calming stop in Bangkok. The museum is peaceful, with gorgeous gardens and intricately detailed architecture and interior decoration. They offer tours about 45 minutes length in different languages. You’ll learn about the history of Jim Thompson and his learnings and contributions to Thai culture, including the construction of his house, his promotion of Thai silk as a prized material for global fashion, and his mysterious disappearance. Along the way you’ll also learn about traditional Thai architecture and home living culture. There is a small cafe and a restaurant on the grounds as well. Well worth a stop when visiting Bangkok

There’s only the option of taking a guided tour (available in multiple languages) for 400 baht. They start every half hour.
Beautifully curated history of both Thailand and Jim Thompson. Through him you can learn lots about Thai architecture, textiles, trade, and beliefs. There’s also a textile exhibit which was really informative. The gift shop had stunning pieces, far far too
expensive for us, but still a treat to see!

After all the hectic travel around Bangkok, arriving at Jim Thompson house was such a immense pleasure for some authentic Thai vibe art and respect for the culture. After the tour with the guide, you are free to visit the garden on your own and finish either at the restaurant or the shop. I spent 1hour in the shop and ending up with plenty of high quality silk scarfs and gifts for my family. The designs are super modern if you want something a bit out of the ordinary and also very traditional. For every taste! The lady seller was also very nice!
Have a visit there ;)

Interesting house museum that belonged to an American Silk businessman. The tour through the house explains both the art pieces as well as interesting information of Jim Thomson and the house itself.
Don't miss the garden, it's as beautiful as the house and excellently maintained.
I also tried the restaurant and found it good, even though it is a bit price compared to other places in Bangkok.

Most beautiful museum, amazing history of Jim Thomson. Lovely quality of his work left behind for the world to see, with nice people working. Recommend for anyone visiting Bangkok.

A lovely house museum in Bangkok with many interesting historical artifacts including porcelain, furniture and many Buddhas. We took a very good guided tour in English. The gardens are also lush and lovely.

This place is brilliant. I almost didn't go. It's a hidden gem. The tour was fabulous. Our tour guide was hilarious, a real giggler. I almost turned back because you can't proceed without a tour and the next English tour wasn't for another hour. Anyway, it was well worth it. If you are in that area go go go!

Well worth a visit. The house and grounds are beautiful, the tour (essential to enter the house) is regular and available in multiple languages, offering interesting facts about the house, the history and Jim Thompson. Lovely fabrics available in the shop, although pricey. We went to the outlet shop in a different part of the city where they have a much wider range of products at significantly lower prices (mostly 30-50%, some even over 50%).

Only visited this because it was very close to our hotel, but was pleasantly surprised. An interesting example of colonialism, an architectural gem, lovely gardens and a guided tour that's included in the cheap entrance fee. I would recommend it. The gift shop has lonely silk stuff, albeit very expensive.

Pretty cool experience. It’s a beautiful and old wooden house with interesting and eccentric additions. Jim Thompson was an American silk tycoon who fell in love with Thailand and made it his permanent home. He disappeared without explanation in Myanmar in the 1960s.
He has some wonderful and quite amazing artifacts in the house, including a sculpture from the 7th century. The tour is only 200 baht and it’s fairly informative. The garden is a highlight—it’s breathtakingly beautiful.
Overall, this is a good experience, but it’s not incredible. The tour is a bit short, the house is a bit small, and there’s not too much additional “woo” for your buck.
Christopher Gorrie — Google review
I loved seeing the old wooden homes and hearing Jim Thompson's story. The small garden was so peaceful. The silks were exquisite. We had to wait 15 minutes for an English tour. The tour guide was knowledgeable. It's easy to get to from the sky train.

Great to see traditional Thai wooden houses, combined to make a beautiful modern home.
Many beautiful antique furniture and objects d'art.
Peaceful garden and pool.

Expensive,as they should be but very unique.
Excellent gifts.

