A peaceful morning visit, had a pleasant experience. Great view of town from 700 ft height temple.
Main Idol is clearly visible and devotees not rushed to move fast while compared to other similar temples.
Vehicle parking is not organized properly. Beware of monkeys, which will open bike's bag and do whatever they want.
Visit early in the morning to avoid much crowd.

Temple is nice, lovely and God is very powerful. But we need to talk here definitely about the worst, chaotic parking and drive towards the temple on weekends and auspicious days. They charge 30-50 rupees downhill for bikes and cars but there's nobody to manage traffic lane or parking area properly. Personally it wasted nearly 1 hour of our time to park vehicle and take it back and move downhill, such poor traffic management. People even started walking on hot road just to surpass traffic and reach temple. One more thing to be mentioned here is drinking water facility, fans etc. - you can't find any when u walk in queue to take Darshan of main deity. Broken waterlines, non working fans will test your patience. Carry enough drinking water when u move into the queue. Monkeys inside temple will definitely entertain you all when you enter temple premises.

This temple is located 3km from the Chennai-Chitoor highway. The approach road from the highway leads to narrow roads and crowded market place, the temple is located on a hill, the entrance has grand Arch and road leading to temple is in very good condition.
There is enough space to park more than 50-60 cars & + vehicles just below the temple about 50 steps.
On the upper parking area, there is space for 30+ cars.
Senior citizens or Family with infants can choose to park at the upper parking space.
Ther are 3 or 4 small eateries in the entrance that serve limited breakfast and coffee/Tea.
The temple is maintained well, almost all th3 places around the temple were neat and clean.
Had darshan of Lord Murugan, it was very pleasant and peaceful.
Temple has free Darshan and Rs 100 special darshan as well.
Special darshan would take approx 15-30 minutes after getting the tickets, free darshan would take about 60 mts for Darshan.
People visiting the temple, please check for timings as there is abhishekam in the morning and evening during this time there is no darshan for 60-90 minutes.
Anyone planning to visit with strict Timeline, please look for darshan timings before going. I have uploaded a pic for Darshan and Abhishekam timings, they are in Tamil.
Temple prasadham was very good.
There is a public toilet facility on the north east corner.

Checked off my list on the 6 houses of Murugan.
Beautifully decorated Murga who blessing is always sought.
Since it was public holiday and last adi amavasai , the crowd was super huge. the 100 rs ticket line wait time was 2 hrs.

Temple is neat and clean. Go early in the morning to avoid the crowd and traffic. We went through train and got down in Tirutani station and from there we took an auto for 200 for 4 adults and 2 child's. On the way to temple, it was huge traffic as lot of vehicles piled up to take right turn to go to the temple and there was a toll charge as well. Luckily auto driver overtaken all the vehicles to get in to the toll gate as it is free for autos. Post which we went to the top and took 100 rupees ticket, which took around 45 mins to 1 hour for Darshan. There are free darshan and higher denomination darshan as well. While returning back to Tirutani railway station, traffic in the hills was horrible and ridiculous. Vehicles coming in the wrong way and blocking the way for the vehicles coming down. Police people at this hot summer came down and cleared the traffic, salute to them and then the traffic was easing better. This took around 45 mins to clear the traffic and at last we reached the station at 12.20 pm. While taking the ticket, tirutani to Chennai local train entering the platform. Huge crowd were waiting for this train. After a bit of struggle we got seat and journey started back to chennai

Had divine darshan of Lord Subramanian. Easy access to the temple in the hillock by car. Neat and well maintained temple. Lots of monkeys near queue lines, but mostly they don't bother people. Roads in the town are narrow and congested.

Beautiful temple. I recommend climbing the stairs to get the real spiritual and Devine experience sharing with other devotees in the way. You will see other devotees fulfilling their prayers along the way. There are several shops enroute to leave your footwear behind and get some refreshments. There around 370 steps give or take a few.

The Arulmigu Subramaniya Swamy Temple has 365 steps indicating 365 days of the year.
It is fifth among the six abodes of Murugan (Arupadai Vidu).
After killing the asura Tarakasura in Tiruchendur, he came here to subside his anger, so Surasamharam is not conducted here.

Nowadays Queues are too quick even with General Darshan
Temple Management had done a good job
It would have been better , if we were allowed to see Lord Muruga little near sannidhi, that's my only concern.
Other than that nothing bad to say.

Temple Is Very Nice But Administration Is Not Well. Second Half Darsanam Timing Is 06.00 PM But They Allowed After 06.30 PM & So Many Unauthorised Vendors Selling In Que Lines Itself. Main Ghat Road Closed. Just Walkable Distance From Railway Station and Bus Stand...

Yes, the temple is neat and clean.
The temple committee has to keep instructions, sign boards, marking the way for senior citizens entry, physically challenged persons entry in all places starting from the car park/bus stop at the hill.
Temple management has to stop the house keepers, cleaning ladies inside/outside the temple asking money from the devotees.

🎉💐🌸🪷💮🏵️🌼🌲🌻🌺🌳Today, our entire family visited Thanigai Malai Murugan Subramanian, especially on this auspicious Tuesday. 👌🌀🪨💖🏵️Tiruttani holds significant spiritual power, being one of the six abodes of Lord Murugan. The temple is situated close to our hometown, Arakkonam.🌳🌺⭐🪻🏔️💖🎉✅☀️
This sacred place houses Lord Murugan, accompanied by Shri Devi Valli and Shri Devi Devasena. The serenity within the temple and throughout the hill is palpable. Tiruttani is the fifth among the six Arupadai Veedu of Lord Murugan, where he sought refuge to calm his anger after defeating Tarakasura in Tiruchendur.🙏🌟✨🪵🌷🍂🌀☔👌
The Thanigai Hills, accessed by 500 steps, boast a five-tiered main gopuram. The temple is meticulously maintained and offers essential facilities like bathrooms and toilets. Notably, it observes a grand celebration during Kiruthigai, especially during Thai Aadi and Thai Kiruthigai.🌀🏔️🌺👌💞🌈🌊👍☔💞
Operating from 6 AM to 8:45 PM, the temple has a break for Abhishega between 8 AM and 9 AM. It stands out as one of the well-maintained temples in the vicinity.🎉💐🪷💮🏵️🏵️🌊🌲🌻🌳👍⭐🌺

Vinayaka Temple or Sri Varasidhi Vinayaka Swamy Temple is a Hindu temple of Ganesha. It is located at Kanipakam in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh, India. The temple is about 11 km from Chittoor and 68 km from Tirupati.
According to legend, there were three brothers who were mute, deaf and blind. They were digging a well to fetch water to their field. The device they were using fell into the well hitting hard object. When they dug further, blood started to gush out of the well and the three got rid of their disabilities. The villagers rushed to the spot and found the deity of Ganesha. Villagers dug further, but they were not able to find the base of the deity. The deity sits in the well which is always full of water.
Vinayaka is the presiding deity of the temple. As per legend, it is believed that the deity is Svayambhu(Self-manifested). The deity is always seen in the well, full of water.
A very well maintained temple. Now renovation work is in progress , which is scheduled to be completed by Aug'22 before Ganesh Chaturthi festival.

Kanipakam Vinayaka temple, Chittoor Overview
Chittoor is a district laden with famous temples, one of them being the Kanipakkam Vinayaka Temple. The temple was ideated and constructed in the 11th century CE by Kulothunga Chola I, a revered Chola king. It was then rebuilt in 1336 by the Vijayanagara rulers.
What makes the Kanipakam temple unique is the fables and legends associated with it! It is reported that the idol of Vinayaka grows every year; The armour offered to the deity 50 years ago does not fit anymore!
This historical temple with Ganesha as its primary deity is also known as Shrine of Water and is in Irala Mandal of Chittoor district. The regal Kanipakam temple has immense religious significance and importance because of its miraculous idol. The water found in the complex is believed to be holy and can cure various deformities

