According to legend, there were three brothers who were mute, deaf and blind. They were digging a well to fetch water to their field. The device they were using fell into the well hitting hard object. When they dug further, blood started to gush out of the well and the three got rid of their disabilities. A very well maintained temple. Now renovation work is in progress , which is scheduled to be completed by Aug'22 before Ganesh Chaturthi festival.
Must visit the temple if you are at Tirupathi.

Kanipakam Vinayaka temple, Chittoor Overview
Chittoor is a district laden with famous temples, one of them being the Kanipakkam Vinayaka Temple. The temple was ideated and constructed in the 11th century CE by Kulothunga Chola I, a revered Chola king. It was then rebuilt in 1336 by the Vijayanagara rulers.
What makes the Kanipakam temple unique is the fables and legends associated with it! It is reported that the idol of Vinayaka grows every year; The armour offered to the deity 50 years ago does not fit anymore!
This historical temple with Ganesha as its primary deity is also known as Shrine of Water and is in Irala Mandal of Chittoor district. The regal Kanipakam temple has immense religious significance and importance because of its miraculous idol. The water found in the complex is believed to be holy and can cure various deformities

About a 1000 years ago, there lived three physically-disabled brothers. While one of the brothers was blind, the other was dumb and the third was deaf. They earned their modest living by cultivating a small piece of land close to Viharapuri village.
On a certain day, when one of the brothers was irrigating the land via different channels, the other two were drawing the water from a well using the Piccota System. During the task, to their utter dismay, they discovered that the water of the well had dried up. One of the brothers got down the well and began digging its bed with an iron spade. Soon after commencing this job, he was awe-struck to realise that his spade has been floundering about in the waters and hitting a stone-like object underneath.
When the brothers saw blood oozing out from the stone formation, they were astounded to behold the miracle. In no time, the blood mixed with the entire water in the well in such a way that there was no difference between the two. Meanwhile, the brothers got blessed by the divine sight and got rid of their former physical defects. When the news of these events reached the ears of the villagers, they rushed towards the well and tried hard to deepen the well. Their endeavour, however, bore no fruit because a self-manifested idol of Lord Ganesha showed itself to them
Stunned beyond words with the divine revelation, the villagers offered loads of coconuts and other love offerings to the self-manifested idol, along with their humble prayers. The coconut water started flowing into a stream, to a distance of more than one and a quarter acres. This phenomenon led to the coinage of the word “Kanipakam” where "Kani" means wetland and "Pakam" means flow of water into wetland.
Till this day, the idol lies in its original place, that is, in the well from beneath it had sprung. The waters of the holy well never dry up, thus signifying the immortality of the Divine Power. In the monsoons, the well overflows with the sanctified water, and it is offered to the devotees as theertham.
An Incredible Fact is that , the Lord Vinayak of Kanipakam is that the idol is reportedly growing in size with the passage of time. Currently, only the knees and abdomen of the idol are visible. The testimony to the fact is the silver kavacham (armour) offered to the idol by one of the ardent devotees about fifty years ago, which does not fit the idol today!
Several people have been visiting the temple since a long time to resolve mutual strife by taking a dip in the sacred waters of the temple tank and swear before the idol of the deity. There have been cases when the sinner accepts his faults immediately after taking the holy dip and even before stepping into the “court of justice” or the inner chambers of the temple. Such is the power of Sri Varasiddhi Vinayaka and his glory is worthy of being sung in every corner of the globe.
Another interesting aspect of Kanipakam is the Bahuda River, which flows near the Sri Varsiddhi Vinayaka Temple. Long ago, as a story goes, there were two brothers Sankha and Likhita. One day, they started for a pilgrimage to Kanipakam. Due to the arduous journey, Likhita gave in to hunger. He ignored the advice of his elder sibling and plucked a mango for his meal from the nearby mangrove without the permission of its owner. Duty-bound to tell the truth, Sankha reported the issue to the king of that place and asked for a punishment befitting Likhita’s sin committed during the pilgrimage. The ruler chopped off both the arms of Likhita as a punishment. When the two brothers reached Kanipakam and took a dip in its sacred waters an amazing miracle happened. To the astonishment of two brothers, the chopped arms of Likhita were restored. Soon after this incident, the ruler of that place named the river as Bahuda (“Bahu” means arms and “Da” means giver)

I was introduced to this temple recently via social media and then decided that i want to visit the place.
Drove down from Bangalore. Since it was quite hit, we started by afternoon and reached the temple at around 4:30pm. As oer i ter et, the temple is open full day. However, on reaching the place, I found that that's not the case. There are various sevas that happen, and a limited set of tickets are issued. We just mussed the abhishekam slot as only 30 tkts are issued for it(and wearing dhoti is mandatory). However, I got the tkts for the next seva, which was arathi. Got to sit almost at the front and witnessed the 20 minutes aarti. It was simply serene, calm, and too blissful. I felt such peace and serenity sitting in front of the Lord.
It was a wonderful darshan that i got. i came out as an extremely happy person. 😊 the prasad given was yummy to eat and there are small temples around the main temple.
Note: mobiles not allowed inside the temple. There is a counter you can deposit it at.

The first time i visited Kanipakam sidhi Vinayaka temple. This is a pleasant place where we can see swayambhu Varasidhi Vinayaka idol.
Bus transport is available from Tirupati for every 15-20 mins. We can reach between 1 hr 15 mins to 1 hr 45 mins.
Devasthanam facilitated free toilet and fresh up to devotees. But there is no proper maintenance because of this Toilet looking not good.
3 types of Darshnam are there mainly. Free, Seerga Darshanam ( 100/- ) , Athi Sirga Darshnam ( 150/-) and a few more.
Devasthnam gives accommodation also. Ganesh Sadan, Vinayak sadan are two there. Charging 336/- with incl all taxes plus advance 336/- with incl all taxes per day.
Providing free food to Devotees as same as Tirumala ( Uchitha Anna Dhaanam ) .
There are 2 temples beside this Varasidhi Vinayaka Temple. Manikanteswara swamy Temple(Lord Shiva), Varada Raja swamy Temple ( Lord Venkateswara). Here we can see the beautiful idols of Vinayaka, Kumara swamy, Shiva, Parvathi .
There are many shops available near temple. Mainly the shoes keeper/chappals keeper is charging 7/- per pair. Luggage counter charging 20/- per bag. Coconuts (small size) charging 30/-
A small request to Temple management , please provide sometime while devotees came for swamy (Vinayaka) darashanam. Don't ask them to leave quickly. Especially those who took the athi Seerga Darshanam ticket, Security asked them to move quickly, because of this devotees were unable to see swamy clearly. Because the swamy idol is very far from where devotees stand. Maximum space you're occupied for some other activity( Puja).

Famous and ancient temple located around 12 kilometers from the chittoor town. It is believed that Lord Ganesha's idol here gradually grows in size every year. Don't miss it if you are into temples and stuff.
The place might be crowded during holidays, festivals which will eventually increase the time of Darshan.
Additionally when you visit the temple, you should definitely try Masala Soda and Bhel Masala available within the temple surroundings, They are tasty 🤤😍

The Vellore Fort, established during the 16th century, was once the stronghold of the Aravidu Dynasty. Encircled by water bodies and fortified walls, this over four-century-old fortress houses various government offices along with a mosque and a famous Jalagandeeswara temple within its premises. Additionally, an archaeological museum is present in the fort which closes by 5 pm.
The fort is looking good and is very spacious , surrounded by water bodies , over 4 centuries old .
There are many government offices inside the fort , there is an archaeological museum which closes by 5 pm and hence we could not visit , We visited the famous Jalagandeeswara temple inside the fort which is good . There is also a mosque inside the fort .
This could have been very easily developed into a huge tourist attraction , but the government seem to have not thought in those lines .
Maintenance is not very good...

If you're looking for a historical site to visit, you might want to skip the fort. It's pretty old and run-down, and there's not much to see there. The temple, on the other hand, is a nice attraction. It has some beautiful architecture and a peaceful atmosphere. You can spend some time there and enjoy the view. Museum will be closed on Government holidays & Sunday.

Best sightseeing is wall & moats (water surrounded next to the wall) and another one is temple. Temple is good, well maintained. Currently police occupied this fort, kind of police parade ground and quarters. Museum is closed when I visited here, so no words on that. We need minimum two hours to spend here.
To management:
If moats is maintained with fresh water that will be good to see. And also, if big colour fishes are in moats people can excite. Please see foreign countries, how they are maintaining there. Our country is best ever if we maintained properly, thank you

Fort is worth seeing due to many sights inside & outside its walls.
Easily reachable due to its closeness to CMC Main Hospital & Old Bus Stand.
Outside the walls, there is a moat. Vellore fort park is there too.
Inside the walls, there is a beautiful and busy temple. When one walks more, one can see an old silent church, a mosque that remains closed, a nice museum to explore and a few banyan trees with very huge trunks and aerial roots.
Lots of people can be seen in and around the fort, spending time leisurely. Sitting in the shades of the trees of Vellore Fort Park outside the walls, can be a really nice experience.
As such no unclean things there, but even today (Feb 2022) people threw plastic bottles in the moat water. That was a painful sight to bear.
Must visit place for anyone.

Short history:
The Fort was built by the ruler Bommu Nayakar and his brother during 1526-1595 AD. The First Mutiny against the British in India broke out in Vellore Fort (1806 – Sippoy Kalagam). The fort was taken by the British in 1760 and used as a military garrison. The fort contains both secular and religious structures.

