We had an incredible stay at Jenny and Arthur's place, camping on the Riverfront site. It is a seriously beautiful spot, right by the river and with plenty of room on the site (especially as we were only two people)! Lush and soft grass, with a very nice and clean composting toilet and water access made camping a pleasure. We also did the morning kayak tour down the river which I can highly recommend, Jenny is an excellent guide and brews a really nice coffee, plus bakes her world's famous white choc-chip muffins which are a must. Would highly recommend to anyone.
Robert Walwyn — Google review
Awesome Kayak Tour!! loved every second! The Muffins are delicious and the coffee is exactly what we needed after an early morning of kayaking.
Very knowledgeable and pleasant to talk to along the way. We loved that they took photos for us and uploaded them to a dropbox link for us so we could focus on kayaking and taking in the sights.
I would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting the area!

They contribute to the local community. Full of knowledge. Amazing wildlife around. Plus the quiet camping areas. Nice to see they put you first and make sure you are happy. Great views. You can’t go wrong. Safety is also high priority on the river. Good brief and ensured we were sun smart.

Fantastic Morning. Jenny and Arthur were excellent guides. We meandered down the river at a leisurely pace enjoying the magnificent scenery. I would highly recommend the tour.
Bronwyn Burgess — Google review
We were lucky enough to have met Jenny and Arthur prior to the kayak tour having had stayed on one of their camp sites. Right from the first intro, you know you are in good hands. With a 9 and 11yo we were aware that safety was important. The 9yo had no experience paddling. This was not an issue. Jenny made sure everyone was at ease with clear instructions and support. Arthur towed the 9yo for a fair while and both Jenny and Arthur were coaching all the way. It was a beautiful morning spent learning about the river, the history of the region, bird and wildlife watching and just an all round relaxing paddle. We stopped for a rest, had some morning tea and a swim. The highlight was the return trip where the 9yo was confident and keen to take on paddling back on her own steam. Thank you Jenny and Arthur for a wonderful experience.
Dear Jenny ,
We had an amazing time at your camp and an even better time kayaking with you and I hope you did to thank you
From 9yo
Hi Jenny
I liked the experience kayaking seeing all the animals and birds around. I had a great time on the river with Jenny and Arthur.

My partner and I got to experience the morning Kayak session with Jenny and Arthur.
Jenny and Arthur are extremely knowledgeable about the river and surrounding wildlife and treated the experience as though it was their first time exploring.
We were lucky enough to see Australian Water Dragons, Kingfishers and a Python on our outing, all of which were highlighted by our incredible guides.
I would recommend this experience to anyone and would say this a MUST SEE if you are in the area. This is a day we wont forget.
Jenny and Arthur went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience and provided a few recommendations of places to visit in and around Eden.
Kevin McDonald — Google review
We were very impressed by everything; the nature, a wonderful breakfast, the equipment and guidance. We had little experience in kayaking earlier but Jenny made sure I felt comfortable. Along our 2 weeks trip this might well be the best experience. Such a lovely people, highly recommended!

Our family did a guided kayaking tour on 13/01. Jenny and husband were very friendly and knowledgeable. Tour was well organized and following COVID protocol. Jenny also took great photos for us. River was peaceful and clear. Our family had a wonderful time. Highly recommended.
Beautiful. Lots of parking. Toilets. Stunning views. Good surf beach with lovely rock pools.

We had a nice walk from our campground at Malacoota Foreshore over to here. The paths are all good and the views of the water are great at the point. Past the boat ramp you can walk down to the beach and go around the point to a much longer beach. Decent public toilets here as well.

In addition to the caves, the location also features a well-equipped camping site with amenities like toilets, showers, laundry facilities, kitchen areas, and BBQ spots.
Absolutely beautiful caves. Went on the Royal Cave and Fairy Cave tour and the guide explain the history of the caves very well. Definitely recommended. Even the surrounding areas are filled with greenery and the air was so fresh. Great for camping and also hiking around the area.

Friendly staff on sales and reception. The right wing leads into a knowledge hub of Buchan caves. Very insightful!
Yasiru Panditaratne — Google review
We tried to visit Buchan Caves last January but didn't book early enough and missed out. So glad we got in this year, saw Royal cave with our 7yo. It was AMAZING. I remember seeing a cave when I was young but what I'll remember most about this tour was the guide. Unfortunately I didn't get his name but he is pictured on the Parks page! He was very considerate of everyone. Gave info in terms the kids could process with a lot of humour too. He also chose little helpers along the way which made the kids day. I'll be back to see a different cave at some point. Well worth the trip.

Such a wonderful place to visit. Book online and reserve your tickets recommended. There are few caves you can visit.
Chanaka Erandith — Google review
We visited the caves during the Melbourne Cup long holiday, and took the Royal cave tour .It was very well conducted. The limestone cave formations are awesome!! It's a great experience to view them in person. The conducted tour allows for adequate time to appreciate the formations of stalactites and also for some nice photography.
The tour took around an hour, and involved a little bit of stair-climbing, but nothing difficult. The elderly in our group (aged 75+) managed the tour without much difficulty. The floor is a bit slippery but not a major impediment. Parts of the cave route can get cramped, but should be manageable for most people.
I will not recommend this tour for infants and very young kids (under 3) as they may get cranky due to the darkness and damp and humid climate inside the caves. However, I highly recommend it for older kids and adults.
We went here on a hot day, but the temperature inside the cave was pleasant (though it was humid).
Note: Food and water are not allowed inside the caves during the tour.
Hemant Murthy — Google review
Our family of five loved the Royal Cave tour. Our guide was engaging and provided us with lots of interesting information about the cave and its discovery. Our children had their questions answered and really enjoyed the experience.

Awesome experience! Lot's of fun for the whole family. We visited only fairy cove, due to the limited time availability. Book in advance! We didn't get why we should come 30 min prior our tour.
stan st — Google review
Stunning. Fairy Cave was beautiful, nature is absolutely amazing. Tour guide was very friendly, knowledgable & funny.
Great place for families to visit.
Such a shame that people ignore signs & requests of tour guides asking us NOT TO TOUCH the cave walls etc as it does permanent damage. To see the discolouration of the walls & formations caused by oils etc from peoples hands/fingers touching & feeling them, or the broken formations from people trying to take a souvenir home with them is maddening. A moment of ignorance & greed does a lifetime of damage. Do as you're told, DO NOT TOUCH & we can all continue to enjoy the natural wonders. Keep ignoring the requests & eventually there will be nothing left for future generations to see & enjoy because you have destroyed them or they have had to be closed off to the public so they can be preserved.
Small, quaint museum & retail shop offering a wide selection of seashells & preserved specimens.
Unbelievable. The experience was Amazing and very educational. The variety of this amazing collection was unimaginable and very detailed in the description of hundreds of artefacts. From 2 headed Sharks to giant grabs a Amazing toy Train display that is worth seeing just buy itself .. A coral reef witch is a must see... The owners say the collection was unimaginable to describe and was put together over last 40... To 50 years and a young boys love of my cookies....
Andrew Guy — Google review
The museum has a whole heap of shells from across the world, donated by collectors such as Frank Jones. There is a small aquarium that needs more fish, and the train set needs more trains as it only has 2 trains running (don't know if the others are working). Also has a COVID Safe plan that is well enforced. Ended up buying a mug for $7.50 for my younger brother's birthday present (sounds dear, but supports locals and is unique).
Jaiden Tslgl2 — Google review
More a massive gift shop than a museum, as pretty much everything is for sale. A great range of various shells and also gemstones and other general souvenirs.
P.S: I’m told the museum is out the back (I think). I could not see any signs that direct you to the museum. It would be nice if the lady in the shop asked if we’d been to or would like to go to the museum.
Bella Bella — Google review
It is a museum of sea shells and marine display, coupled with a gift shop where you can buy shells and related stuff. There is also a display of a miniature railway system within the museum. The variety of shells you get to see here is amazing
Saji Mathew — Google review
Wonderful gift shop, with a must-see museum of shells, marine life, crystals, fossils and history of the area. It also has a huge train set at the back with a beautiful landscape. The gift shop is full of cool bought and hand-made trinkets, all at excellent prices.
Adam Miksad — Google review
Definitely worth a visit, the back museum part has so many weird and wonderful sea things to look at. Fish tanks could use some more decor though.
Great to pick up some souvenirs to take home if you are holidaying in Lakes. Shop has every shell you could imagine from all around the world.

