(Translated by Google) Sugimoto Shrine is located in Daikoku-cho, Ino-cho. It is a shrine dedicated to Daikoku-sama and is called Ino no Daikoku-sama. There are many large trees growing within the grounds that give you a sense of history and nature, and the pleasant sunlight filtering through the trees. The hand basin is also wonderfully constructed. The next day was the spring festival, so the locals were preparing for the festival. There are a variety of items to be awarded, including fortune slips, talismans, votive tablets, and amulets, and you can also receive a stamp. On the opposite bank of the Niyodo River that flows in front of the shrine is Namikawa Park, which also appears in ``The Dragon and the Freckled Princess.'' Although this shrine's name is Sugimoto Shrine, locally it is known as Daikoku-san. Daikoku is Done of the Shichi-fuku-jin Seven Lucky Gods and is the god of wealth and the god that looks out for farmers. You can see images of him attached to most of the light posts in Ino. There is a big festival celebrating Daikoku in early spring every year and I visited a few days before while the place was being decorated for the big event. There was a cool collection of maneki-neko lucky cat statues and some impressive cedar trees, included one that had be truncated by a lightening strike. Definitely worth popping by if you are in Ino.

The museum is also interesting and exciting to visit, especially if you're interested in traditional Japanese craft.
(Translated by Google) I visited here because I wanted to make paper by myself. I told him, but there was someone who had experienced it before, and he was watching it, so even if he said, "As I said earlier, yes, turn it inside out"⤵️ Teaching, was there a lot of customers tired on Sunday? "Are you in a bad mood?" After all, it is difficult to understand unless you teach me to pick it up. The paper dries while you are watching. I made two sheets of A4 paper, so it took about 40 minutes, a little longer than the postcard size. There is a lot to see inside the hotel. It's also fun to look for paper at the shop. The elderly staff member who talked to me while I was watching was cheerful and kind, using the Kochi dialect. When I told them that I wanted the colored paper on display, they found it for me. I wanted paper with gold leaf scattered for calligraphy work, but it was not available. Paper made by yourself is thick. I don't have to back it up. Since it's A4 size, I think I'll try writing it in kana as well. Heart-shaped paper was also sold, so I bought a few and went home. The paper making and the exhibition were both fun!

Such an awesome experience to make this from pulp to paper. We loved especially how it was fully hands on .. you watch the instructor then follow yourself. The whole thing took less than 10mins and it was dry in30mins.during this time we explored the gallery which was extremely informative and has English available. After you get your postcard make sure to stop and apply some cool Japanese stamps if you want.

Staying here is OK. The twin room is large with a small toilet. Clean though somewhat worn. They have a marvelous shop selling really good local produce and the food is French style and yummy. Good cake. The guest rooms are very far away from the front desk and there are no elevators so you have to lug all your luggage up the high stairs.

(Translated by Google) This is my second time here since I came during Golden Week 6 years ago. Last time I was there, it rained heavily all day, so I didn't have much time to enjoy the scenery, so it actually felt like the first time. First of all, the receptionist was very friendly and kind. thank you very much. I used Autosite, number 3. I was told that I could choose either 3 or 5, so I looked at the actual location and chose 3. Because there is a large tree standing near the site, it provides shade. It was large enough to pitch a family tent and a tarp. The soil is quite hard, so it will be difficult to use good pegs. The wind blows quite a bit, so I'm grateful for a site like this where I can peg down so firmly. The toilets and showers are located across the street at a training facility. The toilet is not a washlet, but it is fairly new, so it was clean and comfortable to use. A water hole is located next to the site. There were several stoves. A forest school? Is it for groups? I think the number of faucets is sufficient for the number of sites. At night, there is only a small light at the training facility, but there are no street lights, so be careful when crossing the road. I think a headlamp or flashlight is required. Since there were no street lights, the stars could be seen very clearly. It gets surprisingly cold at night. I let my guard down, thinking it would be warm in Kochi Prefecture, but with the wind, it felt like single digit temperatures. Firewood can be purchased at the reception, 500 yen for hardwood and 300 yen for softwood. It was a great place and I enjoyed camping. thank you very much.