Vellore Fort may lack historical charm, but its Jalakandeswarar temple steals the spotlight with its stunning architecture and tranquil ambiance. Open throughout the day, it offers a serene retreat from city life. Although the museum inside may have limited exhibits, the temple's beauty makes up for it. The Sri Lakshmi Narayani Golden Temple is a magnificent shrine located within the Thirupuram spiritual park in Tamil Nadu, India. The temple boasts an ornate gold-covered structure surrounded by beautiful gardens and a star-shaped path. Positioned at the foot of green hills in Thirumalaikodi, it's easily accessible from major cities like Tirupati, Chennai, Pondicherry and Bengaluru.
Golden Temple Vellore complex inside the Thirupuram spiritual park is situated at the foot of a small range of green hills at Thirumalaikodi (or simply Malaikodi) Vellore in Tamil Nadu, India. It is 120 km from Tirupati, 145 km from Chennai, 160 km from Pondicherry and 200 km from Bengaluru. The Maha Kumbhabhishekam or consecration of the temple and its chief deity, Sri Lakshmi Narayani or Maha Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth, was held on 24 August 2007, and devotees from all religions and backgrounds are welcome to visit.
The salient feature of 'Thirupuram' is the Lakshmi Narayani temple whose Vimanam and Ardha Mandapam is covered with pure gold, housing the deity Sri Lakshmi Narayani (female consort/wife of Vishnu Narayana). The temple is located on 100 acres of land and has been constructed by the Vellore-based charitable trust, Sri Narayani Peedam, headed by its spiritual leader Sri Sakthi Amma also known as 'Narayani Amma'.
The temple with its gold covering, has intricate work done by artisans specialising in temple art using gold. Every single detail was manually created, including converting the gold bars into gold foils and then mounting the foils on copper. Gold foil from 9 layers to 10 layers has been mounted on the etched copper plates. Every single detail in the temple art has significance from the Vedas.[1]
Sripuram's design features a star-shaped path (Sri chakra), positioned in the middle of the lush green landscape, with a length of over 1.8 km. As one walks along this 'starpath' to reach the temple in the middle, one can also read various spiritual messages -- such as the gift of the human birth itself, and the value of spirituality -- along the way.

Wow just wow. A star shaped path to built as the main temple is situated in the centre. There is absolutely no problem for even senior citizens who wants to visit as they have seating all around the path.

Best place to visit and take blessings from Goddess Lakshmi. You can also get blessings from Lord Ganesha and Lord Venkateshwara. Please note whichever tickets you buy you need to walk in star shape to see Lakshmi goddess at least which will be around 2.5 km. If elderly people are unable to walk request for wheel chair and they’ll allow from other short distance. Mobiles and bags not allowed so you have to deposit in safe lockers. You also get opportunity to do abhishekam for Goddess Lakshmi which is made of 20kg gold. Do enquire about it inside. Best place to visit in evening so that lighting’s can also be seen.

Best place to visit.... Don't go for 100 rupees ticket rather than better to go in general line... Because both are takes same time... Better to go in general line .. it takes one hour total... Because u have to walk for 45 mins nearly around the temple.... But feels good... Lots of crowd at end .... Annadanam starts at 12pm.... Nice ambience... They will not allow mobile's...

Top destination to visit... Avoid purchasing a ticket for 100 rupees; it is preferable to go through the regular line. As both require the same amount of time... It's best to go in general line; the entire process takes one hour. since almost the entire temple must be walked in 45 minutes. However, it feels good... Large audience at the conclusion. Annadanam begins at 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 pm

Shri Kotilingeshwara Swamy Temple, established in 1980, is a remarkable Hindu complex featuring over 1,000 shiva lingas, with one towering at an impressive height of 33 meters. The temple offers a unique and awe-inspiring ambiance with its extensive collection of shiva lingas.
Very beautiful temple. Well maintained. Only 20/- for entry. You can buy offerings from outside stalls. Please carry lots of change as you need to put dakshina in all of them(you can skip that too). The tallest linga looks very beautiful. You will get tired clicking pictures. Very scenic. A great day outing with family and friends. Roads are good. Try to leave early as it gets very sunny as the day passes. Not many restaurants near the temple but you can find many in the NH75.Definitely recommend.

The place is good if you wish to go with family and friends. Male sure that you are following Google roads correctly since there is high chances of getting deviated. Once the line starts you will have to visit all small temples inside it. Entry fee is 20 rupees, so there is no issue with it. There are many places nearby so plan correctly so that you can cover many places.

Definitely a must visit even if you are not the religious type. Please carry a lot of loose cash preferably about 200 bucks in 10s, much needed. Better to leave shoes/chappals in car itself. Try to reach early, around 7-9 am best. It gets crowded after that.

A very beautiful place to visit. Please note that it takes a minimum of 3-4 hours to completely see the huge temple. There are three main temples inside where you will find a queue. If the crowd is moderate then the waiting time in each temple queue is around 30min. Carry water with you as inside you may not get it.

1. Ensure to take a left turn while on Highway when coming from Bangalore. Then only you will find a clean & good road. Any right turn & you will face a uneven & poor road.
2. They will ask you to pay for several types of Pooja, so keep a change with you.
3. Entry fees of 20₹.
4. Parking is available nearby temple, so no need to worry.
5. Ensure to take umbrellas with you, incase it rains.

Good weekend gateway near Bangalore. Paid Parking is available. 20 rs entry fees to get inside the temple. Well maintained place.
But the place is too much commercialized. Priests won't allow you to do Puja or offerings without huge money. Every temple you go inside its all same. Dint like this sort of approach.
Apart from that it's all good here. You can take photos and spend some time.
Restrooms, small eateries, shops selling statues are there.

Amazing temple. With its world's largest shiv ling as also a grand collection of shiv lings gives this place an out of the world ambience. Gets crowded on a Sunday amd the wait time to enter could be 20 miniutes to half and hour. 20/- Rs. entry fee. One goes though a barriced walk to reach the end of the passage which makes you enter 3 small temples before you finally reach the maha shiv ling. On the Sunday we went, the route become very crowded and going through each temple becomes a bit suffocating. No option to avoid the temples unless you jump the barricades. But once you reach the maha shiv ling area, all the efforts feel rewarded.

The place is good. We need to buy a ticket before entering. Idols of God is very nice but they ask for money at various places inside the temple, this will not make it divine, it feels as business. Because of this we don't feel as a temple of peace.

Can you believe this temple has 90 lacs shivlings? Yes thats correct. Koti meas one crore and they are just 10 lacs away from it.
The place is so pure and pious that you will devotee yourself to the God. The temple is situated in Kolar and I would personally suggest that the best time to visit is early morning. Due to covid, less number of people visit the temple and you get enough time to meditate there.
The temple has one of the largest shivling in Asia ( please check uploaded pictures) along with Nandi🙏. The priests perform Avishek pooja on your behalf and that's one of the best experience you can have.
The entry fee is just Rs 20/- and you are allowed to bring cameras but taking pictures of the gods is not allowed. You can take pictures of the 90 lac shivlings though.

Grange Adventure activities were enjoyed thoroughly by the kids. Though some of the activities were not available, the kids enjoyed the Rope course, Zip line and Archery. To use the ATV (The All Terrain Vehicle) we were asked to drive in our car, to a place short distance away from the Grange Resort, which was unacceptable. The overall maintenance of the resort and the upkeep of the equipment needs a immediate look into. The equipment looked unimpressive, rusty and old. The charges are ok. The staff seemed experienced to handle any eventuality. There was a very dirty pond with filthy water, abandoned and another dirty pond with unused boats. But for this poor maintenance and upkeep, it deserves better score than 3 stars.

Good place for rope course adventure games. The kid's course is 300/- for 7 rope walkways and the adult's course is 400/- for 8 rope walkways. Not much else though. Kids have water boats, archery and shooting but that looks overpriced. GST is extra.

You can pass 2-3 hours visiting this beautiful temple when you are visiting Salem as a tourist. It is one of the best places to visit in Salem. There are 1008 Siva lingams, some Murugan temples, and a Perumal temple. You can see the tremendous Siva lingam on the top of the hill. And I enjoyed that the monkeys are climbing the temples & sitting near the lingams. Finally, each Siva lingam has

We stopped by this temple when driving to chennai from coimbatore this week....this temple falls on the left of the road and they had a guiness world record dance competition going on that day so we were seeing a lot of crowd but still managed to get darshan of the main preceding deity of Sri Rajarajeshwari ma
Loved the climb to the temple but it was extremely hot for December....the 1008 lingams was a good divine touch

Good place to visit once. The main shiv Lingappa is extremely huge. Good parking. But I couldn’t find washrooms. All boards are in Tamil and people don’t speak any other language other than Tamil which is a centuries old issue in TN, thus one star less, rest all good

Aagaya Gangai water falls
Waterfall
Nature & Parks
Amazing waterfall 👌 located in Kolli Hills, of the eastern ghats, Tamil Nadu originating from river Aiyaru.
Water falls from 300ft of height and its an amazing view🤩
Opening time 7am - 3 pm👈
Need to climb down 1200 + steps to reach falls.
Approx 30 minutes to climb down and 1hr + to climb up 😇
The view of the falls and the experience is worth all the pain👍
The water falls on rocks/ pond like place. We have to pass a 50 feet long stream (max 5feet deep) to reach the falls. A rope is tied leading people through the pond towards the waterfalls for safety.
Carry waterbottle and snacks. You may require refreshment while coming back.
Jithin Nair G — Google review
There are around 3000 stairs to go down. Going to the falls is easy but returning would be a task. It's recommended to carry water bottles.
Exploring India — Google review
Guys, you got to climb and get down a lot of stairs. 1200 steps totally might seem easy on numbers but it’s steep, gonna be tiring. Takes around 30mins up and 20mins down. Definitely worth the journey, water was decent, towards the lesser side only yet the height from which it falls makes it serene. For sure gonna be amazing with more water. Do carry bottle and i wish the place could be maintained, more people=more dirt snd plastics. There is a temple as well with ample parking ourside. 60 bucks charged for parking.
Rishabh DA — Google review
It's a beautiful falls. Good to take a bath. But there is no rest rooms and dressing rooms down there. It's very to walk 1300 steps down. U can bring water bottle down there with govt sticker. U can not carry any carry bags.

Actually the waterfalls beat the hell out Me 🤣
(On a funny note).
Actually it is one the best waterfalls in Tamil Nadu. Enjoyed a lot.
But U have to climb down and up nearly 1600 to 1800 steps round trip 😥😥😥 , but worth it😍😍😍

Best place to visit in kolli hills. Approx it is 18 km from 70/70 hair pin bend. In route u will find lots of spice shop, where u can find spices at very cheap rate. Ample amount of parking(₹ 60 for car) space available near water fall. Entry for water fall is ₹30 for adults and ₹20 for child. To reach waterfall u have to step down approx 1500 risers. But this much exercise is worth the view. Carry 1 set of clothes to take bath in fall. Childrens and women can't go to exact fall point as water is deep in the way. Water falling intensity is that u can feel the little pain on your body. Ladies and children can bath nearby fall. Change room is there for ladies. Great place enjoy folks.