This museum shells from all over the world. Need to buy tickets. Kids love this museum
Charanjit Minhas — Google review
An impressive collection of shells and fossils. A cool train set in one of the back rooms too, but this museum was not necessarily our thing. Popped in for about 20 minutes, and the staff were quite friendly.
Kerbray — Google review
Amazing collection of shells at gift shop. My daughter and I bought a lot of beautiful shells at reasonable price. It is a must go place at Lakes Entrance. Highly recommended!
Jennifer Chan — Google review
It was pretty good and I used to love going. Lately it feels like it's more run down than it has been. It's nothing too bad but some dusting and new paint would go a long way. The train set needs some attention as only one of the trains still runs and it sounds like the motor is struggling. Another area for improvement would be the air quality inside, it feels extremely stuffy and some fresh air coming in would go a long way. I understand that the fish require a certain temperature but the air inside feels really stuffy. I would go again but some pretty small things would make the experience far better.
Joseph Cotton — Google review
The shop is very reminiscent of the 80’s era but loved seeing all the shells and rocks. The museum was well Roth a visit and fascinating specimens both in shells, rocks and aquarium that were unique. The miniature railway was a bonus. Had it to ourselves mid week so really enjoyed our time there
Abigail Taylor — Google review
A gem in Lake Entrance. I highly recommend visiting this museum. A well exhibited collection of thousands of shells and sea life from around the world. The model train display is also very well done and presented. Depending on your interest, it can take between 30 minutes to an hour to view their collection.
The souvenir shop in the front is also very nice, selling accessories and trinkets made from shells.
This is ideal for adults, as well as kids above 5 years of age.
Hemant Murthy — Google review
What a great collection of sea shells!! It is crazy to see so many different types. They must be well known collectors world wide. It's crazy how many are on display and that's not all of the collection!! Really enjoyed our time there
Lee Glanzmann — Google review
The Griffiths Sea Shell Museum and Marine Display, a unique fusion of a shop and museum, left me enchanted. The sea shells, elegantly adorned and diverse in options, created a captivating display. The sculptures were particularly impressive, making it a must to purchase one as a lasting memory. Although my exploration leaned towards the shop rather than the museum, it's undeniably a delightful spot, especially for kids.

La Trobe Swing Bridge is a remarkable feat of engineering and a valuable destination for history enthusiasts. The area boasts informative information boards, ample parking on both sides of the bridge, and stunning views of the waterway from atop. Despite occasional flooding during early spring, the attraction remains intriguing to visitors. This Australian landmark represents a well-preserved piece of national engineering history and has undergone meticulous restoration efforts. The bridge opens every Saturday at noon, showcasing its impressive mechanical functionality.
No tickets required. An old swing bridge (rotating) where the La Trobe and Thompson rivers meet, and near the Sale Common nature reserve. Very pleasant place for a picnic or a walk, or just to see the old bridge and take pictures.

It's a bridge over a river..... Thats what I thought then I read the information and realised its an engineering work of art!
Only accessible by foot or bicycle, no vehicles can drive over this but there are parking spots nearby.
I took the 5km walk from town centre and was a nice walk through the swamplands finally arriving at the bridge.

If you're in Sale, it's worth the 10 minute drive to check out this piece if history. Built between 1880 - 1883, it took 2 x bridge keepers to open by hand crank. The bridge opens each Saturday and Sunday between 3pm and 4pm at the time of writing this review with a custom mechanical drive. Attraction is wheelchair accessible, however watch the gaps in the wooden bridge.

Good to see this historic bridge restored so well.

Nice spot to stop and have a rest, picnic or marvel at the historical bridge. If you are lucky enough to come at the right time you'll see the hi-vis crew wheel out the generator and crank to rotate the bridge. No bathroom facilities.
Georgia Sands — Google review
This bridge is one of the oldest surviving swing bridges in Australia, being constructed between 1880-1883, and is regarded as one of the engineering wonders of Gippsland, being able to swing through 360 degrees.
It has been well restored to its original state and has many information signs around it. A very scenic place.
Jason Parry — Google review
A great piece of engineering and an informative stop-off for those looking to embrace some history in the area. Plenty of information boards and parking on both sides of the bridge. Somewhat flooded in early spring at the time of visiting, but still interesting nonetheless. Some beautiful views of the waterway from the bridge too.

Beautiful place with stunning views. Food and service were fantastic! Enjoyed my birthday celebration so much! So glad we have a place like this in our area.

Nice lunch and good service. The only downside for me was that my glass of Avon Ridge sparkling wine seemed a bit flat and it would have been great to have a bowl to put my empty mussel shells in so I could easily eat all the sugo.

Stopped here mid afternoon and had a fabulous lunch. The entrees and meals were brought out in a very timely manner. The menu was simple and delish. Most impressed with their stocked craft beers. Loved it. Ten stars.

Also awesome venue for a wedding

Wonderful wine, gnocchi was delicious, so flavorsome and filling. Hubby had the fish n chips and was stoked. The place is looking much better since the new manager, nice greenery around, including the lights above, maybe l think, a new paint job inside. Staff were beaut and serving was a breeze, one even returned half way through the meal to check it was to everyone's liking. Also wait staff at end of meal wanted to know if everyone was satisfied with meals, excellent! Can't wait to return with the ladies next time, well done guys 😉😍

Great variety of food options & very friendly staff..
Definitely a beautiful view and a nice place to sit in any weather there are heaters under the verandah & big wooden outdoor seating with umbrellas for summer.

Very pleasant Sunday sippers session. Beautiful verandah area caught the afternoon breeze and couple of very tasty Avon Ridge ciders. Add the sweet tones of a local musician... Perfect afternoon. The views are not bad either.

We celebrated my birthday at The Vines on Avon today and we can't speak highly enough of our experience. The staff were excellent and the food was absolutely delicious. We were a party of five and everyone ordered something different. Wow! All the meals were fabulous and we all commented on how lucky we are to be local to this wonderful venue. Congratulations to you all on your new venture and we look forward to returning in the very near future. If you are wanting to experience an extra special meal, don't hesitate, you won't be disappointed!

Just letting you know that the venue looked amazing and that we have had so much feedback on how great it was there and how fantastic the staff were.
The ambience of your venue cannot be beaten and I will not hesitate in recommending it anyone.
As it is we already have friends that are going to go there for Sunday sippers now due to the decking etc
Thanks again!

Tarra-Bulga National Park is a protected rainforest that boasts giant tree ferns, picnic areas, walking tracks, and waterfalls. It is an isolated national park that provides visitors with a sense of being transported back to the Stone Age. The park's seclusion makes it an ideal destination during Covid times when people seek solace in nature without encountering crowds. The Corrigan suspension bridge offers breathtaking views and should be on every visitor's itinerary.
Very secluded national park, absolutely brings you back into Stone Age. Hence this is a great place to come during Covid, because there aren’t a lot of people. So you can enjoy the beauty of nature and indulge yourself in some quietness.
The corrigan suspension bridge is a must go if you come here, because the views are extraordinary. However, there is literally no restaurants or cafes around, so bring some food to eat at the picnic area.
Overall a great escape to the nature.
Long 4saken — Google review
Easy beautiful trail, such rich biodiversity! We were on mushroom watch the whole time to see how many different species we could find. Glorious when overcast and a little bit rainy (but maybe that’s just me). Would love to come back after some rainfall to see more running water! It was just so nice to be immersed in nature like this.
Ella Tough — Google review
Cool place even in hot days. There are few walking tracks through dense forest and one way leads to suspension bridge. There is toilet block and few picnic tables at car park.
Varghese Zacharia — Google review
It's worth a national Park. If you're heading there for a day visit from Melbourne, start early in the morning. Pack some food with you to eat at the site. Then head to the forest and suspension bridge. There are steep slopes for walking. On your way you Will witness fallen trees on paths. If you have anyone for 45 years + consider extra time and think if they can make it. Overall enchanting forest experience. It's a very deep forest experience. Small waterfalls / fountains are unbelievably true. Take a seat for 15 mins when you're deep in experience.
Kiran Upale — Google review
We love this forest, it feels like an area that time forgot and with its own climate. I remember coming here as a kid, and now coming back to see how I've gotten older, but the forest is relatively the same. Wait for the human sounds to die out and be treated to a magical soundscape of birds, rain, and the breeze through the leaves. Beautiful in all weather conditions, be prepared for rain, mud, and a few leeches. The suspension bridge is an easy walk, and it's sure to leave a few memories behind.