Vinoth — Google review
About a 1000 years ago, there lived three physically-disabled brothers. While one of the brothers was blind, the other was dumb and the third was deaf. They earned their modest living by cultivating a small piece of land close to Viharapuri village.
On a certain day, when one of the brothers was irrigating the land via different channels, the other two were drawing the water from a well using the Piccota System. During the task, to their utter dismay, they discovered that the water of the well had dried up. One of the brothers got down the well and began digging its bed with an iron spade. Soon after commencing this job, he was awe-struck to realise that his spade has been floundering about in the waters and hitting a stone-like object underneath.
When the brothers saw blood oozing out from the stone formation, they were astounded to behold the miracle. In no time, the blood mixed with the entire water in the well in such a way that there was no difference between the two. Meanwhile, the brothers got blessed by the divine sight and got rid of their former physical defects. When the news of these events reached the ears of the villagers, they rushed towards the well and tried hard to deepen the well. Their endeavour, however, bore no fruit because a self-manifested idol of Lord Ganesha showed itself to them
Stunned beyond words with the divine revelation, the villagers offered loads of coconuts and other love offerings to the self-manifested idol, along with their humble prayers. The coconut water started flowing into a stream, to a distance of more than one and a quarter acres. This phenomenon led to the coinage of the word “Kanipakam” where "Kani" means wetland and "Pakam" means flow of water into wetland.
Till this day, the idol lies in its original place, that is, in the well from beneath it had sprung. The waters of the holy well never dry up, thus signifying the immortality of the Divine Power. In the monsoons, the well overflows with the sanctified water, and it is offered to the devotees as theertham.
An Incredible Fact is that , the Lord Vinayak of Kanipakam is that the idol is reportedly growing in size with the passage of time. Currently, only the knees and abdomen of the idol are visible. The testimony to the fact is the silver kavacham (armour) offered to the idol by one of the ardent devotees about fifty years ago, which does not fit the idol today!
Several people have been visiting the temple since a long time to resolve mutual strife by taking a dip in the sacred waters of the temple tank and swear before the idol of the deity. There have been cases when the sinner accepts his faults immediately after taking the holy dip and even before stepping into the “court of justice” or the inner chambers of the temple. Such is the power of Sri Varasiddhi Vinayaka and his glory is worthy of being sung in every corner of the globe.
Another interesting aspect of Kanipakam is the Bahuda River, which flows near the Sri Varsiddhi Vinayaka Temple. Long ago, as a story goes, there were two brothers Sankha and Likhita. One day, they started for a pilgrimage to Kanipakam. Due to the arduous journey, Likhita gave in to hunger. He ignored the advice of his elder sibling and plucked a mango for his meal from the nearby mangrove without the permission of its owner. Duty-bound to tell the truth, Sankha reported the issue to the king of that place and asked for a punishment befitting Likhita’s sin committed during the pilgrimage. The ruler chopped off both the arms of Likhita as a punishment. When the two brothers reached Kanipakam and took a dip in its sacred waters an amazing miracle happened. To the astonishment of two brothers, the chopped arms of Likhita were restored. Soon after this incident, the ruler of that place named the river as Bahuda (“Bahu” means arms and “Da” means giver)

I was introduced to this temple recently via social media and then decided that i want to visit the place.
Drove down from Bangalore. Since it was quite hit, we started by afternoon and reached the temple at around 4:30pm. As oer i ter et, the temple is open full day. However, on reaching the place, I found that that's not the case. There are various sevas that happen, and a limited set of tickets are issued. We just mussed the abhishekam slot as only 30 tkts are issued for it(and wearing dhoti is mandatory). However, I got the tkts for the next seva, which was arathi. Got to sit almost at the front and witnessed the 20 minutes aarti. It was simply serene, calm, and too blissful. I felt such peace and serenity sitting in front of the Lord.
It was a wonderful darshan that i got. i came out as an extremely happy person. 😊 the prasad given was yummy to eat and there are small temples around the main temple.
Note: mobiles not allowed inside the temple. There is a counter you can deposit it at.

The first time i visited Kanipakam sidhi Vinayaka temple. This is a pleasant place where we can see swayambhu Varasidhi Vinayaka idol.
Bus transport is available from Tirupati for every 15-20 mins. We can reach between 1 hr 15 mins to 1 hr 45 mins.
Devasthanam facilitated free toilet and fresh up to devotees. But there is no proper maintenance because of this Toilet looking not good.
3 types of Darshnam are there mainly. Free, Seerga Darshanam ( 100/- ) , Athi Sirga Darshnam ( 150/-) and a few more.
Devasthnam gives accommodation also. Ganesh Sadan, Vinayak sadan are two there. Charging 336/- with incl all taxes plus advance 336/- with incl all taxes per day.
Providing free food to Devotees as same as Tirumala ( Uchitha Anna Dhaanam ) .
There are 2 temples beside this Varasidhi Vinayaka Temple. Manikanteswara swamy Temple(Lord Shiva), Varada Raja swamy Temple ( Lord Venkateswara). Here we can see the beautiful idols of Vinayaka, Kumara swamy, Shiva, Parvathi .
There are many shops available near temple. Mainly the shoes keeper/chappals keeper is charging 7/- per pair. Luggage counter charging 20/- per bag. Coconuts (small size) charging 30/-
A small request to Temple management , please provide sometime while devotees came for swamy (Vinayaka) darashanam. Don't ask them to leave quickly. Especially those who took the athi Seerga Darshanam ticket, Security asked them to move quickly, because of this devotees were unable to see swamy clearly. Because the swamy idol is very far from where devotees stand. Maximum space you're occupied for some other activity( Puja).

Also please don't miss seeing Siva and perumal temple near by.

Famous and ancient temple located around 12 kilometers from the chittoor town. It is believed that Lord Ganesha's idol here gradually grows in size every year. Don't miss it if you are into temples and stuff.
The place might be crowded during holidays, festivals which will eventually increase the time of Darshan.
Additionally when you visit the temple, you should definitely try Masala Soda and Bhel Masala available within the temple surroundings, They are tasty 🤤😍

Jalakanteswarar Temple, Vellore is a 16th-century Hindu temple displaying classic Vijayanagaram architecture. The temple features an intricately carved tower and hosts beautiful classical dance programs. The campus is quite large with a green environment ideal for walking and running. Visitors can enjoy spending time in the park, although some cleaning work is required as people tend to throw plastic waste there.
Good Temple with superb infrastructure. There are so many good vibrations and environments .
But the maintenance is not enough because the mandabam around the temple are not clean well.

Green environment. Very good place for walking and running. Inside police recruitment school is there. Enjoy time in park. Little cleaning work is required in campus. People throw plastic waste in park. It should be avoided to maintain the park. Park development work is also going on. Love to visit here.

Actually, I haven't any plan to go there. Once afternoon I just walking across the road and saw that a long green playground. In the meantime, I found entrance gate to viewing the whole place and getting entered for visiting the place. Walking by walking I got a big pyramid type sculpture so I was surprised to see the place. Most interesting point is when I entered the place and then discovered that it was a Temple. Before visiting the inner place I didn't know even what is the building about that.
The entire place was neat and clean as well as the tree was gigantic and too old. Front place was so attractive and greenery views which I liked too much.

About 400 years old, the temple is good. This is located inside the Fort area. However you must plan to visit in the morning or evening hours during the sunny days. Otherwise you will end up facing the heat. Temples, Museum and the Fort visits can be clubbed together.

This temple is just like many temples in South India which purely reflects the Dravidian Architecture. The Vimana type of entrance (Gopuram) is bigger enough.
The locality also matters for this temple. Close to the temple is the vellore fort. If you are planning for a trip here dedicate half an hour to this temple and thats enough. If somebody does have the habit of meditating, then you can be really comfortable here.
Even during the noon, it wl be cooler inside this temple structure as its completely made up of rocks.
Forget not, to watch the encravings on the walls and the fishes in the pond.

I recently had the opportunity to visit the Jaliandeshwar Temple located within the historical Vellore Fort, and the experience was truly captivating. This ancient temple, with its intricate architecture and rich history, left a lasting impression on me.
The Jaliandeshwar Temple is a stunning example of Dravidian architecture, characterized by its intricate carvings and ornate design. As I entered the temple complex, I was immediately struck by the impressive gopuram (gateway tower) that greeted me. The temple's exterior is adorned with beautifully carved sculptures and figures that tell stories of Hindu mythology.
What makes this temple truly unique is the presence of a massive, monolithic lingam, a representation of Lord Shiva, which is one of the largest in India. The sheer size of the lingam is awe-inspiring and adds to the spiritual ambiance of the temple.
Inside the temple, I was immersed in a sense of serenity and devotion. The atmosphere was peaceful, and the intricate artwork on the pillars and ceilings showcased the craftsmanship of the artisans of the past.
What sets the Jaliandeshwar Temple apart is the fact that it is situated within the Vellore Fort, a historical fortress with a rich past. Exploring the fort itself was a fascinating experience, and the temple was a jewel within this historic complex.
Overall, the Jaliandeshwar Temple in Vellore Fort is a must-visit for travelers interested in history, culture, and spirituality. Its architectural beauty and the serene atmosphere make it a truly remarkable destination for anyone exploring the region. Whether you're a devotee or a history enthusiast, this temple offers a unique and enriching experience that should not be missed.

Jalakandeswarar Temple is located in the city of Vellore, precisely within Vellore Fort. It is a Hindu place of worship in honour of Lord Shiva, who also goes by the name of Lord Jalakandeswarar. The temple is a magnificent representation of grand Vijayanagaram Architecture. Besides, one may also observe detailed sculptures dedicated to other Hindu deities such as Lord Vishnu, Goddess Mahalakshmi, Goddess Parvati, Lord Brahma, and Goddess Saraswathi.
The Jalakandeswarar Temple is a highly regarded landmark highlighting the architectural skill of ancient times, while showcasing the significance of special traditions upheld by the Hindu community, which invoke feelings of peace and a connection to the divine. A visit to this site is a delight for devotees, historians, and those who appreciate authentic art.

The amazing Architecture, mesmerizing statues , The way it stands till today like a true champion of champions. One has to feel the walls and take the same path our kings and queen where once roam around to offer prayers, from the massive ,gigantic,Huge - entrance door to the covered- well, the pillars , well kept corridors, the huge walls protecting them from all possible dangers simply amazing . The peace you get once you sit down and enjoy the time of being in the moment . My family visited here in the evening time perfect time to move around and explore the fort too.