I visited this place and noticed that it attracts more tourists than locals, despite the fascinating story of the house and the fame of Thai silk-making. Inside are different sections, including a guided tour of the place in foreign languages (English, Chinese, and Japanese), a cafe, a brand shop, and a renovated restaurant. The admission fee is only 200 baht, and the tour lasts 45 minutes.
The atmosphere at Jim's in Thompson felt shady as if it's not in Bangkok. The food and drinks at the cafe were alright, but I found the prices a bit high for the portion sizes. On a positive note, there's a rotating exhibition on the second floor of the brand store, and it's free to view.

A lovely cultural place. The price includes a guided tour. It was hard to understand a person, but they try and always answer all questions. There is a rather big shop at the end, which although not my thing, I admit has very nice things. Recommended!

Jim Thompson house was one of my favorite places in Bangkok. I enjoyed the required tour in which you get a glimpse into his life, how the house came into being, the history of silk as it relates to Mr. Thompson, and the beautiful artwork he collected. His disappearance in 1967 is fascinating. A gift shop on the grounds has unique beautiful silk clothes and accessories. The shop happens to be air conditioned if you go when it's hot. Also, nice cafe, garden, and restrooms available. The house is considered a national treasure, with good reason, it's truly special. My pictures don't do it justice.

It's a nice place to visit, especially for those interested in wooden architecture. However, the tour guide speaks very quickly and rushes through explanations from one room to another. We paid 200 Baht for the tour. Some people may have enjoyed the experience and gained new insights, but others might have felt overwhelmed.

I'd heard of Jim Thompson before visiting Thailand, but my wife had not. What I liked is how the tour takes you through not only his house, but his life as well. The staff were super nice and knowledgeable of the man and his life. I loved the architecture of how the house was laid out, the history of it's design, and of course the mystery of the final whereabouts of Jim Thomson himself. The guide was available in many languages and they were quite kind. The area around his house is well designed and quite peaceful. Would definitely go again.

Really love this place, especially if you know the story of this person and his brand (read in advance!!)
BUT I won’t recommend you to go here with expectations, excursion was the worse I have ever had. Such a brilliant story end up with “this is the toilet in the house”.
You have to wait for 40 minutes for a slot and can’t take video 😝 I mean… we are in 21 century, come on. Groups are so close to each other that you can hear other languages and they are in a hurry with that. No time to enjoy or questions
They have 3 languages: Japanese, English and French
Interesting that routes are different if you go with different guides and you will know or don’t know several facts
I was impressed more when I talked with people who knew him.
Again: plan for couple of hours to spend there
Better to come around 1-2 pm, take a tour, take some time to spend in terrace or cafe and buy something in the shop
Shop: it’s cool sometimes to meet a lady to get a discount 15% voucher, and a tax free then. Check the website, sometimes discounts in several different shops are different.
Take your time and get your coffee upstairs.
If you go on a date book a table in the restaurant or tea house. Really cool!
Then go to boat station and take the boat it’s just 12 batt and you will have amazing views of truly Thailand life
Update: we end up with 2 dresses, pants, small mirrors and the quality are so good, you won’t regret!

A very impressive temple that features the famous Golden Buddha. Purchase a ticket in the stall found just to the left of the temple, then climb the stairs to the top. You’ll be asked to remove your shoes before entering. The interior is ornate and it really is impressive. Photos are allowed but they ask you to refrain from taking any videos. The view over Chinatown is also impressive. After visiting this temple, you can wander the alleyways of Chinatown for hours. Great destination!

Found this while walking around. The main temple was closed because it was pretty late, but the area across the parking lot with the big Buddha was still open. The lady working there taught us how to pray like the Thai. We bought a few things to offer during our prayers which were fairly priced. Honestly, it was a beautiful experience--even without touring the main building. What a wonderful, enriching experience!

With so many beautiful temples in Bangkok if you have to choose a handful this one should be on your list. But to me the best part was the view from the top over Chinatown!
The golden Buddha itself was not so impressive as I was expecting.