Beautiful national park in Gippsland region.
Have a big visitor center and picnic area.
Numerous short walking tracks in the forest and to the suspension bridges.
You can have a picnic in Tarra valley area too and expore the waterfalls as well.
Good to spend a day in the nature to chill and relax or have a family gathering/picnic.
Not many other activities, so 1 day is enough in the area.
Trang Nguyen — Google review
Fantastic 6.6 km hike from visitor center to suspension bridge then double back to Lyrebird trail. You can grab a map from the visitor center tin box if it is not open. Track is wide but it can get boggy and has some decent inclines - what goes down must come up. Good hiking boots and socks highly recommended. Plan for a picnic at the end. Lots of tables and a BBQ area at the visitor center car park.

The Tarra-Bulga National Park is a joy to visit if you're into nature and hiking.
The tree ferns make a beautiful green backdrop to the giant mountain ashes throughout the park. There are trails that are well-marked and clear and go throughout the park. There are also many picnic tables and even electric bbqs at the Tourist Visitor Centre and another feature is the Suspension bridge which is well visited. Tarra falls is another quick stop.
Jason Parry — Google review
This is such a beautiful walking spot. The views are so lovely and the sounds of the creeks are so calming. I love the moody atmosphere of this forest/park. The trail is not too intense, so it is suitable for most fitness levels. Definitely worth a visit if you're around the area.

Such an amazing national park in the middle of rainforests with a few nice walking tracks that are suitable for all fitness levels. The suspension bridge which has been surrounded by the green atmosphere was the most scenic part of the park with a stunning view. Highly recommended to visit if you are around the area.

A pleasant delight finding out about this national Park while camping in the area. There are a few short walks that are suitable for taking kids, and then a couple of longer walks (2-4km) that you can do in a loop. Definitely recommend visiting if you're around

Traversed the Forest and Lyrebird track on a cool but sunny afternoon. Suitable for medium fitness or keen walker - beautiful terrain and well maintained track but a little muddy from recent rain.
Good range of different vegetation including a lovely, beech forest in a mountain creek gully.
We parked at the Visitor Centre and did the trail as a loop - incorporating the Ash track and Corrigan's suspension bridge into our return trip.
The lady in the Visitor centre was really helpful with supplying a map and pointing us in the right direction to get started.

I had an afternoon drive from melbourne to Tarra Bulga national park.
A visitor information centre on site but maybe closed if severe weather or short-staffed as they rely on volunteers.
Toilet on site, tap water 🚰 had a strong head pressure, water not drinkable.
There is an accessible track that can be used by a wheelchair.
Dogs not allowed in the park.
Parking available at the entrance.
Peaceful as you walk along the tracks with the sounds of lyrebirds and the rustling of the leaves in the wind.
Walk down to the suspension bridge and immerse yourself to the wonderful sight of the suspension bridge especially from the look out spot.
You can take really good pictures here.
Stanley Lelei — Google review
Huge park to wander round but it is a rain forest!!!
Great to be walking right next to the tree ferns. The massive mountain Ash trees. Fantastic views. I would recommend good walking shoes as some paths were steep and wet.
A lack of volunteers meant some of the centres were closed but some bright spark had the walking maps available outside!
Loved the information boards. Some of the steep paths were closed for safety reasons.
No dogs allowed as they kill wildlife. Picnic and barbecue areas I saw were next to main car park.
Chris Moss — Google review
Road into the park was super sketchy in a 2WD. Google maps said that the main road was closed so pretty much took me up some logging roads. Was doable but if the main way is closed, I'd go the slightly longer way via carrajung lower, unless you're in a 4WD. The park itself was great. We did a short walk to the suspension bridge. Had we had longer there I would have done one of the longer loops. There is an information centre there and flushing loos but no food facilities. You can however BYO and have a picnic there. There are tables in the main car park area. Nice stop over if you wanted to go a long way back to Melbourne if you're coming back from the Prom.

Quite a good track for the family. Short under an hour walk to the suspension bridge. Not too difficult and nice canopy if sun is out.
The Long Tunnel Extended Gold Mine in Walhalla offers guided tours that take visitors deep into the underground workings of the historic mine. With a rich history dating back to the gold rush era, this 8.5km mine eventually became one of the most productive in the area, yielding over 13,695kg of gold.
I’d highly recommend this tour. Informative and eye opening to learn about how tough it was to be a miner back in the days. The tour lasted for about 45 minutes and cost $20. We went during school holidays and our tour was relatively quiet with only 6 people in total.

Walhalla mine and the whole town is very picturesque, peaceful and professionally run by a largely volunteer group who are worthy of praise. I did the mine tour, the train ride and camped at the well catered Chinese gardens campground. The history and geology are an added attraction

Very fascinating tour lead by our wonderful guide, Richard. He went above and beyond as we got caught in traffic (coming from 3 hours away) and missed our original slot, so he did an extra tour for us. The tour was very informative, and the mine was unlike any I have been in before. Really enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone. Very easy walk for elderly or injured.

I recently visited the Long Tunnel Extended Gold Mine in Walhalla, Victoria, and it was an incredible experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and our tour guide, Ben, was extremely knowledgeable about the site's history.
Exploring the tunnels, which extend for over 800 meters, was a fascinating journey through time, and the exhibits and artifacts on display were informative and engaging. It was truly a worthwhile visit, and I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in learning about the rich history of gold mining in Australia.
Overall, my experience at the Long Tunnel Extended Gold Mine was fantastic. It was an excellent opportunity to learn about the local history of the area, and I left feeling enriched and enlightened. If you're ever in the area, be sure to stop by and see it for yourself!

Amazing historical significance of the 1800's Victorian gold rush. Local tour guides do an amazing job of explaining the life of a miner in the old days and the significance of North South quartz reefs. The 45 minute tour into the mine is a great experience for young and old alike.

Very interesting experience. Take a coat as can be cold underground. Also decent shoes as muddy and slippery. Would not recommend for children under 10 as they get would get bored and can be dangerous if parents aren’t keeping a close eye on them. We had a couple of maybe 4 year olds who became bored, noisy and fell in the mud.
Some sombre moments reflecting the sad history. I got in back of group so I could take some good pics free of people. Suggest pre booking as gets booked up quickly.

The mine dates from the Victorian Era. There is a guided tour of the Walhalla Long Tunnel Extended Gold Mine. We learned a bit about what life was like for the miners and learned how this became one of the worlds' richest gold mines.
The tour take you 150 meters below the surface and 300 meters into the hillside to the huge underground machinery chamber. It is quite cool inside, and at the end of our 50-minute tour, I was ready for the summer heat.
There is also an interesting display of old photos and artifacts on site.

Well worth the visit should you be in the area, mine visits are best pre booked as weekends are usually busy. Love the history of the area and how resilient the people were under very difficult circumstances.
Nestled in a picturesque valley, Walhalla is a meticulously preserved goldmining town with a rich history. The area was once heavily deforested by mining companies, but now offers lush greenery and intriguing remnants of its past. A must-see attraction is the Walhalla Goldfields Railway, which dates back to 1910 and was revived in 2002 after years of disuse. Visitors can embark on this historic train journey through the stunning landscape.
A wonderful chance to take in some breathtaking scenery and the Walhalla Valley at a leisurely pace. Fantastic customer service pleasant staff very knowledgeable absolutely stunning scenery plenty of opportunities to take good shots. absolutely wonderful experience.

Lovely ride along the river. Unfortunately it was pissing rain all day and only activities we could do were train and mine tour. Nothing opens before 10 am so don’t get there early to look around prior to 10 especially on a wet day 😔. Was a long day sitting around waiting for tours in the wet. My advice is pick a nice day arrive 10.30 for first train ride at 11. have a look around/lunch then do 1.30 mine tour then continue sightseeing on a good day. Town is a step back in time and is very serene and beautiful

Bit of hail blanketed the scenery giving it a special charm. We also got waylaid by some ducks on the tracks doing their best bushranger impressions!
Fantastic staff along the way pointing out various features and giving some history.
Great way to view the river and valley and support the maintenance of this historic area at the same time.
Cafe at the station with reasonable prices and a little souvenir shop to also help raise funds.
Wheelchair and pram accessible.

Ten stars out of five.
A restored train line, originally opened in 1910, this rail line was the major link in and out of this gold mining town.
The volunteers who operate the railway have dedicated years to restoring the line, trestle bridges, locos, carriages and station.
Have a chat with them, especially Ian.
Parking at the station is a bit limited, so get in early.
The whole area is kid, pet and wheelchair friendly.
Not only that, but their cafe is brilliant, offering coffee thats better than Melbourne!
A useful tip is out of summer, take a coat, as the weather is changeable.