Vellore Fort, Fort Round Rd, Balaji Nagar, Vellore, Tamil Nadu 632004, India
The Vellore Fort, established during the 16th century, was once the stronghold of the Aravidu Dynasty. Encircled by water bodies and fortified walls, this over four-century-old fortress houses various government offices along with a mosque and a famous Jalagandeeswara temple within its premises. Additionally, an archaeological museum is present in the fort which closes by 5 pm.
The fort is looking good and is very spacious , surrounded by water bodies , over 4 centuries old .
There are many government offices inside the fort , there is an archaeological museum which closes by 5 pm and hence we could not visit , We visited the famous Jalagandeeswara temple inside the fort which is good . There is also a mosque inside the fort .
This could have been very easily developed into a huge tourist attraction , but the government seem to have not thought in those lines .
Maintenance is not very good...

If you're looking for a historical site to visit, you might want to skip the fort. It's pretty old and run-down, and there's not much to see there. The temple, on the other hand, is a nice attraction. It has some beautiful architecture and a peaceful atmosphere. You can spend some time there and enjoy the view. Museum will be closed on Government holidays & Sunday.

Best sightseeing is wall & moats (water surrounded next to the wall) and another one is temple. Temple is good, well maintained. Currently police occupied this fort, kind of police parade ground and quarters. Museum is closed when I visited here, so no words on that. We need minimum two hours to spend here.
To management:
If moats is maintained with fresh water that will be good to see. And also, if big colour fishes are in moats people can excite. Please see foreign countries, how they are maintaining there. Our country is best ever if we maintained properly, thank you

The place is closed for public right now. I visited the place on February 16 2022 and the place was closed due to covid they said. But all public are visiting the place by climbing in and jumping into a secret entrance.
The place was very good. You have to walk a lot to explore the place. It has a rich ancient arcitecture. The fort is surrounded by water all sides.
No use in keeping the place closed when this much of people can climb and get in to the fort.

Fort is worth seeing due to many sights inside & outside its walls.
Easily reachable due to its closeness to CMC Main Hospital & Old Bus Stand.
Outside the walls, there is a moat. Vellore fort park is there too.
Inside the walls, there is a beautiful and busy temple. When one walks more, one can see an old silent church, a mosque that remains closed, a nice museum to explore and a few banyan trees with very huge trunks and aerial roots.
Lots of people can be seen in and around the fort, spending time leisurely. Sitting in the shades of the trees of Vellore Fort Park outside the walls, can be a really nice experience.
As such no unclean things there, but even today (Feb 2022) people threw plastic bottles in the moat water. That was a painful sight to bear.
Must visit place for anyone.

Fort design is just okay not much attractive like I have experienced others.
The wall compound of this fort is covered 3 kilometres in the square shape and from outside the big creek made for self defence(Not easy to win the fort) and also rain water storage system.
To explore the fort is free of cost but inside there is a Government museum and a beautiful temple inside which will sizzle you by its architecture.

Very nice place with a great historical essence. There is also a very beautiful temple. We have visited this place in the month of July.
Short history:
The Fort was built by the ruler Bommu Nayakar and his brother during 1526-1595 AD. The First Mutiny against the British in India broke out in Vellore Fort (1806 – Sippoy Kalagam). The fort was taken by the British in 1760 and used as a military garrison. The fort contains both secular and religious structures.

Vellore Fort may lack historical charm, but its Jalakandeswarar temple steals the spotlight with its stunning architecture and tranquil ambiance. The Sri Lakshmi Narayani Golden Temple is a magnificent shrine located within the Thirupuram spiritual park in Tamil Nadu, India. The temple boasts an ornate gold-covered structure surrounded by beautiful gardens and a star-shaped path. Positioned at the foot of green hills in Thirumalaikodi, it's easily accessible from major cities like Tirupati, Chennai, Pondicherry and Bengaluru.
Golden Temple Vellore complex inside the Thirupuram spiritual park is situated at the foot of a small range of green hills at Thirumalaikodi (or simply Malaikodi) Vellore in Tamil Nadu, India. It is 120 km from Tirupati, 145 km from Chennai, 160 km from Pondicherry and 200 km from Bengaluru. The Maha Kumbhabhishekam or consecration of the temple and its chief deity, Sri Lakshmi Narayani or Maha Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth, was held on 24 August 2007, and devotees from all religions and backgrounds are welcome to visit.
The salient feature of 'Thirupuram' is the Lakshmi Narayani temple whose Vimanam and Ardha Mandapam is covered with pure gold, housing the deity Sri Lakshmi Narayani (female consort/wife of Vishnu Narayana). The temple is located on 100 acres of land and has been constructed by the Vellore-based charitable trust, Sri Narayani Peedam, headed by its spiritual leader Sri Sakthi Amma also known as 'Narayani Amma'.
The temple with its gold covering, has intricate work done by artisans specialising in temple art using gold. Every single detail was manually created, including converting the gold bars into gold foils and then mounting the foils on copper. Gold foil from 9 layers to 10 layers has been mounted on the etched copper plates. Every single detail in the temple art has significance from the Vedas.[1]
Sripuram's design features a star-shaped path (Sri chakra), positioned in the middle of the lush green landscape, with a length of over 1.8 km. As one walks along this 'starpath' to reach the temple in the middle, one can also read various spiritual messages -- such as the gift of the human birth itself, and the value of spirituality -- along the way.

Top destination to visit... Avoid purchasing a ticket for 100 rupees; it is preferable to go through the regular line. As both require the same amount of time... It's best to go in general line; the entire process takes one hour. since almost the entire temple must be walked in 45 minutes. However, it feels good... Large audience at the conclusion. The site has been a place of worship since ancient times, with some parts dating back to the 9th century. The temple features six sculpted towers that reach up to 217-feet high and several shrines.
This is one of the most important temples in South India. It is a very powerful temple. The temple is one of the Pancha Bhuta asthan, for the Fire Element.
We visited the Temple last week, though it is showing as Temporary Closed in Google Map.
The Gopurams or the towers are truly magnificent with the main tower, Raja Gopuram beingbover 200 feet tall with many floors.

An absolute must visit temple for its magnificent architecture, beauty of sculpture, and sheer size of the entire complex! History buffs, art lovers would thoroughly enjoy the temple.
Note: They have a special Rs.50 ticket, as much as this is quick to go to the sanctum sanctorum the passage is like a caged corridor. You may want to think twice before doing this. Not managed well at all by the temple authorities.

I can surely assure that this place had a amazing environment in inside the temple and you can witness 9 gopura's and they will look amazing to watch and also so many of us carry lot of emotions with full of devotion to pray the god. so we need the environment should be pleasant and neat but out side of the temple people are forgetting that this place is carrying so much of history and also become the landmark of holy place but outside of the temple there is no hygiene and people are ruined it's surroundings apart from this you will definitely feel stunned with infrastructure and devotees

Adi Arunasaleswarar Temple is a hidden gem that exudes tranquility and ancient charm. Nestled away from the bustling crowds, this temple offers a peaceful haven for spiritual seekers. The unique architecture and intricate carvings reflect the rich cultural and historical significance of the site. Devotees are drawn to the divine energy during the daily rituals and pujas. The temple's surroundings are well-maintained, contributing to a serene atmosphere conducive to introspection. While it may not be as widely known as some larger temples, Adi Arunasaleswarar Temple captivates with its simplicity, making it an ideal retreat for those seeking a quieter and deeply spiritual experience.

One of the biggest and famous temples in South India in Tamilnadu state. Great architecture and finish. Still after hundreds of years, the temple shines. Place is divine. The presiding god here is Shankar in the form of Lord Arunalachaleshwara. You will get two types of lines, general and special. Special line ticket cost is 20 per person. You do not need to find a counter for buying this ticket, just be in the queue and you will get it on the way to Darshan. I did not find any shoe stall, but there are people sitting and keeping your shoes at a cost. 5/- per pair. Parking is available beside the temple, big space but may be crowded. Inside temple you can buy Laddos. Due to Corona, barricading has been done, but you can get out of the barricaded queue and roam inside the temple little bit. Mask and distancing are followed on paper but not in reality. But that's okay. Om Namah Shivay.

A must visit place for the god worshippers. It's one of the very oldest temples in Tamilnadu. Inside the temple there is a separate place to maintain the cows (kosala). Couple of ponds are available in the temple. It is a very wide area and the maintenance is good. I like it very much. Parking is not a major challenge here, but during festivals and other important days - it will be like a nightmare.

Good temple with lot many interesting places inside. Regular days very less people then you can see all inside the temple.
Full moon day heavy rush it will take 6+ hours in free and 4+ hrs in paid (50)

One of the pancha bhootha sthalam this temple is dedicated for Agni or Fire 🔥. I am really blessed to visit this temple multiple times. Girivalam is one of the most important things done by the people. Devotees walk 14kms round the mountain 🏔️. Karthiga Deepam is one of the major event happens in this temple and lakhs together people come over to witness the Maha Deepam.

The place is quiet wonderful. The massive scale of this temple complex is jaw dropping. It can't be explained in words rather need to experience. The area on which it is spread it's huge. The amenities here such as prasadam, washroom were neat and clean and well maintained for devotees. Definitely recommended.

