The wonderful beach of Perissa with black sand. A quiet place to rest and relax by the water, the entrance to the water is gradual. It is possible to take a boat from this beach to the nearby Kamari beach. The beach is situated in an environment of beautiful rocky cliffs. Great restaurants or beautiful typical blue and white Greek churches and attractions nearby. Recommend.

I am personally not a fan of black sand beaches but Santorini is not famous for its beaches so this is as good as it will get :-) there are plenty of food options and a nice beach club with music, drinks and umbrellas. Nice for relaxing during an afternoon.

This beach may not be everyone's cup of tea, since entering the sea is slippery due to the lava bottom which is slippery at start than there's ups and downs, and holes. But the beach... The sand on the beach is amazing, lava sand, black sand.

The beach it ok. Sand is dark. There is a lots of small stones. Under water is big stone. Is very slippery and every one schould be patient. Near beach is a lot of bar, restaurant. This is very pleasant place.

Perissa / Perivolos beach is such a nice place to visit when visiting Santorini. You can do water activities and water sports. Highly recommend jet ski-img, parasailing and crazy squab. Kayaking and other sports available. There are a lot of small businesses that offer this – have a look on Santorini views on how to book. The black beach has food stalls and restaurants across the whole side. Have a look at all the restaurants before choosing. Especially for cocktails, there are very good/ competitive bars for this and some are cheaper. You can get here on a bus from Fira. Not your typical sandcastle beach!

Very accesible beach to reach swimming point, black sand and than tiny pebbles. Very fun during windy days. Perfect to make it yo hometown for vacation.

Really enjoyed visiting this local beach. It would've been a long walk to the beaches of we'd come in the summer though. I saw where the parking for tourists and rentals are so far back because of all the shops along the street by the beach. Since we were here in March, I was able to drive all the way up to the beach and enjoy the place basically to ourselves.

A pretty black sand beach with white cliffs in the background. We came here pretty late though so it was quite empty, but we managed to catch a beautiful sunset here. The neighborhood feels a little run down after the other posh places in Santorini but it's nice for a quiet beach walk and checking out of some unique merchandise shops. The restaurants near the beach though feel like a tourist trap hence we did not feel like trying any of them but rather had gyros from a small place near the bus stop. Bus service to Perissa is pretty good though, even though the times hardly follow the printed schedule.

Nice black sand beach which stretches on for a few km's the back of the beach is lined by bars and restraunts most of which have sunbeds etc on the beach and a lot with sinbed service. If on an osland hopping holiday great place to end it with a relaxing few days after the craziness of Fira

They made my first dive a great experience! Staff is very warm, patient, and welcoming, they really work to make you feel calm and that makes the experience really special. I went with my husband who is an experienced driver and he had a great time too. The instructor allowed us to go at our own paces, which was perfect for us. Thanks to Stelios for a great experience!

Amazing experience. First time diving for us and we had way more than we expected. Very human and friendly guide, more than teaching us how to dive, he taught us about the oceanic and environmental condition of the spot we were diving in. Would recommand to anyone! Probably our best memory in Santorini

Awesome diving center with very decent prices. The staff is very nice and skilled. Our instructor, Kostas, was very helpful and patient. We saw very beautiful for spots even for beginners and the journey was pleasant. They even offer water and snacks and provide you with a certification of achievement after your dive.

Best diving experience I have had. The time and care provided made me comfortable to take things at my own pace and I enjoyed every second. I can not recommend the team highly enough. Looking forward to my next dive :)

Very good experience but too much expensive for 2 dives from the seashore. I have spent 170€ for me and my girlfriend for 2 dives each. We don’t use the boat. I’m experienced diver. For this dives in Italy usually spent more or less 80/100€ max for the double for 2. Also I have all the equipment except scuba tanks and weight belts. A good experience but it cost to much.

We stumbled upon the diving centre after our Santorini Circuit with Rat Race as we wanted to recover and they were amazing! We were very lucky to be assigned Marcos as our guide as he demonstrated enourmous knowledge and he was very friendly and patient. The dive is only off the coast, but I don't think you need to go further to have an amazing experience. Marcos knew where an octopus and that was just incredible. I would totally go back again once we finally get our PADI.