And risky waterfall too

Wonderful location, great scenic view. This is a must visit location in Kolli hills. You have to claim down 1200 steps to reach the falls, so definitely not recommended for elderly people and for those who has knee problems. Part of the path way is steep down with height steps. Otherwise the steps are constructed properly and hand rails provided for safety.

Agaya Gangai waterfalls are located in Kolli Hills of the Eastern Ghats, in India. Panchanathi, a jungle stream, cascades down as the Agaya Gangai, near Arapaleeswarar temple atop the Kolli Hills in Namakkal district, Tamil Nadu. It is a 300 feet waterfall of the river Aiyaru. It is located in a mountain valley. Since its in summer. The flow of water is little less.. But when step in to the water we feel the chillness and when we reach near the falling spot. Be make sure of taking antibiotics after that. The force of water bit higher. Once it touches our body.. You will start feeling the pain.. Its one of the most underrated spot in tamilnadu 😁😁
Manjunath Vichu — Google review
One of the best explorer in life, has to go through more than 1000 staircase steps, very delightful place when you reach after the strain from staircase.
Lot of unshaped rocks will be there near falls, you've to be very careful while moving around.
Sathiaseelan T — Google review
This is just osum. Good place to visit.
The journey to reach this falls is good trekking experience. You will feel motivated, wondered and also exhausted at sometimes 😄
People who can't walk much due to illness, health issues or age, please avoid as we need to walk in steps for a Kilo Meter and steps are quite big at some point and quite perpendicular.
Kalai Arasan — Google review
Good place to visit and though for elders. But in general manageble for people who are active. There a string attached to get near to the waterfalls and metal bars to hold. It comes with its own risk so need to be careful while going to the fall. 600 steps to waterfall and climb back another 600 to top, so be ready for it.
Thamaraiselvan G — Google review
Best way to enjoy the nature, though it has 1196 steps to reach this place. The moment you see the falls you will forget everything and the energy you get around will blow your heart.
Best time to visit during weekdays less crowd and you can spend more time
Adhidhya Kugan — Google review
Overall experience 8/10.
The falls is really awesome one but better visit during the rainy season as it would be been more filled with water.
One can stand under the falls and experience much more. They have put a rope so that you can go and stand under the falling water.
No washrooms or dress changing rooms available for anyone.
The most biggest drawback is the pathway to reach the falls.
If you are not used to walking for long distances then DO NOT opt for this at all.
There are 1196 stairs. First one needs to climb down and it is very very steep and then reach the falls later climb back as well. Since we climb down first your legs would hurt badly after that , I have a muscle catch and my legs became stiff. Very painful the next day as well.
Entry ticket 30/adult and 20/child.
No carrying water bottles and if you are carrying they will add a sticker and take 10 6 and then refund the same once you show them the bottle while exit .
Timings are from 6am to 3pm only after that not allowed inside as it might get dangerous.
Overall ok if you exercise regularly or walk then you would love it
Best time to visit monsoon or raining.
Time duration takes almost one hour for one side.
Priyanka Venkatswamy — Google review
One of the best waterfalls in Tamil Nadu dripping from a height of 300 feet , one has to trek down about 1300 steps to reach the waterfall .
There are changing rooms for ladies at the foothill of the waterfalls.

It is located at about 12 kms. from Coonoor bus stand. It is a unique rock of tremendous proportions, jutting out of the face of hill side in the formation of Dolphin's Nose. The view here is extremely grand. Left and right are great ravines, on one side is seen an excellent view of the magnificent St. Catherine’s Falls with their stream continuing several thousand metres below, while on the other, the familiar Coonoor stream meets the stream from Kotagiri. They together contribute to the great Bhavani river. A must visit place.

Brookefields is a big shopping mall in Coimbatore that offers a good variety of brands-name retailers, a food court, cinema and a children's play area. It is really popular with Coimbatore residents, as everyone can buy the branded items they need here from the shops like Rmkv, Fast Track etc. There is also a decent food court available with some good restaurants. Multiplex theaters are available for watching movies.
Biggest mall in Coimbatore.
I enjoyed the mall so much. One of the best hangout place to enjoy with friends.More showrooms, PVR cinemas are good, enjoyed snacks and food in restaurants and finally the Fun games are good .

One of the best mall in south TN. Parking here on week end is hectic. Lots of branded shops are here. But all the prices are highly expensive. Walking on one complete circle in each floor is approximately 400m. Every where good lift and escalator available. Food court is neatly maintained. But some shops asking bill in UPI payment only.

It's a very big mall in coimbatore locality and where many fashion shops like trends and for every brand there is seperate shops and snow world fantasy and foodcourt such as burger King,Domino's and play zone for both kids and adults and good place to timepass here and chill the day with friends and have to spend nearly 4-5 hrs to complete the visiting of every shop in that mall and take many hours to finish the shopping and in that every items are expensive to buy and I visited the mall for the first time......

Having Spacious food court as well.
Cine halls are also there.

Good parking facility.
Only disadvantage i feel is that their lifts, which is little annoying as compared with the other lifts.
Always Crowded.
Busy area.

With a diverse array of stores, from popular brands to local gems, it caters to various shopping preferences. The modern architecture and spacious layout create an inviting atmosphere.
The dining options are a highlight, providing a range of culinary delights in the food court and restaurants. Whether craving international cuisines or local flavors, there's something to suit everyone.
The mall's entertainment offerings, including a multiplex cinema, add an extra layer of enjoyment, making it not just a shopping destination but also a place for leisure and recreation.
During peak times, like weekends, it can get crowded, but the overall design helps manage the flow of visitors. Adequate parking facilities contribute to the convenience of the shopping experience.
While individual store experiences may vary, Brookfields Mall stands out as a vibrant hub in Coimbatore, offering a blend of retail therapy, delicious dining options, and entertainment for a satisfying visit.

Nice experience. It's a pretty decent mall with nice ambience.
The food court was good with wide variety of food to try.
The only con is there were very small theatres for telugu movies to watch it. But it kinds felt like a private home theatre.
And there are book stalls where prices are too much.
Overall good.
Can explore whenever you are bored.

In the center of Coimbatore, this mall is among the greatest and biggest, well-kept ones. There are four floors total, including three basements. There are numerous stores, including department stores, food courts, mobile shops, cosmetics, eyewear, and electronics. There are theaters, banquet spaces, and more. Kids can also enjoy themselves in Fun City. The basement has a large car park area. Additionally, there is Spar Supermarket. There are automated teller machines. Each floor has its own restrooms. What else can I say? Just have fun exploring.

.
The security and all things are properly maintained plus the neatness in the mall is good too .
.
Alternative parking for two wheelers is available .
.
The food court is Fantastic lots of shops available .
.
The newest McCafe addition is wonderful too .
.
Some shops might require the Brooks card..then reputed shops like kfc ,mcds and such don't need the brooks card .
.
Toilets and wash areas are well maintained too.
.
Overall Excellent place would recommend Brookfield always
It’s in the heart of the city anna easily accessible
Clean and nicely maintained
Caring staffs. Even says not to send kids alone in escalators and stop if any kids tries to enter.
Fun city in mall has play area good enough for 5 year kids

Nice and quiet big mall. One will find shops of all reputed brands. Good and spacious food court, with variety of options. Washrooms are clean. Good parking space. Only flip side is - the exit becomes crowded in the evening and it is difficult to catch uber, ola, redtaxi from the exit that time (evening). Enjoy 👍

The Eachanari Vinayagar Temple, located in Coimbatore, is a historic temple dedicated to Lord Ganesha. The temple's tower is intricately carved and draws visitors from all over the world due to its splendid architecture and peaceful ambiance. According to legend, the temple's 6-feet tall Vinayaga idol was being transported to another location when it got stuck at its current location after the cart's axle broke.
Located on national highway NH209. Vinayagar statue in almost 6 feet, we can worship the god from a distance without hassle.
Well maintained temple. A beautiful temple with good ambiance . Every day Ganapathy homam is performed. Powerful and vibrant Vinayagar
Must visit place and it is only 15 Km away from Coimbatore.
This Temple is opened from 5am everyday and is closed at 10pm without any break of worship time.

This is very famous temple in coimbatore. People come here from many places to worship god Vinayaka. For new vehicles, new business come here for special pooja. In the side there is sacred fig tree under which naagar statues are present. It will be cool inside the temple always and is not closed in afternoons. This temple has golden chariot, goshala, flower garden, yagasala, a shop having spiritual book, holy threads and vinayaga's photos. This temple is very spacious and not so crowded in weekdays except on monthly chaturthi's. Every day annadhanam is offered in afternoons. Restrooms are available here.

This place is BLISS. Actually, we went on Monday. There were very less crowd.
We saw the God with peace.
Vinayagar here is big and so beautiful. The temple is wide and windy which give your soul relief!
This place has inbuilt Mandapam for marriage functions and avail annadhanam.
Also, I saw there were little maintenance work going in there for enhancement.
Facilitated with parking for both two and four wheeler.
You can wash your legs before entering the temple.
Shops available nearby to buy poojai items.
Separate place to break coconut which is located nearby Arasamaram Vinayagar.
Restrooms and wash area are available.
We went from Prozone mall to this location by using Google Maps, which was really helpful.
Happy visiting this place 😊

We went on Tuesday evening around 7 pm it was abisshegam time & mentioned golden chariot will begin at 7.15 so we waited and they opened by 7.40 & Rs 20 special ticket is not worth usually they will take us near Vinayagar but now for this ticket you can should stand inside next to free Darshan.

Eachanari Vinayagar temple was unique of its own because of its location as well as the ample space around. Before the puliyakulam vinayagar this was in place I remember the age old traditional structures around, when there were no flyovers it will be too crowded.
Now recently the flyover actually helps us to peacefully park our vehicle and get into the temple.
Ticket for vehicle Pooja - Rs.20
Outside shops:
Coconut plate - Rs.100
Garland for car & 5 lemons - Rs.380 (Very over priced )
The temple was sparking clean and we had a peaceful Dharshan as well did the Pooja for our new vehicle without any hassles. May be just it was the next day to pongal it was not that crowded.
A calm and soulful experience! ❤️🌾💐

Om Maha Ganadhipathaye Namaha !
Peaceful temple. Whenever we buy a vehicle its a mandatory feel comes to heart that we should visit God Ganapathy here and get his blessing. Blissful temple.
One thing about the pooja items shop in front of the temple is , they are cheaters selling one lotus and handful of arugampul for Rs.80, also 5 lemons and a small coconut for Rs.70, so you can get things from your home or other shops while coming to temple itself. These shops keepers have that attitude, if you want then buy else go because we don't lose anything because of you. So better don't buy anything.