Agnes Falls is located at 125 Agnes Falls Road, Hazel Park, Victoria in the Strzelecki Ranges. The picturesque gorge and surrounding environment are perfect for a picnic and a relatively short walk to the falls and Agnes river. Wheel chair access to the falls and picnic area would be challenging as the paths are rough and steep in places. I would recommend checking the fire rating prior to any visit.

This postage stamp sized arnica reserve is a great spot managed by Parks Victoria.
There are two options to view the falls, a river walk just over 300m long or the slightly shorter more direct route from the carpark.
The carpark isn’t massive so wouldn’t recommend coming down with massive trailers or vans.
There are picnic tables and well cared for lawn areas. Nice place to stop in on your way through the region.

1997 saw 3 lp gas power generators fitted with town lp gas system to service lodge's with gas for heating and cooking, gas power generators to enable underground mains power , removing independent gas bottles and generators.
Plenty of walking tracks that link up to Baw Baw National Park. Good in the white season winter and green season summer.
On site cafe visiter centre have a grate range of items and grate coffee worth the drive and day trip.
Plenty of accommodation to meet budgets and each lodged have a sense of feel when you enter of many good times over the years.
The sleep is the best, getting up in the morning with peace no noise like the city and enjoy coffee while listening to news and traffic reports on the radio from Melbourne and just put on work shoes and start work.

We really had the best snow experience and well enjoyed.
You can participate for many snow games there.
Foods from out side allowed.
There are small restaurants inside as well.
If you want to spend a night there you can book the small cottages least 3 months ago.
They are charging
$60 per vehicle (no matter how many ppl are inside)
+ $39 for your tier chains.(If you can bring your own chains for tiers you can save that money 😃)

What a beautiful drive from Melbourne up to this Alpine Village. It is lower than some of the others so not as much snow, but still very beautiful. We went for a bush walk rather than a ski. Just gorgeous.
Pre buy your tickets, it saves a few bucks, remember to check the snow cams before heading up. And you need snow chains for the car as you do for all Victorian ski resorts.

Mount Baw Baw yields a subpolar oceanic climate (Cfc). The mountain summit receives more annual precipitation than most places in mainland Australia, with frequent and heavy snow in winter (as well as a persistent snowpack). Frequent, heavy cloud-cover and turbulent winds mean that minimum temperatures rarely drop below −5 °C (23 °F), whereas maximum temperatures are frequently at or below 0 °C (32 °F); the mountain is often shrouded in low cloud or mist in winter, thereby reducing diurnal rang

Beautiful and cosy snow resort. Personally I liked it more than buller as its every facility is at hands reach and you get to drive right upto the resort. Also since the Village itself is mostly flat, walking around is not a drag.
When we went there was a lot of snow, lifts were going and plenty of snow play going on.
If you are planning a day trip, this is a perfect Snow resort.

Went during school holidays but on a weekday. Got lucky to have some snow, and was not crowded. We reached around 11am and stayed till 3 (just sight seeing and toboggan activity).
Highly recommend pre booking resort entry, as it can save you few bucks. Entry to toboggan park can also be pre booked. But around 12:40 the colour of pass changes that means, if you had bought pass in the morning, then you have to pay again $12pp to get another pass for afternoon toboggan park entry. We had no issues with parking spots. Staff friendly and happy to help. Chain fitting can be down for $15 (don’t have to pay to take off chains downhill as long as you have the docket).
Did not ski, so no data to share.
Food and hot beverages options available uphill. But not cheap. Toilet facility available in the restaurants. Found it’s cheaper to rent toboggan downhill from local shops. Highly recommend for parents with school going kids.

I was pleasantly surprised snowboarding here having only been to Bulla. The snow was thick, lifts were open (my only comment is I wish they were chair lifts instead) and staff were very helpful! The process of hiring a board and boots was easy - a bit busy but expected for a Saturday in snow season! Get in early as the car park fills up pretty quickly. There are a few restaurants that serve delicious food and beer etc. i would come back for sure!

Great for snow adventures closest to Melbourne. The kids area was super awesome and good access to two hire shops , sit down meals area and two cafe bars.
Andy Michelis — Google review
Great place for kids , just be there early to secure a parking spot or reach there later in the day.little bit to walk from the parking to the snow but not far. The cafe seems to be small and crowded. Haven’t tried the Skiing options but that is for next time. Check for the snow chain requirements even if you have 4WD/AWD cars. I was told to get a chain though I was driving an AWD car.

We went there on 5th aug. If you want to see snow, rather pick up another place. We did a whole circuit hike from baw baw village taking the summit trail and back from Mattheus track. The views, vegetation was amazing, we did see a fair bit of snow and that was fun. There was a bollywood event on the day which was a lot of unnecessary loud music. Tobbogan rides slots were booked out, the artificial snow was not as good either. Only recommend if you want to do a whole hike.

We recently visited Mount Baw Baw for a snow trip, and overall, it was a great experience. However, one downside was that it was quite crowded. The large number of visitors made it challenging to navigate through some areas and created longer wait times for certain attractions. Despite the crowds, we still had a fantastic time on the slopes and would recommend Mount Baw Baw for a snow trip, with the caveat to be prepared for the potential for crowds.

Absolutely beautiful, first snow for me but hubby's been a couple of times to various places around aus and he said it's the best snow he's ever seen. We went a week before school holidays and managed to arrive on one of the best snow days of year. Since we were there before holidays we were one of 6 families and the snow was pristine. Snow upto your knees! Heaps of help from great staff and nooo lines!! Kids loved it and with an autistic child this was perfect. Mt bawbaw is so underrated. We stayed in Erika because we thought the village might be hectic but it was super quiet. We ordered our chains from erika which was a good idea as it gets a bit icy on your way up.

Good place to visit and have the snow experience. Before you go please go their official website and check the live cam footages (realtime) to check the status of snow falling to that location.
Never had a bad meal. Service and wait times are good. Ordered a steak on Saturday and no dramas. Sides was nice, filling and fresh.
Typical pub menu with a few seafood specials that rotate.

I recently visited Warragul Country Club and had a fantastic dining experience. The first thing that impressed me was their extensive menu, which catered to everyone, including seniors and kids. It's always nice to see a restaurant consider different age groups and offer diverse options.
Speaking of the seniors' menu, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the portions were just as generous as the regular meals. This thoughtful approach is commendable, as it ensures seniors can enjoy a satisfying dining experience without compromising on portion size.
The selection of food items was impressive, featuring classic favorites like Chicken Parmas, Scotch Fillet, and the delightful Roast of the Day. I opted for the Roast of the Day and was pleased to see that the portion size was more than adequate; it filled both my plate and my stomach, leaving me completely satisfied.
One aspect that enhanced the overall experience was the welcoming atmosphere of the club. My group was seated on the green side of the restaurant, which provided a tranquil and quiet setting. It was the perfect spot for catching up with family and friends while enjoying our delicious meals.
All in all, my visit to Warragul Country Club was very enjoyable. The combination of a diverse menu, generous portion sizes, and a pleasant ambiance made it a memorable dining experience. If you're looking for a great place to dine with your loved ones, I highly recommend giving Warragul Country Club a try.

Usual stuff.
Friendly staff, nice surroundings Etc.
Sitting in the 19th hole overlooking the 18th.
Really nice meals and timely service.
The staff became AWOL when it came to clearing the tables though.
We would have liked a coffee after our meals but, had to nearly wrestle a staff member to the ground to get some attention.
So, overall rating good and not so good.

I ordered the burger and chips and had a side house salad.
The Burger was fantastic. I'm not sure I'd call it a smashed burger but it was absolutely fantastic. It was juicy, the sauce was great and overall I think it was the best main at one table.
The chips are as boring as you'd expect. I'm not sure why places don't give them some extra love. Why not use some flavoured seasoning salts. Not just the milk bar chicken salt... I can't exactly fault then for the lack of creativity here as people expect just chips, but I would love some garlic parm, or some spice dusted on them. And for the price they were going to be sent out plane I'd expect some gravy or a dipping sauce of sorts.
The house side salad was great. Spinach, beetroot feta and walnuts?! Couldn't ask for a better salad.
Everyone at my table enjoyed their lunch. My children had some nice fish and chips and a pizza and the adults all enjoyed a range of items.
A very nice lunch overall.

Moreover, I think your boss should give you a raise because the country club is very lucky to have a good person like you working here. Keep doing what you do and being who you are Bec and you will continue to kick goals at work and no doubt in your private life to.