Santorini Dive Center Office is located in Perissa. The dives take place at the crater side of the island near Akrotini. The team is so nice, there are free drinks (water, tea, coffee) and the gear is safe and new. Our instructor Paul, who runs the company with his wife and has another dive instructor, even taught my 10 year old son how to dive. So everyone should be able to learn diving here, they are patient and nice. I strongly recommend this company. They deserve your booking! On one day Paul took underwater photos from everyone and distributed them to the participants. What a service. In times of covid I have to mention that everybody is keeping the distance and wears masks (in the minibus but under water too 😁), the equipment is sanitized and you always have to clean the hands with sanitizer. Safe place, even during Covid-19.

These are the best! Great team, fantastic experience, and well priced! This is their main office, they have a satellite site from where the dives depart, I have left a more thorough review there but I recommend it to everyone! They cater exceptionally well to experienced and novice divers alike! NB: To pay by credit card you must book your diving session here at the office, and not at the main diving site!

Very good dive shop. I have over 500 dives and I was happy with them. They take credit cards in Perisa shop, cash only Akrotiri. Very friendly. Dive leaders kept a good eye on the group. Long slow safety stops. They include rental equipment with the price of diving. Rental equipment was in good shape.

Santorini dive center is amazing. The dive masters Dimitri, Mark, and Pavlos are amazing. Always checking up on you and know the most amazing spots to dive! Anna at the office is amazing at giving directions and arranging transport. Martin is the driver and also a dive master he is amazing as well. The whole time we were laughing and having fun, the positivity is refreshing. I would definitely recommend this dive shop to anyone looking to dive Santorini!!

Rented a buggy for 3 days for €150. Quick and easy to get a vehicle, just had to leave driving licence with them while you took it. Buggy allowed us to see much more of the island than we expected. Friendly service but not very informative regarding traffic laws etc. Trunk in the back handy for putting bag in. Small glovebox which was meant to be lockable but didn't work.

Rented an ATV for a couple of days. Walked in, shown how to use it, very efficient, no messing about. Was staying next to the rental shop, so parked it there at night. Just remember to bring your passport or some form of ID to leave with them, (not your driver's license). Really nice staff, good selection of vehicles. Very relaxed. The top box didn't have a lock, so if you want to leave anything in that, bring a lock. Although in Santorini I think putting a lock on it would only attract attention, it's a very safe island from what we saw. Great way to see the island, you're not really going to great around much quicker using anything else, and you don't have the hassle of parking. Pop in to the bakery across the road for coffee and pastries delicious!

Mark and his wife were extremely helpful during our rental process. No haggling necessary, they were straight forward and gave us the best price (we shopped around at 4 different places before finding Mark’s and his prices were by far the best). The ATV we rented was reliable and the process was easy and seamless. They were also very kind, letting us return our bike at a special time and being very considerate of our needs. We couldn’t be happier and highly recommend them to all visiting!

Easiest way to book a ATV. Really good service. 20 euros gets you a full tank and with this you can go up north and down south twice. The company is responsive with issues if you have any and ensure a good service. If I was in Santorini I would use again for sure. Thanks

Excellent service and communication. We rented an ATV for 5 days and everything went smoothly. They told us that we needed our international drivers licenses, so we wouldn’t have any problems in Greece. The ATV was delivered at the Santorini airport and Miri gave us all the explanations about the ATV and where to go. When it was time to leave Santorini, one of the team members came to the Ferny port to retrieve the ATV. I Definitely recommend Mark’s bikes!

Best rental shop and team on Santorini. I needed multiple machines for my family. They met us on time, ensured we had the right size equipment. We even had a small problem with a rear box that ended up locked and they were responsive and fast to help...and at checkout, helped us with flexibility to change some plans. Best guys around!

Amazing people to work with, brought the ATV to our hotel and we dropped it off there as well when we were done. ATV worked great and it was a great price compared to other places on the island. Highly recommend!

Absolutely great place for a nightcap, with superfriendly Bob Jr and staff as well. Cheap cocktails, excellent, diverse soundtrack and a resident kitty who they’ve adopted (BUT PLEASE TREAT HER with flea shampoo guys! She’s covered with them! And spay her!) Big downside tho is cash only so negating a star for that.