The location of DHYANALINGAM is suggested to be conducive for peaceful meditation. The presence of a Shiva linga adds to the calming environment, which could help in attaining inner peace. It is recommended that individuals spend at least 10 minutes meditating here, while maintaining absolute silence. Consistent practice of meditation at this place may aid in achieving mental tranquility over time.

Well, big land converted to a religious place having Lor Shiva's statue 🙏 but other than the statue, it is just a place where you can enjoy some food, have shower, and see bullock cart. Lastly a Dome, also called Dhyanlinga where you can sit and meditate. It can also be done at home for people who don't know. Try this, go back home and close your eyes, empty your mind and call upon whoever you worship. God is within you.
They have SAVE SOIL slogan and they love animals. There is bullock cart in 50° degrees carrying passengers from one place to the other. I mean we have battery cars and golf cars but they love animals and want them to know that they are loved deeply. Lets make these poor animals carry 9 people at once under the 50° degree sun. Touche!
Tradition can be supported with technology too, we don't need to harm animals this way. We could barely walk in the sun and these poor animals were carrying so many people. God forgive these people who are doing this to animals 🙏
BATH FACILITY - We had shower in the morning so we didn't go shower here. I mean it's not elixir otherwise we would have definitely.
DHYANLINGA - the road (walk only) leads to dhyanlinga but when its nearly 50° degrees, it makes it difficult to walk barefoot on the UNEVEN and hot surface. They could have put Carpet on the foor covering uneven surface but i guess they were short of funds and also they wanted you to feel the culture. You are going to feel that culture the next day too when your feet hurts. There were old people walking slowly and some of them were pouring water on the floor to walk on that hot surface. It was 3PM and Carpet is a must for people who aren't used to walking on the uneven hot surface.
Finally when you reach dhyanlinga, they will force you to sit inside dome and meditate. We recently had an accident and couldn't sit on floot so they forced us to sit on the chair. We didn't want to be rude so we sat for 2 minutes. There was a small baby crying very softly and these CARETAKERS asked the lady to get out pointing finger as if she made a huge mistake. If they can't respect humanity, what good will come of anything they practice in life. We saw that and immediately stood up. 2 of them tried blocking our way. Well, just to be clear, We bow to God only and there was no God here. We are not slaves they need to get this to their heads. We left instantly without responding to them.
By the way, the best feeling was when we bought 3 packets of biscuits and made the dog eat. He was very happy and kept coming back to give his love. That was the only good feeling we got. We made sure the dog wasn't hungry anymore and then left back for the hotel.
Canteens are everywhere so don't worry if you miss one. There are more on the way. Also phones were not allowed but we noticed some of them carrying it quietly with them. The deposit box is safe. They take your photo and phone number. So nothing to worry about.

I’m reviewing about a unique 'space' on our planet. It needs some introduction.
I’ve a great respect for Tamil people. They follow their age old culture and traditions even today.
Countless Sages & realized beings have illuminated this land since time immemorial.
Sage Agastya , (who wrote our horoscopes in palm leafs known as Nadi Astrology thousands of years ago. Even foreigners come to places like Tanjore to get their horoscope)
Thiruvalluvar, Ramana Maharshi, the great Mahavatar Babaji (I was initiated to Babaji’s Kriya Yoga by Sri M),
Bhogar (It was Bhogar who first noticed the presence of Murugan, the son of Lord Shiva at Palani and made an Idol for him using ‘navapashanas’ or 9 poisons, When these 9 poisons are mixed in a certain proportion, it can heal all ailments)
and finally Lord Shiva himself spent some time on Velliangiri Mountains to grieve his lover’s death. (His wife Parvathi took the life of a Tamil girl in one of her previous life known as Devi Kanya Kumari). That is why this place is known as the Kailash of the South.
Even Sadhguru , in his previous life left his body on Velliangiri mountains. That is the reason he built Isha Yoga Centre just near the velliangiri mountains.
I’ve been longing to visit Dhyanalinga Temple and spent some time inside it since I hear about Sadhguru and read his biography, ‘Sadhguru, More than a Life’. .
We’ve thousands of temples all over the country, but there is one and only one Dhyanalinga Temple. It’s unique.
There is no idol or deity of any kind inside. Only a cylindrical shaped linga with 7 chakras or energy centres as of in a human system with all the chakras energized to its fullest and traped in the linga by sadhguru using his yogic power. It’s a pure energy work.
If anyone who haven’t even heard of mediation comes and sits in front of the linga in silence, he automatically falls to meditation. So Dhyanalinga is also known as meditating machine. Dhyanalinga temple has an important role to play for the centuries to come ahead.
As there is no idol of any kind inside, no rituals are required here.
There is no need to pray inside the temple, just sit in silence. The dhyanalinga will lay the ‘Egg of liberation’ within us. It’ll accelerate our spiritual evolution.
I visited here on Jan31, 2021. Due to corona pandemic, there were many restrictions. Suryakund etc were kept closed however Dhyanaligna Temple was open.
I wasn’t prepared for this journey. I accidentally reached Coimbatore with a friend who wanted to meet his girl friend studying in some college here. We had liquor and non veg food previous days. Yet it was a wonderful experience inside the temple.
If one comes well prepared (having veg foods, little mediation etc), one may have mystical experiences inside the temple.
I was in Coimbatore last week also, but I couldn’t visit Isha Yoga Centre. I’ll be coming here soon with a little bit of preparation.
Pranam Sadhguru

The credit to all the information I shared here goes to Sadhguru himself, he is a living encyclopedia.
I’ve added a photo of Dhyanalinga taken from the internet.

You may have gone to too many temples for seeking health, children, money, marriage issues and they may or may not have helped you to find solutions. But this is of a different kind of temple. You must visit this temple If you are in so much pain of any kind and have not found solutions. If you are sensitive then it's energies will definitely shake your being. Absolutely stunning place to visit once in a lifetime. This is a meditation hall with residences around for the people who visit this place for a purpose. Camera, phones, bags and footwear are not allowed but there is a stall right at the entrance to submit these materialistic stuffs. Basically it's somewhat like leaving all material things behind to enter this area. This is run by the Isha foundation and it is just a km away from the Adiyogi statue. Dhyanalinga is the main highlight of this area where people just sit across the huge linga and meditate as much longer as they want. This is a very peaceful place to be around with all the people doing yoga and meditating in the premises. Must visit!

You will generally walk into one direction making way past across all the Kunds, Temple etc. while before exiting once you look on your right there is an entrance which will lead you to enter Dhyanalinga which at first glimpse will look like the best thing your eyes has ever laid upon. The place maintains complete silence as it usually a place where people meditate in silence.

Dhyanalinga Situated around 30 kilometres from the city of Coimbatore, the Dhyanalinga Temple is a place made up of yogic science. Not belonging to any faith or belief, the Dhyanalinga was made and blessed by Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev. Just silently meditating for a while within the sphere of Dhyanalinga is enough to make one aware of the divine energy.

One of a kind meditation place. Mobile phones and plastic bottles are not allowed inside. Absolute silence to be maintained during the visit of this temple. No chanting or anything to be done during your meditation; just need to sit with your eyes closed and palms facing upwards. Initially we are supposed to stare at the linga for 2 minutes, and then close our eyes and meditate for as long as we want, but minimum of 15 minutes which will be intimated by ringing of a bell.

Adiyogi - The Source of Yoga is a religious organization that houses a colossal steel statue of the Hindu deity Shiva, standing at an impressive height of 112 feet. It is tucked away from the directions provided by Google Maps, and visitors are advised to come in the morning or evening as there are no shades to protect from the sun. The tranquil atmosphere makes it ideal for meditation and yoga while also serving various purposes.

Adiyogi in Coimbatore is best visited on weekdays or non-public holidays to avoid large crowds that can disrupt the experience of embracing Yogi culture. However, for casual visits, the crowd might not be an issue. Plan your trip accordingly, noting the numerous signboards available in case you get lost. There are plenty of parking lots, albeit paid, and facilities such as washrooms, food counters, and souvenir shops. It would be great if visitors could maintain a peaceful atmosphere, especially to not disturb others engaged in yoga or meditation

Place is full of positive energies and divinity. While watching shiva statue literally had goosebumps. They have bus facilities. Auto and cab will be expensive. Would love to visit again. You can sit and meditate. Place is really beautiful. Can't explain in words. One should experience.

Great place to visit. It's good for doing meditation. There is a spiritual atmosphere here. The giant statue of Adiyogi is a great attraction. The hotel inside the Isha Centre is clean and the price is economical. Most of the employees are friendly. There was no proper lighting when we walk from the Serpent entrance to the Adiyogi Statue during late evening. I feel it's little risky during that time. It will be good with better lighting in that area. Overall, the experience is great!

This place has the purest air and the most positive vibes. For all those who believe that a place can also be a factor to change your soul, must visit this place. Don't forget to sit and do a little bit of dhyan in this place, you will feel the difference 😊😊
Avoid in the sunny days as the cool Breeze might be missing but when it's cloudy or cold this place is heaven. Try reaching here when the crowd is little less may be on weekdays or early morning.
This place is amazing.

An architectural masterpiece of 112 feet Adiyogi. Adiyogi is situated in the middle of all hills. You have to go almost 8 to 10 KM inside from NH44 highway. Ample amount of car parking, electric buggies, and Carts pulled by bulls to transport from the parking place to the statue. The overall experience was great . There are a lot of food stalls and the prices are very nominal. It’s a free entry monument. The yoga center offers a serene retreat for spiritual seekers. The merchandise shopping allows you to buy different things. Better to visit in the evening, you can see the laser light show in the statue, it will start around 7:10pm everyday.

The most peaceful place I’ve ever been to. Saadhguru has such an amazing initiative of save the soil. Please go to the main temple first have a bath in the holy waters and sit and meditate but before doing so you need to deposit your mobile phone and bags(extremely safe and easy). You will be surprised how your meditation goes it felt like 5 minutes for me but I was in deep meditation for hours. It is stunning and peaceful inside. Pray nicely and channel your inner energy here. There are lovely food places inside the main temple which you could indulge in and it’s also cheap. The Adiyogi statue lights up at night from 19:20pm and they have a laser lights show for about 20 minutes or so which is so stunning it is state of the art technology and so insightful. Please support this and donate if you can.