First went there 2 years ago could not fault the place. Went there about 1 weeks ago I asked for chicken schnitzel with vegetables my wife asked for no batter on the fish and vegetables after 15 minutes meals came out she had better on the fish we sent it back as thay made a mistake it came back 15 minutes later with no batter and with salad but the time I got to eat my meal it was cold would not go back here again it's better value at the pub meals were very small and for $27 for the fish and $24 for the schnitzel but the garlic bread was and cheese was good and it would have been nice to have more chips except for one little Cup. To their credit they gave a $20 credit for next time sad thing is I don't think there will be a next time.

Steavenson Falls is a well-known tourist attraction in Victoria that boasts an 84-meter drop and offers camping grounds, trails, and viewing platforms. Visitors can enjoy an easy 700-meter walk to the waterfall, which is floodlit between dusk and midnight for nighttime viewing. The area also has additional walking tracks, including an 800-meter hike to the top of the falls. However, parking can be a problem at times with warning signs in place.
So amazing.
The falls are an easy walk from the parking lot. The falls are powerful and there is plenty of water. Certainly worth visiting.
There is also some great hiking in this area, if you have extra time.
Family friendly activity.

Nice spot. Very popular.
700m easy grade walk to waterfall. Nice viewing platforms.
Then 800m hike to the top of the falls.
(I didn't go)
Parking was a problem, but there was a warning sign well in advance reporting the problem. So you can turn back and go later, or wait in a queue.
Other walking tracks in area. You can even hike back to town.
No pets allowed on the walk.

Stevenson Falls such a great, peaceful, majestic, beautiful place. Whether it's a romantic day out with that special person, a fun family day or a great nature walk. Stevenson Falls is a place you can't miss. Victoria has so many wonderful places to see and little hidden gems. This is definitely one of those gems that needs to be on everyone's bucket list. With amenities and facilities, those comforts people need are available and after a shot walk from the car park to the Falls. It is sure to be a place you'll never forget. A definite must see.
Peter Niksic — Google review
The falls are always pretty and worth a look. There is a walk of about 700 metres along a fairly flat gravel path.
Watch out for snakes on a warm day.
It's a shame the track to the upper falls lookout and Keppels lookout was closed due to tree clearing works.
Nick Iles — Google review
First trip to Steavenson Falls and it is probably the best access and for viewing Falls in Victoria, I wish all the councils can provide similar wide, clean and flat walking path, and very strategic located and will built viewing platforms - not 1, but 3, near to each others but with different perspectives.
There are many other tracks around too for those enjoying forest walks or wish to walk to the top of the Falls. The Falls is in fact a 3 levels falls.

It’s one the good waterfalls we’ve seen in Victoria. You can walk onto the stone below the waterfall at base. There are 2 viewpoints at base for clicking good pics. If you are up for a small hike, you can go to the top of the waterfall too. Definitely worth visiting.
Sushma Kollu — Google review
Great scenery and very easily accessible waterfall.
The path there was very well kept and nicely lit when it gets dark thanks to the in-house turbine supplying the electricity.
The trek up to the top of the falls can be a bit sketchy specially if it just rained in the area. The mud and the rocks will be tricky to navigate through during these times but rest assured, the view up the top is quite nice

Steavenson Falls is perfect for folks who like both short and long journeys. You can take a quick 800m path to see the falls or opt for a longer, about 1-hour hike to reach the top. No entry fee, and there's plenty of parking. I visited on a day when the parking ticket machine was closed, so no charges. The falls are beautiful, and you can choose how much adventure you want – whether a short stroll or a longer hike – making it a great spot for everyone.

Beautiful waterfall located in Marysville Victoria. Strollers can be taken up to the view point which is an advantage if you are traveling with a baby. Just about a 15 minute walk from the car park. If you are going to the top of the waterfall, the walk will take around 1-1.5 hrs but I’m sure the view will be amazing. Unfortunately we couldn’t make it with the kids.
There are some ticket machines in the car park which are not working so it is free of charge for now.

Seriously beautiful falls just outside of Marysville. It's about 90 minutes from suburban Melbourne. There are toilets and car park (bring coins for meters). The walk to the falls from the car park is quite easy. The walk to the top of the falls is far more challenging. The elderly will need to take it in stages. Young kids will ask 4,000 times "are we there yet??". If you get to the top of the falls you are rewarded with a viewing platform that allows you great views of the valley. On a hot day it's wonderful to cool off your feet in the crystal clear water. There are several other hiking trails for those with too much energy. There are very few sizable falls close to Melbourne - this is one of them and well worth the trip.

This might not be the biggest waterfall, but you can get close to the waterfall to enjoy the sight and sound of the rushing water. The water volume is high and the environment is tranquil. It's winter during my visit so it can be quite chilly in the evening. It's worth visiting and I recommend it. ;)

Amazing place with a beautiful waterfall!
10-15 minutes walk to the top of the falls and if you wish there is another track that takes you even further to see a. Beautiful view of the mountains and the town below.

What an amazing place ! This place is surrounded by kid friendly parks, creeks, lakes and eateries. The falls in itself was mind blowing. It is a short walk to the falls. For a better view of the falls, there are 2 kinds of treks - one that is easily doable by kids(4-7 years) for 45 mins and the other for more seasoned trekkers which is a longer half day trek. We loved coming here in July 2023.

One of my favourite waterfalls in Melbourne! You can see the falls from bottom or from the top.
Highly recommend to spend 15-30mins walking to the top of falls.
There is a Free parking area (the ticket machine is closed) but the parking slots are limited.
Mandy Choy — Google review
If you're looking for a waterfall with a decent fall, this will be a really good one to visit, it's got the height and the water rush. We were however visiting on a rainy day so that clearly impacts water density, though signs do indicate that they get falls throughout the year. You're not allowed to go into the water as it's the town water supply, and you can't really find spots to sit on right next to flowing water with views of the fall if you're thinking of a picnic. We visited in the day but there's a turbine that powers up flood lights at night (till 11pm) so that would be quite interesting if you were staying nearby. The walk is not difficult for the average person (flat), but there's railings all the way from the carpark which may come in handy for some. Path is also rubbled so it wasn't muddy even with the rain. Public toilets available.

Nice place/waterfall to visit, worth a short and easy walk from a free carpark. View from the top of the waterfall might not be worth it if you are with kids or in a hurry. There is also a hiking path around, near the top of the waterfall, however, again it might not be worth to take if you are not into longer hiking and with kids. The hiking path is not difficult though.

A gorgeous and peaceful spot, only a five minute drive from town. Many of the tourists there are quite pleasant and respectful, at least in my own experience. Lived in Melbourne for 20 or so years and had my first visit it Steavenson Falls. It's a beautiful spot just outside of Marysville and really easy to get around and the falls not far from the carpark. For those more energetic, there is also a much longer hike but that will be another day for us. Keep an eye out for the local wildlife, there's plenty to see, just check out my photos.

They've clearly put a lot of work into making it look and feel really welcoming and cosy. Would highly recommend doing the Gin tasting for anyone in the area looking for something fun to do.

Had the 30 minutes gin tasting session with Paolo. He explained the different Gin well and accommodated us well. Knowledgeable about the product. My favorite is the olive gin and the Shiraz. 15 AUD for the experience.
Smaller than I expected. Didn’t have a lot going on unlike the other vineyards around which has a lot to walk.

The restaurant at The Four Pillars gin distillery provides a remarkable culinary experience, perfectly complemented by a gin tasting.
Among the standout dishes, the chicken, leek, and tarragon pie was a true delight, as were the confit duck arancini and gin-cured salmon bagel. The ham, cheese, and chili jaffle was also a pleasant surprise.
The service was both professional and friendly, adding to the welcoming and warm atmosphere of the place.
Overall, it's a gastronomic experience not to be missed for gin enthusiasts and lovers of inventive cuisine.

This place has some great gin and food but the whole experience feels a little rushed. The waiters are rushing to get you your food and beverages and always seem to be out of breath. The only time the waiters didn't feel rushed was bringing my gin paddle where they actually slowed down and explained the hub. Was a bit shocked they gave us a ticket saying we only had 90 minutes even though the place was half empty.
It is the most popular gin distillery on the area but I find it is a little over hyped and over priced.

Excellent venue, great gin.
Make sure you make a reservation in busy periods, however it wasn’t too busy when we were there.
Great selection of gins to take home or as gifts.

A well organized place to provide you lots of knowledge about Gins. You can have Gins taste here by professional introduction here. Lots of visitors come here not for taste but for dining. Just pick up what you want and enjoy yourself before heading to next destination. Enjoy.