What a great bar! Really friendly and drinks are fantastic. We were there between Oct 24 and Oct 29, Elias and crew (even the president!) made our visits their a good laugh and very, very drunk, hic. If you are staying in Perissa, it’s just a short walk from Perissa Beach or if you are coming from further out, it’s a 20/25 min bus ride from Fira bus terminal. Looking forward to visiting again, might as well start lining them up for me now!

And with over 40 different C'tails, you are spoilt for choice. Drinks were reasonable and service was quick and done with a smile. Watching the Football Bristol City v Cardiff City. Nice bar and very cheap, pints are 4€. They have Alpha Beer in Draught and Mythos, Mamoz, Heineken and Kaiser Pils in 500ml bottles. Cider and loads of spirits and local wine. It's a 4/5mins walk from the beach where everything is about 2/3€ more expensive. The only downside is the road outside is the only road into Perissa and can be busy. The vibe is Jazz dance music not too loud. Met a nice Hammers 🔨 fan and watched the West Ham v Brighton game for a bit with him.

Super quick service. Cheap Drinks (for santorini) €4,50 for a pint and €8 for a cocktail. Great Music, strangely enough it was the perfect volume. Couldn’t complain about anything if I wanted to. The bar’s kitten is super cute too! :)

10 of us and a 7 month old child waiting for the group to gather outside Dorians bar as a meeting point we went across the road to Bob's bar and were greated with a very abusive member of staff who sounded a bit drunk. And because of his bad attitude we left without buying anything. His loss of at least 100 euros for 10 nights.As we left he swore at us. Bad move as this is the 3rd. Vist in 3 years. Avoid at all costs.

We went here to watch man u game as we googled best place for football. The manager (bob) was awful to his staff and sat at one of the tables getting drunk the more whiskey he drank the more leary he became to young girls that were sat having a drink The bar is scruffy the beer is flat. The football which we read was the best to watch at his bar kept stopping After the match Bob kept playing his music full blast as he was pist He shouts people in off the street from his seat to come in for a people to come in for a drink i wouldnt bother We wont be going there again we will watch it on the sea front from a nice bar.

I was going to watch the football in the bar opposite, but it was pretty full, so went here instead. I had 1 beer €5, asked for the same again, tried charging me €7. My wife came to join me, but complained the sound was too loud, you couldn't hold a conversation so we left at half time.

Fantastic local family run business and the cheapest place for Polaris buggys, well priced and would definitely go back to them again. Also they have quite a selection of mopeds and quads should you prefer them. I've had previous experience with this kinds of vehicles but I did see them fully explaining to those who needed the help so that they could get as much out of the vehicles as possible. Would easily recommend to anyone that is staying in Perissa

Fast service. The only rent that closes at 23hrs. This is excelent because the sunset is around 21 hrs. Only thing bad is that their high season start before compared to another rentals. So if you rent it for the day and want to see the sunset this is the rental. If you are not interest in the subset go for another cheaper rental.

Excellent rental place! Newer and better serviced ATVs (I tried renting someplace else and I did not feel safe on their ATV, returned it on the spot). Trustworthy business owners, insured, and in general we had a perfect experience renting from this agency. Helmets are included in the price. I would suggest you look into renting sooner than later as all rentals are in great demand, especially on this side of the island.

Awesome rental place! Super nice family with great prices. My boyfriend and I were staying in Perissa and used them to rent an ATV two days in a row, both times they were super helpful and made us feel safe/secure with the rental and process. On the first day we had some difficulty driving off the lot but they were more than happy to help us and assure us we were OK. They also gave us their phone # incase we got stuck anywhere on the island and they would come help/pick us up. 10/10 would recommend!!!

Hired a 450cc quad bike for 3 days. Picked up from our accommodation to collect the bike and dropped back when we returned it. We got to see the whole of Santorini. So worthwile hiring the quad. Great customer service. Highly recommend

Very secure service! They pay close attention to whether you are fit to ride on their vehicles (taking into account age, your license and experience). That shows that they care about their vehicles and the person that will be driving it. The staff is very friendly and they have reasonable prices. If you are staying in Perissa this is a good place to rent a scooter/motorbike/quad/buggy to explore the island.

We rented a scooter, which was clean, in good condition, strong enough to carry 2 persons. The owners were very nice, they gave us a map and showed us the ways around the island. Both times we rented here, there was no problem. Would rent here again!

