The Chihiro Art Museum Azumino is a popular destination that showcases the renowned work of Chihiro Iwasaki, a world-renowned illustrator specializing in children's-book illustrations. Located in Azumino, the museum is surrounded by a beautiful park and can be easily accessed from Shinano-Matsukawa Station on the JR Oito line. The museum offers a scenic venue with watercolors and other illustrations for kids' books, along with a cafe.
Wonderful museum showcasing the works of children's books illustrator, Chihiro Iwasaki. Not only the art collection is impressive, but also the building itself is very interesting. There is also an English language digital guide, you can listen to the information about Chihiro and her works on your phone.

It's not just the museum. It's the whole town that has a good relaxing vibe. The exhibitions are nice and precise. The restaurant has a nice view and good foods. The museum shop has a variety of interesting souvenirs. The surrounding area of the museum is phoenomenon, mountains, stream, lavander field, rice field, etc. It's a good decision to come here instead of the Tokyo location. The Totochan square Chihiro park is also nice for book fans. You can't take photos inside the exhibition halls but outside and in the hallway it's fine.

Quiet, cute small museum with a wonderful little park. The artwork inside is mostly children related. The interviews and watercolors of Hiroshima survivors is quite powerful. I wish they had been translated to English. The artwork outside is not extensive, but is impressive. There is even a soft serve ice cream stand in the parking lot. It was quite tasty and the very nice lady who runs the stand is also a dairy Farmer who confirmed that it is made from the fresh milk from her farm.

This is a good place for local history Buffs and fans of ちひろーさん。 It is particularly good to see the old train and the classroom kept restored for future Generations - as well as the library and actual classroom . Anybody interested in local Japanese history should enjoy this place It also has a good-sized play area for children as well as a historically based souvenir gift shop and some food and refreshments are available. Obviously I have not mentioned the art which can speak for itself and its time period And feeling or emotion.

Museum full of art from children’s books. For me, it was a little boring. But the museum itself is spacious and clean. The garden was very neat and pretty.

I went with a special authorization for a night visit. Past midnight, there is no one and the sky is full of shooting stars. The place reminded me of old sci-fi movies and that made my night really extraordinary.

(Translated by Google) I have a lot to write about this place. First of all, although there is no admission fee, there is a huge antenna that is not familiar to the general public on a vast land, and you can enjoy it just by taking a walk. And there are signs everywhere on the walking path that indicate the purpose of this facility and the huge antenna, which is also useful for learning purposes. If you are interested in astronomical science, this is the best place. I visited by myself on a sudden holiday when I had a drive. I suddenly felt déjà vu while looking around the antenna, but what is it? When I looked around, I noticed. The continuous box-shaped building and the feeling that there is no sign of people is like Georges de Chirico's "mystery and melancholy of the city". Well, it's a personal impression, and it's just like that, so I'm sure it's an objection. Anyway, the huge antenna that is not in everyday life is a powerful facility that makes the perspective go crazy, and it is an exciting facility just by looking at it. I definitely recommend it when you come to Nobeyama.