NB: Don't take the direction shown by Google map, it will lead you to a dead end(from my experience) .
Adiyogi is a perfect place with greenery and peaceful atmosphere. The place will be crowded most of the time.
Better to visit here on mornings/evening as there are no shades to protect from sun.
Plenty of parking places and places available for meditation and yoga.
The place can be utilised for many purposes.
Parking fee of ₹30 to be paid, and no other entry fees.

It would be great if visitors could maintain a peaceful atmosphere, especially to not disturb others engaged in yoga or meditation.

This statue deserved a 5 star rating. I didn't observe anything negative which I can mention here. The path that leads to the statue is clean and water tanks are installed on the way. You'll come here from the back of Shivji and then at the front you can either sit or stand to attend the show.
The light and sound show is amazing. The sound quality of the speaker is good. The story they tell is amazing. Although instead of english and the local language, it'll be good if the whole show is elaborated in hindi. One can come here to enjoy the light and should show experience.

A very beautiful and calm place. There are a lot of things to visit, so plan to reach the place by 2 PM if you want to cover all the places. Apart from the beautiful statue, there is Isha foundation - a 10 min walk from the statue - which has different temples and places for meditation which is maintained by the foundation.
There is enough space for parking and the people here are very helpful and patient. A bit far from the main city but worth it!

You have an option to reach the main place by front and back gate by vehicle where you have to pay 20 ₹ (but the electric vehicle guy charged us double , nominal charge and followed by an additional charge for themselves) .
Also you have an option of bullock cart.

Yesterday’s visit to the Isha Yoga Center was an experience that stands out in my memory. Nestled at the foothills of the Velliangiri Mountains, the center exudes a tranquil energy that is both grounding and uplifting.
The highlight of my visit was the Adiyogi Shiva statue. Towering at 112 feet, it is a sight to behold and serves as a powerful reminder of the yogic sciences’ potential for transformation. The sheer scale and artistry of the statue left me in awe, and the peaceful surroundings provided a perfect backdrop for some quiet reflection.
The Dhyanalinga was another profound experience. Sitting in its presence, I could feel a deep sense of peace that is hard to put into words. It’s a space that seems to cut through the noise of daily life and invites you into a moment of stillness.
The center is well-maintained, and it’s evident that a lot of thought has gone into creating an environment that supports self-discovery and spiritual growth. From the Nada Aradhana to the Pancha Bhuta Kriya, every element is designed to facilitate a deeper connection with oneself.
In conclusion, my visit to the Isha Yoga Center was a journey into tranquility and self-awareness. It’s a place I would recommend to anyone looking for a pause from the hustle and bustle of life to reconnect with their inner self

Anaimalai Tiger Reserve is a nature reserve that houses an array of wildlife, including elephants and tigers. Visitors can enjoy animal encounters such as elephant rides and have the opportunity to spot these creatures both during the day and at night. The park offers off-road excursions and trekking spots with guidance from forest department officials who collect fees at various points. Additionally, Anaimalai is known for its coconut production, accounting for 75% of all coconuts in Pollachi.
Nice place to chill over the weekends. We can see elephants live feeding at the camp, other wild animals like bison, deer, bird varieties, monkeys(not the one's that we usually see), wild squirrels, wild elephants etc.
Try to be here early as possible, maybe around 6.30 so that you can see wild animals inside the reserve.

The Anamalai Tiger Reserve, more famously known as the Indira Gandhi Wildlife Sanctuary and National Park, located in the south of India is a unique reserve which has long since protected the endemic species of both plants and animals that reside here.
The reserve was officially declared a Tiger Reserve in the year 2007. It lies in the Western Ghats which is a well-known hotspot for biodiversity. This also means that the species found in the tiger reserve are truly endangered and often rare and in need of protection. A visit to Tamil Nadu will never be complete without visiting the Anamalai Tiger Reserve that has been the constant state's companion since its establishment in the year of 1848. The reserve’s unique location also makes it a gathering spot for many nature lovers and photographers that wish to witness the marvels of the reserve while also taking in the marvels of the landscape surrounding it. Another aspect that makes the reserve truly unique is the fact that it is also an anthropological reserve and hosts around six different tribal groups, one of which is endemic to the area. When visiting the reserve individuals are sure to witness at least a few things that would hold their interest and have them delving deeper into the reserve.

The drive from Anamalai to Parambikulam is filled with greenary and is quite peaceful and relaxing
By the mid-1800s, large tracts of Valparai plateau in the Anamalais were under intense tea or coffee plantations after deforestation of the natural forests. By 1866 two-thirds of the plantations were owned by Europeans and the remaining by Indians from coastal towns. Since most native inhabitants either refused to work or were inefficient workers, labour for plantations was brought from the plains of Tamil Nadu to clear forests and grow coffee.
Some parts of the forest however were reserved for timber including large areas around Top Slip. This part of the Western Ghats, under the Madras Presidency were exploited extensively for teak which was supplied to the Bombay Dockyard for shipbuilding and later for railroad ties.
In 1855, this area came under sustainable forest management for teak plantations by the pioneering efforts Douglas Hamilton and H. F. Cleghorn of the new Tamil Nadu Forest Department. In the early 1900s, protection of the Karian shola was also ensured.
The area was notified as Anaimalai Wildlife Sanctuary in 1974. of its unique habitats at 3 places – Karian Shola, Grass hills, Manjampatti Valley were notified as a National Park in 1989. The 108 square kilometres (42 sq mi) National Park is the core area of the 958 square kilometres (370 sq mi) Indira Gandhi Wildlife Sanctuary.IGWS was declared a Project Tiger tiger reserve in 2008.
The Park and the Sanctuary is under consideration by UNESCO as part of The Western Ghats World Heritage Site. The Sanctuary and the Palni Hills in Dindigul District form the Aanaimalai Conservation Area.[9]

The Palakkad Fort, which has been preserved since 1766 CE, contains a garden and pathways for walking. Additionally, there is a temple dedicated to Hanuman and a playground on the premises. Although its early history remains largely unknown, the fort holds great historical significance. Many Malayalam films have been filmed here making it quite popular as well.
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Palakkad Fort in the evening, and it proved to be a delightful experience. This historic fort not only offers a glimpse into the past but also provides a serene and airy atmosphere, perfect for a leisurely walk and a breath of fresh air.
As I entered the fort, I was immediately struck by its architectural beauty and rich historical significance. The well-preserved fort walls, bastions, and gateways exuded a sense of grandeur and stood as a testament to the region's cultural heritage. It was fascinating to explore the various sections of the fort, each with its own story to tell.

Palakkad Fort, also known as Tipu's Fort, is a historic fortress located in the town of Palakkad in Kerala, India. The fort has historical significance and is a popular tourist attraction in the region.
The fort was constructed by Hyder Ali, the ruler of Mysore, in the 18th century and later expanded by his son, Tipu Sultan. It is a well-preserved structure that reflects the architectural style of that era. The fort is characterized by its massive stone walls, bastions, and a large moat surrounding it, which was once filled with water.
Here are some key aspects of Palakkad Fort:
1. Historical Significance: The fort played a crucial role in the history of Kerala as it served as a strategic military base for Hyder Ali and Tipu Sultan. It witnessed many battles and was an essential part of their defense in the region.
2. Architectural Charm: The fort's architecture is a blend of Mysorean and European styles. It features large stone walls, intricately designed doors, and a well-planned layout that includes a mosque and granaries.
3. Museums: Inside the fort, there are two museums, the Palakkad Fort Museum and the District Historical Museum. These museums house a collection of artifacts, weaponry, and historical items that provide insights into the region's history.
4. Scenic Surroundings: The fort is surrounded by lush greenery and gardens, making it a pleasant place for a leisurely stroll and exploration.
5. Accessibility: Palakkad Fort is easily accessible from the town center and is a popular destination for both history enthusiasts and tourists.
While the fort is historically significant and provides a glimpse into Kerala's past, it's not as grand or imposing as some other forts in India. Nonetheless, it's worth a visit if you are in Palakkad and interested in history and architecture. The fort's tranquil surroundings and the opportunity to learn about the region's history make it a worthwhile stop for travelers.

Though seeing students in corners making out does put you in spot especially when with your kids. There's enough space to keep on moving & exploring 😄... Good views from fort tops... One can feel relaxed. Parking is ample and it's charged. Beside the fort there's a garden. We had to leave unfortunately to reach another place so couldn't explore it. I recently visited the historical fort in Palakkad, and it's another great spot for family and friends to explore. The presence of a temple inside the fort adds to its cultural significance. One of the positive aspects is the ample car parking area and the availability of toilet facilities, making the visit more convenient. The fort also caters to families with children by providing a nearby park. However, one significant downside is the early closing time of 5 pm, even on holidays. This early closure negatively impacts tourism, as many visitors may prefer to explore the fort later in the evening. It would be beneficial if they extended the visiting hours on holidays, perhaps until 7 pm, to better accommodate tourists and enhance the overall experience.

Fort is almost well maintained, but some area in the backside is filled with creepers and shrubs. Also a temple is situated inside this fort building. Rock pillars and other structures in the fort makes it attractive. Now it is maintained by archeological survey of India. It is just 5 kilometres away from palakkad junction railway station, which costs a rs 13 in local bus ( in 2023). Buses are continuously available from entrance of the railway station itself.

The Palakkad Fort is an ASI protected monument, maintained well. There is a lack of signboards which hinders wayfinding. The huge canopy of the tree provides shade and serene atmosphere.
The entry ticket is Rs.25/-. Opening time is from 8.30am to 5.30pm

The Aliyar Dam is a picturesque waterway surrounded by mountains, gardens, and parks. Visitors can enjoy the beautiful Valparai hills view from the top of the dam while children can play in the park. The area is also popular for movie shootings and offers several hotels and tea shops nearby. Though entry fees are high, ample parking space is available. Weekend getaways are possible with bakeries located close to the dam.
A vast water body in the foothills of Valparai. Situated between mountains, this place looks extravagant and large. There is a long road on the banks of this place, you can have a long walk if you are fit enough. When you visit this place, you can remember seeing the place in many tamil movies.
They have a small park and play srea for kids. The surrounding area is full of trees and lots of eateries serving fish dishes.
From the base area to the top, there are steep steps which would feel little hard for older people. But the view on top is great and worth the climb. If lighting is good, this place can be a good place for photography. Also, the surrounding mountains creates a good scenery.
When you climb up towards Valparai, you can have a gold glimpse of the full dam area. From hairpin bend 7 to 15. Be cautious if you are driving though.
One thing to note is that the staff in ticket counter would try to con you. They will chsrge 20rs for 1 mobile phone but will not give the ticket. Please ensure that you ask and get it.