Wanted a 125cc scooter for a few days , spoke with Catherina on front desk very helpful explaining all the procedures. Nice family business. Catherina father explain how bike works , as in locks , lights , top box all those sorts with no problems . When back to Santorini this is the place to look for and will recomend to my friends . The worst bike and motorbike rental! We rented 2 bikes and took them on a tour. At one point, the air went out of the tire and we called for service. After 30 minutes, the service technician graciously arrived. The Lord was very rude and started shouting at us. He jerked the bike shouting that * there are bad tourists like us on vacation *. At the end, he said that if there is no air in the tire again, he will not come to help us and we will deal with ourselves. Besides, the bikes were rusty. I do not recommend, unpleasant experience for the customer Its response The bicycles were not like being in a garbage can, but were gently leaning against each other because there was no special place to put them away. The road leading to the red beach was not forbidden, and we did not ride down the bikes, but walked them on our feet (which we explained to the technician, who still shouted). Rude employee. I arrive hoping to rent a scooter with a class B drivers licence. In almost every country of the world a class B licence allows you to drive cars, scooters, atvs and other vehicles. Up to 125cc when it comes to motorcycles. The employee was so rude about me just wanting to do buisness with them. Here in Santorini they seem to be a bit paranoid about travelers on motorcycles relating to lots of accidents recently. Now my licence includes the use of motorcycles up to 125cc in europe and has never been a problem. Okay so rules are rules, i get it. No problem. However the way this person acted and the attitude she gave off was so rude. This rental also has ATVs and Buggies that my licence allows the use of even here where the rules are a bit special. The employee offered no alternatives, not even explaining if no alternatives were available. No referals to other places that have normal cars. All in all i can understand why they only get a rating of 4.0, maybe if they would be a little bit friendlier the customers would be happier.

We rented 2 ATVs for a day, staff was very friendly and explained the vehicles well. The quads were in good shape, we had no problems visiting the whole island in a day. Helmets are provided, not brand new but they did the job. We appreciated the uncomplicated service, can only recommend!

Great experience with these shop. They came to pick us up, gave us simple but complete details for the booking of the quad. Also very flexible for the return and the payment. They gave us a lot of good advises sfor the visit of Santorini. I laugh when I see comments about racism, they were very friendly eventhough I am 100% black. Martha is a really kind person. She waited for us at the airport. We made a reservation from thursday untill saturday. We wanted to rent the scooter for an extra, but because of Easter we saw on the website that it was not possible. Martha was really flexible and told us that we could use the scooter an extra day and put it at the aiport again. Everything without extra costs. Besides that we got some lovely tips from Martha! It made our stay at the island more beautiful! The scooter had a good condition and everything worked fine.

Moto Empire was very easy to work with and they delivered and picked up the ATV at our hotel. Like many businesses on the island, they use WhatsApp for faster response. My wife and I loved driving all over Santorini on the ATV to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. The 170cc model has plenty of power. From past experience, the 150cc struggles a bit with steep hills. I definitely recommend using Moto Empire for your rental. Their online payment system is secure, unlike many other rental companies on the island.

Fantastic! We booked the scooter online, from the first moment they were super nice. We had our hotel in Oia, no took the scooter to our hotel. We found ourselves very well, the only flaw that we had to take a scooter 50 since we did not have the required license in Greece. We found ourselves in Perissa and passing through there they changed the oil and did a check on the wheels. They were of a formidable kindness. Super recommended.

If you going to Santorini you will need a form of transport to get you around the island. We searched high and low for a reasonable place to hire a buggy, which I think is the safest way of travelling. Martha at Moto Empire was very helpful give us a good deal for 5 days and would recommend them anytime. The buggy itself was fairly modern and very clean. Definitely 5 star service and price

This is the most beautiful building in Perissa. Built in a typical Cycladic style, with beautiful blue domes and white walls. It is a 1-minute walk from the beach of Perissa (Colada) . With a lovely patio and many stylish ornaments of the Entrance door. The interior is fully in place of a Christian church. Unfortunately not every day is open to visitors. The second name is Timios Stavros(most popularly)

We stayed at Villa Dima and we had an amazing view of this beautiful church. The church is open every Sunday and can be visited by the tourists and local people.