(Admission is free) The large facility is overwhelmed by the rows of huge radio telescopes. The millimeter-wave interferometer in the foreground has a movable structure with long rails. From here onwards, you can't proceed unless your mobile phone is in airplane mode or turned off. If you go further, you will see a huge 45m radio telescope. It is surprising to think that this huge parabola is moving during observation. There is also an area where small parabolic antennas are neatly arranged. There was also a corner where you could experience the effect of a parabola, and I was able to experience how a whispered voice could be transmitted far away, and I was able to enjoy understanding. It's a pity that the museum is currently closed due to corona measures, but if you are interested in space, please check it out! By the way, the millimeter-wave interferometer and radio heliograph seem to have finished their activities. There are surveillance cameras here and there, but I only pass by a few people. It was hot with a little sunshine, but the cool breeze from the plateau that occasionally blows feels good. With the green mountains in the distance in the background, it's big! The space-like futuristic telescope group centered on the 45m radio telescope, which can only be described as, is worth seeing. However, I thought that the "National Institutes of Natural Sciences Nobeyama Exhibition Room" on the premises could be put a little more effort into it. I got the impression that they were just exhibiting what they were doing, and I think that researchers could present something more than children's independent research that would be more than enough to attract the interest of visitors. But if you're in the area, it's a good place to stop by. If you are open for a tour, there is no need to make a reservation, and you can turn off your smartphone or put it in airplane mode. The 45m radio telescope is large, but I was surprised to learn that the position and distortion are adjusted in increments of 0.1mm or less to improve observation accuracy. In order to change the placement of the radio interferometer according to the observation target, a track was laid so that it could be moved on a trolley. Mount Aka is the highest peak of the Yatsugatake Mountains, standing at an altitude of 2,899m. It offers breathtaking panoramic views, including a glimpse of Mt. Fuji from the top. This mountain is recommended for intermediate hikers and also marks the northernmost point of Yamanashi Prefecture within this region.
Hiking Akadake is one of the most interesting and memorable experiment in my life for sure. I would recommend this mount for upper intermediate hiker.

Loved the views front the top. Every pain in your muscle feels worth once you reach the top. The hike is not for complete beginner. So go with some idea in your mind that you will have to climb stairs and use chains to push yourself up from narrow and steep rocky areas. We didn't use a helmet to climb but felt the need of it as rocks slipped from our shoes also sometimes and we were worried if it's gonna hit somebody down. So better be prepared.

Pine resin was applied to slippery areas. However, they are exposed to the wind and rain all year round, and even if they look fine, there are some traps where one step of the stairs suddenly becomes damaged. I can't let my guard down. The helicopter was dispatched twice in the seven hours from early morning until we descended the mountain. Lookouts
Fujisan Kengamine, a popular tourist attraction, boasts of a remarkable weather station situated at the highest point of Mt. Fuji. The climb up to the station is quite challenging, especially from the southern side where one has to navigate through a slippery gravel path. However, attacking from the other direction makes it easier but still requires trekking down a steep slope for an entire loop.
(Translated by Google) As a Japanese person, my dream of climbing one day has come true✨ Since I wanted to see the sunrise while climbing, I checked the weather and decided to make a reservation for a mountain hut at the last minute, knowing that tomorrow was the only day I could go.I'm glad I took the plunge. I had decided that it would be a once in a lifetime trip, so I worked hard to visit the bowls, and as a result, I was able to see the sunrise at Japan's highest mountain, Kengarine, and then see the shadow of Mt. Fuji 👏 This is the place to go.

This weather station is a BEAST! I forgot to take any pictures up close that weren’t selfies. The highest point on Mt. Fuji, the last little climb up to the station is a bear. If you’re coming from the south, it’s a slick climb up a pretty significant gravel path to get up to the station. This was the first point in my climb that I used my poles, and the first time I though I might actually fall. Attacking from the other direction is easier, but then you still have to trek down the slippery slope if you want to make a full loop. Worth waking around when the sun is out for the extra views of the crater. Definitely nice during COVID times when you can go without crowds.

OK。 (Translated by Google) From my personal point of view, it is a bit unsatisfactory to conquer the summit of Mt. People who feel this rush to Kengamine, the highest peak. Commemorative photos at the stone monument of the highest peak next to Misumi Shop are popular, but the waiting time in the line is a little over 15 to 20 minutes. If you are on a tour or traveling by bus, we recommend that you adjust the schedule well after the fact. Also, if you have lined up, you want to take advantage of the superb view overlooking the crater of Ohachi from the rocky area behind the stone monument. You don't need to take a commemorative photo at the stone monument, and you don't have to wait in line if it's just a rocky place.

The topmost point in Japan! Feels awesome to be here. Just look around and you’ll see everything else is below you (other than the weather station built there, of course). Enjoy the moment in time when you are among the handful people standing at the highest peak in Japan. It’s crowded by the way. If you want to take a photo at the pillar which reads “highest point in Japan 3776m” then you need to stand in a long line. I suggest to avoid it cause the line in long and you can still enjoy the moment and take other photos standing at the peak.