Good view of Valparai hills from the dam. Can experience a scenic view from top. Park is available for children with average maintenance. Other than small river flows across the park. One of the most important movie shooting spots in Pollachi area. Hotels and tea shops are available outside the park. Parking is sufficient. Entry and parking charges are bit high. Can go for relaxed evening and morning.

This is one of the spots where we can visit during the journey to valparai. I recommend to visit either in the evening or morning due to the hot clomate there would be difficult for kids and elders.
A small climbing is needed to reach at the top of the dam and once reached the view would be amazing, boating facility is also available there.
Keep the necessary water and food with you as there is no snacks shops are available inside the dam premises.
Entrance is fee is 5rs per head and 20 rs for mobile photography.

Loved it. The arrangements were all so perfect that would give you a 3 star hotel's feel.
The forest department has been doing a great work.
Only thing that they need to change/arrange is, about the vehicle for safari. Not all the tourist come with an SUV or a off-road drivable vehicle.
So either they need to inform the tourist in advance or they should arrange some vehicle that can be taken off road inside forest.

Amazing experience!
I honestly didn't expect the hospitality, the food or the wilderness experience to be of that level. I was pleasantly surprised at how well curated it all is.
Right from the get go, a guide is assigned to you. This guide will be along with you during the safari, next day's early morning Trek and the bamboo rafting experience.
The guides only speak Tamil or Malayalam but are very knowledgeable and courteous.
The stay- it is well maintained, comfortable and the rooms are huge.
Food- There isn't a restaurant and it isn't A la carte but depending on your preference, they serve really tasty food in a buffet setting.
I am already planning my next trip!🙂

Well maintained stay by forest department. The package includes everything like food, guide, trekking, safari. The rooms are clean. AC and hot water are available. The staffs are mostly local people, and their behavior is so nice. Buffet food is also of good standard.
I heard some random people complaining that the room is not a standard one or don't have a rich look. But please keep in mind that this is in the middle of the forest, and there are no other accomodations available. So, obviously there will be a lot of expense to maintain these limited number of rooms. So, please don't compare this with resort stays.

It was a very good experience to stay in Honey comb.
We were a group of 14 adults and 7 rooms provided. Kids and infants were also there.
Rooms are equipped with AC and Water heaters.
Cleanliness was enough in the aspects of a forest stay, but not to an extent of resort.
Powercuts are usual and they have power backup. But it will run only for 6hours. Please check whether they have enough diesel for whole night while you enter for stay. They cannot arrange at night as no petrol pumps nearby. Otherwise You may have to face powercut in the night. Please carry torch lights as a must.
Only BSNL has coverage in this area and it will not work during powercuts. Wifi is there park entry after that wifi is also not available.
So you will be your own , an experience most of us are missing nowadays.
Mostquitos and other insects were very less, nevertheless carry any repellents.
Place is safe to stay in terms of wildlife movement.
Food was good and safe, staffs also very helpful and they provided all the necessary help for infants like hot water. But again don't expect a resort kind of experience. They have all the shortcomings of a government run facility.
Safari was okeyish type as animal sighting is less compared to Bandipur.
Morning trekking was an excellent experience and we could sight elephants very close and the atmosphere was just awesome.
Boat safari is also really nice, but try to start the safari as early as possible.
Highly recommended if you have kids of growing and learning age. But carry all necessary things like medicines. Small tribal hospital is nearby but for small issues like fever and so on. Or they will shift you to Pollachi in an ambulance.
One more suggestion Tented Niche stay is also good, as they travel back from Parambikulam to anapady in late evening after safari. You have more chances of animal sighting.

The Sri Vadakkunnathan Temple in Thrissur, Kerala is an ancient Hindu temple believed to have been built by Parashurama. It is one of the oldest temples in the state and serves as an icon of the city, which derives its name from "the city of sacred Shiva". The temple features impressive wood and stone architecture on a nine-acre walled patch of green. The annual festival called pooram attracts devotees from all over the world.

A big complex of three core temples, and many other shrines around it on a large park on top of a scenic hillock. Shiva as Vadakkunnathan is the primary deity and He faces west here. He is in the form of a linga manifested by layers of solid Ghee. Hood of a multiheaded Cobra hovers over Him. When the deity is decorated with gold cladding, the sight is so beautiful and divine.
Right behind this sanctum is the shrine of Parvathi, Shiva's consort, facing east. Very beautiful looking deity.
Next shrine is for Ganapathi, facing east. Next big shrine is for Shankarnarayana, a dual image of Shiva and Vishnu. The left half of the idol is female depicting Vishnu as Mohini. This beautiful deity faces west.
The third big shrine is for Sri Rama, standing majestically with His bow on His left hand.
Outside this main temple, around it on the parikrama, there are shrines for Krishna, Ayyappa, Parasurama, Adhi Shakara and many more. The walkway around the temple, by itself is a very pleasant one.

The Aanayoottu of feeding of elephants, is the second biggest festival held in the temple. The devotees refer to elephants as Lord Ganesh's incarnation. The festival falls on the first day of the month of Karkkidakam (timed against the Malayalam calendar), which coincides with the month of July. It has been the regular annual practice at the temple for the last 20 years to conduct a large-scale Ashta Dravya Maha Ganapathy Havana and Aanayoottu on the first day of the Karkidakom month of the Malayalam calendar. It involves a number of unadorned elephants being positioned amid a multitude of people for being worshipped and fed. A large number of people throng the temple to feed the elephants.

Vadakkumnathan temple is located at the bustling heart of the city, and I must say it's a truly unique and exceptional place. Despite the constant hustle and bustle of traffic just outside its gates, stepping into the temple felt like entering a different world altogether.
The serene and peaceful atmosphere within the temple was astonishing, providing a stark contrast to the noise and commotion of the city. It was as if the chaos of the outside world ceased to exist the moment I crossed the threshold. The feeling of calmness that enveloped the temple was truly remarkable, making it a perfect refuge for those seeking a peaceful escape from urban life.

Dry and water rides are amusing. Due to Christmas, new year, and vacation for students crowd size is too high and so the wait is long for each ride. Food items inside shops are very high. Reaching here: Its located a little far from the city so it's better you use Google maps to get here. Roads are decently good so shouldn't be very difficult.
Parking: There is ample parking and staff to guide you to the appropriate parking spot.
Booking tickets: Recommend getting tickets on their website. There are ticket counters at the entrance too but the delays may be long, not because of staff manning the counter ( staff are very efficient) but mainly because there are people in queue who would like to have all their doubts regarding everything on this planet cleared before trying to figure out how many tickets they need to buy.
The rides: Once you but the tickets, you can enter the park and take all the rides for free. There are enough staff members to ensure the safety of kids and adults alike. The rides appear well-maintained and the average wait-times are clearly stated at the entrance to each ride. Other than adult rides, there are sufficient number of land and water rides exclusively meant for kids, so kids will enjoy the experience too.
Important: for the water rides, you and kids need to have swimwear, if you don't have them, you can buy them for a reasonable cost ( a few hundred rupees, based on your size) from the shops within the park itself.
Food: You can select food options at the time of buying tickets( which will cost extra) or you can simply walk into the restaurants and juice bars inside the park and buy and pay for what you like. Food was of good quality and was surprisingly, reasonably priced.
You can also buy curios and other things from the shops there as well.
Definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended.

The best place for one day trip.
They offer a wide range of rides.
I suggest fastrack tickets on weekends it's make you easy to reach rides.the water rides and land rides are awesome especially the land rides named ,Equinox 360,Recoil, Maverick .But the food costs are too expensive in there.their service and hospitality are good

It was a terrific adventure.
It's one of South India's greatest water and adventure theme parks.
Many individuals and families are arriving from various states.
It's a good value for money spot to enjoy and unwind.
It is mostly focused on water pools and other adventure rides.
Every ride is busy, and there is a long line for each one.
Every ride offers a unique experience, and it's a lot of fun.
I advise everyone to wear nylon-type clothing indoors.
Inside the park, everything, including food and drinks, is doubled in price.
We are having such a fantastic time here.

Great place to enjoy some memorable times with your friends and family.
The swings and roundabouts are fun but not for people with feeble mind and heath issues. So make sure you are 100% fit before getting on those thrilling rides.

Wonderla, previously called Veegaland, has always been an amazing spot since we were kids. It's great that it still keeps up its quality. It's easily the best amusement park in India, with lots of rides and water activities. They keep updating the rides, so there's plenty to do. You might need more than a day to try everything if you plan carefully.
Tip: Start with water activities, then try the other rides. Staying till closing time means shorter lines for the big rides after 5 PM. If you can't stay late, consider the Fastrack ticket for faster access to rides (25% reservation). Begin with the water activities until 2 PM, then take a break for lunch and a change of clothes before enjoying the non-water rides.
Prices change on weekdays and weekends. They often have special deals, like buy-one-get-one-free for men on 'Men's Day' and discounted tickets on Children's Day. Check their website before booking. Do bring lynon dress as cotton dresses are not allowed in pools.
It's a place where you can have a blast, no matter your age. Come and enjoy the fun at Wonderla!

Best amusement park in kerala since beginning till now without any serious competitors under visionary guidance of Chitilappaly. Getting updated and improved day by day. Nice place to spend a day. Can't be able to finish rides in a day.

It was a great experience ,lots of new rides every year. Some rides were quite crowded but there were plenty of options. One issue is the abhorrent odour coming from the drains and it would be amazing if that issue was addressed.

Nice place to visit with family👪 and friends🧑🤝🧑 both. I have visited 3-4 times but it never gets boring. It is easily approachable through public transport🚍. The rides🎢 there are so amazing that once you enter wonderla you will never think of getting back home. The ride which I like the most is 360 degree 🎡and but every ride is amazing and thrilling. And when it comes to safety the park is well equipped with helping staffs 🧑💼and the rides too are safe✅. Only thing i got disappointed with was the food🍛 section. It was overpriced📛 and not worthy for ₹320.