Our visit to Four Pillars Gin Distillery for a tasting was truly exceptional. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was inviting, setting the stage for an immersive experience. Alexa, our guide, went above and beyond, offering insightful and detailed explanations about the intricate process of crafting their remarkable gins. Her knowledge and enthusiasm added a layer of depth to the tasting, making it not just a drink, but a journey through the artistry of distillation. The distillery itself exuded a sense of craftsmanship, and the diverse range of gins showcased the mastery of flavor. It was an impressive and memorable exploration into the world of gin, leaving us thoroughly delighted. Highly recommend for both enthusiasts and those new to the craft!
Yering Station Winery is a prestigious winery located in the Yarra Valley, in Victoria, Australia. Established in 1838, it is one of the oldest and most respected wineries in the region. The wines produced by Yering Station are known for their extraordinary variety and quality. Additionally, the winery features an upscale restaurant with stunning views of the valley.
The dishes were delicious, they only have a selection of 2 courses $70 or 3 courses $85 and we wanted 3 mains, 2 entrees. The manager was happy to charge us $48 for the extra main so that worked out great for us. They offered free wine tastings and a wide range of selections. Stunning view and great service. Quite pricey but worth the dining experience

Great food and Service. The waitress went to bring colouring pencils for my 4 year old daughter which was much appreciated.
The quail wasn't gamey but the sauce was. Cheese platter could feed 4 I reckon.
The steak eye was amazing! Very well cooked with so much flavour! I was also impressed with the Dory. It had so much texture and bite compared to what I find in my country. The rabbit felt like tuna to me though but still good.

Excellent service and food! The waitress are very friendly and helpful. I booked the table online, they reserved a table with awesome window view for us! All the starters and mains are outstanding (looks pretty & taste good), the potions are bigger than i expected. It’s make sense to have 15% surcharge during the public holiday. I would recommend this place to my friends.

We booked for lunch for celebrating birthday.
But we went to wine tasting before start lunch.
They said if you booked for lunch at the restaurant, tasting fee will be no charged. That’s very nice to know!!
All wine was nice.
Staff at the tasting were very attentive.
Staff in the restaurant , they welcomed us with big smile and services we received was excellent and friendly.
Food was beautifully presented and taste was very sensitive.
The portion was just right size for me. Just once thing if I can add, the food was bit under seasoning for my preference.
But overall We had lovely dinning experiences .
The staff who served us was so lovely, I think her name was Julietta. Thank you so much for your lovely smile :) Your smile made our day!!

A good dining experience with great wine selection
The dining experience could have been better. My steak temperature was a bit overcook but the food itself tasted amazing.
the presentation is on point but sadly the entire experience could have been more faster. Waited too long for each food.
The wine selection is great! Must try

Came here during the Easter weekend and the place was packed as expected. Did the wine tasting and there was a 30 mins wait and I was understanding, so we spent the time browsing the premises and admiring some of the artwork, architecture and the garden. Beautifully curated and on another day could spend a whole afternoon. Definitely one of the best wineries in the area.

Magnificent food. A taste experience. Wonderful service and ambience with lovely views to the Kinglake Ranges. 2 and 3 course menu options, so not a value meal, but the value is there if you are looking for top tier dining experience with great wine

We had 3 banquet menu, it was $85pp for lunch. Price was reasonable but food was not good enough. Mostly dry, only dessert was good. I would recommend this place to someone who only cares about the atmosphere not the taste of food.

Delicious food, excellent quality and quantity. Good selection of wines. Four stars not five stars due to service (the staff were run off their feet); and there are better or just as good restaurants that are not as pricey.

Exceptional wine tasting at Yering Station Cellar Door! 🍷 Kudos to Ryan, the manager, for his expertise and hospitality. As a qualified winemaker from NZ, I vouch for the incredible taste of their wines. The 2021 Reserve Shiraz Viognier stole the show— very smooth tannins, ready for drinking now and ripe red fruits on the nose. Highly recommended!

I recently visited Yering Station Winery while on a Hen’s winery tour. The property was beautiful and had a great variety of wines. While we were there, we did a wine tasting session.
The staff member (sorry I don’t remember her name) was very knowledgeable on both the wines we were tasting, as well as the history of the winery which was great to listen to and learn about.
Overall I enjoyed the whole experience. I would come back here to try the food.

Always love visiting this winery as they have such beautiful grounds. Their tastings are all very good value, we did the $15 tasting where we were able to try 9 different wines. Also if you buy any wine you get your tasting fees waived. Only thing is we came close to closing so our tasting was a bit rushed but still very enjoyable!

A lovely treat for the weekend!
We went to Yering Station for a Christmas lunch and it was absolutely delicious! We had the option for a 2 or 3 course meal but I would recommend the 3 as the food is too yum to miss. I had the zucchini flower entreé, and for main the Lamb rack which came with a mushroom pie and for dessert a peach panacotta!
Definitely a pricier experience but great for a special occasion :)

Went there today for a 70th birthday. The food looks great in the photos, but had absolutely no flavour. The fish in the first photo was extremely dry and no flavour, the crab was exactly the same, I wouldn’t even call it crab for the minuscule amount that was inside. For $80 for two courses it was an absolute rip off. The only meal anyone in my family had anything positive words to say was the Kangaroo. Even the dessert had no flavour. We spent over $1000 as a family and feel extremely ripped off.
No table water, and no one came back to offer if we required more we had to flag staff down. Attention to detail lacking, no salt and pepper on the table either. Now I NEVER season my food but in this instance it definitely required seasoning. Don’t waste your money.

We came for a wine tasting after a recommendation from friends. Yering Station boasts the reputation as one of the oldest wineries in the region, and their skills are apparent in their wine. There is a good range of options for tastings and the Estate option provides you with the best selection.
After trying the Estate selection, I fell in love with the Shiraz Viognier and left with a bottle to share with my family 🍷The garden entrance to the tasting room is gorgeous and worth a visit, especially on a sunny day.

Amusement park with activities such as waterslides, go-karts, miniature golf & bumper boats.
Absolute blast!
Enough shade to take your own picnic basket or bbq stuff.
Some people had mini speakers as well, cool!
Wasn't necessary to get a bed at all especially because there is no food allowed in that area.

There is a wave pool and several attractions also. But water was not clean. Still good place to be. I want to go there again when it is not crowded. I had to wait about an hour to ride one attraction.

Went with my daughter and 2 grandsons ( 7 & 10 ) and we had a fantastic day. So many fun water and non water rides to go on. We arrived 9.45am and didn't leave until 4.45pm, tired and exhausted but we all agreed it was a great day. We splashed out and got a Beach Club VIP pass for the sun lounges and think it was worth it, very relaxed especially when it gets really crowded. Not a cheap day but considering all the attractions i consider it good value. Special mention to all Staff, they were exceptional 👏👏👏

Fun family day out at Funfields. My kids age 7 and 10 loved the slides and rides. Going I. March was great as it wasn’t super busy and rides were at most a 5 minute wait. There were enough seats around the Volcano Beach to sit and the water at the wave pool was fun for kids without being too deep. We will be back again!

We chose to go on the non-35-degree day of the weekend which was a great idea, no lines, sit anywhere you want, ride anything you want when you want. Great options for wet or dry rides for all ages. Kids had a blast, we stayed from opening to close. Only 1 small complaint, the gokarts were overstaffed with 4 workers while the kids rides were understaffed with staff having to jump between alternating rides.

But i think it's best to clearly explain about slingshot pass ( with that you can skip the line for one time for selected activities ) otherwise with general admission, you can do all the activities but there might be 30 min line in busy days 👍

The customer service at the theme park was incredibly disappointing. From long wait times to unhelpful staff, it made what should have been a fun day out incredibly frustrating. Our family went there yesterday for easter egg hunt which would have been first ever egg hunt experience for my 2.5 yr old son but due to lack of humbleness and empathy among staff, that experience went sour. They at first forgot to give us egg hunt pass at entry despite of asking them if we need one, FYI we 4 adults and 1 kid all bought full priced day pass and egg hunt ticket was included in same price. We lined up for 20 mins and when it was our turn to go for egg hunt, they said we cant allow u without egg hunt ticket which entry staff forgot to hand it to us. We mentioned if its okay if we show the entry ticket. They denied & said we need the egg hunt ticket and said to leave. My husband quickly ran to entry gate and got the ticket. We were back in literally 2 mins and showed them the ticket but they said now its turn for 4-6 yr kids and we cant let parent accompany your kid as big kids go on their own. They were not considerate at all knowing a child is awaiting to go. The hunt was meant to be till 1230 hrs for 0-3 yrs kids but they had started sending 4-6 yr kids from 1220hrs onwards. Further to that we went to icecream parlour located there to collect drinks. My son is a fussy eater and he wanted to have waffle cone by itself without icecream and we requested for same nd said we are happy to pay but they said we cant sell only cone without ice cream. What kind of customer service is this? It's disheartening when a place meant for enjoyment falls short in providing basic assistance and courtesy to its visitors.