Visiting the Arunachaleswarar Temple in Thiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu, is a must for its spiritual significance and architectural grandeur. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, the temple is associated with the sacred Arunachala hill. Pilgrims and seekers visit to experience the powerful spiritual vibrations, participate in religious rituals, and witness the cultural richness of the region. The temple's historical importance and serene ambiance make it a compelling destination for those seeking both cultural and spiritual exploration.

Beautiful and amazing temple. After a long wait I got the chance to visit the temple. Really mesmerized with the huge temple entrances and it's amazing architecture. Very well maintained one of the brilliant temples of Tamil Nadu. I had the opportunity to have the free food also and loved it.

Beautiful & majestic temple of lord shiva against the backdrop of the hill! Worth visiting.
However crowd management is not up to the mark as people are breaking the queue.
Also with rainfall there was gushing water mixed with sewage water through the temple. Temple administrators should look into this & try to maintain cleanliness .

I visited this temple on some ekadashi. So there was heavy crowd. So I waited for 6 hours to enter temple. I thought I would faint out. And after entering half temple they charged 50 rupees for entrance ticket. I don't know why. I thought it's free darshan. I ate no tiffin or drank single drop of water in the morning before visiting this temple. And rooms , lodges surrounding this temple were all full. They were asking 3 days package which was 15000 rupees. People also do giri pradakshina here around the mountain. So they do it for 3 days. So that's why rooms , lodges say it's 3 days package. So please I suggest people not to visit this temple on ekadashi Karthika pournami or any other Shiva festivals. You will definitely not get room and also get tired if you are old aged person. Otherwise bring water bottle with you. They allowed mobiles inside temple. But no photography allowed inside temple. It was raining when i visited this temple. So I could not take photos of myself more. So it's better to visit this temple in summer season without having any of Shiva festivals. So darshan will be easy. And the fog in the morning on the mountain was awesome. Visit in the early morning. You will get beautiful photos. There will be 4 big gopuras surrounding this gopura where arunachaleshwarar linga is located at the center of 4 gopuras. Jeans , shirts etc all type of clothes are allowed inside temple. No objections for dress. And it's difficult to get lodge or room for single person here. I walked for 1 hour to get a single room for me. Every one was saying 2000 rupees for 1 room. I don't know why. Atlast I got room for 1400 rupees. That too very worst room.

Very nice Hindu temple architecture. Free entry all (including foreigners) and 50rps if you want to go to the darshan. The interior complex of the temple is not that well maintained unfortunately.

Giri pradakshina was soo awsome and cant have words to express the devotional emotions. Everytime giri pradakshina was so wonderful if u done while listening to shiva songs. When pournami day it will be difficult for darsanam. But if u done before giri darsanam day i.e pornami,it is easy.

Thiruvannamalai Temple's serene ambiance captivated me during my spiritual pilgrimage. Though I didn't partake in rituals, the atmosphere was profoundly peaceful. Facilities were satisfactory. A must-visit for seekers of inner peace.

This temple is one of the country's renowned temples where Lord Shiva is worshipped in the form of Agni or fire, one of the five elements. A large temple with great architecture, this temple attracts a large number of devotees throughout the year. Devotees go around the Annamalai hill every full moon day. The temple crowd management is pathetic. It's too commercial as only if you tip the priests you are assured of a decent darshan. Overall a divine experience !

This is the best temple i had visited in my life . I have experienced a lot of energy in my body after the darshan. Even the people in the temple are very helpful in guiding us . I is also a best place fir taking pictures or to see architecture, or to have a peaceful time. I suggest to visit in the early hours of the day as day progresses the rush increases. I would also suggest devotees who are willing to do girivalam start in the morning or evening as afternoon sun is very harsh. This temple also has many interesing facts and history. I again and again suggest to vist and have darshan of Arunachaleswar Swamy
Sri Amogh Yalavarthi — Google review
Arunachalam Sri Annamalaiyar swamy is considered to be the most pure and natural incarnation of Lord Shiva and the entire place is filled with murals, monks, idols resembling the Hinduism and its history over centuries.
The uniqueness here is that not only the idol is prayed to but the entire mountain here is felt to have the presence of Lord Shiva.
Mountain here is called Arunachalam which Aruna (Red/fire) + Achalam (still/mountain). This legend came from a story where Lord shiva appears as a Wall of fire and asks Lord Vishnu and Brahma to find the start and end of him which they couldn’t and then they realize that there is not start and end. They ask him to stay there and that’s how the Arunachalam mountain came into existence.
Temple complex is mostly crowded but doesn’t take more than 2 hours during any time of the year except for the Karthika Maasam and the architecture here is mind blowing with huge doors and gopurams.
Pilgrims circumambulate the entire mountain barefoot which is around 14 km and takes around 4-5 hours to complete.

Yelagiri, a charming hill station in Tamil Nadu, is a popular destination for a quick weekend getaway. This quaint town offers stunning views from the Velavan Temple and the Jalagamparai Waterfalls, where visitors can enjoy swimming and picnicking. The area also features a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and the picturesque Punganur Lake with its adjacent Nature Park, complete with gardens and an aquarium housing various aquatic creatures.
Shri Kotilingeshwara Swamy Temple, established in 1980, is a remarkable Hindu complex featuring over 1,000 shiva lingas, with one towering at an impressive height of 33 meters. The temple offers a unique and awe-inspiring ambiance with its extensive collection of shiva lingas.
Very beautiful temple. Well maintained. Only 20/- for entry. You can buy offerings from outside stalls. Please carry lots of change as you need to put dakshina in all of them(you can skip that too). The tallest linga looks very beautiful. You will get tired clicking pictures. Very scenic. A great day outing with family and friends. Roads are good. Try to leave early as it gets very sunny as the day passes. Not many restaurants near the temple but you can find many in the NH75.Definitely recommend.

The place is good if you wish to go with family and friends. Male sure that you are following Google roads correctly since there is high chances of getting deviated. Once the line starts you will have to visit all small temples inside it. Entry fee is 20 rupees, so there is no issue with it. There are many places nearby so plan correctly so that you can cover many places.

A very beautiful place to visit. Please note that it takes a minimum of 3-4 hours to completely see the huge temple. There are three main temples inside where you will find a queue. 3. Entry fees of 20₹.

5. Ensure to take umbrellas with you, incase it rains.

Good weekend gateway near Bangalore. Paid Parking is available. 20 rs entry fees to get inside the temple. Well maintained place.
But the place is too much commercialized. Priests won't allow you to do Puja or offerings without huge money. Every temple you go inside its all same. Dint like this sort of approach.
Apart from that it's all good here. You can take photos and spend some time.
Restrooms, small eateries, shops selling statues are there.

Amazing temple. With its world's largest shiv ling as also a grand collection of shiv lings gives this place an out of the world ambience. Gets crowded on a Sunday amd the wait time to enter could be 20 miniutes to half and hour. 20/- Rs. entry fee. One goes though a barriced walk to reach the end of the passage which makes you enter 3 small temples before you finally reach the maha shiv ling. On the Sunday we went, the route become very crowded and going through each temple becomes a bit suffocating. No option to avoid the temples unless you jump the barricades. But once you reach the maha shiv ling area, all the efforts feel rewarded.

The place is good. We need to buy a ticket before entering. Idols of God is very nice but they ask for money at various places inside the temple, this will not make it divine, it feels as business. Because of this we don't feel as a temple of peace.

The place is so pure and pious that you will devotee yourself to the God. The temple is situated in Kolar and I would personally suggest that the best time to visit is early morning. Due to covid, less number of people visit the temple and you get enough time to meditate there.
The temple has one of the largest shivling in Asia ( please check uploaded pictures) along with Nandi🙏. The priests perform Avishek pooja on your behalf and that's one of the best experience you can have.
The entry fee is just Rs 20/- and you are allowed to bring cameras but taking pictures of the gods is not allowed. You can take pictures of the 90 lac shivlings though.

Nilavoor Lake, a serene water body located in India, is a picturesque destination that attracts visitors with its natural beauty. The crystal-clear waters of the lake reflect the surrounding landscape, creating a stunning sight. It is a temple pond, very quiet and serene as it is off the beaten track. One can spend a lot of peaceful time there in the lap of nature.

Grange Adventure activities were enjoyed thoroughly by the kids. Though some of the activities were not available, the kids enjoyed the Rope course, Zip line and Archery. To use the ATV (The All Terrain Vehicle) we were asked to drive in our car, to a place short distance away from the Grange Resort, which was unacceptable. The overall maintenance of the resort and the upkeep of the equipment needs a immediate look into. The equipment looked unimpressive, rusty and old. The charges are ok. The staff seemed experienced to handle any eventuality. There was a very dirty pond with filthy water, abandoned and another dirty pond with unused boats. But for this poor maintenance and upkeep, it deserves better score than 3 stars.