Wonderla Kochi is super fun! Awesome rides, lots of excitement, and everything is so clean. Great for everyone who loves having a blast. Totally recommend it! 🎢🎡🌟
A day well spent. It's not too big nor too small. One can cover and experience all the rides and shows in a day.
Abhyant Sahu — Google review
Best amusement park in Kerala till now. The roller coaster ride named Recoil was the mind blowing one. I give 5 on 5 to that ride. Then the water activities. Awesome experience with my friends and we enjoyed a lot. We tried another ride named space shuttle, OMG it was very wonderful. Finally the wave pool was also a nice experience
Arun Babu K — Google review
The rides are fun. But queues are long and literally half of the day gets wasted waiting in the queues for the rides. Also when I visited, some of the key attractions such as the main wave pool and other water rides were closed due to construction, so in such cases it should be mentioned on the website and ticket prices should be reduced adequately based on the ride(s) that are closed.
Be prepared for the expensive rates at the restaurants (inside wonderla). Despite being so pricey, the quantity and taste of the food is pathetic. The better one from the lot is
the hot dog (130 rupees).
But overall it was a fun day and a memorable experience. Definitely worth dedicating a whole day for this. A welcoming place to visit with your family and friends. The level of safety of the visitors ensured by the lifeguards is commendable and worth mentioning.
Steeve J — Google review
Great place for a one day relaxation.. Absolutely thrilling land rides and water rides. One of the major defect is the long que for every rides.Because of the long wait it is not possible to try all the rides. There is also more rides for kids too. So we can make our kids also occupied. It's a great option to spend time with your family.Food price is really expensive with avarage quality. It is better to visit there only after prebooking the tickets. Otherwise time will lost for entrance also. I personally enjoyed water rides a lot. Also try to avoid visiting during weekends and holidays since there will be most crowded on that time. Had a great experience in wonderla.

Cherai Beach, situated to the north of Vypeen Island in Kochi, Kerala, is a serene and picturesque destination popular among nature enthusiasts and honeymooners. The long stretch of sand offers opportunities for walking, swimming, shell collecting, and even dolphin sightings. Surrounded by coconut groves and paddy fields, the beach provides a tranquil escape with its clear waters that are perfect for a refreshing swim.
Very calm and full of nature beach.
Crabs, snails and other sea animals may seen all-around.

There are many restaurants and food stall near this beach. You can enjoy icecream with the beautiful view of the beach. A great beach, though it is narrow due to climate change and the rising ocean. A barrier has been built between the beach and the road so you need to climb up to get on the beach in some places.
But there is more than enough space to walk along the beach. The ocean here is pleasant and calm, perfect to swim or even just float. Sunsets were beautiful.

Beautiful beach at 25 kilometers from Kochi to Arabian sea at Kerala; it is 10 kilometers long & very popular tourist destination. Arabian sea looked calm & lot of people were enjoying playing with the waves. Sand at beach was good, we really enjoyed the fresh coconut water & flesh inside. A great place to enjoy while at Kochi of Kerala. Sun set view was really wonderful.

Nice beach to enjoy your evening. Moderately calm waters. Beach is clean and there are enough rocks to sit and enjoy the view. Gets crowded in the evening which spoils the experience a bit. The sunset was beautiful. It’s too far from Kochi and the taxi fare varies from INR 800-1200. During peak hours, it gets difficult to book Ola or Uber. Hiring a taxi for up and down is more convenient. There are shops near by from where you can buy beach dresses, towels, beach toys for kids etc. There are many food outlets near by to have food, which are average ‘daaba types’ and you will not find any fancy restaurants close to the beach. A few meters from the beach, there is a privately owned place that offers bathrooms to take bath and change your dress. It’s neat but not well maintained. Charges are nominal. Though it’s safe, you should make sure to go there when there are people around. Take care of your belongings. Overall, the experience was good and satisfactory!

It's very organized and everything is labeled, shelved easy to find. The staff are helpful too. Hypermarket aside, there are lots of branded shops with mostly quality products and services. If you're rich enough, you can afford these, but good thing is you get guarantee and loyalty points, etc. Food court also spacious and to some extent varieties of food stall. The stores there offer you a real variety of shopping experience. To see and enjoy everything there, you require atleast half a day to see every single corner of it. The shopping there seems to be a bit on the expensive. It also has a good entertainment zone for the kids and the family. Feeding rooms for new mothers, Clean washrooms, prayer rooms, friendly staff and best thing. The parking spots were fantastic.

The Lulu Mall is an excellent destination for all types of shopping, offering a wide range of products. Additionally, it boasts a diverse selection of food from various renowned brands. However, one aspect that requires attention is the parking fee, which is deemed unacceptable. It is disheartening that customers are being charged for parking, and it is imperative that the mall management reevaluates this system. A potential solution could involve implementing a revised approach, such as validating parking fees based on customers' bills. This would not only enhance customer satisfaction but also ensure a fair and reasonable parking experience for all patrons.

"Where the world comes to shop" is not just the tagline, it is happening here and one can witness it. A beautiful location which is very ideal. The Parking here is very big and you will be assigned an entry park at the entrance. Upon exit you have to pay the parking charges. This might be to avoid unnecessary wandering of people, but there must be an option to redeem the parking charges against the purchase bills/movie tickets.
Escalators, washrooms, and trail rooms are kept clean and the management is maintaining it regularly. Almost all international brands of all items are available here and customers have enough choices to look for. Some footwear brands are a bit costly compared to the online shops and rest everything is available at a reasonable price. Kerala's Folklore Museum is a large, state-of-the-art antique museum with a wide range of historical and cultural artifacts from across South India. The museum is located in Kochi on the Thevara Ferry Road, and opened to the public in 2009. It's an easy walk from Ernakulam railway station, and there are frequent buses available. The museum has a cafe and shop on site as well as a theater that hosts cultural performances throughout the evening.
The Kerala Folklore Museum is a fascinating cultural institution located in Kochi, Kerala, India. It showcases an impressive collection of traditional art, artifacts, and historical objects that depict the rich heritage and folklore of the region. Visitors can explore various exhibits displaying traditional costumes, masks, sculptures, musical instruments, and more, providing a glimpse into Kerala's vibrant culture and history. It's a must-visit destination for those interested in immersing themselves in the local traditions and folklore of Kerala.

They have a lot of antique things collection. Good place to visit.
Entry fee is ₹100. And if you want to take pictures then extra ₹100 for that. But it is worth visiting this place.
Ankit Kumar — Google review
It's a treasure trove of antiques. About 25000 items are stored in a not-so-random manner within the limited space. That space crunch is the only negative observation from my end, cause it lead us to not enjoy the splendid collections to their utmost glory. But I loved the artifacts and couldn't stop clicking pics. The 100 rupees spent on permission for using any camera (on phone or other devices) was most aptly justified for me. If you're looking for glimpses of Kerala's heritage in real life, don't miss this museum.

It’s a must in order to experience local culture. You can observe, not only Kerala elements, but also from other regions of Southern India. Please, don’t compare it with other museums that are state-supported. This is a private initiative held only by the willingness of a family. They deserve to be supported through the visit, which takes something around one hour. If you’re in Fort Kochi, take a bus to New Bridge. From there you can take a bus to the museum.

History, art, folklore through dollops of lifetime of passion by an individual.
Loads of historical artefacts squeezed in rather small place though the house itself is a traditional Kerala style home.
Wish they get a 10 times bigger space to display all the exhibits in a relaxed way with some explanation of each one including the era and the significance.
Exhibits displayed in 3 floors range from cookware, jewellery, idols in wood and stone, Hindu/ Christian/ Mughal religion building entrance, lamps and other artefacts.
Parking in front of entrance. Shoe racks for depositing shoes and seats to wear comfortably. Toilets in the back have sign that mainly meant for men.
Entrance fee Rs 100 per person and Rs 100 extra to use camera.

The Museum is located at Thevara, near to Thevara Ferry Junction. Parking space is available beside the compound. The entry fee is Rs 100. For photography you need to take an extra ticket. The museum is well curated and maintained by a private trust helmed by Mr George. The daily affairs and administration is handled by Mrs Annie George. The artefacts are mainly consisting of wooden sculptures, paintings, utensils, pottery, ancient artifacts, Jewellery and cutleries apart from attractive antiques. The items are arranged in three floors with arrangements for purchasing Jwellery and textile materials /souvenirs. The place may not be suitable for elderly people view steep staircases to top floors. The footwears are not allowed inside the museum complex, so one should be prepared for alternative arrangement if you need one. The place is worth watching.. Lot of efforts have been put in by the trust.. Kudos to the team who maintains this property..
Vinu Varghese — Google review
The entry ticket costs more than double for foreigners. The collection in the museum itself is exemplary. Many antique items from all over India. More astonishing is almost everything in this museum was sourced by one man, funded out of his own pockets.
Quick critique: The sheer volume of items in this place also detracts from the overall experience, as there is too much to see but not much opportunity to learn the detailed history behind each objects. I would prefer a historical museum with items arranged in chronological order instead of this haphazardness.
All things considered, this is still a recommended place to visit for visitors who enjoy antiques and local culture.

You can also purchase some of the exhibited items like Kerala sarees, jewellery, perfumes and some souvenirs like fridge magnets at rs 200 each.
You have to remove your shoes before entering the museum and have to climb the wooden stairs(safe for children and elderly people) to get to the different floors.

A must visit if you are in and around Kochi, if you love art, architecture, handicrafts, antiques, heritage. You can get tickets for ₹100 and they charge another ₹100 for photography. If you got a good cam, 100 for photography is a good deal, because the place is huge. It has three floors, each better than the rest. The antiques here are such a delight, each with its own story.

Awesome collection of artifacts from across the southern states of south India . You can see many different kinds of paintings, statues , scriptures and vintage relics . You can buy few things as well - they have one floor dedicated to excess stuff that is antique . Also you can buy locals art stuff and gold plated jewellery with semi precious stones .

This place is GREAT! I’m from Philippines and I really appreciated my visit here.
The people in charge are very accomodating and kind. The place itself is truly historical. I can’t believe they were able to preserve such ancient collections.
Thank you for the awesome experience!