We had an absolute ball at funfields today. All the young men and women working were really lovely, very helpful and had a sense of humour when we were a little (haha) scared of some of the rides. A really enjoyable day.
Just know if you are going on any of the land rides you need to be dry, so we did all the water activities and then changed into our dry clothes. We were there for 7 hrs.
Thanks funfields for a great day.

We want to say a HUGE thank you to Angelo Dinardo for being such a generous and kind Managing Director of this place. Today at 4.44pm after waiting for a good 20 minutes at Supenova we were turned down by the staffs. They told us that all the ride would close in 5 mins. We pleaded with them, telling them that we have waited for so long, but they didnt budge. My two daughters were so sad about it, so we and a bunch of others left. But, on the way down we accidentally met with Angelo and his dog, he saw us looking gloomed and questioned us why we went down. We told him the story, and he said “No one should be turned down, go back up and tell them Angelo said so”. So we did!
We had one last ride at Supenova and IT WAS THE BEST!
Thank you so much for bringing the smile back on my daughter’s faces.
Highly recommend this waterpark ❤️

The Melbourne Cricket Ground, often referred to simply as the 'G', is one of the world's great sporting venues and home of Australian football and the National Sports Museum. It also serves as a music venue and more. The ground holds 100,000 people and hosts cricket in summer and AFL (Australian rules football) footy in winter.
A magnificent cricket ground! Great atmosphere and facilities. Can easily be accessible by Tram, Train or Car. Lots of parking available during games. Came here to watch the Manchester United Tour games. Very fun experience and huge stadium, not a fan of how far you are from the pitch and that Level 1 seating is quite flat which means anyone standing up will block the view of those behind. Would recommend booking on Level 2.
Easily accessible via public transport, best to take the Metro after games as the tram come infrequently and it’s always packed.

Great stadium for watching AFL football. Only disappointment is the extreme wait when purchasing a beverage or food (up to 25 minutes wait for a drink). Serving crowds in a timely manner should get easier after a century of events hosting over 100,000 people.

The official tour of the MCG was really interesting with lots of facts and anecdotes included by the friendly and knowledgeable guide. I was last at the ground in 1996 and it has now been completely transformed, yet still retains its sense of history and tradition. Definitely worth a visit for any cricket and/or Australian rules football fans; plus the walking options from the city centre include strolling through beautiful parks or along the Yarra riverbank.

I’m American and have only seen two cricket games and yet I still loved the tour. Peter, our guide, did a great job.
The tour lasted 75-mins. It moves quickly so you see everything. There is time to take pictures and our guide took some for everyone as well in certain spots if you wanted them for your group .
You need to be comfortable walking quite a bit and walking quickly. Our group was a reasonable size.
There are lifts and I’m sure they offer special tours for those less ambulatory.

Amazing stadium, but you already know that. View from any seat in the house is amazing and unobstructed. Great food options on site with all the stadium favourites. To avoid fighting for a park take the option to park more central in the city and enjoy the walk down the river and over the bridge that leads you right up to the stadium. If you have not been then book some tickets it is an experience of a lifetime!

The MCG and its accompanying museum certainly have a great rich history about them. There's much to see and do, and without being bias, I have to admit I had a good time, despite being a musician by nature and not the sporting type.
It's a great place to bring kids and even seasoned sports fans will learn something about the processes and preparations that take place prior to each game. Believe it or not, mowing the lawn isn't the only job needed.😂

Attending a footy match at the MCG was an absolutely unforgettable experience! The atmosphere of the stadium is truly electric, making every moment of the game feel thrilling and intense. I highly recommend getting a seat close to the ground to truly feel the excitement and energy of the match. There is ample parking available both around and inside the MCG, which made getting there a breeze.
Inside the stadium, there are several food options ranging from snacks to full meals, as well as drinks and coffee to keep you refreshed throughout the game. The match typically lasts around 3 hours, so be sure to grab something warm and a jacket if needed. Additionally, there are convenient toilets located inside the MCG for your convenience. Overall, I had an amazing time at the MCG and would highly recommend it to any sports fan looking for a top-notch stadium experience. Can't wait to go back for another game!"

I have been a big Taylor fan for many years; however, I was actively considering not attending the Eras tour in fear of getting in and out of the event with 96,000 people plus everyone on the outside listening in.
However, I was equally shocked and impressed by:
✅How well they had the crowds moving.
✅How easy it was to get around.
✅How well organised it was.
✅How friendly the staff were.
✅How well the facilities handed the capacity.

The MCG is the home ground for my football team and I am so glad it is because it’s the perfect setting for a good game of football. With accessibility to all levels, beautiful views of the field, and multiple places to eat it’s one of my favourite sporting locations.
If you head along on a day where sport isn’t being played you can see the sports museum which has a vast history of Australian and international sports on display. Perfect for families and friends alike for a day trip and ideal for any sports fan on a visit to the G. Staff are friendly and helpful, facilities are well maintained and cared for, and the atmosphere on the biggest sporting days is electric. Give the MCG a visit on your next trip into Richmond.

We took a leisurely walk on a sunny Spring day when the rain went away and visited The Conservatory and plants, fairy tree, mini Tudor village, dolphin fountain and park spaces. There are very pretty flowers within and around the conservatory. There's limited metered parking around the park if you are visiting by car.

Might have been my first time at this park and I loved it. The grounds were very well maintained and clean. The luscious grass were so inviting; if I had the time I would have gladly fixed a picnic and lay about. I spotted several individuals as well as groups relaxing under the shade of the trees. I even found one gentleman laying on the soft grass taking an afternoon snooze.
Furthermore there is this information centre where you can grab some maps of the city that is catered to your interest (such a need idea). It give you a good tour and for various points of interest.

A very pretty garden, I enjoyed very much wondering about with a dear friend of mine, reminiscing on simpler times, appreciating the view, listening to the trickle of water, giggling at the waddle of a local Pacific Black Duck, I can not recommend it highly enough

One of the best gardens in the city. Although the weather was not good, but we managed to walk around and see decent spots around the area. Each section has specific features, so you won't feels bored. On the contrary, you keep going to discover new things ✨️.

Discovered this park a few days ago while exploring the city with a friend.
Compared to Flagstaff and Carlton gardens, this place seems not as busy and there are few interesting this to do such as the conservatory and cook’s cottage.
Definitely worth a stroll or a walk with your dog!

Beautiful park this time of the year, in spring flowers start to bloom. Fitzroy gardens is a nice respite from the hustle and bustle of the city. It is also an excellent walk to get from the cafe at fitzroy to the federation square area.
It had a nice display of flowers in the middle park area.

After spending the first 2 days well toasted in 38, 36 degree weather, the third day was a pleasant 19 degrees cloudy day which we capitalized on for a visit to Fitzroy Gardens. The garden was a short 15 min tram ride from the CBD area. Scenery was really good and really relaxing. It's surprising that there was little human traffic given how nice the place was. Besides very nice flowers, plants and trees, there were birds found throughout the park. We completed 60 percent of the park and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves including a long period we just sat down on the bench to watch the world go by.

A great space with lots of room for picnics and kids to run around, plenty of history, some art and a lovely conservatory. Accessible to trams and located right next to the treasury gardens. Toilets are unfortunately located in a far corner though rather than at the information centre.

Love these gardens, I've been coming here for year's. Such a great spot just to chill and zone out or picnic with friend's or family. My dog's love this the gardens as much as I do and it's conveniently close to home.

This place is amazing! It's such a great, huge public park. There are many interesting spots in this pal. I’ve been here alone which is a good place to just relax and stroll around the park.

So much bigger than we expected. Lovely well maintained gardens. Spent several hours walking around, taking photos. Highly recommend a visit. Would be lovely to bring a picnic

This garden is wonderful to chill with family, friends, or yourself! It’s surrounded by greens and has some historical cottage houses. There’s also a flower house where you can see a lot of amazing plants! Good for photos, the room is very heated, and the worker there is friendly as well. It’s also a nice place for children indeed, as there are tiny cottage houses and “fairies” on the tree. Very cute.
The garden is not too big where you get lost like in the botanical garden, but it’s also not small, and it’s next to another garden called the treasure garden, so you can also check that out!
All in all, I love Fitzroy gardens.