Our home church ⛪️and also a photoshoot spot. When coming to perissa the bus stop is right outside this church. So when coming to perissa you can use this as a landmark

Really nice site in Perissa, it is located next to the black beach in Perissa. It is a really beautiful site if you visit Perissa make sure to check this out, unfortunately when I visited it wasn’t open so I couldn’t go in but from then outside it looked very nice. There are plenty shops nearby and there is a car park nearby if you need to park your car.

The only negative is the crowds. It's a beautiful island and sailing into the caldera is one of the most amazing sites. If you can go off peak, April - May or September - October you will enjoy the experience so much more.

Beautiful Island with plenty to see! A bit pricy but well worth it!

Fantastic island, well worth the trip and lives up to the expectations. Be sure to get away from the rim. Oia is worth a visit, but we spent most of our time away from there. Sunset cruise is a must. We rented an ATV to get around and the locals hate those things but tolerate them and we never had anybody cut us off. Castello Veneziano in Emporio as well as the whole town is a great walk and much less touristy. Theros Wave bar, the ruins of Akrotiri, Venetsanos Winery, Skaros Rock, were highlights for us.

Beautiful island, well known for its white and blue Cycladic houses where most units have a soaking pool facing the sea to enjoy the sunset. Fantastic view of the sea and sunset. Had a terrific stay in Santorini. Accommodation, food and activities are pricey on the island.

It's actually quiet right now..many places closed..I can only imagine how summer is here little.bubble of.sunshine..heat bank draining visit..etc its actually not bad..if you pick a nice hotel..to rest after a hard walk around the island

This island is just unbelievable. If you have a chance to plan a 3 day stop here - don’t hesitate do it - you won’t regret. Oia is the most beautiful part of the island to stay (but also most expensive). Breathtaking views of White House’s with blue domes built on a volcano cliff. Plenty of delicious food options and THE MOST beautiful sunsets in the world - Google it - I didn’t make it up :-)

Today, I would like to specifically describe the Airbnb village we live in, Anpo (Ε), which is located in πo of π. It is a small village, a small village on the Greek island of Torini. , The host put the name of this very nice lover very good, and they are all in Airbnb, and they like to move from the airport bus to Fhira, and all the items are in Airbnb. Two 1.6 euros are enough [color] In order to satisfy the Chinese stomach, I walk to buy freshly salvaged seafood every morning at 2 o'clock in the morning, which is also very convenient. The supermarket is also very close, and the things you want to buy are also cheap. Therefore, I think that children have more prices and more economic places to find a new home here. A great island to see, espacially in June before it gets super crowded. To me you have a lot to see and enjoy if you stay 3 or 4 days. For a longer stay I am not sure if you don't get bored. Perhaps you can keep sunbathing for the rest of your stay...

A gem on earth. The place is very clean, people are very nice and the atmosphere is great. Many restaurants, shopping and plenty of cats on the street that are friendly.

Beautiful island . Can't really enjoy it in one day , from a cruise ship . Should have taken one of the 4 or 6 hour boat tours . One hour and 15 min. wait (in the sun ) for the cable car down to the boat dock . The famous stairs were 30 to 45 min. walk, and you had to maneuver through the donkeys and their dung. Restaurants didn't open till noon , but the food was excellent .