I came across this place when I took the bus tour offered by Thailand. The temple is very well built with a huge Buddha statue made of gold. Although there was an entry fee, this temple was still something to marvel at. It was cool to see the clean structure and beautiful Buddha statue at the top. Massive golden Buddha. Impressive to see, especially if you're interested in cultural immersion a bit.
There's also a black Buddha nearby, both Buddha are basically facing each other (but the golden one is in a temple)..
Pro-tip: watch some YouTube video's to learn more about Buddhism up front and/or on your way there. I tried figuring out why people would bow and pray to Buddha statues, but not entirely convinced with my findings so far.

A beautiful temple with lovely views across the city. This was the first temple that we visited during our visit to Bangkok and it was absolutely stunning. The entrance cost was incredibly reasonable and I would definitely recommend stopping by. Do bear in mind that you will need to do a lot of stairs, so if mobility is an issue it will not suit you.

Beautiful temple, it gets and stays crowded at least that's how it was when I visited. Great view of the city. They don't allow recordings inside of the temple and keep in mind that they do expect people to dress accordingly, if wearing shorts they need to be below the knees and in the case for women they should have something to cover. Although there were signs and they kept repeating it I didn't see anyone being turned away.

First temple we visited in Thailand, right on the outskirrs of Bangkok. Chinatown, just off of Yaowarat Rd (main street of Chinatown). Beautiful ornate temple, very popular with the locals, housing a very shiny gold Buddha. Good views of the surrounding city from the top.
One of the listed must see temples in Bangkok even if the temple complex is on the smaller side.
Chatuchak Weekend Market, also known as JJ Market, is a massive market in northern Bangkok with over 15,000 stalls offering a diverse range of goods. Originally a flea market started in the 1950s, it has now become the largest market in Thailand. The market sells everything from clothing to pets, antiques, plants, amulets, and food and drink.
Overall pleasant experience. Not as crowded as before but most of the shops along the Main Street still open. Remember to look out for the meatball stall and the stall selling coconut ice cream and mango sticky rice (refer to photos). Meatballs handmade on the spot and it was so good we ordered again 🤪✌🏼. Inner lane shops were mostly closed but we didn’t have time for that also 😂 came at around 12 and left at 6pm with many loots. Rained on the day we came so remember to bring an umbrella as there are shops on both sides of the street.

This market offers the most variety of products compared to other markets in Bangkok. I think some of the products you can't find elsewhere in the city. Just prepare yourself with enough time and energy to walk to explore every single aisle as this market could be the biggest market in the world. Once you find something, don't think that you want to compare the price with other markets, just buy it. This market offered one of the best prices among other markets. Or probably you will be lost and not able to find the shop again.

Various choices, especially of clothes. Huge areal and not easy to navigate. Not crowded. Easy to communicate in English.
Unfortunately it's not really authentic. A place, made for tourists. The price level is equivalent to tourist places. It's overpriced, even you can find funny clothes and really nice handicrafts.

The place is huge with a lot of little shops and alleyways. If you like something best buy it on the spot as the chance for you to find the same place again is rare. Just be warned it does get very crowded and it can also be very hot so be prepared and take some much needed breaks. There are food stalls outside and also coffee shops and juice stalls where you can buy some cold drinks to help cool down your body temperature. The stuff are cheap and some of the stall owners are willing to bargain the price. Be aware of pickpockets so keep your bag and belongings close.

Huge market that sells all kinds of things - souvenirs, handicraft, furniture, clothing, bags, pet supplies, food etc.
The shops are categorised and zoned according to products. To explore efficiently, best to study the zones and location and plan your route.
For pet lovers - mammals, reptiles, aquatic, there are impressive and comprehensive range of products. Best place to shop for pet supplies.