Nestled amidst the bustling streets of Melbourne, Fitzroy Gardens was a delightful surprise. I wasn't expecting much from a city park, but stepping through the gates felt like entering another world. Lush greenery swallowed the noise of traffic, replaced by the melodic chirping of birds and the gentle gurgle of fountains.
The gardens themselves were a wonderland of manicured lawns, vibrant flower beds bursting with color, and these towering old elm trees that provided these cool, shady pockets. I spent ages wandering the paths, getting lost in the maze of hedges and stopping every few minutes to admire a particularly beautiful bloom or a quirky statue.
One of the highlights for me was Captain Cook's Cottage. Stepping inside that tiny house really transported me back in time. It's hard to imagine living in such a cramped space, but it definitely gave me a new appreciation for modern amenities! The Fairies Tree was another delightful discovery. All these little carved faces peeking out from the bark – it felt like something straight out of a fairytale.
Overall, Fitzroy Gardens was a lovely escape from the urban jungle. It's a place where you can relax, recharge, and appreciate a bit of history and beauty. Whether you're a local or a tourist, I highly recommend taking a break and exploring this little oasis in the heart of Melbourne.

Fitzroy Gardens is one of the best places to chill out close to central Melbourne. The lack of bikes makes it especially nice. You could wander the network of paths for hours, and there's a nice mix of wide open spaces and places to hide away for a while.

Lovely garden in Melbourne city! Highly recommended to have a walk and enjoy the view of it. There are some beautiful places inside of the garden as well.

Because it was the beginning of summer, there were plenty of leaves on the trees and it was convenient to walk around easily and comfortable.
The garden was very well maintained, organized and had a variety of flowers and plants.
I felt like I was somewhere in the East Asia like Japan or China.
As the Fitzroy Garden was so beautiful, I also saw newlyweds taking wedding photos.

Especially if you are an attempted influencer that lives in a shoebox with a dead plant in your bathroom.

This place is a serene oasis nestled in the heart of nature. The lush greenery feels like a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The park's scenic beauty, coupled with its amenities, make it an ideal spot for a leisurely stroll or a relaxing picnic. Whether you're a nature enthusiast or simply seeking tranquility.

Nice, big, spacious park filled with trees and plenty of shade and sunbathing spots. This park is vast and near public transport. Go to read a book under a tree, have a picnic with friends, or let your kid run around for hours. There’s a playground which is more suited for older small children (like age 5 and up), a couple of nice fountain, and lots of paths.

Brighton Beach is a well-liked seaside spot with public restrooms and parking facilities, adorned by eye-catching Victorian bathing boxes. A must-visit destination in Melbourne, the foreshore of Brighton Beach offers an ideal backdrop for picture-perfect moments. The 82 unique bathing boxes make the location iconic and representative of the city's culture. Visitors should ensure they explore this attraction before sunset to capture breathtaking photos of themselves that showcase their personality while featuring a matching box as a backdrop.
Beautiful beach with lovely and colorful small houses along the way. It is recommended to enjoy the white sand and tidal waves with your beloved ones.

I remember during lockdowns I used to regularly walk down to the beach and back but hadn't visited since then but literally going past so stopped to take some photos. And it was perfect say, sunny winters day, flat, calm beautiful blue water. Lots of parking along beach but need Bayside parking permit or else have to pay. And of course there's the tourist trap of the beach boxes.

Very peaceful and beautiful beach, I love the decoration of each house. You can get a very nice view of both the beach and the city skyline when you walk all the way to the end of the beach. The neighbourhood is lovely and there are lots of nice places to eat nearby.

It’s a beautiful beach for photo-taking and sightseeing in Melbourne! Those colorful cabins on the beach were awesome and some of them had nice designs and paintings on the walls. The only thing is that there was a big construction site next to the beach, which was a bit annoying. Hopefully we can see the whole beach area again soon!

It’s a great place to spend a good sunny day. We spent about 2-3 hours here which was amazing. We also had our lunch here when we had a minor disturbance from the birds but it’s no big deal. Kids loved the beach and wanted to spend more time in the water. There is a walking trail along the beach and a designated area for dogs to play. Thanks.

You can see the cute huts that Melbourne is famous for. There are a lot of tourists, so I don't recommend it if you want to relax. If you want to take photos, we recommend visiting during sunset.

A small but beautiful beach about around 45 minutes comfy train journey. And just 2 minutes walking distance from the train station. There are three tiny beaches here and what I saw was people were enjoying themselves with their family members, friends, etc. There was a small tourist market over there( local handmade goods are sold there)
One of the beaches has small colorful changing rooms are there which is one of the attractions of this beach.

We came in the hottest day on Dec 14. Beautiful beaches with unique decorated huts along the beach. You can take a nice picture la and the beach is clean and crowded. Lots of flies which I don’t really like. Nothing you can expect like food or drinks on sell there.. BYO!

Was not impressed. The travel to get here was not worth it. You travel almost an hour only to see mediocre houses painted with some random murals. The roads leading to this area is actually a lot better than the destination itself. In fact, the houses near this beach is much more impressive than the houses on this beach. Such a waste of time, it is better to go at Victoria National Museum or State Library if you want a better experience. Even better, just go straight to Great Ocean Road instead of wasting your time here.
Only the beach is its redeeming factor

This is the most unique beach I have ever seen in Australia. These colourful bathing boxes make the beach so special and beautiful. The Flinders Street Railway Station is a popular Melbourne tourist attraction that was opened in 1909. The station has an iconic yellow facade and is located close to the city centre. The station is home to a number of shops and restaurants, as well as being a stop on the public transport network.
Nice and clean place.
Stand beneath the clocks of Melbourne's iconic railway station, as tourists and Melburnians have done for generations. Take a train for outer-Melbourne explorations, join a tour to learn more about the history of the grand building, or go underneath the station to see the changing exhibitions that line Campbell Arcade.

One of Melbourne’s iconic must-sees. Flinders street is a clean station with lots of help and food options. The ballrooms above are beautiful (but not accessible unless for an exhibition or something). Across the road are many options for food and cafe’s. The Flinders Street Station is one of Melbourne's most iconic landmarks. Tourists and Melburnians alike have stood beneath the clocks of Melbourne's iconic central railway station for generations.
The station is located in the center of Melbourne, next to the Yarra River. The station was last renovated a few years ago.
From here, you can reach most places in Melbourne by public transportation. There are trains running throughout Melbourne. Just outside the station there are also multiple trams that pass by regularly. There are toilet facilities at the station as well.
St Paul's Cathedral provides a good view of the station.

The architecture of the building viewed from the outside is a reminder of its history and how long it has stood.

It famously became the very first steam rail station in all of Australia. Currently, Flinders Street railway station is located on the corner of Flinders and Swanston streets in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Opened in 1854, the historic station serves the entire electrified metropolitan rail network, as well as some country services to eastern Victoria. The station has 13 platforms and is approximately 1.25 kilometers from Southern cross station.

I do not really understand people giving this train station such a high reviews. From my perspective, it is a filthy, run-down train station (please see the pictures attached; my apology for the picture of a toilet, I intentionally did not took picture of the whole toilet showing how disgusting it was). Yes, the historical building is nice, however, maintenance and cleanliness is absolutely shocking.
Considering this is one of the busiest and the most famous train station in Melbourne, it is really a shame. The train station has been in renovation for at least 5 years, but I cannot see anything being done. Try to compare it to main train station in other cities, e.g. Singapore, Dubai, Tokyo, etc. It would like comparing Day and Night.

We've returned to Melbourne again to celebrate a friend's birthday.
Melbourne never lets us down.
There is so much on offer and activities to see and do.
It's such a short trip from Adelaide for us, so never an issue to come.
We did actually come here for the Moulin Rouge performance. Absolutely 💯 outstanding and the Regent Theatre just suited it down to a tee.
We went to the Melbourne Museum to see the Titanic Exhibition, it was spectacular.
We weren't let down with places to eat either, so much variety to choose from.
Thank you Victoria for giving us a great time away again.

They may have hard chairs made out of tiles but the variety of food shops makes sitting at them worth it. That's only downstairs near the rail station. There is wheelchair access to all areas and clean toilets spread throughout.

I loved the building in the shopping centre,we just entered and I saw it and was in shock. They also have an over sized clock that plays a show every hour and chimes every fifteen minutes.