A very unlike place that we got to visit in Kochi!!!
This privately set-up and managed museum of the rich and varied cultural heritage of Kerala is an experience of a new kind, indeed
The founder has undoubtedly made a valuable contribution to the nation by assembling and curating 30+ thousand artefacts and items of historical significance.
The beautiful wooden building with its exquisite carvings and enormous beams housing the three levels of exhibits by itself is a master display of the Malabar architecture.
The collections represent centuries of cross cultural and multi religious richness of Kerala.
Coins, jewellery, costumes, lifestyle items, pieces of earthenware and pottery constitute a major part of the museum.
It was well worth an experience spending about two hours trying to get at least a glimpse of the state's history.

Museum is located in the Cochin city. You will see the traditional arts, weapons, old statue Hindu gods. Museum is good but not worth according to entry fees of Rs. 100 per person. You can take photographs in mobile with extra charges which is not expected from management or owners of the museum. Shopping inside the museum is very costly don't go for it.. . .

Kerala Folklore Museum is a dream project of George Thaliath and his wife Annie George. It is a Museum of traditional local architecture as well as crafts, folk art & antiques, with a cafe & shop. Kerala Folklore Museum is next to the Ferry Junction in Thevara. It is open from 09:30 am to 06:00 pm. The entrance fee for adults is Rs.100/- and Rs.50/- for children. You have to pay Rs.200/- if you are a foreigner. It has been hugely successful in both preserving and showcasing splendid collections of the rich folklore of India.

A must visit place for historical artifact lovers... More than 40,000 artifacts collected by a single person in one place...Ticket price is Rs.100 per person and they'll allow camera at an additional Rs.100 (per group)... There are total 3 floors filled with items of historical interest...Must visit place in Kochi

Lots of very interesting and nice looking items. But they are not organized in a meaningful style. The place is packed with items and looks more like an antique shop than a museum. It's worth visiting though.

Good museum that has collection of old artefacts of Kerela state. It’s a private museum and has really high entry fee around 200 per person which is really not the worth also they charge additional 100 rupees for photography.
Apart from this they also have an exhibition sale where you can purchase clothes and jewellery inside the museum itself.
Pallavi Kshirsagar — Google review
The ticket cost is 200rs and 100rs extra for photography. They Have a lot of monuments , the museum covers total 3 floors , every floor has been inspired by different type of architecture. Better not to visit the 3rd floor as it is only a shop
Sarthak Ramteke — Google review
Had big expectations on this Kerala Folklore museum since it is in Top5 Cochin sight seeing suggestions in every website you visit. The ticket price is 200 per person (to my surprise in reviews posted earlier it states only 100 rs per person) and additional 100 rupees for taking photos inside. It contains one man's (proprietor's) 40 years hard work of collecting unique, antique and ancient objects. The objects like Urn, Knife, Photos, paintings, Statues, Ornaments, musical instruments, tables, ritual items, dress and much more are present here mainly. The building itself is made replicating of historical tradition of Malabar, Travancore style with antique door, staircases, ceiling, windows etc.
But wait..! Is that all worth your visit? My personal opinion is certainly not!! The place is so clumsy and doesn't resemble like a museum at all. The area is very smaller for a Museum and all the items are kept very congested, scattered and so dense which gives an experience of visiting a store room or antique collection auction area rather than seeing a museum. The representative ladies will give you a small briefing in 2 minutes when you enter each floor but no clue later what you are looking in to and no one will assist. You have to read through the description tag on each items to understand what it is. In the top floor they are selling jewels and dresses which means actually you have things to visit only in ground and 1st floor, the 2nd floor in a commercial store.
From my personal experience after visiting this spot I would say definitely it is a over rated spot..

Worth the visit if passing, but probably not heading over from Fort Kochi just to visit as we did. We were the only visitors, and it seems they are short of cash as they seem to be flogging off bits of the collection.

One of kind museum of rich Kerala and nearby states collection of folklore items. A lot of artifacts to go over and are very unique. Glad I could see and experience this museum in kochi. A lot of history is saved here and cultural immersion can be experienced.

The place was nice to visit, if you like antique and historical things then it's a must visit. There are a lot of historical things which have been collected and restored by the museum's founder . Many old murties of deities, swords of kings , their clothing and sculpture. The only thing I didn't like was that they charge 100 RS. More for photography

One of the must visit place in Kochi is Kerala Folklore Museum in Thevara. From the moment you step inside, you are transported into a world of captivating artifacts, traditional art forms, and historical treasures that beautifully showcase the essence of Kerala's folklore and traditions. The museum featuring a diverse range of exhibits including ancient sculptures, exquisite costumes, intricate wood carvings, musical instruments, and an array of everyday items that offer a glimpse into the daily lives of the people of Kerala through the ages. One of the highlights of the museum is its stunning architecture, which seamlessly blends traditional Kerala style with modern design elements. I wish they would get a 5 times bigger space to display all the exhibits in a relaxed way with some explanation of each one including the era and the significance. Here Exhibits displayed in 3 floors range from cookware, jewellery, idols in wood and stone, Hindu/ Christian/ Mughal religion building entrances, lamps and other artefacts.
On 1st & 2nd floors have some counters of traditional gift items. You can buy from them.
Entrance fee is Rs 200 per person and Rs 100 extra for photography.

Mattancherry Palace, also known as the Dutch Palace, is a Kerala-style palace with a rich history. Originally constructed by the Portuguese in 1555 and later renovated by the Dutch in 1663, it stands as a significant historical landmark in Kerala. The palace features exquisite architecture, artifacts, and paintings that depict scenes from the Hindu epic Ramayana. Located in Mattancherry near the Jewish Synagogue, this beautiful palace is a must-visit for those interested in history and culture.
Beautiful painting of mythology on walls and celling, old coins, stamp, murals, sculpture will take you hundreds of years back. Actually this place is more than museum. Amazing experience after seeing the oil painting with three dimensional effect.

It's a small palace converted into a museum. It is located in the first floor and the ticket counter is available there.
The entry ticket is ₹5 per head, which is very nominal. There is a QR code outside the palace using which we can pay and get the tickets.
The interiors of the palace looks good and photogenic otherwise there is nothing much to look at this palace. There are few guides in the museum, who will explain about the palace and the kings. There is a small pond near to it which adds to the beauty. There is also a temple next to it, where only Hindus are allowed.
There is an open parking space for this palace, where we can park our vehicles.
We visited here on Saturday. The place is open on Saturday, and it has been wrongly mentioned on Maps.
If you are here in Mattancherry, then you can pay a visit to this Palace. A small walk from here is the Jew Town and the Boating area.

Went in the morning where I didn't find it too crowded. Entrance fees is for ₹5. And its worth the money. You can get to know the ancient Cochin and traditions. You will literally go back to time when you walk in the palace. Photography is prohibited in some places. I would definitely recommend you to visit when you're in Kochi.

The weekends comes with a huge crowd,as well as congested traffic in front of the palace. The exterior consists of vast lawns, which is beautifully maintained.

Not much to watch here. Will only take less than 20 minutes to cover the entire area. Wont entertain you much, if you dont like history. A small temple is situated inside. 👍 place is located just near the jewtown road. Car Parking is available here.. 👍

We visited here on Sunday. Just check timings once. It's closed for one hour in the afternoon. You can visit Jew town and there is a Parsi museum at the end of Jew town.

The place is very quiet and calm with a lot of trees and benches to sir under. The place also has a good view of the nearby temple. The palace which is now converted into a museum has items on display which exhibit the history of Kochi. One can spend around an hour here. The palace is a good attraction to have a glimpse of Kerala architecture. Tickets can be bought online and on weekdays it was not crowded

A beautiful small palace (a Dutch palace) which is converted to a government museum.
Fee: very nominal fee
Only problem for seniors is that he/she has to climb the stairs.
Camera is allowed except at certain places where very old wall paintings are there.
Enough car parking is also present.

One of the oldest palaces in Kochi. Well maintained inside with lot of information related to the palace is displayed everywhere. Lot of old mural paintings and painting of the King can be seen there. Photography is prohibited inside the palace. The Jew street is at walkable distance from here. Parking is available for any vehicle.

A place of historic importance. Neatly maintained. Can see some of the old coins, headbands, outfits, weapons, palanquin, paintings etc...
A good place to bring young kids to teach them our history and culture...
Some parts of the palace is under renovation. Never felt it to be crowded on a public holiday. Kids really enjoyed looking at all the historic event description, old coins, weapons and outfits. The paintings were all outstanding and the architecture was amazing...

It's a beautiful palace. It's approximately 1 to 1.3km walk from the fort kochi jetty.
Entry fee is rs 5 per head. The palace is converted to a museum. It displays the history of the place, just a part of the palace is open to the tourists, although I wish there was an access to the courtyard it looked absolute splendid from the windows. If you are an architecture lover you will love it. The ceiling, the windows, the doors, The wooden works and the detailing everything is extremely gorgeous. Also it is really well maintained.

If you are really interested in history and museums.
We happened to visit it since it was on the way. There was not much to be seen and the palace (also known as Dutch Palace) was quite small comparitively. It has a few ancient weapons and few mural paintings. Can be given a miss if to don't have time.

It is not a big palace. If you have visited Padmanabhapuram palace, Mysore palace and all this one is no match compared to them. Still is a small palace with limited historical mementos, paintings, royal kingdom belongings which are kept for display. Hardly in 15-20 minutes you can visit the whole place. There aren't too much to visit. But near by this palace you will have Jew town which is a great place for shopping antique and unique products, perfumes gift articles and so on. Since many shopping attractions are present near to this palace you can visit it.

I would recommend to visit this place early in the morning as soon as it’s open, free from crowd. It takes 30minutes to 1hour for exploring. The only downside is it’s a bit warm inside, fans are placed at certain places alone. Outside you will be able to sit down and rest in the small garden space.

This place is also called the 'Dutch palace' where you can experience the theme of Dutch but the artistic skills of Kerala Murali Paintings, Wood Carving, Architectural amusements here. Photography is allowed inside the palace (except for the Kerala Murali Painting Rooms). Still the place is well maintained. Though we visited in the month of March, it was too hot. Make sure to carry a water bottle and an umbrella. There are a lot of shops around this place where mostly clothing, books, arts, and figurines can be found. For me, it mostly reflected the Portuguese style of streets rather than the Dutch ones. Maybe because both ruled the place at some point of time and hence the hint of both Dutch and Portuguese.

Tickets are for just 5₹
The architecture is more mesmerizing than the articles
What stands out is the illustrative paintings inside the palace sadly one can not click the pictures of them. You may click pictures of the other articles in the museum.