An incredibly large and bustling market with a wide range of food, souvenirs and other goods. Whilst we arrived only about an hour before it was due to close, a decent number of stalls stayed open after closing time. Only on the weekend this market features pretty much everything any Thai market has to offer. Bargaining is still part and parcel of the exchange.
I suggest finding the maps located at either entrance to help you hone in on any particular purchase you are looking to make.
Take plenty of water and start buy purchasing a fan, because the days are long and hot.
Also loads of affordable massage services in this market and they are air conditioned.
The market also has plenty of food vendors, with pretty much any cuisine you can imagine.

Warning it will get hot & pray you don’t get rained on! But so worth it! So much to see and eat so bring comfortable sneakers!
It will also be very very packed! So if you do not like crowded places this is definitely not a place to visit! Bring cash as most places do not accept credit card. Come starving because there’s so much food/drinks to munch it while you walk and shop!

Awesome place to go with so many stuff to buy. Even some cool art. Got so many reasonably priced souvenirs. Alternatively to taking it all home yourself, buy a suit case, fill it up and sent it home via DHL or UPS on site 🤣 Well accessible and not far from the green BTW line. Due to the heat best to start early mornings. Also many food options around although some places along the main street (especially the one with the DJ playing) are just ridiculously priced for the location. Had the best coffee at Loong Coffee down the main street for 45 baht and tasty mango juice for 20 baht at the open area in the middle of the market (where the clock tower is)

This place is a must-visit, even if you're not solely interested in shopping. From Wednesday to Friday, it transforms into a vibrant plant and garden market, while weekends see it expand into a massive marketplace offering everything imaginable. The shops are unique and impressive, offering the city's best fashion prices. Spending a few hours here is a great idea. The market hosts numerous stalls selling a wide variety of items, with plenty of food and drink options available. Access from the sky train or metro station is easy, and there's ample shelter when it rains, which can actually be refreshing. Some items are quite affordable. For better food options, Jodd fair food is recommended. The market is sprawling, filled with small shops and alleyways. If you come across something you like, it's advisable to buy it immediately, as finding the same spot again might be challenging.

One of the better night market if you looking for Thai food. My best tip would be don’t stop at the pack of food stand in the front. They are cheap but there is a cheaper option hidden away. You see more local use this which should give you a hint. These stalls are near the long mall building. They are right outside the entrance of the building. Go here for the best price. Other than that the mall has like 100 baht store to get your essentials if you want. It’s a good place to walk around. Good selection of retail and souvenir.
This place would be better than the Chinatown night market. Go here instead or first.

I recently visited Chatuchak Market in Thailand, and it was an amazing experience. The market offers a vast variety of products, from handmade crafts to trendy fashion items. The sheer size of the market is impressive, providing endless opportunities for exploration. What stood out the most was the affordability of the items – it's a shopper's paradise for those looking for great deals. The lively atmosphere and friendly vendors added to the overall positive vibe. A must-visit for anyone seeking a unique and budget-friendly shopping experience!

Open only during weekends. Great place to shop. Huge place requiring half day to whole day to complete. Variety of stuffs from clothes to food and even pets products. Some shops have online payment however mostly only accept cash.

I arrived early than usual but I realize there were several store already open. This isn't my first time here, but I just realized that not all shops allow you to take photos.
Oh yes, you can bargain for items there to get a better price. To be honest, I had prepared myself to spend half day in this place, it turns out 2 hours was enough for me. Because I am from Bali, I think there are some things I can get here at better prices

You can find many things at the weekend market. The complex is so big that hours of walking just was not enough to cover all the shops.
It is great to buy cheap things as souvenir from Bangkok to your relatives. But in terms of quality, I guess every shop has different level.

Perhaps this is one of the best shopping spots on this planet. They don't just buy in some China t shirts and sell it with a boring tone. In fact almost each store has their own design. Thai people somehow demonstrated their creativity on fashion design not limited to funny commercial ads.
Chao Phraya River Tour Co.,Ltd. offers a delightful experience with its Princess cruise, providing excellent service and delicious food accompanied by live music for an exciting atmosphere. It's a great way to explore Bangkok while enjoying the scenic views along the Chao Phraya River. The Rama 8 bridge is also highly recommended for its impressive features.