Ive done quite an in-depth review and due to its length I’ve had to do it in several parts I hope you find it interesting and useful. Santorini review part one. Santorini review October 1st - 6th In this review I will cover as much as I can & try to give the best advice as I think some reviews are lacking. Obviously I can only comment on my own experiences and what I personally heard. I hope you find this informative & useful. I will say this time of year places start to close. Places are quieter because of this and the atmosphere might not be as it is mid season but quieter also means no queues and more room to move. We wanted to come to Santorini as many people do I guess after seeing photos of the blue & white buildings of Thira (Fira) & Oia (Eeya). Obviously when choosing you have to take in what kind of holiday you want & how much you have to spend. In my opinion if you want the beach then maybe you will want to stay in Perivolos or Perissa (there maybe other beach resorts but I have no knowledge of these) which is located to the south of Mesa Vouno, the large rocky mountain that stands on the south east of the island & separates Perissa & Kamari . In Perivolos & Perissa there are many lovely places to stay. Many are the villa type hotel where you have your room and basic kitchen appliances to prepare food if you want to. Others have a restaurant attached. Most have swimming pools and are very close to the beach which is a black course volcanic sand which runs all the way along the coastline until Perissa where the rock stops you from going any further. The road that runs parallel with the beach is tarmac mostly with some needed repairs along the way which could twist your ankle if you’re not careful. There are no pavements on this side of the rock so keep your wits about you especially at night as street lights are not much of a thing here. The road is lined with restaurants all trying to compete with each other apart from 2 or 3 mini markets up as far as Perissa where you will find a little more choice and maybe a clothes shop or 2. About half way along this road between Perivolos & Perrissa there is a bus stop (Perivolos Termini) which you can find on the map. Just up the road from the bus stop which goes away from the beach (T junction) there is another bus stop at the mini market (Perivolos crossroads) the buses here are coaches and get pretty full so be prepared to have to stand. It’s about €2.20 each to go to Thira then €1.60 from Thira to Oia. Travelling to Oia (from Thira) sit on the right hand side of the bus for a good veiw. On the way back the bus takes a different route. Review on these places to come further on. Also I might add the bus station is a small place so watch out as all buses have to reverse in from a busy road. Villa Eleftheria Our hotel was Villa Eleftheria in Perivolos. It was a lovely quiet place. Clean & tidy run by a small family (grandfather & his wife and their 2 sons of about 30 years old which maybe twins, one of which has a wife with 2 young children. I might also add although courteous I think the family lack something. It’s almost like they would rather not speak to you. One brother especially seems he doesn’t want to be there. They could be a little more friendly and approachable). A nice choice at breakfast, bacon, eggs (boiled,fried or scrambled) small hotdog like sausages, mushrooms, toast, pastries, fruit & cake. Not sure what the deal with the coffee machine was as one of the sons would man the coffee machine everyday asking everyone what they wanted and giving it to them when it had finished. It would only produce half a cup of a small cup. The rooms have a little outside sitting area with a table & chairs. The bed was very comfortable with nice pillows but I guess this is depending how you like it. All the towels were of good quality, there were even bath robes and slippers if you needed them. Everything had been embroidered with the hotel logo.

Its amazing island 🏝️ There are many wonderful places and the sea there is very beautiful. You can also see the white color in all the buildings, and this is something special about this wonderful island. It is also preferable to go in the summer to enjoy it, and it is better to rent a car so that you can visit every place on the island with ease, as it is far from Athens is approximately half an hour away by plane

Super expensive but the views are amazing. There are plenty of relaxed activities to do, go to the beach, walk the picturesque Fira, enjoy the view from Oia or even take the ferry to a nearby island.

Smiling and welcoming owner with really nice products at a decent price compared to other tourist traps on this island. The lady is making her own jewerly creations and selling beautiful clothes, she was even speaking in French to my mum. Overall really good experience and great vibe from the lovely owner, and look at this beautiful silky dress!!!

Hands down the best giftshop in town. The owner is the sweetest and the articles are a very nice quality. She is very helpful and will tell you the history or meaning behind the symbolisms of the items your are purchasing if you ask. She has some really good quality dresses (but you can also find the cheap touristy stuff there if that is what you are looking for). The selection if souvenirs seems to be a bit more authentic and differs from other shops. Even if you do not need anything, just wander in and say hi, you will not regret it.

Went there looking for a summer dress and Lilian was very helpful and made me feel right at home choosing the best dress for me.

This was one of my absolute favorite places to go. We were on a bus tour around Santorini and we needed towels to go swimming at our stop. We found towels and a whole lot more in here. The owners were so sweet and helpful and even let us use their changing room not to just try on clothes but to change into our suits as well. If you want fair prices and hospitality this is the place to stop!

OMG OMG OMG OMG This place Amazing Aunt Lili was phenomenal - our luggage was lost by the airlines and we had an island tour scheduled. The tour lunched at Perissa Beach and we saw the old cellar and went in to see if there was anything we could wear until our luggage was found. Aunt Lili basically was so helpful, so kind, she felt like family🥰. ...I know what you're thinking... tourist village, of course she was welcoming... So so so not the case - I would recommend her store to any of my family or friends. She is an amazing human🥰🥰🥰

I have bought a nice Greek T-shirt here, the price was right and the fabric was very good quality. the woman who works there is very friendly and authentic from Athenes. My wife has also bought a small bracelet, she likes it. I recommend it