Aagaya Gangai water falls
Waterfall
Nature & Parks
Amazing waterfall 👌 located in Kolli Hills, of the eastern ghats, Tamil Nadu originating from river Aiyaru.
Water falls from 300ft of height and its an amazing view🤩
Opening time 7am - 3 pm👈
Need to climb down 1200 + steps to reach falls.
Approx 30 minutes to climb down and 1hr + to climb up 😇
The view of the falls and the experience is worth all the pain👍
The water falls on rocks/ pond like place. We have to pass a 50 feet long stream (max 5feet deep) to reach the falls. A rope is tied leading people through the pond towards the waterfalls for safety.
Carry waterbottle and snacks. You may require refreshment while coming back.
Jithin Nair G — Google review
There are around 3000 stairs to go down. Going to the falls is easy but returning would be a task. It's recommended to carry water bottles.
Exploring India — Google review
Guys, you got to climb and get down a lot of stairs. 1200 steps totally might seem easy on numbers but it’s steep, gonna be tiring. Takes around 30mins up and 20mins down. Definitely worth the journey, water was decent, towards the lesser side only yet the height from which it falls makes it serene. For sure gonna be amazing with more water. Do carry bottle and i wish the place could be maintained, more people=more dirt snd plastics. There is a temple as well with ample parking ourside. 60 bucks charged for parking.
Rishabh DA — Google review
It's a beautiful falls. Good to take a bath. But there is no rest rooms and dressing rooms down there. It's very to walk 1300 steps down. U can bring water bottle down there with govt sticker. U can not carry any carry bags.

Actually the waterfalls beat the hell out Me 🤣
(On a funny note).
Actually it is one the best waterfalls in Tamil Nadu. Enjoyed a lot.
But U have to climb down and up nearly 1600 to 1800 steps round trip 😥😥😥 , but worth it😍😍😍
Jithesh R — Google review
Best place to visit in kolli hills. Approx it is 18 km from 70/70 hair pin bend. In route u will find lots of spice shop, where u can find spices at very cheap rate. Ample amount of parking(₹ 60 for car) space available near water fall. Entry for water fall is ₹30 for adults and ₹20 for child. To reach waterfall u have to step down approx 1500 risers. But this much exercise is worth the view. Carry 1 set of clothes to take bath in fall. Childrens and women can't go to exact fall point as water is deep in the way. Water falling intensity is that u can feel the little pain on your body. Ladies and children can bath nearby fall. Change room is there for ladies. Great place enjoy folks.

Around 1200 steps are there, starting u have to go downstairs. One need to buy ticket. It closes at 3pm.

Wonderful location, great scenic view. This is a must visit location in Kolli hills. You have to claim down 1200 steps to reach the falls, so definitely not recommended for elderly people and for those who has knee problems. Part of the path way is steep down with height steps. Otherwise the steps are constructed properly and hand rails provided for safety.

Agaya Gangai waterfalls are located in Kolli Hills of the Eastern Ghats, in India. Panchanathi, a jungle stream, cascades down as the Agaya Gangai, near Arapaleeswarar temple atop the Kolli Hills in Namakkal district, Tamil Nadu. It is a 300 feet waterfall of the river Aiyaru. It is located in a mountain valley. Since its in summer. The flow of water is little less.. But when step in to the water we feel the chillness and when we reach near the falling spot. Be make sure of taking antibiotics after that. The force of water bit higher. Once it touches our body.. You will start feeling the pain.. Its one of the most underrated spot in tamilnadu 😁😁
Manjunath Vichu — Google review
One of the best explorer in life, has to go through more than 1000 staircase steps, very delightful place when you reach after the strain from staircase.
Lot of unshaped rocks will be there near falls, you've to be very careful while moving around.
Sathiaseelan T — Google review
This is just osum. Good place to visit.
The journey to reach this falls is good trekking experience. You will feel motivated, wondered and also exhausted at sometimes 😄
People who can't walk much due to illness, health issues or age, please avoid as we need to walk in steps for a Kilo Meter and steps are quite big at some point and quite perpendicular.
Kalai Arasan — Google review
Good place to visit and though for elders. But in general manageble for people who are active. There a string attached to get near to the waterfalls and metal bars to hold. It comes with its own risk so need to be careful while going to the fall. 600 steps to waterfall and climb back another 600 to top, so be ready for it.
Thamaraiselvan G — Google review
Best way to enjoy the nature, though it has 1196 steps to reach this place. The moment you see the falls you will forget everything and the energy you get around will blow your heart.
Best time to visit during weekdays less crowd and you can spend more time
Adhidhya Kugan — Google review
Overall experience 8/10.
The falls is really awesome one but better visit during the rainy season as it would be been more filled with water.
One can stand under the falls and experience much more. They have put a rope so that you can go and stand under the falling water.
No washrooms or dress changing rooms available for anyone.
The most biggest drawback is the pathway to reach the falls.
If you are not used to walking for long distances then DO NOT opt for this at all.
There are 1196 stairs. First one needs to climb down and it is very very steep and then reach the falls later climb back as well. Since we climb down first your legs would hurt badly after that , I have a muscle catch and my legs became stiff. Very painful the next day as well.
Entry ticket 30/adult and 20/child.
No carrying water bottles and if you are carrying they will add a sticker and take 10 6 and then refund the same once you show them the bottle while exit .
Timings are from 6am to 3pm only after that not allowed inside as it might get dangerous.
Overall ok if you exercise regularly or walk then you would love it
Best time to visit monsoon or raining.
Time duration takes almost one hour for one side.
Priyanka Venkatswamy — Google review
One of the best waterfalls in Tamil Nadu dripping from a height of 300 feet , one has to trek down about 1300 steps to reach the waterfall .
There are changing rooms for ladies at the foothill of the waterfalls.

The best place to relax is that you will have a lifetime experience. Not recommended for elders aged people
Getting a water bottle will help you in return.
The price of the ticket is 30 per adult.

I'm stunned with the view of Aagaya Gangai. Must visit place for Travel lovers also with the nature this place is blessed one. But on think is no safety cautions are there. Lots of peoples getting bleeding when the bath on this water falls. Be carefull on bath.

Well....this spot is amazing.... We need to climb down to get here....it has got around approx 1100 steps..... climbing down is fine but climbing up is a task.... Arapaleeswarar temple, Kolli Malai, is a Siva temple in Kolli Hills in Namakkal District, Tamilnadu. 5km far from Kolli Town.
The temple is open from 7.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. and 2.30 p.m. to 7.00 p.m. During the festival days, the temple is open from 6.00 a.m. to 10.00 p.m.
Lord Shiva is a swayambumurthi. A scar on the head of the Shivalinga is visible caused by a hit of a plough. The construction of the shrine is such that a devotee could enjoy the darshan of Lord Arappaleeswarar, Mother Thayammai, Lord Vinayaka and Lord Muruga standing from a single spot.
You can enjoy the most beautiful 70 hair pin bend road while visiting this temple. Bus service also available till temple. The most beautiful Aghaya Ganga waterfall also near to this temple.

This Sivan place is located in Kolli malai, in the upper side of the hills there s lady god, who is originated from this local place as a saviour of local people, she is named after this place. Her name is Kolli pavai, means Kolli girl. There is a falls also located, but this is only falls so far I know you have climb down 1000+ steps to see the same. You can bath if the water flow is good.
Around this place you can get spices like pepper, clove, garlic etc at a very good price. Who ever comes over here, they purchase the same without failure

This place and Agasa water falls entrance are close to each other. This is lord shivà temple and not much crowded anytime during the day. It opens in the morning around 7 am and close by 1 pm and opens from 2.30 pm and close by 7 pm. One of the famous and ancient temple to visit in kolli hills. Not much options for lunch outside this temple. Only veg small hotels available, that too like veg meals, cauli flower or mushroom fried rice, but u can get other things like spices, soup powder, home made chocolates and other house hold useful things

Arapaleeswarar Temple is largely believed to have been constructed in the 1st or 2nd century AD by Valvil Ori during his rule, and it is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Located at Periakoviloor, it is in the vicinity of the splendid Akasa Gangai waterfall. Inscriptions dating back to the Chola period have been found at the temple according to experts in the field. Another important historical monument unearthed here is a megalithic burial site. A secret path to the Lord Shiva temple at Rasipuram is thought to exist at Arapaleeswarar Temple.
The Shivalinga in the temple was found by a farmer, according to legend. While ploughing, the farmer accidently hit the Shivalinga, and the structure started to bleed. The temple is 17 kms from Solakkadu junction. This temple hosts main deity as Lord Shiva .
The temple is quite old with some history attached to it. The temple is said to be built by King Valvil Ori. The temple timings are 7 AM to 1 PM and 2:30 PM to 7 PM. There are lot
of eateries around the premises of the temple and all are pure vegetarian. Vegetarians, please ensure you have some food here, without which there are no pure veg restaurants in anywhere in Kollimalai. The place has lot of parking around the temple and shops to buy forest agro products like honey, pepper and lots of condiments Old Temple with Shiva and Parvathi as main deities , all Sidhars sculpture are affixed on the walls of Temple . Nice temple , it has a big bell which children try to pull and its
fun for them . Lot of shops are available near the temple which sells local agriculture products .
Aagaya Gangai falls and Mini Falls are adjacent to this temple . Government Buses wait here and board passengers . Those who cant go down to Aagaya gangai can try Mini falls which is situated behind the temple , its actually a stream and not falls.

This is one of the oldest temples in Tamil Nadu and a must visit spot in Kolli hills. Once you reach this place, you will find sitraruvi , just outside the temple, where you can take bath in a set up like pond. There’s also a falls inside which flows to aagaya gangai. Surrounding this temple is the entry point for aagaya gangai water falls. You will also find small shops selling natural spices, fruits and other eateries. The soup sold here is very good.

View is great. But since we visited during off season it was covered with fog. Entrance ticket is 15 rs per person . There is a small trekking path from entrance to the view point which is slightly steep but since it is well maintained we can go. Path itself is beautiful

Beautiful views. Would suggest taking the left most pathway and that way you'll come back via the right path so you cover all the views. If you want to see the location fast then go via the right path.

A small trek ( 15 - 20 mins )through the steps will take you to the wonderful view point. Great scenery during monsoon.
On the way you can visit tea estates and have a photo shoot too. Here some shops sell local spices.
No parking charges. From here you can watch Dolphin's Nose and the Sleeping Lady hills. Binoculars are available on rent.

Lamb Rock is on the way to Dolphin nose. The Serenity, tranquility and scenery are a pleasant surprise. Since I visited during the monsoon season, I couldn't enjoy the sunrise or the sunset. But I was on cloud 9. The monkeys around are a treat to watch. I would appreciate it if the municipality maintains the roads and the park that would contribute to everlasting memories of the visitors.

Lamb's Rock is another one of the best highest view point. You have to walk atleast one KM inside to reach the spot. The amazing views of Mountains and Clouds together as Clouds moving around there is a beautiful scenic view. Visit and enjoy with your family. Best palce to click pics also.

Great view point in Connor. You have to walk for 20 min to reach the top view point.
Just to go to this place you have to pay 20 rs for the vehicle and then 30 rs per person to get to the view point.
Similar to other visiting places here also you have to pay all the things in cash.
There is no need for a guide for this place.

Beautiful place with a short trek to the Lamb's Rock point. Remember to take a guide along to appreciate the Sleeping Lady, Elephant's Nose & Lamb 's Rock views. Very enjoyable place for about an hour's trip in COONOOR.

Lamb's rock is around 10 km from Conoor.
We have to trek around 500m to reach to the top where we can view the Sleeping Lady mountain and the Catherine water falls.
Guides are available but it is not a must. Need to be careful with the monkeys.
Parking will be an issue and the entry ticket is 30₹ for adults and 10₹ for kids till 10 years.

This place is beautiful😍
We hired a guide for 200₹ for the group who told us about the place and the points.
I do not recommend you to spend on the guide if you are on a budget.
PS: The guide was really good in taking pictures 😛 just in case you need a highly paid photographer, I can then recommend 😁
Its just a walking trail and to reach the tower you will need to climb steps.
Overall time would be around 1-1.5 hours depending on your speed and wait time.
The entry 30₹ per person and parking fees is 20₹
This place is must visit , its really peaceful and serene.

We went here first on a foggy day and came back empty handed, later visited on a sunny day and got spectacular views of the valley, surrounding hills and Mettupalayam at a distance. You have to walk a little from the ticket counter, there are two ways, both lead to the same viewpoint.

The entry fee is 30/- and there is a parking charge of 10 rs for the bike. There is a little to walk with well made way. The place is well maintained by the government. No drones are allowed. The view is mesmerizing if there are fogs and cloud beds, we were lucky to see the fog.

It is located at about 12 kms. from Coonoor bus stand. It is a unique rock of tremendous proportions, jutting out of the face of hill side in the formation of Dolphin's Nose. The view here is extremely grand. Left and right are great ravines, on one side is seen an excellent view of the magnificent St. Catherine’s Falls with their stream continuing several thousand metres below, while on the other, the familiar Coonoor stream meets the stream from Kotagiri. They together contribute to the great Bhavani river. A must visit place.

The Eachanari Vinayagar Temple, located in Coimbatore, is a historic temple dedicated to Lord Ganesha. The temple's tower is intricately carved and draws visitors from all over the world due to its splendid architecture and peaceful ambiance. According to legend, the temple's 6-feet tall Vinayaga idol was being transported to another location when it got stuck at its current location after the cart's axle broke.
Located on national highway NH209. Vinayagar statue in almost 6 feet, we can worship the god from a distance without hassle.
Well maintained temple. A beautiful temple with good ambiance . Every day Ganapathy homam is performed. Powerful and vibrant Vinayagar

Eachanari Vinayagar temple was unique of its own because of its location as well as the ample space around. Before the puliyakulam vinayagar this was in place I remember the age old traditional structures around, when there were no flyovers it will be too crowded.
Now recently the flyover actually helps us to peacefully park our vehicle and get into the temple.
Ticket for vehicle Pooja - Rs.20
Outside shops:
Coconut plate - Rs.100
Garland for car & 5 lemons - Rs.380 (Very over priced )
The temple was sparking clean and we had a peaceful Dharshan as well did the Pooja for our new vehicle without any hassles. May be just it was the next day to pongal it was not that crowded.
A calm and soulful experience! ❤️🌾💐

Om Maha Ganadhipathaye Namaha !
Peaceful temple. Whenever we buy a vehicle its a mandatory feel comes to heart that we should visit God Ganapathy here and get his blessing. Blissful temple.
One thing about the pooja items shop in front of the temple is , they are cheaters selling one lotus and handful of arugampul for Rs.80, also 5 lemons and a small coconut for Rs.70, so you can get things from your home or other shops while coming to temple itself. These shops keepers have that attitude, if you want then buy else go because we don't lose anything because of you. So better don't buy anything.

There is a Hindu temple called Anuvavi Subramanian Temple located near Periyathadagam in Coimbatore. To reach the temple from Coimbatore, one must take Thadagam Road and turn left after traveling approximately 2.50km. This temple is located near Chinna Thadagam, it is a hidden gem.
To reach the temple we need to climb 500 steps as it's not accessible by road. The temple is open from 8 am to 6 pm, I highly recommend visiting within these hours. Beyond the designated timings, the path becomes an active animal crossing area, and encounters with elephants are possible.
The main deity of the temple is Lord Murugan, but there is also a dedicated shrine for Lord Shiva. To reach the shrine, we have to climb an additional 100 steps from Murugan temple.
I was pleasantly surprised by the temple's commitment to sustainable practices, they utilise solar energy, which is truly commendable.
The temple is also well-maintained and kept clean. There is ample parking available, and a small parking fee is charged.
The highlight of this temple is the breathtaking view of the Western Ghats. You can enjoy the scenic beauty and peaceful atmosphere. It's truly a refreshing escape from the noise and chaos of everyday life.
If you're using public transport, you can take bus number 11A, which runs from Ukkadam to Anuvavi Kovil, and it conveniently stops near the temple.

Nestled amidst the serene Anuvavi Hills in Periya Thadagam, just on the outskirts of Coimbatore, lies the enchanting Anubhavi Subramaniar Temple. Steeped in history and shrouded in mystique, this temple holds a special place in the hearts of devotees and travelers alike.
Legend has it that the sanctum sanctorum of this temple was erected by none other than Karikala Chola during the early Christian Era, adding layers of antiquity to its already captivating aura. But it's not just the historical significance that draws people here; it's the tales of divine intervention and spiritual awakening that truly capture the imagination.
One such tale tells of Sri Anjaneyar, who, feeling parched during his journey with the Sanjeevi mount, sought solace and relief in the divine presence of Lord Muruga at this very hill. In response to his plea, Lord Muruga, with a stroke of his Vel, created a spring from which water flowed abundantly, quenching Sri Anjaneyar's thirst. To this day, the origin of this miraculous spring remains a mystery, adding an air of mysticism to the temple grounds. No wonder it's revered as Hanumakumaran Malai, a testament to the divine interconnections between gods and devotees.
Visitors to the temple are greeted not only by its rich history and spiritual significance but also by the breathtaking scenery that surrounds it. The temple's location amidst verdant hills provides a picturesque backdrop for moments of contemplation and introspection.
At the heart of the temple lies the sanctum of Lord Murugan, drawing devotees from far and wide to seek blessings and solace. Additionally, the presence of the Arunachaleswara sanctum atop the Lord Murugan sanctum adds another layer of spiritual depth to the experience.
While reaching the temple might require a climb of 500 steps, the journey is well worth it. Not only are the steps easily navigable, but they also offer glimpses of natural wonders, including the elixir pouring from the mountain and the discovery of a sittar cave along the way, inviting visitors to connect with the divine and the natural world in equal measure.
Moreover, the temple's tranquil ambiance, punctuated by the melodic chirping of birds and the soothing sounds of nature, creates an atmosphere conducive to meditation and reflection, making it a perfect retreat for weary souls seeking solace and serenity.
Must visit !

The Maruthamalai Arulmigu Subramanya Swami Temple is a Hindu temple located in the town of Marudhamalai, about 14 kilometres south of Coimbatore. The temple is dedicated to Lord Murugan, also known as Subramanya and is one of the most popular religious destinations in Coimbatore. The temple features elaborate carvings and gilded shrines, as well as dramatic valley views.
This temple has got a very good vibe. It can be climbed through stairs (which r not very hard) and also can be reached to by vehicle. Will hardly take 40 min to reach the top by climbing. But once you reach there you absolutely feel great. There are multiple Gods in the temple. The whole effort of climbing is worth it.

Architecture of the Temple is phenomenal. To reach there you can go by stairs (700+) or by transport available outside at bottom of hill. You can go there before 7:00 pm as when it gets dark wild animals might find you. View from the temple is breathtaking. If it rains/there are clouds, you're lucky to see those scenes on hill. Clouds might come through the temple (happened with me). City looks great from the top. I Highly recommend to visit.

1. You can reach the temple by govt bus or red taxi cab. Ola/Uber won't come to this place mostly.
2. If you book red taxi, take hourly package 3 to 4 hrs) because if you take one way trip, you can't book it again from temple top. The mobile tower is not available at the top. (red taxi cab be booked only through phone call)
3. If you take govt bus, you need to take another mini bus to reach top. (ticket price 10rs).
4. Once you reach the top, you need to take another 75 steps to reach the temple. It may be slightly difficult for some elderly people as the steps are steep in some places.
5. There are also steps to reach the temple. Around 1000 steps which will take 45 mins to 1 hour.
6. Best time to reach the temple is 4pm to 5 pm in the evening. There won't be much crowd and you can finish all dharshan in 45 mins to 1 hour.
7.Once you reach the temple, take special ticket which is 20rs. You can have a closer look of lord Murugan and also it's quicker

Good temple with ancient history. Had to wait almost for 2 hours to get to mountain top car parking area since they allow only about 10 vehicles at a time to top of the hill due to parking space issue. The location is bounded on three sides by hills. If you are visiting the location, make sure that you walk past the stairs and stop at the temples along the way. This is one of Murugan's Abodes (Arupadaiveedu), signifying the six abodes of Lord Murugan representing the six different forms related to events in his life. The temple, a popular 12th-century hill temple, is situated 12 kilometers from Coimbatore. What makes this Murugan temple special is its location on the eastern face of the hill, distinguishing it from other Murugan temples atop hills. This astonishing, magnificent, and beautiful temple crowns the summit of Marudhamalai Hills. The gentle, refreshing breeze feels heavenly to the devotees, offering an enchanting sight of the lush mountainous surroundings. Peacocks grace the hills, adding to the beauty of this truly amazing place.
The temple is a small temple on the hill. All the services were good according to me. There is a temple provided bus service that connects downhill to uphill and the bus only costs 10 ₹. The hair donation is also free but there is some unaccounted money taken (Mostly around 200 ₹). The waiting time is very low in normal seasons. There are special tickets which are 50₹ per person. The stairs are also good but it's a little uncomfortable and I would not recommend it unless you are not able to climb stairs easily. The temple has a very good environment and the cleanliness of the temple was good. The stairs close approximately 5pm and the last bus service from uphill to downhill is 8pm. So reaching there before these times would be reasonable. There is a good amount of parking uphill for cars and bikes. Definitely would recommend for any type of transport public and private. I have tried this temple in all different holidays and the wait times are always very low unless there is an abishekam going on. Where people have to wait for the abishekam to end. It mostly takes 40mins for the abishekam to end.

Pray nicely and channel your inner energy here. There are lovely food places inside the main temple which you could indulge in and it’s also cheap. This statue deserved a 5 star rating. I didn't observe anything negative which I can mention here. The path that leads to the statue is clean and water tanks are installed on the way. You'll come here from the back of Shivji and then at the front you can either sit or stand to attend the show.
The light and sound show is amazing. The sound quality of the speaker is good. The story they tell is amazing. Although instead of english and the local language, it'll be good if the whole show is elaborated in hindi. One can come here to enjoy the light and should show experience.

A very beautiful and calm place. There are a lot of things to visit, so plan to reach the place by 2 PM if you want to cover all the places. Apart from the beautiful statue, there is Isha foundation - a 10 min walk from the statue - which has different temples and places for meditation which is maintained by the foundation.
There is enough space for parking and the people here are very helpful and patient. A bit far from the main city but worth it!

Little issues needed to be fixed regarding the timings of light show and management of people, seating arrangements and clarity of programs.
It’s a must go in India. If you haven’t explored the world. This will be a 5 star in that case.

The place is absolutely great to visit but it's a bit crowded and people do not visit this during the afternoon or summer , the sun will roast you up.
You have an option to reach the main place by front and back gate by vehicle where you have to pay 20 ₹ (but the electric vehicle guy charged us double , nominal charge and followed by an additional charge for themselves) .
Also you have an option of bullock cart.

Yesterday’s visit to the Isha Yoga Center was an experience that stands out in my memory. Nestled at the foothills of the Velliangiri Mountains, the center exudes a tranquil energy that is both grounding and uplifting.
The highlight of my visit was the Adiyogi Shiva statue. Towering at 112 feet, it is a sight to behold and serves as a powerful reminder of the yogic sciences’ potential for transformation. The sheer scale and artistry of the statue left me in awe, and the peaceful surroundings provided a perfect backdrop for some quiet reflection.
The Dhyanalinga was another profound experience. Sitting in its presence, I could feel a deep sense of peace that is hard to put into words. It’s a space that seems to cut through the noise of daily life and invites you into a moment of stillness.
The center is well-maintained, and it’s evident that a lot of thought has gone into creating an environment that supports self-discovery and spiritual growth. From the Nada Aradhana to the Pancha Bhuta Kriya, every element is designed to facilitate a deeper connection with oneself.
In conclusion, my visit to the Isha Yoga Center was a journey into tranquility and self-awareness. It’s a place I would recommend to anyone looking for a pause from the hustle and bustle of life to reconnect with their inner self

Adiyogi in Coimbatore is a truly awe-inspiring place that captivates both the mind and the soul. As soon as you set foot on the premises, you are immediately struck by the grandeur and magnificence of this architectural marvel.
The centerpiece of Adiyogi is the colossal statue of Lord Shiva, standing at an impressive height of 112 feet. The level of detail and craftsmanship that has gone into creating this statue is truly remarkable. It exudes a sense of power, tranquility, and spiritual energy that is felt by all who visit.
The surroundings of Adiyogi are equally enchanting, with lush greenery, serene water bodies, and beautifully landscaped areas. It creates a tranquil and peaceful atmosphere where visitors can enjoy moments of reflection and introspection.
The site also offers various facilities and amenities to enhance the overall experience. There is a meditation hall where one can engage in self-reflection and find inner peace. Additionally, there are informative displays and exhibits that provide insights into Indian mythology, yoga, and spirituality.
One aspect that stands out about Adiyogi is the dedication and knowledge of the staff. They are friendly, approachable, and always ready to provide assistance or answer any questions visitors may have. Their passion for preserving and sharing the teachings of yoga and spirituality is clearly evident.
Whether you are a devotee seeking spiritual solace or simply looking to admire breathtaking architecture, Adiyogi in Coimbatore is an exceptional destination. It offers a unique blend of beauty, tranquility, and spiritual energy that leaves a lasting impression on all those who enter its sacred grounds.

The location of DHYANALINGAM is suggested to be conducive for peaceful meditation. The presence of a Shiva linga adds to the calming environment, which could help in attaining inner peace. It is recommended that individuals spend at least 10 minutes meditating here, while maintaining absolute silence. Consistent practice of meditation at this place may aid in achieving mental tranquility over time.

Well, big land converted to a religious place having Lor Shiva's statue 🙏 but other than the statue, it is just a place where you can enjoy some food, have shower, and see bullock cart. Lastly a Dome, also called Dhyanlinga where you can sit and meditate. It can also be done at home for people who don't know. Try this, go back home and close your eyes, empty your mind and call upon whoever you worship. God is within you.
They have SAVE SOIL slogan and they love animals. There is bullock cart in 50° degrees carrying passengers from one place to the other. I mean we have battery cars and golf cars but they love animals and want them to know that they are loved deeply. Lets make these poor animals carry 9 people at once under the 50° degree sun. Touche!
Tradition can be supported with technology too, we don't need to harm animals this way. We could barely walk in the sun and these poor animals were carrying so many people. God forgive these people who are doing this to animals 🙏
BATH FACILITY - We had shower in the morning so we didn't go shower here. I mean it's not elixir otherwise we would have definitely.
DHYANLINGA - the road (walk only) leads to dhyanlinga but when its nearly 50° degrees, it makes it difficult to walk barefoot on the UNEVEN and hot surface. They could have put Carpet on the foor covering uneven surface but i guess they were short of funds and also they wanted you to feel the culture. You are going to feel that culture the next day too when your feet hurts. There were old people walking slowly and some of them were pouring water on the floor to walk on that hot surface. It was 3PM and Carpet is a must for people who aren't used to walking on the uneven hot surface.
Finally when you reach dhyanlinga, they will force you to sit inside dome and meditate. We recently had an accident and couldn't sit on floot so they forced us to sit on the chair. We didn't want to be rude so we sat for 2 minutes. There was a small baby crying very softly and these CARETAKERS asked the lady to get out pointing finger as if she made a huge mistake. If they can't respect humanity, what good will come of anything they practice in life. We saw that and immediately stood up. 2 of them tried blocking our way. Well, just to be clear, We bow to God only and there was no God here. We are not slaves they need to get this to their heads. We left instantly without responding to them.
By the way, the best feeling was when we bought 3 packets of biscuits and made the dog eat. He was very happy and kept coming back to give his love. That was the only good feeling we got. We made sure the dog wasn't hungry anymore and then left back for the hotel.
Canteens are everywhere so don't worry if you miss one. There are more on the way. Also phones were not allowed but we noticed some of them carrying it quietly with them. The deposit box is safe. They take your photo and phone number. So nothing to worry about.

I’m reviewing about a unique 'space' on our planet. It needs some introduction.
I’ve a great respect for Tamil people. They follow their age old culture and traditions even today.
Countless Sages & realized beings have illuminated this land since time immemorial.
Sage Agastya , (who wrote our horoscopes in palm leafs known as Nadi Astrology thousands of years ago. Even foreigners come to places like Tanjore to get their horoscope)
Thiruvalluvar, Ramana Maharshi, the great Mahavatar Babaji (I was initiated to Babaji’s Kriya Yoga by Sri M),
Bhogar (It was Bhogar who first noticed the presence of Murugan, the son of Lord Shiva at Palani and made an Idol for him using ‘navapashanas’ or 9 poisons, When these 9 poisons are mixed in a certain proportion, it can heal all ailments)
and finally Lord Shiva himself spent some time on Velliangiri Mountains to grieve his lover’s death. (His wife Parvathi took the life of a Tamil girl in one of her previous life known as Devi Kanya Kumari). That is why this place is known as the Kailash of the South.
Even Sadhguru , in his previous life left his body on Velliangiri mountains. That is the reason he built Isha Yoga Centre just near the velliangiri mountains.
I’ve been longing to visit Dhyanalinga Temple and spent some time inside it since I hear about Sadhguru and read his biography, ‘Sadhguru, More than a Life’. .
We’ve thousands of temples all over the country, but there is one and only one Dhyanalinga Temple. It’s unique.
There is no idol or deity of any kind inside. Only a cylindrical shaped linga with 7 chakras or energy centres as of in a human system with all the chakras energized to its fullest and traped in the linga by sadhguru using his yogic power. It’s a pure energy work.
If anyone who haven’t even heard of mediation comes and sits in front of the linga in silence, he automatically falls to meditation. So Dhyanalinga is also known as meditating machine. Dhyanalinga temple has an important role to play for the centuries to come ahead.
As there is no idol of any kind inside, no rituals are required here.
There is no need to pray inside the temple, just sit in silence. The dhyanalinga will lay the ‘Egg of liberation’ within us. It’ll accelerate our spiritual evolution.
I visited here on Jan31, 2021. Due to corona pandemic, there were many restrictions. Suryakund etc were kept closed however Dhyanaligna Temple was open.
I wasn’t prepared for this journey. I accidentally reached Coimbatore with a friend who wanted to meet his girl friend studying in some college here. We had liquor and non veg food previous days. Yet it was a wonderful experience inside the temple.
If one comes well prepared (having veg foods, little mediation etc), one may have mystical experiences inside the temple.
I was in Coimbatore last week also, but I couldn’t visit Isha Yoga Centre. I’ll be coming here soon with a little bit of preparation.

The credit to all the information I shared here goes to Sadhguru himself, he is a living encyclopedia.
I’ve added a photo of Dhyanalinga taken from the internet.

You may have gone to too many temples for seeking health, children, money, marriage issues and they may or may not have helped you to find solutions. But this is of a different kind of temple. You must visit this temple If you are in so much pain of any kind and have not found solutions. If you are sensitive then it's energies will definitely shake your being. If there are temples that are to be visited once in their lifetime then this is it. Do visit and experience the power of Dhyanalinga with open mind and without any expectation😇🙏

Absolutely stunning place to visit once in a lifetime. This is a meditation hall with residences around for the people who visit this place for a purpose. Camera, phones, bags and footwear are not allowed but there is a stall right at the entrance to submit these materialistic stuffs. Basically it's somewhat like leaving all material things behind to enter this area. This is run by the Isha foundation and it is just a km away from the Adiyogi statue. Dhyanalinga is the main highlight of this area where people just sit across the huge linga and meditate as much longer as they want. This is a very peaceful place to be around with all the people doing yoga and meditating in the premises. Must visit!

Dhyanalinga Shiva Temple in Coimbatore a city in the south Indian state of Tamil Nadu.
Dhyanalinga is present within the premises of Isha Yoga Center. And once you cross Adiyogi statue you need to submit mobile phones and bags to enter the premises where all Kunds, Linga Bhairavi is present.
Har Har Mahadev🙏🚩
You will generally walk into one direction making way past across all the Kunds, Temple etc. while before exiting once you look on your right there is an entrance which will lead you to enter Dhyanalinga which at first glimpse will look like the best thing your eyes has ever laid upon. The place maintains complete silence as it usually a place where people meditate in silence.
Har Har Mahadev🙏🚩
Dhyanalinga Situated around 30 kilometres from the city of Coimbatore, the Dhyanalinga Temple is a place made up of yogic science. Not belonging to any faith or belief, the Dhyanalinga was made and blessed by Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev. Many worshippers and visitors find this huge linga to be the source of something energetic, magical and calming. Just silently meditating for a while within the sphere of Dhyanalinga is enough to make one aware of the divine energy.

How to Reach Dhyanalinga Temple :-

I would give here 3 stars as everything goes well during my visit but one thing I noted here is that the employee of mgmt forced people to make a circle around the Shivling. Which should not be supposed to be done. Otherwise everything at Dhyanalinga is good.
You're not allowed to bring phones here, one needs to submit it at the counter at the entrance.

One of a kind meditation place. Mobile phones and plastic bottles are not allowed inside. Absolute silence to be maintained during the visit of this temple. No chanting or anything to be done during your meditation; just need to sit with your eyes closed and palms facing upwards. Initially we are supposed to stare at the linga for 2 minutes, and then close our eyes and meditate for as long as we want, but minimum of 15 minutes which will be intimated by ringing of a bell.

Peaceful natural attraction featuring a series of cascading waterfalls, pools & lush forest greens.
A beautiful serene place till you reach the bathing spot, but everyone is there to enjoy, though the crowd is scary given the Covid period has not yet passed. The pure air and the walk under the shadows of the tall trees and surrounded by the virgin fauna is a blissful sight..

Opening timing is 10 Am. I don't know the closing time. After a walk for 200 meters there will be a checking of bags and plastic water bottle is not allowed, plastics covers and plastic items too.
After finishing the checking of bags there will be a bus, it is free of cost. And they pick-up from the checking place and drops 400metres away from the water fall. We have to go by walking to the waterfalls.
The water is so 🆒.

A beautiful waterfall near Coimbatore! The area comes under the Forest Department, so it's well maintained and is a plastic free area.
You need to first buy the tickets and then park your vehicles a little ahead from there. From the parking area, only Forest department buses run every 10-15 minutes which is free of cost. The bus drops you in around 10 minutes and then you have a 10-15 minute trek from there. This way to the waterfall is beautiful, however the way can be cemented or made into stairs for elderly people to walk easily.
As we went on a weekend, it was very crowded towards the end. Plan to go a bit earlier.

There is a nice trek to the waterfall, they allow people to take a bath under the waterfalls or you can just lay around on natural pool. There is a watch tower that falls on the way with great view.
But the place could be more efficient. You have to stand in a line for the ticket counter, then park your vehicle little inside, and then again stand in another line for a bus that takes you 3km inside from where you have to walk about 1km. No one tells you these details before you head out. It's good but not worth the pain you take in the hot summer to finally reach the waterfall. And then you may not even find a place to stand.

The Waterfalls opens at 10am and ticket issue close at 2pm. You have to buy tickets in the entrance checkpost itself and luggage checking done in another place. After that they have separate bus to go near the Waterfalls. And exit time is 3:45 - 4 range.

Once we reached the entrance, we bought tickets. Then we walked up to the Bus Point where buses were coming to take visitors inside the reserved area. The Bus Point has some shops catering to the thirst of the visitors. On the opposite of the Bus Point and the Shops is the car parking area. The Bus takes 10 minutes to reach the Bus Point inside the forest. From there you walk uphill. It takes 10 minutes to 20 minutes depending on the capacity. There are scenic and photographic locations while going up the trek. After the trek you reach the waterfall point. Iron Bridges and platforms are there which you shall cross to reach the other side of the river, and then you take the stairs downhill. Mind you that the steps are very big. It does hurt your knees. There are washrooms and changing rooms located. You can change your dress and take a bath. It's great and worth it.

Takes around 1 and half hour from Coimbatore. Entry ticket for person is Rs.60 and for vehicle Rs.50. Entry will be closed at 2:00 PM and exit around 6:00 PM. After taking the ticket we have waited in a line and needed to get on a bus which takes deep in the forest area and there after needed to walk around 800 metres. It's a three step water fall and the place contains restrooms and changing rooms for both men and women. A great place to visit.

The water here is known as the sweetest water in the world. I went to this place on weekend, so it was pretty crowded.
Firstly we have to take a ticket to enter into the parking space. There we can park our vehicle and we have to stand in line to get into the bus. The parking area is full of monkeys, dogs and cows. The monkeys will roam around, so people who leave their belongings in the car make sure that the doors a properly closed. The bus will arrive after a 20 min long wait and it will lead us to the trekking spot. The bus journey is of 5 to 10 mins, covering an area of almost 1 km. We can see beautiful sights on the way. After reaching the trekking spot we have to walk a distance of almost 1 km to reach the main waterfall. On the way, there is a view point from where we get a sight of the whole mountain range. The water fall is a sight to see and we can enjoy in the small ponds down there.
